White House Tweets Messianic Photo Of Obama Casting A Rainbow

“This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal”

“For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.” Isaiah 14:13-15 (KJV)

The White House yesterday tweeted a photo of Barack Obama stepping of of Air Force One, his hand raised high in the air and perfectly in line with a rainbow in the background sky. Obama wants you to know that he has powers that you and I do not possess. He wants you to know that he and he alone is in control of your destiny. This photo is how he views himself, as someone who has the power to cast a rainbow.

white-house-tweets-photo-of-obama-casting-a-rainbow

Is Obama really that much of a sick narcissist? Yes, he is. Remember, he is the same guy who said this while running for office in June of 2008:

“The journey will be difficult. The road will be long. I face this challenge with profound humility, and knowledge of my own limitations. But I also face it with limitless faith in the capacity of the American people. Because if we are willing to work for it, and fight for it, and believe in it, then I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth. This was the moment – this was the time – when we came together to remake this great nation so that it may always reflect our very best selves, and our highest ideals.”

Has anyone, in the history of any nation in any time, ever run for office on a platform of “stopping the rise of the oceans and healing the planet”? At the time when America desperately needs a leader who loves this country and is able to guide her through these tough and challenging times, we have instead an out of control, narcissistic, demonic Peter Pan who thinks he’s the Messiah.

God help us.

Warm Blob in Pacific Ocean Linked to Weird Weather Across the U.S

Posted: 12 Apr 2015 07:22 AM PDT

Warm Blob in Pacific Ocean Linked to Weird Weather Across the U.SA mysterious “warm blob” in the Pacific Ocean could be the reason why US West coast states like California are experiencing their worst ever drought, a new study says. The blob in the ocean was discovered last year, with temperatures one to four degrees Celsius (two to seven degrees Fahrenheit) above surrounding ‘normal’ water, causing havoc to West Coast marine ecosystem and led species to seek refuge elsewhere. The blob extends about 1,000 miles (1,600 kilometers) offshore, from Mexico up to Alaska, and was 300 feet (90 meters) deep.

A study by the University of Washington found that a high-pressure ridge could be causing the blob, by trapping heat in the water. Dr. Nick Bond, a climate scientist at the University of Washington, coined the term ‘the blob’ in June. Researchers said it may have contributed to the state of Washington’s mild 2014 winter and might signal a warmer summer. It is still unclear how this area of warmer water has formed, or how long it will stay. One thing scientists can be studied is its effects. As air passes over warmer water and reaches the coast it brings more heat and less snow, which the scientists say helped cause current drought conditions in California, Oregon and Washington. Bond says all the models point to it continuing through the end of this year.

The new study explores the blob’s origins. It finds that it relates to a persistent high-pressure ridge that caused a calmer ocean during the past two winters, so less heat was lost to cold air above. The warmer temperatures we see now aren’t due to more heating, but less winter cooling. The researchers said that it might not only be causing warmer temperatures on the West coast, but also cooler temperatures on the East coast. It could also be playing a part in circulating cold and wet air to the central and eastern states of the US. The study also found the blob has an effect on marine life. Fish have been spotted in places where they normally belong and the warmer, less nutrient-rich water is disrupting the food web. FULL REPORT

Americans opting out of Common Core tests in droves

Posted: 12 Apr 2015 07:12 AM PDT

Americans opting out of Common Core tests in droves Across the United States, concerned parents and students are refusing to participate in new tests aligned with the federal government’s Common Core state standards, and international journalist and educator Alex Newman could not be more excited about it.

“The explosive growth of the opt-out movement has been one extremely encouraging development in a sea of bad news when it comes to government education in the United States,” Newman told WND. “As more and more parents and teachers realize what is going on with Common Core, I expect this movement to continue growing by leaps and bounds.”

Newman, the co-author of “Crimes of the Educators: How Utopians are Using Government Schools to Destroy America’s Children,” believes Common Core and its affiliated tests are not just ineffective but dangerous.

“There is no doubt that this Obama scheme to nationalize education is designed not to educate children properly, but to shape their minds with propaganda and reduce their critical thinking abilities for nefarious purposes,” Newman said. “As we show in our new book (“Crimes of the Educators”), rather than improve education, Common Core is the next phase in the education establishment’s destruction of American children. One state lawmaker with an education degree told me this plot was ‘state-sponsored child abuse.’ He is right.

”Many parents and students appear to have reached a similar conclusion, choosing to opt out of the Common Core tests. For example, nearly 1,000 students in the Portland, Oregon, Public School District have opted out of taking the new Smarter Balanced tests scheduled for later this month. The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) is one of two federally funded multi-state consortia in charge of developing tests aligned with Common Core standards. FULL REPORT

From Iran To Cuba, Obama Is Forming Alliances With America's Enemies

Obama and Castro are expected to meet again on Saturday and talk about their efforts to restore full diplomatic relations and boost trade and travel between the two countries. Their rapprochement, first unveiled in a historic policy shift in December, is the central issue at the Summit of the Americas meeting in Panama. “The days in which our agenda in this hemisphere so often presumed that the United States could meddle with impunity, those days are past,” he said.

GIVING IRAN A PLATFORM FOR FINISH CREATING NUCLEAR WEAPONS

With a potential Iran-US nuclear deal in sight, Secretary of State John Kerry spent much of the past week consulting with allies and reassuring those nervous about the prospect. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel addressed Congress to warn that the terms as publicly reported would make it a “bad deal,” which would still leave Iran with a nuclear infrastructure that it could use to eventually make bombs.Obviously, Obama lied through his teeth in this video. In 2015, Obama is wooing Iran and despising Israel. Iran has nuclear reactors and related facilities in Arak, Bushehr, Gachin, Isfahan, Natanz, Parchin and Qom operating 24 hours a day. Read all about it here. America, are you really, really that stupid? Did Obama really place “crippling sanctions” on Iran? Not enough to “cripple” any of Iran’s 7 nuclear power sites, obviously. FULL REPORT

Deadly Bird Flu Hits Ninth Minnesota Farm

Posted: 11 Apr 2015 08:02 PM PDT

Deadly Bird Flu Hits Ninth Minnesota FarmA ninth Minnesota turkey farm has been hit by a form of bird flu that’s deadly to poultry, this time in a large Jennie-O-Turkey Store operation that has 310,000 turkeys, federal authorities and company officials say.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture said tests confirmed it was the same highly pathogenic H5N2 strain of avian influenza that infected eight other farms in Minnesota, the country’s top turkey-producing state. Those farms have lost about 373,000 turkeys to the outbreaks between the disease itself and birds that were killed to prevent the disease from spreading.

Minnesota Board of Animal health spokeswoman Erica Gunderson said the Meeker County operation has 10 barns on various sites. She didn’t know immediately how many birds were in the infected barn, but said state officials would be working to determine what to do with the turkeys in the other barns.

Jennie-O, a division of Hormel, said on its website that it’s the first company-owned facility to test positive for the virus. Three previous confirmed cases connected to Jennie-O were flocks that were being raised by independent contractors. Those were in Kandiyohi, Stearns and Lac qui Parle counties.

Officials say the risk to the public is low and there’s no danger to the food supply.

U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar met with state Agriculture Commissioner Dave Frederickson, state Health Commissioner Ed Ehlinger and other state and federal officials to discuss the importance of a coordinated response to contain the disease and to protect the state’s turkey industry. She plans to meet with turkey growers in southwestern Minnesota later this week. FULL REPORT

Attorneys Warn U.S. Supreme Court: ‘Gay Marriage Could Bring God’s Judgment on the Nation’

Attorneys Warn U.S. Supreme Court: ‘Gay Marriage Could Bring God’s Judgment on the Nation’A legal brief recently submitted to the U.S. Supreme Court warns that forcing states to recognize same-sex “marriage” could bring God’s judgment upon the nation. As previously reported, in January, in light of contrasting appeals court decisions, the nine justices agreed to take up a case that would determine whether or not the U.S.Constitution provides states the right to ban same-sex nuptials. The case is set to for oral argument this month with a decision in June. “This case before this Court is this nation’s tower of Babel. At issue is whether we as a people are going to continue to conform the institution of marriage to the one created and established by God, or instead will reform the most sacred of human institutions into something else chosen by an elite set of jurists,” reads the amicus brief, filed by the U.S. Justice Foundation of Ramona, Calif. and the law offices of William Olsen of Vienna, Va. Several other Christian attorneys joined in the submission, including Kerry Morgan of Pentuik, Couvreur & Kobiljak P.C. in Wyandotte, Mich., James Clymer of Clymer Conrad, P.C. in Lancaster, Pa. and J. Mark Brewer of Brewer & Pritchard, P.C. in Houston, Texas. In addition to warning that requiring states to recognize same-sex arrangements would continue to have detrimental ramifications for Christian business owners, churches and society in general, the attorneys spoke of the spiritual consequences for such a decision. “The Holy Scriptures reveal that God created mankind, male and female, in the image of God,” the attorneys declare, pointing to Genesis 1:27 and Matthew 19:4-6. “Homosexual sex and homosexual marriage are a repudiation of God’s created order.” FULL REPORT

California’s Record-Breaking Heat & Drought “Is Only The Beginning”, Worst seen in 1000 Years

Sinkholes as Deep as Eight-Story Buildings Form Along Shoreline of the Disappearing Dead Sea

Sinkholes as Deep as Eight-Story Buildings Form Along Shoreline of the Disappearing Dead SeaThe Dead Sea is disappearing at an alarming rate, leaving behind thousands of sinkholes that are chipping away at the coastlines vibrant and touristy atmosphere. The Dead Sea – which is actually a lake – is known for being almost 10 times as salty as the ocean and for having the lowest elevation on Earth. However, over the last few decades, the shoreline has become known for sinkholes that appear to just pop up out of nowhere. More than 3,000 sinkholes exist along the banks of the Dead Sea, ABC News reported. And some of these craters dive 80 feet into the ground – the equivalent of about an eight-story building.Gidon Bromberg, the Israeli director at EcoPeace Middle East, told ABC news that “these sinkholes are the direct result of inappropriate mismanagement of water resources in the region.” The Dead Sea is robbed of 2 billion gallons of water each year because of water diverted from the lake’s main water source – the Jordan River – since the 1960s, according to the American Associate, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Mining of minerals from the Dead Sea has also contributed to the disappearance of the lake’s dense and salty water. The 2 billion gallons of water translates to a decline in water levels of a meter every year (on average) or a total of 30 meters since 1970, according to research conducted by Duke University. “With the Dead Sea level dropping so rapidly [a meter a year, on average], these sinkholes are inevitable,” said Mark Wilson, a geology professor at the College of Wooster. While researchers have agreed on different hypothesis, not many disagree that the declining water levels are behind the phenomenon. 8 Signs You Are Under A Spiritual Attack

Posted: 11 Apr 2015 05:29 PM PDT

8 Signs You Are Under A Spiritual AttackMany people are facing spiritual struggles as they attempt to advance in the things of God. One of the primary tricks of the enemy is to get a person deceived and not realizing the depth of what is taking place in their lives. Oftentimes people assume that the struggle they are facing is just a natural battle yet just beneath the surface there is something far more complex taking place. They are under a spiritual attack! What is a spiritual attack? A spiritual attack is a series of events coordinated by the demonic realm in order to abort promises, shipwreck faith, oppress a believer and stall out destiny. Paul reminds us: “lest Satan should take advantage of us. For we are not ignorant of his devices” (2 Cor. 2:11) The Bible tells us that the devil has various plots and schemes he uses against human beings. Many people wrongly assume that Satan is stupid, yet he has been studying the thoughts, actions and behavior of humanity since the beginning of time. He knows how to tempt people. His minions are masters at pushing the right buttons at the right time! We must not be ignorant to the strategies of the enemy. We can not live our lives with our spiritual eyes shut. We must walk in the spirit and be aware of what is taking place around us. How can you identify a spiritual attack? Here are eight symptoms of an attack. FULL REPORT

200 Years After Tambora, Indonesia Most at Risk of Deadly Volcanic Blast

Posted: 11 Apr 2015 05:12 PM PDT

200 Years After Tambora, Indonesia Most at Risk of Deadly Volcanic BlastTwo hundred years after the biggest volcanic blast in recorded history, scientists have ranked the countries most at risk of a deadly volcanic eruption. Today (April 10) marks the 200th anniversary of the 1815 Tambora eruption in Indonesia. The enormous explosion changed global climate, causing a “year without a summer” in the Northern Hemisphere. Sulfur dioxide from Mount Tambora lingered in the atmosphere for several years, cooling the planet and triggering crop failures, famine and human disease pandemics in North America, Europe and Asia. “People were eating cats and rats,” said Stephen Self, a volcanologist at the University of California, Berkeley and an expert on the Tambora eruption. There is a 30 percent chance of another Tambora-size eruption striking this century, according to a new global volcanic hazard report prepared for the United Nations. An international team of experts, known as the Global Volcano Model Network, culled reports of the death and destruction wrought by volcanoes and ranked the countries most likely to face such future disasters. The report, called “Global Volcanic Hazards and Risk,” will be published in May by Cambridge University Press.  Indonesia remains the country most at risk of another deadly volcanic eruption, according to the new report. To create the rankings, the scientists considered how often volcanoes within a country have erupted in the past 10,000 years and their different hazards. For example, ice-covered volcanoes can unleash fast-flowing mudflows called lahars. One of the most lethal volcanic events in the past 400 years was a lahar that raced down Colombia’s Nevado del Ruiz volcano in 1985, killing more than 23,000 people. FULL REPORT

Mass beaching fuels Japan Earthquake fears

Mass beaching fuels Japan Earthquake fearsThe mass beaching of more than 150 melon-headed whales on Japan’s shores has fuelled fears of a repeat of a seemingly unrelated event in the country — the devastating 2011 undersea earthquake that killed around 19,000 people. Despite a lack of scientific evidence linking the two events, a flurry of online commentators have pointed to the appearance of around 50 melon-headed whales — a species that is a member of the dolphin family — on Japan’s beaches six days prior to the monster quake, which unleashed a towering tsunami and triggered a nuclear disaster. Scientists were on Saturday dissecting the bodies of the whales, 156 of which were found on two beaches on Japan’s Pacific coast a day earlier, but could not say what caused the beachings. “We don’t see any immediate signs of diseases on their bodies, such as cancer. We want to figure out what killed these animals,” Tadasu Yamada, a senior researcher at National Museum of Nature and Science, told public broadcaster NHK. Despite the lack of any clear link between the beachings and earthquakes — and comments from local officials downplaying such a connection — many took to social media to point to the link. FULL REPORT

Toxic cocktail of smog and blood rain to hit Britain this weekend

Posted: 11 Apr 2015 06:53 AM PDT

Toxic cocktail of smog and blood rain to hit Britain this weekendBritain is bracing itself for a toxic cocktail of smog and blood rain this weekend. Parts of the UK are facing soaring levels of air pollution as African dust from the Saharan desert mingles with city pollution, prompting health officials to issue warnings to vulnerable people. And sun-seeking Brits have been told the smog, partly made up of dust blown over to Britain from the deserts of North Africa, could even turn into blood rain if there is a downpour leaving cars stained red, yellow and brown. MeteoGroup forecaster Mario Cuellar said: “Blood rain is dust in rain from the Sahara. “Some of this dust currently in the UK’s polluted air could be found on cars after rain on Friday night. “Spain saw this ‘blood rain’ or ‘mud rain’ yesterday as the Saharan dust moved north.” Blood rain is the term used when rain mixes with sand from deserts. Storms in the Sahara desert whip up sand into a fine dust which is carried for more than 2,000 miles to Britain. When the rain falls it looks a reddish colour and when it dries it leaves a thin layer of dust capable of coating houses, cars and garden furniture. Although it is more common in Spain and the South of France, it has been known to travel longer distances and fall in areas like Scandinavia. The high pollution levels this weekend have triggered Government warnings that people with health problems should reduce their physical activity. Much of central, eastern and northern England will be blanketed in smog with some of south-east England affected by very high pollution. FULL REPORT

Untreatable tick-borne virus found in Connecticut

Posted: 11 Apr 2015 06:47 AM PDT

Untreatable tick-borne virus found in ConnecticutAn untreatable, and sometimes fatal tick-borne disease is turning up in parts of southern Connecticut, according to one expert. Dr. Theodore Andreadis, head of The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, told WCBS 880 that the Powassan virus has symptoms similar to those of Lyme disease, including headache, nausea and fever. Once contracted, there is no treatment for the virus, and the disease can often be fatal, Andreadis said. While there have been no reported human cases in the areas, Andreadis said that people who venture into wooded areas may encounter deer carrying ticks. “These ticks will transmit this virus when they feed within a matter of hours, whereas with Lyme disease, for example, ticks generally have to feed up to two days before they’re capable of transmitting it,” Andreadis told WCBS 880. The virus can often be symptomless before often infecting the nervous system and causing encephalitis and meningitis. Survivors can develop neurological symptoms such as muscle wasting and memory problems, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. FOX NEWS

Enforcement Of Mandatory Water Restrictions Is Only Just The Beginning

Enforcement Of Mandatory Water Restrictions Is Only Just The BeginningSmart meters are now being used by authorities to crack down on “water wasters” in the state of California, but this is just the tip of the iceberg as far as what they can be used for. Ultimately, smart meters are designed to be part of an entire “smart grid” that will enable government bureaucrats “to control everything from your dishwasher to thermostat“. And in recent years, there has been a massive push to install smart meters in as many homes in the United States and Europe as possible. Back in December 2007, there were only 7 million smart meters installed in this country. Today there are more than 51 million. On the other side of the Atlantic, the European Parliament has set a goal of having smart meters in 80 percent of all homes by the year 2020. This is being promoted as the “green” thing to do, but could it be possible that there is more to these smart meters than meets the eye? FULL REPORT

19 Signs That American Families Are Being Economically Destroyed

Posted: 10 Apr 2015 08:49 PM PDT

19 Signs That American Families Are Being Economically DestroyedThe systematic destruction of the American way of life is happening all around us, and yet most people have no idea what is happening. Once upon a time in America, if you were responsible and hard working you could get a good paying job that could support a middle class lifestyle for an entire family even if you only had a high school education. Things weren’t perfect, but generally almost everyone in the entire country was able to take care of themselves without government assistance. We worked hard, we played hard, and our seemingly boundless prosperity was the envy of the entire planet. But over the past several decades things have completely changed. We consumed far more wealth than we produced, we shipped millions of good paying jobs overseas, we piled up the biggest mountain of debt in the history of the world, and we kept electing politicians that had absolutely no concern for the long-term future of this nation whatsoever. So now good jobs are in very short supply, we are drowning in an ocean of red ink, the middle class is rapidly shrinking and dependence on the government is at an all-time high. Even as we stand at the precipice of the next great economic crisis, we continue to make the same mistakes. In the end, all of us are going to pay a very great price for decades of incredibly foolish decisions. Of course a tremendous amount of damage has already been done. The numbers that I am about to share with you are staggering. The following are 19 signs that American families are being economically destroyed. FULL REPORT

Disney-ABC to glorify anti-Christian bully in new sitcomIf you didn’t know who Dan Savage is until today, it’s probably a good thing. But right now we need you to familiarize yourselves with one of the cruelest, most vile political activists in America. Why? Because ABC and Disney announced their plans to air a sitcom Dan Savage developed loosely based on his life. A perusal of Dan Savage’s work reveals a career built on advocating violence — even murder — and spewing hatred against people of faith. Savage has spared no one with whom he disagrees from his vitriolic hate speech. We have included examples below, but be warned, they are extremely graphic and offensive. FULL REPORT

NY Times Says Biblical Christianity Is What’s Stopping Full Acceptance Of The LGBT Agenda

NY Times Says Biblical Christianity Is What's Stopping Full Acceptance Of The LGBT AgendaCHRISTIANS HAVE MOVED FAR BEYOND SCRIPTURE WHEN IT COMES TO GENDER ROLES

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah 5:20 (KJV)

The liberal rallying cry these days is that the bible is nothing more than “ancient texts” with little to meaning or relevance to our daily lives in our cutting edge, technology-laden, social society of 2015. These is heard not only in the New York Times piece we are discussing today, but also prevalent in the worship-du-jour Emergent Church as well. But before you throw out the baby with the bath water, they are right about one thing. The only reason why there has not been an across the board buy-in on the same-sex lifestyle is because the last remnants biblical Christianity is preventing it. But like the legendary Titanic after it hit the iceberg began to take on water, the professing Christian church in America has already begun it’s lisping descent into Laodicean apostasy.

FRANK BRUNI, WRITING IN THE OP-ED SECTION OF THE NEW YORK TIMES TODAY, SAID THIS:

“Several prominent denominations, which have come to a new understanding of what the Bible does and doesn’t decree, of what people can and cannot divine in regard to God’s will. And homosexuality and Christianity don’t have to be in conflict in any church anywhere. That many Christians regard them as incompatible is understandable, an example not so much of hatred’s pull as of tradition’s sway. Beliefs ossified over centuries aren’t easily shaken.”  FULL REPORT

Will the Church Wake Up Before God’s Wrath Falls on the Nation?

Posted: 10 Apr 2015 08:13 PM PDT

Will the Church Wake Up Before God’s Wrath Falls on the Nation?I’m sober. I’m awake. I see—and report—on the tsunami of perversion that’s rising. I don’t have my head in the sand. I lift my voice against the antichrist agendas that have infiltrated our government, schools, media, entertainment, medical and other fields. It’s dark out there and it appears to be growing darker. Yet, amid my sobriety and vigilance, I am not in utter despair. Desperate, yes, but not in despair. Indeed, I am wide-awake but ever hopeful that God will bring a transforming revival to America. I am watchful but confident that God is going to bring a Third Great Awakening—a greater Great Awakening; the greatest Great Awakening the world has ever seen—to our land. I see an emerging move of God even now. Yes, many in our nation have turned their back on God—many never knew Him. But God has not turned His back on this nation. Yes, the hedge of protection around America has been at least partially lifted. But God still has His hand on these United States. God does not delight in seeing a nation that was birthed in covenant with Him fall—and God has not broken His covenant with us. He’s just waiting on American to be repent so she can be born again. I was greatly honored this week to be on “The Line of Fire,” revolutionary radio with Dr. Michael Brown. I work with Dr. Brown week in and week out on Charisma News, publishing his hard-hitting, yet compassionate columns. Over the years, I’ve learned quite a lot from how he approaches difficult subjects and he’s been kind enough to help me wade through the backlash that often results from my own hard-hitting, yet compassionate columns. Obama Opens First Gender-Neutral Bathrooms at White House

Posted: 10 Apr 2015 08:06 PM PDT

Obama Opens First Gender-Neutral Bathrooms at White HouseThe White House has opened its first gender-neutral restroom in what is seen as a symbolic step by President Barack Obama to protect the rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community in the workplace. White House spokesman Jeff Tiller said the “all-gender restroom” is in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building where many employees have meetings and offices and is next door to the West Wing which houses the president’s offices. The initiative is the latest in a series of actions by Obama to support the LGBT community. On Wednesday, the president issued an executive order barring companies that do business with the federal government from discriminating against LGBT staff. “The White House allows staff and guests to use restrooms consistent with their gender identity, which is in keeping with the Administration’s existing legal guidance on this issue,” Tiller said in a statement. Obama has taken a firm stand over the past year or so on gay and also transgender rights, an area of debate that is becoming hotly contested. Last year, in a presidential first, Obama used the word “transgender” in the annual State of the Union address and he has also endorsed same-sex marriage, marking what may be one of the most significant advances of his presidency.  Also on Wednesday, he called for an end to psychiatric therapies that seek to change the sexual orientation of gay, lesbian and transgender youth, also known as conversion therapy. The number of gender-neutral bathrooms has grown in the United States in recent years, in workplaces and in colleges, but the White House’s initiative comes as some U.S. states mull legislation that would curtail transgender people’s ability to chose what restroom to use. Christians Sue IRS for Covert Deal Against Churches

Posted: 10 Apr 2015 07:58 PM PDT

Christians Sue IRS for Covert Deal Against ChurchesAlliance Defending Freedom filed a federal lawsuit Thursday against the Internal Revenue Service for failing to produce records on its secret deal with an activist group to investigate churches. Federal law requires the tax agency to produce the records that ADF requested under the Freedom of Information Act in July 2014, but the IRS missed its legally required deadline months ago and has continued to stonewall the request. Judicial Watch attorneys are representing ADF in the lawsuit over the FOIA request, which asked that the IRS produce documents related to a legal settlement in which the agency apparently adopted new protocols and procedures for church investigations. ADF is requesting the same information already provided to Freedom From Religion Foundation, which struck a deal with the IRS to end the lawsuit Freedom From Religion Foundation v. Koskinen. “Americans deserve to know what the IRS is up to,” said ADF Litigation Counsel Christiana Holcomb. “The agency’s unwillingness to produce these records only furthers the perception that it makes secret deals with activists that it wishes to hide from the public. The IRS’s delays make no sense because we only asked for the same information that it already provided to Freedom From Religion Foundation. The IRS has forced us to file this lawsuit just so we can obtain what the agency is already legally obligated to produce.” “The Obama IRS seems oblivious to the federal court’s orders to provide full information,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “With the help of a compromised Justice Department, the IRS has engaged in prolonged stonewalling. The IRS thinks it can toy with a federal court, Congress and the American people. For over two years, the administration has been hiding information on the IRS’ targeting of Obama’s political opponents. It is certainly in the public’s interest to know what the new IRS guidelines are for investigating a basic First Amendment right.” FULL REPORT

(CN) — Officials in Colorado have ruled in favor of a baker who refused to decorate two Bible-shaped cakes that featured messages and images against homosexuality, finding that she did not discriminate against the Christian who placed the order.William Jack of Castle Rock visited Azucar Bakery in Denver last March, at which time he placed an order for two cakes, both of which were to be shaped like Bibles. The first was to have read, “God hates sin. Psalm 45:7″ and “Homosexuality is a detestable sin. Leviticus 18:22,″ and the second was to have stated “God loves sinners” and “While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. From Iran To Cuba, Obama Is Forming Alliances With America’s Enemies

“The days in which our agenda in this hemisphere so often presumed that the United States could meddle with impunity, those days are past,” Obama said.

EDITOR’S NOTE: There is a reason why, until Obama, the United States had no relations with Cuba. They are a hardcore Communist regime in line with Russia, and since the early 1960’s, a sworn enemy of the United States. They have not changed that policy in 2015. But it is precisely because of their Anti-American stance that Obama is so infatuated with wooing them. And to our loyal allies like Israel, he treats with scorn and contempt.

PANAMA CITY – President Barack Obama and Cuban President Raul Castro shook hands on Friday at a summit in Panama, a symbolically charged gesture as the pair seek to restore ties between the Cold War foes.

obama-meets-raul-castro-cuba-iran-americas-enemies

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel addressed Congress to warn that the terms as publicly reported would make it a “bad deal,” which would still leave Iran with a nuclear infrastructure that it could use to eventually make bombs.

Obama practicing Taqiyya during the 2012 reelection campaign:

Obviously, Obama lied through his teeth in this video.

In Obama’s Muslim faith, the practice of Taqiyya allows for a Muslim to tell lies and practice deception if it results in the promotion of Islam. This is exactly what Obama does when he is campaigning or giving speeches. He tells you exactly what you want to hear, then when he gets the authority and power he desired, he goes ahead and does what he originally planned to do anyway.

I don’t even recognize America anymore, I truly don’t. The Fourth of July used to be one of my favorite holidays, now it just makes me sad.

Jeb Bush: Obama Gladly Meets with Castro but Snubs Netanyahu?

A historic meeting between US President Barack Obama and Cuban President Raul Castro on Saturday has left many wondering where Obama’s true allegiances lie.

The meeting, which took place during the seventh Summit of the Americas in Panama, is the first time since 1958 that a US and Cuban leader have held a significant meeting. At the time, Dwight D. Eisenhower was president of the US and Fulgencio Batista was in charge of Cuba.

Pope Francis Urges Quick Action on Climate Change, Set to Unveil Official Church Position

by Marsha West

Many in the scientific community dispute the notion of climate change. So before climate change is blindly accepted, we must understand that not everyone who promotes it is well informed on the subject. Likewise, there are some climate change promoters whose motives are purely financial as a result of “green” technology. With that in mind, NBC 10 reports that Pope Francis “is preparing the first ever papal letter to the church’s bishops focused on the environment.”

He could call for us at any moment. Yet while we remain, we have front row seats to the playing out of the “end-times” prophetic scenario. Every day, we are witnessing the coming together of conditions that must be in place for the arrival of the Antichrist and the False Prophet.

Why The Critics Of The Ontario Sex-Ed Curriculum Are Right

This brings us to the Ontario sexual education curriculum, whose convictions on human sexual health are not liberating but deleterious. Once again, the debate lies between parental and state jurisdiction in creating a just society. But at the heart of the Ontario sex-ed curriculum is buried the perverse claim that children raise themselves. This is explicit from the very outset of the curriculum, which commences with the teaching of consent to six-year-olds.

Naive Young Evangelicals and the Illiberal DNA of the Gay Rights Movement

There is no room for naivety about our current cultural crisis. Only within the evangelical world naivety is the dominant problem. Young evangelicals who are increasingly sympathetic to their cause want to make nice with gay marriage while supporting religious liberty, but until we are given arguments for how they can coexist given our current legal and political history, we have no more reason to think that is possible than that we could unwind marriage from politics altogether (which is the ultimate libertarian fantasyland).

The Corporate Testimony of the Worship of Christ

A biblical understanding of worship sees every Lord’s Day corporate gathering as an extraordinary event where the people of God come into the presence of the Almighty and through His blessed gift of the means of grace grow spiritually in their understanding of His attributes and the thorough and perfect nature of the sacrifice of the Son of God for the sins of His sheep. This is something that we cannot receive in any other way than through the ordinances that God has graciously given to us.

What They Despise Is the Fact that God Discriminates

God does discriminate according to morals. Now don’t get me wrong. Christians are justified by faith, but justification produces sanctification. Sanctification is all about morals. This is the reason that in the gospel all people are called to repentance. Christians pursue “sanctification without which no one shall see the Lord” (Heb. 12:14). This is why the Bible speaks of being judged by works, because works are the evidence of faith (2 Cor. 5:10).

Liberals are in this respect right to say they’re not trying to kill religious liberty. The Gospel Coalition and the Cliff Ahead

He just wasn’t paying attention. There can be not doubt that this husband had zero intention of forever shattering his life and marriage. Nonetheless that’s what sadly happened on March 28th when he drove his car off a partially demolished bridge in Chicago while traveling to a family event with his wife. After plummeting 37 feet, their car exploded into flames and his wife was tragically killed, unable to escape the wreckage.

The bridge had been demolished for nearly 6 years and many signs preceded its end into a sheer cliff. There were orange cones and large barrels, concrete barricades, and even massive signs which read, “ROAD CLOSED.” But he sped past them all. How can you miss such obvious signs? Only if you’re not looking for them. That is, if you’re being distracted by something that seems more urgent and eye-catching. In this case, it was his car’s GPS. So intent on following the arrows and commands through an unfamiliar part of town, this poor man stared at a computerized navigational system right off a bridge. GPS technology was more captivating than the obvious signs warning of a cliff ahead.

Lately, I’ve been wondering whether the same is true for The Gospel Coalition. Being so captivated by its nuanced arguments and influence that it’s ignoring the signs to the obvious as it barrels along.

Joy in Singleness, part 2: Gifted to live singly for Jesus

Joy in Singleness part 1

While some singles are waiting impatiently for God to change their circumstance,
other singles are not walking in a fog of depression but joyfully serve from His gift

Singleness in the church today. Singleness in the Body Christ is forming for His glory. Though there is a heavy focus on married couples in preaching, ministering, and fellowship life, there are single people in the church. We know this by the data the Census and the Christian church demographics. Yet as the number of singles in the church increases, churches are increasingly either unable or unwilling to minister effectively to this normal segment of the family of Christ.

Many single people report that they feel left out, overlooked, or worse, are treated as second-class citizens in church life.

This is part two of a three part series on being single in today’s Christian church. I’d said yesterday in part one that we can drill down even further into examining what the Bible has to say about being single. In my view, there are two branches of singles. Some people are single because they are going through a life phase in God’s timing where marriage hasn’t happened for them yet, or they were married and are now widows or widowers, perhaps to marry again. Others are temporarily single as spouses serve in the military, work far away, or are incarcerated. I’m not discussing these singles, these precious folks who know that God will provide a mate for them.

The other type of single today are men and women Jesus calls and ordains as single permanently. It’s the divinely ordained singles I’ll discuss. These are modern-day ‘eunuchs’, as Matthew 19:12 illustrates. The Bible directly teaches the gift of singleness, the status whereupon Jesus is forming people for His glory who will never marry, or if they were married, will never marry again. Rarely does preaching, ministry, or church fellowship reflect this biblical reality.

In this part I’ll look at what the scriptures have to say generally about singleness. In part 3, the last part, I’ll look at specifically named single individuals in the Bible and their work for the glory of Jesus.

Joyful in Singleness part 3: Famous biblical unmarrieds

Joyful in Singleness part 1
Joyful in Singleness part 2Are you one of a partly hidden minority in the body of Christ who has felt led by the Lord to remain single and celibate for all your days? I’m not talking about unbiblical vows of celibacy like the false Roman Catholic Church forces on its priests and nuns. I’m asking if you are one of the blessed recipients of what apostle Paul called a gift of singleness.

Though marriage is the norm for most people, and it is indeed an institution created by God, and it is a picture of our coming union with Christ, marriage is not given to everyone. Never mind that the average person on earth is single for a good portion of their lives. Americans now spend more years of their adult lives unmarried than married.

Two Questions About John The Baptist

Ask a Bible Teacher

Q.  I have two questions about John the Baptist, and how he was filled with the Holy Spirit in the womb.  First, what prophecies were there about John in the Old Testament? And second, (and this makes me sound a bit anti God, I’m not, I just would like to know what you thought of this) – was it not a bit imposing of God to fill John with the Holy Spirit in the womb, involuntarily? John didn’t ask for the life that he had, it seems like it was sort of forced upon him.  I can’t work out how this is justified, I’d appreciate your thoughts. continue reading

GTY Blog: Mutual Submission

Ephesians 5:21

Code: B150410

by John MacArthur

The unbelieving world has a skewed, cynical view of submission. In fact, humility and submissiveness are not generally seen as character qualities, but condemned as weaknesses. It’s one of the many ways the world distorts and inverts God’s design.

Godly Prescriptions

Scripture frequently calls Christians to be humble and submissive people. In Ephesians 5, Paul suggests that the Spirit-filled life is not a fight for the top; it’s a fight for the bottom. That’s exactly what Jesus taught too: “If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all” (Mark 9:35). “Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted” (Luke 18:14).

In a community of believers, then, the principle of submission governs all relationships. Every individual submits to all others. That is the very situation Paul described in Ephesians 5:21: “Be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.” Peter said the same thing in 1 Peter 5:5–6:

All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but give grace to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time.

Throughout the New Testament, the Greek word often translated as “submit” is hupotasso (from two words: hupo, “under,” and tasso, “to line up, to get in order, or to be arranged”). It speaks of ranking oneself beneath another. As Christians, this is the mentality that should govern all our relationships: “With humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others” (Philippians 2:3–4).

Divine Humility

After all, that was the example our Lord set for us. He refused to consider equality with God a thing to grasp. He stepped from heaven into this world, making Himself of no reputation, coming in the form of a lowly human—like a bondservant—even submitting to a shameful death on the cross on behalf of others (Philippians 2:5–8). In doing so, He gave us an example of how we ought to walk (1 Peter 2:21).

That is why we are to be submissive in all our relationships with one another. That is at the core of truly Christlike character, and it is also the single most important principle governing all personal relationships for all Christians. Christians are supposed to submit to one another.

Authority, Not Anarchy

Don’t misunderstand or misapply that principle. It doesn’t abolish the need for leadership or the principle of authority. It certainly doesn’t eliminate official positions of oversight in structured institutions. In the church, for example, pastors and elders fill a God-given role of leadership, and the Bible instructs church members to submit to their elders’ spiritual leadership in the life and context of the church (Hebrews 13:17). Likewise within the family, parents have a clear, God-given duty to exercise authority and give guidance and instruction to their children, and children have a reciprocal duty to honor and obey their parents (Exodus 20:12; Proverbs 1:8).

In fact, as Scripture plainly teaches,

there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. (Romans 13:1-2)

So the principle of mutual submission isn’t meant as a prescription for absolute egalitarianism. It certainly does not mean that no one is supposed to be in charge in the church, the government, or the family.

Common sense affirms the need for authority structures in human society. Of course, the largest of all social structures is a nation. Every legitimate nation must have a government. No nation could function without authority. God Himself designed society to function under governments. That’s why both Romans 13 and 1 Peter 2:13–17 remind us that God ordained governmental authority. Rulers, kings, governors, soldiers, policemen, and judges are all necessary “for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right” (1 Peter 2:14). Without them, there would be anarchy, and no society can survive anarchy.

Likewise, even in the smallest of human institutions—the family—the same principle applies. A family cannot survive anarchy. Someone must be responsible for discipline, direction, and spiritual leadership. Scripture recognizes this, too, as we’ll see when we delve further into Ephesians 5 and 6.

Authority and Submission in the Family

Nonetheless, when it comes to one-on-one interpersonal relationships within all those institutions, the principle of mutual submission must govern how each of us treats one another. Even the person in a position of authority must be Christlike in his or her dealings with all others—which, of course, still means esteeming others better than self. Again, Christ Himself is the model for what that kind of leadership looks like. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).

Mutual submission is the principle, then, that Ephesians 5:21 spells out: “Be subject to one another in the fear of Christ.” To illustrate and further explain how the principle of submission is supposed to work in the framework of institutions where God has ordained authorities for leadership, Paul turned to the most fundamental of all human institutions, the family.

He could have illustrated authority and submission by explaining how the principle applies to human government. In fact, Paul did that very thing in Romans 13, and Peter did it in 1 Peter 2:13–16. He might also have explained the principle of submission by showing how it works in the context of the church. He did that in 1 Timothy 2 and 3. But here Paul’s subject was mutual submission, so he used the family—the smallest and most intimate of all human institutions—to demonstrate how mutual submission is supposed to work on a personal and individual level, without obliterating the need for the God-ordained authority that governs every human institution.
