Facebook Fatwa on Rifqa

Rifqa’s life is now on the line. Back in September I reported at my website AtlasShrugs.com on the first Rifqa Bary Facebook Fatwa: a Facebook group that said openly, “we need to kill her,” and was full of Muslim members. Now add this to the list of fatwas and death threats against Rifqa Bary: a Facebook group, again with numerous Muslim members, proclaiming, “Don’t save Rifqa Bary, let them kill her.” Although I have called attention to that group, it is still on Facebook. It has 64 members, all of them apparently Muslims. Not a Moishe in the mix.

Obama’s Anti–Wall Street Jag – National Review Online – Obama needs a villain as long as he can’t plausibly tout his own record

We want our money back” is a battle cry you’d expect from a tea-party rally. Such lack of nuance. Such grasping materialism. Such us-vs.-them populism.

All the great and good should be expected to recoil from such a grubby sentiment. If it weren’t for the fact that Pres. Barack Obama has made the line the centerpiece of his call for a new tax on banks. A year into his presidency, Obama is attempting a brazen misdirection.

Pelosi: Mass. Election Won’t Stop Health Bill

With Democrats increasingly anxious about the special election in Massachusetts on Tuesday and what it will mean for their big health care legislation, the House speaker, Nancy Pelosi, told reporters in California Monday that the legislation would move forward not matter what.

“Let’s remove all doubt,” Ms. Pelosi said. “We will have health care one way or another.”
