The God of Israel, History – and America?

Fulfilled prophecy and God’s faithfulness throughout the Bible encourage us because we know we can trust that He will make good on the remaining prophecies regarding Israel, the return of Christ, and the end times. No nation or world leader comes into power apart from God causing or allowing it to happen. The book of Daniel states: “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things (Daniel 2:20-22).”

The Sneaky Agenda of Globalists

Some would argue that globalists are knowingly supporting Satan’s agenda for a one-world government while others argue they are simply ignorant pawns doing what they think is best for humanity. More than likely most are simply being used by those in power because they are ignorant of God’s Word.

But the reality is Satan’s ill-fated agenda is progressing rapidly through governments, science, culture and even in professing Christianity. The moves are often subtle, but the end-results chilling as the world will one day worship the Anti-Christ instead of the one true God.

Patrick Wood of Technocracy News is a disciple of Jesus Christ on the cutting edge of the globalist agenda. Today he shares more news stories on how technology and world systems are slowly bringing humanity into captivity.

  • I don’t normally link to this site, but I think this issue is important.
  • This is another important issue. It’s not okay to encourage women to stay in abusive relationships. I have news for leaders who would teach accordingly: if a man is striking his wife, he already has abandoned the marriage. The church should be a place of safety and protection for her, not a place where she is told she must “submit to” and “elevate” her husband, who is the source of her black eyes.
  • Golly, gee, do you think the Bible might be true?
  • Let’s pray for this boy!
  • Here’s your weekly dose of adorable.
  • Good grief, people are stupid.
  • I still think it’s worth it.

God is to be trusted when His providences seem to run contrary to His promises. God promised David to give him the crown, to make him king; but providence turns contrary to His promise; David was pursued by Saul, was in danger of his life; but all this while it was David’s duty to trust God. The Lord does oftentimes, by cross providence, bring to pass His promise. God promised Paul the lives of all that were with him in the ship, but now the providence of God seems to run quite contrary to His promise; the winds blow, the ship splits and breaks in pieces; and thus God fulfilled His promise; upon the broken pieces of the ship, they all come safe to shore. Trust God when providences seem to run quite contrary to promises. —Thomas Watson

Albert Mohler Blog: “Life in the Balance in Liverpool — Alfie Evans Is Not Alone”

In this essay, Dr. R. Albert Mohler, Jr. considers the case of Alfie Evans and the UK’s subversion of parental rights. Mohler writes:

“One of the most important rights throughout human history is the right of parents to make decisions concerning their children’s welfare. Almost every culture and civilization has honored this principle—formally or informally–as a basic human right and a necessary foundation for family flourishing. Western countries often recognized parental rights as natural rights—rights that cannot be compromised by government interference. But in the case of Alfie, the state is redefining parental rights so that they extend only as far as the government or other elites, such as the medical elites, determine.”

Q & A Friday, and the Many Facets of Sin

Exactly what is sin? Does the Bible discuss every potential sin? What about Paul’s discussion about a clear conscience regarding his beliefs and actions? This is one of the many topics you want to talk about today. Other topics include:

Choices of conscience relating to causing a brother to stumble.
Is it a sin to take anti-depressant medications?
Should we turn to psychologists to help us with certain problems?
Helping those struggling with sexual sin.
Is “meditation” wrong for Christians?
Is Christian persecution in America just around the corner?

Waking Up From our Deep Slumber as Christians

Accurate history provides a picture of where we are today and where we might be headed in the future. A look back at the history and trend of Christianity in America over the past fifty years does not paint a rosy picture. We have watched God and His Word be thrown out of public schools and most people stood by in silence. We have witnessed more than 50,000,000 babies murdered and barely a murmur of protest from the Christian community. Homosexual “marriage” became legal and we fear to speak up about sin because we don’t want to offend anyone. And now we are reaping the harvest from our indifference and selfish attitudes, watching a majority of our children walk away from biblical Christianity, embracing the lies of the enemy.

What will it take to wake up the Christian Church in America? Has she become so addicted to wealth and comfort that she is on the verge of looking more like the apostate church in the final days rather than the Bride of Christ that Paul and John talked about?

Elijah Abraham has a first hand view of the Christian Church both here in America and around the world. He sees American Christians living the life of comfort while true believers around the world put their lives on the line every time they attend church or mention the name of Jesus. Elijah joins us today to share his perspective.

Christians Now Targets of Choice

Five recent news stories indicate a concerning trend in America; a shift from disagreeing with Christians to discriminating against them. Sadly, these attacks are slowly becoming accepted. The most disturbing story involves a bill passed in California that could ban counseling services and the sale of books expressing orthodox Christian views about sexual immorality.

Discernment or Witch Hunts?

In the Word of God the word “discern” means to test, examine and scrutinize. In other words to carefully examine what is being presented and make a correct judgment consistent with the teachings of the Bible. But in some circles these days the word discernment has become another word for attack, discredit and destroy.

Discernment based on the Word of God is necessary and crucial to our growth in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ. Discernment is a gift to make sure we are not deceived and led astray by false teachers who preach a false gospel. But these days some who claim to represent discernment ministries use their resources to hammer any professing Christian who doesn’t believe exactly what they do about any or every teaching in the Word of God.

There is an important role to be played by discernment ministries, but how can we tell which ones are solid and biblically based and which are out to garner attention or divide the Body of Christ in a way that is harmful?

Pastor Randy White joins us to discuss this and help us understand how to discern between those serving the Body of Christ and those who are self-serving. We also look at the significance of the anniversary of Israel’s seventieth year of existence in modern times.

An Insider’s Look at the Prosperity Gospel Movement

Benny Hinn is one of the best-known purveyors of the dangerous Prosperity Gospel movement. He has made wild, unfounded claims, twisted scripture to its breaking point, and proclaimed “prophecies received from God” that have not come true. The Bible says that is the first sign of a false prophet. Hinn lives a life of luxury built on the backs of naive followers who want the alleged anointing and the riches that the Prosperity Gospel promises if you just have enough faith.

Hinn’s nephew Costi was on the inside of the movement for years, but God has delivered him from its grip; and now Costi is speaking out against the dangerous teachings of Uncle Benny’s organization. This morning we cover Costi Hinn’s discussion with Justin Peters about his journey into and out of this dangerous heresy.

As with all people who are deceived by a false gospel, we pray that God will open their eyes to the deception and help them see the true nature and character of God.

Fighting for Those Caught in Sexual Lies of the Enemy

We start with a basic truth: All humans are sinful and rebellious against God until the grace of God opens our eyes to our sin, leading us to confession, repentance and believing in Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord of our lives. If not for the grace of God, any one of us could be deceived into believing the lies we hear throughout our culture and even in the church. Many of us who have been enlightened and saved by faith will struggle with temptation and sin until the day we die.

Today we tackle the growing confusion regarding sex, gender, identity, and sin and what we can do to lead others to the truth of God and His Word. For twenty years, Mike Levenhagen of Reclamation Resource Center has been dedicated to speaking the truth in love to those not only imprisoned to homosexual or gender-related lies, but also to those who struggle with heterosexual lust and adultery. Check out the podcast and hear Mike’s testimony.

Educational Fraud Continues — The Patriot Post

Earlier this month, the 2017 National Assessment of Educational Progress, a.k.a. The Nation’s Report Card, was released. It’s not a pretty story. Only 37 percent of 12th-graders tested proficient or better in reading, and only 25 percent did so in math. Among black students, only 17 percent tested proficient or better in reading, and just 7 percent reached at least a proficient level in math.

The atrocious NAEP performance is only a fraction of the bad news. Nationally, our high school graduation rate is over 80 percent. That means high school diplomas, which attest that these students can read and compute at a 12th-grade level, are conferred when 63 percent are not proficient in reading and 75 percent are not proficient in math. For blacks, the news is worse. Roughly 75 percent of black students received high school diplomas attesting that they could read and compute at the 12th-grade level. However, 83 percent could not read at that level, and 93 percent could not do math at that level. It’s grossly dishonest for the education establishment and politicians to boast about unprecedented graduation rates when the high school diplomas, for the most part, do not represent academic achievement. At best, they certify attendance..

Is the U.S. Government Evil? – LewRockwell

“The greatest evil is not now done … in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the office of a thoroughly nasty business concern.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Screwtape Letters

Is the U.S. government evil?

You tell me.

This is a government that treats its citizens like faceless statistics and economic units to be bought, sold, bartered, traded, tracked, tortured, and eventually eliminated once they’ve outgrown their usefulness.

This is a government that treats human beings like lab rats to be caged, branded, experimented upon, and then discarded and left to suffer from the after-effects.

This is a government that repeatedly lies, cheats, steals, spies, kills, maims, enslaves, breaks the laws, overreaches its authority, and abuses its power at almost every turn.

This is a government that wages wars for profit, jails its own people for profit, and then turns a blind eye and a deaf ear while its henchmen rape and kill and pillage.

No, this is not a government that can be trusted to do what is right or moral or humane or honorable but instead seems to gravitate towards corruption, malevolence, misconduct, greed, cruelty, brutality and injustice.

This is not a government you should trust with your life, your loved ones, your livelihood or your freedoms.

This is the face of evil, disguised as a democracy, sold to the people as an institution that has their best interests at heart.

Don’t fall for the lie.

The government has never had our best interests at heart.

Should We Sacrifice the Gospel on the Altar of Social Justice? | Answers in Genesis

Messianic Politics – The Aquila Report

Whenever we cite Jesus in support of the political causes we care about, let’s do so honestly, in keeping with what he actually said and did in this world. If we give Scripture honest and humble inquiry, the risen Christ may well bless us such that we’re not seeking to sign him up to support us in our activism, but that we become active in supporting his ongoing work in the world.

The first part of such statements denies the core biblical truth that Jesus IS in fact alive today. Though it seems unlikely, perhaps someone saying this simply means, “If he were still in the world today…” but that still presupposes a distance between Jesus and real life, as if to say, “If he could speak from heaven, he’d agree with me on this …” whereas Scripture claims to be the living, active voice of the Lord in and to the world (2 Timothy 3, Romans 10, Hebrews 4).

It’s much more likely that the person claiming Messianic support for preferred political policy means, “hey Christians – you claim to love Jesus. Well, here’s the kind of political policy he would have supported so you should support it, too.” In that case, the person wants it both ways, denying the central truth of the book by which we learn almost everything we know about Jesus and yet claiming such a confident knowledge of Christ that well, of course Jesus would support the policy in question. As if to say, “We reasonable people know that Jesus is dead and that the Bible isn’t really God’s word, but if you claim to love a risen Savior and to believe the Bible, you should agree with our take on him and support our politics.” Of course, there are lots of disagreements about the true significance of what Jesus teaches in Scripture. But that only makes it all the more incumbent upon us to study Jesus’ life deeply, and honestly.

If we’re going to cite Jesus in support of our politics (or personal opinions about anything), we should do him the decency of studying Scripture seriously, of looking deeply into and taking within their own context his claims about himself, the nature of his ministry, and the nature of God’s kingdom and what it looks like lived out in the world. And that inquiry, if it’s honest, involves serious consideration that Jesus’s claims about life and death and resurrection are actually true (John 11) and serious consideration of his call to personal faith in him (John 3).

Some who cite Jesus in support of their politics want Jesus’s moral teachings minus all that stuff about his being God in the flesh and calling the world to conformity to God’s law. But Jesus’ closest friends believed him to be God (John 1) and Jesus grounded all of his ethics in Scriptural doctrine (Matthew 5-7; 22:37-40). Jesus teaches that loving our neighbor as ourselves only happens fully and consistently when we first love and worship the one true and living God, who makes his moral will for us known in his law. Jesus never separated the call for social justice from the call to personal righteousness. Profound anti-Christian thinkers like Nietzsche understood this: You can’t have Christian ethics without Christian doctrine. We Christians need to remember this, too.

The WMD Fraud – LewRockwell

Disordered thoughts on the National Cockatoo’s latest antics

One:  The aghastment and horrilation about the terrible, appalling, shocking etc nature of gas warfare is nonsense. There is nothing unusually hideous about the use of toxic chemicals. Hideous, yes, but not unusually hideous. Boring old workaday artillery, that nobody criticizes, leaves children watching as mommy frantically clutches at intestings spilling from her opened belly, leaves men without legs trying to drag themselves along until gushing femoral arteries end consciousness, causes traumatic brain injury that leaves its beneficiaries drooling and burbling for life. Poison gas can do no better.

The whole business of WMD, Weapons of Mass Destruction, is two-thirds twaddle useful for herding dim publics. Gas has very seldom been used since the World War One days of Wilfred Owen, not because of its vileness but because it has not proved particularly useful militarily. Horribleness does not bother soldiers, who are amoral when they are not actually sadistic.

Biological warfare? It sounds, like, you know, really scary and all, but in fact is not militarily enticing because it is not controllable and can backfire on its users. It serves nicely, however,  to alarm publics with minds of low voltage.  We are most especially supposed to be frightend of anthrax. Since it is not contagious it is more in the nature of a poison and in any event hard to use.

Only three weapons of mass destruction exist: Nuclear explosives, artillery, and aerial bombing. Think Dresden, Hiroshima, Guernica, Falluja.

CultureWatch: California’s Ugly Anti-Christian Bigotry

California is quickly becoming America’s most Christophobic state. And at the same time, it is becoming the most pro-homosexual state. Sure, there are plenty of the other 49 states in competition with California to take out this ‘honour.’ But as has often been said, California is a land of fruits and nuts, so we expect this sort of thing to especially take place there.

The latest outrage taking place there is California Assembly Bill 2943, which will effectively clamp down on all attempts to help those who are not happy with their same-sex attractions. You can see the bill here: leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=201720180AB2943

If it passes in the Senate and becomes law, it will be a major blow to religious freedom and to those who want help in their sexual journey. This is not the first time the state has pushed such things. Back in 2012 California passed legislation declaring it illegal for minors to receive any help for same-sex attraction, even if they and their parents wanted help.

This bill would take things even further, banning adults from getting the help they so desperately may seek. David French helps us to understand just what this nefarious bill is all about:

Assembly Bill 2943 would make it an “unlawful business practice” to engage in “a transaction intended to result or that results in the sale or lease of goods or services to any consumer” that advertise, offer to engage in, or do engage in “sexual orientation change efforts with an individual.”

The bill then defines “sexual orientations change efforts” as “any practices that seek to change an individual’s sexual orientation. This includes efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions, or to eliminate or reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same sex.” (Emphasis added.)
http://www.nationalreview.com/2018/04/california-progressives-launch-another-attack-on-free-speech/

This is real scary stuff folks. It is certainly an all-out war of freedom of speech and religious freedom. And it is an attack on the very core of Christian beliefs: the idea that Jesus Christ is able to radically change a person’s life. Not only can an individual be set free from various wrong actions, but desires can also be changed by God’s grace.

But a bill like this would effectively criminalise any such help offered to a person, certainly any that involves the sale of any goods or services. So a Christian counsellor who offers a nominal fee for his clients would be denied doing what he does. And of course any books or resources would also be banned from sale in such cases.

Given that the Bible itself obviously has so much to say on these issues, then it becomes apparent that it too may have to be banned, at least in connection with helping those who want out. Of course lefties, and the leftist Snopes “fact checker,” are claiming there is nothing to fear here. But they are simply seeking to deceive us.

Quite to the contrary, this is draconian legislation, and there is plenty to fear, including seeing books and Bibles eventually banned. As Robert A. J. Gagnon has just recently written on this:

Sure, it is virtually impossible that the state of California will immediately attempt to ban the sale of the Bible itself. Not even the hard Left in California has that kind of chutzpah. But citations of Bible verses in the context of declaring homosexual practice and transgenderism to be morally debased could indeed get one into serious trouble with the law if it comes in the context of selling or advertising a product or service….

The salient point is that there is nothing in the bill that would prevent the state from outlawing all religious or moral instruction that seeks to change homosexual behavior and transgender identity. The only limitation on the state is its own self-policed chutzpah regarding “LGBTQ” coercion.

Read the bill. It says: “This bill intends to make clear that sexual orientation change efforts are an unlawful practice under California’s Consumer Legal Remedies Act…. ‘Sexual orientation change efforts’ means any practices that seek to change an individual’s sexual orientation. This includes efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions, or to eliminate or reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same sex…. The following unfair methods of competition and unfair or deceptive acts or practices undertaken by any person in a transaction intended to result or that results in the sale or lease of goods or services to any consumer are unlawful: …. (28) Advertising, offering to engage in, or engaging in sexual orientation change efforts with an individual.”

There is no religious exemption. There is no restriction to mental health professionals. There is not even a restriction to claims about changing a person’s sexual orientation or transgender feelings in whole or part. The bill is quite clear that any “efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions,” are included in the ban on attempts to change a person’s “sexual orientation.”

So you would be violating the law if you advertise that Christ can empower people not to engage in homosexual practice or not to identify as “gay” or “transgender” because such behaviors and self-identities are morally wrong, or if you offer to engage or actually engage in efforts to persuade people of Christ’s power to transform in this area, you will be in violation of California AB 2943, at least so long as your advertising or efforts involve an exchange of money for goods or services.

Consequently, all of the following could be treated as violations of the law if California Assembly Bill 2943 passes the state senate and is signed into law by the Gov. Jerry Brown: Selling religious or secular books (pamphlets, videos, audios, etc.), holding conferences, teaching courses in a college or seminary where tuition is paid, giving a speech at a paid venue, counseling people for a fee, or perhaps even posting online articles in a site that requires a paid subscription, in which it is asserted (in whole or part) that it is morally wrong for people to engage in homosexual practice or identify as “gay” or “transgender.” There is certainly nothing in the bill that exempts such practices from prosecution by the state. We have learned that when it comes to “LGBTQ” matters what is exempted is not exempted for long and what is not exempted has no exemption. If you haven’t figured this out by now, you haven’t been paying attention.

As my lawyer friend Greg Teufel notes: “Of course they would not immediately apply it so broadly [as to ban the Bible]. But the day after of the bill becomes effective, try this and see what happens: Set up a booth with a big sign that says ‘You don’t have to stay gay’ with Bibles for sale. Explain to anyone that asks that if they buy the Bible, in it they will find the way to reduce and resist all manner of sinful impulses and temptations, including same sex attraction and same sex sexual behavior. Plus they can attend your Bible study class, for a fee, where you promise to explain more about what the Bible has to say about sin and how change is possible. Add that, ‘I know scientists may refuse to believe it, but all things are possible with God.’ Then have someone make a complaint about it, and see what happens. Wanna bet what would happen?”

This is the latest step in California’s war against freedom, against faith, and against family. We all should be shocked and horrified at just how far down the gurgler California is going. The rainbow juggernaut continues to roll on, crushing anything in its path.

Enthusiasm for Censorship Has Deep Roots Among Liberals – LifeZette

Silencing the voices of those who disagree with them has become the weapon of choice for many on the Left in America, especially on college campuses

Are the Left’s demands to ban so-called hate speech on college campuses a passing trend that conservatives can wait out? When shouting campus protesters hold signs that read, “We condemn freedom of speech that hurts other people’s feelings,” should conservatives take this seriously?

They should. The call to regulate offensive speech has deep intellectual roots on the Left. In fact, much evidence suggests that such regulation is necessary to bring about many of Left’s political and moral goals. Conservatives can better grasp where this trend is going by turning to some of its more articulate proponents.

Church of The Donald – Politico

Never mind Fox. Trump’s most reliable media mouthpiece is now Christian TV.

By RUTH GRAHAM

A generation ago—even a few years ago—. . . Christian TV was largely the province of preachers, musicians, faith healers and a series of televangelism scandals. Politicians were leery of getting too close. To establishment evangelicals, not to mention the rest of America, Christian TV was hokey at best, and disreputable at worst.

But in the past two years, largely out of view of the coastal media and the Washington establishment, a transformation has taken place. As Christian networks have become more comfortable with politics, the Trump administration has turned them into a new pipeline for its message.

“This dance between administration politics and televised religion is new, and is built on a connection between Trump’s message and the Christian TV worldview that runs deeper than it might first appear. It also offers a different kind of answer to the puzzle of why an impious man who can barely manage to pay lip service to actual Christian belief earned a higher percentage of the white evangelical vote than predecessors including Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush—and why, if anything, his bond with those voters appears to be growing stronger.”

“Trump has appeared 11 times on CBN since his campaign began; in 2017 alone, he gave more interviews to CBN than to CNN, ABC or CBS.

“Having White House officials regularly on screen gives new legitimacy to media organizations that have long felt looked down upon.”

“If you look at his evangelical advisory council, it’s people with media connections. … That’s a weird slice of the evangelical world.”
