More income inequality? You can thank the Federal Reserve, and Richard Nixon – AC2 News

“…half of all American households have less wealth today in real terms than the median household had in 1970.”

Nixon did two particularly horrible things (aside from Watergate of course). He ended the gold backed dollar completely and he initiated the war on drugs in earnest. Both actions have hurt the working and middle classes particularly.

How the drug war has hurt communities is now obvious. The ending of the gold standard completely and the ensuing near total financialization of the US economy is less obvious to most.

When Nixon severed the gold tie he disconnected the dollar from reality. As such the real economy and the financialized economy parted ways. Those who were in the financialized club, the well to do, saw strong paper gains in relative terms. The “real economy” people saw far fewer gains in the post Nixon years.

(From Mises)

As new money enters the economy, it benefits some people — usually high-income people — more than others. The new money does not enter the economy evenly and equally for everyone, but benefits certain politically-connected firms, institutions, and persons first.

This is why we call the Federal Reserve the prime mover of crony capitalism.

Sharing the Message of Christ This Halloween — Around the World with Ken Ham

It’s that time of year again. Halloween decorations are popping up in stores and front yards across the country in preparation for the end of the month festivities. This time last year I wrote a blog post encouraging believers to use this opportunity to share the gospel with kids and families who come knocking. And almost immediately I received a backlash from secularists (and even some Christians) who mocked me or were angry about this idea.

These other bloggers and writers complained that I was ruining Halloween or that I was telling people to use scare tactics (actually, many Halloween costumes can be quite scary) on the kids coming to their door. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth. I encouraged people to consider handing out gospel booklets (such as our “A Biblical and Historical Look at Halloween”) along with candy or some other kind of treat. These booklets aren’t scary—they simply teach the interesting history of Halloween and share the message of Jesus’ death and resurrection on our behalf. I find it ironic that people were accusing me of trying to scare kids when Halloween is all about scary and spooky things!

Halloween Learn & Share Kit

You can get everything you need to share the gospel this Halloween from our online store in our “Halloween Learn & Share Kit.”

So, despite the backlash, I want to encourage believers again this year to use this day as an opportunity to share the gospel with kids and their families. You can get everything you need to share the gospel this Halloween from our online store in our “Halloween Learn & Share Kit.” We’ve also added some more fun, entertaining and informative tracts to share throughout the year.

And if you would like to learn more about the fascinating history of Halloween—and it’s connection with the Tower of Babel—I encourage you to watch AiG’s Bodie Hodge’s DVD presentation Halloween, Paganism, and the Bible. This DVD is available from our online store, and it’s also recently been added to our Answers in Genesis channel on PureFlix.com.

PureFlix.com is a Christian-based video streaming site (think Netflix or Hulu, but with family-friendly content!), and in our new agreement with them, all of our video content will eventually be available to PureFlix.com subscribers at no additional cost. The number of videos is quickly growing, and I encourage all of our supporters to consider subscribing to PureFlix.com to enjoy the large (and growing!) amount of Answers in Genesis content that is now available.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken

Transcript

500 years ago, a German monk named Martin Luther started a protest that exploded into worldwide movement. At that time, Europe lived in the shadow of the Roman Catholic Church. It was more like an empire than a church. It crowned and cast down kings, and used its dominance to keep people in the darkness of superstition. That sounds pretty unfamiliar.

But in some ways, Luther’s day was very much like our own. Just like today, everyone had an opinion about the Bible even though almost no one had actually read it. Like so many of us, they were trusting the thought-leaders and taste-makers of their day to tell them what was in the Bible and whether or not to believe it. Luther was one of the very few people actually reading the Bible, and what he found was earth-shattering. Even though he was a monk, Luther hated the God of the Bible. But when he studied it, the world around him began to make sense. God made sense. The significance of Jesus became clear to him. He discovered the answer to his deepest question: how could evil be overcome? Specifically, how could his own evil—his own sin—be dealt with?

Luther discovered that he couldn’t do anything to fix this problem himself. He had to rely on the finished work of Christ alone. Luther had discovered a central truth. It changed his life. It changed the world. The Protestant Reformation was about two things. It was about who can say what’s true and it was about how to reconcile who we are with who God is. It recognized that God’s Word is the ultimate authority in this world, and that the perfect life and sacrificial death of Jesus Christ are the only answer for evil and the only basis on which sinners can stand before a holy God. The Protestant Reformation is a story of transformation—a transformation from hate to love, from slavery to freedom, and from blind faith to a glorious discovery of the truth in Jesus Christ.

October 13 From the Mouth of God

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work” (2 Tim. 3:16–17).

✧✧✧

God’s Word is inspired.

Second Timothy 3:16 speaks of the inspiration of Scripture. “Inspired” is the translation of a Greek word that literally means “God-breathed.” Every word of Scripture is from the mouth of God!

Theologians speak of inspiration as the mysterious process by which God worked through the authors of Scripture to produce inerrant and divinely authoritative writings. Inspiration is a mystery because Scripture doesn’t explain specifically how it occurred. The only glimpse we have is from 2 Peter: “Know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (1:20–21).

“Interpretation” speaks of origin. Scripture didn’t originate on the human level but with the Holy Spirit, who “moved” upon the authors to write it (v. 21). “Moved” is the translation of a nautical term that describes the effects of wind upon a ship as it blows against its sails and moves it through the water. Similarly, the Spirit moved on the Biblical writers to produce the Word of God in the language of men.

The human authors of Scripture knew they were writing God’s Word, and they did so with confidence and authority. Often they cited or alluded to one another as authoritative agents of divine revelation (e.g., 2 Peter 3:15–16).

On a personal level, inspiration guarantees that what Scripture says, God says. It’s His counsel to you; so you can study and obey it with full assurance that it is true and will never lead you astray.

✧✧✧

Suggestions for Prayer:  Praise the Lord for His inspired Word. ✧ Reaffirm your commitment to live according to its principles today.

For Further Study: Often the New Testament affirms the inspiration of the Old Testament by attributing Old Testament quotations to God Himself. For example, compare these Old Testament passages with their New Testament counterparts: Genesis 2:24 with Matthew 19:4–5; Psalm 2:1–2 with Acts 4:25–26; Isaiah 55:3 with Acts 13:34; Psalm 16:10 with Acts 13:35; Psalm 95:7–11 with Hebrews 3:7–11. ✧ How might you respond to someone who says that the Bible is merely the words of devout religious men?[1]

Johnstone: We’re “Trapped In An Orwellian Oligarchy” | Zero Hedge

Facebook, Twitter Purge More Dissident Media Pages In Latest Escalation

Facebook has purged more dissident political media pages today, this time under the pretense of protecting its users from “inauthentic activity”. In a statement co-authored by Facebook Head of Cybersecurity Nathaniel Gleicher (who also happens to be the former White House National Security Council Director of Cybersecurity Policy), the massive social media platform explained that it has removed “559 Pages and 251 accounts that have consistently broken our rules against spam and coordinated inauthentic behavior.”

This “inauthentic behavior”, according to Facebook, consists of using “sensational political content — regardless of its political slant — to build an audience and drive traffic to their websites,” which is the same as saying they write about controversial things, and posting those political articles “in dozens of Facebook Groups, often hundreds of times in a short period, to drum up traffic for their websites.”

In other words, the pages were removed for publishing controversial political content and trying to get people to read it. Not for writing “fake news”, but for doing what they could to get legitimate indie media news stories viewed by people who might want to view it. The practice of sharing your material around in Facebook groups is common practice for most independent media content creators; I did it myself a lot in late 2016 and early 2017, and pretty much all my indie media peers at the time did too.

“For those of you who read what I write, you know that I did not violate any standards,” writes Terresa Monroe-Hamilton, whose personal profile and Facebook page for her political blog NoisyRoom.net were both deleted. “In fact, I don’t send out most of what I write. I send on big news links and a few memes. It was enough to get me banned and the pages are simply gone.”

“Facebook took down my page with nearly 70,000 followers, labeling it as ‘spam,’ when I have spent 4 years working to build that page up and using it to post the articles I wrote and videos of my reporting,” tweeted RT America’s Rachel Blevins. “This is so incredibly wrong and is affecting hundreds of similar pages.”

“And just like that 5 + years of hard work promoting ideas of peace and freedom have been erased,” wrote a Facebook user called John Liberty, who lost multiple pages about police accountability, cannabis legalization and libertarianism.

Two of the most high-profile pages which were shut down have probably been seen at some point by any political dissident who uses Facebook; the Free Thought Project, which had 3.1 million followers, and Anti-Media, which had 2.1 million. I’ve found useful information on both sites before, and despite disagreeing with them ideologically in some areas have found them both vastly more legitimate than anything you’ll find on Google News.

As if that wasn’t creepy enough, some of the accounts purged by Facebook appear to be getting censored on Twitter as well, bringing back memories of the August cross-platform coordinated silencing of Alex Jones. The aforementioned Anti-Media has now been suspended from Twitter just hours after tweeting about being removed from Facebook, along with one of its top writers Carey Wedler, and a Unicorn Riot activist named Patti Beers who had more than 30,000 Twitter followers has just been removed from both sites as well.

I have said it before and I will say it again: in a corporatist system, wherein there is no clear line between corporate power and government power, corporate censorship is government censorship. You can’t have a system wherein corporate lobbying and campaign finance amount to legalized bribery of elected officials, wherein massive Silicon Valley corporations form extensive ties with secretive government agencies in order to eclipse their competition, and then claim this is a matter of private corporations enforcing their own rules on their own private property. This is just what totalitarian government censorship looks like in a corporatist oligarchy.

Do you want a few Silicon Valley plutocrats determining what political speech constitutes “inauthentic activity” for you? Do you want a world in which the masses are herded into massive government-allied social media stables which are then regularly brought before the US Senate to pledge more iron-fisted censorship of problematic political speech? Do you want a world in which social media corporations are forced to make alliances with existing power structures in order to be allowed to grow? Do you want a world in which venues of political discourse are increasingly sterilized to favor the agendas of the ruling class? If not, the time to act is now.

Regardless of where you’re at on the political spectrum, if you oppose the status quo then opposing internet censorship of any political speech is now a matter of simple self defense. If this wasn’t obvious to you when they shut down Alex Jones, it should damn well be obvious to you now. If you want to change the existing system in any way which takes power away from those currently in power, your voice is next on the chopping block. They’re locking all the doors down as fast as they can to keep us trapped in this Orwellian oligarchy until they get us all killed by war or ecocide. If they shut down the public’s ability to share dissident information, they’ll have locked the final door. Don’t let them.

UPDATE: Free Thought Project has, like Anti-Media, now been removed from Twitter as well as Facebook. There definitely appears to be some kind of coordination or overlap between Twitter and Facebook censors.

Media Suddenly Warns Of Recession “By The End Of 2020” That Will Be “Worse Than The Great Depression” | Zero Hedge

The mood of the mainstream media is really starting to shift dramatically…

Authored by Michael Snyder via The Economic Collapse blog,

The mood of the mainstream media is really starting to shift dramatically…

At one time they seemed determined to convince all of us that happy days were here again for the U.S. economy, but now some mainstream news outlets are openly warning that the next recession will be “worse than the Great Depression”.

Do they really believe that this is true, or is there some other purpose behind their bold headlines?  Of course it isn’t exactly difficult to predict that another recession is coming, because the U.S. economy has experienced recession after recession ever since the Federal Reserve was first established in 1913.  But the phrase “worse than the Great Depression” implies that what we will soon be facing will be the worst economic downturn in all of U.S. history.  That is a very bold statement to make, and it should not be done lightly.

That is why I have been absolutely astounded by some of the mainstream headlines that I have been seeing lately.  For example, the following comes from a New York Post article entitled “Next crash will be ‘worse than the Great Depression’: experts”

“We think the major economies are on the cusp of this turning into the worst recession we have seen in 10 years,”said Murray Gunn, head of global research at Elliott Wave International.

And in a note, he added: “Should the [US] economy start to shrink, and our analysis suggests that it will, the high nominal levels of debt will instantly become a very big issue.”

And here is an excerpt from an article posted on MSN entitled “Experts warn the next recession will be ‘worse than the Great Depression’ and predict it will hit US within two years as $247 trillion global debt outdoes 2008”

The next recession could put the 2008 financial crash to shame if two experts’ predictions about the worldwide debt of $247 trillion are correct.

Expected to hit the United States within the next two years, the impact has been compared to the severe worldwide economic crisis which started 1929 and last until 1939.

It is particularly interesting that the author of the last article chose to use the phrase “within the next two years”.

That strongly implies that the U.S. economy will have plunged into the next recession before the next presidential election takes place.

Other mainstream outlets are using similar language.  For example, the following comes from a Bloomberg article entitled “Two-thirds of U.S. business economists see recession by end of 2020”

Two-thirds of business economists in the U.S. expect a recession to begin by the end of 2020, while a plurality of respondents say trade policy is the greatest risk to the expansion, according to a new survey.

About 10 percent see the next contraction starting in 2019, 56 percent say 2020 and 33 percent said 2021 or later, according to the Aug. 28-Sept. 17 poll of 51 forecasters issued by the National Association for Business Economics on Monday.

Those are stunning numbers.

If they are correct, and I have no reason to doubt them, that means that 66 percent of mainstream economists believe that the next recession will strike in either 2019 or 2020.

Of course those that follow my work on a regular basis already know that there are a multitude of signs that indicate that the U.S. economy is already slowing down.

I wanted to share another one of those signs with you today.  For years, the real estate market in Manhattan was red hot, but now we just witnessed “the fourth straight quarter of double-digit declines”

Total real estate sales in Manhattan fell 11 percent in the third quarter compared with a year ago, marking the fourth straight quarter of double-digit declines, according to new data from Douglas Elliman Real Estate and Miller Samuel Real Estate Appraisers & Consultants. It was also the first time since the financial crisis that resales of existing apartments fell for four straight quarters.

Prices fell, inventory jumped and discounts were higher and more common. Real estate brokers say the Manhattan real estate market is suffering from an oversupply of luxury units, a decline in foreign buyers and changes in the tax law that make it more expensive to own property in high-tax states.

At this point, the housing market in New York City has become “a buyer’s market”, and there are no signs that things are going to turn around any time soon…

“Offers 20 percent and 25 percent below asking prices began to flow in, a phenomenon last seen in 2009,” wrote Warburg Realty founder and CEO Frederick W. Peters in the report, which surveys real estate conditions around the city.

Warburg’s report dovetails with separate data showing a definitive cooling in New York’s housing market. The number of homes for sale in the city recently hit a record, according to StreetEasy data, amid fewer sales transactions. Meanwhile, September’s report from real estate firm MNS showed Manhattan apartment rental prices — the most expensive in the city — on the decline.

Of course this is not just happening in New York City.  Home sellers all over the nation are slashing their prices at the fastest rate that we have seen in at least eight years.

In order for people to be able to afford to buy expensive homes, they need good jobs, and more good jobs just keep getting shipped out of the country.

For example, Verizon just announced that they will be shipping thousands of information technology jobs to India

Earlier this week, Verizon confirmed that it offered a voluntary severance package (VSP) to about 44,000 employees and that it will transfer over 2,500 IT staff – some rumors suggest the figure to be closer to 5,000 employees – to India-based Infosys as part of a $700 million outsourcing deal.

The layoffs and transfers will impact more than 30% of Verizon’s 153,100-employee workforce – as of the end of June – and are part of a 4-year plan to save the largest U.S. wireless carrier $10 billion by 2021.

If you get angry when you read such stories, that is good, because they should make you angry.

The middle class in America is being systematically eviscerated, and the U.S. economy is steadily being hollowed out.

And now the mainstream media is boldly pronouncing that the next recession will arrive within the next two years, and many are suggesting that it will be even more painful than the last one…

Trump Nominates Sodomite Adviser To Jeff Sessions To Ninth Circuit Court Of Appeals – The Trumpet Online

Editor’s Note: Regardless of how God providentially might be holding back wickedness through the Trump administration, the fact that sodomites are celebrated and promoted at the highest levels of government clearly demonstrates just how abominable this administration is.

Lifesitenews.com

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 12, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Another homosexual judge with ties to a LGBT legal group is among President Donald Trump’s latest batch of judicial nominees, this time to the influential Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

The White House announced a handful of federal appointees Wednesday, including assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Bumatay. A member of the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Tax Forces Section in the Southern District of California, Bumatay currently advises Attorney General Jeff Sessions on issues including opioids and organized crime.

National Review adds that he worked on the confirmations for Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Samuel Alito, and Justice Neil Gorsuch, as well as Bush administration Attorney General Michael Mukasey.

Bumatay would also be the nation’s second openly homosexual federal appeals court judge and the first on the Ninth Circuit, the San Francisco Chronicle notes. The White House’s press release also notes that he’s a member of the Tom Homann LGBT Law Association, an organization dedicated to the “advancement of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues throughout California and the nation.”

The Homann Association has staked out a number of left-wing positions, including disappointment that the Supreme Court upheld Christian baker Jack Phillips’ right to refuse to make a cake for a same-sex “wedding,” and “unequivocally denounc[ing]” the Trump administration’s ban on transgender military service.

Pro-family advocates agree that Trump’s judicial nominees are one of the highlights of his presidency, potentially shifting the federal judiciary to the right for generations to come. But Bumatay follows Judge Mary Rowland, an open homosexual who has ties to the left-wing Lesbian & Gay Bar Association of Chicago and Lambda Legal Defense & Education Fund, as the second appointee whose background raises doubts as to whether he would separate his homosexuality from his jurisprudence.

Conservatives see trustworthy nominees as particularly critical on the Ninth Circuit, a notoriously liberal court whose record includes blocking the administration’s transgender troop ban, a string of decisions favorable to Planned Parenthood’s lawsuit against David Daleiden and other pro-life undercover investigators, and banning prayer at local school board meetings.

“At this point, it’s virtually impossible in the 9th Circuit to draw a panel with two Republican-appointed judges. It’s possible, but it’s tough,” South Texas College of Law professor Josh Blackman explained in March. “This might make it more possible to draw a panel [of two Republican appointed judges] every now and then.”

Trump’s pro-life record has largely pleased conservatives, but his record on LGBT issues is more mixed. In addition to the transgender troop ban, he has supported religious liberty, rejected “pride month,” and staffed his administration with pro-family leaders such as Mike Pompeo and Howard Nielson, Jr.

On the other hand, Trump has nominated a variety of pro-homosexual officials to various government posts and continued a number of Obama-era pro-LGBT policies, such as an executive order on “gender identity nondiscrimination” and U.S. support for international recognition of homosexual relations at the United Nations Human Rights Council.

He publicly praised the pro-LGBT group Log Cabin Republicans in January, and declared after the election that the Supreme Court’s 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges ruling forcing all fifty states to recognize same-sex “marriage” was “settled law.”

The conservative Federalist Society plays a significant advisory role in the administration’s selection of judicial nominees, a relationship started during Trump’s campaign to reassure skeptical Republicans about the formerly liberal businessman’s reliability.

October 13, 2018 Morning Verse Of The Day

96 Oh sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all the earth!
2  Sing to the LORD, bless his name;
tell of his salvation from day to day.
3  Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous works among all the peoples!

The Holy Bible: English Standard Version. (2016). (Ps 96:1–3). Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles.

Proclamation of Universal Praise (96:1–3)

1–3 The threefold call “sing to the Lord” is symmetric with the three imperatives—“praise” (lit., “bless”), “proclaim” (lit., “proclaim good news”), and “declare” (or “tell”). The contents of the praise is “a new song” (v. 1; cf. 144:9; 149:1; Rev 5:9; 14:3), i.e., the fresh outburst of praise to God. The occasion of praise is a new act of “salvation” (yešûʿâ, v. 2; cf. 3:2–3), also known as “his marvelous deeds” and “his wonders” (see 9:1). The acts of the Lord are acts of deliverance whereby he assures his people of deliverance and victory (see Reflections, p. 603, The Mighty Acts of Yahweh).

The exact nature of the salvation is not specified here, but it may include all acts in redemptive history—creation and redemption (vv. 2, 11–12; cf. 136:4–25). The people of God must provide leadership by giving “praise” to his name every day (“day after day”). Thus the “nations” (gôyîm, v. 3) and the “peoples” (ʿammîm) will hear the good news (v. 2; bāśar, GK 1413, “declare the good news”; NIV, “proclaim”; cf. Isa 40:9; 41:27; 52:7) of who Yahweh is and what he has done for his people (see Reflections, p. 505, The Praise of Yahweh).[1]

96:1–3 / The opening imperatives of praise are universal in scope: it is to be performed by all the earth and among the nations. The Hebrew word for proclaim (bāśar), meaning “to proclaim good news,” is similarly used in Isaiah 52:7, where the content of the good news is spelled out as, “Your God reigns!” (cf. 40:9; 61:1). In particular, God’s reign is to be evidenced by the restoration of Jerusalem after the exile, so that “all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God” (Isa. 52:10, which cites another psalm of Yahweh’s kingship, Ps. 98:3).

In the context of these psalms of Yahweh’s kingship, what is decidedly new in this song (also 98:1) is not necessarily its contents. The song is clearly new to the singers of the psalm, that is, “all the earth” (so in 98:1, 4.) They are to take up Yahweh’s song—not those of “the gods of the nations” (96:5)—and sing of his salvation, his glory, and his marvelous deeds.[2]

96:1–3. The psalmist invited all the earth (i.e., people everywhere; cf. 97:1; 98:4; 100:1) to praise the Lord. They were to sing (cf. comments on 5:11) a new song to Him (cf. 33:3; 40:3; 98:1; 144:9; 149:1). Singing a new song suggests that new mercies had been received. The people were told to announce His salvation and His deeds throughout the world, which would bring Him glory (cf. “glory” in 96:6–8).[3]

96:1–3 Among the nations is a bold declaration that one day the message of God’s mercy will be known the world over. One day the message of God’s salvation will be known among all peoples. This declaration depends on God’s promise to Abraham that through his descendants all nations of the earth will be blessed (Gen. 12:1–3). It also anticipates Jesus’ command to his disciples to spread the news of God’s goodness to a desperate world (Matt. 28:18–20; Ps. 67).[4]

96:2 Proclaim good tidings. Genuine praise includes a testimony to others of God’s plan of redemption.

96:3 His glory … nations. The glory of the Lord is more than just His majestic splendor. It includes all of the reasons for admiring and praising Him, such as His acts of creation (cf. Ps 19:2) and redemption (v. 2). all the peoples. See note on Ps 67:3.[5]

96:2 his name This phrase emphasizes intimate knowledge of God rather than a particular name as multiple names are used for God. See note on 91:14.

his salvation The Hebrew word used here, yeshu’ah, refers in the psalms to Yahweh’s deliverance from whatever hazards the psalmist is experiencing. See 91:16 and note.

day to day Intensifies the personal experience of God’s deliverance.

96:3 among the nations Refers to the geographic territories outside Israel (compare v. 10).

the peoples Refers to people groups other than the Israelites (vv. 3, 5, 7, 10, 13).[6]

96:1–3 This new song was cosmic praise for Yahweh’s reign over a universal kingdom comprising all peoples (98:1; 144:9; 149:1; Is 42:10; see note at Ps 33:1–3). Mention of the sanctuary (96:6) implies a preexilic origin for this psalm. A threefold repetition of sing followed by three imperatives—bless … proclaim, and declare—underscore the purpose of the song: to glorify the Lord’s works of salvation.[7]

Diverging from left-of-center media reports suggesting that President Trump is mentally unfit for office, Politico writes on Friday that “Trump may not be crazy, but the rest of us are getting there fast.

The article begins with a poor Philadelphia couple, whose therapist tells Politico that Donald Trump has single handedly ruined their sex life.

CNN before love-making is not his idea of a turn-on.

But she can hardly turn it off—engrossed as she is in the latest unnerving gyrations of Washington.

Who else to blame but Donald Trump? Politico

The couple’s story is apparently “not as anomalous as one might suppose,” adding that “even when symptoms are not sexual in nature, there is abundant evidence that Trump and his daily uproars are galloping into the inner life of millions of Americans.

In other words – there’s a mass triggering going on right now thanks to Trump’s disruptive impact on politics. The effect on the American psyche, according to “numerous counselors,” hasn’t been seen since the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

During normal times, therapists say, their sessions deal with familiar themes: relationships, self-esteem, everyday coping. Current events don’t usually invade. But numerous counselors said Trump and his convulsive effect on America’s national conversation is giving politics a prominence on the psychologist’s couch not seen since the months after 9/11—another moment in which events were frightening in a way that had widespread emotional consequences.

Empirical data bolsters the anecdotal reports from practitioners. The American Psychiatric Association in a May survey found that 39 percent of people said their anxiety level had risen over the previous year—and 56 percent were either “extremely anxious” or “somewhat anxious about “the impact of politics on daily life.” A 2017 study found two-thirds of Americans’ see the nation’s future as a “very or somewhat significant source of stress.” –Politico

Apparently the lowest unemployment in roughly 50 years, de-escalation with a nuclear North Korea and a massive tax cut is vastly overshadowed by erratic behavior from a plain spoken President.

For over two years, pundits have been lobbing all sorts of suggestions at Trump amid a general culture of outrage on the left – calling him everything from insane to suffering from narcissistic personality disorder. Interviews of Trump from decades ago are being compared to more recent clips in search of evidence that his cognition is in decline.

Or, Trump is simply running circles around the left while operating in his own personal fishbowl…

A more plausible interpretation, in the view of some psychological experts, is that Trump has been cultivating, adapting and prospering from his distinctive brand of provocation, brinkmanship, and self-drama for the past 72 years. What we’re seeing is merely the president’s own definition of normal. It is only the audience who finds the performance disorienting. –Politico

“In other words: He’s not crazy, but the rest of us are getting there fast.”

Illinois psychologist Jennifer Panning calls it “Trump Anxiety Disorder, while Conservatives refer to it Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). Panning wrote a chapter on it called “The Dangerous Case Of Donald Trump,” while in an interview she said that the disorder is marked by symptoms such as “increased worry, obsessive thought patterns, muscle tension and obsessive preoccupation with the news.”

Meanwhile, 40% of people surveyed say they “can no longer have open and honest conversations with some friends or family members,” according to market research firm Galileo, in a report that reads like the author was suffering from a bit of Trump Anxiety Disorder themselves.

This goes beyond office arguments or the Thanksgiving gathering in which some cousin or in-law drinks too much and someone storms out after the diner-table conversation turns to politics. Even the closest daily relationships can suffer.

The Philadelphia couple who found Trump had a detumescent effect on their love life weren’t arguing about the president, said their therapist, Cynthia Baum-Baicker. They were just coping with shared distress in different ways. Information for many people reduces anxiety, and so TV news was a kind of psychic tether for the wife.

“I remember the husband basically said, ‘If you ever want to be intimate again, you’ll turn the TV off in the bedroom. I can’t have that man present and listen to him and feel any sense of arousal,’” said Baum-Baicker. –Politico

Politico then suggests that the Trump-fueled anxiety is due in part to “political theory,” positing that America – without a monarchy like the UK, tends to lionize the President as “national consolers,” and that people assign “an almost parental role to the presidency.”

And daddy is acting strange…

“Authority figures represent the parent, [so] President Trump seats in the seat of parent for all Americans,” said Baum-Baicker. “So now, my ‘father figure’ is a bully, is an authoritarian who doesn’t believe in studying and doing homework. … [Rather than reassurance] he creates uncertainty.”

Trump supporters are apparently suffering too – because their liberal family members have made them feel alienated.

Elisabeth Joy LaMotte, who practices psychotherapy in the nation’s capital, said she “doesn’t view it as a party-specific thing.”

Conservatives are hurting, too,” she said. “I view this anxiety as collective in a very strong sense. They’re hurting in part because they feel they don’t have permission to share their real views, or they feel conflicted because they agree with things that the president is doing but they’re uncomfortable with his language and tactics…. And they feel alienated and isolated from friends and family who differ from their views, as if there’s not permission to view it in a different way in D.C.”

Nearly every interview with psychologists returned to the theme of “gaslighting”—the ability of manipulative people to make those around them question their mental grip. –Politico

“Human beings hate two things,” says New York psychiatrist Michael Dulchin – who has dealt with Trump anxiety in his practice. One is “to look to the future and think you don’t have enough energy to succeed and live up to your expectations. The other is to not be able to predict the environment.”

And to think we could be in for six more years of perpetual triggerings.

Clinton’s “Researchers”…. — The Last Refuge

I’m going to walk through a long-held hypothesis of sorts, surrounding how multiple institutions within government were weaponized around politics.  The foundation is what we already know about how the intelligence apparatus was politically weaponized by multiple Obama-era officials.

Jeff Carlson has assembled a strong and in-depth outline covering most of the weaponized intelligence agencies and how they related to “spygate” – SEE HERE

However, there has also been a strong suspicion that most of the corrupt origination activity would never surface.

The downstream ramifications to the institutions of our IC apparatus would be too destructive. What follows below is the story that will never reach sunlight officially.

When reading the Department of State (DoS) letter today, I cannot avoid reviewing the information against the backdrop of known DoS corrupt political activity that extends beyond the Clinton emails scandal.   For this explanation, here’s the excerpt that matters:

Forget Clinton’s motives for a moment. We all know her “request” was a proactive measure due to the likelihood her clearance was going to be forcibly revoked.  Requesting the removal avoids multiple political and logistical issues of her security file being damaged by a forced revocation.  The request is transparent in motive; so lets get beyond the surface issue.

The “researchers” who Secretary Clinton designated is the topic of interest; and the redacted identifications therein are telling.  The Executive Order referenced is HERE.  The subsection [Sec. 4.4 (a)(2)] involves:

Sec. 4.4. Access by Historical Researchers and Certain Former Government Personnel.

(a) The requirement in section 4.1(a)(3) of this order that access to classified information may be granted only to individuals who have a need-to-know the information may be waived for persons who:

(1) are engaged in historical research projects;
(2) previously have occupied senior policy-making positions to which they were appointed or designated by the President or the Vice President; or
(3) served as President or Vice President.

(link)

Essentially what this tells us is that Secretary Hillary Clinton used her authority to waive the ‘need to know‘ limit on the people she listed.  In essence, she gave unlimited access to her “researchers” for an unspecified reason.

When I see the wording, immediately I think of two distinct reasons for Clinton to grant her researchers with top-level security access to classified information: (1) to participate in searches of FISA databases (ie. ‘queries’); and (2) to make unmasking requests for any results within those search query results.

Keeping in mind these appear to be State Department access / authorized researchers.  The DoS is one of the intelligence authorized access portals.  [FBI, DOJ-NSD, NSA, CIA, DoD are others.]  In short, Clinton ‘researchers’ would have access to compartmented intelligence gathering systems, ie. FISA intelligence systems.

Now, remember all of the ‘unmasking requests’ attributed to U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Powers?   Hundreds of them.  Ambassador Samantha Powers is a top-level official, for Obama a cabinet level official, within the Department of State.

In October of 2017, HPSCI lead investigative House member Trey Gowdy questioned Ambassador Powers about those unmasking requests.

Prompted to 04:38.  Just hit play:

Brett Baier: “You are also looking, and have talked to the former Ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power. We reported that she requested or her officer requested 260 plus efforts to unmask, in other words, get who was talking about picked up in surveillance. How did she answer that question? Why so many?”

Trey Gowdy: “Well, I’ll tell you broadly, uh Brett, I think if she was on your show, she would say those attempt to unmask may have been attributed to her. But they greatly exceed, by an exponential factor, the requests that she actually made.  So that’s her testimony, uh, and, and she was pretty emphatic.

The surveillance community, the intelligence community, has assigned this number of requests to her – her perspective, her testimony is: ‘they may be under my name, but I did not make those requests‘.”

“So, we’ve got to get to the bottom of that; if there was someone else making requests on behalf of a principal in the intelligence community we need to know that because we are getting ready to reauthorize a program, that’s really important to the country, but also has a masking component to it.”

Can you see the possibilities here?

We already know the intelligence systems were weaponized for political opposition research.  The FBI assembled a FISA-Title-1 surveillance warrant on U.S. citizen Carter Page, using completely fraudulent information and misled the FISA court.

Those FISA issues are still being investigated by the Goodlatte/Gowdy Joint House Committee and, the DOJ (Rosenstein) is working earnestly to block any declassification of documents that would evidence the corruption.  Additionally, Inspector General Michael Horowitz is also investigating corruption within the FISA process.

However, we don’t need to wait for the House or IG to tell us the FISA(702)(16)(17) search queries were weaponized for political use, because FISA Court Presiding Judge Rosemary Collyer already outlined the investigative findings of NSA Director Mike Rogers in his admissions to the FISC (FISA Court).

Reminder:

(Source pdf)

♦ Thousands of search queries from November 1, 2015, to May 1, 2016.

♦ 85% of those Search queries were unauthorized (ie. illegal).

There is a reason why the FISA abuse origination story is every discussed.

The period in review matches exactly the period in which Fusion-GPS was conducting opposition research.  November 2015, is when Nellie Ohr, DOJ-NSD official Bruce Ohr’s wife, was hired by Fusion-GPS.

All of these data-points flow in one distinct direction: a collective effort within various administrative IC agencies of the U.S. government to use access to intelligence systems to conduct research on their political enemies. That includes candidate Donald Trump.

In the aggregate the Clinton “researchers” are advancing her interests through the insider use of a system that is ideologically aligned with her political objectives.

While the 2016 FBI unit, headed by Andrew McCabe, is facilitating -via contractors- a fraudulent and corrupt operation against Clinton’s political opponent; at the same time the Clinton research team are using their DoS access point to unmask the results of the names that come from the Fusion-GPS team, and flow those results into the bloodstream of the Obama administration.

This is all one massively corrupt enterprise using intelligence gathering databases.

However, here’s the punch in the gut.  The U.S. government doesn’t want the previous corrupt use of the system to surface, because that could potentially put the entire intelligence system at risk… The public might demand the entire system is dismantled. As a consequence even the non-corrupt entities within government are not in position to make the jaw-dropping weaponization public.

Now, considering that Ambassador Samantha Powers was not making the unmasking requests, and that someone -likely Clinton ‘researchers’- within the DoS compartment was making them through her office, re-read this letterfrom HPSCI Chairman Devin Nunes to DNI Dan Coats in 2017:

(Full Letter pdf Source)

“Political spying”?

“I was urging my former colleagues, and, and frankly speaking the people on the Hill [Democrat politicians], it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can – get as much intelligence as you can – before President Obama leaves the administration.”

“Because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior [Obama] people who left; so it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy, um, that the Trump folks – if they found out HOW we knew what we knew about their, the Trump staff, dealing with Russians – that they would try to compromise those sources and methods; meaning we no longer have access to that intelligence.”

“So I became very worried because not enough was coming out into the open and I knew that there was more.  We have very good intelligence on Russia; so then I had talked to some of my former colleagues and I knew that they were also trying to help get information to the Hill.” [ie. Democrat politicians] (link)”

There have been daily revelations showing a considerable collaboration between the White House, Hillary Clinton, the DNC, Fusion-GPS founder Glenn Simpson; his wife Mary Jacoby, DOJ Deputy Bruce Ohr and his wife Fusion GPS employee Nellie Ohr, Russian Dossier author Christopher Steele, FBI agent Peter Strzok and his mistress, FBI lawyer Lisa Page; and the highest levels of officials within the FBI, including Chief Legal Counsel James Bakerand FBI Asst. Director Andrew McCabe.

All of the evidence points in one transparently obvious direction; toward a 2015 and 2016 collaborative effortstructured to use a counterintelligence operation to conduct wiretaps and surveillance on the presidential campaign of candidate Donald Trump.

Accepting all of that mounting evidence, does that March 2017 interview with former Obama administration official Evelyn Farkas (Deputy Asst. Secretary of Defense), appearing on MSNBC, make even more sense now?

Democrats use Hitler’s propaganda technique

Three lies to look out for…before people start believing them.

Folks, I guess I should let this go.  But it still blows my mind that the American left is committed to branding Brett Kavanaugh, without a shred of evidence, a sexual predator for the rest of his life.  That is incredibly, cold, calculating and evil.

Adolf Hitler said, “If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.”  This propaganda technique has been embraced by the Democratic Party.  Here are three huge lies Democrats continue to invest billions’ worth of media in to deceive the public.  Big lie number one: America’s cops are racist and routinely murder blacks.  Big lie number two: Trump colluded with Russia to steal the presidency from Hillary.  Big lie number three: Brett Kavanaugh is a serial rapist.

BEST IN CLASS: Melania Trump Handles Ham-Handed Queries About Alleged Affairs with Grace and Poise

Let’s be honest: Did journalists ever ask such things of Michelle Obama or Hillary Clinton in interviews like this?

First lady Melania Trump emphasized that she has “much more important things” to do than focus on the idea of any alleged infidelities of her husband, President Donald Trump, during her interview with ABC News’ Tom Llamas, which will air in its entirety on Friday night.

“It is not [a] concern [or] focus of mine. I’m a mother and a first lady, and I have much more important things to think about and to do. I know people like to speculate, and media like to speculate about our marriage,” Trump said during the interview, a clip of which was released Thursday, as CNN reported.

Asked if she’s been hurt by the allegations of affairs, the first lady said, “It’s not always pleasant, of course, but I know what is right and what is wrong and what is true or not true.”

When ABC News’ Llamas asked if she and the president still have a good marriage — and even if she loves her husband — the first lady replied, “Yes, we are fine. Yes.”

She continued, ”It’s what media speculate, and it’s gossip. It’s not always correct stuff,” she added.

Trump has not publicly addressed the allegations of her husband’s infidelities during their 13-year marriage, instead focusing on her initiatives such as her “Be Best” campaign for kids, which aims to end cyberbullying.

Back in June, former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, now President Trump’s personal lawyer in the special counsel investigation, said that the first lady does not believe her husband had an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels, as CNN noted.

“She believes her husband, and she knows it’s untrue,” Giuliani said then.

The first lady’s communications director fired back at Giuliani at the time, telling CNN in a statement, “I don’t believe Mrs. Trump has ever discussed her thoughts on anything with Mr. Giuliani.”

Melania reiterated that in her taped interview with ABC News, saying that she “never talked to Mr. Giuliani.”

Asked why she thinks Giuliani made his comment, the first lady responded, “I don’t know. You need to ask him.”

Trump also said during the interview that she is “the most bullied person in the world,” changing that later to “one of the most bullied,” in a clip released Thursday on “Good Morning America.”

“I could say I’m the most bullied person [in] the world,” Trump said when she was asked what made her interested in the issue of cyberbullying.

In the interview, she also commented on politics, saying there are still people working for her husband’s administration whom he cannot trust.

She said she has advised him about those she thinks he can trust, but her husband remains independent in making those decisions.

“I give him my honest advice and honest opinions, and then he does what he wants to do,” she said.

Facebook And Twitter Ban Popular Independent Media Sites In Coordinated Purge

Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey just carried out quite possibly the biggest attack on the free press in the history of America and the corporate media is cheering it on.

Article Image

During the civil war, Abraham Lincoln shut down a few newspapers.

Mark Zuckerberg just shut down 559 pages and 251 accounts — which include tons of massive independent media sites with millions of followers run by Americans — a few weeks out from the midterms.

Jack Dorsey followed it up by banning many of the same independent news sites and the journalists who ran them on Twitter.

The pages included The Free Thought Project, Press For Truth, Anti-Media, Cop Block, Filming Cops, Right Wing News, Noisy Room, Gun Laws Don’t Work, Voluntaryist Veterans and many more.
