The cry for the rescue of Israel and its restoration through God’s mercy, continues, along with the historical review, through the eighty-third psalm. “Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die;
“And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.”
These verses give the keynote of these psalms, mercy for the petitioners combined with vengeance against their enemies. The sufferings of the Hebrews had been so terrible as to excuse this bitterness. Again and again had their mightier neighbors, Egypt upon the one hand and Babylon and Assyria upon the other, invaded Palestine to lay waste the land. The helpless country-people were slain or carried off to slavery. The walled cities were besieged and desolated by starvation. Even Jerusalem itself had fallen at the last.

Why count heads? One man with God is a majority though there be a thousand on the other side. Sometimes our helpers may be too many for God to work with them, as was the case with Gideon, who could do nothing till he had increased his forces by thinning out their numbers. But the Lord’s hosts are never too few. When God would found a nation, He called Abram alone and blessed him. When He would vanquish proud Pharaoh, He used no armies, but only Moses and Aaron. The “one-man ministry,” as certain wise men call it, has been far more used of the Lord than trained bands with their officers. Did all the Israelites together slay so many as Samson alone? Saul and his hosts slew their thousands but David his ten thousands.
The Lord can give the enemy long odds and yet vanquish him. If we have faith, we have God with us, and what are multitudes of men? One shepherd’s dog can drive before him a flock of sheep. If the Lord sent thee, O my brother, His strength will accomplish His divine purpose. Wherefore, rely on the promise, and be very courageous.

Where can we go when all the walls fall and all the armies crumble and all hope is lost? To the eternal God, who is our Father. I’ve asked that question more times than I can count. I’ve watched over and over as people close to me have gotten married and started their families. I’ve cried and wondered what was wrong with me. My heart has been broken over relationships I thought might be the one for which I was waiting.
I spent many years struggling with being single. My mind and my heart seemed constantly restless. Then, somewhere along the road, it got better. As I pursued and obeyed God, He opened my eyes to the blessings I have right now.
The Apostle Paul knew what it was to live a life he never planned. Paul was educated as a Pharisee (a very learned Jewish leader of the time). He was well respected, even feared. Paul was also a Roman citizen with all the perks that came with that. He was a powerful man in the early days after Jesus’ crucifixion. Acts 7:58, 8:3, 9:13-14
With all that he had going for him, one encounter with Jesus on the Road to Damascus changed everything. He went from privilege to hardship. He embraced a completely different life and learned how to be content, no matter what. His peace came through the strength Christ gave him.
We all struggle with life’s circumstances. Very few of us have the life we imagined when we were young. But, like Paul, we can find our peace in knowing that God is in control and that His plan for us is perfect.
Lord, I am struggling. I want to be okay with my present circumstances but I can’t get there. I admit I want something else. Show me how to be at peace. Amen.

If it stands, Justice Alito’s blistering draft opinion would be a momentous move toward Rule of Law.
“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,” Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito writes in a leaked draft ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. There are two big stories here, really — that the Court will seemingly issue a hugely consequential ruling overturning two of the worst decisions in its history, and that someone leaked a February 10 draft of the decision weeks before the ruling is handed down.
We’ll start with the virtually unprecedented leak. Former acting Solicitor General Neal Katyal said that “there has never ever been such a leak” from the Court, arguing that it’s “the equivalent of the pentagon papers leak.” In breaking the news, Politico said, “No draft decision in the modern history of the court has been disclosed publicly while a case was still pending.”
The fact that Politico, a leftist rag, was the recipient of the leak likely means the source was an activist on the left side of the Court. Immediate speculation centered on the intent of the leak, which is almost surely to intimidate the justices and influence an outcome not yet set in stone.
“Deliberations on controversial cases have in the past been fluid,” Politico innocently reports. “Justices can and sometimes do change their votes as draft opinions circulate and major decisions can be subject to multiple drafts and vote-trading, sometimes until just days before a decision is unveiled. The court’s holding will not be final until it is published, likely in the next two months.”
Indeed, vote changing is exactly what happened in the case that might have set the precedent for such political pressure — Chief Justice John Roberts’s infamous 2012 ruling on ObamaCare. Roberts initially sided with conservatives and the Constitution to strike down ObamaCare before changing his mind at the last minute and rewriting the law in order to save it, as well as to supposedly protect the Court’s reputation for neutrality on political issues.
And no sooner did Politico’s story break than, lo and behold, protesters showed up at the Court in DC to demand fealty to the demented religious dogma of killing preborn babies. The media went bonkers, hand-wringing over the Court’s legitimacy and reputation.
The Washington Post used those exact words, fretting that the leak and the ruling “may prove to be a major blow to the court’s legitimacy and reputation.” It is ironic beyond measure that Roberts’s apparent obsession with “legitimacy and reputation” above all other considerations may be the reason both are undermined.
Rumors were swirling just last week that Roberts was attempting to persuade a conservative justice to uphold Roe and Casey to protect the Court’s reputation and precedent. (The fact that Alito wrote the opinion could mean Roberts at least partially sided with the Left. Again.) If it turns out that the leak was meant to aid Roberts’s efforts to change votes, or if it was retribution for Roberts having failed, the chief justice will have only himself to blame.
That’s why “Roberts has an absolute obligation to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation,” argues Josh Blackman. “And at the end of that investigation, Roberts must publicly identify the persons who are responsible for this leak — that includes Justices and clerks. Heads must roll.”
The other reason the leak was likely a leftist ploy is that Democrats hope to rally women voters ahead of the midterms. Politico also issued that report press release for Democrats shortly after breaking the leak, saying that it “instantly jolted Democrats from a bout of political malaise Monday night — and many hope it could change the tide of the midterm elections.”
Joe Biden issued a statement arguing that “a woman’s right to choose is fundamental” and promising to work toward “legislation that codifies Roe.” Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer released a joint statement lamenting such a decision as “an abomination” and the “greatest restriction of rights in the past fifty years.” Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY), chair of the House Democratic Campaign Committee, dubbed it “the central choice in the 2022 election.”
And don’t forget Court-packing. Leftists certainly haven’t. “Overturning Roe would put the lives of women across the country at risk,” cried Representative Ilhan Omar. “It would fly in the face of decades of precedent and the overwhelming majority of public opinion. And they will not stop here. Expand the court.” There will be a renewed push for Democrats to eliminate the Senate filibuster as well — either to pack the Court or to codify abortion into law, or both.
Democrats always want to change the rules when they don’t get their desired outcome.
Speaking of outcomes, let’s turn to the decision itself. Assuming the leaked draft ends up being close to the final ruling, Alito minces no words.
“Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” Alito writes. “Its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences. And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have enflamed debate and deepened division.”
He’s not alone, by the way. No less a feminist icon than the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg once calledRoe an “unnecessary” and “extreme … court intervention” that wrongly “halted a political process.”
Alito continued: “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision. … It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”
What of state laws? “At the time of Roe,” Alito noted, “30 States still prohibited abortion at all stages. In the years prior to that decision, about a third of the States had liberalized their laws, but Roe abruptly ended that political process. It imposed the same highly restrictive regime on the entire Nation, and it effectively struck down the abortion laws of every single State.”
The Court having seized control over the issue is exactly why abortion became so politically contentious.
Assuming abortion law is returned to the states where it belongs, it would become illegal or restricted in 13 states with more no doubt to follow. Yet blue states would retain laws permitting the barbaric practice, and probably even expanding it as Colorado recently did.
Ultimately, the consequences of this decision cannot be understated. Even more so if the leak either changes a justice’s vote or the result itself. The Court should issue the opinion post haste so as to counteract any more political shenanigans.
In the meantime, we pray for the people most directly affected by this — women in crisis pregnancies and the baby girls and boys they carry in their wombs.
DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas embarked on a publicity tour to dispel the indisputable — that Biden’s DGB is an affront to the Constitution.
Everyone from the center left to the solid right reacted in expressing near unison shock and objection to the revelation by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas last week that Joe Biden’s DHS was creating a Disinformation Governance Board. The announcement of an Orwellian “Ministry of Truth” had everyone wondering if this was 1984. Unfortunately, it is all too real — a fact that was made clear when Mayorkas hit the mainstream media outlets in an effort to dispel the indisputable truth that the Biden administration is walking all over the First Amendment.
“It works to ensure that the way in which we address threats, the connectivity between threats and acts of violence are addressed without infringing on free speech — protecting civil rights and civil liberties, the right of privacy,” assured Mayorkas. This is the same Mayorkas who claims that there is no border crisis, all while more than two million illegal aliens have poured into the U.S. in just one year under Biden. Excuse us, Mr. Secretary, if we simply don’t believe you.
Further demonstrating that the Biden administration is playing fast and loose with the truth is the fact that a leftist partisan hack has been tabbed to lead this government-sanctioned “fact-checking” outfit. Based on her extensive social media footprint, Nina Jankowicz is as partisan and anti-Republican as they come. And to make matters worse, she’s a repeated purveyor of disinformation herself, such as the Russia/Trump collusion hoax or Hunter Biden’s laptop being nothing more than Russian propaganda.
When Mayorkas was pressed on this very point as to whether Jankowicz could be trusted to be “politically neutral,” he offered the classic Washington obfuscation answer: She’s “eminently qualified.” When asked if he would have been okay with the creation of a similar board under the Trump administration, Mayorkas showed his hand by avoiding answering the question and then redirecting once again to that old “qualified” canard: “I believe this working group that gathers together best practices, makes sure our work is coordinated, consistent with those best practices, that we’re safeguarding the right of free speech, that we’re safeguarding civil liberties. I think it’s an extraordinarily important endeavor.”
The great irony here is that the Biden administration is doing the exact opposite of “safeguarding civil liberties.” What government officials in the highest offices are seeking to do is trample all over Americans’ First Amendment rights, using a dubious rationale in order to prevent the promulgation of what they claim are objectionable political opinions.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked about the DGB, and she further raised eyebrows by stating, “We know there has been a range of [disinformation] out there about a range of topics, I mean, including COVID, for example, and also elections and eligibility.” She then expressed surprise that the DGB would be considered controversial: “It sounds like the objective of the board is to prevent disinformation and misinformation from traveling around the country in a range of communities. I’m not sure who opposes that effort.”
The problem, as mentioned above, is that this is a direct assault on the First Amendment. The government’s job is to protect the American public from those who would silence them, not to “protect” them from “disinformation” by silencing them. The government cannot become the absolute arbiter of truth. That is a job that only God is qualified to perform. And that is exactly what this effort by the Biden administration boils down to — an effort to take the role of God, to declare to the American public what is and what isn’t “truth.”
No matter how this issue is parsed or sliced, there is simply no way to truly justify it constitutionally. This may be the biggest affront yet to the Constitution from the party constantly lamenting threats to democracy. What bigger threat can there be to the Republic than Big Brother monitoring and censoring speech?
House Republicans aren’t content to merely call out Joe Biden’s many failures.
If ever an election cycle could be won without so much as lifting a finger, this would be it. Republicans haven’t necessarily done anything right — anything, that is, aside from standing back while Joe Biden and his fellow Democrats commit electoral suicide — nor have they done anything wrong. But merely pointing out the other side’s idiocies isn’t a roadmap for governance.
No doubt sensing this, Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs, who chairs the influential House Freedom Caucus, penned an op-ed last month calling for a return to Donald Trump’s “America First” policies by way of a plan similar to Newt Gingrich’s “Contract with America.”
These are big shoes to fill. After all, Trump introduced the America First agenda during his 2016 campaign and is still the unrivaled leader of the Republican Party. And Gingrich rode his 1994 manifesto to a gain of 54 House seats and eight Senate seats, and he snatched the speaker’s gavel on behalf of Republicans after 40 long years in the desert. As Biggs put it:
American voters are poised to clean Biden’s Democrat henchmen out of the United States House of Representatives in November’s elections because they believe that Joe Biden is doing a dreadful job. At the same time, Americans want to see action on the part of incoming Republicans. It isn’t enough for Republicans to remind voters that Democrats have lost their conscience. Republicans must have an affirmative, positive platform that can be implemented. The plan must advance positive policy while rolling back Biden’s initiatives that have harmed us so badly. We need an America First Plan, a new contract with America.
Biggs is certainly working for the sale. First, he floated the idea, and now he’s pitching the solution: a four-page “America First Contract” with eight areas of focus:
Reduce Inflation and Strengthen the Economy
Secure our Border
Restore Transparency and Parental Choice in Education
Reduce Violent Crime and Preserve the Rule of Law
Restore Election Integrity
Break Up Big Tech
Put America First in Foreign, Energy, and Trade Policies
Reinstate Good Government Practices
“We need to have a really positive outlook, positive platform,” said Biggs in an interview. “I wanted to be very different from saying, ‘We’re not as bad as those guys,’ and saying, ‘We have a positive way to resolve any issues that are coming.’ That was the genesis for this idea.”
At the end of the contract, Biggs sends a shot across the Democrats’ bow with a list of oversight and investigative items. “I call upon current Republican leadership in the House to immediately form working groups to collect and preserve evidence,” he writes, in areas of Democrat malfeasance ranging from the denial of due process to J6 defendants, to inappropriate relationships of the Biden family with China and other foreign governments, to Joe Biden’s refusal to secure our border, to the origins of COVID-19.
It’s an ambitious agenda, and one that we suspect will resonate with Republican voters.
Now all Biggs and his colleagues need to do is win a midterm election.
The Twitter turnover is but a sliver of light in the darkness of mass and social media platforms.
We have provided balanced analysis regarding Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover — the effect it will likely have on that platform and, by extension, other social media platforms and media outlets. We anticipate that it will shed some light into the abyss of mass and social media darkness. But it is only a start.
The overwhelming opinion-shaping control wielded by the Democrats’ Leftmedia propagandists was a driving force when we launched The Patriot Post more than 25 years ago. And despite the rise of new conservative media cutting into that monopoly, the Left is still dominating.
Over the last 15 years, its collaborators, the Big Tech First Amendment suppressors, have overtaken the mass media as the masters of propaganda because they operate with a different set of rules. They have taken the initiative to pick up the Leftmedia gap, declaring themselves the arbiters of digital truth. As Musk has made clear, their use of so-called “fact-checkers” and claims of “missing context” are the catch-alls to suppress free speech — at least the speech that does not comport with their political agenda.
It’s no small irony that Twitter was at the center of the most egregious example of a massive media cover-up of Joe Biden’s indisputably corrupt ChiCom dealings in the weeks ahead of the 2020 election. Only after the election, when it was safe to reveal the truth, did Leftmedia outlets begrudgingly admit the evidence they suppressed before the election was factual. But the intended damage to Donald Trump was done.
So, when Musk’s Twitter deal is done in six months, what can you say without being subject to social media blackout?
Indeed, it was the assertion that “there are only two genders” that earned our Facebook page a “hate” strike. And, unlike Twitter, Facebook gave us no opportunity to effectively argue our case. Thus, in the two years since, our Facebook traffic is down 95% due to shadowbanning, that invisible algorithm most responsible for the suppression of free speech. That has not stopped us from declaring the truth about the Left’s surreal gender-bending agenda. The fact remains, it is the Left and social media false claims of “fake news” that constitute the most dangerous enemy of free speech. Let’s see what Musk can do about that.
The chief corporate affairs officer bows out after only months on the job.
Geoff Morrell, Walt Disney Company’s chief corporate affairs officer, has resigned after only three months on the job. Morrell, who was one of the architects of the company’s dishonest public response to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill, said in a letter to his staff: “After three months in this new role, it has become clear to me that for a number of reasons it is not the right fit. After talking this over with [Disney CEO] Bob [Chapek], I have decided to leave the company to pursue other opportunities.”
Chapek wrote this in a memo announcing the change: “I am writing to share the news that Geoff Morrell, our Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. Fortunately, the strength and experience of our existing leadership team — including relatively new all-star hires — means there is no shortage of talent to guide our reputation-driving functions.”
Disney’s reputation-driving functions have been lackluster since the once-family-friendly company took a stand against Florida’s popular bill. Disney not only exposed a radical push within the company to indoctrinate children in the LGBTQ+ agenda, but also a level of cowardice from corporate, which bent toward the will of a loud few.
The backlash has been stunning. Disney stocks have plummeted since mid-March, when the company announced its stand against the Parental Rights in Education bill. People have canceled their Disney+ subscriptions, and protesters have gathered outside the parks. The corporate image of Disney has changed from a beloved children’s entertainment company to something perverted that seeks to hurt children. Recently, Florida’s Republican legislature and Governor Ron DeSantis relieved Disney of its government-granted autonomy that allowed the company to be self-governing and to have a special tax status.
Morrell came to Disney having formerly worked as a Pentagon press secretary and as head of communications for the energy company BP. His brief captaining of Disney’s corporate affairs and the eye-opening the public got of what The Walt Disney Company has become do not seem to be a coincidence.
It leaves us to speculate: Did Morrell leave because he didn’t protect Disney’s reputation? Did he leave because he wasn’t woke enough or quick enough to take a stand against the bill? Or was he just a convenient fall guy for the mistakes his predecessors made in this public snafu?
For the past half-century, no intellectual voice has been more vital, more correct, or more necessary than his.
Inasmuch as a single quote can say it all about Thomas Sowell, this one would have to be it. Speaking of himself perhaps half a century ago, he said during an interview: “People say, ‘You’re a very tough person.’ I’m not tough. Life is tough. I’m merely trying to acquaint you with those facts.”
Sowell did indeed acquaint the world with hard facts about the harsh realities of life — facts about human nature and economics and politics and history and sociology and race and culture and so many other things — but even this magnificent bit of plainspoken brilliance falls short. Sowell modestly says he’s not tough, but anyone who knows anything about the man knows that this simply isn’t true. No one could’ve grown up an orphaned black boy and a high school dropout in the Jim Crow South and put together such a stunning body of intellectual work, no one could’ve endured such a long lifetime of slings and arrows from the Left, without being tough as nails.
Sowell, who’ll turn 92 in June, published his 36th book two years ago. At the time, no one had written a book about his remarkable life. That changed last year, and thankfully so, when Wall Street Journal columnist and editorial board member Jason Riley published Maverick: A Biography of Thomas Sowell.
The need for telling the Sowell story was obvious. As the book’s overview puts it: “His bold and unsentimental assaults on liberal orthodoxy have endeared him to many readers but have also enraged fellow intellectuals, the civil-rights establishment, and much of the mainstream media. The result has been a lack of acknowledgment of his scholarship among critics who prioritize political correctness.”
Riley says that when he was researching Sowell, he noticed that man’s descriptions of the thinkers he admired most could’ve been written about the man himself. Take this one, for example, about Nobel Prize-winning economist George Stigler, one of Sowell’s professors at the University of Chicago:
In a world of self-promoting academics, coining buzzwords and aligning themselves on the side of the angels of the moment, George Stigler epitomized a rare integrity as well as a rare intellect. He jumped on no bandwagons, beat no drums for causes, created no personal cult. He did the work of a scholar and a teacher — both superbly — and found that sufficient. If you wanted to learn, and above all if you wanted to learn how to think — how to avoid the vague words, fuzzy thoughts, or maudlin sentiments that cloud over reality — then Stigler was your man.
And if Stigler was your man, then so was Sowell. Or take his description of another Nobel Laureate, another professor of his at Chicago, Milton Friedman, whom he said “was one of the very few intellectuals with both genius and common sense. He could express himself at the highest analytical levels to his fellow economists in academic publications and still write popular books … that could be understood by people who knew nothing about economics.”
One would be hard-pressed to find two words that better describe Sowell than “genius” and “common sense.” (Friedman, incidentally, once said this about Sowell: “The word ‘genius’ is thrown around so much that it’s becoming meaningless, but nevertheless I think Tom Sowell is close to being one.”)
That genius, though, had the humblest of beginnings. Sowell’s dad had died a few months before his birth, and his mom, a housemaid, already had four kids, so off young Thomas went to be raised by a great-aunt. His family, such as it was, moved to Harlem when he was nine, and Sowell became the first member of his family to get past the seventh grade. He dropped out of high school to get a job, and only attended college after having completed a Korean War-era tour in the Marine Corps. Then it was Howard, Harvard, and Columbia, where he earned a Ph.D.
Remarkably, Sowell was a Marxist in his 20s and early 30s. His awakening, as historian John Steel Gordon writes, came when he saw how the U.S. government’s minimum wage laws affected the workforce at a sugar plantation in Puerto Rico: As wages went up, the number of workers went down. Thus, a well-intended law was actually a net detriment to those it was intended to help. Imagine that.
“From there on,” Sowell wrote with biting understatement, “as I learned more and more from both experience and research, my adherence to the visions and doctrines of the left began to erode rapidly.”
Which brings us back to that 36th book of his, Charter Schools and Their Enemies, which explores a topic long near and dear to him. As Sowell wrote about some highly successful schools with predominantly low-income black and Hispanic student bodies:
The educational success of these charter schools undermines theories of genetic determinism, claims of cultural bias in the tests, assertions that racial “integration” is necessary for blacks to reach educational parity, and presumptions that income differences are among the “root causes” of educational differences.
Having dispensed with the easy and often lazy excuse of race, Sowell then set his sights on the failure of public schools:
Schools exist for the education of children. Schools do not exist to provide iron-clad jobs for teachers, billions of dollars in union dues for teachers unions, monopolies for educational bureaucracies, a guaranteed market for [graduates of] teachers colleges, or a captive audience for indoctrinators.
As Riley reflects on the state of black intellectual thought, he laments that names like Ta-Nehisi Coates, Ibram Kendi, and Nikole Hannah-Jones are better known today than Sowell’s name — and for obvious reason. But Sowell’s “scholarship runs circles around those individuals,” he writes. “And it’s not just the volume of his writings, it’s also the range and depth and rigor of his analysis. He anticipated and refuted many of their arguments decades ago, in some cases before the people making them today were even born.”

We also keep an archive of much of the man’s syndicated work. His last column, from December 3, 2020, was a tribute to his dear friend and fellow black conservative trailblazer, Walter Williams.

In closing, we’ll leave you with Sowell’s Three Questions, which he suggests we apply to all great ideas that emanate from the Left: Compared to what? At what cost? What hard evidence do you have?
Sowell explains it this way, with typical common sense and pragmatism: “Man is flawed from Day One, and there are no solutions, only trade-offs. And whatever you do to deal with one of man’s flaws, it creates another problem. But you try to get the best trade-off you can get, and that’s all you can hope for.”
CMS drops ObamaCare rule on “transgender” care: Conservatives and religious liberty advocates breathed a slight sigh of relief after the Biden administration elected to drop its attempt to include a “transgender” care provision in its updated ObamaCare nondiscrimination rules. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services released its updated rule that did not change Section 1557 to include “gender identity” and “sexual orientation” as officially recognized designations for protected nondiscrimination status. Rachel Morrison, a policy analyst at the conservative Ethics and Public Policy Center, observed that the decision was a win for conservatives: “CMS’s decision to drop its plans to mandate insurance coverage of irreversible and sterilizing medical and surgical gender transition procedures, including for children, is huge. For an agency to completely abandon a proposal at the final stage, especially one that aligns so closely with the administration’s priorities, is practically unheard of.” However, the changes aren’t dead, as CMS says they will be considered “at a later time … to ensure that they are consistent with the policies and requirements that will be included in the section 1557 rule making.”
Samantha Power: “Never let a crisis go to waste”: A former Barack Obama official who is Joe Biden’s current chief of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) actually referenced Rahm Emanuel’s infamous statement. Referring to the current supply chain issues and growing concerns over the global food supplies, Power stated: “Fertilizer shortages are real now because Russia is a big exporter of fertilizer. Even though fertilizer is not sanctioned, less fertilizer is coming out of Russia. As a result we’re working with countries to think about natural solutions like manure and compost and this may hasten transitions that would have been in the interest of farmers to make eventually anyway.” She then seemingly said the silent part out loud, “So, never let a crisis go to waste.” Power then called for Congress to act to “meet emergency food needs, so we don’t see the cascading deadly effects of Russia’s war extend into Africa and beyond.” This is classic leftist playbook stuff — leverage a crisis in order to gain political power. Raising fears over food shortages appears to be one of the latest tools the Biden administration will seek to use in its efforts to grab more power. As Joe Biden told NATO, “Yes, we did talk about food shortages, and it’s gonna be real.”
Putin to undergo cancer surgery: Russian President Vladimir Putin will soon go under the knife. The 69-year-old dictator is supposedly scheduled for cancer surgery and will temporarily transfer power for a “short time” during the procedure. The report promulgated by Telegram channel General SVR, a media outfit run by a former Russian Foreign Intelligence Service lieutenant, claims that Putin has been struggling with a number of health issues and alleges that the Russian strongman has been visited by a cancer doctor some 35 times in the last few years. The report raises new questions about the state of Putin’s health. Video footage from last month appeared to show him tightly gripping the edge of a desk while seated, causing speculation that he may be suffering from Parkinson’s disease. The Pentagon stated that it could not confirm the report.
Unions lose at Amazon again … in New York! Workers at an Amazon warehouse in New York’s Staten Island voted against unionization on Monday, and did so by a significant margin. “The organizing will continue at this facility and beyond,” the Amazon Labor Union (ALU) responded after 62% of the workers voted against joining. “The fight has just begun.” But the question is, just who is the ALU fighting against? As Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel stated: “We’re glad that our team ad LDJ5 were able to have their voices heard. We look forward to continuing to work directly together as we strive to make every day better for our employees.” The ALU, which had successfully unionized another Staten Island Amazon warehouse, was expecting a similar result here. Indeed, many Democrats have been pushing for greater unionization to win more voters. As Senator Elizabeth Warren stated prior to the vote: “The good news is, in 2022, there are going to be more union voters. Democrats are the ones who are … trying to give workers a chance to unionize, something that Republicans fight every inch of the way.” Recall that last month, even as the ALU unionized its first-ever Amazon warehouse, it also failed to do so in a warehouse in Bessemer, Alabama. It’s now looking like unionization is the outlier and not the rule, which serves as a big blow to the Democrats’ drive to expand Big Labor.

If you control the Ministry of Truth, then the truth is whatever you want it to be.
It’s an inspiring story during a time of war. The ‘Ghost of Kyiv’, a Ukrainian fighter pilot, had apparently bravely shot down more than 40 Russian aircraft before being tragically killed in an air battle on 13 March. Days before, on 11 March, the ‘Ghost’ was pictured in his cockpit with a caption, “Hello occupier, I’m coming for your soul.”
The only problem is that none of it was true. Despite one of the videos purporting to show the Ghost of Kyiv being shown to be from a video game, the Ukrainian government continued to insist that he was real.
But they have now admitted that it was all made up, with Ukraine’s air force command writing on Facebook, “The ghost of Kyiv is a superhero-legend, whose character was created by Ukrainians!”

This is not the first time that Ukrainians have admitted they are just making things up. Indeed, they are very good at it. Whatever is going on on the ground, they have certainly won the social media war.
There is an old adage that truth is the first casualty of war. But in the face of a brutal invader, does it matter if the Ukrainians can lie better than the Russians? One tweet stated: “True or not, this is EXACTLY the kind of inspiring story the resistance needs right now.”
But of course it matters. We don’t get to make up our own facts. Once you give up on the idea of truth, then everything is up for grabs. If our motivations, actions and ideals are based on lies, then what are we fighting for? The trouble is that by lying about some things, we give people reason to doubt everything we say. And those who want to deny the atrocities being committed by some of the Russians are given the justification they need. After all, in a post-truth world, everyone can now choose their own facts.
Meanwhile in the US, the Biden administration is to set up a Disinformation Governance Board to fight the spread of disinformation online. Many have noted the similarity to George Orwell’s idea of The Ministry of Truth in his prophetic novel, 1984. The novel’s hero, Winston Smith, works in The Ministry, whose role is to control information coming from news, entertainment, arts and education.
Authoritarian governments tend to have Ministries of Truth. Of course, we should all want to combat disinformation, but is a government ministry the way to do so? Nina Jankowicz, the newly appointed head of the Disinformation Governance Board, once argued that the Hunter Biden laptop story was part of a disinformation campaign by the Russians. The irony is not lost.
We are now living in a world where Big Tech companies have their own disinformation teams, choosing truth according to their own political and philosophical views; where Microsoft Word and Google are seeking to monitor our language so that we don’t use offensive terms like ‘mankind’ or ‘landlord’; and where telling lies for the sake of truth is considered acceptable.
Inconvenient truths (to the powerbrokers) can easily be dismissed as MDM (mis-, dis- and mal-information). If you control the Ministry of Truth, then the truth is whatever you want it to be.
What should the Christian response be to this great confusion about truth? We could be like the Psalmist who in his haste argued that ‘everyone is a liar” (Ps 116:11). Or we could accept what Jesus says – that it is the devil who is the father of lies (John 8:44). We could resolve to always speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We could become known for our integrity.
Just as society no longer trusts the media because it is assumed that everyone is lying, wouldn’t it be wonderful if people recognised that we spoke the truth – even when it seems harmful to us?
Sadly, too many churches and Christian organisations have their own version of ‘the Ministry of Truth’. In order to protect the brand, we can spin, distort and ignore as much as any in the ‘world’.
But there is a better way – the way of the Christ we profess to follow. Jesus promised that we would be made holy in the truth (John 17:17). We should wear the belt of truth (Ephesians 6:14). We know that lying lips are an abomination to the Lord (Proverbs 12:22). We know that love rejoices with the truth (1 Corinthians 13:6). We know that God’s word is truth. And we know that the truth is found in a person – Jesus Christ (John 14:6).
Our world needs freedom, but freedom cannot come by lies. Inspiring stories that are myths are useless. We won’t be set free by Disney or Hollywood. There is only one truth that can set us free – the truth of the Risen Christ. He is no ghost. He is for real. Indeed, he is the ultimate reality. The world desperately needs Christians to be ministers of that truth.
(Natural News) Rational, thinking Americans have for years suspected Joe Biden is as corrupt as his son, Hunter Biden, and brother, James Biden, but now smoking gun evidence has emerged that pretty much proves the point.
In fact, as PJ Media’s Matt Margolis notes, “According to financial records, Joe Biden has $5.2 million in ‘unexplained income’ that (by pure coincidence, of course) was acquired around the same time Hunter Biden was raking in big bucks from foreign business deals and earmarking ’10 percent for the Big Guy.'”
In addition, a separate report notes that the main business partner of Hunter Biden visited the Obama White House — when Joe Biden was vice president — several times, though Joe Biden has regularly claimed he did not know anything about his son’s various business ventures.
An informant from Arizona detailed in Dinesh D’Souza’s new documentary film “2,000 Mules” how she participated in an alleged illegal ballot harvesting operation during the 2020 general election.
Further, according to the movie, the scheme took place in not only Arizona, but also Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin.
These are all states that former President Donald Trump won in 2016 but flipped to Democrat President Joe Biden in 2020.
The vote integrity group True the Vote worked with D’Souza on “2,000 Mules.”
A mule is a term used in the movie for those who repeatedly picked up batches of ballots and placed them in drop boxes.
True the Vote used cellphone geotracking data to identify people who went to 10 or more drop boxes and five or more visits to nongovernmental organizations working on voter turnout during the the 2020 general election.
The mules followed a pattern of repeatedly going to drop box locations and back to offices of non-governmental organizations, where allegedly ballots were being collected. The movie called these locations “stash houses.”
The mules averaged 38 visits during the election nationwide, with an average of five ballots per visit. “That’s 380,000 illegal votes,” D’Souza says in “2,000 Mules.”

In Arizona, True the Vote identified 200 mules who averaged 20 drop box visits, with five ballots per drop. Allegedly this resulted 20,000 votes being illegally cast.
D’Souza noted that was more than Biden’s 10,457 vote margin of victory.
Using the mule threshold definition of 10 or more visits to drop boxes, Trump would have also won Georgia and Pennsylvania, but still lost Michigan and Wisconsin.
With just these three additional wins, he would have carried the Electoral College vote over Biden 279 to 259.
The 10 or more visits per mule is a very high threshold meant to eliminate any possibility the visits could have been happenstance.
To further guard against accidentally picking up people who happened to pass by drop box locations regularly, True the Vote bought cellphone data from October 1 into November, showing before, during and after election season.
Only those whose cellphones located them at drop boxes when voting was occurring were included in True the Vote’s data.
“Pings don’t lie,” True the Vote president Catherine Engelbrecht told Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk in a recent interview.
When True the Vote lowered the threshold for a mule from 10 or more visits to drop boxes to five or more, “this revealed a huge upsurge in the number of mules from 2,000 to 54,000,” D’Souza says in “2,000 Mules.”
Even assuming only three ballots per drop, the number of allegedly illegally cast ballots would shoot up from 380,000 to 810,000.
Under this calculation, Trump would have won all five swing states Biden flipped and his Electoral College victory would have been 305 to 233.
True the Vote’s Gregg Phillips interviewed an informant from Yuma County, Arizona who detailed how mules would drop off ballots and come in for what she assumed were weekly payments during the election.
The average number of trips per mule in the county was 31, according to Engelbrecht.
“I would get a call to find out how many ballots were brought in and if they were already pre-filled out first,” the informant, whose identity was hidden by altering her voice and not showing her face, told Phillips.
A woman “would come to the office, look at them. And then before she left, she would either take them herself, but other times she would ask me to drop them off at the library,” the information said.
The informant was told to go to that particular drop box because there were no surveillance cameras there.
The woman “wanted me to take it in the evening when it was dark, also,” according to the informant.
She put hundreds of ballots in the drop box herself, the informant told Phillips.
Engelbrecht said in “2,000 Mules” that the informant was cooperating with authorities.
Last month, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich released an interim report stating that fraud did occur on the 2020 election in Maricopa County.
Brnovich said in a letter to state Senate President Karen Fann that his Election Integrity Office found “instances of election fraud by individuals who have been or will be prosecuted for various election crimes.”
The review was not yet complete, so “we are therefore limited in what we can disclose about specific criminal and civil investigations,” he added.
The report did not give an indication of how widespread the fraud was.
Based on the information revealed in “2,000 Mules,” D’Souza argues the next step for law enforcement is clear.
In addition to cellphone data, True the Vote also has 4 million minutes of surveillance footage from drop boxes it obtained through public records requests.
“There’s an easy way to bust it, but it’s not the way you think,” he said.
“It’s not to go find the ballots in the ballot mix. You can’t do that. The way to find it is these guys have the cellphone identification of all the mules. All of them,” D’Souza continued. “So law enforcement has to step in at this point and their next step is to go and interview the mules. ‘Who paid you? Where’d you get the money?’”
Bank and cellphone records and offering immunity to the “small fish” to flip on the big ones would seem to be other ways officials could press the investigations — if they want to.
D’Souza concluded: “Today totalitarian regimes camouflage their fake elections with appearance of democracy, but they’re not real democracies. We don’t want to join them.”

International Man: What is the idea behind the so-called “Great Reset?”
Nick Giambruno: We’ve seen countless examples of the self-identified elite in the West using that term recently.
But let me first ask, who put these people in charge? Who anointed them the leaders of the world?
They’re not only talking about resetting the financial system but dramatically changing the nature of life.
I think something sinister is going on, and they’re not even trying to hide it anymore. It’s all in the open now.
So, let me try to summarize something incredibly complex.
These people recognize the current international monetary system based on the US dollar is on its way out. Even Jerome Powell, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, acknowledges that the US dollar’s supremacy is fading.
Although they would prefer to continue milking the current system, they realize it’s failing and the need to bridge the gap to a new system which they hope to control.
Nobody knows what the next international monetary system will look like—not even the elites. However, they know what they want it to look like.
They want a totalitarian control grid with central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), movement licenses, mandatory medical procedures, and a social credit system, among other nasty things.
Simply put, the Great Reset agenda is a high-tech, communist, global panopticon.
In short, they want total control over you in all domains—a new feudalism.
They’re emotionally manipulating people with fear and false narratives into accepting things they ordinarily wouldn’t—like their enslavement.
That’s what their Great Reset agenda is all about. It’s self-evidently anathema to personal freedom, human dignity, and self-determination.
Whether the self-proclaimed elites get all or some of those things is an open question.
The best scenario for mankind would be for most major governments to go bankrupt—which they are well on their way to—before they can implement the Great Reset agenda.
International Man: It seems changing the money so that governments can have more control over people is a big part of this plan. How do you see it?
Nick Giambruno: I see it like this.
Don’t let any government, whether it’s the US government, the Chinese government, or a global government entity like the IMF, tell you what money is.
Money does not need to come from the government. That’s a total misnomer that the average person has been brainwashed into believing.
It would be similar to transporting yourself back in time and asking the average person in the Soviet Union, “Where do shoes come from?”
They would say, “Well, the government makes the shoes. Where else could they come from? Who else could make the shoes?”
It’s the same mentality here regarding money today—except it’s much more widespread.
The truth is money doesn’t need to come from the government any more than shoes do.
People have used stones, glass beads, salt, cattle, seashells, gold, silver, and other commodities as money at different times.
However, for over 2,500 years, gold has been mankind’s most enduring form of money.
Gold didn’t become money by accident or because some politicians decreed it. Instead, it became money because countless individuals throughout history and across many different civilizations subjectively came to the same conclusion: gold is money.
It resulted from a market process of people looking for the best way to store and exchange value.
So, why did they go to gold? What makes gold attractive as money?
Gold has a set of unique characteristics that make it suitable as money.
Gold is durable, divisible, consistent, convenient, scarce, and most important, it’s the “hardest” of all physical commodities. In other words, gold is “hard to produce” relative to existing stockpiles and the one physical commodity most resistant to inflation. That’s what gives gold its monetary properties.
Bitcoin shares many of gold’s monetary characteristics. Like gold, Bitcoin does not have counterparty risk, and nobody can arbitrarily inflate the supply.
Here’s the bottom line.
I would encourage people to be sovereign individuals and recognize what works best for them as a vehicle to store and exchange value, rather than thoughtlessly accepting whatever the government gives them as money.
International Man: What makes government money dangerous?
Nick Giambruno: Governments reap enormous power from their racket of printing fake money out of thin air and forcing their citizens to use it. Whether it’s Venezuela, Lebanon, Argentina, or the US, it’s the same scam. It allows governments to act like vampires and feast on their citizens’ savings.
Imagine if you had that kind of immense power?
You could create something with little to no effort and then force everyone else to accept and use it as money. You could create paper wealth out of thin air and cut your enemies off from the economy. You’d be very powerful.
That’s why all governments treasure their monopoly on money.
Remember, government money is political money. It’s a potent tool to steal from and control you.
Consider what happened to the truckers in Canada in early 2022. With no due process or judicial review, the Canadian government seized their bank accounts at the flip of a switch. The government granted itself the power and made it a simple administrative task.
We will see many more of these kinds of actions—and more severe ones—soon.
Nick Giambruno: The incident with the truckers in Canada and other recent events have been stark illustrations of the dangers of government money.
On the other hand, they’ve been terrific advertisements for real money.
I’ve studied money, monetary policy, and monetary history. I’ve been to Zimbabwe, Argentina, Lebanon, and other countries that have experienced hyperinflation.
In my view, the most important attribute of money is that it is hard to produce—its “hardness.” In other words, something that is resistant to inflation.
Think of money like a claim on human time. It’s like stored life or energy.
Would you want to put that in something that somebody else can create with no effort or cost?
Of course, you wouldn’t.
It would be like storing your life savings in Chuck E. Cheese arcade tokens or airline frequent flyer miles. Putting your savings into government currencies isn’t that much different.
What you want to do is to put your money into something that someone else cannot make easily.
Here’s the bottom line.
The vast majority of humanity does not understand what makes for a good money. Instead, they’ve been hypnotized into believing something inferior—the scraps of paper or digital entries that governments can create with no effort—is good money.
It’s a sad state of affairs and one of the biggest swindles in human history.
To enact their Great Reset agenda, the elites count on the average person not understanding the issues around money. They are relying on people blindly swallowing their poisonous CBDCs.
The most effective thing the average person can do to fight against this agenda is not to store their life force in government currencies. That way, the government—and the elites behind them—cannot use inflation to siphon off your monetary energy to fund their nefarious plans.
The idea is to put a meaningful portion of your savings into hard assets, apolitical, neutral money that has no counterparty risk and is resistant to inflation.
I put physical gold coins in your possession, as well as Bitcoin, in that category. But only Bitcoin where you control the private keys and do not depend on the permission of a third party—like an exchange or custodian—to access your money.
Along with supporting Nazi-infested tyranny in Ukraine, Pelosi, the vast majority in Congress, the fake Biden and dominant regime hardliners are pushing things for crossing the line from US proxy war on Russia to direct confrontation.

President Joe Biden released a statement Tuesday demanding that abortion rights be codified into federal law.
The statement came after Politico leaked a Supreme Court draft opinion that indicated the court will overturn abortion precedents. Chief Justice John Roberts has confirmed that the draft is authentic.
What did Biden say?
The president called on lawmakers to pass legislation codifying abortion rights into federal law and urged that more “pro-choice” lawmakers be elected.
“[I]f the Court does overturn Roe, it will fall on our nation’s elected officials at all levels of government to protect a woman’s right to choose. And it will fall on voters to elect pro-choice officials this November,” Biden said.
“At the federal level, we will need more pro-choice senators and a pro-choice majority in the House to adopt legislation that codifies Roe, which I will work to pass and sign into law,” he added.
The president also claimed that Roe v. Wade should not be overturned because it “has been the law of the land for almost fifty years” and “basic fairness and the stability of our law” demand that it remain intact.
Such an argument is perhaps the weakest for not overturning Roe. In fact, nothing prevents the Supreme Court from overturning landmark decisions.
If justices complied with universal stare decisis (the legal doctrine of honoring court precedent), then segregation might still be legal. For example, when the Supreme Court ruled in Brown v. Board of Education in 1954 that segregation is unconstitutional, the court overturned the existing “law of the land,” the 1896 Supreme Court case Plessy v. Ferguson, a landmark ruling that said “separate but equal” was constitutional.
Still, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) vowed Tuesday to hold a vote on abortion legislation.
But what did Biden do before?
When Biden was a U.S. senator, he supported a proposed constitutional amendment that sought to overturn Roe v. Wade and do exactly what Alito suggested should happen regarding abortion rights: return the issue to state legislatures.
