“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts.
Lord, who has directed Your Spirit, or as Your counselor has taught You?
God, You have chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and You have chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised You have chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in Your presence.
The wind blows where it wishes, and I hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit … born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of You, Lord God.
Jesus’ Spirit remains among us; I do not fear! The battle is not mine, but God’s.
You, Lord, do not save with sword and spear; for the battle is Yours.
Your Spirit, Lord, saves, guides, protects, and brings victory to Your purposes. Thank You for making His power available to me for life’s battles.
