There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "…truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity–it is simply true and that is the end of it" – Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
Fauci emailed friend saying masks were ‘ineffective,’ pushed for mandates anyway, Missouri AG says
Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt on Friday shared a ‘tidbit’ from Dr. Anthony Fauci’s deposition in which he allegedly stated that masks were ‘ineffective’ before supporting mandates
Dwight L. Moody, the great nineteenth century American evangelist, once said: “I know the Bible is inspired because it inspires me.”1 We also know that: “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16). Our great Creator designed the Bible to be the finest book ever written to positively motivate us to enjoy life to the fullest and to be a blessing to our fellowman.
In our world today there are so many negative forces that bombard us it becomes increasingly difficult to not only be motivated to be our best but also to experience a positive self-image. And without a positive image of who we are we will never be able to strive for greatness. May I submit to you as we examine who we are in light of the teachings of the Bible we will get fresh inspiration each and every day to excel as the special people God has designed us to be.
And the great secret to developing a great self-image is to know who we are in Christ. For you see our natural self-image can never reflect the vast potential we all possess because we are mired in sin. But once we accept Jesus into our hearts we develop a fabulous Christ-like image; and this makes a world of difference. For the individual who knows who they are in Christ they will be able to be more than inspired to do great things because they are now children of the King – Jesus.
But just who are you in Christ? Well, the Bible tells us the following:
Genesis 1:27 tells us: “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”
1 Peter 2:9 shares: “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
Romans 8:16-17 proclaims: “The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ.”
Deuteronomy 14:2 excitingly states: “for you are a people holy to the Lord your God. Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the Lord has chosen you to be his treasured possession.”
From the above verses we can see that we are created in the image of God, are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special people, children of God, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, and God’s treasured possession! I don’t know about you but just reflecting on who the Bible says I am in Christ inspires me to want to do great things for the Lord. Next to the Trinity you are the hottest things in the universe to God. So, the next time you are feeling down why not look up to your Creator and reflect on who you are in Christ – it will inspire you to become all who God created you to be.
“I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken”. — Psalm 16:8
Thought
There are many things that can trouble our lives, but none that can shake us loose from the grip of God’s grace if our hearts remain pointed at Jesus as our Lord and our hope remains focused on the Lord’s return. If Jesus is our Lord, then all of life’s greatest blessings lie ahead of us and he will let nothing rob us of this coming glory!
Prayer
Holy Lord, you are worthy of majesty, honor, and praise. I lift up your name, O God, and place it above every name. As I look to the future, I want to honor you and I want to journey with you there. Since I believe you will never leave or forsake me, I will always look ahead to find you leading the way. Through Jesus I pray. Amen.
Last winter, I was driving down a back road and came upon an unexpected curve. Because the road was icy and I was going too fast, I went right off the road and into a bank of snow. Thankfully everything was okay and I didn’t have to tell my husband (except now he will know, ugh).
That curve caught me totally by surprise!
Life has a way of catching us by surprise, doesn’t it?
Maybe it’s an unplanned pregnancy, a trip to the dentist, a spouse that has left, a broken down car, a job loss, an angry embittered teen, a DUI, the loss of a close friend or family member.
We can experience many unexpected turns in our lives. Some curves seem more irritating than anything else and others curves change our lives forever!
I have often found myself asking God . . .
Why are You allowing me to experience these turns in my life? Why did you not give me any warning signs? Why didn’t You straighten out the road so that I could avoid these turns? You’re God, You can do that!
Years ago, I watched a friend of mine cope with an incredible unexpected curve in her life. One day while working she fell from a high platform and was paralyzed from the waist down. For anybody this tragedy would seem devastating but for Beth I think it was even more overwhelming because she earned her living by using her legs – she was an athletic director. Beth is one of the most athletic people I know. She was my volleyball coach when I was in College and that’s how we became friends.
Talking with her one day, I asked her if she ever struggled with anger and bitterness towards God. Her answer didn’t surprise me because I know Beth but it did amaze me. She said, “No, I know that this is His plan for my life and I’ve accepted that. But I want you to know that I’m looking forward to Heaven! I’ll have my legs back and you won’t be able to catch me!”
Beth has taken this unexpected curve in her life and embraced it! She has found her identity in Christ alone and she’s allowing God to use her in the place He as designed just for her.
I’m becoming more and more convinced that life is a series of unexpected curves.
And the real question is NOT why did this happen to me or why did You allow this in my life? BUT, how am I going to choose to live my life through this unexpected curve? Will I let bitterness and anger invade my soul? Will I turn away from God? Will I refuse to see His goodness in the midst of the turn? Or will I embrace the pain and surrender my heart to God? Will I bow down to my Maker and acknowledge that He is God and I am not? Will I trust Him when I don’t understand?
How do you respond when your life takes an unexpected turn? Do you spend your time questioning His goodness or do you surrender to His will for your life?
Jeremiah 29:11-12 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Do you believe this? Will you embrace the unexpected curves in your life? Trusting Him for the things you cannot see and resting in His perfect plan for you.
Europe to U.S.: Learn from our $800 billion green energy ‘disaster’ As President Biden continues to pour billions of dollars into “renewable” energy while curbing U.S. oil and natural gas production, Europe’s green transition has come to an emergency halt. Israeli coalition deal gives far right’s Itamar Ben-Gvir control over the police, including in the West Bank Itamar Ben-Gvir, the right-wing Israeli politician called a “pyromaniac” by his critics because of his penchant for inflaming his country’s deep tensions, will head Israel’s police forces, under the terms of a deal inked with Benjamin Netanyahu early Friday. The deal would expand the ministry of internal security, the old name of the cabinet position in charge of the police, into the ministry of national security and would also give Ben-Gvir authority over border police in Palestinian territories, according to the terms reported in Israeli media. In the role, Ben-Gvir will have the power to carry out some of his long-held wishes, including loosening rules so that officers can open fire on Palestinians who throw stones and expanding the ability of Jews to pray on the Temple Mount, the Jerusalem site that is home to the Al-Aqsa mosque.

Outgoing lawmaker pursues new legal avenue in abortion fight Outgoing state Rep. Tim Miller proposed a “Life City” ordinance before the Prinsburg City Council last week. The ordinance would allow citizens to sue medical providers for helping to carry out an abortion within city limits. The mother or father of the child would not be subject to litigation. Prinsburg, a deeply conservative town in central Minnesota, does not have an established abortion facility. But Miller, who presented in his capacity as director of Pro-Life Action Ministries, argues the ordinance is important nevertheless.

A top European official reportedly blasted President Joe Biden and his response to the Russia-Ukraine War, saying that the U.S. has “profited the most” from the war.
According to a Politico report, top European officials believe that while Europe has struggled following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, America has made money off of gas and weapons.
“The fact is, if you look at it soberly, the country that is most profiting from this war is the U.S. because they are selling more gas and at higher prices, and because they are selling more weapons,” a senior official, who was not named, reportedly told Politico.
The official added that the U.S. needed to realize that public opinion throughout Europe was changing, especially as the continent has faced skyrocketing energy prices, which are only expected to get worse as winter sets in. He said that many Europeans were becoming increasingly skeptical of the U.S. and the war, which has dragged on since March.
“We are really at a historic juncture,” the official said. “America needs to realize that public opinion is shifting in many EU countries.”
The U.S. has already provided billions of dollars in weapons to Ukraine with the Biden administration has signaled that it will keep on sending more, asking for another $38 billion in the last week, including defense aid.
When asked about claims the U.S. was responsible for high gas prices in Europe, a spokesperson for the National Security Council pinned the blame on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“The rise in gas prices in Europe is caused by Putin’s invasion of Ukraine and Putin’s energy war against Europe, period,” the spokesperson said, before adding that exports of liquified natural gas allowed Europe to become less reliant on Russia for energy.
The comments come after European nations were forced to scramble for new power supplies after Russia severed natural gas shipments and the Nord Stream pipeline system sustained unprecedented damage from an unknown actor.
Russia accounted for 40% of the European natural gas supply last year, a rate that had dropped to 9% as of three months ago. Germany, the continent’s largest economy, has seen dependence on Russian natural gas decrease from 55% to 35%.
“I think it has been addressed for this winter,” BP CEO Bernard Looney said about storage levels, even though some spend up to half of their disposable income on energy. “It’s the next winter I think many of us worry, in Europe, could be even more challenging.”
An Australian cardiologist has called for halting the use of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 mRNA vaccines after seeing a rise in heart conditions he believes are caused by the shots.
The conclusion by Dr. Ross Walker of Sydney came after
two prominent cardiologists – Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Aseem Malhotra – publicly stated the best explanation for the “sudden and unexpected” deaths and cardiac events in otherwise healthy people is the COVID-19 vaccines.
Daily Mail Australia, which reported Walker’s concern about the vaccine, reported the case of 18-year-old Monica Eskandar, who was rushed to a hospital with “terrifying chest pains” just hours after her first COVID vaccination. Diagnosed with pericarditis, she was forced to miss the exams Australia requires to pass secondary school.
“I’ve seen 60-70 patients in my own practice over the past 12 months who have had similar reactions,” Walker told the paper.
“I’ve seen other people with chest pain, shortness of breath, heart palpitations.”
He said he’s seen many people develop symptoms about three to six months after vaccination.
In a recent lecture, he argued that vaccines in the past have been removed from the market “for much less” evidence. In the case of the COVID vaccines, he said, “we have got the highest level quality data,” indicating the adverse events occur in at least 1 in 800 cases.
“This vaccine needs to be suspended completely,” he said.
See excerpts of Malhotra’s speech:
“We have pulled vaccines in the past for much less, we have got the highest level quality of data, saying this is 1 in 800 at least ~ this vaccine needs to be suspended completely” ~ @DrAseemMalhotra
In a video posted on Twitter in September, Malhotra said the COVID mRNA vaccine likely is a “primary cause in all unexpected cardiac arrests, heart attacks, strokes, cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure since 2021, until proven otherwise.” He called for a suspension of the shots, arguing in a scientific paper that there is evidence the risk of harm is greater than any benefit.
Malhotra – an internationally renowned expert in the prevention, diagnosis and management of heart disease – is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and president of the Scientific Advisory Committee of The Public Health Collaboration. He also is an honorary council member to the Metabolic Psychiatry Clinic at Stanford University School of Medicine.
