May 14 Life-Changing Moments With God

The fellowship of His sufferings.

Lord Jesus, it is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master.

You, my Teacher and Master, were despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we humans hid our faces from You; You were despised, and we did not esteem You. In the world I will have tribulation. Because I am not of the world, but You chose me out of the world, therefore the world hates me.

Jesus, You looked for someone to take pity, but there was none. So, too, at Paul’s first defense no one stood with him, but all forsook him.

Foxes have holes and birds have nests, but You had nowhere to lay Your head. Here I have no continuing city, but I seek the one to come.

Let me run with endurance the race that is set before me, looking unto You, Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith, who for the joy that was set before You endured the cross, despising the shame, and have sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

As I share in Your sufferings, Jesus, help me look to You!

May—14 The Poor Man’s Evening Portion

He turned their heart to hate his people—Psalm 105:25.

Oh! precious scripture! what a blessed discovery is here made! Never should I have known, never thought, that the hand of my God was in a dispensation like this. Henceforth, my soul, remember, when at any time the world is oppressing thee and opposing thee, yea, when even “thy mother’s children are angry with thee,” look deeper than the surface, and behold both the Lord’s wisdom and the Lord’s appointment in the exercise. And dost thou ask wherefore the Lord should dispose the heart of the believer’s foes to hate his people? the answer is at hand: it is to keep his people from “mingling with the heathen, and learning their works.” Nature cleaves to nature; and the dispositions in flesh and blood are in all the same. If God, therefore, turn the hearts of those we are too fond of to treat us with unkindness, and reward our love with hatred, this process will do more to separate the precious from the vile, than all the Lord’s precepts: yea, more than a sense of our own danger. How much disposed art thou, my soul, to seek the favour of the world! how frequently dost thou study to conciliate the affections of those that differ from thee in the great truths of God. Jesus, who knows this, beholds it, and will not suffer it to be. He graciously causeth some secret sorrow to spring out of this root. The heart we wish to be particularly friendly, is led to manifest unprovoked unkindness; and where we are looking for most pleasure, there we find most pain. And in all this Jesus’s love and wisdom are at the foundation. No dispensation would answer the purpose to correct our wayward choice but this: and it is blessed to see how the Lord accomplisheth the secret purposes of his will, by means so opposite to our calculation. Mark down this sweet scripture for the special purpose of improvement, under exercises like these. And when at any time the false reproaches of one, or the unprovoked anger of another, in a carnal world, make thee sad, recognise the hand of Jesus in the dispensation, and read this blessed passage in proof: “He turned their heart to hate his people.”[1]

May 14.—Morning. [Or September 24.]
“Have mercy upon us, O Lord.”

2 Samuel 12:1–10; 13, 14

AND the Lord sent Nathan unto David. (Such a sin could not remain unpunished. The Lord sent the same messenger to rebuke who had formerly come to bless. It was great mercy on God’s part to send a faithful preacher to David; if he had not loved him, he might have left him to his own hardness of heart. We ought to bless God much for those who will honestly deliver the divine message to us, whether it be sweet or bitter.) And he came unto him, and said unto him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.

The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds:

But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was unto him as a daughter.

And there came a traveller unto the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come unto him; but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.

And David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the Lord liveth, the man that hath done this thing shall surely die:

And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity. (Little did he think that he had pronounced sentence on himself. We are ready enough to condemn others, but, ah! how slow to see sin in ourselves.)

7, 8 And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. (The parable was full of wisdom, and the application full of courage. How thunderstruck was the king! How his colour must have changed! How loudly did his conscience say “Amen” to all that the prophet spake. Nathan went on to set forth David’s sin, that he might see more of its blackness, and repent the more heartily.) Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul; And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.

Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife. (Here was sharp medicine for afoul disease. If we sin, we must smart for it. The Lord’s beloved cannot escape, the rod if they transgress. In this case, as in most others, the chastisement was of the same nature as the sin. He had slain Uriah with the sword, and the sword was now to waste his family.)

13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. (A child of God may sin, but he cannot continue in it. If there had been no grace in David, he would have been angry with Nathan, but the spiritual life within him brought him into the dust of repentance at once. Many sin, as David did; but never repent, as he did.) And Nathan said unto David, The Lord also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

How quickly the pardon came! “Confess, and live” is God’s word to the erring. The Lord our God delighteth in mercy. Let us go to him and acknowledge our transgressions at once, and find immediate pardon.

14 Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die. (Though David shall live, he shall smart in a tender place. God forgives his children, but he will not suffer them to think lightly of sin; he will smite them heavily, though not mortally. O Lord, keep us from sin.)

Mercy, mercy, God the Father!

God the Son, be thou my plea!

God the Holy Spirit, comfort!

Triune God, deliver me!

Not my sins, O Lord, remember,

Not thine own avenger be;

But, for thy great tender mercies,

Saviour God, deliver me!

May 14.—Evening. [Or September 25.]
“He shall gather the lambs with his arm.”

2 Samuel 12:15–23

AND Nathan departed unto his house. And the Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife bare unto David, and it was very sick. (God is true to his word, whether he threatens or promises.)

16 David therefore besought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night upon the earth. (We are permitted to pray against coming ills. If David was not forbidden to plead even when the divine will had been declared, how much more may we appeal to God while as yet his purposes are unknown to us.)

17 And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them. (They feared for his health, but he was ready to sacrifice himself for his poor suffering babe. He was a tender father, and it pricked him to the heart to see his child suffering through the father’s sin. Perhaps it was during this period that repentance was having its perfect work, and he was regaining the smile of his heavenly Father.)

18 And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spake unto him, and he would not hearken unto our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?

19 But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.

20 Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the Lord, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat. (While the child lived he pleaded for its life, but when it was dead he submitted at once to the divine will. He seems also to have realised his pardon by faith in the atoning sacrifice, and therefore with humble gratitude went up again to the house of the Lord to worship, and returned to his palace to pursue the ordinary avocations of life. Some by their long mourning after the loss of children appear to be angry with God, and maintain a spirit of rebellion against him. Such was not David’s mind.)

21 Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread. (Those who are not themselves taught of God cannot understand the believer’s conduct. He neither rejoices nor mourns according to the world’s fashion, but allows his judgment to act, and his better feelings to have full play. This makes independent and consistent Christians appear to be odd and singular.)

22 And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether God will be gracious to me, that the child may live?

23 But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.

A great deal is suggested by the words “I shall go to him.” David could not have thought his child to be annihilated; it would have given him no comfort to hope to be annihilated too. Far less could David have imagined that the child was in misery, for he did not expect to go there at death. The father believed his babe to be in heaven, and expected to meet him there; and we also believe that all the dear little ones who die in infancy are in glory. We say all little ones, because this child was the offspring of shame, and if it be where David now is, we feel sure that all other departed infants are there also.

“Millions of infant souls compose

The family above.”

By the death of his babe the first blow of the rod fell upon David, and throughout the remainder of his life he found his trials multiplied.

It is the Lord whose chast’ning hand

Has filled the cup of woe;

The shaft of death by his command

Hath struck the fatal blow.

It is the Lord and he is good,

Unchangeably the same;

Though sorrow rises like a flood,

I’ll bless his holy name.[1]

May 14 Joy That Stays

John 16:22

I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.

The joy of Christ doesn’t go away. Have you noticed how easily earthly joy can leave? Have you discovered how simple it is for your gladness of today to become your sadness of tomorrow, for your sweetness of the morning to turn into the bitterness of the night? Have you discovered how the people you thought were your friends today can become your enemies tomorrow, the wisdom you thought was so great yesterday is foolishness today?

Nothing seems to be too stable in the world. You can’t really count on too much anymore. But the joy of Christ is a continual, never-ending, absolutely constant joy when we follow the principles of the Word of God. This joy survives all the difficult times in life. This joy is not hinged on happenings, but it is hinged on a Person.

In John 16:22, Jesus says, “Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.” Isn’t that something? Jesus says the joy He wants to give every one of His children is the kind of joy you don’t have to lose. Nobody can take it away from you![1]

Alarming video shows how quickly coronavirus can spread at a restaurant | New York Post

An alarming video from Japan that used a black light demonstrates how quickly the coronavirus can spread aboard a cruise ship or in a restaurant when just one person is infected.

In an experiment conducted by public broadcaster NHK in collaboration with infectious disease experts, 10 people were asked to serve themselves as usual at a buffet, according to Forbes.

Invisible fluorescent paint — visible only under a black light — was applied to the palm of one of the subjects, who was tapped as the “infected” person and coughed into his hand. The paint represented the deadly pathogen.

All the participants were allowed to enjoy the buffet for half an hour.

The diners are seen touching various utensils to grab food as they interact with each other and the “sick” individual in their midst.

At the end of the feasting, the room goes dark and ultraviolet light is emitted to show how the invisible paint spread almost everywhere, including silverware, dishes, glassware, clothes and cellphones.

The participants also had paint on their faces.

John Nicholls, a clinical professor in pathology at Hong Kong University, said the experiment demonstrates how quickly a virus can spread.

“What the video demonstrated, is that it will spread to surfaces and to people very efficiently, and I think it really highlights the need of what people have been saying about hand hygiene to stop the spread of disease,” Nicholls told CNN.

In a separate experiment, the scientists set up the buffet and took measures to protect against disease transmission by separating dishes, replacing tongs frequently and encouraging diners to wash their hands before, during and after the meal.

In that scenario, the paint spread 97 percent less than it did initially and did not end up on any of the other participants’ faces, according to Forbes.

Judge Sullivan Disregards Two Controlling Precedents By Appointing Amicus In Flynn Case

Whether or not one agrees with DOJ’s call to drop its charges against former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, there should be widespread agreement that Judge Emmet Sullivan has veered way out of line. His appointment of John Gleeson as amicus ignores two controlling higher court precedents.

Truth Matters in the Age of Coronavirus — Faithwire

Standing before Pontius Pilate, Jesus said all those “who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.” In response, the Roman governor offered up the famous question so many are asking today: “What is truth?”

The conversation between Jesus and Pilate unfolded as the seasoned politician was deciding what to do with “the King of the Jews” who had been arrested for blaspheming. To Pilate, truth was relative — it was whatever the majority agreed with, or whatever helped politicians achieve their respective goals. Truth was whatever worked, not whatever was right.

When justice is watered down to whatever gets the job done, truth dies.

Without an objective moral compass — an immovable guidepost for right and wrong — hubris wins the day. We’re watching that grim reality take shape right now, as the U.S. grapples with how to move forward in the age of the coronavirus.

Gov. Brian Kemp of Georgia was severely demonized last month, when he made the decision to begin slowly reopening his state. But as the numbers continue to trend in the right direction, many of the same journalists who bemoaned the Republican are mum as the number of new cases has fallen by 12%, according to Axios. There’s a reason for this: news coverage is hardwired to favor negative information. In other states that have eased restrictions — like Florida, Texas, and Oklahoma — the number of coronavirus infections is also shifting downward. But in a news cycle, good news, data indicating things are OK, is akin to no news at all.

That’s not to suggest lifting stay-at-home orders is the right thing to do in all areas. Without a doubt, reopening will result in a spike in coronavirus cases — that’s been known since day one, according to former Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, M.D., who said such increases are “expected.”

Scott Gottlieb, MD

We always expected to see an uptick in new covid19 cases as states re-opened and the data seems to be indicating that cases are rising in reopen states. Some of these increases are a function of more testing; but some rise in new cases, as states re-open, should also be expected.

993 people are talking about this

But that’s the point, isn’t it?

All of this is new and foreign to us, our politicians and our medical experts. The last time a pandemic swept through the U.S. was 1917, before any of us were alive.

Nevertheless, so many have been unwilling — or at best, reluctant — to just admit that. And it’s created the perfect ground for crackpot conspiracies to grow.

People are frustrated with the ever-evolving rhetoric of politicians and doctors around the country. First, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention told us there was no reason to wear masks; now, they’re rightly telling us it’s important to wear non-medical masks to protect those around us. First, experts like Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s leader on infectious disease research, told us a useful vaccine would be coming in 12 to 18 months; now, Fauci is saying there’s no guarantee a vaccine would even work and Dr. Rick Bright, the former director of the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, isn’t so sure one is coming in a year or so.

It’s fine not to know all the answers to these things. Like I said earlier: none of us have lived through anything like this before. And it would be silly to expect a novel virus to fit into our prescribed timeline. For that reason, I don’t envy the job of any politician right now.

But when people are ridiculed for being confused, for wondering what the end game is, or for questioning why the answers have so quickly evolved, it’s no wonder conspiracy videos like “Plandemic” spread across social media. It’s not that everyone on Facebook and Twitter is a tin-foil-hat-wearing conspiracy theorist; the reality is they’ve been told confidently by experts what the future looks like only to see that future never materialize. Then, when the questions come, they’re swiftly shut down for daring to wonder aloud how we get out of the thing that has not only taken thousands of lives but has also crushed the economy and undoubtedly permanently shuttered countless small businesses across the country.

Journalists, medical experts, and politicians all need to level with the American people. They need to admit that, like all of us, they, too, don’t have all the answers, because that’s the truth.

Kemp and others are reacting to the best information they have. This is just as new for the governors who keep their states locked down as it is for the governors who begin reopening, and none of us should pretend to be Nostradamus.

You and I also need to be more graceful when possible. If we hear politicians, reporters, or doctors admit they don’t know the answer, we should extend grace to them, because at least they’re leveling with us — they’re being honest rather than allowing hubris to override humility.

We should all strive to be imperfect sinners doing the best we can with what we know. None of us should be like Pilate, eager to placate our conservative or progressive peers with relative gobbledygook paraded around as truth.

MILITARY vaccine mandates? Dept. of Defense purchasing 500 million ApiJect syringes to inject

Article Image
 • Natural News – Mike Adams

According to a press release from the US Dept. of Defense, featuring an announcement from Lt. Col. Mike Andrews, the DoD is partnering with HHS to acquire 500 million ApiJect vaccine injection devices, with deliveries expected to begin in October of this year.

According to the press release:

Spearheaded by the DOD’s Joint Acquisition Task Force (JATF), in coordination with the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response, the contract will support “Jumpstart” to create a U.S.-based, high-speed supply chain for prefilled syringes beginning later this year by using well-established Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) aseptic plastics manufacturing technology, suitable for combatting COVID-19 when a safe and proven vaccine becomes available.

The ApiJect syringes come with an optional RFID tag so that health care workers can track the GPS location and identity of the individual being injected. Via the Apiject.com website:

With an optional RFID/NFC tag on each BFS prefilled syringe, ApiJect will make this possible. Before giving an injection, the healthcare worker will be able to launch a free mobile app and “tap” the prefilled syringe on their phone, capturing the NFC tag’s unique serial number, GPS location and date/time. The app then uploads the data to a government-selected cloud database. Aggregated injection data provides health administrators an evolving real-time “injection map.”

Yes, you will be tracked, tagged, bagged and injected, most likely against your will.

Don’t forget that this is being married with President Trump’s “Operation Warp Speed” which aims to bypass all the usual protocols of vaccine safety testing and clinical trials, delivering up to 300 million coronavirus vaccine doses before the end of calendar 2020.

500 million prefilled syringes by 2021

The $138 million contract aims to achieve, “the ultimate production goal of over 500 million prefilled syringes (doses) in 2021.”

Notably, there are only around 327 million people living in the United States. That means this DoD / HHS project will produce enough coronavirus vaccine doses to cover every man, woman and child in America.

The only reason they would need so many doses is if there is a plan under way to force vaccines on everyone.

If coronavirus vaccines were planned to be optional — respecting the vaccine choice of individuals — not more than 100 million doses would be needed. The fact that 500 million doses are being manufactured is an admission that the DoD and HHS plan to make coronavirus vaccines mandatory.

Uh-Oh, President Trump Now Says He Is Mobilizing The United States Military To Distribute COVID-19 Vaccine When Ready, Will It Also Be Mandatory? — Now The End Begins

President Trump says he would “rapidly” mobilize the U.S. military to distribute a COVID-19 coronavirus vaccine once it’s ready, focusing first on nursing homes and the elderly most vulnerable to deadly complications from the virus.

We live in a time of crisis the likes of which the world has never seen before, and with each passing day comes further confusion and disorientation about what happens next. As we previously reported, President Trump has gone from being a staunch anti-vaxxer to being a COVID-19 vaccination cheerleader. Now today he told Fox News that he is mobilizing the US military to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine when it’s ready, probably at the end of the year. Vaccinations at the point of a gun? Yep, looks like that’s where we are at the moment.

For legal reasons I cannot tell you what you should do about receiving a COVID-19 vaccination shot, but I sure can tell you what I will do. Under no circumstances nor at an time will I receive a COVID-19 vaccination shot from any entity be it public, private or Trump. Not even the assembled might of the United States military could compel me to do that. I have told you all many, many times now, yes, Bill Gates is one of the major players but he is not the only player. Don’t have your eyes on any one person, or you’ll miss it. It’s a system, a global system.

Trump says he would mobilize military to distribute coronavirus vaccine when it’s ready

FROM CBS NEWS: “We’re mobilizing our military and other forces but we’re mobilizing our military on the basis that we do have a vaccine. You know, it’s a massive job to give this vaccine. Our military is now being mobilized so at the end of the year we’re going to be able to give it to a lot of people very, very rapidly,” the president said.

“We will have a tremendous force because assuming we get it, then you have to distribute it,” he added. “And unless you’re mobilized and ready, you’re not going to be able to do it for a long time. So we’re starting now.”

The president said he expects a vaccine to be available by the end of this year, a very optimistic timeline given that many experts, including Coronavirus Task Force member Dr. Anthony Fauci, say it will take at least 12 to 18 months. The virus has killed more than 84,000 Americans so far, as states begin to reopen their economies. The president indicated he expects that number to continue to climb.

“We will lose over 100,000, perhaps, in this country,” the president said in the interview that aired Thursday.

A CBS News poll released Thursday shows 43% of Americans think the president is doing a good job handling the virus, down from 48% in April and 53% in March.

Most Americans also don’t trust the president for information about the virus, the poll found. Only 38% of Americans said they do, compared with 61% who trust their governor and 62% who trust Fauci.  READ MORE

The Worst Is Yet to Come: Contact Tracing, Immunity Cards and Mass Testing

Article Image
 • John Whitehead – Rutherford Institute

The things we were worried would happen are happening.“—Angus Johnston, professor at the City University of New York

No one is safe.

No one is immune.

No one gets spared the anguish, fear and heartache of living under the shadow of an authoritarian police state.

That’s the message being broadcast 24/7 with every new piece of government propaganda, every new law that criminalizes otherwise lawful activity, every new policeman on the beat, every new surveillance camera casting a watchful eye, every sensationalist news story that titillates and distracts, every new prison or detention center built to house troublemakers and other undesirables, every new court ruling that gives government agents a green light to strip and steal and rape and ravage the citizenry, every school that opts to indoctrinate rather than educate, and every new justification for why Americans should comply with the government’s attempts to trample the Constitution underfoot.

Yes, COVID-19 has taken a significant toll on the nation emotionally, physically, and economically, but there are still greater dangers on the horizon.

As long as “we the people” continue to allow the government to trample our rights in the so-called name of national security, things will get worse, not better.

It’s already worse.

Now there’s talk of mass testing for COVID-19 antibodies, screening checkpoints, contact tracing, immunity passports to allow those who have recovered from the virus to move around more freely, and snitch tip lines for reporting “rule breakers” to the authorities.

If you can’t read the writing on the wall, you need to pay better attention.

These may seem like small, necessary steps in the war against the COVID-19 virus, but they’re only necessary to the police state in its efforts to further undermine the Constitution, extend its control over the populace, and feed its insatiable appetite for ever-greater powers.

Nothing is ever as simple as the government claims it is.

Whatever dangerous practices you allow the government to carry out now—whether it’s in the name of national security or protecting America’s borders or making America healthy again—rest assured, these same practices can and will be used against you when the government decides to set its sights on you.

The war on drugs turned out to be a war on the American people, waged with SWAT teams and militarized police.

The war on terror turned out to be a war on the American people, waged with warrantless surveillance and indefinite detention.

The war on immigration turned out to be a war on the American people, waged with roving government agents demanding “papers, please.”

A Well-Planned Epidemic | Global Research

Evidence demonstrates that the Coronavirus Operation started well before the “lockdowns” and the Fear campaigns.

Consider, for example, that whereas the WHO declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) on January 30, 2020 (1) the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security Act (CARE Act), also known as H.R 748 was introduced over a year earlier, on January 24, 2019, at a time when most had not even heard of the Coronavirus.

According to descriptor, the bill “responds to the COVID-19 (i.e., coronavirus disease 2019) outbreak and its impact on the economy, public health, state and local governments, individuals, and businesses.” (2) President Trump would later refer to the CARE Act ( a bailout of up to 6.2 trillion dollars) as “the single biggest economic relief package in American history” (3).

All of this is significant, because it contradicts the notion that the virus or other parties caused the crash, as it reinforces the likelihood that the crash was in fact created, with intent. The virus is the scapegoat or false flag for previously-planned economic bailouts, disemployment, fiscal and social distress, emergency laws, authoritarianism, vaccination programs, and an imposed “Fourth Industrial Revolution”.

But there is more. On November 20 2018, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, through the Pirbright Institute, in which they are “major stakeholders”, acquired a patent on the Coronavirus itself (4). Hence, they “own” the “problem”. They also have vested financial stakes in perceived “solutions”, which would include vaccines.

Consider also, as Mike Champine points out, that the Trump administration conducted these “pandemic drills” in 2019:

1. Crimson Contagion by the Trump administration’s US Department of Health and Human Services (January-August 2019).

2. Urban Outbreak, by the US Naval War College and Johns Hopkins (September 2019). Followed immediately by the US government’s creation of Flu Vaccine Task Force.

3. Event 201, by Johns Hopkins, the World Economic Forum, and Gates Foundation (October 2019).

As government spokespeople are now calling for a “second wave” in the “pandemic”, we can anticipate more digital education and healthcare, more authoritarianism, more poverty, higher “excess death” rates, and an increasingly ravaged public sphere.

We did not consent to any of this.

Impeachment Boomerang: Contacts Exposed Between US Embassy & Hunter Biden-Connected Ukraine Energy Firm | ZeroHedge News

Authored by John Solomon via JustTheNews.com,

During President Trump’s impeachment, former U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch testified to Congress that she knew little beyond an initial briefing and “press reports” about Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian natural gas firm that had hired Vice President Joe Biden’s son Hunter and was dogged by a corruption investigation.

“It just wasn’t a big deal,” she declared under oath on Oct. 11, 2019.

But newly unearthed State Department memos obtained under the Freedom of Information Act show Yovanovitch’s embassy in Kiev, including the ambassador herself, was engaged in several discussions and meetings about Burisma as the gas firm scrambled during the 2016 election and transition to settle a long-running corruption investigation and polish its image before President Trump took office.

Yovanovitch, for instance, was specifically warned in an email by her top deputy in September 2016 — three years before her testimony — that Burisma had hired an American firm with deep Democratic connections called Blue Star Strategies to “rehabilitate the reputation” of the Ukrainian gas firm and that it had placed “Hunter Biden on its board,” the memos show.

She also met directly with a representative for Burisma in her embassy office, less than 45 days before Trump took office, a contact she did not mention during her impeachment deposition.

The discussions about Burisma inside Yovanovitch’s embassy were so extensive, in fact, that they filled more than 160 pages of emails, memos and correspondence in fall 2016 alone, according to the State Department records obtained under FOIA by the conservative group Citizens United.

The contacts included a detailed private letter hand-delivered to Yovanovitch by one of Burisma’s lawyers in September 2016, a briefing later that month from her staff on Burisma’s issues, and a meeting scheduled between the ambassador and a Burisma representative shortly before Christmas 2016 as the Obama administration was preparing to leave office.

Yovanovitch, who recently retired from State, did not respond Tuesday to a message sent to her private email seeking comment. Her lawyer during the impeachment proceedings, Lawrence S. Robbins, also did not respond to an emailed request for comment.

State officials declined comment.

David Bossie, a former congressional investigator and current outside adviser to Trump who runs Citizen United, said the documents his group obtained raise questions about Yovanovitch’s testimony last fall and what else Congress may not know about the embassy’s involvement with the Hunter Biden-connected Burisma firm.

These new records clearly don’t support Ambassador Yovanovitch’s testimony under oath during [Rep. Adam] Schiff’s sham impeachment. Her sworn testimony must be investigated and scrutinized just like in the case of General [Michael] Flynn,” he said. “You can’t have two sets of rules.”

The impeachment hearings last fall, which focused on efforts by Trump and his lawyer Rudy Guiliani to find evidence inside Ukraine on the Bidens and Burisma and to remove Yovanovitch from her job as U.S. ambassador, included testimony from Yovanovitch herself.

During that deposition in October 2019 she made no mention of direct contact with Burisma representatives and instead suggested her knowledge about the company and its legal travails was limited mostly to a briefing she received in preparation for Senate confirmation as ambassador in summer 2016 and subsequent news media reports.

Hunter Biden’s work for one of Ukraine’s largest energy companies, which generated more than $3 million in payments to his American firm over two years, stirred controversy in both Ukraine and the United States because his father oversaw U.S. policy for Ukraine while Burisma was long a focus of a criminal corruption probe in Ukraine. State Department officials have said they believed the relationship created the appearance of a conflict of interest.

“What do you know about the investigation of Burisma?” Yovanovitch was asked at one point during her October testimony.

“Not very much. And, again, that happened before I arrived,” she testified. “… Burisma wasn’t a big issue in the fall of 2018 — 2016 when I arrived.”

“Were you aware at that time of Hunter Biden’s role with Burisma?” she was asked at another point.

“Yes. As I mentioned, I became aware during the Q&A in the prep for my testimony,” she answered.

Yovanovitch said she believed she learned from press reports that Burisma’s criminal case had been dormant by the time she arrived in Kiev in late summer 2016.

“I’m trying to understand your testimony, because earlier in the day you said that, based on press reports, your understanding was that it was dormant. You may have had additional information it was dormant, or you don’t know?” Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y., inquired at one point.

“Yes. And all I can tell you is it was a long time ago and it just wasn’t a big issue,” she said.

“So I just want to understand your position. Obviously, you knew that Burisma was dormant, based on press reports. That was what you stated earlier,” Zeldin pressed.

“Uh-huh,” she answered.

“But you’re saying that you may have had other information, but you don’t recall that now?” the lawmaker followed.

“I may have had other information, but I don’t recall how I had that impression …” she answered.

During a nationally televised impeachment hearing a month later in the House, Yovanovitch doubled down on her testimony that Burisma and Hunter Biden weren’t on her radar when she took over as ambassador. “It was not a focus of what I was doing in that six-month period,” she testified anew.

But the memos show Yovanovitch was informed that the criminal cases were actively being settled in fall 2016 and that Burisma and its founder Mykola Zlochevsky were trying to repair the company’s reputation with the U.S. Embassy.

For instance, a briefing memo prepared for Yovanovitch’s 30-minute meeting Dec. 8, 2016 inside the U.S. Embassy with Burisma representative Karen Tramontano noted that Tramantano worked for the lobbying and strategy firm Blue Star Strategies.

“An Atlantic Council member and Washington veteran, Tramontano informally represents Mykola Zlochevsky, the Burisma CEO, who has long been the target of law enforcement proceedings in Ukraine,” the memo stated.

The memo added that “his [Zlochevsky’s] official US representatives sent a letter in September (attached) asking that the embassy reconsider its position on him.”

The new memos aren’t the first to raise questions about Yovanovitch’s testimony. Last November, Fox News challenged another portion of her testimony denying she had contact with a Democratic House staffer after the network said it obtained emails showing Yovanovitch did in fact have the contact on her private email, and not her official State email.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, has been trying to subpoena documents about Blue Star Strategies and its work for Burisma for weeks but has been blocked by opposition from Republican Sen. Mitt Romney, whose friend serves on the Burisma board. Johnson and Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, are now seeking to interview witnesses who previously served at the embassy.

The memos show that both Blue Star Strategies and the Atlantic Council, a nonprofit policy organization, played a role in fall 2016 pressing the U.S. embassy in Kiev to change its position on Burisma and Zlochevsky, whom the embassy viewed as corrupt. Zlochevsky has long denied any wrongdoing.

For instance, after the U.S. Agency for International Development, the State Department foreign funding arm, was told by the embassy’s Deputy Chief of Mission George Kent not to accept a $7,500 donation for Burisma for a clean energy event in Ukraine in late summer 2016, a former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine named John Herbst working for the Atlantic Council reached out.

Herbst asked to meet with Yovanovitch in September 2016 and secured a private dinner date instead with Kent in Ukraine, the memos show. “I will factor into our conversation the Zlochevsky Affair,” Herbst wrote to Kent as he prepared for their dinner.

Kent, long a critic of Burisma, is one of the witnesses Johnson and Grassley are seeking to interview. He went out of his way to mention the Burisma-Hunter Biden connection during one of his  pre-dinner email exchanges with Herbst in which he decried alleged “payoffs” to Ukrainian officials “to do nothing” about the Burisma investigation.

“I have no doubt such arrangements were made, apart from Mr. Zlochevsky (who also put Hunter Biden on the board of his Burisma Energy company),” Kent wrote.

One of the maneuvers Blue Star planned was to take the new Ukrainian prosecutor general Yuriy Lutsenko, who held the fate of Burisma in his hands, to the United States for an event with the Atlantic Council, a move that would have created positive press for Lutsenko in both countries, the memos state.

Kent discouraged doing so and eventually sent a memo to Yovanovitch alerting her that “Lutsenko now likely not to go to DC with Blue Star.”

She followed up with a request to be briefed. “Thanks George. At some point appreciate discussing in more detail some of the folks referenced,” the ambassador wrote in a Sept. 4, 2016 email.

Within a few days, Yovanovitch received a direct letter from one of Burisma’s American lawyers, John Buretta of the Cravath, Swaine and Moore law firm in New York, alerting her that Lutsenko’s office was dropping a long-running corruption investigation of Burisma without filing charges based on a Ukrainian court ruling favorable to Zlochevsky.

Buretta’s letter to Yovanovitch said the allegations against Zlochevsky were “baseless,” and the lawyer asked the U.S. embassy to drop its long-running narrative that Burisma was somehow corrupt.

“We respectfully request that Your Excellency take into consideration these objective facts when considering the narrative promoted by some, and no doubt to be repeated again, in disregard of the facts and the law and the decisions by courts,” Buretta wrote the ambassador.

Yovanovitch immediately forwarded the letter to Kent. “What is this about?” she emailed.

Kent, the memos show, then arranged a special briefing for Yovanovitch later in September to get up to speed. The planned subject of the briefing, the memos show, was “Zlochevsky, Burisma, Cravath and image rehab campaigns.”

One of the topics for the briefing, Kent wrote colleagues on Sept. 16, 2016, was “Zlochevsky/Burisma – asset recovery and past crimes of the Yanu regime as they intersect U.S. corporate/individual interest,” an apparent reference to Hunter Biden’s role with the company.

In a separate email to Yovanovitch, Kent was more explicit about the Biden connection. “This is further to the Blue Star effort to rehabilitate the reputation of their non-client in the US, former ministry of ecologies Zlochevsky, who clearly has retained the services of a blue chip law firm (Cravath) and his energy company Burisma, which in turn has Hunter Biden on its board,” Kent emailed the ambassador.

By November 2016, with Trump now the president-elect, Burisma’s American emissaries were in full motion to get a second corruption case against Burisma — this one involving tax evasion — settled in Ukraine. They succeeded by early January, just days before Trump took office.

The American legal team for Burisma also wanted to improve relations between the gas firm, where Hunter Biden worked, and the U.S. embassy and USAID, the foreign aid arm, the memos show.

The Dec. 8, 2016 briefing memo prepared for Yovanovitch detailed the lobbying efforts by Blue Star.

“USAID spoke to Blue Star Strategies representative Sally Painter by phone and indicated that we would be open to discussing other forms of cooperation between USAID and Burisma, and agreed to meet with Burisma Government and Public Affairs representative Vadim Pozharskyi,” the memo to Yovanovitch explained. “In the November meeting, Pozharskyi briefed USAID on Burisma and the gas sector more broadly but did not propose specific ideas for cooperation.”

U.S. officials directly familiar with the Dec. 8, 2016 meeting confirmed it took place and that Yovanovich attended, but did not know whether the ambassador read the briefing memo beforehand.

After Yovanovitch met with Blue Star’s Tramantano, word surfaced in Ukraine that Zlochevsky had settled the second case against Burisma with a fine, and the Ukrainian news media was up in arms, critical that the owner and his company with Hunter Biden on its board had escaped more serious penalty.

One headline forwarded by email to the ambassador read, “Activists cry foul as courts, prosecutors clear Zlochevsky.”

“Lots of accusations/innuendo,” a State official wrote Yovanovitch and Kent on Dec. 29, 2016, forwarding another news article that alleged Burisma may have dumped natural gas into the market as a political payoff for getting off in the criminal case.

“Mentions Biden’s son and Kwasniewski are on board of Burisma, which allegedly had a subsidiary dump natural gas recently as a way to pay bribes” to Ukrainian officials, the State official wrote Yovanovitch.

A few hours later on that same day, the embassy’s deputy economic counselor followed up with Yovanovitch about the payoff allegations. “The dumping part is true,” the official wrote.

By early January 2017, as Vice President Joe Biden prepared to make a final visit to Ukraine before leaving office, officials around Yovanovitch worried the Burisma scandal might taint the visit. They forwarded news articles to the ambassador, some which were critical of the Bidens.

A Jan. 7, 2017 email from a State official to Yovanovitch, for instance, provided a summary of recent news reports about the impending Biden visit. “Ukrainian political scientists speculate on the purpose of the visit,” the email told Yovanovitch.

One of the speculations quoted in the memo was that Biden “has a business interest” in Ukraine because his son worked for Burisma. “Perhaps the behind the scenes part of the visit can be attributed to the fact that the Ukranian authorities guaranteed some business positions to the former Vice President and his family,” the memo quoted one Ukrainian figure as saying.

Kent had long feared the Bidens had created the appearance of a conflict of interest with the Burisma relationship and testified during impeachment he tried to warn the vice president about his concerns in 2015 but got rebuffed. As the media speculation about Biden’s last visit got more intense and nasty, Kent lamented to colleagues in a Jan. 17, 2017 email that copied Yovanovitch: “Burisma – gift that keeps on giving.”

For the Atlantic Council and Herbst, Kent’s line was prophetically, and literally, true.

On Jan. 13, 2017, Herbst emailed Kent that the Atlantic Council had just accepted a donation from Burisma.

“I wanted you to know before it becomes public that the Atlantic Council decided to accept support for its program from Burisma,” Herbst wrote.

“We looked at the matter closely and weighed it over for a month. Information provided by the Cravath lawyer for Burisma in the London case was an important factor, although some uneasiness remains.”

FAUCI’S FOLLIES: 36.5 Million Americans Unemployed Since March for Virus that Kills Less than 0.1% of Children and Working Age Adults — The Gateway Pundit

Nearly 3 million Americans filed initial jobless claims this week bringing the total to 36.5 million lost jobs since Dr. Fauci’s lockdown was implemented in March.

** Dr. Tony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx used the Imperial College Model to persuade President Trump to lock down the ENTIRE US ECONOMY.
** The fraudulent model predicted 2.2 million American deaths from the coronavirus pandemic
** The authors of the Imperial College Model shared their findings with the White House Coronavirus task force in early March
** Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx then met with President Trump privately and urged him to shut down the US economy and destroy the record Trump economy based on this model
** A new critique of the Imperial College Model finds the study is “completely unusable for scientific purposes” — The study is a complete sham
** Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx pushed a garbage model on the White House and the American public and destroyed the US economy

As reported weeks ago — in mid April Dr. Fauci admitted that it was he and Dr. Birx who persuaded President Trump to lock down the US economy knowing the massive destruction this would cause in jobs, lives and commerce.

President admitted that during a press conference in April that “two very smart people” came into his office and urged him to lock down the economy or 2.2 million Americans would die from the China virus.
But President Trump did not say who those “two very smart people” were.

President Trump: The big projection being that 2.2 million people would die if we did nothing. That was another decision we made, close it up. That was a big decision that we made. Two very smart people walked into my office and said listen these are your alternatives. And that was a projection of 1.5 to 2.2 million people would die if we didn’t close it up. That’s a lot of people.

Dr. Fauci later admitted he persuaded the president to shut down and kill off the US economy.
And now we know the model he used to shutdown the economy was a fraud.

This guy has been wrong every step of the way.

UPDATE– THE LIST — Dr. Fauci’s 15 Deadly Mistakes and Contradictions — Including the Devastation of the US Economy Based on a Garbage Model

And now as numbers continue to come in we see that at least 39% or 31,900 coronavirus deaths were at nursing homes.

And we also now understand that like other countries the average coronavirus death is someone close to 80-years-old.

Children and working adults are less likely to succomb to the coronavirus than to a typical seasonal flu bug.

In a sane world Dr. Fauci would be fired and prosecuted for perpetrating such a fraud against the government.

36.5 million unemployed Americans since March. Great Depression level unemployment achievement unlocked. All for a virus that has an estimated < 0.1% fatality rate among working class Americans. We shut down the nation’s economy for a virus that threatens people in nursing homes.
