“He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
There’s a lot of talk about ending racism, and no one really agrees on how to go about doing it. But we’re experts, and experts always know what they’re talking about.
We sat and meditated in our expert brains and came up with the definitive methods for stopping racism in its tracks. Here they are — 10 easy ways to end racism forever:
1. Kill all white people. – An easy one. And if you’re white, well, you know what to do.
2. Pluck out everyone’s eyes. – Can’t be racist if you can’t see.
3. Bravely walk through a riot and give some police officers a cool, refreshing Pepsi. – Effective and refreshing. This tip brought to you by Pepsi. #sponsored
4. Teach everyone to always focus on race as the most important thing about a person. – The only way to end racism is to make sure you’re constantly talking about race and never letting people forget what the color of their skin is for even a second.
5. Have the earth get invaded by flesh-eating aliens so we have a common enemy to unite against. – Bring on the aliens.
6. Segregate people by skin color. – We can’t talk honestly about racism if we’re all just mixed together like a melting pot. We need to segregate into different rooms, schools, and drinking fountains.
7. Steal some Nikes. – Racism will crumble as you bash the window of the Nike store and leave with some sweet kicks.
8. Start an organization to fight racism and use the proceeds to buy multiple mansions. – Every time you buy a big house, forty million racists drop dead.
9. Have an after-school special about how racism is bad, hosted by a cool TV star like Kirk Cameron. – You could have on trendy bands like Hanson and Kris Kross, and the kids would all give up their racist ways.
10. Whatever you do, don’t believe the lie that we’re all one blood and race is a social construct meant to divide us. – This is dangerous Christian brainwashing and will only lead to people treating each other the same. And we can’t defeat racism that way.
Now go forth and punch racism in the face, or at least your neighbor if you suspect he’s a racist!
Warmongers are now firmly in control in Washington, and they are pushing us toward war a little bit more each day. A military conflict with Russia, China or Iran would be a nightmare scenario, but there is also a possibility that we could end up fighting all three of them simultaneously. Such an outcome would have been unthinkable under the Trump administration, but times have changed. Biden administration officials have been boldly declaring that “America is back”, and they have been trying to aggressively exert U.S. influence all over the globe. Unfortunately, the rest of the world is not as intimidated by the U.S. military as it once was.
Tensions with China have been rising for quite some time, and Taiwan has become the central point of contention.
Taiwan continues to edge closer to declaring formal independence, and the Chinese insist that is a red line that must never, ever be crossed.
In recent weeks, the Chinese have been attempting to send a message by repeatedly sending military aircraft into Taiwan’s airspace, and on Monday we witnessed the most alarming incursion yet…
China’s People Liberation Army flew 25 warplanes into Taiwan’s air defence identification zone (ADIZ) on Monday, its largest incursion yet as tension in the Taiwan Strait continues to escalate.
According to Taiwan’s defence ministry, the PLA warplanes – 14 Jian-16 fighter jets, four Jian-10s, four H-6K bombers, two Y-8 anti-submarine warfare planes and one KJ-500 airborne early warning and control aircraft – entered the island’s southwest zone on Monday.
China has been conducting extremely detailed military exercises which simulate an invasion of Taiwan, and the military plans for such an invasion are already drawn up.
Everything is ready to go for when the order is finally given.
“What we’ve seen, and what is of real concern to us, is increasingly aggressive actions by the government in Beijing directed at Taiwan, raising tensions in the Straits. And we have a commitment to Taiwan under the Taiwan Relations Act, a bipartisan commitment that’s existed for many, many years, to make sure that Taiwan has the ability to defend itself, and to make sure that we’re sustaining peace and security in the Western Pacific. We stand behind those commitments. And all I can tell you is it would be a serious mistake for anyone to try to change the existing status quo by force,” Blinken said Sunday during an interview with NBC News’ Meet the Press.
China understands that an invasion of Taiwan would mean war with the United States, and so the Chinese will probably hold off for the moment.
They will be waiting for an opportunity, and that could come when we are tied up with a major military conflict on the other side of the globe.
Speaking of which, the Israeli cyberattack on the Natanz nuclear facility is yet another sign that the “shadow war” between Israel and Iran is getting dangerously close to a shooting war.
Iran blamed Israel on Monday for an attack on its underground Natanz nuclear facility that damaged its centrifuges — sabotage that imperils ongoing talks over Tehran’s tattered nuclear deal and brings a shadow war between the two countries into the light.
Israel has not claimed responsibility for the attack, but Israeli media widely reported that the country had orchestrated a devastating cyberattack that caused a blackout at the nuclear facility. Israeli officials rarely acknowledge operations carried out by the country’s secret military units or its Mossad intelligence agency.
In the aftermath of the attack, Iranian officials pledged to “take revenge” on Israel…
“The Zionists want to take revenge on the Iranian people for their success in lifting the oppressive sanctions, but we will not allow it and we will take revenge on the Zionists themselves,” Zarif said in comments carried by Iran’s official IRNA news agency.
If a major war does erupt and missiles start flying back and forth between Israel and Iran, the U.S. will enter the conflict on the side of Israel.
The Iranian nuclear program has been a seemingly unsolvable problem for a number of years, and I think that Israeli leaders are starting to realize that there simply is not going to be a diplomatic solution.
The deputy head of Russia’s presidential administration, Dmitry Kozak: “I support the assessment that the start of military action – this would be the beginning of the end of Ukraine.”
Of course things would have never gotten to this point if the Biden administration hadn’t decided to use Ukraine as a tool to put pressure on Russia.
I do not think that Russia intends to invade Ukraine right now. But when the Russians learned what the Biden administration and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky were planning, they rapidly massed forces in Crimea and eastern Ukraine.
The Russians are going to keep those forces in the region for the foreseeable future, and that is going to keep tensions high.
Hopefully this show of force will convince Biden administration officials that they should not try to push things any further. Because the Russians are quite willing to strike first if they believe that a move by the other side is imminent.
And once the Russians start pouring across the line of separation, the U.S. and Russia will be at a state of war, and that is something that nobody should want to see.
Of course the United States can’t exactly afford any new wars at this point, because we are absolutely drowning in debt.
If you can believe it, our budget deficit for the month of March was a whopping 660 billion dollars…
The U.S. federal budget deficit widened 454% in March from a year earlier, as the government issued a third round of stimulus checks to help Americans ride out the economic fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The budget gap rose to $660 billion in March, the Treasury Department said Monday, from $119 billion in the same month last year. Revenue rose 13% to $268 billion in March, while spending increased 161% to $927 billion.
A budget deficit of 660 billion dollars for an entire year would be bad enough.
To achieve that level in just one month is catastrophic.
Needless to say, even one war would make our fiscal situation much worse, and multiple conflicts would probably break us financially.
Of course if a global war does erupt, financial problems won’t exactly be among our greatest concerns at that point.
U.S.—A new study performed by experts has confirmed that experts always know what they’re talking about and never, ever just make stuff up to sound smart, experts confirmed today.
“Experts are always to be trusted and have never been wrong before,” said the experts at the recent Expert Conference, Sponsored by Experts. “Experts are so smart. And also really good-looking and not socially awkward. You should be friends with experts, ’cause, uh, experts are really neato.”
“All of this is to say, you really should trust the experts. Experts are way more accurate than the non-experts.” The experts then pointed to a chart that had some lines and circles on it and nodded, looking to one another for confirmation. They all concurred the graphics confirmed their findings that they are smart. They then turned to another panel of experts, who also confirmed that they were smart, in exchange for the original panel of experts saying they are smart back.
At publishing time, experts had further confirmed that you definitely shouldn’t stuff them into lockers and give them wedgies, because they are actually super cool and not nerds who got picked on in high school.
In these two verses, we are told that those who place their faith in King Jesus, will be blessed and shall receive from the Lord righteousness. The second line of verse five is not a reference to the imputation of righteousness which one receives from Christ by believing upon Him, but rather refers to the righteous acts of the Lord in keeping His promises of salvation to the believer.
Could we, who believe upon the Lord Jesus, as we have been brought near to the throne of grace and dwell in the presence of God, declare anything different? Truly we, the people of God, are blessed in every way as we think upon the salvation that has been given to us in Christ. “This is Jacob” or we might say, “This is we who seek the Lord.” We are blessed. For we who have no right to ascend into the presence of God, have been ushered in by Christ. We who only deserve God’s righteous wrath for all eternity, have instead received His righteous grace. This section ends with a “selah,” which means stop and reflect upon what was just said. Upon such a glorious truth, we must stop and reflect!
Suggestions for prayer
Pray that the grace of Christ would be highly valued by you and the church. Thank the Lord for the blessing and salvation that He has freely given to you by His grace.

37:17 Arms often refer to power (89:10), so breaking one’s arm means to render someone powerless (10:15; Jb 38:15; Jr 48:25; Ezk 30:21).
37:17the arms of the wicked shall be broken This refers symbolically to the destruction of strength (Jer 48:25).
37:17 the arms of the wicked will be broken. Their members will be shattered for grabbing and getting wealth (v. 16b). Cf. Job 38:15; Ps 10:15; Jer 48:25; Eze 30:21.
17. “For the arms of the wicked shall be broken.” Their power to do mischief shall be effectually taken away, for the arms which they lifted up against God shall be crushed even to the bone. God often makes implacable men incapable men. What is a more contemptible sight than toothless malice, armless malevolence! “But the Lord upholdeth the righteous.” Their cause and course shall be safe, for they are in good keeping. The sword of two edges smites the wicked and defends the just.
17 “Power” is an idiomatic rendering of זְרוֹעוֹת (zerôʿôt, “arms”). The arms—symbolic of strength (cf. 10:15)—by which the poor have been oppressed will be broken. Truly this is a moving picture of the strength of the Lord and his just acts against the wicked. He “supports” or “upholds” the limbs of the weak (v. 24; Isa 40:29).

“My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.” Psalm 62:7
Thoughts on today’s verse
Who we are, what becomes of us in life, is in God’s hands. We cannot purchase or achieve lasting honor for ourselves without his blessing. We cannot secure the future or our safety without his protection and blessing. The basis of all achievement and glory is dependent upon us placing our lives in his care.
O Rock, Fortress of my life, I place myself in your care. Take charge of my future and use me for your glory. In you I take refuge, and on your strength I rely to make my days worthwhile. In the precious name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
Shoppers flee from gunfire. Women cower from abusers. Children run from bombs. Teenagers weep from addiction. A woman posts on social media after another mass shooting: “Is no place safe anymore?”
“God is our refuge and strength” becomes more than a psalmic platitude, a comforting verse to write in a note to the grieving when our worlds collapse. It’s true that we fear when formerly physically safe places are invaded, but when wounds bleed not only from our bodies but from our innermost beings, we’re tempted to despair.
How is God our refuge? How do we run into the fortress he claims to be? Jesus promises that we who are in the Father’s hand cannot be “snatched” or seized. We who have run to God for our salvation are promised safekeeping, not from that which can smother physical life but from all that would dare endanger the soul.
Though the melody is difficult, a hymn written by Martin Luther, rings true during these fear-filled days:
A mighty fortress is our God, A bulwark never failing… ” His craft and power are great… From age to age the same… …He must win the battle…
When my heart trembles and my mind goes to “what if,” it is then I retreat into God’s refuge, thanking him for his presence and power, believing—perhaps with small faith—that it is possible to “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let (my) requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard (my) hearts and mind through Christ Jesus”(Philippians 4:6-7).
There was never an angry man that thought his anger unjust.

Pope Francis calls for ‘global governance’ and ‘universal vaccines’ in letter to globalist financial summit ‘There remains an urgent need for a global plan that can create new or regenerate existing institutions, particularly those of global governance, and help to build a new network of international relations for advancing the integral human development of all peoples.’ His letter is the latest in a series of recent acts in which Francis has aligned himself with global corporations committed to anti-Catholic agendas. Francis focussed on calling for a system of global government which would implement a new societal order upon the world, based upon climate change policies and universal vaccination.

China creates ‘hotline’ to report citizens who attack state in eerie Orwellian power-grab In this new mechanism of state surveillance and control, which is reminiscent of the horrors imagined in George Orwell’s novel 1984, normal Chinese citizens can also inform the government of anyone who is “spreading an ‘incorrect’ interpretation of history”. A retired US diplomat David Cowhig has translated a recent Chinese Communist Party initiative to encourage citizens to use a “report zone for harmful information involving historical nihilism”. China-based journalist Michael Standaert today tweeted that “a new hotline has been launched for those interested in reporting their friends, neighbours, and colleagues for making ‘incorrect remarks about history’.”

Cybersecurity experts, ex-FBI agent confirm Hunter Biden’s laptop is completely real Top cybersecurity experts have confirmed that an abandoned laptop that reportedly belonged to Hunter Biden, the president’s son, is real and shows “no evidence” of tampering or alterations. In a report for the Daily Mail, American IT firm Maryman & Associates said that data on the laptop’s hard drive “appear to be authentic” and predominately “related to Mr. Biden,” after an exhaustive examination of the contents. The new findings blow apart repeated claims by the Biden campaign, top Democrats, prominent intelligence officials, social media platforms, and the mainstream press, that the laptop was fake and a product of “Russian disinformation.”
Iran’s main nuclear site mysteriously suffers power outage right after advanced centrifuges go online Iranian media reported an electrical problem at the Natanz, the country’s main uranium enrichment facility. “The incident caused no casualties or contamination,” Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi said, adding that “electricity was affected at the Natanz facility”. The incident comes one day after President Hassan Rouhani inaugurated a chain of 164 advanced 164 IR-6 uranium enrichment centrifuges at the site in a televised event commemorating Iran’s National Day of Nuclear Technology.

Russia has just moved missiles capable of carrying Nuclear Warheads into battle zone with UkrainePosted: 11 Apr 2021 08:12 PM PDT(OPINION) MS – How close can Russia and Ukraine come to war without actually going over the precipice? Over the weekend, more forces on both sides continued to pour into the conflict zone. And on the line of separation in eastern Ukraine, there are regular reports of gunfire and shelling. At this point, there are no negotiations on the horizon, and one false move could easily spark an all-out war. In fact, a Kremlin spokesperson is warning that we could soon see “full-scale combat operations”… Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov on Thursday said the situation in eastern Ukraine was ‘very unstable’ and warned it risked leading to ‘full-scale combat operations.’As Kiev warned it could be ‘provoked’ by Russia’s aggression, several Western nations have voiced fears that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s move could trigger an all-out war, which could drag Nato allies, including Britain, into the conflict.Continue reading Russia has just moved missiles capable of carrying Nuclear Warheads into battle zone with Ukraine at End Time Headlines.

It’s only a commission at this point, but his willingness to entertain such a diabolical idea tells us all we need to know.
President Joe Biden, who with each passing week finds new ways to disgrace himself and the office to which he’s been entrusted, is at it once again. Having seen his party fail to sufficiently affect the composition of the U.S. Supreme Court within our constitutionally agreed-upon framework, Biden on Friday signed an executive order establishing his Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court, which is tasked with, among other things, considering the “membership and size of the Court.” In other words, packing the High Court.
When we were kids on the playground, we had a word for this: cheating. Think about it: Any neighborhood kid who tried to change the rules of the game in order to gain an advantage was quickly and roundly set upon. We were just kids, but even back then we understood the difference between right and wrong. Joe Biden doesn’t. Or, if he does, he simply doesn’t care. And, come to think of it, this backslapper has been lying and cheating about little things and big things his whole life, so why are we at all surprised?
Regarding his plan, The Wall Street Journal reports, “Biden ordered a commission to study Supreme Court changes such as adding seats, an idea pushed by progressives in his party that faces strong opposition from congressional Republicans. Mr. Biden said during his campaign that he would create a bipartisan commission to study expanding the court or creating term limits for justices. … The 36-member commission will be charged with completing its findings within 180 days of its first public meeting and will preside over a fraught political moment for the future of the nation’s high court.”
Biden is more than just a liar and a cheat; he’s also a coward, utterly unwilling to tell the unhinged far-left flank of his party to pound sand. Despite his campaign waffling, this was the perfect opportunity to do just that, the perfect opportunity to pay just a modicum of lip service to his Inauguration Day promise. “I pledge this to you,” Biden said on January 20, “I will be a president for all Americans. All Americans. And I promise you: I will fight as hard for those who did not support me as for those who did.”
Alas, it wasn’t to be. As the far-left New York Times reports, “The president acted under pressure from activists pushing for more seats to alter the ideological balance of the court after President Donald J. Trump appointed three justices, including one to a seat that Republicans had blocked his predecessor, Barack Obama, from filling for almost a year.”
The makeup of this 36-member “bipartisan” commission certainly won’t be 18-18, and it’s leadership is, naturally, leftist. Even if it were balanced, no self-respecting Republican or conservative should agree to be on that commission, though a few have. Agreeing to do so lends an air of legitimacy to it. But there’s not a whiff of legitimacy to be found anywhere on a commission whose purpose is likely to make the case for packing the Supreme Court — or at the very least intimidating justices and judges to bow to progressive demands.
In fact, leftist Justice Stephen Breyer acknowledged the problem. “Those whose initial instincts may favor important structural change or other similar institutional changes, such as forms of court-packing, [should] think long and hard before they embody those changes in law,” he said last week. There’s currently “a trust that the Court is guided by legal principle, not politics,” but, he warned, “structural alteration motivated by the perception of political influence can only feed that latter perception, further eroding that trust.”
If President Unity asks, we should tell him what he failed to tell the hard leftists who put him up to this: Pound sand, Joe. Pound sand.
Getting rich off of race-bait burning, looting, and murdering.
The political fortunes of Democrat politicians, most notably Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and their legislative branch parrots, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, are built on identity constituency deceit. Race-hustling has proven to be their most successful identity game in the last decade, and it has paid rich political dividends.
Demos have a symbiotic relationship with hate-hustling organizations, most notably their Leftmedia publicists. But other major benefactors include leftists with the SPLC, and a huge beneficiary of hate-hustling has been the Marxist so-called “Black Lives Matter” radicals. These organizations profit handsomely from woke corporations who want to appease these identity groups in order to appear sympathetic and avoid boycotts.
BLM took in $90 million in “donations” last year alone. So, naturally, why wouldn’t self-proclaimed Marxist Patrisse Cullors, BLM’s 37-year-old high-profile cofounder, not want to cash in some of her chips for a nice house in a white suburb?
Within days of the Biden/Harris victory, Cullors immediately put them on notice that BLM expects the administration to take up its mantle.
Meanwhile, Cullors will be relaxing in the comfort of her private $1.4 million Topanga Canyon home outside Los Angeles, which includes beautiful amenities, a separate guest house, and exceptional landscaping. According to the latest census, Topanga Canyon is 88% white and only 1.8% black. It is one of the $3.2 million in properties she recently purchased, including a nice suburban home in the white town of Conyers, Georgia — with a private airplane hangar. She is considering an additional property at the exclusive Albany resort in the Bahamas.
Again, why not? She is untouchable. I mean, when the world’s wealthiest man, Jeff Bezos, who has accumulated more than $177 billion (up $64 billion in a year), is allowed to pass as a leftist, surely Cullors is entitled to some creature comforts.
Black sports commentator Jason Whitlock posted on social media: “She had a lot of options on where to live. She chose one of the whitest places in California. She’ll have her pick of white cops and white people to complain about. That’s a choice, bro.” Of course, Twitter blocked his comment!
I was a reader and supporter of The Patriot Post long before I joined the team as a writing contributor. As a Vietnam combat veteran, I’ve seen firsthand what Marxist socialism does to a country. For years now, radical leftists have been dragging this country toward socialism. They accomplish this by a steady media campaign of false information. Under President Trump, it was a campaign of pure propaganda and lies, and that hasn’t changed.
We at The Patriot Post provide our readers with news and information you can trust to keep you informed of what’s happening across the country. To be informed is to be prepared. I’m honored to be a volunteer member of the team and a financial supporter as well. The stakes are too high to do anything less than our best!

Dozens of corporate CEOs are joining efforts to oppose laws securing election integrity.
Over the weekend, dozens of CEOs from some of America’s top corporations joined a web teleconference in which they expressed opposition to Georgia’s new voter-integrity law while also committing their companies to promoting “woke” politics. Falsely framing the Peach State’s new voting law, passed by Georgia’s Republican-majority legislature and signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp, as voter suppression that discriminates against minority voters, the CEOs were encouraged to sign a public statement opposing the law.
It’s apparent none of these CEOs has taken the time to actually read the bill, because all of them are taking action based upon the fallacious characterization of the legislation promoted by Joe Biden, Democrats, and the Leftmedia. Is the mere accusation of racism and bigotry enough to get these CEOs to bow to the myriad of virtue-signaling demands made by the woke cancel culture mobs on social media? And do they really believe they’re doing what consumers want? Apparently so.
Historically, big business has found itself more politically in line with Republicans, as the GOP is the party advocating for free-market capitalism, lower taxes, and less government regulation. However, in the last few years, there appears to be a shift occurring, and big business has begun publicly siding with cultural leftists and their woke politics. The Democrat Party has increasingly embraced the divisive politics of the extreme Left, and now corporate America is apparently heading down the same path. Not only is it unacceptable to endorse conservative policies, but a company must now publicly condemn such policies and threaten to withhold business if such policies aren’t reversed.
What is emerging is a new fascism in which corporate America is increasingly doing the bidding of Democrats, because CEOs have surmised that such a move is good for business.
Case in point: Last week, woke corporate appeasement took the form of Major League Baseball shifting the All-Star Game venue from majority-black Atlanta to majority-white Denver because the Georgia legislature upheld the principles of voter integrity. Voter integrity is antithetical to the Democrats’ HR 1 bulk-mail ballot strategy to ensure perpetual Democrat rule. If HR 1 becomes law, institutionalizing voter fraud, corporate execs want to ensure they will have the Democrats’ in their pockets. Ironically, but predictably, the MLB move from Atlanta has clobbered minority-owned small businesses, but for radical leftists, these businesses are acceptable casualties in their race-hustling charade.
It’s clear that big businesses fear that if they don’t go woke, they’ll go broke. So election integrity be damned, no matter how much they wax poetic about how they’re acting to protect “American democracy.”
From missed opportunities to politicized investigations, the bureau is facing some major rot.
Political correctness is a cancer. And perhaps the entity most debilitated by it is the FBI.
Following the slaughter of 10 people at the King Soopers grocery store in Boulder, Colorado, we learned that the suspected assailant, Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, was previously known to the FBI because he was linked to another individual under investigation by the bureau.
It’s not the first time, and conservative columnist “Sundance” reminds Americans just how many other mass shooters — most of whom were terrorists — were previously known by the agency. “The FBI knew in advance the Pulse Nightclub shooter (Omar Mateen) and were tipped off by the local sheriff,” he writes. “The FBI knew in advance the San Bernardino Terrorists (Tashfeen Malik). The FBI knew in advance the Boston Marathon Bombers (the Tsarnaev brothers) tipped off by Russians. The FBI knew in advance the Garland, Texas, shooters (Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi). The FBI knew in advance of the Parkland High School shooter (Nikolas Cruz). The FBI knew in advance of the Fort Hood shooter (Nidal Hasan); and now the FBI knew in advance of Ahmad al-Aliwi Alissa.”
The filtering of those cases through the lens of political correctness was especially egregious, and the template for it was set by the Obama administration when the FBI, then led by Robert Mueller, eliminated 876 pages and 392 presentations from its counterterrorism training manuals. It deleted terms such as “al Qaeda,” “Muslim Brotherhood,” and “jihad,” even as it insisted “training must emphasize that no investigative or intelligence collection activity may be based solely on race, ethnicity, national origin, or religious affiliation.”
Thus, despite intercepting a series of emails between Nidal Hasan and terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki beginning as early as 2008 — the same Anwar al-Awlaki whom Obama ordered to be killed by a drone strike — no action was taken against the man who eventually killed 13 and wounded another 32 at Fort Hood. Astonishingly, Obama referred to that slaughter as “workplace violence,” and former General George Casey, the Army’s top officer at the time, lamented that though the slaughter was horrific, “if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.”
Omar Mateen? Despite placing him on a terrorist watch list in 2013, and investigating him twice — the second time because he was in contact with an American who joined ISIS in Syria and blew himself up in a suicide bombing — the agency concluded those contacts were “minimal” and removed him from the list. After Mateen killed 49 people and wounded 53 others, then-U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch initially redacted incriminating references to radical Islam from the 28 minutes of 911 calls he made while perpetrating the carnage. According to Lynch, that censorship was an effort to prevent Mateen from furthering “his propaganda.”
Tamerlan Tsarnaev? Despite two separate warnings to the FBI and the CIA from Russia in 2011, the FBI closed out its file on Tamerlan Tsarnaev after interviewing him and his family and deciding he posed no risk. The FBI knew he had spent six months of travel to a known Islamist terrorist training center in the Dagestan-Chechnya area in Islamic Russia, yet suspended an investigation of him anyway.
Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik? The politically correct purge of the Treasury Enforcement Communications System in 2009 deleted Farook’s ties to terror group Tablighi Jamaat, leaving the FBI a day late and dollar short in terms of preventing him and Malik from killing 14 and seriously injuring 22 others.
Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi? According to ABC News, “An undercover FBI agent had exchanged social media messages with Simpson days before the attack and was sitting in a vehicle outside the Garland convention center when the attack began. As the agent drove around Simpson and Soofi’s car, which had stopped abruptly, the attackers got out and opened fire with military-style rifles. The agent drove away and was stopped by police.”
During the trial of Abdul Malik Abdul Kareem, who had supplied weapons to the duo, prosecutors asserted that information about the undercover officer was “classified.”
Nikolas Cruz? On January 5, 2018, a person close to Cruz contacted the FBI’s Public Access Line and told them about his ominous media posts, his expressed desire to kill people, and his gun ownership — all of which, according to protocols, should have precipitated his assessment as a potentially deadly threat and the forwarding of that assessment to the FBI Miami Field Office.
None of it happened, and Cruz killed 17 and injured 17 others at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Shortly thereafter, FBI Director Christopher Wray asserted that he was “committed to getting to the bottom of what happened in this particular matter, as well as reviewing our processes for responding to information that we receive from the public.”
Several searches using a variety of different keywords yielded nothing in terms of that investigation and/or review.
And it’s not just mass murderers. Columnists Howie Carr and Glenn Reynolds remind us that the FBI missed some of the 9/11 hijackers, failed to catch Russian mole Robert Philip Hanssen in its own ranks for more than 20 years, ran an inept crime lab that precipitated flawed testimony against defendants for over two decades, conducted wiretaps of journalists, deliberately set up Michael Flynn, allowed four Boston men to rot on death row for 35 years for a murder they didn’t commit while shielding the real killers from justice, and framed Atlanta security guard Richard Jewell for a crime he did not commit.
Moreover, the double standard engineered by political correctness becomes impossible to ignore. Thus, in contrast to much of the above, the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation was a series of corrupt endeavors based on sources agents knew were bogus, even as they lied to the FISA Court to get warrants. Nonetheless, 50 FBI agents were employed by the Trump-Russia investigation to maintain a narrative that eventually became unsustainable.
And last year, even as riots were occurring in cities across the nation, the FBI sent 15 special agents to Talladega Superspeedway to investigate a “hate crime” based on a “noose” discovered in a garage that had been assigned to black driver Bubba Wallace. It turned out to be a large door pulldown that had been there since 2019.
In stark contrast to its investigations of those riots, the FBI has conducted an extensive investigation of the January 6 riot at the Capitol that has revealed its ineptitude prior to it: Parler warned the agency of “specific threats of violence,” and Wray admitted the agency had received “raw, unverified, uncorroborated information” that was ostensibly shared with Capitol Police. Yet former U.S. Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund says that information never made it to him.
Why the seeming double standard between the FBI’s investigation of riots precipitated by BLM and antifa last summer and the riot on January 6? Perhaps this photo of FBI agents taking a knee in solidarity with BLM is indicative.
“Looking at the FBI’s record, it’s hard not to conclude that it is far better at pursuing press and political opponents than at actually keeping us safe,” Reynolds asserts.
There are many advantages to modern tech, but we must overcome the lost personal element.
Today’s “progressive” culture is inhibiting our ability to communicate, settle conflict, collaborate, and coexist, in large part because our exchanges are without personal contact. Most of our communication now is mediated through a device — our phones or computers — by way of social media, texts, emails, or television. Audiences are depersonalized and isolation is fostered as we transmit information in an uninterrupted monologue with little accountability or cost. People now operate in isolation, find an echo chamber of opinion to join, and live unchallenged. Profiles and emojis replace true human interaction and emotion, destroying nonverbal cues and creating an environment that can ultimately be rude and hateful. It’s the new normal.
We have come a long way from Gutenberg’s printing press, and we have so many unprecedented opportunities for good. But we’ve created a self-focused communications mess. The risk-free commentator often has no direct involvement or proximity to a situation or problem. Offering comment from afar is safe, easy, and cheap — plus there’s no cost to the one making the post or writing his soliloquy, even though it sometimes impacts another’s community or life.
Think about all the celebrity opinions demanding gun control, defunding police, or opening borders, offered from homes within gated communities with layers of security that average Americans will never have. But for the average person, the same tone, word choice, or frequency of rebuttal would almost never happen in person as it does in angry comments on Twitter or Facebook. The stalking and swarming of angry dissenters on social media would be treated as assault if done face-to-face instead of online.
Passionate, distant, and safe commentators now have the ability to mobilize and incite individuals with information without the element of time to permit verification and validation through sourcing. Today, real-time information is available with little to no context. This permits those who control the methods of mass communications, such as cable news networks and Big Tech, to frame events rather than report them.
The sad end result of these impersonal social media communications is a divisive and destructive hatred shown through bitterness, contempt, and prejudice. In research entitled “Why We Hate,” authors from faculty of the University of Amsterdam, the University of Haifa, Israel, and the University of Leuven, Belgium, noted that hate is “especially significant at the intergroup level” and is “part of a self-defense system” used by the group to protect its identity and power. Weak leaders, however, employ hatred to mobilize when inspiration is outside their skill set or the ease of fueling anger is too tempting and routine. A long time ago, a very wise man reminded us, “Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.”
Whether it’s research at Harvard or work done by Pew Research and Elon University, individual well-being includes personal communications and relationships. A thriving community is based on physical social interactions rooted in mutual respect, direct interactions, and exchanges and shared values formed from experiences.
Bill Gates once opined that the first rule of technology is that it will magnify efficiencies. The second rule is that it will equally magnify the inefficiencies. Today, those who employ high-tech communications along with personal engagement to bridge the divide are the ones who excel. Sadly, without the personal element, we’re witnessing that same tech dividing us and expanding isolation.
A warehouse in Alabama didn’t go along with the pleas of Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.
As a general rule, companies that deserve unions get them. Again, that’s a big generalization, but it’s something that could be a factor in the news that Amazon workers in Alabama just voted by a 71-29 margin to reject becoming a part of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union.
Workers tend to unionize when conditions like poor wages and bad conditions merit it. They tend not to when wages and benefits are high and there’s little reason to give up part of your paycheck to a political organization, especially when there are so many recent stories of union bigwigs committing fraud and embezzling money.
Think this vote wasn’t political? Because most of the workers at this Alabama warehouse are black, the union and its allies tried to tie the effort to Black Lives Matter. Moreover, both President Joe Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders urged workers to unionize. “Your health, your safety, [and] higher wages” are on the line, Biden warned them in a video. Sanders actually came to Bessemer, Alabama, to personally tell workers to “take on the wealthiest guy in the world” — that would be Amazon chief Jeff Bezos. More on him in a minute.
But even Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio urged workers to unionize, albeit with very different rationale. He wanted to punish Amazon for its multiple offenses in censorship of conservatives. Rubio also hopes to expand the GOP’s outreach with blue-collar workers, though we’d have to say this particular effort fell flat.
So, back to Amazon. The union leader in Alabama suggested there might have been a problem with the integrity of the vote. However, we’re told by Reliable Sources™ like CNN that there’s never trouble with elections anymore.
Kidding aside, the real reason for the vote is far more simple. By all accounts — well, other than the ignorant ramblings of a former bartender in Congress — the world’s biggest online retailer is a pretty good place to work. And it hired 427,000 workers in less than a year. There are comprehensive benefits that include healthcare and parental leave, and wages start at $15 per hour. That latter point is a two-edged sword, given that Amazon employees love it but it also squeezes Amazon’s small business competitors that can’t afford those wages.
Ironically, in spite of all those benefits for its own workers, Sanders wants workers to take on his fellow socialist, Bezos. Perhaps the multimillionaire Sanders is simply jealous of the fact that Bezos is worth an obscene $177 billion. But the two men must surely have a wink-and-nod relationship given that they’re working hard for the same goals, especially through Bezos’s Leftmedia mouthpiece, The Washington Post.
In any case, Bessemer, Alabama, is a 72% black suburb of Birmingham in Jefferson County. Donald Trump won Alabama with 62% of the vote, but Joe Biden won Jefferson County with 55%. Yet even with Biden taking the exceedingly rare step for a president of weighing in on behalf of a union during a vote, workers at one of Amazon’s 800 warehouses signaled that maybe the marriage between Democrats and unions isn’t quite so sound as it used to be.
Dr. Rochelle Walensky dubiously asserts that minorities suffered more from COVID because America is racist.
A recent memo on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website, posted by CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky, asserts that America is currently under a “serious public health threat.” And what is this “health threat” Dr. Walensky is warning about? Why, it’s racism. And how did Dr. Walensky come to her “diagnosis”? To put it simply, she looked at the disparate numbers of those who have suffered the most physically from the pandemic and concluded that the cause of this disparity must be systemic racism.
Dr. Walensky writes, “The impact of COVID-19 is felt, most severely, in communities of color — communities that have experienced disproportionate case counts and deaths, and where the social impact of the pandemic has been most extreme.” She then unequivocally dispels any other possible factors that may have contributed to these disparities. “Yet, the disparities seen over the past year were not a result of COVID-19,” she says. “Instead, the pandemic illuminated inequities that have existed for generations and revealed for all of America a known, but often unaddressed, epidemic impacting public health: racism.”
However, in order to make her “racism” diagnosis stick, she quickly expands the definition of racism to essentially include the entire American value system, specifically capitalism. “What we know is this: racism is a serious public health threat that directly affects the well-being of millions of Americans,” she argues. “As a result, it affects the health of our entire nation. Racism is not just the discrimination against one group based on the color of their skin or their race or ethnicity, but the structural barriers that impact racial and ethnic groups differently to influence where a person lives, where they work, where their children play, and where they gather in community. Over generations, these structural inequities have resulted in stark racial and ethnic health disparities that are severe, far-reaching and unacceptable.”
Like the woke social justice warrior she is, her prescription for combatting racism is … pushing actual racism. This means a four-point action plan, highlighted by Dr. Walensky’s creation of a new CDC web portal titled “Racism and Health.” Her explicit desired goal for ending racism is not equality but that Marxist ethic of “equity,” which was an early directive from the Biden-Harris administration. This ideology judges everyone solely by their group identity and not as individuals. You know, what we used to call racism.
The truth is, the only reason racism may be growing in America is because the Left keeps exploiting and feeding it with its Critical Race Theory ideas that only divide and destroy a national cohesive culture. Nothing says “unity” like demonizing the entire history of America as little more than a racist state.
It’s time to dispel some myths about what truly makes people poor and how rich people acquire so much.
For those who may not be aware, we are in the middle of an ideological war, and at the center of the battleground lies the one thing people have fought over for millennia — wealth. Before it was sticks and stones, swords, and shields. Today we battle with narratives and ideas, psychological attacks, and cancel culture (with victimhood and gaslighting thrown in for good measure).
And as President Joe Biden prepares to “tax the wealthiest” of Americans (despite them already paying nearly 80% of all taxes), it’s time to dispel some myths about what truly makes people poor and how rich people acquire so much.
The Tenth Commandment — found in the book of Exodus in the Bible — reads: “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or his male servant or female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.”
My, how far we’ve come from our early biblical teachings. Today, the progressive Left has nothing but covetousness for the fortunate and the blessed. These lawmakers and political advocates spend a lot of time manufacturing narratives to make high-income earners feel lowly about their status and accomplishments, all while demanding a “redistribution of wealth” model to be the new law of the land.
Leftists — who are now this era’s socialists — label those with money and resources as wrongdoers while also begging for the very same resources that they claim to be the root of all evil. These activists and politicians believe that because one person has money, someone else had to do without. This is hardly the truth.
Let’s lay out how wealth and prosperity actually occur in what may be a crude, yet effective, explanation:
The wealthiest of our people have the power to do one very merciful thing: They have access to business and enterprise to the betterment of her fellow Americans. One rich housewife, for example, could suddenly decide to open up a bakery. But to run her boutique, she needs employees. So she puts out a job ad and soon enough she’ll have three new workers. Those three employees may have had to go without an income if it weren’t for the idea of the wealthy woman. And if her business is successful, she’ll need to hire more people to sustain it. While she is growing her income, she’s also lifting more people out of potential poverty. As they say, one great tide lifts many boats.
Additionally, a business can’t run without supplies and services to sustain it. The housewife-turned-entrepreneur must now call on vendors — usually other small businesses and individuals — to help her business be its best. The money she spends to improve her company is money used to put food on other’s tables.
This example is well known to those of us who have any real-world experience. Unfortunately, many leftists — who have never operated a business or are made to feel guilty about their earnings — will tell you that this free enterprise model is not enough. That capitalism is the bane of our existence and that the government (i.e., taxpayers) should step in and eradicate poverty instead. The problem is that our federal government has yet to create a viable solution for even the simplest concerns. So what makes it so capable of solving the wealth equation?
The best solution is found in the Tenth Commandment mentioned earlier. We are taught that projecting envy only feeds a bottomless pit. But through hard work and a willingness to invest in one’s community, many are able to climb above even the most dire situations and emerge on top. Only God — and not government — can do that.
Charles Barkley’s thoughts on politics should make everyone stop and think.
In the early 1990s, Nike still held a chokehold in the shoe industry with teenage males, but it had seen its numbers drop as Reebok was making a lot of noise. Nike was feeling the pressure and wanted to shake things up. Enter Charles Barkley. Leave it to Sir Charles to bring Nike the idea to challenge the status quo of American professional athletes. In a commercial he emphatically claimed:
“I am not a role model. I’m not paid to be a role model. I’m paid to wreak havoc on the basketball court. Parents should be role models. Just because I dunk a basketball doesn’t mean I should raise your kids.”
He may not need to be raising your kids, but politicians from both sides should model his perspective on politics and race in America. Hall of Famer Charles Barkley is known for his outspoken opinions, whether it’s about basketball or politics. During the NCAA Final Four broadcast on CBS, he fired off on American politicians, accusing legislators on both sides of the aisle of trying to “make the whites and blacks not like each other” so they can stay in power.
His comments came after a pregame feature about Senator Robert F. Kennedy’s 1968 appearance in Indianapolis — the site of this year’s Final Four — in which he informed the crowd that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had been assassinated. When asked for his reaction, Barkley placed much of the blame for racial tensions in the United States at the feet of politicians.
“I think most white people and black people are great people. I really believe that in my heart,” Barkley said. “But I think our system is set up where our politicians, whether they are Republicans or Democrats, are designed to make us not like each other so they can keep their grasp of money and power. They divide and conquer.”
Barkley, an 11-time NBA All-Star who retired in 2000 after 16 seasons in the league, has occasionally dropped hints about running for political office — most notably governor of Alabama.
“We’re so stupid following our politicians, whether they are Republicans or Democrats,” Barkley continued. “And their only job is, ‘Hey, let’s make these people not like each other. We don’t live in their neighborhoods. We all got money. Let’s make the whites and blacks not like each other. Let’s make rich people and poor people not like each other. Let’s scramble the middle class.’”
Politicians get paid for representing the best interests of their constituents, but they act like there isn’t a model to go by. Just because they are elected officials doesn’t mean they don’t need checks and balances. Barkley has a rare racial perspective, but the cancel culture has yet to come knocking at his door. I wonder what’s his secret?
Biden’s “Made in America” electric vehicle push to benefit communist China (Washington Times)
“President Biden’s push to fill the nation’s roads with electric vehicles would be a boon for China and would increase America’s dependence on the communist power, which dominates the globe in advanced battery production and the mining of rare minerals needed to make those batteries. … China produced 72% of the world’s lithium-ion rechargeable batteries in 2019, and the U.S. accounted for 9%. The batteries are used most frequently to power electric vehicles, according to the Energy Department. The Chinese regime’s dominance is the result of long-range investment and planning. Beijing is on track to develop at least 107 lithium-ion battery megafactories by 2030. At least 53 are already up and running. Meanwhile, the U.S. is expected to develop nine megafactories, three of which are now operational. If those trends continue, then most of the electric vehicles built in the U.S. will rely on key components imported from China.”
Supreme Court rules against California’s limits on in-home religious gatherings (Fox News)
“The 5-4 unsigned ruling follows other similar decisions recently regarding churches and the coronavirus pandemic. The decision noted it was the fifth time the court has rejected the Ninth Circuit’s analysis of California coronavirus restrictions. … The ruling stated that before it can limit religious gatherings, the government must prove they pose a greater danger than secular activities that remain open, such as shopping or attending movies.”
