Longing for the Past | Today in the Word Devotional

download(size: 0 MB )
Often, we don’t appreciate what we have until it’s gone. As I am writing this, my ankle is in a walking cast. The experience has made me long for the days when I could walk normally, and I look forward to being able to do so soon! Psalm 138 is written from the perspective of those living outside Israel. We can be sure that the exiles longed for all that was in their past. They were surrounded by opposing beliefs and cultural practices. But instead of being tempted to give in and worship the gods of foreign lands, David declares that “before the ‘gods’ I will sing your praise” (v. 1). You and I also live in a culture surrounded by other gods, including wealth, influence, pleasure, and power. When we praise God as being the sole object worthy of praise, we are also naming and condemning the idols and idol worship that surrounds us. Only one way is the true way. Perhaps because of the exposure to other gods, the Psalmist has a deepened appreciation for the God of Israel. He recounts what makes our God unique: “Though the LORD is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly; though lofty, he sees them from afar” (v. 6). Although God is the Creator of the universe and Lord of all people, he still cares for and sees the humble. God’s compassion and faithfulness to His covenant is on full display. Because of God’s greatness, the Psalmist prays, “May all the kings of the earth praise you, LORD, when they hear what you have decreed” (v. 4). He desires that people from all the nations will join him in worshiping the God of Israel. >> We can be grateful that we worship the one, true and living God! Today, reflect on God’s compassion and care. He sees and knows you (v. 6). Remember the times He has delivered you in the past (v. 3) and anticipate His faithfulness now and in the future.

Dwelling Safely Apart — VCY America

Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew, (Deuteronomy 33:28)

The more we dwell alone, the more safe shall we be. God would have His people separate from sinners, His call to them is, “Come ye out from among them.” A Christian world is such a monstrosity as the Scriptures never contemplate. A worldly Christian is spiritually diseased. Those who compromise with Christ’s enemies may be reckoned with them.

Our safety lies, not in making terms with the enemy, but in dwelling alone with our Best Friend. If we do this, we shall dwell in safety despite the sarcasms, the slanders, and the sneers of the world. We shall be safe from the baleful influence of its unbelief, its pride, its vanity, its filthiness.

God also will make us dwell in safety alone in that day when sin shall be visited on the nations by wars and famines. The Lord brought Abram from Ur of the Chaldees, but Abram stopped halfway. He had no blessing till, having set out to go to the land of Canaan, to the land of Canaan he came, He was safe alone even in the midst of foes. Lot was not safe in Sodom though in a circle of friends. Our safety is in dwelling apart with God.

May 22 – The law and our expression of gratitude — Reformed Perspective

“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.” – Exodus 20:2-3 (NKJV)

Scripture reading: Deuteronomy 5:1-7

Each Sunday we are reminded that God’s law reveals our guilt. But the law also serves as a rule of gratitude, enabling us to express our thankfulness to God for His deliverance from sin. We see that truth in the prologue to the Ten Commandments. The prologue sets the stage for the commandments. It is only after the people are reminded that God delivered them from Egypt (6; Exodus 20:1-2) that they are given the first commandment, “You shall have no other gods before Me.”

And just as the LORD delivered Israel from bondage in Egypt, so too, He has delivered us from our bondage to sin and misery. He has delivered us from the tyranny of the devil, who is a far worse taskmaster than Pharaoh ever was. Just as Israel was given the law to express her gratitude to the LORD for deliverance, so are we.

That is a distinctively Reformed view (as we are Reformed to Scripture) of God’s moral law. We see the law in three ways: It drives us to Christ as we see our sin. The law restrains evil in society. And, for those who have true saving faith in Christ, the law serves as a rule of gratitude, a way to live obedient lives that express praise to God for delivering us from our sin.

This Sunday, and always, may we see our guilt in the light of the law, our redemption in Christ, and then strive to live in obedience to God’s commandments out of gratitude!

Suggestions for prayer

Pray for increasing obedience, that by it you may express your gratitude to God. And thank Him that He loves you even though your obedience is far from perfect in this life. Praise Him that throughout eternity our obedience will be perfect!

The Bible and its Story: The Assyrians in Samaria

From the thought of sin, Hosea turns to that of punishment. What Amos proclaimed only vaguely, Hosea says positively. Assyria, that terrific and brutal power fast rising to supremacy in the Euphrates valley, Assyria is to be the instrument of God’s vengeance. The Samaritans, said Hosea, were no longer such warriors as of yore; luxury had enfeebled Israel. “Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not.” With this keen warning, Hosea passes on to remind the people that their own generals, rivals in their wicked civil wars, were appealing to Assyria for support. Thus the Assyrian armies had been brought into Samaria by the selfish folly of her own sons. The result seemed to the prophet inevitable. “The Assyrian shall be his king.… And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour them, because of their own counsels.”

‎Yet even the despairing Hosea sees beyond all this to a time when God shall release His people from captivity, and they shall rebuild their temple. “They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon.”

2 Samuel 1:8 – Did the Amalekite kill Saul or did Saul kill Saul? From GotQuestions:

The clear answer from the biblical text is that Saul killed himself and that the Amalekite’s story was a fabrication. The biblical text records the story the Amalekite gave but does not affirm it as true….

This would be the correct order of events: Saul is wounded in battle and then kills himself by falling on his own sword. An Amalekite comes across his dead body and takes his crown and armlet. The next day, the Philistines find Saul’s body, behead him, strip him of his armor, send the report, and fasten his body to the wall of Beth Shan (1 Samuel 31:10).

John 12:24-26 – Listening to Jesus must have been difficult. Fruit comes from dying. Loving life loses it. Hating life keeps it. Servants are honoured. The Eternal will die (John 12:34). The God who opened the eyes of the blind (Matthew 9:30). But He blinded the eyes of the seeing (John 12:40).

John 12:37 – Notice the different groups. The uncircumcised outsider Greeks wanting to learn (John 12:21). The Hebrew crowd who saw miracles but didn’t believe (John 12:37). The chief rulers who believed but didn’t confess (John 12:42-43). Very few fall into the category of a vocal believer.

Psalm 15:28 – Interesting parallel to Proverbs 10:19.

The Impact of Prayer – In Touch – May 21/22 — Christianity.com

Prayer is the lifeblood of an intimate relationship with the Father. But believers often have questions about its power and effectiveness.

The Impact of Prayer

1 Thessalonians 5:17-18

Prayer is the lifeblood of an intimate relationship with the Father. But believers often have questions about its power and effectiveness. Don’t hesitate to take your queries to the Lord, dig into Scripture for answers, and seek the counsel of a trusted spiritual mentor. Prayer is too important to neglect.

Will God’s plans fail if I don’t pray? God is not subservient to believers or dependent upon their prayers. The time we invest in speaking with Him involves us in the work that He is doing in our lives and in the world, but He will carry on without us. Laboring alongside the Lord is our privilege.

Does my prayer (or lack thereof) impact God’s work? I believe that Scripture indicates the answer to this question is both yes and no, depending upon the situation. There are times when God’s purpose is set. He is in control and has determined the best course. In the Old Testament, the Lord often prophesied what He would do and then brought those events to pass.

In other cases, “you do not have because you do not ask” (James 4:2). There are some good things that He holds back until we put out prayerful hands to receive them. But because God is a loving Father, He also pours our blessings that we wouldn’t even think to request.

Believer’s prayers have tremendous impact, particularly on their own faith and life. Do you understand what an awesome privilege it is to kneel before the all-powerful Father and know that He listens and will respond? God loves to be good to His children and answer their prayers.

May 22 Evening Verse of The Day

125:2 The psalm emphasizes the protection of Zion and her inhabitants as the Lord’s chosen nation.[1]

125:2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem. The surrounding mountains were important in the defense of the city and picture God’s protective presence (12:1; 2 Kin. 6:17).[2]

125:2 Yahweh is round about his people God responds to Israel’s loyalty by protecting them. Yahweh protects Jerusalem because it is the location of the temple, and protects His people because they are the location of His dwelling place. The psalmist combines the people and the holy site in his portrayal of God’s relationship with His people.[3]

125:2 His people. Those who trust in the Lord (cf. v. 1).[4]

125:2 — As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever.

God “surrounds” His people like a thick wall surrounded ancient cities. He covers us on every side so that nothing can reach us without first passing through His loving hands—the best security system ever devised.[5]

125:2 The psalmist saw another spiritual truth in the topography of Jerusalem. It is surrounded by mountains from which its army can guard every approach to the city. So the Lord Himself forms a protective ring around His children “from this time forth and forever.” This is the hedge which Satan spoke of as encircling Job.

Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? (Job 1:10).

Which means, of course, that nothing can reach the trusting saint except by the permissive will of God.[6]

2. “As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.” The hill of Zion is the type of the believer’s constancy, and the surrounding mountains are made emblems of the all-surrounding presence of the Lord. The mountains around the holy city, though they do not make a circular wall, are, nevertheless, set like sentinels to guard her gates. God doth not enclose his people within ramparts and bulwarks, making their city to be a prison; but yet he so orders the arrangements of his providence that his saints are as safe as if they dwelt behind the strongest fortifications. What a double security the two verses set before us! First, we are established, and then entrenched: settled, and then sentinelled: made like a mount, and then protected as if by mountains. This is no matter of poetry, it is so in fact; and it is no matter of temporary privilege, but it shall be so for ever. Date when we please, “from henceforth” Jehovah encircles his people: look on us as far as we please, the protection extends “even for ever.” Note, it is not said that Jehovah’s power or wisdom defends believers, but he himself is round about them: they have his personality for their protection, his Godhead for their guard. We are here taught that the Lord’s people are those who trust him, for they are thus described in the first verses: the line of faith is the line of grace, those who trust in the Lord are chosen of the Lord. The two verses together prove the eternal safety of the saints: they must abide where God has placed them, and God must for ever protect them from all evil. It would be difficult to imagine greater safely than is here set forth.[7]

Ver. 2. So the Lord is round about His people. The Divine protection:

The 125th Psalm is of the returning exiles. They are only about fifty thousand. They have made the difficult journey across the desert sands. They have reached Jerusalem. It is an utter ruin—walls levelled, Temple destroyed, everything in confusion. There are Samaritan enemies, too, and all sorts of obstacles, as they set about the enormous task of rebuilding, reorganizing. How unable, defenceless, they seem to themselves! But if, to-day, one stands in what was the Temple area at Jerusalem and looks about him, he will see, rising above him and around him, on the east the Mount of Olives; on the south, the Hill of Evil Counsel; on the west, the ridge beyond the valley of Jehoshaphat; on the north, the high ground about Scopas—all these loftier than Jerusalem. Well, one day the singer of this psalm did stand there amid the ruined Jerusalem, did feel his own helplessness and shelterlessness; but, seeing how Jerusalem was girded by the higher hills, he saw the only real refuge for helpless and shelterless man anywhere, viz. in God; and, getting figure for his trust in what he saw, he bravely sang: “As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about His people from henceforth even for ever.” Think, then, of the Divine protection of man, helpless and shelterless in himself.

I. God stands about His people, as the mountains do about Jerusalem, with protecting atonement of sin.

II. God stands about His people, as the mountains do about Jerusalem, with the protection of discipline administered with infinite and loving wisdom. For a forgiven man is by no means a perfect man.

III. God stands about His people, as the mountains do about Jerusalem, with the protection of proffered help for the daily duty.

IV. God stands about His people, as the mountains do about Jerusalem, with the protection of a final and triumphant deliverance. (W. Hoyt, D.D.)

The security of the Church:

I. The Church as a whole is secured by God beyond the reach of harm. She is ably garrisoned by Omnipotence, and she is castled within the faithful engagements of the covenant. How often has the Church been attacked; but how often has she been victorious! The number of her battles is just the number of her victories. Foes have come against her; they have compassed her about, but in the name of God she has destroyed them.

1. Persecution has unsheathed its sword, and sought to rend up the Church by its roots, or fell it with its axe. Tyrants have heated their furnaces, have prepared their racks, have erected their stakes. But has the Church been subdued?

2. But by and by the devil grew wiser. He saw that overt persecution would not suffice for the putting down of God’s Church, and he therefore adopted another measure not less cruel but more crafty. “I will not only slay them,” said he, “I will malign them.” Did you ever read in history the horrible reports which were set afloat in the early ages of Christianity concerning the Christians? Never were men so fearfully belied. The very heathens, who revelled in vice, despised the followers of Jesus on account of crimes which the voice of the liar had laid to their charge. A few years elapsed and the mud which had been cast upon the snow-white garments of Christ’s Church fell off from them, leaving them whiter than before. But the devil has adopted the same plan in every period. But has the Church suffered through their slander, or hath ever a solitary Christian lost aught by it? No; the Lord God who set the mountains round about Jerusalem has so put Himself about His people, that no weapon that is formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that riseth against us in judgment we shall condemn.

3. Again Satan learned wisdom, and he said, “Now, inasmuch as I cannot destroy this people, neither by sword nor slander, lo, this will I do; I will send into their midst wolves in sheep’s clothing; I will inspire divers heretics, carried away by their own lusts, who shall in the midst of the Church promulgate lies and prophesy smooth things in the name of the Lord. And Satan has done all this with a vengeance. In every era of the Church there have been numberless bands of heretics. Now, this is one of the attempts of the enemy to put down the truth; but he will never be able to do it, for “As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about His people from henceforth even for ever.”

4. The craftiest invention of the devil, with which he seeks, in the last place, to put out the Church, is a device which has amazed me above every other. “Now,” says Satan, “if I can quench the Church, neither by persecution, nor slander, nor heresy, I will invent another mode of destroying her.” And I have often marvelled at the depths of deceit which are centred in this last invention of Satan. Satan seeks to divide the Church, to set us apart from one another, and not allow those who love the same truth to meet with each other and to work together in love, and peace, and harmony. But, despite all this, the Church is secure, for God hath set Himself round about her “even as the mountains,” etc.

II. The fact which relates to the Church includes in it every member of the Church. God has fortressed His people; so that every believer is infallibly secure. The Christian is fortified and secured from all harm. And yet, O child of God, there be many that will seek to destroy thee, and thy fears will often tell thee that thou art in the jaws of the enemy.

1. Providence will often seem against thee; thine eyes shall be seldom dry; it may be funeral shall follow funeral; loss shall follow loss; a burning house shall be succeeded by a blasted crop. The Christian in this world is not secured against the perils which happen to manhood. Oh! child of God, it may seem that all things are against thee; perhaps all God’s waves and billows will go over thee; but, oh! remember, that neither famine, nor hunger, nor poverty, nor sickness, nor weakness, nor contempt, can separate thee from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus thy Lord.

2. Again, you may be tempted by the world! traps may be set for you on every hand, you may be tempted by your flesh; your corruptions may have great power over you, and often stagger your faith, and make you tremble, lest you should be utterly overthrown, and the devil may set upon you with fiery darts; he may pierce you with foul insinuations, he may almost make you blaspheme, and with terrible suggestions he may drive you well-nigh to despair.

3. And thou mayest, too, be overcome by sin. Thou mayest fall. Conscience will whisper, “How couldst thou be a child of God, and yet sin thus?” And Satan will howl in thine ears, “He that sinneth knoweth not God.” And so thou wilt be ready to be destroyed by thy sin. But do thou then, in the hour of thy dark distress, read this verse—“As the mountains,” etc. (C. H. Spurgeon.)[8]

2. As Zion prompted thoughts of its living counterpart the church, so the encircling hills draw the mind beyond themselves to God. But Psalm 121:1 shows that the mind is tempted to stop far short of this.[9]

Ver. 2.—As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people. This is the true cause of his people’s stability, which is like that of his holy mountain. The ubiquitous God stands round about his people, and protects them on every side. The mountains that are “round about Jerusalem” are, on the east, the Mount of Olives; on the south, the Hill of Evil Counsel; on the west, the ridge beyond the valley of Jehoshaphat; and on the north, the high ground about Scopas. All these are higher than the platform upon which the city is built. From henceforth even for ever. Always round about his true people, though he may have to forsake those who have first forsaken him.[10]

125:2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people. Similarly, 34:7 says, “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.”

both now and forevermore. The NIV has accurately rendered the Hebrew phrase, which does not imply a new situation but indicates one that already exists and will continue and applies to the generation of the exile and those to follow.1[11]

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, both now and for evermore (v. 2). Now the psalmist speaks of the natural fortification that Jerusalem has, and he makes this an illustration of the protection that the Lord affords his people. Just as the mountains encircle Jerusalem, so the Lord encircles his people for all times. The reference to ‘his people’ clearly applies to their standing as the covenantal people of God. Just as Zion will endure, so will the people of God because he holds them safe forever (cf. the teaching of Jesus [John 10:28]; and of Paul [Phil. 1:6]).[12]

2 Mount Zion is not the highest peak in the mountain range around Jerusalem. To its east lies the Mount of Olives, to its north Mount Scopus, and to the west and south other hills, all of which are higher than Mount Zion. Surrounded by mountains, Mount Zion was secure because of its natural defensibility. So the psalmist compares the Lord to the hills around Jerusalem and the people to Mount Zion. The hills connote endurance (cf. v. 1) and a sense of assurance and protection. God is “around” and present with his people (cf. 34:7; Zec 2:5) “both now and forevermore” (cf. 113:2; 115:18; 121:8).[13]

Guiltless — Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” Romans 8:1

I purchased an expensive picture for our bedroom. I had been looking for one since we moved into the house and I had finally found the perfect one. At least, so I thought at the time of the purchase. There was a condition — the sale was final. I could not return it if I didn’t like it.

To my utter dismay, after the picture was delivered and placed on the wall over our bed, I realized I didn’t like it. It didn’t look right in the room — the colors were too vibrant, and the scene was not peaceful. It disturbed me every time I walked into the room.

Now I faced another choice — take it down and store it, or learn to live with it. The worse part wasn’t the picture itself, it was the guilt I felt over what I had paid for it. I was losing sleep because I felt so terrible, as the money could have been better used. For several weeks this feeling of guilt kept gnawing at me as I went about my work.

One day while I was out walking, the Lord brought the promise in Romans 9:1 to mind: “Therefore, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” The light went on! That is right, I thought, I don’t have to walk around with this guilt. I can confess it and Jesus Christ will remove the feelings of guilt. After all, that is why He died.

So I did. I admitted that my purchase was too expensive, and I told God how badly I felt about it and claimed His forgiveness according to 1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” My burden of guilt was removed immediately, and in its place joy now filled my life.

Through Christ’s death on the cross, God offers us freedom from guilt. Often, we don’t take the time to analyze our guilty feelings or take the time to admit and confess them, and so we suffer needlessly. Friend, do not suffer in silence. Confess to the Lord and know that He will be faithful to forgive.

Have you experienced Christ’s forgiveness of any guilt you are holding onto.

If you have never walked in a relationship with Christ you can start today by committing and submitting your life to him. You can start this with a simple prayer:

Lord, thank You for dying so we can be set free from all of guilt and sin — no matter how big or small.  Your blood has erased all of our sin. Thank You so much! Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life to you and ask you to come in as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Make me the kind of person you want me to be. Amen

“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life in Christ has set me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2

Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!” Becoming a Christian means we have been liberated from law keeping. We now have God living in us through the Holy Spirit. The Spirit helps us to know God’s will and then live it. Through the Spirit’s power, we can do what no law could make us do: live up to God’s standards of righteousness. We are set free to be like God and to be with God, free from the crippling power of law, sin, and death.

Gracious father, thank you for all of your gifts to me. Today, I want to especially thank you for liberating me from law and empowering me with your Spirit. Fill me and empower me today with your Spirit as I commit to live my life for you. In the name and by the authority of Jesus my Lord I pray. Amen

The Bible and its Story: Hosea Blames the Priesthood

Having detailed the parable of his own life, Hosea points out specifically those sins for which Israel is to be punished. “Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.

‎“By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.”

‎Chief among these crimes, causing all the rest, this prophet sets the worship of idols. Despite all God’s guidance in the days of Moses, Israel has followed false gods. For this, Hosea chiefly blames the priesthood. They should have been the guides of the people; they have been false to their trust. “And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.” Let these evil priests beware; for a terrible vengeance shall fall upon them.

Romans 8: No condemnation | Place for Truth

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” – Romans 8:1

Few lines of Holy Scripture have been used more by God to encourage assurance and comfort in my own heart. In my own Bible, the page on which Romans 8 appears is a page well worn, smudged from the constant wear of my hands turning to it and my finger running along verse 1 as I have read it over and over and over again. This verse stands out as one of the Apostle Paul’s great indicatives, those statements of fact on which a believer is supposed to rest. It isn’t calling us to do anything, there’s no command to follow, it just is. It’s a declaration of good news given to believers. But what is it saying?

It comes right at the end of Paul’s description, in Romans 7, of what is characteristic of the Christian life, namely, our constant struggle against sin. The Christian believer, born again by God and given a new heart with new desires, now delights in the law of God, even in his inner being, says Paul. And yet Paul can also say, “I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?” His answer? Jesus Christ!

And so, he declares with exultant, doxological joy that even though his own thoughts at times condemns him because of the still virulent sin which rages within, he can rest assured, that God does not condemn him. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. As D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones puts it, “a Christian is a person who has been taken entirely outside the realm of any possible or conceivable condemnation. The Christian has finished with the realm of condemnation; he has been taken right out of it; he has nothing more to do with it… Had you realized that?”[1]

World Health Organization’s pandemic treaty spells DOOM for democracy | DC Clothesline

(Natural News) The World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Economic Forum (WEF) continue their assault on democracy as they begin a weeklong meeting Sunday, May 22, in Geneva, Switzerland.

They seek to establish a pandemic treaty, which was recommended at a special session on December 1 last year by the World Health Assembly (WHA) – the decision-making body of the WHO.

If all goes according to plan, the WHO would have unprecedented, undemocratic jurisdiction over its 194 member nations. Under the treaty, the WHO could order mandatory vaccines, digital health IDs, lockdowns or anything else it wants as policy, regardless of what the public wants.

This means if a country signs up, its government would lose any sovereign power to decide its fate during another pandemic or other health crises. The WHO would have total control over the health regulations of all nations during pandemics or other health emergencies.

The World Council for Health has branded the proposed pandemic treat an “undemocratic farce.”

While alternative and independent media have covered this significant and world-changing potential power-grab by the WHO, the corporate media mostly remains silent over the issue.

However, after increasing pressure from concerned voters in the U.K., a few Members of Parliament (MPs) are now aware of plans by members of the WHO to discuss it in August 2022, make it law in 2023 and put it into practice by 2024. But in reality, countries like the U.K. are about to “cede authority and oversight” to the WHO with little to no communications, no debate and no referendum.

At the same time, both Prime Minister Boris Johnson and President Joe Biden have announced their support for the proposed treaty, making it harder for MPs and legislators to voice their disagreement.

Pandemic treaty could be abused in the guise of protecting the public

Any vote in the WHA would be carried by a majority, but this means all member countries would be subject to the decision even if they disagreed due to a national democratic process. Additionally, any country not complying with WHO edicts may suffer economic sanctions.

The treaty would cover pandemic prevention, preparedness and response, but this could be abused in the guise of protecting the public. Under the treaty, interventions rejected in many countries like vaccine passports could become mandatory. (Related: Report: Wuhan scientists were ALLOWED TO REVISE Congressional briefing on COVID pandemic.)

Governments would be subject to decisions made by the WHO in relation to a pandemic as defined by the organization. Under the treaty, the WHO can determine what “the science” is.

Like what happened during the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, experienced and qualified health practitioners with alternative views could be ignored.

Measures like lockdowns, testing and vaccinations can then be determined by the WHO. As a result, anyone who disagrees with WHO policies or was injured by them would have no choice as the organization will be considered “an unelected body with immunity from challenge in any national court.”

During the WHO and the WEF meeting, changes may be made to existing authorities that can extend the power of the WHO before the introduction of the actual pandemic treaty. This is crucial because this may reduce individual rights.

Final voting on the treaty will be held next year and it is slated to be implemented by 2024. According to the WHO, it will only be open to further consultative input until June 16 and 17.

According to the WHO website, many donors come from countries or their established agencies. However, the second largest contributor to the WHO finances from 2020 to 2021 was the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which contributed $751,000,000.

The sponsorship of the WHO by pharmaceutical companies is allegedly at 70 percent because within the countries listed as donors to the WHO, most of the donations are made by interested bodies like Big Pharma instead of governments themselves.

Watch the video below for proof that the COVID-19 pandemic was a planned crisis.

“Where Do I Get My Reputation Back?” – President Trump Responds to Hillary’s Russia Collusion Sham that Defamed Him for Years — The Gateway Pundit

On Friday we heard testimony from her own Campaign Manager that Hillary Clinton encouraged the fake news story that candidate and President Trump was a puppet of Russian President Putin.  President Trump asks how does he ever get his reputation back?

Hillary’s Campaign Manager swore under oath on Friday that Hillary was behind the Russia collusion lies about President Trump.

Mook shared that Hillary knew about it and approved it.

MOOK SPOOKED: After Outing Hillary Clinton as Being Behind the Trump-Russia Lie, Some Fear Robby Mook’s Days Are Numbered

Hillary Clinton called President Trump a puppet of Russian President Putin.  Behind the scenes, we now know that she was working on lies to tie candidate Trump to Putin.  It was all made up.  Hillary was playing chicken with Russia risking a nuclear war.

President Trump shared on FOX News about this revelation and how his reputation was so terribly damaged by Hillary’s lies.

Former President Donald Trump reacted to the bombshell testimony out of the trial of Michael Sussmann that Hillary Clinton herself approved the dissemination of false information alleging a covert communications channel between the Trump Organization and a Russian bank to the media.

Trump told Fox News Digital that the entire Russia investigation is “one of the greatest political scandals in history,” and that he will “never” get his “reputation fully back.”

Former Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook on Friday testified as part of the first criminal trial out of Special Counsel John Durham’s years-long investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe, saying Clinton approved and “agreed” to share the discredited data with the media.

FOX News won’t have President Trump on their regular news shows because they don’t want him sharing the truth about the stolen 2020 Election and the attacks he endured while in the White House all based on lies from the left and their RINO accomplices.

Americans know the truth and have known it for years.

Kash Patel: As I said before, all roads lead to Andy McCabe, the Deputy Director, and the lovebirds in their office concocting an insurance plan for 2015. And I think John Durham knows what that insurance plan is. I know we figured it out during Russiagate. And we’re trying to educate the American people on it. But it remains classified partly.

Watchdog’s report ‘damning’ for Biden’s obsession with Iran nuclear deal | WND

Joe Biden meets with the New Democrat Coalition in the Roosevelt Room, Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at the White House. (Official White House photo by Erin Scott)

A watchdog’s new report on the status of Iran’s nuclear operations is a “damning” condemnation of Joe Biden’s “obsession” with restoring the Iran nuclear deal, according to the Defense and Foreign Affairs editor at the Telegraph, Con Coughlin, who also is a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Gatestone Institute.

Barack Obama, with Joe Biden then as vice president, dreamed up the strategy to pay Iran billions of dollars in return for a promise about its level of nuclear weapons activity.

However, President Trump dumped it while he was in office, explaining the “deal” really provided no benefit to America, and Iran wasn’t following it anyway.

Now Coughlin cites an assessment from the International Atomic Energy Agency that Tehran “continues to defy Washington by converting some of its uranium stockpiles to near weapons-grade, thereby greatly enhancing the regime’s ability to produce nuclear warheads.”

He warned, “The utter futility of the Biden administration’s obsession with reviving the Iran nuclear deal has been laid bare by the latest damning assessment” by the IAEA.

He explained Biden wants to rejoin the deal if Iran comes back into compliance with the original Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.

“That would require Iran to accept the limits imposed on its stockpiles of nuclear material by the JCPOA instead of continuing with its efforts to produce weapons-grade material,” Coughlin wrote.

But the IAEA has said even as that’s not happening, Biden continues to try to develop a strategy to regain the “deal,” even though now Iran has demanded, too, that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps be delisted from the State Department’s Foreign Terrorist Organization list.

“Biden’s hopes of pressing ahead with the nuclear talks suffered a significant setback the other week when a bipartisan super-majority of U.S. senators voted to endorse a Republican-led measure insisting that any future agreement with Tehran must address Iran’s support for terrorism in the region, and that Washington should not lift sanctions against the IRGC,” he pointed out.

First, Tehran is “unlikely” to agree, and further, “bipartisan opposition to a revived deal is likely to increase further following this week’s stark warning by the head of the U.N.’s nuclear watchdog who said he was ‘extremely concerned’ about what he described as Iran’s lack of cooperation regarding unexplained traces of uranium in the country.”

Among the problems is that traces of enriched uranium have been found at sites in Iran which the rogue regime hasn’t declared.

He said, “Iran, for the time being, has not been forthcoming in the kind of information we need from them… we are extremely concerned about this.”

Coughlin noted, however, that Iran’s non-cooperation is “entirely consistent” with its behavior for years.

He suggested that European leaders should be wary, too, of their involvement in and dedication to the JCPOA.

He wrote, “The lengths to which some naive politicians on both sides of the Atlantic are prepared to go to revive the nuclear deal is nothing less than shameful, especially at a time when the world is struggling to deal with another tyrannical regime following Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.”

From foxnews.com:

Iran Weeks Away from Acquiring Materials for First Nuclear Weapon, Israeli Defense Minister Says

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz warned that action is needed to keep Iran at bay.

While the U.S. and Iran have so far failed to agree on terms for a new nuclear agreement, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz warned that the Islamic nation is just weeks away from having the necessary materials for a nuclear weapon.

Gantz tweeted the claim in Hebrew when posting about remarks he delivered at Israel‘s Reichman University. The Jerusalem Post reported on the speech, relaying that Iran currently produces uranium at an enrichment level of 20% while already having 60 kilograms of 60% enriched material. Uranium enriched at a 90% level is needed for a weapon.

“Iran continues to accumulate irreversible knowledge and experience in the development, research, production and operation of advanced centrifuges,” Gantz said during his address, stating that Iran is working on 1,000 new advanced centrifuges, including at an underground facility near Natanz.

Gantz also said that Iran has been keeping inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency from accessing their systems. Gantz said a “multidimensional” international response is needed to prevent all-out war with Iran.

“Today, the prices for tackling the Iranian challenge on the global and regional levels are higher than they were a year ago and lower than they will be within a year,” Gantz said.

The defense minister noted that Iran has been making a number of other improvements to their military capabilities, “including cruise missiles, surface-to-surface missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles that have a range of thousands of kilometers.”

A nuclear Iran could pose an existential threat to Israel as Iran’s leadership has threatened to destroy the Jewish state.

Meanwhile. the Biden administration has been trying to enter into a new nuclear deal with Tehran, years after then-President Donald Trump withdrew from the international Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action that critics said did not do enough to prevent an Iranian nuclear weapon in the long term or properly address their ballistic missile program.

Iran has been calling for the U.S. to remove their Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps from the State Department’s list of foreign terrorist organizations as part of any agreement. So far, the administration has resisted, as veterans, Gold Star families, and lawmakers in Washington, D.C. have warned not to do this.

At the same time, Iranian leadership faces pressure from its own people, who have been protesting in response to a floundering economy. The protests began last week when the government slashed food subsidies on eggs, milk, chicken, and cooking oil leading to price rises of some 300%. Since then, protests have spread to many areas of the country and, according to observers, have taken on a much more anti-government current.

Protesters, showing no fear of retribution by the state security services, have been heard shouting, “Death to Khamenei! Death to Raisi!” referring to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who has promised to create jobs, lift sanctions, and rescue the economy. Over the weekend, reports said up to five people were killed following a crackdown by authorities. A semi-official government news agency put the number of dead from the protests at one, according to the Associated Press. Source

Report: US To Participate in Israeli Simulation of Military Strike on Iran

The US military will participate in a major Israeli drill later this month simulating an airstrike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Israel’s Channel 13 reported on Tuesday. The drill, part of an exercise dubbed “Chariots of Fire,” will include the air-to-air refueling of Israeli fighter jets by US Air Force tanker planes as they simulate entering Iranian territory and carrying out repeated strikes. The unprecedented collaboration in such a drill is seen as a message to Iran that a military alternative exists if the long-stalled nuclear negotiations in Vienna do not result in an agreement that puts meaningful limits on Iran’s nuclear program.

Israel’s Kan TV News said dozens of Israeli fighter jets will take part in the exercise. A similar major drill that Israel conducted 10 years ago, when it was reported to be on the verge of launching a real attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, did not include US participation, the TV report said. Against the backdrop of this upcoming drill, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz will meet with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin at the Pentagon in Washington on Thursday, and Gen. Michael Kurilla, head of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), arrived in Israel on Tuesday for his first official visit.

On Tuesday, Gantz warned that “the price for tackling the Iranian challenge on a global or regional level is higher than it was a year ago and lower than it will be in a year.” The Israeli defense minister said Iran was just a “few weeks” away from amassing sufficient fissile material to build a bomb and was finishing the production and installation of 1,000 advanced centrifuges for enriching uranium. source

After Russia Opens Fire on Israel in Syria, Rabbis Consider Possible “Gog-Magog Scenario”

Media reports claim that a Russian S-300 anti-air battery opened fire on Friday night [May 15] against IDF warplanes operating over northwestern Syria, marking the first time Russia has actively interfered with an Israeli air attack in Syria. The fact that the maneuver originated in the ‘north’ and was executed by Moscow has rabbis in Israel noticing several parallels to the War of Gog and Magog as prophesied in the Book of Ezekiel. source

Brothers and sisters in Christ – this is BIG news coming out of the Middle East.

The Ezekiel 38/39 war keeps coming into my mind. And with the news just a couple of days ago about Russia’s close nefarious encounter with Israeli aircraft, the pieces of this puzzle are rapidly falling into place.
