There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "…truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity–it is simply true and that is the end of it" – Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
Philip Schaff (1819 – 1893) was a Swiss-born Protestant theologian and historian who spent most of his adult life living and teaching in America. Schaff was known as a churchman, scholar, and an author and editor. He taught church history at Union Theological Seminary in New York City for many years and wrote the classic eight-volume work The History of the Christian Church, which covers the entire span of church history. Below are 15 of his most famous quotes that I pray bless you as you continue on your walk with the Lord.1
“To give up faith in Christ is to give up faith in humanity; to believe in Christ is to believe in the redemption and final glorification of men; and this faith is the best inspiration to a holy and useful life for the good of our race of the glory of God.”
“Jesus of Nazareth, without money and arms, conquered more millions than Alexander the Great, Caesar, Mohammed, and Napoleon; without science and learning, he shed more light on things human and divine than all philosophers and scholars combined; without the eloquence of school, he spoke such words of life as were never spoken before or since, and produced effects which lie beyond the reach of orator or poet; without writing a single line, he set more pens in motion, and furnished themes for more sermons, orations, discussions, learned volumes, works of art, and songs of praise than the whole army of great men of ancient and modern times.”
“Without His Resurrection the death of Christ would be of no avail, and His grave would be the grave of all our hopes. A gospel of a dead Savior would be a miserable failure and delusion. The Resurrection is the victory of righteousness and life over sin an death.”
“One man with truth on his side is stronger than a majority in error, and will conquer in the end.”
“I myself have read the writings and teachings of the heretics, polluting my soul for a while with their abominable notions, though deriving this benefit: I was able to refute them for myself and loathe them even more.”
“No one does more harm in the Church than he who has the title or rank of holiness and acts perversely.”
“We find everywhere in this world the traces of a revealed God and of a hidden God; revealed enough to strengthen our faith, concealed enough to try our faith.”
“Read often, learn all that you can. Let sleep overcome you, the roll still in your hands; when your head falls, let it be on the sacred page.”
“To will and to run are mine, but they will cease to be mine unless God brings me His continual aid.”
“If we wish to be good, we must first believe that we are bad.”
“He who claims to believe in Christ must rejoice in all Christ’s judgments.”
“As long as you are at home make your cell your paradise, gather there the varied fruits of scripture, let this be your favourite companion, and take its precepts to your heart.”
“To change one’s disposition is a greater achievement than to change one’s dress. It is harder for us to part with arrogance than with gold and gems.”
“Nothing is so displeasing to God as an impenitent heart. Impenitence is the one sin for which there is no forgiveness.”
“The Word was made flesh that we might pass from the flesh into the Word.”
A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench. (Isaiah 42:3)
Then I may reckon upon tender treatment from my Lord. Indeed, I feel myself to be at best as weak, as pliant, as worthless as a reed. Someone said, “I don’t care a rush for you”; and the speech, though unkind, was not untrue. Alas! I am worse than a reed when it grows by the river, for that at least can hold up its head. I am bruised—sorely, sadly bruised. There is no music in me now; there is a rift which lets out all the melody. Ah, me! Yet Jesus will not break me; and if He will not, then I mind little what others try to do. O sweet and compassionate Lord, I nestle down beneath Thy protection and forget my bruises!
Truly I am also fit to be likened to “the smoking flax,” whose light is gone, and only its smoke remains. I fear I am rather a nuisance than a benefit. My fears tell me that the devil has blown out my light and left me an obnoxious smoke, and that my Lord will soon put an extinguisher upon one. Yet I perceive that though there were snuffers under the law, there were no extinguishers, and Jesus will not quench me; therefore, I am hopeful. Lord, kindle me anew and cause me to shine forth to Thy glory and to the extolling of Thy tenderness.
It’s well beyond the finite capacity of our minds to comprehend the perfection of heaven. The best we can do is attempt to understand it in terms of this life. All that’s good and God honoring here will be perfected in heaven; everything else will pass away.
Do you beat yourself up with “I should have!” or do you try to hide it?
Some people’s pride prevents them from acknowledging failure. Take Peter, for instance.
On that last supper Jesus had with His disciples he told them that they would all forsake him. “Not me!” Peter exclaimed boldly, “I am ready to die for you.”
“Yes, you also will deny me,” Jesus responded. “But when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen and build up your brothers” Luke 22:32 (LT)
Jesus confronted Peter with his weakness but not in a condemning way. “You will fail me like the rest, Peter, but remember that’s not the end of our relationship.” Then he showed Peter the way back from failure: own up to it, repent of it, and come back to Me.”
That is good news for us too.
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9)
Not only does He cleanse us, but He redeems our failures. We learn dependency upon God and realize “it’s not me but Christ in me” that makes me strong. Because of his failure, Peter became a humble servant of God who could strengthen other weak believers.
Ruth Bell Graham writes,
“When thoughts of failures push their way into my consciousness, I let His total forgiveness dissolve my regrets and go on to praise Him who accepts us just as we are and lovingly works to make us more than we were. “God doesn’t expect us to be finished products now. We are works in progress.”
We can leave our failures with God. He does not condemn us. He will use them for good
Father, thank you that there is hope after failure. You forgive me and use my failures for good.
Storm devastates Washington as Biden admin. plans for Israel to concede land One of the worst storms in decades ripped through Washington DC, over the weekend, leaving devastation in its path. The storm comes as the Biden administration announced negotiations with Saudi Arabia that would require Israel to make massive concessions in land to the Palestinians. While the two seem unconnected, students of history know that milestones in the “land for peace” process have always been accompanied by natural disasters.

Power Companies Could Remotely Switch Off EV Chargers To Reduce Grid Stress The proposal is part of the Australian state’s Queensland Electricity Connection Manual (QECM), which provides a framework for the grid’s operation. Section 8 of the QECM proposes that EV charging equipment may be limited or switched off by operators Ergon Energy and Energex (distributed network service providers or DNSPs) if it has an output of more than 20 amps—a standard domestic single-phase EV charger uses 32 amps. “EV take-up could increase peak demand by as much as 60 percent right across the National Electricity Market,”
Russia’s Medvedev: We’d have to use a nuclear weapon if Ukrainian offensive was a success Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who has sometimes raised the spectre of a nuclear conflict over Ukraine, said on Sunday that Moscow would have to use a nuclear weapon if Kyiv’s ongoing counter-offensive was a success. Medvedev, who is deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, a body chaired by President Vladimir Putin, said in a message on his official social media accounts that Russia would be forced to fall back on its own nuclear doctrine in such a scenario.
Transhumanism: Globalists Promise To ‘Improve’ On God’s Design Of Man It sounds like bad science fiction, but it is rapidly becoming reality. Some of the most powerful people on the planet think they are going to “upgrade” human beings — or at least some human beings — through genetic engineering and technological schemes such as “brain implants.” Yes, really. In fact, they are publicly touting alleged benefits, supposedly including eternal life, and even evolving into “gods.” If that all sounds crazy or even diabolical — good, it should, because it is.

The Oakland chapter chief wrote a blistering letter about the deteriorating safety of the city and black neighborhoods.
Nate Jackson
For decades, crime in America had been declining. Our cities became safer as murder, theft, and all manner of other crimes happened less frequently — all while, we might add, private gun ownership and concealed carry permits skyrocketed. That wasn’t coincidence.
Then George Floyd died under the knee of white Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin and all hell broke loose. The summer of rage saw many American cities literally lit on fire by angry and violent mobs bent on demanding justice or something. Murder drastically increased, especially black-on-black in our inner cities, and black neighborhoods were generally hit hardest by the violence and mayhem.
Chauvin was convicted of murder less than a year later, but it almost didn’t matter to the mob.
The Left launched an insane new “social justice” cry: Defund the police. Months later, after launching a record surge in crime, Democrats could no longer ignore the destruction wrought by anti-police policies and Black Lives Matter mobs, so they pretended they never had anything to do with defunding the police, even blaming Republicans for it.
Now we get this from Newsweek:
Authorities in Oakland, California, are being urged to “declare a state of emergency” by the local branch of a leading civil rights group, in response to a surge in crime that “overwhelming impacts minority communities.”
The call was made by the Oakland branch of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) in a statement that hit out at “failed leadership, including the movement to defund the police” and what they claimed was the local District Attorney’s failure to “prosecute people who murder and commit life threatening serious crimes.” Speaking to Newsweek Cynthia Adams, president of the Oakland NAACP, said: “We need the police!”
We quote that to highlight the language used by both the NAACP and the Leftmedia.
First, let’s marvel at the semantics. Newsweek tells us what NAACP stands for — “the Advancement of Colored People.” Just a couple of weeks ago, however, a Republican in Congress was denounced as a racist for using the term “colored people” instead of the Left’s new and approved formulation “people of color.”
You can’t put the adjective BEFORE the noun, you bigot! It has to go AFTER the noun!
We admit to finding that amusing.
But far more important than such word games is the acknowledgement from NAACP leaders that “We need the police!” We welcome them to the side of Rule of Law.
“Oakland residents are sick and tired of our intolerable public safety crisis that overwhelmingly impacts minority communities,” the Oakland NAACP added. “Murders, shootings, violent armed robberies, home invasions, car break-ins, sideshows, and highway shootouts have become a pervasive fixture of life in Oakland. We call on all elected leaders to unite and declare a state of emergency and bring together massive resources to address our public safety crisis.”
Despite the fact that the NAACP’s statement is a lengthy denunciation of crime and the policies that led to its increase, it strangely never mentions the word “Democrat.”
Who runs California, again? Oh, that’s right — it’s a one-party state ruled up and down the line by Democrats. That’s doubly so in Oakland. Like gun ownership and reduced crime, Democrat leadership and increased crime also isn’t a coincidence. Yet the NAACP has been at the forefront of the Democrat strategy for decades.
Call us crazy, but that doesn’t seem like a good way to achieve the “Advancement of Colored People.”
California Democrats have made it declared policy that policing crimes like shoplifting just isn’t worth their time. The predictable result is not only more shoplifting but a rise in other related crimes as lawlessness becomes a way of life for more people. Cops are leaving police departments and new recruits are harder to come by. Law-abiding conservatives have fled California in droves, leaving the state to the leftists who destroyed it.
Newsweek is ever the propaganda organ for the Democrat Party, however, so the magazine couched the NAACP’s statement with the patronizing phrase “what they claimed.” These are not random claims but provable facts. Thanks to an army of George Soros-backed district attorneys dedicated to not prosecuting crimes in the name of “social justice,” cities like Oakland and neighboring San Francisco have become cesspools of humanity where businesses have no choice but to leave.
The NAACP is right to be outraged by this and to demand accountability from city leaders. The statement says numerous right things. Then again, the national NAACP just issued a “formal travel advisory for the state of Florida.” Not California. Florida. Why? Because Governor Ron DeSantis is supposedly making “aggressive attempts to erase Black history and to restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in Florida schools.” Good grief, what a bunch of lies.
Until inner-city residents including blacks are willing to sever their blind allegiance to the Democrat Party and work to restore mom-and-dad-headed families as the building block of society, and until the national NAACP gives up mindless attacks on Republicans, the Oakland NAACP can send all the outraged letters it wants and nothing will change.
It wasn’t until last week, when Hunter’s corrupt, sweetheart plea deal blew up, that the Bidens were forced to admit the truth.
Gary Bauer
Amidst all the drama in a Delaware courtroom last week, there was a revealing moment when Hunter Biden admitted that he was paid a significant amount of money from a Chinese company.
This is important because Joe Biden and his defenders have adamantly denied that Hunter or anyone in the Biden family got money from communist China.
In fact, there was a very dramatic moment during the 2020 presidential debate when Joe Biden angrily denounced the idea that Hunter made money in communist China.
Well, that was a lie and Hunter just admitted it in court.
Remember, Hunter’s infamous laptop was the source of that information, but we weren’t allowed to talk about that.
Immediately after denouncing Trump for truthfully saying that Hunter made money in communist China, Joe Biden also used the fake letter from Deep State operatives that his campaign orchestrated to falsely label the laptop as “Russian disinformation.”
So, let’s recap: Elements of our own government — not Russia’s — knew the laptop was real and they allowed Biden to get away with lying in order to influence the outcome of the election. And it wasn’t until last week, when Hunter’s corrupt, sweetheart plea deal blew up, that the Bidens were forced to admit the truth.
Now, will any Democrats, Deep State operatives who signed that fake letter, or their media allies also admit the truth — that Joe Biden lied to the American people and that the 2020 election was manipulated by government censorship?
By the way, more ludicrous charges were filed Thursday against Trump by Biden’s special hitman, I mean special prosecutor, in a blatant attempt to get Hunter Biden off the front pages. More charges may be coming soon from another left-wing prosecutor in Georgia.
Every time such charges are filed it tells you what the left’s intent is and why it will be so hard to bring the country together: They want Trump to die in prison. Repeat that line again: They want Trump to die in prison. And if the left gets away with prosecuting Trump, they will persecute all of us.
Hunter associate to testify, Biden FINALLY acknowledges seventh grandchild, Christian student wins against censors, and more.
Thomas Gallatin & Jordan Candler
Cross-Examination
Hunter associate to testify: Hunter Biden’s longtime friend and business associate Devon Archer will finally be testifying before the House Oversight Committee today after he was subpoenaed last month by Committee Chair James Comer. Archer’s testimony will reportedly expose Joe Biden’s claim that he was “never in business with his son” as a lie. The very elder Biden, according to Archer, was present both in person and over the phone when Hunter introduced him to prospective foreign business partners. Archer was on the board of the Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma at the same time Hunter was. Oh, and by the way, Biden’s DOJ over the weekend requested that a judge set a date for Archer to report to prison. Maybe Hunter can be his cellmate.
Biden FINALLY acknowledges seventh grandchild: On Friday, after years of denying reality, Joe Biden finally acknowledged that he does indeed have a seventh grandchild. In a short statement, Biden said that he and Jill “only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.” He then sought to revise recent history by adding, “Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, [Lunden Alexis Roberts], are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward.” By “working together,” Biden means Roberts had to drag Hunter into court for a paternity test to force him to acknowledge his daughter. “This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter,” Biden said. Yet the truth is this was PR and damage control, which could have been avoided years ago if the deadbeat granddad had simply acknowledged his granddaughter Navy in the first place.
Carbon and climate: We’re always told that manmade carbon emissions cause climate change. And the only way to combat climate change is to curb and cut our carbon emissions by using the heavy hand of government. The “science is settled.” So, if excess carbon is the “problem,” then wouldn’t it make sense to invest in new technology that captures and removes “excess” carbon from the atmosphere? Well, according to a new study conducted by Korean scientists, the removal of large amounts of carbon from the atmosphere would not have any immediate desired effect for reducing global temperatures, at least for upwards of 220 years. “It’s related to ocean circulation,” says lead study author Seo-Yeon Kim. “The response of the ocean is always slower than the removal of the carbon dioxide, and how fast the ocean responds then determines the recovery of the Hadley Cell.” So, reasoning from this study’s findings, the notion that dramatically cutting carbon emissions now will have any measurable impact on slowing or reversing the current trajectory of climate change is flawed.
Democrat wealth tax: Obnoxiously dubbed the Oppose Limitless Inequality Growth and Reverse Community Harms (OLIGARCH) Act, socialist Democrat lawmakers want to impose a wealth tax of 2% up to 8% on Americans making 1,000 to one million times the median household income. One of the bill’s authors, Representative Barbara Lee (D-CA), says, “The OLIGARCH Act is the solution we need to close the exorbitant wealth gap in America and create a tax system where everyone pays their fair share.” Really? If a fair tax is the goal, there’s a national sales tax by that name. Or we could have a flat tax where everyone pays an equal percentage of their income no matter how much or how little they may earn. Get government out of attempting to artificially rig the tax system ostensibly in favor of lower-income Americans. History shows that when government comes up with new “wealth” tax programs, everyone ends up paying, and it’s never fair.
Good news: Christian student wins against censors: In a win for free speech, Maggie DeJong, a Christian art student who attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), has prevailed in a lawsuit she brought against the school for violating her right to free speech. SIUE agreed to an $80,000 settlement, which also includes having three of the school’s professors undergo mandatory free speech training. DeJong, who was represented by the Alliance Defending Freedom, was subjected by the school to “no-contact orders” that prevented her from communicating with three students who took offense at her conservative political and religious views. Furthermore, the school requested that her peers report her for “harmful rhetoric” and denied DeJong the opportunity to defend herself. “Public universities can’t punish students for expressing their political and religious viewpoints,” explained Mathew Hoffman, her ADF legal counsel. “Maggie, like every other student, is protected under the First Amendment to respectfully share her personal beliefs, and university officials were wrong to issue gag orders and silence her speech.”
Social media hate: That social media is largely responsible for the growing political and cultural divide in America today is a widely accepted view. However, four recently released studies are calling that view into question. Using Facebook and Instagram, researchers were given freedom to change the algorithmic feed of tens of thousands of users, giving them a feed that was not curated based upon their likes. The researchers found that during the four months over which the study was conducted, there was no discernible impact on users’ political polarization. The researchers concluded, “These findings challenge popular narratives blaming social media echo chambers for the problems of contemporary American democracy.”

Infertility is a difficult journey to walk through as a couple. For families wanting to have children and not able to conceive, there are many choices they have to face. Do they adopt? Undergo IVF? Or perhaps surrogacy?
Of these choices, adoption has the fewest ethical dilemmas attached to it. Every child should be with his or her mother and father, but in this broken world, that is not always possible. Adoption is a beautiful solution to a tragic brokenness.
IVF, or in vitro fertilization, is the process of taking an egg and sperm, fertilizing the egg, and then implanting it back in the mother. The biggest problem with that is doctors often fertilize multiple eggs (more than the family wants), and those extraneous babies are then put on ice, left in limbo. It’s as if their lives weren’t worth as much as the other chosen babies. That is wrong.
Surrogacy takes it a step further. Surrogacy takes an egg from one person and a sperm from another person, fertilizes it, then implants that egg in yet another person (or surrogate). The surrogate then carries that baby for nine months, gives birth, and then that baby is given to the people who hired the surrogate.
Surrogacy has all the same bad caveats as IVF — generally, more children are created than are “needed” for implantation. Surrogacy gets more sketchy from here. It divorces the act of carrying a child from conception to birth from the mother. A child in the womb only knows that woman who has carried him, talked to him, sang to him, laughed, and done life for those nine months. Surrogacy treats a mother’s womb like rented space, and then — by design from conception — takes a child from his home, his mother, and puts him in the hands of others. The baby becomes a commodity.
Sadly, surrogacy is generally the option selected by those who don’t really care much about the baby as an individual human soul; they just want to have a baby. There is very little background checking done on people who opt for surrogacy. In one story, a surrogate was carrying twins and found out the client was a single man in his 40s who had never been married and was still living with his parents. The client was not the sort of person who could pass the standards set up for adoption. But there was nothing the surrogate could do.
There are also very few to no rights given to the surrogate. Christian podcaster Allie Beth Stuckey interviewed a surrogate who shared another horror story. Brittaney Pearson was going through her second surrogacy journey for two men, presumably gay. The baby was viable and growing and everything was going smoothly until she received a cancer diagnosis 24 weeks into her pregnancy. The cancer was aggressive and she needed to start treatments as soon as possible. She could have delivered the baby early, and doctors could have done their miraculous work to keep the baby alive. Her clients told her to abort the baby. There was nothing she could do or say. She had no legal rights to intervene with the decision. This child’s life was held cheap because his “dads” weren’t willing to risk having a premature baby who could develop some problems associated with being so premature. That’s not parental love. That is eugenics.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is going to the eugenics bent that surrogacy already has and exacerbating it. With where we are scientifically, AI can pick out designer embryos with the right hair color, eye color, skin color, and gender. The AI program EMA even detects genetic abnormalities, and from there it decides which children are going to live or die.
David Prentice of the pro-life Charlotte Lozier Institute told The Christian Post: “The AI program is a tool used to pick and choose which embryos are higher quality; this means some human beings are looked at as lower quality, perhaps even discarded as lives not worth living. Previous studies have shown that even embryos judged to be ‘low grade,’ when given the chance for life, have been birthed as normal, healthy babies. Society should not divide human beings into quality control silos but rather should value and nurture every human life.”
If you believe that life starts at conception, when sperm meets egg, then IVF and all of its poisonous offshoots should be deeply criticized and censured as immoral. It is not our place to decide who lives and who dies. Clearly, when we grade tiny humanity with high-quality and low-quality monikers, there is too much divorce from the actual humanity of the baby in the petri dish.
Adoption is a great option. IVF is not so great and can treat little fertilized babies as a number and not a human. Surrogacy is worse. It dehumanizes the surrogate, commoditizes the baby, and is rife with abuse. AI is taking that to an even more tainted and evil level: A computer program chooses who is worthy of life.
The desire for a man and wife to have children and start a family is a good one. Infertility is a sad reality for some families. However, modern technology is taking advantage of people struggling with infertility, treating unborn children like commodities, and perhaps granting parenthood to people who shouldn’t be parents.
NBC claims Matt Walsh deceived people to get interviews for his documentary “What Is a Woman?” That’s disingenuous and hypocritical.
Thomas Gallatin
In what amounts to an elitist chastisement for failing to adhere to the inherently hypocritical rule of “Do as we say, not as we do,” NBC News recently published an article “exposing” conservative media pundit Matt Walsh for … daring to engage in investigative journalism. The article alleges that Walsh used underhanded tactics to get three people to agree to interviews in his “anti-trans” documentary “What Is a Woman?”
As conservatives have repeatedly observed, the mainstream media has long had a culturally and politically leftist bias, a bias virtually every outlet has denied. However, NBC exposes its own leftist bias yet again in its article. It has completely and unquestioningly embraced the bogus notion of “transgenderism” as a legitimate and genuine state of human existence despite the complete lack of any credible scientific evidence supporting such a view. Acceptance of that view is the only option to avoid being labeled a “hater.”
And it is this embrace and defense of “transgenderism” that explains the reason NBC’s article attacking Walsh was published in the first place. While played up as a piece of “investigative” journalism, NBC’s real aim is a propaganda hit piece against Walsh, who dared to expose the ridiculous and radical nature of the “transgender” cult with a popular documentary.
After first mocking the documentary’s 2022 debut “to little fanfare,” NBC then expresses alarm: “The movie has since marked more than 187 million views on Twitter alone and been endlessly memed and recycled among conservatives, making it another major flashpoint in a nationwide conflict over transgender rights that’s also playing out in state legislatures, public libraries and courthouses.” The documentary’s popularity is really only relevant if it’s presenting false information or blatantly misrepresenting the views of those interviewed. But that’s not even what NBC objects to.
In attempting to discredit Walsh and his documentary, the article claims that three individuals who were contacted and subsequently agreed to be interviewed did so under false pretenses. They thought the documentary would be promoting “transgenderism,” not be critical of it. Despite their assumptions being wrong, none of those objecting are claiming that Walsh inaccurately presented their comments.
By elevating an objection to Walsh’s supposedly underhanded methodology for getting interviews, the article insinuates the popular documentary has accuracy issues without actually proving any. In a nutshell, NBC found three people who complained that they felt they were deceived into giving interviews where they shared their honest views and opinions, which unintentionally served to expose the radical nature of the “transgender” cult. Two of them now regret doing the interviews solely due to the popularity of “What Is a Woman?”
Or to put it another way, these radical “transgender” cultists are complaining that they were exposed as radical “transgender” cultists.
But were these individuals deceived? While the article highlights an email from a member of Walsh’s team requesting an interview, the topic of the interview was clearly presented, even if Walsh’s objection to “transgenderism” wasn’t communicated.
What NBC fails to note is how the Left has grown increasingly fond of censorship, especially when it comes to the “wrong” views about the sexual revolution. Leftists would far rather silence conservatives than even think about sitting down to talk with them. How else was Walsh supposed to secure these interviews?
Truth be told, NBC’s objection over deceitful methodology rings hollow given NBC’s own history. Back in the early 2000s, NBC’s news magazine program “Dateline NBC” ran a series for three years titled “To Catch a Predator” wherein they set up a sting operation to deceive and catch child predators. Would NBC now object to the deceitful methodology used in that program to expose to the American public the very real problem of pedophiles preying on children?
Come to think of it, Walsh’s documentary serves the same purpose as that “Dateline NBC” program: exposing to the American public the very real problem of radical individuals preying on the most vulnerable and innocent.
What is NBC really objecting to? The answer appears to be exposing the radical nature of the “transgender” cult.
Joe Biden keeps telling this lie, though, and he’s weakening our military in the process.
Douglas Andrews
Last week, Joe Biden commemorated an important American anniversary. And then he defiled it.
“Seventy-five years ago today,” his statement began, “President Truman signed Executive Order 9981, ending the unconscionable racial segregation of our Armed Forces and bringing our nation closer to our founding values. This landmark Order, issued more than a decade before the passage of the Civil Rights Act, directed the military to ensure the ‘equality of treatment and opportunity for all persons in the armed services without regard to race, color, religion or national origin.’”
All well and good. But then he stopped talking about racial equality and started talking about racial discrimination: “It is critical that the full diversity and strength of our force is reflected at every level of the Department of Defense, including at the highest levels of leadership.”
When a leftist starts talking about diversity, what he’s really talking about is quotas and race-based promotion.
To make his point, Biden trotted out one of the Left’s most infernal lies: “America’s greatest strength has always been our diversity, and there is no greater testament to this than the success of our military.”
Always? What the heck are Joe Biden and his speechwriters talking about?
How “diverse” were our fighting forces at Lexington and Concord? At Saratoga? At Yorktown? At New Orleans? At Chancellorsville? At Gettysburg? At Belleau Wood? At Midway? At Guadalcanal? At Normandy? At Bastogne? At Iwo Jima? At Okinawa?
These battles, and dozens of others equally successful though not as well known, represent our nation’s finest hours in combat. And none of these victorious units was “diverse.”
But nor were the Tuskegee Airmen diverse, and their valor and their exploits and their expertise were equally glorious. Nor was the legendary 442nd Infantry Regiment diverse, and yet this World War II unit made up almost entirely of Japanese Americans became the most decorated regiment in American military history.
To say that our military has “always” been great because of its diversity is either a purposeful lie or a lazy, ridiculous, demonstrably ignorant falsehood.
Diversity doesn’t make great fighting forces. Courage and cohesion and indomitable spirit make great fighting forces. And above all, great fighters make great fighting forces — from private to general, from seaman to admiral.
And, no, we’re not calling for a return to our long-ago racially segregated military. Far from it. What we are calling for is a return to a military that promotes its warriors based on merit rather than skin color or any other irrelevancy. Or does someone out there honestly believe Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, given his well-known weaknesses and failures, was the best man for the job?
For that matter, is Admiral Lisa Franchetti the best person Joe Biden could find to be the Navy’s Joint Chiefs chairperson? Or was she selected because she, like Lloyd Austin, checked one of those irrelevant boxes? In other words, was she simply the best woman Joe Biden could find for that crucial role?
As for those irrelevancies, Biden rattled off a lengthy list of them: “Let us continue to break down barriers so that all qualified servicemembers, no matter their race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or religious background, are treated with dignity and respect, can reach their full potential and have their contributions valued,” he said. “That is how we will ensure the United States Armed Forces remains the greatest fighting force in the history of the world.”
Everyone got that? Biden’s statement in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the integration of our Armed Forces couldn’t be simply that. It couldn’t be simply a celebration of black Americans and white Americans fighting together, side by side. No, he had to diminish racial equality by conflating it with gender cultism.
According to the commander-in-chief, then, our only hope of remaining history’s greatest fighting force is to have military-wide stand-downs to talk about white supremacy, to actively recruit soldiers with two moms, to show our Marine Corps “Pride” with rainbow-colored rounds, to name Navy ships after gay activists, and to use taxpayer funds to pay for active-duty warriors to have sex-change operations.
All this wokeness comes at a cost. As defense analyst Frank Gaffney observes: “What especially imperils our national security now is the fact that the subversive legacy of the previous Obama-Biden terms is becoming manifest in the U.S. military, as well. It is, arguably, the last national institution to undergo the Marxist makeover Barack Obama set in motion. But, thanks to officers aggressively promoted during his 1.0 and 2.0 presidencies becoming senior commanders, it is perilously devastating morale, retention, recruitment and readiness.”
That Marxist makeover no doubt has the Russians and the Chinese laughing at us. And if we had to guess, we’d imagine some of our allies are laughing, too, albeit nervously. They’re wondering what the heck happened to the once-proud U.S. military.
Joe Biden happened. And before him, Barack Obama happened. That’s what happened to the U.S. military.
There have been so many poisonous and stupid lies about Florida since 2020, it’s almost hard to keep track, but the latest may be the most outrageous.
As you might have heard thanks to the vice president of the United States, Florida allegedly wants to teach its students that slavery benefited slaves.
In reality, the Florida curriculum on slavery is extensive and includes pretty much everything you’d want a child to know about this enormity. The occasion for the Kamala Harris smear is one line that says, “Instruction includes how slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit.”
This is not the first thing, or even the 19th, that you’d want students to learn about slavery, but it is also indisputably true.
No one is saying the enslaved “benefited” from slavery.
It’s not an endorsement of slavery to point out that slaves looked for every crack in the system to try to improve themselves and gain some autonomy — rather, it’s an endorsement of the initiative and resilience of an oppressed people operating in the worst of circumstances.
We are supposed to believe that enslaved African Americans strained against their awful condition in every way — learning to read, worshipping on their own, defying their masters when they could, creating an elaborate system of escape, but they never, ever learned a skill to their own benefit.
This is, of course, nonsense. The Advanced Placement African American Studies curriculum that Florida has rejected contains almost exactly the same language about skills as the state’s curriculum — without causing a firestorm of criticism.
Some of the most honored African American figures in our history took advantage of whatever ability they had, while enslaved, to improve themselves and learn. In Baltimore, Frederick Douglass famously became a ship caulker and brought in $6 to $9 a week, rightly resenting “the right of the robber” exercised by his owner, who took his earnings.
In his extraordinary “African Founders: How Enslaved People Expanded American Ideals,” David Hackett Fischer brings to light other lesser-known examples. He notes the example of one Captain David Stodder, the leading shipbuilder in Baltimore in the late 18th century. As of 1790, about two dozen of his workers were slaves, and he freed them in his will. “Among these slaves,” Fischer writes, “were some of his most highly skilled workers.”
Or consider George R. Roberts, who was probably born a slave in southern Maryland. He became an experienced seaman and eventually “came home to Baltimore, bought a small house in the happy neighborhood that is still called Canton, and became prominent in the civic life of the city.”
Or Robert Lemmons, born a slave in Texas. He learned from a rancher who employed him and became extremely adept at handling mustangs. Freed after the Civil War, according to Fischer, he “saved his profits, invested in land, built a holding of 1,200 acres, became a successful rancher, rented some of his land, added another business, and became a local money lender.”
Was slavery good for these men? Absolutely not. The point is what they accomplished despite slavery, not because of it.
Two can play the Kamala Harris game, by the way.
In her famous 1619 Project essay, The New York Times writer Nikole Hannah-Jones writes that: “Black people were not chattel. And so the process of seasoning, instead of erasing identity, served an opposite purpose: In the void, we forged a new culture all our own.”
There she goes — saying slavery served some good, that it was “seasoning.”
Imagine if the Florida curriculum said that slavery gave us African American hair styles? There’d be outrage, but Hannah-Jones says it: “Today’s avant-garde nature of black hairstyles and fashion displays a vibrant reflection of enslaved people’s determination to feel fully human through self-expression.”
The left wouldn’t have to deny the historical record or tie itself into knots if it weren’t so determined to lie about DeSantis, but that imperative overwhelms everything else.

Drag Queen Flamy Grant (Real name Matthew Blake) is celebrating after his debut album ‘Bible Belt Baby’ hit the number #1 spot on the iTunes Christian albums chart ten months after its release.
His single ‘Good Day’ also made it to the top of the iTunes Christian singles, fueled partly by some drama between him and Sean Feucht. The prominent worship leader criticized former Caedmon’s Call singer turned cross-dressing atheist Derek Webb appearing on Blake’s album, resulting in hundreds of Blake’s followers streaming the song and elevating it to the top of the heap.
Bible Belt Baby is about the spiritual trauma Blake endured growing up in a town where his whole world was a “faith-saturated, fundamentalist, very evangelical space that didn’t exactly embrace a queer kid with cross-dressing tendencies.”
Blake, who describes himself as a “shame-slaying, soothsaying, hip-swaying heathen and infidel” collaborated with Jennifer Knapp, Grace Baldridge (Semler) and Derek Webb on this nasty little endeavor.
Despite hitting number one in the charts, this is not to suggest that Blake is a successful artist. He has many music videos and songs on his YouTube channel, and nearly all of them only have several hundred views.
Furthermore, despite being out for a year, most of his songs have under 10,000 streams on Spotify, including several under 5000 listens.

Russian Lancet drones have proved a formidable danger to Ukrainian and Western armor
Over 28,000 Ukrainian soldiers have died in the second month in the failing Ukrainian “counter-offensive“ with no air or artillery support, Russian Ministry of Defence Sergei Shoigu claimed. Shoigu previously put Ukrainians losses from the first month of the “counter-offensive“ at 26,000, as Gateway reported, putting the total Ukrainian dead since June 4 at 54.000. 1435 hapless Ukrainian young men died this weekend alone, according to the Russian Ministry of Defence.
“Over the past month, Ukrainian losses were up to twenty thousand eight hundred servicemen,” Shoigu claimed, speaking to the leadership of Russian Armed Forces: “20824 men and 2227 units of various weapons, to be precise, including 10 Leopard tanks, 11 U.S.-manufactured Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, 40 U.S.-manufactured M777 artillery systems and 50 self-propelled artillery systems from the U.K., the U.S., Germany, France and Poland.”
“For two days alone – 26 and 27 July – more than 400 Ukrainian servicemen, 31 tanks, including three German-manufactured Leopard and two French-manufactured tanks, as well as 32 armoured fighting vehicles were destroyed near Rabotino,” Shoigu claimed. “A total of 63 armoured vehicles were destroyed”.
“The command of the AFU (Armed Forces of Ukraine) is desperately sending new troops into the assault on Russian positions”, Shoigu asserted, which was thwarted by the “competently constructed defences” of the Russian forces, he claimed. “A large-scale attempt by Ukrainian troops to break through Russian defences was thwarted in Orekhov direction.”
The Russian Ministry of Defence further claimed that 725 Ukrainian soldiers were killed on July 30 and 710 on July 31 in fighting on the South Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Krasny Liman, Kherson and Kupyansk fronts, putting the weekend death toll at 1435.
A video from Russian Ria Novosti TV claimed to show a single Russian tank in the Zaporozhye region stopping a column of 10 Ukrainian vehicles. 7 of the vehicles were destroyed by the Tank firing from the cover of a hedgerow, the rest were eliminated by artillery and Lancet drones, RT claimed. The video has not been independently verified.
According to the Russian state-controlled Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper, the Ukrainian column included at least two tanks and five US-made MRAP M1224 MaxxPro vehicles. The Russian tank crew reportedly forced the Ukrainian group to enter a minefield, where some of their equipment was destroyed.
Russia and Ukraine allegedly reached a peace deal as early as March 2022, which was then torpedoed by the UK and US governments.
There were concerns that Devon Archer would not show up to testify before the House Oversight Committee on Monday following the DOJ’s intimidation stunt on Saturday.
Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s longtime friend and business associate, is set to appear before the House Oversight Committee on Monday.
Archer is reportedly preparing to tell lawmakers that President Biden met with dozens of Hunter’s business associates while he was serving as vice president between 2009 and 2017.
Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) issued a subpoena in June for Archer to appear for a deposition as part of the committee’s investigation into the Biden family’s finances.
Devon Archer worked with Hunter Biden at Burisma and also at the Rosemont Seneca Partners investment firm.
Over the weekend, on Saturday, the Biden Department of Justice attempted to intimidate Devon Archer and prevent him from testifying today. The Biden DOJ sent out a letter ON SATURDAY to Archer requesting he report to prison.
Obviously, the Biden Department of Justice is worried that the truth will come out to the American people today. The regime is worried that Archer will spill the beans on the Biden Crime Family, the most corrupt political family in US history.
But Devon Archer arrived around 10:20, late for his deposition with congressional investigators.
Archer did not speak with reporters on his way into court.

(Victor Davis Hanson – American Greatness) It is easy to birth conspiracy theories. All that is required is chronic government stonewalling of reasonable requests for transparency. Then add in high officials serially lying under oath, along with the blatantly unequal application of the law. Institutionalize arguments from authority of politicians and bureaucrats who refuse to adjudicate arguments empirically.
Include the weaponization of investigatory and intelligence bureaucracies. Finish with the transformation of an obsequious media into a mouthpiece of the state. And presto, you end up with a skeptical, cynical public that learns to believe the very opposite from what it is told by elites.
