Mark of Covenant Grace | VCY

And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul that thou mayest live. (Deuteronomy 30:6)

Here we read of the true circumcision. Note the author of it: “The Lord thy God.” He alone can deal effectually with our heart and take away its carnality and pollution. To make us love God with all our heart and soul is a miracle of grace which only the Holy Ghost can work. We must look to the Lord alone for this and never be satisfied with anything short of it.

Note where this circumcision is wrought. It is not of the flesh but of the Spirit. It is the essential mark of the covenant of grace. Love to God is the indelible token of the chosen seed; by this secret seal the election of grace is certified to the believer. We must see to it that we trust in no outward ritual but are sealed in heart by the operation of the Holy Ghost.

Note what the result is-“that thou mayest live.” To be carnally minded is death. In the overcoming of the flesh, we find life and peace. If we mind the things of the Spirit, we shall live. Oh, that Jehovah, our God, may complete His gracious work upon our inner natures, that in the fullest and highest sense we may live unto the Lord.

In the World or of It? | Grace to You Blog

Worldliness is rarely even mentioned today, much less identified for what it is. The word itself is beginning to sound quaint. It is reminiscent of a day when men wore wigs, women wore bonnets, and everyone dressed in black. Today, many believe that worldliness is simply the paranoid cry of an isolated prude. But all of that is a convenient caricature from those who have thrown the church’s doors open to the ways of the world.

Into the Heavens | Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God.

“Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.” Psalm 36:5

One thing that I love about fall and winter in southern Canada is that I am awake before the sun rises. I love watching the eastern sky become illuminated by the sun’s rays; I never tire of the vibrant pinks and oranges reflecting off of the cloud formations and snow capped mountains.

God’s creation is truly amazing. It points us to our Creator, and brings a song of praise to our lips. What is even more amazing is God’s love for us. Psalm 36 tells of God’s unconditional love being so vast that it unfolds into the heavens; His unwavering devotion so unparalleled that it stretches to the skies.

It is not always easy to see the love God has for us. We get caught up in our own problems and fail to look to Him. We often hide ourselves from His love behind a cloud of guilt or in a fog of doubt. We miss seeing the love he pours down on us every day.

God demonstrated the depth of His love for us when He gave up a part of Himself, His perfect Son, to become a sacrifice on our behalf. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection we can once and for all be cleansed of our sin, forgiven and made new. In love, God sacrificed His own son so that we can become a part of His family.

Dear God, you are faithful and loving. Help me today to grasp how wide and long and high and deep your love is for me. Please help me to believe and embrace the love you have for me; and give me courage to love my family, friends, and even strangers with the kind of love you have shown to me. Amen.

Thought:  Whenever you catch a glimpse of the sky outside today, let it serve as a reminder to thank the Lord for His immeasurable love for you. If you are struggling to believe how much God loves you, read a part of Paul’s prayer for the Ephesian Church (Ephesians 3:14-19). Insert your own name, and lift this prayer up to the Lord.

The Seed of Evil
The battle that is going on in America is not a political battle, it is Spiritual. Those who do not recognize this are doomed to frustration. If you are one of those who believe that America will be rescued by changing the occupant of the White House, or by the election of members of the Republican Party, that America will somehow be rescued if we can get some “conservative” judges appointed, or a return to our Constitution, I assure you that your efforts will be in vain.

Latest on Lockdowns: The Royal Society is WRONG
The Royal Society claims that lockdowns and other social distancing measures significantly cut the transmission of the coronavirus during the fake pandemic. This is not true. The lockdowns did massive physical and mental harm to the nation, face masks did massive amounts of damage to people’s health, and the social distancing rules and the locking of old people in care homes did massive, long-term harm. None of these methods should ever be used again, Dr. Vernon Coleman writes.

FEATURED ANALYSIS

The DeSantis Management Model

Florida’s governor has been impressive with multiple hurricane recoveries, which commends him for a promotion.

Nate Jackson

Would you rather have a president you could have a beer with, or one who could competently do the job? Those things obviously aren’t mutually exclusive, but in an age where personality seems to dominate the political landscape, it’s worth remembering that ideally we elect presidents for their skill and leadership, not their entertainment value.

Which brings us to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Hurricane Idalia, the Category 3 storm that hit Florida’s Big Bend Wednesday morning.

“Republican voters should be watching the governor’s performance closely over the next few weeks,” argued political analyst Charles C.W. Cooke before the storm arrived. He was right, and they are. So far, so good for DeSantis.

Thanks to the fact that Idalia hit mostly rural areas of north-central Florida and the forecasted track for it was what DeSantis called “pretty doggone accurate,” the state was ready. Well, that and this is Florida, which is pretty used to hurricanes by now, though Big Bend hasn’t been directly hit by a hurricane this strong since 1896. There is some discrepancy in the count, but not more than three deaths were storm related.

Idalia was certainly less devastating than last year’s Hurricane Ian, which went off the forecasted track and hit more populated areas, killing 150. Even then, however, with a worse disaster and the presidential spotlight not yet on him, DeSantis impressed with the quick and thorough recovery response.

With Idalia, he’s effectively dispatched relief efforts and things like water and fuel where necessary. “All that stuff we have an abundance of,” he said Thursday, “and we’ll be providing that as needed.”

When all that’s settled, would someone get the giant tree off the governor’s mansion?

Joe Biden? He’ll visit Florida tomorrow. We doubt it’ll go better than his trip to Hawaii — he’s already retold the same mindless lie about his house fire to relate to Florida’s disaster, just like he did in Hawaii. As for policy, so far all he wants is “a whole hell of a lot more money” for the Left’s climate boondoggle.

Biden’s allies in the Leftmedia clearly hope DeSantis fails. After all, they’ve been telling a narrative about the governor that they need to “prove.” He’s a “racist,” for one thing, after the Jacksonville murders of three black men by a white man. Never mind that he went to a community where he’s not popular and worked to connect, or that he condemned violence of any stripe.

He’s also struggling to gain traction in early primary polls, which the media is all too happy to trumpet so as to make those early polls self-fulfilling.

We mean no disrespect, but being president is about a lot more than entertaining people at small campaign stops or even big rallies.

“This seems to be Mr. DeSantis in his element, examining the figures, the emergency response plans, the Covid-19 statistics, and then synthesizing it into government policy,” write the editors of The Wall Street Journal. “Everyone knows an introvert like this, and the flip side of the personality type is that Mr. DeSantis, now a 2024 presidential candidate, has proved less than adept at making small talk with Iowans.”

As we said up top, competent governance is paramount. Then again, we’re sort of puzzled why we’re being told DeSantis can’t relate to people.

“We are not going to tolerate any looting in the aftermath of a natural disaster,” he told reporters yesterday. “I mean it’s just ridiculous that you would try to do something like that on the heels of an almost Category 4 hurricane hitting this community.” He added: “I’d also just remind potential looters that you never know what you’re walking into. People have a right to defend their property. This part of Florida, you’ve got a lot of advocates and proponents of the Second Amendment. And I’ve seen signs in different people’s yards in the past after these disasters, and I would say it’s probably here — ‘You Loot, We Shoot.’ You never know what’s behind that door. If you go break into somebody’s house and you’re trying to loot, these are people that are going to be able to defend themselves and their families, so I would not do it.”

You know something? We’d like to have a beer with that guy.

Justice Thomas’s Financial Disclosure

Will Justice Clarence Thomas’s newly submitted 2022 financial disclosure form put an end to the smears?

Douglas Andrews

Utah Senator Mike Lee said it best when the Left’s efforts to delegitimize our nation’s third coequal branch of government became too egregious to ignore. “This is all just a thuggish shakedown,” he said. “Nice Supreme Court you’ve got there America; sure would be a shame if something happened to it.”

The particular targets of the Left’s smear machine have been Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito, who just so happen to be the Court’s most reliable constitutional conservatives. We’re sure it’s mere coincidence.

Thomas, of course, is used to this. After all, he’s been the object of the Left’s disaffection ever since his confirmation hearings in 1991 — hearings led by then-Senate Judiciary Chairman Joe Biden, hearings so vicious that then-nominee Thomas called them “a high-tech lynching.”

The Left’s thirst for power knows no bounds, though, nor does its intolerance of our pesky Constitution. Which is why, as the Washington Examiner reports, Thomas and Alito “have faced repeated scrutiny on the left, particularly from the outlet ProPublica. On April 6, ProPublica ran a report suggesting Thomas ‘should have disclosed his trips’ taken more than decades ago with Crow, citing the advice of ‘ethics law experts.’ The outlet ran a separate report on June 20 suggesting Alito engaged in ethical impropriety in July 2008 when he went on a fishing trip in Alaska, prompting the justice to take matters into his own hands and issue a swift rebuke through a Wall Street Journal op-ed titled ‘ProPublica Misleads Its Readers.’”

“Justice Thomas’s critics allege that he failed to report gifts from wealthy friends. Untrue,” said Thomas’s attorney, Elliott Berke, in a statement regarding his client’s newly released 2022 financial disclosure form. “He has never accepted a gift from anyone with business before the Court. For anyone who knows him at all, it is clear that no one influences Justice Clarence Thomas’s jurisprudence. But friends are dear, close, and separate. He has included all other reportable gifts on his disclosure forms.”

Berke continued, “Much of the noise to the contrary is based on malicious and sloppy reporting and attacks from partisans who disagree with his jurisprudence and want to drive him and others off the Court.”

It could’ve been worse. For example, Justice Thomas could’ve used his Supreme Court staff to peddle his book to colleges, universities, and assorted libraries.

Oh, wait. As our Emmy Griffin recently noted: “Justice Sonia Sotomayor is pushing her books on libraries and colleges whenever she has a speaking engagement. She is also using her staff to help. Just to be clear, this sort of activity would be an ethics violation in any other branch of government.”

Apparently, not even our nation’s Supreme Court justices are exempt from our nation’s two-tiered system of justice.

Justices Thomas and Alito are allowed to have wealthy friends, and they’re allowed to go on vacation trips just like every other American citizen. Which is why Berke’s above-mentioned statement, six pages in all, was an unusual step but a necessary one: It called out what we might regard as The Politics of Personal Destruction. “No Justice, Justice Thomas included,” wrote Berke, “should be subjected to such political blood sport. It is painfully obvious that these attacks are motivated by hatred for his judicial philosophy, not by any real belief in any ethical lapses.”

A few weeks ago, we covered Justice Alito’s effort to take the fight to those who would smear him and diminish his office. Justice Thomas’s new disclosures are another welcome development.

But as to whether this sort of transparency will quiet the critics, we doubt it. For the Left, there’s far too much at stake.

Tennessee Gun Control Confab Concludes — 2A Rights Not Infringed

At no time did anyone explain how any of the proposals could have prevented the Nashville attack, or prevent any future attack.

Mark Alexander

Ahead of the just-concluded special session of the Tennessee General Assembly errantly called by Republican Governor Bill Lee to discuss what leftists call “gun reform” in response to “gun violence,” I outlined how Democrats use the coffins of murdered children as political fodder to advance their political agendas.

“Gun reform” is a euphemism for “gun control,” which is about gun confiscation and always has been. “Gun violence” is a euphemism for “cultural violence,” which is the actual problem, but Demos don’t want to touch that.

The good news is that this special session closed with more awareness about the safety of children and no infringement on the constitutional rights of Tennesseans. However, this political charade is a case study of leftist tactics, and conservatives in every Republican-controlled legislature across the nation should take note.

Governor Lee is a strong conservative, but in the wake of a gender-confused assailant’s attack on a Nashville Christian school in March, where she murdered six people, including three children, Lee got blindsided and carelessly set up Republican majorities in the House and Senate for a Democrat blitzkrieg.

A week after that attack, Joe Biden hosted three Tennessee legislators to elevate the visibility of their political agenda in Tennessee.

For the record, attacks on schools are very rare — more than 99% of ALL murder victims are NOT killed in “mass shooting” incidents in a school or any other location. But as long as sociopathic assailants have been murdering children, Democrats have been propping up the coffins of the dead as political soapboxes for promoting gun control. They are especially quick to do so when the victims are white, knowing they can invoke a strong response from their cadres of emotionally incontinent supporters — particularly their wealthy, white privilege Demo benefactors in the suburbs.

I note that Demos are quick to use murdered white children for their agenda despite the politically inconvenient truth that a grossly disproportionate number of murder victims nationwide are black men, women, and children, and almost all of their assailants are black. It is no small irony, then, that the two loudest legislative protesters were black.

We should have reasoned conversations about how to protect children. That includes all Americans, particularly our black brothers and sisters whom national Demos never mention because that discussion would quickly lead to the underlying cultural issues and the generations of leftist social policies that have created those issues.

Demos knew their proposals would get nowhere in the special session, but their intent was to create a public relations cluster setting up conservative legislators for election opposition based on their votes. But using the coffins of murdered children is a very crass and calculated strategy to co-opt emotions.

For a well-informed perspective on the legislative session, I turned to a highly esteemed Republican legislative analyst for his assessment. He responded as follows:

“Bad facts make bad law” is an unfortunate reality that has created many overreaching laws and bad court decisions. Such is the case with a horrible mass shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee on March 27, 2023. The facts of this case show that there was no indication or warning that this particular person would instigate such a horrific crime.

That notwithstanding, Governor Lee proposed new “red flag” laws that would permit judges to remove private citizens’ guns immediately upon evidence that a person “could be dangerous.” The defendant could show up at a hearing at a later time and try to regain their constitutional right to possess a firearm.

Hundreds of protesters at the Tennessee Capitol wanted gun control legislation — notably many of them were from out of state. The Republican leadership was not prepared for the protests, particularly the small number of protesters who were conservative Christians associated with The Covenant School. To their credit, the House leadership had no intention of passing a gun control measures. But the House leadership proceeded to file two dozen bills that would expand government power in a number of ways. Proposed legislation would expand government authority to require DNA swabs, require mental health professionals to turn on their patients, require more child offenses to be tried as adults, and spend tax dollars on more mental health services.

State House members represent districts with about 70,000 people and must run for election every two years. Accordingly, House members are much more susceptible to challenges, protests, and political whims. An impasse developed with House members wanting to pass everything but the gun control measures, none of which would have prevented the Covenant School murders, and leftist protesters wanting nothing short of gun control.

Fortunately, the State Senate also has a supermajority of Republicans. Its members represent much larger districts of 200,000+ people and are elected every four years. The State Senate is much less responsive to political charades and much more deliberative. The State Senate can afford to take their time in responding to an event or demand for new legislation.

The State Senate promptly killed all the Republican House legislation by referring every House bill to a study committee (which may or may not ever meet at some undisclosed time in the future). This is the polite way to kill a bill without voting it down. Republican House leadership was furious. None of their legislation was discussed or considered in the State Senate.

The State Senate then proceeded to pass four bills. The first bill waives sales tax on gun locks and gun safes. This legislation also authorized the state to give away the over $1 million in gun locks the State currently has in storage. Second, the Senate passed legislation that required the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to submit a report to the governor on human trafficking. The TBI already collects data on human trafficking. This legislation merely required the TBI to submit a report based on the existing data. The third piece of Senate legislation required criminal court clerks to report convictions to the TBI in a more timely fashion. And finally, the State Senate appropriated millions more to mental health agencies.

At the end of the first week of the special session, the State Senate passed the above four pieces of legislation and adjourned. The House was left drifting in the wind, still debating all their legislation even though it was dead in the State Senate.

Reconvening for the second week of the special session, Democrat House member Justin Pearson (D-Memphis), the leader of the protests, was called out of order multiple times. The session closed with no further actions, but Pearson and his cadre will be back.

Finally, at no time during this eight-day special legislative session did anyone explain how any of the proposed legislation could have prevented the March assault in Nashville, or prevent any future attack. Thankfully, the special legislative session is over and “bad laws” were averted.

Politicians’ Brains Are a Bipartisan Problem

The greatest country in the world is being led by a bunch of cognitively challenged politicians you wouldn’t trust to walk your dog.

Michael Reagan

Seriously folks.

Maybe we Republicans better stop banging on Old Joe Biden for the serious cognitive issues he obviously has.

Unless we hold the players on our own team responsible for their cognitive issues, we have to stop harping on the obvious mental declines of President Biden, Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania and Diane Feinstein, my home state’s ancient senator.

I’m talking of course about the problem of what to do about Sen. Mitch McConnell’s shaky brain.

The Republican Senate minority leader had another one of his sad and scary public freeze-ups while talking to the press on Wednesday.

McConnell suddenly went silent on camera and stared into the distance after being asked whether he plans to run for re-election in 2026.

Mitch came out of his trance-like state in less than a minute, but the public damage to his image was done.

The 81-year-old Kentucky senator showed the entire world that he’s eligible to move into the Republican wing of the newly built Bidenland Rest Home, where the president, Fetterman and Feinstein are charter residents.

Don’t look now, but the greatest country in the world is being led by a bunch of cognitively challenged politicians you wouldn’t trust to walk your dog.

The collective cognitive ability of the Biden-McConnell-Feinstein-Fetterman foursome is about half that of the average person they represent.

It’s not funny, but if a comedian in a club simply put their photos up on a screen together he’d get big laughs.

McConnell’s doctor later issued a statement saying everything’s OK with Mitch’s brain. We all know that’s the usual bought-and-paid for lie, but it’s the bipartisan way it works.

The doctors, staff people and political pals of ancient politicians in both parties automatically lie through their teeth and insist their bosses’ broken brains are still in tip-top shape.

That’s why Ted Cruz quickly defended McConnell’s mental competence and why the likes of Chuck Schumer and the liberal media stick up for Biden’s every time he says something daffy or untrue.

The truth is, people in power never want to voluntarily step down or step aside.

They never say, “You know what? I’m a million years old and my brain is like a two-year-old’s. After six decades in office, I realize it’s time for me to let someone under 85 do my job. So for the good of the country, I resign.”

Instead, they keep running for office — and we keep electing them.

But I don’t care who it is, what party they belong to or how the political equation in Washington will be affected.

It’s time for a collective bipartisan call for McConnell, Feinstein, Fetterman and Biden to do the right thing and step down.

They’re making decisions and voting on things every day that affect every one of our lives and yet half the time they have no idea what they are doing.

They’re not able to do the jobs they were elected to do. They’re embarrassing themselves. They’re ruining their legacies, which, whatever they are or once were, are long gone.

They’re only going to be remembered how they are now, which is incompetent and addled, not how they were long ago when they started to play the Washington game.

I admit to my guilt. I’ve gone after Biden because of his cognitive disabilities. But if I am going to bang on Biden, I cannot not bang on McConnell.

Because it’s not about the good of the party, it’s for the good of the country.

Executive News Summary

Unemployment rises, 40% of Dems oppose Biden, nationwide gun ban injunction, and more.

Thomas Gallatin & Jordan Candler

Cross-Examination

  • Unemployment rises: Jobs numbers for August show that 187,000 jobs were added, slightly ahead of the estimate of 170,000. But that’s where the economic good news ends, as the headline unemployment unexpectedly rose to 3.8% while the real unemployment rate jumped to 7.1%. Furthermore, thanks to Bidenomics, hourly pay is continuing to fall further behind inflation, as average hourly earnings rose by just 0.2% for the month and 4.3% for the year — coming in below the forecasted 0.3% and 4.4%, respectively.
  • Forty percent of Dems oppose Biden: A sizable number of Democrat voters would rather have someone other than 81-year-old Joe Biden be the party’s nominee. According to a recent survey from Big Village CARAVAN, just 60% of Democrats favor Biden for the nomination, with 19% picking Robert F. Kennedy Jr., 10% backing Marianne Williamson, and an additional 11% naming “other” as their choice. For a sitting president running for reelection to get this much rejection from voters in his own party is uncommon and should be setting off alarm bells for the DNC. Meanwhile, when it comes to Americans in general, national polling shows even greater unfavorability for Biden, with RFK Jr. (39.4%) holding a higher favorability rating than Biden (35.2%).
  • For Musk, Twitter was personal: What may have been the underlying motivation behind Elon Musk’s decision to buy Twitter, the social media platform he has now rebranded as X? Well, it may have been more personal than merely an altruistic commitment to free speech. According to a new biography on Musk by Walter Issacson, Musk made the decision to acquire the social media giant after his son and oldest child, Xavier, “transitioned” at 16 years old, calling himself “Jenna.” Apparently, when Musk learned of his son’s decision, he handled it in a mostly positive manner, though after his son embraced communism and subsequently cut Musk out of his life, it seemed to spur him into action against woke ideology. According to an excerpt from the book, Musk stated, “[Xavier] went beyond socialism to being a full communist and thinking that anyone rich is evil.” He added, “I’ve made many overtures, but she [sic] doesn’t want to spend time with me.”
  • Good news: Nationwide gun ban injunction: Back in May, U.S. Senior District Judge Robert Payne of the Eastern District of Virginia ruled that a federal law banning the sale of handguns to individuals 18 to 20 years old was unconstitutional. At the time, Payne’s ruling applied to a case in Virginia known as Fraser v. ATF. On Wednesday, Judge Payne issued a national injunction against the federal ban, writing: “People between the ages of 18 and 21 in the Eastern District of Virginia suffer an equal burden as people of the same age in the Southern District of New York, the Central District of California, or any other district. The Government’s policies affect — and harm — each of them equally. Therefore, ‘[t]he categorical policies relied upon by the Government call for categorical relief.’ Only a nationwide injunction will ‘prevent irreparable injury to plaintiffs,’ who, since as class has been certified, include all American citizens between the ages of 18 to 21 who are otherwise qualified to purchase a gun.”
  • Michiganders steamed over right-to-work repeal: Freedom to work has been inhibited in Michigan after the state’s Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed a partisan bill repealing the Great Lakes State’s Right-to-Work law. As everyone knows, unions exist effectively as a slush fund for Democrat politicians. Forcing workers to join a union in order to be employed, which forces them to pay union dues — a significant portion of which goes directly into Democrat coffers — is a leading reason why conservatives have long rejected unions. Furthermore, unions take away workers’ right to individual choice and self-advancement. Furthermore, polling shows that a large majority of Michiganders did not want Right-to-Work repealed, and 56% of voters are calling for a ballot measure to reinstate it.
  • British shouldn’t heat homes: In yet another example exposing the reality that climate change alarmism is nothing other than an anti-human cult, the United Kingdom’s Climate Change Committee (CCC) is calling on Britons to not heat their homes during the evening hours this winter in order to help the nation reach the government’s ridiculous goal of net-zero carbon emissions. The CCC wants “behavior change” for Britons, instructing them to “pre-heat” their homes during the afternoon in order to use less electricity. This is effectively reversing technology that allowed for greater climate control of homes and that has served to lengthen human life by limiting severe temperature changes in homes. Significantly more people die from cold than from heat. But apparently Britain’s CCC couldn’t care less when it comes to forcing people to bow to Mother Gaia.

Climate Cultists Causing Chaos

Their anti-human agenda is causing great harm in varying ways.

Emmy Griffin

The climate activists’ antics are ever more puerile and counterproductive. We’ve seen them deface works of art, glue their hands to the floors of car showrooms, and even pour charcoal into the Trevi Fountain.

None of these demonstrations is endearing to the general public.

Writer and climate expert Michael Shellenberger describes the futile and destructive acts of the activists as the “behaviors of toddlers, of people who are not raised right, and now it’s been up to law enforcement to deal with their tantrums.”

Sadly, we’ve seen plenty of tantrums from the activists in recent weeks, the majority of which have been people blocking busy thoroughfares. The most famous one was when “nonviolent” climate protesters blocked the road to Burning Man in Nevada. Tribal police intervened after people in cars tried to get the protesters out of the street. Here is that video.

Blocking roadways is never a nonviolent act, especially when someone may be delayed during a medical emergency. Furthermore, these ecofascists forced miles and miles of cars to idle in the Nevada desert in the middle of August. Beyond that obvious health hazard, they (wink) may have singlehandedly created their own hole in the ozone from the car exhaust they caused by blocking the roadway.

The climate agenda boondoggle is also infecting our military. The Pentagon was focused on implementing climate initiatives in the military during the Afghanistan withdrawal, declaring the climate crisis a “national security risk” and being more worried about implementing green initiatives into the military complex than about the disaster that was unfolding in Afghanistan.

Green initiatives in the military will hardly keep the nation safer.

One of the changes is that all military equipment is assessed for green adjustments. How exactly does having a greener weapon make our military stronger? Spoiler: It doesn’t.

Another idea that has been floated is changing a fleet of non-tactical military vehicles to electric by 2030, which presents another problem. Electric vehicles’ batteries, though better than they were, are not very efficient. They have a small travel radius before they need to be charged. Then there’s the production of EV batteries, which is very environmentally unfriendly. Also, let’s say the military is in the Middle East. There aren’t exactly charging stations in the middle of the desert.

It’s almost as if climate-protecting initiatives are counterproductive in the long run. The “consensus” may also be cracking a bit, as 1,609 scientists have declared the climate “emergency” a myth. This includes two Nobel laureates. While they don’t deny the detrimental effects of greenhouse gasses, they have also said that the unrealistic net-zero CO2 goal is incredibly harmful to humanity and also is a politically useful scapegoat. The latter we have seen with devastating effect for the people of Maui, Hawaii. Climate change is blamed while the people who bungle the disasters get to keep their jobs.

Climate activists are following their fears and/or seeking to create power for themselves by pushing the narrative of impending climate doom. Their foot soldiers who block the roadways or deface paintings demonstrate just how deranged they are in their pursuit of their climate religion. They are worshiping a false god, and their actions bear the fruit.

Tim Scott Challenges the Schools

The South Carolina senator has made education a central theme of his campaign, and for good reason.

Brian Mark Weber

Certain educrats have a tell when they’re afraid of losing control of our kids: They go to the Leftmedia with scare tactics, and they claim Republicans are “waging war” on education.

In this case, it’s they who are waging war — against South Carolina Senator and Republican presidential candidate Tim Scott, who simply wants to empower parents and make sure schools aren’t using our kids as pawns in their woke social experiments.

Just last year, in fact, Scott introduced legislation to cut federal funding to schools that implement transgender policies denying parental notification. And now, Scott has introduced a plan to create a “family first” culture in education.

More specifically, Scott’s 12-point plan promises to “defend every parent’s right to know what their child is hearing and reading in school” and “empower every family the right to opt out of propaganda that attacks their values and religious liberty.” Additionally, the plan pledges to break the backs of the teachers’ unions, protect girls’ sports, and take critical race theory out of the classroom.

“Teachers’ unions, Big Tech, and Joe Biden are on a mission to make parents less important,” said Scott in a press release. “I have a bold agenda to support and empower parents — from the classroom to the locker room to the smartphone. We must empower parents and give them a choice, so that every child has a chance.”

Scott faces a steep uphill struggle to win the GOP nomination and then the White House, but while his plan shares some characteristics for improving education that other candidates have embraced, it shows an emphasis that is unique to Scott. Even CNN has noticed his focus on education: “Scott has made education a central theme of his campaign since its launch in May,” the network reports, “frequently citing his own experience growing up in poverty and attending college on a partial football scholarship. He often tells audiences at campaign events that education ‘is the closest thing to magic,’ and has stressed the importance of education in overcoming the disadvantages facing poor Black Americans.”

Maybe that’s why those on the Left are so critical of Scott’s plan. Maybe that’s why they say he’s targeting race and gender (like we haven’t heard that charge before).

In reality, he’s tapping into a national movement to remove politics from our classrooms, keep the focus on traditional values and proven educational methods, and give parents a say in where they send their kids to school. Of course, none of these measures sit well with Democrats, who want nothing more than to protect their education monopoly.

“At its core,” writes the Washington Examiner’s Kaylee McGhee, “Democrats’ opposition to school choice stems from the realization that it would break the education monopoly they’ve spent the past several decades building. If parents have the financial power to leave the government’s system, then that system no longer has control — control over government funds, over the ideological upbringing of children, and over the families who have been bullied into thinking they have no say in the matter.”

One of the best ways to shatter the federal education bureaucracy and empower parents is to eliminate the Department of Education, which, incidentally, four Republican presidential candidates pledged to do in last week’s first debate. Tim Scott wasn’t one of them.

Nonetheless, giving parents an educational voice is one of the central pieces of Scott’s plan, which allows parents to decide “whether it’s public school, private school, charter school, STEM school, or homeschool that is best for their child.”

In the end, Scott’s presidential aspirations may be a long shot, but the eventual GOP nominee would be wise to give his plan serious consideration. It’s a detailed, workable, and winning plan to save our schools from the Marxist assault on our children.

Bible Verses Prosperity Gospel Preachers Ignore

“If Christians would stop financially supporting rich televangelists and pastors living extravagantly, there would be less poverty and Christianity would have more credibility in a broken world.”

(Barry Bowen – Trinity Foundation) The prosperity gospel has created a distorted view of what the Bible teaches about money, resulting in many church goers being misled to believe that God wants His people to be financially wealthy.

Instead, the Bible presents a balanced view: Times of abundance and times of scarcity both come from God.

This principle is shown in Genesis 41, as God gives Pharaoh, the leader of Egypt, a prophetic dream, revealing the land would have seven years of abundance followed by seven years of famine. View article →

Francis Schaeffer Told American Christians in 1982 That We Must Disobey Tyrants. Topic: Today Brannon plays some clips from Francis Schaeffer that reminds us that Biblically and Constitutionally we do not have to obey tyrants. If fact, the supreme laws of America, founding in our organic, founding documents, command us not to comply with tyrants. Sadly, many pastors and silly, immature and ignorant Christian voices have brainwashed many Christians in America to believe their Biblical duty is to agree with and participate in evil by complying with evil. Today Brannon brings a sobering message and inquires of his audience if they are willing to not comply and even die opposing tyrants as did our Founding Fathers.

Prominent Putin Ally Says Tucker Carlson ‘Signed His Own Death Warrant’ with Recent Russia Comments | The Western Journal.

A Russian talk show host well-known for promulgating state-sponsored propaganda has publicly warned Tucker Carlson that his days may be numbered.

Vladimir Solovyov, whom the Daily Beast describes as “Russia’s most prominent propagandist,” said Thursday that Carlson was in danger — from the American establishment, not the Russians — for claiming that the U.S. would be at war with Russia before the end of 2024.

Solovyov referred to a recent interview Carlson did with former “Man Show” host Adam Corolla on the latter’s eponymous podcast in which he claimed that America was unlikely to prevail in the “hot war between the U.S. and Russia in the next year” that he saw coming.

According to a translation of Thursday’s “The Evening With Vladimir Solovyov” from the Daily Beast, Solovyov responded to that with: “Who says that? A dead man walking!”

“He sincerely believes that the next step after the accusations and the declaration of impeachment will be an assassination of Trump,” the talk show host explained. “But this man, who is currently the most popular English-speaking journalist, signed his own death warrant!”

“I can’t rule out that in the near future, as he is leaving Europe, there will either be an air crash or something will happen to the car in which he will be traveling, or he might eat something that he shouldn’t, maybe his heart will suddenly stop!” Solovyov predicted. “If I were in his place, I would tell no one of my travel routes.”

He also argued that Carlson’s supposed long-standing desire to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin and stream the interview on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

“They will not forgive him for the fact that he strives to interview our president and post the footage on a platform that has no censorship,” Solovyov said.

Who, exactly, “they” are was not made clear, as Carlson has a record of calling out people of any and all political stripes and Solovyov was not specific. He recently agreed with David Portnoy on camera that both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are too old to hold the office of the presidency, a position unlikely to be popular with … well, just about anyone.

Earlier that day, Solovyon had interviewed Dimitri Simes, the former president and CEO of Washington foreign policy think tank The Center for the National Interest, who claimed he had tried to help Carlson land an interview with Putin.

Solovyon has also recently claimed that actor Steven Seagal was advocating for the interview to take place.

Newsweek asked Carlson about the story, but received no immediate response Friday.

Solovyon’s claim was also backed up by another Russian propagandist, RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan, who also apparently wanted to see the interview happen.

“Tucker is doing a great job. By the way, he’s really asking for an interview with Vladimir Putin,” she said in April, according to Newsweek. “It would be great if someone hears this and gets this message to the president.”

For his part, Solovyon believes — or at least claims to believe — that Carlson’s prediction is accurate.

“We are on the verge of a global hot war! It’s unavoidable because it benefits everyone!” he said, according to the Daily Beast’s translation.

“These are the end times!” the talk-show host added in an apparent reference to biblical eschatology. “We should realize this.”

Carlson has never publicly confirmed his reported desire to interview the Russian president, Newsweek said, and as previously noted, the former Fox News host did not respond to the outlet’s request for comment Friday.

“Would They Go to War with Russia? Of Course, They Would! They Want to Anyway” Tucker Carlson Predicts Massive Recession and WW III with Russia before 2024 Elections (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

Tucker Carlson sat for an interview with Adam Carola earlier this week.

During the interview Tucker warned about the very real dangers of DC elites on both sides of the aisle launching World War III with Russia before the 2024 election.

Tucker predicts World War III next year and a devastating economic recession.

Tucker Carlson: Here’s here’s my view of it. I think the lies are are unsustainable. Lying is always unsustainable. You’re always found out in the end whether in your lifetime or posthumously. But you’re, you know, lies are always revealed by their nature. And these lies are so big and so obvious and so stupid that it’s going to be very clear to the majority of voters before the election that the Biden administration has no idea what it’s doing, that Joe Biden is not running the government and that it’s not working at all.

And I think by that point we’re going to have a real economic contraction. I think we’re going to be in the teeth of a very tough recession. And that makes everything much more intense. And so if your goal is to maintain power and if you think once you relinquish power, the problem with criminalizing politics is the people who do it imagine or know that it will be done to them. So once you start indicting your political opponents, you know that you have to win or else they’re going to indict you. If they win. Right, right. So they can’t lose. They will do anything to win.

So how do they do that? They’re not going to do COVID. Again, I know everyone on the right is afraid. They’re going to do COVID and mask mandates. They’re not going to do that. They can’t do that if they’ve already been exposed. That won’t work. Be no. What are they going to do? They’re going to go to war with Russia is what they’re going to do. There will be a hot war between the United States and Russia in the next year. Really? Yes. Of course, they want it anyway. I don’t think we’ll win it, but that’s a separate analysis. But I think it’s a political matter they need to declare war footing in order to assume war powers in order to win. I believe that, and I think all the evidence suggests that’s true. So if you’re worried about our politics getting even more vicious than it already is and people being hurt in our politics, which is entirely possible, you should be worried about the prospect of an open war.

We’re already at war with Russia, of course, we’re funding their enemies, so we’re fighting Russia. But I mean an open battle with Russia where we say we’re at war with Russia, I think that could easily happen.

I think we could Tonkin Gulf our way into it, where all of a sudden missiles land in Poland. The Russians did it, our NATO allies have been attacked. We’re going to war. I could see that happening very easily. So if you’re worried about that, you need to put as much pressure as you possibly can on the Republican held Senate (House) to force a peace which can be done. The United States could force a peace in Ukraine tonight. We’re funding one side. There is no Ukrainian army outside of NATO if NATO withdrew its support for Ukraine, Ukraine would crumble in a day.

So we are the only power in the world that can bring both sides to the table to force a peace. Which will be unsatisfactory as all forced peaces always are. Each side will give more than it wants. But that’s the only option. Otherwise, I would bet my house on it. We are going to war with Russia. And of course the stakes are everything. Our life on the planet. I mean, these are the two biggest nuclear arsenals in the world facing off against each other. So this is insane. They’re insane. These are people who think men can become women, who believe that face masks save you from COVID I mean, these are not rational people.

Would they go to war with Russia? Of course, they would. Again, they want to anyway. And I don’t know why Republicans don’t get this at all, but they don’t seem to get it. And meanwhile, Republican leaders and Mitch McConnell’s senile too, so I don’t even blame him. But all the stupid Republican senators and McCarthy in the House. I mean it’s pathetic. These people are all on board with the war against Russia. Why?

Donald Trump, Jr. weighed in.

Press Secretary’s Lies Immediately Exposed After Claim Biden “Has Done More To Secure The Border Than Anybody Else” | ZeroHedge News

Authored by Steve Watson via Summit News,

Biden Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was immediately exposed as a liar as she claimed Thursday that Joe Biden “has done more to secure the border to deal with this issue of immigration than anybody else.”

“He really has,” Jean-Pierre declared, further claiming that “June saw the single largest month-to-month drop in unlawful border crossings because of the policies this president put in place.”

“And mind you, he has been doing this on his own,” she further stated, adding “We need Republicans to do this but they keep turning it into a political stunt.”

She further claimed that Biden has “expanded the pathway to citizenship” for illegal immigrants.

A reporter straight away pointed out that what Jean-Pierre was saying was complete BS, and that the administration has not done anything of the sort.

In addition, why is she touting June’s numbers when both July and August’s numbers have been released and show that encounters have skyrocketed again?

June saw 144,566 border southwest border encounters, down from 206,701 in May. This number is already back up, with 183,503 encounters being recorded in July, according to US Customs and Border Patrol data.

Jean-Pierre also claimed Wednesday that the Biden administration is “stopping the flow” of illegal immigrants at the border, despite the fact that the barriers are literally welded open at the moment and encounters are at all time highs:

WAYNE ROOT: Tucker is Outing Obama as Gay. But Everyone is Missing the Big Story. I’m Obama’s College Classmate. I’ve Been Trying to Warn America for 15 Years! | The Gateway Pundit

By Wayne Allyn Root

I’m Obama’s college classmate at Columbia University, Class of ’83. I’m also the author of the #1 bestselling hardcover book in America in 2012, “The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide.”

I’ve always had Obama’s number. I understand what makes him tick. I understand his goals.

First, let’s get the “gay issue” out of the way. I’ve reported on both my radio and TV shows for 15 years that my wealthy, connected friends in Chicago have always said, “Obama frequented gay bathhouses and gay clubs. Everyone in the know, knows Obama is gay.”

Now that we’ve heard from Obama’s biographer that Obama wrote about his daily gay fantasies, I think it’s pretty clear my Chicago pals were right. Tucker is onto something!

But gay is not the issue. The issue here is fraud. If Obama is in fact gay, then he was lying to the American people from day one. He portrayed himself as a happily married family man with a wife and two beautiful young daughters. That’s called fraud.

If America had known the truth in 2008, does anyone honestly think Obama would have been elected president?

But all of this is small potatoes. This is not the big story.

Why does any of this matter now? Because Joe Biden is a brain-dead puppet. This is the third term of Obama. The proof is we are all reliving the nightmare Obama economy. Great for Wall Street and billion-dollar multi-national corporations. But a disaster for the American middle class and Main Street.

Second, Biden is fading fast- and everyone can see it. At the same time as Biden’s cognitive health is in freefall, all of his corruption from the past is pouring out of the closet. Biden is finished. He is toast. He will never make it to 2024.

Sometime this fall Biden will have a very public “episode” and be hospitalized. Soon thereafter he (or Jill) will announce he is stepping down for “health reasons.”

Who will replace him? Either Michelle Obama or Gavin Newsom. But whoever it is, Obama will be calling the shots from his nearby Washington DC mansion. That’s why this story matters.

I’ve had Obama pegged from the first day. Obama is the ultimate “Manchurian Candidate.” Gay is unimportant. What matters is he was groomed to be president by the Deep State and communist, fascist, globalist enemies of the United States. What matters is Obama is a radical Marxist tyrant carrying out the destruction of America.

Obama was tame in his first two terms. He was “boiling the frog slowly.” But Trump ruined his plan. Now Obama is trying to destroy this country as fast as he can, before Trump has a second chance to undo the damage.

And at the same time, Obama is coordinating the attacks on Trump to either imprison him, kill him, or disqualify him.

My guest on my show, “America’s Top Ten Countdown” on Real America’s Voice TV last week was former Illinois Governor Rod “Blago” Blagojevich. Blago’s Governor’s mansion was raided by an early morning FBI Swat team. Sound familiar?

I pointed out to “Blago” that Obama’s fingerprints were all over his frame job…and FBI SWAT raid…and long prison sentence. Obama set him up. Obama took away his freedom. I asked him to comment. Blago reported, “Obama set up the meeting that led to my arrest.”

Do you get it now? It’s the exact same M/O as what’s happening to President Trump. The same FBI raids, persecution, frame job. The same weaponization of government to destroy Obama’s political adversaries.

I’ve always said the key to understanding Obama was his time at Columbia University.

First, there is the “Ghost of Columbia” mystery. I was a Pre Law, Political Science major. So was Obama. He had to be in all the same classes as me. But he was never in one class. I never met Obama, never saw him, never heard of him, never met anyone at Columbia who has.

Obama got in, so why didn’t anyone ever see him? My educated guess is Obama was in the Soviet Union studying communism. Columbia had a “sister school” in Moscow. That would be the only real answer as to why Obama was rarely if ever seen at Columbia. He was being groomed way back then by the enemies of America.

Secondly, at Columbia we learned a plan to destroy America called “Cloward Piven.” I’ll bet Obama spent two years in the Soviet Union at our “sister school” becoming the world’s expert. Look around. Everything happening in America today is Cloward Piven…

The open borders bringing millions of foreigners into our country, changing our demographics forever. The explosion of welfare and bailouts. The Green New Deal. The destruction of our military. The end of the dollar as world reserve currency. The plans for pandemic lockdowns, climate change lockdowns and Central Bank Digital Currency. The censorship, banning of dissent, and weaponization of government against conservatives and Christians. Defund the police. The vicious criminals let out without bail. Critical Race Theory and Transgender brainwashing. Persecution of PTA parents. Conservatives and Christians classified as “domestic terrorists.” The arrest of political opponents. 87,000 new IRS agents. It’s all about Cloward Piven and communist-level control.

Sound familiar? It’s what Obama the “Manchurian Candidate” learned in the Soviet Union from the best. This man was groomed from day one by the communist and globalist enemies of America. He was sent to destroy us.

Now he’s working behind the scenes to finish the job. He is the man who ordered the spying on Trump. The framing of Trump. Now he’s the man directing the nonstop government attacks against Trump. Just as he did to Blago.

So, Obama being gay is the least of our worries. America is being destroyed. Obama is at the root of every evil thing happening.

Marjorie Taylor Greene: Biden Dragged US Into Proxy War With Russia That Moscow ‘Is Winning’

Republican firebrand Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has consistently spoken out against sending more arms supplies to Ukraine. After the Biden administration signed off on the delivery of DPICM cluster munitions to Kiev in July, the congresswoman warned that Washington was dragging the US into an unwanted war with Russia.
