The Independent reports:
The number of Christians living in England and Wales has fallen by four million in the past decade, the 2011 Census reveals.
The data shows that numbers fell from 37.3 million in 2001 to 33.2 million last year.
Christian News Network reports:
Despite recent comments that he would never again make statements on political matters that could be construed as public declarations, Rick Warren, author of the best-selling book The Purpose Driven Life and pastor of Saddleback Church in California, recently posted a message on Twitter to his 800,000 followers reinforcing his opposition to a largely church-supported homosexuality bill that is set to pass this month in the East African nation of Uganda.
I’ve spoken to newly married girlfriends who have shared their frustrations with their new spouse. There is generally some area that the women wish their husbands would improve on, and they are growing weary waiting. We generally come to the same conclusion—their husbands may need to grow, but perhaps the wives are struggling with being judgmental and self-righteous. We can look at our men, see sin, and be too quick and eager to point it out.

Tears at Tron – “A Glasgow congregation which is leaving the Church of Scotland because of the Kirk’s stance on gay ministers held its last service in its building yesterday.” This is a congregation formerly pastored by Thomas Chalmers, Eric Alexander and Sinclair Ferguson.
Selling American Girls – This article in Forbes is heartbreaking. “The sex-trafficking of U.S. children is America’s dirty, little secret. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, human trafficking is the second fastest growing criminal industry — just behind drug trafficking. Approximately half of all victims are children.”
Birds of Paradise – All the talk of evolution is a bit exasperating, but the video footage in this film (which is a 5-minute trailer for a longer production about birds of paradise) is remarkable. What you can’t help but notice, other than the birds, is that these people are driven near to worship, and yet do not acknowledge the One who is worthy of worship.

Christianity Today reports on the apparently growing trend of Pentecostal pastors in Nigeria owning private jets.
Prompting this article was the gift of a private jet to the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Ayo Oritsejafor, by members of his Word of Life Bible Church. The 10-seater jet was given in celebration of the pastor’s birthday and his 40th anniversary ministry.
Christianity Today (CT) writes that Oritsejafor “joins a growing list of preachers with private jets in the West African nation, which is Africa’s largest oil producer.” Read more of this post
