Nearest and Dearest Fellowship | VCY

So shall we ever be with the Lord.1 Thessalonians 4:17

While we are here the Lord is with us, and when we are called away we are with Him. There is no dividing the saint from His Savior. They are one, and they always must be one: Jesus cannot be without His own people, for He would be a Head without a body. Whether caught up into the air, or resting in paradise, or sojourning here, we are with Jesus; and who shall separate us from Him?

What a joy is this! Our supreme honor, rest, comfort, delight, is to be with the Lord. We cannot conceive of anything which can surpass or even equal this divine society. By holy fellowship we must be with Him in His humiliation, rejection, and travail, and then we shall be with Him in His glory. Before long we shall be with Him in His rest and in His royalty, in His expectation and in His manifestation. We shall fare as He fares and triumph as He triumphs.

O my Lord, if I am to be forever with Thee, I have a destiny incomparable. I will not envy an archangel. To be forever with the Lord is my idea of heaven at its best. Not the harps of gold, nor the crowns unfading, nor the light unclouded is glory to me; but Jesus, Jesus Himself, and myself forever with Him in nearest and dearest fellowship.

To Love Others | Daily Thoughts about God.

“We love because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

Thought

We love others because God has first loved us. Our Heavenly Father taught us how to love in Jesus. Our Abba Father has given us security and confidence so we can love more fully. Our Holy and Almighty God loved us boldly and sacrificially so we could properly understand and define love. We are not the source of love: God is. We are not the great example of love: God is. We tend to be careful and share our love with only those with whom we want to share it: God’s love is expansive and open to all. We love because he first loved us.

Prayer

Forgive me, Righteous Father, for the times that I have been careful and guarded with my love of your children. Please help me to love others as you have loved me. I ask especially for today, that I might touch someone’s life with love that especially needs it whether they respond favorably to that love or not. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Will They See You in Me? | Daily Thoughts about God.

When people look at me
Will they see You?

When people talk to me
Will they hear You?

When they come to me
And need the strength
That You can give

Will I show them
You’re the One
The only One they need?

If I’m your hands and feet
Will others know?

If I reach out with love
Will they know it comes from You?

If I step out and show the love
That You have shown to me

Will they come to You
Wanting what they’ve seen in me
Wishing for the same?

If they see You in me
Will they come?
Will they want to know You, Lord
If they see You in me?

This Is The Final Confrontation Between Israel And Hamas
Hamas has always been committed to wiping out the nation of Israel, and now after the terror attacks of October 7th Israel is committed to wiping out Hamas.  So what we are witnessing is truly a “death match” that will produce only one survivor.  Hamas is desperately hoping that all of Israel’s enemies in the region will unite and try to destroy the nation of Israel once and for all.  Meanwhile, Israel is attempting to slowly but surely strangle the terror group out of existence.  In fact, it is being reported that the IDF has now “completed the encirclement of Gaza City”….

Islamofascist Hamas jihadists attacked Israel last month, killing 1,400, including 33 Americans. Anti-Semitism is rising around the world as Jew haters — including Democrat members of Congress — blame Israel for Hamas’s attack. Because of the noxious folks in their own midst, leftists from the media to the White House prefer to engage in moral equivalence, fretting about “Islamophobia” and now “Christian nationalism.”

We’ll just cut to the chase and call the latter Christophobia.

Whereas so-called Islamophobia typically manifests among people pointing out that Islamofascists are a real terror threat and we should be vigilant against attacks, Christophobia is the leftist affliction that equates adhering to Biblical Christianity while being a patriotic American to hate speech and violence.

The reason for the Left’s Christian nationalism terminology should be obvious: Their strong insinuation is that nationalists are like Nazis. Who wants to tell them that the anti-Semitic Nazis were National Socialists?

Christian nationalism is a deliberately nebulous term, though in the Left’s pejorative usage, there are always echoes of Charlottesville and “white supremacy.” But the truth is that neither word is inherently problematic.

In fact, as Michael Knowles once noted, “Liberals hate Christian nationalism, not because it is a departure from the American political tradition, but because it is the American political tradition, which the liberals do not like.” Most of our Founding Fathers were arguably Christian nationalists. All of them were Patriots.

Nevertheless, leftists have recently resurrected their slur to apply it to newly elected House Speaker Mike Johnson. Johnson is a Christian, you see, and part of the GOP’s Freedom Caucus, which puts America First. His Biblically based faith leads him to believe things that are anathema to the Left — marriage is a union between one man and one woman, life begins at conception, and there are two sexes. The latter two also happen to be basic science, which the Left claims exclusive rights to worship. Johnson has put his faith into action by supporting policies that comport with it.

Naturally, then, numerous Leftmedia outlets attacked Johnson as a “Christian nationalist.”

His work with Alliance Defending Freedom is problematic, says an MSNBC scribe, because ADF wants to “eviscerate the separation of church and state.” Johnson wants “to make America a Christian theocracy,” gasped journalist Sarah Posner. Author Katherine Stewart added a list of horribles: “He’s not just a speaker. He’s a dictator. He’s an enemy. He’s an antichrist.”

“Mike Johnson is not just a politician,” cautioned Mark Potok, a former senior fellow at the hate-baiting Southern Poverty Law Center. “He’s a preacher. He’s a crusader. He’s a zealot. He’s on a mission from God to save America from itself.”

Bill Maher compared Johnson to the mass-murdering assailant in Maine. The Daily Beast likened him to the Iranian mullahs and the Taliban.

One Leftmedia rag claimed that “MAGA and Christian nationalism” are a “bigger threat to America than Hamas could ever be.” Another even called Johnson “the new face of Christofascism,” which is, frankly, a nonsensical oxymoron.

This heated and alarmist rhetoric is a reminder that leftists will try to terrify their fellow Americans regarding anyone to the right of Karl Marx.

Democrats joined in, too. In a hearing dealing with the subject the day Johnson was elected speaker, Democrat Representative Maxwell Frost warned, “Christian nationalism is a form of religious extremism making its way into our policies and undermining our democracy.”

In that hearing, Baptist Joint Committee Executive Amanda Tyler says she testified “about global religious freedom” by … demanding that it be curtailed if she can label it “Christian nationalism,” which she called “the single greatest threat to religious liberty in the United States today.”

Last we checked, Christians weren’t the ones forcing people of other religions to bake cakes and display rainbow colors and censoring speech — like intimidating Johnson’s wife into taking her Christian counseling website offline.

The truth about Johnson and other conservative Christians, of course, is a lot more palatable than leftists want you to think. As Johnson put it, “If you truly believe in the Bible’s commands, and you seek to follow those, it’s impossible to be a hateful person because the greatest command in the Bible is that you love God with everything you had, and you love your neighbor as yourself.”

“I’m not trying to establish Christianity as the national religion or something,” Johnson said. “That’s not what this is about at all.” Indeed, it’s not. It’s about living out his faith — and the faith of millions of Americans — freely in the public square.

He called the attacks “absurd” and “disgusting.” He added: “Our religion is based on love and acceptance. So, to compare that worldview with the Taliban, who seek to destroy their enemies, or with some deranged shooter who murders people is absolutely outrageous.”

What’s under attack is not really Johnson, though, and he knows it. Leftists are really leveling a broadside against our nation because, as Johnson put it, “our Judeo-Christian foundation is the heritage of our country.”

Musk Exposes Social Media Speech Suppression Racketeers

“Twitter was simply an arm of the government … basically, a state publication.”

Mark Alexander

The greatest domestic threat to American Liberty is the unmitigated suppression of conservative speech by mass and social media platforms. However, not a single Republican inside the Beltway is focusing on this threat — most are oblivious to it.

We have frequently detailed the success of the leftist Big Tech oligarchs and their Leftmedia coconspirators, who have institutionalized the suppression of free speech.

The biggest and most blatant offender is, of course, Facebook, including collaboration with Joe Biden’s White House basement speech suppression squads. That, combined with the MSM’s fake fact-check suppression schemes, has resulted in massive systemic suppression of free speech — more specifically, conservative free speech.

Notably, the Facebook suppression of Patriot Post content, which we detailed here and here, is preventing more than 750,000 of our active followers from seeing our content, despite the fact that those users have specified they want to see it.

Enter X owner Elon Musk this week, who detailed the speech suppression operation at Twitter — significant because what he is describing is precisely what is happening with the behemoth Facebook platform.

According to Musk: “The degree to which Twitter was simply an arm of the government was not well understood by the public. And … everything was like Pravda basically, a state publication, is the way to think of old Twitter. A state publication. There was basically oppression of any views that, even I would say, be considered middle-of-the-road, certainly, anything on the Right, and I’m not talking about far-right, I’m just talking mildly right. Republicans were suppressed at 10 times the rate of Democrats. That’s because old Twitter was fundamentally controlled … completely controlled by the far-left.”

Fact is, Facebook, which is also “completely controlled by the far-left,” as Twitter was, is still running a massive conservative speech suppression program.

Can you imagine what the political landscape of our nation would look like if the mass and social media platforms were actually neutral and objective? When we launched The Patriot Post online back in 1996 — you know, right after Al Gore “invented” the Internet — I saw it as the greatest advancement in free speech since the Gutenberg press. And indeed, as a medium for alternatives to the mainstream media, it has proven to be that. However, the rise of the social media monopolies enabled the leftists to, once again, constrict what users could see, regardless of what they wanted to see.

Meanwhile, Republican legislators continue to think they can make headway without busting up these monopolies, or at least disabling their ability to suppress free speech by altering or revoking their Section 230 immunity.

Executive News Summary

Jobs numbers disappoint, SBF found guilty, Russia pulls out of nuke treaty, and more.

Douglas Andrews, Thomas Gallatin, & Jordan Candler

Cross-Examination

  • October jobs numbers disappoint: The Labor Department reported that just 150,000 jobs were added in October, an uninspiring number in its own right and coming up short of the Dow Jones forecasted 170,000. The United Auto Workers strike is being at least partly blamed for the shortfall, as the manufacturing sector saw overall jobs constrict. Meanwhile, the headline unemployment rate rose to 3.9%, coming in above the anticipated 3.8%. Hourly wages increased 0.2%, also coming in below a forecasted 0.3%, and inflation continued rising, up 0.1% to 4.1% over last year. All are indications that the warnings of economic downturn appear to be accurate. Given the negative report, the Federal Reserve will refrain from enacting another interest rake hike this year.
  • Sales record expected: The National Retail Federation predicts record retail sales ahead of Christmas. However, as Mark Alexander notes, “Because of record Bidenflation, resulting in record-high prices, there won’t be any ‘record purchases.’” In other words, thanks to inflation, everything costs more, and Washington is spinning the high cost of goods as positive spending data, as if Americans are doing so well financially they are free to spend more money. In reality, Americans are not consuming a higher quantity of goods, but rather are simply being forced to pay more for the goods they normally buy. Paying more for the same is being spun as “record sales despite inflation.”
  • Google praises terrorists: It’s well known that Big Tech leans hard left, putting its elbow on the scales in every area from Internet search to speech censorship. But once in a while the mask slips, giving us an even clearer image of the bias and the rot. One such example involves Google search, which “is burying news articles explaining Hamas’ terrorism under curated pull-quotes that seek to make a false equivalence between Israel and the terrorists,” The Daily Wire reports. “If a user searches ‘Hamas rape women,’ before showing the bountiful search results describing sick sexual assaults and war crimes, Google injects a large text section saying ‘What did Hamas do to women in Israel?’” It sounds like a natural tee-up for “rape,” but it isn’t. At least not according to the twisted algorithm of the world’s leading search engine. Instead, Google tells us that the most noteworthy thing these terrorists do with women isn’t to display them unconscious and semi-naked in the back of pickup trucks before beheading them, but rather to release them from captivity. “Hamas on Monday released two elderly Israeli women held hostage in Gaza,” Google tells us in a large text block before delivering our search results. What a strange way to respond to a search about Hamas, women, and rape.
  • Law firms warn campus leftists: Whether you believe the purpose of attending college is to obtain work-related abilities or to grow personally and intellectually, your investment these days isn’t what it used to be. Step on a campus now and you’re likely to be surrounded by leftist idiocy and intolerance. This is especially true when it comes to Jew hatred, which is experiencing a contagion-like resurgence on campuses all across the country. Some major donors are pushing back, as are some of the nation’s leading law firms. Indeed, two dozen top firms have penned an admonition to law schools, warning them to clean up their ugly mess or risk a downturn in recruitment activities. “As educators at institutions of higher learning,” the statement read, “it is imperative that you provide your students with the tools and guidance to engage in the free exchange of ideas, even on emotionally charged issues, in a manner that affirms the values we all hold dear and rejects unreservedly that which is antithetical to those values. There is no room for anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, racism or any other form of violence, hatred or bigotry on your campuses, in our workplaces or our communities.”
  • House passes Israel aid and rejects Tlaib censure: Now that the Republican-controlled House of Representatives has a speaker, it’s gotten back to the business not only of legislating but also policing its own. Yesterday, the people’s house passed a bill providing $14.3 billion in aid to Israel and in the process setting up a fight with the Democrat-controlled Senate. Why the fight? Simple: House Republicans refused to cave to Joe Biden’s demand for a “kitchen sink” bill, a massive $106 billion package that would included $61.4 billion for Ukraine, $13.6 billion for border security, $9 billion for “humanitarian” aid to Gaza Hamas, and $2 billion or so for Taiwan in addition to the funding for Israel. Speaker Mike Johnson made clear that those allocations ought to be addressed separately. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced that his chamber “will not be considering this deeply flawed proposal from the House GOP.” Denying aid to Israel is an interesting strategy for the Democrats. It’ll be interesting to see who blinks first. Elsewhere in the House, a measure to censure pro-Hamas Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib failed, as 20 Republicans joined Democrats in voting against it. Among those Republicans was Thomas Massie, a rock-ribbed conservative who rightly argued that those who value free speech must be willing to defend not only the speech they love but also the speech they hate.
  • What election fraud? Democrats are fond of dismissing Republican claims of electoral fraud out of hand. “Nothing to see here,” they say. “Move along.” Yet as The Daily Signal reports, in the Democrat stronghold of Connecticut, just days before a scheduled general election in Bridgeport, “a judge threw out the results of a [Democrat] primary election for mayor, citing ‘shocking’ evidence of voter fraud caught on video.” What kind of fraud, you ask? As the Signal continues, “A surveillance camera showed individuals stuffing multiple absentee ballots into a ballot dropbox at night.” We too are shocked — SHOCKED — that Democrats would engage in voter fraud. And we wonder: Did the perpetrators ever see Dinesh D’Souza’s “2000 Mules”? In fairness to lawyers for the city and its incumbent mayor, Joe Ganim, who benefitted from the ballot-stuffing, they say that the video of people stuffing ballots into the dropbox “didn’t prove illegal voting took place.” Uh-huh.
  • Petitioning the NCAA about women’s sports: As the issue of “transgender” men competing against girls and women in sports becomes increasingly untenable, Republican governors are taking action at the state level. In a letter to the NCAA signed by nine Republican governors, they petition the collegiate sports governing body to revise its “misguided policies” and ban males from competing in women’s sports. As the letter reads: “Policies that allow men and women to compete against one another validate an average male athlete stealing the recognition from a truly remarkable female athlete. … Science proves that it is fundamentally unfair for a biological male to compete against a biological female — that does not change when someone declares themselves as being of a different gender.” This is common sense, and it’s sad that it needs to be stated so forcefully. The letter was signed by a group of red-state governors: Kristi Noem of South Dakota, Sarah Sanders of Arkansas, Tate Reeves of Mississippi, Mike Parson of Missouri, Greg Gianforte of Montana, Joe Lombardo of Nevada, Kevin Stitt of Oklahoma, Greg Abbott of Texas, and Mark Gordon of Wyoming. It’s interesting, and encouraging, that Noem now sees the wisdom of this ban, having earlier been reluctant to support it.
  • SBF found guilty: On Thursday at a Manhattan federal court, Sam Bankman-Fried was found guilty on all counts of fraud and money laundering related to his now-collapsed crypto currency exchange company FTX. The prosecution argued that Bankman-Fried “misappropriated and embezzled FTX customer deposits, and used billions of dollars in stolen funds for a variety of purposes, including … to help fund over a hundred million dollars in campaign contributions to Democrats and Republicans to seek to influence cryptocurrency regulation.” That masks the truth just a bit: SBF was a mega-donor to Democrats, giving them roughly $39 million during the 2022 election cycle. In total, Bankman-Fried defrauded his clients of some $10 billion. His sentencing is scheduled for March, and he faces up to 115 years in prison, pending appeal.
  • Racist bird names: The American Ornithological Society evidently believes in word crimes — or, more specifically, name crimes. Naming birds after people is now being deemed by the society as “offensive or exclusionary,” and some species will therefore be renamed. “Offensive” bird names include Anna’s Hummingbird, Lewis’s Woodpecker, and Bullock’s Oriole. As the society’s president Colleen Handel argued, “Names have power and power can be for the good or it can be for the bad.” So, how are names like “Anna,” “Lewis,” or “Bullock” bad? Race. You see, those names sound too much like white names. As Handel ridiculously explained, “We’ve come to understand that there are certain names that have offensive or derogatory connotations that cause pain to people, and that it is important to change those, to remove those as barriers to their participation in the world of birds.” Just because the vast majority of bird watchers in American history have been white, and just because the majority of the population was and is white and therefore named the birds they saw using culturally familiar names, does not mean they were seeking to “exclude” and “denigrate” other cultures. Only a bird brain embracing the inherently racist critical race theory could come up with and assign such ridiculous and negative motivations to others.
  • Russia pulls out of nuke treaty: On Thursday, Russian strongman Vladimir Putin pulled out of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT), a bilateral treaty between the U.S. and Russia adopted in 1996. The treaty banned either country from engaging in nuclear weapons test explosions. Putin’s move came as no surprise given that he has been threatening to do so over his objection to U.S. and NATO support for Ukraine. Secretary of State Antony Blinken responded by weakly warning, “Russia’s action will only serve to set back confidence in the international arms control regime.” Putin did not indicate whether Russia would actually resume nuclear testing. The last time Russia tested a nuke was back in 1990 prior to the Soviet Union’s collapse. The U.S. last tested a nuclear weapon in 1992. United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research senior researcher Andrey Baklitskiy worried that Putin’s pullout was the latest move down a “slippery slope” toward restarting nuclear testing. “We don’t know what steps will follow and when, but we know where this road ends,” he said. “And we don’t want to go there.”

A Dirty Deep State Misdirection

When two Republican senators began probing Hunter Biden’s corrupt foreign business dealings, intelligence services falsely called it “Russian disinformation.”

Douglas Andrews

This week, we learned from the Republican-controlled House Oversight Committee that Joe Biden took $40,000 in laundered money from an energy company linked to the Communist Chinese back in September 2017. The transfer came from his brother James, and, as the New York Post reports, it marks “the first proven instance of the commander-in-chief getting a piece of his family’s foreign income.”

It was big news, but it wasn’t the biggest news of the week.

Corrupt presidents come and go. They can be booted out every four years. But institutional corruption within the deep state is far tougher to root out since its perpetrators aren’t accountable to the American people, to the voters. And this brings us to the case of a so-called “defensive briefing” that two Republican senators, Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson, received from the FBI on August 6, 2020.

Grassley and Johnson had begun investigating Hunter Biden’s corrupt business dealings with Ukraine and other countries a year earlier, and they must’ve been over the target. Because the FBI dispatched then-Deputy Assistant Director for Counterintelligence Nikki Floris and then-Section Chief of the Foreign Influence Task Force Bradley Benavides to warn Grassley and Johnson that the dirt they were uncovering on Hunter Biden was “Russian disinformation.”

But it wasn’t Russian disinformation. In fact, the FBI’s defensive briefing itself was disinformation, meant purely to seed a false narrative among Congress and the mainstream media that Republican investigative efforts into the first son’s business dealings were tainted by Russian subterfuge.

More specifically, as the Washington Examiner reports, both Grassley and Johnson say the phony briefing “was designed to undermine their September 2020 report detailing financial connections between Hunter Biden and China and Ukraine.”

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, who also chairs the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, wants to get to the bottom of it. On Wednesday, he opened an investigation into the FBI’s alleged obstruction of the Grassley-Johnson investigation.

In a letter Jordan sent to Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, he wrote: “Although the FBI claims that the briefing focused on Russia, the information that Floris and Benavides conveyed to the Senators ‘consisted primarily of information that [the Senators] already knew and information unconnected to [their] Biden investigation.’ The briefing, the existence of which was later leaked, hampered the Senators’ investigation into Hunter Biden’s financial connections to foreign governments and foreign nationals.”

Why would Jordan send a letter to Haines and the ODNI rather than the FBI? Because in an earlier transcribed interview he’d conducted with the FBI’s Floris, she said that while the briefing had been given delivered by the FBI, the intelligence information it contained “did not come from the FBI, but rather from ODNI.”

“Specifically,” Jordan wrote, “she testified that ‘ODNI owns this whole process … ODNI took the lead … in drafting the script’ used to brief Senators Grassley and Johnson. She further testified: ‘I would certainly defer you to ODNI as far as the specifics that were in the script. It wasn’t FBI collected information.’”

So the intelligence services are squirming, and they’re pointing fingers at each other. That seems to us like a sign of desperation.

Senators Grassley and Johnson smelled a rat long ago, and they wrote back to Floris and Benavides in August of last year, arguing that their “Russian disinformation” briefing consisted primarily of information that the two of them already knew and was unconnected to their investigation of Hunter Biden. That letter read, in part: “The unnecessary FBI briefing provided the Democrats and liberal media the vehicle to spread their false narrative that our work advanced Russian disinformation. Although you stated that the FBI didn’t intend to ‘interfere’ in our investigation, the practical effect of such an unnecessary briefing and the subsequent leaks relating to it created interference, which frustrated and obstructed congressional oversight efforts.”

Jordan wants documentation into all this. He’s “requesting Haines and ODNI turn over ‘The script, including all drafts of the script, that ODNI prepared for the FBI to brief Grassley and Johnson on August 6, 2020,’” Fox News reports. “He is also requesting all documents and communications referring to the briefing; a list of intelligence community agencies that ‘nominated the intelligence that served as the basis’ for the briefing; and a list of individuals involved in the decision to provide the briefing.”

Whether Jordan’s investigation can get to the bottom of the phony “defensive briefing” and who ultimately ordered it is anyone’s guess. But it’s good to see House and Senate Republicans working together to flush out and call attention to the Democrat-controlled deep state.

Latest PodcastPopCon #20: Is the Woke Tide Ebbing?Join us as we explore a few encouraging trends in the first episode of our PopCon culture war series.

Pornography Is Intrinsically Tied to Grooming and Trafficking

Procurers and sex traffickers in the industry have more access to vulnerable men, women, and children than ever before.

Emmy Griffin

Porn is not freedom, and it’s not sexual liberation. It is an exploitative business that preys on the weak and vulnerable. The industry is rife with sex trafficking. It targets not only adults but increasingly children as well. This exploitation problem has been expedited with the advent of the Internet and the lack of tools parents have to protect their children from exposure to pornographic content or sex traffickers online.

In Washington, DC, there was a congressional briefing on October 26 whose stated goals were to start the conversation on how to implement policy to prevent sexual exploitation. Several survivors shared their stories, including Tanya Gould, who was groomed for months by her trafficker and sold for 18 months post-high school in Virginia.

Gould made many powerful statements, but one in particular stood out. She said: “Imagine being a child in America, growing up, and singing the songs of freedom in school, but have no one fighting for them. But instead are silent because minors don’t contribute financially, and because of that, they have no real value and no real voice.”

As an adult, Gould has gone on to head the Anti-Human Trafficking Office for Virginia’s attorney general so that no other child goes through what she endured.

Another survivor, Aaron Crowley, shared that he was exposed to porn at the age of nine. The violence of the images led him to believe that all such interactions were conducted that way. So convinced was he that sex and violence were synonymous that when he was gang-raped by adult men, he didn’t even consider it rape, just sex. Those evil men videoed the assault and posted it online. And from that moment on, Crowley decided that if porn videos were going to be out on the Internet featuring him, he should be paid for it. Crowley was groomed from the age of nine to believe porn was an accurate depiction of healthy sexual intimacy, and that misconception led him to a really risky and exploitative rabbit hole.

Crowley testified: “So, whenever I was given the opportunity to do mainstream porn, I was already groomed to say ‘Yes.’ And in order to get booked on a shoot, the talent scout required me to have sex with him any time he wanted. In any other business, that would be considered sexual assault. But when the business is sex, how do you draw the line between what is ‘just business’ and what is exploitation?”

Crowley’s experience of sexual coercion is similar to other survivors’ stories. When consent is the only bar that pornographers need to obtain, manipulation and coercion are often employed.

There is no such thing as ethical porn; someone is always being used. As much as some try to paint pornography as fulfilling work, it’s not. It’s little better than slavery at the end of the day, and trafficking is rampant. Christian podcaster Allie Beth Stuckey did an interview with Benji Nolot on this particular topic. Nolot is the founder and CEO of the ministry Exodus Cry, which helps fight against the sexual trafficking of men, women, and children around the world and also provides survivors with tools and support after they are freed from the industry.

In the podcast, Nolot explains that there are several ways porn is connected to trafficking. Coercion, dehumanization of the victims, and consent are the only elements that need to be reached. With these elements at play, no wonder the industry is a byproduct of all that is horrid.

Going back to the congressional briefing, the survivors’ testimonies were part of a larger goal: getting Congress to pass legislation to not only hold websites like Google, Instagram, and others accountable for protecting minors from porn and its predatory minions but to provide parents with recourse to protect their children online. The two bills that would potentially help are the Eliminating Abusive and Rampant Neglect of Interactive Technologies Act and the Kids Online Safety Act. Groups that testified before Congress are hopeful that lawmakers are motivated to act on their behalf to finally help protect the vulnerable in our society.

Porn is insidious, and it is an industry that should be irradiated entirely. Its fruits are misery, exploitation, slavery, and psychological damage to both the viewer and the “performer.” Congress needs to go even further, but if this is the start toward ending this evil, then we’ll take it.

AI: An Unstoppable Tool of Child Exploitation

Bad people always seem to use innocuous technology to achieve bad ends.

Samantha Koch

Several female high school students in Westfield, New Jersey, faced a terrifying situation recently. It was discovered that deepfake nude photos had been created using the girls’ faces and were being circulated amongst their male peers.

The girls noticed a widespread change in the behavior of most of the male students all at once. However, it wasn’t until they started questioning their male friends about the unsettling shift in demeanor before one of the boys finally admitted what was going on.

The images had been traveling from cell phone to cell phone for days at that point.

Naturally, those whose faces were attached to the graphic images felt violated by the incident. Parents of these students expressed anger and deep concerns about the safety and well-being of their children now and in the future.

It is not out of the realm of possibility that these photos made their way outside of the school, and they will likely be accessible in some way forever.

However, high school pranks are only a blip on the radar, where a much broader and more existential threat to children’s health, safety, and privacy exists overall.

The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) has been focusing heavily on the risks of AI, particularly when it comes to children and teens. Based on what its researchers are seeing now, AI-generated images are essentially an uncontrollable crisis waiting to happen.

The chief executive of the IWF, Susie Hargreaves, offered an alarming message: “Our worst nightmares have come true. Earlier this year, we warned AI imagery could soon become indistinguishable from real pictures of children suffering sexual abuse, and that we could start to see this imagery proliferating in much greater numbers. We have now passed that point.”

Even more frightening is the fact that no one is safe from being targeted and victimized in this way. Researchers have found deepfake images of this type where the likeness of individuals from all walks of life — including celebrities, children, and even infants whose photos had been uploaded to social media accounts, as well as abuse victims who have already been exploited in the online sex industry — have been used to produce this kind of content.

As AI has become a more common part of the public conversation, the question of how to manage it only becomes more uncertain.

The Biden administration has previously announced the intention to start imposing regulations on AI to battle the spread of misinformation and disinformation. Joe Biden signed an executive order to expand his own power over it. His most recent public comments were to bizarrely warn against the development of algorithms within this technology that discriminate based on race.

Those of us operating without the impairment of dementia might make the argument that the uncontrolled abuse of AI to create fake sexually graphic content that appears to include innocent, unsuspecting children and teens is a greater concern at the moment.

The movie “Sound of Freedom” spurred an important conversation about the rapidly growing problem of the child-trafficking industry and exposed the drastic surge in demand for online content, including with minors. But it perhaps left some people with the idea that such abuse only happens to captured victims, whose physical presence is necessary for exploitation to be possible.

However, this can now be considered a debunked idea given the ease with which this material can be generated — as evidenced by the rudimentary skills of a group of mischievous high school boys — without the knowledge of the victims.

In response, we should be able to expect severe, criminal consequences for those who use AI technology for this purpose. There is also room to discuss putting protections in place at the core of its development.

An important point made by a New York Post journalist: “What haunts me, though, is the day AI stops being a tool and starts becoming and agent: roughly, something capable of acting in the world toward its own ends.”

This strategy will be a comprehensive and detailed plan to protect Muslims and those perceived to be Muslim from hate, bigotry, and violence, and to address the concern that some government policies may discriminate against Muslims. For example, the so-called Muslim ban, which President Biden revoked on our first day in office.” —Vice President Kamala Harris (“Not only is that spitting in the face of Jews, but she brings up (not by name) Trump and his ‘so-called Muslim ban.’ Who called it that? “For too long, Muslims in America, and those perceived to be Muslim, such as Arabs and Sikhs, have endured a disproportionate number of hate-fueled attacks and other discriminatory incidents.” —White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre

“I’m the guy that convinced Bibi to call for that ceasefire to let the prisoners out.” —Joe Biden

Straight From the Horse’s Mouth

“Israel is a country that has no place on our land. We must remove that country. … We must teach Israel a lesson, and we will do this again and again. The Al-Aqsa Flood is just the first time, and there will be a second, a third, a fourth, because we have the determination, the resolve, and the capabilities to fight. … The existence of Israel is what causes all that pain, blood, and tears. It is Israel, not us. We are the victims of the occupation. Period. Therefore, nobody should blame us for the things we do.” —Hamas official Ghazi Hamad

The Bottom Line

“Walking in the streets screaming ‘Ceasefire now!’ is no great imposition, especially when you’re not the one getting fired on, like those young people in the desert. It’s like lecturing someone who’s been doused in kerosene about the dangers of secondhand smoke. … Protesting here solves nothing. Quite the opposite. For the protest here enables other people over there to do even more harm than they’ve already done. It’s why your simplistic worldview of standing with the oppressed is completely invalid. You don’t really stand with the oppressed; you’re marching for extra credit. And you aren’t sacrificing a thing; instead, you’re adding to the mayhem through approval.” —Greg Gutfeld

“‘Humanitarian pause’ is placing feel-good, millennial yoga language on a terrible decision. There’s nothing humanitarian about allowing Hamas to prevail. A pause is a ceasefire — a reward for terrorists that ought to be wiped out.” —Erielle Davidson

Belly Laughs of the Day

“The Gaza Health Ministry has had a pretty good track record with its death estimates over the years.” —The Washington Post’s Glenn Kessler

“When Democrats were in control, we put people over politics.” —Congressman Ted Lieu (D-CA) (“Actually, they raised taxes, hired 87,000 new IRS agents, pushed ‘green’ mandates, worsened inflation, added to the deficit, blocked American energy, and ignored the border crisis.” —RNC)

And Last…

“The greatest threat to our national security is not Sen. Tommy Tuberville; it is demonstrably the inept commander-in-chief, Joe Biden.” —Mark Alexander

Putin explains reasons for Ukraine military operation

Russia had no option but to launch its military operation against Ukraine in February 2022, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the country’s Civic Chamber on Friday. The Russian leader reaffirmed his belief that the decision was the right one, despite the difficulties resulting from it.

“We had no other choice,” Putin replied when asked if he would make the same decision again, knowing what the consequences would be. He added that “removing the assault rifle covers” must never be done lightly, but said he had reached the conclusion that military action against Ukraine was unavoidable.

“Why? Because we had already been attacked,” the Russian leader stated, without elaborating.

Putin has repeatedly explained the reasons for Moscow’s military campaign, citing Ukraine’s NATO aspirations and the looming prospect of the US-led military bloc expanding even closer to Russia’s borders as major sources of concern.

We couldn’t ignore what was happening in Ukraine – Putin

He has also stressed the need to protect the people of Donbass and end the nearly eight-year conflict that had raged between local rebels and Kiev’s forces. This was coupled with the increasingly nationalist stance of the Kiev government and its treatment of the Russian-speaking population, with Putin previously explaining the need to “denazify” Ukraine.

At the annual Victory Day Parade in May 2022, Putin described Moscow’s operation in Ukraine as a “preemptive” one, again maintaining that it was “the only right decision.” “Russia gave a preemptive rebuff to aggression,” the president insisted at the time, arguing the move had been “forced” but was the only correct decision that a “sovereign” and “independent” country could have taken.

Kiev has repeatedly claimed that Russian actions were “completely unprovoked.” The US and its allies in Europe and elsewhere have also pinned the blame for the conflict squarely on Moscow, while providing Ukraine with massive military and financial assistance.

‘Extensive Communications’: Trump Drops Bombshell Evidence About Biden WH, Jack Smith in Classified Docs Case | The Western Journal.

Former President Donald Trump’s lawyers told the federal judge overseeing his classified documents case that there were “extensive communications” among special counsel Jack Smith’s office, the White House, the Department of Justice and the National Archives and Records Administration before their client’s indictment.

Journalist Julie Kelly, who covered the Wednesday hearing presided over by U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon in Miami, wrote on social media afterward that it included “bombshell revelations,” one of which was “‘years’ worth of security footage” from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property in Florida.

Further, she wrote, there was evidence of “‘extensive communications’ btw White House, NARA, intel agencies and DOJ/Jack Smith prior to indictment to determine which files to include.”

I’ll post a story soon but some bombshell revelations:

• Trove of evidence includes “years” worth of security footage from MAL

•Evidence of “extensive communications” btw White House, NARA, intel agencies and DOJ/Jack Smith prior to indictment to determine which files to…

— Julie Kelly 🇺🇸 (@julie_kelly2) November 1, 2023

Kelly reiterated on X on Wednesday, “To emphasize: Trump’s lawyers told Judge Cannon this afternoon they have evidence that the Biden White House collaborated with NARA, DOJ, and intel agencies to determine which documents to include in Jack Smith’s indictment.”

Just the News reported in August 2022 — the month the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago — that the Biden White House worked directly with the Justice Department and the National Archives to instigate the criminal probe into Trump.

Contemporaneous government documents obtained by the news outlet showed “White House Deputy Counsel Jonathan Su was engaged in conversations with the FBI, DOJ and National Archives as early as April.”

“By May, Su conveyed to the Archives that President Joe Biden would not object to waiving his predecessor’s claims to executive privilege, a decision that opened the door for DOJ to get a grand jury to issue a subpoena compelling Trump to turn over any remaining materials he possessed from his presidency,” Just the News said.

On May 10, 2022, acting National Archivist Debra Steidel Wall sent Trump’s lawyers a letter noting the White House’s involvement.

“On April 11, 2022, the White House Counsel’s Office — affirming a request from the Department of Justice supported by an FBI letterhead memorandum — formally transmitted a request that NARA provide the FBI access to the 15 boxes for its review within seven days, with the possibility that the FBI might request copies of specific documents following its review of the boxes,” Wall wrote Trump attorney Evan Corcoran.

She explained that the White House counsel further informed her that Biden empowered her to determine whether to uphold Trump’s claim of executive privilege.

“I have therefore decided not to honor the former President’s ‘protective’ claim of privilege,” Wall wrote.

Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz could not believe the Biden White House felt it could waive Trump’s executive privilege.

“I was very surprised,” Dershowitz told Just the News after reading Wall’s letter. “The current president should not be able to waive the executive privilege of a predecessor, without the consent of the former president. Otherwise, [privilege] means nothing. What president will ever discuss anything in private if he knows the man who beat him can and will disclose it?”

On Wednesday, Kelly also noted the May 20, 2024, start date for Trump’s classified documents trial may get pushed back.

“Just left classified docs case hearing in Judge Cannon courtroom,” she wrote. “She will consider a modified trial schedule given numerous issues including voluminous discovery, discovery delays, late delivery of secure location to review evidence and Trump’s conflicting trial schedules.”

Cannon told the attorneys, “I’m just having a hard time seeing how realistically this work can be accomplished in this compressed period of time, given the realities that we’re facing,” according to Politico.

Trump’s legal team wants the trial delayed until after next year’s November election.

“Proceeding to trial during the pendency of a Presidential election cycle wherein opposing candidates are effectively (if not literally) directly adverse to one another in this action will create extraordinary challenges in the jury selection process and limit the Defendants’ ability to secure a fair and impartial adjudication,” the lawyers wrote in a July court filing.

On Wednesday, Trump’s lawyers told Cannon that preparing for the special counsel’s election interference case, scheduled to begin in Washington in March, would get in the way of prepping for the documents case in May.

The election interference trial could go on for months, the lawyers argued, bumping right into the documents case in May if the current start date stands.

Altogether, Trump is facing 91 felony indictments brought by Smith as well as Democratic prosecutors in New York City and Fulton County, Georgia.

WAYNE ROOT: My Latest TV Interview with President Donald J. Trump. Trump Says, “Israelis Died Because of Biden.” (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit

By Wayne Allyn Root

I just had one heck of a weekend. It started with my 13th one-on-one interview with President Donald J. Trump.

First, let me say what an honor of a lifetime it is to have interviewed the 45th President of the United States (and the best President of my lifetime) thirteen times. I am a S.O.B. (son of a butcher) from the mean streets of the Bronx, NY borderline. “Only in America.”

Now to my interview. I interviewed Trump on Friday. But we had a private in-person meeting on Saturday before his Trump rally in Las Vegas.

First let me say, President Trump looked great. He was high energy, relaxed, in good spirits. Considering what he’s going through (the indictments, the persecution) he is a man of steel. Trump is super-human.

Let’s start with my old Columbia college classmate Obama. I told President Trump my belief is that Barack Obama is the real president of the United States, calling all the shots for brain-dead Joe Biden.

Trump responded, “You could be right. I don’t think it’s Biden either.”

I shared with President Trump the story of how I once branded him as “the King of the Jews” on my primetime Newsmax TV show in 2019 because of the wonderful way he treated Israel…and the way the people of Israel love and respect him.

So, knowing how Trump feels about Israel, I asked him about the Hamas terror attack that killed 1,400 Jews.

Trump responded that the Hamas attack never would have happened if he was still the President because Iran and radical Jihadists feared Trump, but no one fears bumbling, incompetent Biden.

Trump believes Iran is responsible for the attack. “It’s all headed up by Iran, but Biden doesn’t want to say that. Biden has so much money coming to himself from so many directions.”

Trump explained that Iran was broke under his administration. Not only did Trump impose crippling sanctions, but he stopped Iran from selling oil around the world. Trump pointed out, “Iran had no money to prosecute a war.” Trump said that because of the money Biden handed to Iran, and the oil Biden allowed them to sell, Iran is now bursting at the seams with money to fund terrorism around the world- like the Hamas terror attack.

Trump also says he had Iran exactly where he wanted them- broke and desperate. Trump believes within days of his being re-elected in 2020, Iran would have gladly agreed to give up their nuclear program for the right to sell oil again. Simply because of how badly they needed the money. Instead, Biden (or his boss Obama) gave them everything they wanted, without demanding anything in return. So, Iran kept their nuclear program going. “Now look where the world is.”

Trump pointed out that Hillary Clinton claimed his personality would get America into wars. Trump says, “It was the opposite- my personality kept us out of wars. Look where we are now…you might see World War 3.”

Trump pressed hard on the possibility of WW3 and nuclear annihilation. “With Biden the whole world is dealing with a man who is grossly incompetent. Biden is in charge of whether we go to nuclear war. There is a real possibility we end up in a nuclear war. It’s not even believable where we are now because of Biden…Biden is grossly incompetent dealing with China, Russia, Iran, North Korea and getting wiped out. He’s going to lead us into World War 3 and with the nuclear weapons we all have, we will end up with obliteration.”

I told Trump that I believe Obama hates Israel…and since Obama is actually running this presidency from behind the scenes…I don’t believe Biden is truly behind Israel. Trump blamed Biden for the Hamas terror attack in Israel. “He started it. He got it going. He gave Iran the money…Now I guess politically Biden has to say positive things about Israel….all these people died because of Biden…because of his weakness.”

Trump described Biden as the worst of the worst. “Take the ten worst presidents in USA history and add them up. Biden is worse than all of them combined.”

I stressed again that I believe Obama is in charge. Obama is calling the shots. This is the intentional destruction of the USA.

Trump’s response: “When I heard (Biden and Obama) believed in open borders, I thought they were kidding, playing games. Who would want open borders? Who would want criminals being let out of prisons all over the world, out of insane asylums, terrorists, no one is checking any of them. Terrorists are coming in- these are the same people who attacked Israel. And there are also military age males from China. Nothing good will come from this. Biden allowed this to happen. It’s despicable.”

I asked Trump how he’d deal with it? Trump responded, “We’re going to have the largest and strongest deportation effort ever. We have to get them out. It’s going to end quickly.”

Lastly, I ended our interview asking Trump what it feels like as a “Jewish grandfather” (his daughter Ivanka’s children are Jewish) seeing all the open Jew-hatred in America? Trump said,
I’ve been calling my Jewish friends. I ask them, “Are you watching what’s happening? It’s shocking. People are afraid to defend Israel. AOC and her squad in Congress, Rashida Talib… she wants Israel eradicated. Watch the anti-Israel rallies. This was unthinkable during my administration.”

How did Trump end our interview? With a final urgent message, “It’s the most important election in history. If we don’t win, the country is finished.”

Amen. It’s Trump in 2024 or it’s the end of America. Trump is our last chance to save America.

Max Lucado, Carol Swain, Evan Wickham Share Platform With Queer and Transgender “Christians” at “Christian” Conference | DISNTR

Max Lucado, a figure who once at least held a veneer of Christian orthodoxy about him, has now capitulated to a dangerous trend of watering down the stark realities of sin. In fact, Lucado has taken it upon himself to recast sin as nothing more than what he calls a “shortcut,” a mere hiccup on the road to alignment with God’s will. Lucado has launched a full-blown assault on Christianity and biblical truth.

Whether it be endorsing pro-gay feminist Jen Hatmaker, apologizing to the LGBTQ community for past teachings on homosexuality, referring to the Holy Spirit in feminine terms, begging forgiveness for ancestral sins of slavery and segregation, and adopting the practice of speaking in tongues as part of his daily prayer routine—Lucado’s actions collectively signal a complete abandonment of objective biblical truth in favor of a more progressive, ecumenical approach that attempts to reconcile biblical Christianity with modern pagan cultural movements.

So it should come as no surprise that Lucado would be sharing the stage with a “transgender Christian” to promote “Christian” living in the coming years. In 2024, Preston Sprinkle, one of the founding board members of the “gay Christian” organization, Revoice, and CEO of Theology in the Raw, is holding a conference that features several apostates, including former Reformed pastor, Josh Harris, who renounced his faith a few years ago and was later seen marching in gay pride marches, Greg Coles, author of Single, Gay, Christian: A Personal Journey of Faith and Sexual Identity, and Kat LaPrarie, a man who wears women’s clothes and uses women’s pronouns and who says he is “passionate about people, the church and articulating the Gospel using her[sic] story that God has woven together.”

The Watchman’s Bagpipes: Israel vs “Palestine”

Yes, this is sort of an unusual post for this blog but the history of Christianity is part of the history of Israel in the New Testament. Therefore, we should have an answer for those who decry Israel today as “colonizers” who need to be eradicated. I believe God still has a special place in history for Israel. I do NOT believe in the “replacement” theory or that God no longer cares about Israel. For this reason I want to share accurate information about Israel and the claims of the so-called “Palestinians. (I have read several books with essentially the same information, so this is not new to me.)

First is this excellent articleIslam & “Palestine” vs Israel/Jews, from Lighthouse Trails Research.

Some more excellent historical information can be found here at American Thinker.

Lastly, this outstanding Youtube video from a couple years ago is well worth the 20+ minutes of educating yourself.

A 2022 commenter (@ellenlevenson7831)to the youtube added a wee bit more history:

In 1858 the Ottoman Empire, which owned all the land in what was then known as Palestine (encompassing both Israel and Jordan), amended its land laws to prohibit the ownership and inheritance of land in Palestine by Arabs. Jews bought the land from Turkish elite, who promptly registered the land in their own names when Arabs failed to claim rights in 1858 (as the Empire knew they would).

At the time the Ottoman Empire lost the land in 1918 and the British were appointed to manage Mandatory Palestine, no Arab owned land there. When the Mandate terminated and the land was divided, Israel was formed as a Jewish state and Jordan was formed from the Hashemite Kingdom of Trans-Jordan. No Arab owned land in Israel at that time, and no Arab accepted the land offered under the Mandate except for the Hashemites. Arabs had no land rights in Palestine after 1858 and accepted no land rights thereafter. Hence, Arab “Palestinians” did not own land in Palestine and did not own land in Israel that they can claim today.

Although Arabs blame Jews for stealing their land, it was actually non-Arab Turks who undermined Arabs, not Jews. I learned this information from an Arab historian, who said the amendment of Turkish land laws inflamed existing Arab animosity toward Jews. Rather than admit that Turks excluded Arabs from land ownership in Palestine, about which they could nothing, they blame Jews in order to convince the world that they have rights to the land because they have no other way to obtain and dominate it (dominate being the salient word).

Every American (and citizens of other countries) should KNOW this information so as not to be deceived by the politicians and LEFTISTS.

COVID Authoritarians Want Forgiveness – Here’s Why They Don’t Deserve It | Peace and Prosperity

Do authoritarians deserve a chance to be treated with grace and forgiveness? The question is circulating regularly these days in the wake of the complete failure of covid pandemic response and the victory of the anti-mandate movement. The answer relies on a series of counter-questions based on logic and predictable outcomes. It’s the kind of discussion that covid cultists don’t want to have; they just want everyone to forget because they now have something to lose politically

Scott Galloway, Professor at the NYU Stern School of Business and member of the World Economic Forum’s “Global Leaders Of Tomorrow” list, is one of the cultists that now wants to be given a free pass as he debates the issue on Real Time with Bill Maher.

The question that we need to ask Galloway is: How forgiving was he when confronted with people who opposed his authoritarianism? Galloway was rabidly pro-mandate. He consistently called for harsher punishments for people refusing to comply and he demanded that the unvaccinated be treated as second tier citizens banned from places of business. As he argued in his blog titled ‘Half Of America Has Its Head Up Its Ass. It’s Time For A Vaccine Mandate’:

“Enough already. Federal law should require any citizen who wants to cash a government check, use public transport, or enter a place of business to show proof of vaccination…”

Galloway cited the ever present inflated CDC data on covid deaths in America as the justification for his authoritarian position. Of course, data was available not long after the spread of covid indicating that the Infection Fatality Rate of the virus was a tiny 0.23% and that 99.8% of the population (including the unvaccinated) had nothing to fear. Not only that, but the CDC has recently and quietly published information showing that around 95% of people who died with covid also had one or more comorbidities and 75% had at least four – Meaning, if you did not have multiple comorbidities your chances of dying from covid were incredibly small.

Do Galloway and those like him deserve a clean slate? No, they don’t, and here’s why…

No Apologies

We hear many covid authoritarians talk about forgiveness but very few of them actually apologize for their behavior. Galloway calls for “grace”, perhaps trying to appeal to the Christian notion of “turning the other cheek.” He admits he was wrong on the mandates (because the data forces him to), but he doesn’t actually apologize for his behavior. In fact, he excuses his behavior and the behavior of leftist politicians as them doing the best they could do given the imperfect information they had at the time. This is a common tactic of misdirection.

As noted above, within months of covid becoming active in the US, the data was already available showing that the virus was not a legitimate threat. So the claim that their information was “the best they had at the time” does not hold water. There was more than enough evidence to warrant opposition to unconstitutional policies (frankly, even if covid had been more deadly it doesn’t justify violations of the Bill of Rights). Millions of Americans tried to explain the truth to those panicking over covid, and they chose not to listen, calling us “selfish conspiracy theorists.”

But the greatest trespasses were among those analysts and “influencers” who used covid as an opportunity for political gain, knowing that there was information that debunked government and media spin. The worst people are those that have no intention of making amends because they plan to try again. People who do wrong and refuse to give a legitimate apology are the kinds of people that are likely to commit similar offenses in the future.

Mad With Power

The covidians were primarily from the left side of the political spectrum and wherever leftists were most concentrated is where the most egregious violations of liberty took place. The political left went absolutely mad with power, with a large number of Democrats supporting Orwellian controls to punish people refusing to submit to the mandates.

There were calls to fine the unvaccinated, imprison people who question the vaccine, put the vaccinated on home lockdown and even take away their children. In some states, like New York, there was active legislation put forward to create detention facilities for people that did not comply (covid camps). That is some serious Stalinist behavior and we are still waiting for it to be addressed and for certain political leaders to be punished.

As the old saying goes: “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.” We have now seen the character of the political left. We have seen the character of people like Galloway, and they have been found untrustworthy.

It Can And Will Happen Again

The covid event was really a litmus test for authoritarian tendencies in the US. At least half the public failed that test miserably. We may not see another pandemic agenda in our lifetimes, but that doesn’t really matter. There will be many other opportunities in the future for ignorant people and sociopathic people to act out on their darker impulses. It is important to make a note of how the individuals around us behave when they think it’s safe to be evil, and we must remember who they are. These are not people that should be given “grace” or trust down the road when the next crisis strikes; they have shown themselves to be unworthy of that.

Zelensky will be Ukraine’s last president – exiled opposition leader | RT – Daily news by RT

The country’s political system has become mired in betrayal and militarism because of its leader, Viktor Medvedchuk has claimed

Zelensky will be Ukraine’s last president – exiled opposition leader

Ex-Ukrainian opposition leader Viktor Medvedchuk, now in exile in Russia, denounced Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky in a column on Friday. The former politician said that the current Ukrainian head of state
may well be the last, and Zelensky only has himself to blame.

In his piece, Medvedchuk called Zelensky a merciless “professional traitor” whose pattern of stabbing everyone in the back for his own gain has ruined the country.

After being elected president on a platform of peace with Russia and reconciliation with Donbass, Zelensky “ceded power to radical nationalists, adopting their rhetoric and behavior,” Medvedchuk wrote. In doing that, he betrayed the people who voted for him.

“Zelensky simply got scared of becoming a peacemaker since it would require him to oppose aggressive forces inside and outside of the country,” he argued.

Ukraine’s top security official threatens Zelensky critics

Instead of delivering on the promise of fighting corruption, he and his team “saddled the financial flows.” And after hostilities with Russia broke out last year, the president “realized that the war can be profitable” too. According to Medvedchuk, Zelensky acted as a US tool to pressure European nations to sacrifice their economic well-being for Ukraine.

“In fact, Zelensky betrayed the interests of not only Ukraine but also the EU,” he claimed.

The column mentioned the recent arrest of Yury Kolomoysky, a once-powerful oligarch whose media empire allowed Zelensky to become a popular comedian before running for office. Medvedchuk claimed that it was another example of the president’s backstabbing.

“Having betrayed everyone, [Zelensky] is now alone. He has no allies, only a flock of flatterers, who will sell him out if given a reasonable price,” he wrote. Zelensky has built “a criminal dictatorship of Nazism and militarism, and that is why he will be the last president of the nation, which he had betrayed with such cynicism.”

Medvedchuk led a political party, which had the largest opposition faction in the Ukrainian parliament, before 2022. Amid the conflict with Russia, Kiev branded him a traitor, cracked down on his political activities, and seized all his assets. The politician was arrested and handed over to Moscow in a prisoner swap in September last year.

The column was the man’s comment on a TIME profile of Zelensky, in which insiders described the president as delusional and calcified in his determination to pursue a military victory. Aleksey Danilov, a senior Ukrainian security official, said the anonymous sources who spoke to the magazine should be identified and punished for disloyalty.
