The Ignorant Fishermen Blog: Accident or Design? – A Challenging Creation Message and Video on Divine Creation

Beloved, our dear friends at “Word of Truth Production” have created this amazing video which causes us to use our God-given common sense as we look at man’s inventions versus Almighty God’s highly complex creation and design (Gen. 1:1-3, Neh. 9:6; Prov. 3:19, Isa. 45:18, John 1:1-3, Rom. 1:18-32, 1 Cor. 8:6, Rev. 4-5)! The question that we need to ask ourselves is this, “Are we a product of time and chance or have we been designed by our ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS Creator with an ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS calling, vocation, and purpose (Matt. 4:19, John 1:12, 2 Cor. 5:17-21)?” As you watch this powerful 30-minute video, may you be challenged to consider our ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS Creator, who is also the ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS Savior of the World (Gen. 1:1; John 1:1-14, Col. 1:15-17; Heb. 1:1-3)!

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

April 23 Evening Quotes of The Day

Christ’s Kingdom and the New Heavens and Earth
Isaiah 65:17; 66:22; 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1

The end of God’s creating the world was to prepare a kingdom for his Son (for he is appointed heir of the world) that should remain to all eternity. So far as the kingdom of Christ is set up in the world, so far is the world brought to its end, and the eternal state of things set up—so far are all the great changes and revolutions of the world brought to their everlasting issue, and all things come to their ultimate period—so far are the waters of the long channel of divine providence, which has so many branches, and so many windings, emptied into their proper ocean, which they have been seeking from the beginning of their course, and so are come to their rest. So far as Christ’s kingdom is established in the world, so far are things wound up and settled in their everlasting state, and a period put to the course of things in this changeable world; so far are the first heavens and the first earth come to an end, and the new heavens and the new earth, the everlasting heavens and earth, established in their place.

The Difference Between the Elect and the Reprobate
Psalm 15:4; Matthew 22:1–14; Romans 11:7

Seeing that God invites all indiscriminately by outward preaching, the only thing that distinguishes his elect from the reprobate is that, allowing the latter to be blind in the light, he presents the former with new eyes, by which they see, and inclines their hearts to obey his word.

How Are You Fighting Sin?

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Romans 8:37

We go to Christ for forgiveness, and then too often look to the law for power to fight our sins. Paul issues this rebuke: “O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? . . . Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?”1 Take your sins to Christ’s cross, for the flesh can only be crucified there: We are crucified with Him. The only weapon to fight sin with is the spear that pierced the side of Jesus.

To give an illustration—if you want to overcome an angry temper, how do you go about it? It is very possible that you have never tried the right way of going to Jesus with it. How did I get salvation? I came to Jesus just as I was, and I trusted Him to save me. I must kill my angry temper in the same way. It is the only way in which I can ever kill it. I must go to the cross with it and say to Jesus, “Lord, I trust You to deliver me from it.” This is the only way to give it a deathblow.

Are you covetous? Do you feel the world entangle you? You may struggle against this evil as long as you please, but if it is your besetting sin, you will never be delivered from it in any other way than by the blood of Jesus. Take it to Christ. Tell Him, “Lord, I have trusted You, and Your name is Jesus, for You save Your people from their sins. Lord, this is one of my sins; save me from it!”

Ordinances are nothing without Christ as a means of mortification. Your prayers, and your repentances, and your tears—the whole of them put together—are worth nothing apart from Him. Only Jesus can do helpless sinners good, and helpless saints too. You must be conquerors through Him who has loved you if you will be a conqueror at all. Our laurels must grow among His olives in Gethsemane.

Daily Devotion: To Walk With God (Gen 5:1-27)

Jesus’ name Immanuel means God with us (Matthew 1:23). What does it mean today to walk with God? What are three things involved in walking with God?

And after he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters… Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

This account says twice that, before he was taken up, Enoch walked with God. I love the story of the little girl who was telling her mother the story of Enoch. She said, Enoch used to take long walks with God. One day he walked so far God said, ‘It’s too far to go back; come on home with me.’ That is what happened to Enoch.

What does it mean to walk with God? Here is a man who, in the midst of a brilliant but godless generation, walked with God. What does it mean? Enoch did not literally walk with God; this is unquestionably a figurative expression, but a figurative walk involves the same thing today as it did then. First, it means he went in the same direction God went. He was moving the way God was going. God is forever moving in human history. He is moving now to accomplish certain things in human life, and He has been doing so for centuries. The person who walks with God is the person who knows which way God is going and goes the same way. Now what is that? Perhaps we cannot indicate it positively, but we certainly can negatively: God moves always in unswerving hostility toward sin. He is opposed to that which destroys and wrecks human life. No matter how good it looks, no matter how attractive it seems, God is against it. And the person who walks with God is the person who walks in unswerving hostility toward sin in his or her own life and refuses to make up with it or permit it to rule or to reign. That is the first thing in a walk with God.

Second, it means to keep in step. You cannot walk with somebody if you do not keep in step with him or her. Sooner or later there comes unbalance, and one of you bumps into the other. A walk is not like moving on one of these endless belts. It is not smooth; it is a repetition of almost falling. Have you ever analyzed your walk? Every time you take a step you almost fall. You allow your body to go off balance, and then you catch yourself with your other leg. Then you shift to that one and you almost fall again, only to catch yourself. The man or woman who walks with God is the man or woman who lives on the verge of a fall. That is an adventurous life. That means if God is not there to support and strengthen you, down you go. You are counting on Him to come through and to keep you steady. That is what a walk with God involves. It is always a walk of venturing out. It is never satisfied with the status quo, never content to remain in a quiet state, doing nothing, waiting, enjoying one’s self. It is forever moving at the same pace God moves. It means taking a step when God insists.

The third thing is that there was no controversy between God and Enoch. They were in agreement. Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?says the Scriptures (Amos 3:3). They must be in agreement. And this is how we must be. There must be no controversy between us if we are going to walk with God, but we must agree with things as He sees them. What changes this makes in our lives!

Lord, may it be said of me as it was said of Enoch: He walked with God. I want to go in Your direction, keeping pace with You.

April 23 – You are with me | Reformed Perspective

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” – Psalm 23:4

Scripture reading: Psalm 23:4

In ancient times, especially in the land of Canaan, a lot of the best farmland was in the valleys. It was also common that the roads and paths would not often go over the hills, but instead wind around them. However, if a shepherd were to lead his sheep into a deep valley, especially one with steep sides close together, that meant that the sheep were in a very dangerous situation. This is the valley David has in mind here, a deep, dark valley where you cannot see your enemies hiding and waiting to attack. Sheep would be easy prey to robbers and wild animals often hiding in the hills, prepared to attack anything that came by.

David, in using this imagery, is explaining something very real to all of us. We all go through times in our lives when we are in danger, when we are scared of what might happen, or where we are even being attacked. We have all experienced going through the deep, dark valley of the shadow of death in one form or another in our lives. However, no matter how terrible the circumstance in which we find ourselves is, we never have to be afraid, for Christ is always with us. Hold fast to that truth dear Christian, even when it feels like you are all alone. Remember this unchanging truth, Christ is with you.

Suggestions for prayer

Pray that the Lord would comfort your heart and the hearts of all of His people with the truth of Christ’s presence with them as their Good Shepherd.

The Thank You List | A Devotional by John Grant

Over these past days, I have tried to examine every year of my life and think of what God did for me, even before I was saved. It has brought to mind things I had long ago forgotten and regrettable probably never thanks God for, at least not recently.

praising God

I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.” Psalm 7:17

Recently, I was praising and thanking God for something he had done for me that very day, but He said what about last week, last month, last year? How soon do we forget?

I must plead guilty to a prayer life that is too tilted in the direction of my current prayer needs and not enough in thanks for all he has done. Just think about what God has done for us as Christians…. His righteousness and holiness, all his marvelous works, our physical bodies, His guidance and instruction for us, our salvation, the hope He has given us, the joy of being in his presence, His answer to our prayers for help and the list goes on.

These are general things applicable to all of us. But what about the things he has done specifically for us? I have been making a mental list of things God has done for me, some decades ago. He has always been there for me. While I am thankful for the things he has done for me, I am especially thankful for the things He has kept from happening, even things I very much wanted at the time, which looking back would have been an ultimate disaster.

When I was growing up, one of my favorite television shows was Father Knows Best. While it was about a family, the title has spiritual connotations. Our Heavenly Father knows best as well.

Over these past days, I have tried to examine every year of my life and think of what God did for me, even before I was saved. It has brought to mind things I had long ago forgotten and regrettable probably never thanks God for, at least not recently.

When was the last time you made a ‘thank-you’ list?

Try it today. Recall the prayers God has answered recently, the needs He has provided for, spiritual victories you have enjoyed and last but not least, the faithful character of our Lord. Then begin thanking God for each item on your list, and your faith will grow stronger.

When You Can’t Pray – Give Thanks | A Devotional by Bethany Hayes

When you can’t pray . . . give thanks.Your prayers might be longer than usual, because you find yourself thankful for more than you want.

I once heard of a little boy who refused to say his evening prayers one night; not out of defiance, but simply because he couldn’t think of anything he wanted.

He didn’t see much point in praying when there wasn’t anything to ask for.
When his mother heard his dilemma, she suggested he give thanks for all the things he had instead.

So the little boy got on his knees and thanked the Lord for everything he could think of – from his favorite toy to the fact he wasn’t blind like the boy down the street.
His evening prayers were longer that night, because he was thankful for more than he wanted.

We often have the opposite dilemma.

We find it hard to pray; not because we don’t have anything to ask for, but because we’re too disheartened to pray.

Our prayers seem to hit a stone ceiling; our prayers go unanswered for years; or we simply don’t receive the peace we used to enjoy in times of prayer.

But maybe we can’t pray, because we’ve forgotten to be thankful.

Like this little boy, what if we took some time and turned our prayers into words of only thanks?

When you pray today, don’t ask for one single thing.
JUST give thanks.

While you drive to work, list one thing after another you’re grateful for.
And thank the Lord ONLY.

When you have a few quiet moments, think of things you know are gifts.
And ONLY thank the Lord.

When you can’t pray . . . give thanks.
Your prayers might be longer than usual, because you find yourself thankful for more than you want.

With thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” ~ Philippians 4:6-7

Leadership and Washing Feet
Matthew 20:25–26; Mark 10:43–45; Luke 22:24–27; John 13:1–17

Let those who are set above others glory in this superiority only as much as if they had been deputed to wash the feet of the brothers; and if they are more perturbed by the loss of their superiorship than they would be by losing the office of washing feet, so much the more do they lay up treasures to the peril of their own soul.

Echoes Of Ezekiel 38 – Israel/Iran Shadow War Heats Up
You won’t hear the corporate media say very much about the “shadow war” that Israel and Iran are currently engaged in, because the corporate media is absolutely obsessed with covering the internal strife that is tearing the U.S. apart right now. But if they were doing their jobs correctly, corporate media outlets would be focusing on the Middle East, because the conflict between Israel and Iran could literally spark a major global war at any moment. As Israeli military aircraft pounded Iranian-backed forces in southern Syria on Thursday morning, there were reports coming in from central Israel of massive explosions that were so large they “shook the houses”…

The contraptions in public restrooms all across the Country that emit gobs of liquid soap after you place your hands underneath them have now been targeted by “woke” students that were recently surveyed.According to the report, one of the students said the dispensers “don’t see her hands” because of her skin’s dark pigment and added that another student said the dispensers force “black and brown bodies” to show their palms — which are “the only light areas of the skin” — before the soap will even come out of the dispenser.Continue reading Students at prestigious college complain that automatic soap dispensers are racist at End Time Headlines.
Pastor Greg Laurie tries to put his Church to ease about vaccine saying “It is NOT the Mark of the Beast”Posted: 22 Apr 2021 12:41 PM PDT(OPINION) ETH – Pastor Greg Laurie from California recently spoke this past weekend directly to those who might be concerned the COVID-19 vaccination could be “the mark of the beast.”. In his Sunday sermon, the Harvest Christian Fellowship pastor attempted to set many of his congregants at ease that might be considering getting inoculated against COVID-19. In his sermon he explained why he’s confident the COVID-19 vaccine isn’t “the mark” referenced in Revelation 13:16-18, in which the Apostle John writes:Also, it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.Continue reading Pastor Greg Laurie tries to put his Church to ease about vaccine saying “It is NOT the Mark of the Beast” at End Time Headlines.

Joe Biden’s Climate Emissions

For a splash at his climate summit, the president promises to shackle the U.S. economy with regulation.

Nate Jackson

“The United States could go to zero [carbon emissions] tomorrow … [but] we’d still have a problem. The world would still have a problem. If China went to zero tomorrow with the United States, we’d still have a problem.” So says climate czar John Kerry. That’s a good thing to keep in mind in the midst of all the emissions promises at President Joe Biden’s Zoom call “virtual climate summit.”

Biden’s summit was timed to coincide with Earth Day yesterday, not to mention getting ahead of the phenomenon of rising temperatures known as “summer.” Democrats also prefaced the summit with their re-submission of the Green New Deal, while Biden himself opened the proceedings with a vague promise to cut U.S. emissions somehow or other. Using a benchmark of 2005, the year with the highest U.S. emissions on record, Biden pledges to cut emissions 50% by 2030 and 100% by 2050.

China’s Xi Jinping also promises to fight climate change. Obviously, the same man running genocidal slave-labor camps, stealing American intellectual property, and cheating on trade isn’t a man to be trusted on “saving” the planet. On the contrary, as the editors of National Review aptly explain, “Xi genuinely wants to be seen as a leader on climate — not out of any gauzy green sentimentality but because it suits his own interests. At the top of his to-do list is supplanting the United States as a world leader by exploiting discord in Washington and between the United States and its allies.”

ChiCom Joe and his own Red Party are glad to help.

In fact, while much of the rest of the world, led by the U.S., has been cutting emissions over the last 15 years (primarily here by fracking for natural gas), China has offset all that reduction and more by building coal plants as part of its economic and military development.

Biden’s plan would involve a huge wealth transfer from our nation to nations not subject to anything like the standards we have. Compare the efforts of the U.S. (population 330 million) with the coal-heavy appetites of India (1.3 billion) and China (1.4 billion) and you begin to get the idea.

At the 2015 Paris climate summit, China promised to begin reducing its emissions … by 2030. That just happens to be the same date Biden chose for cutting U.S. emissions in half.

Want some perspective on Biden’s goal? “Amid last year’s Covid-19 lockdowns,” writes the editorial board at The Wall Street Journal, “greenhouse gas emissions fell to about 21% below 2005 levels. In other words, even with the economy shut down and a large share of the population stuck at home, the U.S. was less than halfway to Mr. Biden’s goal.”

Columnist David Harsanyi argues, “Such an effort, if we were serious about it, would entail massive destruction of wealth, a surrender of our international trade advantages, the creation of a hugely intrusive state-run bureaucracy at home, the inhibition of free markets that have helped make the world a cleaner place and a precipitous drop in the living standards of most citizens — especially the poor.”

Nevertheless, Biden insists, “The signs are unmistakable, the science undeniable.” Well, some science, anyway. And, he argues, “The cost of inaction keeps mounting.” We seriously doubt it exceeds the cost of the executive edicts and economy-restructuring legislation he and his radical party would foist on the nation.

But as usual, nothing is ever enough for the leftist fringe driving today’s Democrat Party. That’s why climate alarmists are dumping wheelbarrows full of cow manure at the White House to protest Biden’s “bulls—t” climate plan. Nothing says “we care” like leaving a literal pile of crap for someone else to clean up. Democrat policy in a nutshell.

House Dems Pass Power-Grabbing DC Statehood Bill

The vote demonstrates that there are no moderate Democrats left in the House.

Thomas Gallatin

On Thursday, and for the second time in as many years, House Democrats passed the all-too-cleverly numbered HR 51, their bill granting statehood to Washington, DC. Last June, along a similar party-line vote, Democrats passed a DC statehood bill that had no chance of seeing the light of day in the Republican-controlled Senate. However, this time around — with the Senate evenly divided but controlled by Democrats via the tiebreaking vote of President-in-Waiting Kamala Harris — they have an outside chance of success. Of course, this would likely require the elimination of the filibuster, which thus far Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) has refused to budge on.

Even still, as we have argued, turning DC into the 51st state would require a constitutional amendment, further limiting its prospects. Likewise, GOP Senator John Kennedy (LA) observed that the Democrats’ “power grab” is “unconstitutional.”

But whoever accused the Democrats of being concerned about constitutional fidelity? The DC statehood gambit is a purely partisan power play intentionally designed to grant the Democrats a two-seat Senate majority that would open wide the gates for the implementation of their radical socialist agenda. Congressman James Comer (R-KY) warned, “Let’s be clear what HR 51 is all about: It’s about Democrats adding two new progressive U.S. senators to push a radical agenda championed by the Squad to reshape America into the socialist utopia they always talk about.”

If it were truly about representation for the people of the District, there are better options.

Unfortunately, what this vote demonstrates is that there are no moderate Democrats left in the House. The vote passed along strict party lines, 216 to 208, with not a single Republican voting in favor. Clearly, the Democrats aren’t interested in fair play or compromise, as their radical leftist agenda with its Marxist-based equity ethic cannot abide Liberty. Tyranny always destroys justice, rights, and individual freedom. For the Democrat ruling class to further exercise control over Americans’ lives, it must check or eliminate the power of the opposing party. History has repeatedly demonstrated that one-party rule is a recipe for tyranny.

Gretchen Whitmer Is a Liar

Michigan’s do-as-I-say, not-as-I-do governor continues to set the example for how NOT to lead.

Douglas Andrews

If, as La Rochefoucauld said, “Hypocrisy is the tribute that vice pays to virtue,” then what are we to make of those who lie about that tribute?

Perhaps we should ask Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. After all, she just got caught saying one thing and doing another, and then lying through her teeth about having even done that other thing at all.

It all seems sort of pathological.

Whitmer was outed Monday by a local news source, MIRS, for having traveled to Florida at a time when she’d been warning her fellow Michiganders about spring break trips, particularly to Florida, amid a surge in coronavirus cases.

As the Detroit Free Press reported that same day, Whitmer spokesperson Tiffany Brown “would not say when the trip occurred, except that it was more than a month ago and within the last six months and during a time that Michigan’s coronavirus positivity rate was in the low single digits. She would not say where Whitmer went or whether Whitmer traveled alone or with others.”

Credit here to the governor and her flack. Other than the whowhatwherewhy, and when of the story, their transparency is commendable.

Having been caught red-handed, then, some additional details began to dribble out. She went to Florida. To visit her dad. Who has a chronic health condition.

But then we found out she’d been asked point-blank about any trips she’d taken. As Fox News reports, “Last week, Whitmer joined the Michigan publication MIRS on their podcast, where she was asked by reporter Kyle Melinn if she was able to take any days off for spring break or over the past year amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Whitmer, a Democrat, responded that she was ‘here in town the whole time’ during spring break and that the last trip she had taken ‘was to Israel’ on official business.”

In Whitmer’s defense, “here in town the whole time” can be interpreted in multiple ways. It could mean that she was there in Michigan the whole time, or that she was there in Michigan the whole time, or that she was there in Michigan the whole time. Plenty of wiggle room in that statement.

So she secretly left the state when she warned everyone else not to. Then she got caught lying about it. What’s not to love about this gal?

It’s not the crime that gets you. It’s the cover-up.

Recall that last May, Whitmer warned Michigan’s locked-down residents not to travel to northern Michigan during Memorial Day weekend. “Don’t descend on [the northern Michigan resort town of] Traverse City from all regions of the state,” she said, right before her husband got caught trying to pull rank and get the family boat undocked for a Memorial Day trip to their property just outside of — you guessed it — Traverse City. But we digress.

Sadly, in Michigan, the lockdown hypocrisy isn’t limited to Whitmer. It’s reached, er, pandemic proportions within her administration. As the Detroit Free Press continues, “Officials earlier confirmed that Whitmer’s chief executive officer, Tricia Foster, traveled to Florida with her daughter during spring break, at a time Whitmer had specifically expressed concern about spring break travel to that state. Elizabeth Hertel, the director of the Department of Health and Human Services, the agency that issues Michigan’s coronavirus restrictions, recently traveled with her family to the Gulf Coast of Alabama when her department was cautioning against such travel and while cases in Michigan were surging.”

In related news, long-suffering Michiganders may have a viable option for removing Big Gretch from the governor’s mansion in November 2022. As the Detroit News reports, “Ronna McDaniel, chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, revealed this week that she’s considered running against Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in the 2022 election. … McDaniel, the former chairwoman of the Michigan Republican Party, made the remark during ‘a closed-door meeting on Wednesday with RNC members in Dallas.’”

Run, Ronna, run. A fed-up state turns its lonely eyes to you.

The NYT’s BIG ‘Blunt Force’ Lie

Question: Who lied to The New York Times about the death of Officer Sicknick?

Mark Alexander

In an exposition on the “Art of the BIG Lie,” I wrote, “Leftists at the helm of the socialist Democrat Party, and their Leftmedia propagandists, are this generation’s undisputed masters of propagating the ‘Big Lie.’” That was in 2013.

Today’s Demo Party leftists, the Biden/Harris regime and its Pelosi/Schumer tag team, have become the grandmasters of the BIG Lie — empowered primarily by the colossal influence of their Leftmedia and social media outlets.

The most notorious and nefarious of the BIG Lie media outlets are The New York Times and CNN. They propagate half-truths and outright lies at a rate unrivaled by the rest of the Left-MSM field combined, and in fact many of the lies the downstream media parrot originate with the Times and CNN.

Seeking accountability for one high-profile Times lie, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) is after the source of the reprehensible Times assertion that Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick was murdered by Capitol rioters. That lie was then repeated so often it was almost universally accepted as fact, and even entered into evidence in the Demos’ post-presidential impeachment theatrical production against Donald Trump.

Fact is, Pelosi and Schumer willfully and disgracefully used Officer Sicknick’s death as a political prop, and the Times enabled that lie.

In his letter to the Demos’ stand-in Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman, now that the DC medical examiner has officially declared that Officer Sicknick died of “natural causes,” Johnson is asking who was behind the Capitol Police disinformation campaign about Brian’s death.

We are all owed a full accounting regarding those who lied on the grave of Officer Sicknick.

In my original essay on Officer Sicknick’s death, I noted that the day after he died, The New York Times reported that “the insurrectionists killed a Capitol Police officer by striking him in the head with a fire extinguisher.” The Times claimed it based the report on “law enforcement sources,” most likely Capitol Police sources. Despite there being no corroborating evidence for that claim, that lie was ubiquitously repeated by every other Left-MSM outlet. As I noted, it was not until February, “10 days after … the Democrats’ final day of impeachment ‘evidence’ in which they repeated The New York Times claim,” that the Times quietly updated its story to include, “medical experts have said he did not die of blunt force trauma.”

As former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy observed after the Times’s correction, if Officer Sicknick’s death “did not happen the way the House Democratic impeachment managers have represented that it happened, we should be told … why such an inflammatory allegation was made in the impeachment article and repeated in the pretrial memo.” And that is what Senator Johnson is now methodically endeavoring to uncover and enter into evidence in Pelosi’s sham commission to investigate the Capitol protest.

And a note of irony: When fact-checking USA Today fact-checkers about a “missing context” claim about a Patriot Post meme, the so-called “fact-checker” actually restated the “death by fire extinguisher” lie — a week after the Times and even CNN were walking back their “bludgeoning” reports. I asked that fact-checker if she would fact-check her own fact-check repeating that lie. No reply.

Finally, if Senator Johnson is able to get some answers from Capitol Police, maybe he can also get answers about the only Capitol death on 6 January caused by another person — that of Ashli Babbitt.

Insight: “True liberty cannot exist apart from the full rights of property, for property is the only crystallized form of free faculties.” —Auberon Herbert (1838-1906)

Upright: “Despite the talk of a ‘forever war,’ US troops in Afghanistan are not embroiled in warfare. The last American combat death occurred well over a year ago. Only about 3,500 US military personnel are deployed to Afghanistan, and they are involved primarily in training and logistics. Removing those forces will gain America very little. But it will immeasurably benefit the Taliban, who will exult, with reason, at having driven out the Americans.” —Jeff Jacoby

Re: The Left: “The catastrophe now unfolding at our border is a direct result of progressive policies and pronouncements emanating from Democrats in Washington. But Democrats can end this disaster just as quickly as they caused it. All they have to do is reinstate commonsense border enforcement and stop treating U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol as a concierge service for illegal aliens.” —Mike Pence

Political futures: “Given that the last presidential election was hotly contested, that Democratic congressional majorities are minuscule and that the Supreme Court is unsympathetic, the left seeks to change the rules to stay in power rather than adjust its unpopular policies. … Adam Smith said of successful nations that they have a lot of ‘ruin’ in them. He meant that a dissolute, leisured and ahistorical generation has to waste a lot of its generous inherited wealth before it runs out. We are learning how much will soon be left of what our ancestors bequeathed. And the rest of the world is watching — some with glee, others with horror.” —Victor Davis Hanson

Observations: “The United States has always frustrated the global ambitions of Marxists. A country founded as a democratic republic, having neither royalty nor nobility, and based upon economic principles of entrepreneurial capitalism has never been fertile soil for the class-based revolution of which the Marxists dream. But today’s collectivists believe they have found America’s Achilles’ heel, the key to the success that has eluded them for so long. They are fomenting hostility and drumming up fervor based not upon class but upon race.” —Laura Hollis

For the record: “Are there racists in America? Of course. There are racists in every nation, and there always will be. Racism is a sin. It must be condemned and resisted at every opportunity. But we are the least racist major nation in the world, and certainly the least racist multicultural nation in the world. To its great credit, America has elected a black president and a black vice president. We have a black Supreme Court justice. Many of our major cities have black mayors and police chiefs. Show me the black prime minister of Canada, the black prime minister of Great Britain, the black prime minister of France or the black chancellor of Germany.” —Gary Bauer

Editorial exegesis: “It would be nice to think all of this would prompt reflection among those who have exploited [George] Floyd’s killing for political purposes. But it probably won’t. Even after the verdict, commentators who applauded the jury gave last year’s riots in American cities the credit for inspiring it. Not the facts. Not the law. But lawless protests. If a large faction of Americans really believe that only mayhem in the streets can guarantee justice in America, then this verdict will mean little and we are in for far more unrest ahead.” —The Wall Street Journal

Race bait: “George Floyd would still be alive if he looked like me.” —California Governor Gavin Newsom, who apparently has also been passing counterfeit $20s

And last… “I’d love to see [Rashida Tlaib] resign. I’d throw her a goodbye party. Let her go. … When you talk about abolishing police, incarceration, you talk about safe cities — what do you think the residents in Detroit want?” —Detroit Police Chief James Craig

COVID Shots to “Decimate World Population,” Warns Dr. Bhakdi — Christian Research Service

Alex Newman
The New American

In this exclusive interview with The New American magazine’s Senior Editor Alex Newman, world-renown German-Thai-American microbiologist Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi warns that the COVID hysteria is based on lies and that the COVID “vaccines” are set to cause a global catastrophe and a decimation of the human population. Starting off, he explains that the PCR test has been abused to produce fear in a way that is unscientific. Next, he explains what the mRNA vaccines are going to do to the human body in terms and using analogies that anyone can understand. Among other concerns, he expects massive deadly clotting as well as immune system responses that will destroy the human body. Finally, Bhakdi, who warned of impending “doom” during a Fox News interview that went viral, calls for criminal prosecutions of the people responsible and an immediate halt to this global experiment.

Ex-Obama Admin Scientist Slams Biden’s ‘Climate Crisis’ Narrative: Data ‘Doesn’t Support That Kind of Hysteria’

Former President Barack Obama’s undersecretary for the Department of Energy, Steven Koonin, said that science does not support the “hysteria” of the Biden administration’s stance on the global “climate crisis.”

“What I realized, is that, although you hear people talking about ‘we’re going to believe in the science, the science is settled, we’ve got an existential crisis,’” Koonin told Fox News on Thursday.

“When you actually read the science, it doesn’t support that kind of hysteria at all.”

The End of Basic Education: Biden Issues Public School Critical Race Theory Order — Christian Research Network

“Critical race theory curriculum tells students that they fall into one of two categories – the oppressed or the oppressor – based solely on the color of their skin. It tells students that if they are white then they are privileged and racist, and makes them affirm this ideology through classroom discussion and assignments.”

(Kimberly Hermann – PJ Media)  The Biden Department of Education has quietly proposed a new rule prioritizing the use of federal tax dollars for K-12 schools that replace traditional education with “culturally responsive teaching and learning” – more commonly referred to as critical race theory….

This is the most significant move by the federal government to redefine the nature of state-funded public schools in U.S. history.

Although the current effort to push public schools receiving federal funding to adopt a detailed indoctrination agenda may feel new and overwhelming for parents, the truth is that the Biden attempt is simply the last phase in a decades-long effort to control local schools and press the progressive agenda on our children. With the power of taxpayer-funded purse strings, the federal government sends a message to public schools that if they want financial aid they must “teach” critical race theory and prioritize its ideologically anti-American, anti-traditional agenda over traditional education. View article →

Southern Baptist Leader to Join Globalist Elitist, George W. Bush, to Push Open Borders Agenda — Reformation Charlotte

Russell Moore, a deep-state globalist disguised as a Christian leader, is the head of the Southern Baptist Convention’s most influential entity and public policy arm, the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC). Moore, since his installation to his religious post in 2014 by global Marxist elites and approved by Southern Baptist Theological Seminary head, Al Mohler, has been using his platform as a launching pad for progressive politics and to turn the formerly conservative denomination to the left.

In an open letter to the Trump administration in 2019, Russell Moore and his Evangelical Immigration Table, a Soros-funded front-group for the National Immigration Forum, blasted border patrol and national security agents for the “mistreatment” of criminal trespassers who have willfully breached the nation’s southern borders. The letter called on the Trump administration to use tax-payer dollars to fund free healthcare, sanitation services, and quickly give legal status to these criminals who would otherwise “qualify” for it — despite the fact they’ve broken the laws and illegally invaded the country.

All in the name of Jesus, of course.

An Early Mode of Baptism
Matthew 28:19

Concerning baptism, baptize in this way: having reviewed all of these things, baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, in running water. But if you do not have access to running water, baptize in other water. And if you are not able to baptize with cold water, then baptize with warm water. But if you possess neither, pour water on the head three times, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. And before the baptism the baptizer should fast beforehand, and the one being baptized and any others who are able. Call upon the one being baptized to fast beforehand for one or two days.
