Discernment: Where do we go from here?

We’re hearing from people all over the world who are very concerned about the changes they are seeing in Christianity and in their own churches. These trends toward syncretism, or New Age mysticism, or this emergent theology that teaches us to re-shape Jesus into a feel-good purveyor of tolerance toward sin– these false teachings seem to have infected every denomination of Christianity.

Four more years of decline – Cal Thomas

Great nations and proud empires have always collapsed from within before they were conquered from without.

President Obama’s reelection mirrors the self-indulgent, greedy, and envious nation we are rapidly becoming.

Christian Pastors Issue Dire Warnings After Obama Win

Evangelical preachers who came out strongly for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney (and even some who didn’t endorse) have voiced their angst in the wake of President Barack Obama’s re-election victory. But in addition to showcasing their personal dissatisfaction with the results, they also issued warnings of Biblical proportions.

U.N. plotting takeover of Internet

The United Nations is about to discuss whether it should have the power to regulate the Internet.

Next month, the 12th World Conference on International Telecommunications, or WCIT-12, will be held in Dubai. At the meeting, the 193 member countries of the U.N.’s International Telecommunications Union, or ITU, will consider renegotiating a fairly obscure treaty known as the International Telecommunication Regulations, or ITRs.

Future history and the times we’re in

America has spoken, and the next four years are taking us in a direction that — however you look at it — does not surprise our God. We have voted to idolize our flesh and throw God under the altar of the golden calf.  Many of our prophets, and Jesus Himself, talked about these things happening as our time in history draws to His return.

Could the election results be a part of those birth pangs?

Rep. Frank Wolf Asks Why Rick Warren, John Piper Are Silent on Persecution

Congressman Frank Wolf, who has been a champion of human rights, is hard pressed to understand why U.S. churches are silent when it comes to advocating for persecuted Christians.

The Republican Virginia rep. specifically called out big-name pastors such as Rick Warren and John Piper for their non-activity, especially at a time when Christians and other religious minorities in Syria and Egypt are at greater risk for persecution.

The Democrats’ problem with God – Farah

The despicable, amoral Democrats, like Akin’s unworthy opponent, incumbent Sen. Claire McCaskill, and their warped allies in the news media twist and distort the intent of such statements to obscure the real issues facing the nation and demonize God-fearing, righteous and imperfect men like Akin. The absurdity of the situation reached a crescendo when establishment Republicans, such as Karl “the architect” Rove, publicly joked about murdering Akin for his out-of-context quotation and, to this day, refuse to support Akin with money specifically raised from donors across the country under the false pretense of supporting all Republican candidates for the Senate and House.

Godly Character Is Formed in the Little Moments

The little moments of life are profoundly important because they are little. Little moments are the ones we live in every day. The character and course of a person’s life isn’t set in three or four grand, significant moments. No, the character of a person’s life is shaped in 10,000 little moments. You carry the character formed in the mundane into those rare consequential moments of life.
