Written Revelation – Why We Need the Bible | Bible Apologetics – A DAILY DEVOTIONAL

Did you know that God reveals Himself to us in two ways? The first is natural revelation. (Psalm 19:1) says: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.” In other words, you can’t look at the beauty and vastness of our universe and not conclude that there must be somebody who made all of this.

In addition (Romans 1:18-20) states: “The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” Thus, God’s magnificent creation speaks of His eternal power and divine nature. But the question that you now may be thinking is can man just accept natural revelation and be saved?

The simple answer is no. As Christians we know that Jesus says in (John 14:6): “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” And we also read in (Acts 4:12): “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” My friends we need to know Jesus to be saved and that’s why God has given us this second form of revelation called special revelation. Special revelation today consists of the 66 books of the Holy Bible and it is a written revelation. Not only is it written but it is complete. Ever since the fall of man in the garden, sin has entered the world and sadly has clouded man’s mind and alienated him from God. As a result, natural revelation is not enough because man is now spiritually dead to God.

According to John MacArthur: “Now man still had the consciousness of God, but that was only to lead him to the Word of God. It isn’t enough just to know that God is, unless you know who He is and what it is that He desires. So, the consciousness of God is to lead men to find the revelation of God that is specific. By gradual steps, God revealed Himself in special revelation.”1 But why did God choose to write down his revelation to us in a book. Couldn’t He have done it in some other way? Yes, and He did in the past before the Scriptures were complete through such means as prophecy, dreams, visions, directly speaking to man, and even miracles. But now that His revelation is complete, He chose to have it written down for several important reasons.

First, written revelation is much more efficient than oral and once it is written it can’t be changed. Second, a written record groups all the messages from God together and makes it much easier to refer back to. Third, God wanted His revelation written down because in this way it would serve to be independent of the orator or writer. For example, if the writer were to die his words would still live on. Fourth, the Bible could travel throughout time and to every place on earth in written form. In another devotion we will share why you can trust a 2,000-year-old book even today, but for now we should be grateful that the Bible has this quality of mobility. And fifth, a written record allows God to write down and leave us with all the revelation we need to discover that we are sinners and need a Savior – Jesus Christ.

I don’t know about you but I am so grateful that God has left us with the ultimate guidebook on how to lead a godly life, know intimate details about who God is, and shows us the way to find our way back to God. Natural revelation showcases the glory of God but special revelation revives us from spiritual deadness unto spiritual life through Jesus Christ.

What is the sinner’s prayer and is it biblical? | Christian Apologetics & Research Ministry

The sinner’s prayer refers to a prayer that a person recites where he trusts in Jesus and accepts Him as his personal savior. The prayer typically involves confessing one’s sins, committing to repentance, and asking Jesus to “come into my heart” to be saved. The wording of the prayer varies, but the intention is to receive Christ and trust Him. So the question is whether or not this is biblical. Yes, it is, and no, it is not. Let me explain.

A formula does not save us. We don’t recite words as if their recitation saves us. Instead, we are saved from the righteous judgment of God by a faithful appeal to the work of Christ (not by our works). Whether or not it’s called the sinner’s prayer doesn’t matter. It is certainly biblical to pray to Jesus (John 14:14) and receive Him (John 1:12). Furthermore, the Bible says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that he’s been raising the dead will be saved (Rom. 10:9-10).

But I must include this comment. The phrase, “Ask Jesus into your heart,” is problematic. There is no biblical mandate to do that. But I understand the sentiment. Christians want sinners to trust Christ and to have Jesus live in them (John 14:23). Plus, since we are to receive Christ (John 1:12), sometimes people summarize this by saying, “Ask Jesus into your heart.” I never use that phrase. Instead, I tell people they need to receive Christ (John 1:12) and trust Him (Romans 10:9-10). I tell them that they must recognize that Jesus is the only way by which they can be forgiven of their sins (John 14:6). I tell them to seek Him. After all, Jesus has all authority in heaven and earth (Matthew 28:18). I point them to Jesus and tell them they can pray to Him and ask Him to forgive them of all their sins.

But there’s a point I need to add. I always tell them that they need to count the cost. After all, that is what Jesus said to do (Luke 14:28). I tell people that they need to understand that once they become a Christian, God will work with them and sanctify them. He will gradually change them to be more like Christ. All right, so back to the main topic.

A sinner’s prayer in the Bible

There is a sinner’s prayer in the Bible. It’s found in Luke 18:9-14. In that section of Scripture, Jesus told a parable about two men, a Pharisee and a tax-gatherer. The Pharisee went to the temple to pray and thank God that he was not a thief, an adulterer, or like a tax collector. He fasted twice a week and paid tithes. But the tax collector wasn’t even willing to lift his eyes to heaven and instead said, “God, be merciful to me the sinner” (Luke 18:13). Jesus said that the tax collector was the one who was justified and not the Pharisee. The point is there is a sinner’s prayer in the Bible, and it resulted in salvation.

Salvation is not by a formula

On the other hand, we need to be careful. Salvation is not based on someone reciting a set of words, for example. Let’s say there is a church service. The pastor asks people to come forward to receive Christ and then says, “Repeat these words after me. ‘Jesus, please come into my heart and forgive me of all my sins.’” Reciting a set of words does not guarantee salvation. The person who has prayed like this must put his trust in Jesus, not in the prayer. Far too often, people say that when they were younger, they recited the sinner’s prayer, and so they are saved. But, they don’t live like a Christian (1 John 2:4). So it would mean they were never saved. The danger of “The Sinner’s Prayer” is that people might believe they are saved because they recited a set of words in a prayer. But that’s not the case.

Instead, were justified by an appeal to God by faith alone in Christ alone (Romans 4:1-5; 10:9-10).  That aappeal can be worded in different ways. But the key thing here is that the person is confessing his or her need for forgiveness of sins and deliverance for the righteous judgment of God. In so doing he or she recognizes that Christ is the only way and he or she confesses him as Lord and Savior and asked Jesus to forgive him or her of all of your sins. That is okay. That’s biblical.

Conclusion

So, on one hand, the sinner’s prayer is biblical, as we’ve seen in Luke 18:9-14. It’s okay to pray and ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins. But on the other hand, we are not to put our trust in reciting a set of words that we think saves us. We must be careful and teach people to trust in Christ, not a prayer formula.

Having Assurance of Salvation | Theology & Life

David grew up in the church. If the church doors were open, David was there. This was mainly because his father was the pastor, but still—David was in church nearly everyday.

As a teenager, he became increasingly aware of his sin and, one evening, decided to walk the aisle during Wednesday night youth group. The gospel was finally becoming real to him and he was well aware of his need for a Savior. On that wonderful night, David repented of his sins and trusted in the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Decades later and David is still following Jesus. He goes to church, prays, and even preaches for his church on occasion. He communes with the risen Lord. But if he’s honest, he has a major problem. David has little to no assurance of salvation.

He’s spoken with his pastor, with his fellow church members, and even peruses various parachurch ministry websites to seek more answers. And yet, when rubber meets the road, he’s left confused, frustrated, and discouraged. He knows he believes in Jesus, yet too often he finds himself asking, “Am I even a Christian?” He knows he walked the aisle in high school, but there’s still something nagging him, a hindrance in his relationship with Jesus that is too tough to get over.

Is This You?

Did I just describe your Christian walk? Did your ears perk up, knowing this is your situation? If it is, that is perfectly okay. All Christians, to some degree, will struggle with assurance of salvation. But some will struggle with assurance so heavily, so severely, that it eats at them day and night with no end in sight. Many claim Christians can lose, or even give back, their salvation. That is unbiblical. Christians can, however, lose the assurance of their salvation. When we take our gaze off of Jesus and the glory of His finished work, our assurance of salvation sails away and we are stuck wondering whether we truly believe or not.

Believer, is that you? God wants you to know you have eternal life (1 John 5:13). Having assurance of salvation is possible, indeed, attainable. Below are (at least) three questions to ask that will help with assurance.

Do You Desire Sanctification?

When God saves a person, He also plants within them the desire to become more like His Son. Just as natural as breathing, being made more into the image and likeness of Jesus is something all Christians should desire. So, you must ask yourself, Do I sincerely desire to be sanctified, to be made more holy, more like Jesus?

If you answer Yes, that’s a sign of God’s saving grace. No unbeliever truly cares to be like Jesus. They may give Him lip service, but it’s all superficial. In the end, they are apathetic to the things of God. If you answer No, however, perhaps it’s time to examine your faith.

Even if we desire to become more like Jesus, we must remember sanctification, unlike justification, is a gradual process. Whereas being declared right with God is instantaneous, becoming more like the Son is a journey throughout our entire lives. Therefore, we must not despair when our sanctification feels stunted.

Do You Hate Your Sin?

When God saves a person, He changes their desires. An individual who once loved sin and hated God, now loves God and hates sin. So, you must ask yourself, Do I genuinely hate my sin?

If Yes, then you are on the right track. Hating sin is certainly evidence of regeneration. Because on the flip side, if you answer No, then you should reflect on whether you truly believe or not. Christians, perhaps, will have moments or periods of falling into sin—that will happen because we’re still sinners. But the Christian’s attitude toward sin should be one of hatred, of malice, or vitriol—and it’s also crucial in our attempts to kill it.

Puritan John Owen said:

Hatred of sin as sin, not only as galling or disquieting, a sense of the love of Christ in the cross, lie at the bottom of all true spiritual mortification.

Owen is correct. Christians must hate sin.

However, we must be careful not to put too much weight on this answer, for we do not base assurance of salvation solely on our hatred for sin or a changed life. Must both of these things be present in the Christian? Absolutely. But neither are the sole basis for our salvific assurance.

Are You Looking to Jesus?

The ultimate foundation of our assurance of salvation is not our ability to hate sin or our desire to be made more like Jesus. No, the cornerstone of our assurance rests in the person and work of Jesus Christ. So, you must ask yourself, Am I trusting in the finished work of Christ?

The basis of our assurance lies in the perfect, complete work of Jesus. It’s not the intensity of our faith or the quality of our good works, but Jesus’s work alone.

D.A. Carson said this in a popular sermon:

We overcome him by the blood of the lamb. There is the ground of all human assurance before God. There is the ground of our faith. Not guaranteeing intensity of faith—so fickle are we. It’s not the intensity of our faith but the object of our faith that saves. They overcome him on the ground of the blood of the lamb.

Friend, are you weary? Believer, are you discouraged? Christian, are you frustrated? Look to Jesus Christ and His finished work for you as the grounds for your assurance. Yes, look at what God has done in your life as evidence, but the foundation of your assurance must be on Jesus and Him alone.

We can have assurance of salvation because our salvation rests not on our good deeds or fickle faith, but solely on the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. And that is the best news!

August 13 Evening Verse of The Day

1:8 Two more references to the instruction affirm the key importance of God’s revelation. Study and learning of it are to form so much a part of one’s life that the words are fully obeyed as in Dt 6:6–9. The stylistic frame of God’s promised presence in Jos 1:5, 9 indicates that Joshua’s success will come because God is with him, enabling him to read and observe God’s Word (Eph 2:8–10).[1]

1:8 Book of the Law. See 8:34–35; 23:6; 24:26; Deut. 31:24–26.

meditate. Cf. Ps. 1:2. From meditation on the Book of the Law flow all the consequences of the promise already seen in vv. 6, 7: obedience and success (v. 8), faith and the presence of God (v. 9). See “Understanding the Word of God” at Ps. 119:34.[2]

1:8 The scroll of this law Likely refers to the laws of Deuteronomy.

you will meditate on it day and night Yahweh commands Joshua specifically, not the nation. Copies of the Torah were not available to the populace; the only copy available was likely kept in the tent of meeting.[3]

1:8 This book of the law. A reference to Scripture, specifically Genesis through Deuteronomy, written by Moses (cf. Ex 17:14; Dt 31:9–11, 24). meditate on it. To read with thoughtfulness, to linger over God’s Word. The parts of Scripture they possessed have always been the main spiritual food of those who served Him, e.g., Job (Job 23:12); the psalmist (Ps 1:1–3); Jeremiah (Jer 15:16); and Jesus (Jn 4:34). prosperous … success. The promise of God’s blessing on the great responsibility God has given Joshua. The principle here is central to all spiritual effort and enterprise, namely the deep understanding and application of Scripture at all times.[4]

1:8 — “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it .… ”

The Lord gave Joshua the same command he issued to future Israelite kings in Deuteronomy 17:19—he was to meditate on the Word of God every day. Knowledge of God’s will is crucial to doing it.[5]

8. This book of the Law, &c. Assiduous meditation on the Law is also commanded; because, whenever it is intermitted, even for a short time, many errors readily creep in, and the memory becomes rusted, so that many, after ceasing from the continuous study of it, engage in practical business, as if they were mere ignorant tyros. God therefore enjoins his servant to make daily progress, and never cease, during the whole course of his life, to profit in the Law. Hence it follows that those who hold this study in disdain, are blinded by intolerable arrogance.

But why does he forbid him to allow the Law to depart from his mouth rather than from his eyes? Some interpreters understand that the mouth is here used by synecdoche for face; but this is frigid. I have no doubt that the word used is peculiarly applicable to a person who was bound to prosecute the study in question, not only for himself individually, but for the whole people placed under his rule. He is enjoined, therefore, to attend to the teaching of the Law, that in accordance with the office committed to him, he may bring forward what he has learned for the common benefit of the people. At the same time he is ordered to make his own docility a pattern of obedience to others. For many, by talking and discoursing, have the Law in their mouth, but are very bad keepers of it. Both things, therefore, are commanded, that by teaching others, he may make his own conduct and whole character conformable to the same rule.

What follows in the second clause of the verse shews, that everything which profane men endeavour to accomplish in contempt of the word of God, must ultimately fail of success, and that however prosperous the commencement may sometimes seem to be, the issue will be disastrous; because prosperous results can be hoped for only from the divine favour, which is justly withheld from counsels rashly adopted, and from all arrogance of which contempt of God himself is the usual accompaniment. Let believers, therefore, in order that their affairs may turn out as they wish, conciliate the divine blessing alike by diligence in learning and by fidelity in obeying.

In the end of the verse, because the term used is ambiguous, as I have already observed, the sentence is repeated, or a second promise is added. The latter is the view I take. For it was most suitable, that after the promised success, Joshua should be reminded that men never act skilfully and regularly except in so far as they allow themselves to be ruled by the word of God. Accordingly, the prudence which believers learn from the word of God, is opposed to the confidence of those who deem their own sense sufficient to guide them aright.[6]

Ver. 8.—This book of the law. The law was, therefore, embodied in a written document when the Book of Joshua was written; and as the antiquity of this Book may be regarded as proved, we may quote thus an early authority for the genuineness of at least some portions of the Pentateuch. There was a “book of the law” in Joshua’s time, according to this early testimony, and we may conclude from vers. 3–7 that Deuteronomy formed a part of it (see also Deut. 17:19 for a similar precept. And for the fact see Deut. 31:24–26). Meditate therein (cf. Psa. 1:2, 63:7, 143:5, in the original. Also Deut. 31:26). Observe to do. Literally, keep to do, thus impressing on us the care necessary in deciding on our actions. All that is written therein (cf. for the expression Deut. 28:58, 61; 29:19, 20, 26; 30:10). Shall have good success. The word is the same as is translated “prosper” above, and not the same as that rendered “prosperous” in this verse. “Men,” says Calvin, “never act skilfully, except in so far as they allow themselves to be ruled by the Word of God.” Have I not commanded thee? “An emphatic inquiry is a stronger form of affirmation, and is generally employed by those who wish to infuse into another courage and alacrity” (Michaelis). Moreover repetition is a remarkable feature of Hebrew composition, as we may observe from the second chapter of Genesis onward, and is designed to give emphasis to what is commanded or related. Calvin would lay stress on I: “Have not I commanded thee?” But this is not borne out by the Hebrew.[7]

1:8 Book of the Law. “Law” (torah) occurs nine times in the book (1:7, 8; 8:31, 32, 34 [2×]; 22:5; 23:6; 24:26) and means “instruction,” often given in law collections (8:31; 23:6; 24:26). This probably refers to the written laws derived from Deuteronomy (30:10; 31:24–26), although Moses recorded other laws and events (e.g., Exod. 17:14; 24:4; 34:27; Num. 33:2).

meditate on it day and night. “Meditate” (hagah) does not refer to a repetition of mystic words (mantra) or to reaching a heightened level of spiritual awareness. It describes contemplation for the purpose of understanding and obedience. The merism “day and night” means “continually” (cf. 2 Tim. 1:3). Vigilant study of God’s instructions must characterize the king (Deut. 17:19) and the wise person (Ps. 1:2).[8]

What Will You Be Doing? :: By Nathele Graham

The Rapture is drawing nearer with each passing day. Every Christian should be eagerly watching the signs and yearning to hear that call from our Lord. When will it happen? That’s impossible to predict, but Jesus gave us a summary of the signs to watch for that would lead to the Tribulation; those final seven years will follow the Rapture. As we see the signs all falling into place, we can see just how close we are to going Home.

There are also signs disclosed in Ezekiel, Daniel, Revelation, and more. Most Christians don’t study Scripture, so they’re blind to what’s swiftly coming. The nightly news will report things from a secular view, but if you filter their reports through the lens of Scripture, you might find some interesting facts. None of us know when we will be standing before Jesus, but either by death or by the Rapture, it is certain we will be there one day. The question is, when your time comes, what will you be doing?

As we go through this life, it can become easy to think like the secular people around us. Gossiping with co-workers or losing patience with people who don’t come up to our idea of perfection. Friends may tempt you to participate in activities that Scripture tells us are sins, or we might just selfishly decide not to help someone in need. We all make choices as to how we approach life.

The Apostle Paul encouraged the Corinthians to take thoughts captive.

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds:) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled” (2 Corinthians 10:3-6).

Will you be acting or thinking in disobedience to God when you’re called Home? Or will you be standing firmly upon God’s word? It’s easy to try to please friends and family, but those people cannot bring salvation to you. Only Christ’s blood brings salvation, and He deserves our obedience. Jesus told us very clearly that sin begins with our thoughts.

“But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart” (Matthew 5:28).

This also applies to women lusting after men. James had very good insight about temptation. “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God, for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man. But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived it bringeth forth sin and sin, when it is finished, bringeth for death” (James 1:13-15).

When you leave this world, will you be lusting after a sinful desire? Will you yield to the temptation of evil? Take your thoughts captive, and don’t give Satan a chance to ruin your life.

We all have to grow up and mature. Children react to situations in ways that are very immature. If another child takes Billy’s toy, Billy reacts by violence or yelling. Billy, and all of us, must learn to share and find a better way to resolve the situation than anger and violence.

“When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things” (1 Corinthians 13:11).

Good parents will guide children into maturity in everyday life and maturity in their Christian walk. A Christian father should be the example to his son as to how to be a man and an example to his daughter as to what to look for in a husband. The same with a mother. God, our Father, gives us guidance in living, and as His children, we need to be obedient. There are many temptations, but if God’s word is written on our hearts, we will make choices that honor Him. In that way, whatever we are doing or thinking at the time we are called Home, we won’t be ashamed. Parents, be sure you have given your child the firm foundation of Christ. Lead by example so you and your children won’t have any shame when meeting Jesus.

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12).

We are born with a sin nature, but by accepting Christ’s sacrifice, our sins are forgiven. We must repent and turn from sin.

Where did that sin nature come from? Eve chose to converse with Satan and was deceived into sin, but Adam chose to sin. “For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression” (1 Timothy 2:13-14).

This stumbles many people. Paul isn’t saying that women aren’t important to God’s work or lesser people than men, but he is saying that men are to be the leaders.

In writing these commentaries, I’m very cautious. My husband began this ministry, and God is allowing me to continue writing commentaries. I only study the men whom Ron trusted, and thereby I stay under his authority and in tune with God’s will. What will I be doing when I’m called Home? Prayerfully, I will be serving my Lord. Will I be harboring any sinful thoughts? Probably, but my desire is to take those thoughts captive and bring “… into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5b).

None of us can stand before God on our own merit. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God” (Romans 3:23-25).

We are all sinners, but Christians are saved by grace. If you say, “I’m a Christian,” shouldn’t your actions speak louder than your words? Works won’t save us, but they are important in serving Christ.

Jesus said, “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat upon that house and it fell: and great was the fall of it” (Matthew 7:24-27).

We all have a foundation in life. Either a secular foundation built upon sand that will fall when storms hit, or the wiser foundation built upon the Rock. The Apostle Paul carries this truth into his first letter to the Corinthians.

“For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is” (1 Corinthians 3:11-13).

If you think you can accept Christ and then live a worldly, self-serving life, you need to think again. What you do with Christ’s free gift of salvation will affect your eternity. You won’t lose salvation, but you will lose rewards.

“If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire” (1 Corinthians 3:14-15).

What will you be doing when you’re called Home? Will you be building upon a foundation that is firmly set upon the Rock, Jesus Christ? Or will you be building on a foundation of sand with wood, hay, and stubble? The rewards you earn for things done for God’s glory will bring eternal joy.

Brothers and sisters, we cannot know when we will find ourselves standing before our Lord. Will you have a heart attack? Maybe a car wreck will send you Home or some other unexpected event. I’ve known many people who have died unexpectedly. Some of those people leave no doubt in my mind that they are with the Lord eternally because they lived their faith so everyone could see. What if you don’t die? What if the Rapture happens?

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed” (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).

You won’t have time to go make apologies to someone you’ve caused trouble. You won’t have time to go do that good deed you chose not to do because it interfered with your fun. You will be doing something. I hope you’ll be serving the Lord.

I know what I’d like to be doing when He calls me Home. I’d love to be sharing the Gospel. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be sharing God’s truth with the person who is the last to accept Christ during the Church age?

“For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles come in” (Romans 11:25).

There will be one last Gentile to come to faith. Time is getting short, and if your grandmother, uncle, cousin, or friend hasn’t accepted Christ for salvation, they won’t “go to a better place” after death. Share the Gospel with everybody you can, and be a source of Christian encouragement to those who have given their life to Christ.

What will you be doing when God calls you Home? Make sure what you’re doing is something that glorifies Christ.

God bless you all,

Nathele Graham

Let Trials Bless | VCY

Knowing that tribulation worketh patience. (Romans 5:3)

This is a promise in essence if not in form. We have need of patience, and here we see the way of getting it. It is only by enduring that we learn to endure, even as by swimming men learn to swim. You could not learn that art on dry land, nor learn patience without trouble. Is it not worth while to suffer tribulation for the sake of gaining that beautiful equanimity of mind which quietly acquiesces in all the will of God?

Yet our text sets forth a singular fact, which is not according to nature but is supernatural. Tribulation in and of itself worketh petulance, unbelief, and rebellion. It is only by the sacred alchemy of grace that it is made to work in us patience. We do not thresh the wheat to lay the dust: yet the Rail of tribulation does this upon God’s floor. We do not toss a man about in order to give him rest, and yet so the Lord dealeth with His children. Truly this is not the manner of man but greatly redounds to the glory of our all-wise God.

Oh, for grace to let my trials bless me! Why should I wish to stay their gracious operation? Lord, I ask Thee to remove my affliction, but I beseech Thee ten times more to remove my impatience. Precious Lord Jesus, with Thy cross engrave the image of Thy patience on my heart.

hands surrender praise pray

While I know that prayer is wonderful, and that prayer not only changes things but also changes you;
while I know that the man of prayer can go right in, and take the blessing from God;
yet I tell you that if we grasp the truth that we have before us,
we shall find that faith is the greatest inheritance of all.

In your hour of need, you must look up towards God in faith;
that’s where you can find strength, because you can depend on Him,
for He cannot fail you.

Looking through Faith’s Eyes | Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God.

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, says the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:8-9

Our faith must be the eyes we use to see what we cannot see. The unseen, the unknown, the questions without answers…

(If God had put every answer in the Bible, we wouldn’t need faith, and our Bible would be so big we couldn’t carry it!)

God told us what He wanted us to know and called on us to believe by faith as we look at who He is, and what He did tell us, and what He has already done. We can do this by studying our Bible and also by recalling His work in our lives and those around us.

We just have to open our eyes to see Him and remind ourselves He is in control. He is working what we cannot see. We need to look through faith’s eyes.

It is hard though because our questions can be difficult.

Why didn’t you get that job?

Why did you get that diagnosis?

Why did that business deal go south?

Why did the door close to such a great opportunity?

Why didn’t that relationship work out?

Why did that relative turn away from God?

Why doesn’t God answer this? Why isn’t He moving to change things?

Maybe we can’t see the answer for which we so deeply long…

Instead, maybe what we can choose to see—is that the answers are in His hands. The timing is in His hands. The way, the when, the how, are all in His hands. God is still on His throne. We can stay strong in our faith and understand that answers don’t have to come in our time, but may slowly unfold in ways we never imagined. Maybe we need to open our eyes and see all the possibilities on the horizon and trust that God knows best.

Do You Pray Every Day? | Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God.

If we are faithless (do not believe and are untrue to Him), He remains true, (faithful to His Word and righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself
2 Timothy 2:14

Two little girls were playing dress up in their Gramma’s attic. They were playing pretend church. The younger girl asked the other, “Jane, do you pray every day?”  The knowledgeable older child answered, “No, of course not.  Some days I don’t need anything.”

We laugh because we realize that prayer is much more than asking for our needs. But how often do we go a whole day or at least part of a day without even greeting or acknowledging our Master.

This negligence hit home to me when we were in Nigeria a few years ago. We had two wonderful weeks of ministry. We would have to pray many times a day because there were so many obstacles every day and God answered our prayers over and over again. We experienced so many miracles.

Then it was time to go home. Early in the morning, we headed for Jos airport.  After the usual waiting period and checking and rechecking of our documents, we finally boarded and had an uneventful trip to Lagos. We would be spending the day there before flying home.

It was almost noon when we checked into the hotel at Lagos and as I was standing in the hotel lobby waiting for my husband when I realized with consternation that I had not even greeted my Lord yet. Silently I talked to Him, apologized for my neglect. Thankful that even though I had ignored Him, He was still with me and was waiting for me.

Later, I wondered how long we would tag along with a friend or relative if that person would not even acknowledge our presence or talk to us?

How often do you talk to God?

Lord Jesus, I am so thankful that you are always faithful to us, that you never rude, you never ignore us or neglect us.  I pray that your Spirit would develop a longing within us for your companionship so that we would communicate with you moment by moment. That we would treat you like we want to be treated. Amen.

CBP Apprehended Nearly 40,000 Border Crossers in First Ten Days of August | The Gateway Pundit

Customs and Border Protection apprehended nearly 40,000 border crossers in the first ten days of August.

Border Patrol captured 39,324 illegal aliens during this time frame who were crossing outside legal ports of entry — an average of 5,708 apprehensions per day.

According to a report from Breitbart News, the Tucson and Rio Grande Valley Sectors reported more than 10,000 apprehensions each.

“The Tucson and Rio Grande Valley Sectors reported 10,867 and 10,465 migrant apprehensions, respectively. The five Texas-based border sectors accounted for 23,119 of the 39,324 migrant apprehensions,” Breitbart reports.

If this rate continues, nearly 200,000 illegal aliens could be caught at the border this month, an estimated 177,000 migrants.

The Wall Street Journal reports that over 130,000 illegal aliens were apprehended at the southern border in July, a third more than were caught in June.

“While arrests for illegal border crossings have increased sharply in recent weeks, they remain significantly below the 222,000 reported in December,” the report explains. “They are also lower than in the months before the Biden administration stopped enforcing the Title 42 public-health law that allowed agents to quickly turn back migrants before they could ask for asylum.”

Liberal cities, including “sanctuary cities” like New York, have been begging for federal assistance dealing with the floods of migrants overwhelming their shelter systems.

Over 90,000 border crossers have ended up in the Big Apple since last Spring, and Mayor Eric Adams announced in July that the city has “reached full capacity.”

In 2021, Adams claimed that New York City would remain a “sanctuary city” under his administration.

More recently, however, Mayor Adams has called the rising number of illegal migrants “a real burden on New Yorkers.”

Radioactive Fish Discovered Near Fukushima Renews Concerns Over Plans To Dump Nuclear Wastewater Into Ocean | ZeroHedge News

Authored by Zoey Sky via Natural News,

Japanese plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) studied a black rockfish in May and found that it contained levels of radioactive cesium that were 180 times over Japan’s regulatory limit.

The radioactive fish was caught near drainage outlets at the TEPCO plant, where three nuclear reactors melted down amidst a tsunami in March 2011. Rainwater from areas near the reactors flows into the area where the fish was caught.

The alarming discovery reignited concerns over TEPCO’s plans to start releasing 1.3 million tons of treated wastewater from the former Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant by August.

A report from July 23 showed that the problem is still unaddressed, prompting questions about how dangerous the company’s plans are for the public.

Radioactive cesium health risks

Radioactive cesium has been detected in surface water and different kinds of food, such as breast milk and pasteurized milk. The amount of radioactive cesium in food and milk depends on several factors.

The most important factor is whether or not there has been a recent fallout from a nuclear explosion, like a weapons test or an accident at a nuclear power plant.

Depending on one’s level of exposure, cesium can cause diarrhea, bleeding, nausea, vomiting, coma and death.

TEPCO wastewater has been mixed with rainwater and groundwater since the tsunami. The company admitted that fish near the drainage outlets are unsafe for consumption because the concentration of cesium in seabed sediment in the area has measured more than 100,000 becquerels per kilogram (Bq/kg). The maximum legal level is only 100 Bq/kg.

A TEPCO official explained that the company has regularly removed fish from inside the port since 2012 because contaminated water flowed into the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station port immediately after the accident.

In January 2022, a fish caught near Fukushima was found to have high levels of radiation. Authorities said that the fish had escaped from the drainage outlet.

Following the report, shipments of black rockfish caught off the coast of Fukushima prefecture were immediately suspended. As of writing, they have not been resumed.

More than 40 fish with cesium levels over the legal limit were caught in TEPCO’s port between May 2022 and May 2023. At least 90 percent of the fish were from the inner breakwater, where water flows from the area surrounding the melted TEPCO reactors.

Wastewater release approved despite potential radiological impact

The Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) in Japan and the United Nations’ International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have both approved TEPCO’s plan to release wastewater into the Pacific Ocean. The company claims the move is necessary to “secure space for decommissioning the plant.” (Related: Japan gets green light to release Fukushima radioactive water into Pacific Ocean.)

However, the process would take decades to complete using an Advanced Liquid Processing System (ALPS). Earlier in July, the IAEA said the plan would have a “negligible radiological impact” on people and the environment.

Paul Dorfman from Ireland’s Radiological Protection Advisory Committee warned that reports like the one about the contaminated rockfish are likely far from over.

Companies believing and pretending certain things are not harmful because it is convenient is “literally killing the planet,” said Celine-Marie Pascale, an American University sociologist. She added that most of the time, corporate interests “triumph at global expense.”

Meanwhile, officials in Hong Kong have declared that they will ban food imports from 10 prefectures in Japan if the release moves forward in August. Some Chinese wholesalers have already stopped accepting seafood imports from Japan.

Aside from concerns about cesium, TEPCO has admitted that ALPS, which it plans to use, may not be enough to eliminate isotopes such as cobalt, plutonium, ruthenium and strontium. The system is also unable to remove tritium, the radioactive isotope of hydrogen.

In June, Masanobu Sakamoto, president of JF Zengyoren, Japan Fisheries Cooperatives, said the group does not support the Japanese government’s stance that “an ocean release is the only solution.”

Watch the video below for the IEAA’s report on the allegedly safe Fukushima water release.

Well, it’s taking long enough, but they might finally hold him accountable.

Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky has formally called for an investigation by the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington into the testimony provided by Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, during a May 11, 2021, hearing before the United States Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.

JUST IN: Rand Paul has referred Dr. Fauci to top D.C. prosecutor for criminal charges for lying under oath about COVID origins.

Prosecute / Fauci.

The move by Paul comes just weeks after he submitted a criminal referral for Fauci with the DOJ.

In the letter, Paul accuses Fauci of denying funding gain-of-function research — research that alters viruses to make them more deadly in order to better develop defenses against them.

Paul also wrote that Fauci had been dishonest about his views on the possibility that the COVID-19 pandemic had its roots in a leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology in Wuhan, China — the so-called “lab leak” theory.

“… [T]o the press he claims to have a dispassionate view on the lab leak hypothesis, and in private he acknowledges gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology to his colleagues,” Paul wrote.

“His own colleagues have acknowledged Dr. Fauci’s inconsistency. A congressional hearing, however, is not the place for a public servant to play political games – especially when the health and well-being of American citizens is on the line,” Paul continued.

The move comes amid an ongoing debate over the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic and the potential involvement of gain-of-function research.

Paul’s request, contained in a letter addressed to Matthew Graves, U.S. attorney for Washington D.C., seeks clarity on statements made by Fauci that have raised concerns about their accuracy.

The letter invokes the potential legal consequences of providing false or misleading information to Congress, citing 18 U.S.C. § 1001, which states, that any person who “makes any materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation” as part of “any investigation or review, conducted pursuant to the authority of any committee, subcommittee, commission or office of the Congress, consistent with applicable rules of the House or Senate” is subject to criminal fines and imprisonment of up to five years.

“I warned Dr. Fauci of the criminal implications of lying to Congress and offered him an opportunity to recant his previous statement,” Paul stated in the letter.

“Dr. Fauci’s testimony is inconsistent with facts that have since come to light.”

This morning I joined @FoxNews to discuss my latest criminal referral of Anthony Fauci to the US Attorney in DC for lying under oath! pic.twitter.com/W3J3EqKlzr

— Senator Rand Paul (@SenRandPaul) August 10, 2023

The heart of the controversy lies in Dr. Fauci’s denial, before the Senate committee, of using his position at NIAID to fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

This denial contradicts subsequent revelations, including emails released by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic and findings from a Government Accountability Office report. These revelations have raised questions about the origins of COVID-19 and the role of U.S.-funded research.

In a commentary piece published by Fox News in January 2022, Paul wrote that Fauci’s unique position in public life made possible misstatements exceptionally dangerous.

“If Fauci was simply one family doctor in Peoria, his mistakes would not be so catastrophic. But since Fauci’s status approximates that of a medical czar, his errors are amplified throughout the land.

“When Fauci misinforms the public that cloth masks work, he risks the health of anyone who believes a cloth mask will protect them when caring for a spouse or relative with COVID.

“When Fauci creates algorithms that prohibit monoclonal antibodies from being given to hospital patients, he consigns those most at risk to struggle for recovery without one of our most effective treatments.

“When Fauci decides that he alone will define and fund dangerous ‘gain-of-function’ research, his disregard for the possibility of a lab leak is felt worldwide.”

In May a 13, 2021, appearance on “Fox & Friends” — two days after Fauci’s Senate testimony — Paul suggested that he was privy to documented proof that Fauci’s NIAID — a division of the National Institutes of Health —  gave huge grants to the Wuhan Institute that which were used for the funding of “gain-of-function” research into bat coronaviruses.

On July 14 of this year, Paul reiterated a previous request from July 21, 2021, urging the Department of Justice to investigate potential inconsistencies.

Paul accused Fauci of lying about his involvement with NIH funding of gain of function research in Wuhan.

However, since Attorney General Merrick Garland did not take any action, Paul has taken a more direct approach by calling on the U.S. attorney for Washington D.C. to initiate an inquiry.

The investigation, if launched, could have far-reaching implications for public health policy, research funding, and the credibility of key figures in the scientific community.

It has the potential to unravel critical details about the origins of the pandemic and the extent to which U.S. agencies were involved in research activities at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

The long arm of justice finally seems to be pulling back the curtains on the Biden family and their long history of bribery and corruption, and now it’s time to unveil another key villain of the last three years.

Dr. Fauci might just want to stock up on masks.

We hear it’s pretty close quarters in prison.

Echoes of Fascism :: By Jonathan Brentner

It was thirty years ago when the words of Habakkuk 1 seemed to leap off the page with relevance to the evil I saw around me. As I think back to that time in light of today’s world, I wonder what alarmed me.

The wickedness, government corruption, deception, and lawlessness are exponentially worse now than three decades ago, far beyond what I could’ve even imagined just ten years ago.

Below are the words of Habakkuk 1:2-4, which have not changed:

“O Lord, how long shall I cry for help, and you will not hear? Or cry to you ‘Violence!’ and you will not save? Why do you make me see iniquity, and why do you idly look at wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise. So the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; so justice goes forth perverted.”

The Lord responded to the prophet’s complaint by telling him that the Chaldeans, or Babylonians, would bring judgment to His people (1:5-11). Within thirty years, Nebuchadnezzar fulfilled the words of the Lord, destroying both Jerusalem and the temple.

Although the prophet’s words apply directly to ancient Judah, I believe there’s a warning for America in them. The same God who didn’t allow the wickedness to continue in Habakkuk’s day also sees the extreme wickedness and perversion of justice in the U.S.

If the Lord would so severely judge His chosen people, what makes anyone think that He’s not greatly angered by the same things He sees in modern-day America that are far worse?

For believers, there’s a clear and present danger as the echoes of fascism ring through the halls of our government as well as from the behavior of our president.

The Indictment

When I heard about the criminal indictment of former president Donald Trump on matters related to January 6, 2021, and his disagreement with the results of the election, it took over a day to resolve the anger and perhaps even the fear that it stirred within my soul. Disagreeing with election results is hardly anything new in America; why are they arresting a former president for it now? Yet August 3, 2023, will mark Trump’s third arrest in the past few months.

I regard the charges as baseless and frivolous, intended to drain the former president of resources in his current election campaign due to the enormous cost of defending himself. Even former Harvard Law professor and liberal Alan Dershowitz complained about the motives for it and declared that the Supreme Court would reverse any conviction should it go that far.[i]

Regardless of the outlandish nature of this indictment, I soon realized that I needed to restore peace within my heart. Psalms 37 and 94 always help me at such times as they did this past week, but it was another thought, or question, that worked the best in this case.

“What did I think the last days before the Tribulation would look like if not this?” It was when I remembered hearing this question, or one similar to it, that I felt the most relief.

Why did I think the setup for the world government described in Daniel 7 and Revelation 13 would look any different than our current world?

It’s not that America by itself matters in the grand scheme of prophecy; it doesn’t. However, the indictments are symptomatic of the globalists’ agenda to enslave the entire world under a Marxist regime. I believe they intend to usher in this new world order with the use of fascist tactics, but the end result will be a communistic dictatorship, which they advertise as “You will own nothing and be happy.”

It’s Fascism

Regardless of what one thinks of the former president, the indictments don’t bode well for the future of the U.S. or its citizens. This article is not at all meant to be a defense of Donald Trump but rather a warning of what it means for the nation that I love.

It’s because the current occupant of the White House knows full well that he lost the 2020 election to Trump and would surely lose again in 2024 that he has the Department of Justice stirring up charges against the former president. It’s the same thing dictators have done throughout history, but I never thought I would ever see it happen in the country that I love.

We know that the current president is beholden to the World Economic Forum (WEF), and those that control his administration are globalists who understand that

the United States

, even in its current weakened form, remains a roadblock to their cherished dreams of world domination. The presidency of Donald Trump interrupted their march toward ruling over all the nations, which means he must be stopped as soon as possible and at all costs. They will not allow anyone to become president who doesn’t fully comply with their demonic globalist agenda.

Regardless of what the liberal mainstream media shouts regarding the indictment, the echo of their cries of delight is always fascism. That’s how elite powerbrokers of the world must operate. They cannot win elections, nor can they win the favor of a majority of the people.

To achieve their beloved dreams, they must employ the same tactics that Hitler used as he initially gained control of Germany in the 1930s. He first got control of the news media and then eliminated all potential opponents.

The Inherent Dangers

The Bible reveals that the final form of the antichrist’s dominion will be exceedingly deadly for both believers and the Jewish people. The echoes of fascism that now resound through America spell grave danger to both groups even now.

History warns that both fascist and communistic dictators always persecute both Christians and Jews, always. Satan hates both groups, and the more he succeeds in preparing the way for his man of lawlessness, the greater the perils for us.

For those of us securely in Christ, the wildcard is the Rapture of the church. The longer we wait for Jesus’ appearing, the greater our chance for increased persecution because of our belief in the words of Scripture. The good news is that regardless of what happens to us in this life during the ramp-up to the antichrist’s kingdom, we will soon be in glory with our Savior.

Jesus is surely coming for us, and when He does, He will give us imperishable and glorified bodies (Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Corinthians 15:50-54). This day is surely coming.

As such, I believe the words of Habakkuk 2:4 apply:

“For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.”

Habakkuk’s vision of the Lord’s defeat of the Babylonians was prophetic of His still future victory over Satan’s empire at the end of the Tribulation. The message for Israel is that although it might appear to be slow in happening, “it will surely come.”

As we wait for the fulfillment of prophecy regarding Jesus’ appearing, does it not seem “slow?” However, we can ponder the prophet’s encouragement that the prophesied end-time events “will surely come” and “not delay.” We are not waiting for something that will never happen; Jesus will soon appear to take us home.

Concluding Thoughts

As for the millions of Jewish people that live in America, another thought occurs to me. Through the Old Testament prophets, the Lord repeatedly promised to regather His people back to the Land; Ezekiel 36:24 is an example of just such an assurance:

“I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land.”

I wonder if the budding fascism in the halls of the U.S. government might someday blossom into full-blown fascism that will force a great many of Jacob’s descendants to migrate to Israel from America. We already witness Anti-Semitic attacks increasing exponentially here, particularly in places where liberalism flourishes.

The events of our day, even the arrest of former president Donald Trump, point to the fact that we live in the last moments of human history as we know it. As such, it shouts to all who are listening that the fulfillment of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11 is ever so near.

I love the echo of these verses as it resounds with the joy and glory that lies ahead for us. We will soon hear the shout and, after that, appear in glory with Jesus (Colossians 3:4).

Maranatha!

I provide a detailed defense of the Pretribulation viewpoint in: The Triumph of the Redeemed-An Eternal Perspective that Calms Our Fears in Perilous Times. I demonstrate, using an abundance of quotes, that the belief in a thousand-year reign of Jesus dominated the church during its first three hundred years. The historic view of the millennium is a literal view of Revelation 20:1-10 that places it between the Tribulation and the eternal state. There’s no such thing as a “historic premillennialism” that denies a literal interpretation of this text.

Trump Slams Hunter Biden Special Counsel David Weiss – Suggests ‘Great Idea’ for Replacement | The Western Journal.

In the latest round of 2024 campaign irony, former President Donald Trump stated that he wouldn’t have chosen U.S. Attorney David Weiss to lead the Hunter Biden investigation, even though it was Trump who appointed him as a U.S. attorney in the first place.

“He would not have been picked by me,” Trump wrote on Truth Social of the man picked by him in 2017 to serve as U.S. attorney for the District of Delaware.

Then, Trump offered an alternative suggestion.

https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/110874170534362392/embed

“I have a great idea,” Trump wrote in the post. “Why don’t they use Deranged Jack Smith. Weiss has been investigating Hunter for 4 years, giving him the ‘sweetheart’ deal of all sweetheart deals. But a brilliant Judge in Delaware saw through it all.

“Now, I read, the Department of Injustice wants a new Judge and Jurisdiction,” the former president added. “But so do I, with far stronger reasons than Hunter & Crooked Joe. MAGA!!!”

Trump joined a chorus of other leading Republicans who on Friday lambasted President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice after it was announced that the federal prosecutor who offered presidential son Hunter Biden a “sweetheart” plea deal had been named special counsel in the investigation into him.

Attorney General Merrick Garland announced Friday morning that Weiss now had the authority to conduct the Hunter Biden investigation as he sees fit.

Weiss offered Hunter Biden a plea deal for tax and gun possession crimes that fell apart at the eleventh hour when a judge refused to sign off on it last month.

The proposed deal involved no jail time.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy weighed in on Garland’s announcement on X, formerly Twitter.

“This action by Biden’s DOJ cannot be used to obstruct congressional investigations or whitewash the Biden family corruption,” McCarthy said. “If Weiss negotiated the sweetheart deal that couldn’t get approved, how can he be trusted as a Special Counsel?”

“House Republicans will continue to pursue the facts for the American people,” he added.

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise called Weiss’ appointment “outrageous.”

“Don’t be fooled. Garland appointing Weiss as a sham special counsel on Hunter is a way to block info from Congress while claiming they’re investigating,” he tweeted. “Weiss approved the sweetheart plea deal. This is an even better deal for Hunter since charges may never come.”

Commenting on an Associated Press report about Weiss’ appointment, Republican Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina tweeted, “A year too late.”

“Weiss — who orchestrated Hunter’s sweetheart plea deal — has ZERO credibility,” said Republican Rep. Andrew Clyde of Georgia.

Other Republicans who blasted the DOJ over Weiss’ appointment included Reps. Jim JordanLauren Boebert and James Comer, who is leading the congressional investigation into alleged Biden family corruption.

Biden attorney Abbe Lowell was unimpressed by the appointment of a Weiss as special counsel.

https://air.tv/?v=Axb06Y2xQuilCd6_GcjDMA

“His title became ‘special counsel’ today. His powers were the same yesterday,” Lowell told CNN on Friday. “So what’s different? It doesn’t make any difference to us given what we understood to be the case.”
