Israeli Gaza Invasion Imminent | CBN NewsWatch – October 20, 2023

President Biden giving a rare primetime address Thursday calling on Congress to pass an urgent budget request for military aid to both Ukraine and Israel. “Crush and Conquer.” That’s the stated goal for a ground invasion of the Gaza strip and one Israeli Minister says the IDF has the green light. President Biden praised the courage of the Israeli people in the aftermath of the Hamas attack. Israeli hospitals are preparing for an influx of casualties once greater military action begins in Gaza and possibly near the Lebanon border. A Georgia Pastor who was in Israel when the war broke out is thanking god for what he calls the miraculous rescue of him and 30 other people.

WATCH: Joe Biden’s Senior Moment of the Week (Vol. 65) | Washington Free Beacon

Old man urges Jew-hating terrorists to ‘learn how to shoot straight’

President Joe Biden traveled to Israel this week in an attempt to show support for the Jewish state as members of his own party spouted anti-Semitic propaganda. It didn’t go well.

Biden, who turns 81 next month, lamented the rise of “Islamicphobia [sic],” praised the Israeli military as “one of the finest fighting forces in the country,” and urged Palestinian terrorists to “learn how to shoot straight” after a rocket fired at Israel landed in a hospital parking lot in Gaza.

Speaking of tragic malfunctions, the president narrowly averted what could have been a fatal fall on a short staircase during an event in Philadelphia.

Have a great weekend!

Israel outlines future relations with Gaza | RT World News by RT

The defense minister says the country will abandon all responsibility for the Palestinian enclave after a ground offensive

Israel outlines future relations with Gaza

Israel will wash its hands of Gaza once it has completed its ground military operation and vanquished Hamas, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has said. The Financial Times, citing an anonymous Israeli official, reported that the new approach means that Gazans will not be allowed to enter Israel or work there.

Addressing the Israeli Parliament’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Friday, Gallant told lawmakers that Israel will no longer have “responsibility for day-to-day life in the Gaza Strip” once the hostilities are over.

According to the minister, the Israeli military operation will consist of three phases – the first being heavy aerial bombardment, which is already underway. It will also include ground maneuvers “with the purpose of destroying operatives and damaging infrastructure in order to defeat and destroy Hamas.” The second phase will see lower-intensity fighting in the enclave, aimed at eliminating “pockets of resistance,” according to Gallant. The military action will end with the “creation of a new security regime” in Gaza.

Washington pressuring Israel to delay Gaza ground op – Bloomberg

The Financial Times quoted an unnamed Israeli official as saying that “Israel will not be part of the solution in terms of giving [Gazans] work.

We’ve disconnected the umbilical cord,” he added.

The official told the media outlet that all existing border crossings between Gaza and Israel will be closed.

Israel occupied and had settlements in Gaza from 1967 to 2005. Up until the latest escalation, the country continued to supply basic utilities such as water and electricity to the densely populated Palestinian territory. The movement of people and goods had been severely restricted by Israel for years.

On Saturday, Bloomberg claimed that US and Israeli officials were conducting secret talks on the post-Hamas future of Gaza. According to the media outlet, one scenario currently under consideration is the installation of an interim government backed by the UN and Arab nations. The report added that the discussions are still in the early stages, with no guarantee that neighboring countries will go along with the supposed plans.

The conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on October 7 after Palestinian militants launched a massive missile attack and surprise incursion. Israel retaliated with air strikes on Gaza.

According to local officials on both sides, the latest round of violence has left at least 4,100 Palestinians and 1,400 Israelis dead, with thousands more wounded. The UN and human rights groups have warned of a looming humanitarian disaster in Gaza.

Israel tells citizens to leave Egypt and Jordan, avoid travel to Muslim nations | JNS

Israel has reportedly evacuated diplomats from several countries in the region over fears for their safety.

Israel called on its citizens on Saturday to immediately leave Egypt and Jordan, two Arab countries with which it has formal peace treaties, over concerns Jews could be attacked there due to the conflict with the Hamas terror group.

“Given the ongoing war, we are witnessing a significant increase in anti-Israel protests in the past few days in countries around the world, and in particular Arab countries in the Middle East,” the Israeli National Security Council and Foreign Ministry said in a joint statement.

“Hostility and violence have been displayed against Jewish and Israeli symbols. The rhetoric of global jihad has become more extreme, which is calling to harm Israelis and Jews around the world,” it added.

Consequently, the travel alerts for Egypt (including Sinai) and Jordan were raised to Level 4 (high threat level), recommending Israelis to not visit these countries and for those already there to depart.

The travel alert for Morocco was raised to Level 3 with the recommendation to avoid any non-essential travel to the North African country.

The NSC also reiterated its call for Israelis to:

• Avoid travel to any Middle Eastern or Arab countries, including Türkiye, Egypt (and Sinai), Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco.

• Avoid travel to Muslim countries for which travel alerts have been issued, including Malaysia, Bangladesh and Indonesia, as well as Muslim countries with no travel alert, such as the Maldives.

Israel’s Foreign Ministry has also reportedly evacuated diplomats from several countries in the region over fears for their safety.

Hamas terrorists killed at least 1,400 Israelis and wounded more than 4,500 in a massive offensive launched from Gaza on Oct. 7, which included the firing of thousands of rockets at Israel and the infiltration of the Jewish state by terrorist forces.

Two Israeli tourists and their local guide were shot dead in Egypt on Oct. 8.

Five days later, an Israeli embassy official was attacked in Beijing.

Confidence in US news media hits record low – poll | RT – Daily news by RT

Less than a third of Americans say they trust the media to report the news fully and accurately

Only 32% of Americans trust the media to report the news fairly and accurately, while a record 39% do not trust the media at all, according to a Gallup poll published Friday.

The share of Americans who expressed trust in the media matches the record low the pollster recorded in 2016, while the previous record for total distrust was 38%.

Even Democrat party supporters, who tend to have more confidence in the media than Republicans, have lost faith in the news over the last year to a significant degree – just 58% expressed some level of trust in the news. This is a 12-point decline from 2022’s figures, a change attributed to the diminishing trust among younger Democrats.

Only 11% of Republicans reported some confidence in the media establishment, according to Friday’s poll. However, the 47-point gap between respondents from the two major US political parties is the narrowest recorded since 2016, when Republicans’ trust in the establishment had fallen dramatically.

The survey sampled 1,016 Americans during the first two weeks of September. It is only the second time since Gallup began asking the question in 1972 that more Americans professed no confidence at all in the media than those who claimed to have a great deal or fair amount of trust.

Even in the midst of the ‘fake news’ crisis during the 2016 presidential election, the Americans polled were more likely to say they had ‘not very much’ trust in the media (41%), rather than ‘none at all’ (27%).

Biden blames the press for bad poll numbers

While between 68% and 72% of Americans expressed some amount of trust in the media when polled in the 1970s, that portion has declined significantly in recent years. Since 2005, when 44% of poll respondents expressed some confidence in the media establishment, fewer than half have told Gallup that they trusted the media to report the news fairly and accurately.

In July, a Gallup poll found just 18% of respondents had confidence in newspapers and just 16% in television news – lower than Big Tech or the banking industry (at 26% each). Only Congress (8%) and Big Business (14%) consistently ranked lower.

Journalists’ ethical standards were rated as ‘low’ or ‘very low’ by 42% of respondents in a January poll – above car salesmen and telemarketers, but below lawyers and real estate agents. While the media establishment and the public relations firms that service it have been fretting about the public’s growing distrust in their industry for years, they have been unable to reverse the trend.

Why Did Hamas Really Release Those Two Hostages? | Conservative Dispatch

Does anyone really trust Hamas? I mean, really trust Hamas? Sure, if you’re a member of the Squad or part of the pro-Palestinian radical left, you probably do, but I can’t think of a reason why anyone should trust these terrorists who clearly have no problem slaughtering innocent people, including women, children, and even babies.

On Friday we learned that Hamas had released two American hostages, a mother and daughter who were captured during the original October 7 attack. The release was the result of negotiations between Qatar and Hamas, and it was largely seen as great news.

“Today, we have secured the release of two Americans taken hostage by Hamas during the horrific terrorist assault against Israel on October 7. Our fellow citizens have endured a terrible ordeal these past 14 days, and I am overjoyed that they will soon be reunited with their family, who has been wracked with fear,” Joe Biden said in a statement. “These individuals and their family will have the full support of the United States government as they recover and heal, and we should all respect their privacy in this moment.”

But what exactly is Hamas up to? This terrorist organization doesn’t exactly have a reputation for being humanitarian. They did murder 1,400 innocent people, after all, including children. What’s the play here?

According to Richard Goldberg of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), this is part of a bigger strategy by Hamas.

“Hamas, Qatar, and Iran can keep playing this game at great emotional distress for everyone and ultimately at America and Israel’s expense. The approach we are taking letting Hamas and Iran call the shots with Qatar playing the hero is not sustainable,” he said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“We yearn for all hostages to be freed & celebrate every life not lost. But understand the horrific game Hamas, Iran & Qatar are playing. Their inhumanity preys on our humanity. And their aim is to leverage our humanity to survive to another day when they slaughter thousands more,” he added. “Why do we think Hamas thanks Qatar in its statement? Qatar is facing massive pressure and threat of losing all status in the international community. It costs Hamas nothing to give up 2 hostages. It gains Qatar everything. We cannot continue with this charade.”

Joe Truzman, a research analyst at FDD, agrees. “This [is] a decision made by Hamas’ leadership because it favors them and delays a ground assault,” he says. “They aren’t doing it because they grew conscious. You don’t kidnap children, murder their parents and burn people, and then become a humanitarian.”

https://x.com/JoeTruzman/status/1715427078538191129?s=20

There are still more than 200 hostages left, including Americans, and we cannot let Hamas play these games. We must take a strong stance, and we cannot be fooled by this “humanitarian” gesture. According to Goldberg, “We should be issuing a deadline for all hostages to be released unconditionally. Failure to meet the deadline opens up economic and political measures targeting Qatar and Turkey and ‘other’ measures targeting Hamas agents on their soil.”

The question is, is the Biden administration falling for it, or do they know they’re being played?

The Gathering Storm of Rage

Article Image
 • http://www.ronpaulinstitute.org, by Andrew P. Napolitano

The Arab/Israeli bloodlust has been going on since the end of World War I, most pointedly since 1947 when Zionist militias used violence to force 750,000 Palestinians from their villages and ancient homeland.

That process resulted in the establishment and international recognition of the State of Israel and the confinement of the Palestinian people to the Gaza strip in the west and to the West Bank in the east. Rather than amalgamate these folks into a democratic society — where individual rights are equal and the government respects them — Israeli governments have established an apartheid.

Gaza became an open-air concentration camp, doomed to poverty and cultural repression. The West Bank, meanwhile, keeps shrinking, as the Israeli government keeps encouraging and funding illegal Israeli settlements on land that the Palestinians have believed, because Israeli governments told them, was theirs.
