“He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
The megadrought that has almost the entire western half of the country in a death grip is starting to become extremely painful. In some areas, irrigation water is being totally cut off for farmers, and that is going to result in a totally lost year for many of them. Without water, you simply cannot grow crops, and irrigation water is the difference between success and failure for multitudes of western farmers. Scientists are also warning that this upcoming wildfire season could be even worse than last year due to the bone dry conditions. For me, it is difficult to imagine a wildfire season that is any worse than what we experienced in 2021. But this is what they are telling us. This megadrought has already been going on for many years, and experts are giving us very little hope that things will improve any time in the foreseeable future. In fact, CBS News is reporting that this current drought is in danger of evolving into a “permanent drought”…
Extreme drought across the Western U.S. has become as reliable as a summer afternoon thunderstorm in Florida. And news headlines about drought in the West can seem a bit like a broken record, with some scientists saying the region is on the precipice of permanent drought.
Even during the “Dust Bowl” of the 1930s, there was always hope that the drought would end and normal conditions would return.
But now we are being told that this is the new normal.
The western half of the country desperately needed a healthy level of precipitation during last winter’s “wet season”, but instead conditions were much drier than usual…
Consequently, this past winter’s wet season was not very wet at all. In fact, it just added insult to injury, with only 25 to 50% of normal rainfall falling across much of the Southwest and California. This followed one of the driest and hottest summers in modern times, with two historic heat waves, a summer monsoon cycle that simply did not even show up and the worst fire season in modern times.
Now we are moving into “the dry season”, and there simply is not enough water for everyone.
Along the California-Oregon border, things just went from bad to worse. Farmers in the region already knew that they would be getting much less water this year, but now federal officials have decided to completely shut the water off for most farmers…
The water crisis along the California-Oregon border went from dire to catastrophic this week as federal regulators shut off irrigation water to farmers from a critical reservoir and said they would not send extra water to dying salmon downstream or to a half-dozen wildlife refuges that harbor millions of migrating birds each year.
In what is shaping up to be the worst water crisis in generations, the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation said it will not release water this season into the main canal that feeds the bulk of the massive Klamath Reclamation Project, marking a first for the 114-year-old irrigation system. The agency announced last month that hundreds of irrigators would get dramatically less water than usual, but a worsening drought picture means water will be completely shut off instead.
Needless to say, for many of them no water will mean no crops.
Oregon Governor Kate Brown has already declared a drought emergency.
So has California Governor Gavin Newsom.
The state of California grows more of our vegetables than anyone else does, and this growing water crisis is forcing many farmers in the state to make some heartbreaking decisions…
With the uncertainty of water, some Central Valley farmers are destroying their crops ahead of the summer season in order to survive. It’s impacting jobs and soon possibly the grocery shelves.
In many instances, farmers are destroying some of their crops in order to give other crops half a chance of making it.
“There’s been a blade that’s cut underneath and these here, they are green still but they are going to die,” explained Del Bosque.
The loss of asparagus means 50-60 farmworkers are out of a job next year.
If more crops are lost, jobs will follow.
This is already a major national crisis, and it is getting worse with each passing month.
According to the NOAA, the soil moisture content in our southwestern states is now the lowest it has been “in at least 120 years”…
Kelsey Satalino, the Digital Communications Coordinator from NOAA’s National Integrated Drought Information System, says that during the past few months, several states including Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah experienced their most intense period of drought since the Drought Monitor began back in 2000. As a result, soil moisture content is at its lowest levels in at least 120 years.
That means that things weren’t even this bad during the Dust Bowl days of the 1930s.
As I have discussed in previous articles, colossal dust storms are now regularly happening in the western half of the country.
In addition to being extremely unpleasant, these dust storms can also spread fungal spores that cause Valley fever. The following comes from NASA…
Valley fever is a dangerous threat to human health – and cases are on the rise in the arid southwestern United States, as wind from increasing dust storms can transport the fungal spores that cause the disease. Valley fever is caused by the Coccidioides fungus, which grows in dirt and fields and can cause fever, rash and coughing. Using NASA research and satellite data, the World Meteorological Organization is refining its Sand and Dust Storm Warning Advisory and Assessment System to help forecast where dust risk is greatest.
In my most recent book, I warned that “record drought”was coming, and now it is here.
Sadly, extremely dry conditions create an ideal environment for wildfires.
Last year’s wildfire season was a complete and utter nightmare, but now officials are warning that 2021 could be even worse.
Could that be possible?
It is hard to imagine anything worse than what we witnessed in California last year, but it appears that things are off to an even earlier start this year.
Los Angeles County authorities looked Sunday for a potential arsonist who might have set off a brush fire that forced the mandatory evacuation of about 1,000 people in the exclusive Pacific Palisades area near Topanga Canyon.
Cool and wet conditions overnight helped prevent the Palisades Fire from spreading beyond the 750 acres it had reached Saturday, but the LA Fire Department said in an update Sunday morning that warming weather and afternoon winds may push the blaze northwest – threatening homes – as it rips through dense mountain vegetation that “is very dry and has not burned in 50+ years.’’
It almost seems like the west coast is under some sort of a curse.
Whenever it seems like things couldn’t get any worse, somehow they do.
Scientists tell us that another very dry summer is looming, and that is extremely bad news for the entire region.
Dust Bowl conditions have returned, and it appears that they will be with us for a long time to come.

Cranmer Recants of His Insincere Writings 2 Corinthians 7:9–10
Now I come to the great thing that so much troubles my conscience, more than anything that ever I did or said in my whole life. And that is, the setting abroad of writings contrary to the truth; which now here I renounce and refuse as things written with my hand contrary to the truth that I thought in my heart, and written for fear of death and to save my life if it might be. And that is, all such bills and papers that I have written or signed with my hand since my degradation; wherein I have written many things untrue. And since my hand offended, writing contrary to my heart, my hand shall therefore first be punished; for, may I come to the fire, it shall be first burned.

2:8 Paul’s method of ministry was not only the impartation of the gospel but the sharing of his own life as well.
2:8 Apparent throughout this section (vv. 17–20; 3:6–12) is Paul’s deep affection for his spiritual children, who but months before were complete strangers to him, alienated by race, culture, and religion.
2:8 So deep was his affectionate concern for them, he was anxious to share with them rather than to receive from them. His was not a cold, perfunctory dispensing of the gospel of God but a pouring out of his very soul. He loved them, and love is heedless of cost. Like his Master, he did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life (Mark 10:45).
2:8. Rather than being greedy (v. 5) the missionaries were delighted to share with the Thessalonians. They not only gave the message of eternal life, the gospel of God, but also imparted their own innermost beings (lit., “our own souls”) as well. They gave whatever they had in order to help the beloved Thessalonians. The love of Paul and his companions is evident, for genuine love finds expression in giving to people—not only to their spiritual needs, which are primary, but also to their physical needs.
8 This attitude is described in terms of an affection which expresses itself in a desire to give gifts. The greatest gift from a Christian point of view is the gospel of God, but from a human point of view it is to share one’s inmost being with somebody, as two lovers might wish to do.
2:8. Here is a classic understanding of biblical love. To Paul, love is always a verb, it is doing. Feelings may accompany love, but they do not define it. Instead, the commitment of acting in the best interest of another opens the way for feelings: We loved you so much that we were delighted to share … our lives.
It is easier to teach theology than to love, easier to share lists than time. Paul gave not only the message of the gospel, but the example of it as well. He spent time. He shared joys and headaches. Parents and teachers, coaches and mentors, pastors and leaders know what it means to give part of their heart away to others. Love is not just a job. It is a way of life.
But note that Paul did share the gospel of God. He was balanced. He gave his life and love. He gave content as well. It is not enough to visit people in the hospital or prison, or to show compassion to the poor or those new in the faith. Somewhere, carefully and candidly, they must also hear the truth of the cross and what it means to trust and follow Christ.
Arguing whether the church should meet people’s physical needs or whether it should limit itself to preaching the gospel is like debating which wing of an airplane is more important. Both are essential!
“Having so fond an affection for you”
“So, affectionately longing for you”
“So deeply do we care for you”
“Because of our love for you”
“we felt so devoted and protective towards you”
This word appears nowhere else in the entire New Testament. A strong term of affection related to babies, it was used in Greek literature for parents longing for their dead children.
8. So, being affectionately desirous of you, we gladly shared with you not only the gospel of God but also our own souls.
What a powerful combination: here is the true gospel combined with the most affectionate presentation! And all this in the service of the Holy Spirit! How then can it cause surprise that these missionaries had been so successful?
It is probably impossible (except for the spacing of the letters of the pronoun) to improve on the rendering “being affectionately desirous of you” (thus A.V., taken over by A.R.V., and retained even by R.S.V.). Wyclif translates: “desirynge you with greet loue.” Others: “yearning for (or yearning after) you.” The word used in the original occurs only here in the New Testament. Cf. its use in Job 3:21: the bitter in soul “long for” death. In a sepulchral inscription the sorrowing parents are described as “greatly desiring their son.”
It is very well possible that there is a bit of irony in this expression, as if Paul wanted to say, “Those who slander us are saying that we were out to get you; well, they are right, we were indeed yearning for you, but the purpose was not to take something from you but to share something with you.” And that something consisted of nothing less than these two treasures: the gospel of God and our very souls (or perhaps selves as in John 10:11; see N.T.C. on that passage), our talents, time, energies; see on the next verse; and all this because you had become very dear to us. Paul, Silas, and Timothy have a vivid recollection of their work in Thessalonica. All those scenes of joyful acceptance of the good news, and this in spite of bitter persecution, pass in review once more. They recall how close had been the fellowship and how the bond between themselves and these people had become more and more strong and enduring. These believers who were God’s beloved had also become very dear to God’s special envoys. An appeal is made to their own memory:
8. The apostles behaved in a genuinely affectionate manner towards the Thessalonians; Paul repeats the thought in different words: we loved you so much. He uses an unusual verb (homeiromenoi), and, while it cannot be proved, Wohlenberg’s conjecture that it may be a term of endearment derived from the nursery (cited in Milligan) is very attractive, and may well be right. At any rate the verb does express a yearning over the converts, and a good will that is repeated in we were delighted (eudokoumen).
The preachers were delighted to impart the gospel of God to the Thessalonians; not only so, but they shared their lives as well. av translates psychas as ‘souls’, while a number of translations join niv with lives (gnb, jb, lb). But psychē does not mean quite ‘soul’ or even ‘life’; in a context like this it stands for the whole personality, ‘our own selves’ (rsv). Paul is speaking of that giving of oneself (and not simply a message that one has heard somewhere) that is of the very essence of genuine Christian teaching and evangelism. As Best puts it, ‘The true missionary is not someone specialized in the delivery of the message but someone whose whole being, completely committed to a message which demands all, is communicated to his hearers.’ There is an intensity of expression which is a rebuke to that tepid service that keeps the innermost self to oneself and is always a cause of ineffectiveness. Vital Christian service is costly.
Part of the reason for Paul’s giving of himself is seen in the concluding words of the verse, which really mean ‘for you became beloved to us’, where ‘beloved’ points to the self-giving quality of agapē (see on 1:3)
Ver. 8.—So being affectionately desirous of you; a strong expression in the original: “being filled with earnest love for you.” We were willing. The word denotes a predetermination of the will: “we esteemed it good.” To have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls. An evident climax: not only were we willing to preach the gospel of God to you, but more than this, to sacrifice our own lives for your advantage. The word here rendered “souls” denotes lives; and the meaning is that the apostle was willing to submit to death for the sake of the Thessalonians. The plural “we” still implies Paul and Silas and Timothy. The thought is—As a nursing mother not only nourishes her children, but is also ready to sacrifice her life for them; so the apostle not only nourished his spiritual children with the pure milk of the gospel, but was ready to sacrifice his own life for their spiritual maintenance; thus expressing in the strongest manner the womanly tenderness of the apostle toward his converts. Because ye were dear unto us.
2:8 / We loved you so much, Paul adds, and the verse ends as it begins on this note, that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. It is conjectured that the verb homeiromai, found only here in the nt, is “a term of endearment borrowed from the language of the nursery” (Wohlenberg, cited by Milligan) and that Paul is, therefore, sustaining the metaphor of the previous verse. In any case, the point of that verse is reinforced with this further assertion of the missionaries’ affection for the Thessalonians, such that they were pleased “to spend and be spent” in their interest (2 Cor. 12:15). The divine origin of the gospel is again indicated by the subjective genitive, “of God” (see disc. on 1:5). To preach such a gospel is a demanding task, but nowhere nearly as demanding as sharing one’s life with those to whom it is preached. But can the preacher do any less? “No servant is greater than his master,” said Jesus, “nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him” (John 13:16). But our Master, Jesus, “did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). As self-sacrifice lay at the heart of his ministry, so it does with all Christian ministry, whether it be preaching or any other.
8 All this had followed naturally enough from the fact that Paul and his companions had cherished such a deep regard for the Thessalonians. Now he employs a most unusual word to express it, a verb found only here in the New Testament and very rarely elsewhere. It expresses a real depth of desire: “we loved you so much” brings out much of its significance, but Paul is not using any of the usual words for love. He does not say “we would have been delighted to share with you,” but simply “we were delighted to share with you.” The turn of phrase points us to what was actually done rather than what was contemplated. It is part of the picture Paul is painting for us that this should be so definite. The verb is in the imperfect, a continuous tense, and the implication is that this was no passing whim of the apostles, but their habitual style. Throughout their stay in Thessalonica they had been happy continually to be giving to their hearers.
When Paul speaks of the gift they made, he puts “the gospel of God” first. Even when he is putting the emphasis elsewhere, he never loses sight of the fact that it was the gospel that gave the reason for the very existence of the preachers. They were “slaves of Christ.” They lived to render service to God. The particular service to which they were called was the imparting of the blessed news of the salvation that God himself had made available to sinners through the atoning death of his Son. Nothing must ever obscure that great fact.
But true preaching of the gospel implies the total commitment of the preachers to the task. Paul has already made it clear that they gave a message (vv. 2, 3); now he goes on to make the point that they gave themselves. He makes this clear by the addition of “but our lives as well.” By “lives” he means their whole personalities; his expression sums up their innermost being. Thus he is saying that in their preaching the apostles gave themselves without stint (cf. also 2 Cor. 12:15; Phil. 2:17). It is clear that this meant much to Paul. He was entirely given over to living out the implications of the gospel and proclaiming it wherever he could. R. F. Hock argues that the apostle would have used the workshop as a place for his preaching; he sees the apostle as “busy at tentmaking and busy at preaching the gospel.” There is nothing improbable in the thought that Paul “gossiped the gospel” as he engaged in his trade.
The verse ends, as it began, with an expression of tender affection. We, the preachers, have done all this, says Paul, “because you had become so dear to us.” “So dear”44 brings before us the specifically Christian quality of love; its use brings to mind that that love is essentially self-giving. It is not a desire to possess the beloved, but a desire to give, a desire inspired by the nature of the God whom Christians worship. Paul had come to see the Thessalonians as the objects of God’s love, and therefore as the objects of the love of God’s servants too.
8 The manner of gentle treatment was a willingness to “share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.” “We loved you so much” represents a rare word of uncertain derivation (homeiromai, GK 3916; see Notes), but the general thrust is clear. The missionaries knew a constant yearning for these people, so much so that they found it a continual delight (eudokoumen, “we were delighted”; NASB, “we were well-pleased”) to share their whole being with them. “Lives” (psychas, GK 6034) denotes more than just physical lives; in the depths of their being, they cared “because [the Thessalonians] had become so dear” to them. An even stronger relationship of love developed as the ministry continued—a relationship like that of a nursing mother with her child.
Having so fond an affection for you, (2:8a)
In extending the metaphor of a nursing mother, it was logical for Paul to mention the motive for such nurturing gentleness—love. He possessed fond affection for the Thessalonians. A mother who carries an infant son or daughter on her breast has a naturally fond affection that is unequalled in other human contexts. The Greek word translated fond affection (homeiromai; used only here in the New Testament) means to long for someone passionately and earnestly, and, being linked to a mother’s love, is intended here to express an affection so deep and compelling as to be unsurpassed. Ancient inscriptions on the tombs of dead babies sometimes contained this term when parents wanted to describe their sad longing for a too-soon-departed child.
Paul acknowledged that God naturally designed such intimate affection into the hearts of mothers. The hearts of all righteous spiritual leaders have been supernaturally given the same type of affection for their people, even as he and his companions had for those who were Christ’s.
we were well-pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us. (2:8b)
Such personal and intimate supernatural affection was not out of a sense of obligation; they were not merely carrying out an assignment as God’s messengers. It was, rather, the highest joy of their hearts to so love. Paul said they were well-pleased to so minister. That desire defined an eagerness and zealousness generated from love-filled hearts (cf. 3:12).
They came first of all to impart … the gospel of God. The verb translated impart means to share, or give someone something of which one retains a part. That is exactly what happens when Christians impart to other people divine truth. They give someone else the good news of salvation, yet without losing possession of it themselves.
Paul and his fellow workers taught the transforming truths of the gospel of God (see comments on 2:2) and yet retained those truths, even strengthening them by the giving (as all good teachers know), thus forming a loving, enriching fellowship with those who accepted the message. Implicit in the expression gospel of God is a doctrinal fullness that encompasses justification, sanctification, and glorification (cf. Titus 1:1–2). (And because God is the source of the good news, even election is included.) The missionaries understood and obeyed the Great Commission’s injunction that said Christians were to “make disciples of all the nations … teaching them to observe all that I commanded you” (Matt. 28:19–20). They exhorted the Thessalonians to repent and embrace Christ’s death and resurrection (justification). They also instructed them on how to live holy lives in obedience to Scripture and in the power of the Holy Spirit (sanctification) and to wait for their eternal glory at the glorious coming of the Lord for His beloved church (glorification). (In reality, all New Testament teaching relates to the complete gospel in some way.)
Besides imparting the complete gospel, Paul, Silas, and Timothy shared also their own lives. Literally, they gave up their souls—their real inner beings—for the sake of the Thessalonians. There was nothing superficial or partial about their sacrificial service. A woman who fulfills the biblical role for motherhood does the same thing when she, at great cost to herself, unselfishly and generously sets aside her life for the benefit of her beloved children. That is especially true of the nursing mother as she provides nourishing milk for her little one and cares for her newborn baby’s every need.
Paul ministered to his people with that same attitude of all-out commitment because, as babies to a mother, they had become very dear to him. Very dear adds to the images and descriptions intended by Paul to unmistakably demonstrate the heart of a godly pastor.

The fulfillment of Bible prophecy has become fast and furious, so this article is longer than usual.
Consider the following facts:
One, concerning world government: on May 7, 2021, Dave Hodges reported on The Common Sense Show that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is demanding a global tax in advance of global governance.
Two, a reader sent me an e-mail that said:
“I’m picking up a lot of noise from the Global Reset mob regarding all world nations/governments being coerced/forced to immediately agree to compulsory inoculation of everyone with no exceptions.”
“I expect that most of the world’s diverse populations WILL readily accept this because it will be sold as the only alternative to prevent 3rd/4th etc., waves of the virus.”
The next few weeks (not months) should indicate to any thinking person (prepared to do some research of their own) whether I’m on the money or simply an alarmist.
Three, on May 5, 2021, Breitbart carried information from a Guardian article that said, “The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that the birth rate in the U.S. fell by four percent in 2020 — the largest yearly drop in five decades.”
According to the article, “The findings echo a recent Associated Press analysis of 2020 data from 25 states showing that births had fallen during the coronavirus outbreak.” (The writer’s comment: Some pundits believe one purpose of the so-called Covid Crisis is population reduction. In fact, a former vice president of Pfizer said future vaccinations “could be used for mass murder.”)
(This writer’s comment: For whatever it is worth, it is not hard to find articles that say the U.S. government and CDC understate reports of adverse reactions to the vaccinations.)
On May 6, 2021, Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson “cited government statistics showing more Americans have died after getting the COVID vaccine (average is 30 people per day) in four months than from all other vaccines combined in more than a decade and a half.”
Carlson said, “The number of deaths is likely much higher than what VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) is reporting.”
(This writer’s comment: Others have had blood clots, strokes, gone blind, been paralyzed for life, and more. According to a committee of academics in the UK, death and other adverse reactions will be much greater by the time people take their third round of vaccinations if they are not significantly improved.)
Four, concerning mandatory Covid vaccination: a May 6, 2021 blog by Stephen Kokx, Content Marketing Manager for LifeSiteNews.com. says:
“Big Pharma doesn’t want healthy people; it wants customers.” (This writer’s comment: Big Pharma is making multiplied billions of dollars from their effort to force everyone on earth to be vaccinated, get booster shots, perhaps be vaccinated for variants the rest of their life, etc. On May 7, 2021, there was a report on a March 16, 2021 article titled, “Pfizer execs discuss hiking the vaccine price after pandemic wanes.”)
“The global medical establishment not only rejects but detests the idea that the human body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.” (Writer’s comment: They contribute large sums of money to globalists that are trying to establish a godless world government.)
“The pressure being put on every man, woman, and now child to get the COVID sludge injected into their veins is an all-out assault on the human person as a creature made in the image and likeness of God.” (This writer’s comment: Globalists and Big Pharma are ignoring the fact that some ‘misleadingly-labeled vaccine[s]’ alter the DNA of the vaccinated, and this could lead to major religious implications.)
Five, in a LifeSiteNews.com article on May 6, 2021, Doug Mainwaring reported that The American Journal of Therapeutics has published a research paper calling for Ivermectin to be “globally & systematically deployed as a treatment for COVID-19.”
Mainwaring wrote that “Many have wondered if perhaps governments and Big Pharma have an agenda to push the vaccine while eliminating cheaper, more effective ways of treating the coronavirus.”
“They (the authors of the study) cite many examples of ‘Ivermectin distribution campaigns leading to rapid population-wide decreases in morbidity and mortality,’ prompting them to conclude that as an oral agent, ivermectin is “effective in all phases of COVID-19.”
The authors of the study wrote, “In the context of Ivermectin’s long-standing safety record, low cost, and wide availability along with the consistent, reproducible, large magnitude of findings on transmission rates, need for hospitalization, and mortality, widespread deployment in both prevention and treatment has been proposed.”
The article is loaded with more information from the study.
Six, concerning forced vaccinations: on May 7, 2021, Bill Koenig wrote, “This is all rapidly leading to a one-world political order, one-world religious order, one-world financial order. It is leading to kingdoms against kingdoms and final-day pandemics that will lead to massive deaths spoken of in the Bible.”
Concerning kingdoms against kingdoms: the Bible clearly says the Antichrist will go forth “conquering, and to conquer” (Rev. 6:2); he will receive power from Satan, and people will ask, “who is able to make war with him?” (Rev. 13:4).
Seven, Pres. Biden fully supports a godless world government.
Biden is the Pres. that asked a “Christian” preacher friend to offer the benediction at his inauguration, and the prayer was closed, not in the name of Jesus, but “in the strong name of our collective faith.”
This is the kind of thinking that left God out of the Democrat Party Platform.
The Biden administration denied a permit for prayer at the Capitol on the National Day of Prayer.
The U.S. national motto is “One nation under God,” our money has “In God we trust on it,” but Biden issued a proclamation on the National Day of Prayer, and that did not mention God even once (he is the only Pres. to do this since the National Day of Prayer was initiated, and he calls himself a good Catholic.).
A misnamed bill, called the “For the People Act” (some call it the “Equality Act”), has been introduced in Congress that decreases the rights of Christians and faith-based groups, and will most surely lead to persecution of Christians.
Some of our leaders seem to be inadvertently begging for the Tribulation Period to begin and the judgment of God to fall on the U.S.
Eight, many Democrats support the globalist desire for nations to surrender their sovereignty to a world government, eliminate patriotism and nationalism, and refer to citizens as citizens of the world instead of their nation.
The U.S. has held a Memorial Day parade to honor our veterans for 101 years, but the permit for a parade in 2021 has been denied supposedly to prevent the spread of Covid.
But Black Lives Matter rioters and looters were not only allowed to march in a parade; they were encouraged to do so, and Mayor DeBlasio participated and painted “Black Lives Matter” on a street in Manhattan.
Veterans’ groups plan to sue the city of New York for discrimination against veterans, if the city continues to refuse their permit.
Nine, concerning the Russian invasion of Ukraine: it has been estimated that Russia had more than 100,000 troops on the Ukraine’s border.
Russia told world leaders those troops would be withdrawn by May 1, 2021.
On May 6, 2021, it was reported that the U.S. estimates that Russia still has not removed about 80,000 troops, and those that withdrew left most of their weapons behind, enabling them to rapidly return if Russia tells them to.
Two Ukrainian soldiers were killed in skirmishes this week, bringing the total to 36 for the year.
Ten, in Mar. 2021, the Biden administration put a clause in its Covid Relief Plan (called the America Rescue Plan Act of 2021) that provides $4 billion debt forgiveness for black farmers and ranchers, but not white farmers and ranchers.
Businesses owned by women and minorities can also get debt forgiveness for up to $10 million (not more than $5 per location), but white men that own restaurants will be last in line and must hope the money does not run out.
If the Democratic Party’s forgiveness of debts is based on the color of one’s skin is not racism, what is it?
Eleven, concerning global hyperinflation and an economic collapse during the Tribulation Period (Rev. 6:5-6): on May 4, 2021, it was reported that the average price of a new home in the U.S. has increased by $35,872 in one year.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the price of lumber is more than 4 times what it should be for this time of the year.
It has been reported that the cost of renting a house will surge, and homeowners shouldn’t be surprised if the cost of their house insurance soars.
(This writer’s comment: Some existing houses are selling for more than the asking price because real estate agents and speculators know that fuel prices, the retirement or resignation of truckers in large Democrat-run cities because of the Defund the Police movement, and other things are causing the number of people that can afford a new house to dwindle fast. Readers that are planning to sell their current house should take note of this.)
On May 10, 2021, there was a report that U.S. national debt is now increasing at the rate of about 1 million dollars per minute.
Twelve, concerning the effort to silence former Pres. Trump’s opposition to world government and the surrender of U.S. sovereignty: on May 4, 2021, Trump announced the launch of a new platform called “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” at http://www.DonaldJTrump.com/desk.
Thirteen, concerning a covenant of peace in the Middle East: on May 7, 2021, it was reported that Jared Kushner has created a group called the “Abraham Accords Institute for Peace” to strengthen the normalization agreements between Israel, the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco.
The group will include advisors from some of the Arab nations, Democrats, and others that are interested in peace.
Fourteen, concerning corrupt government: according to Caroline Glick, a highly respected Israeli journalist, the U.S. will soon have a two-tiered justice system “where favored groups are protected, and disfavored groups are left to fend for themselves.”
Fifteen, more on corrupt government: massive fraud is being found in the audit of voting in Arizona, and Democrats are in a frenzy to stop the audit. (The DOJ is even threatening auditors with criminal prosecution over their involvement in the audit.)
Maricopa County officials are ignoring subpoenas from the state legislature.
They are refusing to provide routers demanded by the state senate.
There has been testimony that the election was run by Dominion employees, a private company with ties to China, instead of Maricopa County officials that were supposed to be in charge.
This is the only audit of its kind in the U.S., and if the Dept. of Justice, Supreme Court, and others had not been corrupted, the globalists probably would not be in a position to surrender America’s sovereignty today. But do not worry, God knew about their godless world government before the foundation of the world, He has an amazing plan to protect His people (the Rapture), and He will deal with it (the Tribulation Period).
The audit should be finished next week.
Sixteen, more on corrupt government, Jesus said the last days will be like the days of Noah when the wickedness of man was great (Matt. 24:37).
There seems to be a deliberate effort to increase violence in the U.S.
The U.S. border with Mexico has been thrown wide open to terrorists, drug cartels, and others.
Officials have banned most deportations of illegal aliens, they want them to vote, etc.
Officials are giving amnesty to illegal aliens, not allowing the Border Patrol to do their job, etc.
Officials have bailed rioters and looters out of jail and allowed them to continue burning down buildings, destroy police cars, etc.
Officials have reduced police protection with the “Defund the Police” movement, released criminals from prison early, etc.
Seventeen, concerning God giving people over to a reprobate mind (Rom. 1:28): the CDC has started referring to expectant women as “people who are pregnant” and “people who are breastfeeding” because they do not want to call them mothers, women, or females, and now a Democrat from Missouri is calling them “birthing people.”
They even pretend that people do not know what gender they are, and people can call themselves any gender they want, although God said there are two genders.
There was a time when professional groups called this a mental illness, but now many celebrate it and say those that oppose it hate people.
Something Franklin Graham said covers this: “You can argue all you want, you can try and deny the Truth all you want, but God’s Word is the final arbiter.”
Eighteen, on May 8, 2021, Jonathan Cahn released his latest prophetic message (about 33 min.), revealing his unique understanding of what is going on and what to do.
Nineteen, according to the Bible, Jerusalem will be a cup of trembling and a burdensome stone for the whole world at the end of the age (Zech. 12:2-3).
The first 10 days of May 2021 have brought violence in Jerusalem, at the Temple Mount, and in Judea and Samaria.
On May 7, 2021, widespread violence injured 17 Israeli police (about half had to be hospitalized) and 205 Palestinians (many carried away on stretchers).
On May 8, 2021, 1 Israeli police officer and 90 Palestinians (14 hospitalized) were injured.
On May 9, 2021, the IDF announced that Israel will be sending 3 more battalions of troops to the area to try to calm the situation.
On May 9, 2021, the UN Security Council met in an emergency session, condemned the Palestinian violence, and urged Israel to halt eviction plans in East Jerusalem.
On May 10, 2021, it was reported that the violence is escalating, and more than 150 rockets have been fired into Israel so far. Several were fired at Jerusalem; 1 house was hit, and the Israeli Knesset had to evacuate.
On May 10-11, 2021, more than 200 rockets were fired into Israel, killing 2 Israeli women, injuring about 70 Israeli soldiers, and damaging many structures.
Israeli retaliation in Gaza killed about 20 people, including women and children.
Through the years, there have been many flare-ups that were settled before war broke out, but at the time of this writing, a ceasefire is not on the horizon.
This is a very serious situation, and if this is not settled soon, it could lead to some of the end-of-the-age prophesied wars.
One Israeli writer is calling it “a battle for the Temple Mount.”
Finally, if you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.
Your situation may make us feel helpless, but the truth is that we have not been left alone without help.
A Prayer for God’s Presence When You Feel Helpless
By: Emily Rose Massey
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1-2, NKJV).
We started receiving our hospital bills from our youngest son’s birth and on the breakdown of his five-hour NICU stay, “resuscitation” was listed. Of course, seeing that word in black and white really hit me. Clearly, the Lord needed him here. Perhaps his life will have great purpose on earth.
But his first three months of life were so incredibly difficult that it was hard to see beyond the moment. Colic was absolute torture on his tiny body and if I’m being honest, absolute torture on the whole family.
When he was about eight weeks old, I tried to leave the house for about an hour to get a break. My husband got off work and said he would watch the boys for me. I barely made it onto the highway when I got a text from my husband that I needed to come back home. Our son was inconsolable, and he was refusing a bottle. I walked in the door and grabbed my son and gave my husband a scowling look of disappointment.
In that moment, I was reminded that we are selfish creatures and when something is difficult or an inconvenience to our personal comfort, our flesh cannot take it. We want to lash out in anger. We want to cry, scream, or run away to escape it. Listening to a baby scream uncontrollably for hours on end is one of those things that will test you as a Christian on every side. That night, after three hours straight of trying to comfort my boy, I held Jude in the recliner as he screamed inconsolably and writhed in pain with my earbuds blasting worship music. I began to helplessly weep which turned into a panic attack. I prayed, “Lord, I know I don’t deserve Your mercy, but please help.” Suddenly, peace came, even if for a moment.
Have you ever been in a situation where you have felt completely helpless? The situation may make us feel helpless, but the truth is that we have not been left alone without help.
Sometimes our circumstances don’t change, but God reminds us that He is with us in it. That difficult night with my son and every difficult moment as a parent, even though I feel so incredibly helpless, I will continue to lift my eyes where I know my help comes from.
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills – From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth” (Psalm 121:1-2, NKJV).
Our ever-present help in time of need is the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He is also the Maker of my son, Jude, who is a gift from my Heavenly Father. Being a mother will undoubtedly conform me even more into the image of God. God will use these seemingly helpless situations to change us from the inside out and remind us to always cry out to Him, our ultimate help in times of trouble. Instead of wallowing in despair, let us lift our eyes to Him.
I am discouraged, disappointed, worried, overwhelmed, and burnt-out. I feel downright helpless when life seems to beat me down like this. I know You have not left us orphans and that You are always with us.
I ask that You would remind my heart of this beautiful truth: You are not a Father who would abandon us in our trials or in our pain. You are near to the broken-hearted and You have given us the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. You are the help we need when we face various storms in our life.
I lift my eyes to the heavens and know that You hear my cries. I trust that even if my circumstances do not change, You are working in my life to use these hard times to change me to look more like Your Son, Jesus.
In His name I pray. Amen.

Aiming at God’s Glory in Everything 1 Chronicles 29:11; Psalm 57:5, 11; 108:5; 113:4
Wherever man may stand, whatever he may do, to whatever he may apply his hand, in agriculture, in commerce, and in industry, or his mind, in the world of art, and science, he is, in whatever it may be, constantly standing before the face of his God. He is employed in the service of his God, he has strictly to obey his God, and above all, he has to aim at the glory of his God.

Hungering After God’s Word Psalm 119:72, 103; Matthew 5:6
To hunger after God’s Word is to desire to hear it. Many there are that hear holy reading and go empty away. They have no devout feeling towards it; they lack all taste for it, and therefore easily lose all that they have heard. The very fact of hearing in this manner is a judgment upon them.… We must then first exercise our heart in desiring and hungering after God’s Word, so that divine grace may come to pervade our whole being, to refresh us with spiritual savor and sweetness.

Destructive tornado rips through Wuhan, killing 8 people and injuring 280, China A destructive tornado ripped through the city of Wuhan, capital of China’s Hubei Province, at around 20:39 LT on Friday, May 14, 2021, killing at least 8 people and leaving 280 injured. This is the second extreme weather event to hit the city in just 4 days. Another tornado hit the city of Shengze on May 14, killing 4 people and injuring 149.
Let’s demand a recount… of COVID deaths How deadly is the SARS-COV-2 virus? Part of the equation depends on accurately determining just who has died from COVID-19 infection. It turns out that, thanks to changes the Centers for Disease Control (“CDC”) made to its rules, along with Congressional incentives, America’s COVID-19 counts are almost certainly inaccurate.
CDC credibility ‘eroding’ according to ex-Obama official “I think the CDC’s credibility is eroding as quickly as the cases of coronavirus are eroding,” said Dr. Kavita Patel, a nonresident fellow at the Brookings Institution and former Obama official. “That’s not good news, because, we do need workplace guidance, we need school guidance,” she added in comments to CNBC‘s Shephard Smith.
PAVING THE WAY FOR A COUNTER-COUP AND THE RETURN OF DONALD TRUMP (PART ONE) It is important to note that no military counter coup will take place in America until the people support it. There are coups of opportunity and there are coups of of planning. It is important to understand the difference in order to understand what is happening in America. We have to start with what happened with Benghazi to understand the difference between the different kinds of coup activities.
Conservative commentator and “Daily Wire” host Ben Shapiro condemns Reps. Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and other progressives in Congress for “supporting an honest-to-God terrorist group” Hamas in Gaza.
Mass vaccination was supposed to reduce the threat of Covid but– in the short-term– it appears to make it much worse. Why? And why is Covid now “surging in 4 of 5 the most vaccinated countries”? According to Forbes magazine:
“Countries with the world’s highest vaccination rates—including four of the top five most vaccinated—are fighting to contain coronavirus outbreaks that are, on a per-capita basis, higher than the surge devastating India, a trend that has experts questioning the efficacy of some vaccines … and the wisdom of easing restrictions even with most of the population vaccinated.” (Covid Surges…Here’s why the US should Worry”, Forbes)
Worse than India? How can that be? And why have 8 “fully vaccinated” members of the New York Yankees tested positive for Covid? Here’s the story from the Associated Press:
“New York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres tested positive for Covid-19 despite being fully vaccinated and having previously contracted the coronavirus during the offseason. Torres is among eight so-called breakthrough positives among the Yankees — people who tested positive despite being fully vaccinated.” (NBC News)
And if that’s not confusing enough, check out what’s going on in Cambodia. Cambodia began its vaccination campaign in early February after having compiled zero fatalities. That’s right, the country had no Covid deaths until March, a few weeks after it started its vaccination program. And that’s when the deaths started piling up as you can see in the eye-popping chart below.
So, let’s see if we can figure this out. There were zero fatalities before the launching of the vaccination campaign, but soon after the injections began, the fatalities started to mount. Do you think there might be a connection here? Do you think that, perhaps, the deaths are linked to the vaccines?
Of course, they are. And, that’s why the media is trying to sweep this story under the rug. It doesn’t fit with the “official narrative” about the vaccines, so they’ve decided to “vanish” the story altogether. “Poof” and it’s gone! And, actually, it’s worse than a cover-up because– shortly after Biden took office– the CDC changed its testing methodology making it harder to test positive. In other words, they rigged the system so it would look like fewer “fully vaccinated” people had contracted Covid after inoculation. Dr. Joseph Mercola explains what’s going on behind the scenes:
“Now, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has lowered the CT even further, in what appears to be a clear effort to hide COVID-19 breakthrough cases, meaning cases in which fully vaccinated individuals are being diagnosed with COVID-19.” (“CDC embarks on a new Covid Coverup”, Mercola. com)
It’s all a big shell game. They’re gaming the system to make it look like the vaccines are stopping infection when the evidence proves the opposite. And notice the deliberately-misleading moniker the media invented for the people who get Covid after being vaccinated. They call them “Breakthrough cases”.
If cases surge in nearly every country that launches a mass vaccination campaign, then there’s nothing “breakthrough” about it. It’s the predictable result of a failed experiment. Here’s more from an article titled: “Covid rates post-vaccination around the world:
“… the government assumed that if ‘you vaccinate lots of people and the problem goes away’, but the questioners among us did not assume that. Especially having read the FDA Briefing Document for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine for example, many of us had questions after reading it; on Page 42, it states:
“Suspected COVID-19 cases that occurred within 7 days after any vaccination were 409 in the vaccination group vs 287 in the placebo group. It is possible that the imbalance in suspected COVID-19 cases occurring in the 7 days post-vaccination represents vaccine reactogenicity with symptoms that overlap with those of COVID-19. Overall though, these data do not raise a concern that protocol-specified reporting of suspected, but unconfirmed COVID-19 cases could have masked clinically significant adverse events that would not have otherwise been detected.” (“Covid rates post-vaccination around the world”, Inform Scotland)
So, the FDA KNEW that vaccinated people were more likely to contract Covid than those in the placebo group, but they approved the vaccines anyway?!? Is that criminal negligence or just plain old stupidity?
Please. read the above paragraph again and decide whether you would have given these sketchy injections the “green light” or not? Here’s more from the same article:
“The following show data from around the world from some selected locations. It is, of course, vital to stress that correlation is not causation. And that there are countries where vaccine rollout does not precede or coincide with increased infections. However, I have been unable to find any nation where covid rates have begun to drop after vaccination started, or where a drop coincided with vaccination starting. In Indonesia, for example, the covid rate was falling when vaccination started and seems to have been unaffected in its trajectory by the vaccine being rolled out. The reader can look up these charts for him/herself on the website. Have a look at these and see what you make of them.” (“Covid rates post-vaccination around the world”, Inform Scotland)
Okay, so the author is trying to put the most charitable spin on vaccine performance as possible. He says, “correlation is not causation”, which means, ‘Don’t trust your eyes when you look at the charts’ because– if you do– you’ll draw the obvious conclusion that the vaccines greatly increase your chances of getting Covid in the few weeks afterwards.’ The charts will also convince you that Fauci, Biden and the media have been lying through their teeth about the effectiveness of the vaccines. (Please, check out the charts in the article and judge for yourself.) Here’s more:
“What is very clear looking at data worldwide, is that vaccinations are certainly not associated with a reliable fall in covid cases in any predictable timeframe. This, alongside the observations in the trial, surely must be addressed. What is happening here? Is it just that vaccinations are coincidentally being rolled out at the same time as outbreaks are due? In very many places? Or is the vaccine not working immediately? If not, why not? … Or is the vaccine making people more susceptible to infection? If this is the case … is this a temporary effect? What causes it? … How long does it take for any increased susceptibility to diminish?”…We are told that everyone must be vaccinated (but) How can free informed consent be given under these conditions?” (“Covid-rates Post Vaccination around the World”, Inform Scotland)
These are all good questions, unfortunately, Dr. Fauci and Co. don’t plan to answer any of them. Instead, their allies in the media are doing everything they can to disappear the story and deflect attention to the elusive ‘variants’, which is the diversion du jour. Am I being too harsh?
Maybe, but maybe not harsh enough. Take a look at this clip from a piece at Conservative Woman titled “Every reason to doubt the vaccine makers’ reassurances”:
“I have reported previously on an astonishing spike in deaths that occurred alongside an intensive vaccination campaign in Gibraltar, where the small community consequently developed the highest Covid death rate in the world. We also know that thousands of deaths have been seen in the US, EU and UK in the wake of Covid vaccinations, often immediately after the jab has been administered.
The manufacturers, leading medical journals and most governments insist these deaths are unrelated to the vaccine. In many instances, the deaths and serious illness have been attributed to coincidental infection with the virus. But evidence is mounting that for some, especially the weak and elderly, the vaccine itself is creating or worsening the very illness against which it is supposed to be protective….
“…a worrying phenomenon which appears consistently in Covid vaccine studies is a spike in purported ‘infections’ which occurs precisely during that three-week period, and usually immediately following the jab...The researchers raise the possibility that the jab may trigger ‘symptoms likened to Covid-19 symptoms including fever’ in those recently exposed to the virus... He suggests the mechanism may be a depression in immunity caused by a loss of white blood cells post-jab, observed in both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca trials, making the vaccinees more vulnerable to the virus in the short term.” (“Every reason to doubt the vaccine makers’ reassurances“, Conservative Woman)
Okay, so the author arrives at the same conclusion as the previous author; maybe the vaccine makes people more susceptible to the virus by lowering their defenses and, thus, inviting infection. That’s certainly one possibility, but there are other possibilities that could be infinitely more serious. Take a look:
“It has not been generally acknowledged that the jab is designed to protect us by provoking our cells into producing the very toxin that makes the virus more dangerous than its predecessors in the coronavirus family. This toxin, known as the spike protein, can damage not just the lungs but may also affect organs such the brain, heart and kidneys.
The reasoning behind administering the jab is that temporary exposure to the toxin may provide long-term protection against becoming ill from the virus. Early indications are that this strategy is working, although it is not at all certain yet to what extent the fall-off in infection rates seen in intensely vaccinated populations is seasonal and related to the waves of infection, or if it is a lasting benefit.
But there is also a very real possibility, supported by animal experiments as well as by the studies cited above, that the vaccine itself may produce symptoms in vulnerable people which are then attributed to Covid-19. The damage to health may be especially severe in an individual who has been recently or is concurrently infected with the actual virus.
There is therefore every reason to doubt the manufacturers’ assurances that the deaths and injuries seen to be accompanying vaccination, and that in some instances look like and are being attributed to Covid-19, are unrelated to the jabs. The situation is serious enough for some doctors and scientists to be calling for a moratorium on further Covid vaccinations until it has been properly investigated.” (“Every reason to doubt the vaccine makers’ reassurances“, Conservative Woman)
So, it could be, that something in the vaccine itself is killing people. That is one distinct possibility. Sure, the drug companies and public health officials dismiss the idea with a wave of the hand, but medical professionals and scientists think the danger is significant enough to demand that the mass-vaccination program be temporarily terminated.
Some readers will recall that the Salk Institute recently released a study which showed that SARS-CoV-2’s “distinctive ‘spike’ protein”.. “damages cells, confirming COVID-19 as a primarily vascular disease.” Here’s an excerpt from the article dated April 30, 2021:
“In the new study, the researchers created a “pseudovirus” that was surrounded by SARS-CoV-2 classic crown of spike proteins, but did not contain any actual virus. Exposure to this pseudovirus resulted in damage to the lungs and arteries of an animal model—proving that the spike protein alone was enough to cause disease. Tissue samples showed inflammation in endothelial cells lining the pulmonary artery walls. (Note– “Vascular endothelial cells line the entire circulatory system, from the heart to the smallest capillaries.”)
The team then replicated this process in the lab, exposing healthy endothelial cells (which line arteries) to the spike protein. They showed that the spike protein damaged the cells by binding ACE2. This binding disrupted ACE2’s molecular signaling to mitochondria (organelles that generate energy for cells), causing the mitochondria to become damaged and fragmented.
The significance of this report cannot be overstated. The Salk researchers are confirming that the main damage from Covid is caused by the spike protein not the virus. And, if that’s the case, then why are we injecting people with vaccines that teach their cells to make spike proteins?
It makes no sense at all.
And how does this effect our understanding of the phenomenon that we’ve seen in countries around the world, that is, the sharp rise in cases following mass vaccination?
Allow me to offer a plausible, but as-yet unproven explanation:
The sharp rise in cases and deaths following mass vaccination is NOT related to Covid “the respiratory illness”, but Covid “the vascular disease”. The vascular component is mainly the result of spike proteins produced by cells in the lining of the blood vessels (Endothilium) that are activating platelets that cause blood clots and bleeding. The other main factor is autoimmune reaction in which the killer lymphocytes attack one’s own body triggering widespread inflammation (and potential organ failure.). In short, the post-injection fatalities are caused by the spike proteins produced by the vaccines and not by Covid. Once again, look at the chart of Cambodia. There were no deaths prior to vaccination. All the deaths came afterwards. That suggests that the fatalities are attributable to the vaccines.
One final thought: 118 million Americans have now been injected with a clot-generating spike protein. At present, no one seems to know of how long these potentially-lethal proteins remain trapped in the lining of the blood vessels or what damage they might eventually do. Keeping that in mind, wouldn’t this be a good time to exercise a bit of caution? Now that cases have dropped sharply across the country, why not ease up on the vaccinations until we have a better grasp of the long-term risks? That would be the sensible approach, right? Just postpone further injections until product safety can be assured.
If there was ever a time for caution, this is it.

A short time ago, climate activists were claiming that the world had just a year left to exist if climate change was not properly addressed. As those dire predictions fall by the wayside, some eco-warriors are hopping on a new bandwagon.
According to The Guardian, a new report from Nature Climate Change suggests that the world would need the equivalent of a COVID-19 lockdown every two years to meet the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.
“Lockdowns around the world led to an unprecedented fall in emissions of about 7% in 2020, or about 2.6bn tonnes of CO2, but reductions of between 1bn and 2bn tonnes are needed every year of the next decade to have a good chance of holding temperature rises to within 1.5C or 2C of pre-industrial levels, as required by the Paris agreement,” The Guardian reported.
They added that many countries were already starting to cut emissions before the pandemic, but that was not enough to please the woke mob.
“Since lockdowns were eased in many countries last year, there have been strong signs that emissions will rise again to above 2019 levels, severely damaging the prospects of fulfilling the Paris goals,” they reported.
There seems to be a pretty strong implication in that sentence that if the world effectively stayed locked down, that would cause carbon emissions to be cut on a scale that would please these activists.
Of course, Corinne Le Quéré, the lead author of the study, is smart enough to know that the prospect of locking the world down every two years is not likely to gain much support. That’s why she says that an equivalent drop in emissions needs to be reached “by completely different methods.”
Could it be that the stated goals of the Paris Climate Agreement involve cuts in carbon emissions that are much too drastic? Neither Le Quéré nor The Guardian felt the need to address that possibility.
Even if Le Quéré is not actively arguing for lockdowns, it seems odd that she would author a study suggesting that the equivalent of a worldwide lockdown is needed every two years. At the very least, she is indirectly painting the lockdowns in a positive light.
Eco Watch went even further in their article about the study. They basically suggested that the lockdowns were a win-win for slowing the virus spread and cutting emissions.
“Lockdown measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic had the added benefit of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by around seven percent, or 2.6 billion metric tons, in 2020,” it reported.
The phrase “added benefit” implies that the lockdowns had multiple positive benefits. In the United States, states that locked down did not see significantly lower death rates than those that remained open. This suggests that lockdowns may not have done much to “stop the spread.”
No matter how the establishment media attempts to spin it, headlines such as Forbes’ declaring “World Needs Equivalent Of Pandemic Lockdown Every Two Years To Meet Paris Carbon Emission Goals” are inherently pro-lockdown.
That same article from Forbes later admits that “researchers wrote the lockdowns will not yield lasting improvement because the measures had little effect on the larger fossil fuel-based infrastructure that sustains the global economy.”
If that is the case, why are they out there writing headlines that subtly suggest the lockdowns were necessary to slow climate change? It is misleading at best, and outright lying at worst.
In an interview with The Guardian, Le Quéré inadvertently admitted the real motive of these climate activists.
“We have failed to understand in the past that we can’t have tackling climate change as a side issue. It can’t be about one law or policy, it has to be put at the heart of all policy,” she said.
“Every strategy and every plan from every government must be consistent with tackling climate change.”
That is truly an outrageous statement, and The Guardian publishes it without batting an eye. Le Quéré is saying that every decision that any government makes must be consistent with her own views in order to supposedly save the world from its own destruction.
This is the real reason that eco-warriors attempt to dishonestly paint climate change as an existential crisis. If Americans believe that climate change is a life-or-death situation, they are much more likely to support radical policies that promise to address it.
The left wants to push their radical ideas on climate in any way possible. This could include spending billions of dollars on a “Civilian Climate Corps” or subtly advocating for worldwide lockdowns. No matter the economic or psychological cost, they believe that their views always take precedence.
(WorldNetDaily) – A group of 18 prominent scientists have published a paper in the journal Science calling for an investigation into the origins of the novel coronavirus pandemic, insisting an accidental leak from a lab cannot be ruled out….
Ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee Rep. Devin Nunes told Maria Bartiromo on FOX News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures” that continuing to ask questions about the origin of COVID-19 is important because “this is about biowarfare.” “Why is this important? This is about bioweapons. This is about biowarfare.” “And the Biden administration needs to get to the bottom of it. I think they’re sitting on and suppressing a lot of intelligence that we, the American people, should see in order to know how to move ahead over the coming next few years, as China continues to gain control of the life science arena and the life science global economy,” he said. “They’re trying to move all this technology back to China, while, at the same time, not answering basic questions about the origin of this virus.”
REP. DEVIN NUNES: Well, look, you played that comment of Senator Cotton from a year ago. And here we are, and we still don’t have these basic answers. But if you begin to look at the circumstantial evidence, I think it’s pretty clear that there wasn’t some guy in a wet market in China that ate a bat. It likely didn’t come from there. There’s zero evidence of that. But there’s building circumstantial evidence that, indeed, this did come from the lab and, indeed, likely, there was money that flowed from the U.S. government through nonprofits that was actually supporting this type of research that was going on in China. And, look, why is this important? This is about bioweapons. This is about biowarfare. This is — this is very concerning. And I think what Senator Rand Paul was getting to, is this really something the U.S. wants to be involved in? And moving forward from here, we have to know the answers to this sooner, rather than later. And the Biden administration needs to get to the bottom of it. I think they’re sitting on and suppressing a lot of intelligence that we, the American people, should see in order to know how to move ahead over the coming next few years, as China continues to gain control of the life science arena and the life science global economy. They’re trying to move all this technology back to China, while, at the same time, not answering basic questions about the origin of this virus.
