President Obama promised Persian Gulf nations that the U.S. will come to their defense against any external attack and that any final deal signed with Iran will cut off the Islamic Republic’s path to a nuclear weapon.

The U.S. House passed legislation Thursday that would let Congress review any nuclear deal the U.S. reaches with Iran.

As a June 30 deadline approaches for a nuclear deal with Iran, the fate of four Americans imprisoned or missing in the Islamic Republic hangs over the talks and has provoked a debate on Capitol Hill.

Saudis View Obama With Increasing Disdain
The Saudis and Bahrain, like the Israelis, are deeply concerned by the U.S. effort to create a new détente with Iran. The president may have thought he could essentially replace the Saudis with Iran as the lynchpin of a new Middle East strategic vision without paying a price. But the Saudis understandably want no part of this. The result will be a region made even more dangerous by the Arabs, as well as the Israelis, coming to the realization that they can’t rely on Washington.

Friends, Comrades, Zionists! It is time we acknowledge Alaric I and his descendents as the true and rightful rulers of the Vatican. As you recall, the good Alaric took control of the Vatican on August 24, 410 CE, and turned it into a city of Visigoths. Ever since then, the rights of the Visigoths to self-determination and freedom in the Vatican have been denied by Church authorities. But these rights to the eternal city are eternal and must at long last be acknowledged.

Syria’s circle of hell
The Syrian conflict entered its fifth year this March, a fact barely registered around the world. Syria may not have entirely disappeared from the radars of the world community and world powers but the focus and direction of their engagement has certainly shifted. The international focus is no longer on the unprecedented humanitarian crisis that the Syrian people have been battling or the continuing, appalling atrocities and crimes of the Baathist regime in Damascus. Nearly 300,000 Syrians have lost their lives and almost half of the country’s desperate population has fled to take refuge in neighbouring countries like Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq. Many more are risking their lives to reach more distant and attractive options in the west.

10 Pictures That Show How America Is Becoming A Lot Like Nazi Germany

Prison Fence - Public DomainThe history books tell us about how evil and wicked the Nazis were, so why aren’t we more alarmed that the United States is becoming more like Nazi Germany with each passing day?  More than three years ago, I wrote an article entitled “25 Signs That America Is Rapidly Becoming More Like Nazi Germany” which got a ton of attention.  Unfortunately, nothing has gotten better since I first published that piece.  Government control freaks are still watching us, tracking us, recording our phone calls and monitoring our emails.  TSA thugs at our airports are still fondling the private parts of our women and children and laughing while they do it.  Our police and our military are still training for civil unrest and martial law in America.  And even though our politicians are socializing our economy and destroying our constitutional freedoms, the American people keep sending most of them back to Washington time after time.  It is an incredibly sad thing to watch the country that you love slowly die right in front of your eyes. (Read More…)

The Catholic Church Has Gone Socialist

Since we published our article, “Catholic Church Captured by ‘Progressive Forces,’ [1]” it is starting to dawn on many in and out of the media that Pope Francis has come down on the side of the “progressive,” and even Marxist, forces in the world today. Writing at the Blaze.com and commenting on the pope’s friendly meeting with Cuban dictator Raul Castro, Catholic writer Stephen Herreid [2] of the Intercollegiate Review called the pope’s dealings with Castro and other Marxists “a new Catholic scandal” as significant and terrifying as the presence of pedophiles in the church. He wonders [3]…

Vatican Facilitates Russia’s Designs on the Middle East

Pope Francis has formally recognized [1] a Palestinian state, even though it does not exist. While the media have noted that the Vatican’s curious action has created some controversy, there has been little discussion of whether “Palestinians” actually do exist, where the modern-day concept of a “State of Palestine” came from, and which major power benefits from the creation of a nation under the control of the Palestine Liberation Organization in the Middle East. American-Israeli political commentator and journalist Sha’i ben-Tekoa told Accuracy in Media, “Starting with Chapter 2:1 of the…

Why The Trans-Pacific Partnership is Dangerous

Congress, led by Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Speaker John Boehner (R-OH), is preparing to betray American workers, and the grassroots should rise up and say “No, you don’t.” The secretive underhanded deal is called Fast Track, and that’s an appropriate title because, indeed, it puts Americans on a fast track to lower wages and fewer available jobs. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL), one of the few Members of Congress who have actually read and studied Fast Track plus its companion trade bill called Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), has compiled a list of objections to it that are downright…

The idea is, “I’m so great, you have to approve of me—or else.”

This attitude also may explain why people tend to be so easily offended these days. Self-worship never stops at self.

Obama’s Nuke Deal Gets Loads of Skepticism

Once Barack Obama signs his deal with Iran, that’s it. Re-imposing sanctions or striking down the nuclear deal will become very hard — even if Iran does weaponize its nuclear program. On Thursday, Congress passed its resolution watering down its role in treaty negotiation by requiring a 30-day review of Obama’s treaty before voting on it. Essentially, Obama’s deal can be struck down only by veto-proof majorities in Congress. Meanwhile, Russia announced it will not allow an automatic snapback of sanctions if Iran is found stuffing fissile material into missiles, and it can use its position as one of the veto votes on the UN Security Council to prevent such a diplomatic move. By doing so, Russia is currying favor with Iran.

Finally, Obama hosted leaders of countries in the Persian Gulf at Camp David Thursday, trying to assure them that this nuclear deal is in their best interest. But after reading the joint statement released after the meeting, Charles Krauthammer said, “That was a prepared statement for a summit that is meant to assure the Gulf Arabs that we’re not selling them out. That was a sellout announcement. … They should be terrified.” Another win for Obama.

The DOJ Is on a Mission to Stop Racist Pollution

Under the current administration, we’ve come to expect an ideologically activist Department of Justice that seeks out instances of pollution and racism and acts accordingly. But when the DOJ looks for instances where pollution itself is racist, the department veers into injustice. National Review’s Roger Clegg pointed out a DOJ publication that touted this approach in its spring edition. According to a memorandum issued by Bill Clinton during his administration: “In accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, each Federal agency shall ensure that all programs or activities receiving Federal financial assistance that affect human health or the environment do not directly, or through contractual or other arrangements, use criteria, methods, or practices that discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national origin.” That means if an organization receiving federal funds — like a city government — needs to somehow affect the environment, it needs to justify that it’s not racist to boot. Justice thus assumes that creating a landfill or creating a facility that deals with harmful chemicals in a certain location may have racist intent when in fact the intent may be purely economic. Furthermore, labeling neighborhoods “black” or “white” fails to take into account their evolution, as when they undergo white flight or gentrification. But never mind all this when social justice — rather than colorblind justice — is the DOJ’s ultimate goal. More…

No, Antarctica Is Not Experiencing Rapid Ice Melt

Antarctic sea ice is so expansive that researchers are exploring ways to avoid more embarrassing mishaps. Writing in The Daily Caller, Michael Bastasch says, “50 scientists have gathered in Tasmania to discuss more accurate ways to predict Antarctic sea ice levels so researchers don’t get stuck in ice pack when traveling southward.” So it was richly ironic when CBS News reported this week that “Antarctica is melting from above and below.” The article, which documents a new alarming study on how global warming is supposedly eating away at the giant ice cap, begins with an outrageous claim — “It’s no secret that ice shelves in Antarctica are thinning” — and warns that “warming air temperatures and warmer ocean currents together could explain why the Antarctic Peninsula’s floating ice shelves are losing volume and becoming more vulnerable to collapse.” The truth? As of Wednesday, sea ice extent was breaking the previous record high set just last year, according to data from the National Snow & Ice Data Center, and the trend for decades now has been a steady increase in areal ice coverage. In fairness, the exception is the western portion of the continent, where ice is lagging behind the 1981-2010 average. But averages are based on the whole, not cherry-picked portions of the data. This is nothing more than selective outrage.

FEATURED RIGHT ANALYSIS

The Woulda, Shoulda, Coulda Approach to Foreign Policy

By Michael Swartz

2015-05-15-125db562_large.jpg

As a leading GOP presidential candidate and brother of the former president, Jeb Bush had to know he was going to be asked about Iraq sometime during the campaign. That “sometime” came this week as Megyn Kelly of Fox News asked him whether, “knowing what we know now,” he would have authorized the invasion of Iraq. Jeb used the answer to both speculate that Hillary Clinton would have done (in fact, did) the same thing and declare that, “if they’re trying to find places where there’s big space between me and my brother, this might not be one of those.”

The blowback was predictable, and he quickly walked back his answer, insisting he’d misheard the question. He did seem to answer the “knowing what we knew then” version. Now he says flatly, “I would not have gone into Iraq.”

Needless to say, there’s been a lot of debate about the fitness of the younger Bush’s initial answer. Conservatives ponder whether he needed a better one, made “a rookie mistake,” or was exactly right. There are also those who thought the question itself was “completely stupid.”

Stupid or not, the question was bound to come up as a result of the ongoing mess we’re dealing with in the Middle East, and we now have over a decade of hindsight at our disposal. There weren’t the quantities of weapons of mass destruction everyone — even those who quickly pretended otherwise — originally believed were in Iraq. Intelligence estimates at the time were all George W. Bush had to go on, not “what we know now.” There was also Saddam Hussein’s established record of atrocities, belligerence and threats to U.S. interests. So, we eliminated a bloody dictator, the byproduct of which convinced Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi that he should abandon his own efforts at a WMD program.

Obviously, the “knowing what we know now” question is valid only as a hypothetical, since we cannot turn back the hands of time. But if we’re playing the hindsight game, we should also consider what the consequences of inaction might have been. Might Saddam Hussein now be a nuclear-powered menace? And might the region have already experienced its first nuclear calamity? We can only deal with the here and now, and the window of opportunity for taking action isn’t generally unlimited.

Indeed, as former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger observed, “The analyst can allot whatever time is necessary to come to a clear conclusion; the overwhelming challenge to the statesman is the pressure of time. The analyst runs no risk. If his conclusions prove wrong, he can write another treatise. The statesman is permitted only one guess; his mistakes are irretrievable. The analyst has available to him all the facts; he will be judged on his intellectual power. The statesman must act on assessments that cannot be proved at the time that he is making them; he will be judged by history on the basis of how wisely he managed the inevitable change and, above all, by how well he preserves the peace.”

Surely the U.S. made irretrievable mistakes during the Bush years — primarily not fighting hard enough to win decisively quickly. The surge was all well and good, but it came years too late. And it likely will be many more years before any solution benefiting U.S. interests will take hold in the cradle of civilization. We didn’t call this the “Long War” for naught.

One thing that’s painfully evident from the last six years, however, is that Barack Obama is continuing to make irretrievable mistakes in Iraq. He squandered American blood and treasure with his foolish pullout, and then tried to revise the story by blaming George W. Bush. History will be the judge of his results, and so far the progress has been lacking to the point where we are nearly back at square one — albeit with different tyrants in charge. Would ISIL have arisen from al-Qaida’s ashes if Obama hadn’t abandoned Iraq?

That brings us to another “what if” question that begs to be asked of the American people: If we knew in 2008 what we know now, would we have elected such a woefully inept and inexperienced commander in chief?

OPINION IN BRIEF

Charles Krauthammer: “Fast-track authority allows an administration to negotiate the details of a trade agreement and then come to Congress for a non-amendable up-or-down vote. In various forms, that has been granted to every president since Franklin Roosevelt. … Obama wants a deal. But he has utterly failed to bring his party along. It’s not just because for six years he’s treated all of Congress with disdain and prefers insult to argument when confronted with opposition, this time from Democrats like Elizabeth Warren. It’s also because he’s expended practically no political capital on the issue. … This is the Republicans’ chance to demonstrate that they can think large by advancing an important strategic objective — giving substance to Obama’s as yet stillborn ‘pivot to Asia.’ I wouldn’t mind seeing Obama sunk by his own arrogance in intraparty fratricide over trade. But the issue is bigger than Obama. In 20 months, he will be gone. Asia will not. And it will get away from us if Republicans don’t step up and step in where Obama and the Democrats have failed.”

Insight: “There are a thousand hacking at the branches of evil to one who is striking at the root.” —Author Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862)

Non Compos Mentis: “If Freddie Gray’s killers walk you will see cops being killed in broad daylight. Many are being killed now. In self defense blacks must kill. If you can find the snake that bit you in the garden, any old snake in blue will do! The annals of the absurd: “[I]f you look at the red-letter version of the Bible, Jesus was probably to the left of the Democratic Party.” —Howard Dean (Wrong. Jesus was not a socialist.)

Dezinformatsia: “I made charitable donations to the [Clinton] Foundation in support of the work they’re doing on global AIDS prevention and deforestation, causes I care about deeply. I thought that my contributions were a matter of public record. I apologize.” —ABC’s George Stephanopoulos

Village Idiots: “We have to have jobs for young people. I probably shouldn’t say this in a room like this, but occasionally when I go home I’ll sit down with some of the gang leaders back home in Chicago, and I ask them … ‘What’s the biggest impediment to getting your guys off the streets?’ It’s jobs. So we need to think about what we do at scale to create those kind of opportunities for young people who just have to make some money, want to do it in a positive way, but in too many places they don’t exist.” —Education Secretary Arne Duncan

Late-night humor: “Even the White House is weighing in on the deflate-gate scandal. [This week] they encouraged Tom Brady to ‘be mindful of the way he serves as a role model.’ And then President Obama stuffed out his cigarette and went golfing at noon on a weekday. … They would’ve said more, but there was a drunken Secret Service agent streaking across the Rose Garden.” —Jimmy Fallon

School Orders Student To Remove “Offensive” US Flag From Truck

Posted: 15 May 2015 07:20 AM PDT

A school in South Carolina has come under fire for ordering a student to remove a US flag from his truck because it could “possibly” be offensive to some people. As reported by WBTV, 18-year-old senior Peyton Robinson was ordered to remove two flags by an administrator at York Comprehensive High School Wednesday. Speaking to reporters, Robinson noted that the official told him “‘We’re having some issues. Some people were complaining about the flags in your truck,’” and that the offending items should be removed before the student returned to school the next day. Worse still, Robinson says that a school official had even unscrewed bolts holding the flags to the truck, and laid them in the back “when I wasn’t even there.”

“That’s our country’s flag. I have every right to do it.” Robinson argued. “I don’t see a safety issue. I mean I understand it’s a big flag – it’s 4 by 6 – but nobody has ever complained about it being in their way or anything.” he added. The school officials then changed their story, suggesting that the flags constituted “safety concerns,” with the Superintendent suggesting they could block the view of drivers and cause accidents. It isn’t clear why school officials changed their story and suddenly took on the role of traffic cops. MORE

Five more aftershocks hit Nepal as toll in fresh quake tops 100

Posted: 15 May 2015 07:01 AM PDT

Five aftershocks jolted Nepal today, triggering panic among the people as the death toll in the powerful 7.3-magnitude earthquake that struck the Himalayan nation two days ago climbed to over 100. Nepal was jolted by the quake on Monday just weeks after a 7.9 magnitude temblor had wreaked havoc in the country, claiming 8,151 lives and leaving 17,861 others injured. Five small tremors — measuring between 4 and 5 on the Richter scale –were recorded near Kathmandu as aftershocks continued to jolt the quake-affected region. A 5-magnitude quake struck at 0325 AM while a 4-magnitude quake was felt at 0905 AM with the epicentre of both the temblors at Dolakha district. Three other tremors were also recorded by National Seismological Centre here between 12 am and 0822 am with their epicenter mainly being in the Dolakha and Sindhupalchowk districts, situated to the east of Kathmandu.

However, no damages were reported from the temblors. The death toll in the 7.3-magnitude quake that struck Nepal on May 13 climbed to 107 with 2,563 others injured, according to the Home Ministry. The highest number of casualties — 51 people — are from the Dolakha district, situated 75 km east of Kathmandu. Altogether 211 aftershocks have been reported in Nepal after the April 25 quake temblor that left the country devastated with thousands reeling under the impact of the disaster. Meanwhile, a seven-storeyed building that had developed cracks due to the quake last month collapsed in Kalanki area of Kathmandu today. However, no casualties were reported in the incident. Giant hailstones pound southern Germany – nearly a week after devastating tornado reported in the north

Posted: 15 May 2015 06:57 AM PDT

At least nine people have been injured and dozens of homes damaged in a hailstorm in southern Germany. There were reports of hailstones the size of golf balls in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg. Winds of up to 120 km/h (75mph) were reported on Wednesday night and residents near the Bavarian city of Augsburg spoke of seeing a tornado. Roofs were badly damaged, blocks of flats had to be evacuated and a local school had to be closed on Thursday.

Two people were taken to the hospital with severe injuries caused by lightning strikes. Seven more were hurt in Bavaria, where several houses in villages near Augsburg were no longer habitable. Authorities appealed for help from construction workers to repair the damage. “First it rained, then very briefly hail, then there was a whoosh and everything flew through the whole area!,” one resident told Bavarian media. German weather officials did not confirm claims of a tornado. One person was killed last week in northern Germany when a tornado swept through the town of Buetzow, near Rostock. EP

136 Nations Recognize A Palestinian State – Only Obama Stands In The Way Of Full Global Recognition

Posted: 15 May 2015 06:37 AM PDT

Will a UN Security Council resolution formally recognizing the establishment of a Palestinian state be passed by the end of 2015? Now that the Vatican has formally recognized a Palestinian state, there is a tremendous amount of international momentum for precisely such a UN Security Council resolution. In fact, France plans to push really hard for one by the end of this year. At this point, the only thing that could derail those plans is Barack Obama. For years, the threat of a Security Council veto has been the one thing stopping a resolution from moving forward.

But now that Benjamin Netanyahu has been re-elected and has put together a cabinet that does not seem inclined to negotiate with the Palestinians, the Obama administration is pledging to “reevaluate our approach” and says that it will not “prejudge” what it will do if a vote comes up at the United Nations. And as you will see below, one news source is now reporting that behind the scenes Barack Obama has already given the “green light” for France to go ahead with a resolution on a Palestinian state at the UN. If this is truly what Obama plans to do, it will absolutely shatter U.S. relations with Israel and plunge the entire Middle East into chaos. Most Americans don’t realize this, but 136 countries already formally recognize a Palestinian state. Those 136 nations have a combined population of more than 5.5 billion people. MORE

10 Pictures That Show How America Is Becoming A Lot Like Nazi Germany

Posted: 15 May 2015 06:32 AM PDT

The history books tell us about how evil and wicked the Nazis were, so why aren’t we more alarmed that the United States is becoming more like Nazi Germany with each passing day?

At the heart of Nazism was a desire to control everyone and everything, and that is exactly what we are seeing in America today. Most of our “leaders” are psychotic control freaks that want to micromanage every aspect of our lives. FULL REPORT

‘Game-Changing’ Development Threatens Saudi Oil Fields

Posted: 15 May 2015 06:29 AM PDT

Despite the presence of the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt off the coast of Yemen, the Iranians succeeded in smuggling Scud B and C missiles to the rebels fighting in Yemen, Jordanian security officials told WND. The security officials described the possession of the missiles by the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels as potentially game-changing and as a direct threat to the Saudi kingdom and its oil fields. While the Scuds have not yet been used, the Shiite Houthi rebels on Tuesday already escalated tensions with the Saudis when they fired rockets into Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, killing at least three people.

The rocket attacks marked the first time the Houthis targeted a civilian area in Saudi Arabia since the Saudis and a larger Arab coalition commenced airstrikes against the rebels last month. The Jordanian officials said the Scuds, if utilized, could endanger Saudi Arabia and potentially disrupt the global oil market. The rocket attacks came just as a U.S.-brokered humanitarian truce took effect Tuesday, the same day Iran reportedly dispatched what it describes as a cargo ship toward the Yemeni coast. Iran says its navy will protect the transport of the cargo ship. Also on Tuesday, the Saudi-led alliance bombed Houthi positions in the southern port of Aden in the run up to the truce. MORE

First Warm-Blooded Fish In History Discovered

Posted: 15 May 2015 06:20 AM PDT

The car-tire-size opah is striking enough thanks to its rotund, silver body. But now, researchers have discovered something surprising about this deep-sea dweller: It’s got warm blood. That makes the opah (Lampris guttatus) the first warm-blooded fish every discovered. Most fish are exotherms, meaning they require heat from the environment to stay toasty. The opah, as an endotherm, keeps its own temperature elevated even as it dives to chilly depths of 1,300 feet (396 meters) in temperate and tropical oceans around the world.

“Increased temperature speeds up physiological processes within the body,” study leader Nicholas Wegner, a biologist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries’ Southwest Fisheries Science Center in La Jolla, California, told Live Science. “As a result, the muscles can contract faster, the temporal resolution of the eye is increased, and neurological transmissions are sped up. This results in faster swimming speeds, better vision and faster response times.” The result, Wegner said, is a fast-swimming fish with an advantage for hunting slow, cold-blooded prey. MORE

A Bible Was Found in the Rubble of a Texas Home Following a Tornado. But It’s the Verse That It Was Open to That Is Gaining Attention

Posted: 14 May 2015 09:14 PM PDT

After a tornado ripped through Van, Texas, over the weekend, killing a husband and his wife, neighbors of the deceased reportedly discovered something in the rubble that is bringing family and friends some comfort. A Bible was found in the wreckage near the home of David and Brenda Tapley — the sole casualties of the tornado, according to the Van Texas Tornado Recovery Facebook page. That Bible, which belonged to the Tapleys, was open to page 1,500, which includes James 1:2-6, verses that address how to handle life’s sometimes difficult struggles.

It reads, “My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing.” The verses have reportedly brought comfort to the family, with AOL reporting that David Tapley’s sister wrote, “Thank you Jesus for your message,” in a Facebook post published following the couple’s death. The Tapeleys, longtime members of the Van United Methodist Church, were praised by fellow parishioners who said that the compassionate and caring couple will be greatly missed. At 67, The Regathered Israel Remains The Gold Standard Of End Times Bible Prophecy

Posted: 14 May 2015 09:08 PM PDT

IT HAS BEEN 67 YEARS TODAY, SINCE ISRAEL WAS DECLARED THE JEWISH HOMELAND IN 1948.

This was an amazing fulfillment of prophecy. The cost of bringing His people home, was a great one – six million Jews murdered by Hitler in the concentration camps of Germany. But because of the Holocaust, Israel was reborn!

“Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come. Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.” Ezekiel 11:16-17

Satan wasted no time in wreaking havoc on God’s people. War against Israel has become a way of life. So many wars since 1948 — but the one that sticks in my mind more than the others was the 6 day war in June of 1967.

Fought between Israel and Arab neighbors Egypt, Jordan, and Syria, the nations of Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Algeria, and others also contributed troops and arms to the Arab forces. Following the war, the territory held by Israel expanded significantly (“The Purple Line”) : The West Bank (including East Jerusalem) from Jordan, Golan Heights from Syria, Sinai and Gaza from Egypt. Israel was outnumbered and in reality should not have been victorious. But God defended His people and expanded His land. It was truly a miraculous war! MORE

Texas Senate Approves Bill Protecting Pastors Who Refuse to Officiate Same-Sex ‘Weddings’

Posted: 14 May 2015 08:58 PM PDT

The Texas Senate has approved a bill that would protect pastors from legal action if they refuse to officiate same-sex ceremonies. Sen. Craig Estes (R-Wichita Falls) presented S.B. 2065, entitled “Freedom of Religion with Respect to Recognizing or Performing Certain Marriages.” “A religious organization, an organization supervised or controlled by or in connection with a religious organization, an individual employed by a religious organization while acting in the scope of that employment, or a clergy or minister may not be required to solemnize any marriage, provide services, accommodations, facilities, goods, or privileges for a purpose related to the solemnization, formation, or celebration of any marriage, or treat any marriage as valid for any purpose if the action would cause the organization or individual to violate a sincerely held religious belief,” it reads.

The legislation also prevents faith-based organizations from being sued for declining to directly or indirectly participate in the event.“A refusal to provide services, accommodations, facilities, goods, or privileges [under this law] is not the basis for a civil or criminal cause of action or any other action by this state or a political subdivision of this state to penalize or withhold benefits or privileges, including tax exemptions or governmental contracts, grants, or licenses, from any protected organization or individual,” it states. New Pew Research Poll: Apostate “Christians” Leaving Church

Christian News Network (CNN) informs us that the current Pew Research Center report stated that mainline groups have experienced the greatest drop in numbers and “may have fallen by as few as 3 million or as many as 7.3 million between 2007 and 2014.” According to CNN, these groups include the “United Methodist Church, the American Baptist Church (U.S.A.), the Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the Episcopal Church— denominations that have largely been considered to be apostate by evangelical Christians because of their liberal and unorthodox stances on abortion and homosexuality.” The good news is that those who identify as evangelical Christians have declined less than one percent.

“Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.”  Isaiah 43:5-7 (KJV)

Today, Hamas, Hezbollah, and now the horrific terrorist group which calls itself ISIS, are determined to wipe Israel off the map. These groups have no idea that Israel is there to stay, because God said so! Israel will always be a nation – God’s nation. This doesn’t mean that there will not be bloodshed. But it does mean that any attempt to eradicate Israel will be futile.

Jerusalem In Breathtaking High Definition

Antisemitism is at its highest point since WWII. It is sweeping Europe, and in America, the college campuses are filled with Muslim agitators, calling for students to support a boycott of any products coming from Israel. The Muslim Brotherhood funds most of these Muslim hate groups. ISIS is better received on most college campuses than Israel!

As Christians, this should not surprise us in the least. Satan hates the Jewish people. He knows that the Messiah, Jesus Christ, came out of the Jewish people. Satan loves to place hatred for the Jews in hearts of people everywhere. He hates Christians and Jews.

Last year, Operation Protective Edge took place in Israel. The world watched, as Hamas sent hundreds of rockets, streaming into Israel. Praise God that Israel had Iron Dome to intercept the rockets which would have taken many lives. When Israel decided that they must take out the command centers from where the rockets were launched, Hamas decided to place women and children in these locations. After repeated warnings by PM Netanyahu for the innocent civilians to vacate these areas, Israel had no option except to go ahead with the counter attack. Many times, the Hamas leaders would say that the areas were clear of civilians, and they were not. The Palestinian people are used as pawns by Hamas, just as the PLO used them.

Most of the world, and the U.N. declared Israel to be the aggressor, and they brought charges against Israel for “Crimes against humanity.” This is so far from reality— it is truly unbelievable.

Now, with the American government talking with Iran about their quest to be a nuclear power, Israel once again sees the possibility of an attack — but this time, a nuclear attack. Our president has disdain for Israel, and doesn’t choose to hide it. When PM Netanyahu came to address our Congress, President Obama would not see or talk with him. Instead, Obama sent a group of political agitators over to Israel to interfere with the elections. Obama’s goal was to insure that PM Netanyahu would be defeated.

God had other ideas, Netanyahu not only won the election, but by a landslide!

So, here we are, 67 years after the rebirth of God’s Nation. Isn’t it amazing that we (Christians) know things about the future because our God has told us in His Word?!

We love Israel. We support Israel. Those who teach Replacement Theology are completely duped. RT is the belief that the Church replaced Israel in God’s plan and in His heart. That is a lie from the pit of hell. The Church is the Church and Israel is Israel!!

AM YISRAEL CHAI. THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL LIVE!!

Homosexual teacher reads “gay fairy tale” to 3rd graders

No note went home, no calls were made. Now parents in Efland, North Carolina are understandably outraged to learn that their 8 and 9-year-olds’ homosexual teacher decided to read a gay fairy tale – that the assistant principal gave him – to the youngsters. Said one parent, “People have been gay for years. People have […]

Hate the Sin, Love the Sinner?

“My Last Day” — the Jesus Anime

9 powerful minutes of animation that begins with a thief behind bars watching the scourging of Jesus, and it ends with the thief dying next to Jesus, and waking to see Him in a beautiful place.

The dying thief: What was so great about his faith?

There are many acts of extraordinary faith in the Bible. The one that has impressed me the most concerns the dying thief on the cross. We could take the approach that he had nothing to lose, so he decided to cast his lot with Jesus. But this makes absolutely no sense of the text and the context.
In this conversion we have a specific fulfillment of Christ’s first words on the cross. No sooner had Christ spoken the words, “Father, forgive them,” had the Father answered that prayer by turning a once-reviling criminal into a Christ-glorifying saint. While the soon-to-be converted criminal was not directly responsible for Christ’s death, he nevertheless joined with those who were and was thus indirectly addressed when Christ asked for God to forgive “them.”
Christ, the sinless one, was numbered with or counted among the transgressors (Isa. 53:12; Luke 22:37), all of whom have a bigger problem than the day-to-day sins they commit. They hate Christ, the God-man. Anyone who has a master other than the Lord Jesus hates him (Lk. 16:13; Gal. 4:8). That these two criminals loathed him is clearly manifested during the crucifixion: “And the robbers who were crucified with him also reviled him in the same way” (Matt. 27:44).
When the criminal who was converted was doing his worst against Christ, Christ was doing his best for this criminal.
The conversion of the one criminal was most extraordinary and testifies to the power of Christ’s prayer and the grace of God. Why?
This criminal’s faith did not come at a time such as when Christ turned water into wine; or performed miracles, such as walking on water, opening the eyes of a blind man, or raising Lazarus from the dead. No! The criminal believed on the Messiah while he was hanging as one cursed upon a tree. The criminal trusted in and boldly defended the one whose disciples had abandoned him. Jesus was at his lowest when this criminal asked to be remembered in Christ’s kingdom.
When he was on the cross, did anyone publicly cry out, as John the Baptist did, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (Jn. 1:29)? But this is essentially what the dying thief did. Little wonder, then, that Christ should promise him a place in his kingdom: “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise” (Lk. 23:43).
The criminal acknowledged he was guilty; he acknowledged that Christ was not (“this man has done nothing wrong”); he feared God; but, and here is the key: the criminal did not merely want to be in a better place. He wanted to be with Christ in a better place: “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom” (Lk. 23:42). The criminal believed “against all hope”.
Heaven is a better place because that is where Christ is. Everyone wants to go to heaven, but not everyone wants to go to Christ’s heaven. Not so with this criminal: he saw, with his eyes, Christ at his worst; but with the eyes of faith, he believed that Christ would soon be at his best, and so put his faith in a dying king.
Christ is always – always! – willing to save even the most miserable of sinners. A recognition of guilt (Lk. 23:40) and a confidence in him and not ourselves (Lk. 23:42) will always lead to the most assuring truth a sinner can receive: the Savior welcomes such into his paradise!
“One is saved, and we may not despair; the other is lost, and we may not presume.” Spurgeon
