How Much Longer Can It Be? :: By Jonathan Brentner – Rapture Ready

We most assuredly live in biblical times. The convergence of signs is like that of the grand finale of a fireworks show that noisily illuminates the sky with its bright display of colors. Yet sadly, many believers and pastors turn their heads and walk away from the spectacle, telling themselves and others, “There’s nothing to see here.”

I also believe the words of Proverbs 1:20 apply here:

“Wisdom cries aloud in the street; in the markets she raises her voice.”

The myriad of signs, along with the voices of many students of Bible prophecy, sound the alarm regarding the nearness of the Tribulation. Wisdom continues to cry out with the message that Jesus is coming soon, but so few are paying attention.

A few months ago, I wrote about the blindness of our day in How Can You Not See? I still wonder how those who know Scripture can remain asleep and unaware of the signs that point to the nearness of Jesus’ appearing.

Now my question has progressed to: “How much longer can it be before Jesus catches us up to meet Him in the air?” 

Below are several reasons that cause me to ask this question.

The Rush to Divide Israel

When I look at Israel on a world map, I need to put on my reading glasses, and even then, it’s difficult to discern the nation’s boundaries. Most countries this small receive little or no attention on the world stage. However, almost all the world leaders are now focused on both Israel and Jerusalem.

The Bible predicted this would happen at the time of the end (Zechariah 12:1-3). The U.S. and other nations have become preoccupied with settling the Palestinian matter, believing this will magically bring peace to the entire region.

During his speech at the UN, President Biden called for a two-state solution as the path toward peace in the region. When he met with the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu seemed willing to go along with it to a limited degree, perhaps as part of the deal with Saudi Arabia that Netanyahu now predicts will become a reality sometime in early 2024.

The rush to divide Israel tells us that the Tribulation period is ever so near because it will be during this time that the Lord will judge the nations that cut up His Land (Joel 3:1-3). Those with a passion to provide a state for the Palestinians are fulfilling biblical prophecy; God said this would happen at the time of the end.

The Push for Digital Currencies

Another telling sign that speaks to the nearness of the Tribulation is the push for digital currencies.

During the September 2023 meeting of the G-20 nations in New Delhi, India, the leaders: “agreed to a plan to eventually impose digital currencies and digital IDs on their respective populations, amid concern that governments might use them to monitor their people’s spending and crush dissent.” This pact includes a pledge “to build the necessary infrastructure to implement digital currencies and IDs.” ^[1]

The antichrist needs such a system in place by the midpoint of the Tribulation in order to control buying and selling throughout the world (Revelation 13:16-18). He won’t be able to do this if it’s possible for people to use cash or write checks for their purchases.

In America, the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) is coming by way of the Federal Reserve’s FedNow, which has gone live. Many major banks are now participating in the program, which makes the transferring of money immediate.

David Bowen, in his article, FedNow Goes Live, Paving The Way To A Central Bank Digital Currency on the Harbingers Daily website, wrote this about the matter:

The Federal Reserve claims this is the alternative to a CBDC — a Central Bank Digital Currency. But really, this is a stepping stone to a CBDC. Once the public gets more comfortable with the speed of FedNow and the system is accepted as the standard procedure, you’ll get a Central Bank Digital Currency.

The inevitable collapse of the economy in the U.S. will speed up the path to a CBDC in America, which will quickly become a unified worldwide currency during the Tribulation, if not before it starts.

The Threat of War

After we are in glory with Jesus, He will open seven seals on what I believe is His title deed to all the kingdoms of this world (Revelation 6:1-8). The text tells us that war will be a factor in the killing of one-fourth of the earth’s population.

Do we see such a deadly conflict on the horizon? Yes, we do.

Michael Snyder recently wrote this on his blog concerning this threat:

Most Americans have absolutely no idea how close we are to the unthinkable. Even though leaders all over the globe have developed a really bad case of war fever, the vast majority of us here in the United States

 are entirely convinced that everything will be okay somehow. Most of us believe the talking heads on television when they assure us that our politicians have everything under control and that it is extremely unlikely that a nuclear conflict will happen. But on the other side of the globe, they see things very differently. On Tuesday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told the United Nations that the world is being pushed to the brink of the “final war “…^[2]

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov recently stated “that the U.S. is conducting a ‘war’ against Russia” with its support of Ukraine.^[3]In the past several weeks, I have read many accounts of Russian officials warning the U.S. of a nuclear attack because of its support of Ukraine’s war effort.

Gatestone Institute senior fellow and China expert Gordon Chang said this regarding the possibility of a war between the U.S. and China:

We’re much closer to a nuclear exchange than Americans think. China is preparing to go to war…. China is surveying the United States for nuclear weapons strikes, so we’ve got to realize the gravity of this. The problems inside the Chinese regime right now indicate that Xi Jinping in the rocket force, which controls almost all of China’s nuclear weapons, he’s now installing officers who will obey his orders to push the button when he gives it. ^[4]

It’s remarkable that Biden’s support of Ukraine has not yet boiled over into a Russian attack on America. Just this week, we heard news of U.S. Abram Tanks heading to Ukraine and Biden’s plan to supply the nation with long-range missiles. Unless Vladimir Putin has the patience of Job, these things will lead to a direct attack on America.

UFOs and Aliens

This may seem like an unusual sign of the end times; however, the wide acceptance of extraterrestrial life, along with many governments acknowledging their existence, demonstrates the increased activity of Satan to explain our sudden disappearance.

I have watched a few prophecy updates from Pastor Brandon Holthaus on this matter; his insights demonstrate the progress that the devil has already made in perpetuating this deception. In one of his videos, he quoted a U.S. Navy pilot as saying that “UFO sightings are an everyday occurrence.”

A short clip of an interview I heard on Twitter last week confirms the wide acceptance of alien life among the elite of our day, or more likely, their willingness to perpetuate the deception. Yuval Noah Harari, bestselling author and confidant of Klaus Schwab from the World Economic Forum (WEF), predicted the end of human-dominated history because of an upcoming alien invasion. “History will continue with somebody else in control,” he said.

Why has Harari changed from advocating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and transhumanism as the future of mankind to that of one dominated by extraterrestrials? Does this surprising turn in his thinking not show just how far the Luciferian globalists are willing to go in preparing the world for our disappearance at the time of the Rapture?

Did you also notice that Harari, like so many others, naturally assumes that the aliens are far more advanced than humans in both intelligence and technology? They must create this illusion so that people believe they are capable of making tens of millions instantly disappear.

The Seven-Year Commitment

On September 18-19, 2023, a majority of member nations at the UN committed to a seven-year plan of accelerated growth to implement the 17 Strategic Development Goals (SDGs) of Agenda 2030. Although significant, let me quickly point out that this is NOT the covenant that the antichrist will make with Israel as prophesied in Daniel 9:27.

What this demonstrates is the determination of the world’s leaders to set up a one-world government that controls the lives of those it will enslave. It’s very clear that both the WEF and UN long for this totalitarian regime and want it in place by 2030.

It also tells us that things are going as well as the globalists would like. Although they achieved some progress through the COVID-19 scare and are seeking to make climate change a factor in bringing the nations together, things are not progressing as well as they had hoped.

On the fifth page of the document, we are told that there is an “urgent need to take the actions necessary to reverse declines and accelerate progress to achieve the 2030 Agenda and implement the SDGs.” ^[5]

Author and friend Terry James addressed this shortfall in his excellent article, The Crisis. He credited the Lord’s resistance with stalling the elite’s objectives to achieve their desired dominance. The calamity they need will come via the Rapture, which will happen according to God’s timing, not theirs.

The disappearance of so many people will give the globalists the emergency they crave. As the alien deception takes hold after the Rapture, the nations will readily join together to fight what they regard as a common enemy. In his interview, Harari stated that a united world would have a much better chance of resisting an extraterrestrial invasion.

The following quote from the UN’s SDGs meeting seems to say that an emergency such as caused by the Rapture would lead to greater control by the UN:

On that page, the UN openly admits that one of the purposes of “the Summit of the Future” is to “put in place a stronger international response playbook for complex global shocks, maximizing the use of the Secretary-General’s convening power in the form of an Emergency Platform.” ^[6]

There’s a sense of urgency in the statements coming from the UN. Is it because they are falling behind on their goals? Or do they know a great crisis looms in the future?

Days of Lot and Noah

The Lord predicted that end times would resemble the days of Noah (Matthew 24:36-39) and of Lot (Luke 17:28-29), and that is precisely what we see.

The Bible doesn’t provide us with details of the violence in Noah’s day, which was one of the factors that led to the flood (Genesis 6:13). However, I believe that the abortions, sex trafficking, and sacrificing of young children in satanic rituals in the U.S. must at least rival the violence prevalent in the world before the flood. These things also tell us that the wickedness of our day far exceeds that of Sodom and Gomorrah. It’s not even close.

I believe the U.S., in particular, is dangling by a very thin thread over a pit of destruction; we have long passed the day where we as a nation should have collapsed economically or ignited a deadly war with Russia or China. The Lord is sovereignly holding back these things until the time is right for His judgment.

There’s coming a day when all of us who trust Jesus as our Savior will instantly vanish, and not long after that, all of God’s current restraints will suddenly evaporate, and sudden destruction will fall upon the earth (1 Thessalonians 5:1-10).

How much longer can it be before we appear in glory with our Savior (Colossians 3:4)? I believe it’s very close.

On the other hand, I don’t know for sure how much longer it will be until Jesus takes us home to glory. Perhaps we will face increasing affliction in the coming months or during 2024.

However, we must also avoid thinking that the Rapture cannot happen today or in the very near future. Such is the new date-setting error of so many Christians today who assume that it won’t happen in their lifetime.

Maranatha! Perhaps today!

Unprecedented Cooperation, Peace, and Stability :: By Daymond Duck – Rapture Ready

On Sept. 20, 2023, during a meeting between Russia’s Defense Minister and Iran’s Minister of Defense and Armed Forces, the Iranian minister said:

• “Russia and Iran have developed to reach an unprecedented new level of cooperation and understanding.”
• “Our relations in the fields of defense and security have attained unprecedented development over the past decade.”
• “I have no doubt that our cooperation will lead to peace and stability on the world stage.”

It would be wise to consider what God said along these lines more than 2,600 years ago.

• In the latter years and latter days, Gog (the dictator) of the Land of Magog (Russia) will attack the re-established Jewish nation on the mountains of Israel (Ezek. 38:2, 8, 15-16).
• Persia (modern name is Iran) and others will cooperate (join) with Russia (Ezek. 38:5).
• Russia will be a guard (a defender) of Iran and the others (Ezek. 38:7).
• God will destroy Russia, Iran, and their allies (Ezek. 38:18-39:5).

Jesus said there will be wars and rumors of wars (not peace and stability) on earth until His Second Coming (Matt. 24:3-8).

After His Second Coming, there will be 1,000 years of peace, justice, and stability on earth (Rev. 20:1-6).

The Word of God (Bible) is unprecedented (not the words of wicked men).

• It prophesied the unique and incredible virgin birth of Jesus hundreds of years before it happened.
• It prophesied the crucifixion of Jesus hundreds of years before crucifixion came into being as a way of execution.
• It prophesied the incredible resurrection of Jesus on the third day after his death hundreds of years before it happened.
• It prophesied hundreds of historical events that have been verified to literally happen.
• It mentions hundreds of other facts that archaeologists have proven to be true, and all of this is why the Bible is the best-selling book in the history of the world.

The incredible prophecies in that unprecedented book (global government, cashless society, high-tech tracking all buying and selling, increase of knowledge with AI, cooperation between Russia and Iran in the latter years and latter days, etc.) are why many faithful students of Bible prophecy believe the Rapture will happen soon.

Here are some recent events that seem to indicate that time is short.

One, concerning the days of Lot, deceit, and censorship in the medical profession: on Sept. 18, 2023, it was reported that Britain’s General Medical Council (GMC) has told its employees to stop using the word “mother” and to use the word “parent” instead.

To my knowledge, this is unprecedented.

I do not think any other generation of medical professionals has found the word “mother” to be offensive to any group of people.

Heather Welford, a member of a group called “With Woman,” said the “decision by the GMC to obscure the fact that only women have babies is ideologically driven, medically inaccurate, and unhelpful to women and babies.”

Two, concerning corruption, the decline of America, and reducing the population of the world: on Sept. 20, 2023, I read that some conservatives are calling the approaching fake Covid-19 variant the “election variant.”

They contend that America has a fake president who got an unprecedented 80 million votes during the first fake Covid-19 variant, and he barely campaigned (another unprecedented fact).

Some conservatives believe Biben’s campaign got a big boost from fake mail-in votes, and Democrats want to do it again.

As I understand it, to try to legalize another large fake mail-in vote in the upcoming 2024 U.S. presidential election, the FDA, CDC, WHO, Democrats, and others are beginning to push another “election variant” (fake pandemic, jabs that are supposed to work but don’t, masks that are supposed to protect you but don’t, fake media reports, fake science, etc.).

How do we recognize the Covid-19 “election variant?”

Know that a lot of yard signs and political ads on TV are good indications that the “election variant” has arrived, and expect it to happen before major elections every 2-4 years from now on until the Rapture.

(More: On Sept. 26, 2023, it was reported that scientists do not know what the next virus to attack world citizens will be, so the UK Health and Security Agency has started calling it “Disease X.” They are already working on a vaccine for “Disease X” and the U.S.

, and several other nations have pledged $1.5 billion to fund the research.)

Three, on Sept. 26, 2023, it was reported that Fla. Gov. Ron DeSantis told an ABC News interviewer he will oppose funding for Covid jabs if he is elected president.

DeSantis said he wouldn’t fund them because “The Covid jabs have been linked to myocarditis, miscarriage, and numerous other consequences.”

Four, concerning deceit and corruption in America: on Sept. 19, 2023, it was reported that Federalist Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway said,

• “It’s just very interesting to hear all of this defense of democracy when the current strategy of the Democrat Party is to actually imprison their top political opponent and then try to keep American people from being able to vote for the candidate of their choice. That is a direct attack on free and fair elections. That is an attack on democracy.”

Five, concerning a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) in the U.S.: on Sept. 20, 2023, the House Financial Services Committee voted to prevent the U.S. Federal Reserve from issuing a CBDC, prohibit the U.S. Sec. of the Treasury from telling the Board of Governors to issue one, and it says that the U.S. cannot use a CBDC without congressional approval.

Do not make the mistake of thinking that CBDCs are dead in the U.S.

Notice that this was a vote in a House committee.

As I understand it, this means very little unless the U.S. House of Representatives passes it, and even if it does, Pres. Biden is likely to veto it.

Six, concerning a covenant of peace with many (see Dan. 9:27) in the Middle East: on Sept. 22, 2023, Israeli Prime Min. Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the UN General Assembly Meeting in NY City.

Among other things, Netanyahu said the world must choose between two visions of the future.

• One vision is a world with Israel, Saudi Arabia, many Arab and Muslim nations, and world leaders cooperating to bring “dramatic new blessings of peace and prosperity to all mankind.”
• The other vision is Iran and the Palestinians rejecting peace, world leaders doing nothing to stop Iran’s efforts to acquire nuclear weapons, with the result being an unimaginable and catastrophic war.

Using Scripture, Netanyahu told world leaders Moses presented the children of Israel with a choice when they entered the Promised Land. They could obey God and be blessed or disobey God and be cursed.

Then, Netanyahu told the world leaders they must choose between a blessing or a curse (a blessing of peace, prosperity and hope, or a curse of horrific war and terrorism).

(My opinion: God reveals what He intends to do before He does it. As I see it, Netanyahu—under the influence of God—told a gathering of world leaders at the UN it is decision time for the world. They can choose to be blessed by God by choosing to bless Israel, or they can choose to be cursed by God by choosing to curse Israel…

Based on my understanding of the prophetic Scriptures and what has been happening, Russia, Iran and others will choose the curse, start a war called the Battle of Gog and Magog, and lose. The other leaders and nations mentioned above will choose to require concessions from Israel—divide the Promised Land, etc.—that God warned them not to do, they will get a covenant with many and declare that they have achieved peace and safety, but they will come under a curse called the Tribulation period; Amos 3:7; Gen. 12:1-3; Ezek. 38-39; Joel 3:2; I Thess. 5:3. This sequence of events, in my opinion, might not be 100% correct, but the Word of God must be fulfilled as written.)

(More: On Sept. 22, 2023, Israel’s Foreign Minister said he has been meeting with other Muslim countries, and he believes six or seven of them will normalize relations with Israel if Saudi Arabia does.)

Seven, concerning corruption in the White House, lying to the American people, and the decline of America: on Sept. 21, 2023, it was reported that razor wire had been installed on the U.S.-Mexico border to halt mass illegal immigration at Eagle Pass, TX, and the Biden administration cut the wire to let thousands of people through.

Other things as I remember them are:

• Texas put a floating barrier in the river between the U.S. and Mexico, and the Biden administration sued Texas to have the barrier removed.
• The Biden administration opened some of the gates in the section of wall that Trump built and welded them open so they could not be closed back.
• The state of Arizona used cargo containers to block off some of the border there, and the Biden administration forced the state to remove the containers.
• Trump bought several million dollars of wall-building material that had not been used when Biden took over. The Senate eventually voted for Biden to use the materials to build sections of wall or give the materials to the states and let them build more wall. Before the bill got voted on in the House, Biden started selling the material for pennies on the dollar.

It is a proven fact that drug traffickers, sex traffickers, spies, and others are coming across our border, but Biden and his people tell us the border is secure.

If they are lying about this, what else are they lying about?

(More: On Sept. 24, 2023, it was reported that the U.S. Border Patrol apprehended 304,162 people in August who crossed the border illegally. 304,162 illegal aliens in one month is unprecedented, but Biden and his people say his policy is working. If his policy is to damage or weaken the U.S., it probably is working. By the way, a different report said the refugee shelters are full, and children are sleeping on the streets because there is no place for them to go.)

(More: On Sept. 24, 2023, it was reported that there are about 150 different gangs in the Mexican drug cartels with a total of about 175,000 members, and their membership is constantly growing. They are establishing gangs in the U.S., and Biden is aiding them by keeping our border open.)

Eight, about one month ago, I wrote the following:

• Concerning the Antichrist confirming (strengthening) a seven-year covenant that will begin the Tribulation Period (Dan. 9:27), it is looking more and more like that is shaping up.
• For one thing, UN Sec. Gen. Guterres has scheduled a meeting for Sept. 18-19 to push world leaders to commit to “seven years of accelerated, sustained, and transformative action, both nationally and internationally, to deliver on the promise of the SDGs” (Sustainable Development Goals that are in essence the creation of a world government).
• In my words, Guterres wants world leaders to agree (to make a covenant) to speed up the development of a world government by making more and faster changes over the next seven years.
• Understand that the UN voting to commit to bringing in a world government in seven years is one thing, and the Antichrist confirming (or strengthening) an existing seven-year covenant is another thing. The UN can vote for it in Sept., but the Antichrist can sign it any time during the seven years or later.

A few readers have asked what happened at the Sept. 18-19 UN meeting.

On Sept. 25, 2023, Michael Snyder (highly respected author, frequent guest on major radio and TV shows, etc.) reported that:

• The SDG goals are “essentially a blueprint for how the globalists want the world to be run.”
• World leaders pledged to do “whatever is necessary to meet those goals on time.”
• World leaders really do intend to implement the SDGs” by the time the UN General Assembly convenes in September 2030.”
• They are calling the next seven years “a new phase of accelerated progress.”
• “Extreme measures will soon be implemented all over the world.”

Nine, on Sept. 26, 2023, it was reported that Fla. Gov. Ron DeSantis told an ABC News interviewer he will oppose funding for Covid jabs if he is elected president.

Ten, the book of Revelation mentions six sins that people will not repent of during the Tribulation Period (witchcraft or Satan worship, idolatry, murder, sorcery, sexual immorality, and thefts; Rev. 9:20-21).

On Sept. 26, 2023, it was reported that CVS announced that it will continue to close stores (300 in 2022, 300 in 2023, and 300 in 2024) because of theft.

This is on top of Target’s recent announcement that it will close 9 stores for the same reason.

FYI: God does not send anyone to Hell (all of us are born with a sin nature and destined to go to Hell because we sin), but God has provided a way (Jesus) for everyone to go to Heaven (and He is the only way to get there; John 14:6).

Finally, are you Rapture Ready?

If you want to be rapture ready and go to heaven, you must be born again (John 3:3). God loves you, and if you have not done so, sincerely admit that you are a sinner; believe that Jesus is the virgin-born, sinless Son of God who died for the sins of the world, was buried, and raised from the dead; ask Him to forgive your sins, cleanse you, come into your heart and be your Saviour; then tell someone that you have done this.

Will He Find Faith? :: By Nathele Graham – Rapture Ready

We live in very interesting times. There’s no doubt we are living in the very last days. In fact, we may not see tomorrow. The prophecies spoken of by the prophets of God all seem to be being fulfilled quickly. Israel has very few friends among the nations, Russia is making friends with Israel’s enemies, the Third Temple is ready to be built, AI is an evil that is just getting started (could that stand for anti-iesous?), and much more.

Another sign of the times is apostasy. There are many people who profess to be Christians who have the most screwball beliefs imaginable. Mormons believe that if they’re good enough, when they die, they will become gods of their own planet; Catholics believe that what the pope says is sacred even if it contradicts Scripture; some so-called Christians think the church has replaced Israel, and the list goes on. Scripture contradicts all of these beliefs.

“I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8).

Jesus had just told a parable about a judge who was corrupt. He didn’t have any fear of God and could care less about people. A widow was having a problem and needed legal help, so she went to the judge and asked for his help. The judge didn’t care about her problems, but he also didn’t want her to keep coming to him for help. He decided to help her. This parable doesn’t condone corrupt judges, but it does encourage persistent prayer and faith. Our prayers should be only to God, and we should be in prayer always.

Although Jesus questioned if He would find faith when He returns at the second coming, I wonder how much faith He would find today. We should take heed today to be faithful and pray. We see earnest prayer being answered throughout Scripture. One of my favorite examples of earnest faith and prayer being answered is found in 1 Samuel. A man named Elkanah had 2 wives. One, Peninnah, was not a very kind or loving woman. She was able to bear children, which made her feel superior. The other wife, Hannah, wasn’t able to have children, but Elkanah loved her dearly. Peninnah treated her poorly.

“And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the LORD had shut up her womb” (1 Samuel 1:6). 

Have you ever had people mock you and torment you unfairly? How did you handle it? Hannah is a very good example. She didn’t whine to her husband nor did she seek revenge on Peninnah. She did pray.

“And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD and wept sore” (1 Samuel 1:10). 

Hannah was a sweet woman who loved God and knew that only He could help her. She didn’t pray for vengeance upon Peninnah for being mean, but her prayer was centered upon her request and how she would serve God if her prayer was answered.

“And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou will indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but will give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head” (1 Samuel 1:11). 

How many mothers dedicate their children to God, then forget to teach them about God? Hannah would follow through on her promise. Hannah’s prayer was between her and God, and she poured out her heart to Him. She didn’t speak out loud, but her lips moved. Eli was the priest, and, being only human, he misinterpreted what he saw. He thought she was drunk. Hannah set him straight.

“And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord. I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD” (1 Samuel 1:15). 

God answered Hannah’s prayer, and she gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, and he became a very important judge and prophet of Israel. His life was dedicated to serving God. Hannah was a woman of strong faith.

Another example of faith is found in Esther. She was a young Jewish girl growing up in Shushan, which was the winter palace of Persian kings. The Babylonian captivity was over, but many Jewish families chose to remain where they had lived for so many years. Esther was raised by her cousin, Mordecai, because her parents had died, and Mordecai was a very kind man. The king, Ahasuerus, was not a very kind man. When he had a party for a group of men, he wanted his wife, Vashti, to parade herself in front of them. Vashti refused and was sent away. That left the king without a queen.

Following his nature, he told his servants to gather all the fair young virgins and bring them to him so he could choose the one who pleased him the most. Yes, he was a jerk. Esther was one of the captured young virgins. Esther had a strong character and didn’t feel sorry for herself but cooperated. Mordecai never stopped his concern for Esther and advised her not to reveal that she was Jewish, and he checked on her daily.

After a year, it was Esther’s time to go in and be with the king. She was very pleasing to the king, and he made her his queen. We have to live every day by faith, and Esther couldn’t have imagined what God knew about her future but stayed faithful to Him. He had allowed Esther to be queen for a very special reason.

As time went on, it became known to Mordecai that an evil man named Haman plotted to have all the Jewish people in the kingdom killed. Haman had convinced the king to issue a decree that on the 13th day of Adar, the people were to kill all Jewish people. Because Esther was queen, she was in a position to stop the atrocity. The problem was the king didn’t know she was Jewish, and even so, if she approached him without being summoned, she could be killed. Mordecai had encouraged her to approach the king, but she told him of the very real possibility she would be killed.

“Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews” (Esther 4:13). 

In other words, she would die anyway simply because she was Jewish. Mordecai told her that she might be in the king’s house for this exact reason. God does work in mysterious ways, and He was working through Esther. So, Esther came up with a plan. It started with prayer and fasting.

“Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:16). 

What if Christians would have the faith to earnestly pray for each other and our governments? I’m sure our faith would make a difference. As it turned out, Esther was able to stop Haman from further evil. She had thrown a banquet where only the king and Haman were guests, and then a second banquet. As the evening progressed, Esther revealed to the king that she was Jewish and that she and her people were about to be slaughtered because of Haman.

King Ahasuerus was not one to wait for trial, and he had Haman hanged. The king reversed his decree, and there was no slaughter, but he did honor Mordecai and Esther. There was much celebrating, and this is now a Jewish celebration called Purim. Esther couldn’t have imagined what great things she would accomplish for God when she was abducted. Her dreams of becoming a Jewish wife of a Jewish man were forever changed, but her people were saved. She had great faith in God and acted upon that faith. But first, she asked for prayer and fasting. What if she hadn’t prayed? What if she had no faith?

Scripture is filled with many great accounts of faith and the rewards from God for faithfulness. Enoch was a man of great faith at a time much like today; evil was everywhere. He kept himself away from the evil and was able to instill in his children the same faith.

“By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death, and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had the testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:5-6). 

Enoch pleased God by his faith. He lived his life by God’s rules and not by participating in the demonic happenings around him. That’s what God expects from Christians today. Our faith should cause us to seek God and live according to His word. Enoch pleased God by faith, and he was taken prior to God’s judgment of the Flood. He stands as a picture of Christians being Raptured prior to Daniel’s 70th week, the final seven years of Earth’s history.

Today, there is much apostasy among those claiming to be Christians, which makes me wonder how much true faith is left. There is a remnant who follow Scripture, but we are getting fewer each day. Instead of God’s word being respected, we allow our children to be taught evolution. Instead of godly marriage being honored, people live together until they find someone new, then move on. Marriage has been perverted to include same-sex marriages, and people even think they can choose their gender… or even their species. Purpose-driven teachings undermine Biblical truth. Name it and claim it preachers make millions of dollars spewing their lies while Scripture goes unread. This is all happening now, prior to the Rapture, and true faith is becoming hard to find.

What will happen during the seven final years after the Rapture? Will Christ find faith when He returns? It will be near to impossible to be faithful to Christ during those final days. The man of sin will rule the world and require everyone to take a mark.

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name” (Revelation 13:16-17). 

The world is being primed today to bow to the beast and take his mark. After the Rapture, nobody can be saved who has taken the mark. There will be some who come to faith during the Tribulation, but it will be harder than it is today to stay faithful.

The best plan of action is to give your life to Christ today. You cannot be saved by being a good person. Salvation is by faith.

“For by grace are ye saved by faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). 

If you claim to be a Christian, then start living like Christ. Repent and turn away from your sin. Remember, God defines sin, not you.

Will He find faith when He returns? You need to answer that question and figure out where your faith lies.

September 30 Evening Verse of The Day

4:24 God is “jealous” in the sense that he tolerates no rival claims to deity and sovereignty. He alone is God, and all else is his creation. To worship the creature rather than the Creator is to rob God of his uniqueness and incomparability (vv. 35, 39; Ac 17:22–28; Rm 1:25). The Hebrew word translated “jealous” (qanna’) also means “zealous.” God’s jealousy is an expression of his intense love and care for his people and his demand that they honor his unique and incomparable nature.^[1]

4:24 God’s jealousy is the other side of His love. It is the zeal with which He seeks to maintain His relationship with those He loves. God’s jealousy has been called “the basic element in the whole O.T. idea of God.” Because God loves Israel, He will not tolerate losing their loyalty to another, for this would break the covenant and keep Israel from blessing and prosperity. Concerning God’s love, see 6:5, note.^[2]

4:24 God is a devouring fire The image of God as a fire functions as a warning to Israel against disobedience, specifically idolatry—this is made clear by the statement that God is a jealous God.^[3]

4:24 a jealous God. God is zealous to protect what belongs to Him. He will not allow another to have the honor that is due to Him alone (cf. Is 42:8; 48:11).^[4]

4:24 — “For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.”

The Lord is jealous in the sense that He will not share the hearts of His people with anyone or anything else. We belong to Him alone. Intimacy with God is His highest priority for our lives.^[5]

4:24 God who appeared at Sinai as a devouring fire was the God to whom Israel must be accountable. To those within the covenant bond love was the expression of his attitude to those ‘married’ to him. To those outside, including those who put themselves in that position by their own sinful actions, he was a jealous God who would come in judgment as a devouring fire (cf. the words of the Second Commandment, Exod. 20:5; Deut. 5:9). In contrast to this, New Testament believers are reminded that we ‘have not come to a mountain that can be touched and that is burning with fire’ (Heb. 12:18) but rather ‘to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God’ (v. 22).^[6]

Ver. 24. Even a jealous God.—The jealousy of God:—

The assertion that such a quality as this belongs to God as one of the attributes of His moral character involves a number of deep and awful considerations; they seem to include the love as well as the holiness and justice of the Deity in one complex idea; and to form, from the union of these qualities in one attribute of jealousy, a touching, as well as a tremendous, picture of His feelings towards us. For let us remark, first, that the existence of jealousy in God implies the previous existence of love. If He had not loved us Himself He would have been indifferent to our dispositions towards Him. If He had not felt that love was due from us to Him, as a return for love already exercised towards us, He would not have resented its being withheld, nor made use of this phrase as declaratory of the state of His affections. In agreement with this idea we find that jealousy in God is never spoken of except with a reference to those whom, in one sense or other, He has called and chosen as His own; whose love therefore He has a right to claim as due to Himself, in virtue of some covenant relation; and whose love He has excited by some previous exercise of favour and benevolence. Any wandering of affections, any deviation from the truth of allegiance, however slight it may seem to the eye of indifference, carries wounds and provocation to that of jealousy, and we may therefore say that such behaviour as this, when existing in the people of God, is calculated to excite in Him a feeling of resentment analogous to that which unrequited love and infidelity excite in the heart of man. Let us also remark that this attribute is peculiar to the true God, to the Jehovah of our worship. The idols of heathenism were imagined to be ready to share their honours with another, and were never supposed to object to the devotions which were paid to deities of other names or of other lands. They felt that they had no exclusive prerogative to power. They felt, or rather their worshippers felt, that even while they were the objects of adoration, they had no absolute dominion. And what was then true with regard to them is equally true with regard to the idols and idolaters of the world at present. They have no jealousy of one another. They are only jealous of God, and exhibit no feelings of the sort except when He is the object of attraction. Again, let us remark that the natural objects of jealousy are the affections of the heart. Justice may, in some respects, be thought to fulfil the object of jealousy, but justice is a gross and inactive feeling in comparison with jealousy. The slights and wanderings which inflict anguish unspeakable on the heart cannot be put into a balance and have the extent of their criminality noted by weight. How, then, can we imagine that justice is the only attribute with which those are concerned whose duty it is to love God with all their heart, and who are directed to worship Him in spirit and in truth, if they would worship Him acceptably at all? Under faith in this attribute of God it is not merely actual sin that we are told to deprecate in ourselves, or in others, but it is the love of other things than God. Have we gone, for instance, to seek pleasure in the company of His enemies? Have we sought our bread in ways which are not His? Have we looked for comfort and peace and enjoyment in other objects than in His favour? Have we been betrayed into forgetfulness of His love in the hour of trial? Have we felt coldly in His service? Whatever our own opinions may have been on such subjects, and whatever may be the system of the world, we cannot deny, and we cannot doubt, that these, and all such wanderings of the heart, must be provocations to a jealous God. It is perhaps from considering in this manner the attribute of jealousy in God that we are best able to appreciate the danger of what is commonly called the world. The world sees the justice of God, and the world fears it, and therefore it is cautious of advising anything which may seem to provoke it. But if the words of our text be true—“If the Lord our God be a consuming fire, even a jealous God,” what are the terrors of His justice compared with those of His jealousy? Compared with jealousy, justice seems a cold, deliberating principle. It comes, but its very name implies that it comes slowly and maturely. It comes, but it may be pleaded with; it may be reasoned against; it may be retarded or mollified by our reasonings. But jealousy is like fire. It comes to act, to consume; and little has the world gained for its votaries by teaching them to try not to offend the justice of God, while it encourages them daily to provoke His jealousy. For, lastly, let us remark on this subject the violence of those feelings which jealousy brings into action. Do we not see that among ourselves it bursts at once the tenderest ties of which the heart of man is conscious? Founded on justice as its principle, but quickened by resentment in its action, it seems the most tremendous quality which we are capable of provoking against ourselves; and indeed, as it is peculiarly directed against that which is thought to be of all sins the most offensive—the sin of ingratitude—and of ingratitude, not for favours, but for love—it may well excite terror in those against whom it may be directed from our Maker. Let us close this subject with considering the degree in which we ourselves may be in danger of experiencing its exercise. If jealousy, which arises from love and proceeds only from love, is to be in proportion to that love which it proceeds from, what jealousy can be compared to that with which God is jealous now towards His people? Ver. 24.—A consuming fire. When God spoke to Israel at Sinai, his glory appeared “like devouring (consuming) fire on the top of the mount” (Exod. 24:17); and in allusion to this Moses here calls God “a consuming fire.” He is so to all his enemies, and to all who disobey him; by severe inflictions he will punish, and, if they persist in their hostility and rebellion, will ultimately destroy them (comp. ch. 9:3; Isa. 10:16–18; Amos 5:6; Zeph. 1:18; Heb. 12:29). A jealous God; LXX., Θεὸς ζηλωτής· God has a burning zeal for his own glory; he guards it with jealous care; and he will not spare those who do him dishonour, especially those who are guilty of idolatry, whereby they “change the truth of God into a lie” (Rom. 1:25; cf. Exod. 20:5; ch. 6:14, 15; 32:16, etc.; Ps. 78:58, etc.; Nah. 1:2). He is jealous also over his people, because he loves them, and will not endure any rival in their affection and devotion.^[8]

4:24 / In the course of this central section of the sermon, Moses affirms two climactic points, two apparently contradictory definitive statements about Yahweh. This is the first. The second is in verse 31. Sinai itself had demonstrated the nature of Yahweh as a consuming fire (cf. Exod. 24:17), but the point was not merely a matter of physical fear in the presence of spectacular cosmic pyrotechnics. The fire of Yahweh as a jealous God is the fire of an exclusive commitment to this people that demands an exclusive commitment in return. It is, in short, the fire of redeeming love that had brought them out of the fires of bondage (v. 20) and would therefore tolerate no rival. The apparent contradiction between verse 24 and verse 31 is in reality a vital consistency. For mercy functions precisely in the context of judgment. It was the fire of God’s jealousy that protected the strength of God’s mercy and covenant faithfulness to this people. In rebellion and idolatry they would find the God of verse 24. In return and obedience they would find the God of verse 31. This is the same unchanged God, responding to a tragically changeable people.^[9]

24 The Lord is described as a consuming fire and as a jealous God. The language is stern, but it is closely related to the theme of the love of God in Deuteronomy. The covenant relationship was one of love, initiated in the covenant of God and demanding a response of love from the Israelites (see 6:5). To construct images would be to indicate that the first love of the Israelites had been forgotten, and to this the response of the Lord would be jealousy. Jealousy, however, does not represent a change in God, but is, as it were, the reverse of the coin of love; it was the people who were prone to change and forgetfulness, and from outside the relationship of love, God was indeed awesome like a consuming fire.^[10]

Speaking the Truth in Love – Bible Apologetics – A DAILY DEVOTIONAL

When sharing the message of the gospel the truth is that many people are going to be offended by your presentation. While we should never be offensive it is often not possible to not offend most people when sharing the truth of the gospel. And the plain truth is that the gospel is offensive. As Christians our job is always to speak the truth in love – even if we have to offend people. 

I don’t know about you but as ambassadors for Christ we need to be stalwart defenders of the truth of Jesus and the Scriptures. And if the truth hurts someone’s feelings then so be it for the stakes are just too high to play around with the truth! Someone once said it well: “Never worry about who will be offended if you speak the truth. Worry about who will be misled, deceived and destroyed if you don’t.”1

A good rule of thumb to keep in mind when talking about Jesus is this: The gospel is offensive, but you shouldn’t be. We should never be afraid to talk about Jesus but we need wisdom on how to present Christ to the unsaved. And we need to be prepared to receive the negative feedback that we may get from some who get very offended when we share the part about telling them that they are sinners in need of a Savior. No one wants to be told that they are sinners but this is an essential part of the gospel message and if we leave this part out we do a great disservice to those we are sharing with. Just telling people that God loves them is only part of the gospel message (the non-offensive part). When we add that they are sinners heading to hell if they don’t come to Jesus many will take offense at this.

I know that I have found in my own sharing of the gospel message that one of the reasons I sometimes shy away from sharing is not so much that I am scared about hurting their feelings but that I am scared that they may get offended and hurt my feelings. This is a selfish reason for not telling someone about Jesus and I need to pray for more boldness in this area. 

Another point about the gospel that can get us attacked as being narrow minded, bigoted, and downright offensive is telling people about the exclusivity of Christ. Letting people know that the Bible is a book of absolute truths and that Jesus is the only way to God, will often prove extremely offensive to many. One thought I have that may help you, as well as myself, in overcoming the fear of having our feelings hurt when telling people about Jesus is to realize that their lifestyle is actually a great affront against our holy God. And the more we reverence God for who He is, this should make us want to share the gospel even more to prevent so many people from mocking Jesus. I like what Pastor John MacArthur said about this issue: “If the truth offends, then let it offend. People have been living their whole lives in offense to God; let them be offended for a while.”2

Sadly, many of the people we share the gospel with will go on living in sin and mocking Jesus. But the good news is that some will be convicted of sin and come to Christ. Always remember that our job is to just live a godly life, share the gospel when the opportunity arises, and be faithful to the calling that God has given us. And, oh yes, leave the results in the Lord’s hands.

Walk Without Stumbling

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved. (Psalm 121:3)

If the Lord will not suffer it, neither men nor devils can do it. How greatly would they rejoice if they could give us a disgraceful fall, drive us from our position, and bury us out of memory! They could do this to their heart’s content were it not for one hindrance, and only one: the Lord will not suffer it; and if He does not suffer it, we shall not suffer it.

The way of life is like traveling among the Alps. Along the mountain path one is constantly exposed to the slipping of the foot. Where the way is high the head is apt to swim, and then the feet soon slide; there are spots which are smooth as glass and others that are rough with loose stones, and in either of these a fall is hard to avoid. He who throughout life is enabled to keep himself upright and to walk without stumbling has the best of reasons for gratitude. What with pitfalls and snares, weak knees, weary feet, and subtle enemies, no child of God would stand fast for an hour were it not for the faithful love which will not suffer his foot to be moved.

Amidst a thousand snares I stand

Upheld and guarded by thy hand;

That hand unseen shall hold me still,

And lead me to thy holy hill.

Five Bible Verses to Ease Your Anxiety – Theology & Life

Everyone struggles with anxiety to some extent, some more than others. But this truth remains: it’s a universal experience. No one is immune from anxiety, as it’s a natural reaction to life’s events. However, from the outset it’s important to differentiate between regular anxiety and clinical anxiety. 

Clinical anxiety is something that happens to us, and is something we don’t necessarilycontrol, that is, it’s not inherently sinful. Regular anxiety is what’s spoken of in passages like Matthew 6:27 and elsewhere like Philippians 4:6-7. I made the argument in a previous post that this anxiety is, in most cases, sinful. 

Regular anxiety—which I’ll simply call ‘anxiety’ from now on—is the subject here. We all wake up and are surrounded by things, events, people etc. that will induce anxiety in our hearts. Whether we’re anxious about weather, sickness, persecution, difficult conversations, etc., anxiety is a response that can, many times, reveal sin in our hearts. And, to be precise, it’s not necessarily the emotion itself that is sinful, but what it reveals—a lack of trust in God and His plan. Let’s look at five passages that can ease our anxiety when it flares up. 

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

The biblical reality that nothing—even ourselves—can separate us from God’s love should be a constant antidote to our anxiety. When our minds run amok with anxiety and we can’t seem to calm our hearts, we look to the immutable love of God for us in Christ. The power and of His love quenches the power of our anxiety. 

Therefore I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing? … Can any of you add one moment to his life span by worrying?”

Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭25‬, 27

As I’ve gotten older my anxiety has increased. Sometimes I find myself dwelling on situations in the near future to the point where I’m analyzing every possible situation. It doesn’t necessarily make me a nervous wreck, but I become obsessive. The Lord tells me, however, to not worry or be anxious about what tomorrow brings. I should listen to Him, as we all should. The God of our today is the the God of our tomorrow—and He is still sovereign over all. Give your worries and anxieties to the Lord and know He’s governing all your days.

Our moments of anxiety, our times of worry should dramatically decrease when we ponder our Savior who has conquered the world. How can we be anxious messes when we remember the One who has us in the palm of His hands is reigning over all things? 

Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:5-7

This is one of the most popular passages in the Bible—and for good reason! In a world full of people that are busting at the seams with anxiety, worry, and stress, this passage is a balm to our hearts. But have we ever considered why we’re not to “worry about anything”? It’s because “the Lord is at hand” (v. 5). 

Don’t worry, God is near.

Stop being anxious, the Lord is imminent. 

Give your cares to Jesus, for He is with you.

When we dwell on the reality of God being present and near to us, anxiety melts away as we’re comforted by the “peace which surpasses all understanding.”

“When I am filled with cares, your comfort brings me joy.”

Psalm 94:19

When anxiety fills our heart, when the storm of stress comes, when the waves of worry crush our souls, we can rest in the comfort of God’s loving hold on us. What’s the most comfortable thing in this world? Laying your head on a cool pillow after a long day? Wrapping yourself in a warm blanket on a cold, winter night? Sitting in front of a campfire?

No. The most comfortable thing we can experience is to know the loving embrace of the Father through Jesus Christ. Christian, I promise you can navigate your anxiety because you’re in the loving arms of your Savior. The Lord commands you—all of us—not to be anxious. It’s very easy for us to sin and reveal our lack of trust. But it’s also an invitation. He’s got your back, so stop fretting.

Winging It: News Weakly – 9/30/23

Tempus Fugit

I don’t know why it’s news. Congress hasn’t passed a budget on time in 27 years, so I can’t imagine why we’d expect it this year. But, once again, we’re all gonna die because Congress hasn’t passed a budget for this year. Go figure. (You know, if I failed to do my job that consistently, I would have been fired.)

Hopeless
A church in Texas, the Cathedral of Hope, held a “Drag Sunday” service to bless members of the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,” a group of drag queens who specifically make fun of Christ and the church for the cause of the LGBT crowd. I’m pretty sure that blessing the blatant mockery of Christianity and Christ is a sure way to abandon all hope for those who enter (1 John 2:19).

Thinking Far Outside the Box
Apparently, a new trend in public schools is to go to a 4-day week. Well, it will decrease missed days (by 1 day a week) and discipline referrals (by 1 day a week). It will cost schools less, and, hey, aren’t they already doing a bang-up job? Oh, you working parents that are stuck with finding coverage for your kids on that day … too bad for you. Haven’t we already determined that parents are not a factor in childrens’ education?

Considering the Track Record …
The EU, well known for its liberty and protections of freedoms (oh, wait … hang on), is criticizing Elon Musk’s X (formerly Twitter) because they just allow way too much free speech. This is something that the EU just won’t allow. While our modern cultures demand that there is no such thing as absolute truth, they are quite sure that the things they deem as “disinformation” or “misinformation” are certainly that … primarily because they say so. “You can know what is or isn’t misinformation because we tell you what it is, and you will align with it or desist.” So they are the source of absolute truth and we need to comply.

Priorities
Finally! Some work in the Senate produced bipartisan agreement on a pressing issue. They’ve agreed to change the dress code. Because, as we all know, the Senate is a symbol of freedom and how you dress there makes a difference to what you can accomplish. Maybe now they can start to get lesser things done … like, oh, I don’t know, government funding? Oh, hang on, they also approved Hispanic Restaurant Week! Yippee!! (The whole dress code fiasco is a fine example of the “end of appropriate” when they have to pass rules on appropriate dress and senators mock it.)

The longest running female senator from California, Diane Feinstein, has died at the age of 90. I’ll let you discuss among yourselves what to think of that.

More Wisdom (read “satire”) from the Bee
With all the political scandals of late, the Bee says that the nation is torn between a party that openly works at rending the fabric of our society over against a party that claims to support family values while secretly discarding them. Decisions, decisions. In fact, it has been suggested that the favorite choice of viewers in the GOP debates has been the “mute button.” And, as it turns out, those stores that were looted (actual story) by a group of people in Philadelphia were actually just looted by poor people looking for bread to feed their kids. Give ’em a break, right?

Warning : Reality Is Escaping Out The Back Door

I wrote this article for my PatrickWood.Substack.com subscribers recently. After more reflection, this needs to be released to the world as a stark warning: The total collapse of reality may be at hand. We have already witnessed mass formation during the Great Panic of 2020, where large swaths of the world seemingly lost touch with reality. That was just a foretaste of what is about to come.

There’s a big word that you can add to your vocabulary: Simulacrum. It is a hard word to wrap your head around, but one you are not too likely to forget. Indeed, you should not forget it!

Collins defines it as: “1) an image; likeness; 2) a vague representation; semblance; 3) a mere pretense; sham.”

Cambridge Dictionary says: “something that looks like or represents something else”.

Purdue University put it this way: “Something that replaces reality with its representation.”

Jean Baudrillard wrote about this in a 1981 paper called “The Precession of Simulacra”, where he digs deeper, making a distinction between a simulation and a simulacrum.

Whereas representation attempts to absorb simulation by interpreting it as a false representation, simulation envelops the whole edifice of representation itself as a simulacrum. Such would be the successive phases of the image:

it is the reflection of a profound reality;

it masks and denatures a profound reality;

it masks the absence of a profound reality;

it has no relation to any reality whatsoever;

it is its own pure simulacrum.

So, the switch for reality is anti-reality: “The simulacrum is never what hides the truth – it is truth that hides the fact that there is none.”

This whole process does not happen in a vacuum because it involves human agency. Reality exists but human perception distorts it.

Just for review, reality slips into distortion, then into simulation, then finds its resting place in a state of simulacrum. Reality is subsumed by the simulacrum.

An example of simulacrum in the making

It is estimated that 90 percent of all online content will be generated by AI by 2025. This means news, social media posts, chats, pictures, videos, podcasts, websites, etc. A deluge of fake social media accounts will be run by AI. In short, everything.

Executive Orders are NOT Laws

The U.S. government formed by the U.S. Constitution is a Republic, not a dictatorship. It’s not a pure “democracy” either, nor should it ever be.

Executive Orders are limited to directives to Executive Branch employees only, to properly execute the laws passed by Congress, and only so long as the order is itself lawful and constitutional. Executive Branch Orders apply to no one else, period. Unless we accept that we now live in a dictatorship…of course.

For the record, court opinions are NOT laws either, as only Congress is granted the authority to make laws under the Constitution. No other branch has any lawmaking authority whatsoever. In addition, even Congress is limited in authority to create laws which are “in furtherance thereof.”

So, literally everything government has done since 1803 that is “repugnant to the Constitution,” to include the Bill of Rights, is “null and void.” This includes Executive Orders falsely applied to people beyond Executive Branch employees, and all attempts to “create law” from the Judicial Branch, as well as any laws passed by Congress which are at odds with the Constitution.

Because most Americans have not paid attention to what their government has been up to for more than a hundred years, more than 80% of what the federal government does today is “repugnant to the Constitution” and enjoys no force of law behind it at all.

Study this legal reality for yourself and remember it every time your government tries to dictate policy to you through unlawful and unconstitutional acts. Rand Paul Issues Ultimatum: Withdraw Ukraine Billions Or Face Government Shutdown

Senator Rand Paul declared that he will hold up a spending bill in the Senate and push toward a government shutdown unless $6 billion in aid to Ukraine is removed from the legislation.

Paul took to Twitter noting that he will only allow a vote on the spending stopgap before the Sept. 30 deadline for funding government if Senate leaders get rid of the massive amount of money earmarked for the war.

Last week, Paul slammed the Ukrainian leadership as “corrupt” and blasting the visiting President Zelensky as “begging for more money.”

CNN Poll Backfires as Majority Blame Joe Biden and Congressional Democrats for Government Shutdown

A recent CNN poll has revealed that the majority of Americans place the blame for the current government shutdown on Joe Biden and Congressional Democrats. This marks a significant departure from previous shutdowns, where the public largely blamed Republicans.

Is America waking up?

According to the CNN poll, when asked who they would mainly blame for a government shutdown, 39% of respondents pointed the finger at Joe Biden or the Democrats in Congress. In contrast, only 33% blamed the GOP in Congress, and 22% said both parties were equally responsible.

CNN reporter commented, “I think this one was a bit of a surprise to me given, I think, what the conventional wisdom is.”

The poll results are particularly noteworthy because they break from historical trends. In past government shutdowns poll by far-left media, such as those in 1995-96, 2013, and 2018-19, the public predominantly blamed Republicans, per CNN.

“This may be a shutdown that is quite different than that in terms of the public blame because at least at this point, more Americans say they’ll blame Biden and or the Democrats in Congress,” according to the reporter.

The public’s tendency to blame Republicans for past government shutdowns has been a consistent pattern. Whether it was the shutdowns in 1995-96 under President Bill Clinton, the 2013 shutdown under President Barack Obama, or the 2018-19 shutdown under President Donald Trump, Republicans have historically been held responsible.

According to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), “This shutdown is about Ukraine’s border versus America’s border and Joe Biden and his family took millions selling political favors to crooks in Ukraine! Wake up!”
