July 14: Surprise Redemption

1 Samuel 24:1–25:44; 1 Peter 1:20–25; Psalm 125:1–127:5

We often fail to be amazed at redemption. Perhaps we’re only dimly aware of our own failings—or (worse) we are blind to how amazing it is that God has shown us grace at all.

In Psalm 126 the psalmist describes the joy that should come as a response to God’s redemption. In the past God’s restorative work had cast Israel into a state of surprised shock—they “were like dreamers” (Psa 126:1). They were filled with laughter and praise. His glory was present, and His redemption was a mighty witness to both the Israelites and the surrounding nations (Psa 126:2).

But the psalmist quickly reveals that Israel is still in need of restoration. Likely taken into captivity, the people live in hope and anticipation that God will restore them once more: “Those who sow with tears shall reap with rejoicing. He who diligently goes out with weeping, carrying the seed bag, shall certainly come in with rejoicing, carrying his sheaves” (Psa 126:5–6).

In his letter to early churches, Peter speaks about the hope that the prophets had foretold and the things that angels were curious about—the grace prepared through His Son (1 Pet 1:10–12). Peter tells them that this savior “was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has been revealed in these last times for you” (1 Pet 1:20).

This surprise redemption is unlike any other. Its hope—Christ’s sure resurrection—gives us incredible security: We have been “born again, not from perishable seed but imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God” (1 Pet 1:23). We should be awed by this incredible hope and respond with obedience, praise, and love for our neighbor (1 Pet 1:22).

Are you awed by God’s grace?

Netanyahu Says More Coming As Israel Unleashes Sustained Barrage On Hamas Militants On The Gaza Strip — Now The End Begins

Israel launched its harshest assault against the Gaza Strip’s Hamas rulers since their 2014 war, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, in waves of airstrikes that drew barrages of Palestinian mortar and rocket fire.

UPDATE: The Hamas terrorist organization announced Saturday that it had agreed to a ceasefire with Israel following talks with Egypt and other international bodies after Palestinians fired more than 100 rockets into Israel over the weekend and Israel carried out dozens of air strikes. “The regional and international mediation has led to an end of the current escalation between the resistance and the occupation forces,” Hamas said. “Facts on the ground will determine our continued response,” a senior Israeli defense official said following the reports.

Two Palestinian teenagers were killed in an Israeli aerial attack, health officials said, and three Israelis were wounded by fire from Gaza that landed in a border town. Israeli and Palestinian media reported efforts by international mediators including Egypt to broker a cease-fire.

Israeli military spokesman Lieutenant Jonathan Conricus said the purpose of Saturday’s operation was to stop arson attacks, attempted border breaches, and assaults on soldiers that have grown increasingly violent.

“We will intensify our attacks as needed,” Netanyahu vowed in a video message.

Volatility along the border has intensified since Gazans launched near-weekly protests against Israel in late March. Almost 140 Palestinians, some of them unarmed, have been killed in the confrontations. Militants have tried repeatedly to break through the security fence along the border, attacked soldiers, and destroyed thousands of acres of farmland and nature reserves in southern Israel with kites and balloons outfitted with firebombs and explosives.

Underground Tunnels

On Saturday, Israeli aircraft pounded dozens of Hamas targets, hitting two underground tunnels militants dug to infiltrate Israel to carry out attacks, and other compounds including a training facility and a site used to prepare kites and balloons for airborne arson attacks, the military said.

The Health Ministry in Gaza said the teenagers, ages 15 and 16, were killed by shrapnel following an Israeli attack on the training facility. Projectiles fell next to a synagogue and in the yard of a home in the Israeli town of Sderot, the Ynet news website reported. One person sustained moderate injuries and two were hurt lightly, Israel’s Magen David Adom rescue service said.

Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said the militants’ swift response to Israeli attacks was meant as a deterrent and “to force the enemy to stop the escalation.” According to the Israeli military, at least 190 mortar shells and rockets were fired at southern Israel from the Palestinian territory on Saturday, and about 37 launches were intercepted by missiles defenses.

The hostilities followed a day of protests in Gaza that included arson attacks and the wounding of an Israeli officer.

Deadly Protests

At the latest protest on Friday, two Palestinians were shot dead — a 15-year-old who tried to breach the border and an 18-year-old who died of his wounds on Saturday. The military said soldiers were attacked during the protests with grenades, explosive devices and rocks. One was moderately injured, it said.

While protest organizers have said the demonstrations that began in late March are meant to be peaceful, Israel says Gaza militants use them as cover to attack. The confrontations since March have been some of the fiercest since Israel and Gaza warred for seven weeks in 2014, the last of their three conflicts. source

Queen of England Serves Sarah Sanders Tea — Something Liberal Red Hen Refused to Do… — The Gateway Pundit

Sarah Huckabee Sanders was fortunate enough to travel with President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to Windsor on Friday to meet the Queen of England.

She was served tea by the Queen and her staff.

Sarah Sanders tweeted about the unforgettable experience on Friday.

And to think it was only three weeks earlier that Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her family were kicked out of the little Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington, Virginia and then stalked by the owneras they went to a nearby restaurant.

BAD NEWS FOR FACEBOOK: 70% of Americans Understand Social Media Giants Censor and Suppress Political Views — The Gateway Pundit

A new Pew Research Center survey found that seven in ten Americans see how social media giants censor and quash political views.

Reuters reported:

The study comes amid an ongoing debate over the power of digital technology companies and the way they do business. Social media companies in particular, including Facebook Inc and Alphabet Inc’s Google, have recently come under scrutiny for failing to promptly tackle the problem of fake news as more Americans consume news on their platforms.

In the study of 4,594 U.S. adults, conducted between May 29 and June 11, roughly 72 percent of the respondents believed that social media platforms actively censored political views those companies found objectionable.

The perception that technology companies were politically biased and suppressed political speech was especially widespread among Republicans, the study showed.

The Gateway Pundit has repeatedly reported on tech giant censorship of conservative content.

The Gateway Pundit (TGP) reached a record number of page views in 2017.

TGP readership hit an all-time high in 2017!

We reached more than 224 million page views in 2017.  This surpassed our previous record from 2016 of 182 million page views.

We thank all our readers for all their support.

This Was Despite Unprecedented Attacks–

On the other hand, 2017 was a very challenging year for TGP.  Facebook and Twitter have often altered their platforms to prevent TGP stories from being shared.  They have employed far left operatives who deem which stories are acceptable and others they kill off before they go viral.

Stories like ‘Hillary is going to win in a landslide’, ‘Hillary is not sick’ or ‘Trump colluded with Russia’ are considered accurate news reports.

These powerful tech firms act as gatekeepers and prevent conservative content from being shared online.

In 2016 we were one of the few conservative sites that supported candidate Trump – along with Breitbart, The Drudge Report, Infowars, Zero Hedge and Conservative Treehouse.  We are proud of our efforts to report the truth that led to Trump’s historic win.

In 2017 Harvard and Columbia Journalism Review found that The Gateway Pundit was the 4th most influential conservative news source in the 2016 election.

Because of this we were targeted and have seen our numbers related to Facebook and Twitter decline dramatically.

In every single Facebook category our numbers are down. In page visits our numbers were skyrocketing before the election. Then in three distinct periods our numbers were cut off.

This had nothing to do with the quality of our posts as we have proof that ourgeneric numbers are up and and continue to increase.

In all statistical categories provided to us by Facebook our current numbers are below linear projections of where we should be.

In February Facebook launched another algorithm change to their platform. With the changes we saw our traffic dwindle even further.

We weren’t the only ones to be affected. The algorithmic change caused President Donald Trump’s engagement on Facebook posts to plummet a whopping 45%.

In contrast, according to Breitbart’sAllum Bokhari, Senators Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Bernie Sanders (I-VT) do not appear to have suffered a comparable decline in Facebook engagement.

This is a criminal act. Facebook took our money for advertising and promised a fair playing field. Facebook lied to us and every conservative group in America.

Today Facebook shut down all of our stories. Facebook does not like our politics. We have 634,000 Gateway Pundit Facebook fans. We are getting no traffic from Facebook.

Facebook is doing this to a number of top conservative sites we are in contact with.

July 14 Elect in Christ

“You are a chosen race” (1 Peter 2:9).

Election is the spiritual privilege from which all others flow.

Unlike those who are destined to destruction because of their rejection of Christ (1 Peter 2:8), Christians are an elect race of people, bound together by God’s redeeming grace. That’s cause for great celebration!

First Peter 2:9 is an allusion to Deuteronomy 7:6–9, which says, “You are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but because the Lord loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, the Lord brought you out by a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God.”

Like Israel, the church is the redeemed community of God, “chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit” (1 Peter 1:1–2). Before the foundation of the world, God placed His love on you, then brought you into His Kingdom by granting you saving grace. That’s the doctrine of election.

Many people misunderstand election, but it’s a wonderful doctrine that brings marvelous benefits. It exalts God by demonstrating His love and grace toward miserable sinners. It eliminates pride by affirming that you are totally dependent on God’s grace. It should promote such gratitude in your heart that you long to live in holiness and serve Him at any price. It should also give you joy and strength, knowing that God will never let you go and His purposes will be accomplished in you. You can face any challenge with utmost confidence in His provisions.

Rejoice in your election. Worship God, and yield to His Spirit’s leading, so His choice of you will be evident to all who know you.

Suggestions for Prayer:  What has the spiritual privilege of being chosen by God meant in your life? Express your answer to God in prayer, thanking Him for His wondrous grace.

Israel Ranks 8th Most Powerful Nation in the World — Charisma News

“For its relatively small size, the country has played a large role in global affairs.”

A prestigious USA-based magazine said that Israel is the eighth most powerful nation in the world, ahead of international heavyweights such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Canada, and Singapore.

“Israel, the only Jewish nation in the world, is a small country on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea. For its relatively small size, the country has played a large role in global affairs. The country has a strong economy and landmarks of significance to several religions,” wrote the U.S. News and World Report‘s annual ranking of ‘Best Countries’. “Israel has a technologically advanced market economy with cut diamonds, high-technology equipment and pharmaceuticals among its major exports. The country is very highly developed in terms of life expectancy, education, per capita income and other human development index indicators.”

Following Israel was Saudi Arabia, the UAE and South Korea. Topping the list were the United States, Russia and China, according to Arutz-7.

Chiefly them that walk after the flesh…and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled.

2 Peter 2:10

Throughout history, the philosophers have pretty well agreed on the conclusion that selfish personal interest is the motive behind all human conduct.

The philosopher Epictetus illustrated his understanding with the fact that two dogs may romp on the lawn with every appearance of friendship until someone tosses a piece of raw meat between them. Instantly, their play turns into savage fight as each struggles to get the meat for himself. Let us not condemn the old thinker for comparing the conduct of men to animals. The Bible frequently does, and humbling as it may be to us, we humans often look bad by comparison.

If we would be wise in the wisdom of God, we must face up to the truth that men and women are not basically good: They are basically evil, and the essence of sin lies in their selfishness! Putting our own interests before the glory of God is sin in its Godward aspects, and the putting of our own interests before those of our fellow man is sin as it relates to society. By the cross, Jesus Christ demonstrated pure, selfless love in its fullest perfection. When He died, He set a crown of beauty upon a God-centered and an others-centered life!

Lord, as I begin this day, I pray that in every situation I will put the interests of others before my own.[1]

Gay pride, feminism, anything but Christianity – the lessons forced on our children | The Conservative Woman

by David Kurten, The Conservative Woman:

As Christianity is deliberately marginalised from national life, the powers that be have created a whole host of celebrations to fill the void left by the absence of the acknowledgement of God. These centre around equality, diversity and inclusion. Instead of Christmas, Easter, Whitsun, Michaelmas and numerous other saints’ days, we now have ‘Winterval’ and multiple opportunities to celebrate groups with protected characteristics as defined by the Equality Act 2010.

Therefore, October is Black History month, February is LGBT History month, March is Women’s History month, April 22 is Earth Day and June is LGBT Pride month. This is topped off with School Diversity Week in the first week of July, which is timed to coincide with Gay Pride weekend. School Diversity Week promotes not just LGBT issues, but also multiculturalism, mass immigration and fourth-wave feminism – the kind of feminism which is about destroying the patriarchy rather than equal opportunities. It is so diverse and inclusive that the only thing you are not allowed to celebrate is anything traditional Christian or conservative, as that would be bigoted and xenophobic – the sins of the new liberal order.

Dem Rep Lieu: Russia Indictments ‘Intentionally Done Today,’ As ‘Poke in the Eye’ to Trump | Breitbart

On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “All In,” Representative Ted Lieu (D-CA) stated he believes the announcement of the indictment of 12 Russian officers for election hacking was “intentionally done today” as a “poke in the eye” to the president, and the DOJ is “telling the American people and the whole world that Vladimir Putin is not our friend and that Russia is our adversary.” Lieu said, “I want to talk about the timing of this announcement. There is no reason Rod Rosenstein had to do this today. He could have waited two weeks. I think what really was happening is the United States Department of Justice telling the American people and the whole world that Vladimir Putin is not our friend and that Russia is our adversary. This was a complete poke in the eye to the president of the United States, and I think it was intentionally done today, and I think it’s the entire Justice Department trying to send a message, not just to the president, but to the American people.” Follow Ian Hanchett on Twitter @IanHanchett

Rosenstein not smiling anymore after House Republican’s spotted with his impeachment docs Conservative News Today

Two House Republicans are seeking to file impeachment documents against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein as early as Monday, according to Capitol Hill sources who spoke with Politico.

Reps. Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows, both members of the House Freedom Caucus, take issue with both the deputy attorney general’s poor handling of the Russia investigation and his lack of transparency.

Rosenstein, who oversees special counsel Robert Mueller’s scandal-plagued probe into alleged Russian collusion and was the official who named the FBI veteran to lead the probe last year, has repeatedly stonewalled requests from congressional Republicans for access to documents pertaining to the investigation.

Rosenstein has also made brazen attempts to protect FBI agent Peter Strzok, a former Mueller team member who’s been outed as a virulently anti-Trump zealot.

The attorney AG was grilled by Jordan during a heated congressional hearing held late last month.

Politico’s sources confirmed that Meadows was seen on the House floor with Rosenstein’s impeachment documents Friday afternoon at the same time that the deputy attorney general was announcing new indictments in Mueller’s case.

“It has not been filed today,” Meadows spokesman said to Politico, though he reportedly didn’t rule out the possibility of the documents being filed as early as new week.

Even Rosenstein’s announcement of indictments against 12 Russian operatives was seen as sketchy by some, given as its timing coincided with President Donald Trump’s historic meeting with Queen Elizabeth.

Listen to some of Rosenstein’s announcement below:

What remains unclear is how much support — if any — Meadows and Jordan will be able to muster from House Speaker Paul Ryan.

The speaker has been unwilling thus far to criticize Rosenstein, though he did reportedly back a House measure last month that condemned the attorney AG for his stonewalling and demanded he release certain FBI documents by early July.

It’s for certain that the House Freedom members won’t enjoy any support from Democrats, who have insisted that their attempts to hold Rosenstein, Muller and Strzok accountable are in reality an attempt to distract from the special counsel’s investigation.

It should be noted that though the investigation was launched to root out collusion between the president’s 2016 election campaign and Russian operatives, it’s found nothing substantive.

This hasn’t stopped Democrats from peddling outrageous and patently false conspiracy theories to their eager base, whose hatred for the president seems to run deeper than the Grand Canyon.

WATCH: Urban Ministries Hosts Panel Discussion On Millennials, Faith, and the Future of the Black Church | BCNN1 – Black Christian News Network

Three of the panelists: Brianna Parker, Reginald Wayne Sharpe, Jr., and Gabby Cudjoe Wilkes

At this year’s Hampton University Ministers Conference, Urban Ministries Inc. hosted a panel discussion on millennials, faith, and the future of the black church. Watch parts 1 (partial) and 2 of the discussion below, and read the transcript.

The panelists were: Christian Brown, Rev. Brianna Parker, Rev. Reginald Wayne Sharpe, Jr., Gabby Cudjoe Wilkes, and Allen Reynolds. Find out more about them here.

Allen:  With everything going on our country, a lot of churches are experiencing low attendance in general, and millennials, in particular, being absent in their churches. And a lot of people are wondering why you think that might be? Why is it we aren’t  seeing our generation in church as much, or as much as people might desire, and what are some ways that we might think about meeting that chronic crisis, right now, in black church communities. That low attendance of millennials and how might we invite, or engage, millennials with that reality?

Brianna:  So, I could tell you from my research that three things black millennials are concerned with the church: Family dynamics, outreach, and social justice. And if you think about churches, there are a lot of churches that don’t include those, right? Family dynamics means not just classes, right, but actually to see what it means to have a healthy family as millennials because many of the people in our generation didn’t get to see it. And so I’m not surprised that you have Reggie and Bree, who have an influx of millennials because they actually get to watch it in action, right? They get to believe in something that they may have never seen.

Brianna:  Another thing is outreach. If you remember, maybe a couple decades ago, everyone was building fellowship halls, right? And gyms. And they were promising that the kids were gonna come from impoverished neighborhoods and have a place to play, and they were gonna do homework, and then if you think it through, that really never happened, and fellowship halls and gyms and all those things that we’ve paid big money to build, were actually not being used. And so it was almost like your grandmother’s furniture when you put the plastic on it, right? And nobody can really go in there, but it just looks good? And so it was that kind of situation, but by the time it was time to go back and use it, it had already dry rot. And that’s what’s happening a lot of times with the buildings that were built a couple decades ago, and so millennials are not gonna continue to put money into an edifice, you know, that no one’s gonna be able to use.

Brianna:  So when I asked in my research, “What’s a cause worth giving?” The answer was, “A cause that gave.” And so outreach was really important and black millennials are not seeing that you’re willing to go outside the walls of your church, and you’re willing to not treat people like a notch on your belt, then that doesn’t look like outreach or something you wanna participate in, or sow into.

Brianna: And then justice. I know the Methodist church came out with this article that said millennials didn’t like politics mixing in their pulpit. That’s white millennials, that’s not black millennials, and so it was very important for black millennials to know that justice was gonna be important in the church. Because we can’t divorce real life, so we went through this point where everybody was like, “You gotta wake up, you’re not equal,” you know, that’s what our parents were telling us, insert Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin, they were like, “oh let’s go burn the whole country down,” right? So they went from telling us to wake up, to slow down, take a nap, and we’re like what do we do? ‘Cause we wanna burn everything down, you know, because now we get it, and so really just finding that middle ground, what does it mean? I mean, we have different gifts that can benefit the movement in ways that we didn’t have before, like technology, right? So when you see something that says, “Not your grandmother’s movement,” on the one hand it can look disrespectful, right? Because we know that there’s so much to build upon. It’s not your grandmother’s movement, ’cause we have so much technology! But it is your grandmother’s movement because we wouldn’t have a movement without them.

Brianna:  So, social justice, family dynamics, and outreach are important. The things that were not as important are the things that we’re majoring in most times in church.

Gabby:  I wanted to echo something that Brianna mentioned about white millennials and not black millennials, and I dealt with this and actually before Brianna and I had a friendship, I knew her research because I was being asked to provide data to my congregation about millennials. And so I did what I was asked, but all of the resources given and that I could find were about white, middle America millennials, which are not the same thing as African Americans between the ages of 21 to 35, and even the years that we give for millennials, some start at 1980, some start later. But, what I will say is it’s really important contextually if you are serving black and brown people, to find black and brown research. And it might be somebody who hasn’t finished their doctorate yet but they’re doing the work. It might be Brianna Parker, it might be Josh, it might be some of us, but you’ve gotta find people who know your context, and obviously, that is one of the biggest reasons why millennials are stopping coming inside of the doors of these churches, it’s because we’re doing … I was gonna say in blackface, but I’m … You know.

Brianna:  No, that’s true.

Gabby:  We are black ministers, but we’re using white tools. And I just graduated from Yale Divinity, so I get that we get our tools from where we get them from, but we’ve got to contextualize them for our people. And what you’re seeing is a more educated group of folks … And I’m not saying educated by degrees, I’m saying by Google, by social experience, by what we have processed, you’re seeing millennials who are like, “I may not know what you should be teaching me or preaching to me, but I do know this doesn’t feel like my context.” And so you’re not gonna keep people in the church by trying to make them assimilate into a way of thinking that is not their own. You’ve gotta do the work that matches the context that we minister in.

Allen: Is the technology, whether that’s social media … the information age with our ability to search and research anything at a moment’s notice, is that helpful or hurtful? What are some ways we can think about that?

Gabby: I think technology is helpful, let me just start there. I think it’s very, very helpful but I think it goes back to us as the Black Church having to ask ourselves, are we offering something that people need to actually physically be here to access? Or, are we just creating these spaces where whether you’re here or not, you feel the same way?

I liken it to … my background is in music … so, I liken it to around 2007, 2008, when the music industry was going crazy because people were no longer buying CDs and people were starting to stream. The same conversation happened, which was how are record labels going to survive? How are artists going to survive? If they’re not buying the music, people must no longer want to invest in music. But what was shifting was people didn’t want to pay for that content. What sustained the music industry was touring. So, at the same time, when folks were streaming and not buying music, ticket sales to concerts and experiences were through the roof.

I liken that to the church. We have to create a space where, yeah, I can stream it, but I want to be there. I want to catch the energy. I want to have the conversations afterward. I want to have that community. What we’re finding is a lot of times in these megachurch spaces we’re losing that. Where people come and they go and so what’s the difference between sitting here or sitting in my bed? If there’s something else … if there’s something human and if I’m seeing … if I’m communicated with … if I can have a touchpoint that’s different in the same way that touring sustained the music industry. People will watch a concert, but that will prompt them to buy tickets and be there themselves. I think we have to figure out, as the church, what can we offer that makes people want to connect with us directly in addition to just hearing and receiving The Word digitally?

Kim DotCom: I Was Warned Not to Turn Over Seth Rich Evidence to Mueller — The Gateway Pundit

In late May 2017 internet entrepreneur Kim DotCom claimed to have evidence that former DNC worker Seth Rich was involved in the leaked emails released by WikiLeaks.

Kim DotCom shared that he was willing to come to the US and give testimony if it is required.

Then Kim DotCom’s lawyers sent a letter to Robert Muellersaying he would come testify in the US and would provide evidence to the Investigation.

Kim DotCom later said trusting Mueller was a mistake and that the special counsel was out to destroy President Trump.

On Friday Kim DotCom responded to the latest Mueller indictments of another 12 Russian operatives.

Kim DotCom says the the evidence in the indictment doesn’t survive a giggle test. Kim DotCom added today’s indictment confirmed that Mueller cannot be trusted.

Peter Strzok Reveals FBI Debated Russia Collusion Probe Based on Trump’s Poll Numbers | Breitbart

NEW YORK — In statements largely unreported by the news media, FBI official Peter Strzok described an alleged debate that took place within the FBI about how aggressively to pursue the Russia collusion investigation based on Donald Trump’s poll numbers in the 2016 presidential election.

Surprise!? Two Big “Russia! Russia! Russia!” Stories Released Days Before Trump-Putin Summit | Zero Hedge

“…cold wars place more emphasis on psyops and mass media propaganda than in a conventional hot war. Remain skeptical of everything you hear about Russia at all times, because I will say it again: it is the US intelligence community’s job to lie to you.”

Authored by Caitlin Johnstone via Medium.com,

I have said it before, and I will say it again, and I will keep saying it and saying it until it becomes mainstream conventional wisdom: it is the US intelligence community’s job to lie to you.

In an article for The Nation dated July 11, the internationally renowned US-Russia relations expert Stephen F. Cohen warned of possible attempts by peace-hating beltway stalwarts to sabotage the Helsinki peace talks between Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin that is scheduled for this coming Monday.

“There is a long history of sabotaging or attempting to sabotage summits and other détente-like initiatives,” wrote Cohen. “Indeed, a few such attempts have been evident in recent months and more may lie ahead.”

And, lo and behold, right before the summit we are seeing two major news stories loudly promoting Russia hysteria blasted onto the front pages on the very same day.

An indictment of 12 Russians has finally been issued by the Robert Mueller Special Counsel on various charges of conspiracy against the United States, an action the counsel has been sitting on for months. The indictment contains no evidence and will likely never be defended in any court of law, the correct response to which, in a post-Iraq invasion world, is always to dismiss the story and file it under “Noises US government officials sometimes make with their face holes.”

The complete absence of evidence has of course failed to deter establishment propagandists and Capitol Hill war whores from loudly and aggressively advancing the galaxy-brained narrative that these new claims ought to either cancel peace talks between two nuclear superpowers, or at least make them much more hostile and contentious.

“President Trump must be willing to confront Putin from a position of strength and demonstrate that there will be a serious price to pay for his ongoing aggression towards the United States and democracies around the world,” said Senator John McCain in a statement, more determined than ever to start World War Three before he finally fucking dies. “If President Trump is not prepared to hold Putin accountable, the summit in Helsinki should not move forward.”

“POTUS should either publicly demand extradition of these 12 Russian officials to stand trial or call off his summit,” tweeted Congressman Joe Kennedy III. “@realDonaldTrump should not lend legitimacy to an adversary that attacks our democracy.”

“There are now criminal indictments confirming #RussianHacking and efforts to disrupt the ballot box,” tweeted virulent Russiagater and California Representative Eric Swalwell. “If @realDonaldTrump is unwilling to confront Putin over this on Monday, he should cancel his trip.”

These and many other pleas against peace have been emanating at maximum volume from both sides of the political aisle in DC, and by both sides of the political divide in the mass media as well. Fox News has been just as busypromoting the hawkish demands of neoconservative Republicans like McCain and Lindsey Graham as outlets like MSNBC and the Washington Post have been promoting the same demands from Democrats. As we learned in the lead up to the Iraq invasion, whenever you see all mass media outlets converge upon a single narrative, it’s time to crank your skepticism levels up to eleven.

Whenever you see Fox News joining in with Dem-aligned media to promote the same foreign policy narrative, it’s time to to kick your skepticism levels into high gear. pic.twitter.com/Pw2n3PAgBx

On the same day as all this drama erupted, Dan Coats (who replaced the lying, Russophobic Russiagate architect James Clapper as America’s top intelligence officer at the beginning of this administration) has declared that the warning signs of future Russian cyberattacks are akin to the warnings received prior to the September 11 attacks. Because if history has taught us anything, it’s that there’s absolutely nothing to worry about when US government officials start invoking 9/11 to warn us about a nation that had nothing to do with it.

The always sleazy New York Times reports the following:

The nation’s top intelligence officer said on Friday that the persistent danger of Russian cyberattacks today was akin to the warnings the United States had of stepped-up terror threats ahead of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

That note of alarm sounded by Dan Coats, the director of national intelligence, came on the same day that 12 Russian agents were indicted on charges of hacking the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Mr. Coats said those indictments illustrated Moscow’s continuing strategy to undermine the United States’ democracy and erode its institutions.

“The warning lights are blinking red again,” Mr. Coats said as he cautioned of cyberthreats. “Today, the digital infrastructure that serves this country is literally under attack.”

Coming just days ahead of President Trump’s meeting with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, Mr. Coats’s comments demonstrate the persistent divisions within the administration on Russia — and on how hard a line senior administration officials should take with Moscow on its cyberspace activities.

Ken Dilanian is an actual, literal CIA asset who maintains a prestigious career in mainstream news media despite this known fact. These are the types who are pushing “Russia! Russia!” narratives. https://t.co/9e7B7rstSz https://t.co/ZV7te6wqhV

So once again Trump is being pressured by all his political enemies, and even his ostensible allies in conservative media, to escalate tensions with Russia in a way that just so happens to advance intelligence community agendas against that nation which have been in place since the fall of the Soviet Union. And all of the evidence being used to substantiate the claims used to create that pressure? Why, they just so happen to come from that same intelligence community.

Stephen Cohen isn’t psychic, he’s just been watching trends and behavioral patterns in US-Russia relations for decades, and noticing the headlines in plutocrat-owned media about the approaching peace talks. These headlines include this one from London’s The Times, which I swear I am not making up: “Fears grow over prospect of Trump ‘peace deal’ with Putin”. That header gets better every time you read it; eventually you’re just flipping back and forth between the words “fear” and “peace” and marveling at your skull’s remarkable ability to keep your head from exploding. Other brilliant headlines include “In Meeting With Putin, Experts Fear Trump Will Give More Than He Gets” by the New York Times, “Trump hopes he and Putin will get along. Russia experts worry they will” by the Washington Post, and “Trump Will Finally Meet With Putin Next Month. That Should Terrify You” by Mother Jones.

Just serious people pushing for NATO war against Russia. Nothing to see here. https://t.co/EBy6d1O6ZV

This notion that we should all be worried, terrified and literally shaking that two nuclear superpowers might ease tensions between one another is so Rick and Morty alternate dimension bass ackwards it’s amazing that it’s been able to stick to the extent that it has, but that just shows you the power of mass media propaganda. The social engineers are so adept that self-identified progressives can be made to cheer for the FBI, self-identified nationalists can be made to cheer for neoconservative regime change agendas against Iran, and self-identified liberals can literally be made to fear a movement away from the possibility of nuclear holocaust.

Since cold wars per definition depend on non-military maneuverings, a much greater emphasis is necessarily placed on psyops and mass media propaganda than in a conventional hot war. Remain skeptical of everything you hear about Russia at all times, because I will say it again: it is the US intelligence community’s job to lie to you.

Majority Of Clinton Emails Funneled To “Foreign Entity”; When IG Told Strzok – He Completely Ignored | Zero Hedge

As we sift through the ashes of Thursday’s dumpster-fire Congressional hearing with still employed FBI agent Peter Strzok, Luke Rosiak of the Daily Caller plucked out a key exchange between Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Tx) and Strzok which revealed a yet-unknown bombshell about the Clinton email case.

Nearly all of Hillary Clinton’s emails on her homebrew server went to a foreign entity that isn’t Russia. When this was discovered by the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG), IG Chuck McCullough sent his investigator Frank Ruckner and an attorney to notify Strzok along with three other people about the “anomaly.”

Four separate attempts were also made to notify DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz to brief him on the massive security breach, however Horowitz “never returned the call.” Recall that Horowitz concluded last month that despite Strzok’s extreme bias towards Hillary Clinton and against Donald Trump – none of it translated to Strzok’s work at the FBI.

In other words; Strzok, while investigating Clinton’s email server, completely ignored the fact that most of Clinton’s emails were sent to a foreign entity – while IG Horowitz simply didn’t want to know about it.

The Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) found an “anomaly on Hillary Clinton’s emails going through their private server, and when they had done the forensic analysis, they found that her emails, every single one except four, over 30,000, were going to an address that was not on the distribution list,” Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas said during a hearing with FBI official Peter Strzok. –Daily Caller

Gohmert continued; “It was going to an unauthorized source that was a foreign entity unrelated to Russia.”

Strzok admitted to meeting with Ruckner but said he couldn’t remember the “specific” content of their discussion.

“The forensic examination was done by the ICIG and they can document that,” Gohmert said, “but you were given that information and you did nothing with it.”

Meanwhile, “Mr. Horowitz got a call four times from someone wanting to brief him about this, and he never returned the call,” Gohmert said – and Horowitz wouldn’t return the call.

And while Peter Strzok couldn’t remember the specifics of his meeting with the IG about the giant “foreign entity” bombshell, he texted this to his mistress Lisa Page when the IG discovered the “(C)” classification on several of Clinton’s emails – something the FBI overlooked:

“Holy cow … if the FBI missed this, what else was missed? … Remind me to tell you to flag for Andy [redacted] emails we (actually ICIG) found that have portion marks (C) on a couple of paras. DoJ was Very Concerned about this.”

Internal Pushback

In November of 2017, IG McCullough – an Obama appointee – revealed to Fox News that he received pushback when he tried to tell former DNI James Clapper about the foreign entity which had Clinton’s emails and other anomalies.

Instead of being embraced for trying to expose an illegal act, seven senators including Dianne Feinstein (D-Ca) wrote a letter acusing him of politicizing the issue.

McCullough on @HillaryClinton emails: “Even if the information isn’t marked properly when it’s disseminated, it’s still classified.” #Tucker pic.twitter.com/b3E7qH0zvz

— Fox News (@FoxNews) November 29, 2017

“It’s absolutely irrelevant whether something is marked classified, it is the character of the information,” he said.

McCullough said that from that point forward, he received only criticism and an “adversarial posture” from Congress when he tried to rectify the situation.

“I expected to be embraced and protected,” he said, adding that a Hill staffer “chided” him for failing to consider the “political consequences” of the information he was blowing the whistle on. –Fox News

That other Clinton whistleblower…

Meanwhile, a mostly overlooked facet of the Clinton email investigation was unearthed from the official “FBI Vault” by Twitter researcher Katica (@GOPPollAnalyst) in November and updated on July 10 which somehow never made it into the Inspector General’s report on the FBI’s handling of the Clinton email investigation.

In January, 2016 a former State department official walked into the FBI with what they felt was smoking gun evidence in the Clinton email investigation which was so sensitive he wouldn’t talk about it unless it was in a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility).

Former DoS guy walks into the FBI & asks if they got his package. Wants to be sure the task force for HRCs case gets the evidence. Says he can’t talk about the content but will in a SCIF. 🤔🤨 No idea who he is. Part 6; pgs 11-12.

UPDATE: HIS LETTER 👉 https://t.co/ntwUYSwsIq pic.twitter.com/yuWe0qpaf4

— Katica (@GOPPollAnalyst) July 10, 2018

Accompanying the evidence, the whistleblower wrote a letter to former FBI Director James Comey describing Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of clearly marked classified material. Comey ignored it – which led the whistleblower to file a complaint that Peter Strzok and FBI agent Jonathan Moffa were CC’d on.

Random: This FBI entry has always intrigued me. Former SoS guy just walks into the FBI & asks if they got his package. Wants to be sure the task force for HRCs case gets the evidence. Says he can’t talk about the content. 🤔🤨 No idea who he is.

Part 6; pgs 11-12 pic.twitter.com/rEsV7LgA4T

— Katica (@GOPPollAnalyst) November 20, 2017

Some highlights from his letter to Comey:

• “The evidence I am providing, along with what you have already acquired, should lead to convictions for the many people involved.”

• “America needs its Attorney General to show us that no employee of the United States Government is above its system of law and justice.”

• “Since I am avoiding any classified information in this statement, I will not expand on this issue further in this letter. I am prepared to discuss this issue in much greater depth in a properly secured location and with those agents having certain TS/SCI clearances and an FBI letter showing need to know.”

The whistleblower describes how there’s no way Clinton couldn’t have known certain emails were marked “classified.”

“During the time that Hillary Rodham Clinton served as Secretary of State, the Department of State (DOS) produced a daily document classified at the Secret level…

…Each of these daily classified documents began each paragraph with the actual classification of the information contained in the paragraph…

…An investigation that compares the emails found on the private server or emails used by the Secretary will show the actual classification any text which appears to be both in the Hillary emails and in the daily classified document produced by her official office…

“Upon learning of this situation and listening to her saying that the information in these emails were not classified at the time they were written, I make reference to the above paragraph about the daily classified document summarizing issues presented to her on a daily basis.”

The Whistleblower also goes on to explain that he couldn’t find a sensitive communiqué between Clinton and the American Ambassador in Honduras on the internal State Department archive, and suspected that it was due to being sent over her private email server.

FBI Vault, Part 23; pages 121-132 – Here are two pages of the letter, but read the whole thing though.

— Katica (@GOPPollAnalyst) July 8, 2018

To review;

• Strzok knew that most of Hillary Clinton’s emails were in the hands of a foreign entity

• He also knew that a whistleblower from the State Department tried delivering significant evidence in the Clinton email investigation which went nowhere

• The FBI, and Comey in particular, ignored this whistleblower’s evidence

So given that we now have at least two major bombshells that the FBI sat on, we revisit the case of CIA whistleblower Dennis Montgomery – who similarly walked into the Washington D.C. FBI field office in 2015 with 47 hard drives and 600 million pages of information he says proves that President Trump and others were victims of mass surveillance, according to NewsMax.

Under grants of immunity, which I obtained through Assistant U.S. Attorney Deborah Curtis, Montgomery produced the hard drives and later was interviewed under oath in a secure room at the FBI Field Office in the District of Columbia. There he laid out how persons like then-businessman Donald Trump were illegally spied upon by Clapper, Brennan, and the spy agencies of the Obama administration.

Montgomery left the NSA and CIA with 47 hard drives and over 600 million pages of information, much of which is classified, and sought to come forward legally as a whistleblower to appropriate government entities, including congressional intelligence committees, to expose that the spy agencies were engaged for years in systematic illegal surveillance on prominent Americans, including the chief justice of the Supreme Court, other justices, 156 judges, prominent businessmen such as Donald Trump, and even yours truly. Working side by side with Obama’s former Director of National Intelligence (DIA), James Clapper, and Obama’s former Director of the CIA, John Brennan, Montgomery witnessed “up close and personal” this “Orwellian Big Brother” intrusion on privacy, likely for potential coercion, blackmail or other nefarious purposes.

He even claimed that these spy agencies had manipulated voting in Florida during the 2008 presidential election, which illegal tampering resulted in helping Obama to win the White House. –NewsMax

In March of 2017, Montgomery and his attorney Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch traveled to D.C. to meet with House Judiciary Committee Chairman Devin Nunes in the hopes that he would ask Comey about the evidence – only to be “blown off” by the Chairman.

It seems like we have some serious issues to revisit as a country.

Trump Responds To Russia Indictment: “Where Is The DNC Server? Why Didn’t Obama Do Something?” | Zero Hedge

“Where is the DNC Server, and why didn’t the FBI take possession of it? Deep State?”

President Trump issued his first public comment about the indictment of 12 Russian military officers “for conspiring to interfere with the 2016 presidential election” by blaming former President Obama and the “deep state” and asking, as many others have, where the DNC server, the so-called “Exhibit A” in the case against the Russian hackers, is currently.

On Saturday morning, Trump tweeted from Scotland that “The stories you heard about the 12 Russians yesterday took place during the Obama Administration, not the Trump Administration” and asked “why didn’t they do something about it, especially when it was reported that President Obama was informed by the FBI in September, before the Election?” As one of his last acts as president, late in December 2016 and over a month after Trump had won the election, Obama issued sanctions against Russia for the meddling. He also expelled 35 Russian diplomats from the U.S. and ordered two Russian compounds to be closed.

The stories you heard about the 12 Russians yesterday took place during the Obama Administration, not the Trump Administration. Why didn’t they do something about it, especially when it was reported that President Obama was informed by the FBI in September, before the Election?

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 14, 2018

On Friday afternoon, the DOJ announced the indictment of 12 Russian intel officials who are charged with hacking Democratic National Committee officials and dispersing the stolen documents online. However, as explicitly stated in the indictment, there was “no indication that any American was a knowing participant in this activity, and no indication that these efforts altered the vote count in any way”, something Trump has repeatedly noted.

Trump then went on to question “where is the DNC Server, and why didn’t the FBI take possession of it?” He suggested that the server could have been kept hidden by the “Deep State.”

….Where is the DNC Server, and why didn’t the FBI take possession of it? Deep State?

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 14, 2018

Trump has suggested in the past a conspiracy around the computer servers at the DNC that Russians hacked during the election. The FBI had not directly assessed the hacked server during the agency investigation, instead relying on information from a private security firm, with deep Ukrainian ties.

Separately, as part of his Saturday tweetstorm, Trump again attacked “the Fake News CNN” saying that he checked it “first time in a long time (they are dying in the ratings), to see if they covered my takedown yesterday of Jim Acosta (actually a nice guy). They didn’t! But they did say I already lost in my meeting with Putin. Fake News….”

So funny! I just checked out Fake News CNN, for the first time in a long time (they are dying in the ratings), to see if they covered my takedown yesterday of Jim Acosta (actually a nice guy). They didn’t! But they did say I already lost in my meeting with Putin. Fake News……

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 14, 2018

He then unveiled his latest nickname, that of CNN president Jeff Zucker, saying “Remember, it was Little Jeff Z and his people, who are told exactly what to say, who said I could not win the election in that “there was no way to 270” (over & over again) in the Electoral College. I got 306! They were sooooo wrong in their election coverage. Still hurting!”

….Remember, it was Little Jeff Z and his people, who are told exactly what to say, who said I could not win the election in that “there was no way to 270” (over & over again) in the Electoral College. I got 306! They were sooooo wrong in their election coverage. Still hurting!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 14, 2018

Finally, in his first tweet about about the market in a long time, Trump once again took credit for the Dow hitting 25,000, as well as the current state of the fiscal-stimulus fueled economy, saying “Jobs are at an all time record – and that is before we fix some of the worst trade deals and conditions ever seen by any government. It is all happening!”

The Stock Market hit 25,000 yesterday. Jobs are at an all time record – and that is before we fix some of the worst trade deals and conditions ever seen by any government. It is all happening!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 14, 2018

As discussed previously, Trump’s market assessment remain a concern to some, because the higher the stock market goes, the more likely the president is to equate this with investor perceptions of his trade policy. As a result, it affords Trump leeway to unleash even harsher tariffs on China, something he has kept silent about in the past 4 days, enabling the latest market surge.
