O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

—Psalm 34:3

Worship rises or falls in any church altogether depending upon the attitude we take toward God, whether we see God big or whether we see Him little. Most of us see God too small; our God is too little. David said, “O magnify the LORD with me,” and “magnify” doesn’t mean to make God big. You can’t make God big. But you can see Him big.

Worship, I say, rises or falls with our concept of God; that is why I do not believe in these half-converted cowboys who call God the Man Upstairs. I do not think they worship at all because their concept of God is unworthy of God and unworthy of them. And if there is one terrible disease in the Church of Christ, it is that we do not see God as great as He is. We’re too familiar with God. WMJ021

Oh, God, may my concept of You be worthy of Your majesty. Forgive me for being too familiar and for seeing You so small. I magnify You and fall on my face in worship. Amen. [1]

Political Repercussions of the LGBTQ Agenda – Robert A. J. Gagnon
Every time Democrats are in political power, these are the kinds of things that Christians and others face with increasing intensity from a Party given over wholly to the LGBTQ agenda. The list is not exhaustive. A vote for Democrats is a vote to imperil your greatest liberties.
1) Children coercively indoctrinated by schools into the belief that anyone who does not support the LGBTQ agenda is a bigot akin to the most virulent racist; children made more confused as to their own sexuality, taught to disconnect gender from biological sex, with the increased risk of harm that attends increased “LGBTQ” identification.
2) Grant males who claim that they are females (many of whom remain sexually attracted to women) complete access to the private spaces of women (restrooms, locker rooms, changing rooms, showers, women’s shelters) and to female sporting events (regardless of the mismatch) and prosecute anyone who attempts to stop them from doing so to the fullest extent of the law as a “civil rights” violation.
3) Colleges and universities become places for punishing free discourse among faculty, staff, and students about the subject on the claim that anything other makes pro-“LGBTQ” fanatics “unsafe”; Christian groups derecognized for not allowing leaders that defy the orthodox Christian position on sexual ethics; and Christian schools lose their accreditation if they do not foster such ungodliness.
4) Lose one’s job if in the workplace (or even on social media in some cases) one speaks critically of “gay marriage” or fails to use the “preferred pronoun” and name of a “transgender” person who denies his or her biological sex; and experience in the workplace, like schools, heavy-handed indoctrination (brainwashing) into the ideology of homosexualism and transgenderism; mandating that companies institute affirmative-action policies for immorality or otherwise be denied contracts or grants from the federal government.
5) Prosecute business owners connected with weddings (photographers, bakers, caterers, florists) and even some that are not (like T-shirt designers) who do not use their artistic talents to promote, or even  do not write messages that express approval for, homosexual unions; being fined tens of thousands of dollars and losing their businesses and even life savings; prosecute also business owners who do not accommodate male employees who want to come to work dressed up as women, with a female hair-style and make-up.
6) Require that bed-and-breakfast places in a private residence must accept persons having “gay” sex under their roof irrespective of personal religious beliefs; and that churches let out their facilities for “gay weddings” or any “gay” or “transgender” celebration if they allow their facilities to be rented by anyone else.
7) Put out of business Christian adoption agencies unless they are willing to place orphans in “gay” and “transgender” homes, not just as a last resort but on equal grounds with a stable heterosexual union.
8) Forbid children being placed for adoption or foster care with prospective parents who do not agree to encourage any possible homosexual or transgender self-identity that the child may grow into at a future date; and require that state Social Services remove one’s own natural child from the home if the parents attempt to thwart their child’s homosexual or transgender self-identification and behavior, including not allowing one’s child to attend a “gay student alliance” group at school or even to receive “puberty blockers” or sexual “reassignment” surgery.
9) Make it a violation of the law to promote sexual orientation change efforts (SOCE) or even change of homosexual or transgender behavior, so long as there is an exchange of funds, possibly including even the sale of books; and this not just by professional therapists but also by church officials.

What Is the Gospel? — Ligonier Ministries Blog

The gospel is not about meaning, peace, or God’s plan for your life. It’s about Jesus. From our 2015 National Conference, R.C. Sproul and Sinclair Ferguson discuss how the New Testament defines the gospel message.

The Gospel According to Progressive Christianity: Is it Really Good News?

In my last post, I reviewed the book, Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis. It struck a chord with some, and clanged like an out of tune banjo with others. Sure, there were some fence-sitters who just wanted everyone to get along, but for the most part, people either really really loved it, or they wanted to burn it to the ground. Here are two comments I received that represent the reactions:

When I read your post, a few silent tears ran down my face. It was full of grace. Full of truth.

You are a judgmental bit*h. (Yes that was the message in its entirety.)

One book review. Two radically different reactions. I noticed that a number of the divergent comments and messages were centered on my explanation of the gospel.

Some found it repulsive, while others found it life-giving. But that’s what the gospel does, doesn’t it? It divides. And it unites. In direct reference to how the gospel would actually divide people, Jesus said, “I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” He also prayed that His true followers would be united in Him.

So it got me thinking about the gospel, and the emerging Progressive Christian “gospel” that seems to be underlying some of the contrary comments. After all, Hollis wrote that after she studied the gospel, she “finally grasped the divine knowledge that I am loved and worthy and enough . . . as I am.” (p. 30)

I’ll define both the historic Christian gospel and the Progressive gospel in a moment, but first, a couple more quotes:

He breaks the pow’r of reigning sin, He sets the prisoner free; His blood can make the foulest clean; His blood availed for me. — Charles Wesley, 1739

That God needed to be appeased with blood is not beautiful. It’s horrific. — Michael Gungor, 2017(source)

Why does Charles Wesley find the blood of Jesus to be soul-saving good news, and Michael Gungor find it to be gruesome and horrific? It all comes down to how one defines the word “gospel.”

Gospel is a word that literally means “good news.” It’s used a lot in the Bible, and Christians say it all the time. The Apostle Paul said he wasn’t ashamed of it and anyone who preaches a different one should be cursed. He called it “the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes.” Jesus called it “the gospel of the kingdom.”

What is the historic Christian gospel?

Greg Koukl describes it beautifully and simply in his book,The Story of Reality. He explains that every worldview must account for four things: Creation (How things began), Fall (How things got broken), Redemption (How things will get fixed), and Restoration (How things will look once they are fixed).

For two thousand years, Christianity has had specific answers to these questions.

How did things begin?God made the world and called it good. How did things get broken? Sin. How will things get fixed? Bear with me, this part is a bit more complicated. You see, God is just. This is very good news for anyone who has ever been abused, oppressed, or mistreated in any way. It means that injustice will be paid for. No sin will go unpunished. (In other words, ISIS won’t get away with it.) That sounds great if you’re talking about a terrorist or serial killer, but…aren’t we all sinners? Yes. It goes for us too. All sin must be paid for.

This is where Jesus comes in. God took on human flesh, lived a sinless life, and died a horrifying death to take on the sins of the world. He was raised from the dead, and whoever puts their trust in Jesus as their Savior will be reconciled to God and find eternal life.

How will things look once theyarefixed? Those who reject God’s free gift of forgiveness in this life will get their wish. God will quarantine them and all evil in a place of eternal punishment called hell. For those who have received His forgiveness, He’ll wipe away every tear in a place called heaven (or the New Heaven and New Earth, to be precise) where there will be no more crying, pain, or death. Of course, entire books have been written exploring all the deeper meanings and metaphors the Bible uses to describe what happened on the cross. But this is the Christian gospel in a nutshell.

What is the Progressive Christian gospel?

Enter Progressive Christianity. Everything I just explained is something Progressive author Brian McLaren calls “The six-line Greco Roman narrative.” (He lays the points out a bit differently, but it’s the same storyline.)  Along with many others, he rejects this view of the gospel. He suggests that this six-line narrative is nothing more than a copycat philosophy swiped from Plato and Aristotle.

Aside from pointing out some vague similarities between the ideas of these ancient philosophers and Christianity, McLaren never defends his theory much beyond simply asserting it. Yet Progressives have fallen for it in droves. Kevin DeYoungnoted, “McLaren’s six-line Greco-Roman story looks like something you come up with after one semester of Western Philosophy.”

McLaren claims the true gospel can be found by reading the Jesus story through a Jewish lens. By “Jewish lens,” he means that Jesus’ “gospel of the kingdom” is not about who’s “in or out,” or who goes to heaven or hell when they die. It’s about confronting systems of oppression in the here and now and ushering in God’s dream for creation. He explains that Jesus didn’t come to start a new religion. Instead, this “liberator king” came to announce a new kingdom that is “much bigger than a new religion, and in fact it has room for many religious traditions within it.” (p. 139)

Is the Progressive gospel really good news?

I agree that we should understand the Jewish context in which Jesus lived and carried out His ministry. But McLaren’s “Jewish lens” and “new kingdom” focus reads more like a political manifesto championing causes like health care reform, green energy, climate change, and a “healthy, sustainable, and regenerative economy.” (p. 63)

McLaren’s main beef with the historical gospel seems to be that it’s a “get your butt into heaven and ignore the world around you” type of attitude. But this is not biblical Christianity. I can wholeheartedly agree with him that if this is someone’s view of the gospel, they’ve got it all wrong.

It must be noted that throughout history,Christians have confronted oppression, impacted their societies for good, and had a strong emphasis on helping the poor, orphans, and widows. We haven’t always done it perfectly, but the historic understanding of the gospel sees these good works as a sign that our faith is living and not dead. (James 2:26)  It doesn’t throw sin, atonement, and heaven and hell out the window in exchange for building a better home here on earth.

So there you have it. Two very different ideas of what “gospel” means. Two ideas that contradict each other at every turn. Two ideas that elicit very different reactions.

But this is to be expected.

When the Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians, he explained that God was using him and others “to spread the fragrance of the knowledge of Christ everywhere.” He went on to say that not everyone found that smell to be so sweet.

Some thought it smelled like a rotting corpse.

This is because thereal gospel confronts our personal sin—the sin we cling to and inherently love. Sin that deserves death. Even if we work together to build a better society, we will still be rotten to the core without repentance and the transformation of the Holy Spirit. Only when we grasp how treacherous our sin is can we recognize how beautiful the gift of God’s grace is. This is why a bloodless gospel is not good news at all.

To some that message is the fragrance of life, and to others it’s the stench of death. There’s no middle ground. As the Apostle Paul said, “The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”

In my next post, I’ll zoom in for a closer look at how Progressives specifically answer the four worldview questions surrounding Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Restoration.

Christians Face Clear Choice Between Party That’s A Hypocritical Mockery Of Their Faith And One That’s Openly Hostile To It

U.S.—Christians voting their conscience have quite a choice this Election Day with the two major political parties.

With the Republicans, Christians have the option of declaring all their beliefs hollow by supporting a party that pays lip service to Christians while it is full of lies, greed, a hostile pose to foreigners, and a cavalier attitude about war. Christians can especially show their hypocrisy by throwing yet more support behind a president who stands anathema to just about every moral standard they’ve previously claimed important while he makes only a marginal effort to show support of faith (though the other day he referred to the second epistle to the Corinthians as “Corinthians 2: Corinthians Harder”).

With the Democrats, though, Christians can basically opt for suicide by giving support to a party that is actively against them, having shown they are very willing to make Christians face trial and lose their jobs for holding the same moral beliefs they’ve held for thousands of years. The only religious belief the Democrats seem to hold dear is that every knee shall bow at the altar of abortion (and pay forced tribute).

“It’s a really interesting choice,” said Christian Tanya Lloyd. “By supporting the Republicans, I’m giving people further ammunition to dismiss my beliefs as an empty cultural pose. At least they like to pretend to be Christian, though, while sometimes it seems like the only thing keeping the Democrats from hunting me down with hunter-seeker drones like from The Terminator is lack of technology.”

However the election turns out, though, Christians express confidence that they’ll be fine since they ultimately put their faith in “a much higher power than either political party” (presumably they’re referring to the Supreme Court).

Black Pastor: If White Evangelicals Are Repentant, They’ll Vote Democrat — Pulpit & Pen

Wendell Griffen, an Arkansas circuit judge and the pastor of New Millennium Church in Little Rock, claims that he’ll be watching the election returns to see “signs of repentance from white evangelicals.” According to Griffen, if white evangelicals are repentant over their racism, they’ll vote Democrat. If the election returns show that evangelicals vote Republican, Pastor Griffen claims that’s an indication they’re not really sorry for their racism.

Griffen writes for Baptist News Global

On Nov. 8, 2016, 81 percent of white evangelical voters in the United States supported Donald Trump despite evidence of his personal and commercial racism, misogyny, fear and hatred of immigrants, and deceitfulness. Their votes did not show that they see God in our neighbors who are immigrants, sick and otherwise vulnerable.

This is quite a list of blanket accusations from Griffen. One wonders, other than sheer repetition of the leftist narrative wherein lies President Trump’s racism. While his whoremongering is a matter of public record, his alleged racism, on the other hand, is hardly provable. Trump seems perfectly willing to bed, mistreat, use or flatter people of all races. Likewise, I doubt that President Trump feels any “fear” of immigrants, except perhaps vicariously, for the millions of Americans who live in areas who are overrun by criminal trespassers or near our national borders with approaching angry and anarchist mobs threatening to overtake them. Furthermore, Griffen alleges that those who voted for Trump (ostensibly, even his black supporters, which is an ever-growing number) must not see the image of God among the victim-class.

The theological concept of the “imago Dei” (that all humans are made in the image of God) is a favorite talking point of leftists who use it as an excuse for murdering babies without the slightest hint of conscience but still trying to maintain the moral high-ground on other issues that might gain them votes for their compassion. Here’s a little fact for you: leftists only care about who is made in God’s image when that person can get an ID (real or fake) and vote in an election.

That illegal aliens are imago Dei should have no more bearing on our immigration policy than that murderers and child molesters are equally as imago Dei. This matter relating to anthropology deals with humanity in toto, and was never employed as a means to pardon law-breakers.

Griffen continues…

White clergy who claim to be followers of the Palestinian Jewish fellow named Jesus – whose parents were forced to seek asylum with him in Egypt during his early childhood – have been silent as Trump has ordered military forces to prevent unarmed immigrants from Central America from seeking asylum in the United States.

Full stop.

First, Jesus was not a “Palestinian Jewish fellow.” There is no such nation as “Palestine.” Jesus was not Palestinian. No one is Palestinian. Secondly, you don’t “seek asylum” by barging down the walls of a nation and coming criminally. That’s how you invade a nation. Third, you don’t “seek asylum” from poverty or general life issues. That’s absurd. Fourth, the presumption that the migrant horde criminally seeking to violate our national sovereign borders (for noother reason than we have nicer stuff than their trailer-park-of-a-nation does) is “unarmed” is absurd. Not only is the group consisting of 80 percent single adult men armed (there are arms besides firearms), but they are also armed heavily. And once they cross into Texas, they’ll have access to a whole world of firearms. And finally on this point, if Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown taught us anything, it’s that you don’t have to have a firearm in your hand to pose a deadly risk.

White clergy were silent after the President referred to immigrants from Haiti and nations on the continent of Africa as being from “shithole” countries.

I guess truth is racist now.

Or does Wendell Griffen want to move to Rwanda? He continues…

Most white clergy were silent when Trump urged Congress to repeal the Affordable Care Act that guarantees access to affordable healthcare.

I want in on some of that “affordable healthcare” supposedly guaranteed by the Affordable Care Act, because my insurnace has gone up by 300%. I digress…

If many white pastors reminded their congregants that Jesus spent most of his ministry healing people who were sick and poor and did so without charging anything – let alone requiring a co-pay – I suspect that would have been newsworthy. I don’t recall seeing news reports that white clergy suggested that efforts to dismantle a system of affordable health care don’t square with the gospel accounts of the healing ministry of Jesus.

Apparently, pastor Griffen is pro-slavery. He thinks one man can demand the labor, goods and services of another man. White evangelicals aren’t against theft or slavery because they’re white, but because they’re evangelicals. Demanding to have someone else pay for your medical treatment is theft. It is sinful. It is wrong. Socialism violates the 8th Commandment. Jesus gave what he had to offer. He did not steal from one man to give to another.

And again…

At the same time, I’m watching to see if white people who attend evangelical churches across the nation will vote the way they did in 2016. I’m watching for signs that white people who call themselves evangelical followers of Jesus will turn away from the hateful, fear-mongering, bellicose, power-driven dishonesty of President Trump and his political cronies. I’m watching for signs of repentance from white evangelical voters.

Yes. We will vote the same way we did in 2016. We will vote that way because it’s still wrong to murder black babies and white babies and red babies and whatever other colors of babies I’m not supposed to say because it’s politically incorrect. Unless infanticide somehow became acceptable to God, you can bet your bottom dollar that all evangelicals will vote the way they did in 2018. It’s not that “black evangelicals” vote differently, it’s that they’re not really evangelical at all. I would highly doubt that Wendell Griffen even knows what the evangel of evangelism is. He probably thinks the Good News is about spaying cats, teaching dolphins to read and saving the rainforest.

I join others who question whether white evangelicals are followers of Jesus at all. They often seem to confuse the gospel of Jesus with white supremacy and notions of a U.S. empire. White religious nationalism is heresy to the gospel of Jesus, not faithfulness to it.

I join others who question whether black evangelicals are followers of Jesus at all.

What, should I not have said that? Was that racist? Is it wrong to say something like that?

In reality, I don’t question whether or not black evangelicals are followers of Jesus. That would be racist. I do question whether or not Democrats are followers of Jesus, regardless of their skin color. I think the pretty obvious answer to that is no. Your party platform can’t be basically a list of reason why people go to hell (murder, theft, homosexuality, etc) and expect the rest of us to take seriously your moral arguments about why you believe in slaughtering babies but saving murderers from death row. Evangelicals (black or white) don’t give a @#%#% about your fair-trade coffee so long as Planned Parenthood has turned the wombs of American women into more hostile environments than an Auschwitz oven.

So Tuesday night, I’ll watch election returns to see whether white people who call themselves evangelical followers of Jesus will, again, prove that they prize white supremacy above the inclusive and liberating gospel of divine grace, truth, justice and peace.  I’ll look for evidence that white people who claim to be followers of the Palestinian Jewish itinerant prophet and healer named Jesus are turning away from white religious nationalism. I’ll be watching and hoping for signs of white evangelical repentance. I don’t expect that election results tomorrow will support my hope.

Whitey votes Republican. Honky votes conservative. Those slices of wonderbread jive turkeys are white devils.

White. White. White. White. Black. Black. Black. Black. Geez. Who has the race-fixation here? Who’s caught up on skin color? Who’s the racist? I’m thinking it’s the guy who throws the skin color he clearly doesn’t like into every sentence.

Voting Democratic is not “repentance.” In most cases, in most elections, with most binary choices (exceptions notwithstanding) it is a sin against a righteous God to cast your vote in a way that will perpetuate the murder of human beings or the theft of private property. In short, if given a choice between two people and one doesn’t have baby blood down their tie like a bib, vote for that one. This precludes most Democrats from the Christian vote from the onset.

It’s not about race. It’s about morality. While it’s unlikely God is a Republican, I’m pretty positive Satan is a Democrat.

Jesus rode a donkey. But not that kind…

Ex-SEAL’s hammering of CNN’s Don Lemon goes viral

Ephraim Mattos (YouTube screenshot)

A former Navy SEAL, Ephraim Mattos fought the Taliban and ISIS, and later returned as a volunteer to help civilians in war zones, getting shot by ISIS soldiers in the process.

So when CNN host Don Lemon declared last week that “the biggest terror threat in this country is white men,” Mattos had something to say.

After all he’s gone through, Mattos wrote in a statement spotlighted by BizPacReview, he’s “now returned home to the USA where a CNN host has labeled me as a radicalized right wing terrorist simply because of my gender and the color of my skin.”

“If CNN does not fire Don Lemon immediately, it only goes to show that they are truly the ‘enemy of the people,’” he wrote.

Mattos made it clear he identifies himself as “simply ‘American,’ not as ‘white’ or ‘male’ or ‘Republican.’”

“After surviving three wars, a gunshot wound, a near fatal drowning, a failed parachute, Taliban ambushes, ISIS snipers, mortars, mine-fields, suicide bombers and laying down my life for the cause of freedom while fighting shoulder-to-shoulder with my brother Arabs, Asians, Blacks, Hispanics, Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Animists, and Atheists, I have now returned home to the USA where a CNN host has labeled me as a radicalized right wing terrorist simply because of my gender and the color of my skin,” Mattos wrote.

His response to Lemon went viral on Twitter, with reactions such as “God Bless Ephraim Mattos! I can’t imagine a better response, or a better man to make it. And I can’t imagine a smaller ‘man’ than the one who made the incendiary remarks.”

Another Twitter user wrote: “That was very powerful and moving regardless of party.

The former Navy SEAL said his “forefathers are the 3% who founded this Republic against the might of the British Army.”

“It was white Conservative men who died by the tens of thousands after charging into our southern states to free our black brothers from the slavery imposed on them by the Liberal left,” he wrote.

“We were the ones who acknowledged that women have a right to vote. We held the line in WWI and charged the beaches of Normandy in WWII. We have fought for freedom and liberty for generations and we continue to do so today alongside all of our brothers and sisters regardless of their race or religion.”

Mattos said Lemon is “the true face of the Democratic Party.”

“First they enslaved and killed blacks, and now they use them to spew hatred and lies against the very people who have fought for generations to free them and uplift them,” he said of Democrats.

“Remember that when you go to vote.”

He warned that “identity politics does not lead to freedom.”

“It only leads to hatred and division and an ‘us vs. them’ mentality.”

Mattos co-authored the new book “City of Death: Humanitarian Warriors in the Battle of Mosul.”

‘Cold hard facts’

Lemon was speaking with CNN anchor Chris Cuomo on Tuesday in the wake of the mail bombs sent to Democratic leaders and the deadly attack on a synagogue in Pittsburgh when he said the “biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most are radicalized to the right.”

His comment drew rebukes from a broad spectrum of commentators while CNN remained silent.

On Wednesday, however, Lemon doubled down, insisting the “cold hard facts” were on his side.

“Earlier this week, I made some comments about that in a conversation with Chris [Cuomo]. I said that the biggest terror threat in this country comes from radicals on the far right, primarily white men,” he said.

“That angered some people. But let’s put emotion aside and look at the cold hard facts. The evidence is overwhelming,” he claimed, according to the Hill.

Lemon cited a Government Accountability Office report saying that since the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks, right-wing extremists have killed 106 people in 62 different attacks in U.S., while Islamic extremists have killed 119 people in 23 different attacks.

Lemon pointed to another finding “that for every eight deadly attacks by right-wing extremists,” there was one by left-wing extremists.

“So people who were angered about what I said are missing the entire point. We don’t need to worry about people who are thousands of miles away. The biggest threats are homegrown. The facts prove that,” Lemon claimed.

On Tuesday, the Gateway Pundit blog urged Lemon to read the long list of terror attacks in America by Muslims posted on his own network’s news website.

See Lemon’s comments:

“The only attack in this list by CNN that did not involve Islamist killers is the August 2017 attack in Charlottesville where one protester was killed at a Unite the Right rally,” the Gateway Pundit said.

“Every other terrorist attack involves radical Islam.”

Among the attacks on the CNN list were the 1993 bombing of the 2 World Trade Center building, the 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta, the 9/11 attacks, the Boston Marathon bombing, the attack on a Marine recruiting center in 2015 and the massacres in San Bernardino and Orlando.

November 5 A Good Soldier

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 2:3

Courage, conviction, and integrity are respectable qualities from a secular viewpoint, yet it is essential that they be manifested in the life of every Christian. That’s because the name “Christian” identifies us with Christ, who never compromised or deviated from the truth. He is the perfect example of courageous integrity.

It stands to reason, then, that we are called to be stable and steadfast like Christ and not waver (James 1:6). Injunctions to stand firm (Eph. 6:11, 13–14) and be strong (1 Cor. 16:13; 2 Tim. 2:1) affirm that we are to be bold and uncompromising in living for Jesus Christ.

Most of us earnestly desire to stand firm and not stumble in our Christian walk. None of us wants to be crushed under the weight of life’s trials or be defeated by the onslaught from the world, the flesh, and the devil. But we must realize that standing firm and being strong isn’t easy because we are engaged in spiritual warfare (2 Tim. 2:3–4). We have to be prepared to “endure hardship” along the way—as a “good soldier” of faith.[1]

Breakingviews – Brazil’s Bolsonaro gives China electric shock

Oprah stumps for evil while Trump stands for good

The Democrat Party is evil. They are worse today than ever before – worse than during slavery, Jim Crow, lynch mobs, or the heyday of the KKK. Most people don’t realize we are in a spiritual battle of right versus wrong, good versus evil. There are people of all cultures, male and female, on the side of good. And there are men and women of all races, all cultures, on the side of evil.

What If We Listened To The ‘Progressive’ Christians?

Had we followed the advice of these leaders: 1) there would be almost no chance of overturning Roe v. Wade for another generation; 2) our religious freedoms would continue to evaporate; 3) our children would be forced to endure an increasingly aggressive LGBT agenda in their schools; 4) there would be less and less pushback to the intimidating, silencing tactics of the left. (This is just a short list of the most obvious concerns.) “It’s ironic that ‘progressive’ Christians blast evangelicals who voted for Trump, calling us hypocrites. Yet they support pro-abortion candidates, they support radical LGBT activism, and they often stand against Israel. Perhaps this is the pot calling the kettle black?”

Trump Begins New Iran Sanctions for Non-Compliance With Nuke Deal

The second round of American sanctions on Iran will take effect on Nov. 5 at 12:01 a.m., the Trump administration announced on Friday. That’s been the plan since U.S. President Donald Trump withdrew the United States in May from the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), commonly known as the Iran nuclear deal, which lifted those sanctions. The upcoming round will include targeting Iran’s “energy, shipping and the ship-building sectors, as well as the provision of insurance and transactions involving the Central Bank of Iran and designated Iranian financial institutions,” said State Department spokesperson Rob Palladino on Wednesday.

American Jewry’s False Prophets

Between a quarter and 30% of American Jews voted for Trump. A quarter of American Jews intend to vote Republican in next week’s election. Foer wants them all to be ostracized because, he says, they are dangerous. Taken to its logical conclusion, Foer’s statement was also a declaration of war against the Jews of Israel. For as much as Foer and his totalitarian comrades hate Trump, Israeli Jews support him. More than 75% of Israeli Jews consider Trump a great friend.

Hollywood Raises $60 Million to Support the IDF

Perhaps its a sign of the times, when support for the “Palestinian cause” is waning, that the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) raised more money than ever before at its annual Western Region Gala last week. The Western Region Gala naturally encompasses Hollywood, where, despite its overtly liberal veneer, the Israeli military has many supporters.

The border issue is the main barrier to progress between the two sides.

Iran sanctions: Rouhani defiant as US re-imposes measures

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has vowed to “break” swingeing sanctions re-imposed by the US targeting core parts of the economy. The Trump administration is restoring all sanctions lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal in a bid to pressure Iran. They will hit oil exports, shipping and banks, and make it difficult to do business with the oil-rich nation.

Charles E. Grassley, chairman of the Judiciary Committee revealed the fraud in a letter to the FBI and Justice Department Friday, asking them to prosecute Judy Munro-Leighton for lying to and obstructing Congress.

Fox News and NBC Cave, Pull Trump Caravan Ad After Major Backlash — The Gateway Pundit

Fox News and Fox Business pulled Trump’s caravan ad after a huge backlash from critics who decried the 30-second video as “racist.”

First CNN refused to air the caravan ad and lectured Donald Trump Jr. after he took a swipe at CNN for refusing to show the real threats to the US.

Fox News has now joined CNN after it caved to pressure.

In a statement to Mediaite, Fox News ad sales president Marianne Gambelli said, “Upon further review, Fox News pulled the ad yesterday and it will not appear on either Fox News Channel or Fox Business Network.”

The ad focuses on the migrant caravan marching towards our border and features cop killer Luis Bracamontes, who was deported twice and snuck back in, murdered two police officers and was seen laughing in court about his crimes.

“The migrant caravan must be stopped,” the narrator of Trump’s caravan ad says after it shows cop-killer Luis Bracamontes lamenting he should have murdered more officers.

President Trump wants to secure our borders and keep Americans safe–this is now considered “racist” by the left and mainstream media.

President Trump also ran this stunning ad on NBC during Sunday night football and the left went ballistic.

NBC caved and pulled the caravan ad as well.

Mediaite reported that after a backlash, which included far-left actress Debra Messing, whose show Will & Grace airs on NBC — the network said it was pulling the ad from the air.

Fox’s announcement came shortly after NBC’s statement on the ad, said Mediaite.

This type of censorship is another reason why Americans flock to alternative media and social media for real news, however; the tech tyrants are doing everything they can to shut down conservative voices across social media as well.

President Trump’s 2020 Campaign Chair Brad Parscale slammed the networks and tech giants for censoring the caravan ad.

“So, @NBCNews @CNN @facebook have chosen to stand with those ILLEGALLY IN THIS COUNTRY. Instead of standing with LEGAL IMMIGRANTS and those that follow our laws. The #FakeNewsMedia and #PaloAltoMafia are trying to control what you see and how you think. STOP THE CARAVAN!” Brad Parscale said in a tweet Monday.

This is reportedly the third wave of illegals marching to the US border.

According to Conservative Treehouse the translated caption reads: “CENTRAL AMERICAN BROTHERS CROSS THE SUICHATE. Fleeing from poverty and violence, Central Americans make the third crossing to Mexico in caravan to the vain mirage of the “American dream.” Let us be in solidarity with your passage through our country.”

November 5, 2018 Afternoon Verse Of The Day

6:5. The faith statement of the Shema is followed up by the charge to love the Lord your God, implying complete devotion to Him and not just emotional attraction. Moses’ sense of love is to express loyalty to Him with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. The whole person is to express this loyal devotion to God. The heart was generally associated in Hebrew thinking with the mind, the soul denoted the innermost being or emotions, and might refers to doing the previous two injunctions exceedingly (lit., “very, very much”). The repetition of the word “all” shows that Israel’s commitment to the Lord was to be undivided and complete.[1]

6:5. To love the Lord means to choose Him for an intimate relationship and to obey His commands. This command, to love Him, is given often in Deuteronomy (v. 5; 7:9; 10:12; 11:1, 13, 22; 13:3; 19:9; 30:6, 16, 20). Loving Him was to be wholehearted (with all your heart) and was to pervade every aspect of an Israelite’s being and life (soul and strength).[2]

6:5 — “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.”

Of all God’s commandments, this is the central and most important one. When we love God first and foremost, obedience follows as a natural result and ceases to be a chore (John 14:15; 1 John 5:3).[3]

6:5 love. See 4:37. all. That the Lord alone is Israel’s God leads to the demand for Israel’s exclusive and total devotion to him. heart … soul … might. All Israelites in their total being are to love the Lord; “this is the great and first commandment” (Matt. 22:38). In Matt. 22:37, Mark 12:30, and Luke 10:27, Jesus also includes “mind.” In early Hebrew, “heart” included what we call the “mind”. “Might” indicates energy and ability.

6:5 Love for God is the greatest commandment (Matt. 22:37–38). One’s relation to God himself is central to life, and true love for God and reconciliation to God are possible only in Christ (John 14:6; Rom. 5:1–10).[4]

6:5 you shall love The command is not a demand to manufacture false emotion but to cultivate a disposition (see Lev 19:17–18).

with all of your heart and with all of your soul The Hebrew terms levav (often translated “heart”) and nephesh (often translated “soul”) do not refer to separate components of the human person. Rather, the terms overlap in meaning, conveying the internal life, dispositions, emotions, and intellect.

might The Hebrew word here is not a noun but an adverb meaning “exceedingly.” This description of love of Yahweh thus implies totality: as Yahweh is undivided unity and alone worthy of worship, so the Israelites must have undivided loyalty to Him.[5]

6:5 all your might. The Hebrew expresses totality. For this reason the New Testament sometimes renders it with “mind and strength” (Mark 12:30). This is the language of devotion. God does not demand mere outward obedience to a law, but the heartfelt love and commitment of the whole person (Prov. 23:26).[6]

6:5 The principle of love is a major theme in Deuteronomy. In Luke 10:27 Jesus stressed love as the essence of pure religion, and elsewhere He referred to it as a kind of “eleventh commandment” (Matt. 22:34–40; John 13:34; cf. Rom. 13:10).[7]

Obama Campaigns with Fake Nurse in Final Chicago Rally — The Gateway Pundit

Democrats call Congressional candidate Lauren Underwood the “Naperville nurse running for Congress.”

Good Morning America ran a segment on ‘Nurse Lauren” and is promoting Lauren Underwood for Congress in Illinois’ 14th district.

GMA is also promoting ‘Nurse Underwood’ on their Facebook page in a video.

There’s just one problem.

Lauren is not a registered nurse in Illinois or any state.
She has never worked a day as a nurse in her life.

On Sunday Barack Obama held a small rally in Chicago in a final push to Get Out the Vote.

He stood with the fake nurse on stage.

Why should an independent voter vote Republican in the mid-terms?

After Trump tax cuts, real GDP growth far exceeds Obama years After Trump tax cuts, real GDP growth far exceeds Obama years

I have a friend in Canada who asks me about American politics. For some reason, the first things out of my mouth are always the latest scandals about Democrats. I am just getting started when she says “no, no, no… don’t tell me why I shouldn’t vote Democrat. Tell me why I should vote Republican.” Well, there are three good reasons to vote Republican. Job creation, law and order, national security.

Let’s look at the first one. The latest economic numbers came in last week, and they were very good for the country, and for the Republicans.

The Washington Post reported on the numbers:

Hiring surged and wages grew more than they have in almost a decade, the government said Friday in a report seized on by Republicans just before the midterm elections as evidence their policies are delivering…

November 5 Living a Fulfilled Life

“Fear God and keep His commandments.”

Ecclesiastes 12:13

Living life apart from God is futile.

The Book of Ecclesiastes is greatly misunderstood. It is a difficult book to read simply because it is hard to understand. Everything in it appears wrong and as if it doesn’t fit with the rest of Scripture. But it is part of the Old Testament wisdom literature because it is a statement of human wisdom. Ecclesiastes tells us how man perceives his world, God, and the realities of life.

Most scholars believe Ecclesiastes was penned by Solomon. They debate whether he wrote it before he was a true believer or after. He may have written it in retrospect, or he may have penned it sometime before he had a full understanding of the life–changing truth of God.

Ecclesiastes is a fascinating book because it reveals the folly, uselessness, senselessness, and frustration of human wisdom—that which James calls “earthly, natural, demonic” (James 3:15). In Ecclesiastes 1:16 Solomon says to himself, “Behold, I have magnified and increased wisdom more than all who were over Jerusalem before me.” That verse shows me that when God initially gave Solomon wisdom, He gave it to him on a human level. He gave Solomon wisdom to make successful decisions and judgments as king. But although divine wisdom was available to him, I believe Solomon opted for human wisdom the greater portion of his life. And that wisdom was never able to answer his ultimate questions.

The sum of Solomon’s perspective on human wisdom is in Ecclesiastes 4:2–3: “I congratulated the dead who are already dead more than the living who are still living. But better off than both of them is the one who has never existed.” That’s a death wish and is the logical end of worldly wisdom—futility.

Fortunately, Solomon did eventually embrace true wisdom. At the end of his book, he said, “The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person” (12:13). What then can satisfy your heart and make life worth living? The wisdom of God alone.

Suggestions for Prayer: Ask God to help you follow His ways for a blessed and fulfilled life.

For Further Study: Read Proverbs 3:13–26, noting how the benefits of true wisdom are in contrast to what Solomon experienced.[1]

LOUIS FARRAKHAN Leads Chants of “Death to America!” in Tehran — Refers to America as “Great Satan” (VIDEO) — The Gateway Pundit

Democrat Party favorite and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan traveled to Iran this past week for meetings with regime leaders.

Farrahkan led chants of “Death to America!” on Sunday during his visit with Iranian leaders.

Farrakhan also referred to America as the Great Satan during a Tehran University speech.

Algemeiner reported:

Nation of Islam leader and prominent antisemite Louis Farrakhan chanted “Death to America” and claimed that “America has never been a democracy” on Sunday during a solidarity trip to Iran, ahead of the re-implementation of US sanctions on the country this week.

According to Iran’s semi-official state news agency Mehr, Farrakhan said at a meeting with the Secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei that America is conspiring against Iran.

“I understand how the enemies have plotted against the Iranian people and I would like to stay alongside you to stop their plots,” he said.

He also blasted American support for Saudi Arabia, Iran’s arch-rival in the region, and added, “Satan seeks to divide Muslims and wants them to kill each other, while God tells us in the Quran to be united.”

The anti-Semite Farrakhan is frequently pictured with US Democrats.
