There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "…truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity–it is simply true and that is the end of it" – Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
Has your church ever done a community outreach event? Perhaps you’ve been part of one of these that has offered people free food, along with games for children and a chance to bounce around on inflatables. That’s all wonderful. We certainly want people in our neighborhoods to know we are friendly, perhaps even likable. But, quite frankly, any group of people—believers or not—can put on an event like that.
We must want more for our friends and neighbors than that. We must long for them to have an encounter with the risen Jesus and to find life in Him.
The best reason for a church to convene a community day, then, is the same reason for it to convene any gathering: so that men, women, and children might have a direct encounter with the living God through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ultimately, we want unbelieving people around us to become committed followers of Jesus.
One way to conceive of sharing the good news is by reciting the ABCs of the gospel:
A – Admit: We all have something to admit. We have sinned, every last one of us. We have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). And though “the wages of sin is death, … the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus” (6:23). Unless we admit our need, we will never know the remedy.
B – Believe: There is something to believe. Jesus Christ died in the place of sinners like us. The good news of the gospel is not about what we’re able to do in order to make ourselves acceptable to God; it is the wonder of what God has already done in Jesus. The message is that “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). We must believe it.
C – Come: We must come to Jesus. We can have a sense of our sinfulness and even know that Christ died in our place, but unless we entrust ourselves to Him, we remain lost. Jesus says, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28, emphasis added).
Sometimes people get stuck between B and C and, despite knowing they’re sinners and understanding the gospel, have never actually come to the Lord Jesus. It is worth checking that this does not describe you. If it does, it’s appropriate to ask, What are you waiting for? The Lord Jesus Himself said, “Whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” When you sense pangs and longings in your soul that nothing else seems to satisfy, then come to Jesus. Full and everlasting satisfaction awaits.
If you have come to Jesus and found life in Him, then do not keep quiet about Him. The “bread of life” is for offering around! So by all means let us and our churches show gospel kindness in our acts of love. But we are called to do more, too: to share gospel truth in what we say. To whom will you offer the “bread of life” this week?
“As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.”
There is a great lie about the gospel that is common in our culture and that sometimes we, as churches and individual believers, help to promote. The fatal fabrication is this: Coming to Jesus and believing the gospel means no more fun. The Christian life is a dull life, a lesser life—a disappointing life, even. Thank God, nothing could be further from the truth!
Scripture describes God as a Father who gives good gifts to His children (Matthew 7:11), and as the one who “richly provides us with everything to enjoy” and who will refuse “no good thing” to “those who walk uprightly” (Psalm 84:11). We must be clear: the testimony of Scripture does not suggest that we can do whatever we want, nor does it imply that God will give us whatever we want. It does, however, repeatedly tell us that we have a generous Father who wants His children to enjoy His many blessings.
Paul’s first letter to his protégé Timothy declares that “everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer” (1 Timothy 4:4-5). So the Christian standard is not one of austerity or asceticism, nor consumption or consumerism. No, we are guided by God’s word to set our hopes on God and to enjoy all He gives us as good gifts from Him. This approach to life leads us to a wellspring of unending joy.
Inevitably, this revelation of our Father’s character as the great Giver and our greatest treasure will lead us to a different kind of lifestyle than those of many of our neighbors. As we learn that “it is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35), we don’t quite keep as much to ourselves. As we realize that “godliness with contentment is great gain” (1 Timothy 6:6), we don’t require the latest gadget or shiniest car to temporarily boost our happiness.
The Christian life is not drab, nor dull, nor ever pale. While our faith may lead us to forgo certain creature comforts in this life, untold riches await all who give their lives to Jesus. And what’s more, those riches in heaven stretch back from heaven to bless us now with supernatural peace and sturdy joy as we delight in good gifts from our heavenly Father’s hand. Be sure not to believe the lie that a life following Jesus gives you less than you would otherwise have enjoyed. Be sure not to promote that falsehood to those around you, either.
Jesus has promised He will return to the world one day in glory. But when will this occur? Today, R.C. Sproul presents three details that we can know for certain about the second coming of Christ.
5:32I have not come to call Jesus is not interested in the self-righteousness of the Pharisees. Rather, He seeks to redeem the outcasts of society and calls them to discipleship. Compare 15:7 and note.[1]
5:32 Jesus’ mission was to call sinners to repentance. Upon His ascension, Jesus commissioned His disciples to the same task (24:47; see also 3:3, 8; 13:1–5; 15:7–10; 16:30; 17:3, 4; Acts 26:20). In this passage repentance is pictured as a patient who recognizes that illness is present and that only Jesus, the Great Physician, can treat it. A humble approach to God for spiritual healing is the essence of repentance.[2]
5:32. This famous mission statement from Jesus—“I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance”—functions on various levels. It rebukes the self-righteous by highlighting their own self-delusion of moral uprightness; it excludes the actually righteous (those like Simeon and Anna who already enjoyed fellowship with God); and it invites the unrighteous (those lacking in moral uprightness) to harmonious relations with Him—the goal of repentance.[3]
5:32 The Pharisees considered themselves to be righteous. They had no deep sense of sin or of need. Therefore, they could not benefit from the ministry of the Great Physician. But these tax collectors and sinners realized that they were sinners and that they needed to be saved from their sins. It was for people like them that the Savior came. Actually, the Pharisees were not righteous. They needed to be saved as much as the tax collectors. But they were unwilling to confess their sins and acknowledge their guilt. And so they criticized the Doctor for going to people who were seriously ill.[4]
5:32 “repentance” The Greek term “repentance” means a change of mind. The Hebrew term for “repentance” means a change of action. Both are required for true biblical repentance. It is turning from (repentance), as well as a turning to (faith). We can see this so well in Mark 1:15, where it says “repent and believe” (cf. Acts 3:16, 19; 20:21). This shows the positive aspect of faith and the negative aspect of repentance. Jesus said it so well when He said “unless you repent you shall all likewise perish” (cf. Luke 13:3). See Special Topic: Repentance at 3:3.[5]
Ver. 32. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.—
The Sin healer:—This conduct of Christ was not official or symbolic. It was His feeling as very God that led Him to this course. It opened to the world the very Divine nature. A disposition to heal men of sin is a greater manifestation of Divine rectitude than to exterminate sin by punishment. It is this thought that I shall attempt to draw out briefly, and apply to our own case and experience.
I. To heal sin evinces hatred of evil even more than a summary punishment of it. Consider the patience, the self-sacrifice, which is required to win men from evil habits, and from wicked dispositions. Now we measure our moral likes or dislikes by what they lead us to undergo. How much we love we can tell by how much we will bear for our affections; how much we dislike, by what effort we are willing to put forth to resist or avoid what is offensive to us. Consider a teacher who shall avenge himself of a pupil’s disobedience by punishing, or by summarily excluding that pupil. How cheap is such riddance of mischief from his school! How is all summed up in one outburst of feeling! It is very painful and disagreeable, but it is short. But suppose that, instead of resorting to expulsion, with its disgrace, the teacher shall enter into the sympathy of the pupil by gentleness, by winning kindness, by forbearance, by devoting his very life to him, and shall set him upon reformation, and wait for him to reform, and endure while he is reforming. How much more does he, by such a course of conduct as this, evince his dislike of evil, than by merely excluding the pupil! What we will bear for the sake of getting rid of evil, measures how much we dislike it.
II. A disposition to heal sin is the clearest possible expositor of moral rectitude. Men do not always see it to be so. It is a part of our lower thinking to believe that a thunderous exhibition, with a display of wrath and punitive judgment, is a more solemn and conclusive manifestation of the Divine abhorrence of sin. But an abhorrence of sin is more illustriously marked by gentleness and patience in healing it, than by any display of justice in punishing it. He that once conceives of the God that presides over the universe, and keeps all its elements intact and unharmed, as a God that makes Himself the medicine for those that are led away from purity, and becomes Himself the Saviour of sinners—he that once does this has a conception of rectitude in God, and of the Divine hatred of evil, such as he can get in no other way.
III. A disposition to heal sin does not take away from sin any of its dangers. It removes no barriers, and yields no encouragements. There are ways of dealing with evil that lead to the presumption that it is safe to sin because there is a chance for recovery, if harm begins to come upon the sinner; but the way in which Christ dealt with evil led to no such presumption. Where men fall into sickness by their excesses, is the tenderness on the part of the nurse an argument for the repetition of those excesses. The care and the kindness of a parent in restoring a son from downfall are never a reason with a grateful son for falling again. And the grace of God in Christ Jesus, that bears with sin, not because it is to be allowed, but because, being hateful. God addresses the whole energy of His Being and administration to the rescue of men from it—this does not take away anything from the fear of sin, nor furnish motives to transgression.
IV. On the part of those who are healed, A disposition to heal sin produces a generous repentance, which grows out of the nobler sentiments of the mind, and which is therefore a true repentance—one that does not need to be repented of. It is no longer fear of consequences, nor even self-condemnation or conscience, that inspires reformation; it is an action of gratitude; a work of love.
V. Such a disposition presents the divine character in a light which tends to universal admiration and universal confidence. It takes nothing away from the essential authority and monarchy of God; but it brings God into vital sympathetic relations to His creatures—especially where the remedy has been wrought out at the expense of His own life. The spectacle of a God that is clothed with a spirit of justice made firm in the administration of a righteous government, and of one that, loving justice, still finds rescue and release for the transgressor through the interposition of His own self—that spectacle is one that cannot but fill the heart of every pure and noble creature with admiration and confidence and love. God, by the very pains with which He sought to cleanse the heart and the conscience, testified to how dangerous was that sin that had disfigured the conscience and soiled the heart. With this brief statement, I remark—1. There is great encouragement for men that have given way to temptation and transgression, to turn back from evil, to repent, and to enter upon a course of right-living. One of the most wonderful of doctrines was the declaration of Christ that a man might be born again; not merely that he must be—which it true, if he would see the kingdom of heaven—but that he might be; that a man who had for years and years gone wrong, might, as it were, go back and call all the past nothing, and start over again. What would men give if they could do this in their secular affairs! Only God is on the side of the man that wants to return to the path of holiness. There is no parallel to the Divine helpfulness towards the erring anywhere out of the family. When men in secular relations and social connections have done wrong, nothing is on their side—everything is against them. The influences of this world tend to hold a man up in the beginning. 2. This exhibition of God in healing sin instead of punishing it, is the model for Christian dispositions. We must have the Spirit of Christ, or we are none of His. The mother that watches over her child, and that, seeing its faults, not so much punishes it as trains it out of those faults, devoting her life, day and night, to its welfare; the mother that wins her child out of evil into good—that mother stands as the child’s saviour, reproducing the example and conduct of Christ towards her little one. Are there those round about you that need succour and help? Have you done some things for them? 3. What will be the glorious disclosure of this Divine nature in heaven—the lovableness of God, the attractive beauty that there is in Him, so disclosed by the Saviour! (H. W. Beecher.)
Self-righteousness giving way to penitence:—The man who thinks he is not so very bad, is no true penitent. “I am the chief of sinners,” said holy Paul, and that is sure to be the feeling of the man who is truly penitent. A good Quaker told me once how he visited a sick neighbour, and began to talk to the man about soul-matters. Religion was all very good, the poor sick man acknowledged, but he could not see what need he had to concern himself about it, for he had never done anybody any harm in his life. The good Quaker tried to convince him that he had lived without hope and without God in the world, and that he was not fit to die; that he had neither prayed nor worshipped, nor read his Bible, nor trained up his children in the fear of God, and he ought to feel himself a sinner in the sight of his Maker. The good Quaker knelt and prayed with him, and visited him again and again, and began to observe that the man gradually forgot to boast of his innocence; and, at last, seemed to be growing very tender, for he observed him in tears. At last he could conceal his state no longer, but burst out into weeping—“I am too great a sinner,” said he; “there is no mercy for me!” “Thank God!” said the good Quaker, “I have hope of thee now. Let us pray once more, and see if there be no mercy for thee.” The Quaker prayed, and the poor sinner prayed; and before they gave over, the sinner’s soul was set free, and he rejoiced in the pardoning love of God. (Thomas Cooper.)
Christ’s errand:—
I. What is the purport of christ’s coming into and work in the world as announced in the scriptures generally? Universal and all-inclusive. The world. Whosoever.
II. Here, however, an apparent limitation. Some whom He did not come to call: the righteous. Who were these righteous? Were they really righteous? No, but only self-righteous.
III. Are there, then, any whom Christ did not come to save? No. But so long as a man is self-righteous he is not saveable, he cannot hear and obey the call of Christ. Christ’s errand is to the needy and the sinful. Let the self-righteous become conscious of his unrighteousness and sinfulness, and he becomes at once one of those whom Christ came to call. For—
IV. In coming to call sinners he truly came to call all, for all are sinners. And thus is the apparent limitation, so far as His desire and purpose are concerned, shown not really to exist. He will have all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (J. R. Bailey.) Criminality certainly appeared to Christ more odious and detestable than it did to His contemporaries. How strange, then, to find Him treating it more leniently! perfect justice here appears to take the very course which would be taken by injustice. It is true that the extremes do in a manner meet. Christ, representing the highest humanity, treats crime in a manner which superficially resembles the treatment of it by those in whom humanity is at the lowest stage. But the other toleration was barbarous. Christ’s toleration is the newly-revealed virtue of mercy. (Ecce Homo.) There are two classes of men—the righteous who believe themselves sinners; and sinners who believe themselves righteous. (Pascal.)[6]
5:32I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. The contrast between the self-satisfied righteous and the repentant sinner is typical of Luke; see the parables of the two sons (15:11–32) and of the Pharisee and the tax collector (18:9–14). Only Luke includes the phrase “to repentance,” an important caveat: Jesus offers spiritual salvation, not mere acceptance for those who have failed morally.[7]

We also believe that Christian Worship is to be regulated and defined by God’s Word, the Bible.
Our worship services are designed to please and honor the Triune God of the Bible. We place Scripture reading and the preaching of the word of God at the center of worship along with Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. These are God’s gifts to His church and ought to always be at the center of Christian worship. We are a congregation that loves to sing God’s praises, recite His Word back to Him, and actively engage in hearing and learning from God’s Word.
We embrace and promote a comprehensive Christian world and life view.
There is no area of life which is not under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It is to God and His law which all people, including governments and civil rulers, will answer. The Word of God embraces and informs the way we view marriage, the family, children, education, politics, worship, law, government, war, the church, missions, evangelism, and worship. In the world today there is a battle of opposing worldviews. There are basically only two positions: God’s Word and man’s ideas. We stand positively for Biblical truth and negatively against man’s ideas which are opposed to Biblical truth.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only hope for mankind.
Because all men fall short of obeying God’s law, all men everywhere are in need of divine grace and salvation from God. This salvation is found only in the Lord Jesus Christ who died for sinners, was buried, rose again, and is alive today seated at God the Father’s right hand.
We Worship God Together as Families.
We offer nursery during morning worship service for newborns and infants but encourage people to keep as many of their children as they can with them for morning worship. The audio of the service is in the nursery via speakers. There is also a crying room with a video screen and audio of the sermon. We offer Sunday school classes for all ages but worship together as families. We do not offer “children’s” church. Children need to be in morning worship as soon as possible so they can learn how to participate as active worshipers of God which includes the singing of His praises and listening actively to sermons.
As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem.Isaiah 31:5
With hurrying wing the mother bird hastens up to the protection of her young. She wastes no time upon the road when coming to supply them with food or guard them from danger. Thus as on eagle’s wings will the Lord come for the defense of His chosen; yea, He will ride upon the wings of the wind.
With outspread wing the mother covers her little ones in the nest. She hides them away by interposing her own body. The hen yields her own warmth to her chicks and makes her wings a house, in which they dwell at home. Thus doth Jehovah Himself become the protection of His elect. He Himself is their refuge, their abode, their all.
As birds flying and birds covering (for the word means both), so will the Lord be unto us: and this He will be repeatedly and successfully. We shall be defended and preserved from all evil: the Lord who likens Himself to birds will not be like them in their feebleness, for He is Jehovah of hosts. Let this be our comfort, that almighty love will be swift to succor and sure to cover. The wing of God is more quick and more tender than the wing of a bird, and we will put our trust under its shadow henceforth and forever.
“How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!” Psalm 139:17-18 (NLT)
I will never forget the day I was sitting eating dinner with my family when I was six years old. My Dad came home from work and surprised me with something special. I didn’t see him often growing up, so the moment when he walked through the door and handed me a doll I’d had my heart set on for a while, it meant the world to me.
Just like my dad showed me I was in his thoughts and on his heart, so does our Heavenly Father. God pursues His children in different ways, but He does it because His desire is for us to know Him and His love for us.
Psalm 139 shows us that God pursued us even before we began to pursue Him, and that He knows us even more than we know ourselves. He knows our joys, our fears, our grief, and every thought we have.
Before Jesus was crucified, He fell down with his face to the ground in prayer. Jesus knew he could go to His Father during one of the most agonizing and excruciating moments in his life because He knew the love God the Father had for him.
As a child, I missed knowing my father more, but I know he loved me. God never leaves. He’s always there. Knowing our Heavenly Father is the only way to fill the emptiness we can so often experience. The more we nurture a relationship with Him, the more we will know and cherish Him and His pursuing love for us.
Heavenly Father, thank you for reminding me that you love me and desire to have an intimate relationship with me. I want to know you and know your purpose for my life so that your will is done through me. I pray that you would open my heart and mind to know you and love you more. Amen.
Are you at a place in your life where you want to know Jesus and have him in your life? You can start a life surrendered to Christ today. This is a sample, simple prayer, but the words are powerful and full of meaning. If you truly believe them Christ will enter your life and start you on a wonderful journey. (not always easy, but never alone)
Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life to You and ask You to come in as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” Hebrews 4:12 KJV
Often, what you and I have to say may seem weak and insipid. But then we have the clear promise that it really will accomplish something, for it has several characteristics that guarantee such results.
First, the holy inspired Word of God is impregnated with the power of the Holy Spirit and is quick living. It is energetic and active – not dead, inert or powerless.
Second, the Word is powerful. Its mighty power awakens the conscience, reveals our fears, bares the secret feelings of the heart and causes the sinner to tremble at the threat of impending judgment.
Third, the Word is sharp-sharper than a two-edged sword. The Word has power to penetrate. It reaches the heart, laying open our motives and feelings.
Fourth, the Word pierces-penetrates.
Fifth, the Word discerns-shows what our thoughts and intentions are. Men see their real character in the mirror of God’s Word.
Those are some of the reasons for choosing to use the Word of God in every possible situation, allowing it to be its own best defense. God’s Word will never return unto Him void.

In his first public address since the war, Nasrallah was widely expected to give an indication, or possibly even an explicit proclamation of war against Israel but failed to do so.
Storm Ciarán hits Western Europe with record-breaking winds, causing deaths and widespread damage Storm Ciarán — the 5th named and the most powerful storm of the 2023/24 European windstorm season thus far — wreaked havoc across Western Europe on November 2, 2023, with record winds reaching 200 km/h (124 mph), leading to floods, blackouts, and major disruptions. Israel’s wisdom and persistence after declaring war on the evil of Hamas Following the heinous murderous attacks by Hamas against Israeli civilians on Oct. 7, Israel declared war for the first time in half a century. The last Israeli war declaration came when Egypt conducted a sneak attack on Israel on Yom Kippur in 1973, crossing the Suez Canal into Israeli controlled Sinai. Likewise, the Oct. 7 attack came on the 50th anniversary of the ‘73 war and on Sukkot, the festival honoring of God for His protection of the Hebrew people during the 40 years they spent in the Wilderness.
Hypocrite: Bill Gates is funding 70 million acres of Deforestation in North America Bill Gates and other investors are betting Kodama Systems can reduce carbon dioxide in the air by chopping down and burying trees. The move will see 70 million acres of forests, mostly in the Western United States, cut down over the next decade. After cutting down the trees, Kodama plans to bury them – to reduce global warming. However, “global warming” is a scam to enable the rich to become richer and the real reason for the destruction of forests is to reap saleable carbon offsets.
42% of Americans Would Likely Join a Class Action Lawsuit Against COVID Vax Makers if it was Permitted by Law According to a Rasmussen poll “42% of Americans were vaccine injured! The poll also implies that 500,000 Americans were killed by the jab,” according to Steve Kirsch, who asks “How many more Americans must be killed before this deadly vaccine is stopped?” “This is getting too big to hide.” he says, and adds “Isn’t it funny how it is only the misinformation spreaders calling for data transparency of public health data? Nobody else. Not the media, the medical community, doctors, members of Congress, etc. What does that tell you? It tells you that they don’t want you to learn the truth.”
How Did the Corruption of Public Health Happen? “The Covid-19 response of the international health industry, led by the World Health Organisation (WHO), impoverished the public and degraded health.” Now, there is a current push to grant even more authority to the WHO and while funding initiatives that provide access to essential healthcare services may benefit the global community, giving the WHO more power should not be mistaken for an effort to enhance public health. In fact, allocating public funds to the WHO would further diminish individual freedoms and fundamental human rights and would be detrimental to society.
Professors find 1 dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 Vaccine is contaminated with 200 Billion pieces of DNA Cancer genomics expert Dr. Phillip Buckhaults recently testified to the South Carolina Senate about the DNA contamination found in Pfizer’s mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. There are an estimated 200 billion pieces of plasmid DNA in each dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, he said. These pieces of DNA are packaged in lipid nanoparticles, basically a synthetic virus, and are delivered into vaccinees’ cells.

In ways not seen in decades, debate over the limits of free speech has once again taken center stage in American politics. What are the boundaries of free expression? What is to be made of cancel culture? And what is the role of social media in constructively shaping public discourse? Many argue that free speech is under attack, yet the real problem facing America today is not about free speech, but rather civility.
Free speech is an essential component of American democracy, as enshrined in the First Amendment of the Constitution. It allows for the exchange of ideas, criticism of government, and the freedom to express one’s beliefs without fear of censorship or persecution. However, free speech does not exist in a vacuum, and our rights to speech come with corresponding responsibilities.
Civility, or the lack thereof, has become a major issue in American public discourse. We are witnessing a troubling decline in respectful and productive dialogue. Social media platforms, once heralded as tools for connectivity and information sharing, have become breeding grounds for vitriol, harassment, and division. Political polarization has reached unprecedented levels, and Americans seem more inclined to shout each other down rather than engage in constructive conversations.
The consequences of this civility problem are significant. Instead of healthy debate and compromise, we see political gridlock, where representatives prioritize party loyalty over the well-being of the nation. The inability to engage in civil discourse has eroded trust in our institutions and has left many Americans feeling disillusioned with and alienated from the political process.
The erosion of civility has also led to cancel culture, where individuals face severe consequences for unpopular opinions or making mistakes at a time when the internet displays our failings for all to see. While some instances of accountability are necessary, cancel culture often goes too far, shutting down open dialogue and discouraging free expression for fear of social or professional ruin. This stifling effect on free expression is alarming to say the least. If domestic levels of hatred continue to escalate, America will be an increasingly insecure and vulnerable country. Historically, the United States has rarely faced threats from foreign enemies on its own soil, most of its wars having been fought on distant shores. However, when a nation’s internal cohesion weakens, its vulnerability increases, making it an attractive target for external adversaries.
America’s civility problem is not only a matter of domestic concern; it is a national security problem as well. The erosion of civility not only undermines the fabric of society but also weakens the nation’s ability to stand united in the face of external threats. It is a wake-up call to recognize that a house divided against itself cannot withstand threats from without. Therefore, addressing our civility problem isn’t just a matter of courtesy; it’s an imperative for the strength, security, and unity of the United States.
So, what can be done to address America’s civility problem? First, we need to recognize that freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences. Accountability is essential, but it should be carried out through thoughtful and proportionate means, rather than mob-driven cancelation.
Second, media outlets and social media platforms can play a crucial role in promoting civility. They should prioritize fact-checking, responsible reporting, and community guidelines that discourage hate speech and harassment while encouraging civil conversations. Additionally, individuals should take personal responsibility for their online behavior and refrain from resorting to personal attacks and ad hominem arguments.
Lastly, we need to promote education that fosters critical thinking and empathy. In a diverse and pluralistic society like America, the ability to understand and respect differing viewpoints is vital. So far, America has been great at creating and maintaining a system that tolerates a high level of diversity. We must return to these values of free and open exchange in the hopes of a renaissance of civility in our daily lives. Encouraging civil discourse in schools and communities would go a long way in combating the current trend of hostility. This will require Americans on the center-right and left to recommit themselves to the idea that compromise is not only possible but also desirable. Americans must resist the temptations of extremists on the left and right who argue that good-faith dialogue is a waste of time.
In conclusion, it’s essential to recognize that the challenges facing our society must be met with a rebirth of civility rather than a curtailment of free speech. Certain statements are off-limits, not from lack of freedom but because of the presence of moral and ethical boundaries. Protecting and preserving free speech should remain a top priority, but it should not be used as an excuse for promoting hate, harassment, or the erosion of civil discourse. It’s time for America to address its civility problem and restore respectful and constructive dialogue to the forefront of our national conversation.

If you don’t think America faces an unraveling at her seams, think again. We’ve got some really crazy, misguided and totally nuts college students parading across America against America. They are threatening Jews with death. They are killing themselves with drugs. They are shoplifting this country into bankruptcy. They are marching at college campuses in favor of Hamas’ killing Jews. They demand our institutions to lower academic standards because “math” is racist.
Our president and U.S. Congress have allowed over 8,000,000 illegal aliens, along with terrorists to enter our country in the past 34 months. The president of our country “really” doesn’t know what day of the week it is…and because of his dementia, he cannot pass a mental competency test to save his life. Instead, he’s killing America. Or, at least his wife and/or his handlers are killing our country.
As reported by NBC’s anchor Lester Holt last night, Miami’s Jewish old ladies are taking pistol practice at a gun range because they saw many signs, “Free Gaza—Kill All Jews.” The gun range owner said that his business has jumped 100 percent because of U.S. college campuses demonstrating in favor of Hamas’ killing of 1,400 Jewish women and children on October 7, 2023.
Even the Jewish U.S. Senator Jackie Rosen from Nevada suffered a death threat from an American Hamas supporter, for being Jewish. Jewish students at Cornell University face thousands marching in support of killing Jews. One bold student of Asian background, Patrick Dai, threatened to kill male Jews and rape female Jews. He’s now in custody, but what on earth allowed him to blast his threats all over social media? Is he crazy or are college campuses producing crazy people or what?
The FBI won’t chase down Islamic terrorists at our southern border, but they call our own citizens at school board meetings “Internal terrorists” because those parents don’t want their kids to be taught about “sexual perversions” in the 1st, 2nd and 3rdgrades. Then, you find out that the FBI, which is supposed to be non-political, did everything in its power to foment the Trump-Russia Collusion Hoax for three solid years until it was proven to be fraudulent by whistleblowers within the FBI.
We’ve got Black Lives Matter burning, looting and killing across our major cities, but no one faces arrest or a court room. We have Islamic Training Camps in America, but we Americans are called “terrorists” if we disagree with Joe Biden.
The National Debt just passed $33 trillion, but Joe Biden wants to give $70 billion to Ukraine while all of Europe contributes nothing to save one of their own countries.
One look at the 10,000 Muslims marching in London over the weekend in favor of Hamas’ slaughter of women and babies in Israel shows you what mass immigration out of the Middle East does to Western Countries. The same Muslims marched in Paris, France. They marched in favor of killing Jews in most major German cities like Stuttgart, Munich, Berlin and more.
Who in the hell thought it was a good idea to import the MOST violent religion on the planet into Western Civil Societies? Do you understand Islam instigates the MOST tribal, barbaric aspect of human nature? How could those Hamas terrorists kill all those Jews with such brutality? How could they burn them alive in their own houses? Answer: it’s commanded by their Qur’an. “Cut off their fingers, cut off their hands, cut off their heads to honor Allah.”
And now, we’ve got 4,000,000 of these islamists in the USA. They will remain peaceful only as long as our numbers and laws outnumber their numbers. But they still practice barbaric Sharia Law within America.
How stupid is it to pretend to be solving “catastrophic climate destabilization” with electric cars and banning gas stoves along with weed blowers when Dementia Joe just added no less than 10,000,000 legal and illegal immigrants to America in the past 34 months? Every single one of those refugees will burn more gasoline, more heating oil, more propane gas, more electricity, more energy of every kind to maintain themselves.
And now, my two U.S. Senators want to bring in more Muslim refugees from Palestine. What are they using for brains and common sense? Do we not have enough racial and religious conflict in America without piling on more of what’s causing our societal conflict?
Then, we’ve got an Alaska airline pilot threatening to shoot the captain of the plane with over 100 passengers on board. He consumed some mushrooms two days earlier. Does that show you that we’ve got endless crazy people on drugs, mushrooms, pot, fentanyl and worse?
Anybody thinks it’s wonderful that so many kids are driving stoned today? What about the millions of people texting while driving?
Journalist Mandy Sleight wrote, “Although 48 states have texting and driving laws in place, many American drivers still take part in this dangerous practice daily. When driving during the day, there are an estimated 354,415 drivers holding a phone to their ear, and even more using them while driving, according to the NHTSA. In 2020, the CDC estimated that around 3,000 people die annually from texting and driving and other distracted driving practices.”
How would you like to lose your life to one of those mental morons texting and driving at 70 miles per hour? Or, how about the 14 million drunks on our highways that kill up to 20,000 Americans annually?
With all this craziness, lawlessness and outright insanity, how do we expect to hold America together? How do we expect to remain a cohesive society? How do we expect to continue as a viable economic system? How do we expect to solve our incredible and incompatible religious divisions? Our racial divisions? Do you have any solutions?
Or, are we in so much trouble that there are no solutions?
It’s never a good sign when you can’t say with certainty whether the president of the United States knows the ice cream cone he’s trying to eat isn’t real, but here we are.
President Joe Biden, 80, wore a frighteningly convincing Halloween costume this week (frail zombie man clinging to life and power) and handed out candy to children, presumably while suppressing the urge to smell their hair.

Makes Sense … to a Narcissist
Mike Pence dropped out of the race and Trump suggested that he should endorse Trump … the guy who wanted to see him hanged. Makes sense to an “I could shoot someone on 5th Ave and not lose a voter” mind, I suppose. (Sidenote: The Bee said Mike Pence dropping out was his best decision since launching his campaign.)
Finally, I Appear to be Represented in Government
The more I read about Mike Johnson, the new House Speaker, the better I like him. Like in this hit piece from Slate magazine. Read it for yourself. (Slate, by the way, doesn’t understand “covenant marriage” in the least, defining it as a “contract” instead. Do you?) (Spoiler alert: Their big complaint about Johnson is that he and his wife plan to remain married for life … “til death do us part.” Losers.)
In This Crazy, Mixed Up World
The FBI is investigating hate crimes at Cornell University after numerous death threats were made to Jewish students on campus. Because everyone knows that the good guys are the ones who livestream with pride their beheading of children and murder of innocents and the bad guys are the ones that warn the population that they will be putting a stop to it. And any connection at all to those who “caused” this (that is, those who were the victims) is a good reason to threaten further harm to them. (And isn’t it funny that this likely comes from liberals who hope to end the violence … by perpetrating it?) Crazy Cornell; crazy world.
Assault on Democracy
Wisconsin’s Democratic governor is suing the Republican-led legislature because they aren’t doing what he thinks they ought. That is, “I don’t care how our government is supposed to work. These people need to do things the way I think they should. We’ll let the court decide.” Oh, I bet you were thinking I was writing about Trump, right?
Evidence from a Hostile Witness?
I can’t find this in the mainstream media, but there are reports that Pascal Najadi, the son of a World Economic Forum (WEF) co-founder, is calling for the arrest of those responsible for the forced COVID-19 vaccinations, calling it government mass murder. He included Bill Gates, the WEF, Big Pharma, Big Tech, and the WHO in the accusation. He claims he now has a terminal autoimmune condition caused by the Pfizer vaccine. I have no further comment.
Gifts from the Left
Let’s see … first there was massive inflation brought on by Biden’s economic policies which brought us over 7% mortgage rates and then there was the “living wage” increases that, amazingly brought a serious increase to labor costs, just to name a few. The dollar you had in 2021 is now worth about $0.85 today. Thanks, Mr. Biden.
I Don’t Even …
The USA Today is reporting that birds are being renamed “in effort to shun racism and make science more diverse.” Some of the people who found and identified these birds had “racist and genocidal histories” and we need to eliminate all traces of them … to make science “more diverse.” How do you make science — the systematic study of the physical and natural world — less racist and more diverse? What kind of crazy world …?
Bee True to Yourself
Hamas has clarified that, in their call for a cease fire, they only want Israel to cease fire. True or satire? At home, this Bee headline says it all: “‘I Wouldn’t Have Gone Along With The Nazis In 1939,’ Says College Student At ‘Kill The Jews’ Rally.” Too true to laugh. There is a report out that the White House may have handed out baggies of cocaine to trick-or-treaters this Halloween by accident. Could be? And the one that really hits home these days is the sign seen at McDonald’s drive thrus offering 36-month, 0% interest financing on all value menu items. Now that seems like a deal!
Joe Biden on Friday evening headed to Delaware for the third weekend in a row for another vacation amid multiple crises at home and abroad.
80-year-old Biden has spent 395 days – 39% of his presidency – on vacation without visitor logs.
Marine One costs approximately $20,000 per hour and Air Force One costs $177,843 per hour, according to Department of Defense documents. According to a November 2022 estimate, Biden’s Delaware vacations have cost taxpayers at least $11 million. The cost of Biden’s vacations is likely well over $15 million now.
