“He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
Whether Christ returns or calls us home through death, the end of all things is at hand. Death is the great clarifier. When we have a brush with our final enemy, death, it is incredible how many things in our lives become insignificant. The petty concerns seem to melt away. Trivial distractions are exposed as unimportant. Even most entertainment loses its ability to entertain. This is the kind of clarity Peter calls us to when he says, the end of all things is at hand (1 Pet. 4:7).
When the Holy Spirit uses the prospect of the end to purify our perception, one thing will not diminish as unimportant; instead, it will increase in its significance, and that is our need for each other. Above all, we see how much we need to love each other earnestly (1 Pet. 4:8).
Here are some of the themes we considered as we meditated on the word:
The importance of knowing the brevity of our days
The biggest killer of Christian community
How love covers a multitude of sins
People do not get anything out of church
The difference between spiritual love and natural love.
This passage in First Peter is challenging, and when we spend time with it, we should not walk away unaffected. Below you will find the video version of the sermon, and it is also available in audio format on Spotify.
Are we settling for a watered-down faith? There’s a huge difference between telling someone what they want to hear and sharing what they need to hear. That’s why Paul refused to compromise the Gospel message. Hear more on Truth For Life with Alistair Begg.
Holiness Is to the Soul What Health Is to the Heart Leviticus 19:2; Matthew 5:48; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15–16

“I Think, Therefore I Am” Colossians 2:8–9; 2 Timothy 2:19
As I observed that this truth, I think, therefore I am, was so certain and of such evidence, that no ground of doubt, however extravagant, could be alleged by the Skeptics capable of shaking it, I concluded that I might, without scruple, accept it as the first principle of the philosophy of which I was in search.

God’s mission was clear when He called Paul to preach the Gospel. But how would Paul present God’s Word to an unbelieving culture? Find out why he opted for an unconventional approach. That’s our focus on Truth For Life with Alistair Begg.
One of the foundational convictions of the Reformers was, of course, this doctrine we call Sola Scriptura (Scripture alone). Simply put, this is the belief that the Scriptures are the highest and most ultimate authority in the life of the Christian.
Contrary to popular misunderstandings, it is not the belief that the Scriptures are the only authority. Christians have other legitimate authorities in their life (their elders, classical creeds, etc.), but only Scripture is an infallible authority. For more on this point, see here.
At the heart of Sola Scriptura, is the recognition that fallen humans are always looking to replace God’s authority with some other human/creaturely authority. After all, that was the essence of the very first sin in the garden. The rebellion of Adam and Eve was fundamentally a rejection of God’s word that if they ate of the fruit they would surely die.
Ever since, humans have been remarkably inventive in the variety of authorities they erect in place of God. Sola Scriptura is designed simply to prevent these other authorities from ruling the Christian and to keep God’s Word rightly as our ultimate guide. Here are three examples of such authorities:
Traditionalism: “Church tradition is our guide”
Not surprisingly, the number one motivation for Sola Scriptura was that the Roman Catholic church had erected human tradition–whether from the pope or church councils–as equally authoritative as Scripture. Luther rejected this on the grounds that these other sources of authority are not infallible whereas the Scriptures are.
Of course, one does not have to be Roman Catholic to struggle with traditionalism. Protestants need to be ever mindful of allowing other authorities to rule over the Bible. As important as confessions are, for example, we must be careful they don’t subtly migrate into the position only reserved for Scripture.
And there is more at stake here than we think. To allow human tradition to rule the church is to rob people of their Christian liberty. Only God, through his Word, can bind the conscience of the believer. To do otherwise does not bring freedom but tyranny. Humans make lousy gods. Only in regard to divine law can it be said, “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matt 11:30).
Individualism: “My Own Private Bible Interpretation is My Guide”
It is often forgotten that Sola Scriptura was designed to battle more than Rome. For Luther, he was equally concerned about the opposite problem. Many in the so-called “radical” Reformation had taken a posture of individualism, disregarding the history of the church, the classical creeds, and the church fathers.
We might think here of Menno Simons (1496-1561) who refused to consider the Council of Nicea or consult the church fathers.
But, such a posture of individualism is not at all what the Reformers had in mind. They were continually quoting the church fathers and appealing to the history of doctrine, laboring to show that they were not coming up with something new, but rather that the Roman church had departed from the original apostolic path.
Put simply, the Reformers were not innovators but excavators. Like archaeologists, they viewed themselves as merely uncovering what had been lost in the sands of time.
One might argue, therefore, that Sola Scriptura has much to say to the modern evangelical church which struggles profoundly with this individualistic tendency.
Existentialism: “Who Needs the Bible? Religious Experience is My Guide”
For Luther, it was not just Catholicism and Individualism that presented challenges. It was also the “enthusiasts” who had effectively kicked the Bible to the curb. Sure, they would affirm the inspiration of the Bible on paper, but functionally it did not play a meaningful role.
Instead, religious experience was the new guide for the church. Divine encounters and direct spiritual connections to Jesus were the focus of the enthusiasts.
Luther recognized the validity of religious experience, but argued that such experience should never be disconnected from the Word. And when that critical cord is cut, then the church is adrift on a sea of existentialism.
This is a very real problem for evangelicalism today. For many believers, the Scriptures play no meaningful role in determining correct doctrine or proper behavior. One might even argue that the confusion over sexual ethics in the modern church is due to precisely this issue. People are relying on what they “feel” must be right rather than what the Word clearly states.
In the end, these three movements–traditionalism, individualism, existentialism–capture what Sola Scriptura was designed to prevent. And thus we see something that is perhaps surprising on this Reformation anniversary: one need not be Catholic to reject Sola Scriptura.
Indeed, it seems that it is Protestants who needs this doctrine now more than ever.
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10:28)
We believe in the eternal security of the saints. First, because they are Christ’s, and He will never lose the sheep which He has bought with His blood and received of His Father.
Next, because He gives them eternal life, and if it be eternal, well then, it is eternal, and there can be no end to hell, and heaven, and God. If spiritual life can die out, it is manifestly not eternal life, and that effectually shuts out the possibility of an end.
Observe, further, that the Lord expressly says, “They shall never perish.” As long as words have a meaning, this secures believers from perishing. The most obstinate unbelief cannot force this meaning out of this sentence.
Then, to make the matter complete, He declares that His people are in His hand, and He defies all their enemies to pluck them out of it. Surely it is a thing impossible even for the fiend of hell. We must be safe in the grasp of an almighty Savior. Be it ours to dismiss carnal fear as well as carnal confidence and rest peacefully in the hollow of the Redeemer’s hand.
Human beings need to be alone with God. Our fall consisted in our being brought, through the lust of the flesh and the world, under the power of things visible and temporal. Our restoration through salvation is meant to bring us back to the Father’s love and fellowship.
We need to be alone with God, to yield ourselves to the presence and the power of His Holiness. Christ on earth needed it. He could not live the life of a Son here in the flesh without at times separating Himself entirely from His surroundings and being alone with God. How much more must this be indispensable to us!
Alone with God — that is the secret of true power in prayer. There is no true holiness, no clothing with the Holy Spirit and with power, without being alone daily with God.
When our Lord Jesus gave us the command to pray to our Father in secret, He gave us the promise that the Father would hear such prayers and mightily answer them in our life before others. What a privilege it is to begin every morning with intimate prayer. Let it be the one thing our hearts are set on — seeing, finding, and meeting God alone. The time will come when you will be amazed at the thought that one could suggest five minutes were enough.

“A false witness will perish, but a careful listener will testify successfully.” Proverbs 21:28
Does it seem like people today are picking Bible verses like apples off a tree to prove their point of view?
Many are quoted out of context or misquoted all together.
Of course, using the Bible to justify opinions has long been a temptation. Ever read sermons from the South and the North during the American Civil War? Scribes in the Middle Ages were known to occasionally add verses or amend them. The early church elders argued for decades over which biblical interpretations were heretical and which were Spirit-breathed truth.
However, in spite of our humanness, the Word has remained the measure for our thoughts, actions, and beliefs as followers of Jesus. As a construction worker drops a plumb line down a wall to see if it is straight, a believer can use the Word of God to make sure she is still following the straight and narrow way.
So read the Word of God daily. Let Scripture be your guide for your thoughts, your mold for your beliefs, and the boundary for your behavior. Store Bible passages in your memory. Then, when you hear someone say something that seems a bit off kilter, you can compare their words with the verses you have learned and ingested.
Furthermore, The Holy Spirit is always there to give you the gift of discernment. Just as Paul and Silas knew to silence the soothsaying girl in Philippi (Acts 16), the Holy Spirit can steer you to measure what you hear and think against Scripture, not vice versa. Call upon Him before you speak. Then you can be assured that your witness is true and you will testify successfully.
Dearest Father God, lead us away from the temptation of trying to justify our actions with Scripture verses taken out of context. Let us instead be careful witnesses who lead others to Your Truth, through the guidance of Your Spirit and the examples of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Christ Is Praying for Me Isaiah 53:12; Luke 22:32; Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25
If I could hear Christ praying for me in the next room, I would not fear a million enemies. Yet the distance makes no difference; He is praying for me.

The Devil Fears Unity in Charity Psalm 133; Romans 12:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:9; Hebrews 13:1
At the time of our change of life we declare perpetual warfare against the devil. Now there is nothing he fears so much as the unity of charity. For if we give away all we possess for God’s sake—this the devil does not fear, because he himself possesses nothing. If we fast, he has no fear of our action because he does not use food himself. If we make long watchings, again he is not alarmed, for he himself never slumbers. But when we are united in brotherly love, then he is intensely affrighted—because we hold firmly here upon earth the treasure that he thought light of keeping in heaven.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN—As news organizations descended on Minneapolis on the anniversary of George Floyd’s death, anchors and reporters solemnly reminded the country that racial division will likely always be an integral part of American society.
“The racial division that has plagued our country for so long, and that has led to hours of sensational news stories and high ratings for our network, will likely be around to stay,” said CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer. “This is very sad, but we can promise you that CNN will be there to cover it and drive you mad with anxiety and despair every time it rears its ugly head.”
Journalists from other networks all made similar statements, reminding everyone that America is a horribly racist country and will likely be that way forever.
“Really sad,” said CBS News Anchor Scott Pelley. “Let us take a moment today to remember what George Floyd did for the cause of justice, as well as our ratings.”

Men like Nebuchadnezzar take a long time to learn. In the first chapter, the king has the opportunity to see firsthand what the fear of God looks like, in the lives of the four men of Judah. In the second chapter, the king receives his vision and he is again reminded that it is the Lord of Israel who ministers truth to His people. In the third chapter, the king responds by building a big statue to ‘correct’ what the Lord had said about him and his dynasty, but the Lord reveals His power to Nebuchadnezzar.
The fourth chapter shows that he continues to resist the will of God by resorting to his old ways. In Daniel 4:7, the king calls on the old fools who were previously revealed to be impotent liars and cheats. Finally, the king is brought low by God and turned into a beast. At last, after all this, Nebuchadnezzar is willing to have Daniel prepare an edict to go out to the peoples, nations and languages concerning the true God. Yet it might be best to title this letter in chapter four, “Nebuchadnezzar’s Momentary Perception of the True God.” The text of the fourth chapter of Daniel was probably composed by Daniel as a letter to be sent out under the king’s signature to the ends of his kingdom.
Are you more eager than the king of Babylon to declare the signs and wonders the Most High God has made known to you?
Suggestions for prayer
Rejoice in the saving power of the LORD God! Pray for greater faith to be confident in the face of discouragement and doubts. Ask the LORD to give us joy because Christ has overcome the powers of sin, death, and the evil one.

“A good moral character is the first essential in a man, and that the habits contracted at your age are generally indelible, and your conduct here may stamp your character through life. It is therefore highly important that you should endeavor not only to be learned but virtuous.” —George Washington (1790)
On the anniversary of his death, we’re hard-pressed to find a single good thing that’s come out of it.
A year ago, all Americans were transfixed by the video footage of the white cop with his knee on the black guy’s neck for that interminable length of time. And we waited for the riots.
They came, and they spread across the country, and they re-erupted with every perceived police transgression in every urban area. The agenda-driven media told us they were “mostly peaceful protests,” which, of course, was a demonstrable and despicable lie.
But a year later, after an orgy of burning and looting and wanton destruction; with race relations having been hijacked and run off the rails by a small band of money-grubbing Marxists; with violent crime and murder having skyrocketed across our nation’s urban centers due to the Left’s war on cops; and with federal police reform legislation still seemingly stuck in the congressional mud, we have to ask: Was it worth it?
It sure seems not.
It certainly wasn’t worth it at ground zero, least of all for the aggrieved, who now live in a city that has defunded its police — or “reimagined” them, as the Left now prefers to put it. There, as Minnesota’s own John Hinderaker observes at Power Line, “The vast majority of Minneapolis’s murders are of blacks, by blacks, and many are gang-related. Yet the City Council natters on about ‘police violence.’”
In yesterday’s Wall Street Journal, crime researcher Heather Mac Donald noted that it’s now open season in Minneapolis, and she added some grim statistics to Hinderaker’s observation:
Nineteen children in Minneapolis have been shot this year, an increase of 171% over the same period in 2020. Their relatives wonder where the protesters are. … Minneapolis homicides between Jan. 1 and last week were up 108% compared with the same period in 2020; shootings were up 153%, and carjackings 222%. The crime increase began after Floyd’s death and has never let up. Nor has the assault on law enforcement that began with the arson destruction of the Third Precinct building on May 28, 2020. Officers are routinely punched, kicked, and hit with projectiles.
We’re guessing this carnage won’t come up when George Floyd’s family meets with leading Democrats today. As NBC News reports, “The family will meet with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Tuesday morning in Washington before their scheduled White House meeting with Biden. Then the family will meet with several senators from both parties, but Crump declined to identify the lawmakers.”
It’s interesting that the family would agree to meet the 81-year-old Pelosi, who couldn’t even remember their son’s name when she discussed House legislation that would be named in his honor; who wore the garb of slave traders while kneeling to show “solidarity” with Floyd; and who, in the wake of the murder conviction of Officer Derek Chauvin, couldn’t keep from bizarrely thanking Floyd for having died. In any case, it’ll be interesting to see whether the topics of escalating violence and black-on-black crime come up during today’s opportunistic events. We’d guess not. After all, none of them said a damned thing about last summer’s Black Lives Matter mayhem until their pollsters told them they had to.
George Floyd, it should be noted, was an unlikely martyr and an unlikely subject of massive murals and nationwide remembrances. He was a career criminal, after all, who once held a gun to a pregnant woman’s belly while his fellow thugs ransacked her house. And on the day of his death, he’d passed a counterfeit bill to a local vendor, he’d put enough fentanyl into his system to kill a man, and he’d repeatedly resisted arrest.
And yet, what good purpose did his martyrdom serve?
A year later, as Hinderaker concludes, our nation’s institutions “are all aligned behind an agenda that is deeply divisive. Not only divisive, but essentially anti-American. Has any country ever survived, let alone prospered, when led by elites that hate their own country? I doubt it. The City of Minneapolis is a pretty good guide to where the Left’s anti-American, anti-civilization policies are taking us.”
State employees are encouraged to fly BLM flags and further the narrative.
On the one-year anniversary of George Floyd’s death, Joe Biden’s State Department is encouraging employees to promote the Marxist Black Lives Matter organization via flying “the Black Lives Matter flag.” According to an anonymous source within the State Department, a memo was circulated on Saturday that reads in part, “The Department supports the use of the term ‘Black Lives Matter’ in messaging content, speeches, and other diplomatic engagements with foreign audiences to advance racial equity and access to justice on May 25 and beyond. We encourage posts to focus on the need to eliminate systemic racism and its continued impact.”
It’s been clear from day one that the Biden administration embraces the divisive and Marxist doctrine known as Critical Race Theory, as well as the BLM “systemic racism” narrative. “Last year, the horrific video of Mr. Floyd’s final 9 minutes and 29 seconds went viral and spurred Black Lives Matter protests worldwide, in response to his senseless killing and to demand an end to systemic racism and police brutality,” the State memo reads. “One year later, many in the international community will honor Mr. Floyd and acknowledge the long journey nations face to advance racial justice.”
And here we were led to believe racial injustice was a uniquely American problem.
Was it not Biden’s anti-American UN ambassador whose throwing our nation under the bus over the dubious charge of “systemic racism” opened the door for China to effectively dismiss any criticism of its own current human rights abuses? At a diplomatic meeting in Anchorage, China’s director of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, Yang Jiechi, used BLM’s narrative as a cudgel against the U.S.: “We believe that it is important for the United States to change its own image and to stop advancing its own democracy in the rest of the world. Many people within the United States actually have little confidence in the democracy of the United States.”
Where did this idea come from? Joe Biden’s own incessant “America Worst” pronouncements.
One might conclude that Team Biden has failed to learn its lesson, since its players continue to promote and promulgate a false narrative that is becoming increasingly unpopular. In truth, however, the Biden administration’s actions are a deliberate attempt to prop up a false narrative for political reasons.
Even so, recent polling shows that Americans’ support for BLM has dropped back down to the level it was in the year prior to Floyd’s death. After a summer of peaceful violent protests and riots coupled with a narrative that failed to accurately present the facts — namely that the number one threat to black lives is not the police but other blacks — Americans have grown tired of the movement. The “anti-racism” demands of the CRT advocates behind BLM activism are being exposed for their promotion of a legitimately racist and anti-American ideology.
Floyd’s death was not the racial reckoning the Left demanded. Rather it was an event exploited by extremists in their efforts to attack the very fabric of American society writ large. The Biden administration is more than happy to continue the effort in an official capacity. And if doing so damages America’s standing and work in the world? Well, then we deserved to be knocked down a few pegs.
Is hatred for Israel and the Jews among prominent Democrats to blame?
For the last year, Democrats have used the death of George Floyd at the knee of Derek Chauvin to accuse the rest of the nation of “systemic racism.” For the last year-plus, Democrats have used the coronavirus pandemic as an excuse to accuse Republicans of racism against Asians because Donald Trump had the nerve to call it the “China Virus.”
So, judging them by their own standards, the Democrats’ rank anti-Semitism and anti-Israel hysteria in the midst of Palestinian attacks is clearly to blame for the stunning rise in attacks against American Jews, right?
In at least one sense, yes. A disproportionate number of the anti-Asian “hate crimes” around the nation have been committed by blacks, and we’re gonna go out on a limb and say it’s not the <10% of blacks who vote Republican. Who, then, are the anti-Semites perpetrating attacks on Jews?
“From coast to coast, synagogues have been vandalized. American Jews have been chased down by cars, attacked by mobs and verbally harassed in the worst outbreak of anti-Semitism this country has seen in decades,” writes Gary Bauer. “In virtually every case, the attacks took place in large cities. They were committed by Middle Eastern men waving Palestinian flags. Left-wing extremists frequently joined in the attacks.”
The Hill reports, “Those incidents are being compounded by an uptick of antisemitic speech online, with the [Anti-Defamation League] finding 17,000 tweets between May 7 and 14 with some variation of the phrase ‘Hitler was right.’”
Does that mean Palestinian Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib’s anti-Israel venom motivated the attackers? Does it mean Somalian Representative Ilhan Omar’s hatred of the “apartheid” and “terrorist” state of Israel inspired the assaults? They and other progressives explicitly compare American blacks with the Palestinians in their cloaked justifications for violent uprisings. It’s part of their Critical Race Theory worldview that classifies all people as either victims or oppressors, based on class or race.
What role did President Joe Biden play? He offered disgraceful moral equivalence between Israel’s painstakingly careful self-defense and Hamas’s 4,400 indiscriminate rocket attacks, and he arrogantly dismissed his predecessor’s outstanding work to bring peace to the Middle East via the Abraham Accords.
Again, judging Democrats by their own standards, they unequivocally are to blame.
Perhaps Senator Bernie Sanders knows this. After his presidential campaign implied that Israel is an apartheid state and after recently trying to block a U.S. arms sale to Israel, now Sanders says maybe folks should “tone down the rhetoric” a bit.
Likewise, Biden tweeted, “The recent attacks on the Jewish community are despicable, and they must stop. I condemn this hateful behavior at home and abroad — it’s up to all of us to give hate no safe harbor.”
Indeed, aren’t leftists the ones with those virtue-signaling “Hate Has No Home Here” signs in their yards?
To be clear, we’re not saying or even suggesting that any American politician has directly called for attacks against Jews. The unfortunate truth is that anti-Semitism exists on both extreme ends of the political spectrum. We are saying that Democrats have sown seeds of hatred and division for their own political gain, and, whether it’s the rise of anti-Semitism or black-on-Asian or even black-on-black crime, the nation is reaping the ugly harvest.
The Left’s “defund police” and BLM empowerment fuels murder and mayhem.
In a scripted layup question for Joe Biden’s press secretary, ABC News reporter Cecilia Vega asked Jen “Circle Back” Psaki about the surge in violence over the last year: “A look back over the weekend and over the last year. This past weekend, there were more than a dozen mass shooting across this country — 4,000 more people shot and killed by guns in 2020 compared to the year before. Is there a crime problem in this country?”
“Shot and killed by guns,” not the violent offenders using guns and other weapons to kill.
For the record, the FBI, which maintains national homicide and assault data, has no definition for “mass shooting” — and the Left is as loose with those words as it is with “assault weapon.” But there were 12 assaults this past weekend resulting in 11 deaths and 69 injuries — the vast majority of which were gang and drug related. And the unofficial homicide rate for 2020 may have surged 25% over 2019. That surge is being driven by Demo cities like Minneapolis (“Minnopolice”), the epicenter of the “defund police” movement after the death of George Floyd, where homicides are already up this year by 113%.
The abject stupidity of Vega’s question notwithstanding, clearly, she gave Psaki an opportunity to deflect blame for the real cause of the dramatic surge in homicides and assaults in Demo-controlled urban centers — leftists’ deadly “defund the police” advocacy and their empowerment of the violent Marxist so-called “Black Lives Matter” movement. Both of those strategies were designed to foment violence in order to blame Donald Trump ahead of last year’s election.
Psaki responded: “I would say certainly there is a gun problem, and that’s something the president would say, and there are communities where local violence and community violence is an issue, and that’s one of the reasons that we have proposed and now are implementing funding for community violence prevention programs across this country. I will say that we don’t often highlight — and you just gave me the opportunity to — the fact that between mass shootings, mass shootings that get a lot of attention … there are hundreds, thousands of people who lose their lives, and that’s one of the reasons the president will continue to advocate for the Senate passing [gun control measures] but also advocate for actions in states where we have seen the greatest level of activism over the past several years.”
That was a convoluted way of insisting that the grossly disproportionate black-on-black murder and violence is a “gun problem” rather than what it actually is, a cultural problem created primarily by years of misguided leftist social policies.
Despite her disjointed answer, Psaki managed to use Vega’s question as fodder for leftists’ relentless assault on the Second Amendment, which they know is the most formidable barrier to their relentless assault on other civil rights.
Time for Psaki to circle back for a reality check. The Democrat Party is the author of cultural violence in America, and until the party addresses the real problem, the underlying policy issues that have resulted in the cultural devolution of its most loyal constituency, the violence will continue unabated.
Have thoughts on COVID, elections, morality, climate? They better line up with leftist sensibilities.
As conservatives know all too well, social media platforms use censorship to control the content of which they approve or disapprove. The biased writers of these algorithms create their own morality and reality, all while enjoying protections under the U.S. Code that should no longer apply.
If there was a time in recent months you posted on your own personal Facebook page or Instagram an opinion or experience related to COVID, election integrity, a Bible verse, or climate change, then you might either have received warnings from Facebook “fact-checkers” or perhaps merely noticed that the number of likes or views was significantly lower than your typical traffic. While certain content gets marked as untrue or mostly untrue, a great many posts will simply have the “distribution reduced,” according to Facebook’s rather opaque explanation to the public.
Facebook claims the moral high ground of stopping viral misinformation. That sounds virtuous and good, yet Big Tech is really serving as the vocal cords and typing fingers of the political Left. Cyberbots are programmed to search for keywords and embedded links or phrases that for the most part target the Right and have no real regard for truth.
According to an analysis last August by veteran journalist Sharyl Attkisson, the “fact-checker” echo chamber is constructed and filled with the heads of massive corporate giants aligned with the political Left. Attkisson exposed Facebook’s oversight board of 20 members, 18 of which have direct ties to George Soros’s Open Society Foundations, which “have spent billions of dollars on global initiatives aggressively advocating for the progressive side on topics ranging from immigration policy and climate to abortion, gender, and racial policies.” There’s also the fact that Google employees contributed almost $22 million to Democrats in 2020 compared to $1.4 million to Republicans. Twitter employees were even more obvious with 98.99% of political donations going to Democrats. And on it goes.
A recent City Journal article featured Maggie Williams, a high-schooler running the 800-meter race who barely cleared the finish line when she fell face-first. She and her coach blamed the state’s mandate requiring her and her other competitors to wear masks throughout the events, even during active competition. When posted on Facebook, the story was marked “Partly False Information. Checked by independent fact-checkers.” Despite the author’s best efforts, the label still accompanies the post when shared. It’s all based on the assessment from Science Feedback, which has a record of vetoing mostly center-right content related to COVID, Donald Trump, vaccines, and treatments.
Writing for City Journal, John Tierney cited a study appearing in a peer-review medical journal, Monthly Pediatrics, for the risk of oxygen depletion with physical manifestations. Yet the post police asserted the article had “methodological shortcomings” and in October 2020 declared the claim that a COVID vaccine was imminent as “inaccurate.” Yes, your memory is accurate. The first shots were in arms by the first week of December. Just don’t get confused by the facts. These “fact-checkers” continue to hide content about COVID, climate, Judeo-Christian morality, and election integrity, including that of Stanford physician Scott Atlas, MD, who has given both sides of the mask issue only to suffer public shaming.
How does this continue? In U.S. Code Section 230, these social media platforms have legal immunity as providers of a platform, not as editors or publishers of content. But for the last two years at least, Big Tech has exerted overt bias with active censorship and discrimination of free speech. Congress must act to eliminate the protections being abused by these tech giants, all of which make no effort to camouflage their bias and disdain of the Right.
It must also be accepted as reality that the distrust in the media now includes the social media platforms that offer free profiles, posting, and perusing — in exchange for personal data and habits. Trying to control public opinion and censorship expose an authentic danger in America: the erosion and destruction of free speech.
He’s losing trust for flip-flopping and lying. He should have been fired a year ago.
If Dr. Anthony Fauci were a supervillain, his moniker might be Dr. Inconsistent. The Beltway’s highest-paid “follow the science” bureaucrat has done anything but follow the science, instead making a practice of sticking his finger into the political winds in order to gauge the status of the “science.”
Recall that Fauci was opposed to the wearing of masks … before he was for masks. His flip-flop was made all the more nefarious by his explanation that he essentially lied to the American public out of concern for ensuring that limited supplies of personal protective equipment were preserved for healthcare workers.
Fauci then became a mask apologist, adamant about the need to continue wearing masks — even multiple masks, even outdoors, even after vaccination. Then came that illustrative clash with Senator Rand Paul, who accused Fauci of not following the science. Fauci responded, “Well, let me just state for the record that masks are not theater. Masks are protective.” Once again, however, Fauci flip-flopped, admitting days later in an ABC interview: “Before the CDC made the recommendation change [on masks after vaccination], I didn’t want to look like I was giving mixed signals. But being a fully vaccinated person, the chances of my getting infected in an indoor setting is extremely low.”
It’s not only over masking that Fauci has flip-flopped, but over questions surround the possible origin of the coronavirus.
Last May, Fauci literally laughed off a question about the possibility that COVID-19 originated from a Wuhan lab leak rather than from nature. “If you accept the premise, which is very strongly supported by scientific evidence, that it was not deliberately mutated and deliberately changed, and you say, if it was in the wild and evolving, the likelihood it jumped species naturally, someone will say, ‘Well, maybe somebody took it from the wild, put it in the lab, and then it escaped from the lab.’ But that means it was in the wild to begin with!” he expounded. “So that’s why I don’t get what they’re talking about. If it isn’t manipulated in the lab and you’re trying to say it escaped from the lab, then how did it get in the lab? It got in the lab because somebody isolated it from the environment. So that’s why I don’t spend a lot of time going in that circular argument.”
Well, that was last year — you know, after we were on board with Senator Tom Cotton’s assessment about the Wuhan lab in January 2020.
Now, Fauci suddenly finds the lab-leak theory not nearly so ridiculous or laughable: “The people who investigated it say it likely was the emergence from an animal reservoir that then infected individuals, but it could have been something else, and we need to find that out. So, you know, that’s the reason why I said I’m perfectly in favor of any investigation that looks into the origin of the virus.”
Indeed, we just learned this week that three researchers from China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology were hospitalized with a strange illness in November 2019, just before the ChiComs in Beijing say the first man came down with COVID in December of that year. That cover-up is another story, but Fauci has some questions to answer. So do the Chinese — as in, did they release this intentionally?
From the public’s point of view, it appears that Fauci’s flip-flopping is catching up to him. A new poll shows that 42% of Americans say their confidence in him has gone down. As the ChiCom Virus pandemic continues to wain, hopefully the presence of Fauci and his “following the science” decreases with it.
A new book describes the former president as self-centered, foul-mouthed, and full of hatred for Donald Trump.
“That corrupt motherf—er.” That’s what Barack Obama reportedly said when he learned that then-President Donald Trump was communicating privately with Russian President Vladimir Putin during the investigation into potential Russian interference in the 2016 presidential campaign.
It’s rich, isn’t it? Obama, the same guy who oversaw the greatest political corruption scandal in American history — the fake, phony, fraudulent “Russia collusion” hoax that allowed his administration to weaponize the Department of Justice and our nation’s intelligence services to spy on then-candidate Trump and continue to spy on him and his team after they’d taken office — is calling Trump corrupt.
The same guy who sicced the IRS, DOJ, FBI, ATF, and OSHA on private American citizens, trampling on their rights for the sole purpose of intimidating and thereby suppressing his political opposition.
Yep, the same guy who was once caught on a hot mic whispering sweet nothings into then-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev’s ear about how he’d be better able to compromise our national security and betray our NATO allies on missile defense as soon as he got through his 2012 reelection campaign. “This is my last election,” he quietly told Medvedev, stressing the importance of being able to look tough until after the American people had cast their ballots. “After my election, I have more flexibility.”
And this guy has the nerve to call Donald Trump a “corrupt motherf—er.” Way to keep it classy, 44.
Obama also called Trump “a ‘madman, a ‘racist, sexist pig,’ and a ‘f***ing lunatic,’ according to a new book set to release next week by Atlantic reporter Edward-Isaac Dovere,” writes the Washington Examiner’s Michael Lee. “The remarks, reportedly made to donors and political advisers, were a departure from the first three years of Trump’s presidency when Obama rarely spoke out against the man who replaced him.”
Clearly, Obama is consumed with hatred for both the man who succeeded him and for the deplorables who made it happen. We suppose that’s fair enough given that Trump was a clear repudiation of Obama. Yet Obama also seems to have held his own party in contempt throughout his two terms in office — so much so that he never lifted a finger to build it.
As Fox News’s Morgan Phillips reports, “In a chapter entitled ‘Benign Neglect,’ Dovere writes that the section’s namesake is how Obama aides privately described his abandonment of the Democratic Party once in the White House.”
“‘Negligence’ might be more accurate,” writes Dovere, who also observes that Obama carried himself with a “self-assured self-regard.”
“The numbers,” says Dovere, “are hard to ignore: during his eight years in office, Obama oversaw a net loss of 947 state legislative seats, 63 House seats, 11 senators, and 13 governors.”
Essentially, then, Obama was a one-man neutron bomb: He wiped out the party’s human assets while keeping its physical assets intact. His excuse for having used the Democrat Party’s resources whenever it suited him while ignoring the continual need to build the party’s bench? Apparently, he didn’t want to “taint” his presidency by “mucking about in fundraising.”
Concerning Obama’s relationship with the Democrat Party, Dovere described the former president as “a parasite.”
“Parasitical” seems an apt description of the man, though we’d also add “profane” and “petulant.” In any case, Barack Obama continues to polarize the American people, and he continues to remind us why we chose Donald Trump to succeed him.

Insight: “The power to determine the quantity of money… is too important, too pervasive, to be exercised by a few people, however public-spirited, if there is any feasible alternative. There is no need for such arbitrary power… Any system which gives so much power and so much discretion to a few men, [so] that mistakes — excusable or not — can have such far reaching effects, is a bad system. It is a bad system to believers in freedom just because it gives a few men such power without any effective check by the body politic — this is the key political argument against an independent central bank.” —Milton Friedman (1912-2006)
Observations: “The Squad shares an all-encompassing woke mindset that collapses individuals and events into a reductive binary of oppressor and oppressed. Editorial exegesis: “That this particular coronavirus showed up seemingly out of nowhere, perfectly suited to attack humans, would be quite the mystery if it hadn’t first popped up in a city with two virology institutes that were studying bat coronaviruses. … China in general has a history of research leaks resulting in infections, and the State Department issued warnings about these specific experiments and the lack of trained personnel involved as early as 2017. … In short, China has a lot of explaining to do — as does the Fauci-led National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which Newsweek reports put millions into Wuhan coronavirus research.” —New York Post
For the record: “The origin of the virus is just we’ve got these two possible scenarios. But if you look at all the evidence and ask yourself, ‘Well, which scenario explains all these facts better on present evidence?’ it seems, to me at least, that the lab-escape hypothesis explains it a lot better. But it’s a sort of complicated conclusion to arrive at. And I can only assume … that the media was blindsided — they didn’t do the work that was necessary.” —former New York Times science editor Nicholas Wade

TUCKER CARLSON: Actually, it looks like this virus did come from a lab in China. Nearly a year and a half into the pandemic, that’s the new consensus in the American media. Boy, these things change fast. There are holdouts of course. Just today, over at the Washington Post, a China shill called Michael Gerson wrote a hilariously overwrought column entitled:
“The right is dwelling on slanderous myths about the origins of COVID-19.” The radical right! Slanderous myths! Russian QAnon sleeper cells slandering the Chinese government! It’s pretty funny. The good news is, it’s almost over. You’re probably not going to see a lot more columns like that going forward. The nonsense is finally dying down.
At other parts of Michael Gerson’s own newspaper, we’ve learned, they’re working on new stories about how the virus did in fact escape from the lab in Wuhan. So, the debate among serious people over the origins of COVID appears to be pretty much winding up. Pretty much every sane person acknowledges at this point that the government of China likely caused the single worst man-made disaster in human history. As if we need more evidence, over the weekend, the Wall Street Journal reported that the first people infected with COVID-19 were probably researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. In November of 2019, three of them were taken to the hospital with symptoms. The Journal did solid reporting, but it wasn’t entirely new. Back in January of this year, the State Department issued a fact sheet telling the entire country the same thing.
They said the first COVID patients were not hungry patrons of the local wet market, reckless diners who gorged themselves on pangolin and bats. No, they weren’t. The first patients were researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Clearly, they’d been infected at work, while working on the virus. If you were trying to understand where COVID came from, and you should be if you want to prevent future pandemics, that State Department in January told you a lot. Yet it was ignored.
In fact on Monday, Tony Fauci himself — the man in charge of our whole response to COVID-19 — told CBS News that he never even heard about the State Department’s findings on the Wuhan lab. He had no idea.
In other words, Fauci’s own employers, the U.S. government, publicly released compelling evidence that the virus that he has devoted his life to fighting, did not come food, but instead escaped from the very bio lab that Tony Fauci has sent American tax dollars to fund.
Yet somehow Tony Fauci didn’t know this. He didn’t know it till he read this weekend’s Wall Street Journal. It was news to him. Bolt from the sky. Totally new information.
Can we really believe that? No, of course, we can’t. In fact, we have heard that on or about November 19, 2019, right around the time those Chinese researchers became the world’s first COVID patients, the government of Thailand contacted the CDC and Tony Fauci’s office to say its intelligence service had picked up “biological anomalies” around the lab in Wuhan. In other words, there had been a leak.
We can’t confirm this, though we believe it to be true. We do know that several other allied foreign governments, including the governments of France and Australia, have gathered evidence showing the virus escaped from a Chinese lab. Yet Tony Fauci, who runs the whole thing, didn’t know any of this? Come on. Of course he did.
Fauci has known from the beginning the virus may very well have come from that lab. Many people have known that. Fauci just lied about it for more than a year. In May of 2020, in an interview with the willing dupes at National Geographic, he told you that, as one of the world’s most eminent scientists, there’s really no chance COVID-19 was engineered by human hands.
FAUCI: If you look at the evolution of the virus in bats and what exists now, it’s very, very strongly leaning towards that could not have been artificially or deliberately manipulated. The way the mutations have naturally evolved. A number of very qualified evolutionary biologists have said that everything about the stepwise evolution over time strongly indicates that it evolved in the wild, then jumped species.
“A number of very qualified evolutionary biologists.” Really? Where are those scientists today? Is there, for example, a single working virologist on planet earth who’d come on this show right now and dismiss the Wuhan lab leak idea out of hand as ridiculous — or quote “outrageous,” as Francis Collins of the NIH once did?
We doubt there’s a single working virologist who would dare to do that. But not so long ago, the entire scientific and public health establishments did that very thing. So, what’s changed? Not the science. The science remains precisely the same. Only the politics have changed.
And that gets you thinking. Now that we know what we know about the Wuhan lab — and we know that, of course, Fauci has known it too for a very long time, how could he not — it’s pretty remarkable to go back and look at Fauci’s public statements about COVID and the government of China.
Keep in mind, he knew that it was at least possible that this virus came from that Wuhan Lab. Yet he did this interview with our David Asman with Fox Business in January of 2020. Keep in mind that Tony Fauci was perfectly aware that China may have created this virus, and he knew for a fact that the government of China was lying, covering its tracks, and pushing the world health organization to do the same. Imperiling the entire planet as they did that. Tony Fauci did that, yet he said this anyway:
DAVID ASMAN: Dr. Fauci – China has been known to fiddle with their stats before. Do you trust what they are telling us about this illness?
FAUCI: From what I can see they really are being much more transparent.
You read that, you look back over the last year in light of what we now know, and you ask yourself, how does Tony Fauci still have a job? Seriously. What kind of country gives this much power to someone who’s proven himself to be serially dishonest and incompetent? It’s scary we’d allow that. Especially in public health. Meanwhile, and this is the most galling part, those few journalists and scientists who told the truth about what happened in Wuhan were punished for telling the truth. They were attacked by CNN, censored by Facebook, denounced by their colleagues. They were destroyed in some cases. Where’s their apology? Who’s paying into their reparations fund? No one of course.
Here’s someone who deserves to be rehabilitated immediately. His name is Professor Stephen Mosher. He’s an expert on China and a very brave person. You’d need to be to say what he said in February of 2020, back when mass lockdowns seemed like something they only did in China, Mosher came on this show and told the truth:
MOSHER: Well, I think it escaped from the lab because we have the Chinese government basically telling us that it did…Wuhan is the only level four laboratory in all of China. So that’s where you would put a dangerous pathogen, whether you were genetically engineering it to be a weapon or not, that’s where you would be experimenting on it. So it makes sense that the epicenter of the epidemic, that the lab there would be the source of that virus.
So you read that, and you think that guy was on to something. He was smart, he was honest, he connected the dots. For his trouble, for telling the truth, Steven Mosher was immediately denounced as a conspiracy nut. Meanwhile, the liars and China’s shills got richer and more powerful.
The WHO, which followed China’s instructions and told the world that COVID wasn’t really transmissible by air, now has the full support of the Biden administration. In fact, Joe Biden rejoined the WHO, with no conditions. This is despite the fact American intelligence can prove that the WHO lied, and people died as a result of those lies. Even as of now, the U.S. government has not launched any broad and serious investigation into where the coronavirus came from. If you can imagine.
At the same time, they’re telling us we need a 9/11-style commission to understand every facet of the January 6th events at the capitol. But the pandemic that killed three million people and destroyed the west? Which it has. Never mind. We’ll let someone else figure it out.
(Natural News) The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) are using deliberate acts of deception, medical fraud and data manipulation to artificially boost the appearance of “efficacy” for the new mRNA vaccine experiments. The fraud is out in the open as of May 1, 2021 because the CDC made sweeping new policy changes that fraudulently alter the definition of a “covid case” after vaccination.
Overnight, all “asymptomatic” and mild “covid cases” no longer count, as long as the person is fully vaccinated. The CDC is manipulating the data to blame all future “covid cases” on the unvaccinated, to perpetuate a cycle of medical fraud and force vaccines on the population.
The CDC is also manipulating the data to conceal the fact that those who get covid-19 post vaccination are up to ten times more likely to die than those who get covid-19 WITHOUT vaccination. Of the 9,245 reported covid cases post-vaccination, the CDC found that 132 people (1 percent) died.
CDC will no longer report most covid-19 cases after vaccination
According to the new guidelines, the CDC will no longer report most of the “breakthrough cases” of covid-19. A “breakthrough case” is a new medical term for twice-vaccinated individuals who still test positive for covid-19. “Breakthrough cases” were being reported by the thousands before the rule change, but now the CDC is fixing the problem through data manipulation. The CDC instructed state health authorities to stop reporting “possible breakthrough infections” that were determined by RT-PCR tests with a threshold (Ct) value greater than 28. “Previous case counts, which were last updated on April 26, 2021, are available for reference only and will not be updated moving forward,” the CDC wrote on their site.
Throughout the covid scandal, labs used RT-PCR tests with a Ct value greater than 28, with some labs using meaningless Ct values as high as 35 or 40+. These high- cycle threshold PCR tests have been ruled scientifically meaningless but were continuously used to falsely diagnose healthy people with covid-19, creating the illusion of an ongoing “pandemic.”
