There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "…truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity–it is simply true and that is the end of it" – Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
What is lordship salvation? Does a person have to submit to Jesus’ lordship to be saved?
The doctrine of lordship salvation teaches that submitting to Christ as Lord goes hand-in-hand with trusting in Christ as Savior. Lordship salvation is the opposite of what is sometimes calledeasy-believismor the teaching that salvation comes through an acknowledgement of a certain set of facts.
John MacArthur, whose bookThe Gospel According to Jesuslays out the case for lordship salvation, summarizes the teaching this way: “The gospel call to faith presupposes that sinners must repent of their sin and yield to Christ’s authority.” In other words, a sinner who refuses to repent is not saved, for he cannot cling to his sin and the Savior at the same time. And a sinner who rejects Christ’s authority in his life does not have saving faith, for true faith encompasses a surrender to God. Thus, the gospel requires more than making an intellectual decision or mouthing a prayer; the gospel message is a call to discipleship. The sheep will follow their Shepherd in submissive obedience.
Advocates of lordship salvation point to Jesus’ repeated warnings to the religious hypocrites of His day as proof that simply agreeing to spiritual facts does not save a person. There must be a heart change. Jesus emphasized the high cost of discipleship: “Whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:27), and “Those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples” (verse 33). In the same passage, Jesus speaks of counting the cost; elsewhere, He stresses total commitment: “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God” (Luke 9:62).
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says that eternal life is anarrow pathfound by “only a few” (Matthew 7:14); in contrast, easy-believism seeks to broaden the path so that anyone who has aprofession of faithcan enter. Jesus says that “every good tree bears good fruit” (verse 17); in contrast, easy-believism says that a tree can still be good and bear nothing but bad fruit. Jesus says that many who say “Lord, Lord” will not enter the kingdom (verses 21–23); in contrast, easy-believism teaches that saying “Lord, Lord” is good enough.
Lordship salvation teaches that a true profession of faith will be backed up by evidence of faith. If a person is truly following the Lord, then he or she will obey the Lord’s instructions. A person who is living in willful, unrepentant sin has obviously not chosen to follow Christ, because Christ calls us out of sin and into righteousness. Indeed, the Bible clearly teaches that faith in Christ will result in a changed life (2 Corinthians 5:17;Galatians 5:22–23;James 2:14–26).
Lordship salvation is not a salvation-by-works doctrine. Advocates of lordship salvation are careful to say that salvation is by grace alone, that believers are saved before their faith ever produces any good works, and that Christians can and do sin. However, true salvation will inevitably lead to a changed life. The saved will be dedicated to their Savior. A true Christian will not feel comfortable living in unconfessed, unforsaken sin.
Here are nine teachings that set lordship salvation apart from easy-believism:
1) Repentance is not a simple synonym for faith. Scripture teaches that sinners must exercise faith in conjunction with repentance (Acts 2:38;17:30;20:21;2 Peter 3:9). Repentance is a change of mind from embrace of sin and rejection of Christ to a rejection of sin and an embrace of Christ (Acts 3:19;Luke 24:47), and even this is a gift of God (2 Timothy 2:25). Genuine repentance, which comes when a person submits to the lordship of Christ, cannot help but result in a change of behavior (Luke 3:8;Acts 26:18–20).
2) A Christian is a new creation and cannot just “stop believing” and lose salvation. Faith itself is a gift of God (Ephesians 2:1–5,8), and real faith endures forever (Philippians 1:6). Salvation is all God’s work, not man’s. Those who believe in Christ as Lord are saved apart from any effort of their own (Titus 3:5).
3) The object of faith is Christ Himself, not a promise, a prayer, or a creed (John 3:16). Faith must involve a personal commitment to Christ (2 Corinthians 5:15). It is more than being convinced of the truth of the gospel; it is a forsaking of this world and a following of the Master. The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27).
4) True faith always produces a changed life (2 Corinthians 5:17). The inner person is transformed by the Holy Spirit (Galatians 2:20), and the Christian has a new nature (Romans 6:6). Those with genuine faith—those who are submitted to the lordship of Christ—follow Jesus (John 10:27), love their brothers (1 John 3:14), obey God’s commandments (1 John 2:3;John 15:14), do the will of God (Matthew 12:50), abide in God’s Word (John 8:31), keep God’s Word (John 17:6), do good works (Ephesians 2:10), and continue in the faith (Colossians 1:21–23;Hebrews 3:14). Salvation is not adding Jesus to the pantheon of one’s idols; it is a wholesale destruction of the idols with Jesus reigning supreme.
5) God’s “divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life” (2 Peter 1:3; cf.Romans 8:32). Salvation, then, is not just a ticket to heaven. It is the means by which we are sanctified (practically) in this life and by which we grow in grace.
6) Scripture teaches that Jesus is Lord of all. Christ demands unconditional surrender to His will (Romans 6:17–18;10:9–10). Those who live in rebellion to God’s will do not have eternal life, for “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble” (James 4:6).
8) Scripture teaches that behavior is an important test of faith. Obedience is evidence that one’s faith is genuine (1 John 2:3). If a person remains unwilling to obey Christ, he provides evidence that his “faith” is in name only (1 John 2:4). A person may claim Jesus as Savior and pretend to obey for a while, but, if there is no heart change, his true nature will eventually manifest itself. This was the case for Judas Iscariot.
9) Genuine believers may stumble and fall, but they willperseverein the faith (1 Corinthians 1:8). This was the case for Simon Peter. A “believer” who completely turns away from the Lord, never to return, plainly shows that he was never born again to begin with (1 John 2:19). This was the case for Judas Iscariot (seeJohn 6:70).
A person who has been delivered from sin by faith in Christ should not desire to remain in a life of sin (Romans 6:2). Of course, spiritual growth can occur quickly or slowly, depending on the person and his circumstances. And the changes may not be evident to everyone at first. Ultimately, God knows who are His sheep, and He will mature each of us according to His perfect time table.
Is it possible to be a Christian and live in lifelong carnality, enjoying the pleasures of sin, and never seeking to glorify the Lord who bought him? Can a sinner spurn the lordship of Christ yet lay claim to Him as Savior? Can someone pray a “sinner’s prayer” and go about his life as if nothing had happened and still call himself a “Christian”? Lordship salvation says “no.” Let us not give unrepentant sinners false hope; rather, let us declare the whole counsel of God: “You must be born again” (John 3:7).
I can think of nothing more wonderful and exciting than living my life with a passion for Jesus Christ. Having a passion for something makes life interesting and meaningful. But when that passion is for Christ, life takes on a whole new dimension where exceedingly great joy and eternal rewards are by-products of our desire to please our Savior. I absolutely love and agree with Pastor John Piper when he shared: “Desire that your life count for something great! Long for your life to have eternal significance. Want this! Don’t coast through life without a passion.”1
This past July, I turned 70 years-old and while I may be advancing in years so is my passion to use all of my gifts and talents to glorify Jesus. Over the last three years, since I started my website, I have posted over 1,100 devotions, with my main goal being to get Christians more excited about serving and worshipping Christ. I have also tried to be an encourager to Christians to use their time, talents, and treasury to glorify Jesus.
One of my sub passions is Christian apologetics and my desire to defend the Christian faith and the Bible through sharing why I believe the Bible is the most unique, amazing, influential and transformational book around. As some of you may know, for the past few years, since I retired from my second career as a counselor for the Bowery Mission in New York City, (my first career was as a VP of Finance for JP Morgan Chase) I have traveled and spoken at different churches and universities, at my third career, as a Christian apologist. While this is a non-paying career, I can honestly say I get such joy by helping Christians have their faith strengthened by exposing them to evidences for the faith that they may never have heard about.
To glorify Jesus should be your greatest passion if you are a child of God. I believe that if this is not the case in your life then you are short-changing yourself and settling for a life where joy and rich meaning may just pass you by. A passion for Christ will not only produce genuine deep joy in your life but will also transform the Christian experience from duty to delight! Yes, it is true you will have to sacrifice many creature comforts along the way and you will often have to practice self-denial, but serving Jesus opens up for us levels of personal fulfillment far exceeding any others. In fact, self-denial can bring us joy that we can’t get in any other way.
Do you have a passion for Christ? If not ask God to rearrange your priorities – I guarantee you won’t regret it!
Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out. (Deuteronomy 28:6)
The blessings of the law are not canceled. Jesus confirmed the promise when He bore the penalty. If I keep the commands of my Lord, I may appropriate this promise without question.
This day I will come in to my house without fear of evil tidings, and I will come in to my closet expecting to hear good news from my Lord. I will not be afraid to come in unto myself by self-examination, nor to come in to my affairs by a diligent inspection of my business. I have a good deal of work to do indoors, within my own soul; oh, for a blessing upon it all, the blessing of the Lord Jesus, who has promised to abide with me.
I must also go out. Timidity makes me wish that I could stay within doors and never go into the sinful world again. But I must go out in my calling, and I must go out that I may be helpful to my brethren and useful to the ungodly. I must be a defender of the faith and an assailant of evil. Oh, for a blessing upon my going out this day! Lord, let me go where Thou leadest, on Thy errands, under Thy command, and in the power of Thy Spirit.
Lord Jesus, turn in with me and be my guest; and then walk out with me and cause my heart to burn while You speak with me by the way.
“‘ …Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. They are not just idle words for you- they are your life.’”Deuteronomy 32: 46-47 (NIV)
My 13 year old son is an eating machine.
He is 6 feet tall and wears a size fourteen shoe. He has been growing like a weed and doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. I am constantly asked the question of where my offspring gets his height? I always reply the same, “I honestly don’t know but I’m not complaining because he loves to play basketball”.
Especially during growth spurts, Zack can really put away some food. He doesn’t discriminate either. My son will eat meats, sweets, fruits, veggies, breads, you name it- he wants it. There are days that it seems I don’t even step foot out of my kitchen because of his constant state of hunger. Even after eating a huge meal, my son is still scrounging in the pantry to find more food. He has an appetite that cannot be satisfied. In his words, he is starving. He always needs just a little bit more…
Wouldn’t it be great if I was starving too? No, not starving from being on the latest fad diet. But starving to dig deeper into God’s Word. How wonderful it would be if I had an enormous appetite for studying the Bible and praying.
I petition the Lord to bless me with a hunger to know Him in a deeper, more personal way. To never be satisfied – always wanting more.
I love the passage of scripture from Deuteronomy describing when Moses talked to the Israelites about God’s Word. He told the people the Scriptures were meant to be studied so they can be applied in their lives and passed on to others. That’s a good reminder for me also. The Bible isn’t filled with idle words. Those words require action. I need to learn more of God’s Word so I can diligently share it with others.
I hope my children will discover the importance of reading and applying the scriptures to everyday life. Hopefully a steady diet of the Bible, fruits, and veggies will keep them very healthy. Pray today that God will lavish a spiritual hunger on you also, that will foster your growth and maturity in His grace. Petition the Lord to mold you into an “eating machine” of His Word.
“And so we shall all come together to that oneness in our faith and in our knowledge of the Son of God; we shall become mature people, reaching to the very height of Christ’s full stature.” Ephesians 4:13 (TEV)
When I played golf, I thought I was doing pretty well just to get the ball somewhere on the putting green.
The truth be told, my main goal was to reach the green without majorly embarrassing myself, so I was satisfied even when my ball made it somewhere near the fringes.
One day a local golf pro told me that the key difference between an average golfer and one who is excellent is this: The truly great players shoot for the hole, not somewhere near the hole or somewhere on the green. They aim directly for the hole.
He told me, “You should make the hole your goal.” My intelligent, thoughtful response was, “Yeah, right! That’ll be the day.”
I didn’t think I’d ever be able to hit the hole, so I didn’t even try. The reason so many of us get stuck, unable to move deeper into intimacy with God is because we don’t think it’s truly possible, at least for us. And so we don’t even try.
But it is possible to mature, “reaching to the very height of Christ’s full stature.” We need to practice at it, and that’s called discipleship. We need to help each other grow, and that’s why we have small support groups.
But the good news is this: God himself is working within us, bringing us into alignment with the very image of Jesus. Aim for Jesus and not just the fringes of faith.
Never-before-seen footage of Nazi death train liberation unearthed 78 years later Seventy-eight years after the 30th Division of the U.S. Army saved 2,500 Jews from the so-called Nazi death train which was transporting them from Bergen-Belsen concentration camp to Theresienstadt, moving never-before-seen footage taken by U.S. Army soldiers on the day of the train’s liberation on April 13, 1945, was discovered. We’re working on that too,” said Netanyahu.
Staggering Degree Of Biblical Illiteracy: Poll Finds Fewer and Fewer Americans Believe in Hell and the Devil It may not be surprising fewer and fewer people believe in God, angels, heaven, hell, and the devil. The recent poll finds they are down to new lows. These drops in percentage may not seem significant or dramatic, but the outright darkness, deception, delusion, and depravity in America coincides with the declining numbers.
Fitch downgrades US credit rating to AA+ Fitch cites factors like an “erosion of governance”. Trump campaign likens Jan. 6 indictment to Nazi Germany The campaign also made claims that the “Biden Crime Family” and the Justice Department are interfering in the 2024 election and that Trump is the frontrunner. “The persecution of President Trump and his supporters is reminiscent of Nazi Germany, the former Soviet Union, and other dictatorial and authoritarian regimes,” the campaign said, with a spokesperson of the former president saying that the investigation into Trump is “un-American,”

Ex-State Department officials admit they were wrong On his way out the door, the retiring U.S. ambassador to Israel, Thomas Nides, has belatedly acknowledged that he “screwed up” in one of his last major actions. He’s just the latest in a growing line of U.S. diplomats who have admitted—when it was too late—that they made significant errors in their treatment of Israel. So why does anybody still listen to them when they offer advice on the Arab-Israeli conflict?

10 Signs That We Really Are Living In Apocalyptic Times Time is running out for humanity…On a very basic level, most people can feel that global events are starting to spiral out of control. Evil is growing all around us, and just about everything that our leaders do to solve our rapidly growing problems seems to make them even worse. The pace of change just keeps getting faster and faster, and many fear that this will soon lead to widespread chaos all over the globe. The following are 10 signs that we really are living in apocalyptic times…
MILITARY: “Bless The LORD Oh My Soul” This is so good! A lot of top people in our Government and Military are corrupt, but the literal boots on the ground are GOOD people. Many people fully vaccinated for covid are now going BLIND We have heard all about the many cases of myocarditis and pericarditis post-injection, as well as recipients repeatedly testing “positive” for the virus even after doing the deed. But there is another concerning side effect occurring in the “fully vaccinated” for the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) that is rarely mentioned: blindness.

Costa Coffee Chain In The UK Draws Outrage After Advert Featuring A Transgender Man With Scars From Elective Double Mastectomy Surgery All over the world, there is a movement on to normalize some of the very same things that Josef Mengele did to his victims at places like the Auschwitz and Ravensbrück concentration camps during WWII. The very idea of encouraging kids to willingly undergo surgery that for women cuts off their breasts and removes their reproductive systems, and for men castrates them either chemically or surgically is an appalling dystopian nightmare that should be prosecuted, and not celebrated. Mengele would be thrilled if he could look up from where he is now to see what’s going on.

‘Their Terrifying Plan’: Unmasking the Globalists “For over a year I’ve known I had to write a book exploring and explaining how the conspirators planned their takeover of the world, how they conceived the idea of using fake scares (such as covid-19 and climate change) and how American banks (using the IMF, the World Bank and the BIS) have taken over one country after another. My new book explains everything. It’s very, very scary and packed with facts.” – Dr. Vernon Coleman
The Rise Of The “Superbugs” Is A Catastrophic Long-Term Health Crisis That Threatens To Kill Hundreds Of Millions Of People The rise of the “superbugs” is here. The death toll is already in the millions each year, and it won’t be too long before “superbugs” are killing tens of millions of people each year. In my last book I identified a number of long-term trends that threaten to collapse our society, and now you can add this one to the list. The clock really is ticking for humanity, but most people in the general population simply do not understand what we are facing. They just assume that life will go on as it always has, but that is simply not going to be possible.

Frankly, it is a bizarre twist of fate that Democrats want exactly the same thing as the Republicans’ MAGA base — a Trump presidential nomination. (See, Joe Biden can bring unity!)
Every time Trump is indicted, outrage on his behalf grows along with his poll numbers because an increasing number of Republicans rightly view this legal persecution for what it is — scandalously political. Of course, these folks want Trump to win and, to put it mildly, knock some heads once back in office.
Democrats, by contrast, think they can easily beat Trump (and down-ballot Republicans) in a fourth straight election because of two aces up their sleeves: the incredible motivator of Trump Derangement Syndrome and the means to capitalize on it through bulk-mail balloting. (Note: It doesn’t matter whether you think they beat Trump; it matters whether they think they beat Trump.)
Here’s a little proof of the Democrat strategy: “On the day that Devon Archer, a business associate and longtime friend of Hunter Biden, testified before the House Oversight committee, CNN and MSNBC instead flooded the airwaves with their favorite topic: Donald Trump,” reports the Media Research Center. “Between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. eastern, CNN and MSNBC made a combined 759 mentions of Donald Trump, while at the same time mentioning Devon Archer just 48 times.”
Free and hysterical wall-to-wall coverage of Trump helped him win the nomination in 2016. Clearly, the media think it’ll work again.
Which brings us to Jack Smith’s 45-page indictment over Trump’s behavior related to the 2020 election and January 6, which, notably, came one day after Archer’s damning testimony about the Biden Crime Family. We know this will shock you to your core, but Smith’s new indictment is no better than Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s hilariously pathetic charges over the Stormy Daniels affair. It’s nowhere near as serious as Smith’s earlier two-tiered-justice indictment over the classified documents fiasco. (Still waiting on that indictment of Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Mike Pence, and who knows how many other classified document mishandlers.)
For starters, Trump said … a lot of stuff after the 2020 election. Yet even congressional Democrats hell-bent on impeaching him for a second time after the January 6 riot couldn’t tie anything he said to the violence that day. Neither, apparently, could Jack Smith produce any evidence. It’s certainly telling that he didn’t use the phony “insurrection” label.
Instead, the indictment even offered a back-handed defense of Trump, saying he “had a right, like every American, to speak publicly about the election and even to claim, falsely, that there had been outcome-determinative fraud during the election and that he had won.” However, Smith went on to stretch reality to reach four charges:
Conspiracy to Defraud the United States
Conspiracy to Obstruct an Official Proceeding
Obstruction of and Attempt to Obstruct an Official Proceeding
Conspiracy Against [Voting] Rights
The indictment also listed but did not name six “co-conspirators,” likely including Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, and John Eastman.
Essentially, Smith says if a president lies and then acts on that lie, he is conspiring against and defrauding the United States. The editors of The Wall Street Journal nail it, writing, “You don’t have to be a defender of Donald Trump to worry about where this will lead.”
This isn’t impeachment, which is a political solution to a sometimes political problem. This is an illegitimate attempt to criminalize Trump’s post-election statements when no law had done so, all so Democrats can have a mulligan on their failed second impeachment.
Among other problems with prosecuting this mess, Smith would have to prove Trump knowingly lied. Good luck with that.
Perhaps most revealing of all, during Smith’s press conference announcing the charges, he didn’t really bother with trying to explain the charges or persuade anyone of their merit. Instead, he ripped a partisan speech right off Joe Biden’s Unity™ teleprompter, opining about the Capitol riot being “an unprecedented assault on the seat of American democracy” that was “fueled by lies.”
Trump thought the same thing, calling the indictment “reminiscent of Nazi Germany in the 1930s” and a “pathetic attempt by the Biden Crime Family and their weaponized Department of Justice to interfere with the 2024 Presidential Election.”
Moreover, Trump isn’t charged with the riot, so Smith is the one “fueled by lies.” One of them is a lie by glaring omission. The indictment “quotes Trump in his speech about encouraging people to go to the Capitol Hill, but like the January 6th committee, it omits where he says, ‘you should go peacefully,’” noted George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley. “I think that’s a mistake, quite frankly, because it undermines your credibility when you sort of hide the ball on things like that.”
Turley added, “When I take a red pen through material that is protected by the First Amendment, it reduces much of this to a haiku.”
Almost humorously, Smith gave the obligatory and totally disingenuous paean to American justice: “I must emphasize that the indictment is only an allegation and that the defendant must be presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.” If only he or any other Democrat believed such things.
Of Smith’s press conference, former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy said, “That was one of the most demagogic presentations I have ever seen in a high-profile criminal case.”
As for Smith’s prospects in court, Turley argued, “One of the most ominous elements for Trump may be the likely location as opposed to the specific counts.” So, perhaps the special counsel is playing up January 6 to garner sympathy in the juror pool or from the judge.
Trump will appear before that judge Thursday, and hoo boy what a judge. U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan was nominated by Barack Obama and donated thousands of dollars to him. Worse, she’s already previously ruled against Trump in an unrelated J6 case, and she’s practically made a sport out of convicting and harshly sentencing J6 defendants.
Fair trial? Try rigged.
In any event, none of the cases against Trump is likely to be fully litigated before the primaries play out.
As for Trump, he sent out a fundraising email that vividly illustrated what has become an unbreakable bond between him and his fervent supporters: “It’s not just my freedom on the line, but yours as well — and I will NEVER let them take it from you.” Given that he’s spending most of his campaign cash on legal defense, he needs all the help he can get from people who understandably don’t believe a word of anything Democrats or their deep state henchmen throw at Trump.
What does this mean for the 2024 election? Who knows?
Obviously, if Trump does win the nomination, time will tell which side benefited from the strategy to help him do so. For his part, McCarthy wrote an essay yesterday titled “Trump Can’t Win.” But historian Victor Davis Hanson says you’re “utterly delusional” if you think the election outcome is a “foregone conclusion,” and veteran political analyst Byron York says it is “entirely possible” that Trump “could go on to win the general election and become President Trump again.”
If that is in fact what happens, there will be a long-overdue reckoning. And it will get ugly.
The Education Department is using the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act as an excuse to withhold money from schools that train hunters.
Thomas Gallatin
Apparently, the Biden administration doesn’t only object to so-called “assault weapons” but also to firearms millions of Americans use for hunting. Using the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (BSCA) passed by Congress last year in response to the school attack in Uvalde, Texas, the Department of Education is withholding funding from schools across the nation that have hunting and archery programs.
Joe Biden’s DOE argued that the BSCA amended the 1965 Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), prohibiting these funds from being used to provide “training in the use of a dangerous weapon.” It seems that Biden’s oft-repeated vocal support of hunting is all talk, though he could probably use some remedial education himself given his predilection for firing shotguns off balconies and through doors.
According to Republicans, the Biden administration is engaged in a dubious interpretation and application of the new law. Shocking, we know. Senators John Cornyn (TX) and Thom Tillis (NC) last month sent a letter to Education Secretary Miguel Cardona charging the agency with misinterpreting the law, observing that the BSCA provision in question was intended to preclude the funds from going to the training of resource officers, not to prevent funding of hunting and archery programs for students.
Republican Tennessee Representative Mark Green also blasted the Biden administration for seeking to impose “elitist values on Tennesseans,” saying that such actions weren’t “going to fly.” North Carolina Republican Representative Dan Bishop called the Education Department’s decision “shameful, but not at all surprising.” He added, “The Biden [administration] will take any opportunity to stomp on your constitutional rights — even down to teaching kids archery and hunting skills.”
The decision flies in the face of one of the main demands of the gun control lobby, namely the call for more safety training. Here we have the Biden administration actively doing the exact opposite. The Education Department, using the guise of promoting “safety,” will punish schools (by withholding funding) that dare to teach students firearm safety, which is one of the primary focuses of hunter safety programs.
As Safari Club International Executive Vice President Ben Cassidy observed, “It is ironic that the U.S. Department of Education is actively denying young Americans the chance to educate themselves on basic firearm and hunting safety so that they can go afield knowing how to keep themselves, their friends, and family safe.”
And when it comes to firearms, the Biden administration may be spitting into the wind, not simply because of the estimated number of firearms Americans own, but because of the percentage of Americans who now own firearms. According to a recent study conducted by Rutgers University’s New Jersey Gun Violence Research Center, the estimated number of firearms owners in the U.S. is likely much higher than the widely reported 30%. Indeed, the actual percentage may be as high as 60%.
Reason Magazine’s J.D. Tuccille noted that the study reveals a phenomena some call the “quiet gun owners.” Like the supposed “silent majority” of politically conservative voters, these “quiet gun owners” are individuals who for reasons of privacy when polled deny they own a firearm.
And given the increasingly vehement anti-gun position of leftist politicians, and growing fears that these politicians may seek to crack down on certain firearms, gun owners are reticent to let on that they own any. This may also explain why the push for ever-increasing gun control often fails to gain traction in much of the country. As the Biden administration is demonstrating with the BSCA, if you give them an inch, they’ll try to take a mile.
Border calamity, U.S. credit rating downgraded, Chinese bio lab in California, and more.
Thomas Gallatin & Jordan Candler
Cross-Examination
More border calamity than expected! In its effort to deceive the American people into thinking it was doing a better job of border enforcement, the Biden administration engaged in a rhetorical redefinition game by labeling more migrants illegally crossing as asylum seekers. The newly created Customs and Border Protection One program set a limit of 1,000 appointments a day for migrants to seek “legal” access. That number has quickly increased to 1,250 and then 1,450 by the end of June. Yet the influx of illegal aliens crossing the border has only gotten worse, with DHS officials now effectively ignoring the CBP One daily asylum appointment limit. According to Republican Representative Clay Higgins (LA), the Biden administration is engaged in a “shell game.” Meanwhile, July saw a 50% increase in illegal crossings compared to June. Joe Biden’s CBP One, rather than being a mitigating factor, has actually done the opposite, encouraging even more illegal immigrants.
Downgrading U.S. debt: The U.S. no longer has a top “AAA” rating from Fitch Ratings, as one of the nation’s top three credit rating agencies has downgraded the U.S. to “AA+”. The reason for the downgrade has to do with the nation’s ballooning debt and “a steady deterioration in standards of governance over the last 20 years, including on fiscal and debt matters.” Unsurprisingly, the Biden administration responded to the news with consternation; the White House claimed the downgrade “defies reality.” The only one defying reality is the Biden administration, which is gaslighting the American public by claiming that “Bidenomics” is helping the economy.
The FBI’s own goal: Following a story by The New York Times questioning who purchased an advanced spy tool in the U.S., the FBI jumped to investigate. “A contractor had purchased and deployed a spying tool made by NSO, the contentious Israeli hacking firm, for use by the U.S. government,” according to the Times report. “White House officials said they were unaware of the contract and put the F.B.I. in charge of figuring out who might have been using the technology.” Well, following its investigation, the FBI uncovered the culprit … it was the FBI. Talk about a case of the Keystone Cops. Of course, the agency says that the purchase and use of this spy technology from a contractor it wasn’t allowed to do business with was an honest mistake, and the contract has since been terminated. Instances like this explain why an increasing number of Americans are calling for the elimination of these overly powerful and untrustworthy governmental agencies.
Dylan Mulvaney’s latest money-making scheme: After his partnership with Bud Light cost the beer company tens of billions in sales and market value, “transgender” activist Dylan Mulvaney fled to South America, saying he didn’t “feel safe” in the U.S. Well, evidently he doesn’t feel so unsafe as to not return for a number of college speaking gigs at $40,000 a pop. As he advertised himself via a recent social media post: “University and College friends! I am booking speaking opportunities for the upcoming 23/24 school year and would love to come visit.” His booking page lists “LGBTQIA+ Advocacy,” “Diversity, Equity & Inclusion,” and “Women’s Empowerment” among the subject matters he offers to speak on. Oh the experts you’ll hear…
Chinese bio lab in CA: An illegal Chinese-linked bio lab was recently discovered in Reedley, California, after an investigation was launched months ago. The building in which the illegal lab was discovered had been leased by Prestige Biotech, a Chinese-owned company. The investigation into the facility was launched after a local code inspections officer observed a hose suspiciously sticking out of the back of the building. After going inside, inspectors found roughly 1,000 mice and thousands of vials, some containing potentially infectious diseases and other biohazardous materials. Reedley City Manager Nicole Zieba described the operation as a “black-market type of lab testing facility.” Assistant Director of Public Health for Fresno County Joe Prado observed, “There was just a complete absence of [legally required] controls in place at the warehouse.” He added, “I’ve never seen this in my 26-year career with the County of Fresno.”

If there’s one thing most Americans can agree on, it’s that Bidenomics means high inflation and a limping economy. This president and his team have added trillions of dollars to the national debt, and when we complain, they then try to sweet-talk us into believing that the economy is just fine; in fact, they insist, we’re better off.
The economy is one of Joe Biden’s weakest areas (one of many), which was made particularly clear in a recent CBS News/YouGov poll. Fifty-eight percent of respondents feel that the economy is getting worse. Seventy percent stated that their incomes aren’t keeping up with inflation. Sixty percent said President Biden is doing a bad job, and the main reason they believe that is because of the economy and inflation.
Addressing the struggling economy is going to be a major point of contention in the 2024 presidential election cycle. One particular GOP candidate just put forth a policy plan to dig our country out of the hole created by COVID and feckless spending. That candidate is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
As part of his campaign reboot, he outlined his 10-point vision for the economy that he has already had the opportunity to test in Florida with great success. The Sunshine State has the best economy in the nation. Here is what DeSantis proposes:
Tackling China, incentivizing investment, energy independence, ridding ourselves of woke policies, and reining in the federal government all sound very good. However, as The Wall Street Journal points out, some of DeSantis’s economic growth projections might be undermined by his politics. In a New Hampshire speech, DeSantis talked about not paying for useless college degrees with government funding, but also making student loans forgivable should that student declare bankruptcy. This is a clear bid for the younger generation’s votes and a direct challenge to Biden’s loan forgiveness schemes. This clever political ploy would still undermine the overall goal of reducing debt.
Another political economic motivation that could hinder the actual goal of economic growth is China. Realistically, decoupling our economy from China presents myriad challenges, and it’s going to hurt before it gets better. Companies that have invested in China need incentives beyond patriotic feeling to pull their money from a huge market. It is worth doing, but there is going to be a cost.
Some goals are a good mix of politics and good economic sense, like becoming energy independent. Another is reining in the “picking winners and losers” practice of this administration with electric vehicles. Team DeSantis would also like to “save the American automobile” by undoing Biden’s EPA proposal that would force all automobile companies to be primarily producing electric vehicles by 2030.
DeSantis has some good ideas and a stellar track record in Florida that speaks to economic sense. President Donald Trump, the GOP frontrunner, also happens to have a good track record with a (pre-COVID) booming economy. It would be a major misstep for any GOP candidate to ignore or underplay this obvious point of attack against the sitting president.
The Biden administration is the party guilty of injecting domestic culture wars into the national security conversation.
Joshua Arnold
Old dogs sometimes do learn new tricks. And President Joe Biden is so pleased with his latest attainment — criticizing Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) for delaying military promotions over the Pentagon’s illegal abortion policy — that he is showing it off just about everywhere. This month, Biden has bashed Tuberville’s courageous, one-man stand at a joint press conference with the president of Finland, a speech about “Bidenomics,” and a Civil Rights Symposium.
Tuberville, the president keeps insisting, is “jeopardizing our national security over domestic social issues.” Biden also suggested Tuberville was stubbornly refusing to negotiate, saying, “I’d be willing to talk to him [Tuberville] if I thought there was any possibility he would change his ridiculous position on this.”
Biden’s factually challenged attack doesn’t even approximate the spirit of the actual situation. “I’ve said all along,” Tuberville wrote in June, “that I will drop my hold on unanimous consent under only two conditions: Democrats can follow the law or change the law.” In reality, the Biden administration is the party guilty of injecting domestic culture wars into the national security conversation, when last year it decided the Department of Defense (DOD) would cover abortion-related expenses, in violation of federal law. And the Biden administration is the party guilty of stubbornly refusing to modify its policy to allow military promotions to continue.
“All Tommy Tuberville is doing is standing up for the law,” remarked Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah).
Yet Tuberville is the one under attack.
This is not an isolated phenomenon. Examples abound of left-wing ideologues blaming conservatives for culture wars started by the Left.
The ongoing controversy over PEPFAR reauthorization illustrates the same pattern. The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) is a successful, bipartisan program combatting HIV and AIDS among Africa’s poorest inhabitants. The program’s five-year, $30 million reauthorization expires in September, and pro-life groups are now urging against a straight reauthorization, without additional pro-life protections. Naturally, the Left is blaming conservatives for politicizing a previously bipartisan policy.
In a lengthy report, The Washington Post painted a dire picture, suggesting Republicans were jeopardizing the future of PEPFAR over “allegations that the program’s funding is being used to indirectly support abortions — claims that health advocates, Democrats and PEPFAR officials say are baseless.” The 54-paragraph article devotes three clauses to describing pro-life concerns with PEPFAR. Meanwhile, its “experts” allege that “it’s really about the larger politics around abortion, electoral politics, and the partisan divide,” “populism, nationalism, and polarization have undermined domestic collective action and solidarity,” and “it’s just dumbfounding to me that the charge has been taken seriously.” According to their narrative, pro-life stalwart Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) is a villain who switched positions to oppose PEPFAR.
There’s more to the story they aren’t telling. In 2021, President Biden rescinded the Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance Policy (PLGHA), which opened the door for organizations that carry out or promote abortion to obtain PEPFAR funding. Then in September 2022, the State Department published a document titled, “Reimagining PEPFAR’s Strategic Direction.” Under this strategic “reimagining” — on which Congress never voted — “PEPFAR will integrate HIV programming into strengthened public health systems to manage … sexual reproductive health, rights, and services ….” It would also “strengthen coordination between PEPFAR and other U.S. government global health and development programs, including for … sexual and reproductive health and rights … LGBTQI+, and human rights” (emphasis added). In other words, the Biden administration has unilaterally reinvented PEPFAR as a vehicle to promote abortion and its radical LGBT agenda.
Pro-life opposition to PEPFAR began after the State Department published it “reimagining” strategy. But the Left and the media are accusing pro-lifers of politicizing the issue.
Another controversy is over the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), an annual, must-pass bill to fund the military. The version passed by House Republicans included amendments which banned taxpayer funding of gender transition procedures, pornographic books in DOD schools, flying Pride flags on military property, and the creation or funding of DEI offices.
Yet again, Democrats depicted Republicans as culture war aggressors. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan responded that an “extreme group of Republicans” — the bill passed 219-210 with four Democrats voting in favor — had passed “a set of amendments that try to mix domestic social debates with … the security needs of our nation,” and that these amendments were “never getting to the president’s desk.” Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) called the House-passed NDAA “race to the bottom … partisan legislation that has zero chance of passing.” The Senate passed a version of the NDAA that includes none of these amendments, and the two chambers will have to iron out their differences in conference.
But one feature gives away the game: all of these Republican amendments aim to prohibit the military from doing things it shouldn’t be doing, and which for centuries it didn’t do. These amendments would have been meaningless 30 years ago when the military did none of these things. The Biden administration, aided by a Democrat-controlled Congress from 2021-2022, initiated, expanded, or un-moth-balled (from the Obama era) these policies. House Republicans are merely endeavoring to claw back a tiny fraction of the woke expansion.
And Republicans are taking fire for trying to restore normalcy in the military.
This pattern is not restricted to the federal government. In recent years, state legislators have acted to protect children from gender reassignment procedures and LGBT indoctrination in schools. They have enacted protections for women’s private spaces from male intrusion and women’s sports from male domination. They have protected conscience rights, official ID documentation, and curriculum from trans ideology. Each legislative measure responds to leftist aggression attempting to politicize and dominate a new aspect of life. As thanks, left-wing advocacy groups slander these state legislators, depicting them as hateful bigots who “attack LGBTQ rights.”
No, it’s LGBT ideologues who are attacking the very fabric of society.
Progressives expand the culture war into a new aspect of life, conservatives mobilize a response to restore normalcy, and the media behaves as if conservatives were the Mongol Horde of culture wars. Like naturally-occurring spirals or Fibonacci sequences, once this pattern is recognized, it suddenly begins to appear everywhere. The Left behaves like the child who punches his brother while mom’s back is turned, then pays his third sibling to tell his version of events.
Alas, this tripartite pattern should surprise no one who is acquainted with the meaning of the words “progressive” and “conservative,” and who is acquainted with the Left’s revolutionary roots. Swallowing false accusations is simply part of the price the defenders of civilization must pay. But it doesn’t mean that we have to shut our eyes to the fixed game the Left tries to play.
Joe Biden’s open border is causing devastating harm to thousands upon thousands of innocent people.
Samantha Koch
In a recent meeting with the House Homeland Security Committee, expert Jaeson Jones detailed the reality of the Mexican drug cartels’ control of the United States southern border. They are causing unimaginable devastation, and it will continue as long as authorities allow this depravity to run the dividing line between the countries.
In his opening statement, Jones described his experience of joining border security and law enforcement on their patrol of highly traveled areas between the U.S. and Mexico. He gained firsthand knowledge of the danger posed to American citizens, as well as the untold human rights violations of the growing trafficking trade — largely brought about by weakened border policies.
Offering details that most of the public are unaware of, Jones, a former agent of the Texas Department of Public Safety, described the structure of the Mexican cartels today. They now operate as a parallel government in their own country, he said, and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador seems powerless to stop them. Jones passionately urged the U.S. to designate these groups as foreign terrorist organizations. Otherwise, Jones warned, “the hundred thousand Americans we are losing year after year to date is just the beginning.”
He went on to remind the committee of a story he had broken in 2021 regarding the cartels’ new use of wristbands for the purpose of evolving their operations from human smuggling to the trafficking of men, women, and children. Each band is color-coded and corresponds with one of the numerous alien smuggling organizations, and they are being used to move people into the United States under debt bondage.
“What I am holding in my hand today, I want to be very clear: This is America’s new slave trade,” Jones said. “And now we have moved these people throughout the country … and we have sent a virus of debt bondage across the nation.”
In other testimony, Derek Maltz Sr. echoed the sentiments of Jones, providing the unequivocal statement that the cartels have “full control of the border.”
During an exchange between Florida Representative Kat Cammack and Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, Cammack help up a jar of the colorful wristbands and asked Becerra if he knew what they were.
Hesitantly, Becerra answered, “Looks like candies or snacks.”
Baffled at the ignorance of a member of an organization designed for the purpose of being informed on human rights issues, Cammack had to explain the horrific representation of these wristbands. She educated the oblivious leader of HHS that the bands were indicative of which cartel the person “belonged” to, how much they have paid, and who they are now indebted to upon entry into the U.S.
Cammack then described an encounter she recently witnessed at the southern border, backing up her experience with a photo that she took of the victim (a young girl, no older than four years old) and her captor.
“It was 11:46 at night. I, myself, took this photo,” Cammack said. “That little girl that you see” — pointing to the photos — “was acting terrified. Not of the agents, not of myself, but of the man holding her. The very next day at the Donna Processing facility, we threatened this man with a DNA test. He confessed that he, actually, was not her father, but that he had rented her.”
She went on: “This little girl was turned over to HHS custody. Your custody.”
Cammack then had to further educate Becerra, letting him know that this man was discovered to be a convicted sex offender. Furthermore, only around 9% of these so-called families are asked to provide DNA tests, and only 23% of the adults encountered by border security are undergoing background checks.
We have the testimony of experts. We have photo evidence presented by representatives who actually bothered to travel to the southern border and provide accurate reporting on the state of things. And we have numerous whistleblowers who have spoken up about the alarming reality of drug, human, and labor trafficking happening on a daily basis under the nose of the current administration. Yet DHS Security Alejandro Mayorkas continues to downplay the threat of cartel activity and claim that any attention brought to this issue is purely political.
The apathetic response from the Biden White House is unsurprising to anyone on the conservative side of the aisle. However, having a legitimate human crisis ignored by the very people who claim to be the leaders in compassion and humanity might be a shock to New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who is now regularly and publicly crying for help with alleviating the significant strain on resources and the threat to public safety that the influx of illegal immigrants is having on his city.
The streets, schools, hotels, and shelters of this self-declared “sanctuary city” have been overrun with people who have come to the United States illegally. Mayor Adams is now warning other U.S. cities that “eventually this is going to come to a neighborhood near you.” At the risk of sounding racist, he even argued, “We need to control the border.”
Returning to Jaeson Jones’s testimony, the cartels across the southern border of the U.S. are the greatest enemy and national security threat of our day. The president is refusing to address this unprecedented drug- and human-trafficking crisis despite taking his oath of office and pledging to protect the United States from all threats, both foreign and domestic.
The result is to aid in this surging market of dehumanization and death.
“I would rather have the blue band of the Medal of Honor around my neck than to be president of the United States.”
Mark Alexander
The path to Harry Truman’s presidency was through some of the darkest times in our nation’s history — World War I, the Great Depression, and World War II. In 1929, Republican Herbert Hoover entered office at the onset of the Great Depression, which is why, in 1933, he was defeated by Franklin D. Roosevelt.
FDR, a wealthy Democrat aristocrat, had perfected the Demo model for buying elections, redistributing wealth and entitlements for votes. As you might recall, Roosevelt proclaimed: “Here is my principle: Taxes shall be levied according to ability to pay. That is the only American principle.” Not so American, actually — if that language sounds familiar, it is because FDR’s “American principle” was a paraphrase of Karl Marx’s communist maxim, “From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.” FDR’s “New Deal” economic centralization would birth Lyndon Baines Johnson’s so-called “Great Society” three decades later. The Left’s “War on Poverty” is, and has always been, a war on the poor.
FDR, like those Demo presidents in recent decades, had no military service. His isolationism arguably empowered the leader of Germany’s NAZI (National Socialist German Workers’ Party) regime, Adolf Hitler, and Japan’s Emperor Hirohito. The latter forced FDR into World War II after ordering the attack on Pearl Harbor. Roosevelt was reelected three times, serving from March 4, 1933, until his death on April 12, 1945.
Ending World War II would fall on the shoulders of FDR’s third vice president, his two-term successor, Harry Truman. Truman was from more humble beginnings, the son of a farmer and livestock manager in Lamar, Missouri, who, unlike Roosevelt, had distinguished himself serving our country in World War I. He was an Army artillery officer with the 102nd Infantry Division with the American Expeditionary Forces in France. He led units in the Battle of Saint-Mihiel and the Meuse-Argonne offensive. He would remain in the Army Reserve until 1953, rising to the rank of Colonel.
Returning home from World War I, he married his sweetheart Bess Wallace. His first campaign was for judge of Jackson County, Missouri. He was then drafted by the Missouri Democrat Party to run for U.S. Senate, a seat he won and retained until becoming FDR’s vice president in January 1945 and, quickly thereafter, president after Roosevelt’s death three months later. On his first day in office, Truman, who was noted for his grassroots wit, told the White House media: “Boys, if you ever pray, pray for me now. I don’t know if you fellas ever had a load of hay fall on you, but when they told me what happened yesterday, I felt like the moon, the stars, and all the planets had fallen on me.”
A month later, on May 8, 1945, his 61st birthday, Truman and the nation celebrated V-E Day and the defeat of Hitler. Three months later, Truman authorized the first and only nuclear attack against a foreign aggressor — Hiroshima was bombed on August 6, and Nagasaki three days later, leading to Hirohito’s surrender on August 10.
Truman, who made famous the maxim noted on a sign on his presidential desk, “The Buck Stops Here,” defended his decision to use atomic bombs, saying: “As president of the United States, I had the fateful responsibility of deciding whether or not to use this weapon for the first time. It was the hardest decision I ever had to make. But the president cannot duck hard problems — he cannot pass the buck. I made the decision after discussions with the ablest men in our government, and after long and prayerful consideration. I decided that the bomb should be used to end the war quickly and save countless lives — Japanese as well as American.”
On a personal note, my father told me years later that he and his Navy wingmen owed their lives to those bombs, as did we, his children. It was assumed that there would be enormous U.S., Allied, and Japanese casualties in Operation Downfall, the Pacific plan to invade the Japanese islands similar to the D-Day invasion of Europe. That plan was canceled with Japan’s post-bombing surrender.
Okay, so the previous paragraphs comprise the most condensed history lesson I have ever written, but I provide that context for understanding the gravity of the decisions Truman faced.
In 1971, when he was 87 years old, Congress took up legislation to award Truman the Medal of Honor for his leadership. But to his credit, “Give ‘em Hell Harry” would have no part of that, having met no condition of valor “for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty” required for our nation’s highest military award.
Truman declared, “I don’t consider that I have done anything which should be the reason for any award, Congressional or otherwise.” He said further that he may not have demonstrated valor, but he certainly demonstrated honor and humility in vigorously refusing the award. He proclaimed that awarding him that honor would depreciate the Medal’s standing.
Having awarded several Medals of Honor himself, Truman understood the extraordinary service and sacrifice associate with the Medal. After awarding Desmond Doss his Medal in October 1945, a man whom Truman referred to fondly as “the little skinny pharmacist’s mate” who saved more than 50 soldiers at Hacksaw Ridge, he said, “I would rather have the blue band of the Medal of Honor around my neck than to be president of the United States.”
Indeed.

On Tuesday, 2024 GOP Presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy announced he had filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) following its failure to respond to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
These requests seek to uncover what White House officials, including Joe Biden, communicated to Attorney General Merrick Garland and DOJ official Jack Smith regarding the indictments in the high-profile cases of former U.S. President and one of Biden’s 2024 Presidential election rivals, Donald J. Trump.
In a Twitter post, Ramaswamy announced that he would also file a separate FOIA request with the DOJ to investigate similar communications related to the Jan 6 Trump indictment.
He emphasized the importance of accountability and transparency, particularly given the Supreme Court’s ruling in U.S. v. Alvarez that protects political candidates’ right to knowingly make inaccurate statements.
“In U.S. v. Alvarez, the Supreme Court held that political candidates have a First Amendment right to knowingly make inaccurate statements. If you’re going to indict a former president and leading presidential candidate, it better not be based on unprecedented legal theory. Further, it’s more than a stretch to call something criminal if someone is seeking legal counsel from their own lawyers,” said Vivek.
In an interview with Laura Ingraham on Tuesday night, Ramaswamy criticized the indictment and described the legal theories being employed as unprecedented and flimsy. He said that it “sets an awful precedent” and characterized the indictment as “going full Banana Republic.”
Ramaswamy also alluded to concerns over the choice of jurisdiction and judge in the case, highlighting connections that could indicate a lack of impartiality. He emphasized that the politicized nature of the indictments was detrimental to the country and that the public deserves transparency.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported that the case was assigned to Judge Tanya Chutkan, an Obama appointee. She was dubbed as the “toughest punisher” of J6ers.
“It also goes to show why this choice of jurisdiction and venue matters deeply. And I think Jack Smith knows exactly what he’s doing. Laura, it just strikes me as the truth of the matter here. They are not going to stop until they get him going or get him coming,” said Vivek.
“And I say this as somebody who is running against Trump. I’m polling at third in the Republican primary. Now, it would be easier for me if Donald Trump were eliminated from the competition. That is not how any of us should want to win, because that is bad for this country. That is why I think it’s important for those of us competing against Trump to take a strong stand against these politicized indictments,” he added.
During the interview, Vivek revealed that he filed a lawsuit against the DOJ after his FOIA request was rebuffed without substantive response, and he plans to file a new FOIA request to further investigate the matter.
“Earlier this evening, I actually filed suit against the DOJ, following up on my earlier FOIA request, trying to get to the bottom of what Biden and Merrick Garland told Jack Smith. That is transparency the public really deserves here. I do not believe that this special veil of a special prosecutor is really as separate as they’re making it out to be,” said Vivek.

The Gateway Pundit reported that President Trump was indicted by a DC grand jury as part of the ongoing investigation into the events surrounding the January 6 Capitol riot, largely based on his claims about the 2020 Presidential Election results.
According to the AP, the indictment revolves around an alleged “effort to undo election loss and subvert transfer of power in run-up to Jan. 6 riot.”
Four counts were leveled against Trump: Conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.
In a statement released on Thursday evening, Trump drew a controversial comparison between the current political climate in the U.S. and that of Nazi Germany in the 1930s.
“This is nothing more than the latest corrupt chapter in the continued pathetic attempt by the Biden Crime Family and their weaponized Department of Justice to interfere with the 2024 Presidential Election, in which President Trump is the undisputed frontrunner, and leading by substantial margins,” Trump said.
He went on to question the timing of the indictment, suggesting it was politically motivated: “Why did they wait two and a half years to bring these fake charges, right in the middle of President Trump’s winning campaign for 2024? Why was it announced the day after the big Crooked Joe Biden scandal broke out from the Halls of Congress?”
“The answer is, election interference! The lawlessness of these persecutions of President Trump and his supporters is reminiscent of Nazi, Germany in the 1930s, the former Soviet Union, and other authoritarian, dictatorial regimes,” Trump added.
In light of the indictment against Trump for challenging the election results, Americans have pointed to a video compilation that has surfaced, showing 24 straight minutes of various Democrats denying election results, contradicting and challenging outcomes in the same way they are now accusing Trump of doing.
The question is, will Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and Jack Smith hold these Democrats to the same standards as Trump?
Democrats objected to the certification of presidential elections in 2000, 2004, and 2016.
Will Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and Jack Smith arrest these Democrats who made false statements and denied these elections?
Will the FBI and DOJ arrest the Democrats and federal law enforcement officials who promoted the Russian collusion hoax in an attempt to overthrow former President Donald Trump?
No, because Joe Biden, Merrick Garland, and Jack Smith represent the corrupt political establishment, FBI, and DOJ that were caught in the 2019 Horowitz Inspector General Report and the 2023 Durham Report staging an insurrection against the duly-elected POTUS Donald Trump.
They fraudulently opened up an investigation against him, falsely accused him of being a Russian agent, falsified information to spy on him, and attempted to overthrow the POTUS.
Last week, the same corrupt FBI and DOJ were exposed for offering Hunter Biden a sweetheart deal that protects him from felony charges or jail time for tax fraud and lying on a gun form.
This deal would have also shielded him from any future prosecution related to illegally obtained money from foreign nations, thereby insulating President Joe Biden from further scrutiny.
Additionally, credible IRS whistleblowers have accused the FBI and DOJ of obstructing the Hunter Biden investigation by blocking felony charges, search warrants, and interviews while preventing any investigation of President Biden and his family.
Now, the same corrupt FBI and DOJ are engaged in a left-wing authoritarian purge of their chief political rival, attempting to imprison Donald Trump for the rest of his life.
His offense?
Challenging the integrity of the 2020 election through his exercise of First Amendment-protected free speech, just like what Democrats did in 2000, 2004, and 2016.
However, this time, the corporate media and social media lied, misrepresented, and censored everything Donald Trump said about election fraud in a highly controversial election decided by a razor-thin margin of 44,000 votes across three states.
In contrast, in 2016, the corporate media and social media spent the next three years promoting the corrupt political establishment, FBI, and DOJ hoax that Donald Trump was a Russian agent.
What’s more destructive to the United States of America than a corrupt FBI and DOJ arresting Joe Biden’s chief political rival, Donald Trump?

Well, well, well … Is anyone surprised?
Former President Donald Trump was indicted on Tuesday … again.
The indictment came one day after bad legal news for President Joe Biden’s family … again.
Special counsel Jack Smith announced a grand jury’s indictment against Trump on four federal charges stemming from Trump’s attempts to contest the 2020 presidential election, Fox News reported. The announcement came one day after former Hunter Biden business partner, Devon Archer, testified at the House Oversight Committee.

Archer revealed that the Ukrainian energy company Burisma had hired Hunter Biden for his influence with then-Vice President Joe Biden and that he had financial gains from dealings with China.

Biden’s de facto lawyer Rep. Daniel Goldman is visually shaken, sweaty and in PANIC after hearing Devon Archer’s testimony.

This is the third set of federal charges brought against Trump, and the fourth time this year that Trump has faced an indictment the day of or the day after bad news surrounding Hunter Biden means bad news for the Biden administration.

Half the country must be clairvoyant because we all saw this coming.
As the legal hits against the former president are unleashed time and time again in perfectly synchronized timing to the mountain of evidence of influence-peddling to foreign countries, including some of our potential enemies, by the Biden family, it seems like Trump’s Democratic political opponents aren’t even pretending the use of the “justice” system is unbiased.
But let’s explore these “coincidences,” as summarized by Breitbart.
The April Indictment
In April, Kathy Chung, a former Biden aide, testified at the House Oversight Committee that the White House narrative about Biden’s storage of classified documents was false.
Meanwhile, House Oversight Committee chairman @RepJamesComer just revealed that testimony from Joe Biden’s former VP assistant Kathy Chung “undermines” the WH story about his classified documents. Coincidentally, on the same day, Democratic Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced a grand jury had indicted Trump on charges regarding payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

In June, lawmakers made public an unclassified FBI-generated record detailing an alleged criminal scheme involving former Vice President Joe Biden and a Ukrainian business executive. The record in question was an FD-1023 form, obtained through legally protected disclosures made by whistleblowers within the Justice Department.

One that same day, special counsel Smith announced an indictment of Trump for allegedly retaining classified White House documents illegally.
The June Superseding Indictment
The bizarre connection between bad news Biden’s legal troubles and Donald Trump continued. Later in June, Hunter Biden’s “sweetheart” plea bargain for two tax misdemeanors and a gun violation with federal prosecutors in Delaware unraveled in court after a judge raised concerns about a provision that protected Hunter Biden from potential prosecution related to his financial dealings, which possibly also implicated President Biden.

One day later, Smith announced a superseding indictment on Trump’s document case.
Despite the desperate attacks to divert public interest from the Bidens by weaponizing the DOJ against Trump, a New York Times/Sienna poll shows Trump and Biden tied in a potential rematch.
Given the sequence of events, you can smell the desperation coming from Attorney General Merrick Garland’s office.
If anyone still thinks all of this is a coincidence, there’s a Hunter Biden painting they might want to buy for its investment value.
When Voddie Baucham first penned The Ever-Loving Truth: Can Faith Survive in a Post-Christian Culture? in 2004, he was concerned that the dominant ideology of the day, secular humanism, was making biblical truth all but obsolete.
Fast forward nearly two decades, and, according to the 54-year-old dean of theology at African Christian University in Zambia, truth is still under attack in today’s society, much like it was back then, with a shift from secular humanism to a radical Marxist approach.
“But really, at the end of the day, it’s the same thing,” he told The Christian Post. “It’s the idea that either there is no truth or that truth is a social construct, knowledge is even a social construct. And in both instances, Christianity, and really anyone else who proclaims that there is absolute truth, becomes the enemy of the ideology of the day.”
In September, Baucham is releasing a revised and updated version of his bestselling book, which he hopes serves as a valuable resource for Christians seeking to navigate increasingly turbulent cultural waters.
In his book, Baucham draws parallels between the early Church’s experiences in pre-Christian Rome and the present-day challenges, highlighting the pressure to conform to prevailing ideologies while avoiding interfering with cultural norms.
“In the early Church, there was this pressure to conform to the religious ideologies of the day,” he said. “There was this pressure that said, ‘It’s OK for you to practice your Christianity; your Christianity just can’t be allowed to interfere with our Roman religion.’ Today, we see the same thing. People are saying, ‘Listen, I don’t have a problem with Christianity, per se, as long as that Christianity stays within the four walls of the church and does not try to impose itself on the broader culture, and as long as that Christianity does not prevent you from bowing to the idols of the day.’”
“The minute your Christianity causes you to oppose same-sex marriage or causes you to oppose abortion, or causes you to oppose so-called ‘gender-affirming care,’ and so on and so forth, those things that really are the idols of the culture today — when your Christianity steps into that realm, that’s the minute that you experience the various forms of opposition and potentially persecution.”
Salem Books
According to Baucham, in post-Christian America, only certain versions of Christianity are “acceptable,” the “watered down social gospel, the food bank, and liberal political activist kind of version of Christianity.”
“These things have always been OK because they remove the offense of the Gospel,” he said. “Once the offense of the Gospel is there, then all of a sudden, we’re outside the camp.”
The early Church, the pastor said, knew how and when to draw lines because they were outsiders in the larger cultural context. In contrast, Christians in the Christian West have been the dominant ideology for a long time, shaping the culture and assuming that everyone else shares their perspectives.
With the cultural shift away from Christianity, Baucham contended, Christians are now unsure how to respond and navigate in a world where their assumptions are no longer dominant but perceived as detestable.
“We don’t know how to respond. We really don’t know what to do. We don’t know how to play the game when it’s not in our stadium,” he said. “We have no idea how to approach people and culture when our assumptions are not only no longer dominant but are perceived as vile and completely detestable by our culture. We have a tendency to recoil and be caught off guard.”
Much of the problem stems from within the modern church itself, said Baucham, who previously led Grace Family Baptist Church in Texas. He contends that many pastors in the West have contributed to the challenge by shifting away from Gospel-centered foundations toward gathering people based on non-essential commonalities.
“We begin to build churches — and really, I use that term loosely because, in many instances, they aren’t churches — and gather people based on commonalities that were not Gospel-centered. We gathered people because we liked the same kind of music or we were in the same social class. We had those things as our foundation instead of having the Gospel as our foundation.”
Perhaps the biggest culprits in removing biblical truth from society, according to Baucham, are universities and places of higher education. In his book, he highlights the need for Christians to be aware of the biases present in academia, an environment he said not only promotes godless agendas but “despises” the Gospel.
“Not only does the Academy despise the Gospel, but the Academy also despises the biblical worldview more broadly,” he told CP. “For example, if you’re a person who believes that there is a God who created the world — forget Young Earth, just a person who believes that God created the world — you don’t deserve to breathe, let alone call yourself an academic. The Academy not only despises the Gospel but a Christian worldview, Christian cosmology, Christian morality.”
The Academy is the “church of the modern age,” he said, adding: “The Academy is where we find the priests of the modern age. The Academy is where you go in order to experience the sacraments of the modern age. It is the church of the secular humanist, postmodern, and Neo Marxist worldview. Biblical Christianity stands in stark opposition to that particular religion and those gatekeepers.”
In light of this reality, believers must draw a line in the sand, like the early apostles, Baucham said, and this begins with Christians in the West recognizing that their historical dominance and cultural influence have been remarkable but not the norm throughout Christian history.
“We have to recognize we’ve had a great run. And we need to praise God for that and pray that that great run is not just completely over, but we need to recognize it for what it is,” he said.
“We need to recognize that this opposition does not mean that we’ve done something wrong,” he said. “One of the misconceptions is that we’ve experienced this great run because we’ve been somehow unusual and special and remarkable. And we’re not; we’re no more godly, we’re no more special, we’re no more remarkable than people who live in places where they’re persecuted, and where the Gospel has never really taken root or taken hold. We’re just providentially placed in this particular setting. We have to remove this notion that somehow we’ve been great and we’ve deserved the favor that we’ve experienced.”
Baucham urges Christians to prepare for the opposition they will face in a post-Christian culture by knowing what they believe and being ready to defend their faith. He encourages believers to be prepared to face the consequences of standing firm in their beliefs, even if it means unpleasant repercussions.
The pastor, whose 2011 book Family Driven Faith tackles how to raise sons and daughters to walk with God, highlighted the role of parents in spiritual formation. He emphasized the responsibility of raising children to know and fear the Lord, especially in today’s ever-shifting cultural landscape.
“We need to get our children out of the government schools,” he said, citing Luke 6:40. “We’ve got a lot of people going to war with the school system today because of the things that we see that are outrageous. But there have been outrageous things that we haven’t seen for decades, and this is just the tip of the iceberg. We need to not only be serious about discipling our children in terms of teaching them what thus saith the Lord, but also be serious about discipling our children in terms of giving them a full Christian education, bathed in a Christian worldview so that they can be prepared to face this culture as opposed to baptized in it.”
Biblical truth never changes regardless of the shifts in culture, Baucham stressed. He expressed hope that his book will awaken and challenge faithful Christians and encourage them to stay firm in their faith despite challenges.
“My hope is always that people will see, hear and encounter the person and work of Jesus Christ, and that they will see the powerful implications and applications of the truth of the Gospel in what I write,” he said.
“Ultimately, I hope it will wake up some people who need to be awakened in this moment, that it will encourage some people who need to be encouraged and to be reminded that there are hundreds of prophets who haven’t bent the knee to Baal, and that it will bolster and equip those who are willing to stand in the midst of this opposition.”
The Ever-Loving Truth: Can Faith Survive in a Post-Christian Culture? will be released on Sept. 16.

Former President Donald Trump offered appreciation for the support he has received after again being indicted by the Biden administration’s Department of Justice.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — As news dropped that former President Donald Trump was facing a third federal indictment, Democrats were quick to explain that no American citizen is above the law they only selectively enforce.
“Absolutely no one is exempt, unless we say so,” said Attorney General Merrick Garland. “Even the President is subject to the law, except in cases where I decide he can totally do whatever he wants without any consequences whatsoever.”
Public outcry has continued over indictments of Trump, with many people pointing out that Trump always seems to be indicted right after another Biden family corruption bombshell drops. “Funny how that happens, isn’t it?” said Mr. Garland. “Total coincidence. The fact of the matter is that Mr. Trump is not above the law. As for President Biden and his family, well — hey! Is that a bobcat over there?!” Garland then sprinted out of the briefing room while reporters were looking the other way.
In order to make the disparate enforcement of the law less confusing, the Department of Justice announced they will build a new, two-tiered office building for prosecuting people of differing political parties. “Labeling the two tiers of the justice system more clearly should help with all the confusion,” explained Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. “In the left building, the prosecutors hand you a card that gives you immunity from being indicted for any crime, forever. In the right building, prosecutors will beat you senseless, kill your dog, and frame you for murder. Finally, people will know exactly what to expect.”
At publishing time, Kim Jong-Un had reportedly berated Biden for making prosecution of his political opponents too obvious.
