There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "…truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity–it is simply true and that is the end of it" – Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
Happy is the man that feareth alway. (Proverbs 28:14)
The fear of the Lord is the beginning and the foundation of all true religion. Without a solemn awe and reverence of God there is no foothold for the more brilliant virtues. He whose soul does not worship will never live in holiness.
He is happy who feels a jealous fear of doing wrong. Holy fear looks not only before it leaps, but even before it moves. It is afraid of error, afraid of neglecting duty, afraid of committing sin. It fears ill company, loose talk, and questionable policy, This does not make a man wretched, but it brings him happiness. The watchful sentinel is happier than the soldier who sleeps at his post. He who foreseeth evil and escapes it is happier than he who walks carelessly on and is destroyed.
Fear of God is a quiet grace which leads a man along a choice road, of which it is written, “No lion shall be there, neither shall any ravenous beast go up thereon.” Fear of the very appearance of evil is a purifying principle, which enables a man, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to keep his garments unspotted from the world. Solomon had tried both worldliness and holy fear: in the one he found vanity, in the other happiness. Let us not repeat his trial but abide by his verdict.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought.” Jeremiah 17:7-8
Thoughts on today’s verse
Trust. Can we trust in God? Is the Lord faithful? While we may wish to have been alive when Jesus walked the earth or Jeremiah spoke fearlessly God’s hard truth, we are especially blessed to be alive today. We stand at the end of an incredible stream of God work and know him to be profoundly faithful to his people. We can launch out into the future with boldness because we know, as Psalm 139 says, God is there!
Prayer:
Holy God, I know you are there! In the morning, in the evening, in the long nights, I know I am not alone. Thank you for knowing me and going with me through all my days. Please make your presence known to me this day as I seek to honor you in what I do and say. Through Jesus my Lord I ask this. Amen.
“Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5&6
Brandon Bee’s youngest son went through life-threatening surgery when he was only 6 months old.
Yet God used this challenging experience.
He enabled the young parents to minister to another couple with a child in ICU.
The other child was in a permanent coma. His life was supported by tubes and machines.
His parents had to decide whether to pull the plug.
But Brandon and his wife prayed faithfully for both children and encouraged the boy’s parents.
Dear one, you may be undergoing a life-changing trial.
Don’t give up on God. Go to Him in prayer. He knows the situation and will love you through it.
Like Brandon and his wife, look for opportunities to minister wherever God has placed you.
And here’s good news! The boy in the coma woke up!
Judgment Is Coming: Mistaking God’s Mercy For Inaction Be assured that what the Old and New Testaments refer to as “the day of the Lord” is coming. That means judgment is coming. Evil will be stopped in its tracks. And He won’t just stop part of it. He will stop all of it — including the evil which jaded humans have decided to stop calling evil.

Republicans: Testimony shows Hunter sold ‘Joe Biden brand’ around world to enrich family, calls for impeachment justified Both Republican and Democratic lawmakers inside the closed-door interview said Archer testified that over the span of 10 years, Hunter Biden put his father on the phone around 20 times while in the company of associates but “never once spoke about any business dealings.” Rep. Andy Biggs, a Republican member of the Oversight Committee, came out of the interview saying that testimony implicated the president directly.
Israel’s military intelligence warns Benjamin Netanyahu “The enemies see a historic opportunity in Israel’s crisis,” Israeli military intelligence (known by the acronym AMAN) warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. More than one tropical depression could form in Atlantic Ocean this week After a quick and rapid start to the Atlantic Hurricane season, there has been a slight lull in tropical activity in the Atlantic through much of the summer. In under a month’s time, the first three tropical storms of the season formed in the Atlantic: Arlene, Bret and Cindy. Cindy dissipated on June 26. Since then, only one tropical system has strengthened and traversed the basin. This storm, Don, not only became the next tropical storm, but also the first hurricane of the season. All of these storms formed ahead of the historical average, according to data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Here’s what caused Saturday’s destructive storms in the D.C. area Producing winds over 80 mph, the storms toppled trees onto buildings and cars, dislodged chimneys, tore down signs, peeled off roofs and cut power to more than 200,000 customers. Sections of Arlington and Northwest Washington, where thousands remain without power, were among the hardest hit.
Record-breaking rainfall leads to destructive flooding and two fatalities in Beijing, China The remnants of Typhoon “Doksuri” dropped record-breaking rainfall in China’s capital Beijing on July 30 and 31, 2023, leading to severe flooding. The historic rainfall measuring 687 mm (27 inches) over 48 hours resulted in at least two deaths and the evacuation of more than 50 000 people. This extreme rainfall event is still in progress.

Hunter Biden’s old business pal testified to Congress that the Biden “brand” was Hunter’s product.
Nate Jackson
Why did a middle-age man addicted to crack and prostitutes hold a seat on the boards of foreign energy companies? He was selling the Biden “brand.”
To sum it up, that’s the not-at-all-shocking takeaway from yesterday’s closed-door congressional testimony by former Hunter Biden associate Devon Archer. He told Congress that scandal-plagued and corrupt “Burisma would have gone out of business if ‘the brand’ had not been attached to it,” as summarized by House Oversight Chairman James Comer. Thanks to the Biden connection, “People would have been intimidated to mess with Burisma legally.”
Indeed, we already knew that then-Vice President Biden pressured former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma. Biden’s on video bragging as much.
We already knew that “all roads point to Joe Biden.” We expect when Comer releases the testimony transcript later this week we’ll see even more evidence of that.
What’s intriguing about Archer’s testimony, then, is that Republicans keep digging and finding more corroborating evidence of the sleazy operation run by the Biden Crime Family. Archer testified that Joe Biden joined at least 20 dinners or phone calls with Hunter and his business associates. As Comer explained, that “confirms Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he had no knowledge about his son’s business dealings and was not involved.”
In August 2019, Biden lied, “I have never discussed with my son or my brother or anyone else anything having to do with their business, period.”
Predictably, of course, Democrats who heard the same testimony are reading the same memo as the White House: admit nothing, deny everything, and make counterallegations.
According to Democrat Representative Dan Goldman, Joe didn’t talk about business (it was just “the weather,” honest), and sometimes he didn’t even know who he was talking to or why. So, what was it? Proof that the hostage was alive?
If the phone calls had happened last week, we’d probably believe that, but they were back before Biden’s dementia had clearly set in, when he held a position of power and influence in the Obama administration.
White House spokesman Ian Sams called it an “evidence-free wild goose chase” in which Republicans “keep failing to produce any” evidence.
None of that tops the musings of former Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill, though. Republicans, she insisted, “are going to try to indict a father for loving his son who has been addicted to drugs and/or alcohol, and without evidence of the father doing anything other than loving that son.”
Over the weekend, Biden’s Justice Department requested that U.S. District Judge Ronnie Abrams set a date for Archer to report to prison for unrelated crimes. The DOJ denies this, of course, but that news is clearly an effort to intimidate and discredit Archer.
That is, after all, the Biden Crime Family business. Well, that and lying to the American people.
NBC News concurs with the “no one can change their race” truth bomb, but gender is a different matter.
Emmy Griffin
NBC, the leftist news outlet, has declared something revolutionary: you can’t change your race. The article — written by “an intern for NBC News Digital” — details an online trend of people engaging in “race change to another” (RCTA). Another more common term for this transition is “transracialism.” Astute readers are left asking: Why can some people “change their gender” and be accepted and celebrated by the leftist overlords, and not those who want to “change their race”?
The obvious answer is that there is no such thing as transgenderism, transracialism, or any other form of delusion contrary to biology and truth. No one is the opposite gender of the body they were born in, just as no one can suddenly become another race.
NBC’s intern concurs with the “no one can change their race” truth bomb, but gender is a different matter. So close, yet so far away.
The writer first brings up the point that this RCTA trend is a social contagion for people who have a love for a specific culture. That love grows to an unhealthy level, and its sufferers will cosplay as the race of their choice. Interestingly enough, one of the experts, Korean American poet and media professor Margaret Rhee, described transracialism as problematic because it is a “fetishization or objectification” of various cultures. Rhee goes on to explain that specific cultures are fetishized for their “exotic characteristics but not really fully seen.”
NBC’s young sage seems to clearly understand that this concept is a sort of mania based on fetishization and objectification but ignores the exact same points when it comes to transgenderism. Transgenderism is also a social contagion (as proved by science) that attracts people who have various reasons for wanting to not be their biological sex anymore. The reasons include confusion brought about by the Left’s rigid gender stereotypes; a desire to fit in with their peers; escaping trauma such as rape or other violence; or an advanced stage of porn sickness called autogynephilia. Regardless of the reasons, people have been convinced that the “solution” to their problems is becoming the opposite sex from the one they are biologically, and they become more deeply invested as they “journey” to “transition” (i.e., transgenderism is also both a fetish and objectification, just of “gender”).
NBC also claims that race isn’t genetic. This is because that intern wants to make the point that race is a description of a collection of physical characteristics used to categorize people, but really it has more to do with oppression and victimhood than DNA. This isn’t accurate.
The victimhood hierarchy that leftists are so desperate to put forward is nonsense based not on facts but on Marxist ideology. More importantly, race is loosely defined by categorizing people by physical appearance. What determines that? DNA or genetic material. DNA dictates hair texture, eye shape, body build, and skin color. DNA also tracks genetic markers denoting specific races (such as African, Asian, European, etc.). It is entirely genetic. The funniest aspect of NBC’s Marxist argument is that it’s not nearly as strong as the biological one.
This poor intern’s own political biases, however, prevent her from using biological facts, and the very immutability of biology undermines the argument for transgenderism.
Finally, NBC claims that transracialism is pursued like a New Age religion. The article describes people who are racially confused as practitioners in manifesting. These people believe that if they have YouTube videos called subliminals playing while they are asleep, they can change their appearance. They believe it so fervently that they have convinced themselves that their features have altered somewhat.
Transgenderism is, likewise, a cult-like ideology that has its own sacraments like altering pronouns; cutting off anyone who doesn’t affirm them, especially family; and ultimately getting sucked down the medical rabbit hole of puberty blockers, hormones, and genital mutilation surgeries. Loyalty to this ideology is paramount. Those who dissent or detransition are heretics, so any form of violence and vitriol thrust their way is justified.
NBC’s hypocrisy is astonishing. The intern who wrote the article and the editors who reviewed and approved it are able to see that one trans is emphatically wrong and harmful, but not the other. Transracialism and transgenderism are both wrong. You cannot change your race or your sex. Because this is a fact, there is no such thing as trans. Period.
People who believe otherwise have been deceived, coerced, and/or taken advantage of because of a mental illness. They should be pitied but also released from their delusion. Until the concept of “trans” is completely rejected, more and more people will continue to fall into its various traps.

New regulations on fuel efficiency standards and tailpipe emissions are designed to force Americans into EVs.
Thomas Gallatin
The Biden administration is increasingly preventing Americans from enjoying the economic empowerment of a free market system as it continues its holy war against fossil fuels, all under the guise of “combatting climate change” by curbing and cutting carbon emissions. Net-zero carbon is the absurd pipe dream of a “bright” future.
Curbing carbon emissions has become the de facto justification for granting the Washington bureaucratic state an ever-more intrusive and controlling power over the everyday aspects of Americans’ lives. Regulators target everything from home appliances such as gas stoves and water heaters to the vehicles Americans drive.
Speaking of vehicles, two different agencies within the Biden administration are targeting gas-powered vehicles with new regulations that are clearly intended to force auto manufacturers into producing primarily electric vehicles, and thus force consumers into purchasing more expensive vehicles that continue to have at least one glaring drawback — they lack the freedom of mobility of gas-powered vehicles.
The two agencies in question are the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The NHTSA just proposed stricter fuel economy standards for new vehicles beginning in 2027. Team Biden will require automakers to improve fuel efficiency for cars by 2% year over year until 2032 and by 4% for light trucks over that same time span. Pete Buttigieg’s Transportation Department boasts that this new rule will prevent the release of some 900 million tons of carbon emissions.
Back in April, the EPA proposed another fossil-fuel-squelching regulation aimed at the auto manufacturing industry, this one targeting tailpipe pollutants. Since the EPA cannot directly mandate what types of vehicles automakers manufacture, the Biden administration has instead sought to impose increasingly steep standards in an effort to price gas-powered vehicles out of the market.
As West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey contends, “This administration is hell bent on destroying America’s energy security and independence by making us dependent on resources and components that can come only from abroad.” A great deal of the raw material for batteries, for example, comes from China.
Proving that ideology is running the show rather than sound scientific reality, the Biden administration simply ignores the lack of infrastructure in place to be able to meet the growing demand for electricity across the nation’s power grid. That lack of overall infrastructure includes too few available charging stations to meet the growing demand of an increasing number of EVs on the road. All the ecofascists care about is the pipe dream of reaching “net zero” carbon emissions, no matter how disruptive it is to Americans’ lives.
Meanwhile, the auto industry is trying to meet the Biden administration’s increasingly onerous demands, while at the same time facing the reality that EV sales, while slowly increasing, still made up less than 6% of all vehicle sales in 2022. For Ford, that reality — along with losing $4.5 billion on EVs this year — is why the company recently announced that it’s pushing its total target for the number of EVs produced back at least another year.
Much of the reason for poor sales has to do with the high cost of EVs, which averages $55,000. Indeed, it is also thanks to EVs that gas-powered vehicles have been increasing in cost, as the federal government has put its thumb on the scales, which has artificially raised the cost of gas-powered vehicles in order to offset the cost of EVs. And now everyone is losing, including the planet.
Even if you hate cigars or smoking in general, we should all recognize the danger of letting unelected bureaucrats make these decisions.
Stephen Moore
What is it with the Left that they want to ban nearly everything that is fun or convenient? Gas stoves, dishwashers, plastic straws, gas cars, snowmobiles and diving boards. And now the health busybodies want to ban certain cigars.
Recently, a gang of senators led by Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) wrote a letter to Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Robert Califf urging the agency to ban (or heavily regulate) flavored cigar sales. Under pressure from the health lobby, the FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products said it’s primed to take action in the weeks ahead. They say underage teenagers are smoking these cigars and are at risk of becoming addicted.
This makes as much sense as banning scotch because kids might smuggle a bottle from Dad’s liquor cabinet, or outlawing R-rated movies because 14-year-olds occasionally sneak into the theater.
In 2009, Congress and President Barack Obama enacted the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act to give the federal government the tools it needs to keep cigarettes, vapes and other addictive tobacco substances out of our children’s hands. Now, however, the FDA is using this authority to advance its political agenda in ways that exceed the original intent and purpose of the legislation.
The notion that the FDA needs to act to stop teenagers from smoking flavored cigars is simply not true.
Youth smoking of cigars, including flavored cigars, has plummeted to historic lows over the years. The FDA should know these statistics because they were the ones who funded the definitive study published by The New England Journal of Medicine. This study analyzed the tobacco use of 13,651 children, from 12 to 17 years old, and it shows that only 2.3% had ever smoked a traditional cigar, and less than 1% (0.7%) had tried one within the past 30 days. That’s hardly an epidemic of cigar-smoking youngsters.
Last year, a federal judge ruled the FDA’s decision to try to regulate premium cigars was “arbitrary and capricious” because the agency failed to acknowledge data that these products are not used by youth and, due to their usage patterns, have very different health risks. This verdict from the court, questioning the scientific basis of the FDA’s actions, makes the agency’s insistence on finalizing its flavored cigar rule by the fall even more questionable.
What is clear is we have here a case of regulatory overreach by a nonelected federal bureau. Back in 2009, opponents of the new law warned that the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act would become a slippery slope toward bans on smoking products even for adults. The bill’s advocates promised on a stack of Bibles that the law wouldn’t interfere with adults’ freedom to choose; rather, it would merely keep minors from smoking.
We now learn that this was a classic bait-and-switch move by the anti-smoking brigades. The anti-smoking lobby in Congress assigned new powers to regulators and the advocates all along, knowing this day of a ban would be coming.
I should say that I don’t smoke — except on very rare occasions, such as at a wedding. But even if you hate cigars or smoking in general, we should all recognize the danger here of letting unelected bureaucrats make these decisions. Who are they accountable to?
If Congress wants to ban vaping, smoking or certain types of cigars, they should vote on it. I suspect that few members of Congress would dare vote to outlaw cigars. It would create such a backlash from people who enjoy smoking that many in Congress would be tossed out of office.
What is doubly ironic and hypocritical here is that the real health hazard to America’s youth is the proliferation of toxic drugs — from fentanyl to opioids to cocaine. Abuse of these drugs has made drug overdoses a leading cause of death for Americans under 18. What is Congress’ reaction to that genuine killer epidemic?
Not a thing. They do nothing to stop the drug runners from crossing the border with their addictive and dangerous arsenal. They slap the wrists of the offenders when they are caught. Where is the FDA’s campaign to stop the killing? Flavored cigars aren’t good for our children, but they don’t turn our children into zombies or corpses.
If the FDA wants to improve public health, it could save tens of thousands of lives by speeding up the drug approval process so we can win the race to cure cancer, heart disease, epilepsy and diabetes. Let parents regulate what their teenagers are doing.
Several factors have driven the increase in workers, but Joe Biden has no room for boasting.
Michael Swartz
The current occupant of the White House has claimed the job market is booming and that he’s created more jobs than previous occupants of the office. Given that he took over at a time when we were climbing out of a pandemic-induced hole, he can cherry-pick and fool some folks. But the real question is why people are returning to work.
A recent piece in The Wall Street Journal could have part of the answer: “The labor-force participation rate for prime-age women was the highest on record, 77.8% in June. That is well up from 73.5% in April 2020.” That timing is important because, as the WSJ noted earlier this year: “The onset of Covid-19 and social-distancing measures in early 2020 struck female-dominated jobs in services that require close personal contact, such as housekeepers, nurses and daycare instructors. Many mothers in white-collar jobs also left the workforce to care for their children after schools moved to remote instruction.”
Now they’re back, and they’re joined by enough men to finally bring the total number employed to roughly pre-pandemic levels, adjusted for population growth.
The aspect of population growth is the subject of yet another WSJ editorial. The Journal’s editors argue that, due to declining birth rates among American women of child-bearing age, we need to import our future workforce. Claiming we may need as many as six million foreign-born workers by 2040 to make up for a lack of domestic-born working-aged people, the editorial helpfully adds that half our job growth between January 2021 and May 2023 came from an influx of foreign workers.
The WSJ piece leans heavily on research by Madeline Zavodny, a Research Fellow at the National Foundation for American Policy, a pro-immigration Beltway think tank. In the executive summary of her report, Zavodny contends: “Without continued net inflows of immigrants, the U.S. working-age population will shrink over the next two decades and by 2040, the United States will have over 6 million fewer working-age people than in 2022. Announcements of high-profile layoffs and concerns about the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) obscure America’s continuing need for additional workers at the top and bottom of the skill distribution. International migration is the only potential source of growth in the U.S. working-age population in the coming years.”
Yet here we are, dealing with an influx of foreign workers who come without permission thanks to the open-border policy of the Biden administration. Unfortunately, they seem to be concentrated at the bottom of the “skill distribution,” which denies opportunities to the few younger workers we have entering the job market.
Finally, there’s simple Bidenomics. Overall employment rolls are filling in part because families are trying to keep up with inflation. The double-digit increase in prices since the opening days of the Biden regime has taken its toll on family budgets, certainly forcing some moms who were previously happy to stay home and take care of the kids into the job market. Obviously, that would cause their labor force participation number to spike.
It’s hard enough to predict what will happen next week in America, let alone the employment market in 17 years. While it’s good that more Americans are working, the real key is allowing them to prosper while doing it. Thanks to the not-so-enlightened statesmen at the helm, that’s where we are sorely lacking right now.
Biden won’t move U.S. Space Command to Huntsville, criminal referral of Fauci, high school boys trend conservative, and more.
Thomas Gallatin & Jordan Candler
Cross-Examination
Earth to Joe: In a clearly politically calculated retaliation against Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville for his holding the line against Joe Biden’s unilateral decision to use taxpayer dollars to fund abortion in the military, Biden announced that he will not move the U.S. Space Force Command to Huntsville, Alabama, from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Biden denies this was the motive, but his denial is about as believable as his claims of having nothing to do with his son’s business dealings. Furthermore, back before the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the Biden administration was fully on board with placing U.S. Space Force Command in Huntsville. As Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby stated in early 2021, “[Defense] Secretary [Lloyd] Austin has communicated to Air Force leaders that he supports their decision-making process about the preferred location of Space Command headquarters.” The plan has been aborted.
Paul’s criminal referral of Fauci: Senator Rand Paul may end up getting the last laugh in his feud with former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci. Paul announced that he has issued an “official criminal referral” of Fauci to the Justice Department related to his denial and attempt to cover up the fact that the NIH was involved in funding gain-of-function research at the bio lab in Wuhan, China. Paul argues that discovered emails show Fauci’s testimony before Congress denying NIH involvement in gain-of-function research was “absolutely a lie.”
Biden’s dim-bulb regulation: Thomas Edison’s lightbulb is no more, as the Biden administration’s new regulation banning the sale of incandescent lightbulbs goes into effect today. The new rule was announced by the Department of Energy last April under the guise of cutting carbon emissions by some 222 metric tons over the next 30 years. While more expensive but longer-life and more energy-efficient LED lighting now accounts for the vast majority of lightbulb sales, incandescent bulbs still accounted for 30% of sales in 2022.
Gatekeepers defend “chestfeeding”: The “fact-checking” site PolitiFact once again exposed itself as nothing but a propaganda shill for the radical Left. In a recent “fact-check” aimed at defending the Left’s radical gender-bending ideology (a.k.a. “transgenderism”), PolitiFact staff writer Grace Abels asserted that the made-up term “chestfeeding” was perfectly appropriate for “people who identify as men or as nonbinary.” PolitiFact was responding to the deserved criticism the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention received for replacing the word “breastfeeding” with the wholly made-up term “chestfeeding.” Abels defended the term as “gender-neutral” and “used by some transgender and nonbinary dads when nursing their newborns.” Furthermore, the term “breastfeeding … may cause gender dysphoria, which can exacerbate mental health challenges such as anxiety and depression,” Abels asserted without evidence. “Additionally, trans men who have had ‘top surgery’ may not have breasts.” In keeping with the spirit of PolitiFact’s argument, we have taken the liberty to rename the “fact-checking” organization “PolitiFalse,” as that name more faithfully captures the actual nature of the organization that bars the gate for millions of Americans to speak truth on social media.
Drag show regulations underwhelm: The attempt of several conservative states to crack down on drag shows has been met with a litany of legal roadblocks. The aim of these Republican-run states is to protect children from the perverse sexualized gender-bending indoctrination of the Rainbow Mafia. However, in states like Montana and Tennessee, laws passed forbidding access to minors for these drag shows have been blocked by the courts. The problem has to do with the issue of free speech protections and what constitutes “entertainment.” Popular TV shows like “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” which has been aired for nearly 15 years, make the argument against public drag show performances more difficult to make. Further complicating the issue is that these public drag show performances are done by individuals who are generally fully clothed, so laws against public nudity, for example, don’t apply. In the case of Drag Queen Story Hour, while these gender-bending individuals are engaged in dressing garishly as the opposite sex, they are generally not performing any sexually explicit dancing. And the sad fact is that in most cases, it’s parents who are choosing to bring their children to expose them to this deviant gender-bending ideology.
Good news: High school boys trend conservative: An annual survey of high school students’ political views conducted by Monitoring the Future found that the majority of senior boys who espoused a political perspective identified as conservative. Indeed, since 2000 the trend has shown an increasing percentage of high school boys identifying as conservative. Meanwhile, the opposite has been trending among high school girls, who are increasingly identifying as liberal. Either way, a majority of high school students both male and female eschew embracing any political affiliation or identity.

MinistryWatch ( MW) profiles public charities, church, and parachurch ministries. According to their profile, they are an “independent donor advocate facilitating the information needs of donors.” They provide ” information on organizations alleging to be charitable and its key leadership in order to identify materially misleading behavior, or wasteful spending practices” as well as the ministries that are running well.
They recently compiled a list of the largest media ministries using Form 990, which most reputable ministries fill out that offers a breakdown of their finances. Despite the general compliance, many ministries have no interest in sharing this material or revealing how much they’re really bringing in, particularly those who preach the prosperity gospel.
“MinistryWatch has identified a growing trend among Christian ministries to identify as churches and thereby withhold their Form 990s. Many of these organizations have a significant media presence. Indeed, some of them are primarily media organizations. They include; Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn, Creflo Dollar, and Kenneth Copeland. They should likely be on this list, but we have no way of accurately evaluating them.
The top ministry is CBN, which brought in nearly $318M. However, this is down substantially from the $391M they brought in last year. EMF stayed in second, gaining $30M. Charles Stanley’s In Touch Ministries gained two spots, bringing in $133M compared to last year’s $97M, and TBN, which hosts the world’s heretics, false teachers, and sheep fleecers, brought in $121M, a huge gain against the 81M they did last year.
John MacArthur’s Grace To You is flat with $37M, Ligonier Ministries brought in $27M, and Alistair Begg brought in $20M.
As COVID-19 cases have been rising in recent weeks, experts continue to debate the origin of the pandemic. But there’s no debating the origin of this frightening story: authorities have been investigating an unlicensed lab in Fresno County, California, where the CDC found at least twenty potentially infectious agents, including coronavirus, HIV, hepatitis, and herpes.
Making the story even more disturbing: the biotech company reportedly has ties to China. Officials would not have known about the lab but for a code enforcement officer who was driving down the street and noticed a garden hose protruding from a building where it should not have been. So we are left to wonder if similar labs are in operation around the country.
To place this threat in context: a combined biological and cyber attack could be the weapon of choice in the next world war. This according to Richard A. Muller, professor of physics emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley, whose article in the Wall Street Journal is alarmingly titled “World War III Will Be Fought With Viruses.” In it he explains how a nation could weaponize and covertly release a deadly virus, then release covert cyberattacks on hospitals and other infrastructure to maximize the damage of the spreading disease.
Dr. Muller published his article on July 6, three weeks before we learned that China has hidden malicious computer code inside networks controlling America’s power grids, communication systems, and water supplies. Then comes news of an unlicensed biotech lab with infectious agents and reported ties to China.
Given the dangers posed by the rise of Chinese aggression, the threat of Russian nuclear weapons in Ukraine, the growing risk of cyberattacks, and the possibility of another pandemic or terror attack, it is unsurprising that counselors say we are “living through one of the most stressful periods in American history.” In fact, a poll conducted by the American Psychiatric Association showed that 70 percent of US adults feel anxious or extremely anxious about keeping themselves or their families safe today.
In such anxious times, why are so many Americans opting out of church?
Jake Meador, editor in chief of the online magazine Mere Orthodoxy, reports in the Atlantic: “Participation in a religious community generally correlates with better health outcomes and longer life, higher financial generosity, and more stable families—all of which are desperately needed in a nation with rising rates of loneliness, mental illness, and alcohol and drug dependency.”
And yet, he notes, forty million Americans have stopped attending church in the last twenty-five years, representing the largest concentrated change in church attendance in American history. Part of the reason is tragic: clergy abuse scandals have driven many victims away from the church.
But Meador, citing research in The Great Dechurching by pastor Jim Davis and writer Michael Graham, observes: “The defining problem driving out most people who leave is just how American life works in the twenty-first century. Contemporary America simply isn’t set up to promote mutuality, care, or common life. Rather, it is designed to maximize individual accomplishment as defined by professional and financial success.”
As a result, Meador writes: “Such a system leaves precious little time or energy for forms of community that don’t contribute to one’s own professional life or, as one ages, the professional prospects of one’s children. Workism reigns in America, and because of it, community in America, religious community included, is a math problem that doesn’t add up.”
“Glad and generous hearts”
The first Christians modeled the kind of community Americans desperately need: “Day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved” (Acts 2:46–47).
I have witnessed similar community in Cuba, where church members depend on each other for food, medicine, and other basic necessities and for support and solidarity in their daily lives. I saw the same in East Malaysia, where I served one summer as a missionary, and in other locales I have visited in the Muslim world.
Here’s what these churches, ancient and contemporary, had in common: they knew they needed each other. Facing a Roman Empire bent on exterminating their movement, a Communist government antagonistic to their faith, or religious authorities seeking to oppress their beliefs and people, they knew that they could depend only on their Lord and each other.
Given the materialistic success of American society, as Jake Meador notes, many of us don’t believe we need what Christian community offers. We are not willing to make the investment of time and passion such community requires.
And so we feel isolated and lonely, because we are.
“The invisible made visible”
Let me be blunt: Western culture, with its insistence on individual status and achievement, is lying to you. Its roots lie in ancient Greek philosophy, not biblical revelation. In the words of the atheist Jean-Paul Sartre, one of existentialism’s most famous proponents: “Things are entirely what they appear to be—and behind them . . . there is nothing.” (We should not be surprised that the novel in which these words appear is titled Nausea.)
The biblical truth is, you were not created to do life on your own. You were designed to need an intimate daily relationship with your Designer and the community he designed for you. Chuck Colson was right: “The life function of [the local church] is to love the God who created it—to care for others out of obedience to Christ, to heal those who hurt, to take away fear, to restore community, to belong to one another, to proclaim the Good News while living it out. The church is the invisible made visible.”
G. K. Chesterton noted: “We do not want a church that will move with the world. We want a church that will move the world.”
President Trump confronts Joe Biden at presidential debate about family influencing peddling scandals.
Back in September 2020, President Trump confronted Joe Biden at the first presidential debate stage about his son Hunter’s $3.5 million bribe from the Mayor of Moscow’s wife.
President Trump: China ate your lunch, Joe. And no wonder your son goes in and he takes out, he takes out billions of dollars. Takes out billions of dollars to manage. He makes millions of dollars. And also while we’re at it, why is it just out of curiosity, the mayor of Moscow’s wife gave your son three and a half million dollars. What did he do to deserve it? What did he do with Burisma to deserve $180,000?
Joe Biden lied in response,
Joe Biden: “None of that is true. None of that is true.”
Hack reporter Chris Wallace then interrupted Trump and jumped in to assist Joe Biden offering him the stage.
Chris Wallace: Now, Mr. President. Mr. President, please, you asked a question.
Joe Biden then lied to the country.
Joe Biden: Totally discredited… That is not true.
The accusations were ignored or excused by the legacy mainstream media like The Washington Post – the paper that seems to have the knack of being wrong about everything!
Less than 50 days before the 2020 presidential election, the Republican staff of the Senate Finance and Homeland Security committees issued a joint report with a startling claim — that Joe Biden’s son Hunter had received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina, a Russian billionaire and the widow of the former mayor of Moscow.
Trump quickly weaponized the factoid, mentioning it 42 times in the final weeks of the campaign. He sharply questioned Biden during the first presidential debate: “They were the ones involved with Russia, turns out not me, it was the opposite. But why did your son get three and a half million from the wife of the mayor of Moscow?”
An attorney for Hunter Biden denied the allegation in 2020 but it has lived on, especially in the right-wing media. Recently Trump called on Putin to reveal what he knows about it.

Then on Monday Devon Archer set the record straight.

On Monday, Hunter Biden’s best friend and business associate, Devon Archer, testified that Joe Biden met with Russia’s Yelena Baturina who later invested into $40 million into Hunter Biden’s real estate ventures. And she also paid Hunter Biden $3.5 million in consulting fees.

Hunter Biden’s real estate company received a $40million investment from a Russian oligarch, new emails reveal.
The relationship between the president’s son and Yelena Baturina, the billionaire widow of a corrupt Moscow mayor, has already been flagged as alarming by a Senate report after she mysteriously wired $3.5million to a company linked to Hunter.
Baturina’s brother Viktor Baturin told DailyMail.com the money was ‘a payment to enter the American market.’
But DailyMail.com can now reveal that Hunter’s financial relationship with Baturina was far more extensive, with her firm investing $40million in a real estate venture by Hunter’s company Rosemont Realty.
In 2012 Hunter’s firm had a $69.7million plan to invest in 2.15million sq ft of office space in seven US cities.
Documents outlining the plan said the money came from a mix of investors, including $40million from Inteco Management AG, a Swiss company owned by Baturina.
The Inteco group is a plastics and construction behemoth that made Baturina the richest woman in Russia at the time. She has a current net worth of $1.4billion according to Forbes.

There are several videos in this piece that are helpful in understanding the Biden family influence peddling that Hunter’s business associate Devon Archer exposed. Jonathan Turley and Jesse Watters nail it — Jesse lays out all the facts in a clear concise way. The videos are short. Here’s Whatfinger’s report:
Mollie Hemingway and Miranda Devine discuss Devon Archer confirming President Joe Biden participated in over twenty calls about his son’s foreign business dealings. “We have Devon Archer saying that Burisma executives asked Hunter Biden to help them get the prosecutor who was going after them fired. We know that five days later, Joe Biden was speaking in front of the Ukrainian parliament, laying the groundwork to get this guy fired. And then as you showed, he bragged about getting it done within just a few short months. This teaches us so much about how the Biden family business worked for foreign oligarchs.
And Ukraine is just one example. It’s also Romania and China and Russia paid millions of dollars to the Biden family for just this type of action.” Hunter Biden sold access as an unregistered foreign lobbyist, using Joe Biden’s political influence to receive millions from foreign nationals in countries where his father was responsible for US foreign policy. The entire Biden business model violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act, which the Justice Department recently used to indict a Biden corruption whistleblower involved with the same CEFC China Energy as Hunter Biden. What’s more destructive to our nation than a politicized Justice Department that applies different legal standards depending on whether one’s last name is Trump or Biden? View article →

Hunter Biden, 53, has been accused of misleading Judge Maryellen Noreika of the Delaware district during a plea hearing last week.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Judge Noreika had rejected the shameless sweetheart plea deal for Hunter Biden. The plea deal had covered Biden’s tax issues from 2014 to 2019, drug use, and a gun charge that were to be pled as two misdemeanors for the tax charges and a diversion on the gun charge.
During the hearing, Judge Noreika inquired Hunter Biden about his professional credentials and current bar standing.
“You’re member of the bar?” Noreika asked.
“Yes, Your Honor,” Hunter said. “District of Columbia & Connecticut, Your Honor.”
NEW: Hunter Biden lied to judge Maryellen Noreika under oath by claiming that he was a member of the Connecticut bar according to the Daily Mail.
"You're member of the bar?" Noreika asked.
"Yes…" Hunter said. "District of Columbia & Connecticut."
Connecticut records, however, reveal that Biden was suspended from practicing law in the state over two years ago due to non-payment of his $75 annual fees since 2018 and he has not been reinstated.
The Connecticut Judicial Branch spokesperson confirmed that Biden is “currently not in good standing.”
The discrepancy was initially spotted by Connecticut lawyer and columnist Kevin Rennie, who brought attention to the matter on his blog, Daily Ructions.
The outlet reported:
Biden, according to Judicial Branch spokesperson Melissa Farley in a Friday morning statement, “is currently not in good standing due to Attorney Biden’s failure to register or comply with the Statewide Grievance Committee’s [Minimum Continuing Legal Education] requirement since 2018…and to pay the Client Security Fund fee for 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022….” No disciplinary action has been taken.
Robert Hunter Biden, a Yale Law School graduate, was admitted to practice in Connecticut in 1997. Like other lawyers admitted in the state, Biden is required to make an annual $75.00 payment to the Client Security Fund. The fund is “established by the rules of the Connecticut Superior Court to provide reimbursement to individuals who have lost money or property as a result of the dishonest conduct of an attorney practicing law in the State of Connecticut, in the course of the attorney-client relationship.”
Unlike other Connecticut lawyer-related fees, the Client Security Fund fee is imposed on “each judge, judge trial referee, state referee, family support magistrate, family support referee and administrative law judge.” According to the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch website, “An attorney is not exempt from the fee because he or she practices out of state, or because he or she does not actively practice law. Only those attorneys who have retired, resigned, who have served on active duty in the armed forces of the United States for a period of more than six months during the calendar year, or who have been disbarred, are exempt from payment of the fee.”
The fee may be paid online. The Judicial Branch provides at least one email reminder to lawyers that the $75.00 fee is due each year on or before June 15th.
Courtesy of Kevin Rennie (Daily Ructions)
In a conversation with Daily Mail, Rennie, a former state legislator who voted for Biden in 2020, called Hunter’s statement to the judge “extraordinary” and claimed that Biden “misled the court”.
“I’m careful about using the word ‘lie’ because I don’t know what was in his head. But he certainly should have known better,” he said.
“A lawyer who is asked under oath where he is admitted to practice and does not include in his response that he is suspended from practice in one of them has misled the court,” he added.
“‘He did not give her an answer that, I think most judges would see under these circumstances, was in good faith. It omitted crucial facts.”
“Clearly he thought he was admitted to the practice in Connecticut. He ought to know, after 26 years, that certain obligations come with that. And they are by no means onerous,” said Rennie.
“It’s only $75,’ Rennie told Daily Mail, adding, ‘The Judicial Branch, they’re very good about reminding people that they need to pay by June 15. So I was surprised.”
“I was also surprised that given what we all assume he’s paying in legal fees, that someone at the law firm representing him would have just checked the box to make sure everything was as it should be – such as ‘You paid the $75, didn’t you?”
Contrarily, his registration with the Washington, D.C. bar indicates that he is currently in good standing there.
