‘Christianophobia’ poses threat, European Parliament told

People who object to Islamic supremacism have been labeled “Islamophobes,” described by the Oxford Dictionary as having a prejudice against Islam or Muslims, particularly as a political force.

But the real concern, the European Parliament has been told, is “Christianophobia,” a term that has been ignored by many online dictionaries, reports Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

One site, Got Questions, describes it as a “fear of Christians.”

It is the Barnabas Fund, which supports persecuted Christians worldwide, that met with EU officials.

The “historic meeting” happened just days ago and was hosted by Nathan Bill, MEP.

Barnabas warned that “religious freedom is one generation away from being lost in Europe.”

“It’s easy to sit back and ignore the damage because like erosion, it’s not always immediately visible on the surface,” Barnabas Chief Executive Hendrik Storm told the lawmakers.

“But look a little closer and you can begin to see the cracks. You can’t pick and choose which types of freedom you want to defend. Freedom of speech, freedom of the press, academic freedom or freedom of religion. You must defend all of them.

“Those freedoms are only one generation away from being lost.”
