There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "…truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity–it is simply true and that is the end of it" – Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
Wednesday on FNC’s “Fox News Primetime,” Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) criticized Vice President Kamala Harris on the heels of a report she has involved crisis management in her communications efforts.
Kennedy proposed for Harris to focus on “not saying stupid stuff” and not create crises, instead.
“Well, I don’t think the vice president needs a crisis communications manager, and I don’t think the taxpayers should have to pay for one,” he said. “I think it’s obvious what she needs with respect — she needs to stop saying stupid stuff that she can’t defend. And she and the president need to stop breaking plates.”
“I mean, in the history of ever, I’ve not seen a presidential administration break more plates in the first nine months than this one,” Kennedy continued. “I mean, think about it, Brian. Afghanistan, inflation, defund the police, critical race theory, the border, gas prices, massive debt. And I’m not saying Republicans are perfect. But these people are crazy. And if they would stop acting crazy, they wouldn’t have a crisis, and then they wouldn’t need crisis managers.”
Fox News host Mark Levin said he is worried about the tinges of totalitarianism in America on ‘Fox News Primetime.’
Mark Levin, host of “Life, Liberty & Levin” shared his thoughts Thursday on the worker shortages as a result of vaccine mandates.
MARK LEVIN: Look we have people who are vaccinated, a huge number of people who are vaccinated, almost 80%. We’ve got people who have natural immunity. What percentage of the 20% have natural immunity? The CDC won’t tell us. Go on their website, you can’t find it.
There’s no need for these totalitarian tactics. Nurses, teachers, and others, who’ve put their lives on the line for the last year and a half. I’m telling you tyranny has no bounds … It is absolutely disgusting that this administration lets in illegal aliens willy-nilly. Oh, I have an idea … why don’t the illegal aliens take the nursing positions and the teaching positions, because apparently, they don’t have to be vaccinated.
The framers were so brilliant, they didn’t support democracy, they supported republicanism. That’s why we have a Declaration that talks about inalienable rights. Everything is not about voting, a majority supports this, a majority supports that. Sometimes you gotta do what’s right, and moral, and just. And what’s being done now is not right, moral, or just.
We have spreading herd immunity, that’s a good thing. We have people getting vaccinated, that’s a good thing. The people who are vaccinated do not have to be afraid of people who are not vaccinated. The politicians want us at each other’s throats at all times on everything. They have politicized the science, they have politicized the virus. And I frankly am disgusted with it. I’m disgusted with all the tyranny.
They talk about, ‘We may have a short-term government shutdown sometime in the future.’ You’d think the sky was falling. But if you shut down hospitals and schools, and you shut down the private sector … that’s a righteous thing and so be it … Again, a double standard and I’m personally sick of it.
An endless tsunami of illegal drugs is turning the streets of our major cities into desolate wastelands, and yet our politicians seem powerless to do anything about it. In fact, in some of our biggest cities the politicians actually don’t seem interested in doing anything about it. As I will discuss below, open air drug markets are operating freely right in the heart of New York City at this moment. Dealers and addicts go about their business without the slightest fear that the police will do anything. Meanwhile, the national death toll just continues to rise. An all-time record 93,000 Americans died as a result of a drug overdose last year. That was an increase of nearly 30 percent from the year before, and authorities are already warning that there will be another huge jump when the final numbers for 2021 come in.
Federal law enforcement authorities are trying to do what they can, but they know that they are fighting a losing battle. On Thursday, they announced that they just seized 1.8 million counterfeit pills, but in the big picture that is only a drop in the bucket.
Right now, federal officials are warning that more fake medications are circulating on our streets than we have ever seen before, and a very large proportion of them contain fentanyl. According to the DEA, the number of fentanyl-laced counterfeit pills that they have been able to intercept has risen by almost 430 percent since 2019…
Counterfeit pills are more lethal than ever before. The number of DEA-seized counterfeit pills with fentanyl has jumped nearly 430 percent since 2019. DEA lab testing reveals that 2 out of every 5 pills with fentanyl contain a potentially lethal dose.
This is one of the biggest reasons why vast hordes of mindless addicts now endlessly roam the streets of our major cities like zombies.
“Drug traffickers, both here and abroad, are increasingly using counterfeit pills to package and distribute the poison that illicit fentanyl is,” said Thomas Hodnett, acting special agent in charge of the DEA’s Philadelphia Division. Law enforcement officials say most of the counterfeit pills coming into the United States are produced in Mexico and China.
You see, the truth is that the drug war never actually ended, and it is being won by the Mexican drug cartels and the Chinese.
And thanks to social media, counterfeit pills are now easier to distribute than ever before…
The DEA said the counterfeit pills — made to look like real opioid medications such as oxycodone, Percocet or Adderall — are sold on the street by dealers or online, including through social media platforms.
“If you have a smartphone and you’re sitting on the sofa at home … your drug dealer is right there in your hands,” DEA spokesperson Anne Edgecomb said in an interview with NPR.
Of course dealers are constantly having to search for new customers because so many of their existing customers end up dying.
Fentanyl is extremely potent, and it only takes a couple of milligrams to kill you…
Mexican drug cartels increasingly are manufacturing the pills with fentanyl, which is at least 30 times more potent than heroin and is fatal in doses of as little as two milligrams.
“It’s everywhere,” says Robert Bell, head of the DEA’s Chicago field division. “They’re available in street deals, for purchase online, in schools. It’s very scary.”
This is a major national security crisis, because it is absolutely devastating communities all across the nation.
But as I stated at the top of the article, many of our politicians don’t even seem interested in finding a solution.
The block bordered by 35th and 36th streets, and Seventh and Eighth Avenues, is “littered with used needles, broken glass crack pipes, trash, urine, and feces” as junkies shoot up and dealers brazenly sell drugs, lamented one neighbor on social media. “I’ve personally seen dozens of deals go down. I’ve seen a person OD and nearly die.”
During a single walk around the block last week, The Post witnessed three different people injecting needles in their wrists or fingers in the middle of the afternoon. Each addict sat on the sidewalk or in empty storefronts. Dozens of other junkies sat or lay nearly comatose, many of the men shirtless, on the same block.
But instead of doing something about it, the politicians in New York have apparently told the police “to let junkies roam free”…
The NYPD appears to have only a token presence. Two cops stood on Eighth Avenue between 35th and 36th, leaning up against a police van while staring into their phones, as illicit activities swirled around them.
But cops have been “effectively ordered” by city and state leaders to let junkies roam free, said Manny Gomez, a former NYPD sergeant and FBI special agent who now heads MG Security Services.
Of course whenever you have large numbers of addicts concentrated in one location you are going to see a spike in crime, and that is precisely what we are witnessing in the Garment District…
Crime in the Midtown South Precinct, which includes the Garment District, is up 41 percent this year through Sept. 19 compared to the same period in 2020, according to NYPD crime data.
The most eye-popping spikes are in the number of robberies – which increased 189 percent from 97 to 280 – and felony assaults – which increased 151 percent from 131 to 329.
Sadly, New York is far from alone. For a very long time I have been warning that major cities all over America were being transformed into crime-ridden, drug-infested hellholes, and it is getting worse with each passing year.
It has been estimated that approximately 23 million Americans are addicted to drugs, but nobody knows the real number. It isn’t as if there is any sort of a “drug census” that would give us a more accurate count.
But what we do know is that the problem is bigger than it has ever been in our entire history.
We have raised entire generations of Americans to believe that their only purpose in life is to serve our soulless, corrupt system. Of course millions of people do eagerly get on the hamster wheel and try to grab as much money and stuff as they can because they think that they will eventually achieve fulfillment that way. But millions of others quickly realize that the game is meaningless and they search out other ways to make themselves happy. A lot of drug addicts didn’t start out as bad people, but their search for happiness ended up taking them down some paths that they never should have gone down.
If you are searching for meaning in life, our society doesn’t have any answers for you. Those that run things just want to control and manipulate you as they make themselves even richer and more powerful.
It is imperative that we all learn to think for ourselves, because many of those that don’t learn to think for themselves end up being stuck in their little game for their entire lives.
Laura Hollis: ‘If enough people decide not to comply, they will have a revolution on their hands’
The United States is not just dealing with mutations of COVID-19. Our government and our culture have been infected with mutated strains of collectivism and corporate authoritarianism, already engaged in censorship and moving swiftly toward perpetual surveillance and control over our property, our finances, our health care and our most personal decisions.
And those who are busy cramming authoritarianism down our gullets are simultaneously maintaining the illusion of our meaningful participation in government.
We’re being led to believe that we have some control of our representative government and its policies. Meanwhile, our elected officials make backroom deals and ignore our country’s most urgent concerns. And the integrity of our elections has been eroded to the point where we cannot be sure that all votes are cast by actual citizens and not unlawfully multiplied, manufactured or manipulated electronically.
It’s perhaps obvious that in free nations such as the United States, effective government depends on belief in the integrity of the system and voluntary compliance with its laws. But even the governments of expressly authoritarian regimes endure only at the sufferance of their subjects. If enough people decide not to comply, theywillhave a revolution on their hands.
In fact, the worst human rights abuses recorded in history could not have taken place without the willing participation of citizens. In Hitler’s Third Reich, for example, citizens of Germany and the occupied countries turned on one another. They attacked Jews, stole their property, destroyed their businesses and ratted them out when Nazi authorities were rounding them up by the millions to send to the death camps. Homosexuals, the disabled and Roma (Gypsies) were similarly targeted.
Communist regimes such as the former Soviet Union, China, Cuba, Cambodia and North Korea are notorious for citizen participation. People were (and are) encouraged to turn in their fellow citizens for being “bourgeois,” “capitalist,” “individualist,” “enemies of the state” or other concocted ideological violations.
And turn them in, they did. Millions of human beings lost everything they owned and were sent to concentration camps, often with their entire families, where they were (and are) imprisoned, tortured, starved and murdered.
Perfectly ordinary people subjected their neighbors, co-workers and friends to horrific abuse, deprivation and death because they were willing participants in massive propaganda campaigns. The perpetrators of those campaigns never say, “Attack your neighbors just for fun.” They create rationales, provide justifications and incessantly chant slogans that peoplechooseto believe.
I say “willing” and “choose to” deliberately. There were always those who warned of what would come, who tried to debunk falsehoods, who appealed to their fellow citizens’ better instincts and who implored them to reject the pernicious ideologies espoused by those blaming scapegoats and promising utopia.
In the end, those warnings fell on deaf ears.
Americans love to tell themselves, “That can’t happen here.” On the contrary, itishappening here.
For at least the past 20 years, we have been ensnared in one massive propaganda campaign after another. Yet no matter how many times it’s proven that what we’re being told are lies, millions of Americans still choose to believe the liars.
Who’s peddling the codswallop? First and foremost, our politicians – a robust majority of nationally visible Democrats and Republicans. The entertainment industry. Huge numbers of corporate CEOs. Vast swaths of academia. Most destructively, nearly all of the national media, who betray the American people by actively participating in the propaganda.
The pattern is consistent and immediately recognizable: A statement is made or a position is taken by those in power. It is factually suspicious, if not transparently false, yet no one is permitted to question it. Real scientific inquiry is forbidden. Data that supports the official narrative is falsified, and that which refutes it is suppressed. Scholarly papers are withdrawn from publication. Social media companies censor anyone who tries to present accurate information or alternative theories. Corporations fire outspoken employees. Friends and family shun loved ones who refuse to toe the party line.
Later, the official story is revealed as false, or the forbidden facts are revealed to be true. This is quietly dismissed or ignored.
We’re watching this play out with climate change, transgenderism, the Trump/Russia collusion story, the story of Hunter Biden’s political, financial and sexual exploitation, the suspicious circumstances surrounding the November 2020 election, the Jan. 6 non-“insurrection,” the COVID-19 lab leak theory, the efficacy of drug treatments for the disease, the risks of the experimental vaccines and the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Our government is undertaking massive restructuring of our country and our economy, including catastrophic levels of debt and unconstitutional deprivation of our rights and civil liberties. They are doing this over the objection of a majority of citizens, aided by the ignorance of millions of others. They are using propaganda, deflection and outright lies to turn us against one another and distract us from their machinations.
You probably tell yourself you wouldn’t have helped the Nazis, the Bolsheviks or the Khmer Rouge. You like to think you’re wise to those who would manipulate you.
Are you?
If you’re asked to exclude your fellow citizens from your place of business unless they’re vaccinated, will you do it? If you are asked to fire employees who have had COVID or who have concerns about the vaccines, will you do it? If you are told that you’ll lose your medical license unless you perform abortions, will you do it? If you are asked by the FBI to turn in names of people you think disagree with you politically, will you do it?
You’ve been told that millions of your countrymen – your friends, neighbors and co-workers – are “white supremacists” and “domestic terrorists. ” Do you believe it? Because if youdobelieve that, whatwon’tyou do if asked?
You have a choice to make. Are you going to be a willing pawn in propaganda campaigns conducted by power-mongers, who will come for you, too, eventually, as they always do? Or will you think for yourself, defend free inquiry, demand the truth and help keep this country free?
‘So, when they weren’t injected, their infection rate was 1.3% and when they got injected, it was 4.34%. It went up by over 300%,’ Pfizer ex-employee Karen Kingston stated. ‘They had less infection when they had no protection. So, that’s a problem.’
Dear friends; how can any society survive when moral absolutes are being eradicated EXPONENTIALLY right before our eyes? How can we as a nation survive when individuals who seek to promote morality are hated, scoffed at, and demonized by millions of Americans and by both political parties? The very sobering answer my dear friend is, “It will not! nor will it EVER!” Thus, we now see the final sad state and coming downfall of our once great and highly respected nation as the Day of the Lord is rapidly approaching (Psalm 11:3, Prov. 14:3). Look at the heading picture very well; for that is our nation at this very moment under the destructive American Left. The stage has been set these last thirty years by the demonic American Left and now ALL SYSTEMS are GO! They have absolutely won the day in lawlessness and have defeated American conservatism and its defensive position over these last thirty years. Don’t think so? Then, my dear friend, you are fully deceived and your conservative optimism has blinded you from the EXPONENTIAL REALITIES of our hour and the Day of the Lord will come as a thief and the Day of the Lord as a horrific destructive tsunami (1 Thes. 5:1-4; Rev. 6)! The stage has been set these last thirty years by the demonic American Left and now ALL SYSTEMS are GO! They have absolutely won the day in lawlessness and have defeated American conservatism and its defensive position over these last thirty years.
Tragically, it will be this complete abandonment of moral absolutes that will be America’s final demise and my dear friend we are already there! This nation – due to her abandonment of moral absolutes and the soon coming Rapture of the body of Christ – will finally implode on herself, thus opening the door to the entrance of the Four Horsemen and the dreaded Day of the Lord (Rev. 6-19). My dear friends, it is absolutely crucial for all of Almighty God’s people to keep Almighty God first and His ETERNAL purpose first in such days. My friend, if you are one who knows NOT the Savior please be sure that you personally DO(John 1:12, 3:16-17, 1 John 5:10-13). This world is headed into the final showdown between demonic and human lawlessness verse the ETERNAL RIGHTEOUSNESS of Almighty God; between Lucifer, the fallen angelic creature versus the ETERNAL GOD and CREATOR of ALL (Rev. 16:13-16)! Be sure that you are on your Creator’s side, who loved you and died for your transgressions and to be your propitiation and Savior (John 1:12, 3:16-17, Rom. 10:4, 1 John 4:10).
My dear friends, the Kingdom of Heaven is TRULY at hand!
COVID-19 continues to be the gift that keeps on giving for the democrats.
Don’t even try to convince me that the Biden mob actually wants us to get out of the pandemic because it would interfere with their tyrannical “emergency” powers and voting scams.
King Biden and the rest of his tyrannical democrat friends have decided that everyone WILL COMPLY and get a COVID-19 vaccine.
Never mind that the vaccines aren’t working as advertised.
That’s irrelevant. Get another one.
You are ORDERED to get a vaccine if you want to live a normal life and go to school, go to your favorite restaurant or go to work.
Biden is mandating vaccines in many different ways.
He’s got governors and mayors taking away your rights in blue cities and states.
He’s making federal employees get vaccinated – and contractors who deal with the federal government.
He’s getting his leftist friends who own large companies to mandate vaccines.
And for those companies who don’t want to comply, he’s going to force you to do it through labor laws and OSHA if you have 100 employees or more.
And if he’s missed any of you, don’t worry. He’ll figure out how to get to you too.
He’s figured out enough ways to bribe and threaten millions to get the vaccine – or else.
And all over the country, you are seeing people being fired for not getting COVID-19 vaccines. It doesn’t matter what kind of worker you are because you are a super spreader and must be fired. Some of you won’t even get unemployment money.
Doctors, nurses, teachers, SEALS, border patrol agents… no one is immune from losing their jobs under King Biden.
Religious exemption? Too bad. That means nothing.
Your body, your choice? Sorry. Leftists don’t really care about that sort of thing unless they can use the catch phrase to further more abortions.
Natural immunity? Doesn’t matter.
Vaccines aren’t even working well? Doesn’t matter.
If you refuse the vaccine, you will be F-I-R-E-D.
Unlike Trump who uttered the words “You’re fired!” on his reality show The Apprentice, Biden is not getting people fired for not doing their jobs or not completing tasks. He’s getting them fired for not abiding by his vaccine edicts.
And the courts aren’t helping us either. They could care less about our rights or the constitution – or even science and facts for that matter. Most of the courts currently exist to further the Biden agenda.
65% of people polled in a Convention of States Action/Trafalgar Group survey said they don’t think people should be fired for not taking the COVID-19 vaccine but Biden doesn’t care about that either.
He is currently governing against the will of the people because there is no one to stop him.
So what if we have less cancer doctors, less health care workers in the emergency rooms, less hospital beds, less planes flying around and even more businesses closing?
That’s what “Build Back Better” means. Biden didn’t really mean that he was building anything back better for Americans. And certainly not the ones who disagree with him.
He is clearly just the president of the illegal alien and the freeloading and leftist democrat voters.

As the English would say: I hate to be the one to ‘prick your bubble,’ but…
…That rushed vaccine ain’t working out too well.
According to the most recent data that was released by public health officials in Wales, UK, vaccinated Individuals accounted for a whopping 87% of all new Covid hospitalizations last week – even though 69% of the citizens are considered ‘fully vaccinated.’
The data also revealed that 99% of positive tests were from people under the age of 60 and that 63% of the total were vaccinated.
According to new stats from Public Health Wales:
-99% of people who tested positive for Covid in the past week were under 60 years old
In other words, only 13% of severe cases that required a trip to the hospital were unvaccinated people, which suggests those who have taken the experimental jab are more likely to experience adverse reactions and become hospitalized by Covid-19.
The notion of vaccinated individuals being more susceptible to the virus is nothing new, and has been supported by other credible studies in places like Israel.
These new numbers just serve as more confirmation.
In a desperate attempt to save their crumbling narrative, public health officials in the UK insist that the vaccines have been working effectively and are keeping hospitalizations much lower than they otherwise would be. They have even enlisted their mouthpieces in the media to twist the data so it fits their narrative.
Here are some snippets of their perfectly backwards reporting with some of their lies peppered in for good measure.
Just look at how they spin the top-line numbers:
“A third of people with confirmed Covid cases in Wales in the past week were unvaccinated, according to new figures released by Public Health Wales.
Nearly 13% of hospital patients with confirmed Covid were unvaccinated.“
Even Pravda would be proud.
In outright lie #1, in a desperate attempt to explain the sky-high percentage of hospitalizations among the vaccinated, they claim the percentage of people in Wales that have been vaccinated is much higher than it actually is, even according to their own reporting in the very same article.
This lie is repeated throughout and is even the caption on their headline photo.
The sheer numbers of people vaccinated – nearly 95% of those over 60 and 84% of those under 60 – mean that statistically, double-vaccinated people will still be a significant proportion of hospital patients.
They maliciously bury the much-lower, actual totals of vaccinated individuals in the closing line of the article.
“The total of first doses of vaccine has risen to 2,403,572 (75.8% of the total population) and 2,214,247 (69.9%) have been fully vaccinated.”
They also compare the new numbers that are being compiled from early September (end of summer/beginning of fall) to numbers from the height of the Covid spread last winter in another attempt to claim the vaccines are working.
Despite the number of positive cases being just as high – which they admit – they claim that hospitalizations were 4x higher last winter than they are now – which is a true statement…
…but if you compare these numbers to September of last year, hospitalizations are right about on par with what they were when there was no vaccine.
“Last winter, when Covid cases in the community were similarly high but the vaccine programme had only just started, there were four times as many Covid patients in hospitals in Wales.”
The article even cuts out a huge chunk of vaccinated people from their calculations when they come up with a phony base rate of infection in the community – only 46.7% were considered vaccinated in their equation.
“The hospital admissions rate is 53 per 100,000 of the population in those unvaccinated compared to 32 per 100,000 in those fully vaccinated, in the past month.
Of 19,140 positive tests in the past week, PHW said 33% were among unvaccinated people – that’s 6,321 people. 4.5% had one dose and 41.2% two doses, the rest were unknown.“
You can see they also pull a cheap bait-and-switch when explaining the base rate for hospitalizations – calculating the total number of positive cases instead of hospital visits.
Each lie is accompanied by some version of the phrase, “But, without the vaccine, those hospital numbers might be even higher,” which appears several times throughout the article.
The FBI reported September 27, 2021, that murders across the United States in 2020 rose by 29.4% compared to the previous year. 4,901 more murders were committed in 2020 than in 2019. It’s reportedly one of the largest single-year increases ever recorded since records began in the U.S. in the year 1960. This at a time when police departments across the nation have been vilified, morale is tanking and leftist legislators combined with activist groups are calling for defunding the police. Is it any wonder why the murder rate is seeing a sharp increase?
Joining Jim to address this issue was Michael A. Letts. Michael is the founder and president of In-Vest USA, a national grassroots, non-profit organization that is helping hundreds of communities provide thousands of bullet-proof vests for their police forces through educational, public relations, sponsorship and fundraising programs.
The staggering increase in U.S. murders is bad enough, but Michael began by noting that if you look at the black community, the increase was almost 60%. He noted this is ironic because a lot of it’s been caused by Antifa and Black Lives Matter. In other words, these groups are hurting the very people they claim to be supporting.
Also interesting is that the murder rate is higher in cities with smaller populations between 10,000 and 250,000. Michael believes it’s due to the concerted effort by leftists, Marxists and socialists over the past 15 years to destroy America. They have to do that in order to remove local and state law enforcement as well as our military.
Michael believes that Black Lives Matter riots and protests are just the first stage in destroying our first responders and local law enforcement. This occurred under President Obama where we began to see the vilification of such individuals and to call them racist. At first it backfired when black officers refused to go along with it.
When that didn’t work, they moved next to not funding protective gear, then to defunding police, to creating policies and regulations that would make it difficult for those who protect us to do their jobs, and on to mandated vaccinations.
What Michael discovered is that the FBI and the Justice Department’s own statistics show that within 3 years there will not be enough first responders to answer 9-11 calls. So we’re quickly headed for a time that when you call 9-11, you’ll get a recording asking for your name, number and the nature of your emergency, at which point they’ll tell you they’ll respond as soon as they can.
Don’t local municipalities provide protective gear for law enforcement? In 1993, when Michael started In-Vest USA, 52% of America’s law enforcement officers did not have protective vests. They were able to reduce that to 28%. Keep in mind that concealable vests will only stop a sidearm but won’t stop a rifle round and criminals were beginning to use assault rifles. This means new technology had to be developed utilizing titanium plates to stop rifle rounds. Unfortunately, as of today, 92% of officers around the nation do not have active shooter vests.
Michael’s organization helps raise funds for providing officers with active shooter vests.

Last week Project Veritas released part 1 of their #CovidVaxExposed series.
Jodi O’Malley, a federal whistleblower who works for the Health and Human Services went public with secret recordings revealing the truth about the Covid vaccines.
‘The government doesn’t want to show the COVID vaccine is full of sh*t,’ an ER doctor who works for the HHS said. ‘They want to shove adverse effect reporting ‘under the mat.’
A registered nurse was recorded saying she has seen “a lot” of vaccinated people get sick with side effects but “no one is writing the VAERS report because it takes a half an hour to write the damn thing.”
Joe Biden has imposed a Covid vaccine mandate while knowing that a lot of people are having adverse reactions to them.
On Thursday, it was reported that Jodi O’Malley was placed on administrative leave.

Outward Things Do Not Keep the Soul at Peace Philippians 4:11–13
Frame peace by freeing our hearts from too much fear, and riches by freeing our hearts from covetous desires. Frame a sufficiency out of contentedness. If the soul itself be out of tune, outward things will do no more good than a fair shoe to a gouty foot.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Called by the name of the Lord, we are nevertheless erring men and women. What a mercy it is that our God is ready to forgive! Whenever we sin let us hasten to the mercy seat of our God, seeking pardon.
We are to humble ourselves. Should we not be humbled by the fact that after receiving so much love we yet transgress? O Lord, we bow before Thee in the dust and own our grievous ingratitude. Oh, the infamy of sin! Oh, the sevenfold infamy of it in persons so favored as we have been!
Next, we are to pray for mercy, for cleansing, for deliverance from the power of sin. O Lord, hear us even now, and shut not out our cry.
In this prayer we are to seek the Lord’s face. He has left us because of our faults, and we must entreat Him to return. O Lord, look on us in Thy Son Jesus, and smile upon Thy servants.
With this must go our own turning from evil; God cannot turn to us unless we turn from sin.
Then comes the triple promise of hearing, pardon, and healing. Our Father, grant us these at once, for our Lord Jesus Christ’s sake.
As the body of Christ lovingly nurtures relationships with people in the church and the community around them, it bears witness to Christ’s love in action.
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” Ephesians 4:2
When my husband and I were struggling with a number of unexpected health issues, we discovered just how important our faith community could be. During that difficult period, God blessed us through the love and friendship of our brothers and sisters in Christ (both friends and strangers).
Their help and support remind me of this verse in Ephesians, where Paul exhorts the church to nurture loving relationships through an attitude of humility, gentleness and patience with those around them.
Our family experienced an example of this firsthand. In humble service, people came to our home to do dishes and bring meals. In gentleness, many prayed for and with us. In patience and persistence, many continued to ask how we are and what we need. They stood together with us in our time of struggle and loved us through our difficult circumstances.
As the body of Christ lovingly nurtures relationships with people in the church and the community around them, it bears witness to Christ’s love in action. Being humble, gentle, and patient in love draws people into relationships founded on Christ’s love. As we, the Church, continue to nurture these relationships, God ultimately draws people to a new or deepening relationship with him.
Heavenly Father, You are all-loving. Thank you for teaching us how to love others the way Jesus loves us. Teach us to extend Christlike love to those around us so that we can deepen the relationships we have and ultimately draw people to you. Amen.
Today – Prayerfully consider how you can nurture a relationship with someone in your church, school, workplace or family with an attitude of humble, gentle, and patient love. What is one thing you can do today to show humility, gentleness, or patience?
“for some, to love others as Christ has loved us remains an ideal too far to reach. Therefore let’s start small and bring this task closer to home….love just one person”
True spiritual discernment comes from knowing the mind of Christ. Let me make this quest as practical as possible: if we would know the thoughts of Christ, we should seek to know His motives, for thoughts exist to fulfill motives. Jesus Christ came into the world, “not . . . to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him” (John 3:17 NAB). Thus, if we truly understand the love that motivated Jesus, we will increasingly hear and understand His thoughts.
Or consider Paul’s words, “And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment” (Philippians 1:9). The route to true knowledge and all discernment is to possess abounding love. Let us learn to rest our heads upon Christ’s breast and listen to His heart. For in hearing His heart, we can discern His love for those around us.
Yet I acknowledge that, for some, to love others as Christ has loved us remains an ideal too far to reach. Therefore let’s start small and bring this task closer to home. Rather than attempting to love everyone everywhere, let us reduce the challenge and make our aim to love just one person. Now I do not mean we should stop loving others whom we already love. I mean add just one person to your heart, and release your love to that individual in a more Christlike way.
This person may be a lost neighbor or a backslidden friend; he or she might be a sick acquaintance or an elderly person from church. The individual may be a child in physical or emotional pain. (I am not suggesting you focus on an individual of the opposite sex.) The Lord will lead you. He will put one person on your heart and give you grace to grow in love.
Come to this experiment without seeking to correct him or her, unless they themselves ask for advice. Pray daily for the person. And as you listen to the voice of God’s love, something inside you will flower and open naturally toward other realms of discernment. Inspired by God, impulses and ideas born of love will increase and expand to your other relationships as well. In truth, the knowledge and insights you gain from loving just one will become a natural catalyst in loving many.
Discernment will grow and mature even as you love just one.
Trajan’s Reply to Pliny Matthew 5:10–12; 13:21; Mark 4:17; Luke 8:13; Hebrews 3:12
You have adopted the right course, my dearest Secundus, in investigating the charges against the Christians who were brought before you. It is not possible to lay down any general rule for all such cases. Do not go out of your way to look for them. If indeed they should be brought before you, and the crime is proved, they must be punished; with the restriction, however, that where the party denies he is a Christian, and shall make it evident that he is not, by invoking our gods, let him (notwithstanding any former suspicion) be pardoned upon his repentance. Anonymous informations ought not to be received in any sort of prosecution. It is introducing a very dangerous precedent, and is quite foreign to the spirit of our age.

Vice President Kamala Harris is apparently recognizing how deeply unpopular she is with the American public; reports indicate she has hired two veteran advisers who help craft politicians’ images in order to shore up her image with the American public.
“Lorraine Voles and Adam Frankel, who worked with Harris during the transition, have joined the team and will focus on strategic communications, long-term planning and organizational development, a White House official with knowledge of the matter said,” Reuters reports. The official added, “Their experience has been and will continue to be a valuable resource for our whole team, as we map out long-term planning and fulfill the administration’s ambitious policy agenda.”
“Lorraine Voles, a crisis communications expert, and Adam Frankel, a former Obama speechwriter, worked for Harris during the presidential transition and have extensive experience crafting messages from the White House and the corporate world,” The Washington Examiner reported, adding, “Among the services Voles advertises on her website, ‘crisis management’ and ‘marketing and rebranding’ earn top billing.”
“The hires come amid a sense of anxiety among some Democrats about Harris’s first year as vice president. Many in the party view Harris, who ran an unsuccessful campaign for president, as a leading candidate to take the mantle from the 78-year-old President Biden either in 2024, should he choose not to run for reelection, or in 2028,” The Washington Post reported.
Despite the fact that President Biden had designated Harris to lead the administration’s efforts to deal with the illegal immigrant crisis at the southern border, Harris took until late June to visit the southern border.
The BBC reported, “Critics said Ms. Harris should have visited a tent complex at nearby Fort Bliss, where migrant children are being held. A BBC investigation of the Fort Bliss detention centre found reports of sexual abuse, Covid and lice outbreaks, hungry children being served undercooked meat and sandstorms engulfing the desert tent camps where the young people are being held.”
In mid-August a survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports found that a whopping 55% of respondents felt Harris was not qualified to be president. The national telephone and online survey asked, “How qualified is Kamala Harris to assume the responsibilities of the presidency?”
“Only 43% of Likely U.S. Voters think Harris is qualified to assume the duties of the presidency, including 29% who think she is Very Qualified. That’s down from April, when 49% said Harris was qualified to become president. Now, 55% say Harris is not qualified to assume the duties of the presidency, including 47% who say she is Not At All Qualified,” Rasmussen wrote.
Vice President Kamala Harris has only been in office for six months, but she is already the most unpopular vice president since at least the 1970s, according to recent polls.
The Los Angeles Times on Monday reported that as of July 27, “45% of registered voters had a favorable opinion of Harris and 48% had an unfavorable opinion — a net rating of -3 percentage points, according to a Times average.”
The most recent YouGov tracking poll shows that Harris’ unfavorability rating has hit 49%, while her favorability rating sits at just 45%.
(Natural News) YouTube is targeting several prominent video channels that speak up for families that are injured by vaccines. YouTube took down the channel of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Dr. Joseph Mercola because their videos are too truthful and are slowing vaccination rates across the country. This new wave of YouTube censorship will eliminate hundreds of scientific studies showing how vaccines cause autoimmune issues, allergies, life threatening reactions, infertility, cancer, autism, cardiovascular events and neurodevelopmental disorders. YouTube is being pressured by the federal government to eliminate any information that does not fall in line with the current vaccine dogma.
Families unable to mourn, parents unable to receive adequate informed consent
Google, which owns YouTube, is cracking down on so-called “anti-vaccine” content. From here on out, YouTube can only be used to promote vaccination. Any videos that tell the truth about commonly used vaccines will be removed. No one can question covid-19 vaccines or any other vaccines that are used against benign childhood illnesses like measles or chickenpox.

“The instrument by which it [government] must act are either the AUTHORITY of the laws or FORCE. If the first be destroyed, the last must be substituted; and where this becomes the ordinary instrument of government there is an end to liberty!” —Alexander Hamilton (1794)
Thousands of healthcare workers are out of work due to Governor Hochul’s vaccine mandate.
Thomas Gallatin
“There are not legitimate religious exemptions [to COVID vaccinations] because the leaders of all the organized religions have said there is no legitimate reason,” New York Governor Kathy Hochul declared in defense of her COVID vaccination mandate. “I’m not aware of a sanctioned religious exemption from any organized religion. In fact, they are encouraging the opposite,” she added. “Everybody from the pope on down is encouraging people to get vaccinated.”
When Hochul’s mandate went into effect on Tuesday, thousands of New York healthcare workers who chose for a variety of reasons not to get the vaccine lost their jobs. Ironically, last year’s widely celebrated healthcare “heroes” — celebrated for continuing to go to work facing the possibility of contracting a novel and potentially deadly coronavirus for which at the time treatment was still a gamble — are today’s zeros, at least according to the likes of Governor Hochul. They are expendable, not for any reason regarding their work, but simply because they refuse a vaccine.
Perhaps Hochul views herself as a religious leader. Over the weekend, she went to the church of the “Covidians” and preached a message equating the COVID vaccine with the Gospel:
I’ve prayed a lot to God during this time. And you know what? God did answer our prayers. He made the smartest men and women — the scientists, the doctors, the researchers — He made them come up with a vaccine. That is from God to us. And we must say, “Thank you, God, thank you.” And I wear my vaccinated neckless all the time to say, “I’m vaccinated.”
All of you, yes, I know you’re vaccinated. You’re the smart ones, but you know there’s people out there who aren’t listening to God and what God wants. You know this; you know who they are. I need you to be my apostles. I need you to go out and talk about it and say, “We owe this to each other. We love each other. Jesus taught us to love one another.” And how do you show that love, but to care enough about each other to say, “Please get vaccinated because I love you. I want you to live. I want our kids to be safe when they are in schools. I want you to be safe when you go to a doctor’s office or to a hospital and are treated by somebody. You don’t want to get the virus from them. You’re already sick or you wouldn’t be there.”
We have to solve this my friends. I need every one of you. I need you to let them know that this is how we can fight this pandemic, come back to normal, and then start talking about the real issues that we have to. Fighting systemic racial injustice which exists today, and if there’s a denier I will take you on any day, because I’ve seen it. I know it exists and we’re not going to have a blind eye to this ever again any longer under my [watch].
If you ever wondered if leftism is a religion, wonder no more.
Meanwhile, in an attempt to mitigate the shortage of healthcare workers hospitals and nursing homes in New York are now facing, Hochul signed an emergency order allowing medical personnel from other states and even other countries to come in to help fill the sudden vacancies her vaccination edict created. Furthermore, Hochul has called on the National Guard to help fill gaps, all while she continued to defend her mandate: “Holding firm on the vaccine mandate for healthcare workers is simply the right thing to do to protect our vulnerable family members and loved ones from COVID-19.”
Now, New York hospitals and nursing homes that in many instances already suffered from staffing shortages are now being propelled into an avoidable crisis, thanks entirely to Hochul’s unnecessary vaccine mandate. We call it unnecessary because some 92% the state’s hospital and nursing home staff have already been vaccinated. President of Albany Medical Center hospital Dr. McKenna lamented, “It truly is a crisis; there’s no two ways about that.” More than 200 of his hospital’s 11,000 employees were suspended without pay on Tuesday over their refusal of the vaccine.
But New York is not the only place healthcare workers are being laid off for refusing the COVID vaccine. Personnel in many other states have been similarly terminated. Representing some 190 healthcare workers fired in Minnesota, attorney Greg Erickson contended: “You’re talking about people who held the hand of people dying of COVID. These folks risked their lives to help these patients and now they’re being terminated because their religious beliefs won’t allow them to take the vaccine? It’s really sad.”
The fact of the matter is, Hochul and other vax apostles are acting like religious zealots for whom the ultimate sin is refusing the vaccine. Furthermore, these “Covidians” presume to speak for all religions in declaring that no one can appeal to their faith or conscience as a rationale for objecting to the novel vaccine. The irony here is that it was some pro-vaxxers who made the issue about religion in the first place, asserting that the loving thing to do was to get the vaccine, as if there were no other option. Is it any wonder that people, both religious and nonreligious, have pushed back against these vaccine tyrants?
All the same, the standoff between Democrat factions is rather amusing.

Congressional Democrats are trying to do several things with your money in the next few hours and days — keep the government from shutting down, raise the debt ceiling, pass a $1 trillion “infrastructure” bill, and muscle through a massive socialist grab bag under the reconciliation process. You know, the $5 trillion plan that Democrats had been deceitfully saying costs $3.5 trillion until Joe Biden came up with the novel idea of insisting it actually costs “zero dollars.”
Let’s start with the shutdown. “With so many critical issues to address,” says Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, “the last thing the American people need right now is a government shutdown.” Because the government has done such a swell job addressing creating those critical issues.
The truth is that most Americans wouldn’t even notice a government shutdown outside of a few hysterical news reports that it had happened. But never fear, fellow citizen: Both chambers of Congress will pass a continuing resolution today that will prevent a shutdown tonight at midnight and fund the government through December 3.
Last night, the House also passed a measure to suspend the debt ceiling until December 17, 2022. The vote was 219-212, with two Democrats and one Republican (Adam Kinzinger of Illinois) defecting their respective sides. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has so far forced the Senate to reach 60 votes on the debt ceiling, yet no Republican plans to vote to raise it. That’s a quandary for Schumer. The U.S. will default on nearly $29 trillion in debt three weeks from now without action.
Meanwhile, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi still hopes to vote on the “infrastructure” plan that’s more like 10% infrastructure and 90% leftist wish list. She may hold that vote today, or she may not. The problem for Pelosi isn’t Republicans. In fact, several GOP members may vote for it; 19 of them did in the Senate already. Pelosi’s problem is with her left wing, which wants to hold “infrastructure” hostage to the bigger socialist bill. And their problem is Senators Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema, two Democrats who have consistently balked at the price tag of that bigger bill.
Maybe they just don’t realize it’s “zero dollars.”
“We obviously didn’t envision having Republicans as part of our party,” groused Minnesota Representative and “Squad” member Ilhan Omar. Balking at full-bore socialism doesn’t make one a Republican.
Still, Manchin (D-WV, Trump by 39 points) described the Democrats’ spending plan as “fiscal insanity.” He noted, “We can’t even pay for the essential social programs, like Social Security and Medicare,” yet here Democrats are piling on new entitlements and expanding old ones. This irresponsibility, he says, “ignores the everyday reality that America’s families continue to pay an unavoidable inflation tax.” Manchin concluded, “I cannot — and will not — support trillions in spending or an all or nothing approach that ignores the brutal fiscal reality our nation faces.”
Lest you think Manchin is on the verge of switching parties, he too wants to ignore fiscal reality. “I want to do a tax overhaul,” he says, because “the 2017 tax cuts are unfair and weighted toward the high end.” Actually, nearly all Americans who pay an income tax got a cut in 2017. After raising your taxes, then Manchin will discuss spending your money.
In short, Joe Biden’s agenda — and perhaps his presidency — rides on some pretty major disagreements among Democrats. To put it mildly, Biden isn’t exactly a competent leader either. Which in this case might be a really good thing for the country.
This Marine knew the outcome and is now bearing those consequences.

Front and center with congressional testimony this week were the inept trio of military “leaders” who are, without question, guilty of dereliction of duty regarding Joe Biden’s disastrous surrender and retreat from Afghanistan. They are Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Joint Chiefs Chairman General Mark Milley, and head of U.S. Central Command General Kenneth McKenzie.
Of course, it is Biden who should bear the full burden of that decision and its consequences, including the rise of the Taliban and its agents of destruction, the al-Qa’ida terrorist network — and the reign of terror now besieging Afghan men, women, and children, which will eventually emerge to strike Western targets again. But there will be no accountability and consequences for Biden. Just as there will be no accountability and consequences for his politically motivated retaliatory strike against that “high-value target” in Kabul — which turned out to be nothing more than a deadly strike on a group of innocent civilians.
Prior to the murder of our military Patriots in Kabul, our national security analyst General B.B. Bell (USA, Ret.) strongly condemned Biden’s disgraceful surrender and retreat. Bell noted Biden’s “shameful presidential dereliction of duty” and declared emphatically that not only should Biden’s military leaders resign, but that “he should be impeached and removed from office immediately, and criminal charges should be considered.”
Of course, neither SecDef Austin nor CJCS Gen. Milley nor Gen. McKenzie will demonstrate the honor and integrity to resign, and Biden’s spokesperson Jen Psaki has confirmed Biden will fire nobody.
But in the wake of the attack killing 13 military personnel (the first deaths in 18 moths) and more than 155 Afghan civilian men, women, and children, one distinguished active-duty combat-hardened Marine officer called out his failed leadership, understanding that in doing so, it would end his career.
In a public video posted on social media the day after the attack against our military personnel, Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, commander of the Advanced Infantry Training Battalion at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, demanded accountability from his chain of command. He understood clearly that demanding that accountability for the fiasco in Afghanistan would come with heavy consequences.
After being ordered to “refrain from posting any and all material, in any form without exception, to any social media” until the consequences of his actions could be adjudicated, Scheller defied those orders and issued another video in uniform, explaining his circumstances. He indicated he would seek charges against Gen. McKenzie for dereliction of duty.
Predictably, that defiance landed him in the brig.
According to the Marine Corps: “Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller Jr. is currently in pre-trial confinement in the Regional Brig for Marine Corps Installations East aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune pending an Article 32 preliminary hearing. The time, date, and location of the proceedings have not been determined. Lt. Col. Scheller will be afforded all due process.”
Scheller will likely stand trial before a UCMJ military tribunal on charges of Article 88: Contempt toward officials; Article 90: Willfully disobeying superior commissioned officer; Article 92: Failure to obey an order; and Article 133: Conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman. It is likely now this will result in a court-martial based on the evidence presented on the other charges.
This was both a predictable and an inevitable outcome, particularly given that Scheller’s public videos were made in uniform. He knew when he broke silence again that he would be arrested. He asked his command, “Please have the MPs waiting for me at 0800 on Monday. I’m ready for jail.”
So, what Scheller has accomplished is an assurance that Biden’s AFG debacle and his failed leadership will stay in the news cycle a bit longer — at the expense of his career, and maybe much more.
Finally, and frankly, I have watched and read all of Scheller’s public remarks, and I am left with a sense that, despite his clear and justified demands and honorable intentions, he is suffering a degree of stress affliction that precedes his actions. There is a discontinuity in his communications, maybe an element associated with PTSD, that I find concerning for him personally — a subtle discontinuity that will be imperceptible by the MSM talkingheads and many of those heralding him as a hero.
What we can best do for Stu Scheller at this point is what he and his parents have asked: Pray for him, his wife, and their children.
While the White House did damage control, GOP House members pressed Joint Chiefs Chairman Mark Milley for answers.

Whenever a leftist complains that he was “taken out of context,” you know you’ve got the goods on him.
Such was the case yesterday, when White House flacks tried to say Joe Biden didn’t lie when ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos challenged him last month: “Your top military advisers warned against withdrawing on this timeline. They wanted you to keep 2,500 troops.”
“No, they didn’t,” replied Biden. “That wasn’t true.”
It was true, though, and all three of Biden’s senior-most military advisers confirmed it Tuesday during testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee, and again yesterday before the House Armed Services Committee. And no amount of pathetic spin from the White House can make it otherwise. But Mike Gwin, the Biden White House’s “rapid response director,” has spent much of the last two days trying to do just that. He whines that the Republicans are being “intentionally obtuse” by focusing on the clear-cut exchange above rather than the utter irrelevancy of whether keeping 2,500 additional troops in Afghanistan to better secure our withdrawal would’ve ruffled the Taliban’s turbans.
Memo to Mike: When your defense of the president’s mendacity rests on your opponents’ intentional obtuseness, it might be time to find another gig.
White House Press Secretary and paid liar Jen Psaki tried to claim that there “was a range of viewpoints,” but all of Biden’s top advisers — Central Command leader Kenneth McKenzie, Joint Chiefs Chair and Princeton graduate Mark Milley, and Afghanistan forces commander Scottie Miller — all recommended keeping around 2,500 troops. That was Donald Trump’s plan, and it was contingent on the Taliban meeting some specified conditions. Perhaps Biden and his handlers, in their reflexive need to disavow and dismantle everything Trump did, determined that keeping a residual force of 2,500 troops was therefore not an option. But that’s what Biden’s top advisers proposed. In any case, 2,500 troops is 2,500 troops, so we’re not sure the word “range” means what Jen Psaki thinks it means.
Enough about lies, though. Let’s just agree to agree that Joe Biden lied.
As for yesterday’s House testimony, GOP members did their homework, and that made for some fascinating exchanges. Tennessee Congressman Scott DesJarlais, for example, zeroed in on Milley’s phone call with Nancy Pelosi during the waning days of the Trump administration, and how bookseller Bob Woodward portrayed them.
“You know he’s crazy. He’s been crazy for a long time,” sputtered Crazy Nancy regarding Trump. To which Milley apparently replied, “Madam Speaker, I agree with you on everything.”
DesJarlais asked: “If you’re the principal adviser to the president and she said that to you, do you think that you were doing service to a president by agreeing with the speaker that your commander-in-chief is crazy?”
After a mealy-mouthed reply from the “apolitical” Milley, DesJarlais pivoted from the general’s seeming obsession with Trump’s mental health to his lack of same for Biden, and he “told” Milley a helluva question:
Have you had any conversation with the speaker or any of our foreign leaders about our current president’s mental capacity? We have a physician right here on the panel [Texas Congressman and former Navy rear admiral Ronny Jackson] who was the personal physician to the prior three presidents who said President Biden should take a mental competency test. We see it in the press. His lack of ability to answer questions. Have you had any conversations with anybody concerning his ability to carry out a nuclear order or any other serious engagements?
Milley replied, “I’m not qualified to evaluate a president’s mental health or your mental health or anybody’s mental health.” And yet he’d done just that regarding Donald Trump.
From the other side of the aisle, Rhode Island Demo Congressman James Langevin asked Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin why the U.S. had failed to rescue American citizens and applicants for or holders of Special Immigrant Visas, mostly Afghans who assisted us during the 20-year war. “On the issue of why we didn’t bring out civilians and SIVs sooner,” replied Austin, “again, the call on how to do that and when to do it is really a State Department call.” Thus, Austin tried to shift some blame to Secretary of State Antony Blinken — which is probably right where it belongs.
Finally, soon-to-be former GOP Congresswoman Liz Cheney disgraced herself by apologizing for her “despicable” Republican colleagues — those who had the gall to exercise their constitutional oversight and question Milley about both his affinity for Nancy Pelosi and his efforts to undermine President Trump. “I want to apologize for those members of this committee who have done so,” she said, “and I want to thank you for standing in the breach when so many, including many in this room, failed to do so.”
As for Austin and Milley, they’re still serving at the pleasure of this president.
Ships are sitting in Southern California just waiting to be unloaded.
Lewis Morris
This is not the year to wait until the last minute to do your Christmas shopping, even if you’re among the growing number of people who embrace the convenience of doing it all online. America is suffering from a major supply-chain problem that is only expected to get worse as we head into the last quarter of the year. The response to the pandemic threw us into an economic and manufacturing tailspin from which we have yet to emerge. But why does the shipping problem persist?
There are a few factors at work. One is the volume of goods we are importing from overseas, and by overseas, we’re talking about our consumer overlords in China. In pre-COVID times, the West Coast ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles handled the bulk of our Asian imports effectively. However, the slow return to pre-pandemic manufacturing and shipping levels has forced a major bottleneck as manufacturers and retailers attempt to tackle the yearlong backlog of orders. Also, since the early pandemic lockdowns, consumers are doing more of their shopping online, foregoing trips to brick-and-mortar locations in favor of having goods shipped directly to them.
The bottleneck at Long Beach has reached epic proportions. A veritable flotilla is anchored off the Southern California coast, with 73 ships currently waiting their turn for access. The average wait time for offloading after a ship reaches American waters runs about three weeks. Pre-pandemic, it was a rarity to see more than one or two ships anchored offshore at one time.
Part of the problem is with the hours that these California ports keep. While several major ports around the country and around the world run on a 24-hour schedule, the ports at Long Beach and Los Angeles are closed nights and Sundays. In these extraordinary times, it might be worthwhile to revisit that schedule, at least temporarily.
Another issue is the labor shortage. Companies are eagerly seeking truck drivers, warehouse hands, forklift operators, inventory managers, anybody who can help move the goods.
Mario Cordero, the executive director of the Port of Long Beach, predicted a crisis earlier this week, saying that everyone needs to come to grips with the fact that the supply chain is significantly disrupted, and it will be into 2022.
Southern California is the gateway to America for Asian goods. Last year, Long Beach and Los Angeles ports handled 8.8 million loaded import containers. The nation’s next busiest ports in New York and New Jersey handled less than half that amount. Most other ports on the West Coast can’t handle the volume of SoCal, but that may have to change. The holiday season in the United States will soon be upon us. And after that comes the Chinese New Year in February, which will also extend our import woes.
It’s a bitter pill to swallow, or at least it should be, that a Chinese holiday is disrupting the American supply chain. Some would say that’s what globalization looks like. But this is about more than that. China is responsible for the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Beijing has yet to be held to account for it. The breakdown and continued disruption of our supply chain was a direct result of China’s actions, or lack of them.
While it’s fair to blame China for the current global supply-chain disruptions, it’s ultimately America’s fault that we’re so beholden to foreign manufacturers for our goods. This is doubly true when our principal trading partner is a totalitarian state that seeks to push its influence across the world.
We’re also to blame as consumers. Our culture taught us to seek goods endlessly. Either for the sake of economy or convenience, we became hooked on cheap goods. The Chinese excel at making cheap goods, thanks in large part to their lax manufacturing rules and their use of slave labor.
We’re also impatient. Goods are shipped fast in part because there are fewer warehouses to hold goods anymore. Businesses follow just-in-time inventory practices. By keeping only a few days’ supply of given items, they cut their overhead with less warehouse space, lower maintenance costs, and fewer workers. In an economy run by computers that keep track of where everything is all the time with little effort, that’s great. But once the system breaks down, you end up with what we have now: waiting three weeks for a pair of socks.
Or buy American. And make American. And sell American.
Trump was right: No post-Cold War president was tougher on Russia, and certainly not Biden.
Thomas Gallatin
No post-Cold War president was tougher on Russia than Donald Trump, which even the Leftmedia has eventually admitted — albeit quietly because it so loudly pushed the bogus Trump-Russia collusion hoax.
A prime example comes from NPR’s Scott Horsley, who back in mid-2018 conceded that Trump’s claim “‘there’s never been a president as tough on Russia as I have been’ … might sound like hyperbole, but in this case, there’s actually some basis for the president’s boast.” Horsley went on to list several ways in which Trump actively and aggressively countered Vladimir Putin’s ambitions, including raising U.S. funding for the European Deterrence Initiative by 41% from spending under Barack Obama. Trump also countered Russia’s efforts to expand its gas and oil exports into Europe by sanctioning the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. Horsley’s news was promptly ignored by a media bent on defeating Trump at all costs.
Earlier this year, veteran political analyst Byron York also listed a litany of examples, given to him by a Republican lawmaker in 2018, of how Trump got tough on Russia: “1) Bombed Syria, Russia’s main client, and unleashed the U.S. military in Syria, including against Russians; 2) Armed Ukraine; 3) Weakened the Iran nuclear deal, and would likely soon end it [which Trump later did]; 4) Browbeat NATO allies to increase defense spending; 5) Approved $130 billion in new defense spending; 6) Added low-yield nukes to the U.S. arsenal; 7) Started research and development on a new missile after Russia deployed a missile that did not comply with the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty; 8) Shut down Russia’s consulate in San Francisco; and 9) Pumped more U.S. oil and gas, making the U.S. more energy independent.”
Meanwhile, Joe “Tough Guy” Biden, who promised he would make Putin “pay a price” for having interfered in the 2016 election, has hardly been tough on Moscow. In fact, compared to Trump’s actions, one could make the argument that Biden is Putin’s pussycat. Rather than acting tough, Biden has sought to take the egg-shell walk with Putin, dropping Trump’s Nord Stream 2 sanctions even as he killed the U.S. Keystone XL Pipeline. In other words, not only has Biden made the U.S. less energy independent, he has increased Europe’s dependence on Russia.
When addressing the UN last week, Biden never even mentioned Russia, and now we come to find out the likely reason — the Biden administration wanted to use Russian bases in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan as part of an “over-the-horizon” plan to counter terrorism in Afghanistan. “The problem with stationing U.S. forces on Russian military bases in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan,” notes political analyst Jim Geraghty, “is that it would make U.S. counterterrorism operations in the region dependent upon Russian cooperation. Vladimir Putin or his successor would be able to pull the plug at any time, giving him enormous leverage over America’s ability to respond to terrorist threats in Afghanistan and the surrounding region. Running U.S. counterterrorism operations from Russian bases also seems like a really good way to ensure that Russian intelligence knows everything that the U.S. is doing on those bases.”
So much for making Putin “pay a price.” Indeed, it now appears that the U.S. will be quite literally paying a price for use of Russia’s military bases, thanks entirely to Biden’s Afghanistan retreat and surrender. There may be no one laughing harder right now than Putin.
The president’s border malfeasance is just one of the issues causing Hispanics to reconsider their political allegiance.
Douglas Andrews
Not to be out-outraged by everyone else in America, Hispanics have begun to register their deep dissatisfaction with President Joe Biden. In a recent Quinnipiac poll of Hispanic Texans, Biden is way underwater, with just 37% approving of the job he’s doing while 55% disapprove. Ouch.
“Keep on calling us ‘Latinx,’ guys,” quips political strategist Giancarlo Sopo. “It’s really working!”
Indeed, he’s done a heckuva job, that Bidex. One wonders, though: What’s with the 37% that actually approves of the wreckage this wrecker has wrought? Who knew there were that many Hispanic transgender teachers union members in the Lone Star State?
Where Hispanics are concerned, Biden’s border policy — if it can be called that — is clearly more to blame for his unpopularity than anything else. How do we know? That same Quinnipiac poll found just 25% approve of his handling of the border crisis, while 66% disapprove. (The other 9% are likely afraid of being snooped on by Big Tech, then ratted out to Biden’s IRS for an audit.) Those numbers should chill leftists to the bone — especially those like Robert Francis O’Rourke, who dream of one day turning Texas brown enough to turn it blue. As Sopo astutely observes, “Contrary to myths peddled by liberal commentators, Hispanics oppose open borders.”
Heck, even Barack Obama now concedes that open borders are “unsustainable.” Even if the hacks at ABC want to censor that particular remark. As for which president had the better immigration policy, there’s no serious debate among the American people: Donald Trump.
Why might Hispanic Americans oppose open borders? For the same reasons that all other races and ethnicities oppose them. If they’re American citizens, they were either born here or they came to this country legally. Whether their parents, or their grandparents, or their great-grandparents came here for economic opportunity or to escape the endemic crime and kleptocracy of their native lands, they have a stake in the future of this nation just like all other American citizens. And they can’t be pleased by what they’re seeing along the Rio Grande. Hispanics also know their history, and they’ve seen the damage Bolivarian socialism can do. For Joe Biden and his fellow Democrats to assume that these Americans want to see more brown people streaming across the border simply because of their brownness is, well, a racist assumption.
In a recent Miami Herald op-ed, Danielle Alvarez, communications director of the Republican National Committee, dug more deeply into the Hispanic community’s growing uneasiness with Biden, which goes well beyond his patronizing behavior, well beyond patronizingly playing “Despacito” at a rally. She writes:
We need leaders who will provide tangible solutions that will help our families and businesses thrive as they did during the Trump Administration. In merely 8 months, Biden has stifled the economic recovery he inherited and reversed policies that were helping Hispanic Americans. His failed leadership is evident to all. He has enabled policies that have sent our cost-of-living skyrocketing. He has failed to shut down COVID. And he has failed to secure our borders.
Abroad, Biden’s total lack of leadership also undermines the cause of freedom around the world – look no further than 90 miles off our coast. … He did not pledge unwavering support to Cubans. Instead, he failed to continue the Trump administration’s hardline policy toward the Castro regime. Not surprising, since Biden’s Democrat Party welcomes socialists and socialist policies.
Alvarez, whose parents fled Communist Cuba, concludes: “These authoritarian decrees, socialist policies, and failed decisions are not what Hispanic Americans believe in. We choose freedom, not socialism. We want security and opportunity. We believe in hard work, and we value family and faith — not its destruction.”
Here, we’re reminded of the conversion story told by former New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez at the 2012 Republican National Convention. Martinez, a lifelong Democrat, had joined a couple of Republican acquaintances for dinner and, after discussing matters ranging from taxes to welfare to the size of government, looked over at her husband and said, “I’ll be damned. We’re Republicans.”

Dr. Fauci, call your office! “I’ve had COVID in the past. Our understanding of antibodies, of natural immunity, has changed a great deal from the onset of the pandemic. And it’s still evolving. But with me having COVID in the past and having antibodies, with my current age group and physical fitness level, it’s not necessarily a fear of mine.
