Barry W Bussey:

It seems that the Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto is for everyone other than Christians. Located at the bustling south-east corner of Dundas Street and Yonge Street, it has been described as the city’s “Times Square.” From crowd-pleasing performances by world-renowned artists, to marijuana smoke-ins, to the city’s best New Years’ Eve bash, it’s a definite hot spot in the heart of the city. It was also the spot where, since 2006, a Christian group known as “Voices of the Nations” (VOTN) had its annual musical festival.

They applied for their usual August date at the Square for 2016 but it was denied. Why? Natalie Belman, the Manager of Events for Yonge-Dundas Square, told VOTN that the singing by various Christian groups this last August amounted to “proselytizing.” In her words, “Well, it doesn’t matter if it’s speaking or singing. Either way if you’re ‘praising Jesus’ or ‘praise the Lord,’ and ‘there’s no God like Jehovah,’ that type of thing? That’s proselytizing.”

Rejecting Picture-Perfect in a Facebook World

Stacy Reaoch:

There’s a temptation in our Facebook world to make our lives appear like the picture of perfection. We’re always smiling, our kids are wearing matching outfits, our amazing vacations with no hassles are posted for everyone to see, and the homemade bread we baked with wheat grown in our organic garden makes everyone with a bag of chips open feel like a loser. But does this portrayal communicate grace to those around us? Do others look at our lives and feel jealous of how they don’t measure up, or do they know our struggles and imperfections in life? The temptation to want to appear perfect before others is an example of pride on display. It feeds our ego as we subtly tear down others who seemingly have so many problems we never had. But Paul reminds us of a better way.

‘I’m an Evangelical’: Rescuing the Term – “Modern evangelicalism was born in a joke told by George Whitefield during the First Great Awakening. Same answer. Then the man asked about Baptists, people ‘of the Methodist Way,’ and Congregationalists. He gave the same answer for them all. Exasperated, the man asked, ‘Then tell me, St. Peter, who is in heaven?’”

The Islamic Revolution Comes to Paris – “If you’d lived during the industrial revolution, you probably wouldn’t have thought, ‘Oh, wow, this is a revolution.’ No, it’s hard for people in the middle of massive changes to make sense of them, to see the bigger picture, to see where all the different bits and pieces are pointing. What is The Gospel?

God made everything out of nothing, including you and me. His main purpose in creation was to bring him pleasure.

The chief way in which we as humanity do this is through loving, obeying, and enjoying him perfectly.

Instead of this, we have sinned against our loving Creator and acted in high-handed rebellion.

God has vowed that he will righteously and lovingly judge sinners with eternal death.

But God, being merciful, loving, gracious, and just, sent his own son, Jesus Christ, in the likeness of man to live as a man; fulfilling his perfect requirements in the place of sinners; loving, obeying, and enjoying him perfectly.

And further, his son bore the eternal judgment of God upon the cross of Calvary, as he satisfied the eternal anger of God, standing in the place of sinners. God treated Jesus as a sinner, though he was perfectly sinless, that he might declare sinners as perfect.

This glorious transaction occurs as the sinner puts their faith (dependence, trust) in the Lord Jesus Christ as their substitute. God then charges Christ’s perfection to the sinner, and no longer views him as an enemy but instead an adopted son covered in the perfect righteousness of his son.

God furnished proof that this sacrifice was accepted by raising Jesus from the dead.

God will judge the world in righteousness and all of those who are not covered in the righteousness of Christ, depending on him for forgiveness, will be forced to stand on their own to bear the eternal anger of God.

Therefore, all must turn from sin and receive Christ Jesus as Lord.

What Is the Gospel?

There is no greater message to be heard than that which we call the gospel. But as important as that is, it is often given to massive distortions or over simplifications. People think they’re preaching the gospel to you when they tell you, ‘you can have a purpose to your life’, or that ‘you can have meaning to your life’, or that ‘you can have a personal relationship with Jesus.’ All of those things are true, and they’re all important, but they don’t get to the heart of the gospel.

The gospel is called the ‘good news’ because it addresses the most serious problem that you and I have as human beings, and that problem is simply this: God is holy and He is just, and I’m not. And at the end of my life, I’m going to stand before a just and holy God, and I’ll be judged. And I’ll be judged either on the basis of my own righteousness–or lack of it –or the righteousness of another. The good news of the gospel is that Jesus lived a life of perfect righteousness, of perfect obedience to God, not for His own well being but for His people. He has done for me what I couldn’t possibly do for myself. But not only has He lived that life of perfect obedience, He offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice to satisfy the justice and the righteousness of God.

The great misconception in our day is this: that God isn’t concerned to protect His own integrity. He’s a kind of wishy-washy deity, who just waves a wand of forgiveness over everybody. No. For God to forgive you is a very costly matter. It cost the sacrifice of His own Son. So valuable was that sacrifice that God pronounced it valuable by raising Him from the dead – so that Christ died for us, He was raised for our justification. So the gospel is something objective. It is the message of who Jesus is and what He did. And it also has a subjective dimension. How are the benefits of Jesus subjectively appropriated to us? How do I get it? The Bible makes it clear that we are justified not by our works, not by our efforts, not by our deeds, but by faith–and by faith alone. The only way you can receive the benefit of Christ’s life and death is by putting your trust in Him–and in Him alone. You do that, you’re declared just by God, you’re adopted into His family, you’re forgiven of all of your sins, and you have begun your pilgrimage for eternity.

The Gospel on 5 Fingers

If you picked up a hitchhiker (not that I recommend doing that) and he saw a Bible on your car seat and said, “I’ve heard about this thing called the Gospel – can you explain it to me before you drop me off in one minute up the street?” What would you say?

Can you explain the gospel in 30 seconds? In one minute? In five minutes?

Here’s one way I have found helpful. The five main components of the gospel can be remembered on 5 fingers of one hand. Here they are:

1) Jesus’ birth
2) Jesus’ life
3) Jesus’ death
4) Jesus’ resurrection
5) Jesus’ ascension

Obviously each point can be elaborated on depending on how much time you have. Here’s the short version:

1) Jesus’ birth – Jesus, God himself, the creator of the universe, the Messiah, became a human being – took on flesh, and was born of a virgin.

2) Jesus’ life – Jesus lived a life of perfect obedience to his Father. Though he was tempted in every way as we are, he never once sinned.

3) Jesus’ death – on the cross, Jesus himself took all our sins and paid for them. God the father counted all our sins to Jesus as if he himself had personally committed them. Then Jesus bore God’s wrath towards sin – the punishment we deserved – as a substitute for us.

4) Jesus’ resurrection – within 3 days, Jesus rose physically from the dead, proving that his sacrifice for sins have been accepted by God, since the punishment for sin was death. Jesus was seen by numerous people after he rose including 500 at one time (1 Corinthians 15).

5) Jesus’ ascension – Jesus ascended physically into heaven where he reigns as King of kings and Lord of lords. And someday he will return to the earth.

That’s the gospel, the good news, and if we believe in Jesus Christ and this good news and call upon him he will save us from our sins and give us eternal life.

That’s a simple way to remember the gospel – five fingers. Even a child can do it. So ask God to give you opportunities to share his good news today.

GTY: Getting the Gospel Right Is Fundamental

Matthew 7:13-14; John 14:6; Galatians 1:8-9

Code: B151116

by Cameron Buettel

The gospel of Jesus Christ is a sacred message. It is God’s chosen means for reaching all who would come to saving faith (1 Corinthians 1:21). Whether you preach to a congregation or witness to your neighbor, eternal destinies hinge on the proclamation of Christ crucified. It’s why the apostle Paul asks the rhetorical questions:

How will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? (Romans 10:14)

And getting that message we preach correct is so critical that Paul reserved his harshest condemnation for anyone who gets it wrong:

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! (Galatians 1:8–9)

Those who peddle a false gospel bring damnation on themselves and all who embrace their message. Christ identified only one path to salvation (Matthew 7:13-14; John 14:6)—there are no alternate routes.

So in our attempt to identify the fundamentals of the Christian faith, we clearly need to prioritize doctrines essential to the gospel. In the words of John MacArthur, “A doctrine must be regarded as fundamental if eternal life depends on it.”[1] John MacArthur, Reckless Faith (Wheaton: Crossway, 1994) 111.

Who God Is

Most evangelists logically start with an explanation of who God is, as His attributes and nature undergird all the other key elements of the gospel. In fact, there’s no hope of salvation apart from the knowledge of God. Jesus said, “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17:3). As John MacArthur points out:

Eternal life is obtained through the knowledge of the true God and Jesus Christ (John 17:3; 14:6; Acts 4:12). Since Jesus Himself is the true God incarnate (1 John 5:20; John 8:58; 10:30), the fact of His deity (and by implication the whole doctrine of the Trinity) is a fundamental article of faith (see 1 John 2:23). Our Lord Himself confirmed this when He said all must honor Him as they honor the Father (John 5:23). The truths of Jesus’ divine Sonship and Messiahship are also fundamental articles of faith (John 20:31).[2] Reckless Faith, 111.

The critical statement is “knowledge of the true God and Jesus Christ.” Plenty of false teachers have become rich and famous by using the names “God” and “Jesus Christ” to describe idols of their own invention. We must be wise to the cunning means Satan uses to assault the nature and character of God, and protect the truth from corrupting influence.

Who Man Is

We live in a therapeutic culture that exalts human reason at the expense of God’s law. Self-examination has given way to self-esteem, sins are redefined as mistakes, and the problem of guilt is solved through suppression or denial. The doctrine of depravity has been buried beneath a pile of psychobabble. John MacArthur rightly critiques this trend:

The wisdom of our age says guilt feelings are nearly always erroneous or hurtful; therefore we should switch them off. But is that good advice? What, after all, is the conscience—this sense of guilt we all seem to feel?

The conscience is generally seen by the modern world as a defect that robs people of their self-esteem. Far from being a defect or a disorder, however, your ability to sense your own guilt is a tremendous gift from God. He designed the conscience into the very framework of the human soul. It is the automatic warning system that cries, “Pull up! Pull up!” before you crash and burn.[3]http://www.gty.org/resources/articles/A273/the-conscience-revisited

It is our guilt that affirms God’s verdict—all people are sinners (Romans 3:23) and without excuse (Romans 1:18–20). Put simply, sin is the breaking of God’s law (1 John 3:4). And it is God’s law that performs the essential task of accurately diagnosing our sin problem (Romans 7:7). John MacArthur highlights this process:

Apart from the law, we would have no way of accurately judging our sinfulness. Only God’s law reveals His divine standard of righteousness and thereby enables us to see how far short of His righteousness we are and how helpless we are to attain it by our own efforts.[4]John MacArthur, The MacArthur New Testament Commentary: Romans 1–8 (Chicago: Moody Publishers, 1991) 370.

The apostle Paul warned that “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23)—spiritual death. Hell is an unpleasant reality, but ignoring it won’t make it go away. Eternal damnation is a biblical reality that must be expressed soberly and pleadingly. We cannot possibly overstate the horrific experience of the damned but we can understate it with expressions like “separation from God,” or “a Christless eternity.” Such terminology betrays the force with which Scripture speaks:

[They] will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night. (Revelation 14:10–11)

Believers need to avoid the insidious trend of ignoring the horrors and eternality of hell. One of the major motivating factors behind preaching and evangelism is the stark reality that people are going to hell. The eternality and severity of hell ought to correspond to the intensity of our drive to reach the lost.

What Christ Has Done

Jesus Christ alone provides the means by which sinners can be saved. The facts of His life, death, and resurrection contain the essence of the gospel message.

Christ’s thirty-three years of earthly life were a righteous fulfillment of all God’s laws that we have sinfully broken (Matthew 5:17). He died as a sin-bearing substitute, suffering God’s holy wrath in the place of sinners (Romans 3:25–26; 2 Corinthians 5:21). And His resurrection proves that His sacrifice was sufficient (Romans 4:23–25; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4). John MacArthur elaborates:

The bodily resurrection of Christ is a fundamental doctrine, because 1 Corinthians 15:14 tells us, “If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.” Romans 10:9 confirms that the resurrection is a fundamental doctrine, and adds another: the lordship of Christ. “If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.”[5] Reckless Faith, 112.

There is a major implication in confessing Jesus as Lord: Trusting Him as Savior also means submitting to His lordship.

What Christ Demands

Saving faith goes far beyond verbal acknowledgment or mental agreement. Saving faith is a repentant faith. Turning to Christ in faith always implies turning away from sin. That’s why Jesus said: “Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3, 5). Those who confess faith in Christ but continue to engage in a lifestyle of unrepentant sin are not justified by faith because their “faith” is a false faith (1 John 3:4–10). It is only the faith evidenced by repentance that is true justifying faith. John MacArthur explains the importance of this doctrine:

According to Romans 4:4–5, justification by faith is a fundamental doctrine as well: “Now to the one who works, his wage is not reckoned as a favor, but as what is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned as righteousness” (emphasis added). In other words, those who seek acceptance before God on the ground of their own righteousness will find they fall short (Romans 3:27–28; Galatians 2:16–3:29). Only those who trust God to impute Christ’s perfect righteousness to them are accounted truly righteous. This is precisely the difference between Roman Catholic doctrine and the Gospel set forth in Scripture. It is at the heart of all doctrine that is truly fundamental.[6] Reckless Faith, 112.

Though they can be listed in different ways, fundamental doctrines concerning salvation always revolve around the core truths of who God is, who man is, what Christ has done, and what Christ demands of the sinner. They are not up for debate or compromise—they simply must be affirmed.

Conversely, there are also fundamental doctrines that we are forbidden to deny. And that’s what we’ll examine next time.

Experts are expressing frustration that the Obama administration appears unable or unwilling to address the likelihood of future attacks against America. Last year was the most lethal year of terrorism on record with 16,800 terrorist attacks resulting in 43,500 deaths and 40,900 injuries. This represents an 80 percent increase in lethalities from 2013 to 2014.

The government netted $4.5 billion in cash, cars, and houses taken from Americans last year.

The complaint was filed against the editor, Maurizio Belpietro, and “all the people to be considered.”

Wanted: Grownups
On the day ISIS related terrorists spread out across Paris and killed more than one hundred people, Barack Obama claimed ISIS was “contained.” After the attacks, liberals actually tried to argue that the attacks in Paris showed how successful Barack Obama had been because ISIS was having to lash out to get attention. Yes, liberals actually argued this. At Saturday night’s Democratic debate, Bernie Sanders reaffirmed that global warming was the greatest threat to humanity and was also the root cause of terrorism in the Middle East.

Paris Terror Attacks: France Could Invoke NATO Collective Defense Clause
As world leaders decried the attacks as an “act of war” and international media trumpeted the arrival of World War III, security experts said Saturday a perfect storm could be brewing for an invocation of the NATO’s Article 5, the clause declaring an attack against one ally to be an attack against all.

Pope talks end times, terror in Paris
Pope Francis struck a somber note with his most recent message to pilgrims at Saint Peter’s Square, telling the ten thousand or so gathered to consider their lives, their coming face-to-face with God and the state of the world, particularly in light of the Paris terrorist attacks.

The hacktivist group Anonymous, engaged in electronic warfare against Islamic State, has declared ‘total war’ on the terror group following the deadly attacks in France, while pledging to hunt down every single supporter of the jihadist group online.

J’accuse Obama
Historically, the President of the United States wears the title “leader of the free world.” Obama, in his presidency, has relinquished that role almost gleefully. As a result, the world is a far more dangerous place. Obama is the personification of leftist progressive ideology totally out of step with harsh reality. It is a faulted policy of denial, of cover up.

Islamic State threatens attack on Washington, other countries
“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day God willing, like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,”

ISIS Capital Bombed Heavily in Retaliation for Paris
Al-Raqqah, a city in Syria on the north bank of the Euphrates River, about 100 miles east of Aleppo, which has become the de facto capital of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, is being pounded heavily by the French Air Force in retaliation for Friday’s bombing attacks in Paris. Initial, unconfirmed reports from Arab social media sources count at least 30 consecutive airstrikes.

Alabama, Michigan reject Syrian migrants
Two US states say they will block or suspend a program to resettle Syrian migrants within their borders, citing major security concerns after Friday’s wave of Islamic State (ISIS) terror attacks in Paris that left at least 129 murdered.

Belgium and France Declare War on ISIS
The mastermind behind the gruesome killings of at least 132 people is Abdelhamid Abaaoud, 26, who is in Syria. He also is suspected of being behind plots to attack a high-speed train and a Paris church. The French and Belgian reaction to what has been described here as “France’s 9/11” is fierce and is leaving President Barack Obama on the defense against Republican critics who are afraid that lack of a more vigorous offense is leaving the United States next in line.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that it was time for the “world to wake up” and come together to fight terrorism which he asserted is fueled by “radical Islam.” “In Israel, as in France, terrorism is terrorism and standing behind it is radical Islam and its desire to destroy its victims. The time has come for the world to wake up and unite in order to defeat terrorism,” Netanyahu said…he also described the attacks as “vicious.”

China welcomes IMF backing to make yuan world reserve currency
China on Saturday welcomed backing from IMF experts that the yuan should be included in its reserve currencies, saying the move would strengthen the world’s financial system. Clinton’s debate performance leaves trail of fodder for political adversaries
It was not a tricky question, but Hillary Rodham Clinton found a way to make it so. Toward the end of the latest Democratic presidential debate over the weekend, she was asked about the rash of campus protests and whether she would encourage more of them. Clinton, who had plenty of stories of her work with activists, decided to go with biography. “I come from the ’60s, a long time ago,” she told moderator John Dickerson. “There was a lot of activism on campus.”

There is No “Radical Islam” and There is Also No “Moderate Islam”
Permit me to raise some doubts concerning the psychological mindset that claims the existence of two types of Islam. In order to do this, let us clarify an important point: Islam is a text-based framework of ideas and behaviors, covering religion, culture, strictures, politics, law and economics. It is an all-embracing way of life. There are no two Islams, no moderate one and no radical one, there is just one Qu’ran that includes everything: verses on Jihad and all out war against unbelievers …

G20 summit: Russia Syria action ‘raising refugee numbers’

Thousands Of Syrian Refugees Being Resettled By Obama Could End Up In 48 Out Of 50 U.S. States

The United States Of America At NightDespite everything that just happened in France, on Sunday the Obama administration made it clear that it still plans to resettle at least 10,000 Syrian refugees in communities all over the United States within the next year.  Thanks to Obama, the U.S. has already been absorbing thousands of refugees from the Middle East each year, and as you will see below, just last week administration officials expressed a desire to “increase and accelerate” that process.  So far, the list of states that have received the most refugees includes Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.  But by the time it is all said and done, it is likely that Syrian refugees will end up in virtually every major city in the United States.  The U.S. State Department has established “refugee processing centers” in 48 different states, and you can view the entire list right here.  Considering what just took place in Paris, is this really a good idea? Widespread Terrorism Is Just Part Of The Perfect Storm That Is Now Descending On The Western World

Perfect Storm - Public DomainWords cannot adequately describe the utter horror that was unleashed on the streets of Paris, France on Friday.  CNN is calling it “the worst violence witnessed in France since World War II“, and even though it happened a couple of days ago now, many of us are still having a really tough time processing what took place.  Somehow, a small group of less than 10 radical Islamists was able to unleash a coordinated wave of attacks that killed at least 129 people and injured at least 350.  All of this comes less than a year after the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris, and many in the western world are now starting to understand that something has fundamentally changed.  Even though France has a highly advanced anti-terrorism infrastructure, and even though it also has some of the strictest anti-gun laws in Europe, none of that did anything to prevent these attacks.  Despite all of our advanced technology, the openness of our society makes us highly vulnerable to Islamic terror.  And as more waves of refugees from the Middle East are absorbed by both Europe and the United States, it is inevitable that there will be more attacks like this. Paris Attacks Puts World On Notice: Confront Islam At Home Or Pay The Price

Until Obama and the other world leaders change their deadly and flawed thinking, the Islamic terror attacks will continue unabated

The French military has been a beehive of activity today. French fighter jets have carried out a series of ‘massive’ air strikes on Raqqa, destroying a key ISIS command centre and training camp in Syria. The heavy bombing raid comes just two days after the militant group claimed coordinated attacks in Paris that killed 128 people, the defence ministry said. ‘The raid … including 10 fighter jets, was launched simultaneously from the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Twenty bombs were dropped,’ the statement said.

Now all that is well and god, but don’t lose the lesson being taught here. What the french did today was a reaction to Islamic terrorism, it was not an action to prevent it. In boxing, you cannot win the fight by reacting, that’s purely defensive. In order to win any battle, either in the sports arena or on the field of battle, you need to take offensive measures.

The world is at the same tipping point in 2015 that it was back in 1932

In the 1930’s, Adolf Hitler and the Nazis slithered up out of the pits of Hell and declared that they would soon own the world. My dad, who served in WWII in the Air Force, told me time and again that they came very close to pulling it off. In our day, the same type of threat is present in the form of radical Islamic terrorism, but with a two-folder kicker that makes it ten times more dangerous than the Nazis.

  1. Not Branded To Any One Nation: Radical Islamic terrorism has no national borders, unlike the Nazis who were based in Germany. Islamic terror is everywhere and no where at the same time. When the 19 Muslims brought down the Twin Towers on 9/11, who do you bomb in retaliation? We attempted to do that by invading Iraq and Afghanistan, and you see how those results turned out. Why? Because 9/11 wasn’t hatched by a country, it was done by an ideology at the hands of individuals working as a group but at the same time alone.
  2. Indistinguishable From Moderate, Everyday Islam: One huge point that the Paris attacks brought home was that it is impossible to peel away and separate the radicals in Islam from the so-called moderates. If I put an eyedropper of poison into your 32oz. soda, what means would you employ to identify and remove the deadly one ounce from the good 31 ounces? Answer: it is impossible, you cannot do it. When the Muslim migrant invasion began two months ago, NTEB and hundreds of other news outlets warned as loud as we could that ISIS and al Qaeda terrorists were mixed in with the legitimate refugees. Europe’s response was to haughtily and dismissively waive their collective hands, denounce us as “racists” and “intolerant”, and then proceed to let an unvetted, unchecked, horde of “refugees” into their cities. The blood of those 128 dead people from Friday’s attacks is not only on the hands of the attackers, it is on the French leaders as well.

If you thought Friday’s Islamic terror attack was bad, wait until it happens again on a much larger scale in Germany. Because it’s going to unless Germany takes immediate measures to first contain and then to deport their hundreds of thousands of “migrants”. The brave though misguided European grand experiment in Muslim inclusiveness must be labeled an absolute failure, and this disastrous policy reversed with the greatest of haste.

Obama under fire for saying that ISIS has been ‘contained’ just hours before Paris attack as he heads to Turkey for G-20 Summit

On the very morning of the Muslim terror attacks, US President Barack Obama went on ABC News and declared that “ISIS has been contained”. I guess no one told ISIS about that, because mere hours later they pulled off the greatest attack in France since Hitler had Nazi tanks roll in during WWII. ISIS contained? Nope, not even close. As we previously stated, you cannot contain an ideology and you cannot sequester a movement. Until Obama and the other world leaders change their deadly and flawed thinking, the attacks will continue unabated.

So what do you do? The answer is surprisingly simple but it is certainly not an easy for liberal leaders to do. But there is one country where they are doing it, and with great success. Japan.

This is how they did it:

  1. Muslim Immigration Is Very Low: Officially, Japan is not closed to Muslim immigration, but it might as well be. Estimated place one Muslim in Japan for every 1,300 Japanese nationals. So if Japan’s population is 130 million, then that only makes for 1,300 Muslims, a very workable number. It’s very easy to keep an eye on such a small group like that.
  2. Language: The Arabic language is taught by very few academic institutes; we only found one such institute: The Arabic Islamic Institute in Tokyo. But even the International University of Japan in Tokyo does not offer courses on Arabic or Islamic languages.
  3. Religion: Until recently, there were only two mosques in Japan: Tokyo Jama Masjid and Kobe Mosque. Now, the total number of Muslim praying sites in Japan is counted in some 30 single story mosques and about a hundred apartment rooms set aside for prayers. And Japanese society expects Muslims to pray at home: no collective “prostrating” in the streets or squares; in Japan, for such “shows” the actors can get pretty high fines, and in those cases Japanese Police consider “serious”, the participants can be deported. Japan forbids exhorting people to adopt the religion of Islam (Dawah), and any Muslim who actively encourages conversion to Islam is seen as proselytizing to a foreign and undesirable culture.
  4. Unapologetic: Japan’s leaders know they have to protect their people and keep their economy strong, end of story. The most interesting thing in Japan’s approach to Islam is the fact that the Japanese do not feel the need to apologize to Muslims for the negative way in which they relate to Islam. They make a clear distinction between their economic interest in resources of oil and gas from Muslim countries, which behooves Japan to maintain good relations with these countries on the one hand, and on the other hand, the Japanese nationalist viewpoints, which see Islam as something that is suitable for others, not for Japan, and therefore the Muslims must remain outside.

Japan’s leaders figured out that in order to preserve their culture and way of life, it is of tantamount importance not allow any outside influence to get a foothold within their society. Japan makes little to no distinction between “moderate” Islam and radical Islamic terrorism, to them it is one and the same.

Number of Islamic terror attacks on Japanese soil: Zero.

In closing, let me leave you with this thought. Nearly 100% of all terror attacks committed anywhere, anytime around the globe are now Islamic in origin. Let that thought sink into your brain for a week or two, ponder on it, meditate on it. Then act on it. Listen to these words from a high-level Islamic thought leader:

“No one should feel safe without submitting to Islam, and those who refuse to submit must pay a high price. The aim of our movement is to turn the world into a series of wildernesses in which only those under our rule enjoy security.” Islamic strategist Abu-Bakr Naji

Are you listening, France? Are you listening, European Union? Are you listening, America?

My family doctor, the very wise Doc Colfax, once told me this, he said “son, one day there will be a cure for cancer, but there will never be a cure for stupid”. How true those words are when applied to the current Islamic crisis. The only way to stop the bloodshed is to seal your borders and return all Muslim migrants to their countries of origin, or to any other Muslim nation that will accept them. Case closed. Now, you can either follow that advice and live in relative peace, or you can keep having multicultural funerals like the 128 France will be having this week alone.

Like I said, it’s a simple solution but one that takes courage to act on in a world gone mad with liberalism. Do the world’s leaders love their people enough to do it?

Paris Concert Crowd Was Singing ‘Kiss The Devil’ The Moment Terror Attacks Began

Mere moments away from slaughter, Paris fans at Eagles Of Death Metal concert sang song glorifying the Devil

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” 1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)

With their hands raised high in the air, as you see in this photo taken moments before the attacks began, Paris fans at the Eagles Of Death Metal concert made the Satanic “devil horns” salute without seemingly a care in the world. Amazingly, the song that was playing the moment the shooting started was called ‘Kiss The Devil‘, and here are some of the lyrics from that tune:

“Kiss The Devil” – by Eagles Of Death Metal

Who’ll love the Devil?
Who’ll song his song?
Who will love the Devil and his song?

I’ll love the Devil
I’ll sing his song
I will love the Devil and his song

Who’ll love the Devil?
Who’ll kiss his tongue?
Who will kiss the Devil on his tongue?

I’ll love the Devil
I’ll kiss his tongue
I will kiss the Devil on his tongue

As the French death metal fans were singing along with those lyrics, offering their love to Satan, the Devil responded as the Devil always does. With death and destruction. Now, you go ahead and spin that any way you like, any way that makes you feel comfortable. But as a Bible believer, I know exactly what happened Friday night at 9:40PM GMT in Paris, France. People asked for a manifestation of the Satan, and guess what? They got one.

  • CLICK HERE to view photogallery of shooting at the concert.

It is safe to say that there were just about no Christians at the concert that night, that the vast majority of those people were lost, unsaved people. I wonder how many of them were offered the life-saving gospel of Jesus Christ and turned their nose up at it? Probably more than a few of them. We see it all the time as we street preach in St. Augustine. To most lost people, the Devil is a joke and Hell will be a beer and sex infused party. Nothing could be further from the truth.

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;” Hebrews 2:14 (KJV)

As those people bled and died on the dance floor of the Death Metal concert, they went from singing about the Devil to meeting the Devil face to face. Hell is no joke, it is absolutely not a party, and you do not have to end up there. Click here to read all about a place called Hell that you can avoid by trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Friday night they “kissed the Devil”, and the Devil kissed them right back. Don’t let it happen to you.

“And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” Acts 16:30.31 (KJV)

Calculated Culture Chaos

By David Fiorazo

Following in his footsteps in the early 1900s, atheist, philosopher, and founder of the Communist Party of Italy, Antonio Gramsci believed the new battleground must become the culture. America would never be defeated militarily. In order to overthrow the greatest nation on earth, Marxists had to destroy the traditional family, weaken our morality, and infiltrate churches, schools, media, entertainment, literature, and academia. And they did.

Which brings us to the obvious question: could what happened in Paris happen in America? Absolutely. We’ve already seen smaller-scale but deadly Islamic terror attacks in Fort Hood, Boston, Chattanooga, New York City and Oklahoma over the past few years, not to mention a number of foiled attempts on U.S. soil. That said, Here are a few sobering facts to keep in mind moving forward:

France’s war against the Jews – Caroline Glick

Could this be the real reason behind the Paris attack? Read Genesis 12:3. — OTM

France’s plan to use its position at the UN Security Council to bring about the deployment of international monitors to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem has been condemned by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his ministers as biased, unhelpful and detached from reality.

So I say again: What’s the happy ending here? Because if M Hollande isn’t prepared to end mass Muslim immigration to France and Europe, then his “pitiless war” isn’t serious. And, if they’re still willing to tolerate Mutti Merkel’s mad plan to reverse Germany’s demographic death spiral through fast-track Islamization, then Europeans aren’t serious. In the end, the decadence of Merkel, Hollande, Cameron and the rest of the fin de civilisation western leadership will cost you your world and everything you love.

Trump Calls for ‘Study’ of Mosques in the US After Paris Terror Attacks

Posted: 16 Nov 2015 06:46 AM PST

“You’re going to have to watch and study the mosques because a lot of talk is going on at the mosques,” Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump says on MSNBC when asked what should be done to protect U.S. citizens. “From what I heard, in the old days, meaning a while ago, we had great surveillance going on in and around mosques in New York City and I understand our mayor totally cut that out”

Asked about possibility of France shutting mosques with radical ties and whether he’d do same as U.S. president, Trump says, “I would hate to do it, but it’s something that you’re going to have to strongly consider because some of the ideas and some of the hatred, the absolute hatred, is coming from these areas” SOURCE

Islamic State threatens attack on Washington

Posted: 16 Nov 2015 06:34 AM PST

Islamic State warned in a new video on Monday that countries taking part in air strikes against Syria would suffer the same fate as France, and threatened to attack in Washington. The video, which appeared on a site used by Islamic State to post its messages, begins with news footage of the aftermath of Friday’s Paris shootings in which at least 129 people were killed. The message to countries involved in what it called the “crusader campaign” was delivered by a man dressed in fatigues and a turban, and identified in subtitles as Al Ghareeb the Algerian.

“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,” the man said. It was not immediately possible to verify the authenticity of the video, which purports to be the work of Islamic State fighters in the Iraqi province of Salahuddine, north of Baghdad. The Coded Message Obama Delivers When He Says ISIL Instead of ISIS.

DECODING OBAMA’S SPEECH REVEALS SOME STARTLING REVELATIONS

“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Genesis 12:3

In one press conference after another, when referring to the Muslim terror super-group ISIS, United States President Barack Obama will use the term ISIL instead of their former name ISIS or current name Islamic State. Have you ever wondered about that? We have. ISIL stands for the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant. Now, to us Westerners we don’t really make much of a distinction, do we? No, honestly from our perspective its all about the same. But how would a Muslim living in the Middle East view it? Just what is the Levant anyway? Let’s take a look.

The geographical term LEVANT refers to a multi-nation region in the Middle East. It’s a land bridge between Turkey to the north and Egypt to the south. If you look on a map, however, in the near exact middle of the nations that comprise the Levant, guess what you see? Come on, guess! It’s Israel. FULL REPORT

Strong 5.8 Earthquake Strikes between Honduras and the Cayman Islands

Posted: 16 Nov 2015 06:18 AM PST

A strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.8 has struck the Caribbean Sea between Honduras and the Cayman Islands, seismologists say. The earthquake, which struck at 6:39 p.m. local time in Honduras or 7:39 p.m. local time on the Cayman Islands, was centered about 167 kilometers (104 miles) south-southwest of George Town on the Cayman Islands, or 420 kilometers (261 miles) west of Montego Bay in Jamaica. It struck about 9.1 kilometers (5.7 miles) deep, making it a shallow earthquake, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

Computer models from the USGS estimated that some 54,000 people may have felt weak shaking from the earthquake, which is unlikely to have caused damage or casualties. Shaking could be felt in George Town, West Bay, Bodden Town, and some other towns in the region. FULL REPORT

Tamil Nadu continued to experience monsoon fury on Sunday, with heavy rains pounding various parts of the state under the influence of a well marked low pressure area over Bay of Bengal, as the death toll from rain-related incidents climbed to 59. There seemed to be no respite from the downpour with many parts of the city coming under water even as the weatherman forecast more rains for the next 24 hours, beginning 08:30 am.

The India Meteorological Department said in a bulletin on Sunday that the well-marked low pressure area over southwest Bay of Bengal adjoining Sri Lanka persisted and “it is likely to move west-northwestwards towards Tamil Nadu coast and would concentrate into a Depression during next 24 hours.” Under its influence, more rains were expected in the next 24 hours, the Regional Meteorological Department said. Anaikaracharthiram (Nagapattinam) received the maximum rainfall of 18 cm recorded till 8:30 am, RMC Director SR Ramanan said, adding, Sirkali from the same district registered 17 cm. Chennai received three cm rainfall between 8:30 am and 11:30 am on Sunday. FULL REPORT

Authorities said a tornado struck a Central California town, causing damage to some structures and knocking down trees and power lines. The National Weather Service said video and witness reports confirm a tornado touched down in Denair, about 13 miles southeast of Modesto, on Sunday afternoon.

Witnesses posted photos online of a funnel cloud looming over city streets. The Modesto Bee reports the twister swept along nearly a mile of Zeering Road, toppling trees and fences, breaking windows and ripping off part of a church roof. The tornado came as another cold storm sweeps across California. Hail and thunderstorms were reported in the Sierra Nevada foothills. Forecasters said up to 8 inches of snow could fall at the 5000 feet level, with possibly a foot at the highest peaks. SOURCE

Military analyst warns ISIS using terrorist attacks to incite a global apocalyptic war

Posted: 16 Nov 2015 05:44 AM PST

If investigators determine that the Islamic State is responsible for the catastrophic attacks in Paris, as the group claims and France alleges, the assaults represent a major leap in the group’s abilities. Until now, the Islamic State, also known as ISIS or ISIL, has relied mainly on “lone wolf” followers to attack the West, with relatively low-tech assaults — shootings, the taking of hostages, hit-and-runs — that draw wide attention but do not cause mass casualties.

“This is much different than a normal lone wolf inspired attack,” said Patrick M. Skinner, a former C.I.A. operations officer now with the Soufan Group, a security consultancy. “This was choreographed. The fact that they could do this, especially in Paris, where the intelligence service is really good, clearly there’s a hole somewhere,” Mr. Skinner said.

The Islamic State has been expanding beyond its base in Iraq and Syria since it declared a caliphate, or Islamic state, in June 2014. The group is focused on three parallel tracks, according to Harleen Gambhir, an analyst at the Institute for the Study of War: inciting regional conflict with attacks in Iraq and Syria;, building relationships with jihadist groups that can carry out military operations across the Middle East and North Africa; and inspiring, and sometimes helping, ISIS sympathizers to conduct attacks in the West. “The goal,” Ms. Gambhir said, “is that through these regional affiliates and through efforts to create chaos in the wider world, the organization will be able to expand, and perhaps incite a global apocalyptic war.” FULL REPORT

PROPHECY WATCH: The battle sites that ISIS predict will bring about the end of the world

Posted: 16 Nov 2015 05:39 AM PST

The savage terror group was founded on the belief that all civilisations will crumble in an imminent apocalypse, with their wild theory also identifying four likely locations for a battle they claim will bring about the end of the world. Three of those sites exist in the Middle East, including two in Syria and one in Israel. But the fanatics have also pinpointed Italy’s capital Rome as the site of another great clash between their soldiers and the West. “The Muslim armies are supposed to take over Rome, and eventually they are supposed to take over the whole world,” explained William McCants, a US expert on jihadism, who has written a new book on the ISIS obsession with the apocalypse.

“The group believes that Muslims will conquer the Italian capital in the course of conquering the entire world. There will be an ultimate victory for Islam and then the end of the world comes.” ISIS may claim that the end is nigh, but unsurpisingly their senior leaders – such as US most-wanted Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi – have failed to put an exact date on it. In fact, according to the terror group, the apocalypse doesn’t have a fixed date. Our Time is Short

Read: Recommitting Your Life To God and Jesus Christ – Restoration and Forgiveness With God and Jesus Christ (Updated Version)

Ready to start your new life with God?

Who do you think that I am?

With that brief question Jesus Christ confronted His followers with the most important issue they would ever face. He had spent much time with them and made some bold claims about His identity and authority. Now the time had come for them either to believe or deny His teachings.

Who do you say Jesus is? Your response to Him will determine not only your values and lifestyle, but your eternal destiny as well.

What difference does the doctrine of humans being in “the image of God” make?

WINTERY KNIGHT

Here’s an article from the leftist The Week about how Christianity transformed our view of the value of children. (H/T Trina)

It says:

We have forgotten just how deep a cultural revolution Christianity wrought. In fact, we forget about it precisely because of how deep it was: There are many ideas that we simply take for granted as natural and obvious, when in fact they didn’t exist until the arrival of Christianity changed things completely. Take, for instance, the idea of children.

Today, it is simply taken for granted that the innocence and vulnerability of children makes them beings of particular value, and entitled to particular care. We also romanticize children — their beauty, their joy, their liveliness. Our culture encourages us to let ourselves fall prey to our gooey feelings whenever we look at baby pictures. What could be more natural?

In fact, this view of children is a…

21 Misunderstandings of Calvinism: The Second Misunderstanding

Reformedontheweb's Blog

By Sam Waldron

I. Misunderstandings related to Total Depravity

(2) Calvinists do not believe in human responsibility!

This assertion is also a slander on authentic Calvinism. Calvinists not only believe that men have a natural liberty, but they also agree that men are responsible for their actions because of that natural liberty.

The reason why Arminians claim that Calvinists deny human responsibility is that they have adopted what amounts to a Pelagian premise into their theology. They believe that responsibility assumes ability. The notion that responsibility for doing something assumes ability to do something is not true—if you are talking about moral ability. The Bible in many places teaches that men cannot come to Christ, but it still holds them responsible to do so.

John 6:44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.

A Sinful Man After God’s Own Heart

Unfathomable Grace

What is your sin of choice? What is your wicked default mode? What is your spiritual thorn in the flesh that God has not yet removed from your life? What transgression is it that causes you to say with the Apostle Paul, “Oh, wretched man that I am!” What character trait or conduct have you that greatly troubles your Lord and Savior?

Is your default sin an internal issue? Is it a matter of the head and heart? Do you consistently break God’s Law by having sinful fear, sinful anxiety, sinful depression, or Satanic pride? Do you persistently struggle with too little contentment, satisfaction, or thanksgiving? Are you one who constantly complains about God’s providence in your life? Are you perpetually materialistic or hedonistic? Daily, do you struggle with unrighteous lust or anger? On the outside, do you look holy and righteous while the inside you know you are still spiritually putrid?

Has your internal default…

Democrats admit 10,000 Syrian refugees to USA, with 200,000 more on the way

WINTERY KNIGHT

On Saturday night, we heard from one of the Democrats that global warming causes terrorist attacks like the one in Paris. Although France is a world leader in letting in unskilled immigrants from Muslim countries, according to the Democrats, this could not have been the source of the terrorist attack. It had to be the global warming that caused it.

This strategy of blaming weather for terrorism is a bit different than their normal habit of calling terrorist attacks “senseless violence“, “workplace violence“, “random violence“, and shooting up Jews in France as“random“. Challenged to speak the phrase “radical Islam” in the debate, the Democrats declined to do so. How is that showing seriousness about national security?

Meanwhile, Democrats are already paving the way for the next terrorist attack on American soil, welcoming in Syrian refugees, most of which fit the profile of…

THE WORDS OF BARACK OBAMA ON ISLAM AND CHRISTIANITY SPEAK VOLUMES

Absolute Truth from the Word of God

Obama Muslim

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee”  (Proverbs 23:7).

In 2008, Barack Obama promised to “Fundamentally Transform” this nation.  Little did we know that his plans transcended the United States. Everything was calculated. This man was put into place by the powers that be (Soros et al) with a worldwide mission.

Let’s look at quotes from Obama, first about Islam:

1. “The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam.”

So, in other words he is saying that the future should have only those people who love and worship the Prophet of Islam.

2.“The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer”

He calls himself a Christian, and if I remember correctly. We Christians love to say “The sweet sound I know is the name of Jesus.”

America – The Not so Beautiful

Absolute Truth from the Word of God

the_end_of_america

I’m angry. I’m really angry. Before I go on, I want to say that I know that God is in control. But as a Christian, it is my duty to stand for righteousness, and stand against evil!

When we were growing up, our dad would speak about America with tears in his eyes. His parents and my mom’s parents emigrated from Ukraine around 1903. They fled persecution as Jews to come to America. Our nation was known in the world as the best country on earth. My dad was a Patriot. He served in WWII as a medic in the army. He loved that America stood with Israel. I think that is what brought more tears to his eyes than anything else.

How has this happened so quickly, brethren? I remember in the 1950’s, saying the Lord’s Prayer in school. My parents knew that we said that, and they didn’t…

LEGAL IMMIGRATION – It’s How We Do Things in a Nation of Laws

Absolute Truth from the Word of God

My people came to America from Ukraine around 1903. They came over legally through Ellis Island, NY.  They were fleeing more persecution as Jews. They knew our past, and the signs in Europe clearly showed that the past was soon to be repeated.  If they had been in Ukraine in the 1930’s and 40’s, they most likely would have perished.

They did not know English but they learned it.  They had very little money. My grandparents on both sides had lived in Kiev, Ukraine. I remember them speaking of coming to America. They wanted to be Americans. They spoke of choking up when they saw the Statue of Liberty.  They always made me proud to be an American when I would listen to their stories.

My people understood that it was a blessing to be coming to a country where they would not have to fear being slaughtered. But they…
