He’s Shot: Biden Can Barely Speak in First Appearance Since Returning From G20 – Takes No Questions From Reporters (VIDEO) — The Gateway Pundit

Joe Biden on Friday delivered remarks from his fake White House set in the South Court Auditorium and met with business and labor leaders.

Biden is completely shot.

He’s turning 80 in two days and he can barely speak.

Biden hid for nearly two days after returning from the G20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia.

Joe Biden slurred his words as he told people concerned about heating their homes this winter they can get a tax credit if they install expensive solar panels.

Biden made no sense whatsoever as he attempted to read from his teleprompter.

After mumbling through remarks, Biden refused to engage with the media and ignored reporters.

Biden’s handlers kicked out the reporters while he sat there and smirked.

EXCLUSIVE: Corrupt DOJ’s Pick to “Investigate” President Trump Is Connected to Andrew Weissmann Who Ran the Sham Mueller Special Counsel — The Gateway Pundit

If you don’t hold crooks in the government accountable for their corrupt acts, they’ll do them again.

Andrew Weissmann was intimately involved in some of the biggest scandals in US history. Weissmann was involved in FBI activities with the mob in New York in the 1990s.  He was a key member of the Enron Task Force and also was involved in the sale of 20% of US Uranium to Russia.  After all of his corrupt acts, he then led the corrupt Mueller Special Counsel.

In all of these scandals, Weissmann’s actions have been consistently corrupt and abhorrent.

Attorney Sidney Powell shared the following about Andrew Weissmann:

The hallmark of the Department of Justice for decades has been to seek justice not convictions and if that meant letting a guilty person go free to make sure the government did it all right, then that was supposed to happen.

But Mr. Weissman, he couldn’t spell the word “ethics” despite the fact somebody actually had him teach a course in it one time, I think over in England.  His mantra is ‘the end justifies the means’… he targets people, individuals. And you’re right, I had no doubt from the moment he was picked for the Mueller Special Counsel operation, that he would have filed RICO charges against President Trump and seized every asset he ever had, if there had been any way he could do that.

He’s just filled with hatred for apparently most Americans and certainly anybody affiliated with President Trump.  And he’s willing to do anything to destroy them.

I have said, from my personal experience at least with this case, I consider Andrew Weissmann to be the most ethically bankrupt prosecutor I have ever encountered, and that’s a pretty broad spectrum of prosecutors over the course of my career…

Roger Stone says about Weissmann:

I believe what the bible says in Hebrews 10: Vengence is served for the Lord – but there is a special place in hell for Andrew Weissmann.”

(See a list of TGP articles on Andrew Weissmann below.)

It seems that Weissmann’s influence on the DOJ is not over.

Today Biden’s corrupt DOJ announced that it was going to start another investigation against President Trump.  This corrupt group of actors is going to do whatever they can to indict President Trump.  They just won’t stop.

“It is in the Public Interest to Appoint a Special Counsel” – LIVE-STREAM VIDEO: Merrick Garland Announces Jack Smith as Special Counsel Against President Trump 3 Days After Announcing His 2024 Bid for President

It turns out that the individual picked by the DOJ to lead this corrupt special counsel is a man by the name of Jack Smith.  Mr. Smith began his career as follows:

Jack Smith was appointed First Assistant United States Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee in February of 2015. Prior to his appointment, from 2010 to 2015 Mr. Smith served as Chief of the Public Integrity Section of the United States Department of Justice, supervising the litigation of complex public corruption cases across the country. From 2008 to 2010, Jack served as Investigation Coordinator in the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague, Netherlands. In that capacity, he supervised sensitive investigations of foreign government officials and militia for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. Mr. Smith joined the ICC from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, where he served for 9 years in a number of supervisory positions, including Chief of Criminal Litigation and Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division. As Chief of Criminal Litigation, Mr. Smith supervised approximately 100 criminal prosecutors across a range of program areas, such as public corruption, violent crime and gangs, and white collar and complex financial fraud. Before becoming an Assistant United States Attorney, Mr. Smith served for five years as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office.

Notice that Mr. Smith was at the DOJ in Eastern New York starting in 1999.  This was the same time that Andrew Weissmann worked at the DOJ at the same location.  Weissmann worked at the New York location until 2002.  They likely knew each other or even worked together at that time.

Was Weissmann who was behind setting up the Special Counsel and picking Attorney Smith as the head of the new effort to destroy President Trump?  For that matter, is Weissmann running this Special Counsel too?

Democratic operatives are reviving a partisan watchdog group to “investigate the investigators” and hound House Republicans who are preparing congressional investigations into the Biden administration.

The Congressional Integrity Project (CIP) announced Wednesday that it is planning a multi-million-dollar effort to investigate House Republicans and “expose the reality behind the politically motivated oversight and investigations targeting President Biden.” The initiative was first reported by Politico.

“The Congressional Integrity Project will investigate the investigators, expose their political motivations and the monied special interests supporting their work, and hold them accountable for ignoring the urgent priorities of all Americans in order to smear Joe Biden and do the political bidding of Trump and MAGA Republicans,” CIP executive director Kyle Herrig said in a statement.

Republicans will retake the House with a slim majority next year, gaining control of committees and the direction of investigations. Rep. Jim Comer (R-KY), expected to be the next chairman of the House Oversight Committee, said Thursday that he plans to probe Biden’s ties to foreign business deals orchestrated by his son Hunter.

“This is an investigation of Joe Biden, the president of the United States, and why he lied to the American people about his knowledge and participation in his family’s international business schemes,” Comer said in a press conference, adding that the potential misconduct is an issue of national security.

“This is an investigation of Joe Biden…and why he LIED to the American people about his knowledge and participation in his family’s international business schemes,” says Rep. @JamesComer.

CIP is prepared to be the Democratic Party’s answer to Comer’s investigation and others from GOP lawmakers in the coming weeks and months and will produce opposition research on Republicans, according to Politico.

CIP will be led and advised by operatives with deep ties to the Democratic administrations of Biden and former President Barack Obama. Leslie Dach will serve on the group’s leadership team. He previously working in the Obama administration and advised the Biden administration on its COVID-19 response. Jeff Peck, an adviser for CIP, has worked with Biden for years, including when the president was in the U.S. Senate.

CIP will be supported and work in conjunction with other Democrat-directed groups, including Facts First USA, a project of the Democratic consultant David Brock, according to The New York Times. The GOP has been reportedly working with its own friendly outside groups in prepping investigations into the Biden administration.

“We’re an outside independent group,” Brock told NYT. “We hope that lots of people are willing to join the fight against Republican disinformation and conspiracy mongering, including the White House and all allied groups.”

“Tribulation” And The Lord’s Return — The Heidelblog

I am often asked whether or not the “tribulation” is a seven year period which immediately precedes the second coming of Jesus Christ, or is it the entire period of time between Christ’s first and second advent, the so-called “great tribulation?”

This is an important question for several reasons. First, when most people think of the “tribulation,” they are thinking of the popular dispensational notion that at (or about) the time of the Rapture, the world enters a seven-year period—“the tribulation”—in which the Antichrist comes to power after the unexpected and instantaneous removal of all believers. The Antichrist then makes a seven-year peace treaty with Israel, only to turn upon the nation after three and a half years, plunging the entire world into the final geopolitical crisis which ends with the battle of Armageddon. Dispensationalists believe the seven year tribulation is a time of horrific cruelty and persecution for those who are “left behind,” and that the only way to be saved during this period is to refuse to take the mark of the beast, and not worship the beast or his image, which will likely result in martyrdom. The critical flaw with the dispensational doctrine of a future seven-year tribulation is that it is nowhere found in Scripture—although dispensationalists make appeal to Daniel 9:24-27 (more on this below).

A second reason why this question is important has to do with the rise of various forms of preterism. Full-preterism is properly considered a heresy. But so-called “partial” preterism is not. Preterists (I am speaking here of the orthodox, “partial” variety) contend that Jesus Christ returned in the clouds in A.D. 70 to execute judgment upon apostate Israel, the city of Jerusalem, and the Jewish temple, and its sacrificial system. Those who hold to the various orthodox forms of preterism believe that the great tribulation spoken of by Jesus in Matthew 24:21, has come and gone with the events associated with the destruction of Jerusalem and its temple by the Romans. All that remains is the Lord’s return.

In light of the tendency to relegate a time of “great” tribulation to the distant past or the immediate future, it is important to briefly survey the biblical teaching on this topic. When we do so, it becomes clear that the time of “great tribulation” cannot be tied exclusively to the events of A.D. 70, nor to the seven years immediately before our Lord’s return. The Bible does not speak of tribulation in this manner, and as we know, many of God’s people have already faced periods of horrific tribulation following the days of Christ’s redemptive tribulation on the cross, and that such tribulation for the people of God will continue until Jesus returns at the end of the age to raise the dead, judge the world, and make all things new. Read More»

“Tribulation” And The Lord’s Return — The Heidelblog

A Spiritual MRI of the Heart — Gentle Reformation

In Proverbs 4.23 Solomon warns his son, ‘Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.’ He goes on to give admonitions about the mouth, the eyes and the feet (vv24-27), but it is the heart that must be guarded above all else. Why?

In Scripture, the word ‘heart’ is used more than 1000 times, but it almost never refers to the physical organ inside our chests. The Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament sums up all the usages of the term in this way: it is ‘the richest, most all-encompassing biblical term for the totality of a man’s inner nature.’ The heart is said to do a wide range of things in the Bible, but all its many activities fall into one of the three main faculties of the soul: the mind, the affections and the will. It includes the mind—our thoughts, imagination, fantasies, judgments and attitudes. It encompasses the affections—our emotions, our desires and longings, our revulsions. And it describes the will—our choices, decisions and motivations.

Once we understand that the heart involves all these things, it becomes even clearer why we must guard it with all vigilance, before all else—because it is so fundamental. It is the control centre of the whole person. Indeed Scripture sometimes uses ‘heart’ as a kind of synonym for the self (e.g. Gen 18.5; Ex 9.14; 1Pt 3.4: ‘…the hidden person of the heart’.)

We also need to guard our hearts with all vigilance because they are under constant attack. From the world and the devil outside ourselves of course, but also—most dangerously of all—from an enemy within: the flesh—a traitor inside our own hearts, a Judas looking for an opportune moment to hand us over to sin. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? (Jer 17.9). It is like an unsearchable labyrinth, with endless twists and turns, blind alleys and dark corners where the Minotaur of our indwelling sin lurks in wait for us.

We need to guard our hearts too because the Lord wants our hearts. Prov 23.6: My son, give me your heart. What a beautiful and powerful incentive this is! We are keeping our hearts for our Father! We wouldn’t be satisfied with a marriage where our spouse was dutiful and faithful outwardly, but longed inwardly to be with someone else to whom their heart belonged. Why would God be content with that from us? He wants our hearts—our minds, our affections and our wills. The totality of our inner nature and not just our outward behaviour. Isa 29.13: And the Lord said: “…this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me… Ps 51.16f: For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

How then do we do this vital work of guarding our hearts? The first step is to do a ‘spiritual MRI scan’ of our hearts. We need to know the current state of our hearts so that we can address the problems and weaknesses we find. Rom 12.3 tells us to ‘think [of ourselves] with sober judgment.’ The Puritan John Flavel, in an exposition of Prov 4.23, wrote these challenging words: ‘Some people have lived forty or fifty years and have had scarcely one hour’s discourse with their own hearts! … Of all works in religion, this is the most difficult, constant and important work. Heart work is indeed hard work. To shuffle over religious duties with a loose and heedless spirit will cost no great pains. But to set yourself before the Lord and tie up your loose and vain thoughts to a constant and serious attention upon him, this will cost you something.’ John Owen in his book The Mortification of Sin advises his readers: “Be acquainted, then, with thine own heart: though it be deep, search it; though it be dark, inquire into it; though it give all its distempers other names than what are their due, believe it not.”

As we carry out this spiritual MRI scan of our hearts we need to bear in mind what the heart is—the totality of our inner nature: the mind, will and affections. We need to assess all three areas of the heart with probing diagnostic questions. Here are some examples of what that might look like:

A. The mind (thoughts, attitudes, imagination, plans, judgments, discernment).

a) What do you think about? Do you think about spiritual things? The glory of God? The Person and work of Jesus Christ? The Gospel of grace? Sinclair Ferguson once asked the unsettling question, ‘How many Christians today could sit in a room without any resources and think about Jesus Christ for more than five minutes before they run dry?’

b) What do you think about when you’re not focused on specific tasks? John Owen calls these ‘Natural, voluntary thoughts’. They’re like the screensaver that comes up on our computer screens. When the computer is idling for more than a few minutes, it’s the image that appears. What images appear in your mind when it’s not actively engaged in a particular task? Owen says, ‘These thoughts give the best measure of the frame of our minds and hearts… such as the mind of its own accord is apt for, inclines & ordinarily betakes itself unto.’ In other words, do you think about spiritual things when you’re not forced to because you’re listening to a sermon in church or taking part in a Bible study?

c) Owen also asks, do you abound in spiritual thoughts? What proportion of your thoughts are spiritual compared to your thoughts about other things? Here’s a very challenging way of asking the question: do spiritual thoughts ever distract you when you’re engaged in other pursuits? We all know what it’s like to be distracted by earthly thoughts intruding when we’re trying to pray or read the Bible in our daily devotions or listen to a sermon, but is it ever the other way around? Do you ever find yourself thinking about the Lord Jesus when you’re in the middle of watching a film or a football match?

d) Do you predominantly tend to think negative, uncharitable, critical thoughts? Do you have a tendency to be judgmental? Do you tend to assume the worst motives of others rather than the best? Do you give people the benefit of the doubt whenever possible?

e) Do you think about whatever is true, honourable, just, pure, lovely, commendable and praiseworthy (Phil 4.8)? Does that describe the things you fill your mind with through what you read and watch on TV and the internet, or the music you fill your head with?

f) Do you spend a lot of time fantasizing? I don’t mean things that are obviously sinful; do you day-dream a lot about your circumstances being different? Do you constantly imagine being married? Or being single? Or being in a different marriage? Having different children? Belonging to a different church? Having different gifts? A different salary or job? Do you find yourself regularly, frequently retreating into this world of make-believe? Is that where your mind usually goes, or goes first, when things are hard?

g) Do you nurture covetous thoughts? Do you envy the success/popularity/usefulness of others?

h) Do your thoughts about God ever move you to worship and praise and thanksgiving? Do you ever stop in the middle of your Bible reading to sing/pray/praise God?

2. The affections (emotions, longings, desires, revulsion)

John Owen describes the affections as ‘the seat of all sincerity.’ He writes, ‘Whatever men pretend, as their affectionsare, so are they.’ In other words, we may claim we like nothing better than an evening reading Tolstoy, but if in our hearts we really love binge-watching the latest season of a hit TV show, that reveals where our affections really lie. Owen says that the affections are like the helm of a ship. ‘When world has its hand on our affections, it turns the mind, with the whole industry of the soul, unto its interests and concerns. And it is in vain to contend with anything that hath the power of our affections in its disposal.’ (Spiritual MindednessWorks VII.396f). The affections are incredibly powerful, so we need to guard them zealously! Here are some questions to help us do that:

a) What are your predominant emotions? Anger? Sadness? Self-pity? Irritability? Joy? Gladness? Thankfulness? How would those who know you best answer this question about you? Would you spouse and children say you are usually a joyful, happy person?

b) If one particular sinful emotion is predominant in your heart, do you understand why? Are you succeeding in mastering your sinful emotions? I once knew a man who confessed to having a terrible temper, but he was one of the mildest men I had ever met. The reason was he had mastered his temper. He mortified it every day of his life so that it was suffocated by grace. It was an illustration of what Paul meant when he said that he beat his body and made it his slave.’ (1Cor 9.27).

c) Do you normally fight against negative emotions when they arise in your heart, or is your default attitude to give in to them and allow your behaviour and mood to be ruled by them?

d) Are you normally emotionally balanced, or up and down and all over the place?

e) Do you enjoy public worship? If the flesh can’t stop you from attending worship, it will try to make it a purely outward and formal ritual in which you draw near to God with your lips only. If you do enjoy worship, do you delight in it for the right reasons?

f) Do you know how to mortify ungodly emotions and how to cultivate godly ones?

g) Do you know your personality type? Are you an optimist or a pessimist? An introvert or an extrovert? Melancholic? Competitive? Passive-aggressive? This affects how we assess our hearts. Owen calls his readers to understand their own temperaments because it will help them better appreciate how sin and temptation arise in their own lives. ‘He who watches not this thoroughly, who is not exactly skilled in the knowledge of himself, will never be disentangled from one temptation or another all his days.’ You may not know your own personality, but you can be sure that Satan knows it. And he attacks us according to our individual personalities, so we need to know our dispositions.

h) What makes you angry/sad/joyful? So often we get angry or happy about things we shouldn’t and we don’t get angry or happy about things we should. Jonah is the classic case study of this: he was over the moon about a plant that grew up and provided him with shade from the sun, then he was in a towering rage when a worm came and chewed it up. But he was furious at the prospect of 120,000 men, women and children of Nineveh being spared God’s judgment! Isn’t that so like us? We’re beside ourselves with rage at someone who cuts us up on the road and then a few miles later we hear news of an atrocity in Ukraine with hardly a flicker of anger! We’re elated at the prospect of a new episode of our favourite TV show, but hardly feel a trace of joy when a friend is praised for something we think we do much better.

i) How do you feel when you are criticized, rebuked or corrected? Do you respond well? Do you say, ‘Faithful are the wounds of a friend—thank you so much for helping me.’ Or do you say the words while inwardly you are seething and indignant?

j) What makes you afraid? What is your greatest desire? What brings you most delight?

k) What things, if you lost them, would make you feel like life is no longer worth living? That’s a good way to discern what gives your life meaning.

l) What do you talk most about? How much time do you spend watching TV, reading novels, on social media, on your hobbies? These are good indicators of where your affections lie.

m) Where do you go for comfort when things are hard? The food cupboard? The TV? The Word of God?

n) How do you feel when others are praised instead of you. Do you find yourself subtly undermining the praise? Planting a little seed of negativity? Do you rejoice along with the person doing the praising and the one being praised?

3. The will (choices, actions, decisions, motives)

a) Do you know something of Paul’s struggle in Romans 7? So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, 23but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. (vv21-23)

b) Do you consistently make wise choices or foolish ones?

c) Do you consciously reflect on why you make the decisions you do?

d) Do you regularly go against your conscience? Would you say it’s more or less tender since five years ago? Are you committing sins now that would have deeply troubled you five years ago?

e) Is your conscience being shaped and informed by the word of God?

f) How much do you pray in secret? That’s a good test of your heart—not how much you pray in public in a church prayer meeting, but when it’s just you and God. Someone once said, ‘What a man is alone on his knees before God—that he is and no more.’ Secret prayer has no ‘cash value’—no one knows if you are doing it except you and God.

g) When you sin or discover something in your heart or life that is sinful, is it your normal practice to repent immediately?

h) Do you consciously test your motives? Do you ask yourself if you are acting out of a desire for God’s glory or for the praise of men? Our motives will always be mixed to some extent, but we want to ensure they are as pure as possible.

Heart work really is hard work! Martyn Lloyd-Jones had a salutary warning when it comes to this kind of deep scan of our hearts. He warned that you need to know if you tend to introspectiveness as you carry out this kind of assessment. An introspective man could probably spend all day every day doing nothing else but looking inside himself, while someone at the opposite end of the spectrum (an extrospective?) could give this list of questions a quick glance and carry on with his day. I suspect the practical danger of most of us is that we don’t give enough time and thought and effort to work honestly through these kinds of questions.

Our hearts are deceitful, but God knows our hearts inside out. He has made our hearts new. The labyrinth belongs to him now and he is gradually remodelling it into a beautiful place where sin cannot hide.  And if you want to know the true state of your heart, the Lord will help you. Ps 139.23f: Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! 24And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

But an MRI scan can only reveal, it can’t repair. More is involved then in guarding our hearts. Once we have the results of our scan, how do we deal with the problems they expose? We’ll return to that next time.

Thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.Joshua 17:18

It is a great encouragement to valor to be assured of victory, for then a man goes forth to war in confidence and ventures where else he had been afraid to go. Our warfare is with evil within us and around us, and we ought to be persuaded that we are able to get the victory and that we shall do so in the name of the Lord Jesus. We are not riding for a fall, but to win; and win we shall. The grace of God in its omnipotence is put forth for the overflow of evil in every form: hence the certainty of triumph.

Certain of our sins find chariots of iron in our constitution, our former habits, our associations, and our occupations. Nevertheless we must overcome them. They are very strong, and in reference to them we are very weak; yet in the name of God we must master them, and we will. If one sin has dominion of us we are not the Lord’s free men. A man who is held by only one chain is still a captive. There is no going to heaven with one sin ruling within us, for of the saints it is said, “Sin shall not have dominion over you.” Up, then, and slay every Canaanite, and break to shivers every chariot of iron! The Lord of hosts is with us, and who shall resist His sin-destroying power?

Legalism and Antinomianism — Reformed Christian Studies

By Pastor Dewey Roberts – Posted at Vanguard Presbyterian Church:The longer I live, the more I find myself agreeing with Dr. D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones on so many things. I do not have an exact passage from which to quote, but I remember in his writings that he often said that you are in the wrong position when you have an enemy on only one side. The true Christian position is that we must be in the middle between two enemies, one on the right and the other on the left. This is especially true when we consider the matter of salvation. The correct doctrine will have two great enemies—legalism and antinomianism. Antinomianism is a word that throws many people. It comes from the Greek word for law, ‘nomos’. Thus, our enemies are legalism or anti-legalism, nomism or antinomianism.

Legalism is a denial of the gospel. Antinomianism is a denial of the law. They would seem to be polar opposites and in many ways they are. In other ways, legalism and antinomianism are friendly cousins. In the end, they promote the same things—just in different ways, from different starting points.

Of the two heresies, legalism is the most dangerous and the most neglected. When I was writing my book, Historic Christianity and the Federal Vision, I searched diligently for works by the Puritans against legalism. I found only a few books that had legalism in the title and even those books spent more time attacking the error of antinomianism. Yet, there are a number of Puritan works that were written against antinomianism. Many of the books that have been written against legalism touch the subject in terms of man-made laws. Such man-made laws are certainly legalism, but they are not the main type of legalism that the Scripture addresses. Legalism in the Scripture is the attempt to attain righteousness through moral works of righteousness (keeping the law) or ceremonial works of righteousness (Circumcision, baptism, etc.). Those man-made laws often deal with such things as smoking, drinking, etc., which the reformed faith considers to be adiaphora—matters of indifference in which believers have the freedom of conscience. For instance, the Scripture surely warns believers to not ‘be drunk with wine, but be filled with the Spirit.’ The Scripture also teaches that Christ turned the water into wine at the wedding feast at Cana of Galilee as the first of His signs. As one who almost never lets a drop of alcohol even touch my lips (and I could gladly live without alcohol for the rest of my life), I would never teach that anyone who ever drinks a glass of wine has committed a sin. I also remember that Colonial pastors in Virginia and the Carolinas were often paid their annual stipends in tobacco leaves which they then sold on the open market.

5 Things that Hinder the Presence of Christ — Shane Idleman

Watch the sermon here where this article originated.

Most believers understand that God is everywhere, but the Bible is also clear that the power and presence of Christ can fill the heart of the believer who completely surrenders to Him. His presence changes everything! So it’s no secret why the enemy of our soul wants to hinder His presence and power in our life.

Here are five things that will hinder the presence of Christ in your life and what you can do to get back on track:

#1 Secret Sin Hinders His Presence

Hidden sin deeply affects and quenches our relationship with our Savior. “When there’s no communion with God, our lives are spent in the darkness. We see nothing. We hear nothing. We have no answers. Spiritual death sets in” (Gene Easley).

Most of us can relate to spiritual death, but be encouraged: Repentance opens the door for His presence to be restored.

Begin by acknowledging and turning from the sin that is pulling you down and you’ll find rest for your soul.

Acts 3:19 says, “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”

Although the context of this verse is about those laying their sin at the foot of the cross and being “born-again” for the first time, believers can also experience times of renewal when repentance is genuine.

We must begin here.

#2 The Fullness of the Flesh Hinders His Presence

Matthew 6:24 reminds us that, “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other…” It’s impossible to be full of the world and full of Christ. We can’t be consumed with worldly pursuits as our main focus and be consumed with pursuing Christ — one or the other will prevail.

One HUGE benefit of prayer and fasting is that it empties us in order to be filled. It weakens the flesh in order to be strengthened by the Spirit.

The presence of Christ is attracted to weakness, and the practice of moderation strengthens spiritual discipline. This leads to the fullness of the Spirit. Andrew Murray once said, “Only in a life of moderation and self-denial will there be sufficient heart and strength to pray much.” I’m not promoting legalism, but I am promoting moderation.

In 1 Cor. 9:27, Paul said that he disciplined his body and brought it under control so that his work would not be hindered. In his Bible commentary, Matthew Henry wrote about the danger of yielding to fleshly desires, pampering the body, and its lusts and appetites.

Commit today to deny something that the flesh is always craving. In essence, you’re saying, “I’m so desperate to hear from God and to know Him that I’m willing to make this sacrifice.” This leads to the next point:

#3 A Lack of Desperation Hinders His Presence

When we lack desperation about pursuing God, we are demonstrating that the pursuit is not important enough to make it a priority.

When Isaiah cried, “Oh, that You would rend the heavens!” He was desperate. When Ezra and Esther fasted and cried out to God, they were desperate. When Joel called a sacred assembly, he was desperate. When the early disciples waited in the upper room, they were desperate.

The sad reality is that the average Christian gets by with just enough to keep them lukewarm but not on fire.

#4 A Lack of Fervency Hinders His Presence

Let’s be clear here: “The spiritual battle in which the Christian is engaged is fierce. Satan is intent on destroying the presence of Christ from our lives. There are no vacations from spiritual warfare. That is why the fire must be kept burning” (Fire Upon the Altar by Gene Easley).

Once God lights the fire of the Spirit in our hearts, we must do our part to keep Him burning through fervent prayer: “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (Jas. 5:16).

William Gurnall once said, “Cold praying is no more prayer than a painting of fire is fire.” How can prayers that do not burden your heart move God’s hand?

Without desperation and fervency, prayer is like sitting in front of a picture of a fire. You see it but you don’t feel it! “He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Heb. 11:6), and diligence takes work.

#5 Being Too Busy Hinders His Presence

If you’re too busy to wait, too preoccupied to pursue God, and too wrapped up to worship Him, your relationship with Him will be hindered.  “He acts for the one who waits for Him” (Is. 64:4), and waiting can’t be rushed.

Waiting is a great way to measure importance. We wait for things that are important to us. Jesus often waited to hear from the Father and went to places of solitude to wait.

Yes, waiting is difficult, but we can also rest in the fact that God is in control. Andrew Murray offers a great perspective here: “Once faith has taken its stand on God‘s Word and the name of Jesus and has yielded itself to the leading of the Spirit to seek only God‘s will and honor it in prayer, you need not be discouraged by delay.”

Just because God is delaying something doesn’t necessarily mean that He is denying it.

Feelings Can’t Be Trusted

We must come to the point where we say, “Jesus, you’re a priority and I’m going to pursue You regardless of how I ‘feel’.” But always remember: “Pursuing” His presence doesn’t always mean “feeling” His presence.

Are you standing on God’s Word with a humble, broken, repentant heart?

Are you willing to yield to the direction of the Spirit?

Are you actively engaged in dealing with the things that hinder His presence in your life?

Then don’t be discouraged by “feelings” when things get tough. Rest in God’s sovereignty. He is our stability in unstable times.

Walk into Darkness! — Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God

God says,  “I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.”  Psalm 32:8-9

For years, I have pictured myself standing on the summit Mt. Baker, a beautiful glacier mountain peak in Washington state. Every time I catch a glimpse of the summit I thought, “I want to stand on the top of that mountain!” That moment came recently…

Our alarms sounded at 1 a.m. We start the climb from base camp at 2:30 am, yes in the dark. Our only light source was our individual headlamps. The limited vision is very unsettling. I was in the lead position on the rope of our group of four. With limited vision, the danger of falling into a crevasse dominated my mind. I notice crevasse lines in the snow that I had to step over, hoping the snow will hold. If not, I trusted my team would hold me. This hope was most intense in sections where no one has walked before me. There are also great open crevasses along the way that appear like the mouths of massive, hungry snow monsters, waiting for a snack!

I was inspired on by the lights of other climbers in the distance up the mountain… My thought, “They have made it so can we.” Behind me on the rope was my friend who had been up the mountain before, his words of direction and guidance where reassuring and comforting. After six hours and about a 5000 foot change in elevation, we reached the summit in almost perfect weather conditions. The exhaustion was mitigated by a sweet moment of satisfaction. We were above the clouds, the tops of other mountains look like islands in a vast sea. Thrilling!

In a life of faith there are moments that we realize the trail is a “walk into darkness.”  The fear of the “limited vision” is real but the desire to follow the direction of God will is greater than the fear. You know others have gone before you. There may be those that coach and encourage from a distance but you alone have to take the step, follow the direction. There are dangers but you know that no deep satisfaction will be yours unless you do! Yes there are those that may say you are crazy. God’s Spirit confirms his call!

Will you move forward, one cautious step at a time?

Walk into Darkness! — Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God

Feeling Uncertain — Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God

It always amazes me how God’s word speaks directly to the situations of life today.  God underlined His clear directives for us in uncertain times.

Every one of us faces uncertainty of some kind as we walk through life.

It varies for each of us in the details yet God’s directive is clear and direct for each one of us. Five little verses in 1 Peter 4:7-10 give us specific steps to take in uncertain times as we await Christ’s return.

“Be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in it’s various forms.”  1 Peter 4:7-10

1. Be clear minded. Stay focused on God and His strength and power. Look above the circumstances to His might and trust Him.

2. Be self-controlled. Pay attention to what is happening within your heart and mind and choose to dwell on the power of the Holy Spirit to help steady you. He will give you the power not to lean on unhealthy solutions in uncertain times.

3. Pray. Acknowledge God in every area of your life. Invite Him to come into your finances, your relationships, the question marks in your future and dialogue with Him about the uncertainties. Be sure to listen back to what He says by reading His word. This is not the time to allow dust to settle on your Bible.

4. Be hospitable. Look for ways to pleasantly offer hospitality to those around you. It may not always be in the conventional way of having someone into your home or sharing food. Hospitality is extending welcome, warmth and generosity in kindness. Greet your world in a friendly manner.

5. Serve others. In times of uncertainty it is easy to become self focused. Keep an attitude that looks out for others. It will enlarge your heart in ways nothing else can.
In following these 5 simple directives today you will be pouring out God’s grace, not only to those around you, but into your own heart as well. You will be lifted up above the shadows of uncertainty.

God knows that these 5 steps will take us a long way in experiencing His wonderful grace to hold us steady and to share that grace with the world around us. Name your uncertainty and pray the following prayer.

Father God, You are amazing in the clarity You give us as to how to live. Today the uncertainty of ________________ weighs on my heart. Please help me to stay focused on You today, to choose to rely on the power of Your Spirit within me, to pray about everything and to look beyond myself to offer kindness and love to those around me who also are experiencing their own uncertain times. Thank you that You give us all we need to walk today right where we are. Thank you that tomorrow You will again provide all I need. May I live in this day and in this moment sheltered in Your love. In the strong name of Jesus I pray with thanksgiving, amen.

Euphrates River drying up: Fulfilling Jeremiah’s prophecy?
The region, once known as the Fertile Crescent, is on the verge of a food crisis as the main sources of water disappear. Officials struggle to cope as a prophetic scenario appears. Iraqi officials are reporting that for three consecutive years, the rainy season has begun later and ended sooner than the historic norm. This has been coupled with less water flowing through its two main rivers, the Tigris and the Euphrates. The region has also been plagued by ongoing conflict.  “Desertification now threatens almost 40% of the area of our country – a country that was once one of the most fertile and productive in the region,” Iraq’s President Abdul Latif Rashid told the climate summit in Egypt last week.

Concealed carry permit holders surge past 22 million,
Joe Biden repeatedly has called for more and more gun control, but has accomplished relatively little … One area where he’s having literally no impact is on the issue of concealed carry permits. “A new and authoritative report put the number of permits held by Americans at 22.01 million. That number was a 2.3% surge over last year, according to John Lott’s Crime Prevention Research Center.” And nearly half the states allow citizens to carry guns with them without any permits required at all, … .

According to mainstream media, hospitalizations for respiratory infections are on the rise and “experts” warn of a potential “tripledemic” this winter, as COVID, seasonal influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are all in circulation The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports a 1% increase in new admissions of patients with confirmed COVID-19. Maine — which has one of the nation’s highest COVID jab rates — has the most COVID hospitalizations. RSV cases are also unseasonably high “Health experts” are now calling for voluntary indoor masking again, even though all the evidence garnered over the past three years confirms that face masks cannot prevent viral infection and spread.

What the midterm election results mean for Christian voters
“First of all, a little bit disappointing that only one in two Christians showed up, only slightly more than the general population. I think we saw about a 46% turnout broadly, and we saw a little over 50% of the Christian community.” “Only 19% of people said that their faith had some level of influence in their vote,” he added. “So what that says to me is that people are coming to the voting booth purely from a political perspective and not considering what the Word of God says.

Just In Time For Saturnalia, Umm, I Mean Christmas, It’s The Holy Spirit Talking Board For You To Have A ‘Guaranteed Demon-Free’ Séance With Jesus
I really wish this article today on the Holy Spirit Board was something from the Babylon Bee, but sadly, it is not. It’s hard to say what’s more demonic, the original Ouija board with its satanic gothic styling cues, or this one that presents Jesus in a mocking way, and drags the Holy Spirit into just for fun. The worst part is the number of Laodicean Christian churches that have already ordered it and are planning to have Fall Festival family fun nights. On sale

“From The Patriot Post (patriotpost.us)”.

“Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect every one who approaches that jewel.” —Patrick Henry (1788)

Facebook: Oops. Sorry, Patriot Post — Our Mistake!

Days after the latest election, Facebook notified us that it was lifting its speech-suppression restrictions on our publication.

Andrew Culper

As the marketing and social media director for The Patriot Post, I can tell you the last two years of deliberate Big Tech efforts to suppress free speech have created enormous challenges for us, particularly with the shadowbanning of our content by Facebook. I have had a front-row seat to witness the corrupt collusion between social media platforms and the Democrat Party, and we have documented this collusion.

The Wall Street Journal exposed Facebook’s politically motivated effort to silence conservative voices, but your Patriot Post team has documented the BIG Tech assault on our publication in hard data detail.

But with the midterm election in the bag, and Facebook/Meta stock collapsing to a five-year low, all of a sudden The Patriot Post has had all the restrictions against our account lifted. Must just be coincidence…

After 25 years of growth, which increased significantly as a result of posting our content on social media platforms since 2010, The Patriot Post’s incoming traffic from Facebook began to drop precipitously in June 2020. In fact, in a matter of months, it dropped 85% — the direct result of shadowbanning and suppression of our reach, ostensibly justified by ratings for our site from Facebook and other leftist media platforms. Facebook has censored our verifiably factual content using its spurious so-called third-party “fact-checks” under the auspices of “transparency.”

In Mark Alexander’s recent analysis, “Hypocrisy Alert: Facebook’s Record Fine for Transparency Violations,” he provided the latest evidence of how Facebook has become the Democrats’ biggest marketing and promotion platform. “Mark Zuckerberg, DBA ‘Meta,’ which owns Facebook and Instagram, coordinated with the feds to suppress information unfavorable to Joe Biden in 2020,” he wrote, “and since then coordinated with the Biden administration to continue this suppression.”

Meta was fined a record $24.7 million for campaign finance disclosure violations — a fine imposed by one judge in one state, Washington. Judge Douglass North issued a ruling fining Meta the maximum allowed penalties for more than 800 violations of Washington’s Fair Campaign Practices Act.

That’s right. The world’s most prolific speech-suppression platform, the self-appointed arbiter of truth, is being fined for its lack of transparency. Writing a check for $25 million is chump change for Zuckerberg, but exposing his abject hypocrisy is priceless.

I joined The Patriot Post team to find the best avenues for promoting our timeless analysis of issues important to American Liberty, and early on, that was a breeze! Given that Facebook is the largest social media platform in the world, it was, and remains, an unavoidable resource for getting our message in front of a large audience. At the time, we had a rapidly growing number of followers — those who actively indicated to Facebook that they wanted to see our content in their news feeds.

We still have a very large and growing number of Facebook followers, but they have been seeing little or none of our content.

The Patriot Post has had accounts on all top social media platforms for as long as they have been important information providers. Significantly, our advancement director, Christy Chesterton, protested the early signs of social media suppression of our content, noting, “We built Facebook.”

Indeed, there are more than 100 million grassroots American conservatives on Facebook, and many use the platform as one of their primary news sources. We know this, and Facebook knows this, which is precisely why our publication and others have been actively suppressed.

Ahead of the 2020 election, Zuckerberg decided he knew best what information Facebook users should see — and what he and his leftist cadres did not want them to see. But how to do that?

Earlier in 2020, we received a “hate speech” strike from Facebook. The subject was a meme we produced asserting that parents who subject their children to gender dysphoric indoctrination and alteration are guilty of child abuse. At the time, Alexander discovered a group of Rainbow Mafia thugs that was reporting to Facebook any content we posted objecting to its gender-confused agenda. Likeminded speech suppressors then did their bidding to ensure the reach of our dissenting views was increasingly limited.

As punishment, our audience reach was greatly diminished. Throughout the year, we were subjected to nine different “fact-checks” or “community standards violations,” a mind-numbing increase. In June 2020, Facebook permanently banned us from advertising, which was a requirement in order to extend our reach. Its broad reasoning: repeated “violations” of its community standards. We appealed this suppression of speech, but were advised the decision was final, despite the fact that we were never pointed to the specific community standards we had supposedly transgressed. No recourse, no details, just done.

I have routinely checked every month for two years to see if the appeal process had changed. That door was welded shut … until this week.

With the midterm elections over and with Meta hemorrhaging value, Zuckerberg laying off more than 11,000 employees, and Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter promising an end to suppression of free speech, this week the option to review and appeal the strikes against our account mysteriously opened.

I submitted a request and waited. Within a matter of hours, The Patriot Post’s account was fully reinstated. The official response we received after two years of requesting reviews: “We determined that access to advertising was incorrectly restricted. Your Business Account’s ads, shops and other assets that were affected will return to their previous status. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

In other words, “Oops.” Nevertheless, our ability to expand the reach of our content was restored.

As Alexander has noted previously, it is long past time for Congress to take on this behemoth and end its politically motivated speech suppression. Under Democrat control, he wrote, “The Big Tech platforms are assured of no meaningful Demo challenges to their Section 230 protections and they will not be subjected to congressional anti-trust hearings and litigation.” Now, however, “There is a new sheriff in town.”

Good Riddance to a Petty, Classless Speaker

Outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi presided over the most partisan, most poisonous era in modern American politics.

Douglas Andrews

Why are we honoring this woman — have we run out of humans?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a San Fransicko Democrat if ever there was one, announced yesterday, to no one’s surprise, that she won’t seek to remain as leader of her party’s congressional caucus. Thus ends a toxic two-decade tenure as one of the most powerful politicians in modern American history.

As The Wall Street Journal reports: “Mrs. Pelosi, 82 years old, who made history as the first woman to be named speaker, played a central role in the passage of the Affordable Care Act, the opposition to former Republican President Donald Trump and the response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, the party will need to decide on a new leader as it heads into two years in the minority ahead of the 2024 presidential election.”

“Pelosi,” Ben Shapiro tweeted, “will be remembered for three things: driving her party HARD to the Left, reorienting it to the extent that a San Francisco radical was now outflanked by an entire branch of her own caucus; spending more money than any human in history; and getting rich off stock trades.”

We don’t think Shapiro’s assessment is wrong so much as incomplete. Nancy Pelosi will be remembered for the most childish, most petty, most despicable breach of decorum in the modern history of American politics, which she achieved when on the night of February 4, 2020, she conspicuously and flamboyantly tore up President Donald Trump’s State of the Union speech while the nation looked on. It was a pathetic display, one befitting a petulant teenager, and it marked the bottoming-out of American politics. And it was premeditated, as evidenced by the little starter-tears she methodically worked into each section of the speech.

We challenge you: Name another politician who, given the history and the majesty and the gravitas of the office, would have defiled the speakership in such a way.

That’s what Nancy Pelosi will be remembered for.

As to the Left’s outrage at House Republicans for their refusal to genuflect for the vanquished speaker, media critic Joe Concha said this: “So if reading this trending topic correctly, some down here are calling Republicans classless because they didn’t stand and clap for Nancy Pelosi after her speech today … the same House speaker who showed such class when tearing up a State of the Union speech in 2020? OK then.”

Pelosi will, of course, be remembered for other things as well. Power Line’s John Hinderaker adds two more memorable items to the list:

First, she pioneered the tactic of drafting 1,000-page bills in secret and voting on them 24 hours later. Remarkably, no one in the liberal commentariat had any problem with this. It will be interesting to see whether the Republicans now do the same thing. If they do, it will be a scandal.

Second, Pelosi is a stock trader of genius. She has brought insider trading to a whole new level, generating a nine-figure net worth. And evidently it is entirely legal if you are the Speaker of the House.

Mom always said, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.”

To which we say, “Sorry, Mom, but Nancy Pelosi will be remembered — at least by thoughtful adults — as the most petty, childish, churlish, vindictive, privileged, and holier-than-thou speaker of the House in our nation’s history.”

Go ahead; change our mind. We’ll wait.

Want more pettiness, more childishness? Pelosi said yesterday on the House floor, “I have enjoyed working with three presidents.” Of course, she served as speaker alongside four presidents.

Pelosi herself — the “devout” “Catholic” who was denied communion due to her unquenchable thirst for killing unborn babies — had the audacity to invoke the Bible: “Scripture teaches us that, for everything, there is a season — and a time for every purpose under heaven. As Speaker, it has been my privilege to play a part in forging extraordinary progress for the American people.”

“Extraordinary progress”? If she does say so herself. And by whose measure, anyway? Are we getting better and cheaper healthcare because of ObamaCare? Are our roads and bridges and power grid in a better place due to that “infrastructure” bill she and Joe Biden passed? Is anything affordable after the American Rescue Plan? And how’s inflation looking now that she helped ram through that laughably named Inflation Reduction Act?

“American democracy is majestic but it is fragile,” she said. “Many of us here have witnessed our fragility firsthand, tragically in this chamber. And so democracy must be forever defended from forces that wish it harm.”

It’s a republic, Nancy, not a democracy. But whatever.

Goodbye, and good riddance.

House GOP Announces Biden Probe

Establishing the corruption of Joe and Hunter Biden is crucial, but Republicans mustn’t be seen as vengeful.

Nate Jackson

Joe Biden is a corrupt 50-year resident of The Swamp who used his drug-addled son Hunter to make a lot of money from the ChiComs and the notoriously crooked Ukrainians in an influence-peddling scheme. We already know this, though thanks to a scandalously suppressive media, millions of voters in 2020 did not. Thus, House Republicans, fresh off winning the chamber, announced that when they officially take control come January 3, they will investigate the Biden family for these shady overseas dealings.

“The Biden family’s business dealings implicate a wide range of criminality from human trafficking to potential violations of the Constitution,” said Representative James Comer, who will chair the House Oversight and Reform Committee. “In the 118th Congress, this committee will evaluate the status of Joe Biden’s relationship with his family’s foreign partners and whether he is a president who is compromised or swayed by foreign dollars and influence. I want to be clear: This is an investigation of Joe Biden, and that’s where the committee will focus in this next Congress.”

This is an investigation of Joe Biden.”

Indeed, that is the point. No one cares what Hunter Biden does with drugs, prostitutes, or refrigerator artwork except insofar as it pertains to his dad, “the Big Guy.” In his own memoir, Beautiful Things, Hunter admitted, “There’s no question my last name was a coveted credential.”

Comer says possible crimes include conspiracy, wire fraud, tax evasion, money laundering, and violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and the Trafficking Victims Protection Act. Oh, and the GOP report adds “potential violations of the United States Constitution’s Foreign Emoluments Clause.”

“As part of our investigation,” Comer added, “we have evidence that the finances, credit cards, and bank accounts of Hunter and Joe Biden were comingled, if not shared.” He also noted that Hunter’s associates met then-Vice President Joe Biden.

Congressman Jim Jordan, incoming chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, gave a reminder that it wasn’t just the Leftmedia but the deep state helping to cover up Biden corruption. “Never forget what happened on October 19, 2020, 15 days before the most important election we have in our country,” he said of the day former National Intelligence Director James Clapper and 49 other former officials in the U.S. intelligence community dismissed emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop as nothing more than “Russian disinformation.”

That was itself disinformation.

Predictably, Team Biden dismissed the GOP investigation of “long-debunked conspiracy theories.” A White House Counsel’s office spokesman huffed, “President Biden is not going to let these political attacks distract him from focusing on Americans’ priorities, and we hope congressional Republicans will join us in tackling them instead of wasting time and resources on political revenge.”

You mean like how Democrats wasted time on numerous Donald Trump witch hunts and impeachments based on fabricated evidence? The difference here, of course, is that Biden almost certainly actually did do something wrong.

That said, Democrats still have their allies in the press, and there’s a very real risk of Republicans looking like exactly the vengeful cadre Democrats will paint them to be.

“The public thinks both sides are corrupt and the GOP is stupid and chaotic,” said political analyst Erick Erickson. “Going after Hunter Biden as a top priority instead of economic issues, etc. feeds the public perception the GOP is not serious.”

It is critical to get to the bottom of whether the current president of the United States corrupted himself through the shady dealings of his son and whether those dealings jeopardize the national security of the country. It is also important to be serious about addressing the top priorities of voters. Republicans should be able to walk and chew gum and the same time. Should.

Former Biden associate Tony Bobulinski, for one, is looking forward to the investigation. “I think the American people are going to see those facts,” he said. “I think they’re going to be shocked by those facts. And hopefully justice is served.”

Executive News Summary

Sam Bankman-Fried reveals the truth about ESG, House GOP wants audit of Ukraine money, and more.

Nate Jackson & Jordan Candler

  • Sam Bankman-Fried reveals the truth about ESG: When mega Democrat donor and crypto currency king Sam Bankman-Fried lost a fortune in recent days, it was big news. His company, FTX, was one big virtue signal for celebrity lefties everywhere. His focus was what he called “Effective Altruism.” But he’s also now given the game away regarding the Left’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy. “In the future, I’m going to care less about the dumb, contentless, ‘good actor’ framework,” he announced. “What matters is what you do — is actually doing good or bad, not just talking about doing good or using ESG language.” As for the other folks who lost money in his venture, he feels “bad” that they were suckered into “this dumb game we woke westerners play.” Too little, too late.
  • House GOP wants audit of Ukraine money: A number of House Republicans have introduced legislation to audit the funding Congress has appropriated for Ukraine’s fight against Russia’s invasion. There are important reasons to counter Russian aggression, but Ukraine is famously corrupt — ask Joe and Hunter Biden. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia led a handful of other Republicans in pushing for the audit because “the American people deserve [to know] where their hard earned tax dollars are going to a foreign country who is not a member of NATO and President Biden himself said he would not defend.” The White House just requested another $37.7 billion for Ukraine.
  • Federal court creates Section 230 conflict: In a little-noticed ruling earlier this month, the Fourth Circuit Court may have altered the course of free speech on the Internet. “Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act does not immunize ‘all’ online publication decisions,” explains Jason Fyk, founder of the Social Media Freedom Foundation. “The Fourth Circuit Court just determined Section 230(c)(1) no longer protects a service provider when it acts upon third-party content (i.e., as a secondary publisher or content provider), especially if those substantive contributions are unlawful.” It’s the fundamental publisher vs. platform argument. The ruling creates a conflict with an earlier ruling from the Ninth Circuit Court, and it increases the likelihood that the Supreme Court will weigh in.

Trump’s Hyperbole vs. Biden’s Deception

A study in Trump Derangement Syndrome and media hypocrisy for overlooking Biden’s attempts to mislead.

Emmy Griffin

It’s fair to say that former President Donald Trump is a polarizing figure. People either love him or hate him, and you’d be hard pressed to find an American who didn’t have a set opinion on him. Trump is a flawed individual, but his every action, word, and deed have been dissected by the carrion crows of the mainstream media (MSM). According to them, the guy can’t make a right move.

Trump, for his part, thrives on the conflict and is happy to fight back. When he was eventually kicked off Twitter and Facebook, he was largely silenced. The media felt the vacuum keenly. They quickly realized that their Trump Derangement Syndrome fomentation was their only good source of cash flow. CNN’s ratings have dropped so much that its attempt at a streaming platform, CNN+, flopped after a month.

So it was with great alacrity and anticipation that the MSM devoured and picked through Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign announcement on Tuesday. The speech unleashed the media gremlins who have been starving for the dollar signs his words represent.

CNN “fact-checkers” listed 20 examples of “false or misleading” claims in his Tuesday speech. The Washington Post — which changed its slogan in 2017 to “Democracy Dies in Darkness” in a direct declaration of war against Trump — reminded us that he allegedly made 30,573 false claims over four years. This is absolute insanity. Who the heck has time to count all the false claims someone says in four years (if they are in fact false claims)?

The truth is that many of these so-called “false claims” are actually hyperbole or satire, and that’s exactly what has endeared Trump to so many. But the rabidly deranged media cannot take a joke or countenance exaggeration of any sort — perhaps because they assume everyone is as literal and foolish as they are.

The biggest kicker of this “false claim” nonsense is that it is so cynical and hypocritical of the media to pick apart Trump’s jokes and hyperbole while ignoring Joe Biden’s juicy whoppers that he tells on a regular basis with the intent to mislead.

There is a world of difference between exaggerating the truth and outright deception. To lay out a perfect example, in Trump’s speech this week, CNN dinged him on claiming that we “surrendered $85 billion worth of the finest military equipment anywhere in the world.” CNN says that we only surrendered “about $7.1 billion — a chunk of about $18.6 billion worth of equipment provided to Afghan forces between 2005 and 2021.” Trump should have been more accurate, but the exact number doesn’t really matter at the end of the day — that’s $7.1 billion of American taxpayer dollars. Trump’s point is that it was wasteful and a disgrace. The American taxpayer is at the heart of this point.

Then compare that to Biden’s lie that the Inflation Reduction Act will cost zero dollars. Or, speaking of zero, his lie that inflation had fallen to 0%. The average American is not at the heart of this inappropriately named bill or of Biden’s attempts to escape blame, but leftist cronies who fund the political machine certainly are.

Our Douglas Andrews has long been on the beat of Biden’s allergy to the truth. He lists the ones that are most egregious. Biden had to drop out of his 1988 presidential run due to plagiarism. He claimed that he marched in the civil rights movement. He did not. He claimed he attended a historically black college, Delaware State University. There is no evidence that this is true. He claimed he got arrested trying to meet Nelson Mandela. This is hysterically false. He claimed that his son Beau died in Iraq. Beau passed away in Delaware from cancer.

Then there are his policy lies. Biden claims he has the executive power to forgive student loans. He does not. He claims that puberty blockers are perfectly safe for gender-confused kids. Even The New York Times is backtracking on this lie.

The list goes on and on.

Perhaps the worst, most cynical lie our president tells is the slanderous claim he makes regarding the death of his first wife and baby daughter. As political analyst Kevin Williamson once put it: “The driver of that truck went to his grave haunted by Biden’s lies, to the point where his children were forced to beg the vice president to stop defaming their late father. The casual cruelty with which Biden is willing to subordinate the lives of ordinary people to his political ambitions — for the sake of a petty tear-jerker line in one of his occasionally plagiarized stump speeches — is remarkable.”

Trump’s embellishments are generally to crack a joke or to emphasize a point — primarily that he’s the best and his opponents are the worst. Biden’s lies are tools he uses to grapple his way to power. The MSM blithely ignores the liar-in-chief because Sleepy Joe does nothing for ratings. Trump, though, is the golden goose. Any opportunity to drag his name, his achievement, and his words through the mud, and the MSM happy obliges.

The double standard is so obvious, it’s no wonder the American people think the MSM is to blame for “democracy” being in danger.

Biden Turns 80 Amid ‘24 Speculation

The oldest president ever is still being cagey about his prospects for running again in 2024.

Lewis Morris

Sunday is President Joe Biden’s birthday, and it’s a historic moment. No president has ever celebrated his 80th birthday while serving in the White House. Biden already holds the record for being the oldest person, 78, ever to become president — a record that smashed to smithereens the previous mark held by Donald Trump, who was a spry 70 when he took office.

Biden, of course, had already showed signs of diminished mental capacity before taking office. Journalists who are supposed to inform the public instead colluded with Democrats to hide this from low-information voters during his 2020 presidential campaign, during which he was kept from prying eyes and rolled out only for carefully managed, media-friendly events.

Many people who voted for Biden can no longer deny that he seems less than fit for the office he now holds. High-ranking Democrats and even some of his inner circle — speaking anonymously, of course — believe that Biden appears addled and out of sorts. And that’s putting it kindly.

The White House has already noted that Sunday’s birthday will be a low-key affair. The spin is that the Bidens aren’t big on celebrating birthdays, but the reality is that no one wants to call attention to the number EIGHTY, as it will surely put focus on Biden’s mental health. The last thing the White House wants is speculation about Biden’s fitness for office as he mulls a second term.

Biden’s plans for a 2024 run have led to a great deal of speculation almost since he took office. Of course, he and his handlers want to keep alive the idea of a second term to avoid being treated like a lame duck for the rest of this term. But there’s legitimate concern that he may not have the cognitive ability or physical stamina to make it through the first four years, let alone a second four that would make him 86 years old by the time he leaves office. This assumes, of course, that Biden would win reelection.

The Swamp is alive with speculation about what Biden will or won’t do. Some say he’s likely to run, feeling energized by the muted Republican performance in the midterms. He may also feel a personal desire to run now that Trump has announced his candidacy for 2024. There’s no love lost between the two political rivals, and the appeal of a rematch may be too much to pass up.

Our own Mark Alexander is on record saying Biden will not run in ’24.

If Biden were to leave office before the end of his first term, Vice President Kamala Harris would become president. This is an unsettling thought for many Democrats, as Harris is even less popular than Biden and perhaps even less fit for the task. Such a scenario would likely hand the White House to the Republicans in 2024. But this, too, assumes that Harris remains as VP.

Washington insider Douglas MacKinnon, who worked for Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, introduced an idea that would solve the Harris problem and put the Democrats in a comfortable position to defend a Biden-less ticket in 2024.

According to MacKinnon, the administration could replace Harris with California Governor Gavin Newsom. After Newsom assumes the vice presidency, Biden could resign and leave Newsom in office to face a 2024 presidential campaign from a position of entrenched power.

As for Newsom, many Americans realize that his state of California may be the worst-run in the nation, but it’s the bluest of bastions in the Democrat electoral fortress. Newsom was elected in 2018, and despite having been subject to a recall election last year, he easily prevailed and was reelected last week by a wide margin. He is already considered a potential 2024 presidential candidate.

All this seems like an outlandish strategy for keeping the White House, but these are the Democrats, and there are no precedents for the state of political affairs in America today.

Will our 80-year-old president run again in 2024? C’mon, man!

“False is the idea of utility that sacrifices a thousand real advantages for one imaginary or trifling inconvenience; that would take fire from men because it burns, and water because one may drown in it; that has no remedy for evils except destruction.” —Cesare Beccaria (1735-1794)

“To paraphrase Voltaire after he attended an orgy, once was an experiment, twice would be perverse.” —National Review editors on Trump’s 2024 ambitions

“Former President Barack Obama in 2010 lost 63 seats. Is Biden, therefore, more charismatic or more energetic than Obama? Was his agenda more successful and popular? Given such high Republican expectations, the blame game for the loss is as strident and confusing as was the election itself.” —Victor Davis Hanson

“Election Day voting in most states has been reduced to about 30% of the electorate. What replaced it is an utter mess of early balloting, absentee balloting, mail-in balloting, ranked voting, run-off voting, and endless counting. The Left saw winning advantages with these radical changes, many made under the pretext of the COVID-19 lockdowns. And it has mastered them to such a degree that most Republicans with small leads at the end of Election Day now expect to lose over the subsequent days and weeks.” —Victor Davis Hanson

“Mannered Republicans may have scoffed at how Biden and the Left demagogued the abortion issue, or slandered Republicans as semi-fascists, and un-American insurrectionists. They shrugged at Biden’s hokey efforts at buying off young voters with amnesties for marijuana convictions and student loans or offering slightly cheaper gas by draining the strategic petroleum reserves. But all those low-minded strategies resulted in high left-wing enthusiasm and turnout.” —Victor Davis Hanson

“The Left smeared conservatives as democracy destroyers and violent insurrectionists. So, when the Republicans offered nonstop negative appraisals of Biden’s failed policies without commensurate alternative positive agendas, they unknowingly fed into the Democrats’ false narrative of cranky nihilists. Could not Republicans have offered an upbeat and coherent contract with America that offered uplifting, concrete solutions to each of Biden’s messes?” —Victor Davis Hanson

For the Record

“Remember the raid? Heavily-armed FBI agents showed up at Mar-a-Lago in the early hours of the morning. Dozens of them entered the residence, threw Trump’s aides out of the rooms and searched every ‘nook & cranny.’ They even went through Melania’s closet. They were looking for top-secret documents. In the weeks that followed, the Washington Post, New York Times, and other major media published one article after another, quoting unnamed sources at the Justice Department, FBI, and intelligence services on what they found. Trump had nuclear codes! Trump was going to give classified material to Putin! Trump was going to blackmail his political enemies. Trump took the documents to sell them. On and on it went. Fast forward to November 14th. With virtually no fanfare and no apologies, the Washington Post did a follow-up. Here’s the key quote: The investigation ‘has not found any apparent business advantage to the types of classified information in Trump’s possession,’ nor ‘any nefarious effort by Trump to leverage, sell or use the government secrets.’ In other words, ‘never mind.’” —Gary Bauer

“[Sam] Bankman-Fried has a lot of company among the global elites in the ‘savior class.’ Take, for example, the guilt-ridden gasbags bloviating about climate change while traveling on private jets, acquiring multimillion-dollar homes and dining on expensive delicacies. Meanwhile, the rest of us have to give up our cars and eat insects. Or, as the World Economic Forum advertised a few years ago, we’ll ‘own nothing and be happy.’ We’ll rent everything, you see — from the ‘savior class,’ of course. Like SBF, they’ll get even richer doing it. But their wealth is OK because it’s all for the good of the planet. … The ‘money handout’ theory of economic development has been definitively disproven… The best way to raise standards of living for the world’s poor is to help them become self-sufficient and productive, their countries free and prosperous. But that requires economic growth, and would result in the real democratization of wealth. Those in the ‘savior class’ — of which Bankman-Fried is just the latest member — can’t have that.” —Laura Hollis

“Democrats benefitted from the FTX scam to the tune of $40 million, and they gave the FTX CEO a seat at the table for making crypto policy. They have a lot of questions to answer.” —Senator Tom Cotton

G20 Leaders Agree to Global Vaccination Passport to Limit Rights of Travelers: ‘Where Will It End?’

The leaders of the world’s largest economies at the G20 meeting held in Bali, Indonesia, this week did much more than discuss current economic troubles. They also drafted and signed a declaration in which the 20 countries agreed to adopt vaccine passports with the purported goal to promote global travel and tourism.

Stop the Steal: Truckers and Indios Back Bolsonaro, Start Shutting Down Brazil — The Gateway Pundit

Brazilian Indios reject the Communists who want to take away their land

As the Brazilian people continue massive protests against the stolen elections, the pro-Communist Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes has gone full fascist, moving to shut down bank accounts of pro-democracy trucking companies and arrest parents who bring their children to proetsts.

Like in Canada and the USA, truckers in Brazil are freedom-loving patriots who support President Bolsonaro and want to stop the Communist takeover of their country by CCP-owned, convicted embezzler Lula da Silva.

Bolsonaro fought to to support the trucking industry and keep Diesel prices low – so much that Diesel prices actaully DECLINED in Brazil over the last months while Joe Biden’s failed policies were sending gas prices through the roof in the USA.

That’s why after the stolen election Oct. 30, truckers took to the roads all over Brazil, erecting road blocks and honking horns.

Then President Jair Bolsonaro called for protestors to obey the law and maintain order.

Since then, Brazil has seen the largest and most peaceful mass protests in world history.

Which the lying media ignore.

President Jair Bolsonaro, the “Trump of the Tropics“, is so beloved by his people he can wade into a crowd with no security and is cheered for it.

If “Lula Ladron“ (Lula the Thief) did this he would regret it. No way this guy got 60 million votes!

The Gateway reported  on the crooked Supreme Court, which meets in secret with the Communist junta, has issued orders for 43 trucking and other companies to fine them hundreds of thousands of dollars, revoke their licenses and have their bank accounts seized.

So the truckers are back! Today, they began a General Strike to shut down Brazil.

Truckers barricading roads in Mato Grosso province.

Yesterday truckers began blocking roads all over Brazil and calling for the Army to save their country.

The Supreme court now even wants to go after parents who bring their children to protests.

Even the Indios are protesting for Bolsonaro, because they don’t want radical foreign environmentalists to take their land away from them and tell them how to live.

Despite what the Fake News media says, President Bolsonaro supports reasonable clean energy and environmental protection, and is a huge friend to the Brazilian indigenous population, who travel hundreds of miles to support him:

The Brazilians are being censored by the Fascist Supreme Court.

We urge all our readers to get on social media and help them share their stories.
