“He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
The systematic devolution of gender by cadres of heterophobic science deniers.
“It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favors.” —George Washington (1789)
This column is something of an outlier, and I suspect it will in some part offend a small number of readers for reasons that will become apparent.
This week, as we prepare to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ, it is a fitting time to raise these issues.
Over the last 30 years, I’ve had a front-row seat to the institutional invasion and damage done by the so-called “LGBT(ad nauseam)” cadres of gender-challenged individuals. The militant heterophobic advocacy for homosexual orthodoxy by their group leaders, endeavoring to normalize gender confusion across the social and cultural spectrum, enables the denial of their own pathology.
This gender diffusion effort constitutes the most consequential organized assault on family and faith in our history. While I would argue that divorce and out-of-wedlock births — broken families and generations of fatherless children — are at the root of the cultural and social entropy that plagues our nation, that societal dissolution is being accelerated by the “gay agenda.”
That gender dysphoric agenda takes the form of absurd manifestations, like the idea that males can compete as females because they are “transgendered.” That is gender appropriation. There is no such thing as transitioning gender — you will forever be the sex you were at the time of conception. To suggest otherwise is to deny the science.
This frontal assault is not led so much by the spectrum of gender-confused individuals, who represent in all forms only 5.6% of the population. They are just political fodder for a crass and calculated assault by Democrat Party politicos. Demos know that faith and family are the foundational pillars of American Liberty, and Liberty is the antithesis of the statist power the Left seeks. The foundational assertion that Liberty is “endowed by our Creator” rather than awarded by the state is antithetical to the ideological Left’s assertion that it should be the licensing arbiter of all freedoms and the ultimate decider of how those freedoms will be “equitably” distributed.
When it comes to support for the homosexual agenda, Democrat Party strategists believe female voters are emotionally incontinent dupes and are thus too irrational to discern and reject emotive political bait. And a majority of women have proven those strategists correct, demonstrating themselves to be the most dependable and easily swayed of the collective constituencies that Demos fire up ahead of general elections. Thus, promoting the homosexual agenda, much as the abortion agenda, attracts female voters.
According to The Washington Post, had the “gender agenda” voters not rallied for Democrats in 2020, Trump would have won.
Democrats in the House have passed the so-called “Equality Act,” and if it passes the Senate — avoids a filibuster — it will codify this leftist agenda and allow it to be used as a club against those family and faith institutions that don’t comport with its orthodoxy. Of course, “equality” is not the Left’s underlying motive, any more than “diversity.” Demos want to keep all their identity constituencies divided up by special interests or innate attributes — and to do so they endeavor to make those interests and attributes more visible, not less.
That being said, the homosexual agenda has become so loud and ubiquitous that most adults believe one in four Americans are LGBT — five times the actual percentage. According to public opinion analysts, women comprise a majority of those who believe those numbers are so much higher — and thus, they must be accommodated by everyone.
The political agendas notwithstanding, there are three fronts where I have witnessed firsthand, up close and personal, how invasive and destructive that agenda has been.
First, the Episcopal Church of the United States of America (ECUSA).
I am a fifth-generation Episcopalian, who, as a young adult, served as a vestry member and in other leadership roles for the governing body of our church. ECUSA is the American franchise of the World Anglican Communion, the latter of which has about 90 million members and has largely held to its Biblical foundation.
The Episcopal Church broke from the Anglican Church of England in 1785, after the American Revolution. It is the wealthiest protestant denomination with the wealthiest congregants. But as I have have written previously, wealth and faith too often mix like oil and water.
The Episcopal Church was the home church of George Washington, and it endured for 200 years since our nation’s founding, until the 2003 ordination of an avowed homosexual bishop shook the scriptural foundation of the church to rubble. That year, the “enlightened” U.S. bishops rebuffed the World Anglican Communion and codified their rejection of Scriptural authority by ordaining Vicky Gene Robinson, a divorced father of two who resided with his homosexual partner, as Bishop of New Hampshire. As such, it became the first mainline protestant denomination to fully embrace and enforce the homosexual agenda.
Eight years before that apostate ordination, I was invited to leave the Episcopal Church because of my (apparently effective) vocal opposition to the homosexual agenda’s erosion of the foundational tenets of the church. At the time, ECUSA had 3.5 million members. It now has 1.8 million members, and many of those remaining no longer attend church.
Just this week, William Love, former bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Albany, has announced he is leaving the church after being chastised for not allowing homosexual marriage in his diocese. On his way to the Anglican Church in North America, Love said, “As a cradle Episcopalian (with nearly 30 years of ordained ministry as a deacon, priest and bishop), that was not an easy decision, but given all that has transpired these past couple of years and the constraints placed upon me as a theologically conservative and orthodox bishop … I believe it is the right decision.”
As for those who perform such “marriages,” the fact is that most people drawn to church leadership are big-hearted and at risk of being swallowed up by leftist agendas and a generalized belief that they’re doing the right thing. A recent case in point would be those in the church who have consumed the BLM Kool-Aid and believe the nation is consumed with “systemic racism.”
The effluent of Episcopal “wokeness” is manifest in big and little ways nationwide. Such was the case earlier this month when a prominent, elitist Manhattan Episcopal school published a guide for avoiding offensive language — like “mom” and “dad.” For a mere $57,000, your child can be indoctrinated too!
In 1995, because my battle within the church was not my family’s battle, we moved to a church where Biblical authority is still foundational, but I remain active in the promotion of the World Anglican Communion’s American church plants. About 200,000 “displaced” Episcopalians have moved to Anglican churches.
Second, Bethany Christian Services (BCS).
For a decade, I served as board chairman for Tennessee’s largest adoption agency, Bethany Christian Services. There were many battles to be fought on behalf of successful adoptions, and I knew that we would eventually be forced to deal with the issue of adoption by homosexuals. Earlier this year, in order to retain its licensing in states where homosexual adoption was permitted, BCS changed its policy to allow such adoptions.
My former BCS colleague David Fowler, who now heads an influential family and faith policy organization, offered this observation: “When I was on the board of BCS Tennessee, we struggled with some of the decisions and priorities coming out of the parent organization in Michigan. Bethany purports to be a Christian organization, not just an adoption agency, but it has lost its belief in the goodness and glory of God manifested in creating us male and female and their union as the means by which the creation was to be further filled and formed by their offspring. To say that the love of children can be divorced from God’s creational design for the family is not a holy love and puts something, no matter how good and loving it sounds, above the glory of God Himself as creator and the call of Christians to bear witness to the glory of God manifested in the way He created.”
To the broader point of populist agendas eroding the foundation of the Christian Church, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary President Albert Mohler offered this warning to Christian organizations: “The story of Bethany Christian Services is a tale of the head-on collision between sexual revolutionaries and Christian organizations and ministries who resist the new moral orthodoxy of modernity. … Language matters, and the word ‘parents’ has meant for nearly all human history something that is now deliberately confused and subverted. The moral chaos of the sexual revolution has shifted the entire way we think about the family. … The attempt to redefine what it means to be a parent, a mother, a father, and a family is an attempt to redefine civilization. It’s just that ambitious. It’s also happening before our eyes. Bethany Christian Services has now surrendered to the sexual revolution and the attempts to reshape the family into new form that violates God’s good design. … There is reason to believe that the Supreme Court will rule in favor the Christian charities and adoption agencies in the city, but BCS went ahead and changed their policies. In other words, Bethany Christian Services surrendered even before the battle began. … Bethany Christian Services buckled under the pressure. Try as they may to walk the tightrope, there is no middle ground between the moral revolution and biblical orthodoxy. Christians must understand this: Pressure is mounting on all fronts and it will confront every single Christian institution, school, congregation, denomination, and ministry. Period.”
Mohler added: “The moral revolutionaries will come with rhetoric designed to lead your institutions into full retreat and surrender. They will tell you: ‘Think about how many more students your school will be able to teach if you adopt our policies on gender and sexuality.’ They will coerce you with, ‘We will not partner with your ministry if you continue to hold these convictions — so, in the name of serving others, just abandon your beliefs about homosexuality and transgenderism.’ We can understand this argument and the realities of this kind of pressure. This pressure, however, is a recipe for the absolute dissolution of Christianity in the United States. It is an attempt to erase our witness not only in the public square, but even within the confines of our own ministries.”
Finally, the Boy Scouts of America (BSA).
I have been a BSA leader for two decades. I’m the father of two Eagle Scouts, and I still serve on an Executive Council in a conservative part of the country.
Common sense, which is sometimes rare in boardroom vacuums, dictates that sexual predators flock to where their prey are. It was becoming apparent that, much as was the case in the Catholic Church, there were homosexual pedophiles who had assaulted young boys, and there would be a legal reckoning for that sexual predation.
Notably, about 4% of Catholic clerics had credible or substantiated accusations of child sexual abuse of minors during the last half of the 20th century. What may surprise you is that current studies conclude 5% of public school teachers have had credible or substantiated claims of sexual abuse of minor children under their charge, and that sexual violence in schools is increasing significantly.
As a consequence of predatory sexual abuse claims against Scout leaders over the last 50 years, the national BSA organization declared bankruptcy recently, which will be a never-ending legal cycle unless and until the national BSA corrects its moral bankruptcy.
The lesson with the BSA is that for organizations that want to raise a lot of money, and thus put wealthy corporate types on their boards, that has proven to be a Faustian bargain.
The common denominators in each of these cases are homosexual predators and the homosexual agenda. In each case, it was the national organizations that dictated to the local organizations that they would have to bow to that agenda. In the end, there will eventually be interesting sociological studies to determine the fallout when the children affected by these decisions become adults.
Trump launches new website – here’s what it’s doing On Monday, former President Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump launched a new website to coordinate his future public appearances and promote his “America First” political vision. The website is titled The Office of Donald J. Trump and is registered with the domain name, 45Office.com. The website comes amid speculation about Trump’s political aspirations after losing reelection in 2020.
Gallup, veteran of polls, documents worst-ever figure for churches For the first time ever, fewer than half of Americans say they are members of a church, synagogue or mosque, and a Christian apologist says that figure should alarm those who are sitting in the pews on Sunday morning. The steady decline in church attendance among Americans has been documented for decades, meaning it is not making headlines anymore, but Gallup reports the under-50% is a first time for a nation birthed by the demand to worship freely without fear of the king’s soldiers at the door.

First interstellar comet may be the most pristine ever found New observations with the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope (ESO’s VLT) indicate that the rogue comet 2I/Borisov, which is only the second and most recently detected interstellar visitor to our Solar System, is one of the most pristine ever observed. Astronomers suspect that the comet most likely never passed close to a star,
Biden & Democrats: ‘American lives don’t matter’ We know Democrats support “Black Lives Matter.” It’s all they talk about. While I’m no fan of the Marxist BLM organization, I think all of us can agree that black lives matter. No one wants a single law-abiding, innocent black American to die needlessly. But someone needs to ask puppet President Joe Biden and every Democratic politician in Washington, D.C., a simple question: Do American lives matter?Because, from their actions, it’s pretty darn clear that they don’t. It seems like they’re purposely trying to destroy the lives of American citizens.

Rare Tyrian Second Temple Silver Shekel “Rediscovered” A Second Temple era coin was recently “rediscovered” in the Tower of David Museum. Originally uncovered in excavations in Jerusalem in the 1980s, the rare coin was stored away and forgotten until the box containing the artifacts was reopened during a recent restoration project. Tyrian shekels, tetradrachms, or tetradrachmas were Phoenician coins from the city of Tyre, now part of Lebanon, which were used in the Roman Empire from 126 BCE until 56 CE.

Is it ‘too late’ for America to be spared God’s judgment?Posted: 30 Mar 2021 06:41 PM PDT(OPINION) CP – California megachurch Pastor John MacArthur spoke about the possibility that the United States is already under judgment for its acceptance of progressive sexual ethics, among other things, during his Palm Sunday sermon.MacArthur preached a sermon at Grace Community Church of Sun Valley titled “Chosen in Him,” mainly focused on Mark 12 and the passage commonly known as the Parable of the Vineyard Owner. The parable speaks of a vineyard owner who allowed tenants to oversee his vineyard, only to have them take control of it and kill everyone the owner sent to collect on what they grew.Continue reading Is it ‘too late’ for America to be spared God’s judgment? at End Time Headlines.
Hillary just can’t stop projecting her offenses onto her political opponents.
If there’s one thing the Clintons have always done well, it’s projection. They are masters of accusing their political opponents of doing the very thing they themselves are doing. Decrying the “politics of personal destruction,” for example, was a favorite refrain of the Clintons in the ‘90s — all while they personally attacked and destroyed people.
Hillary Clinton made the latest entry in this wretched practice with her vitriol against gun owners and Second Amendment defenders.
In excerpts from a soon-to-be-released interview with her own former campaign spokeswoman, Jennifer Palmieri, Clinton railed against Senator Ted Cruz and other Republicans who oppose restricting gun rights and banning guns.
“The opportunists on the other side, like Cruz and his ilk, they know better,” Clinton argued. “They are in the position of trying to keep people really riled up and scared that sensible gun legislation like we had in the ’90s for 10 years will somehow undermine their rights.” She continued, “Well, what about the rights of all the rest of us? The rights of us to go to work, go shopping, go on dates to the movie theater, go to school, for heaven’s sakes. What about the rest of us?”
But she wasn’t done. “You know, democracy is the balancing of interests and rights,” she explained, “and unfortunately at this time, the gun worshipers have a huge advantage because of the filibuster and because of their shameless exploitation of people’s unwarranted fears.”
Where to begin?
We suppose, first of all, we should address the projection. It is Democrats who routinely stand on the caskets of innocents to push for “common sense” gun control — laws that ban, restrict, or even confiscate firearms and components from the law-abiding in the name of stopping criminals from … breaking the law. It is Democrats who exploit people’s unwarranted fears by inflating mass shooting numbers and “gun deaths” generally so that they can blame the tools (and by extension lawful owners of those tools) rather than the perpetrators. It is Democrats who express selective outrage over certain murders to “keep people riled up and scared” while ignoring the culturally depraved bloodbath in Democrat-controlled inner cities.
Clinton commits at least two other offenses that require rebuttal. The first is about our system of government and rights. Our nation is a republic, not a democracy. And our government’s job is not to “balance” interests and rights; it is to, in the words of the Declaration of Independence, “secure these rights.” Moreover, securing the God-given right to self-defense does not deprive someone else of their “right” to go to a movie, as Clinton argues. Besides, if going to a movie is suddenly a right, what are all these Democrat governors doing closing movie theaters with pandemic restrictions? Never mind keeping kids out of schools.
Finally, Clinton has engaged in, well, the politics of personal destruction. The same woman who in 2016 dismissively rejected half the American population as a “basket of deplorables” now slanders the 100 million or so Americans who own firearms as “gun worshipers.” Substitute “abortion” for “guns” and see how Democrats like it. Barack Obama once derided us for “bitterly clinging to guns.” Other Democrats likewise mock and cajole responsible gun owners for some kind of dogmatic offense.
Perhaps instead of these mean-spirited personal attacks they might consider their constitutional oaths and the true meaning of rights. In the meantime, they should quit projecting their faults onto the rest of us.
According to SOCOM, Mr. Richard Torres-Estrada will be implementing the “USSOCOM Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan, which will guide the enterprise-wide effort to institutionalize and sustain Diversity and Inclusion.”
You would think, given the defense secretary’s recent “stand-down order” for a “top to bottom” review of military personnel in order to purge “political extremists” (a.k.a. “Trump supporters”), that somebody would have noticed Torres-Estrada’s left-wing social media posts before his appointment to oversee “Diversity and Inclusion” in the ranks of our nation’s most highly trained operators carrying out highly classified operations.
For the record, a quick check of Torres-Estrada’s work history indicates that he has the same military service record as the commander-in-chief who appointed him — none. But he does have a long bureaucratic history as a diversity officer. Given the fact Joe Biden spent more than 45 years in the swamp doing nothing, I assume that Torres-Estrada looked “highly qualified.”
His reassignment not withstanding, Biden will announce some other woke Chief of Diversity and Inclusion to “institutionalize and sustain D&I” at SOCOM. Thus, I am including this note from my friend, Robert Schmidt, offering some timely perspective from a professional warfighter on the Demos’ “woke” military agenda:
My last assignment in the military, I was the Chief of Current Intelligence (the highest ranking naval officer in the Intelligence Directorate) of Special Operations Command South, the multi-service organization that oversaw the activities of all special operations forces in Central and South America, plus the Caribbean. By “special operations forces,” I am referring to naval special warfare operators (SEALs), Army Special Forces warriors (“green berets”), and other national assets. Though I am now retired from the Navy — which is why I am free to express my views publicly — I doubt that our special operators view the concept of “diversity and inclusion” and the Left’s “identity politics” differently now.
I have never been in any working environment that supported the concept of true “diversity and inclusion” more than the special operations world. The special operators I encountered were from many different races, ethnicities, nationalities, and religions, and they all worked together as one cohesive team, ignoring any identity factors that did not somehow affect the mission. For example, native Spanish speakers with dark complexions and hair blended in better in some Latin American operational environments than pale, red-haired, non-Spanish speakers. When I refer to “diversity and inclusion” in the spec ops world, I’m not referring to it as defined by the political Left. I’m referring to literal “diversity and inclusion,” not the “woke” nonsense.
To the Left, “diversity and inclusion” is based on the premise: “We believe minority groups cannot compete equally in this white-biased world, because it was intentionally built to be inherently unfair to minorities, so we’re changing the rules to give minority people advantages to help them succeed, even if they are not the most qualified from the standpoint of skills, education, or abilities.” In the spec ops world, the concept of “diversity and inclusion” is both more straightforward and more complex, because it’s not about “who wins,” it’s about “who qualifies.” Thus, in the universe of special operations, “diversity and inclusion” have nothing whatsoever to do with “minority status,” based on skin color, race, ethnicity, national origin, or religion.
For special operators, it’s all about the good of the team, and any person, of any race, religion, ethnicity, or national origin, who has the operational skills, the loyalty to the team’s code of conduct, and the physical courage required to carry out the mission, is respected for their abilities and achievements, and is welcome to be on the team. All others are not welcome, because their unwillingness or inability to do what is required is not good for the team and might adversely impact the team’s ability to successfully execute the mission.
So, what matters most is a person’s abilities and their courage to complete the mission, not their “diversity.” Special operators celebrate and admire achievement and success, not “identity.”
Taking all of the foregoing into consideration, the next “Chief of Diversity and Inclusion” at SOCOM will not improve the morale or the operational effectiveness of special ops teams. That Biden appointee is going to be a nuisance that must be tolerated. The last thing SOCOM needs is to have its modus operandus dictated by a career bureaucrat — especially one who has never served our nation in uniform. Special operations is a very dangerous occupation, but “woke” politicians and their “social justice warriors” don’t care about military mission. All those leftist cadres care about is the warm, fuzzy feeling of smug self-satisfaction they get from virtue signaling — forcing their “morally superior” policies on the rest of us. They do so at great peril to our nation.
Finally, Biden and Harris probably missed this Harvard Business Review study, “Why Diversity Programs Fail.” The authors note: “In analyzing three decades’ worth of data from more than 800 U.S. firms, and interviewing hundreds of line managers and executives at length, we’ve seen that companies get better results when they ease up on the control tactics. … Companies do a better job of increasing diversity when they forgo the control tactics and frame their efforts more positively.”
I’m sure the same holds true in government bureaucracies, but “diversity and inclusion” is not the leftists’ underlying motive. They want to keep all their constituents divided up by innate attributes — and to do so they have to make those attributes more visible, not less.
San Diego is teaching undocumented migrant children in-person while the state’s six million public school students remain locked out.
If you have school-aged children and you’re living in a Democrat-controlled lockdown state, Kamala Harris is laughing at you. No, really, she is. Take a look.
That video, by the way, was from her trip last week to West Haven Child Development Center in Connecticut. By now, she’s probably ROTFL, given the decision of San Diego schoolteachers to provide in-person instruction to unaccompanied immigrant children being housed at the San Diego Convention Center — despite the alarmingly high COVID-19 infection rate among those children.
As The Washington Free Beacon reports, “The San Diego County Office of Education published a notice Monday asking for local teachers to participate in an ‘in-person educational program’ for unaccompanied migrant girls who are being held in a convention center.”
Remember: California’s six million public school kids have been consigned to virtual learning (read: non-learning) for more than a year thanks to the teachers unions and the state’s governor, Gavin Newsom, whose own children have been back in school for months while reaping the benefits of an in-person, private-school education.
It’s good to be the king.
As for the high rate of coronavirus infection among those immigrant children: Wasn’t the risk of infection the entire point of locking down our schools and “educating” our children remotely? Isn’t that precisely why our nation’s lazy, greedy, and cowardly teachers unions have ignored the science and resisted the calls of everyone from Donald Trump to Chuck Schumer to reopen the schools and rescue our children from the multifaceted failure of remote learning? Isn’t that what the unions’ members were afraid of — getting what for 99.7% of us has been the functional equivalent of a bad cold?
Shut up, San Diego County School Superintendent Paul Gothold explained.
“All children in California, regardless of immigration status, have a constitutional right to education,” said Gothold. “We also have a moral obligation to ensure a bright future for our children. School employees have already been asked to go above and beyond during the pandemic, and we are committed to ensuring every student has access to a quality education while they are in our region.” So why can’t these kids learn remotely like other California kids? Remotely from their home countries.
“A quality education” is certainly a noble goal. And we’re all in favor of following one’s “moral obligations.” But what about the obligation that our nation’s teachers have to the children of American citizens? Aren’t we incessantly told by the Left that everything it does is “for the children”?
Stanford University Professor of Medicine Jay Bhattacharya recently declared the COVID-19 lockdowns to be the country’s “single worst public health mistake” in the last 100 years.
“We will be counting the catastrophic health and psychological harms, imposed on nearly every poor person on the face of the earth, for a generation,” said Bhattacharya, who months ago coauthored the commonsensical Great Barrington Declaration.
And if our predominantly blue-state lockdowns were our worst public health mistake of the past century, then our predominantly blue-state school lockdowns have been the worst of the worst.
As County Supervisor Jim Desmond put it, “The San Diego County Board of Education will be sending teachers for in-person learning for the migrant children at the convention center. It’s great there’s in-person learning for them, I wish every child in San Diego County was allowed the same opportunity.”
Indeed, for every child in San Diego County, and for every child currently suffering under the abject failure of remote learning.
Initially, the shift was a matter of necessity. As entire school systems remained closed for in-person learning, and virtual learning was shown to be largely ineffective, parents looked for ways to make sure their children didn’t fall behind. Unable to afford private schooling, many parents turned to homeschooling.
Other parents, whose children were doing school virtually, got to see firsthand their children being indoctrinated by the destructive Critical Race Theory and its call for “social justice,” which taught children to hate their country and anyone who is white. They were also immersed in “gender theory,” which teaches the lie that sex/gender is a social construct rather than a biological reality.
This is on top of the inherent and embedded flaws in America’s public school system, an anachronistic throwback to the dawn of the Industrial Age, when industrial barons sought to give rural men, women, and children just enough education to mold them into compliant workers.
As Frederick T. Gates, chairman of the General Education Board (founded and funded by industrialist John D. Rockefeller to push for mandatory schooling), declared, “In our dream … the people yield themselves with perfect docility to our molding hand. The present educational conventions fade from our minds; and, unhampered by tradition, we work our own good will upon a grateful and responsive rural folk. We shall not try to make these people or any of their children into philosophers or men of learning or of science. We are not to raise up among them authors, orators, poets, or men of letters.”
The results have been disastrous over time. In 2019, nearly 70% of America’s schoolchildren did not meet reading proficiency standards set by the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), and that was a decline from the previous year.
As poor as the state of education in America has become in recent decades, the quality plummeted even more over the last year as the number of hours students spent learning declined precipitously.
It’s hard to know which situation is worse — millions of children going to school to be poorly educated, or not going to school at all.
Teachers unions have fought tooth and nail to prevent schools from reopening, even as they demand higher pay, more resources, and fewer hours worked. In Chicago, teachers were told not to reveal they had been vaccinated because it would undermine the union’s efforts to keep teachers working from home. As of last month, less than half of America’s elementary schools were open for full-time classroom instruction, doing irreparable damage to the children’s long-term learning and lifetime earnings prospects.
And that’s not even factoring in the incredible emotional damage being done to children who have been kept in a constant state of fear and isolated from their friends and peer groups. Rates of depression and suicide among children and teens have jumped as government-enforced lockdowns dragged on.
If one thing has become abundantly clear, it’s that with Democrat politicians and teachers unions, the welfare of America’s children is the absolute last thing on their mind.
But as these politicians and unions abdicate their duty to America’s children, parents are finally waking up and taking responsibility for their children’s education.
According to a recent report by the Census Bureau, there has been an explosion in the number of parents opting to homeschool their children. It should be noted that the enrollment question was written in such a way as to verify true homeschooling rather than virtual learning through a public or private school.
Between 1999 and 2012, homeschooling rates roughly doubled, and since then held steady at about 3.3% of all American schoolchildren. By April 2020, that had increased to 5.4%, only to see an even bigger jump by the first week of October to 11.1%.
Maybe the most striking thing about the surge in homeschooling is where it is occurring. By far the largest jump in homeschooling has come in black households, where rates jumped from 3.3% before the pandemic to 16.1% by the fall, a nearly five-fold increase. The rate for Hispanic households nearly doubled, from 6.2% to 12.1%, with a jump from 4.9% to 8.8% in Asian households. White households nearly doubled as well, from 5.7% to 9.7%.
When the pandemic is finally in the rearview, we will be hard-pressed to find anything positive about the period dominated by government lockdowns, mask mandates, widespread fear, millions of jobs lost, and freedoms infringed upon or stripped away under the guise of combating the virus.
Yet one bright silver lining may just be that we reached a critical mass of parents who finally realized not only how inadequate was the “education” delivered by our national public school system but how much anti-religious, anti-science indoctrination had been occurring.
We may find that we now have millions more children educated by the parents who love them and are deeply invested in their success. Parents who taught their children not only reading, writing, and arithmetic but taught them to love God, love their country, love themselves, and love their fellow man.
A Christian prof pursues a lawsuit against a university that dismissed him for refusing to use preferred pronouns.
A three-judge panel of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously ruled last Friday in favor of former Shawnee State University professor Nicholas Meriwether, overturning a lower court’s decision that had dismissed the professor’s lawsuit against the university for violating his First Amendment rights. Meriwether contends that SSU violated his rights by dismissing him after he refused on religious grounds to address a gender-dysphoric student by his preferred feminine pronouns.
Back in 2018, a male student in Meriwether’s philosophy class approached the professor requesting that he be referred to by feminine pronouns due to his gender “identity.” When Meriwether refused, on the grounds that doing so would compromise his deeply held Christian beliefs, the student became irate and vulgar, promising to get the professor fired and taking the matter to the dean, claiming a Title IX violation.
Initially, the school accepted a compromise from Meriwether wherein he would only use the student’s last name without any gendered titles, such as “Mr.” or “Miss.” However, administrators soon changed their minds after the student objected and threatened to hire a lawyer. Meriwether was subsequently fired for refusal “to recognize” a student’s gender identity and for “disparate treatment” that created “a hostile environment.”
In issuing his decision, Judge Amul Thapar, a Donald Trump appointee, wrote, “[Meriwether’s] sincerely held religious beliefs prevented him from communicating messages about gender identity that he believes are false.” Even in a private university, he added, “the First Amendment protects the academic speech of university professors.”
Thapar further observed, “Traditionally, American universities have been beacons of intellectual diversity and academic freedom. They have prided themselves on being forums where controversial ideas are discussed and debated. And they have tried not to stifle debate by picking sides. But Shawnee State chose a different route: It punished a professor for his speech on a hotly contested issue. And it did so despite the constitutional protections afforded by the First Amendment. The district court dismissed the professor’s free-speech and free-exercise claims. We see things differently and reverse.”
While this is indeed a win for Prof. Meriwether, it is far from decisive, as it simply allows him to proceed with his wrongful dismissal lawsuit against SSU. He has no guarantee of succeeding. Regarding the larger culture war issue — free speech versus compelled speech — this decision is certainly welcome, though it still isn’t anywhere near as decisive as what’s needed. However, it does push back against the assertion often advanced by the Left: that constitutional protections like the First Amendment can only be applied when directly involving government authority. Free speech is a cultural value, not just a right for Congress to protect.
It will be telling to see if Meriwether’s lawsuit is successful now that he’s won the right to continue pursuing it.
Democrats love to talk about “gun deaths,” but they hate to talk about the cultural conditions that cause them.
“Shootings never stopped during the pandemic,” blared the Washington Post headline. “2020 was the deadliest gun violence year in decades.”
The numbers bear it out: According to the article, there were 3,600 more shooting deaths in 2020 than in 2017, the next-deadliest recent year. This marks the highest one-year increase in homicides since such record-keeping began, and much of it occurred in our nation’s big cities, which saw a 30% spike.
The Post then goes on to decry this awful increase of deaths, noting that the majority of “gun violence” occurs “in Black and Brown communities” and pointing the finger at the scourge of COVID-19. The spread of the virus, the article tells us, hurt anti-crime efforts; the shutdowns increased unemployment and shuttered schools and other community programs; and all this generally jacked up our stress levels.
True enough. It stands to reason that folks are more on edge during a pandemic. But then the Post points the finger at police brutality: “The police killing of George Floyd,” the authors write, “caused the collapse of public confidence in law enforcement.”
Ah, yes. Nothing turns our nation’s “Black and Brown communities” into urban O.K. Corrals like a single rogue cop in South Minneapolis.
And yet, buried 11 paragraphs deep within the article is this telling statistic: “An analysis of data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found Black males between the ages of 15 and 34 accounted for 37 percent of gun homicides, even though they made up 2 percent of the U.S. population — a rate 20 times that of White males of the same age.”
So, young black men are gunning each other down at a rate 20 times that of young white men. But the Post’s Reis Thebault and Danielle Rindler don’t seem the least bit interested in drilling down into this awful statistic. Nor do any of the researchers, social scientists, and urban studies professors they interviewed for the piece.
Why, it’s as if they’re worried they’ll be branded as racists for suggesting that culture might have something to do with it. Barack Obama had eight years to address this issue, but he pretty much squandered the bully pulpit. Even today, he seems utterly uninterested in asking the tough questions.
“It is long past time for those with the power to fight this epidemic of gun violence to do so,” Obama wrote last week. “It will take time to root out the disaffection, racism and misogyny that fuels so many of these senseless acts of violence. But we can make it harder for those with hate in their hearts to buy weapons of war. We can overcome opposition by cowardly politicians and the pressure of a gun lobby that opposes any limit on the ability of anyone to assemble an arsenal. We can, and we must.”
Obama, though, like others on the Left, is missing the key points about violence entirely.
First, while deaths caused by firearms are indeed up, mass shootings of the kind that compelled him to write the above piece are down considerably. According to the Post’s own database, “There was one mass shooting every 73 days in 2020, compared with one every 36 days in 2019 and one every 45 days in 2017 and 2018.” (And that’s with a pretty generous definition of “mass shooting.” Very few of those are Atlantas or Boulders.)
Second, most intentional deaths inflicted with guns in this country aren’t committed by “those with hate in their hearts” turning their “weapons of war” on one another. No, most of them are self-inflicted. Last year, gun suicides outnumbered gun homicides roughly 24,000 to 20,000.
Third, regarding those “weapons of war,” Obama is no doubt referring to the Left’s favorite Second Amendment bogeyman — the so-called assault rifle. And yet, according to FBI crime reports, of the more than 100,000 gun homicides in the U.S. between 2007 and 2017, only 253 were victims of an AR-type rifle. That’s about one-fourth of 1% — or one death for every 400 inflicted by guns. So let’s stop talking about “assault weapons” as if they’re really part of the problem.
And finally, let’s start talking about the cultural crime scene whereby one race of Americans slaughters each other at a far, far higher rate than any other race or ethnic group. Let’s see if we can get Obama and others to stop obsessing about the 14 unarmed blacks who were fatally shot by police in 2019, and instead start talking about the 6,500-or-so blacks being murdered each year by other blacks. Unless and until we do, our nation’s black-on-black genocide will continue unchecked.
Team Biden-Harris ponders a vaccine passport for travel, while Florida’s governor pledges to protect residents’ privacy.
Will Americans need COVID-19 vaccine passports in order to travel? The Biden-Harris administration is reportedly looking into creating such vaccine-related credentials for travel, most specifically regarding airline travel. According to reports, the airline industry has been lobbying the White House to come up with some kind of health form verification in order to end both traveler confusion and lift current travel restrictions.
Working with technology and travel companies, the Department of Health and Human Services has taken the lead in “coordinating government agencies involved in the work, led by coronavirus coordinator Jeff Zients.” Zients explained, “Our role is to help ensure that any solutions in this area should be simple, free, open source, accessible to people both digitally and on paper, and designed from the start to protect people’s privacy.”
The obvious problem with a vaccine passport is that it creates yet more government intrusion into our private lives. Furthermore, it opens up a Pandora’s box for potential legalized medical-based discrimination.
While the White House is actively considering some form of vaccine passport program, Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis pledged to do just the opposite, promising on Monday to take executive action to prohibit vaccine passports.
DeSantis explained his position: “We’ve always said we want to provide [the COVID vaccine] for all but mandate it for none. Now, with something that while it was advised to take, particularly if you’re vulnerable, we were not going to force you to do it. So, there was never under discussion any mandates to take vaccines. … The flip side of that, though, with these vaccine passports, it’s completely unacceptable for either the government or the private sector to impose upon you the requirement that you show proof of vaccine to just simply be able to participate in normal society. … So, we’re not supportive of that. I think it’s something that people have certain freedoms and individual liberties to make decisions for themselves.”
DeSantis also signed into law legislation that protects business from being held liable for COVID-19. “We don’t want to be in a situation where people are scared of being sued, just for doing normal things,” he contended. “And so, we worked very early on to look at to see ways that we could provide some certainty for both businesses, and healthcare providers. This was obviously a top priority for many of us up here. And I think that the legislature has been able to deliver today.”
The simple fact is the loss of privacy leads directly to a loss of individual freedom. The excuse being made today for needing a vaccine travel passport for COVID is to ensure safety, but it will quite likely be expanded to include other medical conditions. As more folks are vaccinated and as our country and the world gets closer to herd immunity, the current travel restrictions can naturally be relaxed and eliminated. If other countries make demands for entry, they are more than free to do so. But in the U.S., we prize Liberty and protect individual freedom. This attitude should be expressed in our reaction to COVID.
Leftists are pushing “equality” as a way to silence faithful believers.
It’s been happening for a while, but we’ve pretended what we were seeing wasn’t really happening. It always starts slow, and usually happens to someone else. There was the Christian baker who didn’t want to bake a cake, a florist who didn’t want to do flowers, and a photographer who didn’t want to provide services for same-sex weddings.
Because leftists belong to the party of “tolerance,” they decided to destroy the livelihoods of these folks to put the fear of “god” into them. The baker won his case before the Supreme Court, but leftists continue working to destroy him because he will not bow to their will.
Several California communities ruled that people cannot have Bible studies in their homes for some reason. Churches were targeted during the pandemic with threats of jail time and severe fines for those who dare to think they should obey God rather than men.
The Left is melting down because a small Christian university had the nerve to make it to the Sweet Sixteen basketball finals. According to one social justice warrior/reporter, that was a bridge too far. “Oral Roberts University isn’t the feel good March Madness story we need,” she wrote. Personally, I find it ironic that the Ohio State team took a knee during the national anthem and was beaten by a lesser-rated team. Turns out the lesser-rated team was ORU!
Because ORU has biblical standards of behavior and a code of conduct, that was too much for this “Diversity & Inclusion” reporter. Anyone else see the irony here? Once again I quote my favorite philosopher, Inigo Montoya from “The Princess Bride,” who remarked to Vizzini; “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”
To leftists, diversity means, Agree with us or we’ll destroy you! This reporter seems to think people of faith have no place on the basketball court or anywhere else. She wants to see that schools like ORU never have another opportunity to compete in the public square. The Church, in my opinion, has avoided the fight of standing its ground on moral issues for far too long. The government is bringing the fight to the Church’s front door.
Think I’m being overly sensitive to ORU? Consider the “Equality Act” being pushed by every leftist in Congress. The “equality” they are pursuing is only for the radical Left. People of faith will see what little accommodations we now have in the public square disappear. Read the legislation for yourself.
The Equality Act isn’t about equality at all. We have that under the Constitution. Leftists want gay rights to trump all other rights. The homosexual demand for fairness began years ago when sodomy laws were repealed. Then it was demanding same-sex marriage. How will my gay marriage hurt you? We just want the right to marry, they told us. The Supreme Court legalized it; the Left demanded we accept it. No equality, just our unconditional surrender!
Think I’m kidding? Ask Jack Phillips, the Colorado baker who won his case before the Supreme Court in 2018. Thought that settled it? The Left ignored the High Court and came after him again.
Time to wake up and tell your senators to kill this legislation while we can. There are no other options but to fight back or surrender.
Marketing professor Gene Del Vecchio explains why this matters.
Gene Del Vecchio is a consultant and adjunct professor of marketing at the USC Marshall School of Business. So he knows a branding problem when he sees one.
While the Republican Party makes a strong case for their various platforms, too often they lose the marketing battle. Unfortunately, that is the only consequential battle in Washington D.C.
The power of marketing is derived from the astute ability to identify a target audience, craft a simple yet powerful message, and effectively disseminate it to voters. Unlike the Republican Party, Democrats have honed this ability for decades with powerful effect.
Del Vecchio relates the story of the abortion debate in the 1960s, when Democrats realized they were outmaneuvered by the “right to life” slogan. Before long, the “right to choose” became their rallying cry and public opinion shifted dramatically their way.
Immigration is another such subject:
The use of the term “illegal alien” has deep roots. … The U.S. has used the term “alien” almost since the country’s inception, having been referenced in the 1790 Naturalization Act that provided the first guidelines for granting citizenship. …
Those in favor of the phrase say it is simply descriptive. Liberals believe it to be dehumanizing, and they fired up the marketing machine.
In politics, shrewd marketing influences public opinion, which empowers legislators, which changes laws. In many ways, politics is marketing.
The only recent, significant example of Republican leadership out-marketing Democrat leadership was the 2016 election. Then-candidate Donald Trump had a more effective, benefit-oriented slogan — Make America Great Again — versus Clinton’s non-benefit slogan — I’m with Her.
After four long years of the Democrat marketing machine going “into hyperdrive” to tear down Trump, he lost. “Trump did not lose the presidency due to his policies. He was outperformed by far superior marketing.” And if Republicans want to succeed, he concludes, this must change.
Throughout, Democrats do a superb job of thinking strategically and acting tactically, for the long game, which proves them to be master marketers. Republicans are simply not as skilled and are sometimes hampered by their scruples, and so they will fall further behind unless they understand that espousing sound policy is not enough. They need smart, more aggressive marketing that uses a greater array of tools.
“It’s everywhere”: Parents group fights left-wing indoctrination in schools (Washington Times)
“A group of parents alarmed by what they see as left-wing indoctrination sweeping through K-12 schools on Tuesday announced a new online clearinghouse of information designed to help families navigate what’s happening in their children’s classrooms. Nicole Neily, president of the group, Parents Defending Education, said parents are hungry for information to fight back against a curriculum that increasingly promotes racial and social justice ideology. ‘There’s this feeling among some that this is just a New York and California thing, but it’s not; it’s everywhere,’ she said. ‘It’s in private schools, parochial schools and red states.’ … Ms. Neily said thousands of parents are unaware of what’s going on or are deeply disturbed by it but unsure how to fight back, leaving them feeling alone and helpless. She envisions DefendingEd.org as a network of concerned parents who can swap horror stories and seek political or legal solutions.”
Spendthrift Democrats’ infrastructure boondoggle to be “funded” by corporate tax hike (Fox Business)
“Overall, the administration intends to spend around $650 billion on revamping bridges and roads, $300 billion on housing infrastructure, $300 billion on reviving U.S. manufacturing, $400 billion on care for the elderly and disabled, $400 billion on clean-energy credits, as well as an unspecified amount on broadband, water systems and other measures. In order to pay for this legislation, Biden also proposed what he has called the Made in America Tax Plan, which would raise the corporate tax rate to 28% from 21%. It would also increase the minimum tax on multinational corporations to 21% and ‘calculate it on a country-by-country basis so it hits profits in tax havens,’ alongside several other efforts to eliminate perceived loopholes in the corporate tax code.”

In other words, business is labor’s best friend. And to get the work done and produce, labor is business’s best friend. They both work together to benefit the entire country. The Biden approach is just class warfare. That is really their agenda. In a futile effort to redistribute income, they want to tax successful businesses and entrepreneurs. They don’t really care about economic growth. They’re only interested in these left-wing social policies, violating the American dream, violating American traditions, going all the way back to the Founding Fathers. They want to punish success. Observations: “Democrats should display some humility when it comes to African-Americans and voting since it was members of their party who opposed civil rights legislation, defended slavery in the 19th century and promoted “black codes” in Southern state legislatures that denied many rights to former slaves. … Most people are willing to accept the defeat of candidates for whom they voted if they believe the system was fair and the tabulations accurate. WASHINGTON, D.C.—Standing before a massive crowd of cardboard cutouts of Jim Acosta, Jim Acosta humbly accepted ‘The Jim Acosta Award For Courageous And Handsome Journalism’ from himself.
The award ceremony lasted over thirty minutes due to the multiple components of the award Jim Acosta accepted from Jim Acosta:
The Jim Acosta Trophy of Distinguished Journalism adorned with an engraved image of Jim Acosta.
The Jim Acosta Medal of Journalistic Valor, also engraved with Jim Acosta’s likeness.
The Jim Acosta Commemorative T-Shirt, which lists, in 12-point font, the numerous risks taken by Jim Acosta on the front lines as CNN’s Chief White House correspondent.
The Jim Acosta Collector’s Plate, with a watercolor portrait of Jim Acosta.
An autographed copy of Jim Acosta’s book, “The Enemy of the People.” The autograph reads, “To my biggest fan, from your biggest fan. Love, Jim Acosta.”
During Jim Acosta’s acceptance speech, which was printed on the back of The Jim Acosta Commemorative T-Shirt, Jim Acosta recounted being the first-hand witness to some of the most pivotal moments in the history of the United States, like when Jim Acosta yelled super loud at the President of the United States, and that other time when he was called mean names by the President of the United States.
At press time, Jim Acosta was seen filling out a job application for Wendy’s.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN—”Bricks, get yer bricks here, 2 for 10, 2 for 10!” cries John Braxton, 42, as he mills through a Minneapolis crowd gathered outside a courthouse. “Fine bricks, get yer fine bricks here!”
Braxton, like dozens of other concession vendors, down on their luck after a year of low-attendance and no-attendance sports games, has come to Minneapolis to sell his wares to the crowds waiting outside Derek Chauvin’s murder trial. Instead of popcorn and cotton candy, though, he’s selling bricks, Molotov cocktails, and pitchforks. He’s turned in his Cracker Jacks for brass knuckles, his beer for bricks, and his Minnesota Twins foam fingers for foam fingers reading “Black Lives Matter.”
“Honestly, I’m gonna make a fortune,” said Braxton as he sold ten bricks to a white kid visiting from Portland for the show and riot. “These guys are gonna riot no matter what happens in the trial here, so I’m gonna make out like a bandit.”
A 17-year-old Antifa rioter then waved that he wanted two bricks, and Braxton hurled them in his direction. Unfortunately, the Antifa rioter never had a father figure in his life, and so didn’t know how to catch them and was hit square in the face.
“Oop! Sorry, son,” Braxton said.
“Molotovs, get yer Molotovs, hottest Mollies around!” he called out as he moved on through the crowd, selling his goods in hopes of a better life.
Doctors the world over can take a glance and know a newborn baby’s sex, but CNN doesn’t seem to believe the science. In an article discussing a ban on transgender women in women’s sport, the liberal news site went full woke.
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem issued two executive orders on Tuesday, banning young transgender women from competing in high school and college sports with biological women, declaring that “only girls should play girls’ sports.” Noem’s orders came after she declined to sign a bill on the issue for fear of litigation – a move that angered her conservative voters.
CNN took a dim view of Noem’s orders, calling them “transphobic.” In the same article, reporter Devan Cole stated matter-of-factly that “it’s not possible to know a person’s gender identity at birth, and there is no consensus criteria for assigning sex at birth.”
Come again? While gender identity is a thorny issue, and there is indeed no way of knowing what a child will grow up to identify as, assigning a baby’s sex at birth is not a complex process, and takes only a quick peek. While some super-woke activists want to change this and do away with the idea of labeling children male or female altogether, the overwhelming majority of medical professionals assign sex this way, except in the 0.018 percent of births that are intersex.
Commenters online ripped into CNN. “This is beyond farce,” conservative talk show host Jason Rantz tweeted. “This is CNN.”
“10 years ago, you would never have been allowed to write something so nuts at CNN,” another Twitter user chimed in, accusing the news network of denying “reality” itself.
CNN is far from the only news outlet embracing the rhetoric of the woke gender theorists, but it has embraced it with gusto. With Wednesday marking International Transgender Day of Visibility, the site published articles advising readers “how to be a good ally,” and which books to read to help defy “outdated rules of gender.”
On the other side of the aisle, Noem is not the only Republican to ban transgender athletes from female sports. The governors of Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas all signed similar bills into law this month. Arkansas’ Republican-controlled legislature has also passed a bill that would forbid minors from receiving gender transition procedures. CNN described these procedures as “life-saving medical care,” seemingly ignoring the research that most children “grow out” of their transgender identity, as well as some studies that indicate that those who transition have a higher likelihood of suicide afterwards.
Government Technology Agency (GovTech) staff demonstrate Singapore’s new contact-tracing smarthphone app called TraceTogether. (Photo credit: CATHERINE LAI/AFP via Getty Images)
The Biden administration’s vaccine passport scheme is just the teeny-tiny tip of a massive privacy invasion iceberg. A year ago this week, I began chronicling the worldwide weaponization of COVID-19 by big government and big business to trace and track the health data of untold hundreds of millions of human beings. Let’s review.
In March 2020, Singapore unleashed a Bluetooth app called “TraceTogether” on Google Play and the Apple Store to track people who tested positive for coronavirus and notify others through their cellphones. For those who argue that participation is completely “voluntary,” bear in mind that Singapore functions as a high-tech dictatorship where refusal to comply with stay-at-home orders and refusal to share GPS location data with health bureaucrats are criminal offenses subject to six months’ imprisonment and/or a $10,000 fine.
The Singapore system was quickly expanded to require users to submit their national ID numbers and passport numbers; a few months later, the government issued wearable tracing “tokens” with QR codes to all 5.7 million residents in Singapore. Plans are in the works to formally mandate TraceTogether enrollment for anyone in cinemas, restaurants, workplaces, schools, and shopping malls.
Dozens of states, plus countries including Germany, the U.K., and a large swath of Canada, now use COVID-19 exposure notification apps akin to Singapore’s that are built on Google and Apple’s Exposure Notification application programming interface.
On March 9, 2020, the Trump administration’s U.S. Department of Health and Human Services unveiled new data rules requiring doctors and hospitals to “send a core set of medical data directly to third-party apps after a patient has authorized the information exchange.” Google, Apple, and Microsoft — all at the forefront of health data mining — sat in on the rule-making process meetings.
The tech oligarchs are in the driver’s seat, not the back of the bus.
As I’ve reported in investigative documentaries and this column for years, Google/YouTube is already knee-deep in mental-health data mining of adults and children despite repeated privacy violations. They’ve mined students’ emails in violation of the federal Family and Educational Rights and Privacy Act. They’ve violated the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. Google secretly harvested tens of millions of medical records with identifying names, lab results, diagnoses, immunization records, and prescriptions from thousands of hospitals across 21 states through “Project Nightingale” — a partnership with Ascension health system to build a search tool and data analytics using machine-learning algorithms.
A year ago this month, Google launched “Verily,” a COVID-19 screening and testing website. California Gov. Gavin Newsom forked over $55 million to subsidize Verily contracts with 28 counties. The contracts allow Google/Verily to mine and share home addresses and medical information with “unnamed contractors and state and federal health authorities,” according to Kaiser Health News.
In April 2020, COVID control freak Anthony Fauci mentioned that the feds had begun investigating “certificates of immunity” for American citizens. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio launched a snitch line urging people to upload photos of businesses not in compliance with social distancing rules. Georgia officials dispatched law enforcement officers to random private homes in Fulton and Dekalb counties to ask residents questions about their health and to collect blood samples for an antibody test.
Police agencies in Florida, Connecticut, and New Jersey deployed drones to enforce social distancing and experiment with fever and facial mask detection. In May 2020, China rolled out temperature armbands to college students. In August 2020, the Butler, New Jersey public schools mandated temperature armbands manufactured by Accwell for students and staff to be worn at all times as a condition of access to public education.
Volan Technology successfully marketed and distributed tracking Bluetooth-enabled “badges” and “beacons” to school districts that can track campus movements of COVID-positive wearers for up to 30 days and identify others with whom they’ve had close contact. Princeton Identity rolled out new touchless biometric and iris scanning products to be installed on college campuses. Online proctoring services that proliferated in the age of COVID, including Proctorio, Factorial, and Respondus Monitor, collect college students’ facial recognition data — which can be sold to third parties.
This week, the Washington Free Beacon obtained a Biden COVID team document outlining a trace-and-track program developed by the University of Illinois using Bluetooth technology that mimics the Singapore model I flagged a year ago.
This week, snoozing Americans finally woke up to the Biden vaccine passport plan and the New York vaccine verification program known as the “Excelsior Pass.” But these credentialing systems have been in the works for years among U.S. and global health agencies, long before “corona” meant nothing more than a beer or bright light to most people. The Vaccination Credential Initiative is a joint endeavor of the feds, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, the Mayo Clinic, electronic medical records giant Epic, Big Pharma CEOs, and globalist nonprofit entities all coordinated by the military-industrial powerhouse MITRE corporation.
These public-private partnerships between tech companies and Surveillance States obliterate any meaningful distinction between “free market” initiatives and government directives. Big tech, big health and big government all work seamlessly to ensure the success of the global trace-and-track regime. There is no freedom to choose in a climate of collusion and a culture of conformity. The conspiracy is real.

In the new pandemic film “Songbird,” phones act as informants that report people to the government.
Now a coalition of Big Tech and mainstream media companies are pushing new technology that could turn your phone or computer into an informant. Everything created on a device with a computer chip could be traced back to the author. Everything. Every post, every photo, and every video will have the creator’s digital signature on it.
It’s the brainchild of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity and it has the backing of the biggest names in tech and establishment media. It’s being applauded as a way to stamp out “disinformation” on the internet. But who decides what is disinformation? Big Tech will decide and will have the tools to punish the person behind it.
Allum Bokhari, a writer at Breitbart.com and author of #DELETED: Big Tech’s Battle to Erase the Trump Movement and Steal the Election, says, “It’s not a bad idea to track down on information that’s false or misleading or deceptive. The problem is who are you going to put in charge of that? The people who have been put on in charge of it over the past four years, Silicon Valley companies, they’ve abused that power to crack down on information and viewpoints that they don’t like. They can use it as a tool of political interference.”
This new project could also help the establishment media, which has been losing audience and money, by censoring the alternative media.
“The entire media, the entire establishment is on board with cracking down on so-called ‘misinformation.’ It’s how they’ve censored the internet over the past four years,” Bokhari says.
We asked the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity if this new technology would have some sort of opt-out provision or a safeguard to prevent it from being used as a weapon against free speech.
SAN DIEGO, CA—Upon hearing that San Diego teachers were providing instruction to migrant children but not American citizens, many clever parents began disguising their kids as illegal immigrants in hopes that their kids could finally see the inside of a classroom.
“OK, Aiden, remember — if they ask you what your name is, just say, ‘No hablo ingles,'” said one parent as she dropped her kid off near the Mexican border in Chula Vista. “And don’t pick at your fake mustache; it’ll fall off. Don’t forget your poncho!”
“I packed you a burrito and some quesadillas for lunch! Love you!”
After waving goodbye to the kids, the parents peeled out in their minivans as they experienced their first taste of freedom in over a year– the kids happily being taught by teachers as the moms went out and got mimosas for brunch.
Unfortunately, the kids do have to sleep in cages with foil blankets now, but the parents say it’s a sacrifice well worth making.
