October 29 Evening Quotes of The Day

What Did He Bless?
Matthew 26:26; Mark 14:22; Luke 22:19; 24:30

He took bread and blessed; and yet what blessed he? The Scripture says not that Christ took bread and blessed it, or that he blessed the bread which he had taken. Therefore it seems more that he blessed his disciples and apostles, whom he had ordained witnesses of his passion, and in them he left his blessed word, which is the bread of life.… It seems more that he blessed his disciples, and also his apostles, in whom the bread of life was left more than in material bread; for the material bread has an end.

The Upright Soul Remains Constant
Matthew 10:33; Luke 12:9; 1 Corinthians 15:58; Colossians 1:23; 2 Timothy 2:12–13; Hebrews 3:14; 1 Peter 5:9; 2 Peter 3:17

The upright soul is constant in his profession, and does not change his behavior according to his companions. Oh that I might never, through shame or fear, disown him who has already acknowledged me!

October 29 – Is anyone among you suffering? — Reformed Perspective

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises – James 5:13

Scripture reading: James 5:13-15

In life, our emotions are often up and down. In both cases James encourages us to go to the Lord; to pray when we are suffering and to sing praises to God when things are going well. For only the Lord can truly alleviate our suffering. When things are going well, it is a gift from our Lord, for every good and perfect gift is from our heavenly Father.

At times it is hard to pray when things are very disturbing. Therefore our heavenly Father has given us leaders, elders, and pastors to help in these areas so that when we are sick or struggling we can call the elders or pastor to pray with us. The oil that James talks about represents being set apart for the Lord. So the elder who comes to pray is also to encourage the sick saint to know that they are set apart for the Lord, and that despite the illness or struggle they are having, they are right with the Lord.

Telling us that the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick emphasizes that when the elder comes in faith as an under-shepherd of the Lord Jesus Christ, we are to see that his prayer has meaning to help the sick person first of all in his/her relationship with God. The elder’s prayer is to help the sick saint to know that he/she is well with the Lord despite their sickness, and if they have sinned, he/she is forgiven through the finished work of Jesus Christ.

Suggestions for prayer

That we would see the need to pray when we are suffering and sing praises to the Lord when we are cheerful and seek the help of the elders when this is hard.

The Unfailing Watch — VCY America

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. (Psalm 121:4)

Jehovah is “the Keeper of Israel.” No form of unconsciousness ever steals over Him, neither the deeper slumber nor the slighter sleep. He never fails to watch the house and the heart of His people. This is a sufficient reason for our resting in perfect peace. Alexander said that he slept because his friend Parmenio watched; much more may we sleep because our God is our guard.

“Behold” is here set up to call our attention to the cheering truth. Israel, when he had a stone for his pillow, fell asleep; but His God was awake and came in vision to His servant. When we lie defenseless, Jehovah Himself will cover our head.

The Lord keeps His people as a rich man keeps his treasure, as a captain keeps a city with a garrison, as a sentry keeps watch over his sovereign. None can harm those who are in such keeping. Let me put my soul into His dear hands. He never forgets us, never ceases actively to care for us, never finds Himself unable to preserve us.

O my Lord, keep me, lest I wander and fall and perish. Keep me, that I may keep Thy commandments. By Thine unslumbering care prevent my sleeping like the sluggard and perishing like those who sleep the sleep of death.

Cheer Up; He Has Overcome — Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God

In times of difficulty, testing and even persecution you can experience supernatural peace of heart and mind. Learn more.

I have told you all this so that you will have peace of heart and mind. Here on earth you will have many sorrows and trials; but cheer up, for I have overcome the world” John 16:33

I know of few promises in all the Word of God that offer more assurance and encouragement than this one.

The apostle Paul was an aggressive soldier of God who carried the gospel far and wide throughout the known world. He was greatly used of God to expand the territorial borders of Christendom. All that Paul did, he did in the name of Christ and through the power and control of the Holy Spirit.

But there was great opposition to Paul’s ministry. Consequently, he always seemed to be in the center of spiritual warfare. He knew his enemies, Satan and the world system, and their subtle, deceiving devices.

Throughout his Christian life, he suffered various kinds of persecutions, including stonings, beatings and imprisonment. In spite of such harsh persecution, Paul could write,

Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say, rejoice”  Philippians 4:4

It was during Paul’s imprisonment in Rome, about 61 or 62 A.D., that he wrote to the church at Ephesus. The theme of his letter is supernatural living, and he talks about the Christian’s spiritual warfare. He tells us that the battle we fight is against Satan and the spiritual forces of wickedness, not against other people.

The apostle Paul experienced the supernatural peace of heart and mind which Jesus promised, a promise which we too can claim, in times of difficulty, testing and even persecution.

Bible Reading: John 16:25-32 (scroll down)

Today I will claim the peace of heart and mind which Jesus promised to all who trust and obey Him. Deliberately and faithfully I will seek to put on the whole armor of God so that I will be fully prepared to withstand the wiles of the enemy and thus live a supernatural life for the glory of God.

John 16:25-32  New International Version

25 “Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father. 26 In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. 27 No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. 28 I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”

29 Then Jesus’ disciples said, “Now you are speaking clearly and without figures of speech. 30 Now we can see that you know all things and that you do not even need to have anyone ask you questions. This makes us believe that you came from God.”

31 “Do you now believe?” Jesus replied. 32 “A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.

It’s Never Too Late — Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God

Who said life is meant to be easy? You can certainly live without the things you want, provided that’s the place you want to be. If not, it hurts. It’s not easy.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Sometimes things don’t turn out the way we think. Maybe the doctor gave you a negative report, or it appears you’re past the age of having the family you’ve longed to have. Or you’re still waiting for Mr. or Mrs. Right. Maybe you had it all, and you lost it all. And now you don’t appear as youthful as you used to and you’re back to ground zero.

Maybe it’s a family situation where the happy bells don’t ring all the time and things are not as they used to be. It’s dysfunctional. For the bell to ring, you need to pull on the right string. That’s when it can feel hard to accomplish. In time, it can even become overwhelming. I know.

Who said life is meant to be easy? You can certainly live without the things you want, provided that’s the place you want to be. If not, it hurts. It’s not easy.

Where is God when all this happens to you? When it feels like it’s too late for his promises to still work in your life? What can you stand on then?

Believe that God is at work. Trust him and have faith. Be still. Take a breather. Feel the peace.

God is with you in the midst of everything. He sees you just the way you are. God cares and has a great plan for your life. He loves you deeply. Scripture says in this world you will have trouble John 16:33. But you can have hope because God has given you Jesus – his best gift ever!

Dear God, please strengthen my heart and fill me with peace while you work on my circumstances. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Give yourself a gift today — the peace of Jesus. Carve out fifteen minutes to be still and breathe as you pray the prayer in this devotional.

October 29 Afternoon Quotes of The Day

George Whitefield’s Conversion
Matthew 11:28–30; Romans 6:6

I found and felt in myself, that I was delivered from the burden that had so heavily oppressed me. The spirit of mourning was taken from me, and I knew what it was truly to rejoice in God my Saviour. For some time I could not avoid singing psalms wherever I was; but my joy became gradually more settled. Thus were the days of my mourning ended: after a long night of desertion and temptation, the star, which I had seen at a distance before, began to appear again: the day-star arose in my heart.

Accepting Those Who Love Jesus Sincerely
John 17:20–23; Romans 14:19

If I see a man who loves the Lord Jesus in sincerity, I am not very solicitous to what outward communion he belongs. The kingdom of God, I think, does not consist in any such thing.

John MacArthur Calls Pastors Who Plagiarize Sermons ‘Frauds,’ ‘Lazy,’ ‘Incompetent,’ ‘Unsanctified’ — ChurchLeaders

Youtube: The Master’s Seminary

John MacArthur, author and longtime pastor of Grace Community Church (GCC) in Sun Valley, California, was asked this week to weigh in on pastors who plagiarize sermons.

Pastoral plagiarism has been a growing concern among many church leaders, as the Southern Baptist Convention’s president Ed Litton was recently accused of plagiarizing multiple sermons. These accusations resulted in Litton deleting over 100 sermons that had previously been posted online.

In a clip posted by Grace to You’s executive director, Phil Johnson, MacArthur was asked during The Master’s Seminary Day 2021 why it is that pastors plagiarize.

“The intersection of pastoral integrity and the confidence in the Bible leads to expository preaching,” Austin T. Duncan said. “But what we’re seeing now, in a failure in pastoral integrity and a misfire in preaching, is the issue of plagiarism — that high level pastors are being accused of using someone else’s sermons.”

RELATED: Ed Litton Plagiarism? New SBC President’s Church Deletes Over 100 Sermons After Accusations

Duncan then asked the 82-year-old MacArthur where he gets his sermons from. MacArthur replied jokingly, “That’s why you want to come to the Master’s Seminary, because we will teach you how to get your own sermons.”

Duncan asked, “Why does a pastor plagiarize — why does he use someone else’s sermon — why does that happen?” MacArthur didn’t mince words, saying it’s because “he’s lazy and incompetent — and unsanctified.”

Expanding on his answer, MacArthur said, “I think you become a showman at that point —you’re an actor. You’re playing a part. You’re playing a role.”

MacArthur then stressed the importance of pastors studying the text for themselves. “The thing that expository preaching does that is apart from the congregation is it sanctifies the pastor. The relentless study of the word of God is how God sanctifies and protects the pastor. When you’re just opening your iPad and reading somebody else’s sermon, you’ve never been exposed to the sanctifying work of the Word.”

“Every time I study the Bible, I see the genius of the divine mind. How everything perfectly connects — that is an exhilarating, worshiping experience. I’ve worshiped long hours ever before I get to Sunday morning.” – John MacArthur

The Wall Street Journal has obtained and reviewed two dozen classified US intelligence assessments on Afghanistan from four different agencies including the CIA, DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency), the State Dept.’s intelligence bureau, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). Soaring Oil Prices Could Cripple The Global EconomyPosted: 29 Oct 2021 07:30 AM PDT(OPINION) If you haven’t been paying attention, you will want to start watching the price of oil again. IN TODAY’S DIGEST

FEATURED ANALYSIS

Joe Biden’s Appalling Payout to Illegals

Our “open borders” president is poised to pay huge sums of money to hundreds of illegal immigrant families.

Douglas Andrews

When news broke yesterday that the Biden administration is in discussions to lavishly compensate certain Trump-era illegal immigrants for their troubles at the border, Texas Congressman Dan Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL who sacrificed his right eye for this nation, made a powerful point:

“Biden wants to pay illegal immigrants $450,000 for their hardship while breaking our laws,” he said. “For perspective, if a service member is killed in action, their next of kin gets an insurance payment of $400,000. Let that sink in.”

Indeed, let it sink in. Because when a country compensates those who break its laws more handsomely than it compensates those who fight and die for it, that country is sick.

We’re not talking a handful of payouts here, either. And we’re not talking $450,000 per family; we’re talking per person. As The Wall Street Journal reports:

The U.S. Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services are considering payments that could amount to close to $1 million a family, though the final numbers could shift, the people familiar with the matter said. Most of the families that crossed the border illegally from Mexico to seek asylum in the U.S. included one parent and one child, the people said. Many families would likely get smaller payouts, depending on their circumstances, the people said.

The American Civil Liberties Union, which represents families in one of the lawsuits, has identified about 5,500 children separated at the border over the course of the Trump administration, citing figures provided to it by the government. The number of families eligible under the potential settlement is expected to be smaller, the people said, as government officials aren’t sure how many will come forward. Around 940 claims have so far been filed by the families, the people said.

The total potential payout could be $1 billion or more.

Part of us says this shouldn’t surprise us, given Biden’s open-borders policy (which is to say, his policy of keeping the borders open while paying lip service to the need to close them), and given his tiresome attempts to blame-shift from his awful immigration policies to the smart, effective, and ultimately humane immigration policies of the Trump administration.

But the other part of us is, frankly, stunned by the audacity of it. For example, the plaintiffs in these lawsuits speak of the “lasting psychological trauma” endured by the children who were separated from their parents. But where was the concern of these parents for the welfare of their children when they embarked on their dangerous, arduous, and unlawful journey to penetrate our nation’s border? Why are we rewarding these people? When we arrest a criminal for breaking into a building, do we compensate him for the “lasting psychological trauma” he endured while being stuffed into the police cruiser and sent to jail? Of course not.

Here’s an idea: If the ambulance chasers at the ACLU and their fellow leftist legal groups are sincere about the “lasting psychological trauma” of the children, then by all means let’s compensate the children. Let’s fund their psychological care for as long as their parents deem it necessary. In their country of origin.

But regardless, let’s not broadcast our willingness to throw piles of money at people who come here illegally. If we think the border crisis is bad now, just wait until word of this lavish Biden payout scheme filters its way back to the tens of millions of Mexicans, Guatemalans, Hondurans, Salvadorans, Haitians, and others who’d like to take advantage of the Biden administration’s generosity with your money.

Heck, even a nation-wrecker like Barack Obama now concedes that open borders are “unsustainable.”

Human nature is sometimes confounding, but at other times it’s entirely predictable. For example, when a presidential administration announces and enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward illegal immigrants, folks stop trying to illegally immigrate. But when a presidential candidate says “all those people who are seeking asylum” should “immediately surge to the border,” well, folks pay attention. And they surge to the border.

And when word gets out that we’re rewarding illegal immigrants with $450,000 for their troubles, what on earth do we think will happen?

And Now It’s Time for Spending Myths With Joe

Biden’s speech advocating for his spending agenda was full of fantasies and falsehoods.

Nate Jackson

President Joe Biden doesn’t have a budget deal yet, but yesterday afternoon he made an official statement as if he does, just prior to heading to Rome and then Glasgow. After all, he needs to give the impression to world leaders that he’s still relevant and he’s not the earliest lame-duck president in history.

“I am pleased to announce,” he began, that “we have a historic economic framework.”

That’s news to Progressive Caucus Democrats, who once again yesterday blocked “infrastructure” in the House, holding it hostage to their bigger Bernie Sanders agenda that Joe Biden, Joe Manchin, and Krysten Sinema have already reduced to a meager $1.75 trillion (or is it $1.85 trillion?). And yet it’s still, as was evident in Biden’s speech, a massive expansion of the entitlement state. The federal government is not empowered by the Constitution to be a social services nonprofit, yet that’s exactly what Democrats have been doing since the New Deal and the Great Society.

From a monthly stipend for the child tax credit, to universal pre-Kindergarten, to expansion of Medicaid and Medicare, the cradle-to-grave welfare state would grow in this bill. Despite having to trim a few things like “free” college and paid maternity leave, the door is open for those things in the future.

Massive federal spending last year and already early this year drastically increased the national debt, all while hampering the jobs market and spurring terrible inflation. But Biden inhabits an alternate reality where his proposal “will create millions of jobs, grow the economy, invest in our nation and our people, turn the climate crisis into an opportunity, and put us on a path not only to compete, but to win the economic competition for the 21st century against China and every other major country in the world.” Moreover, because he’ll tax the nation into oblivion, he essentially repeated his “zero dollars” canard: “It’s fiscally responsible. It’s fully paid for. … It will not add to the deficit at all; it will actually reduce the deficit.”

Fact-check: Flagrantly false. His tax increases not only haven’t actually materialized yet, but they will fail to raise the promised revenue. The other side of the coin is that spending is always higher than advertised, and Democrats have loaded up their bill with accounting gimmicks that will assure just that outcome. (For example, no one really thinks the child tax credit will last for only one year and $110 billion.) Put together, that means there’s no way this package doesn’t add to the federal debt, because the true 10-year cost won’t be $1.75 trillion but more like $4 trillion.

Another fact-check: Despite Biden’s oft-promised pledge that he won’t raise taxes on anyone earning less than $400,000, his plans depend on raising taxes on small business owners and on a 15% minimum corporate income tax that will inevitably be passed on to workers. Oh, and there’s that pesky plan to have the IRS chase down millions of Americans for “tax fraud.” Thus, his tax promise is a technicality that, in the real world, is utterly false.

Biden talked a lot about infrastructure — the roads and bridges kind, not the kitchen sink that Democrats now label “infrastructure.” He lamented that U.S. infrastructure “used to be rated the best in the world” but now ranks “13th in the world.” There’s a lot we could say about that, but really from a strategic standpoint, there’s only one thing to say: The amount of money we’ve spent isn’t the problem; it’s how that money has been spent on overinflated union contracts that amount to slush funds for Democrat constituents, all while environmental regulations cause lengthy delays and increase costs.

In other words, if we actually want better infrastructure, getting Democrats out of the way is the path forward.

As part of his $555 billion climate push in this package, the president also touted electric vehicles by stretching the truth beyond recognition. They’re “good for the climate,” he insists, because “they do not expend any pollution into the air.” Technically, that’s true. But mining material for batteries that will someday have to be disposed of, along with the other energy of manufacturing a car and powering it on the road, aren’t free of any environmental impact. “Zero emissions” is simply a disingenuous fairytale.

But that portion of the speech also included one of the more humorous Bidenisms: “When you buy an electric vehicle … you go all the way across America on a single tank of gas, figuratively speaking. It’s not gas. You plug it in.”

Fact-check: Incoherent.

Earlier in the speech, Biden declared: “No one got everything they wanted, including me, but that’s what compromise is. That’s consensus. And that’s what I ran on.” He added, “I’ve long said compromise and consensus are the only way to get big things done in a democracy, important things for the country.”

Just to be clear, the “compromise” and “consensus” he’s boasting about are among the warring factions of the Democrat Party, and even that isn’t settled yet. Zero Republicans support the Biden-Sanders agenda. That sort of partisanship is not what President Unity promised, and he’s doing nothing to change it. Oh well. It’s off to Europe he goes for more “unity” on climate change.

What Role Do Parents Play in Education?

The Left is increasingly fighting parents who don’t want their children indoctrinated.

Brian Mark Weber

Dear parents: Thank you for sending your child to school. Now stay out of their education. It’s none of your business.

This sums up the attitude of many school boards these days. They don’t want any disagreement about the radical agenda they’re pushing on students across America.

This isn’t a new problem. Leftists have used education to burrow into the center of our culture and rot it from within for many decades. But now they’re openly admitting what they’re doing and telling the rest of us to stay out of the discussion.

As former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe boldly proclaimed during a recent gubernatorial debate, “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.”

And he’s not alone.

Jack Schneider and Jennifer Berkshire write in The Washington Post that parents don’t have any right to influence the school curriculum and that the uproar over parental rights is radical and unprecedented. They claim “common law and case law in the United States have long supported the idea that education should prepare young people to think for themselves, even if that runs counter to the wishes of parents.”

And that’s the problem. The education kids receive today is not teaching them to think for themselves. In fact, the right to an alternative opinion is condemned by school boards, administrators, and educators at all levels.

No one is suggesting that parents make every decision about a school district’s curriculum. Parents don’t want to write the curriculum, but they have a right to an alternative opinion when teaching becomes indoctrination.

Expressing different opinions has led some parents to be deemed “domestic terrorists” by the National School Boards Association (NSBA).

And now, Attorney General Merrick Garland has directed the FBI to investigate “alleged harassment and threats to school boards, teachers, staff and administrators.” (Even after being challenged in Congress, and even after the NSBA apologized for its letter requesting Justice Department action, Garland refused to back down.)

The only people being harassed are the parents who want their children learning how to read and write instead of being force-fed Critical Race Theory (CRT) or gender fluidity. They want their children to be taught to love their country despite its flaws rather than being told their only hope is to dismantle the institutions, values, and traditions of our founding.

Randi Weingarten of the American Federation of Teachers and her comrades “would prefer that parental contact with their children be limited by an increasingly powerful state at an ever-earlier age,” writes political analyst Stephen Kruiser. “That’s why they’re pushing for universal pre-K.” Democrats will fund universal pre-K as part of the “Build Back Better” scheme.

To highlight just how far the Left is willing to go to silence the rest of us, one Ohio private school even expelled three students in retaliation for their parents criticizing the school’s teaching of CRT. A surgeon in Minnesota was fired for daring to say that parents should decide whether their children wear masks in school.

Parents are finally taking a stand, but the best approach may be school choice rather than trying to save a school system already lost to the culture wars.

The productive way for parents to fight the culture wars is to “choose different schools,” writes former free speech litigator David French. “Kids who lack resources should be provided ‘backpack funding’ — educational dollars that follow students to the school their families choose.” This approach “uses the liberty the Constitution preserves to protect the authority of parents in the American family.” The Left, on the other hand, “uses the powers the Constitution does not restrict to magnify the role of the state in the life of the child.”

Those who seek to use education to undermine our civilization have dug in their heels. Now those of us who want our children educated instead of indoctrinated need to do the same.

Where’s the #MeToo Movement in Loudoun County?

The silence from some quarters on a “transgender” rape in a school is loud and clear.

Emmy Griffin

All evil things will eventually come to light. That’s what Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) is finding out in a big way. The horrible rape of a young girl in a Stone Bridge High School bathroom keeps getting more doleful as new information is revealed. The biggest question now is, where is #MeToo? This incident should be high profile enough to get that movement’s attention, right?

Wrong.

Here are the new revelations in the Loudoun County case. The teen boy and girl had a previous sexual relationship, but on May 28 the girl did not give her consent. The boy was transferred to another school where he is charged with kidnapping and sexually assaulting another student. The latter case has yet to be tried. At a recent hearing for the original rape, he incredulously claimed that at least one of the acts he committed happened by accident because his watch got caught on his skirt. Hmph.

Such obfuscation obviously does not take away from the fact that he raped her. As #MeToo is very fond of pointing out in most other cases, No means no. But have we heard a peep vis-à-vis Loudoun County? No. The school board won’t touch this case with a nine-foot pole because it might hurt the LGBTQ+ agenda. In fact, the feminist activist group Women’s Liberation Front called out #MeToo for the imbalance of only choosing “which rape victims to believe based on what supports their gender narrative.”

This story is not just about a rape committed by a “gender fluid” boy in a girls’ bathroom. This story is about the LPSC hiding behind Title IX regulations and Virginia state law in an attempt to cover up this story. It’s about the Loudoun County school board lying and claiming it didn’t know about the incident until a conservative media outlet blew the whistle earlier this month. It’s about the high school itself calling the police on the victim’s father the day of the rape for making a scene and not on the boy who committed the offense.

This tragic rape is also not merely about the “transgender”-friendly bathroom assault by a boy wearing a skirt. It’s about the pervasive higher levels of corruption.

Loudoun’s next-door neighbor, Fairfax County, has a similar history of quashing sexual crimes. To do so, it even uses a legal firm where Democrat gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe used to work as a senior adviser. Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) has employed Hunton Andrews Kurth for a long time, and in recent years the majority of FCPS’s money has been used to employee this firm to fight Loudoun County-type cases. Both FCPS and the law firm have used Title IX as a shield to hide at least one sexual assault. Furthermore, both have aggressively interpreted Title IX to favor school administrators and not the victims. Fortunately, their felonious interpretation was struck down in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, but they intend to take it to the Supreme Court. A favorable verdict there would be disastrous for school rape survivors all over the country.

Parents and students are fed up with the hypocrisy of the woke agenda that pits actual victims against “transgender rights.” Earlier this week, students in several Loudoun County high schools staged a walkout in protest of that county’s handling of the rape cases.

As podcaster Liz Wheeler points out, what’s going on in Virginia is not Democrats vs. Republicans. Rather, it’s leftists vs. parents. Virginia is a petri dish for the leftist agenda at large. It harkens back to something political pundit Ben Shapiro observed last year: “They don’t hate you because they hate Trump. They hate Trump because they hate you.” If this attempt at silencing the rape that would tarnish the transgender agenda isn’t because they hate the average American, I don’t know what is. Every major decision under this woke, progressive administration has proven this to be an accurate assessment of the situation.

The #MeToo partisans only care about victims they can use to further leftist policies. These children are a sacrifice they are willing to make for the sake of their own power. #MeToo’s silence on this issue is loud and clear.

FBI Withholds Info From GOP J6 Committee

There’s a lot we still don’t know about the events of January 6, and Nancy Pelosi aims to keep it that way.

Douglas Andrews

Here’s what every American should know about Nancy Pelosi’s Select Committee on January 6: She doesn’t want to get to the whole truth.

And how do we know this? Because for the first time in history, a House speaker has refused to seat the committee appointments made by the leader of the minority party. For the first time in history, a House speaker is stacking the deck in favor of a sanitized outcome. By refusing to seat Republican Congressmen Jim Jordan and Jim Banks, who were handpicked by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to represent the Republicans on the Select Committee, Nancy Pelosi will ensure that we don’t learn the whole truth about the January 6 riot at the Capitol, and that instead we learn only the partial truth of the partisan Left.

Thus, if you want to know precisely what role the FBI played in the breach of the Capitol that day — both the role of the bureau’s agents and of its agents provocateur — you won’t get it from the report that this Select Committee produces. You won’t, for example, learn about the role Ray Epps and his associates played in orchestrating and enacting the events of January 6.

Republicans — and, we believe, plenty of everyday Americans — also want to know why the Capitol had ineffective riot shields during the attack; why they were told that a map of the Capitol’s tunnels was being shared publicly but did nothing about it; why the National Guard arrived a full three hours after they were called; why the FBI didn’t warn anyone of the potential threat until the night beforehand, January 5; and why the Capitol assault began 20 minutes before Trump was done speaking.

Might it be that Nancy Pelosi, who as speaker of the House is ultimately responsible for Capitol security, might not want to know the answers to these questions?

That Pelosi won’t allow Indiana’s Banks onto the Select Committee is a disgrace. Banks is a former naval officer, an Afghanistan war veteran, and a very serious man. As for Ohio’s Jordan, an NCAA champion wrestler, there may be no more dogged or determined member of Congress anywhere. Instead, Pelosi selected two Trump-deranged and impeachment-supporting Republican outliers: former Minority Whip Liz Cheney from Wyoming and Congressman Adam Kinzinger from Illinois. In response, Leader McCarthy announced that he’d tasked Banks with leading a Republican investigation into January 6.

Further evidence of Pelosi’s desire to avoid the inconvenient truths that a Jordan or a Banks might uncover emerged earlier this week. As The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway reports:

The FBI told Indiana Republican Rep. Jim Banks it would not provide Republicans the same information provided to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s hand-picked committee consisting only of Democrat-appointed members. “We respectfully refer you to the Select Committee regarding issues of access to records and information,” the agency wrote in response to a Republican request for information, referring to the official House panel established by the Speaker.

Why aren’t Republicans being given access to the exact same information that their Democrat colleagues have access to? Is it because they’ll likely uncover information that would be inconvenient to the Democrats’ narrative of a riot hatched and carried out entirely by the same Trump supporters who came to hear the president speak earlier that day?

As Hemingway continues: “The erased distinction between the peaceful protest with [President Trump] and the violence at the Capitol has become a hallmark of Pelosi’s efforts to embed the events of Jan. 6 into the American psyche and indict political dissidents.”

There’s still a lot we don’t know about the events of January 6. And the Democrats and their FBI partners aim to keep it that way.

“As whistleblowers continue to dump documents revealing internal Facebook discussions about controlling content, one thing is striking: The thousands of pages released so far contain zero signs of staff worries about (or even awareness of) left-wing hate speech and misinformation. Perhaps we’re only seeing part of the picture. But Facebook staffers’ incessant drive to censor right-wing stories and sites suggests they really are blind to the often-outrageous speech from outlets on the other side of the spectrum.” —New York Post

“The international threat matrix does not take time out as our national security agencies become enthralled by critical race theory and pronoun etiquette. … Unfortunately, we can’t counter hypersonic missile launch with better pronoun usage. Gaslighting: “In recent months, debates over race and equity have roiled school districts across the country. More than 27 states have introduced legislation limiting how teachers can talk about race and racism in the classroom. But the enforcement of these measures will largely rest on parents, who’ve been newly deputized to ensure that teachers aren’t teaching ‘critical race theory’ (CRT), a vague catchall that has rapidly expanded to include almost anything that conservatives don’t like.” —The Nation contributor Jennifer C. Race bait: “I think that white people are committed to being villains in the aggregate. … White human beings thought, ‘There’s a world here and we own it.’ Prior to them, black and brown people had been sailing across oceans, interacting with each other for centuries without total subjugation, domination, and colonialism. … Their thinking is so morally and spiritually bankrupt about power that … they fear viscerally, existentially letting go of power because they cannot imagine that there’s another way to be. It is either that you dominate or you are dominated.” —Rutgers associate professor Dr. Brittney Cooper

Supply Chain Crisis Solved As Each Migrant Coming Into Country Will Be Asked To Help Carry A Shipping Container — The Babylon Bee

DEL RIO, TX—Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg announced that the supply chain crisis wreaking havoc on the nation’s economy has been resolved, and praised Biden’s brilliance and ingenuity in proposing the solution: Ask each migrant coming into the country to help carry a shipping container.

“Big, big shiny boats are flocking to the shores of Mexico,” said the cabinet member. “And all the choo-choo trains and beep-beep vroom-vrooms can’t handle all the containers! Oh no! So let’s just have the thousands and thousands of migrants carry them in! It’s a solution that can only be attributed to Biden’s progressive policies.”

One immigrant praised the opportunity to have a job before even entering the United States illegally. “It’s unbelievable that only a few weeks ago the White House sent my family a personal invitation, map, GPS, and detailed instructions on how to cross the border illegally, and here I am now, using my skills to carry shipping containers and boost the American economy for a modest $450,000 salary. Gracias Señor!”

Border Patrol agents trying to stop the illegal immigrants from bringing the vital shipments into the country were arrested and sent to Guantanamo Bay.

‘Coercion is not consent’: Firefighters and police rally against vaccine mandate outside New York mayor’s residence (VIDEO) | RT USA News

Firefighters and police officers protested against the mayor’s vaccination mandate in New York City as first-response services are scrambling to deal with looming staff shortages there.

Hundreds of firefighters, police officers and other first responders rallied outside Gracie Mansion, Mayor Bill de Blasio’s official residence, on Thursday. They held signs that said “My body my choice” and “Coercion is not consent.”

“Finally we are out, because we are not taking this anymore, this is insanity,” a protester told Ruptly video agency. Most municipal workers have until 5pm Friday to submit proof of receiving at least one dose of the vaccine. Those refusing to do so will be placed on unpaid leave for at least 30 days.

Andrew Ansbro, the president of the FDNY Firefighter Association, whose members participated in the protest, warned that 45% of the city’s firefighters are unvaccinated, and up to 40% of New York firehouses will be forced to close down due to staff shortages after the deadline to receive the vaccine expires.

“The response times are going to go through the roof. We’re just not going to be able to get to the emergencies in time,” Ansbro told Fox News Radio on Wednesday, adding that “fires are going to burn longer.”

NYC firefighter union boss calls on members to DEFY city’s vaccine mandate & ‘report for duty’ regardless of vax status

The union chief said firefighters are opting for early retirement rather than taking the shot.On Wednesday, a Staten Island judge declined a lawsuit filed by the Police Benevolent Association, an NYPD union, to block de Blasio’s vaccination mandate from being implemented. The union’s chief, Patrick Lynch, said the ruling has set the city “up for a real crisis.”

US media reported that New York’s fire and police departments are bracing for staff shortages by demanding vaccinated personnel work overtime and cancelling vacations, among other measures. The Fire Department is preparing for a 20% reduction in service on Monday, CNN said, citing a source.

De Blasio defended the mandate as a way to keep New York’s workforce safe from Covid-19. “If we don’t stop Covid, New Yorkers will die. We must, must stop Covid and the way to do that is vaccination. And that must include our public employees,” the mayor said.

According to de Blasio, 86% of municipal workers have been vaccinated.
