8 Presidents Who Looked to God for Guidance

8 Presidents Who Looked to God for Guidance

America has now had 46 presidents in its history. Most of these men have been at least nominally Christian, and none have declared themselves atheists. Each President’s Day, many Americans think back to the leaders we have had throughout the few centuries since the country’s founding. A few presidents particularly stand out for their Christian faith and how they relied on God in times of personal and national crisis. It may be inspiring to read how these men knew that while they themselves had a great deal of power, they too knew who the ultimate authority was and knew they could only succeed in their responsibilities through His guidance.

Here are eight presidents who are particularly noteworthy examples of men of character and faith.

Many Christians feel like outsiders in an increasingly hostile society. Remarkably, the Apostle Peter wrote a letter to believers in a similar situation. In today’s message from his new teaching series, Sinclair Ferguson introduces the hope-filled message of 1 Peter.

February 19 – The grace of knowing God hears our prayers | Reformed Perspective

“And the LORD said to him: “I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before Me.”” – I Kings 9:3

Scripture reading: 1 Kings 8:22– 9:9

Prayer is hard. Most Christians struggle with praying faithfully in one way or another. Donald Whitney is a recent author to label prayer a “Christian Discipline.” Many authors over the years have said similar things about prayer. Maybe one reason prayer is such a challenge for us is a nagging doubt that God hears our prayers. We understand that God hears prayers, but we also need to firmly believe that He hears our prayers. We can at least say from 1 Kings 9that God heard Solomon’s prayer.

But why did God listen to Solomon pray? Included in all the answers to this question is a basic and sweet answer – grace. God listened to the prayers of Solomon ‘by grace alone!’ Wait, I thought Solomon was incredibly wise, wealthy and wondrous in his beauty (Matthew 6:29). Yes, but he was also a womanizer and idolater (1 Kings 11:1-13). Solomon was a great king and a terrible sinner. We are godly people who also fight and lose battles with the world, the flesh and the devil (Canons of Dort 5.4). The most basic reason God listens to and answers the prayers of His sinful, covenant people is His grace.

What does that mean for us? It means we should be convinced that God is listening to our prayers! His grace is full and free for us through Christ and He has decided to hear us when we pray. So…pray!

Suggestions for prayer

Believe God and pray!

Not Forgotten | VCY

Thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me. (Isaiah 44:21)

Our Jehovah cannot so forget His servants as to cease to love them. He chose them not for a time but forever. He knew what they would be when He called them into the divine family. He blots out their sins like a cloud; and we may be sure that He will not turn them out of doors for iniquities which He has blotted out. It would be blasphemy to imagine such a thing.

He will not forget them so as to cease to think of them. One forgetful moment on the part of our God would be our ruin. Therefore He says, “Thou shalt not be forgotten of me,” Men forget us; those whom we have benefited turn against us. We have no abiding place in the fickle hearts of men; but God will never forget one of His true servants. He binds Himself to us not by what we do for Him but by what He has done for us. We have been loved too long and bought at too great a price to be now forgotten. Jesus sees in us His soul’s travail, and that He never can forget. The Father sees in us the spouse of His Son, and the Spirit sees in us His own effectual work. The Lord thinketh upon us. This day we shall be succored and sustained. Oh, that the Lord may never be forgotten of us!

Saved to Serve | Daily Thoughts about God.

”Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,  and whoever wants to be first must be your slave —  just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”  Matthew 20:26b-28

Do you believe the Lord is calling you to greatness?

I’m not referring to the kind of greatness the world knows, but the counter-cultural greatness of a committed Christ follower.

In my initial immature years as a believer, I thought receiving Christ as Savior was the beginning and the end of my eternal relationship journey with the Lord. Regrettably, many believers are spiritually stagnant. Ultimately, as I immersed myself in Jesus’ Words, I realized that receiving Christ is only the initial relational response in my intimate discipleship journey.

In Matthew 20, Jesus’ disciples, exhibiting an entitlement mentality, resentfully debate their perceived position and power in the Kingdom. Jesus corrects their perspective — clarifying that unlike the religious elite of Jesus’ day who thrive on power, prestige, and prosperity, His disciples must exemplify selfless, surrendered, servitude. Throughout the gospels, Jesus models and emphasizes intentional servitude. This compulsory discipleship dynamic reflects Kingdom greatness, and by God’s divine design, refines character — transforming the inner man to represent and reflect His Son, Jesus.

God calls every believer to embrace Kingdom greatness. As I continue to immerse myself in Jesus’ words and character, I realize that salvation is only the spark to the flame of our intimate and eternal relationship with God. Yes, Jesus saved us from sin, but more importantly, He saved us to serve — not exclusively within the comfort and confines of church community, but also to authentically represent and reflect Him within our broader communities of hurting and forgotten people.

Dear Heavenly Father, help me to understand and embrace Kingdom greatness. Create in me a servant’s heart — a heart that strives to emulate Jesus’ servant heart to a broken and hurting world. Open up opportunities for me to serve within my own community. Amen.

The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the leastofthese brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’Matthew 25:40 NIV

My favorite fast-food restaurant is known for cheerfully greeting its customers with, “How may I serve you?” After serving me, it’s often followed up with, “It was my pleasure to serve you.” How refreshing to hear! If I’m not in the best mood or frame of mind, these words can change my outlook on life in that very moment.

Are we finding ways to serve others throughout our week?

Are we finding ways to help or bless them? I just have to pause and look around; opportunities abound if I open my eyes, ears and heart.

At the last supper Jesus took a cloth and basin of water and kneeled to wash the disciples’ feet. This was a beautiful picture of the King of kings humbling Himself before others in a spirit of service. He set an example that any of us can follow.

  • How can I serve my family, friends and neighbors?
  • How can I serve a stranger?
  • How can I serve my church?
  • How can I serve you, Lord?

The Bible clarifies that as we do for the least of them, it’s as if we do it for God. Our service doesn’t have to be dramatic. It can be meaningful and worthy when done with a sincere heart and pure motives.

I want to make a difference. I want to impact the lives of others in a way that lifts them up and encourages them, to make things better.

Lord, may I have a spirit of service reflecting the example of Jesus, commit to serving others, and pledge my obedience to you to further your kingdom work and glorify you.

THE FOUNDATION

“It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor.” —George Washington (1789)

Fellow Patriots, today is colloquially known as Presidents’ Day, but it is rightly and officially Washington’s Birthday in recognition of our first and greatest president, whose actual birthday is February 22. The day certainly isn’t about lesser presidents or retail sales but about honoring one of history’s truly great men. —Mark Alexander

FEATURED ANALYSIS

Rehabilitating Biden’s Afghanistan Disaster

A new book ostensibly recounts the White House’s determined work to get Afghanistan right.

Nate Jackson

Joe Biden’s disastrous surrender and retreat from Afghanistan marked an early low point in his presidency. Solely to keep a foolish campaign promise, the commander-in-chief embarrassed and weakened America, which has had profound consequences worldwide.

And the “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” thinks everything went just dandy.

Politico’s Alexander Ward explains it in a new book coming out tomorrow — The Internationalists: The Fight to Restore Foreign Policy After Trump.

The obtuse title should tell you a lot about the author’s skewed worldview. Donald Trump’s foreign policy record was laudable. He brokered peace deals in the Middle East, vaporized an Iranian terrorist leader, bolstered the strength of NATO, and countered Chinese ambitions, just to name a few things. The only thing to “restore” after that was the failures of the Barack Obama years.

And boy, did Joe Biden deliver.

“No one offered to resign” after the Afghanistan withdrawal, Ward writes, “in large part because the president didn’t believe anyone had made a mistake. Ending the war was always going to be messy.” The way Biden went about doing it, yes, it was. Of course, “messy” is a gross understatement.

Thirteen Americans were killed by jihadists during the chaotic evacuation in Kabul. In retaliation, Biden ordered a missile strike that killed a bunch of kids. According to the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, the U.S. abandoned “nearly $7.2 billion worth of aircraft, guns, vehicles, ammunition, and specialized equipment” to the Taliban.

That was just the beginning. Six months after Biden’s Saigon-like withdrawal, Vladimir Putin launched what Biden derided as a “minor incursion” into Ukraine. As you may have heard, that war is ongoing. Putin would not be in Ukraine if Trump was still president, and anyone who believes otherwise is suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome.

Then, in October 2023, Iran-backed Hamas terrorists brutally murdered 1,200 Israelis. That war is also ongoing, despite Team Biden’s efforts to hamstring our Israeli allies. Three more Americans were killed in related strikes by Iranian proxies just last month, and again, Biden lobbed a few missiles at targets anywhere but Iran.

Chinese dictator Xi Jinping is calculating his timing on crossing the Taiwan Strait to reclaim the free island nation the ChiComs insist belongs under their thumb.

Meanwhile, in Afghanistan, the Taliban took control once again, immediately oppressing the people — especially women — and ruthlessly punishing Afghans who cooperated with America but whom Biden left behind along with hundreds of American citizens. “Human rights in Afghanistan are in a state of collapse [two years into the Taliban’s takeover], acutely affecting the lives of millions of women, men, girls and boys,” said Volker Turk, United Nations high commissioner for human rights, in September 2023. “The shocking level of oppression of Afghan women and girls is immeasurably cruel.”

The “good Catholic” Biden has been far tougher on pro-lifers in America than the Islamofascist thugs in Afghanistan.

In 2001, we went to Afghanistan to crush al-Qaida and the hosting Taliban. Yet al-Qaida is growing thanks to its Taliban hosts. That isn’t new news, but it’s worth remembering.

But sure, Biden handled the Afghanistan retreat so well that no one even considered resigning. “There wasn’t even a real possibility of a shake-up,” a White House official told Ward. The author added, “Biden told his top aides … that he stood by them and they had done their best during a tough situation.”

In reality, White House players covered for Biden’s blundering and lies. For example, “There’s no one here who thinks we can meet that promise,” one official told Ward of Biden’s promise to stay until every American was evacuated.

The entire book would be hilarious if it weren’t such a serious topic. At the time, Biden blamed all the withdrawal difficulties on the flaws in Trump’s evacuation plan that Biden was somehow forced to follow. He was able to undo everything else Trump did — why not that plan? Then again, anyone without Biden’s advanced dementia knows that such a disaster never would have happened under Trump, who would have altered the plan to deal with events.

Like every other Leftmedia hack, Ward may be attempting to rehabilitate Biden’s image by giving a gritty account of how the White House handled and viewed unfolding events. But the Afghanistan retreat remains one of his worst decisions with near-catastrophic results for the U.S. and the world. Going out on a limb, reminding voters of that during an election year might not actually help Joe Biden.

Alexei Navalny’s Death Underscores Putin’s Evil

Vladimir Putin adds another body to the list of individuals who dared to publicly oppose and expose his corruption.

Thomas Gallatin

The sudden death of Russia’s primary opposition leader to President Vladimir Putin, Alexei Navalny, in a Siberian prison at the age of 47 should serve as a grim and sadly needed reminder to many Americans just how ruthless and evil a man the Russian dictator is.

Back in 2020, Navalny narrowly survived a poisoning attempt likely made with the Novichok nerve agent. It had all the earmarks of Putin’s FSB, the modern version of the Soviet-era KGB. Why was Navalny poisoned? It had everything to do with his growing popularity and his efforts to expose the corruption of Putin and his government.

Navalny made a name for himself in 2011 when he helped to foment protests in Russia over government corruption within Putin’s inner circle. In 2013, Putin felt the growing threat from Navalny, who, in a campaign for mayor of Moscow, garnered 27% of the vote in an election rigged against him. And it was on the eve of Russia’s 2020 national election that Navalny suddenly fell ill, having been poisoned as noted above. He survived thanks to medical treatment in Germany.

Yet despite Putin’s attempt on his life, Navalny boldly returned to Moscow in 2021, where he was promptly arrested, charged with “extremism,” and given a 19-year prison sentence. He died a day after having appeared before a Russian judge via video link from the prison where he appeared jovial and in good health.

What likely bothered Putin the most was Navalny’s upbeat fearlessness. Now Navalny has become the latest and one of the most prominent among the growing list of Putin’s political enemies who have come to untimely ends. That list includes individuals like the former Russian spy and Putin critic Alexander Litvinenko, who, after defecting to the UK, died of poisoning in 2016 in London. There’s also Mikhail Lesin, a former Russian press director who, in 2015, suspiciously died at the age of 57 in a Washington, DC, hotel. Also in 2015, another Putin critic, Boris Nemtsov, was shot to death on a bridge near the Kremlin.

Navalny’s wife, Yulia, learned of his death while at a security conference in Germany. She responded by stating: “I do not know if I shall believe [this] devastating news, which we are receiving solely from the governmental offices in Russia. Because, for many years now, and you all know this, we cannot trust Putin. Putin’s government — they always lie.”

Soviet-born chess champion Garry Kasparov observed: “Putin tried and failed to murder Navalny quickly and secretly with poison, and now he has murdered him slowly and publicly in prison. He was killed for exposing Putin and his mafia as the crooks and thieves they are. My thoughts are with the brave man’s wife and children.”

Indeed, Navalny’s death should come as a surprise to no one. Back in April 2021, Joe Biden’s national security advisor, Jake Sullivan, warned, “We have communicated to the Russian government that what happens to Mr. Navalny in their custody is their responsibility and they will be held accountable by the international community.” Two months later at the U.S.-Russia summit in Geneva, Biden blustered, “I made it clear to [Putin] that I believe the consequences of [Navalny’s death] would be devastating for Russia.”

And now, with Navalny’s untimely death, the Biden administration has been mum as to what, if any, “devastating” consequences Russia will be facing.

In light of the ongoing wrangling in Congress over sending billions more in aid and military support for Ukraine in its war to repel Russia’s invasion, too many folks seem to have taken to viewing Putin through rose-colored glasses in an effort to justify their opposition to spending the money. One can be opposed to sending billions more to Ukraine without diminishing or, even worse, lionizing a murderous dictator.

Executive News Summary

Cost of Trump’s legal debts, Secret Service pulls “tripping duty” for Biden, DHS doesn’t bother tracking migrants, and more.

Douglas Andrews, Thomas Gallatin, & Jordan Candler

Cross-Examination

  • Total cost of Trump’s legal debts: New York has not been kind to Donald Trump over the last few months, at least when it comes to the judicial system. The former president and current Republican primary frontrunner has had three civil lawsuits go against him, and with each loss, the penalty meted out against him has increased exponentially. Two losses in defamation suits brought by writer E. Jean Carroll have tallied nearly $90 million in damages Trump has been ordered to pay, and with Friday’s ruling against him in a civil fraud case brought by New York Attorney General Letitia Jones, an astounding $355 million was added to the total. Thus far, Trump is on the hook for a whopping $542 million in legal judgments. New York claims this is not politically motivated. And pigs can fly.
  • DOJ shows selective outrage on false statements: It’s nice to see Joe Biden’s Department of “Justice” finally taking an interest in prosecuting folks who lie to the FBI. On Thursday, FOB (Friend of Biden) Special Counsel David Weiss announced the indictment of Alexander Smirnov, 43, a longtime confidential human source, for making false statements. The charging documents say Smirnov allegedly provided “false derogatory information” about Joe Biden and his pure-as-the-driven-snow son, Hunter, “in 2020, after [the Big Guy] became a presidential candidate.” So this guy not only lied to the FBI, but he also tried to interfere with a presidential election. Heavens. As ABC News gleefully reports, “Smirnov is the same person that Republicans have called ‘a highly credible FBI source’ and have used to claim Joe Biden is corrupt, according to multiple senior congressional sources.” Again, it’s nice to see Rule of Law being enforced in this matter, but where were these folks when the likes of Stefan Halper, Rodney Joffe, and Christopher Steele were spinning lies about Donald Trump’s low-level foreign policy advisers, his supposed ties to nefarious Russian banks, and his “golden showers” with Russian hookers? Move along; nothing to see there. But don’t dare utter a false statement about the Biden Crime Family. How will Smirnov’s indictment affect House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer’s ongoing impeachment inquiry into the Influence-Peddler-in-Chief? It won’t, according to Comer. Indeed, when it comes to corruption, there’s still plenty of there there.
  • Secret Service now pulls “tripping duty” for Biden: Herr Doktor Jill Biden, Ed.D., must’ve given them a stern talking to. How else to explain the new protocol we’re seeing on airport tarmacs everywhere? Not only has our decrepit commander-in-chief been relegated to the short stairs on Air Force One, but he’s also got himself a burly looking Secret Service “catcher” standing there at the bottom of the stairs — you know, just in case. Alas, even the friendlies at The New York Times have the long knives out for Scranton Joe, now that he’s damaged goods. “Even the way Mr. Biden walks to the presidential aircraft is subject to careful management,” reports the Times in a piece titled “Inside Biden’s Protective White House.” The Times adds: “The president started taking a short flight of stairs directly into the belly of Air Force One, rather than a tall stairway wheeled up to a higher point on the plane, after he tripped and fell over a sandbag during a commencement ceremony this past summer. Now, there is a Secret Service agent positioned at the bottom of the stairs when he disembarks.” Never fear, though. According to The Los Angeles Times, “Biden’s age is his superpower.”
  • DHS doesn’t bother tracking migrants: Joe Biden’s recently impeached Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas admitted that upwards of 85% of migrants who are caught illegally entering the country are subsequently released into the U.S. interior. They supposedly are to await a court date regarding a judgment on the legitimacy of their asylum request. But where do they go after being released? Well, the Biden administration doesn’t know, even though the majority are given free flights and bus tickets. Recently unearthed emails between DHS officials and a Washington Post reporter expose the fact that the Biden administration has no migrant tracking system. In an email dated September 2022, the reporter asked, “Are more people deciding to settle in DC/New York or, more recently, Chicago as a result of the program where they might have previously been inclined to remain in Texas or Arizona?” The DHS official responded, “Off the record, that’s hard for us to say because they’re getting on those buses after they’re already out of our custody.” In other words, the Biden administration is engaged in the de facto legalization of illegals. Indeed, ICE is planning to mass-release thousands more, effectively saying, “Adios!”
  • Intersectionality fight: Apparently, according to the Left’s woke worldview, the only religious objections allowed against the promulgation of the cult of the Rainbow is anything but Christianity. A case in point comes from the St. Louis Park school district in Minnesota, where students from Muslim families have been given the freedom to opt out of LGBTQ-affirming curriculum. After Muslim Somali families objected to the pro-LGBTQ curriculum and initiated a petition and lawsuit against it, the school district acquiesced and exempted Muslim students. The opposition to indoctrinating students in the cult of the Rainbow in public school came as a surprise to one LGBTQ school board member, who lamented the Muslims’ lack of woke “solidarity.” “I respect your religious beliefs, and also, as a queer person in a marginalized community, I would hope and expect solidarity,” stated Sarah Davis. “Muslim communities have been historically marginalized, and so have queer communities.” Well, as one Muslim parent observed, “We believe that we have a sacred obligation to teach the principles of our faith to our children without being undermined by the schools.” True, and that was what most of the people in this country used to not only believe in but take for granted as a fundamental right as American citizens.
  • Biden admin wants to spread HIV? Joe Biden’s Justice Department has joined the ACLU in a lawsuit against the state of Tennessee over its law that makes it a crime for an individual who knows he is HIV-positive to engage in sex with another person without first disclosing his condition. Citing the Americans With Disabilities Act, the DOJ and ACLU are effectively fighting for the right of people to knowingly spread HIV to unwitting partners. The rationale, according to the DOJ, is that the Tennessee law “discriminates” against people with HIV. The hypocrisy on this is amazing given the fact that the Biden administration sought to mandate the novel COVID vaccine by asserting that anyone who refused the jab was effectively guilty of killing grandma by knowingly spreading the virus. But when it comes to a law that criminalizes knowingly engaging in sexual activity that could spread a deadly disease without alerting others to the danger, it’s seen as “discrimination.” Talk about misplaced priorities.
  • Good news: Prayer app sees huge spike after Super Bowl ad: “I know this might seem out of the blue,” begins Mark Wahlberg, “but I’ve got Jesus here and we were wondering if you might want to pray with us.” So begins a TV ad for the Hallow app, which featured Wahlberg and Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus in the TV series “The Chosen.” The commercial ends with Wahlberg and Roumie encouraging viewers to join Hallow in prayer this Lenten season. Hallow aired its first-ever commercial during Super Bowl LVIII a week ago. That was an expensive ad buy, as you can imagine — $7 million or so for a 30-second spot. Apparently, it was money well spent, though, because right after the airing of the ad, Hallow saw the biggest spike in downloads in its history, according to CEO Alex Jones (no, not that one). “It was the most downloads in a single minute we’d ever seen,” Jones told the Catholic News Agency. “We’re already ranking ahead of Netflix on the App Store charts and Lent hasn’t even started yet. Glory to God.”
  • Leftist media “watchdogs” are killing military recruitment: Readers of these pages know well the unreadiness of our nation’s military, which is due in large part to the unwillingness of America’s young people to serve in Joe Biden’s woke military. This recruiting shortfall is a matter of national security, and Indiana Congressman Jim Banks has isolated one of its causes: leftist media monitors, which downgrade conservative news sites and thereby suppress recruiting advertisements intended for young, conservative Americans. He’s sent a letter to the CEOs of the nation’s leading ad agencies in response. “NewsGuard, as we already know, is a left-wing think tank,” said Banks, a Navy reservist who chairs the House Armed Services Committee’s Subcommittee on Military Personnel, “and we know that they censor conservative outlets.” Don’t get us started on NewsGuard, whose agenda-driven ratings do damage to our humble publication as well. Banks continued, “This is the 50th anniversary of an all-volunteer force in our military, and it’s the worst recruitment year on record.” Banks is right to be alarmed, adding that the Pentagon missed its recruiting goals by 41,000 recruits in 2023 alone. That means we’re a couple of divisions short, folks.

Congress Is Broken

The recent retirement announcements of two talented and patriotic Republican congressmen bodes ill for our nation.

Douglas Andrews

“In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.”

So said Ronald Reagan on January 20, 1981, in his first inaugural address. We were reminded of these words last Wednesday when Tennessee Republican Congressman Mark Green said, “I have come to realize our fight is not here within Washington, our fight is with Washington” (emphasis added).

These are similar thoughts, each an honest assessment of a broken system, but with one big difference: An optimistic Reagan uttered the words on his way into office, while a disgusted Green articulated them on the way out.

“At the start of the 118th Congress,” said Green, who chairs the House Homeland Security Committee, “I promised my constituents to pass legislation to secure our borders and to hold Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas accountable. Today, with the House having passed H.R. 2 and Secretary Mayorkas impeached, it is time for me to return home. In the last few months, in reading the writings of our Framers, I was reminded of their intent for representatives to be citizen-legislators, to serve for a season and then return home.”

And then this: “Our country — and our Congress — is broken beyond most means of repair. I have come to realize our fight is not here within Washington, our fight is with Washington.”

Sad but true. Reagan used to be able to slug it out legislatively with Democrat House Speaker Tip O’Neill, but when 6 p.m. rolled around, the two fighting Irishmen could engage each other with a deep and personal civility. Not so these days. Can anyone imagine sitting down over a beer with Maxine Waters or Adam Schiff?

Green, 59, is a member of the House Freedom Caucus. But it wasn’t always so. Having grown up “on a dirt road in Mississippi,” he went on to graduate from West Point and become a flight surgeon for the Night Stalkers, the nation’s premier special operations aviation unit. He deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan, earning the Bronze Star and the Air Medal with combat “V” for valor. “His most memorable mission,” as his biography notes, “was the capture of Saddam Hussein,” a mission during which he interviewed the Butcher of Baghdad for six hours.

And he’s also “the third committee chairman who would have been eligible to lead their panel next year to say they will leave Congress at the end of the year,” The New York Times reports. “Also [last] week, Representatives Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington, 54, the chairwoman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, and Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin, 39, who heads the select committee on China, announced they would not run for re-election.”

We haven’t heard the last of Mark Green, though. He’s expected to announce a run for Tennessee governor in 2026, and he likely didn’t want to be serving in Congress while running a gubernatorial campaign.

The loss of Gallagher was another big blow. His future seemed exceedingly bright — and it might still be bright, just not as a U.S. congressman. Gallagher, a retired Marine intelligence officer, is one of Capitol Hill’s leading national security experts, and he’s a serious China hawk, chairing the high-profile Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party. And yet he says he’s not running for reelection in November.

In the space of a week, Gallagher, the youngest committee chairman in recent history, cast one of three GOP votes against impeaching Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and then announced he won’t run again. “Electoral politics was never supposed to be a career and, trust me, Congress is no place to grow old,” Gallagher said. “And so, with a heavy heart, I have decided not to run for reelection.”

We wouldn’t want to grow old in Washington, either, but he’s just 39. Gallagher hails from a solidly red district, so reelection would have been a foregone conclusion. Regardless of the reason, we can’t afford to chase away our best and brightest young lawmakers.

“[Being in Congress] appeals to a certain type of person,” writes columnist Ben Domenech, “one comfortable with being away from family, doing constant television hits, and getting into constant scrums with your mirror image on the other side. This is a House that works for Matt Gaetz and Eric Swalwell — not for the people.”

We don’t suspect either Green or Gallagher would argue with that assessment.

At the conclusion of that first inaugural address, Ronald Reagan spoke of the challenge that confronted us. “It does require … our best effort, and our willingness to believe in ourselves and to believe in our capacity to perform great deeds; to believe that together, with God’s help, we can and will resolve the problems which now confront us.”

Today’s challenges are even greater, and with good men like Green and Gallagher leaving behind a broken Congress, it’s hard to share The Gipper’s optimism for fixing things.

January 6 Radicalized Bob Iger

The proof is in a company video that exposes the extreme rot in Disney’s C-suite.

Emmy Griffin

Intrepid journalist Christopher Rufo has uncovered a company video in which Disney CEO Bob Iger seems to admit that what happened on January 6 was a radicalizing factor for him encouraging The Walt Disney Company to become political.

Our first thought is: The BLM riots had been raging, CHAZ had taken over city blocks, and people of all races and creeds were falling victim to the violence. Poor black neighborhoods were taking the brunt of this, and yet it was January 6 that was the sparking factor? Perhaps that’s because the mainstream media was so insistent that the BLM riots were “mostly peaceful” as cities burned in the background of their newscasts.

It’s important to note that at the time of this video, Iger was on his way out of his position as CEO. (He has since returned as CEO.) His failed successor, Bob Chapek, was handpicked by Iger, and it was under Chapek that Disney really rode hard into the culture war agenda and began to face its much-deserved pushback from America at large. Chapek was the one who wrote a letter openly doubling down on the LGBTQ+ agenda at Disney and excoriating Florida’s Parental Rights in Education Act.

One could almost feel sympathy for Chapek … almost. After all, the politicization of culture war issues was Iger’s push. However, everything that has happened since then has exposed the extreme rot in the Disney C-suite. The executives running the once-great entertainment company seemingly hate their own intellectual property and have wantonly destroyed excellent franchises by using woke ideology as their guiding star.

Clearly, the C-suite elites don’t really even like children. Nothing that has been made recently has been for kids but for the messages and ideology Disney wishes to convey. Iger and his leftist cadres care more about pushing culture war perspectives than about telling good stories or keeping the product about what’s best for children. That’s partially because Disney executives and creatives think LGBTQ+ indoctrination, New Age sensibilities, and radical feminism are good for children.

As Hot Air’s David Strom put it: “This isn’t about January 6th, Democrats, MAGA, or anything else. It is using up the resources of a great American corporation in order to fight for a radical ideology most Americans despise because Disney’s top management despises American culture.”

Iger and Disney continue not to get the message. Iger will say good things out of one side of his mouth, but then travesties like “The Marvels” and “Wish” get produced that double down on wokeness.

As the battle for the Disney board seats is hotly underway, the soul of the company is on the line. Iger retaking the reins isn’t slowing down the fiscal disaster that Chapek and those he allowed to destroy this company created. They only have themselves to blame.

What Is DACODAI?

The Defense Advisory Committee on Diversity and Inclusion aims to increase woke recruiting in the military.

Brent Ramsey

The Defense Advisory Committee on Diversity and Inclusion (DACODAI) was formed in 2022. The committee’s website says it is to “examine and provide recommendations to improve racial/ethnic diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity within the DoD [Department of Defense], with a primary focus on military personnel.”

Sounds innocuous. However, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) ideology promotes a radical, un-American belief system. DEI promotes extreme ideas like America is a racist nation, that racism and white supremacy are widespread today, and that whites are oppressors and minorities are oppressed. The committee itself is not diverse. However, the need for DACODAI is questionable, as the DOD’s 2022 demographics report shows the military is extremely diverse, at or above national demographics for race and ethnicity. DACODAI’s own data publicized in December 2023 shows rates on all types of discrimination complaints are tiny fractions of a percent. Examples of military adoption of DEI:

  • $114.7M in FY2024 for military DEI, a substantial increase from 2023.
  • In ongoing litigations against USMA and USNA, both admitted to using admissions practices that consider race and ethnicity. Specific practices of one or both include (1) reserving vacancies for racial “diversity” applicants, (2) using candidate composite score (only a small fraction of which is standardized test score) thresholds that differ by race when making admission decisions, and (3) using out of order of merit selection to achieve racial diversity. Better-qualified white and Asian applicants, some having much higher candidate composite scores, are not selected to make room for lower-scoring “diversity” applicants. These practices unarguably violate constitutional equal protection of the law, deny equal opportunity to hundreds of higher-scoring but non-selected applicants, demean minorities who gain admission based on merit, and, combined with other poor policy choices, lower standards for about 10%-20% of the entering class. These practices have been concealed from Congress and the American people for decades. The result: Warfighters are not always getting the best-qualified leaders.
  • DOD websites and recruiting emphasize DEI. DEI training is continuous and ubiquitous.
  • In 2022, the chief of staff of the Air Force set a goal of no more than 67.5% white pilots. Currently, 90%+ of AF pilots are white.
  • 2023 Navy selection board guidance overtly allows the use of race in selections.
  • Based on their personal experience or those of their children, thousands of current and former military members objected to DEI’s dilution of merit. These voices represent thousands of years of service. They are the voices of experience, and they warn that the path we are on now leads to disunity, division, lower morale, recruiting and retention problems, and, eventually, failure. These testimonies are at STARRS. Meanwhile, zero data shows diversity improves performance, lethality, or readiness.
  • Col (Ret.) Bill Prince, U.S. Army Special Forces with 11 combat deployments, quotes the USMA’s Chief Data Officer, Col. Paul F. Evangelista ‘96, in commenting on attempts to measure the effectiveness of DEI, “We don’t have the data.”
  • BG (Ret.) Ernie Audino, U.S. Army, nails the issue precisely, saying: “If generals are right, i.e. that racial diversity in our officer corps is a ‘national security imperative,’ then the services would at least track racial percentages in their mandatory assessments of unit combat readiness, but they don’t. Racial diversity is not included and never has been.”
  • CDR (Ret.) Phil Keuhlen, USN, is a former commanding officer of a nuclear-powered attack submarine. His analysis of Task Force 1 Navy’s claimed diversity benefits shows the Navy misrepresented source applicability, extended conclusions beyond the data, and ignored source conclusions that gains were due to factors that degrade military effectiveness. His detailed analysis is at RealClearDefense.
  • Col (Ret.) Bing West, USMC, is one of the most decorated combat veterans in our nation’s history. His article, “The Military’s Perilous Experiment,” ought to give our military leaders pause in their headlong pursuit of diversity. He writes: “Inside the military, however, another criterion has taken central booking: diversity. The focus has shifted toward emphasizing gender and racial equality, particularly in leadership positions. Diversity has replaced lethality as the lodestone for the military. … As a Marine veteran, I find this disconcerting. From boot training on, Marines are taught to put aside diversity, not to emphasize it.” The article can be found at the Hoover Institution.

DACODAI met in DC on December 14-15, 2023, and invited public comment. The input submitted by multiple public interest organizations was ignored. This behavior by DACODAI is most disconcerting. To ensure DACODAI will have various ideas, STARRS collaborated with leaders of Calvert Group, Veterans for Fairness and Merit, Flag Officers 4 America, the MacArthur Society, and Take Charge Minnesota in producing recorded, public testimony about DEI’s adverse impacts on the military. This powerful public testimony is available at the STARRS website. It deserves DACODAI’s attention and substantive response. Warfighters know it needs both.

DACODAI will meet again in early May. Americans interested in preserving our military’s unity, cohesion, and readiness to defend us against our enemies are urged to tell them what they think about DEI in our military.

“From The Patriot Post (patriotpost.us)”.

NOT Making Headlines: Russian Dissident Navalny Compared Himself to Trump and His Persecution and Censorship by the Democrats and Biden Regime | The Gateway Pundit.

As reported earlier by Kristinn Taylor, Russian democracy activist Alexei Navalny, 47, reportedly died in a Soviet era gulag located north of the Arctic Circle on Friday, according to the Russian prison authority. Navalny leaves behind his wife, Yulia Navalnaya, and their two children.

Navalny organized anti-government demonstrations and ran for office to advocate reforms against corruption in Russia, and against President Vladimir Putin and his government.

Russian dissident Alexei Navalny is pictured behind bars in prison before his death.

The globalist left is using Navalny’s tragic death as an excuse to ramp up their hopes for a shooting war against nuclear Russia.

At the same time they are blaming President Trump for his death and attacking Trump following news of Navalny’s death.

It should not surprise you that the American mainstream media is censoring significant statements by Alexei Navalny before his death.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported on the Soros-related origins of the Russia collusion conspiracy. Now there is more information on George Soros’ role in Russiagate through the West’s favorite Russian opposition blogger Alexander Navalny.

Activist Alexei Navalny became one of the key figures in the fake Russiagate conspiracy theory when he released a video linking Trump ex-campaign manager Paul Manafort to Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, reported by the Telegraph in February 2018. At the same time, the Telegraph had to admit the video “does not specifically mention Donald Trump”.  In addition, Oleg Deripaska “denied receiving briefings from the Trump campaign, although he admitted hiring Mr. Manafort as a consultant in previous years”, the Telegraph reported. Although it was a “big nothing-burger”, it was fit to print in the NYT.

In 2009, opposition blogger Alexei Navalny emerged as leader of the Russian opposition and was portrayed as a hero by Western media. In 2010, he graduated from a half-year Yale Greenberg World Fellowship, which was originally called White House Fellows under Bill Clinton’s Presidency. The first program director of the Yale World Fellows was Dan Esty, energy and environmental policy adviser for the 2008 Obama campaign.

Soon thereafter, Navalny started an anti-corruption campaign in Russia that was supported early on by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Vladimir Putin accused Secretary Clinton of supporting Navalny in 2011, saying she sent “a signal” to “some actors in our country”.

At the same time, Navalny allegedly went to work for the Open Society Foundations (OSF) methadone program, which aimed to “bring together actors, alliances from different spheres (i.e. Navalny)”, as OSF documents leaked by DC Leaks showed 2015. George Soros supported a whole network of radical left-wing NGOs in Russia before being banned in 2015.

Navalny was closely allied with exiled oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who modeled his “Open Russia Foundation” on Soros’ network. Khodorkovsky’s London-based investigative research unit Dossier, which has often shared hacked documents from unknown sources, was also behind NYT 2018 claims Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya was acting on behalf of the Russian government when she offered allegedly incriminating evidence to Donald Trump. Jr. in the infamous Trump Tower Meeting. It has since emerged Veselnitskaya met with Fusion GPS head Glenn Simpson before and after the June 9 2016 Trump Tower meeting, placing her closer to the Clinton opposition research campaign than the Kremlin.

Alexei Navalny and his brother Oleg were convicted of embezzling 26 million Rubles from French cosmetics firm Yves Rocher, with whom they had a Russian distribution deal  2008 to 2011, the Navalnys were represented in French court in Vannes, Brittany by attorneys William Bourdon and Amélie Lefebre of Association Sherpa, a whistleblower defense which also defended Edward Snowden and is supported by the Clinton Foundation‘s Humanity United, Freedom Fund and the Open Society Foundations. Although the plaintiff was French company Yves Rocher, who also sued for damages in France, Western media depicted it as some sort of sham trial instigated by Vladimir Putin. While Oleg was sent to prison for three years, Alexei Navalny was given a suspended sentence and remains free.

Mikhail Khodorkovsky and Alexei Navalny wrote for leftist flagships The Guardian and the New York Times, where Navalny demanded sanctions against his own country over the Russian annexation of the Crimea 2014 (which many Russians consider a “reunification”). Navalny’s daughter Daria Navalnaya gave a video statement on New York Times Video on June 27, 2019 – a remarkable opportunity for a 17-year-old young woman.

It now emerges George Soros and the Clinton-Obama Democrats (who worked closely together in Eastern Europe from Macedonia to Ukraine) were trying to poison US-Russian relations for years by means of allies like Navalny and Khodorkovsky.

Navalny also compared himself and his persecution by the Putin regime to Donald Trump and his persecution by radical Democrats and the Biden regime.

As Kristinn Taylor noted earlier – Robby Starbuck reposted a comment by Navalny from January 9, 2021 likening his treatment by Putin to that of Trump.

Robby Starbuck: Someone just flagged this for me and it’s pretty wild. When Trump was banned by the old Twitter regime, Navalny came out against it and called it censorship akin to how he as censored in Russia. His post almost foreshadows how Dems would try to remove Trump from the ballot too.

Navalny posted several tweets about the unprecedented abuse hurled at Donald Trump here in America, likening it to his situation in Russia.

Stossel: Media Bias – Subtle (and Not So Subtle) Ways Journalists Slant the News | NewsBusters

On CNN, a “reporter” interviewing Vice President Kamala Harris gushes, “I’m struck, just in your presence! Looking you in the eye, with your passion … ”

Really?

Even Harris looked embarrassed.

My new video shows how the mainstream media treat conservatives and libertarians differently.

We shouldn’t be surprised.

Reporters overwhelmingly lean Democrat. A survey by The American Journalist found that for every Republican in a newsroom, there are 10 Democrats.

The reporters claim to be objective.

They aren’t.

News networks always covered Iowa Caucus victory speeches. Not this year — After Donald Trump won. CNN cut away from his speech, and MSNBC didn’t carry it at all.

Recently, NPR hired a new CEO. They chose Katherine Maher, who once tweeted that “Trump is a racist.” During BLM looting, she tweeted, “It’s hard to be mad about protests not prioritizing the private property of a system of oppression.”

Now she’s the boss of government-funded radio?

Sadly, yes.

Recently, the media got very upset about rule of law. Outraged anchors said, “Texas refuses to give in to federal law.” This was because Texas politicians won’t remove a fence that the feds told them to remove.

An outraged NBC asked, “Why isn’t the Biden administration suing Texas?”

That’s actually a reasonable question. Rule of law deserves discussion.

But when it comes to sanctuary cities, the media show no such outrage.

These places merely “choose not to follow federal immigrations laws,” says an ABC anchor.

They don’t “refuse,” like Texas does.

Finally, it’s absurd how the media label politicians.

Argentina’s new president, Javier Milei, is a libertarian. He wants to shrink his country’s corrupt bureaucracy.

So, the media call him a “far-right radical.”

But we libertarians aren’t “far-right,” or even “right.” Most of us want to end wars. We support free trade, gay marriage, drug decriminalization and other things far from “far-right.”

Milei wants to increase the supply of donated organs by legalizing their sale. That’s not “far-right.” The American Economic Association found 43% of conservatives oppose organ sales.

But the media smear Milei as “far” or “hard” or “extreme right.”

Maybe it’s because he wants to cut the size of the government.

The clueless media like big government.

They exaggerate any proposed cuts.

“Republicans Set on Hurting Their Own Constituents With Draconian Budget Cuts” is an actual Forbes headline. (The magazine went downhill after Steve Forbes stopped running things.)

What were the “draconian” cuts?

Instead of increasing spending by 7.8% last spring, politicians “cut” the increase to 3.9%. How is that a “draconian” cut?

Sometimes the media label anyone who doesn’t agree with them “right-wing.” Or “Donald Trump like.”

Stephen Colbert calls Milei the “Donald Trump of Argentina.”

Yes, Milei has big hair, and he’s good on TV. He’s not a traditional politician. But that doesn’t make him a “Donald Trump of Argentina.”

Milei is for free trade. He opposes protectionist interventions like tariffs. Unlike Trump, he’s an economist who’s smart about economics.

He’s serious about shrinking the state. Trump, by contrast, grew our national debt by $7.8 trillion.

I’ve worked as a reporter for 50 years — for NBC, then CBS, then ABC, then FOX. But now I’ve come to hate most of the media. They scare people to death about minor threats, and spin left while pretending to be neutral. They routinely smear libertarians.

The Guardian headlines, “Libertarian ideology is the natural enemy of science.”

But there is some good news. More people now ignore leftist media.

CNN’s prime-time viewership recently fell behind the History Channel’s, and even behind an obscure channel that just plays old Western movies.

Today, more people get their news from independent journalists who publish in places like Substack and YouTube. Like Stossel TV.

That’s a good trend, because we’re more thoughtful than the biased people on TV.

People vaccinated for Covid have increased risk of neurological diseases – study — RT World News

Data from almost 100 million people compares the expected and observed incidents of side effects

People vaccinated for Covid have increased risk of neurological diseases – study

A big data study of 99 million people across eight countries showed greater than expected incidence of side effects from various Covid

-19 vaccines, the Global Vaccine Data Network (GVDN) said on Monday.

The study, originally published in the medical journal Vaccine on February 12, looked at 13 neurological, blood, and heart-related conditions, called “adverse events of special interest.” Researchers looked at 99,068,901 vaccinated individuals from ten sites in eight countries.

“The size of the population in this study increased the possibility of identifying rare potential vaccine safety signals,” said Kristyna Faksova, the lead author of the study from the Statens Serum Institut in Copenhagen, Denmark.

According to the GVDN, the study observed a greater incidence of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) and pericarditis (inflammation of the heart sac) than expected among those who took the Pfizer/BioNTech (BNT162b2) and Moderna (mRNA-1273) shots.

Moderna’s vaccine also had a higher rate of acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM, inflammation and swelling in the brain and spinal cord), with seven observed events compared to two expected within 42 days of the first shot.

FILE PHOTO.Russia changes mandatory Covid-19 vaccination rules

Safety signals for myocarditis were “consistently identified” following the first three doses of either mRNA shot, with the highest ratio after the second dose. Signals for pericarditis also appeared following the first and fourth doses of mRNA-1273 and were also observed after a third dose of the Oxford/Astra Zeneca (ChAdOx1) viral vector vaccine.

Recipients of ChAdOx1 had 190 observed events of Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) compared to the expected 76, and 69 observed instances of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST, a type of blood clot in the brain) compared to the expected 21, the study has shown.

The GVDN has made the results available to the public on its interactive data dashboards, along with a warning not to read too much into correlations and that the vaccines are both safe and effective.

“By making the data dashboards publicly available, we are able to support greater transparency, and stronger communications to the health sector and public,” GVDN co-director Dr. Helen Petousis-Harris said.

The study was part of the GVDN’s Global COVID Vaccine Safety Project and was funded entirely by a $10 million grant from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

House Dems Furious After Guest Chaplain Dares to Tell Truth About Liberal America | The Gateway Pundit.

Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel in Chino Hills, California, prays in Congress on Jan. 30.

Hell hath no fury like the righteous wrath of God. Second to that, apparently, hell hath no fury like politicians told that, dead in their sin, they will receive that righteous wrath.

Meet Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel, a church in Chino Hills, California. Hibbs is a theological and political conservative, one gathers from his X feed, and is the author of the recently released “Living in the Daze of Deception: How to Discern Truth from Culture’s Lies.”

On Jan. 30, he was invited by House Speaker Mike Johnson to give the invocation as the guest chaplain in the House of Representatives, where his prayer called upon God to “hear my cry in this hour of great need that we might be humbly blessed before You in repentance of our national sins.”

This, more or less, flew under the radar for the better part of the month of February — until a letter sent to the speaker of the House and signed by 26 House Democrats last week accused Hibbs of being “an ill-qualified hate preacher” who was pushing a “Christian nationalist agenda,” according to Roll Call.

Furthermore, the Democrats linked the calls for “repentance of our national sins” and the need for “holy fear” to “allusions to the militant and fanatical agenda he preaches about the LGBTQ community, Jews, Muslims, and anyone who conflicts with his ‘biblical worldview.’”

“After we picked our jaws up off the floor upon learning that this hate preacher had been allowed to give a guest invocation, I think many of us decided we need to start calling this out,” Rep. Jared Huffman of California, author of the letter, told Roll Call.

Huffman, who self-identifies as an atheist according to The Washington Times, apparently took a long time to get his jaw off the floor, since the two-and-a-half page letter was only sent out Feb. 15, two full weeks after the fact.

In the letter, the Democrats accused Johnson of not following protocol in various ways, including acting as sponsor to Hibbs even though Hibbs is not from his congressional district. Johnson represents a district in Louisiana.

Furthermore, they claimed Hibbs was a “radical Christian Nationalist who helped fuel the January 6th insurrection and [who] has a long record of hateful vitriol toward non-Christians, immigrants, and members of the LGBTQ community.”

“As if spreading election lies and providing religious support and cover for the January 6th insurrection was not enough to disqualify Hibbs from being a Guest Chaplain, Hibbs also has a hateful and divisive public record on civil and human rights,” the letter stated.

“When his opening prayer invoked ‘holy fear’ and ‘repentance’ for ‘national sins,’ these were allusions to the militant and fanatical agenda he preaches about the LGBTQ+ community, Jews, Muslims, and anyone who conflicts with his ‘biblical worldview.’”

The prayer in full does nothing of the sort.

Hibbs called for “repentance of national sins” — and the Bible teaches that we’re all sinners, though it’s not as if the Democrats (and some Republicans) have made a secret out of the fact they believe the Bible is a book of quaint suggestions, not holy Scripture, and must be treated as such in matters of sexual sin and other forms of “tolerance.”

Hibbs might also have irked a few in the chamber by noting that they’d be judged by the standards of the Bible.

“Please come upon those here, who are the stewards over the business of our nation, with Your wisdom which comes from above and with Your
holy fear, knowing that Your coming day of judgment draws near when all who have been and are now in authority will answer to You, the great judge of heaven and of Earth,” he said.

As The Washington Times noted, Hibbs “has been targeted for years by LGBTQ+ activists and media for his high-profile opposition to gay marriage and transgenderism.”

As for the supposed hatred of “Jews, Muslims, and anyone who conflicts with his ‘biblical worldview,’” you will not be surprised that most of the examples Huffman cited in his letter are two- or three-word out-of-context quotes linked to out-of-context articles or clips by supposedly unbiased arbiters like Media Matters for America or the social media account Right Wing Watch.

The letter also demanded Johnson “please explain why the Chaplaincy has continued to prevent Members from sponsoring certain fully qualified Guest Chaplains such as Representative Mark Pocan’s constituent, Nontheistic Chaplain Dan Barker.”

Mr. Barker, that “nontheistic chaplain” (an evident contradiction in terms akin to “jumbo shrimp”), is actually the head of the Freedom From Religion Foundation, the litigious anti-Christian troll group.

Furthermore, the idea that the individual being invited to be guest chaplain must be in the district of the invitee is an awfully fungible one, especially when one considers that, according to the Times, as recently as Nov. 9, Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff of California invited Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church, to give the invocation. Aram lives in Antelias, Lebanon.

(Aram’s prayer, along with other daily prayers in the House and Senate, can be found here.)

And, as for the connection with Jan. 6 or “Christian nationalism” — little evidence was proffered or needed, apparently, aside from more out-of-context quotes. Hibbs told the Times that he “would challenge Huffman ‘to produce any connection I have with Jan. 6, because I do take that as a slanderous statement when in reality, I had nothing to do with it.’”

But then, that really has nothing to do with the letter.

Huffman and Co. are angry because someone called legislators who blatantly ignore the Bible and push for laws that mandate parents and doctors must be given the right to chemically and surgically mutilate minors in the name of “transgender tolerance” are guilty of “national sin” and are required to repent, as the Bible commands.

If Rep. Huffman or the 25 other Democrats who signed onto this letter don’t believe this, that’s fine. They are not required, in this world, to believe in God or follow His Word. Nobody is forcing them.

All Pastor Hibbs said on Jan. 30 was that, eventually, those who mock God and His law will be called before Him to answer for their transgressions. All of the out-of-context pull-quotes from Media Matters and scary terms like “Christian nationalism” isn’t going to affect His judgment on their actions.

The choice to heed or disregard Pastor Hibbs’ warning is theirs.

God’s judgment isn’t.

Democrats Concerned Biden May Be Too Old To Finish Destroying Country | Babylon Bee

Article Image

WASHINGTON, D.C. — At a secret meeting of high-ranking party leadership, Democrats expressed grave concern that President Joe Biden may be too old to complete their party’s mission of the utter destruction of the country.

Though Democratic Party power-brokers agree that Biden has served his purpose well in helping to push the United States closer to the brink of collapse, they agree that his advanced age may make it impossible for him to finish the job.

“It’s a shame he’s so old because he’s done such a tremendous job of being awful,” said one party official. “We’ve never seen a leader with such an innate, natural gift for steering the country toward utter annihilation. It’s been truly impressive to see the horrific results he has achieved in just a few years. Unfortunately, he may not last long enough to finish it off.”

Leading Democrats fear they may be forced to turn to a replacement to ensure the country’s demise. “There’s certainly a danger that the country will still be standing when President Biden leaves office,” said Jaime Harrison, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. “He’s made a lot of progress in just one term in office, and we know a second term would be more than enough time to wipe the United States out of existence… but it looks like Joe’s just not going to make it.”

At publishing time, after considering alternatives like Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom, Democrats unanimously agreed that keeping Biden in office after his death would give them the best chance of achieving their ultimate goal.

Chaos Erupts! We Are Witnessing Riots, Protests And Civil Unrest All Over The Western World In 2024 | The Economic Collapse.

Order is breaking down all over the western world as governments lose control of their populations.  Farmers have been holding angry protests throughout Europe, enormous groups of migrants have been rioting on a regular basis, looting has become a way of life in many communities in the United States, and now truckers are calling for a historic boycott of New York City.  We are witnessing very alarming explosions of anger and frustration all over the western world right now, and there are no easy answers because most of us have lost faith in those that are governing us.

I would like to start by discussing the rioting that just took place in the Netherlands.  A fight between two rival groups of Eritreans resulted in a massive riot which transformed the streets of the Hague into a war zone

A violent riot erupted on the streets of the Hague last night, as ‘migrants’ attacked cops with bricks and torched police cars.

Dozens of rioters were filmed surrounding the Opera conference hall along Fruitweg in the Netherlands, as multiple police vans drove to the scene.

Another clip also showed the aftermath. The building had several smashed windows and parked vehicles were on fire, with the street left looking like a warzone.

A fight broke out between two groups of Eritreans. ‘It got seriously out of hand,’ The Hague Municipality spokesman Robin Middel said last night.

“Seriously out of hand” is a major understatement.

It is going to take a very long time to repair the immense damage that was caused by the rioters.

Elsewhere in Europe, there were “angry clashes between police and demonstrators” when a couple hundred thousand pro-Palestinian protesters flooded into central London on Saturday

A video has shown angry clashes between police and demonstrators during a pro-Palestine march in central London today which is estimated to have attracted between 200,000 and 250,000 to the capital.

A total of eleven people have been arrested, including at least on suspicion of support for a proscribed organisation, with the demonstration scheduled to end near the Israeli embassy, with pictures showing police lined up in front of it, apparently to guard it.

Needless to say, such a sizable protest never would have happened 20 years ago.

But in recent times millions of migrants have been pouring into Europe, and the EU just passed a “migration pact” which will completely open the floodgates

The EU has passed a migration pact dubbed “the suicide of Europe” which could lead to the continent being flooded with as many as 75 million new migrants.

The European Parliament’s LIBE committee passed the act on Wednesday, which formalizes the distribution of migrants to member states and punishes those that refuse to take them.

Because cultural enrichment and diversity is “our greatest strength,” countries that try to maintain their national identity without being subsumed by migrants will be hit with severe financial penalties.

Marine Le Pen, the leader of National Rally’s parliamentary wing, previously said the pact would lead to “the suicide of Europe,” adding that it was a deal with the devil and represents an “organized plan of submersion of Europe and the nations which compose it.”

Of course it isn’t just migrants that have been taking to the streets.

In recent weeks, vast numbers of farmers throughout Europe have been expressing their deep displeasure with those that are ruling over them…

Farmers are holding protests across Europe, clogging the streets with their tractors, blocking ports and pelting the European Parliament with eggs over a long list of complaints from environmental regulation to excessive red tape.

“We are no longer making a living from our profession,” one aggrieved farmer in Paris told CNN.

While some of the most dramatic protests have been in France, similar action has been taking place in a host of countries including Italy, Spain, Romania, Poland, Greece, Germany, Portugal and the Netherlands.

Normally farmers are not radical activists.

But they have been pushed way too far, and they have decided that enough is enough.

Here in the United States, truckers that are infuriated by the verdict that was just handed down in New York City are pledging to boycott the Big Apple from this point forward

Some Trump-supporting truckers are refusing to transport loads to and from New York City after the former president was fined $355 million and had his ability to run businesses in the state suspended in Friday’s civil fraud verdict.

A pro-Trump truck driver known as “Chicago Ray” posted a video to X following the verdict, sharing that he and several of his colleagues are declining NYC delivery jobs due to Manhattan Judge Arthur Engoron’s ruling.

“I’ve been on the radio talking to drivers for about the last… hour and 15 minutes… I’ve talked to at least ten drivers… they’re going to start refusing loads to New York City starting on Monday,” Ray said.

Will this boycott be widespread enough to make a huge difference?

I don’t know.

But if enough truck drivers joined the boycott, it could certainly cause a lot of pain.

As Zero Hedge has pointed out, truck drivers move “between 70% to 73% of all freight in the United States”…

Truck drivers transport between 70% to 73% of all freight in the United States. Therefore, when truckers begin discussing plans on social media to boycott loads to progressive hellhole New York City, it’s important to pay attention.

Following the verdict, many business owners in New York City were concerned that they could receive the same treatment that Trump just received.

In response, New York Governor Kathy Hochul explained that business owners have nothing to fear as long as they are “law-abiding and rule-following”

New York Governor Kathy Hochul attempted to reassure business owners in New York that they have nothing to fear after the state’s Attorney General fleeced $355 million from President Trump for running a business in the state.

Hochul told John Catsimatidis on “The Cats Roundtable” on WABC 770 AM where she was asked if other New York businesspeople should be worried that if “they can do that to the former president, they can do that to anybody.”

According to Hochul: “I think that this is really an extraordinary unusual circumstance that the law-abiding and rule-following New Yorkers who are business people have nothing to worry about because they’re very different than Donald Trump and his behavior.”

Do you think that such a statement will make anyone feel better?

Of course not.

There is so much anger over what just happened.  At this point, Wayne Allyn Root is calling for a nationwide boycott of the entire city

All 100 million of us must boycott New York City. No more vacations there. No business trips. No more attending conventions. No Christmas trips to see the Rockettes and the tree at Rockefeller Center. No more clothes shopping on Fifth Avenue. No Broadway shows. No more spending at hotels or fancy restaurants. Just say, “NO!”

Ask every store or online site you buy from, “Are you based in New York City?” If they are, find someone else to buy from.

All of the examples that I have shared in this article share a common theme.

The elite are losing their grip and are having a very difficult time maintaining order.

This is happening despite a very sophisticated campaign to censor the Internet and control what we think.

It just isn’t working.

They are trying to pull our strings, but most of us are no longer obeying.

And in many of our communities, social order is totally breaking down.  As I mentioned earlier, there are some parts of the country where looting has become a way of life

By now it’s a familiar scene: a group of seven men walked into a a clothing retailer Thursday wearing face coverings and robbed the place blind in broad daylight, walking out with armloads of merchandise while the store was still open. But this wasn’t San Francisco or Los Angeles, it was in Memphis last week, and the retailer says this was one of more than 60 similar incidents to happen in the last year in their Memphis area stores alone.

According to WREG-TV, police released surveillance video of the alleged shoplifting gang who walked out of a local City Gear store carrying armloads of pilfered merchandise. Police say, after reviewing the footage, that at least seven individuals participated in the organized theft. Neither police, nor City Gear’s parent corporation Hibbett have released an exact dollar amount of the merchandise that was stolen, but it was described as a “large amount.”

At this point, things have gotten so crazy that it really takes a lot to shock me.

But I was shocked by one story that I read earlier today.

One man that had just been released from prison decided to hijack a car hauler truck that was transporting 10 Chevrolet C8 Corvettes

Fox 10 Phoenix reports that a 23-year-old man, freshly out of jail, hijacked a tractor-trailer loaded with exotic sports cars, telling law enforcement after he was caught, he simply needed a ride.

According to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Department in Phoenix, Arizona, the suspect, Isaiah Walker, “assaulted and robbed” a truck driver at a Willcox Loves Truck Stop.

“Walker grabbed the victim and threw him from the cab,” the sheriff’s department wrote on Facebook.

The suspect then “entered the vehicle, locked the door, stole the vehicle, and drove it from the parking lot,” the sheriff’s department continued, adding the truck was hauling ten Chevrolet C8 Corvettes with an estimated value above $1.25 million.

Sadly, this is just the beginning.

2024 is less than two months old, and I believe that by the end of this year we are going to see far more chaos than we are witnessing now.

So watch your back and keep your head on a swivel, because we are entering a time when danger will potentially be lurking around every corner.
