There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "…truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity–it is simply true and that is the end of it" – Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
‘He that humbleth himself shall be exalted’ — Luke 18:14
It ought not to be difficult for us to humble ourselves, for what have we to be proud of? We ought to take the lowest place without being told to do so. If we are sensible and honest, we shall be little in our own eyes. Especially before the LORD in prayer we shall shrink to nothing. There we cannot speak of merit, for we have none; our one and only appeal must be to mercy: “God be merciful to me a sinner.” Here is a cheering word from the throne. We shall be exalted by the LORD if we humble ourselves. For us the way upward is downhill. When we are stripped of self we are clothed with humility, and this is the best of wear. The LORD will exalt us in peace and happiness of mind; He will exalt us into knowledge of His Word and fellowship with Himself; He will exalt us in the enjoyment of sure pardon and justification. The LORD puts His honors upon those who can wear them to the honor of the Giver. He gives usefulness, acceptance, and influence to those who will not be puffed up by them but will be abased by a sense of greater responsibility. Neither God nor man will care to lift up a man who lifts up himself; but both God and good men unite to honor modest worth. O LORD, sink me in self that I may rise in Thee.
He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.Micah 7:19
God never turns from His love, but He soon turns from His wrath. His love to His chosen is according to His nature; His anger is only according to His office. He loves because He is love; He frowns because it is necessary for our good. He will come back to the place in which His heart rests, namely, His love to His own, and then He will take pity upon our griefs and end them.
What a choice promise is this—”He will subdue our iniquities”! He will conquer them. They cry to enslave us, but the Lord will give us victory over them by His own right hand. Like the Canaanites, they shall be beaten, put under the yoke, and ultimately slain.
As for the guilt of our sins, how gloriously is that removed! “All their sins”—yes, the whole host of them; “thou wilt cast”—only an almighty arm could perform such a wonder; “into the depths of the sea”—where Pharaoh and his chariots went down. Not into the shallows out of which they might be washed up by the tide, but into the “depths” shall our sins be hurled. They are all gone. They sank into the bottom like a stone. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.” 1 John 4:7-12
Many people simply can’t believe that the Lord could love them. Others believe that He loves them, but only when they are pleasing Him in some way. Why is it so hard for us to accept His unconditional love?
One reason is that we have a hard time loving others without condition. We might say the words “I love you” to our spouse, children, friends, co-workers, or fellow believers but all too often are calculating in our mind whether or not they’ve lived up to our standard. We sometimes excuse ourselves from loving certain people because their behavior upsets or annoys us. The fact that we place restrictions on extending favor causes us to wrongly assume that the Lord does likewise.
Another reason is poor self-image. Considering ourselves unworthy, we refuse to accept God’s love. You know what? None of us are worthy of the heavenly Father’s goodness and mercy–so you can let go of that excuse once and for all. We’re not coming to Him based on our worth. Rather, we’re coming to Him based on His grace, and our position is secure in Christ. To put yourself down as “beneath His grace” is to trample on His loving, generous gift. God arranged an awesome divine way for us to be reconciled to Him, and His greatest desire is for relationship with each of us.
If you feel unloved or struggle to accept yourself, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth of our heavenly Father’s love for you — and to sink it deep into your heart. Receive the truth that He reveals. It will be a completely different story about your value as an individual.

One day I thought about the verse, “Keep yourselves in God’s love,” (Jude 21) and I wondered, “How do I keep myself in God’s love?”
After all, God’s love is eternal, unchanging and constant. Nothing can remove us from the love of God. What then does this directive actually mean?
God directed my thoughts to my relationship with my husband Marvin. He loves me more than anyone on earth. I feel secure, safe and protected. There are times however, when we have a misunderstanding and my feeling of security quickly changes to insecurity. When this happens, I put up a wall. I withdraw from his love rather than keeping myself in his love. The wall I put up shuts out his love.
In the same way, I will at times try to take myself out of God’s love. I know He orchestrates circumstances in my life to teach me divine truths. Sometimes these situations are very painful and I begin to doubt the truth of the Bible regarding God’s love. I put up a wall. His love for me hasn’t changed, but I don’t experience His love.
For example, when our five-month-old grandson, Spencer, died suddenly, the enemy put thoughts in my mind like,
“How could a loving God take away this beautiful grandson from you?”
I began to doubt God’s love. In my mind the attributes of God’s power and sovereignty loomed large and His love seemed small – like the smallest letters on an eyesight-testing chart.
Shortly after Spenser’s death, God spoke to my mind as I was driving along the freeway. He said,
“Katherine, do you believe the Bible?” I answered, “Yes, Lord, You know I do.” “Do you believe that I am love?” In my mind I could clearly see the verse in 1 John 4:16, “God is love.”
That day I made a choice – again. I would believe the Bible from cover to cover. There would be times when I wouldn’t understand God’s ways, but that did not meant the Bible wasn’t true. These times only revealed my limited understanding of God’s ways.
My wall toward God came down and I once again experienced the warmth of His love.
God, thank You that what You say is true. Thank You that the Bible is truer than our feelings. Amen.
God is waiting to show His love and kindness to you and to guide your life. He wants to make something beautiful of your life. And you can open your heart and life to Him today by praying this prayer with a sincere attitude.
Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life to you and ask you to come in as my Savior and Lord. Take control of my life. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Make me the kind of person you want me to be.
Speaker Mike Johnson Faces Looming Battles Over Biden Impeachment, Shutdown Johnson is also going to need to appease the renewed vigor for a Biden impeachment among House Republicans – which we wouldn’t be surprised to see linked to shutdown negotiations. The Road To Another Holocaust Is Being Paved With Wokeness And Apathy Fast forward to October 7, 2023, when the world became a witness to the horrors of the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel. We now know that their attack was straight out of the Nazi playbook. Actually, it was more like a merging of Nazis and Isis on steroids. Most people have been unable to watch any of the gruesome footage gathered by the IDF. How are human beings able to perform such torture on people including very young children and the elderly? Moreover, how can anyone in their right mind even question that what Hamas did was inhuman and clearly belonged to the category of “crimes against humanity?”

The US has ulterior motives for deploying its forces in the region Contrary to the headline grabbing and somewhat frantic reporting and commentary in various parts of the domestic Israeli press, the US moves had little to do with either some imminent joint military action with Israel in the region, or an important defensive military maneuver to aid in Israel’s defense.

Why Are Online Banking Services Suddenly Being Disrupted On A Massive Scale All Over The United States? Should we be concerned about all of the problems that are suddenly erupting at our banks? U.S. banks have been shutting down hundreds of branches, they have been laying off thousands of workers, and as I discussed yesterday vast numbers of customer accounts are being unceremoniously shut down without any warning whatsoever. If all of that wasn’t bad enough, now endless “glitches” are plaguing our banking system.

An Alarming New Variant That Is “Taking Off” In Europe Causes A Disgusting Red Rash On The Skin Are we on the verge of another major health scare? When COVID first erupted several years ago, it was often difficult to identify who had it. But now a new variant has emerged that is really “taking off” in Europe, and a disgusting red rash is one of the primary symptoms. The variant is currently known as “JN.1”, although I am sure that they will give it a fancy new name once it spreads widely enough.

A leak of deranged rantings purportedly written by the Nashville mass killer reveals her anti-white motivations.
Nate Jackson
More than seven months ago, a sociopathic “transgender” woman attacked The Covenant School in Nashville, murdering three nine-year-old children — Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney — and adults Katherine Koonce (headmistress), Cynthia Peak, and Mike Hill. We always want to remember their names and what they stood for. They were Christians who loved Jesus and were educating, caretaking, or being educated with their whole lives ahead of them. They were living life to its fullest until life was taken from them by an evil and disturbed woman.
It’s understandable that the victims’ families and others did not wish for the killer’s so-called “manifesto” to be released to the public, as they hoped to avoid exacerbating the pain and trauma. In some ways, our nation would be better off never giving notoriety to the deranged rantings of mass murderers. Many of them kill for the attention and the fame, which is why, with rare exception such as an active manhunt, we don’t name mass killers. Deprive them of what they seek.
The counterargument is that a free society ought to be informed about who committed atrocities and why, not be misinformed about or distracted by how they’re perpetrated. Without knowing a killer’s true motivations, the narrative, bereft of context, inevitably turns to the tool.
In any case, after most mass shootings, we quickly learn what drove the killer. Not so after this one. Why?
That’s rhetorical. The obvious answer for this particular “manifesto” is because it would almost certainly show that leftist ideology — specifically “transgender” ideology — was the reason for this otherwise senseless assault against conservative Christians. The media, which usually craves such sensational manifestos, was suddenly totally incurious and instead obsessed over other narratives like whether people were “misgendering” the assailant. The FBI even effectively censored the “manifesto” despite early assurances from Nashville police that it would be released.
Under this tension, it was perhaps inevitable that the Nashville “manifesto” was going to be leaked. Conservative pundit Steven Crowder did just that yesterday, and we’ll get to its specifics in a moment.
First, two very important caveats: The leaked journaling excerpts of a madwoman may or may not be legitimate, so take the release with a grain of salt. Furthermore, we keep putting quotes around “manifesto” because what’s scrawled on a few scraps of notebook paper is hardly a coherent or cogently explicated worldview, nor does Crowder’s release appear to be her complete journal.
To the first point, there are two reasons to think the leak is legitimate: Police refuse to confirm one way or the other when a denial would put the whole thing to rest, and Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell, a Democrat, ordered “an investigation into how these images could have been released.”
Meanwhile, social media outlets are censoring the “manifesto.”
Now, to the killer’s purported motivation.
“Kill those kids!!! Those crackers going to private fancy schools with those fancy khakis + sports backpacks w/ their daddies mustangs + convertables [sic],” she allegedly wrote on February 3. “I wish to shoot you weak*ss d**ks w/ your mop yellow hair, wanna kill all you little crackers! Bunch of little f**gots w/ your white privileges.”
“I hope I have a high death count,” she wrote March 27, the day of the attack. “Ready to die haha.”
There’s more vulgarity and hate, but that much will suffice. Clearly, her mental state was suicidal in addition to murderous. Nothing in those excerpts indicates that the killer’s gender dysphoria played a role other than being part of her overall mental illness, though the rest of her journaling may get into that. She was, however, evidently thoroughly indoctrinated in the Left’s anti-white racism. Marxist-based critical race theory treats people not as individuals but as helpless oppressed masses or as cogs in an oppressive wheel. That dehumanization is precisely why CRT is so dangerous.
The killer’s inculcated hatred of a group of people shows why it is so irresponsibly mendacious for leftists — from run-of-the-mill social media trolls all the way up to the president of the United States — to spout racist CRT planks and other woke dogma as if they’re gospel truth. It turns out some deranged people actually believe them and choose to do something about it.
In this case, the victims were the best of us — a hard-working custodian (the sad irony being that he was black), a Christian school principal, a teacher, and three young kids, including the daughter of a pastor. We prayed fervently for their loved ones after the assault in March, and we pray for them now that the pain is again brought to the fore. And we’ll hug our children a little tighter today, too.
Trump in court, American troops in the crosshairs, WaPo elevates Hamas, and more.
Douglas Andrews, Thomas Gallatin, & Jordan Candler
Cross-Examination
Trump in court: Donald Trump took to the witness stand yesterday in a New York trial in which he and his sons are accused of inflating the value of their assets to gain favorable loans and insurance deals. Heavens to Mergatroyd. The judge, a cartoon character named Arthur Engoron, ruled even before the trial began five weeks ago that Trump was liable for fraud. As The New York Times reports, we learned three things: first, that Trump is “treading carefully” about his financial valuations; second, that a witness box “can’t contain” Trump despite the Left’s efforts to gag him; and third, that corrupt New York Attorney General Letitia James is “Trump’s chief target.” Elsewhere, among the Trump-averse editorial board members of The Wall Street Journal, the complaints seemed to focus more on what we might call reverse election interference, by which Trump is running away from the Republican primary field. As the Journal’s editors opined: “The four-course meal to follow is the criminal process, after Mr. Trump’s state indictment in New York, two charge sheets from the feds, and then another in Georgia. Yet despite it all — or more accurately, because of it all — Mr. Trump is dominating the Republican primary polling.” Indeed, Trump is dominating the polling, but to hear them tell it, it’s only because the Democrats have made a martyr out of him. It’s as if these McConnell Republicans have forgotten — or perhaps simply can’t come to grips with — the fact that Trump got 13 million more votes than any Republican candidate in history, and he got them before a single one of these politically motivated indictments had come down.
“MAGA Mike” still under attack: It almost seems as if the Democrats and their mainstream media brethren are kicking House Speaker Mike Johnson’s tires to see if he’d be a suitable villain once Donald Trump has departed the scene. No sense waiting until the last minute, right? While two human beings could hardly be less similar than The Mike and The Donald, that doesn’t mean the Left can’t find both of them deplorable. But, as Matt Walsh writes at The Daily Wire, the MSM is likely setting itself up for failure: “When Republicans selected their new Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, I was critical of the pick because of some of the stances Johnson has taken in the past. Primarily, I was concerned with his past support of the BLM narrative, and his expressions of outrage over the — to use his word — ‘murder’ of George Floyd. But since then, despite these serious qualms, the media have been doing everything in their power to make me like Speaker Johnson. They’re not doing this on purpose, of course. They are trying to make him look bad. But, as we know, nothing makes a person look better than when the media tries to make them look bad.” Yesterday, they complained that Johnson wasn’t wealthy enough. Today, these sickos are reporting that Johnson and his 17-year-old son “monitor each other’s porn intake.” It’s a vile smear. The truth, as Walsh notes, “is that Mike Johnson monitors his child’s internet usage to make sure that his child is not accessing harmful and objectionable material,” and that the app he uses allows his son to do the same thing. Sounds like smart and healthy childrearing — along with media Christophobia — to us.
American troops in the crosshairs: Our troops are certainly lucky to have Joe Biden as their commander-in-chief. Otherwise, our forces abroad might lack deterrence and might therefore come under repeated attack from rogue regimes who once feared us but now fart in our general direction. Oh, wait. As National Review reports, “At least 45 Americans claim to have been injured in recent attacks in Iraq and Syria, more than twice as many as the Pentagon previously disclosed, according to a new report.” NBC News reports that at least 38 separate attacks on our bases in Syria and Iraq since October 17 were mainly conducted by drones, mortars, and rockets. But that injury number, 45, seems a bit higher than earlier reports. And, as it turns out, it is higher. NR continues: “The Pentagon initially claimed that 21 service members suffered traumatic brain injuries as a result of two drone attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, but an additional 24 troops have since reported such injuries, NBC reported Monday, bringing the total number of injured troops to 45. That number may rise as more troops come forward.” Last we checked, traumatic brain injuries were serious matters. If Joe Biden can’t protect our troops, we might perhaps consider electing a commander-in-chief who can.
WaPo elevates Hamas: It isn’t much of a logical leap to assume that if the Gaza Strip is run by Hamas, then the Gaza Ministry of Health might also be run by Hamas. Remember: These are the same trustworthy folks who told Rashida Tlaib and the rest of us that “Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that.” Almost immediately, we learned that it wasn’t an airstrike, it didn’t hit a hospital, it didn’t kill hundreds, and Israel didn’t do it. But other than that, the reporting from the Gaza Health Ministry, and Tlaib, and the mainstream media was accurate. And yet, as if the lesson weren’t obvious enough, here we have The Washington Post, repeatedly taking the word of the GMH that the death toll there has now passed 10,000. “When we’re reporting on issues such as the death toll in the Israel-Gaza war, we use information provided from the Gaza Health Ministry (an agency of the Hamas-controlled government), the Israeli government, the United Nations, the World Health Organization, the U.S. State Department and other international agencies,” the Post’s disclaimer reads in part. NPR is similarly gullible. Alas, some folks never learn. We have no idea what the death toll in Gaza might be. But we do know this: Any other source is likely to be far more accurate than the Hamas Health Ministry.
Germany renaming Anne Frank kindergarten: One of the most famous victims of the Nazi Holocaust against the Jews was 15-year-old Anne Frank. Thanks to her diary, the world was given a record of her family’s harrowing experience hiding from the Nazis in Amsterdam, Netherlands, until they were arrested by the Gestapo in the summer of 1944 and sent to concentration camps where she and her sister would die months later. Fast-forward to 2023, and a German kindergarten that had been named in her honor has now dropped her name over woke concerns of wanting to be “more diverse.” As the kindergarten’s director, Linda Schichor, explained, “We wanted a name without a political background.” Political how — not wanting to upset neo-Nazis? Schichor further justified the decision by noting that immigrant families had “often never heard of her.” All the more reason to keep the name. Not recognizing history because some folks don’t know it is pretty much the antithesis of school. Indeed, there may be no better time than now to highlight Anne Frank, as anti-Semitism is rising across Europe thanks in large part to mass migration from the Middle East.
Axelrod suggests Biden should exit race: With the latest polling numbers showing Joe Biden effectively in a free fall and Donald Trump overtaking him in both national polling and, more significantly, in five battleground states, former Obama adviser David Axelrod called on Biden to exit the race. In a post on X, Axelrod wrote: “Only @JoeBiden can make this decision. If he continues to run, he will be the nominee of the Democratic Party. What he needs to decide is whether that is wise; whether it’s in HIS best interest or the country’s?” Axelrod included in his post a link to New York Times polling showing Trump with that battleground lead. While admitting that “it’s very late to change horses,” Axelrod added “a lot will happen in the next year that no one can predict & Biden’s team says his resolve to run is firm.” Contending that Biden’s “biggest liability” is his old age, Axelrod called for Biden to just be “proud of his accomplishments.” And warning that Trump is a “dangerous, unhinged demagogue,” he asserted that “the stakes of miscalculation here are too dramatic to ignore.”
Good news: victory over Rainbow Mafia: The state of Virginia agreed to a settlement in a lawsuit that had been raised by Christian wedding photographer Bob Updegrove over the state’s passage back in 2020 of a law requiring businesses to effectively celebrate same-sex marriage. Passed in the Commonwealth when Democrats controlled the statehouse and the governor’s mansion, the Virginia Values Act forbids businesses from discriminating against individuals based on their sexual orientation. Updegrove, represented by the Alliance Defending Freedom, successfully argued that Virginia’s law violated the Constitution. “Free speech is for everyone,” stated ADF counsel Johannes Widmalm-Delphonse. “As the Supreme Court recently affirmed in 303 Creative, the government can’t force Americans to say things they don’t believe.” The lawsuit pointed out that Virginia was effectively seeking to “regulate Bob’s views — that marriage should be between a man and a woman — out of existence.”
Climate cultists attack another famous work of art: A couple of Just Stop Oil climate cultists attacked another piece of museum art, this time using hammers to smash the glass protecting a painting by 17th-century artist Diego Velazquez known as the “Rokeby Venus.” The painting is estimated to be worth £72.5 million. The climate cultists then stood by, yelling: “Women did not get the vote by voting; it is time for deeds not words. It is time to Just Stop Oil.” They continued their rant by saying: “Politics is failing us. Politics failed women in 1914.” They then ridiculously and falsely asserted: “Millions will die due to new oil and gas licenses. Millions! If we love history, if we love art, and if we love our families, we must just stop oil.” The reality is that if these climate cultists actually got their way, and oil was just stopped, millions of people would die as a result.
Biden’s flippant flag flapping: One month ago today, 33 Americans were murdered in Israel by terrorists, but Joe Biden did not order flags to half-staff. Why?

Secular Jews have long been a voting bloc for Democrats, but the party’s recent anti-Semitism might encourage a sea change.
Thomas Gallatin
For many Jewish Americans, Hamas’s genocidal October 7 attack on hundreds of innocent Israelis provided a shocking reminder of the nature and genuine threat of the Palestinian jihadis. But an even bigger shock may have come from the support Hamas has received on college campuses and across major U.S. cities.
American Jews, who by large margins have for generations voted for Democrats and have supported the party’s complete embrace of radical leftist identity politics, suddenly find themselves classified as the oppressors and “colonizers” simply for defending Israel’s right to exist.
So shocking has the supposedly sudden rise of anti-Semitism been that some Jews are turning to the once-despised Fox News just to find news coverage that is not antagonistic toward Israel.
Will this sudden shock of reality open the eyes of American Jews to finally ditch their commitment to the Democrat Party? Will they finally see that the party most responsible for and with the longest history of promulgating racism, including anti-Semitism, is in fact the Democrat Party?
Unfortunately, for most of these Jewish Democrats, the answer is likely no.
While they clearly have been dismayed by the anti-Semitism on display across the country, the deeper problem is that the leftism undergirding the Democrat Party’s increasing embrace of Marxism is what many Jews themselves believe. Marxism is perhaps the inevitable result of embracing radical secularism.
“On issue after issue, Jewish voters march in lockstep with progressives,” observes veteran political analyst Don Feder. “In a June 2018 poll, 88% supported abortion on demand, 70% wanted stronger gun control, and 46% favored increased immigration, while only 17% wanted to see it decreased. Potential terrorists streaming across our border probably won’t put a dent in that thinking.”
The vast majority of Jews in America are non-religious. Their Jewishness is viewed more as an ethnicity and culture than as a commitment to Judaism.
Meanwhile, those Jews living in America who are committed to their Jewish faith, Orthodox and Hasidic Jews, already overwhelmingly vote Republican, similar to Evangelical Christians. Conservative Jews, like conservative Christians, hold their faith in preeminence, and therefore strongly favor holding to and maintaining the vision of America’s Founding Fathers for religious liberty and freedom of speech.
However, since October 7 is beyond any of the prior jihadi attacks directed at Israel over the years, as it was the bloodiest attack against Jews since the Holocaust, maybe — just maybe — some of America’s secular Jews have been awakened to the party and ideology from which the genuine threat to their existence comes. Maybe they will start listening to conservative media for a change and hear what we are actually saying instead of simply relying on Leftmedia propaganda. If enough of them start to do so, maybe their political minds can be changed.
One thing’s for certain: Republicans would welcome them with open arms.
Zuckerberg ignores another whistleblower warning about predators targeting children.
Emmy Griffin
The CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, has had a host of issues with his two social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram.
In 2021, there was the dubiously motivated Frances Haugen, who blew the whistle against Facebook to call out its hiding of internal statistics on misinformation. In 2021, another Meta whistleblower publicized the fact that Instagram knows just how harmful its platform is to the mental health and well-being of young people. In 2023, several states are suing the social media mother company. Earlier this summer, Wall Street Journal investigative reporters along with teams from Stanford University and the University of Massachusetts Amherst uncovered that Instagram’s algorithms actually connected pedophiles to one another and essentially created an Instagram pedo ring that is preying on the youngest social media users.
Now, Zuckerberg has a new whistleblower. A former Facebook employee and Instagram-hired consultant decided it was time to expose yet another horrific part of the way Instagram preys on teens. Arturo Bejar has worked on and off for the two Meta social media platforms since 2009. Bejar felt that he needed to intervene because his 14-year-old daughter and her friends had been the constant recipients of unsolicited and unwanted sexual advances from other users (many of whom were adults). When he brought this to the company’s attention, it hired him as a consultant to investigate.
Bejar’s findings were devastatingly sad. According to The Wall Street Journal, “One statistic stood out: One in eight users under the age of 16 said they had experienced unwanted sexual advances on the platform over the previous seven days.”
Armed with his findings, Bejar was confronted again and again with two main issues blocking any real change in Instagram policies. First, these unsolicited advances weren’t against community rules and guidelines … though a picture of the male sex organ should be against the pornography standards. Second, and perhaps the hardest hurdle, Meta’s internal statistics didn’t match Bejar’s findings.
This isn’t surprising because the process for obtaining those statistics is largely automated and no longer had people really reviewing flagged material. As the Journal explains: “The systems didn’t catch anywhere near the majority of banned content — only the majority of what the company ultimately removed. As a data scientist warned Guy Rosen, Facebook’s head of integrity at the time, Meta’s classifiers were reliable enough to remove only a low single-digit percentage of hate speech with any degree of precision.”
When you combine that mismatch in internal statistics versus Bejar’s with the egos of the people who created the automation that is supposed to catch this content, you run into a brick wall. The result? Kids are assaulted with grotesque propositions, and the only punishment for such lewd behavior is that the kid can block them.
Ultimately, the result of Bejar’s two-year consulting gig was empty promises from executives and nothing else happening. In fact, the team he worked with during that period were almost all let go during Meta’s downsizing.
While this author agrees with the sentiment that this is yet more egregious behavior on the part of Meta and Instagram against kids and should be stopped, two thoughts spring to mind. First, isn’t it the parents’ job to protect their children from being on social media in the first place? Even Biden’s Surgeon General Vivek Murthy issued a warning on that count.
Second, what’s the potential ulterior motive behind yet another whistleblower coming forward? If the motive is purely for Instagram to make changes to protect its youngest users, then good for Bejar. But Meta is now made infamous for how much it suppressed speech generally in favor of one political party’s agenda, not only during COVID but also during the 2020 elections. Is this another ploy to have the government regulate the social media platforms through a more sympathetic plight (i.e., “protect the children”)?
Every social media platform’s primary goal is to entice and keep users on the site for as long as possible. Big Tech giants collect that data and sell it to the highest bidder. They don’t care how old the person is; they are a commodity. Even if social media platforms were motivated to make a change, they may not really be capable of policing tens of millions of people. The issues are simply too large and too widespread. Perhaps the answer should be a shutdown of these platforms, but that genie is already out of the bottle.
If this is another attempt by the government to weasel its way into controlling these platforms (this time legitimately), they are going to run into the exact same issues. Control is the point for both entities.
The party that should have the most control in this situation, the parents, should get their kids off social media. That is a great place to start.
Recent events indicate that we haven’t heard the last of the least popular vice president in history.
Douglas Andrews
Kamala Harris is a busy veep. When she isn’t extolling the virtues of Venn diagrams or pondering the root causes of illegal immigration, she’s likely poring over the latest scholarly journal articles on artificial intelligence.
After all, if anyone can protect us from the systemic racism of a real-life HAL, it’s Kamala the AI Czar. Or perhaps you’d forgotten the administration’s announcement six months ago that Harris would spearhead its AI efforts? We didn’t. But that’s only because we covered it. Otherwise, we’d have forgotten all about Team Biden’s pledge to take “new actions that will further promote responsible American innovation in artificial intelligence and protect people’s rights and safety,” and about the administration’s “strong record of leadership” in the realm of technology. Uh-huh.
But then Kamala popped up at the American embassy in London last week to discuss not only the promise of AI but also its risks and its potential abuses. She intoned:
Consider, for example, when a senior is kicked off his healthcare plan because of a faulty AI algorithm. Is that not existential for him? When a woman is threatened by an abusive partner with explicit deepfake photographs? Is that not existential for her? When a young father is wrongfully imprisoned because of biased AI facial recognition. Is that not existential for his family? And when people around the world cannot discern fact from fiction because of a flood of AI-enabled myths and disinformation, I ask, is that not existential for democracy?
Ah, our democracy. New polling from AP/NORC shows that voters are increasingly worried about AI’s potential to wreak havoc on our elections. Hey, if the 2020 version was tragedy, 2024 may yet be farce.
These AI questions are good ones, well worth considering. But is Kackling Kamala the one who ought to be leading those discussions? The Spectator’s Angus Colwell, who was there at the embassy last week to take it all in, suspects not. He writes: “The whole speech, terrifyingly, showed that Harris hasn’t really got to grips with AI. She used the language she is comfortable with. She talked of making sure the benefits of AI would be shared ‘equitably,’ and that ‘history will show that this was the moment that we had the opportunity to lay the groundwork for the future of AI.’ She talked about civil rights, which is what she has done throughout her career, often very well too, but not everything is about civil rights. Sometimes the issue really is that this poorly programmed technology might kill all of us, everyone, damn our rights.”
Surely the administration can do better than Kamala Harris. Surely Joe Biden’s handlers have a better AI ambassador than this lightweight. But that’s not what this is about. This is about the ongoing effort to make Biden’s next-in-line seem serious, to burnish her credentials as the One Heartbeat Away Kid.
Earlier this year, when the Democrats began panicking not only about Biden’s unfitness for office but about the disastrous state of his succession plan, lefty columnist Matt Bai went against the grain and suggested that the administration lean into its Kamala Conundrum. “If I were giving Biden advice he surely doesn’t want,” Bai wrote, I’d tell him to steer into the storm rather than away from it, and run with Harris almost as if he expected her to take over. I’d make her a constant fixture at Biden’s side in public events and in the kind of extended interviews she’s mostly avoided doing.“
To be sure, Harris hasn’t been any such fixture. But rather than hide her away, they’ve been trotting her out from time to time, exposing the American people to her, as if to acclimate us to her, even inoculate us from her. It’s as if Biden’s handlers have decided that the answer to his vice president’s historically low approval numbers is to give us more cowbell.
We got a feevuh. And the only prescription … is more Kamala.
Lo and behold, it might be working. Digging into the crosstabs of a recent New York Times/Siena College poll, we find that when voters were asked who they’d choose for president if the options were between Trump and Harris, 47% of Michigan voters chose Trump, while 45% said Harris. That’s margin-of-error stuff. On the other hand, when the matchup is between Trump and Biden, Trump wins 48% to 43%. This is a noteworthy departure from the steady stream of polls that consistently show Harris to be less popular than Biden.
In recent months, it’s become crystal clear that the American people want Joe Biden to shuffle off to Rehoboth Beach and never come back. Even Barack Obama’s old hands are now coming out with the long knives. Trouble is, even if the Democrats can Vaudeville-hook Joe Biden off the stage, Kamala Harris isn’t inclined to follow along behind him. Which is why she’s our AI czar, even though she’s clearly over her head.
In a perverse way, it’s fitting: Our government’s approach to a technology that no less an expert than Elon Musk says is “potentially more dangerous than nukes” will be spearheaded at the national level by an artificial politician who lacks intelligence.
“Everything that human beings are doing to make it easier to operate computer networks is, at the same time, but for different reasons, making it easier for computer networks to operate human beings,” said technology historian George Dyson in his 1997 book Darwin Among the Machines.
That’s a chilling thought, and it’s made all the more so by this administration’s obvious unseriousness about AI.
The abrupt cancellation of a couple of massive wind projects bodes ill for the industry’s future.
Michael Swartz
Last year, the Biden administration fooled enough lawmakers to pass the deceitfully named Inflation Reduction Act, which was more of a Mini Green New Deal in disguise. Within it were the makings of, among other things, an administration plan to have 30 gigawatts of electricity harvested from wind power by the year 2030.
Prior to that, however, there were already several offshore wind projects in the planning stages. Two of the most important ones were slated for construction off the coast of New Jersey by the Danish company Ørsted — projects that were slated to create nearly 200 wind turbines over a vast 250-square-mile swath of the Atlantic Ocean in a territory that came as close as nine miles offshore. The first project, dubbed Ocean Wind I, had just been approved by the Biden administration in July despite local opposition.
But a funny thing happened on the way to green energy independence: Last week, Ørsted abruptly canceled the plans for Ocean Wind 1 and 2. Citing the uncertainty of a supply chain and high interest rates, the company pulled the plug on the project while still trying to get out of a $300 million guarantee promised to New Jersey if the project didn’t go forward. That’s small potatoes compared to the $4 billion Ørsted was writing off when it stopped working on the deal, though, and as Andrew Stuttaford writes at National Review, the Dutch company isn’t the only one feeling the heat: Siemens Energy and BP are also questioning their continued involvement in various projects, both here and abroad. Those companies again blame the economic, er, headwinds of supply chain issues and high interest rates, although Siemens also notes its competition from China.
The demise of Ocean Wind 1 and 2 also egged the face of New Jersey Democrat Governor Phil Murphy, who had just signed a deal that would have allowed Ørsted to keep its tax credits for the project rather than use them to give ratepayers relief. As The Wall Street Journal eloquently put it: “Phil Murphy huffed and he puffed, and a giant wind boondoggle blew the New Jersey Governor down. That’s the story of another failed green-energy project, as the follies keep being exposed.”
Yet continued failure of government-favored industries can only mean one thing: a bailout. Several Democrat governors with offshore wind-energy projects in their jurisdictions recently penned a letter to the Biden administration begging for assistance. “Without federal action,” complained the governors of Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island, “offshore wind deployment in the U.S. is at serious risk of stalling because states’ ratepayers may be unable to absorb these significant new costs alone. Absent intervention, these near-term projects are increasingly at risk of failing.” In other words, it’s time for taxpayers to start paying through the nose for “free” wind energy.
Kevin Dayaratna, a senior research fellow and data analyst for The Heritage Foundation, deserves the last word on the argument. “If wind power is as great as advocates claim it is, then it should not need a federal bailout. These discussions about potentially bailing out the wind industry merely illustrate the industry’s incapability of being a reliable form of energy that can stand on its own.”
These are rough seas for offshore wind, whether it’s the high costs, the lack of reliability (as fossil-fueled backup sources of power need to be on standby), or the intrusion of thousand-foot towers and blinking nighttime lights on oceanside vistas. And those most affected are the ones with the deepest opposition.
The question is: Will Joe Biden and his Green New Dealers take “no” for an answer?

US annualized debt interest payments crossed $1 trillion in October, according to a Bloomberg analysis.
The cost of debt has doubled in the past 19 months as federal deficits balloon.
High interest rates have made borrowing more expensive, adding pressure on US debt.
The estimated annualized interest payments on the US government debt pile topped $1 trillion at the end of October, according to data analyzed by Bloomberg Intelligence.
Calculated using US Treasury data, which discloses monthly outstanding debt balances and the average interest costs, last month’s annualized cost of debt marked a doubling over the past 19 months and was equivalent to 15.9% of the entire federal budget for fiscal year 2022.
“This high proportion of interest payments as a share of federal spending has precedent, as the portion before 2000 was over 14% in most years,” Bloomberg Intelligence analysts wrote in a note issued Tuesday. “The challenge for the government is tempering mandatory spending and trying to reduce the need to issue more debt. That’s the reason we see interest payments climbing even though we forecast lower Treasury yields.”
Cost of US debt pileBloomberg
October’s pace of payments suggests debt-service costs are rapidly accelerating amid ballooning federal deficits.
The federal government closed out its 2023 fiscal year in September having spent $659billion on interest payments, up from $476 billion in fiscal 2022 and $352 billion in fiscal 2021.
The Federal Reserve’s aggressive rate-hiking campaign has jacked up the cost of credit for borrowers across the economy, and the US government is no exception. Higher borrowing costs mean the government pays more interest on its debt.
And rising US debt interest payments create a vicious feedback loop: to attract new borrowers, yields on Treasurys have to rise to sweeten the deal, and higher yields aggravate already-high borrowing costs on total debt that now exceeds $33 trillion.
That’s bad news for Treasurys, which have suffered a historic collapse over the past few years.
According to market experts like Ed Yardeni, that steep sell-off in bonds was in part spurred by growing concerns over piling US debt, as “bond vigilantes” staged a comeback. And it didn’t help when the Fitch credit rating agency downgraded the US government’s credit rating this summer.
“Ever since the government debt was downgraded on August 1, people have been focusing on the deficit issue,” Yardeni said in an interview with CNBC in September. “If inflation kind of stays sticky here, I think we’re going to have a real problem, and my friends, the bond vigilantes, may need to come into force to convince politicians we’ve got to do something more fundamental about reducing the long-term outlook for the deficit.”
Last week Barack Obama announced that what Israel is doing is “intolerable” and Americans need “to look at the whole truth.”
Barack Hussein Obama also called for an independent state of Palestine – apparently with Hamas in a leadership role! After all, who is going to challenge them?
For those who have been paying attention, this is nothing new for Barack Obama. He has always put the Palestinians before Israel.
Doug Ross reported on Barack Obama back in 2008 when he was running for president.
Editor’s note: This was originally published more than 15 years ago — in March 2008 — after researching then-candidate Obama. Raised in a broken home, his stepfather was a Muslim. As Barack grew up, he increasingly consorted with supporters of Islamic terrorism. Exhibit A: his decades-long relationship with a Hamas-supporting pastor named Jeremiah Wright. Wright amplified the mission of Hamas: to eradicate the Jews. He gave such a prominent terrorist figure publicity in his popular church newsletter. Wright also befriended the likes of Louis Farrakhan and Muammar Gaddafi. As one pundit summarized it, “Obama marinated in two decades of Jew hatred” at Wright’s church. Maybe someday we’ll get to the bottom of Obama’s zeal for funding the extermination of Jews.
1: In July 2007 Obama’s friend and mentor — Rev. Jeremiah Wright — published a Hamas manifesto in the Trinity Church newsletter. Front and center on the “Pastor’s Page” was a hateful tome written by a prominent Hamas official.
Our “militant” stance cannot by itself be the disqualifying factor… I am forever asked to concede the recognition of Israel’s putative “right to exist” as a necessary precondition to discussing grievances, and to renounce positions found in the Islamic Resistance Movement’s charter of 1988…
Why should any Palestinian “recognize” the monstrous crime carried out by Israel’s founders and continued by its deformed modern apartheid state…?
Regarding terror apologists, Obama changed his views “to get Jewish donors and votes”
2: Debbie Schussel highlights Obama’s attendance of a 1998 “Arab community event”, presumably a fundraiser for the Palestinian cause.
…Pictures on Abunimah’s site, posted above, show Obama and wife, Michelle, sitting next to Said and engaging in conversation. Abunimah, in a must-read article, says the Senator has since “changed” his proclaimed views from those he expressed privately, in order to get Jewish donors and votes.
“Obama’s about-face is not surprising. He is [doing what] is necessary to get elected…”
3: Ali Abunimah, writing at Electronic Intifida, states that Obama is shielding his true feelings regarding Israel from the public.
…The last time I spoke to Obama was in the winter of 2004 at a gathering in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood. He was in the midst of a primary campaign to secure the Democratic nomination for the United States Senate seat he now occupies. But at that time polls showed him trailing.
As he came in from the cold and took off his coat, I went up to greet him. He responded warmly, and volunteered, “Hey, I’m sorry I haven’t said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race. I’m hoping when things calm down I can be more up front.” He referred to my activism, including columns I was contributing to the The Chicago Tribune critical of Israeli and US policy, “Keep up the good work!”…
…If disappointing, given his historically close relations to Palestinian-Americans, Obama’s about-face is not surprising. He is merely doing what he thinks is necessary to get elected and he will continue doing it as long as it keeps him in power…
Sen. Obama has caught criticism for pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel statements and sentiments before.
In March of 2007, Sen. Obama was criticized for saying that “Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinians.” Obama was also criticized for stocking his campaign with several controversial advisors including Zbigniew Brzezinski, Robert Malley, Samantha Power and Susan Rice.
Nation of Islam staffers reportedly serve key roles on Obama’s Campaign
4: As first reported by Schussel, Obama campaign insiders indicate that the presidential candidate employs various members of the virulently racist “Nation of Islam” as staffers in sensitive positions.
Obama’s sudden aversion to [the Nation of Islam] and Farrakhan is belied by the fact that Obama employed and continues to employ several Farrakhan acolytes in high positions on his Illinois and U.S. Senate campaign and office staffs…
…the creation of a wall dividing the two nations is yet another example of the neglect of this Administration in brokering peace…
As a reminder: the security fence has saved the lives of countless civilians as the number of terror attacks has dropped to almost zero. After suffering innumerable suicide bombings resulting in more than 900 dead and many thousands injured, the security fence has inarguably prevented the slaughter of civilians.
Wright recognized early on his terror apologia could cause Obama problems
The Israelis have illegally occupied Palestinian territories for almost 40 years now. It took a divestment campaign to wake the business community up concerning the South Africa issue. Divestment has now hit the table again as a strategy to wake the business community up and to wake Americans up concerning the injustice and the racism under which the Palestinians have lived because of Zionism… Divesting dollars from businesses and banks that do business with Israel is the new strategy being proposed to wake the world up concerning the racism of Zionism…
Update: Regarding Trinity United and Hamas, Scott at Powerline notices a startling admission.
Perhaps most revealing is the church bulletin’s own subhead over the column: “An official of the movement describes its goals for all of Palestine.” You know, “all of Palestine,” including Israel, whose right to exist Hamas denies and which it seeks to “liberate” for Islam.
Maybe someday we’ll get to the bottom of Obama’s Jew-hatred.
CAMBRIDGE, MA — The President of Harvard University, Claudine Gay, announced today that the university has installed Jew detectors at all entrances.
“This is a step in the right direction,” President Gay told reporters. “It might not be the last step. We are always looking for a final solution to the Jewish problem on campus.”
The move to install Jew detectors at all entrances comes amidst a wave of anti-semitic attacks on campus. The hope in using the detector system is that, once detected, Jewish students can be safely concentrated away in a location or camp where they will be free to be Jewish away from the other students.
The detectors, which claim to be capable of detecting a Jew with 99.99% accuracy, are designed to pick up the most blatant Zionism, basic ethnic markers, and even the slightest trace of disgust over the targeted murder and kidnapping of children for the noble cause of freeing Palestine.
“The Jew detector systems we have installed show our resolve in tackling bigotry and keeping everybody safe while maintaining our commitment to free expression and tolerance,” Gay said in her announcement.

The House Judiciary Committee released a report Monday further shedding light on the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) involvement with an anti-“disinformation” group that worked to censor content surrounding the 2020 election.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a DHS subdivision, helped create the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP), an “information exchange” between researchers, election officials and government agencies established in 2020 to identify and research online election misinformation. However, the EIP routinely flagged content for social media companies to review and suppress with CISA’s awareness, according to the committee’s report.
The House Judiciary Committee released emails showing communications between CISA officials directing censorship efforts of certain content. Despite CISA not directly reporting content to EIP, it did have full “visibility” to what was being reported.
In September 2020 an email from CISA shows Twitter took “action on one of the tweets in [an EIP] ticket,” according to the report. Former CISA Director Chris Krebs contacted Stanford Internet Observatory Director Alex Stamos to inquire about what occurred “around this event around the time the content was taken down.”
“Krebs CISA is texting Stamos with some regularity,” EIP members asserted, according to the report.
Using the EIP, groups including CISA, the Democratic National Committee and the NAACP, could submit “tickets” reporting possible election misinformation, which EIP would then pass on to social media companies following an investigation. The EIP released a 2021 report describing its endeavors to address misinformation in the 2020 election, revealing it had shared hundreds of posts with online platforms, with “35% of the URLs we shared with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube […] either labeled, removed, or soft blocked.”
Days before the 2020 election, a CISA official contacted Twitter flagging a post that had been reported by local officials, emails show. The official referenced a ticket number from EIP’s “Jira” system for the flagged content, despite CISA personnel not being allowed to access the system.
On Nov. 5, 2020, The Center for Internet Security (CIS), a nonprofit financed by CISA that was key in channeling “disinformation” reports to social media platforms, emailed CISA, EIP and Facebook to flag “misinformation,” according to the report. The correspondence appears to suggest the federal government had “direct knowledge” of content reported to EIP, despite assurances of its independence.
CISA’s emails to social media companies flagging content for them included a disclaimer that “DHS affirms that it neither has nor seeks the ability to remove what information is made available on social media platforms” but “information may also be shared with law enforcement or intelligence,” according to the report.
“While CISA did not directly report content to the EIP, CISA had complete visibility on what was being reported to the EIP and at the same time was reporting the same content directly to the social media platforms,” the report says. “While CISA had ‘no official role,’ CISA knew what reports were being submitted to the EIP, received Jira ticket reports and notifications via email, had personnel with direct access to the EIP ticketing system, and was in direct contact with the social media platforms.”
“The federal government and universities pressured social media companies to censor true information, jokes, and political opinions,” the report asserts.
CISA and DHS did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

A month ago today, Hamas launched a barbaric attack on civilians in Israel. When the news broke, who would have guessed that such horrific atrocities would provoke rising animosity, not against the perpetrators but against the people they seek to eradicate? So why is antisemitism rising?
Cornell University canceled all classes recently after a student was arrested for allegedly threatening violent attacks against Jewish students at the college. There has been an increasing police presence on campus since the threats were made.
After Harvard alumnus and hedge fund manager Bill Ackman met with students and faculty last week, he described antisemitism on campus as “much worse” than he realized and said, “Jewish students are being bullied, physically intimidated, spat on, and in several widely-disseminated videos of one such incident, physically assaulted.” He called on Harvard’s president to take immediate steps to reduce antisemitism on campus.
The Anti-Defamation League has documented a nearly 400 percent rise in antisemitic incidents across the US since October 7. As part of this escalation, it reports fifty-four antisemitic incidents at American universities.
What explains this surge in antisemitism on our college campuses?
Protests against Israel at America’s universities are nothing new. For example, a movement to “boycott, divest from, and sanction” Israel has been popular on college campuses since it was launched in 2005. Opposition to Israel escalated after Hamas’s invasion on October 7 even before Israel began a military response. In the weeks since, such opposition has become deafening.
In response, I wrote a website white paper yesterday explaining in detail two factors involved in this complex issue.
First, I responded to the claim that Israel is an “occupying colonizer” who stole its land from its rightful Palestinian owners. I noted:
The original owners of the land were Canaanites from whom Jews conquered the region under Joshua. Their descendants now live in Lebanon and bear no genealogical relationship to the Palestinians.
Present-day Palestinians are descendants of the Arabs who first conquered the land in AD 640, not the Philistines for whom the region is named. These Arab Muslims took the land from the Jews and Christians who lived there prior to their conquest.
Since the time of Joshua, there has always been a Jewish presence in the land; Jews repopulated it alongside Arab Palestinians in recent centuries.
An autonomous nation called Palestine would have been created by the United Nations in 1947, but Arab leaders rejected it.
Thus, Israel did not steal the land from its rightful Palestinian owners. If anything, the Palestinians’ ancestors stole it from the Jews who were there prior to AD 640.
Second, I addressed the claim on college campuses that Israel is oppressing the Palestinian people with its military response to Hamas.
I noted that Hamas is using the Palestinian population as human shields, hiding its soldiers and weapons in tunnels beneath hospitals, schools, and mosques. Just one such tunnel requires enough construction supplies to build eighty-six homes, seven mosques, six schools, or nineteen medical clinics. In addition, Hamas continues to steal fuel, medical supplies, and provisions intended for the civilian population.
Israel must respond to Hamas’s atrocities in order for its citizens to be able to live in their own land. However, the cease-fire being demanded on college campuses would only enable Hamas to strengthen its position in Gaza. As the Wall Street Journalnoted, “No other country on earth would agree to the terms of defensive engagement that much of the world wants to impose on Israel.”
“His dominion is an everlasting dominion”
As you can see, two simple but erroneous concepts—that Israel is an occupying colonizer and oppressor of the Palestinians—are inflaming opposition to Jews on college campuses and across America today. They illustrate the fact that ideas, whether right or wrong, change the world.
I have visited Cuba ten times over the years and grieve for the suffering of its people under the tragic ideology of Communism. I have visited Yad Vashem, the holocaust museum in Jerusalem, many times over the years and grieve each time as it explains Hitler’s claim that the Jews were to blame for Germany’s decline and must be eradicated.
I also grieve for our nation as the intellectual cancer of moral relativism continues to metastasize across our culture. C. S. Lewis warned in his 1943 work, Abolition of Man, that abandoning objective values based on unchanging principles would lead to our decline and “abolition” as humans. We are watching his prophecy come to pass more and more each day.
This is why God’s admonition is so urgent: “These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace” (Zechariah 8:16). Said differently, we are to “contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3).
The best way you and I can do this is to know Christ and make him known. When Jesus returns, he will be “given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him” (Daniel 7:14a). This is because “his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed” (v. 14b).
Accordingly, let’s make these words from the Book of Common Prayer our intercession today:
Lord Jesus Christ, you stretched out your arms of love on the hard wood of the cross that everyone might come within reach of your saving embrace. So clothe us in your Spirit that we, reaching forth our hands in love, may bring those who do not know you to the knowledge and love of you, for the honor of your Name.

Demands to censor speech with which Democrats disagree now “defines the party,” according to a legal expert, George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley.
He’s not only testified before Congress multiple times on constitutional issues, he’s represented members court, and publishes his commentary at JonathanTurley.org.
His latest column cites the fact that Democrat congressional candidate Will Rollins in California “is pledging to push for greater censorship to stop those ‘profiting by spreading division based on lies.'”
“Of course, the former assistant U.S. attorney suggests that he will know who is lying and who should be allowed to speak freely,” Turley noted.
“Rollins pledged to stop people saying things that ‘erode our democracy,'” Turley noted, citing Rollins’ plans to target tech platforms that “do not yield to demands for censorship.”
Law Professor Jonathan Turley testifies before the House Judiciary Committee Dec. 4, 2019 (screenshot)
“He is not alone in such efforts. Democratic members caused a firestorm previously by writing to cable carriers like AT&T to ask why they are still allowing people to watch FOX News. Rollins promises to crack down on ‘propaganda networks to protect the public’s right to be informed.’ He does not identify which networks would be targeted but the assumption is that it is not MSNBC. (For full disclosure, I am a legal analyst on Fox News). However, he wants ramped up penalties for anything that he considers ‘harmful lies and conspiracy theories,'” Turley wrote.
The difficulty, however, is that, “one person’s ‘conspiracy theory’ is another person’s news.”
Turley explained, “As someone who was raised in a liberal, politically active Democratic family in Chicago, Democrats once championed free speech as a touchstone of the party. Now it is often treated as an existential threat to democracy.”
He continued, “President Joe Biden is now the most anti-free speech administration since John Adams. His administration is unabashedly and unrepentantly pursuing the silencing of those with opposing views.”
Turley noted, “The concerning aspect of Rollins’ campaign is that censorship was largely used as a political tactic in Washington to silence critics and opposing views. It is now an actual political campaign. It shows how speech regulation has become popular with the rank-and-file in the party. It now defines the party.”
He said it should be a warning about the “breakdown of democratic values. Limiting free speech is akin to cutting off oxygen to the body politic. It produces atrophy in a system, the breakdown of our political tissues.”
Former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan joined Brian Kilmeade on Fox News to discuss the border crisis brought on by Joe Biden’s broken policies.
Kilmeade remarked that illegal immigrants “walk up by the thousands into our country.”
“In the last year and a half we got nearly 30,000 Chinese nationals, most of them military-age males,” Homan warned. “That just scares the hell out of everybody.”
He continued, “The numbers keep growing. This administration has the same data points you and I had, you’d think that — China is not our friend, they’re creating a precursor to fentanyl. They’re selling to the criminal cartels in Mexico that have killed over 110,000 Americans. But this president hasn’t held China accountable.”
“I’ve done this job for over three decades. I’ve never seen numbers anywhere near this. This is drastic. This is the biggest national security failure that I’ve seen in this country since 911. This is historic.”
Kilmeade added, “And they can’t tell you how many Hamas and Hezbollah or Islamic Jihad are also coming across our border. Wait till things start blowing up.”
Kilmeade then asked Homan if he would be willing to serve in the Trump administration in 2024 if he wins the election.
Homan’s response was direct, “I promised President Trump when he announced that if he goes back, I go back. And I’m going to run the biggest deportation operation this country’s ever seen because these millions of people being released in this country, nine out of 10 will get an order of removal based on immigration court data.”
“A judge orders them to be removed. We’re going to find them and we’re gonna remove them,” he continued. “If there’s no consequence, we can’t fix the border. We’re going to have a consequence in the Trump administration.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is up for re-election in the spring, announced on Monday that he has suspended his country’s 2024 election.
Zelnskyy said in a speech to his country’s citizens that due to its ongoing war against Russia, it is “not the right time for elections.”
While he had previously not ruled out the possibility of an election in March, The Hill reported, Monday he called for Ukrainian citizens to support him.
To wrap up his video address to his country, he said: “And finally, the waves of any politically divisive things must stop. We must realize that now is the time of defense, the time of the battle that determines the fate of the state and people, not the time of manipulations, which only Russia expects from Ukraine.
“I believe that now is not the right time for elections.”
Zelenskyy, who was elected to his first five-year term in 2019, concluded that election season for now is a time for “unity.”
“And if we need to put an end to a political dispute and continue to work in unity, there are structures in the state that are capable of putting an end to it and giving society all the necessary answers,” he said. “So that there is no room left for conflicts and someone else’s game against Ukraine.”

He did not say when another election would be held.
Ukraine is currently under a state of martial law and has been since the February 2022 invasion of its territory by Russia.
The official cancellation of Ukraine’s 2024 presidential election comes days after Zelenskyy told NBC’s Kristen Welker during an interview that he wields “a lot of power” amid his country’s ongoing war.
On “Meet the Press,” Ukraine’s president said his country’s nearly two-year war has not affected his resolve.
He also used coarse language when speaking of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“We are not ready to give our freedom to this f***ing terrorist, Putin,” he said.
Legacy media reporters across the West are failing the public by refusing to disclose the bias that is coming out in reports regarding Hamas’ terrorism against Israel, and the Middle East democracy’s response, according to a new report.
The problem is that the media, without qualification or explanation, is quoting Hamas’ narrative on what is developing in Gaza.
That organization said, “As Israel’s genocide in the Gaza Strip entered its 17th day today, the death toll climbed to over 5,085, according to latest reports.”
But the “source” was the “Palestinian Information Centre,” which likely gets its messaging from Hamas.
And then from the BBC, which said, “More than 5,000 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed in air and artillery strikes carried out by the Israeli military in response, according to Gaza’s health ministry.”
Similar claims came from the Washington Post, CNBC, The Guardian, Euronews and the New York Times, the report said.
“It’s also worth noting that none of the [examples] remind readers about the general unreliability of information coming out of Gaza because it is so tightly controlled by a ruthless terrorist organization that swiftly prevents reporters from contradicting its narrative,” the report informed.
The report notes that the ethical code of the International Federation of Journalists (representing 600,000 media professionals from 140 countries) “specifically requires that ‘urgency…in the dissemination of information shall not take precedence over the verification of facts, sources…’”
But reporters in those legacy media organizations haven’t been doing that, the report said.
They, instead, “often fail to remind readers of several crucial facts relevant to the reliability of information sourced from Hamas.”
Why?
“There are no checks and balances on Hamas from any governmental or political institution. It is a de facto Islamist dictatorship with a tyrannical rule akin to that of the Taliban,” the report said.
Further, “There is no freedom of speech or assembly under Hamas in Gaza.”
Previously, Human Rights Watch concluded: “…the PA and Hamas use detention to punish critics and deter them and others from further activism. In detention, security forces routinely taunt, threaten, beat, and force detainees into painful stress positions for hours at a time.”
In 2019 there were protests in Gaza, and Hamas’ security forces “moved quickly to quell the protests that brought hundreds of people into the streets in at least four camps and towns across Gaza this month to demand better living conditions. The security forces beat demonstrators, raided homes and detained organizers, journalists and participants, about 1,000 people in all.”
And, the report said, “There is no freedom of the press in Gaza.”
In fact, it said journalists’ families have been threatened when there appear “stories unfavorable to Hamas.”
But the downfall to the reporting is that, “Hamas’ control of the Western press is particularly relevant when it comes to reporting anything contrary to Hamas’ preferred narrative in any conflict with Israel, given how much the Western media obsesses over that conflict,” the report said.
The red flags are waving because of the “stark contrast to the information provided by Israeli government officials, hospitals, and other sources.”
One recent example was Hamas’ swift claim of 500 dead from an explosion at a Gaza hospital.
Turns out it was a Hamas rocket, and it hit a parking lot, not the hospital.
But it was used by Hamas to “turn global public opinion against Israel,” the report said.
And Al Jazeera, Associated Press and Time bought into the lie.
“None of these mentioned that the casualty count couldn’t be independently verified, or that initial death tolls reported from a war zone are notoriously unreliable – especially when coming from a cynical source like Hamas,” the analysis said.
The New York Times released a poll over the weekend showing Trump winning an Electoral Landslide- as he is winning almost every close battleground state. What exactly does this mean?
First, of course, it’s great news for President Trump. Liberals can’t claim it’s “fake news” or “a biased poll.” Because their God is the New York Times. They worship the NY Times. They bow down when the NY Times arrives each morning.
Rich liberals marry off their daughters with NY Times’ newspaper leading to the alter.
They despise the Bible, but they treat everything they read in the NY Times as “gospel.”
They question the US Constitution, but anything in the New York Times cannot be questioned.
So, if the NY Times says Trump is winning, then Trump is winning. A fact’s a fact!
Secondly, the trouncing gets worse when you hear the NY Times/Siena poll shows Trump winning by landslides on the 3 issues that matter most at this moment in time- the economy, immigration and national security.
Can you even imagine how this shatters a liberal’s world? They believed the lies they’ve read for years in the NY Times. They have read hundreds of times that Trump is “the most hated, unpopular president ever.”
They’ve read that Trump’s “a dictator, tyrant, racist, sexist, homophobe, Islamophobe, Nazi, KKK, white supremacist.” And he’s “an election denier.”
They’ve read thousands of times that Trump’s a criminal. Heck, he’s been indicted four times and counting. He’s on trial now in New York City on a separate case accusing him of earning his fortune by committing fraud.
And after all of that…Trump is poised to win an electoral landslide? Holy crap! This must shatter the world of liberals.
They’ve got Trump right where they want him. They’re thought process went something like this, “Trump’s never been more ‘unpopular.’ Everyone now knows he’s a criminal and fraud. He’s about to be stripped of his assets. He’s about to go to prison for life.”
And yet Trump’s winning big!
Trump’s actually kicking the ass of your Democrat party and your president! And who says so? It’s the trustworthy liberal bible- the New York Times.
What’s next? Will the New York Times admit the economy is in shambles and Bidenomics is a massive failure?
Phones are ringing this morning at psychiatrist offices all over the New York metropolitan area. Liberals are screaming, “HELP- I’m on a ledge!”
Third, here’s the most important thing this poll represents. This New York Times poll is the Democrat establishment’s way of informing Democrats across America that, “Biden has to go.” Democrats are openly throwing brain-dead, dementia-laden, diaper-wearing, corruption-magnet Biden and his mentally-ill, crack- addicted, hooker-addicted son under the bus.
Biden is finished. This New York Times poll is the blinking Vegas neon sign.
Democrat leaders, strategists and pollsters now know they cannot beat Trump unless they dump Biden. So, now the process begins. The only question remaining is who replaces Biden- Michelle Obama, or Gavin Newsom?
Here’s my theory- It’s going to be BOTH.
It will either be Michelle on top, with Gavin as VP. Or Gavin on top, with Michelle as VP.
Michelle on top of the ticket makes sense because she has the Obama brand name…with Gavin as VP, because he can raise a ton of money from all the filthy rich liberals in California.
Or Gavin on top because he actually wants the job…he’s desperate for the job…he’s waited his whole life for the job…he’s clearly running a stealth campaign for president right now…
While Michelle who clearly enjoys her private life and doesn’t want the job of president, makes sense as VP because even in the VP slot she puts the Obama brand name on the ticket…she solidifies Democrat support from women and minorities……and her main role will be to campaign 24/7 with her hubby Barack by her side in blue and battleground states- the fun part of the job.
Once elected as VP, Michelle gets to enjoy all the fame, celebrity worship, and legacy, but with none of the hard work, heavy lifting, or stress from making unpopular decisions. All Vice Presidents do once elected is sit behind the president at State of the Union speeches…and travel around the world representing America- mostly at funerals for world leaders.
Democrats, Gavin Newsom, Michelle Obama and China all get a win-win.
Psychopath Gavin fulfills his lifelong dream. Michelle gets all the perks of celebrity and none of the work. The Democrat party keeps control of the presidency and therefore gets to finish the job of destroying America, American exceptionalism and capitalism. And China becomes the dominant world power.
Unless…the one thing Democrats never even considered… the impossible becomes REALITY…
What if Trump really is that popular?
What if America blames not just Biden, but all Democrats for the terrible mess America has become?
What if Americans now finally understand and appreciate how good things were with Trump as president?
What if all these false indictments and the weaponization of government have turned Trump into a martyr and hero?
What if Trump is unstoppable and unbeatable no matter who the Democrats run against him?
What if Democrats have created such a monster that even Michelle and Gavin can’t beat Trump- with a rigged election?
Buckle your seats belts. We’re about to find out!

With the the third Republican presidential debate set for Wednesday, the Big Three broadcast networks have abandoned their coverage of former President Donald Trump’s Republican presidential challengers. Instead, their evening newscasts have assumed the challenger role themselves, pounding the frontrunner with overwhelmingly (93%) negative coverage.
Presidential election campaigns are a time for a party to showcase its ideas, but the networks are also suppressing Republicans’ policy agenda in favor of overwhelming coverage of the legal cases brought against Trump by various Democratic prosecutors. Less than seven percent of the GOP coverage has been about the issues (27 minutes), vs. 320 minutes (77%) spent on Trump’s legal situation.
The Media Research Center analyzed all coverage of the Republican presidential candidates and campaign on the ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts from August 1 through October 31. (Our analysis of coverage from January 1 through July 31 can be found here.) Key findings:
■ TV’s Blackout of Trump Rivals: In the last three months, the Big Three evening newscasts spent 380 minutes discussing frontrunner Donald Trump. That’s 12 times more than his nearest rival, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (30 minutes), and demonstrates how the media are looking past Trump’s GOP challengers to focus solely on the frontrunner.
From January to July, Trump received a whopping 74% of all GOP candidate airtime. That increased to a staggering 87% of all candidate coverage in the last three months. The networks allotted just 14 minutes to former Vice President Mike Pence, and even less to businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (4 minutes each), former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley (2 minutes), and South Carolina Senator Tim Scott (just one minute).
None of the other candidates received even 60 seconds of airtime during the three months we examined.
The gap was even more pronounced when you focus just on October’s news. That month, Trump garnered 82 minutes of coverage, vs. two minutes for Pence (on the occasion of his October 28 withdrawal from the race) with mere seconds allotted to the other candidates. Overall, Trump received 97% of the coverage of the GOP field in October, as the Big Three pretty much pulled the plug on his challengers.
■ No Issues, Just Democratic Indictments: There’s no way the networks could have avoided covering Donald Trump’s legal issues, but the degree to which they’ve crowded out the normal discourse of presidential campaigns is extraordinary. In the past three months, evening news viewers heard 131 minutes about special counsel Jack Smith’s January 6 case against Trump. Another 112 minutes was spent on Fulton County Democratic D.A. Fani Willis’s case about post-election activity in Georgia, while Democratic New York Attorney General Letitia James’s civil fraud case against Trump and his company garnered 46 minutes of airtime.
Along with other cases that received less attention, the evening newscasts devoted a total of 320 minutes to Trump’s legal cases, or 84 percent of all of the former President’s coverage during these months.
Compare that to these same broadcasts’ coverage of 2024 policy issues. Combined, the networks spent a scant 5 minutes, 25 seconds on the GOP candidates’ views on the economy; 4 minutes, 55 seconds on abortion; and 4 minutes 16 seconds on all foreign policy issues combined. Along with other policy areas, viewers heard a total of just 27 minutes of campaign-related coverage of the issues.
And the trend away from substance is getting worse: Looking just at October, the networks devoted 84 minutes to the Republican field, but only about two minutes of that time was devoted to policy: 72 seconds on immigration, and 57 seconds on the candidates’ reaction to the Israel-Hamas war.
■ Blasting Trump With Bad Press: Four years ago, one could argue that the not-so-secret weapon that put Joe Biden in the White House was the media’s unrelenting hostility towards President Trump. From his first months in office in 2017, throughout 2018 and 2019, and during the 2020 election year, the networks assaulted Trump with the most hostile press coverage any U.S. president has ever been forced to deal with.
While the unprecedented attacks from the press seem not to have hurt Trump’s standing with conservative or Republican voters (it probably contributed to GOP voters’ negative opinions about the media), the heavy negative coverage undoubtedly damaged his reputation among independent voters and helped energize liberal and Democratic voters to turn out against him.
With the 2024 campaign well underway, history is repeating itself: The networks are once again hitting Donald Trump with the worst press ever faced by a leading politician.
To calculate spin, we tallied all explicitly positive and negative comments about the candidates from anchors, reporters, and non-partisan sources such as experts, voters. (See “Methodology” below.) From August 1 to October 31, we tallied just 41 positive statements about Donald Trump, vs. 511 negative statements, for a negative spin score of 93%. This compares to 90% negative during the first seven months of the year.
In the three months of coverage we examined, there were not enough evaluative comments about any of the remaining candidates to compute a spin score for them. As a group, there were 13 positive comments vs. 12 negative ones — 52% positive coverage — but the networks’ real attitude towards the other candidates was utter indifference.
In a little over three months, Iowa’s Republican voters will start the process of selecting the party’s 2024 president nominee. But a look at campaign coverage so far shows that the networks have already moved beyond the GOP presidential race, ignoring Trump’s challengers to take aim at the frontrunner as they did in 2020.
It’s called “election interference.”
++++++
METHODOLOGY: We calculated the spin of the GOP primary candidates by tallying all clearly positive and negative statements from non-partisan or unaffiliated sources — in other words, reporters, anchors, voters as well as Republicans not linked to any of the campaigns. We excluded evaluative comments from the GOP candidates, their campaign staffs and identified surrogates, as well as all Democratic sources. In this way, we could eliminate the partisan back-and-forth of the campaign, in order to isolate the spin being imparted by the networks themselves. It also excludes “horse race assessments” about the candidates’ prospects for winning or losing.
JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon.Jeenah Moon/Reuters
Wars in Ukraine and the Middle East have pushed the world to the brink of a grave crisis, Jamie Dimon said.
“Geopolitical matters are very serious – arguably the most serious since 1938,” he told the Sunday Times.
There’s no point worrying about the market at times like these, the JPMorgan boss added.
Conflicts in Europe and the Middle East risk triggering the most serious global crisis since the Second World War, Jamie Dimon has warned.
The JPMorgan Chase chairman and CEO said in an interview with the UK’s Sunday Times that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and Israel’s war with Hamas had made the world more “scary and unpredictable”.
“Here in the US, we continue to have a strong economy,” he told the outlet, likely referring to the country’s surging GDP growth and resilient jobs market. “We still have a lot of fiscal and monetary stimulus in the system.”
“But these geopolitical matters are very serious – arguably the most serious since 1938,” Dimon added, referring to the year Nazi Germany annexed parts of Czechoslovakia and stepped up its persecution of Jewish people.
Financial markets have largely shrugged off the conflict in the Middle East, one month after Hamas’ strike on Israel.
The S&P 500 gauge of US stocks has climbed 1% since October 7, with investors cheered by the idea that the Federal Reserve probably won’t raise interest rates again. The MSCI World Index, which tracks global equities, is also up around 1% over the same period.
Meanwhile, Brent and West Texas Intermediate oil prices briefly flared up after the Hamas attack on the fear that major producer Iran could become embroiled in a broader conflict, but the two benchmarks have since slid back to pre-war levels.
Dimon, who heads up the US’s largest bank, said it would be futile to worry about markets when the world is on the brink of such a grave crisis.
“What’s happening… right now is the most important thing for the future of the world — freedom, democracy, food, energy, immigration,” he told the Sunday Times. “We diminish that importance when you say, ‘What’s it going to do to the market?'”
“Markets will be fine. Markets can deal with stuff. Markets go up and down. Markets fluctuate,” Dimon added.
This isn’t the first time the JPMorgan boss has warned the conflict in the Middle East is a threat to the world economy.
“This may be the most dangerous time the world has seen in decades,” he said in a press release after the bank reported its quarterly earnings last month, pointing to rising geopolitical friction, the Fed’s tightening campaign, and the US government’s mountain of debt.
