Know How to Wait | VCY

He that believeth shall not make haste.Isaiah 28:16

He shall make haste to keep the Lord’s commandments; but he shall not make haste in any impatient or improper sense.

He shall not haste to run away, for he shall not be overcome with the fear which causes panic. When others are flying hither and thither as if their wits had failed them, the believer shall be quiet, calm, and deliberate, and so shall be able to act wisely in the hour of trial.

He shall not haste in his expectations, craving his good things at once and on the spot, but he will wait God’s time. Some are in a desperate hurry to have the bird in the hand, for they regard the Lord’s promise as a bird in the bush, not likely to be theirs. Believers know how to wait..

He shall not haste by plunging into wrong or questionable action. Unbelief must be doing something, and thus it works its own undoing; but faith makes no more haste than good speed, and thus it is not forced to go back sorrowfully by the way which it followed heedlessly.

How is it with me? Am I believing, and am I therefore keeping to the believer’s pace, which is walking with God? Peace, fluttering spirit! Oh, rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him! Heart, see that thou do this at once!

You Make Me Happy | Daily Devotionals by Thoughts about God.

In the movie The PatriotBenjamin Martin is a loving father who reluctantly goes to fight in the Revolutionary War. His youngest daughter Susan is too young to comprehend why her father has to go away and refuses to speak to him when he returns for a visit. He begs her to say something, anything. But she refuses. As he rides off on his horse to fight once again, Susan screams for her Papa not to go. All he has to do is tell her what he wants her to say, and she will say it. The father jumps of his horse and takes Susan in his arms and assures her that she doesn’t have to do anything. He delights in her because of who she is. He looks her in the eye and says, “You make me happy.”

What a blessing to receive from a father!  Receive this blessing from your Father as he kneels down to look you in the eye and say, “You make me happy.”

Listen with your spirit to Ephesians 1:3-6.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will- to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.”

Precious one, receive the defining love and grace of your God and Father of your Lord Jesus Christ.

You existed in God’s heart from eternity as a precious being before time was. You abide in his everlasting love that adopted you as his child through Jesus Christ.

Be blessed to hear your Father speak his blessings to you.

Be blessed to discover many deposits of his blessings in your inner being. Let them trickle down to soul, heart, emotions, will.

Be blessed to live and move in tune with your Father’s heart for your identity, legitimacy, and birthright. Jesus living in you is the unique glory of your life. He created you for the praise of his glorious grace. This is God’s final word on who you are. Be blessed as you receive all the good gifts of life-giving incarnation from the Spirit of the Life-giver in you. Receive his faith, hope, and love.

Your life is like a treasure map, and you are on a journey of discovery of your true identity, legitimacy, and confident freedom. Feel God’s light shining upon you, revealing the seven colors of the rainbow of his covenant to you.

Be blessed as your God and Father creates new pathways of significance where none has consciously existed.

Be blessed as you discover how the seven colors of God’s covenant are displayed in you.

Be blessed with deepening significance that you can sense should be there. Receive the gentle voice of your Father speaking in the core of your essence, “You are my beloved.

Don’t find your identity and legitimacy from any human person, thing, or accomplishment. Only your spirit connection with your Father is significant to your identity and legitimacy. That’s the truth of your life. Claim it, and live it.

Precious one, be blessed as you live your life as a redeemed eternal child of your eternal Father. His will for you is that you know that you are beautiful, his own special creation.

Be blessed to know that he determined for you an appointed place and time and purpose and that in him you live and move and have your being (Acts 17:26,28).

Be blessed to live and move in tune with your Father’s heart for your identity, legitimacy, calling, authority, and birthright. Today is the day of his favor for you.

Be blessed as you stand tall in all your legitimacy as a covenant right from your Father the King.

Be blessed as you choose to live from his heart and in your authority in him. Be blessed in Jesus’ name as a child of his God and Father (Ephesians 1:3).

Be blessed in the name of the Spirit of adoption (Romans 8:15 NKJV – Spirit of sonship in NIV).

While it does not yet meet the full criteria of the prophetic Psalms 83 war, the present conflict in Israel shows every sign of checking all those boxes in short order. Likely one or more of them will see this as the excuse they need and want to formally jump into the conflict.

The terrorists that entered one of the communities were equipped with maps, detailing the location of each home, the names of the families in each home and details of their residents. And he was so friendly. Everyone liked Ahmed.

Three reasons Biden’s visit to Israel was big boost of superpower support – but will Biden stick with us for the long haul?
I don’t agree with U.S. President Joe Biden on almost any of his domestic or foreign policies. But when he does the right thing, I’m not afraid to say so. And Biden did the right thing today. He became the first American president to visit Israel during a time of war.

The World Is Completely Going Mad
As I was walking to my office to write this article, I quietly uttered the phrase “the world is completely going mad” to myself.  Just about every form of evil that you can possibly imagine is exploding all around us, and now “war fever” is sweeping across the entire globe.  Unfortunately, the people that want war are going to get exactly what they have been clamoring for, and the consequences are going to be extremely bitter.

“The ordaining of laws in favor of one part of the nation, to the prejudice and oppression of another, is certainly the most erroneous and mistaken policy. FEATURED ANALYSIS

Hillary Memer Gets Seven Months

If there’s anything leftists hate more than conservative opinions, it’s humor.

Nate Jackson

To borrow one of Joe Biden’s most frequent lines, “Not a joke.”

Actually, it was. A Florida man posted memes and he’s going to jail for it.

Douglass Mackey, a.k.a. Ricky Vaughan online, was sentenced to seven months for posting some memes about voting for Hillary Clinton back in 2016. We suppose it’s obvious that United States District Judge Ann M. Donnelly didn’t get the joke because she — let’s just call her Karen — punished Mackey for election interference.

Great, now do Hillary.

Indeed, it is beyond ironic that Clinton interfered in the 2016 election — though we suppose we have to grant that she was a candidate — by paying for the Steele dossier and thus seeding the entire collusion hoax supposedly involving Russia and Donald Trump. It was fake, fabricated, and entirely phony, but it nearly saved herself from her own criminal email scandal that itself was meant to disguise possibly illegal Clinton Foundation pay-to-play shenanigans. The Russia hoax failed to elect Hillary, but it totally succeeded in undermining Trump’s only term, as he was weighed down by deep state actors doing Clinton’s bidding and then by congressional Democrats who impeached him the first time because the collusion hoax laid the groundwork.

It also set the stage for interference in the 2020 election via media suppression of the story about Hunter Biden’s laptop and Joe Biden’s own influence-peddling scheme. It was — get this — Russian disinformation, said 51 “intelligence experts” who interfered with the election and who now often enjoy gigs as cable news commentators.

Anyway.

Back to poor Douglass Mackey. “You are not being sentenced for your political beliefs or for expressing those beliefs,” Judge Karen assured him. “Each one of us has the right to hold opinions and express those opinions.”

So, if he had posted “Vote Trump” memes, he’d also be imprisoned? That’s rhetorical, of course, because Donnelly, a nominee of Barack Obama, used the Left’s new favorite slogan to berate Mackey: His behavior, she hyperbolically asserted, was “nothing short of an assault on our democracy.”

A look at mainstream media headlines also indicates the two-tiered justice at play: Mackey was a “far-right Twitter troll,” lampoons the New York Daily News. The New York Times headline called him a “Man Who Spread Misinformation on Trump’s Behalf.” The first words of the article are “A digital-age dirty-trickster…”

Biden’s “Justice” Department issued a statement about the case, saying Mackey was being punished “for his role in a conspiracy to interfere with potential voters’ right to vote in the 2016 election.” With a Twitter audience of roughly 58,000, the DOJ argued Mackey was able to influence a lot of people. Here’s its explanation:

For example, on November 1, 2016, in or around the same time that Mackey was sending tweets suggesting the importance of limiting “black turnout,” the defendant tweeted an image depicting an African American woman standing in front of an “African Americans for Hillary” sign. The ad stated: “Avoid the Line. Vote from Home,” “Text ‘Hillary’ to 59925,” and “Vote for Hillary and be a part of history.” The fine print at the bottom of the deceptive image stated: “Must be 18 or older to vote. One vote per person. Must be a legal citizen of the United States. Voting by text not available in Guam, Puerto Rico, Alaska or Hawaii. Paid for by Hillary For President 2016.” The tweet included the typed hashtag “#ImWithHer,” a slogan frequently used by Hillary Clinton. On or about and before Election Day 2016, thousands of unique telephone numbers texted “Hillary” or some derivative to the 59925 text number, which had been used in multiple deceptive campaign images tweeted by Mackey and his co-conspirators.

As we noted in January 2021, Mackey faced up to 10 years behind bars, which sort of makes seven months seem like a deal.

We don’t know the guy, and we aren’t here to defend his particular views, though we will note his wife did just have a baby this week. If you have even a basic understanding of elections, his memes were pretty humorous. And if anyone was actually dumb enough to fall for it, well, they might not ought to be voting in the first place.

We understand the difference between attempting to disenfranchise someone and a typical meme, but this is ultimately yet another instance of the Left not being able to handle humor. It reminds us how often we’ve been dinged by social media “fact-checkers” for telling a joke they didn’t get — or, more accurately, just didn’t like. The humorless Left wields enormous power.

As this is a story about memes and going to prison for crossing a Clinton, we’ll conclude by saying Douglass Mackey didn’t kill himself.

Tlaib Doubles Down on Gaza Hospital Lie

The Israel-hating Democrat congresswoman can’t seem to admit the truth about Hamas propaganda.

Douglas Andrews

When you find yourself in a hole, it’s usually a good idea to stop digging. Apparently, though, that age-old wisdom never made its way to Democrat Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib.

At a pro-Hamas rally outside the Capitol yesterday, Tlaib called up the crocodile tears and doubled down with a disjointed ramble: “That’s what’s been really painful. It’s, it’s just — continue to watch people think it’s okay to bomb a hospital where children. … You know what’s so hard sometimes is watching those videos and, and, the people telling the kids, ‘Don’t cry,’ and, like, let them cry. … They can cry, I can cry, we all can cry. If we’re not crying, something is wrong.”

Something is wrong, all right, but it’s not what Tlaib thinks. What’s wrong is her refusal to walk back the vile smear she threw out Tuesday afternoon: “Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that.”

As of this hour, her X post hasn’t been taken down, although it’s been helpfully appended with “Readers added context,” one bit coming from a Wall Street Journal report: “The U.S. has collected ‘high confidence’ intelligence showing that the explosion at a hospital compound in Gaza was caused by the militant group Palestinian Islamic Jihad, not an Israeli strike.”

Perhaps Tlaib doesn’t want to take the Journal’s word for it. But what about the word of Joe Biden’s National Security Council?

“While we continue to collect information,” posted NSC spokeswoman Adrienne Watson, “our current assessment, based on analysis of overhead imagery, intercepts and open source information, is that Israel is not responsible for the explosion at the hospital in Gaza yesterday.”

To be fair, though, most Democrats aren’t aligned with the Hamas Wing of their party. Not even John Fetterman, who last week lamented to Stephen Colbert that America “is not sending their best and brightest” to Congress, could support his Jew-hating colleagues’ increasingly untenable position.

“It’s truly disturbing” posted Fetterman’s handlers, “that Members of Congress rushed to blame Israel for the hospital tragedy in Gaza. Who would take the word of a group that just massacred innocent Israeli civilians over our key ally?”

When you’ve lost Senator Hoodie…

Typical of the sloppy reporting, even after it became clear that Israel wasn’t responsible for the explosion, was this headline from ABC News: “Hundreds killed in explosion at Gaza hospital: Gaza Health Ministry,” which was followed by a more specific claim within the article itself: “At least 500 people have been killed in an explosion at Al Ahli Arab Hospital in the middle of Gaza City, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.”

The Hamas propaganda wasn’t just the blaming of Israel; it was also the making up of a location and a casualty count. As we noted yesterday, it wasn’t an airstrike, it didn’t hit a hospital, it didn’t kill hundreds, and Israel didn’t do it. But other than that, the reporting was accurate.

But what are we to expect when our mainstream media trusts its reporting to the Gaza Ministry of Health, which is nothing more than a propaganda organ for Hamas?

Asked this morning on Fox News about whether Tlaib might have evidence to back up her claims, Republican Senator Marco Rubio pulled no punches: “Well, we’ve seen evidence that she’s lying, and that she doesn’t know what she’s talking about, and that she’s just parroting the Hamas line. … We need to stop referring to the Gaza Ministry of Health. It is the Hamas Ministry of Health. … Both Senator [Mark] Warner, a Democrat, and I — he’s the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and I’m the vice chairman — we’ve put out a statement together, we’ve both reviewed the intelligence available … and we are convinced that this was not an Israeli strike. … I think the danger here is that [Tlaib’s words] aren’t just annoying words. They are leading to action. We see unrest in Amman. We see unrest in Lebanon. We see growing unrest in the West Bank. We see it developing all over the world, [and it could] threaten the governments of countries that are critical to stability in the Middle East, like Jordan, like Lebanon, like Egypt.”

Perhaps we shouldn’t expect more from a congresswoman who flies a “Palestinian” flag outside the door of her DC office, but what about the professionals? Shouldn’t we demand more from those to whom we entrust “the first draft of history”?

Perhaps not — at least not when it comes to the Jewish state. “The media holding Israel to a different standard, in this context, than it would any other country is a form of discrimination,” said former George W. Bush foreign policy adviser Dan Senor, who added, “I would say there’s some underlying anti-Semitism in the way some parts of the media covers any conflict Israel is in.”

This seems right to us. It’ll be interesting to see whether Tlaib rescinds and apologizes or simply lays low and lets the storm blow over. From what we know of Tlaib, we’d bet big on the latter.

Executive News Summary

Jim Jordan falls short again, another big foreign aid package, Arkansas kicks out the ChiComs, and more.

Nate Jackson & Jordan Candler

Cross-Examination

  • Jordan bows out: We may have House Speaker Pro Tem Patrick McHenry as interim until January. Having failed to collect the necessary 217 votes needed for the speakership in Tuesday’s first floor vote, Ohio Republican and House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan came up short once again on Wednesday, this time receiving just 198 votes from his GOP colleagues after having gotten 200 in the previous floor vote. The 22 House Republicans who voted against him voted instead for an array of others, including former speaker McCarthy, Majority Leader Steve Scalise, former Congressman Lee Zeldin, and Jordan’s Freedom Caucus colleague Byron Donalds. One dimwitted colleague, Pennsylvania’s Mike Kelly, voted for lachrymose former speaker John Boehner, who last wielded the speaker’s gavel in 2015. Jordan opted to cancel the third scheduled vote today. Democrats in both chambers will continue to enjoy a hearty laugh at Republicans’ expense.
  • Another big foreign aid package: In light of Hamas’s attack on Israel, the Biden administration is working on a major $100 billion foreign aid package. Yet of the $100 billion reportedly being considered, just $10 billion will go to Israel, while the bulk of the rest will go to Ukraine. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer wants to move it “as quickly as possible because the needs are great in both Israel and Ukraine.” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, however, wants to make sure that it includes money for our own border — a novel idea. And, he said, “The border part of it needs to be credible.” As always, bundling more spending together is meant to attract votes — or at least make it harder to oppose.
  • “Pay to Slay”: Speaking of money and Israel, the Palestinian Authority, which, as David Strom notes, “is recognized by the UN and officially recognized as the government of a Palestinian state by over 100 governments around the world,” is paying the families of “martyrs.” Ever wonder where “humanitarian” aid to the so-called Palestinians goes? Roughly $300 million annually goes to the families of jihadists killed while fighting Israel. That includes the terrorists killed during and after the latest assault.
  • Semiconductor restrictions: Industrial policy is rarely made better by government regulation or interference, but there are some sectors of the economy that do have what Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo called “clear national security or human rights implications.” She’s referring to the Biden administration’s new restrictions on exporting artificial intelligence chips and manufacturing equipment to China. “The goal is the same goal that has always been,” she said, “which is to limit PRC [People’s Republic of China] access to advanced semiconductors that could fuel breakthroughs in artificial intelligence.” China is famous for intellectual property theft. Semiconductor production is hugely important for the United States, which is one of many reasons we must deter Chinese aggression in Taiwan, where a significant portion of such semiconductors are made.
  • Good news: Arkansas kicks out the ChiComs: The troubling rise in American land purchases by Chinese firms has run into its first obstacle: Arkansas. The state became the first in the nation to order the divestment of a Chinese company, Syngenta Seeds, which must now get out of Arkansas. “We will make sure that every company operating in Arkansas is a friend to Arkansas and good to hard-working Arkansans,” said Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. That certainly isn’t true of Syngenta, a subsidiary of ChemChina, which is considered by the Defense Department to be a threat to the U.S. Other states are almost certain to follow Arkansas’s lead.
  • Texas builds border wall with NEW Mexico: Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott has prioritized his state’s southern border. How could he not? His state has borne the brunt of the intentional invasion caused by Joe Biden’s open-border policies. But it seems that Texas’s western border is also a problem, as illegals are crossing into New Mexico and then moving to El Paso. Abbott addressed that by ordering a concertina wire barrier along portions of the border with New Mexico. Democrats wasted no time decrying “harmful border stunts” instead of doing anything themselves to stop the crisis.

Keep Your Eyes on China

The latest conflict in the Middle East is solidifying the new Axis of Evil.

Emmy Griffin

With the horrific attack on Israel by the terrorist group Hamas that left more than 1,400 Israelis dead, the West is distracted from its most formidable foreign adversary, China. The Chinese have neglected to condemn the actions of the Islamic terrorists and instead are focusing on the Israeli countermeasures being carried out against Hamas in Gaza. As with Vladimir Putin and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, President Xi Jinping chooses to align himself with the side that is anti-West and would put a strain on U.S. resources.

This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. The Chinese have long been voicing their ambition to take over Taiwan (or take it back, in their view), and the U.S. has been the deterrent from that particular aggression. Beijing has been biding its time, and now it has the added boon of a weak and feckless U.S. president; ergo, its aggression has been largely unchecked.

Over the past two years, People’s Liberation Army (PLA) fighter jets have been “coercive” and “risky” in their behaviors toward U.S. fighter jets. More than 180 encounters with the PLA have resulted in antagonism and provocation on the part of PLA pilots. This is a significant acceleration in aggression.

The Chinese have been accused of infiltrating and subverting various Western democracies all over the world. This includes such countries as the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and even the U.S.

The infiltration of U.S. lawmakers’ confidences — such as Congressman Eric Swalwell’s (D-CA) relationship with a Chinese spy, and another was an aide to the late Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) — have been the most high profile in recent years, but other measures of less visibility have been perpetrated as well. Emails have been hacked. Military bases have been trespassed upon. Chinese companies have been buying up American farmland. Chinese influence peddling is suspected in President Joe Biden’s case as well. The espionage and influence of the Chinese is cause for alarm.

In September, China decided to up the ante on tensions in the South China Sea. Taiwan reported that swarms of Chinese fighter jets were doing practice runs over the Taiwan Strait in staged attempts to block U.S. aid to Taiwan during the long prognosticated invasion. China also used the month of September to antagonize the Philippines and try to lay claim to several islands and shoals belonging to that island nation.

This month, with the world’s eyes on Israel, China has taken the opportunity to solidify its alliance with Russia. Putin visited Beijing this week as part of Xi’s Belt and Road Initiative conference. The Belt and Road Initiative is Xi’s pet foreign policy project, and it’s a ruse for going into poorer third-world countries and economically enslaving them under the auspices of giving them infrastructure. This particular conference was an opportunity for the Russian dictator to visit his old friend and ally and discuss what was going on in the world and in the West.

All the while, in the background of China’s aggression and strong facade is the fact that its economy is crumbling under its feet. China has too much debt and its cities are rife with empty buildings. Furthermore, China’s restrictive policies toward foreign businesses are driving away more economic opportunity. When China’s economy is on the fritz, its usual solution is to go on the offensive against its neighbors.

As the Middle East threatens to boil over, both Xi and Putin have declined to condemn Hamas’s acts but have called for a ceasefire. Their positions are clear: The attacks on Israel are yet another symptom of why the West needs to be out of power and the East should be the next global hegemony. It would be deeply unwise for the West in general and the U.S. in particular to take their eyes off China.

Self-Hating Jews Side With Hamas

Angry anti-Israel leftists staged a noisy protest inside the House rotunda.

Douglas Andrews

No, it wasn’t an insurrection. And, no, no middle-aged white dude put his dirty feet on Nancy Pelosi’s desk. But still.

Yesterday afternoon’s noisy stunt at the Cannon House Office Building — ostensibly to demand a ceasefire in Gaza amid an Israel-Hamas war that is only now being lost by the murderous thugs who started it — resulted in multiple arrests, perhaps as many as 100, and including three people who assaulted a police officer, according to the Capitol Police.

What is it with these people that makes them want to throw in with the gang rapists, the baby killers, the genocidal monsters? And worse: Don’t these people have any sense of decency, any sense of respect for sacred places? This was, after all, the rotunda of the Cannon House Office Building, the same place where Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer once donned slave-trading Ashanti Kente cloths and took a knee in remembrance of The Martyr George Floyd.

What’s most interesting about yesterday’s non-insurrection, though, was that many of its participants were self-hating Jews — Jews wearing black shirts emblazoned with the message “NOT IN OUR NAME.” Apparently, in the wake of an unprovoked and barbaric attack by Islamist terrorists who murdered more than 1,400 Israeli civilians and 30 Americans and took 199 others hostage, these delusional protesters still think their fellow Jews can live in peace upon their ancient homeland with Hamas launching missiles and plotting their destruction right next door in Gaza.

The group leading the demonstration calls itself the Jewish Voice for Peace, “Jews organizing toward Palestinian liberation and Judaism beyond Zionism.” The group put out a social media statement: “The root of violence is oppression, and we’re here to say not in our names. We have the power to stop the ongoing atrocities against Palestinians. We refuse to standby as the Israeli government commits genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.”

And we thought Noam Chomsky was a trip.

The same group also protested outside the White House on Monday, along with another group of anti-Jewish Jews, the “If Not Now” movement, which was also present yesterday at the rotunda. We’re certain that Hamas appreciates their support.

Elsewhere on Capitol Hill yesterday, three pro-Hamas protesters disrupted a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing to confirm Jack Lew, Joe Biden’s nominee for ambassador to Israel. As The Daily Caller reports: “The protesters began shouting during the opening statements of committee Chairman Democratic Maryland Sen. Ben Cardin and Republican Idaho Sen. Jim Risch before capitol police escorted them out of the hearing chambers and arrested them. … The protesters, who began shouting within minutes of each other, demanded a ‘ceasefire’ from Israel and claimed that the terrorist attacks on the nation were Palestinians ‘fighting back’ against ‘Israeli genocide.’”

It’ll be interesting to see what happens to these three, given that hundreds of January 6 tourists were charged with “corruptly obstructing, influencing or impeding an official proceeding, or attempting to do so.” These three certainly impeded a Senate hearing yesterday. And last time we checked, Senate hearings were official proceedings.

An Ultimatum for Qatar: Extradite the Hamas Leader or Face U.S. Wrath

Qatar’s ruler must choose: Does he stand with the terrorists or with us?

Jeff Jacoby

Following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, President George W. Bush issued a blunt demand to Afghanistan’s Islamist dictators, who had long sheltered Al Qaeda’s top officials.

“Turn [Osama bin Laden] over,” the president said. “Turn him over, turn his cohorts over, turn any hostages they hold over, destroy all the terrorist camps. … This is nonnegotiable.”

In the wake of the Oct. 7 Hamas massacre in southern Israel, President Biden should be issuing a similar message to Qatar. The rich Persian Gulf sheikhdom has for years underwritten Hamas’s control of Gaza, funded its killing operations, and shielded its senior leadership. That makes it a key collaborator in what Biden called the “pure, unadulterated evil” of the barbaric Oct. 7 slaughter of at least 1,300 Israelis and the abduction of at least 199 hostages.

Israel was the foremost target of the bloody Hamas rampage, but those killed by the terrorists included 30 US citizens too. As many as 13 Americans may be among the captives held in Gaza. Which means, as Biden said, that the campaign to destroy Hamas is necessary not just for Israel’s welfare but for “the security of the United States.”

It is time to put an end to Qatar’s pro-Hamas duplicity. The president’s visit this week to Israel provides the right opportunity to say so.

Many Americans know that Iran’s Islamist regime is a major sponsor of terror and has provided weapons, training, and logistical support to Hamas. The State Department has reported that Iran provides about $100 million annually to an array of terrorist groups, Hamas among them.

But Qatar’s role is even more sinister.

To begin with, Hamas’s main headquarters and top leaders are located in Doha, the Qatari capital. Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas, resides in Qatar. So does Izzat Al-Risheq, who oversees Hamas’s media operations. Neither the regime in Doha nor Hamas makes any secret of the fact that Qatar harbors some of the worst terrorists on earth. “Footage last week showed Haniyeh, 61, smiling and praying from the comfort of his air-conditioned Doha office to celebrate the slaughter of Israelis,” The Telegraph reported this week. “In the video, Haniyeh and 12 of his henchmen are seen dressed in freshly pressed suits as they watch the horror unfold on a widescreen TV.”

Qatar’s financial underwriting of Hamas far exceeds that of Iran. Since 2018, it has reportedly provided $30 million in cash per month to the thugs who rule Gaza. In 2021, Qatar started shipping $10 million worth of fuel to Gaza each month; proceeds from the sale of the fuel are used to pay as many as 50,000 Hamas operatives.

In short, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the emir and dictator of Qatar, is the main foreign enabler of Hamas. Even more than Iran, it is he who facilitated Hamas’s military empire in the Gaza Strip. Yet he escapes obloquy because Qatar is treated as an American ally. Al Thani simultaneously presents himself as a loyal friend to the United States and a loyal backer of those who murder US citizens. On Oct. 13, he hosted Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Doha, joining him at a press conference during which the American warned that “there can be no more business as usual with Hamas.” One day later, it was Iran’s foreign minister who was in Doha, where he met with Haniyeh and praised the Hamas leader for the “historic victory” achieved by killing so many Jews.

The double game played by Qatar is morally abominable. It’s also a slap in the face to the United States and to the Biden administration, which last year rewarded Qatar with the designation of “major non-NATO ally.” Whatever justification there may have been for such complacency in the past, it vanished on Oct. 7, when Hamas gunmen unleashed a bloodbath in Israel, killing and kidnapping dozens of Americans in the process.

Biden needs to deliver a “nonnegotiable” ultimatum to Qatar, just as Bush did to the rulers of Afghanistan in 2001: Extradite the Hamas commanders who are in Doha so that they can be brought to justice for the American blood on their hands. Refuse to do so, Al Thani ought to be told, and there will be stiff consequences: Qatar will promptly be redesignated as a state sponsor of terrorism. All military sales will be canceled. The US Air Force assets based at Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base will be relocated. And more repercussions will follow.

Qatar’s ruler must choose: Does he stand with the terrorists or with us? For too long he has had it both ways. No more.

SHORT CUTS

Non Compos Mentis

“Perhaps the major achievement of the resistance in the temporary takeover of these settler-colonies is the death blow to any confidence that Israeli colonists had in their military and its ability to protect them. … As the ongoing war between the Israeli colonial army and the indigenous Palestinian resistance has only just begun, the days to come will surely be crucial in determining if this is the start of the Palestinian War of Liberation or yet another battle in the interminable struggle between the colonizer and the colonized.” —Columbia University professor Joseph Massad

Village Academies

“According to some of America’s most talented young people, a little country founded after a mid-century genocide of six million Jews, occupying about 8% of the land mass of the Middle East, surrounded by Islamists for whom nothing short of Israel’s utter destruction will be enough, is at fault for the attacks and attempted conquest to which it so often has been subject. This mentality is, in part, the fruit of the propaganda to which they have been subject in the name of education.” —Rob Schwarzwalder

“Our State Department maintains a list of countries that are the worst violators of religious liberty and human rights. They are almost always radical Islamic or godless communist countries. Of the 12 countries on that list, five are Islamic nations and four are communist nations. That’s the same coalition that dominates our university campuses — Islamists and Marxists.” —Gary Bauer

Friendly Fire

“It’s truly disturbing that Members of Congress rushed to blame Israel for the hospital tragedy in Gaza. Who would take the word of a group that just massacred innocent Israeli civilians over our key ally?” —Senator John Fetterman (D-PA)

Leftmedia

“The willingness of the media to believe a bunch of murderers and rapists uncritically is astounding.” —Erielle Davidson

“Watching the news since October 7 is like watching all of Jew-hating history condensed into a 12-day period: Holocaust-level pogrom, Holocaust denial, blood libel, assurance by ‘all the right people’ that the Jews ought not defend themselves.” —Ben Shapiro

“Insular media elites have a nasty habit of thinking they represent democracy. They aren’t a half or a third of democracy. They own it. Like they’ve trademarked it. Anyone who dares to attack them is attacking democracy. … Leftist reporters should have the humility to suggest they are just a part of democracy, and another part of democracy is people criticizing the crusading reporters. It’s a part of democracy to say The Washington Post is a pack of arrogant jerks seeking to destroy Republicans and elect Democrats. That viewpoint should never ‘die in darkness.’” —Tim Graham

For the Record

“Hamas’s main headquarters and top leaders are located in Doha, the Qatari capital. … Qatar’s financial underwriting of Hamas far exceeds that of Iran. In short, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the emir and dictator of Qatar, is the main foreign enabler of Hamas.” —Jeff Jacoby

“Everyone in the world knows that the primary goal of Hamas is the extinction of the state of Israel and the death of every Jew who lives there. Anyone who provides a cent to such an organization is responsible when the organization turns its stated goals into murderous action.” —Washington Examiner

Upright

“America can flex her muscles without using them. In fact, we should. A world without America is a dark and chaotic place — and a more dangerous place for America. All that can be avoided — so long as America doesn’t go wobbly.” —Ben Shapiro

Levin: After THIS ‘how could you NOT call Hamas Nazis?’ – Conservative Review

While America is divided on the Israel-Palestine conflict, Mark Levin is sure that one side is getting it right.

And that’s the side that isn’t cheering on what Levin calls “the second Holocaust.”

“I understand 6 million Jews are not being slaughtered,” he explains, “but they want to slaughter 7 million Jews. That’s the whole point of this.”

While many Americans believe they know what happened during the Holocaust, they don’t know just how involved the Palestinians were in it.

In 1941, Haj Amin Al Husani, the grand mufti of Jerusalem, fled to Germany and met with Adolf Hitler and other Nazi leaders in order to persuade them to extend the Nazis’ anti-Jewish program to the Arab world.

The grand mufti offered to help the Third Reich slaughter Jews in the Middle East and contributed 5,000 men to the Third Reich army.

This mindset has not been left behind, but it’s been carried on to the Palestinian people, who are taught at a young age that the Jews are not human beings.

“They’re taught that they kill, dismember, and cannibalize Palestinian babies and so forth. The most horrendous kind of indoctrination and propaganda at the earliest ages,” Levin explains.

Essentially, the children are being taught to reflect Nazi values.

“So, Al Husani was a Nazi,” Levin says, and now “they want to blame the Jews and they want to blame Israel.”

“Their long-term if not short-term goal,” he continues, “is to blow the Jews out. To obliterate them, to mass kill them. Genocide, that’s their objective.”

And Mahmoud Abbas, the president of Palestine, is overseeing it.

“The truth is Abbas is a very, very wealthy man,” Levin explains. “He controls every penny that comes in there. They run it like the mob, they divide their economy in the sectors, he puts family members in charge of the sectors or his closest friends or political allies in charge of the sectors, and they rule over the economy and they rule over these towns like butchers.”

And they use that power to raise potential terrorists.

“As long as they can keep indoctrinating and brainwashing the children who become, many cases, terrorists, and focus their fire on the Jews in Israel, they can continue to line their pockets,” he adds.

More Than 3,000 Actors and Musicians Sign Letter Accusing Israel of ‘War Crimes’- Silent on Hamas Targeting and Murdering Civilians (Video) | The Gateway Pundit

An open letter from Artists for Palestine UK, signed by more than 3,000 actors, artists and musicians, is being criticized for its tone deaf condemnation of Israel and complete omission of the Hamas terrorist attacks which targeted civilians.

The letter claims Israeli airstrikes and the government’s decision to cut off food, water and fuel to the region amounted to “war crimes,” but of the slaughter of babies and elderly at the hands of Hamas terrorists, apparently not so much.

THE LETTER IN FULL:

“We are witnessing a crime and a catastrophe. Israel has reduced much of Gaza to rubble, and cut off the supply of water, power, food and medicine to 2.3 million Palestinians. In the words of the UN’s undersecretary for humanitarian affairs, ‘the spectre of death’ is hanging over the territory.

Gaza is already a society of refugees and the children of refugees. Now, in their hundreds of thousands, bombarded from air, sea and land, Palestinians whose grandparents were forced out of their homes at the barrel of a gun are again being told to flee – or face collective punishment on an unimaginable scale.  Dispossessed of rights, described by Israel’s minister of defence as “human animals”, they have become people to whom almost anything can be done.

Our governments are not only tolerating war crimes but aiding and abetting them. There will come a time when they are held to account for their complicity. But for now, while condemning every act of violence against civilians and every infringement of international law whoever perpetrates them, our obligation is to do all we can to bring an end to the unprecedented cruelty being inflicted on Gaza.

We support the global movement against the destruction of Gaza and the mass displacement of the Palestinian people. We demand that our governments end their military and political support for Israel’s actions.

We call for an immediate ceasefire and the opening of Gaza’s crossings to allow humanitarian aid to enter unhindered.”

David Mencer, an expert on the Middle East and former director of Labour Friends of Israel, joined GB News and pointed out the ridiculousness of the letter saying, “I’m speaking to you live from Tel Aviv,” Mencer said, “and I think the perspective from here right now is to me, it looks like you’ve got to be a special kind of Jew hater to sign this sort of drivel.”

He added: “This letter is so misguided and misplaced, I simply say to this group of misfits and weirdos, that I invite them to rescue their alien careers and try their chances as artists in Gaza under the Hamas regime.”

“You know, if they do that, I promise to sign a letter when they are locked up by Hamas.”

“They’d be lucky if they’re locked up because they’d be most likely, judging from Hamas record, have their throats cut.”

Watch:

Mencer was asked if he had a message for those who signed the letter and shared, “I would say that it would be a great idea if you took a little trip down to Hamas and educated yourself into the Gaza Strip and see what it’s like for artists trying to, you know, perhaps give over any sort of opposition from the genocide or Islamic under all this regime.

“Now just educate yourself. Go and visit and then come over to Israel and see the flourishing democratic scene which exists here in Israel and compare the two and then I make a decision about where you’d rather live.”

Some of those who signed the letter are walking back their initial support after backlash.

Actor Sam Heughan, from Outlander fame, claims he “inadvertently signed something that does not reflect my beliefs.”

In seems actors and Harvard students struggle with reading comprehension.

4D Chess: Biden Offers The Palestinians $100 Million In Exchange For None Of The Hostages | Babylon Bee

TEL AVIV — In a stunning move sure to be taught at universities in politics and diplomacy classes for generations to come, President Joe Biden has brokered a deal to send $100 million of U.S. taxpayer money to the Palestinian Authority in exchange for none of the hostages currently being held by Hamas.

“Here’s the deal,” Biden mumbled to the gathered media. “Nobody’s ever done anything like this. We’re going to send 100 million…billion trillion…100 thousand…all of the…the…100 million dollars to…to the…to the folks that…those folks there. Philistines. Planetfiends. Palestines. Palestinians. And in return, I have asked for none of the people being held hostage by Hamas to be released. I worked hard on this deal and held firm until they agreed to take it. I showed them who’s boss. Marginzarfinabit…”

The deal, which was quickly agreed to by the Palestinian Authority, is believed to provide much-needed humanitarian relief to the Palestinian people by funding the purchase and assembly of more rockets, bombs, and small arms. “Our people are starving and thirsty,” said Palestinian Authority spokesman Omar Hassan Bakalakadaka. “This influx of funding from the United States will go a long way toward paying for further violent acts to be perpetrated against Israeli civilians. Thank you, President Biden, and death to Israel.”

Biden has promised the Palestinians he will authorize another $100 million after the first $100 million is spent, in exchange for nothing whatsoever.

At publishing time, the White House stressed that the administration was more than willing to take the Palestinian Authority at its word that none of the $100 million would be used for all of the things the Palestinian Authority always uses money for, such as weapons and horrific acts of terrorism.

It’s Not Just Students: Meet the Professors Leading the Academic Embrace of Hamas – Conservative Review

An Ohio State University student group last week held a “day of resistance” rally that saw organizers defend Hamas terrorism and condemn Israel’s “apartheid system.” Behind that group is a socialist English professor who has long supported Palestinian terrorists and advocated for the end of the Jewish state.

Inside Black Lives Matter’s Long History With Hamas-Friendly Activists – Conservative Review

Black Lives Matter chapters across the country made waves last week when they praised Hamas’s attack on Israel. It’s merely the latest instance of the progressive group making common cause with the terrorist group. A coalition of 26 local chapters called the attacks a “desperate act of self-defense.” The Chicago chapter shared an image glorifying Hamas gunmen on paragliders. And the movement’s Phoenix branch praised Hamas “freedom fighters” for their acts of “resistance.”

Son of Hamas leader breaks silence on decision to denounce terror group: ‘They don’t care’ about Palestinians | FOX news

The son of a founding Hamas leader broke his silence on his decision to denounce the terrorist group after he turned on his own family and converted to Christianity when he saw the horrors of the group’s reign firsthand.

Mosab Hassan Yousef, who spied in favor of the Israelis and sought asylum in the U.S., spoke out on his decision to leave the life of terror behind during “FOX & Friends.”

“I was born at the heart of Hamas leadership… and I know them very well. They don’t care for the Palestinian people. They do not regard the human life,” Yousef told Brian Kilmeade Thursday.

“I saw their brutality firsthand back in 1996 when I spent about a year and a half in Megiddo Prison… They killed so many Palestinian people at that point, and this is when I decided that I cannot be together with this movement.”

“I had to be honest with myself. Even though Hamas gave me advantages…. I was like a prince in that world… but I did not like them,” he continued. “I turned against even my own blood… because this is how much I did not like Hamas, and today, 25 years later, they are the rulers of Gaza, and we see what they are capable of doing.”

His remarks come almost two weeks after the terror group carried out a massacre on Israeli border communities, murdering and dismembering civilians, including children, and taking hostages.

They also reportedly have upwards of 200 hostages held in Gaza, which is currently facing dire food, water and medicine shortages.

Israel declared war shortly thereafter and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have traded airstrikes with Hamas as a ground invasion remains imminent.

“Hamas is not a national movement. Hamas is a religious movement with a goal to establish an Islamic state,” Yousef said. “They don’t care for nationalism. Actually, they are against nationalism. But that’s my understanding that they are using the Palestinian cause only to achieve their goals, so the long-term goal… [is] transforming the Middle East and the world into an Islamic state.

But Yousef said the real culprit behind the scenes is Iran – a known sponsor of the terror group.

The country’s foreign minister posted an ominous tweet on Wednesday that said time is “running out” for Israel.

“Iran is the real master in this picture,” Yousef said. “Hamas does not serve the Palestinian people, Hamas serves Iran. Those are the masters of Hamas. So their lie about nationalism, that they are a national movement… They are using Palestinian people as a human shield.”

“We need to free Gaza from Hamas,” he continued. “Israel … is doing the Palestinian people the greatest favor by bringing Hamas down.”

At least 4,800 people have been killed on both sides since the war began earlier this month, including at least 30 Americans.
