December 1, 2015 US and World Briefing Report

Dec. 1, 2015

The U.S. will meet commitments to help finance developing nations’ efforts to reduce carbon pollution, President Obama said, challenging congressional Republicans who have fought most of his environmental policies.

Bill Gates, the world’s richest man, led a group of philanthropists in vowing to plow $2 billion into clean energy through personal investments and a new fund to be set up next year.

The U.S. should conduct far more commando raids against Islamic State, say lawmakers and former defense officials who are pushing President Obama to deploy special-operations forces more aggressively against the extremists.

Pope Francis, galvanized by a scandal over Vatican finances, has ordered the most powerful bodies in the city-state to launch an unprecedented audit of its wealth and crack down on runaway spending.

Puerto Rico’s $70 billion debt crisis has already led to four hearings this year in the U.S. Congress, hours of testimony and no consensus over how to help the Caribbean commonwealth. Another hearing Tuesday is unlikely to change that.

China’s manufacturing conditions slipped to the weakest level in more than three years as sluggishness in the nation’s old growth drivers add to risks facing the government’s growth target.

AirAsia Flight 8501’s pilots effectively wrestled each other at the controls as they sought to fight off an electronics-system failure, dooming the plane and the lives of all 162 people on board last year, Indonesian crash investigators found.

Beijing’s worst pollution of the year forced some parents to keep their children home from school as municipal officials limited factory output in efforts to dispel a shroud of smog that covered the Chinese capital for the third day in a row.

The Farce of the Paris Climate Change Summit

Obama To Turkey: Seal Off The Border To Syria, Turkey To Obama: Handle Mexico First
Obama wants Turkey to close its 60-mile-long border with Syria to end the influx of new Islamic State fighters pouring into Syria and Iraq. But a Turkish official quickly pointed out to The Wall Street Journal the irony in Washington’s call to close off the border, given the U.S. is completely unable to stop flows in and out of Mexico.

Republicans warn Obama: No global warming money if he end-runs Congress
Just in case you were under the impression Obama is merely wasting time at the UN Climate Conference in Paris, no, he’s looking to waste a fair amount of U.S. taxpayer money too – with $3 billion set to directly from the U.S. Treasury to the UN Green Climate Fund. Now you might remember that whole thing about how Congress controls the purse strings, which somehow never seems to stop Obama from spending as much as he wants however he wants regardless of congressional disapproval.

Obama never required Iran to sign nuke deal, it’s not legally binding, and yes, we’re honoring it
Unbelievable…In Obamaland, words have no meaning. We know this. Illegal Immigrants aren’t here illegally, the Islamic State isn’t Islamic, and affordable healthcare isn’t affordable. Now we’re learning that deals aren’t really deals. Actual “deals” are two-sided affairs and, according to the National Review, the President’s horrible nuclear deal with Iran doesn’t really qualify.

There Are Still No Dead Bodies!!!
Why is it impossible for investigative media reporters to get it right about health supplements? In March of 2013 medical research showed that every day 290 North Americans die from prescription drugs. To kill the same number of people a jumbo jet plane would have to crash every day. I asked Health Canada’s forensic bureaucrats to explain where the dead bodies are who took natural supplements? I have never had a reply.

Save the Environment—Mail Your Shoes to Paris
The ‘Biggest Show on Earth’ is now underway in still grief-stricken Paris, where the melodrama and hypocrisy on display is enough to gag a blue whale. In addition to son Bilal’s illegal and lucrative oil trading for ISIS, Sümeyye Erdogan, the daughter of the Turkish President apparently runs a secret hospital camp inside Turkey just over the Syrian border. Just earlier today, 24 hours after a Russian plane was brought down by the country whose president three years ago said “a short-term border violation can never be a pretext for an attack”, had this to say: “We have serious doubts this was an unintended incident and believe this is a planned provocation” by Turkey.

“It is only a matter of time before we try transplanting uteri into novel subjects, like men, and upsetting all natural boundaries—because we can,” she warned. “It is as if we are sneering in the face of our Creator, while proclaiming our freedom from His patronizingly imposed boundaries and limitations for our lives.”

How to (Really) Engineer a Human Baby
Last April, Chinese researchers reported that they had tried genetically editing human embryos for the first time to correct a disease gene. Out of more than 80 embryos, however, only a handful came out correctly. In the rest, the gene didn’t get fixed properly, or they ended up with unintended alterations to their DNA.

Future of human gene editing to be decided at landmark summit
The question could hardly be more profound. Having stumbled upon a simple means to make precise changes to the code of life, should humans take control of their genetic fate, and rewrite the DNA of future generations? an international group of experts will descend on Washington DC next week for a three day summit. Convened with some urgency by the US, UK and Chinese national academies, the meeting is billed as a “global discussion”.

World War III Draws Closer As Russia Accuses Turkey Of Being ‘Secret Allies’ With ISIS

2S19 Msta-S - Photo from Wikimedia CommonsAre Russia and Turkey on the verge of going to war?  In remarks that were almost entirely ignored by the western media, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused the Turkish government of being “secret allies” with ISIS on Friday.  And on Monday, the Russians announced that they would be attempting to seal the border between Syria and Turkey, and we also learned that the Russians have been rushing heavy artillery units into Syria.  As tensions between Russia and Turkey continue to escalate, could we be in danger of seeing World War III erupt in the Middle East? IMF Stuns World Markets By Approving China’s Yuan As A Major World Currency

The IMF just approved the Chinese yuan as a major world currency. What comes next is political

“And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.” Revelation 16:12 (KJV)

EDITOR’S NOTE: The Bible says that in the end times, China is a major world player, and that is exactly the direction we now see them moving in. They are currently the world’s second largest economy behind the United States, and advancing quite rapidly. They would love to see the dollar booted and the Yuan take it’s place. Will it happen? It just might…let’s see how the markets react to today’s stunning news.

On Monday afternoon, the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) Executive Board voted in favor of allowing China’s currency — the yuan (or renminbi) — to join the ranks of the world’s most elite monies. On Oct. 1, 2016, the yuan will officially be added to the IMF’s Special Drawing Rights (SDR) basket of currencies, which previously included only the dollar, euro, yen, and pound sterling.  The decision to include the yuan in the basket indicates the board felt the yuan meets the required “freely useable” standard, meaning it is widely used to settle international transactions and widely traded in foreign exchange markets.

The move legitimizes the yuan as a global reserve currency — an important designation that I will explain below. And which governments will start investing most significantly in yuan? Those that dislike the U.S.-led international order, as I will explain.

What is a reserve currency?

Just like individuals, governments maintain their own investment portfolios that function as a sort-of “rainy day fund.” Typically, central banks operate as their country’s investment managers, regularly making decisions about how best to allocate the government’s financial assets.

A key part of this process is deciding on the currency denomination of their investments. For example, if a central bank decides to invest heavily in Treasury bonds, that means the country holds a lot of U.S. dollars in reserve. Investments in German government bonds, conversely, represent euro holdings. These assets are appropriately referred to as “foreign exchange reserves.”

Central banks typically hold a blend of currencies in their foreign exchange reserves. Today, the U.S. dollar is the world’s most popular reserve currency, representing roughly 64 percent of global reserve assets. The second most popular is the euro, at about 20 percent, and the pound sterling and yen come in at about 5 and 4 percent respectively.

That means roughly 93 percent of the world’s foreign exchange reserves are held in one of these four currencies. Typically, when people use the term “reserve currency” they are referring to this exclusive group.

These are the four currencies listed in the IMF’s SDR basket. In practical terms, the SDR’s primary function is as a unit of account for the IMF, with official IMF documents reporting the institution’s own assets and liabilities in SDR terms. Its value, which changes daily, is based on the exchange rates of the four — soon to be five — currencies in the SDR basket.

Why does the IMF’s decision matter?

The IMF’s opinion means something to reserve currency managers and financial markets. Including the yuan in the SDR basket can be thought of as the IMF’s Good Housekeeping “Seal of Approval,” signalling that it is ready for the big time as a global investment and trade settlement currency.

Recently, one major global bank predicted that SDR classification could lead asset managers, including central banks and private investors alike, to shift a whopping $1 trillion into yuan. Issuing a top reserve currency tends to be quite beneficial. For example, the dollar’s role as a top reserve currency is one of the reasons the U.S. government is able to borrow from foreign creditors so cheaply. These low rates are transferred on to American citizens. Estimates suggest that top reserve status confers an estimated $100 billion on the U.S. economy, annually.

If global demand for the yuan grows, Beijing would benefit in similar ways.

Of course, SDR classification alone will not propel the yuan to challenge the dollar for the position of top global reserve currency. Reserve decisions are largely driven by the economic attractiveness of particular currencies.

Governments that issue top reserve currencies need to provide large and open financial markets where foreign investors — including central banks — can buy and sell assets in the currency freely and quickly. China is slowly moving in this direction.

A relatively stable exchange rate also enhances a reserve currency’s economic attractiveness. Similarly, the more the yuan is used in trade settlement and debt markets, the more likely central banks are to increase their holdings of the currency. source

Pope Francis Declares That ‘Christians And Muslims Are Brothers And Sisters’

Biblical Christianity and Islam are as far apart from each other as light is from darkness

Pope Francis is not speaking the truth when he says that ‘Christians and Muslims are brother and sister’, not by a long shot. The religion is Islam clearly teaches that God did not have a son, much less an only begotten one. Islam reduces Jesus Christ to a mere prophet on par with Mohammed. The Bible says that whosoever denies that Jesus is the Son of God is of Antichrist! This is what the Qu’ran says about Jesus:

  • “Further, that He may warn those (also) who say, “God hath begotten a son”: No knowledge have they of such a thing, nor had their fathers. It is a grievous thing that issues from their mouths as a saying what they say is nothing but falsehood!” Sura 18:4-5

and this is what the Bible says about Jesus:

  • “While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” Matthew 17:5 (KJV)

The Huffington Post reported today that as U.N. sharpshooters looked out from the tops of the minarets crowning the freshly repainted green and white mosque, hundreds of PK5’s Muslims listened as Francis made an impassioned appeal for an end to the violence.

“Christians and Muslims are brothers and sisters,” he said after a speech by Imam Tidiani Moussa Naibi, one of the local religious leaders trying to foster dialogue.

“Those who claim to believe in God must also be men and women of peace,” he said, noting that Christians, Muslims and followers of traditional religions had lived together in peace for many years.

He appealed for “an end to every act which, from whatever side, disfigures the face of God and whose ultimate aim is to defend particular interests by any and all means.”

Allah is not the “Arabic word for God”, Allah is the name of the moon god from ancient Persia and was one of 360 gods that the pagan Arabs worshipped. Mohammed came along and, in a vain attempt to copy the Bible, began to teach about the “one god” named Allah. Mohammed stole from the Bible where it suited him to do so, but mostly made stuff up from whole cloth like Joseph Smith would later do starting the Mormon religion in 1823.

Pope Francis is telling you a whopping lie when he attempts to equate Biblical Christianity with pagan Islam, and don’t you believe it for a second. Christianity and Islam are as far apart as the light is from the darkness. Far from being the “religion of peace”, Islam is the religion of the Devil. Click here to see just how nasty and devilish Islam truly is. Jesus says that He and He alone is the one and only way to God, and He shares that title and distinction with no one.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 (KJV)

Sorry, Mohammed, but according to the Bible, you don’t even figure into the equation. The God of the Bible has nothing in common with the Allah of Mohammed’s imagination.

Pope Francis, why don’t you get right with the real God and get saved?

Since Paris Attacks, Obama Admits 132 Male Sunni Muslim ‘Refugees’ Into U.S.

Since the Paris terror attacks on November 13, the State Department has admitted 132 Syrian refugees into the United States, and all 132 are Sunni Muslims

No Christian, Druze, Shi’ite, Alawite, or member of any other religious minority in Syria has been admitted over that period, according to data from the State Department Refugee Processing Center. The majority of the 132 Syrian refugees permitted to resettle in the U.S. since November 13 (72) are male, the minority female (60). Of the 132 total, 39 (29.5 percent) have been men between the ages of 14 and 50. Another 53 (40 percent) are children aged under 14, of whom 30 are males and 23 females.

The Paris terror attacks, which killed 130 people and were claimed by Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS/ISIL), brought fresh scrutiny onto the issue of refugees from the Syrian conflict, amid concerns the terrorist group was seeking to infiltrate Western countries through refugee settlement programs.

The Refugee Processing Center admission figures since the attacks in Paris continue a trend evident since the start of the current fiscal year, on October 1. President Obama plans to resettle 10,000 Syrian refugees in the U.S. during fiscal year 2016.

Since FY 2016 began two months ago, 423 Syrian refugees have been admitted into the U.S., of whom 418 (98.8 percent) were Sunni Muslims. The remaining five (1.2 percent) were Christians – three Catholic, one Orthodox and one simply described as “Christian.”

One hundred and eleven of them (26 percent) are men aged between 14 and 50.

The age and gender breakdown of the 423 refugees admitted in FY 2016 is:

Under 14:        108 male         88 female

14-50:             111 male         95 female

Over 50:          11 male           10 female

Total:              230 male         193 female

A similar trend can be seen over the entire period of the Syrian civil war, which began in mid-March 2011.

Over that time, a total of 2,296 Syrian refugees have been admitted into the U.S. as of Monday. Of those, 2,137 (93 percent) were Sunni Muslims, an additional 60 were described simply as “Moslem,” and 13 were Shia.

Only 53 (2.3 percent) were Christian (including five Orthodox and four Catholics). The remaining religious breakdown was eight Jehovah’s Witness, six Zoroastrians, three atheists, two Baha’i, one Yazidi, seven “no religion” and six “other religion.”

Of the total 2,296 Syrian refugees admitted since March 2011, 633 (27.5 percent) are men aged between 14 and 50. Therefore, more than one-quarter of the Syrian refugees allowed entry into the U.S. since the conflict began are men aged 14-50, and the vast majority of them are Sunni Muslim.

Christians disproportionately represented among refugees admitted

Syrian Christians – like other non-Sunni minorities – have been singled out for persecution by ISIS and other jihadist groups fighting there.

Yet the Christian cohort among the Syrian refugees accepted into the U.S. since the war began (2.3 percent) is considerably smaller than the proportion of Christians in the Syrian population – 10 percent, according to the CIA World Factbook.

At the same time, the proportion of Sunni Muslims among the accepted refugees (93 percent since the war began) is significantly higher than the proportion of Sunni Muslims in the Syrian population – 74 percent.

One possible reason for this is that most refugees considered for resettlement in the U.S. are first referred by the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) – but according to Christian relief groups Christians flying the conflict are often afraid to register with the U.N. and generally avoid U.N. refugee camps because they are targeted there too.

(Incidentally, although civil war deaths and displacement have had an enormous impact on the population, according to the CIA World Factbook the proportion of Sunni Muslims remains steady: The total estimated population figure has dropped from 22.5 million in mid-2010 to 17.06 million in mid-2014, but the Sunni proportion of 74 percent has not changed over that period.)

CNSNews.com has submitted questions to the State Department and its Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration about the relatively small proportion of Christians among the Syrian refugees admitted to the U.S.

‘Infiltration of terrorists’

After the terrorist attacks in Paris on November 13, French prosecutors said that at least two of the attackers traveled through Greece posing as refugees fleeing from the Syrian conflict. A Syrian passport found near the body of one of the suicide bombers involved in the attack had been used by a person who arrived in Greece from Turkey in October, claiming to be a refugee.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad told Czech Television in an interview due to air on Tuesday that most of the refugees from his country trying to get into Europe were “good Syrians” and “patriots.”

“But of course you have infiltration of terrorists among them, that is true,” he added, according to excerpts released by the network.

A State Department factsheet issued last Wednesday stated that Syrian refugees admitted to the U.S. since the beginning of FY2011 were allowed to do so “only after the most extensive level of security screening of any category of traveler to the United States. None have been arrested or removed on terrorism charges.”

It said that refugees of all nationalities considered for admission to the U.S. “undergo a rigorous security screening involving multiple federal intelligence, security and law enforcement agencies.”

“Mindful of the particular conditions of the Syria crisis, Syrian refugees go through an enhanced level of review,” the State Department said. source

KEEP PRAYING! Beyonce Becomes emotional Confesses God is real

Posted: 01 Dec 2015 07:49 AM PST

As believers in Christ we are commanded to pray for the lost and share the Gospel of the Kingdom to them, in hopes that the scales that Satan has put over their eyes and minds may be removed and they would come to the knowledge of the truth! Many believers are  quick to judge rather than pray! In the video below of Beyonce.

2 Corinthians 3-4But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

It is quite evident that the seed of the Word of Christ was planted in her at an early age by her Grandmother but over time, like many of us the enemy pulls us off course by the Lust of the Flesh, The Lust of the Eyes and the Pride of Life. What would happen if everyone began to truly intercede for these celebrities and stars that the seed of the word in their hearts would begin to blossom and the Holy Spirit would work in their lives pulling them back in course?

BP oil spill killed off beach microbes, damaging entire ecosystem

Posted: 01 Dec 2015 07:35 AM PST

The 2010 BP (Deepwater Horizon) oil spill caused long-lasting damage to the microbial ecosystem of Gulf beaches, suggests a study conducted by researchers from Georgia Tech and published in the ISME Journal on February 17. The April 2010 spill was the worst offshore oil spill in U.S. history. It began when the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig exploded, killing 11 workers and sending 5.0 million barrels (210 million gallons) of oil gushing into the Gulf of Mexico.

The researchers found that although much of the oil that washed ashore following the spill was broken down by soil bacteria, most species of bacteria were killed by the contamination. This left the overall soil ecosystem – the foundation of the larger ecosystem – much less diverse. Nitrogen-fixing bacteria in particular were hard hit. The study was partially funded by BP. The researchers compared samples taken in May 2010, just before the oil reached the Florida panhandle, with samples taken just after it arrived (July and October 2010), as well as a year later (June 2011). They found that, as expected, the prevalence of hydrocarbon-digesting bacteria increased in the short term. Over the longer term, however, the numbers of these bacteria declined again, presumably as they used up the extra food. FULL REPORT

Russia unveils secret nuclear-armed Drone Sub

Posted: 01 Dec 2015 07:01 AM PST

U.S. intelligence agencies believe that the Russian military is set to build a new nuclear-powered drone submarine that can silently deliver a massive atomic weapon to American port cities on both coasts. As reported by the Washington Free Beacon, U.S. intelligence officials appeared to get confirmation of the new weapon system – one officials had previously suspected was under development – via a Russian government-linked TV network broadcast of a high-level meeting recently held between President Vladimir Putin and members of his top military staff.

Initial reports indicated that details surrounding the sub might have been disclosed inadvertently – a claim asserted by Russian diplomatic officials in a statement to the Russian media. “Some secret information did indeed end up in front of the camera lenses, so it was later deleted,” said Russian spokesman Dmitri Peskov, as quoted by Interfax. “We hope this won’t happen again.” But after careful analysis of the broadcast, taken in context of comments made by Putin criticizing U.S. missile defense efforts, U.S. intelligence officials now believe the broadcast of the sub plans was intentional. COLD SHOULDER – Marine collecting toys for tots booted from Walmart

Posted: 01 Dec 2015 06:55 AM PST

A former Marine in full dress who has spent the past 15 years collecting for the Toys for Tots charity at the Walmart Supercenter in Medina, Ohio, was shocked when he went to assume his post inside the store but was told by management: you need to stay outside. In previous years, John Harkness, the former Marine who’s dressed in full uniform to collect for the charity, has been allowed to stay inside the Walmart, out of the cold. But apparently, the store policy, enacted in 2000, prohibits charity collectors from standing inside the store. Fox News reported the Walmart for years ignored that policy for Harkness. But a change in management this year brought a change in reaction to Harkness.

“They made us stay outside,” Harkness said to WOIO, a CBS affiliate. “We’re there to collect toys for children that need a Christmas.” At least one shopper passing the shivering former Marine on her way to Christmas shop expressed outrage at the treatment he received from Walmart. “I just said, why can’t they put you inside? This is crap,” said Mary Murdock, to WOIO. And a photo posted of Harkness on Facebook was similarly critical of Walmart. The text alongside the photo read: “He can bleed and die, but he can’t stand inside.” FULL REPORT

ONE WORLD RELIGION – Imam, Rabbi And Pastor Join Hands In Powerful Display Of Unity

Posted: 01 Dec 2015 06:47 AM PST

The November 13 terrorist attacks in Paris has left the world reeling. Once again, religion is at the crux of a tragedy that has threatened to tear the global community apart. But in Bethesda, Maryland, Muslim, Jewish and Christian leaders stood together over the weekend to share a message of solidarity. Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church hosted an interfaith service on Sunday joined by members of the Bethesda Jewish Congregation and the Islamic Community Center of Potomac.

Dr. Tarek Elgawhary of the ICCP, Rabbi Schnitzer of BJC and Pastor David Gray of BHPC lead the congregation through a conversation entitled, “The Pitfalls and Promise of Fear in Our Traditions and World.” “Today we lift up the ashes of our loss,” said Schnitzer during the service. “The lives that continue, haunted forever by the pain of absence, we lift up the ashes of our remorse. For the charred visions of peace and the dry taste of fear, we lift up the ashes of our grief.” The service included music and readings from Christian, Jewish and Islamic traditions, followed by a shared meal for all those in attendance. Khamenei: Iran to Back Palestinian Intifada ‘In Any Way We Can’

Posted: 01 Dec 2015 06:41 AM PST

Iran’s supreme leader said on Wednesday that Iran would support the Palestinian uprising against Israel “in any way we can,” and rejected U.S. accusations that a recent wave of Palestinian knife and car-ramming attacks amounted to “terrorism.” Khamenei was speaking a day after U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, during a visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories, described the spate of attacks as “terrorism” that should be condemned.  Israel and the United States have long accused Iran of supplying arms to the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, considered by Washington as a terrorist organisation.

Tehran says it gives only moral, financial and humanitarian support. “Despite all the efforts of the Arrogance (the United States) … and even with cooperation from Arab countries, the Palestinian intifada has started in the West Bank,” state television quoted Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as saying.  “We will defend the movement of the Palestinian people with all of our existence, and in any way and as long as we can,” Khamenei reportedly told a gathering of the Basij, Iran’s volunteer militia.  FULL REPORT

Hawaii Officials Seek Public’s Help To Stop Dengue Fever Spread

Posted: 01 Dec 2015 06:36 AM PST

The number of people in Hawaii infected by dengue fever continues to rise, and officials asked the public to help limit the spread of the virus. The state Department of Health reported Monday that 112 people have been infected on Hawaii’s Big Island since Sept. 11, including 14 visitors to the Aloha State. There have been no cases of dengue fever so far on Oahu, Maui or Kauai, said Virginia Pressler, director of the state Department of Health.

“Although there is no dengue on Oahu, Kauai and Maui, we all feel for our brothers and sisters,” Pressler said. “My family all lives on Hawaii Island. We are doing everything we can collectively.” Officials asked people throughout the state to remove standing water where mosquitoes breed and dump excess water out of potted plants or toys in the yard. Taking these precautions could help reduce the chances of the virus spreading to other islands, they said. FULL REPORT

Our Time is Short

Read: Recommitting Your Life To God and Jesus Christ – Restoration and Forgiveness With God and Jesus Christ (Updated Version)

What is The Gospel?

God made everything out of nothing, including you and me. His main purpose in creation was to bring him pleasure.

The chief way in which we as humanity do this is through loving, obeying, and enjoying him perfectly.

Instead of this, we have sinned against our loving Creator and acted in high-handed rebellion.

God has vowed that he will righteously and lovingly judge sinners with eternal death.

But God, being merciful, loving, gracious, and just, sent his own son, Jesus Christ, in the likeness of man to live as a man; fulfilling his perfect requirements in the place of sinners; loving, obeying, and enjoying him perfectly.

And further, his son bore the eternal judgment of God upon the cross of Calvary, as he satisfied the eternal anger of God, standing in the place of sinners. God treated Jesus as a sinner, though he was perfectly sinless, that he might declare sinners as perfect.

This glorious transaction occurs as the sinner puts their faith (dependence, trust) in the Lord Jesus Christ as their substitute. God then charges Christ’s perfection to the sinner, and no longer views him as an enemy but instead an adopted son covered in the perfect righteousness of his son.

God furnished proof that this sacrifice was accepted by raising Jesus from the dead.

God will judge the world in righteousness and all of those who are not covered in the righteousness of Christ, depending on him for forgiveness, will be forced to stand on their own to bear the eternal anger of God.

Therefore, all must turn from sin and receive Christ Jesus as Lord.

What Is the Gospel?

There is no greater message to be heard than that which we call the gospel. But as important as that is, it is often given to massive distortions or over simplifications. People think they’re preaching the gospel to you when they tell you, ‘you can have a purpose to your life’, or that ‘you can have meaning to your life’, or that ‘you can have a personal relationship with Jesus.’ All of those things are true, and they’re all important, but they don’t get to the heart of the gospel.

The gospel is called the ‘good news’ because it addresses the most serious problem that you and I have as human beings, and that problem is simply this: God is holy and He is just, and I’m not. And at the end of my life, I’m going to stand before a just and holy God, and I’ll be judged. And I’ll be judged either on the basis of my own righteousness–or lack of it –or the righteousness of another. The good news of the gospel is that Jesus lived a life of perfect righteousness, of perfect obedience to God, not for His own well being but for His people. He has done for me what I couldn’t possibly do for myself. But not only has He lived that life of perfect obedience, He offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice to satisfy the justice and the righteousness of God.

The great misconception in our day is this: that God isn’t concerned to protect His own integrity. He’s a kind of wishy-washy deity, who just waves a wand of forgiveness over everybody. No. For God to forgive you is a very costly matter. It cost the sacrifice of His own Son. So valuable was that sacrifice that God pronounced it valuable by raising Him from the dead – so that Christ died for us, He was raised for our justification. So the gospel is something objective. It is the message of who Jesus is and what He did. And it also has a subjective dimension. How are the benefits of Jesus subjectively appropriated to us? How do I get it? The Bible makes it clear that we are justified not by our works, not by our efforts, not by our deeds, but by faith–and by faith alone. The only way you can receive the benefit of Christ’s life and death is by putting your trust in Him–and in Him alone. You do that, you’re declared just by God, you’re adopted into His family, you’re forgiven of all of your sins, and you have begun your pilgrimage for eternity.

The Gospel on 5 Fingers

If you picked up a hitchhiker (not that I recommend doing that) and he saw a Bible on your car seat and said, “I’ve heard about this thing called the Gospel – can you explain it to me before you drop me off in one minute up the street?” What would you say?

Can you explain the gospel in 30 seconds? In one minute? In five minutes?

Here’s one way I have found helpful. The five main components of the gospel can be remembered on 5 fingers of one hand. Here they are:

1) Jesus’ birth
2) Jesus’ life
3) Jesus’ death
4) Jesus’ resurrection
5) Jesus’ ascension

Obviously each point can be elaborated on depending on how much time you have. Here’s the short version:

1) Jesus’ birth – Jesus, God himself, the creator of the universe, the Messiah, became a human being – took on flesh, and was born of a virgin.

2) Jesus’ life – Jesus lived a life of perfect obedience to his Father. Though he was tempted in every way as we are, he never once sinned.

3) Jesus’ death – on the cross, Jesus himself took all our sins and paid for them. God the father counted all our sins to Jesus as if he himself had personally committed them. Then Jesus bore God’s wrath towards sin – the punishment we deserved – as a substitute for us.

4) Jesus’ resurrection – within 3 days, Jesus rose physically from the dead, proving that his sacrifice for sins have been accepted by God, since the punishment for sin was death. Jesus was seen by numerous people after he rose including 500 at one time (1 Corinthians 15).

5) Jesus’ ascension – Jesus ascended physically into heaven where he reigns as King of kings and Lord of lords. And someday he will return to the earth.

That’s the gospel, the good news, and if we believe in Jesus Christ and this good news and call upon him he will save us from our sins and give us eternal life.

That’s a simple way to remember the gospel – five fingers. Even a child can do it. So ask God to give you opportunities to share his good news today.

Ready to start your new life with God?

Who do you think that I am?

With that brief question Jesus Christ confronted His followers with the most important issue they would ever face. He had spent much time with them and made some bold claims about His identity and authority. Now the time had come for them either to believe or deny His teachings.

Who do you say Jesus is? Your response to Him will determine not only your values and lifestyle, but your eternal destiny as well.

Bobbie: If you don’t give money to Hillsong you’re robbing God’s “heart for the earth”

“Hillsong doesn’t force us to give money. We give it freely.’

That is the protest of faithful Hillsong cult apologists and it’s members.

Of course Hillsong members give their money freely. Wouldn’t you give Hillsong your money “freely” if they accused you of robbing God if you withheld your cash?

Hillsong, after the recent A Current Affair report, made the mistake of letting Bobbie Houston do the offering talk. Here is Bobbie talking about why Hillsong members should give:

“… I want to encourage you with your giving this morning, because that’s what it’s about. Malachi 3 says, bring the tithe and offering, bring it into the house of God that there might be food in my house. And in context it’s saying when you withhold or draw back you actually rob God, well we don’t rob God because we can’t rob God, but we rob…

Living Reflectively

School of Christian Thought

“What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?”  (Ps. 8:4)

Anyone who takes the time to think of how much God loves him or her would be amazed by how unfathomable God’s love for him or her is.

Those who live thoughtlessly:  There are people who live thoughtlessly and, therefore, aimlessly.  For them life is a seemingly unending series of trial and errors.  Such people never realize that God is good.  Their lives consist of their making one wrong impulsive decision after another, yet they have the gull to blame God for the consequences of their mistakes.

Those who live in the past:  There are those who live in the past.  Some huge wrong decision in the past had pulled them down and has kept them down, and they never seem to lift up their heads to…

New Creation Church insider speaks out

Insiders of Joseph Prince’s prosperity cult, New Creation Church, are speaking out.

03_Code-Yellow_HAW Prosperity heretics preach the prosperity gospel that teach Jesus is rich; that He died to make people rich; that you must tithe in order to be “blessed to be a blessing”.

In this article, an insider gives us insight to what it requires for someone to be in New Creation Church Leadersip and shares how Joseph Prince has constructed an idolatrous Jesus to make merchandise of people.

I was a former Muslim and became a Christian in 2003 at another church. My wife and I started attending New Creation Church (NCC) in 2005.

When I first attended NCC, I felt welcomed and not judged. It was an overall positive experience with good messages. My first impression of Joseph Prince (JP) was an honest guy speaking his mind. The depth of the messages, initially I thought they were good. JP used loads of Bible…
