81:11 my people did not listen God has listened to Israel and rescued them (v. 7), but Israel refused to listen (v. 8). Since Israel would not listen to God, He let them fall into disaster so that they would come to their senses.[1]
11. But my people hearkened not to my voice. God now complains, that the Israelites, whom he endeavoured gently to allure to him, despised his friendly invitation; yea, that although he had for a long time continued to exhort them, they always shut their ears against his voice. It is not a rebellion of one day which he deplores: he complains, that from the very beginning they were always a stupid and hardened people, and that they continued to persevere in the same obstinacy. It is assuredly monstrous perverseness to exclude God from obtaining access to us, and to refuse to give him a hearing, when he is ready to enter into covenant with us, making the terms almost equal on both sides. To leave them no room for extenuating their guilt under the pretence of ignorance, he adds, that he was rejected with avowed and deliberate contempt: Israel would none of me. From this it is evident, that their minds were bewitched by the god of this world.[2]

Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power. (Psalm 110:3)
Blessed be the God of grace that it is so! He has a people whom He has chosen from of old to be His peculiar portion. These by nature have wills as stubborn as the rest of the froward sons of Adam; but when the day of His power comes and grace displays its omnipotence, they become willing to repent and to believe in Jesus. None are saved unwillingly, but the will is made sweetly to yield itself. What a wondrous power is this, which never violates the will and yet rules it! God does not break the lock, but He opens it by a master key which He alone can handle.
Now are we willing to be, to do, or to suffer as the Lord wills. If at any time we grow rebellious, He has but to come to us with power, and straightway we run in the way of His commands with all our hearts. May this be a day of power with me as to some noble effort for the glory of God and the good of my fellowmen! Lord, I am willing; may I not hope that this is a day of Thy power? I am wholly at Thy disposal; willing, yea, eager, to be used of Thee for Thy holy purposes. O Lord, let me not have to cry, “To will is present with me, but how to perform that which I would, I find not”; but give me power as Thou givest me will.

Thought
Jesus came so that the last could be first, the sick could be healed, the sinners could be saved, and the lost could be found. That was his purpose: to fix that which was broken — not just us, but our world, our humanity, and all that goes with it. So how can we wear the name of Jesus and not live with his passion and purpose toward what we see lost in our world?
Prayer
O loving Father and Almighty God, please stir a holy passion in your people, and especially in me, so that we may more nearly reflect Jesus’ purpose in our lives, our families, and our churches. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

I grew up wanting to be perfect. I’ve no one else to blame for this but myself. I hungered for people’s approval of me. I longed for them to affirm what I did and who I was. I had huge expectations for myself and for everyone else around me. If people didn’t say just the right thing about what I had done or if they overlooked it, I would live in a puddle of despair. If they did value it than I would live on a mountain top high for a couple of days and then be right back in the puddle once again looking for affirmation and approval. It became my insatiable quest.
My life looked a lot like a cup with a hole in the bottom of it. The more I had poured into it, the more poured out of it. When more was poured in the fuller I felt but it would be a false sense of fullness as it would eventually seep out the bottom and I would be left empty once again.
It was a thirst I couldn’t quench and a hunger I could never satisfy.
Jesus said to the woman at the well in John 4, . . .
“Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” (John 4.13-14)
The woman at the well had the same problem I had, she sought her identity, worth and value from the people in her life. She was on an insatiable quest to be filled and she looked for it in all the wrong places. She believed, like I believed, people were the answer to this voracious thirst so she ran around holding out her cup wanting man after man to fill it, only to be left empty in the end.
It wasn’t until she met THE MAN, the perfect man, the one who could truly satisfy the thirst in her heart where she was finally fulfilled and the ravenous thirst was gone! Jesus met her needs in a way no one else could. She found her worth and value in Him and she no longer needed to look anywhere else.
Do you see what Jesus said to her? “If you drink from the water I give, you will never thirst again!”
Jesus plugs up the hole in our heart and produces in us a fresh bubbling spring that never runs dry. The insatiable quest is over! The search for satisfaction is done.
So how do we drink from the water Jesus gives? How do we let Him fill us, a God we can’t see, instead of looking to people, we can see, to satisfy us?
We must start with what we think. Because what we think on, turns into a belief, which then in turn governs the way we live. In Romans 12.2 it says,
“ . . . let God transform you by changing the way you think.”
If we are to begin to find our value and worth in Jesus it first starts in our mind.
In the movie the Help, Abileen says to Mae Mobley throughout the movie. “You is smart. You is kind. You is important.” Why does she do this? I think she wants Mae Mobley to know deep down inside who she is no matter where she goes, no matter what happens to her, no matter what anyone one says to her.
I believe God has a similar message for us. He wants us to know deep down inside who we are, no matter where we go, no matter what happens to us, no matter what anyone says to us.
He wants you to know . . . You is special. (Psalm 139.13,14) You is MINE. (Galatians 4:7) You is Important! (1 John 4.9)
When we think on this. When we dwell on these truths, we will begin to believe we are special, we are His and we are important and we will no longer need to quest for our identity and worth in other people or in what we do. We won’t need to because we are full up with Him.
He has plugged up the hole in our heart and we are finally satisfied!

CRUZ: Legally I see every single day the evidence is growing and growing and growing. And we’re also seeing Jake Tapper and Elizabeth Warren, neither the corporate media nor any Congressional Democrat cares at all whether the president of the United States received millions of dollars in bribes from foreign nationals. Even that little exchange there where Jake Tapper asked, well gosh, it was sort of influence peddling and isn’t that bothersome. No, those are not the allegations, Jake, you’re a journalist, or you are supposed to be. The allegations are bribery. And it wasn’t just Hunter selling access, it was Hunter selling official favors from his father, Joe Biden. Let’s go to what that FD-1023 specifically says, the FBI form, a confidential human source that had been reliable previously to the FBI came forward and said hey, that the oligarch who owns Burisma paid $5 million to Hunter Biden and $5 million to Joe Biden in exchange for Joe Biden’s help getting rid of the prosecutor that was investigating Burisma and investigating that oligarch. Now, what is bribery? The essence of bribery is a quid pro quo, we remember from the first impeachment, the media — Jake knows what a quid pro quo is, he talked about it incessantly when it concerned Donald Trump. A quid pro quo is Latin for this for that. Bribery is paying something of value in exchange for an official favor. Now, the quo we know happened because as you noted, Joe Biden has confessed to it in a video interview where he said he went to Ukraine, he held hostage a billion dollars in U.S. loan guarantees and then demanded of the Ukrainian government fire the prosecutor that is investigating Burisma investigating the oligarch. We know the quo happened. The only question was did the quid happen? Did they pay $10 million for him to do so? If so, Joe Biden is guilty of bribery, Hunter is guilty of selling bribes, selling official favors from his father, and if that is the case Joe Biden should be impeached, he should be removed from office, he should be prosecuted and he should go to prison. And he should share a cell with Hunter for corrupting the government of the United States.

US Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that US Attorney for Delaware David Weiss was appointed Special Counsel in the Hunter Biden investigation.
Weiss asked for special counsel status in the Hunter Biden case.
“This appointment confirms my commitment to provide Mr. Weiss all the resources he requests,” Garland said. “It also reaffirms that Mr. Weiss has the authority he needs to conduct a thorough investigation and to continue to take the steps he deems appropriate independently based only on the facts and the law.”
Mark Levin pointed out a special counsel must be chosen from outside of the Justice Department.
“The Special Counsel shall be selected from outside the United States Government” according to Justice Department regulations.
David Weiss is currently a US Attorney in Delaware.
“A special counsel must be chosen from outside the DOJ. So how did Garland appoint Weiss special counsel?” Mark Levin said on Friday.
Merrick Garland refused to answer any questions after he announced a special counsel investigation.
This is one massive cover-up operation anyway.
James Comer accused Merrick Garland of stonewalling Congressional oversight with his decision to appoint a special counsel.
“This move by AG Garland is part of the Justice Department’s efforts to attempt a Biden family coverup in light of GOP House Oversight’s mounting evidence of President Biden’s role in his family’s schemes selling ‘the brand’ for millions of dollars to foreign nationals.” Chairman Comer said.
Comer continued, “Let’s be clear what today’s move is really about. The Biden Justice Department is trying to stonewall congressional oversight as we have presented evidence to the American people about the Biden family’s corruption. The House Oversight Committee will continue to follow the Biden family’s money trail…”
