They shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid. (Zephaniah 3:13)
Yesterday we thought of the afflicted and poor people whom the Lord left to be a living seed in a dead world. The prophet says of such that they shall not work iniquity nor speak lies. So that while they had neither rank nor riches to guard them, they were also quite unable to use those weapons in which the wicked place so much reliance: they could neither defend themselves by sin nor by subtlety.
What then? Would they be destroyed? By no means! They should both feed and rest and be not merely free from danger but even quiet from fear of evil. Sheep are very feeble creatures, and wolves are terrible enemies; yet at this hour sheep are more numerous than wolves, and the cause of the sheep is always winning, while the cause of the wolves is always declining. One day flocks of sheep will cover the plains, and not a wolf will be left. The fact is that sheep have a Shepherd, and this gives them provender, protection, and peace. “None”—which means not one, whether in human or diabolical form—”shall make them afraid.” Who shall terrify the Lord’s flock when He is near? We lie down in green pastures, for Jesus Himself is food and rest to our souls.
Some time about the year 760 B. C. in the middle of the reign of Jeroboam II., when the northern kingdom of Israel, Samaria, was at the height of its material prosperity, some time, that is, about the period of Jonah’s death, there came into Samaria a prophet of very different type. Jonah was probably educated in the prophetic “schools,” and rose to be the chief official prophet of his land. He was an Israelite, dwelling among his own nation and accepting his one foreign mission with the utmost reluctance. Amos, on the other hand, was a country toiler, a herdman of sheep and cattle, a laborer in the orchards, living in the southern kingdom of Judah, near Bethlehem, much as the shepherd boy David once had lived there.
Into the rude existence of Amos there came the summons of God, that the herdman should leave his home and journey into Samaria, there to prophesy as he was bid. Unlike Jonah, Amos accepted this duty with simple earnestness; the strength of his inspiration left no room in his mind for doubting or evasion or argument with God. He felt his lack of preparation; he explains it anxiously in his book; no other among the later prophets seems to have been so wholly a stranger to the schools. Yet the task laid upon Amos’ rugged shoulders was accomplished, not only boldly but wisely, eloquently, and with a force and fire that stirred Israel to its deeps.

My prayer is that this brief blog series would help you commit yourself to learning prayerfully what Scripture says about worship, and that you would experience, as did I, a fresh encounter with our God.
“Finally, by brothers, rejoice in the Lord…” Philippians 3:1
The apostle Paul could rejoice while everything crumbled. So can you.
The last two years have been, to say the least, a bit much. A global pandemic cut short millions of lives and wrought innumerable other hardships whose scope and damage we cannot yet quantify. A climate in crisis whose degrees of alarm range from disturbing dismissal to unhinged panic. A European war that’s featured unspeakable atrocities, displaced millions, and set the world on edge with the looming threat that it could spiral into something far worse.
These are just the issues that have affected everyone. They don’t count the suffering and difficulty we each face at a personal level, multiplied 7 billion times over.
So when we come to a verse like Philippians 3:1, it can understandably ring hollow. How can one rejoice when the world seems to be falling apart?
A glimpse at the context, however, reveals that the Christians at Philippi who received this exhortation lived under similar world-falling-apart circumstances: The imprisonment of the apostle Paul, author of this letter and planter of the Philippian church (and many others). A Roman empire growing more tyrannical and beginning to see this new Christian movement as a threat. A religious tradition, Judaism, out of which this new movement had arisen, that resented and sought to destroy it and its devotees. A cultural setting rife with idolatry, promiscuity, and barbarism.
When these words were penned, roughly 30 years after Christ’s earthly life, the Christian movement was akin to a small raft bobbing along in a thrashing sea. It isn’t difficult to envision these believers feeling a visceral sense of threat. They didn’t have the hindsight of history; the possibility that their movement would be stamped out, and the dread and despair that would accompany such a danger, would have been powerful and real.
Into this context Paul writes, “rejoice in the Lord.”
What? From where did he receive the audacity to make such a pronouncement?
He gives us a glimpse in verses 10 and 11: “that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection of the dead.”
Christ’s resurrection changed the game. Suffering, particularly persecution, meant deeper identification with Christ; an opportunity to know him more closely. Imprisonment—or any “setback” Paul or any believer might endure—would only result in advancing the gospel (Philippians 1:12). Even death itself would only be a shortcut to the glorious presence of Christ and our future resurrection. All sources of unspeakable joy.
The resurrection was proof that the movement would endure, death would be turned to life, and that God was powerful and loving enough to turn any evil into a good.
This is still true today. So we can stare in the face of dire world circumstances and whatever personal hardships arise and dance with joy. God is good, he is for us, and he is in control. No matter what.
The resurrection is our surefire certainty of this, our ace in the hole.
Heavenly Father, thank you for the death and resurrection of Jesus. Not only are they sufficient for my forgiveness and salvation, they are irrevocable proof of your ultimate victory and your ongoing work to bring good out of even the worst situations I face. Help me to rejoice in you in the midst of the hardships I’ll encounter today, so that I might have increased hope and opportunities to offer that hope to those around me. Amen.
What hardships and stressors burden you today? Take a few moments to bring them before God in prayer and make a conscious choice to rejoice—in God’s redemptive work in their midst, in the growth in you they will produce, in how they help you identify more with Jesus, in the future resurrection in whose shadow these hardships will seem so distant. What may be other sources of joy in their midst?

The only person dissatisfied at the sparing of Nineveh was the prophet Jonah. He had been bidden declare its destruction; he had done so in full confidence. Now his prophesying had failed. Being still a selfish and self-centered man, the prophet went forth from the city in furious anger. Clearly, his experiences had taught him only of God’s power; he had still to learn the tenderness of Divine love. So as Jonah sank exhausted under the combined heat of his own passion and the torrid sun, God caused a gourd tree to grow up in a single night there amid the sands. It sheltered Jonah, and the prophet was grateful for its shade. But the next night the gourd withered; and Jonah, tortured and miserable once more, lamented its loss, crying out for death. Then came the words of Divine teaching, Jonah would have spared a mere tree because it comforted him; “And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?”
So ends the brief Book of Jonah; but we learn from Second Kings that Jonah afterward became a true teacher and leading prophet in his own laud of Israel, chief counsellor of the great king, Jeroboam II.

The Heidelberg Catechism is one of the most beloved and well used catechisms to emerge from the sixteenth and seventeenth century Reformation. Published in its final form in 1563, the catechism has been used by millions of Christians to teach the faith to children and adults alike. Arranged in 52 Lord’s Days (Sundays) the catechism takes the Christian through the basics of the Christian faith (our creation, fall, redemption, new life in Christ, and glorification). It explains the Apostles’ Creed, the Ten Commandments, and the Lord’s Prayer. It is a treasure. To encourage listeners and readers, we expect to post one question and answer a day on the HB. Voyager 1 glitch? Strange signals from venerable probe has NASA baffled
The glitch has to do with Voyager 1’s attitude articulation and control system, or AACS, which keeps the spacecraft and its antenna in the proper orientation. And the AACS seems to be working just fine, since the spacecraft is receiving commands, acting on them and sending science data back to Earth with the same signal strength as usual. Nevertheless, the AACS is sending the spacecraft’s handlers junk telemetry data.
Did Ronald Reagan really believe Russia would one day attack Israel, based on the writings of the ancient Hebrew prophet Ezekiel? Yes. Here’s the remarkable story about Reagan’s fascination with Ezekiel 38 and 39
With the Russian invasion of Ukraine, resulting in the biggest land war in Europe since World War II, there has been a great deal of speculation about whether any of this has prophetic implications. Specifically, many Christians – as well as others – are speculating whether we are likely to see the “War of Gog & Magog,” as described in the biblical book of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39, actually unfold in the not-so-distant future. The prophecy itself was written nearly 2,600 years ago, and has not yet come to pass.
Event 202: What are Smallpox Pandemic Simulations Foreshadowing?
As the United States announces its first confirmed domestic cases of monkeypox in 2022, parallels between what led up to the COVID-19 pandemic appear to be eerily similar. Germany has chosen to enact a similar exercise concerning an outbreak of smallpox, hosting health ministers from other G7 nations. in the United States, on the very day that the CDC confirmed a case of monkeypox in Massachusetts, the US Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (“BARDA”) announced it would purchase approximately 13 million doses of the freeze-dried version of the JYNNEOS smallpox vaccine from Bavarian Nordic, a vaccine manufacturer based out of Denmark. The purchase order comes just one month after the company’s RSV vaccine entered a phase 3 clinical trial.

‘Mission Impossible’ becomes ‘Mission Achieved’ with first-ever multi-faith forum in Saudi Arabia
Since the death of Prophet Mohammed more than 1,000 years ago, not one multi-faith gathering had been held in the Arabian Peninsula. That is why it was such a shock for me to witness the moment that the Muslim World League successfully broke the taboo and made it happen. The Forum on Common Values among Religious Followers, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was an event I thought would never occur in my lifetime. History was made as 90 leaders of five prominent religions came together at one table in the center of two holy Muslim mosques.

Prominent Israeli rabbi eviscerates American abortion agenda, compares it to Rome
Chief rabbi of Safed Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu blasted America’s Left on Tuesday, calling out progressive Democrats over their abortion ideology. Rabbi Eliyahu, who is among the most respected rabbis in the religious-zionist community, criticized the Left-wing American on the backdrop of a US Supreme Court draft that dealt with the ruling in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case. Rabbi Eliyahu lamented abortion and cautioned that abortion on demand raises ethical questions about the premise of the sin of murder. “The meaning of this is that their court nullified the legal right of a mother to murder her kids, the right of a doctor to chop up a live fetus into pieces inside a woman’s body so it could be removed piece by piece.”

So-called “violence interrupters,” civilian activists designed to deescalate volatile situations without police involvement, cannot be dispatched to 911 emergencies according to a city spokesperson. Crime Watch Minneapolis recorded audio of Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) officers requesting violence interrupters at the scene of a double homicide where a crowd was becoming volatile on Saturday. After asking twice, officers were told that dispatch can’t get ahold of the activists. “We’re not able to get in touch with the violence interrupters, we’re checking but I don’t know if there’s a way to get into contact with them,” a dispatcher was heard saying on the radio.

Techniques Used To “Mind Control” Manchurian Candidates To Carry Out False Flag Shootings (Ie Payton Gendron)
Doug Thornton and myself do not believe that Payton Gendron acted alone. Nor, do we believe that he wrote the 180page Manifesto. We believe that when he was institutionalized for mental illness, for threatening to shoot up his school, he was recruited, and mind control techniques were used on him which culminated in the shooting up of the Tops store and the murder of 10 innocent people. Why was this done? It was done to create a narrative for Biden to chip away at the 1st and 2nd Amendment to the Constitution. Below are soe of the methods used “recruit” people thorugh mind control.

Even such late-to-the-game lickspittles as NBC News are now coming to grips with the truth.
When it comes to news that’s deleterious to the Democrats’ cause, NBC News and the other mainstream media organs are what we might call woefully lagging indicators. By the time they report it, the rest of us have already known about it for years.
Take Spygate, for example, which all sentient beings have known to be a hoax and a dirty trick since early 2017, when then-House Intel Committee Chairman Devin Nunes alerted President Donald Trump that the Obama administration had been spying on him.
Or take the incriminating contents of Hunter Biden’s MacBook Pro, which the New York Post made available to the world (which includes the mainstream media) in mid-October of 2020, but which Twitter and Facebook decided to censor and suppress as a decisive in-kind contribution to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, and which NBC News and the rest of the mainstream media reflexively dismissed as “Russian disinformation.”
Which brings us to yesterday, a mere 582 days after the Post broke the story about Hunter’s influence peddling with the Communist Chinese. Thursday, we learned the following from a team of crack journalists at NBC News:
From 2013 through 2018 Hunter Biden and his company brought in about $11 million via his roles as an attorney and a board member with a Ukrainian firm accused of bribery and his work with a Chinese businessman now accused of fraud, according to an NBC News analysis of a copy of Biden’s hard drive and iCloud account and documents released by Republicans on two Senate committees. The documents and the analysis, which don’t show what he did to earn millions from his Chinese partners, raise questions about national security, business ethics and potential legal exposure.
B-b-b-b-b-b-b-but wait. Wasn’t that all just Russian disinformation?
Eleven million bucks is a lot of money, and here Fox News analyst Buck Sexton notes that any company hiring Hunter Biden based on merits and qualifications defies common sense, suggesting there had to be more at play than his skill set. “Who pays a drug addict and — let’s be honest — an irresponsible imbecile, a crack-using, stripper-impregnating guy $11 million dollars for his advice?” he rhetorically asked.
The report also noted this: “The Republicans on the Senate Finance and Homeland Security committees, then chaired by Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, respectively, issued their first report on Biden’s business dealings in September 2020.” Thus, we were told about Hunter Biden’s influence peddling while his dad was vice president even before the Post’s bombshell.
But from NBC and its MSM fellow travelers? Crickets. Tumbleweeds. Bupkis.
Here it would help to recall the words of Joe Biden, who during a 2019 campaign event in Iowa told Fox News’s Peter Doocy, “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”
“Never,” as we’ve noted before, is an easy word to fact-check, and we now know for a fact that Joe Biden was lying when he said that. Unless his handlers want to claim he was non compos mentis when he said it, which we suppose is plausible, given his addled state. But barring that, we know of at least a dozen times when Joe Biden was directly involved in his son’s overseas business dealings.
My son has not made money in terms of this thing about, what are you talking about, China. The only guy who made money from China is this guy [pointing to Donald Trump]. He’s the only one. Nobody else has made money from China.
So, why is NBC coming clean only now? Perhaps to manage the timing of this damaging news; to get it out of the way ahead of time and thereby shield the president and his party as much as possible ahead of the 2022 midterms.
As for Hunter Biden, we should note that he’s “cooperating completely” with a federal investigation in Delaware that has been probing his business dealings. “And,” he says, “I’m absolutely certain, 100 percent certain, that at the end of the investigation, I will be cleared of any wrongdoing.”
“One hundred percent certain”? What does Hunter Biden know that we don’t?
When Americans demand accountability, all Democrats can supply is deceitful blame-shifting.
Inflation has been running at roughly 2% for decades, but Democrats want you to believe that when prices began skyrocketing in 2021 it was because corporations suddenly became “greedy.” What we’re experiencing now, they tell us, is not Bidenflation but “greedflation.” And Democrats intend to lower your prices by raising prices on businesses. If that sounds nuts to you, well, you might be as smart as a fifth grader.
Of course, Democrats aren’t fools. “Many of the Democrats who are scapegoating greedy businesses for inflation do not actually believe it,” argues the Manhattan Institute’s Brian Riedl. “But they hope you will.” That’s because a true anti-inflation agenda would involve reducing the size, scope, and spending of government, which is utterly antithetical to Democrat plans and power.
“Greed. Greed. Greed,” says Bernie “Bread Lines Are Good” Sanders. “The problem is not inflation. The problem is corporate greed.” His pal Elizabeth Warren sounded the same deceitful note, saying, “Giant corporations are making record profits by increasing prices, and CEOs are saying the quiet part out loud: they’re happy to help drive inflation.”
That’s why House Democrats just passed a bill aimed at stopping oil companies from “price gouging” at the gas pump. And that’s why Warren and several of her fellow Democrat conspiracy theorists have introduced the Price Gouging Prevention Act to fight “gouging” by fining companies they believe are guilty of it. The bill doesn’t define gouging, other than “unconscionably excessive” price increases based on … the judgment of Democrats or their bureaucratic minions at the Federal Trade Commission. Worse, businesses will be “presumed to be in violation” if they use “the effects or circumstances related to the exceptional market shock as a pretext to increase prices.” The penalty could be up to 5% of revenue.
These Democrats “want to punish companies that raise prices more than they like,” say the editors of The Wall Street Journal. “The result would be price controls by another name, and they would produce what price controls always do — supply shortages.”
Also remember this: Taxes on corporations are taxes on the American people. Any increased costs for businesses will be passed on to consumers.
Capitalism is all about maximizing profits, but Sanders, Warren, & Co. are demagogues of the worst order. Businesses didn’t suddenly decide to start gouging customers last year and to keep doing it at an increasing rate so far this year. So, was there something else that happened in 2021 that could possible explain runaway inflation?
Ah, yes. The American Rescue Plan, through which greedy politicians yet again injected trillions of dollars into a rapidly recovering economy. That $1.9 trillion came after trillions of other supposedly COVID-relief spending that exacerbated demand for a pool of goods and services made smaller by pandemic restrictions and supply chain disruption.
“Current inflation is primarily driven by rising demand,” as Riedl points out. “This should be obvious after the Federal Reserve poured $4.8 trillion into the economy during the pandemic, and federal subsidies increased family savings by $2.7 trillion over the baseline projection in just two years.” Democrats wanted even more with the Build Back Better boondoggle. “They failed,” noted billionaire Amazon owner Jeff Bezos, “but if they had succeeded, inflation would be even higher than it is today, and inflation today is at a 40-year high.”
Corporations aren’t running big deficits like greedy politicians are. Corporations aren’t printing money and doling it out to constituents like greedy politicians are. So spare us the sanctimonious lectures about “greedflation.”
Unfortunately, while Sanders and Warren lost the presidential primary to the supposedly more moderate Joe Biden, their policies have had a nasty habit of becoming his. Just last week, he too accused corporations of “price gouging” as part of his pass-the-buck blamefest on inflation, and he wants to raise corporate taxes as a “solution.” Don’t be surprised if Democrats become even more unified in angling to punish corporations as the 2022 midterms draw near.
Census miscounts favor Democrats, China tips its hand on Taiwan, Netflix dumps several woke shows, and more.
Thomas Gallatin & Jordan Candler
Top of the Fold
- Census miscounts favor Democrats: The U.S. Census Bureau reported that it miscounted 14 states’ population numbers for the 2020 census. Of those 14 states, eight were overcounted while six were undercounted. Interestingly, the majority of the states whose populations were overcounted are blue states, whereas the majority of those that were undercounted just happen to be heavily Republican. The state with the highest overcount was Hawaii (+6.8%), whereas the state with the greatest undercount was Arkansas (-5%). The rest of the overcounted states included Delaware, Rhode Island, Minnesota, New York, Utah, Massachusetts, and Ohio. The undercounted states were Texas, Illinois, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, and the aforementioned Arkansas. Clearly, this miscounting could have significant implications for these states’ representation in Congress, even though the Census Bureau insisted that the miscounts would have no impact on the House or Electoral College. We’re just supposed to take the word of those who miscounted in the first place.
- China tips its hand on Taiwan while a network of retired lawmakers’ CCP connection is exposed: It’s no secret that Beijing has its eyes set on taking the island nation of Taiwan through the use of force. The question has been not one of if, but when China will act. Given how poorly Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine has gone, including the world’s raising of severe sanctions against Russia, Beijing has taken note. Chinese strongman Xi Jinping instructed top-level government officials to shed their overseas assets. In other words, the order is for government officials to insulate themselves from potential international sanctions. Clearly, Xi has not changed his mind about “complete reunification” with Taiwan. Meanwhile, it’s been revealed that a number of former U.S. lawmakers have been working to boost the Chinese Communist Party’s influence in America. A nonpartisan transparency group called Project on Government Oversight observed the existence of a “shadow lobbying operation” between the Association of Former Members of Congress, the Capitol Counsel, and the Exchange Foundation that peddles CPP propaganda in Washington. The Exchange Foundation is a think tank that has deep ties to both Democrats and the Chinese government.
- Netflix dumps several woke shows: Following Netflix executives’ memo to employees to essentially get tolerant or get lost, the streaming giant made more moves that appear to go against the Left’s woke doctrine. Netflix pulled the plug on several woke shows that had been in the works, including one from Ibram X. Kendi titled “Antiracist Baby” intended for preschoolers. Netflix also dropped Kendi’s “Stamped: Racism, Antiracism and You.” On top of that, Netflix announced that it is canceling Megan Markle’s planned feminist animation series intended for children that was about a 12-year-old girl’s voyage of self-discovery as she encountered famous women in history. Netflix insisted that the decision to dump these shows was not based upon a monetary motivation but was rather creative-based. Maybe, but there’s no denying that Netflix has experienced a drop in subscribers and revenue, and that reality was underscored by the fact that it laid off roughly 150 U.S.-based employees last week.

A leaked memo suggests that the most likely source for violence following SCOTUS’s Dobbs decision will come from the Right.
The Biden administration is concerned about violence after the U.S. Supreme Court issues its ruling that could overturn Roe v. Wade. Indeed, the unprecedented leak of the Court’s likely decision unleashed a wave of pro-abortion activists illegally targeting the homes of six Republican-appointed justices for protesting and harassment. Joe Biden’s Justice Department did nothing about it. There was vandalism against churches and pro-life centers, too, with a collective shrug. Not to worry, though: Team Biden is on the trail of violence … from right-wingers.
According to a leaked memo, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security is preparing for potential violence coming from the Right — those pro-life extremists.
According to Axios, the draft memo states in part, “Some racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists’ embrace of pro-life narratives may be linked to the perception of wanting to ‘save white children’ and ‘fight white genocide.’” It’s those rotten white supremacists again. (Never mind the fact that abortion takes a far higher percentage of black lives.)
The atrocity last weekend in Buffalo, New York, was committed by a crazed young leftist. He seemingly expressed white supremacist views but was clearly not an individual motivated by right-wing political beliefs. Is he one of the “white supremacists” the DHS is so concerned about?
That seems to be the play. So, is the Biden administration now finally admitting that the whole “white supremacist” perspective actually flows from an extreme leftist authoritarian faction of the political spectrum rather than coming from the Right?
This memo would only make sense if that were its consideration based on the leak. Logically, such a decision would not anger pro-life activists; just the opposite would be the case. It’s preposterous to insinuate that the most likely source of violence will come from pro-life activists.
Meanwhile, the memo attempts to shrug off the repeated threatening comments made by those on the Left, as it states, “The mere advocacy of political or social positions, political activism, use of strong rhetoric, or generalized philosophic embrace of violent tactics does not constitute domestic violent extremism or illegal activity and is constitutionally protected.” In other words, when those on the Left are protesting and raising threatening comments against the Court, it’s just a matter of free speech. What happened to the Left’s “speech is violence” sloganeering?
Hopefully, when SCOTUS does hand down its ruling, likely overturning Roe, cooler heads will prevail and there will be no violence. But this memo by DHS is an attempt to poison the well by suggesting ahead of time that if there is any violence that arises following the decision, it will be the fault of pro-lifers on the Right. Thanks, President Unity.
It’s a lot of money, and it doesn’t do anything to alleviate the suffering here at home.

Recently, you might have seen your neighbors flying the sky-blue-and-yellow national flag of Ukraine. Supporting that battered but resilient country is popular these days, as it should be.
Individuals, organizations, and businesses nationwide are courting donations to help the Ukrainian people endure these hardships. And it’s all but impossible not to feel compassion for those whose homes, towns, and families have been devastated by Russia’s unprovoked invasion. Americans are good people. We don’t like seeing the innocent being pillaged by despots anywhere in the world. We also have legitimate national security interest in stopping Russian imperialism.
Then again, we have our own problems here at home. And our leaders don’t seem to care.
Americans are, right now, having trouble putting gas in the tank and food on the table. Mothers can’t find baby formula for their infants. Our big cities are being ravaged by drugs and crime. Our roads and bridges are crumbling despite decades of “infrastructure spending” by Congress. And our southern border is practically nonexistent thanks to Joe Biden.
Yet this week, the U.S. Senate passed, in bipartisan fashion, a $40 billion aid package for Ukraine — a package Biden requested and is expected to sign.
Before the bill emerged from the Senate, Heritage Action put things in perspective: “America is struggling with record-setting inflation, debt, a porous border, crime and energy depletion yet progressives in Washington are prioritizing a $40 billion aid package to Ukraine — more than the entire annual budget of the U.S. Department of Justice.”
What does $40 billion cover? According to National Review:
The bill — termed the Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2022 — passed 86-11 and would provide Ukraine with $20.1 billion in direct military aid, which will be used to obtain U.S.-made weapons systems such as Patriot and Stinger surface-to-air missiles, and Javelin anti-tank missiles, used to destroy Russian armored columns and military aircraft. It also provides $8 billion in economic assistance, $5 billion in food aid, and $1 billion to support refugees who have fled country, which the U.N. estimates to be over six million people.
We’d certainly argue over the wisdom of certain allocations, but the bottom line is that we don’t have the money. Unless we borrow it from China.
Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul temporarily blocked the measure in the Senate, but it wasn’t enough. “We cannot save Ukraine by dooming the United States economy,” he said. “This bill under consideration would spend $40 billion. This is the second spending bill for Ukraine in two months, and this bill is three times larger than the first.”
Paul also argued, “It’s threatening our own national security, and it’s frankly a slap in the face to millions of taxpayers who are struggling to buy gas, groceries, and find baby formula.”
Of course, many people in Congress and on social media criticized Paul for downplaying the gravity of the situation. They claim we must do whatever is necessary to stop Russia from threatening Europe and the United States.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz, among others, is fully on board with the spending, having warned that our refusal to fund Ukraine would threaten our national security, make Americans less safe and secure, and might force us to spend much more down the road. “The reason we should support our Ukrainian allies who are fighting and killing Russian soldiers is because it protects American national security,” he said. “It keeps America safer, and it prevents our enemies from getting stronger.”
Likewise, as The Wall Street Journal notes, this money isn’t merely for military hardware. It will also aid that war-torn nation in other ways and will send a message to China that aggression against the West will come with a price tag.
In terms of politics, the issue is splintering the Republican Party between its America First and Interventionist factions.
Clearly, both sides have valid arguments. But there’s one aspect of the debate that sticks out: accountability. According to Heritage Action, “The legislation does not include several important measures — there are no spending offsets, no accountability for where each dollar will be spent, and no guarantees for equal contributions from European neighbors. Additionally, the aid package only lasts through September of this year, meaning Congress will be expected to reconsider the legislation after only about three months.”
For now, the debate is over, as this $40 billion just needs Joe Biden’s signature. But important questions linger. Will it be the last aid package? Will it really be enough to help Ukraine fend off Russia? When will Europe get its act together and solve its own problems? And, finally, when will this president and this Congress see fit to focus on America’s problems?
Few in Washington are asking these questions.
The Happiest Place on Earth is finding out what happens when it alienates parents.
Disney’s approval rating is dropping like a sinking stone. Media strategist Giancarlo Sopo wrote: “Yikes. I’ve polled Disney and cannot emphasize enough how abysmal these numbers are for them. Disney’s name ID is 100%. Their fav/unfav rating was 77-21 (+56) last year. Their pos-neg rating is now 33-30 (or +3). Entertainment brand ratings shouldn’t be on par w/ politicians.” In other words, for a company that everyone knows to drop from a 77% approval rating to 33% is a disaster.
And it’s a well-earned disaster on Disney’s part.
According to Christopher Rufo, the reporter who has been breaking story after story about the corruption within, Disney has long been folding to the woke agenda. In the wake of 2020’s rise in critical race theory rhetoric, it started using that nonsense to “dismantle … white privilege.” This “anti-racism” training, though divisive, politically motivated, and a corrupt worldview, is not the lowest to which Disney has sunk.
This year, Disney CEO Bob Chapek caved to the wokesters within his company and came out against the Parental Rights in Education bill in Florida. This bill — which is popular amongst Floridians — prohibits the teaching of sex and sexuality to children in K-3 classrooms. But the media and the leftist groomers tried to sell outrage toward it by dubbing it the “Don’t Say Gay” bill. Disney bought the lie, and in taking a public stand against it, it began to alienate parents already struggling to find places where their children’s innocence would remain intact.
Disney’s overt defection to the radical Left was bad enough, but it was made worse when a video was leaked (again to Christopher Rufo) of Disney executives talking about their “not-at-all-secret gay agenda.” The radical leftist agenda is tainting everything it touches. It’s like graffiti marring a mural of street art that beautifies the community. It takes something that people enjoy and destroys it.
Parents have had it.
Frankly, most Americans are sick and tired of business kowtowing to left-wing politics. In a poll conducted by The Trafalgar Group and Convention of States Action, the result was that almost 90% of Americans want corporations to stop getting involved in politics. As The Daily Caller notes, “The findings were not unique to any individual political group, as independents (82.6%), Democrats (84.5%) and Republicans (93.4%) all stated they were likely to stop using a product or service of any company that openly advocates for political agendas they disagree with.”
But has Disney gotten the message? Not at all. It is now launching a children’s clothing line called “Disney Pride Collection” whose profits will go to LGBTQ+ organizations.
What is infuriating to parents is that these companies have no respect for values, norms, or the sanctity of innocence. Woke corporations like Disney think they can get away with this because they have found that people have short memories; because as a corporation it’s more important for them to have a good Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) score; and because the wokesters are banking on the next generation of kids that they have already succeeded in indoctrinating to continue their corrupt agenda.
Don’t let them win. Unsubscribe to Disney+, boycott the parks, don’t buy anything with the Disney logo attached to it, and sign Christopher Rufo’s petition.

He issued a 60-day halt on all new oil and gas leases and drilling permits on federal lands and waters — that’s nationwide. That accounts, by the way, for 25% of U.S. oil production. The so-called “clinical trials” that Pfizer conducted on its messenger RNA (mRNA) Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) “vaccine” appear to have been completely fraudulent, which means the company could one day be held liable for all associated injuries and deaths.
Documents released in November 2021 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as part of a court-mandated information dump reveal that enrollment at one particular trial site happened at warp speed, just in time to meet the safety deadline for the FDA’s VRBPAC meeting on Dec. 10, 2020.
This meeting is where the FDA discussed granting Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for the Pfizer-BioNTech injection in people 16 years of age and older. (Related: The contents of the Pfizer jab were recently shown to “stick” to bodily organs.)
“The allegedly suspicious-looking clinical trial data surrounds ‘the biggest recruiter by far,’ site 1231 (site 4444 was assigned site id 1231) in Argentina,” reported Undercover DC.
