Media compare Michael Curry to Rowan Atkinson in “Four Weddings & A Funeral” and Hillsong take it as a compliment?


Along with the rest of the world, many of us watched the live coverage of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. With the rise of liberalism, politically correctness in the Church of England, ‘relevant’ preaching and media hysteria about the wedding breaking traditions, it was not surprising to see a spiritual downgrade on full display at this event.

The wedding service started with an orthodox message of Jesus Christ, the Trinity and the sanctity of marriage between man and woman alongside scripture readings from the Song of Solomon. Although New Testament passages on love such as 1 Corinthians 13 or Ephesians 5 were absent regarding how husband and wife are typologies of Christ and His church, the gospel was present: Christ dying for our sins.

The formal message of Christ and Him crucified came through the traditional marriage service of the Church…
