“This Is the Strongest Case I’ve Ever Seen” – Rudy Giuliani Admits the Evidence Against Biden Crime Family Is Greater than Evidence Against Mafia’s Five Families (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Former New York City Mayor and federal prosecutor Rudy Giuliani joined Steve Bannon on The War Room on Friday evening.

Giuliani, the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1983 to 1989, is famous for taking down the Five Families of the mafia in remarkable fashion.

According to RadioTimes.

Giuliani indicted 11 organised crime figures, including the heads of New York’s so-called “Five Families”, under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organisations Act (RICO) on charges including extortion, labour racketeering, and murder for hire.

It was dubbed as “the most significant assault on the infrastructure of organised crime since the high command of the Chicago Mafia was swept away in 1943” by Times Magazine – who quoted Giuliani’s stated intention: “Our approach is to wipe out the five families.”

Gambino crime family boss Paul Castellano evaded conviction when he and his underboss, Thomas Bilotti, were murdered on the streets of Midtown Manhattan in 1985.

However, three heads of the Five Families were sentenced to 100 years in prison on January 13, 1987.

On Friday night Rudy Giuliani told Steve Bannon the US government has more evidence to indict the Biden Crime Family than he did against the Five Families in the 1980s.

This comes after Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) released an FBI 1023 document that proves that Joe and Hunter took $5 million each from the Burisma founder to push the Ukrainian president to fire the prosecutor investigating Hunter Biden and the Burisma company.

Rudy Giuliani: This is probably the most verified information I’ve ever seen. It’s been verified by about three years of disclosures, including actual testimony that people have seen or can see that’s been tape recorded. I mean, Shokin has testified, the guy who was fired… Biden confessed to it when he was in front of the Atlantic Council. The hard drive contains at least five texts that would be used as admissions in the trial. The best one being that Hunter texts his daughter straight out saying, “I’ve had to give half my income for the last 30 years to pop.” They say, well, there’s no evidence that money went to pop. Yeah, how about his son says he gave it to him? I’ve never had better evidence than that. Steve this is like Alice in Wonderland.

Alice in Wonderland.

The Percentage Of Americans That Believe In God Has Fallen To An All-Time Low | End Of The American Dream

Do you believe in God?  If so, you belong to a portion of the population that is steadily shrinking.  Yes, a majority of Americans still think that God exists, but the trend is clearly going in one direction.  So are we headed down the same road that so many post-Christian nations in western Europe have already gone down?  According to a shocking new survey that Gallup has just released, the percentage of Americans that believe in God has plunged to the lowest level that they have ever recorded

The percentages of Americans who believe in each of five religious entities — God, angels, heaven, hell and the devil — have edged downward by three to five percentage points since 2016. Still, majorities believe in each, ranging from a high of 74% believing in God to lows of 59% for hell and 58% for the devil. About two-thirds each believe in angels (69%) and heaven (67%).

74 percent may sound high, but it is important to note that this includes anyone that may believe that any sort of a “god” exists.

So this figure would include people from many different religions.

Overall, the percentage of Americans that believe in God has fallen by a whopping 16 points just since 2001

Gallup has used this framework to measure belief in these spiritual entities five times since 2001, and the May 1-24, 2023, poll finds that each is at its lowest point. Compared with 2001, belief in God and heaven is down the most (16 points each), while belief in hell has fallen 12 points, and the devil and angels are down 10 points each.

Church attendance has been steadily declining over the years as well.

In fact, a different Gallup survey discovered that church attendance is down by about 10 percentage points since 2012…

U.S. church attendance has shown a small but noticeable decline compared with what it was before the COVID-19 pandemic. In the four years before the pandemic, 2016 through 2019, an average of 34% of U.S. adults said they had attended church, synagogue, mosque or temple in the past seven days. From 2020 to the present, the average has been 30%, including a 31% reading in a May 1-24 survey.

The recent church attendance levels are about 10 percentage points lower than what Gallup measured in 2012 and most prior years.

The American people are increasingly losing faith in organized religion, and it certainly doesn’t help that almost every day there is a story in the news about some member of the clergy that has committed some sort of horrible crime.  For example, just today I came across a story about an “executive pastor” that stole $130,000 from his own church

A New Hampshire executive pastor has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for stealing around $130,000 from his church to pay off gambling debts and make purchases.

Gregory Neal, of Barrington, 45, was sentenced in federal court Wednesday and ordered to pay back the Journey Baptist Church and the insurance company that covered a portion of the losses.

Sadly, many Americans are also losing faith in the traditional Christian values that this nation was founded upon.

According to one recent poll, approximately two out of every five young adults in the U.S. believe that marriage is “an outdated tradition”

Are there wedding bells in your future? If you’re young and in love, the answer is — probably not! A new survey finds that two in five young adults think marriage is an outdated tradition. Moreover, a staggering 85 percent don’t think you need to get married to have a fulfilling and committed relationship.

Interestingly, the poll, commissioned by the Thriving Center Of Psychology, found that more women (52%) than men (41%) have this view of marriage. So much for saying yes to the dress!

Our society is not going to survive if we keep going down this path.

Meanwhile, the numbers for those on the other side of the battle for our culture just keep improving.

A very high percentage of our national leaders have graduated from Ivy League schools, and the demographics at those schools clearly demonstrate where America is heading.

At Yale, 29 percent of the current study body identifies as LGBTQ+…

According to Yale Daily News, around 29% of its responding student body identified as something other than straight, as the school boasted that it “welcomed the largest and most diverse class in University history.”

More specifically, 14% said they were bisexual, 6% gay/lesbian, 8% “questioning,” and 1% asexual.

At Harvard, that figure has risen to 21 percent and it is set to go even higher…

Over at Harvard, the 2023 class had about a 21% non-straight population, according to the Harvard Crimson. But the school is ready to outdo itself, as the class of 2025 will increase that number to 29%. That rate is a more than 18% increase from the class of 2017, which was represented by an 89.9% straight student body.

We are rapidly becoming the polar opposite of the society that our founders once established.

If our country ever needed a “great awakening” it is now.

Because the clock is definitely ticking.

Many Americans live their lives as if there will never be any consequences, but the truth is that none of us know what day will be our last.

In recent years, so many people that I deeply cared about have suddenly passed away.

And it is just a matter of time before our entire society experiences a sudden shock that will literally change everything in a single moment.

Earlier this week, I was alarmed to read that NASA did not even know about a large asteroid that almost hit our planet until it had already gone past us

An asteroid called 2023 NT1 reached as close as around 62,000 miles from Earth – about a quarter the distance between Earth and the moon – on July 13.

But it wasn’t until two days after its close approach that NASA scientists detected it, because it was coming from the direction of the sun and was obscured by light.

2023 NT1, which is now moving away from Earth at a speed of about 25,000 miles per hour, is up to 200 feet in diameter – bigger than the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Did you hear about this in the news?

Most people did not.

This particular asteroid was not big enough to kill millions of people, but scientists tell us that it is just a matter of time before such a giant space rock does come along.

When that day arrives, what will you do?

Will you cry out to God?

Perhaps you will, but more Americans than ever don’t want anything to do with Him, and that is extremely unfortunate.

The Rise of the Machines | CultureWatch

We do NOT want a post-human future:

It is often the case that writers of science fiction and various filmmakers can sometimes be much more savvy, aware and perceptive about the dangers that we face than our politicians, leaders and elites. Indeed, often it is our politicians, leaders and elites who ARE the danger. Sometimes novelists and even Hollywood can shine a clear and penetrating light on their nefarious agendas and designs.

Sci-Fi writers from long ago have sounded the alarm about how science and technology can go awry. Instead of being a major help to humanity, they can often become a major threat to it. One thinks of earlier writers such as H. G. Wells of course, or more recent authors such as Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, Ray Bradbury and A. E. van Vogt.

Recent films have also asked hard questions about where our technologies and elites are taking us, and about our post-human future – perhaps even our anti-human future. (A film will soon be needed on the transhumanist and globalist agendas of sinister schemers such as Schwab, Harari, the WEF and the Great Reset.)

But some of the films that warned us about the way things are heading would include these:

Soylent Green (1973)

Blade Runner (1982)

Gattaca (1997)

The Sixth Day (2000)

AI (2001)

I, Robot (2004)

The Island (2005)

Elysium (2013)

Replicas (2018)

And of course one can mention the six Terminator films of James Cameron:

-The Terminator (1984)

-Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)

-Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)

-Terminator Salvation (2009)

-Terminator Genisys (2015)

-Terminator Dark Fate (2019)

Speaking of Cameron, I was interested to see this in the news just the other day:

Oscar-winning Canadian filmmaker James Cameron says he agrees with experts in the artificial intelligence field that advancements in the technology pose a serious risk to humanity. Cameron, who’s been critically acclaimed for his films “Titanic” and “Avatar,” among others, is in Ottawa Tuesday to launch a Canadian Geographic exhibit about his feats of deep-sea exploration.

He also directed and co-wrote the 1984 science fiction action film “Terminator,” about a cyborg assassin, and was asked by CTV News about his thoughts on recent predictions about the future of AI. Many of the so-called godfathers of AI have recently issued warnings about the need to regulate the rapidly advancing technology before it poses a larger threat to humanity. “I absolutely share their concern,” Cameron told CTV News Chief Political Correspondent Vassy Kapelos in a Canadian exclusive interview ahead of a conversation with his long-time mentor Dr. Joe MacInnis Tuesday.

“I warned you guys in 1984, and you didn’t listen,” he said. Cameron said it’s important to evaluate who is developing the technology, and whether they’re doing it for profit — “teaching greed” — or for defence, what he called “teaching paranoia.”

“I think the weaponization of AI is the biggest danger,” he said. “I think that we will get into the equivalent of a nuclear arms race with AI, and if we don’t build it, the other guys are for sure going to build it, and so then it’ll escalate. You could imagine an AI in a combat theatre, the whole thing just being fought by the computers at a speed humans can no longer intercede, and you have no ability to deescalate.” https://www.ctvnews.ca/sci-tech/i-warned-you-guys-in-1984-terminator-filmmaker-james-cameron-says-of-ai-s-risks-to-humanity-1.6484546

Some of my readers are much more well-versed in science fiction than I am. But let me mention just one very useful book on these matters. All the Sci-Fi writers I mentioned above – and others – are nicely covered in one of the 22 recommended volumes I recently listed on AI, transhumanism and related matters. It is found here: https://billmuehlenberg.com/2023/02/27/top-22-books-on-transhumanism-ai-and-the-new-technologies/

Image of Transhuman and Subhuman: Essays on Science Fiction and Awful Truth
Transhuman and Subhuman: Essays on Science Fiction and Awful Truth by Wright, John C. (Author)

The author and book are these: John Wright, Transhuman and Subhuman: Essays on Science Fiction and Awful Truth. (Wisecraft, 2019). There is plenty to like about this 360-page book, but let me just feature a few brief quotes. He opens his book with these words:

I am intensely skeptical of Transhumanist ambitions. Much as I admire their intermediate goals of increasing human lifespan or human comfort through medical technology, their long term goals cause me reservations, or even revulsion. Allow me to explain using the most indirect means possible: by discussing fantasy stories.

Anyone who does not sense or suspect that modernity is missing something, something important that once we had and now is lost, has no heart for High Fantasy and no taste for it.

I don’t regard this statement as controversial. To me it seems not worth discussing that the present age differs from the past. The only question worth discussing is the nature of the differences, and, by extension, the nature of the future the present trends will tend to create.

What is wrong with the world? Where are we heading?

Are we heading toward the higher peak of the superhuman, or to a subhuman abyss? If I may be permitted a drollery, let me phrase it this way: shall our children be the Slans of A.E. van Vogt, or the Morlocks of H.G. Wells?…

Readers of science fiction have an advantage of perspective over readers who limit themselves to mainstream books, namely, that any works taking place in a year as yet unborn, or in a world as yet unknown, must concentrate their attention on those things we take for granted; because in worlds to come they may indeed no longer be taken for granted, nor exist at all.

The science fiction reader, as if from the vantage point of some shining skyscraper of the future, can look back through time to this our present, and see what we here might not.

Throughout the book he not only quotes and refers to Sci-Fi authors, but also draws upon the likes of Chesterton, Tolkien, Lewis, Ayn Rand and others. He examines history, theology and philosophy among others things, and offers wise commentary along the way. He closes his opening chapter with these words:

Postmodernism, which rejects the concept of one overarching explanation for reality, is explicitly Occultic: the truth is hidden and never can be known…. They say truth is private, partial, relative, ineffable. That disease causes the madness of nihilism. They say truth is not truth.

The rise of science and technology did not cause this disease, but the prestige of science aggravated it, because theology and philosophy cannot be reduced to algorithms, nor can skeptics willing to bow to the results of an experiment be persuaded to bow to virtues, powers and principalities they cannot see….

Transhumanism, beyond its near-term goals of improving human life through medicine and expanded human life span, has a long-term goal of abolishing human mortality. This is a worldly doctrine carried to an extreme.

Immortal humans would be devils, since we would decay in our sins over the centuries, becoming ever more selfish and arrogant. Ah, but another long-term goal of transhumanism is to eliminate human sin and selfishness though technological manipulations of whatever bodies or housings out thoguth happens to occupy in the days after the Singularity. The Transhumanists, with childlike faith, merely assume the technology to redact, edit, program and condition human thoughts and personalities one day will exist, and we can turn our leaden souls to gold.

The problem of who would program whom, and who conditions the conditioners, can only be solved by reversion to the Cultic frame of mind. Simplistic absolutes are the only things the Thought Police can impose on the human cattle. Sinners, themselves, their ability to envision, much less create sinless epigones, is no greater than the ability of men and women now, here in this era, to raise perfect children. We cannot even picture what such Perfect people woud be like, unless we picture a simplistic caricature: the John Galt of the Libertines, or the New Man of the Marxists.

The Perfect People would, of course, assuming anyone survived the perfection operations and the surrounding wars and genocides, still retain the mind-conditioning technology. Now there are only two possible options: first, they would retain enough of their human nature to be discontent with life. Seeking contentment, and not finding it in perfection, they must of course turn to what I call Occultism, the search for hidden things that cannot be put into words. By the mere process of trial and error, some other form of being will eventually be created, perhaps intelligent, perhaps self-aware, but not human in any sense that we mean the word.

The second option is that the Perfect People would not retain their human nature. Creatures without souls but with intellect capable of free will are devils. The only thing they can do is destroy. At that point, eventually, the great anarchy will reign, and the only thing these heirs to the once-great human race will find to occupy their immortal and endless and meaningless time is discovering ways to destroy themselves and each other.

That is why I am skeptical of the Transhumanist ambitions.

If all that has gone over the heads of some readers, perhaps this might be easier to digest. One meme I spotted online today said this: “Humans doing the hard jobs on minimum wage while the robots write poetry and paint is not the future I wanted.”

The Sound of Freedom And The War on Children | Video

What could be the motivation behind CNN or any prominent media outlet attacking a film about Child Sex Trafficking? The Sound of Freedom movie released July 4, held first place in the box office ahead of the “Indiana Jones – The Dial of Destiny”, was the second most-watched film in North America last weekend, behind “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning,” and has made more than $100 million at the box office as of the time of the release of this podcast. This success has shocked the Hollywood establishment and angered the Left. Why? In this episode of “Ideas Have Consequences,” Larry explains the reasons behind this uproar and helps you make the connections.

Mann’s Word: A BRIEF EVANGELISTIC PRESENTATION OF THE GOSPEL

ALL NEED TO BE SAVED: Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

THE PENALTY: ROMANS 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

HE DIED FOR OUR SINS: Romans 5:8–10 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

WHAT MUST WE DO? John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

WE CANNOT EARN SALVATION: Ephesians 2:8–9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

WHAT ROLE DOES OBEDIENCE PLAY? Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

IT REQUIRES EFFORT EVEN THOUGH IT IS A FREE GIFT: Philippians 2:12–13 …work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

BUT GOD DOES THE HEAVY LIFTING: 1 Corinthians 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.

OBEDIENCE PROVIDES BLESSING AND EVIDENCE OF A  REAL FAITH AND REPENTANCE: 1 John 2:3–5 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him:

Friend of the Poor | Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God

Jesus, a friend of sinners and a friend of the poor

“I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40 (NIV)

A recently read Anne LaMotte’s book, “Plan B: Further Thoughts on Faith.” In her dry humorous style, she writes about visiting a prison with a friend “to teach inmates how to tell stories.”  She then shares a quote from Reverend James Forbes that has stayed with me for many days. He said, “Nobody gets into heaven without a letter of reference from the poor.”

Rev. Forbes bases his thoughts on Matthew 25 where the Son of Man separates the sheep from the goats. The sheep, “those who cared for the poor and the prisoners” are allowed to share in the kingdom inheritance; the goats aren’t.

Our culture is so focused on popularity and individual gain, it’s easy to get caught up in this. But when we get quiet before God and sit at His feet, we are reminded of Jesus, a friend of sinners and a friend of the poor.

Lord, when our hearts are turned towards You, we can’t help but also see the poor, the prisoners and the unloved. Help me to see those precious souls the world disregards and reach out with love, grace and compassion.

Jesus Never Looked Down on Others | Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God.

Jesus never looked down on others

Think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.” (1 Corinthians 1:26 NIV)

Jesus never looked down on others, and that gave him the ability to see them as people.

They weren’t users, consumers, or customers. They were people in need of a relationship with him, not a ‘dos-and-dont’s‘ religion.

Once we understand our identity in Christ, we will begin to see people in a similar way. We will see that they are eternal beings, created in the image of God. We will no longer use their circumstances or sins to define who they are; we will see who they are through the eyes of Jesus.

This perspective, so different from our natural tendencies, brought out the best in the people Jesus met. He saw their true value, and, as a result, they came to know their true value.

Consider:

  • Jesus saw a woman who would sin no more when others saw a woman caught in adultery.
  • Jesus saw a man who was able to see when others saw a blind man.
  • Jesus saw a man picking up his mat to walk when others saw a cripple.
  • Jesus saw a huge yet hurting heart when others saw a wee little man named Zacchaeus.
  • Jesus saw an articulate disciple when others saw a tax collector named Matthew.
  • Jesus saw a woman of willing sacrifice when others saw wasted perfume.
  • Jesus saw a stable rock for building the Church when others saw an impulsive, impetuous disciple named Peter.
  • Jesus saw men who did not know what they were doing when others saw evil men pounding nails into a cross.

Our objective is to stop seeing others from our limited perspective and to start seeing them in the way God sees them, encouraging the best of others, bringing them to the one who wants more than all the world what is best for them — Christ the Lord (Luke 2:8-10).

Thoughts – – Think of someone that you have looked down on. When God looks at you and this person, what similarities do you think he sees?

Try to spend one day seeing and hearing through the eyes and ears of Christ.

How does it change the way you see others? How does it change the way you treat others?

THE FOUNDATION

“It is necessary for every American, with becoming energy to endeavor to stop the dissemination of principles evidently destructive of the cause for which they have bled. It must be the combined virtue of the rulers and of the people to do this, and to rescue and save their civil and religious rights from the outstretched arm of tyranny, which may appear under any mode or form of government.” —Mercy Warren (1805)

FEATURED ANALYSIS

The Bidens Allegedly ‘Coerced’ Burisma for Bribes

Hunter Biden’s corruption was always about Joe Biden’s corruption.

Nate Jackson

“The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” That’s Article II, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution, and Joe Biden probably wishes that sentence wasn’t there because what he is alleged to have done is an impeachable offense.

Thanks to the tenacity of congressional Republicans — specifically Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley — the public can now read a very intriguing FBI FD-1023, a form used to collect raw intelligence from trusted confidential human sources (CHS) in need of verification. The form contains allegations that then-Vice President Joe Biden and family may have received a $10 million bribe from energy giant Burisma, where Hunter Biden served on the board, in exchange for pressuring then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who was investigating the energy company.

According to the FBI document, a company source said, “It costs 5 (million) to pay one Biden, and 5 (million) to another Biden.” It’s unclear if the money had been dispersed, but if it was, it was perhaps funneled through those Biden shell companies.

In the document, a Burisma executive explains that Hunter, who “was stupid” and had no relevant experience, only held that position “to protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems.” Gee, ya don’t say. In fact, both Joe Biden and Hunter Biden (the “smartest guy” Joe knows) made it clear to Burisma that this was why the energy company should hire the VP’s son.

Mykola Zlochevsky, a Ukrainian oligarch and founder and CEO of Burisma, claimed he was “pushed to pay” the Bidens, and he has “many text messages and ‘recordings,’” including two of Joe Biden, “that show he was coerced to make such payments” However, because Joe was personally involved in Shokin’s firing, “nobody would find out about [Zlochevsky’s] financial dealings with the Bidens.”

Oops.

Not surprisingly, the same FBI that killed the Hunter Biden laptop story despite knowing it was legitimate has been hiding this Burisma document from investigators for quite some time. For example, said Congressman James Comer, “The IRS team responsible for the Biden criminal investigation NEVER received the unclassified FBI FD-1023 form that alleged a Burisma executive bribed then-VP Biden for $5 million.” Remember, the IRS whistleblowers just testified Wednesday regarding the very relevant case of Hunter’s taxes.

“In the FBI’s record,” Comer added, “the Burisma executive claims that he didn’t pay the ‘big guy’ directly but that he used several bank accounts to conceal the money. That sounds an awful lot like how the Bidens conduct business: using multiple bank accounts to hide the source and total amount of the money.”

We’ve been sounding the alarm on this — repeatedly — for years.

This isn’t a Republican conspiracy, though the same Democrats who spent four years chasing the Russian collusion rabbit down a hole hilariously insist the FBI form contains “unverified” and “secondhand” allegations. Well, here’s Joe Biden bragging in 2018 about how he got the prosecutor fired by threatening to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid from Ukraine.

“I looked at [the Ukrainian leaders] and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’ Well, son of a b**ch — he got fired.”

Democrats were so outraged about this quid quo pro that they impeached … Donald Trump for that famous phone call in which he asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to find some evidence of Biden’s corruption. Put another way, they impeached Trump for what Biden actually did — for what he admitted doing and, it seems, got paid a lot of money to do.

You might think this would be big news for the newspaper that broke the Watergate story, then one of the biggest corruption scandals in U.S. history. If you do think that, you’d be wrong.

“Democracy Dies in Darkness” became The Washington Post’s first-ever slogan a couple of weeks after Donald Trump took office in 2017. It seems that isn’t so much a defiant motto in defense of democracy as it is a promise to kill it. Such is plainly the case when it comes to protecting Joe Biden from impeachment over his personal involvement in an alleged criminal bribery scheme.

A search of the paper’s website for the keyword “Burisma” says the most recent result is from May … of 2022. That single story is preceded by a small handful from 2020, including one “news analysis” piece making sure we all know Burisma is nothing more than a Trump distraction from his own troubles, and another one that “ruled out involvement by Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden or his son, Hunter.”

Since that supposed authoritative debunking, the Post has said virtually zip about Burisma.

That silence includes nothing on the Post’s home page or archives today after yesterday’s bombshell. The Post is hardly alone, of course, as numerous outlets went to great lengths over the years to discredit or suppress any story hinting that Hunter Biden’s corruption is really Joe Biden’s corruption.

As observer David Burge one joked: “Journalism is about covering important stories. With a pillow, until they stop moving.”

Don’t the American people deserve to know if their current president accepted bribes while he was vice president? Bribes from a notoriously corrupt country that he is now going to great lengths to support?

Well, sometimes democracy dies in darkness.

Are Shootings Really Racist?

A new study on mass shootings in metropolitan areas tries to pin it on “structural racism.”

Douglas Andrews

When in doubt, cry Reecism!

That seems to be the mindset of the gun-grabbing Left, especially as it pertains to “gun violence,” which of course affects inner-city blacks to a greater extent than suburban whites. Or suburban blacks. Or suburban Asians. Or suburban Inuits.

We say “of course” here not out of triumphalism. Not at all. The everyday genocide of black-on-black murder is a blight on our nation and has been for decades. But a new study in JAMA Surgery, a publication of the leftist Journal of the American Medical Association, treats this commonly understood fact as something new, something heretofore unacknowledged. As CNN’s Nicole Chavez reports, “Mass shootings in major metropolitan areas in the United States disproportionately affect Black people, and structural racism may play a role, according to a study published on Wednesday in the journal JAMA Surgery.”

Hmm … is it structural reecism, then, or might this disturbing disproportionality have something to do with the fact that blacks are over-represented in “major metropolitan areas” all across the nation?

Why, yes, it might. Chavez continues: “The study found that in areas with higher Black populations, mass shootings are likelier to occur compared to communities with higher White populations. There are also more Black people injured and killed when mass shootings take place, the findings say.”

The study comes from researchers at Tulane University in New Orleans, who, it’s safe to say, are well aware of the Big Easy’s perennial status as a front-runner — along with cities such as Baltimore, Chicago, Memphis, Philadelphia, and St. Louis — for the dubious distinction as the nation’s murder capital.

Halfway through the CNN piece, we’d begun to detect a bit of an anti-gun bias, and a subsequent quote from a pair of Northwestern University doctors confirmed this. Referring to the JAMA study, Drs. Kimberly B. Golisch and Leah C. Tatebe said, “The results have implications for targeted interventions to address firearm violence at community and national levels.”

So, you see, it’s a gun problem and not a culture problem. The deep devaluation of human life in urban American culture has nothing to do with the fact that young, inner-city black men and boys have, for decades, been gunning each other down by the bushel.

According to the apologists on the Left, it’s the guns. And it’s the racism. Moreover, it’s an attempt to turn the assailant into the victim and to discount the fundamental criminality. Put another way, when it comes to inner-city black-on-black crime, the researchers and academicians on the Left want to emphasize social justice over criminal justice. They want to absolve the criminals by blaming “structural racism.”

But that approach is in itself racist. To borrow from former President George W. Bush, it’s the soft bigotry of low expectations. We forgive you, young black men, for you knowing not what you do.

Sadly, tragically, we’re about to see a lethal manifestation of this attitude put into practice in the crime-ridden communities of Chicago’s South Side. As Fox News reports: “On Tuesday, the Illinois Supreme Court ruled in favor of eliminating the state’s cash bail system. The ruling takes effect Sept. 18, making Illinois the first state to fully abolish cash bail.”

We wrote about no-cash bail recently. We’re not optimistic.

The plight of inner-city black Americans has been well documented on these pages by Mark Alexander and our entire team. As Alexander wrote in February, “When high-profile assaults occur, Democrats default to blaming guns and those who support the Second Amendment as a diversionary distraction to avoid the politically inconvenient truth regarding the actual racial demographic of assailants responsible for the national epidemic of violent crime.”

As Alexander concludes, it’s all political smoke and mirrors; all an attempt to hide the fact that guns don’t commit homicides — violent thugs do.

Good News: Women’s Cycling Leading the Way

Biological men are banned from women’s events in all categories.

Emmy Griffin

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is a huge international cycling body based in Paris, France. It is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and organizes high-level events for cyclists ranging from BMX racing to mountain biking. It just recently issued a rule that officially bans biological men from women’s events in all categories. In its official statement, UCI wrote:

From now on, female transgender athletes who have transitioned after [male] puberty will be prohibited from participating in women’s events on the UCI International Calendar — in all categories — in the various disciplines.

This is huge. Those hopeful among us figured that the transgender agenda would cross a line eventually. Cycling is the first sport to take a firm stance to protect the integrity of women.

Biological men, regardless of their testosterone-suppression levels, have a body composition that makes them stronger and faster than even elite women athletes. Men gain muscle faster, have greater lung capacity, and have so many other biological advantages.

In cycling, this advantage is particularly apparent. Male cyclists are absolutely crushing women competitors in the United States.

Gender-dysphoric Austin Killops destroyed his competition in an earlier Belgian Waffle Ride in North Carolina.

“Tiffany” Thomas, another gender-confused individual, won the national cyclocross event in New York in May. A 35-time winner cyclocross champ — a biological female named Hannah Arensman — retired from cycling after finishing fourth in between the third- and fifth-place “transgender” competitors. Her statement upon retiring was:

I have decided to end my cycling career. At my last race at the recent UCI Cyclocross National Championships in the elite women’s category in December 2022, I came in 4th place, flanked on either side by male riders awarded 3rd and 5th places. My sister and family sobbed as they watched a man finish in front of me, having witnessed several physical interactions with him throughout the race.

And yet, when one points out to the transgender athletes that it is absolutely unfair for them to compete in the women’s events because of their inherent biological advantages, they start to play an emotional extortion game. Transgender woman (read: male) Emily Bridges — who, before deciding he was actually a woman, set the national junior men’s record over 25 miles in 2019 — has called this obviously fair prohibition a “violent act.”

Some will go even further than that and actually threaten women or “TERFs” (Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminists).

Why has women’s cycling been so steadfast in gaining and maintaining its sports integrity? Because the women cyclists have banded together and held massive boycotts and protests. They are absolutely right to do so. If the playing field isn’t fair, what is the point of competing at all?

According to Inga Thompson, an elite female cyclist: “Ninety-three percent of the pro women cyclists did not agree with the transgender woman competing in women’s cycling. The UCI listened to their women and listened to the current science. Bravo to the UCI.”

The fight is now taken up by athletes in the U.S. Women’s cycling is pushing to get its sport back. Their bravery is an inspiration. They are the true suffragettes of our time.

Why Is Barack Obama Peddling Smut to Our Kids?

The former president has taken the wrong side in an important debate about what books are appropriate for our children.

Brian Mark Weber

It’s bad enough that there’s a national effort underway to keep sexually explicit material in the hands of your children. But why on earth are the American Library Association and former President Barack Obama promoting it?

As part of its Orwellian United Against Book Bans project, the ALA website lists the top 13 “most challenged” books of 2022. What’s noteworthy is it actually admits that every single book on the list is being challenged due to sexually explicit content.

Yet this didn’t stop Obama from writing an open letter to the ALA in which he tries to pull the wool over our eyes. “In any democracy, the free exchange of ideas is an important part of making sure that citizens are informed, engaged and feel like their perspectives matter,” Obama writes. “It’s so important, in fact, that here in America, the First Amendment of our Constitution states that freedom begins with our capacity to share and access ideas — even, and maybe especially, the ones we disagree with.”

How inspiring. How eloquent. How dangerously deceptive.

And how contradictory. For one, if our capacity to share and access ideas is so important to Obama and the Democrats, why are they censoring Americans with opposing political and social views? They apparently think it’s just fine for the government to collude with Big Tech to censor certain social media posts. Heck, Democrats even voted this week to prevent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from testifying at a hearing on censorship to which he was invited.

That says it all, doesn’t it? In response to a letter signed by 102 of his fellow Democrats to prevent him from testifying before the House Judiciary Committee yesterday, Kennedy said flatly, “This is an attempt to censor a censorship hearing.”

Beyond that, there’s an effort underway in which banks and other companies are shutting down accounts of people with unpopular political beliefs. Yet, somehow, we’re supposedly threatening our sacred constitutional freedoms for wanting to keep Lawnboy and The Hips of the Drag Queen Go Swish, Swish, Swish out of the hands of third-graders.

In truth, conservatives and other good people who want to keep these books out of schools aren’t trying to ban The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn — as Democrats have done in the past.

As the editors at National Review write in an unfortunately necessary graphic explanation, “The book that is most commonly described as having been ‘banned’ — by which critics do not actually mean ‘banned,’ but rather ‘moved to a different section within, or removed completely from, public school libraries’ — is Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe, a graphic work that, among other things, includes depictions of minors performing oral sex, of male adults having penetrative sex, and of an adult man masturbating a small boy’s penis.”

They add, “Others on the ‘banned’ list are Let’s Talk About It, which features graphic illustrations of masturbation; Flamer, a book about young boys engaging in sexual acts at a summer camp; and This Book Is Gay, a book that demonstrates ‘the ins and outs of gay sex.’”

What accounts for Barack Obama having left out these crucial, revealing, and — let’s face it — grotesque details? Could it be that he wants you to think right-wing parents are pulling Dr. Seuss books off the shelves of our elementary schools?

Oh, never mind. Democrats are actually the ones who claimed Dr. Seuss books were too dangerous and racist for kids to read.

Think about it: The very books Obama wants to keep on the shelves of elementary and middle schools contain such graphic images and language that they couldn’t be read on broadcast television or the evening news. But the groomers writing and pushing these books enjoy the political and financial support of the Democrats.

The Left is so hell-bent on making sure kids get to read the most vile and inappropriate material in school that they’re forcing it on them whether we like it or not. Just this week, for example, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced plans to send textbooks to Temecula Valley Unified School District featuring information about gay rights activist Harvey Milk even after the school board voted to reject the book.

Shouldn’t local school boards be in charge of local school libraries?

But Newsom isn’t stopping there. Instead, he’s petulantly fining the school district $1.5 million plus $1.6 million to cover the shipping costs of the books.

Of course, anyone opposing the Left is accused of hatred against LGBTQXYZ folks or of racism, but as columnist Tyler O’Neil writes, “Parents don’t oppose those books due to racism or animus against those who identify as LGBT — they raised concerns about sexually explicit images and passages in the books.”

In the end, this isn’t about banning books. It’s about protecting children. “There is a distinct difference in challenging books versus a book ban,” our own Emmy Griffin wrote last week. “Those challenged books can still be sold at any bookstore or borrowed from many libraries.”

So, Democrats, maybe it would help to calm down and take a few cleansing breaths. No one’s coming for your books about pedophilia or graphic gay sex. You and Barack Obama can still enjoy them. Just keep them away from our kids.

Executive News Summary

Flight attendant saves honeymoon, $10,000 per NYC “protester,” Senate Dems advance SCOTUS “ethics” bill, and more.

Thomas Gallatin & Jordan Candler

Cross-Examination

  • American Spirit: Flight attendant saves honeymoon: When newlyweds discovered mid-flight from Detroit to their honeymoon destination of San Juan, Puerto Rico, that the bride had forgotten her passport, panic set in. The couple was scheduled to set out on a Caribbean cruise requiring their passports. In desperation, the couple reached out to a Delta flight attendant, Dusty Dills, who after hearing their predicament went above and beyond. Dills noted that since he would be on a returning flight to Detroit that day, he could pick up the bride’s passport, fly back down to Atlanta, and hand it off to another flight attendant who could then get it to the couple in San Juan. The plan was put into action with the help of the bride’s sister getting the passport to Dills in Detroit, and with just an hour and a half to spare, the passport was in the hands of the bride in time for the newlyweds to board their honeymoon cruise. “I consider that the greatest wedding gift we could have asked for,” the bride gushed. “I felt like probably the luckiest bride on Earth.”
  • $10,000 per NYC “protester”: New York City has settled a class-action lawsuit brought by lawyers representing thousands of leftist “protesters” who took to the city’s streets following the death of George Floyd. The $13.7 million settlement, which equates to roughly $10,000 each for nearly 1,400 people, comes after accusations were raised of police brutality against protesters. As curfews were broken and rioters descended on the streets of New York from May 28 to June 7, 2020, the city’s law enforcement responded by eventually arresting more than 2,000 individuals. With the settlement, which is the largest ever paid to protesters, the city denies any liability and denies that NYPD officers violated anyone’s rights. So these “protesters” not only got away with breaking laws, they also have been rewarded for doing so. Is it any wonder New York City is struggling with a growing crime problem?
  • Dems try to censor RFK Jr. at censorship hearing: Prior to and during a House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government hearing, Democrat lawmakers sought to prevent Democrat presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from testifying. Smearing the old-school Democrat as a racist anti-Semite and a dangerous anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist, the Democrats — ironically during a hearing focused on the federal government’s collusion with Big Tech to censor Americans’ speech — argued that Kennedy should not be allowed to speak. “I never thought the Democrats would go after a Kennedy,” observed former Representative Jason Chaffetz. “I never thought I’d see that day. But unbelievable that … in literally a hearing about censorship, they would try to censor this witness.” Far from being a big tent, the modern Democrat Party is intolerant of any deviation in views from its increasingly narrow-minded authoritarian agenda.
  • Senate Dems advance SCOTUS “ethics” bill: In their ongoing attacks against the U.S. Supreme Court, Senate Democrats advanced their dubious “ethics” bill out of the Judiciary Committee for a full Senate vote. The bill in question would force new transparency rules and standards onto the Court. Seeing this as a ploy by Democrats to assert political control over the Court due to several decisions that Democrats have objected to, Republicans have steadfastly refused to go along with the charade. As Republican Senator Lindsey Graham (SC) argued, “If this bill ever passed, the Supreme Court would be destroyed as we know it.” While the bill has no chance of becoming law since it won’t get the needed 60 votes in the Senate or pass through the Republican-controlled House, its purpose is for Democrats to use it as a political bludgeon against Republicans for rejecting “ethics” standards for a “rogue” court.
  • Good news: VA parental rights win: Virginia Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin is following through on his commitment to defend parental rights. The commonwealth’s Department of Education recently released new policy requirements for all public schools regarding the “transgender” issue. The new rules prohibit schools from accommodating a student’s expressed “transgender” identity without first receiving written permission from their parent(s). This includes referring to the student with a different name or opposite gender pronouns. Furthermore, students will be required to use bathrooms that match their biological sex and only compete in sports that correspond to their biological sex. Youngkin touted the new policies by stating, “The Department of Education has delivered policies that empower parents, prohibit discrimination, create a safe and vibrant learning environment by addressing bullying incidents immediately, and protect the privacy and dignity of all students through bathroom policies, athletic procedures, and student identification measures.”
  • Disgraceful Stanford Law DEI dean finally gets the gate: Back in March, a shameful scene unfolded at Stanford Law School when U.S. Circuit Judge Kyle Duncan, who had been invited to speak at the school, was shouted down by a number of belligerent students. Worse than the students’ behavior, however, was that of the school’s associate dean for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Tirien Steinbach. Rather than rebuke the disruptive students, Steinbach took the opportunity to scold the Trump-appointed judge. She ridiculously claimed that his mere presence there was doing “harm” to the law students because she took umbrage with several of his rulings. Well, the good news is that Steinbach is no longer employed by Stanford Law. She has resigned following the school issuing a public rebuttal of her claims and putting her on leave.

Following Affirmative Action’s Demise, Slay the DEI Leviathan

Fortune 100 CEOs are now “on notice of the illegality of racial quotas and race-based preferences in employment and contracting practices.”

Josh Hammer

On Thursday, Stanford Law School Dean Jenny Martinez announced that its embattled associate dean for “diversity, equity, and inclusion” (DEI), Tirien Steinbach, has resigned. Steinbach’s all but assuredly forced “resignation” followed an outpouring of disgust from Americans revolted by her disgraceful antics during the Stanford Federalist Society student chapter’s attempted hosting in March of a speech by U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit Judge Kyle Duncan, which was constantly disrupted by outlandish student behavior and ultimately canceled. Steinbach’s resignation represents a modicum of justice following a grievous wrong. Now, Steinbach will have plenty of time to mull over whether the “juice” of her abetting an obstreperous law school student woke mob was worth the “squeeze” of her eventual dismissal.

Steinbach’s overdue “resignation” is the latest domino to fall in a rapid succession of righteous pushbacks against the roving academic and corporate diversitycrat commissars who collectively comprise America’s DEI regime. Perhaps not coincidentally, these dominoes have all fallen after last month’s landmark vindication of constitutional colorblindness, and defeat for race-conscious affirmative action programs, in the consolidated U.S. Supreme Court cases of Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) v. Harvard College and SFFA v. University of North Carolina. Following the demise of affirmative action at the Court, the next goal for proponents of colorblindness and foes of racial determinism is clear: Slay the DEI Leviathan.

Last Thursday, a coalition of 13 Republican state attorneys general, led by Kansas’ Kris Kobach and Tennessee’s Jonathan Skrmetti, sent a letter to the CEOs of all Fortune 100 companies “to remind (them) of (their) obligations as … employer(s) under federal and state law to refrain from discriminating on the basis of race, whether under the label of ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion’ or otherwise.” The attorneys general cite numerous laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, to bolster their anodyne contention that racial discrimination in the workplace is “both immoral and illegal.” While the Court’s opinion in SFFA did not directly touch on Title VII, Justice Neil Gorsuch’s concurring opinion correctly noted that Title VI, a sister provision of Title VII, demands the same colorblindness that the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause demands. Naturally, therefore, so too does Title VII.

The result: Fortune 100 CEOs are now “on notice of the illegality of racial quotas and race-based preferences in employment and contracting practices.” An employer’s subjective intent, whether invidious or purportedly benign, is irrelevant. Fortune 100 DEI commissars, consider yourselves warned.

Similarly, on Monday U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) sent a letter to 51 of the largest global and national law firms to put them on notice that the “same principles” the Court relied upon in SFFA and the “plain text” of both Title VI and Title VII “cover private employers” just as clearly as Chief Justice John Roberts held the Equal Protection Clause covers universities. Accordingly, Cotton, himself a lawyer and former Fifth Circuit law clerk, warned the Big Law juggernauts that “Congress will increasingly use its oversight powers — and private individuals and organizations will increasingly use the courts — to scrutinize the proliferation of race-based employment practices.” Cotton ended his missive by specifically flagging DEI programs, whether those operating at law firms’ corporate clients or in-house at law firms themselves, as implicating these same legal concerns.

The upshot could not be clearer: Following the legal triumph of genuine human “equality” and the defeat of vogue leftist notions of “equity” in SFFA, DEI apparatuses nationwide should tread extremely carefully. Better yet, leading state attorneys general and members of Congress will be watching corporate diversitycrats like a hawk, threatening to sue, investigate or subpoena them if they stray too far and engage in race-conscious hiring, firing or other personnel decisions. Considering that the entire raison d’etre of the DEI regime is to do precisely this, the Republican attorneys general and members of Congress should find themselves with an overabundance of possible legal targets.

Following the abolition of the affirmative action regime in SFFA, the Right must now prioritize the abolition of the DEI regime. The two regimes, after all, are but two sides of the same coin: Affirmative action and DEI both place a premium on something as arbitrary as one’s race, which Justice Clarence Thomas correctly noted in his SFFA concurring opinion is an artificial “social construct.”

Whatever DEI commissars’ subjective intentions may be, the truth is that America endured a bloody, horrible Civil War to definitively settle the question of whether race is inherently determinative (a la Chief Justice Roger Taney in the infamous Dred Scott case) or, per Thomas, a mere social construct. The answer provided by the tragic death of 618,000 Americans in the Civil War, to say nothing of America’s second founding via the Reconstruction Amendments and the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, is clear: Our nation is colorblind to its very core. Race, accordingly, is just what Thomas says it is: an artificial social construct.

DEI, like all other forms of race-centricity or race-consciousness, is cancerous to a free people. It must be destroyed.

Fox News Accused of Financially Supporting Far-Left Charities Such as Satanic Temple and Planned Parenthood, Whistleblowers Reveal | The Gateway Pundit

Source: Wikimedia Commons

Activist groups that have been seen to be detrimental to the interests and values of Fox News Corporation’s core conservative audience have allegedly received funding from the company, according to Blaze Media.

According to sources, two current Fox News employees and a former producer, Fox News has set up an internal portal app known as “Fox Giving,” which allows employees to donate to various charitable organizations, with the company matching donations up to $1,000.

Among the listed groups are the Satanic Temple, the Trevor Project, Planned Parenthood and its various branches, and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

The Satanic Temple, an atheistic organization known for its evil and unconventional activism, the Trevor Project, an LGBTQ+ advocacy group promoting gender ideology, Planned Parenthood, a pro-abortion organization and provider of cross-sex hormone therapy, and the SPLC, often critical of conservative groups.

Screenshots and testimonies provided by these sources have further confirmed the allegations.

Blaze Media’s head of programming, Rikki Ratliff-Fellman, personally witnessed the source accessing their company portal at Myfox.okta.com. This was done to validate the existence of the ‘giving’ app.

“I watched the source physically log in to their company portal at Myfox.okta.com to confirm the giving app and to see some of the questionable charities and the donation match option for myself to verify nothing was photoshopped,” he said.

One current employee turned-whistleblower told Blaze Media, “Fox pretends to care about Christians, but some of the stuff they push internally suggests otherwise. Glory holes, trans surgeries for kids, and potential donations to Satan are a huge slap in the face to every Christian at the company, and we resent it,” adding, “It offends me personally that this company acts like they support Christians and yet they’re literally willing to match $1,000 donation to the Satanic Temple.”

One ex-producer said that the situation “shows complete disregard and hatred for Fox’s core audience.”

“It became clear certain things weren’t going to be tolerated on air any more after Tucker was gone. We were told: Lay off Dylan Mulvaney,” said the former producer.

“Once I realized we couldn’t say certain things on air any more, I started to dig more into the reality of the corporate views.”

“It shows complete disregard and hatred for Fox’s core audience, which is a huge part of the country. They watch believing Fox is speaking for them, when in reality it’s a company participating in certain things that don’t match their audience’s values. [The disdain] is driven more by executives, lawyers, and HR than people realize, especially post-Dominion,” the former producer added.

More from the outlet:

Fox’s internal donation policy states: “FOX will not match or provide volunteering rewards to : -Donations to organizations that discriminate on the basis of a personal characteristic or attribute, including, but not limited to, age, disability, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity characteristics or expression, marital status, … pregnancy or medical condition either in its selection of recipients of the organization’s services, funds, or other support; in delivery of services; or in its employment practices.”

While Fox will apparently match donations to the Satanic Temple, the company further states it will not match or provide volunteering rewards to “donations made to organizations that are private and non-operating, or political, religious, or fraternal in nature.”

TheBlaze has reached out to Fox News for comment, but had yet to receive a response by the time of publication.

Hero: Biden Announces He Will Donate The Rest Of His Bribe Money To Charity | Babylon Bee

Article Image

WASHINGTON, D.C. — What a guy! As more evidence continues to emerge regarding Biden’s selling influence and favors to foreign governments for bribe money, The President has announced he will be selflessly donating the remainder of his bribe money to charity.

“Listen up, folks. Here’s the deal,” Biden said to reporters assembled at the White House, “I made a lot of money by taking bribes from other countries. It was entirely legal except for being totally illegal. To smooth things over, I’m going to give all the bribe money I have left over to a variety of charities. In return, those charities will do me favors. It’s a win-win. Noogardinbargits!”

The press pool then stood and cheered, impressed by Biden’s extremely generous act.

Though no official list has been released, the charities to which Biden plans on donating the bribe money include prominent left-wing causes, such as green energy and LGBTQ+ activist organizations. “It’s important to the President to give this dirty money to dirty organizations,” said White House gay black Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. “The original intent for this money was to facilitate underhanded, immoral acts, so giving it to these charities will be a way of continuing that legacy. This is truly a heroic move.”

When asked if his son, Hunter, will also be donating his bribe money to charity, Joe Biden replied, “Who’s Hunter?” The President was then whisked away for his mid-morning nap.

At publishing time, sources confirmed the Biden administration had decided to donate the entire sum to his son’s charity foundation.

Kiev has had no success with counteroffensive – Putin | RT – Daily news by RT

The Ukrainian military has lost tens of thousands of troops in its futile push against Moscow’s forces, the Russian president has said

Kiev has had no success with counteroffensive – Putin

The West is evidently disappointed that Kiev’s much-lauded counteroffensive has thus far failed to produce any results and has led to high levels of Ukrainian casualties, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.

Nothing has helped Ukraine, Putin stated during a government meeting on Friday. Kiev has received “colossal amounts of resources,” including all kinds of Western weapons and “thousands of foreign mercenaries and advisers,” but has still failed in its campaign, he added.

The leader praised the bravery, resolve, and professionalism of Russian soldiers and officers. He argued that Western military equipment had proven to be inferior in some ways even to Soviet-era weapons.

Western nations may supply more weapons to Ukraine, causing more damage to Russia and prolonging the conflict, but “NATO arsenals and stockpiles of old Soviet weapons in certain states are depleted to a certain degree,” Putin said. He claimed that Western military production cannot keep up with demand, while increasing it would require considerable time and investment.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has lost “tens of thousands of troops” in “suicidal attacks” against Russian defensive positions, Putin claimed. Kiev is running out of manpower despite “total mobilization raids on Ukrainian cities and villages,” he added. The Ukrainian people are increasingly asking themselves whose “selfish interests their family members are dying for,” Putin said.

The US is interested in weakening Europe by fanning the Ukrainian conflict, Putin claimed. The president suggested that European public opinion and even European elites are turning against the “endless waste of money and effort” on behalf of the interests of “the global hegemon across the ocean.”

The only parties interested in fueling the conflict in Ukraine are US elites and some Eastern European leaders who believe they can profit from it, Putin asserted. In Kiev, lawmakers see it as a chance “to save their skins” and are ready “to sell out everything, their people and their land,” the Russian leader argued.

Putin made the remarks as he chaired a meeting of the Russian Security Council.

“Once You Start Censoring, You’re On Your Way To Dystopia And Totalitarianism”, RFK Jr. Wrecks House Committee | ZeroHedge News

Authored by Michael Nevradakis,

In a hearing marred by contentious interruptions and attempts by House Democrats to remove him as a witness, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., CHD chairman on leave from Children’s Health Defense (CHD) testified before a U.S. House hearing organized by Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government.

The subcommittee, operating within the House Judiciary Committee, said today’s hearing was intended to “examine the federal government’s role in censoring Americans,” “Big Tech’s collusion with out-of-control government agencies to silence speech” and the ongoing Missouri v. Biden lawsuit alleging government censorship.

Other witnesses who testified today included D. John Sauer, special assistant attorney general for Louisiana, an attorney for the plaintiffs in the Missouri v. Biden case, Breitbart journalist Emma-Jo Morris, who in 2020 first revealed the now-infamous “Hunter Biden laptop story,” and Maya Wiley, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.

Government censorship and alleged First Amendment violations on the part of the federal government featured prominently in today’s hearing. “We need to be able to talk,” Kennedy told the committee. “And, the First Amendment was not written for easy speech. It was written for the speech that nobody likes you for.”

Morris testified about the threats to a free press, saying:

“What this relationship between the U.S,government officials and American corporations represent is, is an unprecedented push to undermine the First Amendment, the right to think, write, read, say whatever we want, and how we respond will determine whether we see a free press as inalienable or as optional.”

In his testimony, Sauer referred to the July 4 ruling by Judge Terry Doughty of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, which barred the White House and federal agencies from censoring social media posts. He said:

“The government likes to claim that social media platforms acting on their own would apply their policies and censor all this content. … The Louisiana Court found that the platforms would not have suppressed this speech, but for the fact that the federal officials were pushing for it.”

Calling the scope and reach of the federal censorship efforts “staggering,” Sauer added:

“Millions of social media posts and speakers [were censored] all across America. It affects virtually every American who reads, listens, engages, or posts on social media about great disputed political and social questions that federal censors have stuck their fingers into …. Federal officials’ censorship efforts are in full swing and they’re expanding to new frontiers.”

‘Attempt to censor a censorship hearing’

Efforts by Democrats to prevent Kennedy from testifying began earlier this week. On Monday, Reps. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) and Judy Chu (D-Calif.) sent a letter signed by 102 House Democrats to House Republican leadership, requesting they “rescind Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s invitation to testify.”

According to the letter:

“Mr. Kennedy has repeatedly attacked two groups that have long been subject to deadly discrimination. His own credibility as a witness is nonexistent. Allowing Mr. Kennedy to serve as a witness before the Select Subcommittee only services [sic] to legitimize his antisemitic and anti-Asian views,” the letter stated.

House Republican leadership rejected the request prior to the hearing. “The hearing that we have this week is about censorship,” House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) said. “I don’t think censoring somebody is actually the answer here.”

Kennedy, in response to the accusations levied against him, set aside his prepared testimony for the hearing. Referencing the letter, he told the committee, “The 102 people that signed this [is] itself evidence of the problem that this hearing was convened to address. This is an attempt to censor a censorship hearing.”

Comparing the efforts to the McCarthyism of the 1950s, Kennedy said he is being censored “through smears, through misinterpretations of what I’ve said, through lies, through association,” adding that “While I’m under oath, in my entire life I have never uttered a phrase that was either racist or anti-Semitic.”

Rep. Thomas Massey (R-Ky.), in an impromptu interview after the hearing, said:

“The irony and cognitive dissonance from the other side of the aisle, it’s deafening. You could cut it with a knife. They are at the same time denying that censorship is occurring, but suggesting that there’s more material that needs to be censored.”

Still, efforts to stop Kennedy’s testimony continued throughout the hearing. Wasserman Schultz requested a point of order, claiming that Kennedy was in violation of House Rule 11, Clause 2, because he “repeatedly made despicable anti-Semitic and anti-Asian comments.”

Wasserman said the rule bars testimony that “may tend to defame, degrade or incriminate any person.”

Following a motion by Massey to table the point of order, a roll-call vote was held, which passed 10-8 along party lines, enabling Kennedy’s testimony to continue.

But later in the hearing, Wasserman Schultz persisted, stating that “anti-Semitic incidents … are at the highest level in the United States since 1970. They have nearly tripled in the last six years [yet] you gave Mr. Kennedy a megaphone today.”

When Kennedy attempted to respond to Wasserman Schultz’s accusations, pointing out that he was describing a study funded by the National Institutes of Health and conducted by the Cleveland Clinic, she interrupted, saying she was “reclaiming” her allocated time to speak.

Republican members of the subcommittee later approved a motion to add the Cleveland Clinic study to the record. The study confirmed Kennedy’s claims about the SARS-CoV-2 virus, finding “unique genetic susceptibility across different populations in ACE2 and TMPRSS2,” particularly for the “African/African-American population.” These claims were the basis for labeling Kennedy “racist.”

In his opening statement, Jordan noted that the Biden administration’s censorship efforts began just hours after Biden took office in January 2021.

The first example cited by Jordan concerned White House efforts to censor a tweet by Kennedy earlier that month about the then-recent death of baseball legend Hank Aaron, less than two weeks after he publicly received the COVID-19 vaccine.

“What’s interesting about the email that the White House sent to Twitter,” Jordan said, “is the subject line says ‘Flagging Hank Aaron misinformation,’” referring to information released as part of the “Twitter files” in January.

“‘Misinformation’ is when you don’t have the facts right — you’re saying things that aren’t true,” Jordan said. “But when you look at Mr. Kennedy’s tweet, there was nothing in there that was factually inaccurate. And yet, the White House, on the third day [of the Biden administration], were trying to censor Mr. Kennedy.”

“The irony here is they are trying to censor the guy who’s actually their Democrat primary opponent,” Jordan added, referencing Kennedy’s presidential campaign.

Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) of the Judiciary Committee echoed Jordan’s statements. “It is for this that Mr. Kennedy finds himself receiving the scorn of both the political left and right, because if one dares challenge the orthodoxy of the powers that be, then one is their enemy.”

In her opening statement, Rep. Stacey Plaskett (D-V.I.), ranking member of the subcommittee, went on a prolonged attack of Kennedy and the subcommittee’s work.

“Why are we here? … Why are you having this hearing? What does this have to do with inflation? What does this have to do with the cost of living? What does this have to do with the everyday lives of Americans?” Plaskett asked the Republican members.

Referencing Kennedy’s presence as a witness, she asked “Why would the Republican leadership in the committee majority give a hearing and a platform to the witnesses, specifically to Mr. Kennedy, a man who has recently claimed that COVID-19 is targeted to attack Caucasians and Black people?”

Plaskett later claimed that the committee — and those questioning establishment narratives — were seeking to “bully” Big Tech.

“It’s clear that one aim of this investigation is to bully tech and media companies into turning a blind eye,” Plaskett said.

“When extremist conspiracies” are espoused, she said, such speech “violate[s] very basic terms of service about deliberate disinformation and promoting violence.”

Plaskett said the subcommittee’s investigation was intended to “force social media companies to promote conspiracy theories because they think that’s the only way their candidate can win the 2024 election,” via “bully[ing] experts … on disinformation” and giving “expression to the most vile sorts of speech.”

Plaskett also appeared to attack free speech more broadly.

“Many of my Republican colleagues across the aisle will rush to cover that they have Mr. Kennedy here because they want to protect his free speech, that they do not believe in American censorship,” Plaskett said. “This is not the kind of free speech that I know of, the free speech that is protected by the constitution’s First Amendment.”

“Free speech is not absolute,” she added. “The Supreme Court has stated [that] hateful, abusive rhetoric does not need to be promoted in the halls of the People’s House. ”

She also claimed Republicans were seeking to promote “quasi-science,” in reference to Kennedy’s views about COVID-19 vaccines and other topics.

“Even knowing what they know about Mr. Kennedy’s hateful, evidence-free rhetoric,” Plaskett claimed, “Speaker McCarthy and Jim Jordan affirmatively chose to give this a platform. They intentionally chose to elevate this rhetoric to give these harmful, dangerous views a platform in the halls of the United States Congress.”

Plaskett later claimed that Kennedy’s January 2021 tweet on Hank Aaron “has not been taken down,” and attacked CHD, implying Kennedy’s campaign receives funding from the organization and claiming it is “responsible for a majority of the false information about vaccines out there.”

Discovery in the Missouri v. Biden lawsuit revealed White House emails to Twitter requesting Kennedy’s tweet about Aaron be “removed ASAP.”

In her testimony, Wiley connected Kennedy and his alleged statements to violent race-based and religion-based attacks, alleging his supposed remarks “served to drive hate and bias … including violent incidents.”

Kennedy, repeatedly responded to claims of “anti-Semitism” and “racism,” stating that “What you have stated and tried to associate me with through guilt by association is simply inaccurate. All the things that I’m accused of right now by you and in this letter are distortions, misrepresentations.”

“These are defamations and malignancies that are used to censor me to prevent people from listening to the actual things that I’m saying,” Kennedy said.

“And I think … that we should have a real conversation rather than an exchange of ad hominem attacks.”

Kennedy called for unity instead of divisive rhetoric.

“We have to stop trying to destroy each other, to marginalize, to vilify, to gaslight each other. We have to find that place inside of ourselves, of a light, of empathy, of compassion. And above all, we need to elevate the Constitution of the United States, which was written for hard times,” he said.

Kennedy: ‘malinformation is information that is true but is inconvenient’

Responding to Plaskett’s claims that his Hank Aaron tweet was never censored, Kennedy said it had been, and that a new term, “malinformation,” was created soon after the Biden administration came into office, “to censor people like me.”

Kennedy said that his Instagram account had been banned despite containing “no misinformation,” but only content that “was cited and sourced,” including from “peer-reviewed publications or government databases.” Yet, he was “removed something called ‘malinformation.’”

He defined “malinformation” as “information that is true but is inconvenient to the government that they don’t want people to hear.”

Kennedy said this was “information that Facebook and Twitter and other social media sites understood was true, but that the White House and other federal agencies wanted censored anyway for political reasons, because it challenged official orthodoxies.”

Noting though that “it became more difficult for people to censor me outright” after he announced his presidential campaign, Kennedy said he is now “subject to this new form of censorship, which is called ‘targeted propaganda,’ where people apply pejoratives like ‘anti-vax’ … to silence me.”

As an example, Kennedy cited his inclusion in the so-called “Disinformation Dozen,” produced by the Center for Combating Digital Hate (CCDH). Stating that CCDH is “funded by dark money,” he said the White House based its request to social media companies to censor accounts on this list, and that those platforms complied.

Kennedy referenced further examples of censorship when responding to questions from the subcommittee’s members. Roy referenced a 2016 meeting Kennedy had with Anthony Fauci and other federal public health officials, where he requested evidence of any vaccine having undergone a placebo-controlled trial safety test prior to licensing.

According to Kennedy, Fauci and other officials “made a show” of searching for such information, then said it would be sent to him.

When it wasn’t, CHD filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, forcing the release of information showing HHS was not able to locate a single pre-licensing safety trial placebo control for any of the vaccines mandated for children.

Yet, such examples are used to brand him as an “anti-vaxxer,” Kennedy said.

“My views are constantly misrepresented,” Kennedy said.

“We’re not allowed to have a conversation about that with the American people, [that] vaccines should be tested with the same rigor as other medicines and medications.”

“Trusting the experts is not a function of science. It is not a function of democracy. It is a function of religion and totalitarianism, and it does not make for a healthier population,” he added.

Responding to another question by Roy as to whether “it is a proper function and role for Congress and for all of us to question” the government, Kennedy said “That is exactly the function that the United States Constitution is signed to the people of to the members of Congress.”

Later during the hearing, Kennedy said, “I think democracy is dependent on the free flow of information. And if that information is distorted, if the public has lied to, then it interferes with elections. And by the way, it interferes with public health.”

Kennedy added that “the Wall Street Journal did an article a couple of weeks ago suggesting that the censorship of important health information cost American lives.”

Referring to Plaskett’s claims that the subcommittee’s hearing was a distraction from issues concerning everyday Americans, such as inflation, Kennedy said that his April speech launching his presidential campaign was censored by YouTube when he discussed just these sorts of issues.

“I didn’t talk about vaccines in that speech,” he said.

“I didn’t talk about anything that was a verboten subject. I just was talking about my campaign and the conversation that we ought to be having with each other as Americans. But I was shut down.”

“That is why the First Amendment’s important debate, congenial, respectful debate is the fertilizer, it’s the water, it’s the sunlight for our democracy,” Kennedy added.

“This kind of division is more dangerous for our country than any time since the American Civil War,” Kennedy said.

“How do we deal with that? … Do you think you can do that by censoring people? I’m telling you, you cannot. That only aggravates and amplifies the problem.”

“We need to start being kind to each other,” Kennedy continued. “We need to start being respectful to each other. We need to start restoring the comity to this chamber and to the rest of America. But it has to start here.”

Notably though, Democrat members of the subcommittee directed few questions at Kennedy, instead preferring to question their own witness, Wiley. Chris D. Jackson, an election commissioner and former Democratic party chair from Tennessee, tweeted that this was intentional, “denying him the opportunity to respond.”

‘Federal censorship is ongoing and it shows no signs of relenting’

The ongoing Missouri v. Biden lawsuit was also a prominent part of today’s hearing. In his testimony, Sauer referred to the July 4 decision of a federal court issuing a temporary injunction against several federal agencies and members of the Biden administration, limiting their interaction with social media platforms.

While that decision repeatedly came under attack by Democrat members of the subcommittee, Sauer said the July 4 opinion granting the temporary injunction “contains 82 pages of detailed factual findings, supported by 577 citations of the evidence, which is drawn from roughly 20,000 pages of the federal government’s own emails and communications with social media platforms, and six full-length depositions.”

Sauer said that even though the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals “entered a temporary administrative stay of this injunction and granted expedited argument,” scheduled for August 10 — which he described as “routine practice in the Fifth Circuit,” he also said that “The government has hardly bothered to dispute any of [the] factual findings.”

He added that while it was social media platforms that censored the accounts of the “Disinformation Dozen” and other figures for questioning establishment narratives, “The Louisiana court found that the platforms would not have suppressed this speech” and “often true content.” However, “federal officials were pushing for it.”

Sauer added that “the scope and reach of federal censorship is staggering” and “affects … millions of social media posts and speakers … virtually every American who reads, listens, engages, or posts on social media about great disputed political and social questions that federal censors have stuck their fingers into.”

Moreover, Sauer said “federal censorship is ongoing and it shows no signs of relenting,” adding that “federal officials are most eager, most focused on silencing truthful speech.” If this is “left unchecked, federal censorship will reach virtually any disputed social and political question over which federal officials want to impose their power,” he said.

Referring to an earlier “Twitter files” release, Sauer said “federal officials are deeply intertwined with … the Censorship-Industrial Complex” between the federal government, social media platforms, and other nonprofit and academic organizations.

Sauer said that, as a result, “the federal censorship enterprise has succeeded in transforming online discourse by rendering entire viewpoints virtually unspeakable on social media,” including by “directly induc[ing] changes to the content moderation policies of major social media platforms to disfavor viewpoints in advance.”

He said the federal government has been able to accomplish this via both direct and indirect means, telling the subcommittee that “there’s several way you can violate the First Amendment if you’re a government official,” including “coercion,” “significant encouragement” and “joint participation, where you’ve insinuated yourselves into private decision-making,” adding that “all of those [were] present” in Louisiana v. Bauer.

Kennedy, who along with CHD is party to several lawsuits challenging alleged governmentBig Tech and media censorship, told the subcommittee:

“If a government can censor its critics, that’s a license for every atrocity. It is the beginning of totalitarianism. “

“Once you start censoring, you’re on your way to dystopia and totalitarianism.”

Bombshell Bribery Revelations Prompt Calls to Impeach Biden | Christian Research Network

(Matt Margolis – PJ Media) Joe Biden is once again facing calls for impeachment following the release of an unclassified FBI document detailing how he and his son Hunter Biden coerced the head of Burisma to pay them a bribe of $5 million each in exchange for pressuring the Ukrainian government to dismiss prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating the company for corruption.

According to the redacted FD-1023 form, which was released by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Burisma co-founder and CEO Mykola Zlochevsky told the FBI’s confidential human source (CHS) during an August 2016 meeting that “it cost 5 [million] to pay one Biden, and 5 [million] to another Biden.”…

Special agents use an FD-1023 form to record raw, unverified reporting from confidential human sources.

“Most corrupt family to ever live in the White House! Impeach!” Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) tweeted Thursday. View article →

“So Called” Journalism: NBC Calls The Two Respected IRS Veterans “So Called Whistleblowers” | ZeroHedge News

Authored by Jonathan Turley,

When IRS supervisory special agent Greg Shapley, and agent, Joe Ziegler, testified this week, most honest observers were struck by how they stuck to the details and the facts of their investigation.

Even in friendly questioning, they refused to make judgments about motivations or conclusions.

They were two of the most credible witnesses that I have seen on the hill.

They were also the prototypical whistleblowers, civil servants who tried to raise concerns over special treatment and political interference internally and only came to Congress after all such efforts failed. They were then both allegedly retaliated against by the Biden Administration.

Yet, in its coverage, NBC referred to the men as “so called whistleblowers.”

That was not the disparaging description given other such witnesses, including figures in the Trump impeachment.  They were just “whistleblowers” or “respected public servants.”

On Thursday’s broadcast of NBC’s “MTP Now,” NBC News Capitol Hill Correspondent Ali Vitali discussed the new release of the 1023 form “to bolster these investigations that we saw them do earlier this week with IRS so-called whistleblowers about Hunter Biden.”

Figures like Joe Scarborough on MSNBC joined in the disparagement.

In interviewing House Minority Whip Rep. Katherine Clark (D-MA)  who actually called the corruption investigation “dangerous,” Scarborough said “we have these so-called whistleblowers who are saying, yeah, we’re really angry … It’s just a clown show with these House Republicans, isn’t it?”

It was reminiscent of how Democrats attacked journalists who came forward to offer detailed records of censorship by the Biden Administration. Del. Stacey Plaskett, D-VI, the ranking member of the House Judiciary subcommittee, attacked the reporters appearing as witnesses as “so-called journalists” and said they were “a direct threat” to the safety of others by reporting the censorship story. Plaskett also later called for the possible arrest of Taibbi.

It is all part of an effort to attack the credibility of those who raise corruption or censorship. Even Special Counsel John Durham was warned by Rep. Steve Cohen that he would end up burning “at the bottom of a pyre” if he did not change his views of basis for the Russian collusion investigation.

I wrote years ago that the media had bought into the Biden spin of the corruption story to the point that they would have a difficult time to acknowledge the growing evidence of influence peddling and special dealing. Even after Joe Biden discussions of Hunter’s deals were revealed, the media continued to deny it.

Now, when two classic and credible whistleblowers come forward at great personal and professional risk, the media has to tag them with a “so called” pejorative reference.

What is left is so-called journalism where readers are given shaded and shaped accounts to advance a particular political narrative. It has the hallmarks of a new type of state media, where journalists follow an agenda not by coercion but consent.
