His Kindness and Covenant | VCY

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.Isaiah 54:10

One of the most delightful qualities of divine love is its abiding character. The pillars of the earth may be moved out of their places, but the kindness and the covenant of our merciful Jehovah never depart from His people. How happy my soul feels in a firm belief of this inspired declaration! The year is almost over, and the years of my life are growing few, but time does not change my Lord. New lamps are taking the place of the old; perpetual change is on all things, but our Lord is the same. Force overturns the hills, but no conceivable power can affect the eternal God. Nothing in the past, the present, or the future can cause Jehovah to be unkind to me.

My soul, rest in the eternal kindness of the Lord, who treats thee as one near of kin. Remember also the everlasting covenant. God is ever mindful of it—see that thou art mindful of it too. In Christ Jesus the glorious God has pledged Himself to thee to be thy God and to hold thee as one of His people. Kindness and covenant-dwell on these words as sure and lasting things which eternity itself shall not take from thee.

Remember Who You Are | Daily Thoughts about God.

A lot of days don’t you feel like Simba in The Lion King?

Simba’s evil uncle (the enemy) has led him to believe that he’s alone in the world, he has failed in such a way that he can never be forgiven, and he no longer has a purpose or identity. Simba believes that he has to live out his days in the jungle as a failure. One night as he sits by a lake, he hears his father’s voice say, “Remember who you are.” Suddenly Simba sees a reflection in the water of who he truly is, a strong, courageous lion who is the rightful heir to the kingdom. He receives his true identity and takes off to fulfill his destiny of restoring life to the kingdom.

Our loving Father gave us hundreds of Scriptures of who we are in Christ. Over and over He is saying through the Word,

“Remember who you are. You are a reflection of Me.”

Take some time to gaze into the Living Water and see the reflection of who you are.

You are Abba’s child.
Galatians 4:6 Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.”
He is Abba, Father.
Romans 8:15 You received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”

You are on the winning side.
Colossians 2:15 Having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
He is the victorious warrior.
Exodus 15:3 The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name.

You are crowned with love and compassion.
Psalm 103:4 … who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion…
He is a glorious crown.
Isaiah 28:5 The Lord Almighty will be a glorious crown.

You are rich in his grace.
2 Corinthians 8:9 You know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor…
He is God of all grace.
1 Peter 5:10 The God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ… will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

You are free from condemnation.
Romans 8:1 There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus…
Jesus is the friend of sinners.
Mathew 11:19 The Son of Man [is] a friend of tax collectors and “sinners.”

You are heard.
Isaiah. 65:24 Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.
He is God who hears.
Exodus 22:27 When he cries out to me, I will hear…

You are seen by God.
Psalm 33:13-14 The LORD looks… he sees all the sons of men. He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth.
He is God who sees (Elroi).
Genesis. 16:13 You are the God who sees me…

You are prayed for.
John 17:20 My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message.
He is your intercessor.
Hebrews 7:25 He always lives to intercede for them

You are filled with joy.
John 17:13 … that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.
He heals the brokenhearted.
Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

You are satisfied.
Isaiah 58:11 The Lord … will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land.
He is satisfaction.
Psalms 107:9 He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

You are not afraid.
Psalm 27:1 The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
The LORD is your light and your salvation.
Psalm 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?

You have authority to overcome.
Luke 10:19 I have given you authority to … overcome all the power of the enemy.
He has all authority.
Matthew 28:18 All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

You are a tree planted by streams of water.
Jeremiah 17:8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.
He is the Living Water.
John 7:37-39 Whoever believes in me… streams of living water will flow from within him. By this he meant the Spirit…

Remember who you are…because of who your Father is!

It started with a slow and gradual process of exclusion and persecution of Jewish people. But let’s not forget, the measures were deemed legal.

Fentanyl-Laced Envelopes Sent by Antifa Terrorists to Election Offices Is Far More Sinister Than Most Believe
…the real story here is that whoever sent them telegraphed how they plan on disrupting upcoming elections. By “whoever sent them,” I mean that I’m not completely convinced this was Antifa. It has all of the right markers for Antifa domestic terrorists and their calls for “direct action,” but there’s one huge problem with that notion. They threatened ballot boxes which are far more beneficial to Democrats than Republicans.

James Macpherson: Western politicians know what is happening and why it is happening but refuse to tell the public
A sleepy west has suddenly woken up in a very dark alley with three big guys – Iran, Russia and China – who hate our guts, wondering how the hell we got here…War in the Middle East will send fuel prices soaring, weakening already weak European economies and thus helping Russia.  A US-Iran war means US resources, already deployed against Russia, will need to also be poured into the Middle East, leaving China to dominate the Pacific.

EXPOSED: The Great Reset, AI Revolution & ‘Global Boiling’: Unveiling the Secret Depopulation Plan – YOU are the Carbon Footprint they want to Eliminate
A chilling plan has been uncovered that should shock you to your very core. For decades, global powers have been orchestrating a depopulation strategy, hidden under the guise of public health crises, economic instability, and environmental concerns. Now, with the dawn of the AI revolution, fondly referred to as the Fourth Industrial Revolution by Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, the world faces an unsettling future.

Dr Peter McCullough: No one should take another Shot, COVID vaccines are not safe for Human use
Dr Peter McCullough recently gave a speech at the European Parliament during a hearing hosted by five Members of the European Parliament (“MEPs”).  The hearing was to raise awareness about the World Health Organisation’s (“WHO’s”) power grab. Dr. McCullough gave evidence of the enormous wave of harms the covid “vaccines” have caused.  There’s a false narrative that it’s COVID causing all these illnesses. Don’t fall for the false narrative. It’s the vaccines causing this enormous wave of illness, he said.

Wicked, Wicked Doctors put “climate change” above patients’ interests
Ahead of COP26 held in Glasgow in 2021, BMJ published an editorial which urged doctors to think less about the health of their patients and more about the health of the planet. The editorial claimed that medical treatment contributes significantly to “greenhouse gas emissions” and that this carbon footprint can be reduced if only “health professionals” can learn to reduce “overdiagnosis” and “overtreatment.”

The Globalist Vision: “15-Minute” Prison Cities And The End Of Private Property
…It is the culmination, the end game; a massive prison with no bars. A place where you are conditioned to grow accustomed to artificial limitations on privacy, no civil liberties, no private property, and no work options or mobility. You are tied to the land and the land is owned by the state (or corporation). If you want a historic comparison, the closest I can find is the feudal system of Medieval Europe.

Exit Tim Scott

The South Carolina senator says he got the message from voters: “Not now, Tim.”

Nate Jackson

The Republican presidential field got one candidate smaller over the weekend, and Business Insider has the scoop: “Tim Scott drops out of GOP primary race after girlfriend reveal.”

Okay, there’s little reason to think those two things are related, but we suppose that headline is par for the course with sensational media.

Actually, South Carolina Senator Scott broke the news while talking to fellow Palmetto State native and former Representative Trey Gowdy on Fox News. “I love America more today than I did on May 22nd,” Scott said of the date he launched his bid, “but when I go back to Iowa, it will not be as a presidential candidate. I am suspending my campaign. I think the voters, who are the most remarkable people on the planet, have been really clear that they’re telling me, ‘Not now, Tim.’ I don’t think they’re saying, Trey, ‘No,’ but I do think they’re saying, ‘Not now.’”

Indeed, Scott’s campaign never did really gain traction, mired in sixth place with a polling average hovering in the low single digits. He said he hopes the people of South Carolina love him half as much as he loves them, and he’ll continue to serve them as long as they’ll have him. He added that he has no plans for endorsing anyone else in the GOP field just yet, and he isn’t interested in being anyone’s running mate.

A few minutes after Scott’s announcement, Gowdy said what many of us were thinking: “We wish him all the best and thank him for his continued service to the country. He really is one of the best people I’ve ever known.”

Scott is a genuinely kind, charming, and thoughtful guy. He is, in fact, the quintessential Nice Guy. He’s a caring Christian with an eternally upbeat and optimistic attitude. He has a compelling backstory of rising from poverty to reach the U.S. Senate, where he boasts a lifetime 90% rating from the American Conservative Union.

But we live in a day and age when virtually none of those things is valued in a presidential candidate. Most Americans want a fighter, a warrior, and, evidently for many, preferably someone who’s willing to get mean, nasty, and dirty. Scott just isn’t that guy.

As for that girlfriend, the never-married Scott did reveal last Wednesday after the GOP debate that he’d been dating Mindy Noce, an interior designer, for about a year. If that has anything to do with his dropping out of the race, it could be that he has other plans. He kept her identity secret for months because he didn’t want to be seen “dragging her onto the campaign trail unless I have the intention of marrying her.”

Either way, the last and only time the U.S. elected an unmarried president was James Buchanan in 1856, and after his single term, the nation split and fought the War Between the States.

Probably best we don’t elect any other unmarried presidents, right?

Kidding aside, the GOP race should begin to change even more in the coming weeks. After Scott joined Mike Pence, Larry Elder, Perry Johnson, Will Hurd, and Francis Suarez in dropping out, it’s likely that Chris Christie and Vivek Ramaswamy will also eventually conclude there’s no path to the nomination. Perhaps that will dawn on even Asa Hutchinson and Doug Burgum, both of whom failed to qualify for the last debate and surely won’t meet the higher threshold for the next one.

If those dropouts happen, the race would become a three-way contest between Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, and Donald Trump. The former president has maintained what certainly seems like an insurmountable lead, and he may indeed run away with the nomination. But his polling is lower in early primary states than it is nationally, and if voters who have yet to even begin paying attention break for DeSantis or Haley, anything can happen.

Executive News Summary

Reports of Youngkin’s demise greatly exaggerated, Army does a recruitment 180, Iran drone/Syria strike, and more.

Douglas Andrews, Thomas Gallatin, & Jordan Candler

Cross-Examination

  • Not so fast on control of Virginia state Senate: It appears that Leftmedia reports of Governor Glenn Youngkin’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. Indeed, the ardently pro-Democrat mainstream media may have been too quick to trumpet what they saw as bad news for Virginia’s improbably popular Republican governor. As one typical headline read, “Glenn Youngkin’s Devastating Loss in Virginia Sparks Wave of Jokes, Mockery.” What was the wellspring of all this derision? Last Tuesday, Democrats kept control of the state Senate and regained control of the state House of Delegates. This was the opposite of what Youngkin had been campaigning hard for — which was control of both houses so as to push through a commonsense conservative agenda during the last two years of his governorship. But it seems that a Democrat incumbent, Ghazala Hashmi, misrepresented her residency, which would be disqualifying and would turn a 21-19 Democrat majority into a 20-20 tie, with Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears — hmm, we wonder how she’ll vote? — casting the tiebreaking vote. As Just the News reports: Hashmi “said on her campaign paperwork that she lived in an apartment in North Chesterfield in Senate District 15, which she won with 61.9% of the vote. However, four neighbors filed a complaint stating that Hashmi lives in Midlothian, outside of the district, and they provided a spreadsheet showing that they had passed her home 61 times in October to document her residency.” Here’s hoping the MSM ends up eating crow.
  • Desperate Army does a recruitment 180: No one has gone broke lately underestimating the intelligence of the U.S. military’s recruiting brain trust, but perhaps they’ve finally gotten the message. As Homeland Institute Executive Director David Zsutty writes in an article titled “A Thousand Good Reasons Not to Enlist,” we have a battle brewing for the soul of the American military. “In a 180-degree reversal after years of celebrating Bio-Leninist rejects, the US Army recently released a recruitment video featuring white [alpha males] jumping out of an airplane. Emma, their previously-lauded girl with two moms from California, is nowhere to be seen — presumably because a real war is brewing.” We’ve documented the Army’s recruiting woes rather extensively during the Biden presidency, as well as the administration’s unwillingness to face the fact that the twin scourges of weakness and wokeness are to blame. And while we’re forever hopeful that a new commander-in-chief and a good housecleaning are all that stand between able-bodied young men and women and a restored fighting force, Zsutty isn’t yet ready to make amends. “From my time in the US Air Force,” he writes, “I can attest that if the military were a company, it would have failed years ago from gross incompetence. … Whenever careerism or bureaucracy clashed with the mission, the mission almost always lost.”
  • Hiring is HOT for prior-military personnel: “Listen up, maggots,” begins columnist Callum Borchers in a Wall Street Journal piece with nowhere to go but up. “What this company needs is more effort and less whining, and I know just the person to set the tone: a drill sergeant or somebody who survived one.” (He meant “drill instructor,” but whatever.) What Callum is talking about is the “staggering demand” of right-thinking companies for the annual availability of roughly 200,000 recently honorably discharged military vets. As Callum notes: “Veterans and companies that recruit from the armed forces say vets’ appeal is rooted in hard work, humility, and attention to detail. Many a manager has complained to me that such qualities are hard to find in the age of quiet quitting and coffee badging.” Indeed, try quiet quitting in our beloved Corps and see what it’ll get you. As one former executive, David McCormick of hedge fund Bridgewater Associates, notes, “Ability is not teachable and values are often not teachable, so the qualities that we are least able to influence are the things we often find in veterans.” That’s good news all the way around.
  • Arrest made in sexual assault of former senator: Martha McSally is a fighter, and that much was evident to the dirtbag who sexually assaulted her last week near the banks of the Missouri River on the Iowa-Nebraska border. McSally, 57, the former Arizona Republican senator who lost two Senate races in two years — one to Kyrsten Sinema in 2018 and another to Mark Kelly in 2020 — was in town to give a speech on courage in nearby Omaha when she was set upon Wednesday while out for a jog. McSally, who has previously spoken about being a rape survivor, managed to fight him off. She recounted her ordeal in a gripping Instagram post shortly after the attack. “A man came up behind me,” she said in the video, “and he engulfed me in a bear hug, and he molested and fondled me until I fought him off. … I was in a fight-flight-or-freeze, and I chose to fight. I ran after him, I threw my water bottle at him, and I chased him into the brush, where he was then hiding as I called 911 and waited for the police to come. I don’t think they found him, and I’m OK.” As it turns out, they did find him two days later. As Fox News reports, “The suspect, identified by authorities as 25-year-old Dominic Henton of Papillion, was taken into custody in Omaha early [Friday] morning.” Upon learning that a warrant had been issued for Henton, McSally posted, “You picked the wrong target.”
  • Iran drone/Syria strike: U.S. officials have confirmed that a U.S. military drone that was shot down off the coast of Yemen last week was indeed the work of Iranian-backed rebels. “We can confirm that a U.S. military MQ-9 remotely-piloted aircraft was shot down off the coast of Yemen by Houthi forces,” stated a U.S. senior official. June 2019 was the last time Houthi forces downed a U.S. drone. Meanwhile, on Sunday the Pentagon announced that it was initiating another round of airstrikes targeting Iranian facilities in Syria. This indicates a ratcheting up of U.S. military actions in the region following Hamas’s attack against Israel and a number of Iranian-backed attacks against U.S. troops in Syria and Iraq. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin defended the decision by saying it was designed “to make clear that the United States will defend itself, its personnel, and its interests.”
  • The “Islamophobia” threat: In downtown New York City, directly outside the New York Times building, pro-Hamas protesters smashed a police cruiser and spray-painted it with the words “Free Gaza,” “IDF,” and “KKK.” This incident followed a protest where thousands of pro-Palestinian marchers flooded the streets, with a mob of them storming the NYT lobby calling for a “ceasefire now.” Meanwhile, Joe Biden is focused on the threat of so-called Islamophobia, as the White House earlier this month announced that Biden was taking steps to develop a national strategy to combat hatred against Muslims. Well, if pro-Hamas protests in New York and other parts of the country are any indication, Biden is barking up the wrong tree.
  • Bare shelves in DC: Following a looting mob stripping the shelves nearly bare at a CVS pharmacy store in the Columbia Heights neighborhood in Washington, DC, last month, the store has taken new drastic measures to prevent any future shoplifting rampages. The CVS store’s shelves remain empty of any products, but in their place are pictures of the goods for sale. Customers are now forced to press a call button and wait for a store employee to bring out the goods requested. With looting mobs becoming a big problem in many of the nation’s largest cities, companies like CVS have responded by both closing down a number of their stores in high-crime neighborhoods, or, as in the case of this DC store, going to extraordinary lengths to prevent shoplifting.
  • NYC mayor’s devices seized by FBI: New York City Mayor Eric Adams had an iPad and cell phones seized by FBI agents last week as part of the federal agency’s investigation into political corruption that has included Adams’s primary campaign fundraiser, Brianna Suggs. Following the seizures, Adams’s attorney explained that the mayor has complied with the FBI and that Adams “has not been accused of any wrongdoing and continues to cooperate with the investigation.” A spokesman for Adams noted that the FBI has already returned some of the electronic devices. It is being reported that the FBI’s investigation is focused on whether Turkish nationals illegally donated to Adams’s campaign, a violation of federal law.

College Protesters Have Always Been Foolish

Their radicalization isn’t anything new, but the leftist worldview and foreign money that’s keeping the schools themselves from acting are.

Emmy Griffin

One of the most disheartening aftereffects of Hamas’s attack on innocent Israeli civilians was the disgusting and disgraceful actions of college professors and their sheep-like students. They celebrated the massacre as the resistance of the oppressed. Their vapid hatred and pro-Hamas sentiments (because it’s not pro-Palestinian; if it were, they’d call for Hamas to surrender to spare the civilians of Gaza) were made manifest by threatening demonstrations, violence, and tearing down posters of kidnapped elderly, women, and children.

It’s disheartening because the students’ ignorant ire exposes the follies of a lack of morality expressed by many operating at the collegiate level. Daniel Greenfield of FrontPage Magazine recently wrote a piece about how college kids seem to be drawn to supporting mass murderers as a matter of course. This is seen throughout history, and it’s not unique to the U.S.

Greenfield’s indictment is scalding. He writes: “The ‘dumb college kids’ aren’t alienated by atrocities, they’re drawn to them. And it’s a fundamental misunderstanding of the last century to think otherwise.”

For Greenfield, the rot in universities comes from a lack of boundaries, specifically for those whose ideas are beyond the pale. Universities coddle these troublemakers and defend to the death their right to spew their poisonous ideologies under the guise of “free speech.” The Free Press’s Rachel Fish explains that the worldview that holds court on college campuses themselves is a big part of this coddling of radicals. She writes: “This worldview is anchored by a toxic stew of postcolonialism, postnationalism, and postmodernism. These intellectual frameworks were first articulated in the humanities in the late 1960s and found fertile ground in area studies programs like Middle Eastern studies, gender studies, and ultimately disciplines like history and literature.”

And when “intellectual frameworks” such as the one Fish described superseded reality and convinced young adults that this was enlightenment or a way to a happy, successful life, that was also an apathetic defeat of the intellectual elite. Greenfield articulates this idea by stating: “Liberals utterly failed to draw a red line with the Left. The constant dismissals of leftists as passionate but misguided, as having the right views but the wrong tactics, led to this. The liberals fell to the Left. And then the most extreme parts of the Left cannibalized the rest. College campuses, always radical, became nests of the most extreme politics in the country.”

That radicalism isn’t being easily shaken by students post-college years, either.

By allowing ideologies that lead to the worst sort of atrocities and dismissing radicalized students as “dumb,” universities have ceded the moral high ground. Perhaps that was lost long ago when intellectuals decided that morality that provided boundaries — such as those in the Judeo-Christian religious worldview — were too constraining. Moral relativism that declares everyone needs to do what is right in their own eyes is now the prevailing rule. More accurately still, the morality that has been adopted is a politically correct, nonsensical, and contradictory one.

There is another angle to this disruptive and anti-Semitic movement within our current campus life (though this one has other wider historical applications as well): Who is funding the colleges? This has been a more and more constant weakness in the upper echelons of higher ed. Whoever pays these poorly run colleges typically has the ear and dictates the ideology of the university. We face this already with the Chinese influence in our universities through Confucius Institutes, but Bari Weiss of The Free Press also reports: “After months of research, the NCRI [Network Contagion Research Institute] released a report (comprising four separate studies) following the money. The report finds that at least 200 American colleges and universities illegally withheld information on approximately $13 billion in undisclosed contributions from foreign regimes, many of which are authoritarian.”

While she does note correlation isn’t causation, it’s worth noticing that the universities that are receiving these undisclosed monies from regimes like Qatar are much more likely to have anti-Semitic incidents on their campuses.

There is perhaps another part of this puzzle needing to be explored. Generally, people donate to colleges that they have attended or whose child has attended. Could it be, like in the cases of the hostile-to-Jews Middle East, that donors have literally sent their children as emissaries of this bad ideology? The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), after much bad press from its own weak response to protests, recently suggested that the majority of the students leading the violence are foreign nationals. If that is indeed the case, the schools have an even greater responsibility to act. The students are here on a visa and are purposely causing chaos and harm on their campuses. Seems like grounds for deportation.

When bad ideas cannot be rooted out because those professors and administrators are too far up their own ideological contortion of a worldview to recognize it, that’s when we get the celebration of mass murder by college kids. Add to that a financial motive to bend to the whims of a country that holds these bad ideals, and the chaos is inevitable. We as a nation need to take a strong stand against these college radicals. They must be held to account in real ways.

But that won’t be done within the walls of their universities. Those institutions are too compromised.

Education Isn’t the Problem

There is a disturbing link between higher education and higher levels of anti-Semitism.

Gary Bauer

For the past month, I have repeatedly heard many well-meaning people say that the pro-Hamas mobs in the streets chanting genocidal slogans are just uneducated and that’s why they are siding with terrorists. Maybe that’s true for some of them. But education isn’t the big problem.

Many of the people we have seen in the streets are college students at some of our finest “institutions of higher learning.” They’re not “uneducated.”

The problem with our college students isn’t a lack of education. It’s what they’re learning. That they’re being indoctrinated with neo-Marxist, anti-Western ideology.

Sadly, many of their professors are overeducated, anti-Israel bigots. As I have noted before, there is a disturbing link between higher education and higher levels of anti-Semitism. Our colleges and universities are breeding grounds for Jew-hatred.

The progressives in this movement are not uneducated. Quite the opposite. They have been immersed in “diversity, equity and inclusion” and critical race theory.

They are intellectually committed to the idea that the world is divided between the oppressed and the oppressors. The leading oppressors of the world are the nations that make up Western Civilization, and the two pillars of Western Civilization are Israel and the United States.

The pro-Hamas mobs want America and Israel destroyed to end the oppression of the West. By the way, you can’t tell who is parroting who. Is Iran parroting the left or is the left parroting Iran?

If you say to one of these anti-Israel demonstrators, “The Jews were in the Holy Land hundreds of years before Islam even existed,” they don’t care.

If you say, “The people who founded America are responsible for spreading more liberty and opportunity than any other system,” they will tell you the opposite — that it brings oppression, slavery and poverty to people of color and must be “fundamentally transformed.”

And there’s another element to these demonstrations.

Many in the pro-Hamas mob are fundamentalist Muslims or Islamic supremacists. They take their religious book very seriously. They want to please Allah and they are willing to kill and die to do so.

You’re not going to educate them out of it, any more than we could have hugged Hitler out of it.

What’s confronting America today, and tearing the progressive movement apart, is neo-Marxism with a heavy dash of Islamofascism. The problem is not a lack of education. It’s dangerous indoctrination.

Biden’s New ‘Don’t Say Dad’ Rule

A proposed pronoun mandate within HHS would remove foundational words such as “father,” “mother,” and “paternity” from regulatory language.

Douglas Andrews

If Joe Biden wants to be reelected, he sure has a funny way of showing it.

A new rule proposed by his Department of Health and Human Services wants to quietly erase the idea of the American family by banning essential biologically descriptive terms such as “mother,” “father,” and “paternity” from the Office of Child Support Services and replace them with more “gender-neutral” words like “parentage.” The OCSS also suggests getting rid of sex-specific pronouns such as “his” and “her” and replacing them with the grammatically nonsensical “their.”

As The Federalist’s Jordan Boyd writes, “OCSS recognizes that current law requires ‘the establishment of paternity and requiring genetic testing in contested paternity cases’ but claims that’s no excuse to limit the definition of parent to a child’s biological mother and father.”

Good grief. The new mumbo-jumbo is hidden within this 10-page pile of bureaucratese. At this point, the proposed rule is just that — proposed — so the American people still have until November 27 to weigh in with their thoughts on the pending change. Perhaps it’d be a good time to give Team Biden’s OCSS an earful.

You can do so right here.

To call the proposed policy “Orwellian” isn’t a stretch. Certain words have certain meanings. The notion of “misgendering,” by which a person refuses to play along with the gender-identity charade by referring to a man by using female pronouns, is ridiculous on its face.

But it’s more than ridiculous. It’s Marxist. And it’s destructive. Recall that the self-described Marxists of Black Lives Matter surreptitiously scrubbed certain language from their website diminishing the importance of the traditional Western nuclear family. But those grifters only did so because word of their radicalism got out, and it began to hurt their fundraising capabilities. As the New York Post reported at the time, “The group, whose co-founder Patrisse Cullors has described herself and fellow co-founder Alicia Garza as ‘trained Marxists,’ removed a page titled ‘What We Believe’ that included its public policy positions as well as describing itself as part of the ‘global Black family.’”

What were BLM’s Marxists trying to do? It’s simple, according to the language they shoved down the memory hole: “We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable,” the website formerly read.

Our Mark Alexander recently addressed the so-called civil rights issue that’s inherent in the battle to promote this larger pathology: “I realize school administrators nationwide are constrained by an errant 2020 Supreme Court decision classifying deviant sexual pathology as a ‘protected civil right,’ on par with race and ethnicity. That court decision set into motion a litany of contortionist efforts by government bureaucracies (including schools) and private sector business to ‘accommodate’ this gender diktat.”

As for the OPCC, some Republican lawmakers have had enough of the Left’s gender games — at least enough to fire off a sternly worded memo. Senators Marco Rubio, James Lankford, Kevin Cramer, Mike Braun, Ted Cruz, and Cindy Hyde-Smith “penned a letter in October condemning the Biden administration for trying to force its ‘don’t say dad’ agenda on American taxpayers.”

The letter begins: “On September 26, 2023, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services issued a proposed rule that would eliminate words like ‘father, ‘mother,’ and ‘paternity’ from federal child-support regulations and instead replace them with gender-neutral alternatives. Your administration’s ‘Don’t Say Dad’ agenda is not only confusing; it does nothing to help single parents who are struggling to provide for their children. We urge you to rescind the proposed rule, acknowledge the essential role that mothers and fathers play in families, and focus your efforts on more important matters.”

Indeed, there are far more important matters confronting us than whether someone feels “excluded” by age-old words such as “mother,” “father,” and “paternity.”

Republicans Stymie Dems’ Crusade Against Justices

Dick Durbin backs off subpoenaing friends of Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito.

Thomas Gallatin

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has long been a target of Democrats going all the way back to his 1991 nomination, which they tried to derail with their Anita Hill smear campaign. Thomas famously decried it as a “high-tech lynching.”

Ever since, Thomas has proven himself to be one of the most constitutionally faithful justices on the bench, and thus he has been a veritable thorn in the side of the Democrats’ radical political agenda.

And with the current makeup of the Supreme Court being 6-3 (mostly) conservative, Democrats have been seeking a way to somehow tilt the Court back toward their activist agenda. Recall that Joe Biden initially dismissed packing the Court but later advocated the creation of a commission to study the potential ramifications of doing so. Unsurprisingly, the commission came back months later, ultimately taking “no position” on the issue. Biden backed off — for now.

However, following the Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade in June 2022, once again the Democrats railed against the Court, ironically charging it with being a politically motivated body. Democrats have looked for a way to discredit the Court itself, and more specifically conservative justices like Thomas.

Coming to their aid is the media outfit ProPublica, which deceptively bills itself as a “non-partisan investigative journalism organization.” It is, however, primarily funded by Democrats and just happens to attack Republicans at a significantly higher rate than Democrats. After digging into ProPublica news coverage, the conservative group Restoration of America PAC recently found some bias: “Of the 716 articles reviewed [from 2022 to 2023], 242 were politically slanted, with a large disparity between anti-liberal and anti-leftist pieces. In total, 232 were anti-conservative and 10 were anti-left.” Not very balanced or “nonpartisan.”

In truth, ProPublica is nothing other than a propaganda arm of the Democrat Party hiding under the guise of independent journalism.

It was ProPublica that started reporting on the supposed ethics violations of Justice Thomas, claiming that he had received lavish gifts and trips from conservative billionaires. It was a blatant smear campaign, eerily similar to that “high-tech lynching” Democrats tried during his nomination.

As Thomas Jipping, senior fellow at The Heritage Foundation’s Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, observed regarding the story, “Justice Thomas’ critics cannot convince the public that his approach to judging or his individual decisions are legally incorrect, so they and their media enablers drop innuendos and incomplete information, hoping … that uninformed people will assume the worst.”

But of course, that reality doesn’t matter to the Democrats. The story’s existence was enough for Democrats like Senator Dick Durbin to call for an investigation and the supposed need for Congress to hold members of the Court accountable.

Senate Democrats sought to pile on to their bogus innuendoes of “ethics violations” by insisting on launching an investigation and demanding that wealthy conservative friends of Justices Thomas and Samuel Alito turn over information to the Judiciary Committee. To ratchet up the charade, Democrats threatened to subpoena both Leonard Leo, co-chairman of The Federalist Society, and Harlan Crow, a real estate developer with whom Thomas has had a long friendship.

Well, Republicans called their bluff by filing 88 amendments and effectively warning that should the committee go through with its subpoenas, they would block the effort when it went to the full Senate.

Lo and behold, Durbin pulled the subpoena vote for now, stating that the committee “didn’t have time,” but he promised that the Democrats are “still united” on planning to issue subpoenas. We’ll see.

Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) did issue an ominous warning: “Once you open this door, it’s hard to close.” Indeed.

Every day, 7,000 to 10,000 people illegally cross our border. And, as a result, every day the population of America becomes more anti-Semitic.” —Gary Bauer

“There’s something peculiar about all the media reports about the extravagant spike in antisemitism: They all carry notes about a supposedly concomitant rise in ‘Islamophobia.’ This is odd, to say the least. What the hell does Islamophobia have to do with antisemitism? The answer is: precisely nothing. Precisely nothing, that is, unless you wish to suggest that response to antisemitism is linked with Islamophobia — that if you wish to oppose radical Muslim antisemitism, that is an aspect of Islamophobia. Which, of course, is precisely what antisemites are suggesting these days.” —Ben Shapiro

What moral responsibility do the AP and Reuters and their like bear for printing the propaganda of Hamas and its minions?” —Ben Shapiro

Political Futures

“Americans who have homes and kids and property taxes and bad schools and high grocery store bills aren’t going to be moved by Trump’s problems with the Justice Department or the plight of ‘manufacturing’ jobs or Matt Gaetz’s hurt feelings… It doesn’t necessarily mean those issues aren’t important, though some surely aren’t, but that you need a coherent, holistic approach to politics that is completely undercut by opaque and constantly shifting demands of right-populism.” —David Harsanyi

And Last…

“President Obama’s belief that ‘all of us are complicit to some degree’ in Hamas’s attack is a confession of a guilty man trying to implicate others.” —Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR)

Kirk Cameron exposes Scholastic Books as ‘the head of the snake’ when it comes it sexually explicit children’s books | Conservative Review

Many adults look back fondly on the days when the Scholastic book fair came to their elementary schools. Lines of squirrelly, excited kids filed into the school library to purchase scented erasers, decorative pens and pencils, games and puzzles, baby animal posters, and, of course, books.

But those days of childhood innocence are seemingly over.

Actor, television host, and evangelist Kirk Cameron joins Pat Gray to discuss the disturbing content Scholastic Books now sells and promotes to children.

“How do these books with sexually explicit, pornographic, gender-bending, confusing, critical race theory-infused books get into these public libraries and public schools for children? … Who is it?” asks Cameron.

“We found the wolf in the sheep’s clothing – Scholastic books,” he reveals, adding that the billion-dollar conglomerate is “the world’s largest producer of children’s material, and they’re lacing their pages with pornographic, obscene material that even Facebook will not allow [people] to post in the feed because it violates their obscenity laws … for adults.”

Cameron uses the book “Welcome to St. Hell,” which is “marketed to 8- to 12-year-olds – that’s second-graders to sixth-graders” as just one example.

“In it is nudity, sex acts, girls with their hands down other girls’ pants showing their pubic hair, and an instruction manual on how to use hormones to turn your female sex instruments into a hairy two-inch willy,” explains Cameron, saying that he’s “not using hyperbole.”

“This stuff is being pumped into your kids through the libraries and the public school system, and not just that, but they’re grooming your littles to explore the world of drag … while they teach your children how to clear internet history searches and hide this from you so that they can essentially disciple your children in the way of Karl Marx and secular humanism,” he continues.

What’s perhaps even more terrifying is the reality that the United States, which was founded on “a set of Judeo-Christian values that says God gives kids to parents,” is quickly shifting toward a mindset similar to that of China and North Korea, where the state is the prime authority over what children are taught.

But we’re afraid the bad news doesn’t end there.

“When you look at … the biggest shareholders of this publicly traded company, Scholastic, guess who it is,” says Cameron. “BlackRock and Vanguard.”

“So the ESG [and] DEI is all coming down from the ginormous companies, and … the effect is you sexualize children, you separate them from their parents, and that’s the goal. Hitler said it. He said, ‘I don’t care if you disagree with my ideologies; I have your children in my schools, and in 40 years, you’ll be gone, and this is the only community they’ll ever have known,” he explains.

“The good news is we still have enough liberty in this country to read books to our children, pull them out of government indoctrination camps, educate them, teach them about the Constitution and the values that lead to their blessing,” Cameron encourages.

And there’s more good news.

“We’ve replaced the monopoly that Scholastic has with SkyTree Book Fairs,” says Cameron, which is “a nonprofit I’ve partnered with” that carries only “great books for kids.”

Already over “700 public schools and private schools” are “replacing Scholastic Book Fairs with SkyTree Book Fairs,” he reports.

WORLDVIEW: New Age Movement (Part 1) | VCY

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby.

Today, we’re talking about worldviews. What comes to mind when you hear “New Age Movement?” Flower children meditating with crystals next to a Volkswagen van? Well, that caricature may be long gone, but New Age ideas continue to influence contemporary culture.

Popularized in the 1960s and stemming from Eastern religious philosophies, the New Age Movement promotes the pantheistic view that God is in everything and in everyone. We can tap into this spiritual “energy” to experience a higher consciousness on the pathway to “becoming god” ourselves. The coming “Age of Aquarius” supposedly will usher in a new spiritual utopia.

But, as the late Billy Graham said:

… the New Age movement, with all of its aberrations … is actually not new but only the latest attempt by man to place something other than Christ inside himself in a futile attempt to satisfy spiritual longings.

EXACTLY!

There’s another reason New Age philosophy is dangerous. But we’ll discuss that another time. Until then, for more information, go to http://www.hopetools.net.  Stay bold!

Progressive Disillusionment | VCY

Kerby Anderson

The road to a progressive utopia has arrived at disillusionment for so many in the younger generation. New York Post writer Kendall Qualls begins, “Your intentions were noble. You wanted to make the country and the world a better place.” The goal of this emerging generation was to “fundamentally change America” by attempting to align their values with liberal progressive goals.

It seemed like the best way to deal with racism in this country was to support BLM and put law enforcement on notice. Unfortunately, something went wrong. Groups like BLM were supposed to implement beneficial programs “have proven to be inept, mismanaging funds and the leaders of the organization embezzled millions of dollars.” Even worse, BLM supported the terrorist group Hamas “that decapitates infants, sexually assaults women, and takes 80-year-old grandmothers as hostages.”

It seemed like the best way to provide fairness to the LGBQ movement was to promote same-sex marriage. “However, as the group started adding more letters (and numbers) to the movement, you forgot that most folks are uneasy with the idea of biological men competing against women in swimming, cycling, weightlifting and other sports where clearly men will dominate over women.”

Progressive policies in government aren’t working. “Crime continues to skyrocket in major cities nationwide. Black leaders seem unable or unwilling to subdue flash mobs of black youth who are shoplifting, carjacking, and brutalizing suburban moms.”

Progressive policies and organizations aren’t producing the desired effects in society. It is time for this generation to reevaluate their beliefs and assumptions.

Shocking Video Montage Exposes Biden’s Declining Mental Capacities | Conservative Brief

A video montage of President Joe Biden put out by the Republican National Committee’s research division appears to paint a disturbing picture of a commander-in-chief suffering from a worsening mental capacity.

The montage contains several clips of Biden mumbling and stumbling through sentences while, at other times, he appears to forget what he’s trying to say. Other clips show him confused and rambling.

Biden’s apparent worsening mental condition has become a major issue for voters, with one physician claiming earlier this fall she didn’t believe the president could pass a rudimentary mental exam.

Dr. Carole Lieberman, who has made appearances on Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Phil, Fox News, and CNN, told the Real America’s Voice streaming network that voters should not simply focus on Biden’s age — he’s 80, and he would be 82 on Inauguration Day if he wins again next year.

She said that there is “talk about Biden being too old to run, which isn’t really the case.”

“It’s not about his being too old,” she said, according to The Western Journal. “There are people a lot older who have their marbles and are very intelligent and know history and are able to know how to put this country in a good direction.

“So it’s not age. … It’s about his competency,” Lieberman continued. “If he took the test that I was offering him — this mini-mental status test, or some other kind of test of competency — there’s no way he would pass.”

She went on to speculate that he couldn’t even answer this question: “Who is the president of the United States?”

Lieberman was referring to a mini-mental state exam that is “an 11-question measure that tests five areas of cognitive function: orientation, registration, attention and calculation, recall, and language,” according to the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing.

The unofficial diagnosis comes as Biden continues deteriorating in the eyes of tens of millions of Americans in terms of his mental state and capacity.

In survey after survey over the past year, at least, a vast majority of voters have expressed their belief that Biden cannot serve another term because he’s not mentally fit enough to do so.

The latest is a Harvard Harris Poll found in August, which found that as Trump continues to dominate the field of Republican candidates, Biden suffers from a growing perception that he is no longer mentally fit to serve as commander-in-chief.

The late July poll found that less than one-third — 32 percent — of respondents believe that Biden is mentally fit to serve as President, while 68 percent expressed doubts about his mental acuity.

The results of the poll indicate that the findings could potentially have an impact on the 2024 Presidential Election. Despite Biden’s overall approval rating standing around 40 percent, the question of his mental fitness might play a decisive role for undecided voters. Poll analysts said that Democrats must proactively address these concerns if they wish to secure a second term for Biden.

In June, a national survey conducted for NBC News found that more than two-thirds of registered voters, or 68 percent, said they have moderate to major concerns about Biden “not having the necessary mental and physical health” to be president, a staggering 17-point increase from when voters were asked the same question in October 2020.

“The new poll shows 32% of voters said they have little to no real concerns, which is a drop from the 48% of voters who responded similarly in October 2020, roughly a month before the November presidential election that year,” the Daily Wire reported, citing the survey.

The same survey found a lower percentage of voters — but still a majority at 55 percent — felt the same about Trump, who just turned 77.

And a survey published the previous month revealed similar findings and sentiments about the president.

According to an NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll, a majority of Americans, by a 62 percent-to-36 percent margin, think Biden does not have the mental capacity to continue serving as president beyond his first term.

Most Americans feel poorer under Biden – poll | RT Business News

Only 14% believe their finances have improved, a survey shows

A majority of US voters are dissatisfied with President Joe Biden’s economic policies, according to the latest monthly poll conducted by the Global Strategy Group and North Star Opinion Research, the Financial Times reported on Monday.

According to the findings, some 61% of respondents said they disapproved of Biden’s handling of the economy, while only 36% approved.

Nearly 70% claimed that Biden’s economic policies have either hurt the American economy or had no impact on it. Some 33% stressed that the president’s actions have “hurt the economy a lot.” Just 26% saw Biden’s policies as beneficial, while only 14% believe their finances have improved since the president took office.

Some 82% of respondents stated that they were especially worried about rising prices and the failure of the current administration to deal with the problem. US inflation has dropped from last year’s peak of 9.1%, but was still well above the 2% target at 3.7% year-on-year in September. Some 75% of those polled named inflation as the greatest threat to the US economy in the next six months.

Every group – Democrats, Republicans and independents – list rising prices as by far the biggest economic threat… and the biggest source of financial stress. That is bad news for Biden, and the more so considering how little he can do to reverse the perception of prices before election day,” Erik Gordon, a professor at Michigan’s Ross School, told the FT.

Of the respondents, 52% said they had cut spending on food or other everyday necessities due to higher prices, while some 65% were forced to slash non-essential spending on things such as holidays or eating out.

The poll was conducted online between November 2 and 7 among 1,004 registered voters nationwide.

The ‘genocide,’ ‘colonialist’ and ‘racist’ lies | JNS

If you resent Jewish and Israeli success, you have nothing left but baseless slanders.

Shortly after Hamas’s sadistic slaughter of 1,400 Israelis on Oct. 7, an IDF spokesman pronounced the organization’s leader in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinwar, a “dead man walking.” Given that Israel resurrected Sinwar once, it would be not only justice but poetic for it to show him the door now.

The Hamas leader served 22 years in prison for organizing a 1988 kidnapping and murder of two Israeli soldiers. While jailed, Sinwar’s life was reportedly saved by Israeli surgeons who removed a brain tumor.

In 2011, Israel exchanged Sinwar and more than 1,000 other imprisoned terrorists and suspected terrorists for one Israeli soldier.

This is how the Jewish state conducts its alleged “genocide” against Palestinian Arabs.

The Zionists’ supposed extermination of Palestinian Arabs has been remarkably ineffective, except by the standards applied at U.S. colleges, where students and professors rage against Israeli—that is Jewish—self-defense rather than against Hamas’s human shields/CNN strategy.

For example, after Israel ousted Egypt and Jordan from their respective occupations of the Gaza Strip and Judea/Samaria in the 1967 Six-Day War, Palestinian Arab infant mortality decreased and electrification, access to clean water and education all surged.

By 2020, according to the United Nations’ annual Human Development Report, of 188 countries listed plus the non-existent “State of Palestine,” Norway ranked first, the United States 17, Israel 19, the United Arab Emirates first among Arab countries at 31, Jordan 105, “Palestine” 115, Egypt 116, Morocco 121, Iraq 123, Syria (during its devastating civil war) 151, and Yemen (also during civil war) 179. Apparently, Israel’s “genocide” of Palestinian Arabs is not as bad as the “genocide” Egyptians, Moroccans, Iraqis, Syrians and Yemenis inflict on themselves.

Israel is also charged with being a “settler-colonialist” interloper in the Arab Middle East. Never mind that the Middle East contains many non-Arab peoples. It is curious that as late as 1878 the Arab population of the land that became Israel in 1948 numbered somewhere around 160,000. This small population had not been there “since time immemorial” but arrived beginning in the late 1400s from the Arabian Peninsula and what are now Transjordan, Egypt and Syria.

The late Saeb Erekat, for a time the Palestinian Authority’s chief negotiator with Israel, claimed in 2014 that Palestinians, as descendants of the Canaanites, preceded the biblical Israelites in the land.

“Absurd,” replied Prof. Raphael Israeli of Hebrew University. “The Palestinians don’t really have roots here. They know this very well, so they are trying to invent origins for themselves.”

In 1939, both U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill noted that Arab migration to British Mandatory Palestine, stimulated by two decades of Zionist development, exceeded that of the Jews (who were impeded by the British).

Rather than foreign occupiers, Jewish immigrants to Palestine in the 19th and 20th centuries represented an unprecedented, if not miraculous, return of an ancient, indigenous people to a portion of its ancestral land.

Then there are the claims of “Zionist racism” and “Israeli apartheid.” The Soviet-inspired, Arab League-promoted 1975 U.N. General Assembly resolution equating Zionism with racism furthered a Kremlin psychological warfare campaign. The smear was necessitated by Israel’s U.S.-backed defeat of Moscow’s Egyptian and Syrian clients in the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Despite its repeal in 1991, the resolution poisoned much of the Western left and resounds loudly today, embraced by such intersectional icons as Black Lives Matter.

Israel is so racist that, in June 2022, while waiting at a smoothie stand in downtown Jerusalem, I found myself behind two young black men in T-shirts, one with an automatic rifle slung across his back. He was almost certainly an IDF soldier a bit out of uniform.

In the “apartheid” Jewish state, a Christian Arab woman was Miss Israel in 1999. Arabs comprise about 21% of the Israeli population but 35% of its pharmacists. As for life expectancy, it’s 79 years for an Arab Israeli born in 2015, the same as an American born in 2017 and higher than anywhere in the Arab-Islamic world.

So, if the facts are that Israel isn’t committing genocide against Palestinian Arabs, isn’t colonialist and isn’t racist, why do so many have so much fun hating it? Because if you resent the Jews’ success (0.20% of the world’s population, 20% of its Nobel Prizes); if you reject their insistence on ethical monotheism; and if Israel as the Middle East’s sole diverse democracy with equal rights for minorities embarrasses you—you have nothing else left.
