Booklet Highlight: Rick Warren’s Dangerous Ecumenical Pathway to Rome And How One Interview Revealed So Much — Lighthouse Trails Research Project

By Roger Oakland

In 2014, Rick Warren (called “America’s Pastor) was interviewed by Catholic T.V. network host Raymond Arroyo. The interview took place at the Saddleback Church campus and was posted on YouTube by EWTN in April of 2014. Because I had written previously in 2013 about Rick Warren’s connections to Rome and to the Catholic convert Tony Blair (former prime minister of Britain), I was very aware that Rick Warren was heading down the path toward Rome. But not until I saw this interview did I realize just how far he has gone in that direction.

When I wrote the 2013 commentary titled “What is Next for Rick Warren?,” I provided evidence to show that Warren and Britain’s prime minister Tony Blair were partnering together with the Roman Catholic Church to form a P.E.A.C.E. Plan that would lead toward the creation of a global religion in the name of Christ. While many who read that commentary were skeptical that such a Warren-Rome connection existed, the 2014 interview clearly reveals it does.

EWTN made this statement about the interview on their YouTube station:

Part II of our exclusive interview: Rick Warren, pastor of Saddleback Church in Southern California. Rick talks about the expansion of his ministry abroad, the Vatican delegation that recently came to Orange County to study his church’s style of evangelization, and which television channel he finds himself watching most often and the show that draws him.1

If you have access to the Internet, I highly recommend you watch the entire thirty-minute interview as it is filled with information that provides further insight into Rick Warren’s pathway to Rome—one he has actually been supporting for quite some time. For instance, in 2005, Warren created the Purpose Driven Life Catholics program. And in his best-selling book, The Purpose Driven Life (released in 2002), Warren makes several favorable references to well-known Catholics: page 88 (Brother Lawrence, a Catholic mystic); page 108 (Catholic priest and contemplative mystic, Henri Nouwen and Catholic panentheist St. John of the Cross); and twice he mentions Mother Theresa (pages 125 and 231).

But in this EWTN interview, Warren takes his views of the Catholic Church to even “greater” heights and admits he is in favor of the Roman Catholic New Evangelization program (set up to win the “lost brethren” back to the Mother Church).2

The Warren-Arroyo Interview
What did he say?! This is exactly the direction we predicted he would go! It will be crucial that skeptics hear and see this interview. These were the thoughts running through my head when I first watched the EWTN interview with Rick Warren and Raymond Arroyo. The comments by Rick Warren in response to Arroyo’s questions were stunning. They left no room for doubt in my mind—Warren is marching towards ecumenical unity with Rome, and it has become clearer than it ever was before.

The interview opened with the following question by Arroyo:

The Purpose Driven Life is the best-selling book in the world—36 million plus copies. It’s been translated more than any book except the Bible. What is the key to that success? Why were so many people touched by that book and continue to be?3

To Arroyo’s question, Warren responded:

You know, Ray, there is not a single new thought in Purpose Driven Life that hadn’t been said for 2,000 years. I’ve just said it in a fresh way. I said it in a simple way. When I was writing Purpose Driven Life it took me seven months, twelve hours a day. I’d get up at 4:30 in the morning. I’d go to a little study. Start at 5 a.m. I was fasting til noon, and I would light some candles, and I would start writing and rewrite, rewrite, rewrite. One of the things I did before I wrote the book was, um, I’d ask the question—How do you write a book that lasts 500 years? For instance, um, Imitation of Christ by Thomas Kempis, Practicing the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence. Ok? The Desert Fathers, St. John of the Cross, Teresa of Avila. All of these great, classic devotional works. Any one of them—I just realized that in order to be timeless you have to be eternal.4

Warren’s answer certainly provides some understanding as to where his spiritual affinities lie, and it associates him with the Catholic contemplative prayer movement brought into the evangelical church through Richard Foster and Dallas Willard. Interestingly, in Warren’s first book, The Purpose Driven Church, he identified (and promoted) Foster and Willard as key players in that movement.5

In the interview with Raymond Arroyo, Warren’s exalting of the writers he refers to is disconcerting to say the least. They are all mystics. Brother Lawrence talked of “dancing violently like a mad man” when he went “into the presence.”6 Teresa of Avila levitated and often wrote about her numerous esoteric mystical experiences.7 St. John of the Cross (author of the contemplative favorite, Dark Night of the Soul) was panenthestic in his belief that God was in all creation.8  The Desert Fathers were ancient hermits and monks who embraced the mystical prayer practices of those from pagan religions.

For Rick Warren to list the writings of these Catholic mystics as “great” insinuating they are “eternal” is more than revealing. The Bible is the inspired word of God. As the apostle Paul states, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). While the Bible is great and is eternal, the books written by Roman Catholic mystics are the works of fallible humans who were misled by the fallen spiritual dimension. They can promote doctrines of demons and lead Bible believers away from the faith.

Raymond Arroyo then asked Rick Warren the following question:

What is your secret to reaching people every day, every week, not only in your writing but when they speak to you? What is it? What is this communication gift, if you will, if you could decode, because a lot of preachers would like to know.9

While Warren mentions Pope Francis several times throughout the interview with the EWTN host, he answers this question by directing attention to the pope, stating:

Well, the main thing is love always reaches people. Authenticity, humility. Pope Francis is the perfect example of this. He is a—He is doing everything right. You see, people will listen to what we say if they like what they see. And as our new pope, he was very, very symbolic in, you know, his first mass with people with AIDS, uh, his kissing of the deformed man, his loving the children. This authenticity, this humility, the caring for the poor, this is what the whole world expects us Christians to do. And when we—when they go, oh, that’s what a Christian does—In fact, there was a headline here in Orange County—and I love the headline. It said, if you love Pope Francis, you’ll love Jesus. That was the headline! I showed it to a group of priests I was speaking to awhile back.10 (emphasis added)

While loving others is a quality all Christians should embrace and promote, using Pope Francis as the perfect example seems somewhat opportunistic. For Rick Warren to call Pope Francis “our new pope” suggests that Rick Warren has accepted the pope not only as the head of the Catholic Church but as the head of the Christian church as well. Either Rick Warren believes that or he was indeed being opportunistic.

His comments about the Orange County headline, “If You Love Pope Francis, You’ll love Jesus,” is no less reason for scrutiny. Can you imagine the apostle Paul referring to the head of a false religion as “our” leader and comparing this false teacher to Jesus Christ.

Rick Warren, Religious Liberty, and Catholics & Evangelicals Together
It is a well-known fact, based on Bible prophecy, that the last-days one-world religion called the “harlot” will be a counterfeit to the true church, which is the Bride of Christ. Bible scholars who take this position believe the ecumenical gathering of religions together for the cause of peace will be the prerequisite. One of the key events bringing this about is when a declaration is made that the Reformation is over, and the “separated brethren” will be welcomed back into the fold (i.e., the Catholic Church).

This booklet you are reading deals with aspects of the Rick Warren-Raymond Arroyo EWTN interview that provide some significant clues indicating this scenario is presently underway. I am making reference to a portion of the interview that deals with the topic of religious liberty.  In fact, it was revealed that Rick Warren may have a plan laid away for the future of promoting a “religious liberty movement” that will be the equivalent of the “civil liberties movement” of the past. When Raymond Arroyo asked Rick Warren what he thought about the separation of church and state and how the Supreme Court would rule on this topic in the future, Warren responded:

Now it’s interesting that phrase today means the exact opposite of what it meant in Jefferson’s days. Today people think it means keeping religion out of government or out of politics. But actually, the separation of church and state was we are going to protect the church from the government. I believe that religious liberty may be the civil rights issue of the next decade. And if it takes some high profile pastors going to jail, like Martin Luther King did with civil rights, I’m in. So be it. I mean, as Peter said and the apostles that we must obey God rather than men.11 (emphasis added)

It may seem surprising to some that “America’s Pastor” would be so outspoken and willing to take such a strong stand for religious liberty—especially when he shows his passion for this topic by stating he is personally willing to go to jail for such a cause. These are passionate words. Does this mean that the Purpose Driven Church model may have a broader agenda than previously advertised?

Arroyo then asks Warren:

Do you think events like this, moments like this, are actually sources of unity and moments of unity, particularly for Catholics and Evangelicals?12

When I first listened to Warren’s response, I was somewhat surprised by what he said. However, after thinking about it further and comparing his answer with other statements Warren previously made about his willingness to work together with various faiths  and belief systems for the common cause of good, his response made perfect sense. Warren states:

Well, obviously we have so much in common in protecting our religious rights—and really the religious rights of other people who we disagree with on beliefs and behaviors. Muslims, for instance, don’t drink alcohol. If all of a sudden they made a law that said every Muslim restaurant has to serve alcohol, I would be there protesting with that. If they made a law that said every Jewish deli in New York City has to sell pork, I’m going to be there protesting. I don’t have a problem with pork. But I am going to protest that. If they make a law that says every Catholic school has to provide contraceptives, if you’re morally convinced you shouldn’t have contraceptives, I stand with you, firm with you on your belief on that because you have a right to train your children the way you want to.13

It is difficult to challenge Warren’s argument as he states his case. Religious freedom is a major pillar that America was founded upon. To attack religious freedom or rights could well spark a religious liberty movement if this is the direction political leaders are headed.

However, it is also possible that a so-called “religious liberty” movement championed by America’s Pastor, who is willing to go to jail for standing up for the religious rights of all religions, could be a stepping stone to something else. Especially when it is so obvious this would be another effective way to join evangelicals and Catholics together, the current common trend is going that direction wtih each passing day.

While it may be a stretch to suggest Rick Warren will become the pied piper who unites all the world religions for a common cause, it is certainly within the realm of possibility that Warren could be a major spokesperson for persuading evangelicals to join together with Roman Catholics. This whole movement has been in place for some time and has received endorsements from such well-known leaders as Bill Bright, J. I. Packer, and Charles Colson.

In the past, Rick Warren has made numerous statements about his willingness to join forces with Rome in order to establish the kingdom of God here on earth. In a message Warren gave at the Pew Forum on Religion in Key West Florida, May 23, 2005, he stated:

Now when you get 25 percent of America, which is basically Catholic, and you get 28 to 29 percent of America which is evangelical together, that’s called a majority. And it is a very powerful bloc, if they happen to stay together on particular issues. . . . I would encourage you to look at this evolving alliance between evangelical Protestants and Catholics.14

Without question, Warren’s “evolving alliance” with Rome has come a long way since he made this statement. The interview with Raymond Arroyo of EWTN is proof of that. When a pastor of Warren’s stature and influence refrains from warning his followers about the dangers found in the extra- and non-biblical teachings of Roman Catholicism, discerning Christians should not remain silent.

Rick Warren, Jean Vanier, and the New Evangelization
One significant revelation that was brought to light during the interview was that Rick Warren and Saddleback Church had hosted a delegation from Rome to discuss the New Evangelization program. According to the interview, a number of Roman Catholic delegates were observing the Warren-Saddleback Purpose-Driven model in order to gain ideas and insight for the Roman Catholic New Evangelization plan initiated by Pope John Paul II and continued by Pope Benedict and Pope Francis. I have discussed this New Evangelization plan and the serious implications of it in several articles over the years as well as in my book Another Jesus: the eucharistic christ and the new evangelization.

With regard to the Catholic delegation visit to Saddleback, Raymond Arroyo asked Rick Warren the following question:

The Vatican recently sent a delegation here to Saddleback—the pontifical council—the academy for life. Tell me what they discovered and why did they come? This is a sizable group.15
Rick Warren enthusiastically answered:

They were about thirty bishops from Europe. One of the men had been actually trained and mentored by Jean Vanier, which is an interesting thing because we have a retreat center here and my spiritual director, who grew up at Saddleback, actually went and trained under Jean Vanier too. So I am very excited about that.16

While the term “spiritual director”* or the name Jean Vanier may not mean much to you unless you are versed on contemplative mystical spirituality, this admission by Warren provides conclusive evidence of his endorsement of Roman Catholic monastic mysticism (i.e., contemplative prayer). The fact he mentions he has his “own” spiritual director located at Saddleback who was trained under the leadership of Jean Vanier is even more significant and further unveils Warren’s journey to Rome.

Let’s take a brief look now at Jean Vanier, the man who trained Rick Warren’s spiritual director. This will provide important insights. Vanier (b. 1928) is the Canadian Catholic founder of L’Arche, which is a humanitarian community for disabled people. It is L’Arche where Catholic priest Henri Nouwen spent the last ten years of his life. Vanier is a contemplative mystic who promotes interspirituality and interfaith beliefs, calling the Hindu Mahatma Gandhi “one of the greatest prophets of our times”17 and “a man sent by God.”18  In the book Essential Writings, Vanier talks about “opening doors to other religions” and helping people develop their own faiths be it Hinduism, Christianity, or Islam.19 The book also describes how Vanier read Thomas Merton and practiced and was influenced by the spiritual exercises of the Jesuit founder and mystic St. Ignatius.

Now think about this. To learn through Rick Warren’s interview with Raymond Arroyo that Warren’s own “spiritual director” was trained under Jean Vanier is, at the very least, a key to understanding the long history where Rick Warren has expressed support for contemplative mystics and ecumenical/interspiritual efforts. In Ray Yungen’s book, A Time of Departing, he points out that both Rick and Kay Warren very much admire the writings of Henri Nouwen. As a matter of fact, Yungen has devoted an entire chapter to Rick Warren’s contemplative propensities including his instructions in The Purpose Driven Life on breath prayers. Now that Warren has revealed that his own spiritual director was trained under someone like Jean Vanier, we can better understand the direction Warren is heading.

The New Roman Catholic Evangelization
If the delegation sent to Saddleback from Rome consisted of thirty Bishops, obviously this was a very significant event. What were the delegates discussing with Warren and his team? Warren provides the answer to that question in the interview:

[T]hey were talking about the New Evangelization, and Saddleback has been very effective in reaching [the] secular mindset. Our church is 33 years old. Easter 2014 at Saddleback is our 34th anniversary. And in 34 years, we’ve baptized 38,000 adults. Now, these are adult converts. People with no religious background. People who say, “I was nothing before I came to Saddleback.” So we figured out a way to reach that mindset. And I fully support your Catholic Church’s New Evangelization which basically says we’ve got to re-evangelize people who are Christian in name but not in heart. And they need a new fresh relationship to our Savior.20 (emphasis added)

While Warren provides his stamp of approval on the Roman Catholic New Evangelization program and makes it sound like the purpose is to win converts to Christ, there is much more to the picture than Warren describes. The Roman Catholic New Evangelization program is dedicated to winning converts to the Roman Catholic Eucharistic Christ and obedience to the sacraments of the Roman Catholic Church. While Warren may call this “a new fresh relationship to our Savior,” he is overlooking what Catholics must believe in order to be a member of the Catholic Church. Either he is oblivious to this fact or he is ignorant of it. For a man who claims to be a voracious reader and who has a doctorate degree from a theological seminary, it’s hard to believe it’s the latter.

In a commentary I wrote called “Mysticism, Monasticism, and the New Evangelization,” I was able to document that contemplative mysticism provides the catalyst for the New Evangelization. Thus, Rome and Babylon join together to form a new ecumenical Christianity that fits the description of the harlot—the counterfeit bride—described in the book of Revelation, chapter 18.

The facts stare us in the face. Warren’s pathway to Rome is dangerous! Why do so few recognize what is happening? Do you know someone who is caught up in the deception but does not see what is going on? Maybe this would be a good time to pray God’s grace would open their eyes, and they would see the truth of God’s word.

Rick Warren and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy
Some who are reading this report may be asking the question: Why spend so much time and energy on this topic? What is wrong with “America’s Pastor” expressing his support for the Roman Catholic Church and what it stands for?

The answer is simple. Bible-believing Christians are called to “contend for the faith” (Jude 3). When a Christian leader publicly makes statements or endorsements by saying or doing things that contradict the Bible, the leader needs to be addressed in a public manner so those who have been influenced can be put back on track. While many professing Christians who embrace full-blown ecumenical unity with Rome remain silent and see no harm with the direction Warren is heading, we are compelled to sound the alarm.

Thus far in this booklet, I have addressed several critical topics indicating Warren is headed down the road to Rome. Now, I would like to address what is possibly the most blatant endorsement of Roman Catholicism revealed in Warren’s entire interview with EWTN. It was so revealing that even Raymond Arroyo expressed surprise when he asked Warren to comment on the following topic:

Tell me about your—the little breather you take in the day when you watch television. When we first met, you came up to me afterwards—I can’t believe you watch Chaplet of Divine Mercy.21

In response to Arroyo’s comment, Rick Warren expounded:

I’m an avid fan of EWTN. I make no bones about it. I probably watch it more than any Christian channel. Well, you know what? Because you have more, more, uh, shows that relate to history. And if you don’t understand the roots of our faith, that God had been working for 2,000 years, regardless of what brand of believer you are, God has been working for 2,000 years in His church. And if you don’t have those roots, you’re like the cut flower syndrome. Or you’re a tumbleweed.22

If Warren’s main reason for watching the Roman Catholic Eternal Word Television Network is to gain a knowledge and understanding of Christian history, then there is no question he is getting a biased one-sided view. While I admit I do not watch EWTN as much as Warren apparently does (and certainly not for the same reasons), I do know that a major part of Christian history dealing with the Reformation and the Counter-reformation is not one of the favorite topics presented. Perhaps a quick review of Fox’s Book of Martyrs would be a good balance for Warren and a reminder of what happened to Christians who stood up against the pope of Rome and his Jesuit enforcers in the past for believing the Word of God rather than the word of man. People were burned at the stake for saying that Jesus could not be found in a wafer (the Eucharist).23

In the interview, Warren not only stated that EWTN was his favorite Christian television network, he further offered that he had a favorite program he and his wife watch regularly on that network. When I first watched the entire EWTN interview, it was the statement Warren made at this point that primarily motivated me to do this report. If Arroyo was shocked by this revelation, the best way to describe my reaction to his response would be astonished and angry. In Warren’s own words:

One of my favorite shows, which you repeat often is the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, which I love. And when I’ve had a very stressful day, I’ll come home, I’ve got it taped, and Kay and I will both, we’ll listen. We’ll put it on and just sit back, relax and worship. And in the time of reflection, meditation and quietness, I find myself renewed and restored. So thank you for continuing to play the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.24

Arroyo responds to Warren’s statement, “Thank Mother Angelica.”

Warren then echoes, “Thank you, Mother Angelica.”

“Mother” Mary Angelica (b. 1923) is the founder of the Eternal Word Television Network. Among the programs making up the daily broadcasting schedule is “The Chaplet of Divine Mercy.” A description of this program provides background information:

The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy is a Christian devotion based on the visions of Jesus reported by Saint Mary Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938), known as “the Apostle of Mercy.” She was a Polish sister of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy and canonized as a Catholic saint in 2000. Faustina stated that she received the prayer through visions and conversations with Jesus, who made specific promises regarding the recitation of the prayers. Her Vatican biography quotes some of these conversations. As a Roman Catholic devotion, the chaplet is often said as a rosary-based prayer with the same set of rosary beads used for reciting the Holy Rosary or the Chaplet of Holy Wounds, in the Roman Catholic Church. As an Anglican devotion, The Divine Mercy Society of the Anglican Church states that the chaplet can also be recited on Anglican prayer beads. The chaplet may also be said without beads, usually by counting prayers on the fingertips, and may be accompanied by the veneration of the Divine Mercy image.25

Note the reference to “the veneration of the Divine Mercy image,” which is an essential component of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Consider this further documentation that will clarify that idolatry is the only way to describe what is taking place:

The earliest element of the Devotion to the Divine Mercy revealed to St. Faustina was the Image. On February 22nd, 1931 Jesus appeared to her with rays radiating from His heart and said, Paint an image according to the pattern you see, with the signature: Jesus I trust in You. I desire that this image be venerated, first in your chapel, and throughout the world. (Diary 47)

I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish. I also promise victory over its enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I myself will defend it as My own glory. (Diary 48) I am offering people a vessel with which they are to keep coming for graces to the fountain of mercy. That vessel is this image with the signature “Jesus, I trust in You.” (Diary 327)26

One could contend that Warren was just “making conversation” with Arroyo or even making a joke when he made the claim that The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy was his favorite “Christian” television program. But he has never made a public statement refuting or withdrawing his statements. Plus, he gave such detail in his account. If this is what he truly believes, if he was speaking the truth to Arroyo, then he is defying the God of the Bible and willingly ignoring the commandment in the Bible that states:

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. (Exodus 20:4)

While researching this issue, I took the time to watch several Chaplet of the Divine Mercy programs posted on the Internet. Staring at images of “Christ” or worshipping a monstrance containing the supposed body of Christ while repeating the rosary apparently brought peace and relaxation for Warren. However, it does not take a great deal of discernment to realize these unbiblical practices are rooted in paganism.* *

The Bottom Line
There’s no other way to put it, Rick Warren is on a dangerous path away from sound biblical doctrine toward an ecumenical apostate form of Christianity with Rome that has the potential to lead many astray.

What does it mean “to earnestly contend for the faith”? Is sound biblical doctrine being compromised for the sake of unity in the church today? When a pastor endorses a television program that promotes idolatry, shouldn’t that pastor be called out or at least asked to give a public repeal of his earlier endorsements?

The facts have been presented and a hypothesis can be formulated that leads to a reasonable conclusion. My prayer is that the damage done to biblical Christianity can be corrected through open repentance and public statements that set the record straight by Warren himself and those who follow him.

The Warren-Arroyo EWTN interview that first aired on YouTube on April 11, 2014 provides many insights regarding the “New Evangelicalism” that is presently unfolding. Rather than lines being drawn in the sand, walls are coming down, and ecumenical unity is being established. If Rick Warren and his followers represent the direction many Protestants are heading, it is only a matter of time for the coming one-world ecumenical religion to be established. The Jesuit plan to bring the “separated brethren home to Rome” will have been accomplished. Those who refuse to follow will be singled out and considered “heretics” who are ruining the P.E.A.C.E. process. Is it possible that persecution for these “resisters” is in store.

August 24 Evening Quotes of The Day

We Are Christ’s Disciples When We Obey
Matthew 11:29; 28:20; Luke 6:46; John 15:14, 17

Then are we the servants of God, then are we the disciples of Christ, when we do what is commanded us, and because it is commanded us.

When Kings Do Not Execute Justice, Others May
Proverbs 29:26; Jeremiah 22:3; Amos 5:12; Micah 3:9–12; Romans 13:1–7

The sword of justice … is God’s, and is given to princes and rulers for an end, which, if they transgress, sparing the wicked and oppressing innocents, those who in the fear of God execute judgment where God has commanded do not offend God, although kings do it not.

Ritzema, E. (2013). 300 Quotations for Preachers from the Reformation. Bellingham, WA: Lexham Press.

Survey: 60% of Born Again Christians Don’t Believe Jesus is the Only Way — Protestia

Only 60% of born-again Christians believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven, according to a new survey commissioned by Probe Ministries in their quest to determine what percentage of professing believers are pluralists.

The survey results are disturbing because the results are not derived from a generic Christian label, but rather all the participants had to confirm that they were “born-again” which includes affirming that they have 1) made a “personal commitment to Jesus Christ that is still important in their life today and 2) when asked what will happen to them after they die, affirmed “I will go to heaven because I confessed my sins and accepted Jesus Christ as my savior.”

Of this group:

  • 85% said that Jesus died on the cross “To redeem us by taking our sins and our punishment upon Himself” (10% said He threatened the stature of the Jewish leaders of the day.)
  • 71% said that while on earth, Jesus was sinless.
  • 69% said Jesus will return to this earth to save those who await his coming.

They continue:

What do Americans believe about multiple ways to heaven? And, especially what do Born Again
Christians believe? To determine who was a pluralist, we asked what the respondents thought about the
following two statements:

Muhammad, Buddha and Jesus all taught valid ways to God. Answers from Disagree Strongly to Agree

I believe that the only way to a true relationship with God is through Jesus Christ. Answers from Disagree
Strongly to Agree Strongly

The real shocker jumping from this page is that over 60% of Born Again Christians are also pluralists.
Apparently, a majority of Born Again Christians are ignorant about the basic teachings of their faith.
Also, it is interesting and disturbing that the percentage of Born Again Christians who are not pluralistic
is almost flat across the ages from

They conclude:

Based on these results, about one-third of Born Again Christians appear to have a consistent biblical
view toward pluralism. Another third appear to be totally in line with the pluralist position. The last third
are those who want to say that Jesus is the only true path to God AND that Mohammad and Buddha also
taught valid ways to God. In church, they may say that Jesus in the only way, but out in the world they
act as if Muslims and Buddhists don’t need to know this critical truth. These individuals have an
incoherent worldview.

These are some sad results, and demonstrate the fruit of much of the modern seeker-sensitive church movement that is big on experiences and therapeutic moralistic deism, rather than deep teaching and catechesis about Christ.

America’s False Saviors and Fall – The Day of the Lord is at Hand! — The Ignorant Fishermen Blog

My dear friend’s, once America’s restraint is totally and fully removed from this present evil world, what is to stop the global lawless march to doomsday and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse’s ride(2 Thess. 2:2-8, Rev. 6-19)! My friends, a very sobering NOTHING! That is right, NOTHING! We are at the bottom of the super accelerating vortex in world’s history, where there is no more time, room and remedies to fix our nation and world’s horrific EXPONENTIAL ills.

We are at the bottom of the super accelerating vortex in world’s history where there is no more time, room and remedies to fix our nation and world’s horrific EXPONENTIAL ills.

We are at the bottom of the super accelerating vortex in world’s history, where there is no more time, room and remedies to fix our nation and world’s horrific EXPONENTIAL lawless ills. After the Titanic stuck the iceberg of doom it was just a matter of time before her doom was complete. As the Titanic took on more and more water from the hole in her side cause by the iceberg, the faster it sank and such is our hour in America. A blind man should see it… and deaf man should hear it… but yet America is clueless while the Titanic is minutes from going down. In 2021 Americans are desperately looking for false saviors and “life boats” without any knowledge to deliver our nation from the unrecoverable effects of last 50 years. Politicians from all political spectrums are running for “captain” of the Titanic (aka – president) with moments before our sinking, offering delusional solutions with no REALITY whatsoever! WAKE UP AMERICA! It is time for Americans and the world to recognize that the Day of the Lord is closer than it ever was! The Four Horsemen’s horrific shadows linger over our heads as dark storm clouds of an unstoppable deadly storm, full of MIGHTY power and full of irreversible HORRIFIC destruction (Isa. 24, Matt. 24, Rev. 6-19). When America falls, the world will fall with it! Be not deceived, the end result will be the coming anti Christ, 666 and the Battle of Armageddon(Matt. 24:15, 2 Thess. 2:3-12, Rev. 13, Rev. 16:13-16).

A blind man should see it…! and deaf man should hear it…! but yet America is sleeping while the Titanic is minutes from going down.

My dear friends, Oh how we need Divine REALITY today and not delusional optimistic appraisals, nor fallen lawless worldly solutions for our EXPONENTIAL national and global crises. Almighty God cries out to you all the day long, but will YOU receive Him and His ETERNAL solutions for your life (John 3:16-17)? That is the greatest question ALL must ask themselves in these last days before the Four Horsemen ride (Rev. 6). All these current events and crises of our global community are self-induced by the lawless and godless works of fallen man (Rom. 1:18-32, Gal. 6:7). These products of evil men and their consequences are left in place to bring us to the brink of our delusions so that we may come out of our subjective selves and show us our desperate need for the Savior, His pardon, and His RIGHTEOUSNESS (Isa. 1:18, John 3:16-17, Rom. 10:2-4, 1 Cor. 1:30).

My dear friends, Oh how we need Divine REALITY today and not delusional worldly solutions for our EXPONENTIAL global crises.

My dear friends, WHAT WILL YOU DO in such an hour? Will you continue to look for worldly solutions and human saviors or will you finally face the REALITY of our hour, come to the end of yourself and receive the KING of kings and LORD of lords who is the WONDERFUL COUNSELOR and PRINCE of PEACE (Isa. 9:6-7, Rev. 19:11-16).

All ETERNITY is before us and our brief existence in this fallen world is about gone. See the ETERNAL, see the Savior, see the REALITY and you will find the liberation and peace of Almighty God that will calm your hearts in America’s last hours.

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved!” (Acts 16:29)!

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

A Strong Heart — VCY America

Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. (Psalm 27:14)

Wait! Wait! Let your waiting be on the Lord! He is worth waiting for. He never disappoints the waiting soul.

While waiting keep up your spirits, Expect a great deliverance, and be ready to praise God for it.

The promise which should cheer you is in the middle of the verse—”He shall strengthen thine heart.” This goes at once to the place where you need help. If the heart be sound, all the rest of the system will work well. The heart wants calming and cheering, and both of these will come if it be strengthened. A forceful heart rests and rejoices and throbs force into the whole man.

No one else can get at that secret urn of life, the heart, so as to pour strength into it. He alone who made it can make it strong. God is full of strength, and, therefore, He can impart it to those who need it. Oh, be brave; for the Lord will impart His strength to you, and you shall be calm in tempest and glad in sorrow.

He who penned these lines can write as David did—”Wait, I say, on the Lord.” I do, indeed, say it. I know by long and deep experience that it is good for me to wait upon the Lord.

August 24 – Joy overflowing from tables to tables — Reformed Perspective

So continuing daily in one accord in the temple and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart. – Acts 2:46

Scripture reading: Acts 2:22-47

Union with Christ, in His death and resurrection, manifests itself in the joy of the forgiveness of sins and the renewing work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. This joy of belonging to Jesus is expressed here in verse 42 by ‘continuing steadfastly’, joining with other believers in hearing and learning God’s Word together, in fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in praying together.

In the breaking of bread together” indicates believers continued steadfastly in the sharing of meals, including the Lord’s Supper. Imagine the thrill of partaking of the Lord’s Supper which Christ had instituted about two months before. Do we experience this joy when we come to the Lord’s Table? Verse 46 also indicates that the joy in Jesus overflows from the Lord’s Table to the tables in the homes of fellow believers. In sharing their meals together, “they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.” The joy of forgiveness overflows in the sharing of goods, but also of the table. What an attractive reflection of God’s rich hospitality toward us in Christ!

In our sad and joyless world, this joy is winsome. Take note of verse 47, “and the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” The ascended Christ summons us to join the feast! He gives the joy of forgiveness and of His Holy Spirit to all who believe. God promises that the “parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water…” (Isaiah 35:7a).

Suggestions for prayer

If you belong to the body of believers, thank the Lord for adding you to His body. Pray for courage to encourage others who say they believe but are not members of the body of Christ. Pray that this joy of belonging may manifest itself practically in our lives.

August 24 Afternoon Quotes of The Day

“The Doctrine of Resurrection Is Full of Joy to the Bereaved”
John 11:24

The doctrine of the resurrection is full of joy to the bereaved. It clothes the grave with flowers, and wreathes the tomb with unfading laurel. The sepulchre shines with a light brighter than the sun, and death grows fair, as we say, in full assurance of faith, “I know that my brother shall rise again.” Rent from the ignoble shell the pearl is gone to deck the crown of the Prince of Peace; buried beneath the sod the seed is preparing to bloom in the King’s garden.

Triumph Over Self Is the Perfect Victory
1 Corinthians 9:24–27; 1 Thessalonians 5:6; Titus 2:12; 1 Peter 4:7

If you completely conquer yourself, you will more easily subdue all other things. The perfect victory is to triumph over self.

Biden approval crashes to 41% after disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal — Conservative Review

President Joe Biden’s approval rating has cratered in the wake of his heavily criticized withdrawal from Afghanistan and disorganized evacuation of American citizens and Afghan allies from the Taliban-controlled capital, Kabul.

A new USA Today/Suffolk University poll found that Biden’s job approval has dropped to 41%, with 55% of survey respondents saying they disapprove of the president’s performance. It is a significant drop for Biden, who until last week has generally enjoyed an approval rating above 50% in national polls.

Biden is still strongly backed by Democrats, with 87% of the party faithful voicing support for the president. But only 32% of independents said they approve of how the president is handling the job.

The poll was conducted last Thursday through Monday, as the crisis in Afghanistan dominated media headlines. The survey also found that 50% approve of Biden’s handling of the pandemic, 39% approve of his handling of the economy, and just 26% approve of his handling of Afghanistan.

“Today, President Biden’s overall approval has taken a turn for the worse due to his awful job performance rating on Afghanistan,” David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk Political Research Center, said. “His approval on immigration and the economy are also upside down. The only issue keeping him remotely in the game is his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, where he is barely at 50%.”

Most Americans support the president’s decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan, which followed former President Donald Trump’s attempt to reach an agreement for withdrawal with the Taliban.

But survey respondents criticized Biden for letting the Taliban seize U.S. military equipment and weapons and for shifting blame for the Taliban’s speedy take over of the country onto the failure of U.S.-trained Afghan security forces.

The trouble for Biden isn’t just brewing at home. The United States’ international partners have openly criticized the president’s handling of withdrawal. German politician Armin Laschet, widely seen as the apparent successor to Chancellor Angela Merkel, called the situation “the greatest debacle that NATO has seen since its foundation.”

The U.K. parliament voted to hold Biden in contempt in what the BBC described as “an unprecedented rebuke to a U.S. president.”

European leaders at the virtual G7 summit urged Biden to extend the August 31 deadline for U.S. troops to withdraw from the country to give international troops more time to evacuate their country’s citizens and Afghan allies, but the president ignored their requests.

Biden Says We May Need To Reinvade Afghanistan As They Have Weapons Of Mass Destruction Which We Gave Them — The Babylon Bee

WASHINGTON, D.C.—In a stirring address to the nation, Biden sadly announced that we may soon have to invade Afghanistan once again after intelligence reports revealed they may have weapons of mass destruction, which we gave to them last week.

“Listen, folks, I know it seems like just last week since we were in Afghanistan,” he said, “but it looks like we may have to go back. As it turns out, there are terrorists who now have weapons of mass destruction since we gave them weapons of mass destruction just the other day. Too bad! We have no other choice!”

The administration then announced they will be mobilizing 85,000 troops to reinvade the country and seize the weapons of mass destruction before the terrorists have a chance to use them. Then they will stay behind for 2 or 20 years to make sure nothing bad happens before abruptly leaving in the middle of the night since that worked so well last time.

“This time, we’ll make sure to grab all our stuff before we leave!” Biden assured the public.

A huge number of supermassive black holes roam the Universe
Supermassive black holes are usually located more or less stationary in the centers of galaxies. But not all of these amazing cosmic objects stay in place; some of them fly around galaxies like space travelers. We call such black holes “wanderers,” and they are largely theoretical because they are difficult (but not impossible) to observe and therefore quantify. But a new set of simulations has allowed a group of scientists to figure out how many wanderers there must be and where they are–which, in turn, may help us detect them in the universe.

Will FDA Vaccine Approval Change Minds?

Nate Jackson

Here come the vaccination mandates. That’s going to be the biggest impact following the FDA’s announcement Monday that it has in record time officially approved the Pfizer vaccine for individuals 16 and older. Will this convince reluctant Americans?

The FDA’s approval of the vaccine comes in the midst of the surge in cases, hospitalizations, and deaths resulting from the Delta variant of COVID. Is getting vaccinated a good idea? For most people, unless you’ve already had COVID, yes. Yet just 51% of Americans are fully vaccinated, albeit in many cases because they’re too young. Would the surge right now be as high if more people were vaccinated? Likely not, though a Mayo Clinic study recently concluded that the two primary vaccines, Pfizer and Moderna, are less effective against the Delta variant than they were against the original. Ironically, the newly approved Pfizer shot is far less effective than the still-unapproved Moderna vaccine.

Some protection is better than none, and reduced symptoms are better than severe ones.

Nevertheless, after one party in particular so thoroughly politicized the vaccines in order to win an election, millions of Americans don’t trust what a government agency is telling them. Gee, how surprising.

In theory, the FDA approval should bolster confidence. That’s what The Wall Street Journal editorial board argues. In part, they say, that’s because “there’s now more data vouching for the Pfizer vaccine’s safety than there has been for any other vaccine approved by the FDA.”

In reality, however, this expedited process will only solidify in the minds of many that the fix was in from the beginning. As even the Journal notes, “Pfizer’s vaccine has gone from development to full approval in less than 18 months, a fraction of the 10 to 12 years required on average.” That in and of itself certainly isn’t evidence of a conspiracy, but among citizens who greatly distrust government and the media, it doesn’t exactly disprove one either.

One could be forgiven for asking if the 2020 election would have turned out differently if either Pfizer or Moderna had announced their vaccine days before it instead of days afterwards. One also might wonder if expediting now merely serves Joe Biden’s political purposes. Aside from his vaccination goals, there is a debacle in Afghanistan from which he’d like to distract you.

Those nods to understandable conclusions aside, we in our humble shop happen to think (life-saving) innovation happens best when government gets out of the way. That’s what happened here.

Yet the authoritarians among us won’t be content until everyone is made to agree, which will have exactly the opposite result.

New York City has already announced its Orwellian “Key to NYC” vaccination mandate. Numerous corporations and schools already had implemented mandates. Many more will do likewise using FDA approval as justification. That includes the Pentagon.

“Today I’m calling on more companies … in the private sector to step up the vaccine requirements that will reach millions more people,” Biden said. “If you’re a business leader, a non-profit leader, a state or local leader, who has been waiting for full FDA approval to require vaccinations, I call on you now to do that. … Do what I did last month, requiring employees to get vaccinated or face strict requirements.”

Biden may be suffering severe cognitive decline, but he — or at least his handlers — know exactly what his statement will do. It will divide Americans along red and blue lines, rather than allowing for free people to make free choices. That’s a gross misuse of his bully pulpit, and it will cost lives.

Cuomo’s Self-Aggrandizing Exit

Thomas Gallatin

Andrew Cuomo is finally no longer the governor of New York after stepping down yesterday. Kathy Hochul now assumes the post, becoming the Empire State’s first woman governor. Yet, before he exited stage left, Cuomo made sure that everyone knew he’s the real victim of his sexual harassment fiasco. In a pre-recorded 15-minute farewell speech, he never offered an apology to the victims of his sexual misconduct. Instead, Cuomo lamented that politicized allegations had forced him out.

His victims weren’t the ones guilty of doing the politicizing. The testimonies of 11 women were provided to New York Attorney General Letitia James as part of her investigative report. Cuomo is the one who played politics from his position of power, as he sought to silence, discredit, and intimidate these women.

There was no “unfair and unjust” “rush to judgement” as Cuomo maintained. Rather, there was a careful investigation that turned up evidence substantiating these women’s allegations. Tellingly, Cuomo’s himself essentially admitted many of the allegations were true, though he insisted that the women misunderstood his gestures. It was a disgraceful display of victim blaming.

Just don’t forget Cuomo’s nursing home scandal — his order regarding COVID-positive patients led to suffering and the deaths of thousands of the state’s most vulnerable people during the early months of the pandemic. He sought to cover up that decision, and then when later exposed refused to offer any apology. Recall this doozie: “Apologize? Look, I have said repeatedly: We made a mistake in creating the void. When we didn’t provide information, it allowed press, people, cynics, politicians to fill the void.”

That same attitude was on full display in Cuomo’s swan song, as he sought to both lionize his tenure and refuse to concede anything other than that he was a victim of a politically motivated hit job. “When government politicizes allegations and the headlines condemn without facts, you undermine the justice system,” he lectured, “and that doesn’t serve women and it doesn’t serve men. Of course, everyone has a right to come forward, and we applaud their bravery and courage in doing so, but allegations must still be scrutinized and verified.”

Doubling down on his victim status, Cuomo asserted: “A firecracker can start a stampede but at one point everyone looks around and says ‘Why are we running?’ … The attorney general’s report was designed to be a political firecracker on an explosive topic, and it worked. There was a political and media stampede. But the truth will [come] out in time. Of that I am confident.”

If he’s so innocent, then why resign? To this point Cuomo donned his inner Richard Nixon, contending: “You know me, I am a fighter. And my instinct is to fight this.” However, for the good of New York to avoid “governmental paralysis,” he concluded, resigning was the right thing to do. Spare us the self-aggrandizing self-canonization.

If the man truly had any consideration for his victims, any recognition of the wrong he has done, he would have genuinely admitted fault, apologized, and left, with no attempts at justifications and self-accolades. He disgraced the office. Move out. It’s over.

Feds Sweep Ashli Babbitt Shooting Under the Rug

Douglas Andrews

No decent human being thinks Ashli Babbitt deserved to die on January 6. Oh, plenty of Trump-hating Democrats do, but, again, we’re talking about decent human beings, not deranged ones.

More than that, though, plenty of Democrats simply want Ashli Babbitt to go away. They want her memory expunged, they want her to stop haunting them. And more than that, they want her to stop complicating their narrative about the events of January 6 — the events that the cognitively challenged and shamelessly demagogic head of their party dubbed “the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.” (Really, Joe? Really?)

It looks like Democrats will get their wish — at least insofar as criminal justice is concerned. The Capitol cop who fatally shot Babbitt in the U.S. Capitol during the January 6 riot has been formally exonerated after an internal investigation.

“The bravery shown by the Lieutenant in organizing and coordinating the defense of the House and its members and staff was nothing short of heroic,” said the officer’s lawyer, Mark Schamel. “The Lieutenant’s conduct saved lives and helped to end the violent insurrection.”

We’re not sure the conduct of the officer, who we believe to be Michael Byrd, saved any lives, and we have no idea how his lawyer could make such a ridiculous claim. (Maybe this is why Shakespeare’s Dick the Butcher said, “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers.”)

The Babbitt family’s lawyer had no comment, but the family plans to file a $10 million wrongful death suit against the Capitol Police, so the Democrats’ desire to sweep Ashli’s death under the rug may not happen just yet.

In any case, this is what two-tiered justice and media malfeasance look like: There’s one standard when, say, a black man and a career criminal like George Floyd dies at the hands of a white cop, and another standard when an unarmed white Trump supporter dies at the hands of a black cop.

Think about it: The former apparently warrants rioting, looting, arson, and worldwide outrage; months-long protests over the phony charge of police officers gunning down unarmed black men; a memorial site named in honor of the deceased; the shaking down of corporations for more than $1 billion by Marxist grifters calling themselves Black Lives Matter; the coughing up of a cool $27 million to the family of the victim just prior to the cop’s show trial; and the vilification, prosecution, and 22-year prison sentence for the cop.

Did we miss anything?

The latter, though, which involved the shooting and killing of a 110-pound white woman and a 14-year Air Force veteran by a black cop, warrants a quiet cover-up and a lack of transparency by the internal “investigators,” the refusal to publicly divulge the offending officer’s name, and an utter lack of curiosity from the media gatekeepers about a politically charged and patently unnecessary shooting. As our Mark Alexander has pointed out:

What’s clear from the videos is that there were four uniformed officers within feet of Babbitt, at least four additional heavily armed riot police, and one or more plain-clothed officers — none of whom made an effort to prevent her attempt to climb through the broken window of the door where she was shot. There is no apparent justification for the officer’s actions, and it was fortunate that none of the other officers behind Babbitt were injured by that gunshot.

Unlike every other officer-involved shooting anywhere, there has been no public information released about the investigation of Babbitt’s shooter or the circumstances justifying that shooting — not the name of the officer involved, and not a shred of information about the motive or competence of the officer involved. For that reason, there is no reason to trust the decision to exonerate that officer, especially given the political influence of the Biden/Harris regime in that investigation.

We’ve pointed it out before, but it bears repeating: There’s one tier of justice for those on the Left, and another for those on the Right.

Afghanistan: This Veteran’s Perspective

Charles Paige

As a veteran Marine officer who spent three and a half years in Afghanistan, I’ve fielded my share of “what do you think about the exfil fail” questions this past week. The points below aren’t necessarily the definitive issues relating to the withdrawal, but they’re the ones that resonate the most with me personally.

First, it’s a mess. You can blame it on bad intelligence, bad planning, or the guy who came before you, but there’s no way to spin this to make anything about it acceptable. I don’t care who’s to blame; I care about the people who are caught in the middle of our mess. We made the mess; we owe it to them to clean it up.

Second, I’m having a hard time coming up with strong enough words to describe how wrong it is that it takes years — literally years, even with decorated veterans vouching for and investing considerable time, money, and reputational capital on their behalf — to get people who risked their lives and shared hardships alongside us out of Afghanistan, but we allow hordes of people we have no such connection with us to stream across the border like Black Friday at Walmart. Why would al-Qaida go through the trouble of having a sleeper agent jump through all the Special Immigrant Visa hoops when they can just join the record-breaking number of border crossers and hide in plain sight? Why do we pretend endless screening of our partners — who have already been thoroughly vetted before going to work for us — is going to make us safer? Not all of the masses at HKIA fall into this category, but there are a significant number of individuals and families who have been trying to work within the system for far too long and who are now having to risk their lives — again — to get out.

Third, we’ve collectively lost the ability to analyze risk and weigh cost and benefit (a thesis our (over)reaction to COVID also supports). In this case we unilaterally (i.e., no one — internationally or domestically— w as arguing forcefully for a complete withdrawal) took a relatively low-cost, low-risk option off the table. In exchange, we’ll incur a much higher risk and cost when we do this the next time. And regardless of how much folks scream “never again,” there will be a next time. Except next time we’ll have a much harder time finding folks to partner with because of the way we’ve repeatedly surprised and abandoned our allies.

We invested a lot of blood and treasure in Afghanistan. The results didn’t meet expectations, but we made tangible progress. The decision to withdraw was like driving down the interstate while looking solely in the rearview mirror: it was based almost entirely on decisions — including many mistakes — made years (some a decade or more) ago with apparently little consideration for what might lie ahead. While executed under the guise of protecting our troops and national interests, the effect is going to be the opposite. To paraphrase John Stuart Mill, war is ugly and undesirable, but not as bad as not standing up for what is right and good.

Don’t Go Woke When Your Corporate Name Is ‘American’…

American Express and Bank of America succumb to the woke indoctrination mob.

Robin Smith

In 2021, even business is considered by progressives as a political tool to address the manufactured injustices and oppressions that are peddled to keep up the victim mentality. Businesses, in the mind and views of the political Left, exist as social programs. As a result, corporations are now embracing the “woke” philosophy.

Christopher Rufo of the Manhattan Institute notes that companies like American Express and Bank of America show their political wokeness through “radical, pseudoscientific concepts of critical race theory,” which pushes “intensely ideological messages on their employees: including race-based collective guilt.”

In his article, “Bank of Amerika,” Rufo reveals whistleblower information from within the corporate giant about the company sending employees through a racial reeducation program called the “Racial Equity 21-Day Challenge.” The day-to-day curriculum is exposed for teaching “employees that the United States is a ‘racialized society’” that uses “race to establish and justify systems of power, privilege, disenfranchisement, and oppression.” The next three days of this challenge has employees being taught “about intersectionality, unconscious bias, microaggressions, and systemic racism.”

The curriculum declared, “Racism in America idolizes White physical features and White values as supreme over those of others,” which yields the white “dominant culture.” This woke initiative goes on to assert that people of color “cannot be racist, because racism is used to justify the position of the dominant group.” On days five and six, Bank of Amerika’s white employees are assigned the roles of oppressors who must confront their “white privilege” and “white fragility” in order to “discover where [they] are on the privilege spectrum” and “if [they] exhibit ‘white fragility’ traits.”

Yes, there are “diagnostic tests” that provide specific labels to identify these employees’ place on a racism spectrum. The corporate indoctrination course concludes by encouraging the bank employees to become “woke at work” and to “decolonize your mind.” This corporation, named for our great nation, became successful by relying on risk, investment, merit, market forces, and capitalism and is now force-feeding this race-hustling bilge to its employees.

American Express, another name synonymous with capitalism, made a $2.3 billion profit last quarter while it rolled out its “Anti-Racism Initiative.” A race-hustling consulting group had AMEX employees “deconstruct their own intersectional identities, mapping their race, sexual orientation, body type, religion, disability status, age, gender identity [and] citizenship onto an official company worksheet,” says Rufo in a separate piece in the New York Post.

Not only were company documents used to record the analysis by this woke consulting firm, but explicit instructions were given to white employees to “identify the privileges or advantages you have” since, clearly, all non-minorities are oppressors and are to be shamed accordingly. The American Express employees were warned to avoid phrases such as “We are all human beings” and “Everyone can succeed in this society if they work hard enough.” These statements are deemed by the race-hustling consultants as microaggressions.

Acknowledging equality is racist. Who knew Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was guilty of microaggressions?

The American Express woke work concluded as the company hosted Khalil Muhammad, the great-grandson of the Nation of Islam founder, who declared that capitalism was founded on racism and “racist logics and forms of domination.” Employees were directed to resources to “learn about covert white supremacy” and to overcome “our country’s racist heritage” while listening to podcasts about abolishing prisons, policing, and surveillance of the convicted.

The political Left is not just promoting class warfare and envy as the economic policy of its radical base. Leftists are actively embracing Marxism, which they’ve been teaching in universities for decades, as the foundation of their party’s progressivism. In the name of equal outcomes, free markets will be blamed and destroyed while equal opportunity grows extinct. Society will be grouped only into victims (not making personal choices based on personal responsibility) and aggressors (shamed for thinking hard work can move toward success).

Those companies that embrace this race-hustling will likely find themselves extorted for more and more funds by consultants, experts, and causes demanding payment for politically defined victims and acts of oppression. Yet the crisis at hand is that some of our most trusted institutions and entities founded on freedom are now operating on the divisive Critical Race Theory.

That which gets woke will go broke while also breaking our great American way of life honoring individual equality, responsibility, and potential.

The Sturgis ‘Super-Spreader’ That Wasn’t

The Leftmedia’s hyped COVID fears of the motorcycle rally proved unfounded.

Thomas Gallatin

As thousands of bikers converged in the Black Hills of South Dakota for the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally during the second week of August, they were dubiously branded by the Leftmedia know-nothings as dangerous COVID “super-spreaders.” The Washington Post provided the typical hysteria with an articled titled, “Sturgis Motorcycly Rally revs up, drawing though sands and heightening delta super spreader fears.”

But it wasn’t just the Leftmedia that blasted South Dakota for allowing the rally. Dr. Anthony Fauci offered this politically tainted prediction: “I’m very concerned … that we are going to see another surge related to that rally. I mean, to me it’s understandable that people want to do the kinds of things they want to do. They want their freedom to do that. But there comes a time when you’re dealing with a public health crisis that could involve you, your family, and everyone else that something supersedes that need to do exactly what you want to do.”

Fauci’s authoritarian fearmongering came through especially strongly, likely because South Dakota Republican Governor Kristi Noem has steadfastly refused to encroach upon her constituents’ constitutional rights.

Further demonstrating that Fauci’s concerns are tied more to politics than science was his silence over Barack Obama’s 60th birthday bash. Hundreds of guests turned up to celebrate at the former president’s estate on Martha’s Vineyard, yet not a peep came from the doctor over it being a potential super-spreader event.

Now that the end of the Sturgis rally is 14 days past — the accepted incubation period for the manifestation of COVID infections — has the event lived up to the Leftmedia’s hype? It sure doesn’t seem so.

As John Hinderaker observes: “The U.S. as a whole averaged 276 new covid cases per 100,000 population over the last seven days, while South Dakota averaged only 156. South Dakota has fewer new cases than all surrounding states except Minnesota and Iowa, which have 5% and 4% fewer new cases per 100,000 than South Dakota, respectively.”

Did the Leftmedia talkingheads admit that their super-spreader concerns were much ado about nothing? As everyone already knows, the answer is no. And there will be no follow-up mea culpa, because the issue isn’t really COVID at all. The real issue is Americans being free to engage in their constitutionally protected right to assembly. That’s a freedom leftists don’t believe Americans should be able to exercise without permission.

STUDY: Actual News Is Hard to Find on Today’s Cable ‘News’ | Newsbusters

If you’re looking for actual news on any of the three major cable “news” networks these days, you might be looking in the wrong place. According to a new study by the Media Research Center, less than one-fourth (22.3%) of what is aired on cable news could be classified as old-fashioned hard news — just-the-facts reporting or live as-it-happens coverage of an unfolding event. Instead, nearly 80 percent of what’s on cable news these days consists of talk-show discussion and opinionated commentary by the anchors.

Our analysis also shows that cable news has abandoned a varied news agenda in favor of repetitive discussions of U.S. politics. “Politics” now accounts for more than 60 percent of cable news airtime, while other aspects of U.S. life (crime, health, business, sports, weather, etc.) have been pushed to the margins.

For this report, Media Research Center analysts reviewed a sample of 108 hours of CNN, MSNBC and Fox News Channel programming from February 1 through June 30. The sample consisted of two randomly selected hours of weekday programming from each network for each hour beginning at 6am ET and ending at midnight ET. (More details below.)

Our analysts classified each segment by both type and topic. “Hard news” consisted of reports from a correspondent in the field (11.4%), live coverage of a breaking news event (9.3%), and short news items read by the host or anchor (1.6%). Add it all up, and that’s just 22.3 percent of all cable news airtime (after commercials and teases are excluded).

Put another way, the average hour of cable offers viewers just nine minutes, 15 seconds of hard news, compared to an average of about 18 minutes of commercials. That’s not a lot of hard news for networks that put the word “news” in their name.

Instead of hard news, the largest portion of cable “news” airtime (54.3%) consisted of discussion and analysis among the hosts and/or with a gaggle of pundits: correspondents, contributors or commentators. And that total doesn’t include the 15.6 percent of coverage devoted to interviews with direct participants in news events (such as U.S. government officials, eyewitnesses, etc.). Add it up, and nearly 70 percent of cable news airtime consists of hosts talking with guests — a talk show format.

Another six percent of cable coverage consisted of direct commentary by the host, usually highly-opinionated, most of which (83%) was found during primetime. The remainder (1.9%) were soft feature packages, pre-produced and not about the news of the day.

Most of the traditional hard news we found was during daytime programming (between 6am and 7pm), but it was still a small minority of what viewers saw. During the day, 73.1 percent of airtime was devoted to discussion and commentary, vs. 26.9 percent for hard news. In primetime (between 7pm and midnight), the amount of hard news was almost nonexistent, dropping to a mere 9.3 percent, with more than 90 percent of airtime devoted to guests and commentary.

The differences among the three cable networks were relatively slight, but CNN had the greatest percentage of hard news (28.2%, vs. 71.8% discussion/commentary). MSNBC delivered 20.3 percent hard news vs. 79.7 percent discussion/commentary, while Fox News gave viewers 18.4 percent hard news vs. 81.6 percent discussion/commentary.

U.S. politics was at the top of all three networks’ agendas. On MSNBC, 66.1 percent of their programming focused on politics, compared with 62.0 percent on Fox News and 52.2 percent on CNN. This fixation on politics crowded out other topics. Crime — including the much publicized trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin — amounted to 15 percent of airtime; health news, including COVID-19, garnered just 7.4 percent of cable news airtime. (Note: a discussion of the Biden administration’s handling of COVID-19 would be considered a “political” segment, while a segment talking to doctors about the pandemic would be considered a “health” segment.)

Other former mainstays of traditional news are now almost entirely absent from cable’s airwaves: Foreign news accounted for just 3.7 percent of the coverage; accidents a scant 2.4 percent of airtime; economy and business stories just 1.7 percent; sports and weather just 1.3 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively. Religion garnered just 0.14 percent of all airtime in our sample — a grand total of two segments, both on Fox News.

Eight years ago, the Pew Research Center studied cable news and found that “factual reporting” amounted to a bare majority of CNN’s content (54%), vs. 45 percent of Fox News and a scant 15 percent of MSNBC’s programming, with the rest consisting of “commentary and opinion.” Now, it seems, the other networks have caught up to MSNBC in jettisoning their hard news mission in favor of inundating their audiences with endless political chattering.

Back in 2019, CNN’s media reporter Brian Stelter tried to defend this trend as something that was needed in the age of Trump: “These days, cable news is primarily a 24/7 talk show about politics and other stories. I say politics first, because you know, especially in the past three years, all things Trump has been the focus….Cable news has had to evolve….There’s less of a need for headlines, and more of a need for talk about the news, analysis of the news.”

Now in 2021, in the age of Joe Biden, what used to be “cable news” is still a “24/7 talk show about politics and other stories.” The question is, does anyone really “need” more talk about the news?

Next: The ‘News’ on ABC, CBS, NBC and PBS

Detailed Methodology: For this study, MRC analysts randomly selected two examples of each hour of programming from 6am ET through midnight ET on each of the three main cable networks (CNN, MSNBC and the Fox News Channel) between February 1 through June 30. Thus, we looked at two examples of CNN’s 6am hour, two examples of CNN’s 7am hour, etc. The hours we examined were chosen independently for each network. The 6am hours of CNN, for example, were from March 1 and June 24; those from MSNBC were from February 23 and March 25; and those from Fox News were from May 5 and May 12. When sampling was complete, our analysts had the equivalent of two full days of coverage for each cable network; weekends and holidays were excluded.

This sampling method ensured our study would not be influenced by the news events of any given day, but would broadly represent cable content over a five-month period. Analysts then reviewed each selected hour, noting the time when each segment began and ended, the length of each segment, and classified each segment by type (news, live event, discussion, interview, commentary, etc.) and topic (politics, health, foreign news, crime, etc.). Teases for upcoming topics and commercials were not included in any of the totals. The results were then sorted to determine the total airtime and percentage of airtime devoted to each type of coverage.

According to the Biden regime, 21,000 civilians were evacuated from the Kabul Airport in the last 24 hours.

37 US military flights carrying 12,700 evacuees were airlifted from Kabul on Monday and 57 coalition flights carrying 8,900 civilians were evacuated from Afghanistan.

There are also several private flights leaving from Afghanistan. According to the flight company, the Biden Regime has been nothing but an impediment to their work rescuing Americans in Kabul.

The White House said on Tuesday 58,700 civilians were evacuated from Afghanistan since the operation began.

Now this–

Emerald Robinson from Newsmax on Tuesday said only 4,000 Americans have been evacuated from Afghanistan.  That means there are likely over 10,000 Americans left in the country.  It also means that most of the civilians being evacuated are not American citizens.

The Biden Administration has been purposely vague on this number. Now we know why.
