DECEMBER 2 WE WERE MADE TO WORSHIP

Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

—Jeremiah 2:5

Now we were made to worship, but the Scriptures tell us something else again. They tell us that man fell and kept not his first estate; that he forfeited the original glory of God and failed to fulfill the creative purpose, so that he is not worshiping now in the way that God meant him to worship. All else fulfills its design; flowers are still fragrant and lilies are still beautiful and the bees still search for nectar amongst the flowers; the birds still sing with their thousand-voice choir on a summer’s day, and the sun and the moon and the stars all move on their rounds doing the will of God.

And from what we can learn from the Scriptures we believe that the seraphim and cherubim and powers and dominions are still fulfilling their design—worshiping God who created them and breathed into them the breath of life. Man alone sulks in his cave. Man alone, with all of his brilliant intelligence, with all of his amazing, indescribable and wonderful equipment, still sulks in his cave. He is either silent, or if he opens his mouth at all, it is to boast and threaten and curse; or it’s nervous ill-considered laughter, or it’s humor become big business, or it’s songs without joy. WMJ006-007

Lord, somehow do today the much-needed work of bringing us out of our caves that we might be drawn to once again do what we were created to do. Amen. [1]

“We Are Losing Too Many Americans”: Drug Overdose Deaths Spike, Life-Expectancy Tumbles

American drug overdose deaths surged above 70,000 in 2017, a 10% jump to a new record as life expectancy across the country plunged for the second time in three yearsaccording to a government report out Thursday.

CDC Director Robert Redfield said the data was deeply “troubling.”

“Life expectancy gives us a snapshot of the Nation’s overall health and these sobering statistics are a wakeup call that we are losing too many Americans, too early and too often, to conditions that are preventable,” Redfield said in a statement Thursday, adding that the decline in overall life expectancy is linked to the accelerated rise in deaths from drug overdose and suicide.

Suicide rates moved higher, by about 3.7%. Together, these two causes of death decreased US life expectancy for the second year in a row, the CDC reported. As shown in the graphic below, most of the drug overdoses are occurring in deindustrialized regions of the country, including Rust Belt states and parts of the Mid Atlantic and North East.

Age-adjusted drug overdose death rates, by state: US, 2017

Overall life expectancy for Americans was 78.6 years in 2017, a reduction of 0.1 years. While the drop might not seem like much, life expectancy tends to rise, not reverse, which suggests the continuation of decay within the middle class.

The death rates are driven by a 9.6% jump in drug overdose deaths, from 63,632 in 2016, to 70,237 in 2017. Most of the overdoses involved opioids and or opioid analogs.

Age-adjusted drug overdose rates: US, 1999-2007

“West Virginia (with 57.8 overdose deaths per 100,000 people), Ohio (46.3 overdose deaths per 100,000), Pennsylvania (44.3), and the District of Columbia (44 ) had the highest observed age-adjusted drug overdose death rates in 2017,” the CDC report states.

NBC notes the increase was not as significant as the 21% jump in drug overdose death rate between 2015 and 2016. But warns since President Trump labeled the opioid crisis a “health emergency,” with increased federal, state and local efforts, the epidemic continues to spiral out of control.

Suicide rates are another concern. “The suicide rate in the United States has increased from 10.4 suicides per 100,000 in 1999 to 14 (per 100,000) in 2017,” a second CDC report reads.

“Suicide rates have increased since 1999 for both males and females ages 10-74. Rates in the most rural U.S. counties are nearly two times higher than rates in the most urban counties.”

“This increase in the suicide rate is extremely discouraging,” said Dr. Christine Moutier of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. “Until we scale up intervention efforts at the community, state and national levels, we will likely continue to see an increase in suicides in the United States.”

Age-adjusted death rates for the 10 leading cause of death: US, 2016 and 2017

The case can be made that, contrary to the administration’s claims of “the greatest economy ever,” the American economy is not quite that robust. The record levels of drug overdoses, elevated suicide rates, and life expectancy declines show that something is seriously wrong just below the surface of the otherwise strong economy.

To: Lauren Daigle Re: Sin/Homosexuality — Pulpit & Pen

Dear Lauren,

As I understand it you are a recording artist that is a Christian who sometimes sings songs of a religious nature.  You even have a new “Christian” album that recently debuted.  I saw that you caught some flack for going on the Ellen DeGeneres’ show and singing a song about the Lord.  Your doing so caused some bit of controversy because Ellen very publically engages in the sin of homosexuality.  You were recently asked if you thought homosexuality was a sin.   Here’s what you had to say:

“I can’t say one way or the other, I’m not God. When people ask questions like that, I just say, ‘Read the Bible and find out for yourself. And when you find out let me know because I’m learning too,’” she added.

Well, I am not God.  I am truly (not almost) human. I can, however, say whether not something is a sin. In fact, Jesus Himself (who is truly God and truly human) instructed me to do so.  He said:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Homosexuality is a sin.  You don’t have to be God to say so. You just have to know His word. So, having read the Bible, I am fulfilling your request to let you know (and wondering why your pastor and church haven’t told you).  I want to remind you of another statement you made when asked if homosexuality was a sin:

“I can’t honestly answer on that, in the sense of I have too many people that I love and they are homosexuals.”

Everyone you love is a sinner, Lauren, every last one of them.  If you love them then you will do your Christian duty and call them to repent of their sin.  It was out of love that God sent his precious son Jesus to die on the cross.  Jesus died on the cross so that people who believe in Him could be reconciled to His Father.  The loving reaction to sin, for you, is to call people to repent of it.  If you love your (homosexual) friends you will ask them to turn from their sins and turn towards Jesus.  If no one tells them they are in sin, how will they even know that they need to turn?

Sincerely,

Seth Dunn

Sunday’s Hymn: Comfort, Comfort Ye My People — Rebecca Writes

Comfort, comfort ye my people,
Speak ye peace, thus saith our God;
Comfort those who sit in darkness,
Mourning ‘neath their sorrow’s load.
Speak ye to Jerusalem
Of the peace that waits for them;
Tell her that her sins I cover,
And her warfare now is over.

Yea, her sins our God will pardon,
Blotting out each dark misdeed;
All that well deserved his anger
He no more will see or heed.
She hath suffered many a day
Now her griefs have passed away;
God will change her pining sadness
Into ever-springing gladness.

For the herald’s voice is crying
In the desert far and near,
Bidding all men to repentance,
Since the kingdom now is here.
O that warning cry obey!
Now prepare for God a way;
Let the valleys rise to meet him,
And the hills bow down to greet him.

Make ye straight what long was crooked,
Make the rougher places plain;
Let your hearts be true and humble,
As befits his holy reign.
For the glory of the Lord
Now o’er earth is shed abroad;
And all flesh shall see the token,
That his word is never broken.

—Johannes G. Olearius

Lord’s Day 48, 2018 — The Thirsty Theologian

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”

And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within; and day and night they do not cease to say,

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come.”

And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, to Him who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

“Worthy are you, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for you created all things, and because of your will they existed, and were created.”

—Revelation 4:8–11

Hymn VII.
Thy kingdom come.

O when shall we, supremely blest,
Enter into our glorious rest
Partake the triumphs of the sky,
And, holy, holy, holy, cry!

With all thy heav’nly hosts, with all
Thy blessed saints, we then shall fall;
And sing in extacy unknown,
And praise thee on thy dazzling throne.

Honour, and majesty, and pow’r,
And thanks and blessings evermore;
Who dost through endless ages live,
Thou, Lord, art worthy to receive.

For thou hast bid the creatures be,
And still subsist to pleasure thee;
From thee they came, to thee they tend,
Their gracious source, their glorious end!

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Please don’t miss worshiping with your local congregation
if you can possibly help it.

December 2 The Rejoicing Apostle

My brethren, rejoice in the Lord.

Philippians 3:1

The apostle Paul’s joy was unrelated to his circumstances. If it had been tied to pleasures on earth, possessions, freedom, prestige, outward success, or a good reputation, he wouldn’t have had any joy.

Paul’s joy was centered on his ministry and was indifferent toward all other things. That’s why he could tell the Philippians, “I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you with all joy” (Phil. 1:3–4). He had joy in spite of trouble, as long as Christ’s cause was advanced. He had joy in spite of detractors, as long as Christ’s name was proclaimed. He had joy in spite of death, as long as Christ was exalted. And he had joy in spite of the flesh, as long as Christ’s church was assisted.[1]

LGBT advocates now routinely subjecting children to sexual abuse and “gender fluid” brainwashing in latest escalation of gender cultism – The Trumpet Online

(Natural News) Buoyed by relentless virtue signaling and a cult-like desire for popular conformity, LGBT activism has now morphed into the blatant sexual abuse of childrenwith “gender fluid” brainwashing and “trans worship.”

Yes, the insane Left is now targeting children for their sexualization and transgender indoctrination. No child is safe as long as Leftists get to define what’s “acceptable” in popular culture.

Demonstrating the child abuse that’s now celebrated by the virtual signaling Left, Good Morning America recently hosted a transgender child who was worshiped like a queen (pun intended) during the propaganda broadcast. Known as “Desmond is Amazing,” this trans child has no idea he is being used by adults in a twisted sexualization LGBT scheme that seeks to dress up dress up young males like female whores and parade them around to fulfill the bizarre pedophilia sex fantasies of adult Leftists.

This incredible mental child abuse is applauded as “heroic” and “courageous,” while obedient Leftists virtue signal with their own applause, watching a human child be indoctrinated into a sick, twisted left-wing cult of pedophilia and perversion:

Yes, this is America… A parade of mental illness indoctrinating children into deviant sex expression:

The left-wing audience obediently applauds, since no one dare say the Emperor wears no clothes:

What you are witnessing here is no longer the fringe Left… it’s daytime television programming for mainstream America. Anyone who opposes this sick sexualization of children is immediately branded “transphobic” and is permanently silenced on all technology platforms.

Even those who decry the routine genital mutilation of little girls are now silenced and banned. According to the Left, you must love mutilating the genitals of young girls, and you must adore the transgender sexualization of young boys.

If you don’t love the maiming of the genitalia of little girls — and the sexualization abuse of little boys — you are branded “intolerant” and labeled someone who spouts “hate speech.”

Yes, this is the new America run by child abusing Leftists. Oh, and to top it off, those same deranged Leftists also hate America, reject the rule of law, steal elections, despise the Constitution and want the country to be overrun by murderous, raping illegals who are fleeing criminal prosecution in their home countries.

Any questions?

AFA Releases 2018 ‘Naughty or Nice’ List of Which Retailers Use ‘Christmas’ in Advertising

(CNSNews.com) – A conservative pro-family group has compiled its annual “Naughty or Nice” list of retailers evaluated on whether they use the word “Christmas” in their advertising.

The American Family Association (AFA) evaluated five areas to decide whether a retailer is ‘Christmas-friendly” in its advertising: “print media (newspaper inserts), broadcast media (radio/television), website, social media (Facebook, Twitter), and/or personal visits to the store.”

“If a company has items associated with Christmas, but did not use the word ‘Christmas,’ then the company is considered as censoring ‘Christmas,’” the AFA said on its website.

On AFA’s “naughty” list are: Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Family Dollar, Foot Locker, Gap, Inc., The Limited, Maurice’s, Nordstrom, Office Depot, Office Max, Old Navy, Pet Smart, Staples, Stein Mart, Supervalu, UncommonGoods.com, Victoria’s Secret, and Walgreens.

Some retailers on the naughty list are described as such: “Company refers to Christmas infrequently, or in a single advertising medium, but not in others.” Those retailers are Best Buy, Old Navy, UncommonGoods.com, and Walgreens.

For retailers Barnes & Noble, Foot Locker, Gap, The Limited, Maurice’s, Nordstrom, Office Depot, Office Max, Pet Smart, Staples, Steinmart, Supervalu, and Victoria’s Secret, the AFA states, “Company may use ‘Christmas’ sparingly in a single or unique product description, but as a company, does not recognize it.”

Family Dollar is the only retailer currently on the “naughty” list that was called out specifically for opening on Christmas Day.

“Family Dollar shamelessly opens their stores on Christmas morning, showing they think more of the dollar than the family,” the AFA states on its website.

Categorized as “marginal” are: Academy Sports + Outdoors, Amazon.com, CVS Pharmacy, Dollar General, Kohl’s, Safeway, Sears, and Starbucks.

Academy Sports + Outdoors, CVS Pharmacy, Dollar General, Kohl’s, Safeway, Sears, and Starbucks are described as: “Company refers to Christmas infrequently, or in a single advertising medium, but not in others.”

Amazon.com is characterized as marginal and described as such: “Company may use ‘Christmas’ sparingly in a single or unique product description, but as a company, does not recognize it.”

And featured on the “nice” list are: 1-800-Flowers.com, Ace Hardware, AFA Online Store, Banana Republic, Bass Pro Shops, Bath & Body Works, Bed Bath & Beyond, Belk, Big Lots, Books-A-Million, Cabela’s, Cracker Barrel, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Dillards, Do-It-Best Hardware, Dollar Tree, Fred’s, H.E.B. Stores, HSN.com, Hallmark, Harbor Freight, Harris Teeter Stores, Hobby Lobby, Home Depot, Hy-Vee Stores, JCPenney, JoAnn Fabrics, Kirkland’s, Kmart, Kroger, L.L. Bean, Lowe’s, Macy’s, Marshalls, Meijer, Menard’s, Michael’s Stores, Neiman Marcus, Pier One Imports, ProFlowers.com, Publix, QVC.com, Rite Aid, Sam’s Club, Scheels Sporting Goods, Super D Drug, TJ Maxx, Toys R Us, True Value, Wal-Mart, and Zappos.com.

Suicides, Overdoses And Diabetes: US Life Expectancy Falls For 3rd Straight Year | Zero Hedge

“Tragically, this trend is largely driven by deaths from drug overdose and suicide. This is a wakeup call. We are losing too many Americans…”

During a year when drug overdose deaths jumped to a record high 72,000 – roughly one every seven minutes – it’s probably not surprising that overall life expectancy for Americans declined for the third straight year in 2017. But according to data from the CDC, drugs weren’t the only factor at play: Deaths from suicide, the flu, diabetes and many other causes also increased.

In 2017, US life expectancy at birth for the total population declined by 0.1 to 78.6 years for the total U.S. population. The drop in overall rates was driven by an increase in deaths for men (who are more likely to die of drug overdoses and suicide), with their life expectancy dropping by 0.1 to 76.1, while life expectancy for women was steady at 81.1. The spread between life expectancy for men and women also widened (in the women’s favor) by 0.1 to 4.9 years.

As more baby boomers die off, some might assume that the increase in rates has been driven by demographics, but this simply isn’t accurate. Because even when adjusted for age (which should filter out most of the impact from the aging US population), mortality rates increased by 0.4% from 728.8 per 100,000 standard population in 2016 to 731.9 in 2017. White men and white women were responsible for most of the increase, with the age adjusted mortality rate for men climbing 0.6% while the rate for women climbed 0.9%. But the rise in mortality rates for white women was offset by a 0.8% decline in rates for black women.

But by far the most significant increase for a given demographic group was the 2.9% rise for all Americans between the ages of 25 and 34,which more than offset a 1% drop for Americans aged 45-55.

The 10 leading causes of death – heart disease, cancer, unintentional injuries, chronic lower respiratory diseases, stroke, Alzheimer disease, diabetes, influenza and pneumonia, kidney disease, and suicide – were unchanged from 2016 (these are ranked by number). These accounted for 74% of all deaths last year. But when adjusted for age, the data showed that more Americans are dying at younger ages from nearly all of the causes above – with the biggest jump seen in the age-adjusted rate for suicides (up a staggering 3.7%).

Meanwhile, rates of infant mortality declined slightly, but were not statistically significant (the US continues to struggle with one of the highest infant mortality rate in the developed world).

Overall, a total of 2,813,503 Americans died last year – 69,255 more than in 2016.

In a series of tweets published after the CDC released its report, the organization’s director said it is committed to “putting science into action” to ensure all Americans live longer, healthier lives.

Life expectancy rates are so broad that most Americans who see these headlines probably don’t realize that falling life expectancy rates can affect their lives in myriad ways that might not be immediately obvious. Take the Dow, for example: The last time US life expectancy declined for 2+ years was in 1963 – right around the beginning of a secular bear market that lasted for more than a decade.

“Burnt Beyond Recognition”: Extremist Persecution of Christians, August 2018

“The non-implementation of the law has brought us a gang of hardliners who have become above the law.” — Human rights activist, World Watch Monitor, Egypt.

Turkey’s government has kept the Christian Orthodox theological school (Halki Seminary) shut for 47 years, while the Orthodox Church waits to be allowed to reopen it. Recently, Turkish authorities declared that a major Islamic Education Center will be built right next to the closed Christian building. (Darwinek/Wikimedia Commons)

Christians Burned Alive and Churches Torched

Ethiopia: Approximately 15 Christian priests were killed—at least four burned alive—and 19 churches torched during Muslim uprisings in the east, where most of the nation’s Muslim population, consisting of 33% of the population, is centered. “Similar tensions are bubbling under the surface in other parts of Oromia,” which is approximately 50% Muslim, said a local source. “We have even heard of places where Muslims had asked Christians to vacate the area. And though this call is veiled as ethnic rivalry by some media and observers, it is at its very core a religious matter.”

Nigeria: During one of eight raids on Christian villages on August 28, Muslim Fulani herdsmen burned alive a Christian pastor, his wife, and three young children in their home; two other non-relatives were also killed in the raids. Armed with machetes and AK47 rifles, the Islamic raiders also looted and destroyed 95 houses and three churches. Gyang Adamu, one of the pastor’s surviving children who was away at the University of Jos at the time, “got to know about the attack when I saw a post on Facebook that Abonong village [his home], was under attack,” he said. When he finally got through to someone local, “the report I received was very devastating; I couldn’t believe that all my family members have been engulfed in the pogrom. On reaching home, I saw my daddy and younger ones burnt beyond recognition. The sight of the gory incident broke me down.”

Also in Nigeria, armed Muslims stormed a Baptist church around 1 am, shot its pastor dead, and kidnapped his wife. “The abductors said we need to pay them N5 million [equivalent to about $15,000 USD; 13,000 euros] before they can release her to us,” said one local source. “You can imagine that they now have the gut to walk into people’s home, kill and abduct and also have an effrontery to demand for ransom. Where and how can we get that money?”

Jihad on Christian Churches in Egypt

At attempted suicide attack against a Christian church just outside of Cairo was foiled on August 11, near the start of the Eid al-Adha holiday. After police denied the bomber entry, he died upon detonating an explosive belt near the church; two others were injured. The church had apparently been targeted that day because it was packed with hundreds of worshippers celebrating an annual holiday. It was later discovered that the jihadi cell responsible for the attack, which included two women, “had laced nails with poison to ensure that the blast would cause fatal injuries.” According to a local Christian teacher, “We are accustomed to this; that became the normal behavior at every feast or celebration, one terrorist trying to blow up a church or conduct violence like as an Eid gift.” Mina, a 22-year-old engineer, said, “Currently, I am no longer very interested in incidents, and all the talks are nothing, I look for chances to leave this state… I don’t belong here.”

Another eight churches were closed in one Egyptian province alone, Luxor, all of them “following attacks by Muslim villagers protesting against the church[es] being legally recognized,” said an August 29 report.

In one instance on August 22, while Christians were celebrating a feast day at the Virgin Mary Coptic Orthodox church, “A great deal of Muslim young men, aged 16-26, from our village and nearby gathered in front of our church building, shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ [Allah is greater] and chanting hostile slogans against Copts and the Church, such as ‘We don’t want a church in our Islamic village,'” recalled one church member. “They tried to break the front door … but we locked [it] from the inside. We immediately called the police who arrived and dispersed the demonstrators but they didn’t arrest anyone. They then closed the church building, sealed it and placed security guards with it.”

On August 25, in the village of Beni Suef, a Muslim “policeman tasked with guarding the church from extremists instead aggressively entered the churchand hurled insults at the congregation, calling them infidels,” says another report. “The other policemen reportedly remained outside of the church during the incident…” Ibrahim, a member of the church, said, “The Christian villagers are very distressed and want a strong stand from official persons.”

In another incident on Friday, August 31, Muslims assaulted Christians in al-Minya because they “objected to the presence of a church in the area”; three Christians were hospitalized.

Discussing these violent protests followed by illegal church closures, Gamil Ayed, a local Coptic lawyer, said what many Egyptian Christians think: “We haven’t heard that a mosque was closed down, or that prayer was stopped in it because it was unlicensed. Is that justice? Where is the equality? Where is the religious freedom? Where is the law? Where are the state institutions?” “The gathering of Muslims causing a shutdown of churches in the process of legalization is bullying—not only of the Copts but also of the state,” said another human rights activist. “The non-implementation of the law has brought us a gang of hardliners who have become above the law.”

Jihad on Christians in Pakistan

When Vicky Masih, a 35-year-old Christian man, met with Muslim acquaintances and asked them to repay a debt owed him on August 6, the day of his wedding anniversary, he was murdered. According to the report, “The claim for compensation triggered a discussion that soon degenerated into a violent clash. During the quarrel Muhammad Abbas, one of those present, opened fire. With his stomach pierced by bullets, Vicky begged for mercy, but the group continued to beat him ignoring his cries of pain. Eventually the Christian was abandoned agonizing on the street and the guilty parties fled.” “The police,” the victim’s brother said, “are conniving with the perpetrators, who are part of rich criminal families…. We want justice. We are poor and we do not have the strength to fight these thugs. We call upon all the people of God to help us and pray for the wife of Vicky and her three little children: now they are the most vulnerable and defenseless.”

In a separate incident, a Christian university student lost sight in one of his eyesduring an armed attack by Muslims on his Christian household. For months before the attack, neighborhood Muslims had been pressuring the Christian family—the only one on the street—to leave, by hounding the young children for being Christian. According to the head of the family, Alvin John, “Soon after the Muslims started harassing us, I had made up my mind that I would not let my children suffer in this environment. I was waiting for the 12-month rental agreement to finish so that we could relocate … and start afresh. I wish I had the financial means to leave that neighborhood earlier.” Then, on the night of August 28, Muslims surrounded their home, pelted it with stones and broke windows. “After the attackers left the scene, I told some neighbors who had gathered there that we were going to launch legal action and sought their assistance in the matter. However, around 11 p.m., some 30 armed Muslims attacked our house again, this time forcing their way into our home. Someone had informed them about our intention to approach the police, so they had come to ‘teach us a lesson.'” They beat the father and his two sons—blinding one in his left eye—as his wife and daughter “screamed in panic.” The “attackers also broke the furniture and ransacked our other belongings.”

On a separate occasion, Muslim mobs attacked and ransacked Christian homes after a 19 year-old Muslim woman went missing and her father, Muhammad Hanif, accused Waheed, the 22-year-old son of one of the Christian households, of eloping with her. “All the Muslim residents flared up and shouted at us, saying they would burn our houses and cut us into pieces,” said Waheed’s brother, Nasir. The “imam announced more than once on the loudspeaker that all Muslims should gather at the centre of the village, and ‘Don’t let even a single Christian live in the village.’ Following this, a large number of Muslims gathered and then attacked the houses of the Christians.” Despite insisting that they did not know where the Muslim woman went, “The mob took my mother and beat her publicly,” said Nasir, adding that most of the men, bonded laborers, were at work at the time. “Someone alerted the police, who rescued her from the mob but then took her into custody to pressure us to produce Waheed at the police station;” Nasir did. Eventually, the report noted, “Nabeela [the missing Muslim daughter] appeared in the magistrate’s court and requested to record a statement in which she submitted that she had run away to marry Muhammad Nazir Kashif—of her own freewill…. At this, the police released Waheed and his mother. But the police have not yet filed charges against the theft, ransacking and incitement to hate from the mosque loudspeaker…” Later, Nabeela filed an appeal saying that she was in fact abducted by Waheed and his brother, was repeatedly raped, but managed to escape. “These new charges are being used to pressurize Christians to withdraw their application seeking legal action against misuse of the mosque loudspeaker, and the theft and ransacking of our houses,” Nasir said. Even one police official admitted that “Nabeela has changed her statement so we are asking what statement she’s sticking to.”

In another incident, a group of Muslims thrashed Vishal Masih, an 18-year-old Christian, after he repeatedly defeated a Muslim teen at arm-wrestling on August 2. Angered for losing, the Muslim youth verbally abused Vishal and Christians as a whole: “How could a man of a dirty community defeat me? A Choora (Untouchable) defeats a Muslim is unbearable, I will teach him a lesson.” After the match, “while Vishal was on his way home, a gang of over a dozen young Muslims followed him and attacked. The gang brutally beat Vishal, attacked his family’s house, and beat his family members,” said the report. Then another Muslim gang attacked him. “[A]lthough Vishal survived the attack, it was as if they left him for dead. The gang then kidnapped the severely injured Vishal, locked him in a room at their residence, where they repeatedly beat him for the third time. After the assaults, Vishal was reportedly admitted to a hospital. His family is being pressured by influential Muslims to withdraw the case, otherwise they could be in more danger.”

Finally, “a charged mob of over 50 Muslim men … attacked” a group of Christians, including children, for trying to defend their church property. According to Bashir Masih, one of the victims,

“Ahmad, a local landlord carries a dispute with the local Christians over a piece of land for years…The lower court of Kasur has already issued ‘stay-order’ for the piece of land for both the parties … However, the Muslim family wanted to grab the church property using their social and religious pressure…. On August 2, 2018, Ahmad tried to cultivate a piece of land with a tractor which belongs to the church. The local Christians requested him not to violate court orders, however, Ahmad abused the Christians and passed derogatory remarks against [the] church, stating, ‘Building a church is nonsense.’… Within no time, Ahmad’s armed companions attacked the Christian men, women, and children with arms and sticks. They left two seriously injured and other with minor injuries. The mob stoned the under-construction church as well.”

The church, St. Matthews, which serves about 40 Catholic families, was built by the impoverished community’s own money. “When the Christians complained [to] the police about the attack, the police officials ordered them to keep quiet and avoid mentioning it as a religious issue… The police were unfair in the matter,” one of the locals said.

More Church Attacks

Uganda: After months of being pelted by stones hurled by local Muslims, a church finally shut its doors on Sunday, August 4. Then, a stone hurled through a window of Greater Love Church struck the pastor in the forehead and rendered her unconscious. Pastor Moreen Sanyu was delivering a sermon when the projectile broke through the window. “I fell down and became unconscious,” she said. “When I woke up, there were only a few members who surrounded me—the rest of the church members had fled in different directions.” No one came to the following Sunday worship service. Just outside Kampala, the nation’s capital, the church was in a predominantly Muslim area. Because some Muslims began to attend the church, other Muslims began to hurl stones at it: “We cannot watch our children joining infidels’ church,” explained a local sheikh. “The throwing of stones broke glass windows and destroyed a solar panel, and as well there was the uttering of abusive and threatening words to me and my church members,” the pastor said. Two months after its opening in May 2017, and due to the constant stoning, the congregation went from 400 to 150, until the August 4 incident, when membership dropped to zero. “I am not ready to lose my life by attending the church,” said one anonymous church member. “I need prayers and material support to relocate to another area at this trying moment,” said the pastor.

Nigeria: Christians are denied places of worship all throughout the Muslim-majority northern regions, even near and in supposedly progressive universities, said Catholic Bishop Matthew Kukah during a speech:

“As I’m talking here now, … Christians don’t have a place to worship after over 40 years of the existence of these universities and these are the areas where the intellectuals, those who are going to govern Nigeria, this is where they are…. Up till today, as I’m talking to you, you can’t find a single governor in northern Nigeria that will effortlessly sign a certificate of occupancy for the building of a church. Nowhere… Northern Nigeria is literally a closed book. And our inability to understand northern Nigeria collectively as a nation accounts for most of the crisis we still face in this country.”

Meanwhile, the education Muslim children receive in northern Nigeria perpetuates the animosity for Christian houses of worship, said the bishop:

“I have windows of my churches broken because young children are throwing stones at the cathedral. I had one of my parishioners went blind three years ago. His house was by the roadside. Children coming from Quranic studies threw stones to his house. I’m asking the question, what are these children being taught about the other person? This is a very serious crisis in northern Nigeria.”

Attacks on Apostates

Iran: A court sentenced twelve Christians, most of whom had apostatized from Islam, to one year in prison on the “charge of propaganda activities against the system and in favor of Zionist Christianity through holding house meetings, evangelism, and invitation to Christianity and inclination to the land of Christianity,” the August 11 report stated. Payam Kharaman, one of the convicted converts, said “the pressure and harassment of the security forces on me began in early 2012, and I was repeatedly summoned … and interrogated about evangelism and communication with abroad, and I always insisted on the belief in Christianity for myself and not for promotion of Christianity.” The accusation that Payam had an “Inclination to the land of Christianity” may be a reference to Israel, where Christianity was born, and its use indicates that court officials “were looking for the accused’s confession to communication with abroad, especially America, Britain and Israel, and this term has originated from this matter.” Another report adds that, “based on the cases we have been tracking, this is the first time this year that we’ve seen a jail sentence being given based on the charge of ‘inclination to the land of Christianity.’ This could be interpreted as a reference to Israel, the birthplace of Christianity and also a country that Iran has adopted a very aggressive stance towards.”

Separately, another convert to Christianity, Naser Navard Gol-Tapeh, inquired about the charge for which he was convicted: “Action against national security through the establishment of house churches.” On August, 2018, in an open letter to the Iranian court that sentenced him to ten years in prison, he asked, “is the fellowship of a few Christian brothers and sisters in someone’s home, singing worship songs, reading the Bible and worshiping God acting against national security? Isn’t it a clear violation of civil and human rights, and an absolute injustice to receive a ten-year prison sentence just for organizing ‘house churches…'” Iran is widely considered one of the top ten worst nations where Christians experience “extreme persecution.”

Central Asia: A Christian mother in Central Asia (name of exact country withheld for security reasons) was kicked out of her home by her Muslim husband for refusing to renounce Christ and return to Islam. Sameda, 23, converted to Christianity three years ago. Due to the lack of Christians in her area, she married Rashid, a moderate Muslim who was seemingly indifferent to her faith. “I married Rashid because he seemed to me to be a good man,” she explained. Initially, we were very happy until he became more interested in my faith. Certainly, I did not hide the fact that I am a Christian and told him that God touched my life one day. After these words, my husband seemed to change.” He eventually began pressuring her to return to Islam and beat her several times—including when she was five months pregnant. After giving birth to a baby girl, Rashid told her to return to the fold of Islam, or else. “My beloved husband, who always seemed so kind and caring; he kicked me out of his house with a month-old baby without any means of subsistence! People say that I am born as a Muslim [for being Asian] and should be this all my life. Now they call me a betrayer of the ‘pure religion and true prophet Muhammed,’ but how can I betray something or somebody I never knew and understood? Yes, I am a Christian, but also still an Asian woman.” Although Sameda and her baby moved in with her mother in a tight room— “authorities refused to give them a new flat with good conditions because they are Christians” says the report—her problems are not over. She could still lose her child in a divorce, as many Muslim nations give fathers custody of children—all the more so when the mother is infidel.

Indonesia: The Muslim children of an elderly and destitute widow ordered her out of their home for converting to Christianity. After losing her husband, Nurul, 68, went to live in a missionary home for widows and orphans; there, eventually, she embraced Christianity. Then, according to an August 3 report, “Nurul later received news that one of her children decided to take her in their home. At first she was happy to be reunited with her family members, but then her Muslim relatives found out about her Christian faith, and allowed her to stay with them for only three months.” “Because she became a Christian, no one cared for her and she had to go out from the community,” explained the director of the home for widows and orphans, which took Nurul back in.

Discrimination against and Abuse of Christians

Chad: “Christians in Chad are being intimidated and forced from public life, under new rules prioritizing Islam in violation of the North African country’s secular foundations,” noted a report. Among these laws is an Islamic “oath [that] is exclusive and reductive in its vision of the state and appears to be another way of excluding Christians from public responsibilities,” said one senior church source, speaking on condition of anonymity. Priority is now being given to officials who take the oath “in the name of Allah the all-powerful,” while several top Christian officials have been dismissed for refusing it. “What will now become of the many Chadians who are neither Muslims nor Christians, and what will be the purpose of our institutions of justice and regulation?” asked a local source, before adding that the situation has become “critical, as the great powers show complicity by turning a blind eye to violations of basic human rights …” The source also said that “Catholic leaders fear for their lives after criticizing constitutional changes.”

Comoros: Sunni Islam was formally declared “the religion of the state,” according to an August 3 report. “The state draws from this religion the principles and rules of Sunnite observance,” the nation’s amended constitution now reads. As Christians amount to about 2% of population—which is 95% Sunni Muslim —this development bodes ill, say local Christians: “Things have been very hard on indigenous Christians before, and this kind of specification is expected to make things even harder for them,” said one local source. According to the report,

“Over the years, the rise [of] radical Islamic thought among the population, government officials, religious leaders and Muslim youth groups have caused anxiety among Christians… Converts to Christianity from Islam can be prosecuted, and the converts that exist face severe discrimination from the Muslim majority… The state also denies worshipping space for Christians in general. An ultra-conservative group of radical scholars … are pushing the country to a more extreme view of Islamic law (sharia) in the country and are against Christians.”

Turkey: A declaration signed by non-Muslim religious leaders saying that, contrary to growing reports, they are experiencing no persecution, was signed under duress, say reports and rights activists. The statement, signed by 16 Christian and two Jewish community leaders, said that religious minorities were allowed to practice their faiths freely, that “statements alleging and/or alluding to oppression are completely untrue,” and that “many grievances experienced in the past have been resolved.” In an August 4 statement, however, Dr. Anthony J. Limberakis, the head of an organization comprised of the leading Orthodox churchmen in the United States, said:

The Order of Saint Andrew, Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, regrets the pressure that the Turkish government has clearly placed upon that nation’s religious minorities in obtaining a statement on religious freedom from them….. In light of … the plight of religious minorities in Turkey, it is clear that Erdogan is acting as a dictator, going to religious minorities asking them to sign a paper that belies reality when they are in no position to refuse, for fear that their situation will deteriorate even more….. [W]e fervently pray for our suffering Christian brothers and sisters and all those who are persecuted simply for professing their faith in Turkey and elsewhere.

Another report notes that “Leading the signatory list was Greek Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople, whose community has been waiting for 47 years now to have its theological school [Halki Seminary] reopened.” Around the same time that this statement was being signed, and possibly to add insult to injury, Turkish authorities declared that a major Islamic Education Center will be built right next to the closed Christian building. According to the architect, Korhan Gümüş, this move appears as a form of “religious antagonism…. A halki seminary was built there in the past. Building Islamic Education Center right next to it gives the feeling of revenge. This is like old fears haunting us again in Turkey.”

About this Series

While not all, or even most, Muslims are involved, persecution of Christians by extremists is growing. The report posits that such persecution is not random but rather systematic, and takes place irrespective of language, ethnicity, or location.

Mueller’s Perjury Traps

Mueller has pursued his vocation by railroading people into prison for minor offenses and his own career advancement.

Dropping Paul Manafort as a cooperating witness ruins his credibility as far as anything he told Mueller and any testimony he may be forced to give with respect to that.  The lies Mueller is alleging are almost certainly an exercise of Mueller’s specialty, the “perjury trap” he is trying to set for President Trump.  It must be assumed the Special Counsel has proof of Manafort’s lies.

Manafort’s defense team has been working with the president’s lawyers since the inception of his plea agreement.  The president’s attorney, Rudolph Giuliani, has admitted as much.  Mueller is trying to prove collusion between Trump and Manafort with respect to the written answers the president submitted last week in response to Mueller’s questions.  If any of Trump’s answers to Mueller’s questions include even one of the same lies as Manafort, it would not only be perjury but the “high crime” the incoming Democratic House majority will use to initiate Articles of Impeachment.

It doesn’t even have to be a big lie — saying he didn’t know of the Trump Tower meeting between Trump Jr. and Natalia Veselnitskya (who coincidentally, had ties to Fusion GPS, having dined with Glenn Simpson both before and after the meeting), when Mueller has evidence he did, would be enough for Mueller to ruin Trump’s presidency.

So, denying foreknowledge of a meeting that was not illegal and certainly didn’t rise to the things Hillary and company did with the Steele Dossier may be insignificant, but it still would be a false statement.

That’s how Mueller got General Michael Flynn, who related a conversation he had with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak that differed from the recordings Mueller had of the meeting.  The meeting would be a legitimate task for an incoming national security advisor and even though interviewing FBI agents didn’t think he was lying and merely misspoke or misremembered, the inconsistency was used to indict him.  Mueller knew what was said because he had recordings of the conversation.  In other words, it was a perjury trap.  That’s not even mentioning that acting Attorney General Sally Yates opened the investigation of Flynn under the pretense that he violated the Logan Act, a 1799 piece of legislation widely believed unconstitutional and never used to prosecute anyone in the more than two-century interregnum.

And that’s how he got George Papadopoulos as well.  He told investigators that a conversation about Russia with suspected CIA spy Joseph Mifsud, an academic and Russia expert, happened before he was associated with the Trump campaign.

Papadopoulos, who was named as a foreign policy advisor for the Trump Campaign on March 19, 2016, met with Mifsud on March 15, 2016.  His crime is not telling investigators that on March 10 he already knew of his imminent appointment.  This resulted in a sentence of 14 days in jail for George even though Mueller asked the court for a much longer sentence because Papadopoulos gave him nothing to implicate the president.

It’s what he’s trying to do to Jerome Corsi also, a septuagenarian who couldn’t remember forwarding an email.  Mueller had seized his computers and thus already knew he had forwarded the email.  Apparently, poor memory can result in jail time for Corsi even though there was nothing illegal about the email itself.

Mueller wanted to flip him, and according to Corsi, lie and say he was the conduit between Assange and Roger Stone (a Trump confidant) for stolen Hillary emails.  In doing so, Mueller was attempting to draw a line from Assange through Corsi to Stone and then to his real target, the president.

Given $30 million, two years, and 17 hungry prosecutors empowered to find anything a target might have ever done in his life and it is likely they will find something.  Flynn would have probably prevailed in court, but Mueller also specializes in “ruination.”  He is said to have threatened to also charge Flynn’s son and wife.

Mueller has an unlimited budget ($40 million spent so far); Flynn had only his savings.  The same holds true for Papadopoulos and Corsi.

This is how Mueller has pursued his vocation, railroading people into prison for minor offenses, and his own career advancement.  Apparently destroying people’s lives by charging them with process crimes when he can’t charge them with real crimes is what earns respect in D.C. – because don’t forget that when the now irrelevant Rod Rosenstein appointed Mueller (coincidentally, newly fired FBI Director James Comey’s best bud), all we heard was how respected he was and how he had “unblemished integrity.”

At least Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer, actually lied.  He twice told Congress that negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Moscow ended in January of 2016 when they ended in June.  Yet, there is nothing illegal about negotiating to build in Moscow.  He lied because he thought it would be better politically if talks ended before Trump attained the nomination.  It is illegal to lie to Congress.  However, it bears noting that John Brennan, James Clapper, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton, James Comey, and many other members of the Obama Administration have also lied to Congress and haven’t been indicted by Mueller.  Of course, that’s because he was tasked to only pursue Republicans.  The entire process that resulted in Mueller’s appointment was started by members of the Obama administration and probably personally approved by the former president.

Yep, that was him, say, “thank you,” please.

Mueller’s Greatest Hits:

Whitey Bulger

As Alan Dershowitz said: [“Mueller’s] the guy who kept four innocent people in prison for many years in order to protect the cover of Whitey Bulger as an FBI informer. Those of us in Boston don’t have such a high regard for Mueller because we remember this story. The government had to pay out tens of millions of dollars because Whitey Bulger, a notorious mass murderer, became a government informer against the mafia.”

That’s really all that need be said about Mueller, then FBI director, and Bulger.

Steven J. Hatfill

He was the man Mueller and trusted “mini-me” James Comey (remember, there may be no coincidences in life, but there are many for Mueller) tried in vain to blame for the Anthrax letters sent to public officials in 2001.  The letters containing powdered anthrax killed five people and hospitalized 17 others.  Despite the lack of evidence, for years Mueller hounded Hatfill, who was a virologist at the Army’s Fort Detrick, Maryland laboratories.  When Hatfill sued and won almost $6 million from the government for Mueller’s abuse of power, Mueller said, “I do not apologize for any aspect of the investigation.”  How’s that for integrity?  Ruin a man because the conviction would look good on your résumé and all the liberal world applauds.

“Scooter” Libby

“Scooter” Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney’s chief of staff, was accused of outing CIA analyst Valerie Plame — the eventual charge was perjury (oh, the coincidence).  Forget that the entire world knew she worked for the CIA and she wasn’t an agent and therefore never in danger and that Libby was innocent.

As the FBI would say with serial killers, Mueller’s “signature” emerges.  First, then-FBI director Mueller’s deputy, James Comey (there’s a coincidence again) forced Attorney General John Ashcroft to recuse (it’s always best if targets are defenseless).  Then, Patrick Fitzgerald was named Special Counsel by Comey, which allowed through the “two-hop rule” the FBI to investigate anyone to have ever been in contact with Libby and by extension, anyone to have ever been in contact with them — in other words, the entire Bush administration.

It turns out, they knew all along that Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage was the leaker.  Apparently, when you have unblemished integrity, you can do whatever you want.  President Trump pardoned Libby in April.

Ted Stevens

In the runup to his 2008 reelection campaign, Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska was investigated by Director Mueller’s FBI on bogus suspicions of him misreporting money spent on renovations to his home.  Less than 100 days before the 2008 election, the Justice Department indicted Stevens and he lost the election by less than 2%.

Judge Emmet G. Sullivan (coincidentally, also the sentencing judge for General Flynn) found that the prosecution was “permeated by the systemic concealment of significant exculpatory evidence, which would have independently corroborated Senator Stevens’s defense and his testimony, and seriously damaged the testimony and credibility of the government’s key witness.”

Judge Sullivan also said: “In nearly 25 years on the bench, I’ve never seen anything approaching the mishandling and misconduct that I’ve seen in this case.”

Mark Begich, who became the senator from Alaska after beating Stevens in 2008, was the 60

One of the prosecutors in the case committed suicide and the FBI agent who blew the whistle on the injustice was hounded out of the FBI while the agent responsible for the bogus charges was promoted.

Stevens later died in a plane crash, a ruined man.  But that’s what Mueller does, he ruins people — if it’s good for his career, that is.

WWUTT: Lauren Daigle Doesn’t Know If Homosexuality Is A Sin?

In a recent interview, Grammy and Dove Award winner Lauren Daigle was asked her opinion about homosexuality.

Domenick Nati: “Do you feel that homosexuality is a sin?”

Lauren Daigle: “You know, I can’t honestly answer on that. I have too many people that I love, that they are homosexual. I don’t know. I can’t say one way or the other. I’m not God, so when people ask questions like that, that’s what my go-to is. I just say read the Bible and find out for yourself. And when you find out, let me know, because I’m learning, too.”

Okay, Lauren. Well in Matthew 19, Jesus said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?'”

Leviticus 20:13 says that if a man lies with a man as with a woman, they have committed an abomination. The Apostle Paul refers to this in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 when he says that men who practice homosexuality will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Revelation 22:15 says among those who are outside the kingdom are the dogs, a word used in Deuteronomy 23:18 to describe homosexual male prostitutes. Romans 1:26-27 says that those whose hearts are darkened exchange natural relations for those contrary to nature: women burn with passion for women, and men commit shameless acts with men.

If you care for your homosexual friends, the loving thing to do would be to tell them to repent and follow Jesus. Don’t be flippant about behavior God has promised He will judge, when we understand the text.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…” Romans 1:16

“Partiality in judging is not good. Whoever says to the wicked, ‘You are in the right,’ will be cursed by peoples, and abhorred by nations, but those who rebuke the wicked will have delight, and a good blessing will come upon them. Whoever gives an honest answer kisses the lips.” Proverbs 24:23-26

UN migration: Criticising migration could become CRIMINAL offence under new plan | World | News | Express.co.uk

A LEADING MEP has warned EU citizens they could be “jailed” for criticising migration policies if a new United Nations agreement is acted upon.

“One basic element of this new agreement is the extension of the definition of hate speech.

“The agreement wants to criminalise migration speech. Criticism of migration will become a criminal offence.

“Media outlets that give room to criticism of migration can be shut down.

“The compact for migration is legalisation of mass migration.

“It is declaring migration as a human right so it will, in effect, become impossible to criticise Mrs Merkel’s welcome migrants politics without being at risk of being jailed for hate speech.”

In 2015 Angela Merkel pushed for an open-door migration policy across the EU. Critics said the move was motivated by Germany’s need to boost its workforce by at least one million.

The document is an “intergovernmentally negotiated agreement, prepared under the auspices of the United Nations, that covers all dimensions of international migration in a holistic and comprehensive manner”.

Austria, Australia, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Israel, Poland, Slovakia and Switzerland have already stated they will not sign the agreement.

One of the “guiding principles” of the document asks for a “whole-of-society approach” to promoting mass migration, including the role of the media.

Governments are asked to “promote independent, objective and quality reporting… and stopping allocation of public funding or material support to media outlets that systematically promote intolerance, xenophobia, racism and other forms of discrimination towards migrants”.

Italian deputy prime minister Matteo Salvini said on Wednesday that Italy will not sign the United Nations Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration next month.

He said: “Just like the Swiss, who carried forward the Global Compact up until yesterday and then said ‘everyone stop’, the Italian government will not sign anything and will not go to Marrakech.

“The floor of parliament must debate it. The Italian government will allow parliament to decide.”

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte warned the migration document tackles issues citizens are divided on.

Mr Conte said: “The Global Migration Compact is a document that raises issues and questions that many citizens have strong feelings about.

“Therefore, we consider it right to put the debate in parliament and subject any final decision on the outcome of that debate, as Switzerland has done.

Marcel de Graaff has spoken out against the agreement (Image: EU)

“So the government will not participate in Marrakech, reserving the option to adopt the document, or not, only when parliament has expressed its opinion.”

Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak has decided to resign in protest at parliament’s decision on Thursday to reject a UN pact on the treatment of migrants, his ministry said.

Mr Lajcak was President of the United Nations General Assembly when the migration pact was adopted and had earlier threatened to quit if his country did not support it.

The Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration was approved in July by all 193 member UN nations except the United States, which backed out last year, and is due to be ratified formally in December.

Salvini said Italy will not sign the declaration (Image: GETTY)

The ministry said: ”Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak has decided, following today’s vote in parliament, to resign.”

Slovakia’s Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini has said his government would “never” accept the pact because of its take on migration as a generally positive phenomenon, which contradicts Slovakia’s will to distinguish among the migrants.

Besides Bratislava, other European Union members like Austria, Hungary or the Czech Republic shunned the pact, while Switzerland delayed its decision.

The pact was conceived after the biggest influx of migrants into Europe since World War Two, many fleeing conflicts and poverty in the Middle East, Africa and beyond.

Ann Coulter: ‘Trump Will Be The Last Republican President’

CNS News

Best selling author and conservative pundit Ann Coulter — who early in 2016 predicted Doanld Trump’s presidential win — said that because of changing demographics and the propensity of many young immigrants to vote for liberals, Donald Trump “will be the last Republican president.”

In a Nov. 28 interview with Editor in-Chief Alex Marlow on Breitbart News Daily, Coulter said, “Every day, more and more immigrants turn 18 and start voting, canceling out all of your votes. It’s about five more years. Trump will be the last Republican president.”

“You think, ‘Oh well, we may get another Supreme Court nomination, that will save us,'” she said.  “No, no, the Democrats – as we saw in this last election – they can’t wait 10 years for demographics to change, they have to invent the Russia conspiracy. They’re so upset about this brief interregnum with Donald Trump. No.”

“Why even fight the Florida or Georgia elections?” she continued.  “The whole country will be yours moments from now. No, we can’t wait, we can’t wait.”

“So, I assume they’ll pack the court,” said Coulter.  “It won’t matter how many Trump appoints – he could appoint, replace four Supreme Court justices. Then President Beto [O’Rourke] or President Kamala [Harris] will come in and say, ‘Hey, I think we need four more justices on the Supreme Court.’”

Later in the interview Coulter discussed how close the 2016 race was and why the Trump team cannot plan on running the same type of race in 2020.

“They barely won the last election,” Coulter said of the 2016 Trump campaign. “It was very exciting, it was great, everyone remembers election night. You always have this feeling we’re invincible and ha, ha, ha you guys are losers, you lost.”

But “it was really close,” she said. “You switch 80,000 votes, mostly in the industrial Midwest, and he [Trump] loses.”

“I told him directly during the transition,” said Coulter,  “‘If you don’t keep your promises, you run the exact same election four years from now, and just through the process of immigrants turning 18 and block voting for the Democrats, you lose the exact same election.’”

Trump: The Last President? | Zero Hedge

“…in America, demography sure seems to be destiny.”

Authored by John Wilder via Wilder, Wealthy, And Wise blog,

“President Camacho: ‘Number one:  We’ve got this guy Not Sure. Number two: He’s got a higher IQ than any man alive, and Number three: He’s going to fix everything.’” – Idiocracy

You never want to make the call too early.  By the way, in this book, the name of the Last President was Pence.  Oooh, goosebumps.

Donald Trump may be the last President of the United States.

There will certainly be people that will follow him that will use the title, but their allegiance won’t be to the electorate as a whole – their allegiance will be only to the Left.

As we see in California now, the entire mechanism of state government has switched to a uniform Leftist government – the California Republican Party is as potent a political force as a group of twelve year old My Little Pony fans at an MMA event.

The Governor isn’t the Governor of California, especially when he won in a 57% to 43% victory.

The Governor is the Governor of the Left, and will represent the Left, not the electorate in general.  The swing vote, which has moderated elections nationally is absent in California.  The swing vote means that the most uninterested people have the levers of power.  That category of people simply does not exist in California.

Party leader?  Sure.  Governor?  Well, in name only.  In reality, the recently elected Governor is the Democratic Party leader.

Recently, we’ve had contests at the national level for President – the swing voter makes a difference.  Could McCain have won in 2008?  No, not really, mainly because no one liked him.  Could Romney have won in 2012?  Maybe, but it would have been like electing your middle school principal as President.  The fact that Trump did win in 2016 was relatively surprising to me.

Trump’s victory did expose part of the genius of the founding fathers.  Despite the popular vote being in favor of Clinton, Trump concentrated on and won the Electoral College.  The Electoral College isn’t a genius move because Trump won – the Electoral College was a guarantee of the essential promise of the Constitution to the States that the small states wouldn’t get dragged around like a St. Bernard’s chew toy (small states hate slobber), but it also provided a trap against voter fraud and a mechanism for nearly instant legitimacy of the elected President.  In order to cheat on a national election, you’d have to cheat in state after state after state.  Cheating in New York City or even statewide in Texas alone won’t do elect a fraudulent President.

And while it’s common it’s not unheard of: Trump is the fifth President to be elected by winning the Electoral College without winning the popular vote.

But on election night 2018, Bill Kristol tweeted:

‘I’ve always disliked the phrase “demography is destiny,” as it seems to minimize the capacity for deliberation and self-government, for reflection and choice. But looking at tonight’s results in detail, one has to say that today, in America, demography sure seems to be destiny.’

I rarely agree with anything that Kristol has to say, so I think he might have been on Ambien when he tweeted that.  But he’s right.  And Bill Kristol being right makes me certain he was on Ambien.

The Right faces a serious headwind in future elections.  A few data points:

  • Before the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, California was reliability Republican. After that law passed?  California dived quickly into the Leftist camp – the primary driver being the rise of first generation citizens being allowed to vote – a group that strongly skews Leftist, by 3 to 1 or more.  When I was a kid, California was a shining economic model of progress.  Now it’s a poster-child for income inequality and poverty.  So California’s got that going for it.

  • Florida has one major group that will impact future elections – newly-minted predominantly (5 to 1 Leftist) ex-felon voters approved by a Florida constitutional amendment just approved this election. 5 million ex-felon voters, which using extremely conservative math nets the Left 400,000 more votes.  Donald Trump won by 110,000 or so votes.  Additionally, we’ve seen that Florida is a mess after a close vote.  With lots of “ballots I just found in the pocket of my other coat,” if you know what I mean.  Wink, wink.

  • Texas is moving Left.   Yes, Cruz beat Beto, but those demographics that Kristol talked about appear here strongly, and I wrote about it before (The Fall of Texas and the Coming One Party State).  Texas doesn’t turn Left in 2020 unless the economy really, really tanks.  Probably 2024.  Certainly 2028.  2032?  Expect posters to Stalin©.

  • The economy. It ran on 0% interest rates for years.  Now that the Fed is attempting to raise rates?  At some point the party is over and the economy will hit a recession – probably before 2020.  If Trump is lucky?  A recession in 2019 would be good.  Like right away.  Presidents don’t do well running for re-election in the middle of a recession.  It’s like trying to lick a flagpole at -40°F (-40°C) – it’s embarrassing to be there and requires the fire department to save you.  Ask Jimmy Carter.

  • The process of drawing legislative voting districts to benefit your party is as old as the Republic. It even has a name, gerrymandering, named after Elbridge Gerry, governor of Massachusetts when they said the strange congressional district he created looked like a salamander.  Gerry+salamander=gerrymander.  Or maybe it was his wife, whose nickname was “Lizard Lips.”    Republicans have 33 governorships, so they’re getting pretty good at drawing districts that would make Gerry proud.  But the Left is using judges to undo the creative districting, which makes it rougher to gain a majority in the House of Representatives.

Many of these changes are permanent and spread to other states. Folks leaving California because it’s too much like California move to wonderful places such as where my brother John Wilder lives.  (There’s a longer version of why my brother’s name is John Wilder, but let’s just assume our parents weren’t very imaginative.  We at least have different middle names.)

What happens when they move there?  Well, being normal Californians, the first thing they do is get on the Homeowners’ Association boards, because people from California really like telling other people what to do.  My brother attended a meeting of his board one night.  Sage McUnicorn, who had recently moved from California, motioned that the new trash company collect recyclables every week.

My Brother John:  “Don’t they charge extra for that?”

Sage O’Smurf:  “Namaste, yes, but it is good for the planet.  It will help us protect Mother Earth.  It’s only a few hundred dollars a year.  Don’t we all love the Earth that much?”

My Brother John:  “You’re saying that you want to charge every person in this neighborhood extra money to pick up newspapers and plastics that the trash company just dumps in a landfill?  (That’s what the trash company was doing then. – JW)  How is it responsible to force another person to pay for your views?”

Sage MacRainbow:  “The oracles tell us that is how it is done.  Never pay for your own convictions.  That could get expensive!”

My brother’s argument actually swayed the HOA.  They didn’t end up with a recyclable fee.  But the point remains:  Californians who leave California because it is, well, California, want to move to new places to make them just like California when they get there.  It’s like when zombie bites you, but you get a lecture, too.

I took this picture in California in February of 2016.  I hear now the water is recycled right out of the toilet to the water fountains.  I guess that’s why I only drank wine when I was out there.

Trump in 2020 has headwinds against him.  In 2024, however, all of the demographic changes have continued another four years.  Texas may be as permanently left as California has become, and Florida may have joined it, if Florida can figure out how a pocket calculator works by then.  Without Florida?  Re-election looks grim even in 2020.

If every future election has a foregone conclusion, that leaves the President as a single party leader of the Left.  And in Washington D.C. the Left has been consistently more disciplined on voting, though they do tend to form circular firing squads on policy.  Given the thin Senate majority now, another decade of demographic change might allow truly uniform and consolidated power as all legislative bodies are captured along with the Presidency.  And at that point the United States is a de facto single party state, with a minority party that is just for show.  A list of single party states that look like this includes such human rights wonders and great vacation spots as Turkey, South Africa, Venezuela and Zimbabwe.  I mean, who wouldn’t love to live in those places?

Frankly, my favorite government is grid lock.  The government is best that can’t figure out what it wants to do because it’s fighting with itself, because it then manages through sheer incompetence to leave you alone.  Maybe that could be my slogan in 2024 – “Wilder, for the ineffective and confused government you deserve!”

Next Monday . . . we’ll look more how this sets up a Civil War.  But smile.  We have Netflix® now, right?

Mercer: Liberals Want America To Go Borderless | Zero Hedge

“To listen to the liberal propagandist class is to come away believing that breaking into America is legal so long as you call yourself a refugee or an asylee and are ‘seeking a better life’…”

Authored by Ilana Mercer via The Unz Review,

That’s the law. Nothing can be done about it.

And that’s the liberal reaction to any rational action to stop the stampede of uneducated, unruly, fractious, antagonistic masses toward and over the U.S. southern border. Liberals call law-enforcement unlawful. Or, they shoehorn the act of holding the line into the unlawful category.

Prevent uninvited masses from entering the country: Unlawful.

Tear gas marauding migrants for stoning Border Patrol personnel: Illegal, immoral, possibly even criminal.

Illegal. Unconstitutional. Immoral. Un-American. These are some of the refrains deployed by wily pitchmen, Democrats and some Republicans, to stigmatize and end any action to stop, disincentivize and summarily deport caravans of grifters, bound for the U.S. in their thousands.

Our avatars of morality and legality seldom cite legal chapter-and-verse in support of their case for an immigration free-for-all.

To go by the law, as professed by the liberal cognoscenti, claims-makers must be allowed to make their claims.

Could the cuddly treatment mandated be predicated on the Christine Blasey Fordstandard? Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser claimed she had A Story to tell. So, the country had to hear her tell it. A compelling standard.

That’s what happens when feelings and fancy replace reason and facts.

No wonder the noise-makers are drowning-out the authentic claims-makers in society. Against the sainted noise-makers on the border all laws appear to be null and void or tantamount to torture

The Left is creating reality on the ground, all right. But the prime real estate liberals hope to colonize is in every American’s head.

Ruffians are breaching the U.S. border near Tijuana, demanding access to the American Welfare State. That’s the reality! Helped by the American left’s monopoly over the intellectual means of production—the average American is being encouraged to look at this aberrant apparition and “think”:

“Awesome. This is who we are. American laws are amazing for inviting this.”

Illegal, immoral, un-America: These are all pejoratives reserved not for the grifters making claims against Americans; but for the Americans resisting their claims.

To listen to the liberal propagandist class is to come away believing that breaking into America is legal so long as you call yourself a refugee or an asylee and are “seeking a better life.”

Moreover, provided an asylee, refugee or saint in disguise appears at a port of entry (San Ysidro, in our case), then he must be admitted into America.

So, is The Law an ass or are those lying about the law the real asses?

A bit of both.

The Center for Immigration Studies provides something of a corrective. The gist of it is simple:

“The Border Patrol has the authority to not only arrest those who enter illegally, but also to dissuade their entry. There is nothing in the law that requires the Border Patrol to allow aliens to enter the United States illegally, and then arrest them. Simply put, aliens do not have a right to illegally enter the United States.”

Essentially, the opportunity to assert “a credible fear” of persecution, as explained by Andrew R. Arthur of the CIS, doesn’t give a scofflaw the right to enter the country and claim asylum.

To the contrary: The “credible fear” provision, evidently being misused and misconstrued, doesn’t “exist to facilitate asylum claims.” Rather, “it exists to facilitate the removal from the United States of aliens who have attempted entry through fraud or without proper documents.”

This charitable interpretation struggles to convince. Notwithstanding a defense of lousy and lax law—it nevertheless seems true to state that U.S. laws governing the admission of asylum-seekers and refugees will still process people based on a tale told at a port of entry, and despite disqualifying conduct: the brazen, even criminal, behavior evinced by the Central American caravanners rushing our border.

As practiced, the law is worse than an ass. It’s perverse in the extreme.

In the context of law misconstrued or reinvented, the chant about the 1878 Posse Comitatus Act is as telling. It’s the excuse parroted by almost everybody, Republicans included, for a lack of vigorous military action against an en masse breach of the southern border.

With their Posse Comitatus chant, the no-borders crowd is claiming that sending the U.S. Military to the border is tantamount to deploying the military for civilian purposes.

If an ongoing, sustained, intentional and international invasion of U.S. territory by foreign nationals is considered a domestic dispute to be handled by civil authorities—then America, plain and simple, is both defenseless and borderless; there is, seemingly, no law that’ll defend American borders.

What those liberals colonizing our heads are attempting to convey is that a good America, a just America, a moral America is de facto and de jure a borderless America.

In truth, and according to the Congressional Research Service, as relayed by the Military Times, Posse Comitatus means that “the U.S. military is not to be used to control or defeat American citizens on U.S. soil.”

The hordes amassed on the border with Mexico, and rushing the port of entry in San Ysidro, California, are not American citizens. They are not even very nice.
