According to Ephesians 5:18 (https://www.bible.com/), we are to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit. Let Him control your life so that you can be an effective witness, understand His Word, love like He loves, live on the miraculous edge, and move continually in obedience to His instructions. When you are filled with Him, you will better understand I Corinthians 12:11 – the “Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.” 1 Cor. 12:30 teaches that not all speak with tongues, and 1 Corinthians 12:13 and Romans 8:9 show that no one gets into God’s family without the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Since there is no condition to salvation other than repentance, trust and personally receiving Jesus by asking in faith, (Romans 10:9-13, 1 John 4:15), if you are saved, the Holy Spirit lives in you whether or not you speak with tongues. In Ephesians 4:10-13 the purpose for the gifts of the Spirit is stated – “for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.” I pray you will be thankful for the gift the Lord blesses your life with, and use it for His Glory.
