God demonstrates His love and concern for us by bestowing amazing promises and fulfilling them. The Bible is where we can find help for every circumstance of life.

Sermon Outline

THE BIBLE—MORE THAN A BOOK

KEY PASSAGE: Psalm 119:105

SUMMARY

When trouble strikes, we have a variety of places to turn for help—but our first option should always be the Bible.

After all, it’s no ordinary book; it is the unfolding revelation of almighty God. From beginning to end, the Lord demonstrates His love and concern for His people. He gives us amazing promises and has the infinite power to fulfill them. Help for every circumstance of life is found within the Scriptures.

SERMON POINTS

What is the purpose of the Bible?

God has given us His written Word for the following reasons:

  • To reveal the one true God. Without the revelation of Scripture, we’d have a very limited, if not erroneous, concept of the Lord. Through His Word, we learn of His attributes, character, and power.
  • To lead us to salvation. The Bible reveals our sinful condition and God’s plan to rescue us. Because of His love, grace, and mercy, He made a way to forgive sins and reconcile us to Himself.
  • To understand how to live a godly life. Many passages of the Bible, especially the Epistles, instruct us how to live holy and obedient lives that display Christ’s character and works. When we sin, His Word teaches us how to experience restoration through repentance.
  • To know how to serve the Lord. The Scriptures tell us how to minister to one another and share His Word with other people.

The Bible is a trustworthy book.

The Scriptures are a message given to us by the Almighty. And since it is the Word of our Creator and Savior, we can trust that it is true. He says His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path; and therefore, it always leads us the right way (Psalm 119:105). And though our world constantly changes, “the word of our God stands forever” (Isaiah 40:8). Because He wants us to know how to live in a manner that honors Him and benefits us, He’s given us words of promise, joy, and peace as well as instructions and warnings.

The Bible is more than just another book because it …

  • Is timeless. The truths of Scripture are never outdated and are still applicable for any situation we might face.
  • Is infallible. Since Scripture is the revelation of the one true God, it has no errors. Because He is all-powerful, He has the ability to speak through men, guiding them to write only what is true. There may be concepts we don’t understand, but that never invalidates the fact that God’s Word is inerrant.
  • Is a trustworthy guide. The Bible is adequate for every need. Because it’s infallible, we can confidently depend on it for wise guidance in every circumstance of life.
  • Exposes man’s sin and hopeless condition. According to Romans 3:23, we all “fall short of the glory of God”—His perfect standard. Although we may not want to face our sinful condition, we can’t simply decide to discard this passage. The good news is that even though we deserve death as the wages for our sin, God’s gift of salvation grants us eternal life (Romans 6:23).
  • Warns us of the consequences of sin. At the beginning of creation, before sin entered the world, God warned Adam and Eve of the consequences of disobedience. Throughout Scripture, this warning continues. We may not want to think about the results of our sinful choices, but the principle of sowing and reaping cannot be altered. Although the consequences of sin may not be obvious immediately, we will eventually reap what we’ve sown and more of it.
  • Tells of God’s unconditional love for us. It’s His very nature to love. Because He loved the world, He gave His Son so those who believe in Him could have everlasting life (John 3:16).
  • Tells how we can be saved from our sins. Although sin condemns us, the Lord doesn’t want us to stay in that condition. That’s why He’s provided a means for our salvation on the basis of faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).
  • Tells us why Jesus came to earth. Christ came to rescue us from the destruction of sin by providing a way for forgiveness.
  • Shows why a virgin birth was necessary. Every person born since Adam has inherited a sin nature, but the only acceptable sacrifice for sins had to be flawless. Since Jesus was born of a virgin without an earthly father, He was the perfect Lamb of God.
  • Explains why Jesus died on the cross. He came as the sacrificial Lamb to bear the sins of the world in His body, so we could be forgiven.
  • Explains His resurrection. God raised Him from the dead as proof that Jesus truly is the Son of God whose sacrifice was sufficient to pay for sins. The resurrection also confirms that the Lord has the power to keep every promise He’s made.
  • Tells where Jesus is now. After His resurrection, Christ ascended to heaven where He is seated at the Father’s right hand interceding for us.
  • Reveals where God the Father is. He is still on His throne in heaven, actively reigning over the affairs of mankind.
  • Explains the person of the Holy Spirit and His work in our lives. After His ascension, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to indwell His followers. He’s the one who explains the Scriptures to us and empowers us to impact the world and accomplish His work. The Spirit also seals us, guaranteeing our salvation until the day of redemption when Christ returns.
  • Tells us how to be wise. The books of Psalms and Proverbs, along with many other passages, teach us how to handle our responsibilities and relationships wisely.
  • Teaches how to endure difficulty and hardship. From the Scriptures (particularly Paul’s epistles), we learn to respond to trials as the Lord desires.
  • Offers encouragement. God’s Word is an ever-flowing fountain of encouragement. For every situation we face, there is an applicable passage of Scripture that offers help and hope.
  • Is a promise book. Every promise of God in His Word is backed up by His awesome power to fulfill it.
  • Removes the fear of death. If we are saved by the grace of God, we know that we’ll immediately join Christ when we die.

RESPONSE

  • Where do you turn when trouble strikes? If the Bible is not your first choice, why not? If wondering where to look in the Scriptures is the problem, what steps can you take to become more familiar with the Bible?
  • Think back to the last time you found comfort or guidance in God’s Word. What passage did you read? How did the Lord encourage you with that Scripture?
  • What promises in the Bible have you seen God fulfill in your life? How has this affected your trust in Him?

Who Shall Dwell on Your Holy Hill? | Alistair Begg Daily Devotional

“O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill? He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart.”

Psalms 15:1-2

“Who shall dwell on your holy hill?” The question that David poses in the first verse of this psalm is of utmost importance. It may strike us as a question that’s tied only to worship in ancient Israel, but in truth it takes us to the very doorstep of heaven and asks us, Who will enter these gates?

While the answer is explained in the rest of Psalm 15, the general point is one we find throughout Scripture. The writer of Hebrews advised his readers to “strive for … the holiness without which no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14). The Lord Jesus similarly instructed that “the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few” (Matthew 7:14). Those who will stand on the holy hill of the Lord and enjoy His presence for eternity, then, are those who arrive there by the narrow way, striving after holiness.

The sad truth is that too many assume they will dwell on God’s holy hill because they once said a prayer, walked down an aisle, or are a member of a church. It is a grave mistake to think that those acts on their own will merit eternal life if they are accompanied with a way of life that gives no evidence of knowing Christ as Lord. Charles Spurgeon once preached, “If the man does not live differently from what he did before … his repentance needs to be repented of, and his conversion is a fiction.”[1]

So, who will ascend the hill of the Lord? It is the one who “walks blamelessly,” in a way that cannot be confused with that of an unbeliever, and whose life manifests the reality that God has saved him or her. It is the one whose talk is not marked by slander but who “speaks truth in his heart.” This is someone who doesn’t merely say what is correct but says what is true, with no gap between what is said and what is lived.

The combination of reading Psalm 15 and looking honestly at ourselves will very likely be discouraging. Only the Lord Jesus embodies the psalm’s portrayal of holiness to perfection; only He deserves to dwell on His Father’s holy hill, and only because He chose to die for His people’s sins and clothe them with His perfection are we invited to live with Him there. But it is good and right to let the light of God’s word shine on our hearts and expose what is there, for it will move us to repentance and to gratitude to our Savior. And those who know they will stand there because of Him will seek to be like Him. Consider your walk and your words, and pray that you would be ever more conformed to the image of Christ until you dwell with Him on God’s holy hill.

August 27 Evening Verse of The Day

3:14 Paul resumed the prayer that he began in v. 1. In this prayer, he asked that believers might be blessed with inner strength, insightful understanding, and spiritual excellence.[1]

3:14 bow my knees. Jews normally prayed standing (Matt. 6:5; Luke 18:11, 13). Kneeling appears to have been an expression of humility and urgency (Ezra 9:5; Luke 22:41; Acts 7:59, 60). This verse returns to the prayer Paul had begun introducing in v. 1 (note).[2]

3:14 For this reason. Paul repeated what he wrote in v. 1 (see note there) as he began his prayer. Because of their new identity in Christ, stated in chap. 2, believers are spiritually alive (v. 5), they are unified into God’s household (v. 19), and, as the church, they are the dwelling place of God, built on the words and work of the apostles and prophets (vv. 20–22). I bow my knees. Not an instruction for physical posture during prayer, but suggesting an attitude of submission, reverence, and intense passion (cf. Ezr 9:5, 6; Ps 95:1–6; Da 6:10; Ac 20:36).[3]

3:14. The words for this reason recall v 1. Paul had been about to pray, but then he stopped to discuss his ministry and the mystery of the Church. He now resumes his prayer.

I bow my knees. There are many postures in which to pray. The important thing, however, is not the position but the attitude. Paul prays to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Critical Text (CT) omits the words of our Lord Jesus Christ. However, the majority of manuscripts include them.[4]

3:14 Now the apostle picks up the thought he had begun in verse 1 and had interrupted with a parenthetical section on the mystery. Therefore, the words, For this reason, refer back to chapter 2 with its description of what the Gentiles had been by nature and what they had become through union with Christ. Their astonishing rise from poverty and death to riches and glory drives Paul to pray they will always live in the practical enjoyment of their exalted position.

His posture in prayer is indicated: I bow my knees. This does not mean kneeling must always be the posture of the body, though it should always be the posture of the soul. We may pray as we walk, sit, or recline, but our spirits should be bowed in humility and reverence.

The prayer is addressed to the Father. In a general sense, God is the Father of all mankind, meaning He is their Creator (Acts 17:28, 29). In a more restricted sense, He is the Father of all believers, meaning He has begotten them into His spiritual family (Gal. 4:6). In a unique sense He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, meaning They are equal (John 5:18).[5]

3:14. Repeating the opening phrase, Paul resumes his original prayer which he started in verse 1. The kneeling posture (compare Luke 22:41; Acts 7:60; 9:40; 20:36; 21:5; Rom. 11:4; 14:11; Phil. 2:10) represents humility and reverent worship in contrast to the common practice of standing to pray (Mark 11:25; Luke 18:11, 13).[6]

3:14 “I bow my knees” Standing, not bowing, was the usual position for Jewish prayer (cf. Matt. 6:5; Mark 11:25; Luke 18:11; 22:41; Acts 7:60; Phil. 2:10). This shows Paul’s intensity (cf. Matt. 6:5; Mark 11:25; Luke 18:11, 12; 22:41; Acts 7:60).[7]

14. The prayer Paul started to communicate in 3:1 is now presented: For this reason I kneel before the Father. The phrase For this reason picks up how 3:1 started (toutou charin). Bowing the knee is a sign not only of prayer but also of reverence (bowing is used negatively in Rom. 11:4, in the context of bowing to idols). Often Jews prayed standing (Matt. 6:5; Mark 11:25; Luke 18:11, 13), so the bowing is an extra act of regard for God. There are other examples of kneeling to pray in the New Testament (Acts 7:60; 9:40; 20:36), as well as some in the Old Testament (1 Kgs 8:54; Dan. 6:10–11 lxx Theodotion). In 1 Chronicles 29:20 and Psalm 95:6 kneeling is seen as part of the worship of God to honour him. One day, every knee will bow before God (Rom. 14:11, citing Isa. 45:23) and before Christ (Phil. 2:10–11).

It is the hope of reconciliation along with the programme it represents that moves Paul to intercessory prayer. But this reverence takes place in the context of acceptance and family, so the appeal is to the Father. Paul has just spent the better part of two chapters justifying this kind of approach to God (esp. 3:12). Here it is also because God is Creator, as verse 15 shows. It is a great and powerful God to whom we pray—an important point, as provision is the point of this prayer. Still, if anyone can approach God as Father, it is especially those who have gained access to his redeeming blessings. We pray to the Father through the Son.[8]

14. Now Paul takes up again the words with which he began in 3:1, For this reason, and this time he utters his prayer. It has an added force now in the light of what he has just said. Not only is he led to prayer by the thought of the greatness of the grace of Christ raising to life those who were dead in sin, and by the realization of the unity into which Jew and Gentile have been brought in the one household, but also by the contemplation of the whole wonderful purpose of God which he has been led now to express more deeply and more personally. In the light of these things and, we have to add, the temptation of his readers to lose heart, he prays now as he does. It is a prayer like that of 1:15–23, but it has an even greater intensity, as is implied in the words I bow my knees before the Father. Among the Jews it was usual to stand to pray (see Matt. 6:5 and Luke 18:11, 13). Kneeling for prayer, though it has become a regular Christian attitude, was formerly an expression of deep emotion or earnestness, and on that basis we must understand Paul’s words here. Solomon knelt at the dedication of the temple (1 Kgs 8:54); Stephen at the time of his martyrdom (Acts 7:60); Peter at the death-bed of Dorcas (Acts 9:40); Paul at the time of his farewells on his last journey to Jerusalem (Acts 20:36; 21:5); our Lord himself in his agony in Gethsemane (Luke 22:41).[9]

Ver. 14.—For this cause. The digression being ended, the apostle takes up the thread broken at ver. 1. We must seek the “cause” in ch. 2. Seeing that the Gentiles have now equal privileges with the Jews; seeing that by faith in Christ Gentile Christians have been brought as near to God, and have as good a right to the good things of the covenant;—I take the steps now to be specified for enabling them actually to possess these good things. On the one hand, the apostle saw the believing Ephesians still comparatively poor and needy; on the other hand, he saw all spiritual stores provided for them: the question was how to get the one into contact with the other. For this cause, he says, I bow my knees unto the Father. An emphatic way of denoting prayer; but not incidental, occasional prayer, inspired by some passing feeling; the attitude “bow my knees” denotes deliberate prayer (comp. Dan. 6:10), making a business of it, approaching God with reverence and holy fear, with all the solemnities suitable to the occasion of making a specific and important request. In the A.V. it is “unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” The R.V., some of the oldest manuscripts, and most recent commentators omit the latter words, which are supposed to have been taken from ch. 1:3. On internal grounds, the omission of the words seems to yield the best sense, for in ch. 2:18 our having access to “the Father” is spoken of, and when the apostle proceeded to show how he availed himself of that privilege, he is not likely to have used more than that expression. Further, there is such a close connection between πατέρα and πατριὰ in ver. 15, that they are not likely to have been far separated as the apostle used them.[10]

14  The prayer of intercession, already begun, is now resumed and this time carried to its conclusion. It is a prayer that knowledge may be granted to the readers—not the kind of knowledge that was cultivated in many gnosticizing schools of thought, but knowledge that finds its consummation in knowing the love of Christ. To know the love of Christ involves the personal knowledge of Christ himself, that personal knowledge whose attainment was Paul’s own high ambition (Phil. 3:8, 10). Paul prays that his readers may be endowed with all the resources of spiritual strength necessary to attain this knowledge, and he addresses his prayer to the Father. The people of Christ, he has said already, have access through him “in one Spirit to the Father” (Eph. 2:18); and Paul avails himself of this access to make intercession for his friends.[11]

14 Repeating the introductory words from v. 1, “For this reason,” Paul roots his prayer in the discussion in ch. 2, though no doubt the first part of ch. 3 may also provide impetus for his prayer. The sentence continues to the end of v. 19, though, as often happens, modern versions break it into smaller pieces (three for the NIV). Instead of the simple “I pray,” Paul says, “I bow my knees” (NIV, “I kneel”) before the Father. The normal position of prayer for Jews and early Christians was standing (1 Sa 1:26; 1 Ki 8:22; Mk 11:25; Lk 18:11, 13), though kneeling was common enough (1 Ki 8:54; 2 Ch 6:13; Da 6:10; Lk 22:41; Ac 20:36; 21:5). The posture was not as important as the inward attitude of the one who prayed, though kneeling may express an attitude of humility that recognizes God’s sovereignty and may also serve to intensify the urgency of a request (e.g., Mt 17:14). The posture of kneeling expresses worship and homage. Paul probably doesn’t literally kneel as he writes these words; it was this attitude of prayer he wished to underscore. Paul directs his prayer to “the Father”—the one who is cosmic creator over all, as the next verse explains (and as 4:6 further elaborates).[12]

The Leadership of Our Guide | VCY

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth. (John 16:13)

Truth is like a vast cavern into which we desire to enter, but we are not able to traverse it alone. At the entrance it is clear and bright; but if we would go further and explore its innermost recesses, we must have a guide, or we shall lose ourselves. The Holy Spirit, who knows all truth perfectly, is the appointed guide of all true believers, and He conducts them as they are able to bear it, from one inner chamber to another, so that they behold the deep things of God, and His secret is made plain to them.

What a promise is this for the humbly inquiring mind! We desire to know the truth and to enter into it. We are conscious of our own aptness to err, and we feel the urgent need of a guide. We rejoice that the Holy Spirit is come and abides among us. He condescends to act as a guide to us, and we gladly accept His leadership. “All truth” we wish to learn, that we may not be one-sided and out of balance. We would not be willingly ignorant of any part of revelation lest thereby we should miss blessing or incur sin. The Spirit of God has come that He may guide us into all truth: let us with obedient hearts hearken to His words and follow His lead.

At God’s Bidding | VCY

And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the Lord, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men. (Micah 5:7)

If this be true of the literal Israel, much more is it true of the spiritual Israel, the believing people of God. When saints are what they should be, they are an incalculable blessing to those among whom they are scattered.

They are as the dew; for in a quiet, unobtrusive manner they refresh those around them. Silently but effectually they minister to the life, growth, and joy of those who dwell with them. Coming fresh from heaven, glistening like diamonds in the sun, gracious men and women attend to the feeble and insignificant till each blade of grass has its own drop of dew. Little as individuals, they are, when united, all-sufficient for the purposes of love which the Lord fulfills through them. Dew drops accomplish the refreshing of broad acres. Lord, make us like the dew!

Godly people are as showers which come at God’s bidding without man’s leave and license. They work for God whether men desire it or not; they no more ask human permission than the rain does. Lord, make us thus boldly prompt and free in Thy service wherever our lot is cast.

Letting Go, Even When it Hurts | Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God.

It was our yearly retreat and I had paid for an apartment where my family would lodge.

I felt very disappointed when the lady in charge allocated a poor apartment to me, plus she was rude and reluctant to change it. In front of a few persons seated, I had made a big deal out of the entire issue, maybe because I had expected fairer treatment. We settled it eventually. However, there were checks here and there in my spirit.

After unpacking and settling in, we decided to take a quick nap before going for the evening session of the program. While my husband and children slept, my eyes were wide open. In the cool warmth of the afternoon breeze, a gentle voice spoke out within me.

What happened earlier today wasn’t entirely your fault but, you should have let it go. Not because you do not have the right to demand for a change but because, you are a light. Many times, you can be very right but because of me, allow things to flow. Just a little action taken on impulse, can disorientate souls (who you may not know) from being saved.” He said. The voice was tender, corrective and not condemning. That was the voice of the Holy Spirit. He knows how to practically uproot weeds that stole their ways into the vineyard. I immediately asked for forgiveness, we settled it amicably, like a Beloved Father and her loving daughter. Then, I had an assuring peace.

You see, People can get on our nerves a lot of times. They tend to take us for granted over the limit but the Lord is saying “you might be right, but because of me, allow things to flow” Yes, ignoring a rude behaviour overtly is a tough thing to do, especially when, in a snap, you can hurl down the world on the offender. Here, let us learn together. Even when it hurts, let us trust God to plead our cause.

This reminds me of our Lord Jesus Christ in 1 Peter 2:23“Who when He was reviled, reviled not again, when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously”. In order to fully pattern our lives like Jesus, I have learned that, we should endeavour to live as He lived. We are the light that brightens the dark areas of this world. Therefore, in every facet of it, let our light so shine, that others may see our good works and glorify our Father who is in heaven. (Mathew 5:16)

It is still the wee days of the New Year, what are those attitudes that God through this message, is impressing in your heart to drop off, in order to enjoy His fullness?

Let nothing stand as a barrier to Gods blessings for you this year.

Handling the Tough Times | Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God.

How do you handle your tough times? When you are tired of trying, tired of forgiving, tired of hard weeks or hard-headed people—how do you manage your dark days? With a bottle of pills? Alcohol? A day at the spa? Many opt for such treatments. So many, in fact, we assume they re energize the sad life. But do they? They may numb the pain, but do they remove it?  We like sheep follow each other over the edge, falling headlong into bars, binges and beds. Is there a solution? Indeed there is.

Be quick to pray. Talk to Christ who invites. “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out? Come to Me. Get away with Me and you’ll recover your life” (Matthew 11:28-30). Jesus says, “I will show you how to take a real rest.” God who is never downcast, never tires of your down days! Just go to him!

Aaron Kheriaty: The rise of the Biomedical Security State during the covid era
The pandemic of 2020 saw the imposition of shocking restrictions. For the first time, healthy people were confined to their homes. Vaccines cleared for emergency use – meaning not rigorously tested – were forced on all citizens. Debate, even by scientists, was censored. Refusal to obey these arbitrary impositions could mean arrest, legal action…What we saw rolled out in March 2020 was not a new approach to public health, Dr. Kheriaty said, but a new paradigm of governance and controlling populations on a widespread scale – the rise of the biomedical security state.

Viktor Shokin says Hunter Biden was recruited by Burisma to ‘provide protection’ while company engaged in ‘illegal activities’

Fired Ukraine prosecutor general Viktor Shokin claimed then-second son Hunter Biden was brought on to the Ukrainian gas company Burisma’s board in order to “provide protection” for CEO and founder Mykola Zlochevsky from criminal investigations.

“I have no doubt that there were illegal activities engaged in by Burisma,” he told Fox News’ “One Nation” host Brian Kilmeade through a translator in an interview that aired on Saturday night.

“It continued to expand and Zlochevsky, who at the time held the post of minister … started bringing in people who could provide protection for him. Hunter Biden was among them and the corruption network expanded as a result,” he said.

While targeted at GOP voters, the campaign appears to be another Democratic Party front.

Defending Democracy Together, a neoconservative outfit led by career chickenhawk scribe Bill Kristol, has launched a new initiative called “Republicans for Ukraine” to transform the 2024 presidential election into a referendum on US funding for the NATO proxy war.

Urging Republicans in Congress to support more funding for Ukraine in the upcoming appropriations bill is also a key item on the agenda.

Kristol had defined himself as a leader of the Republican Party’s neoconservative faction, bashing isolationist and antiwar GOP figures on the pages of his now-defunct Weekly Standard magazine while laying the intellectual groundwork for the invasion of Iraq through his Project for a New American Century.

How To Interpret Media Leaks Regarding The Ukraine Offensive | The Gateway Pundit

When I joined the CIA in September of 1985 it was my first exposure to classified information. Initially, I believed that the classification system was designed to prevent the public from knowing the “real truth” about what was happening in the world. In the months that followed I discovered that Top Secret, Special Compartmented Intelligence, appeared routinely on the front pages of the Washington Post and the New York Times.

What was the difference between leaked intelligence and the intel reports that did not appear in the press? It boiled down to something pretty simple — if there was disagreement over a particular policy, such as placing nuclear missiles in Europe, that intelligence leaked. Conversely, if there was consensus over a policy or program that information rarely leaked.

I raise this because of the spate of articles now appearing in the establishment media that are painting a dire, gloomy picture of Ukraine’s much ballyhooed counter offensive. That is not a coincidence nor is it the result of intrepid journalism. Support for Ukraine in Washington is starting to crumble. While the Austin, Milley, Blinken and Nuland crowd continue to insist that victory is just around the corner (all we need is more cow bell), others at the Pentagon, the CIA, the DNI and DIA see the writing on the wall spelling out a message of looming disaster.

The Washington Post ran this piece earlier this week:

Ukraine running out of options to retake significant territory. (The Washington Post — pay wall).

Ukraine is running out of options in its counteroffensive against Russian forces, as Kiev’s time-window to gain advances is closing, the Washington Post has reported.

In an article on Sunday, the U.S. daily has claimed that Ukraine’s counteroffensive, which was launched in early June and was initially expected to see Kiev taking back significant territory, currently “shows signs of stalling.”

“Kiev’s advances remain isolated to a handful of villages, Russian troops are pushing forward in the north and a plan to train Ukrainian pilots on U.S.-made F-16s is delayed,” wrote the U.S. newspaper.

The rest of the media is singing a similar tune. Here are some of the latest headlines:

Ukraine’s dreams of counter-offensive triumph have hit a hard reality. (The Telegraph — pay wall).

Ukraine’s sluggish counter-offensive is souring the public mood. (The Economist — pay wall).

Ukraine’s Reset: A Slow and Bloody Advance on Foot. (The Wall Street Journal — pay wall).

Then there are the blogs and internet content. Real Clear Defense has been generally pro-Ukraine with its coverage over the last 18 months but, unlike the Institute for the Study of War, has offered occasionally some solid analysis questioning Ukraine’s chances of vanquishing Russia. The latest piece on Real Clear Defense, Why Is Ukraine’s Counteroffensive Destined To Fail?, is a stark warning that the Fat Lady is starting to sing:

The much-anticipated Ukrainian counteroffensive was predicted to break through Russian echelon defenses swiftly, however, it turned into a stalemate. The operation was strategically planned and executed with misguided optimism, as Ukraine’s defense strategists underestimated the strength of the adversary. It was launched under the wishful thinking of the Ukrainian government assuming that Russian soldiers would desert their positions and run away from their trenches in the first waves of the counterattack. However, the opposite happened, and Russians are holding their positions, occasionally launching counterattacks, and not allowing Ukraine’s land forces to breach their defenses. Already two months have passed since the launch of the offensive and Ukraine’s military has yet to make significant gains. With the current situation, the highly anticipated counteroffensive is destined to fail.

These articles are the early warning signs, like a canary in a mine shaft, that finger pointing and the blame game will take center stage in Washington, London and Brussels starting in September about who lost Ukraine. I fully expect that the Biden Administration will continue to insist that Ukraine is fighting Russia to a standstill and all the West has to do is exercise patience and wait for Russia to crumble. This is delusional, but that has been the distinguishing mindset of the Biden/neo-con crowd.

Events on the ground in Ukraine will force a change in thinking. Members of Congress will be preoccupied increasingly with the 2024 election and are likely to refuse to endorse further weapon sales and massive financial aid to Ukraine. Backing a loser is something that most politicians refuse to do.

There are a number of potential events that will result in Ukraine being put on the back burner. Worsening relations between Washington and Beijing over Taiwan raises the risk of a military conflict in the South China Sea. How about a financial crisis? October historically is the month when economic chaos explodes “unexpectedly” on Wall Street. If that occurs then Ukraine’s chances of getting more aid will vanish.

So, pay attention to the headlines and articles, especially those citing unnamed military or intelligence sources. That will tell you which way the wind is blowing.

Weak: Speaker Kevin McCarthy Still Will Not Commit to Impeachment Inquiry But Dances Around the Idea (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Speaker Kevin McCarthy joined Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures this weekend. Bartiromo opened up the discussion asking McCarthy if he will launch an impeachment investigation.

McCarthy balked once again. This guy is so weak. Democrats are destroying the country on every front. They are stealing our freedoms and have indicted the leading Republican with 91 bogus charges on speech charges. And McCarthy is still talking about someday, possibly, if the stars align, he will open an impeachment inquiry!

Maria Bartiromo: Will you bring an impeachment inquiry against President Biden this September?

Kevin McCarthy: (filibustering) Well, Maria, first you’ve got to understand, only because Republicans took the majority have we found out what President Biden told us when he was running for office is not true. He said he never had any dealings with his son’s business, that he never even talked to him. We’ve now found out not only did he call into the meetings, he went to dinner. And after the dinner, Hunter Biden got a new Porsche, that there was 3.5 million transferred. We now found out, as he was a sitting vice president, the family created 20 shell companies. They received 16 of 17 payments from Romania while he was vice president. We now found that the money would flow to nine family members. He has to continue to change this. But since then, we found a movement of his administration of weaponization. We found that now the special prosecutor, David Weiss, actually let the statute of limitations run out on Hunter Biden’s taxes. We found that the FBI actually informed Hunter Biden and the inaugural committee prior to our ability to go and interview him. We also have a DOJ that tried to give a sweetheart deal to Hunter Biden and the judge said ‘no.’ So if you look at all the information we have been able to gather so far, it is a natural step forward that you would have to go to an impeachment inquiry. And just so your viewers understand what that means, that provides Congress the apex of legal power to get all the information they need, because remember what’s laying out there right now we have an Attorney General that could have lied to the American public, which he is now named a special prosecutor. They have said two different things. And you have Gary Shapely on a little later today, IRS whistleblowers that have come forward that show that there’s two forms of justice when it comes to America. But now when you look at this, it looks like a culture of corruption that’s been happening within the entire Biden family. You’ve got to be able to answer that to the American public. The American public deserves that answer. Who’s lying, what information went on, who paid and what foreign governments. When you found now that we know that an FBI actually had an informant, which got to a form of a 1023 claiming that they had bribed then Vice President and saying that we would never find the money because they went through shell companies.

That was his way of saying, “No, Maria there are no plans to hold Joe Biden accountable.”

Kevin McCarthy is part of the problem. The Marxists are inside the gate and McCarthy refuses to act.

If he was a true leader he would have called Congress back to launch an impeachment weeks ago.

A Startling Compilation: ‘Neither Safe Nor Effective’

“Dr. Peter McCullough, an American cardiologist, called the COVID vaccines, ‘the worst pharmaceutical development idea in the history of mankind.'”

“It often comes as a surprise to people that mRNA-type medical interventions and coronavirus vaccines had plenty of red flags through their history prior to December 2020. The ingredients used were already known to be toxic: Cationic lipids injure the nervous system, lungs and liver, as well as cell membranes throughout the body. Polyethylene glycol was never used for injections, due to safety concerns. mRNA had already been shown to change DNA. Previous attempts at coronavirus vaccines had all failed and killed the test animals. So inflicting the world’s population with a new, mostly untested vaccine for which its components already had so many safety warnings was the most widespread reckless experiment in human history.
