There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true. —Soren Kierkegaard. "…truth is true even if nobody believes it, and falsehood is false even if everybody believes it. That is why truth does not yield to opinion, fashion, numbers, office, or sincerity–it is simply true and that is the end of it" – Os Guinness, Time for Truth, pg.39. “He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright.” – Blaise Pascal. "There is but one straight course, and that is to seek truth and pursue it steadily" – George Washington letter to Edmund Randolph — 1795. We live in a “post-truth” world. According to the dictionary, “post-truth” means, “relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.” Simply put, we now live in a culture that seems to value experience and emotion more than truth. Truth will never go away no matter how hard one might wish. Going beyond the MSM idealogical opinion/bias and their low information tabloid reality show news with a distractional superficial focus on entertainment, sensationalism, emotionalism and activist reporting – this blogs goal is to, in some small way, put a plug in the broken dam of truth and save as many as possible from the consequences—temporal and eternal. "The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it." – George Orwell “There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” ― Soren Kierkegaard
(The Dissenter) We at The Dissenter have been warning about The Gospel Coalition (TGC) and its clones like Together for the Gospel (T4G) for years and years upon years and concluded that these organizations were compromised in such a way that they shouldn’t even be called “Christian.” Yet, Evangelical churches around the globe still flocked to these organizations because of the notoriety of those involved in them. Names like Tim Keller, Don Carson, Al Mohler, Russell Moore, etc., are like Apostles in the eyes of today’s compromised church leadership.
However, in a recent Q&A, John MacArthur poured a little bit of water on that fire by calling out these woke institutions for what they are. When asked by a member about these organizations, he said that when they started out, they seemed to have noble intentions to bring people together and unite them around the gospel. He said that when they “bought into the deceptiveness of the woke movement and the racial baiting that was going on a couple of years ago,” that it “quickly put them out of business.” View article →

JERUSALEM, Israel – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said no form of pressure can compel Israel to cease its military operations in Gaza before achieving its set goals, including the release of hostages, even as fighting persists in Gaza and Northern Israel despite international calls for a ceasefire.
Netanyahu, addressing the nation’s stance, said, “We really want to achieve another (hostage) release and we are also willing to go a long way, but we are not ready to pay any price, certainly not to pay the illusory prices that Hamas demands from us, which would mean defeat for the State of Israel.”
He further emphasized the non-negotiable goal of the military campaign: “We are committed to continuing the war until we achieve all of its goals, which means the elimination of Hamas, the release of all the hostages and the promise that Gaza will no longer pose a threat to Israel. There is no pressure, no pressure, that can change that.”
Elon Musk has been nominated for a Nobel Peace prize for being a stanch defender of free speech.
Musk has gone on the record, saying that this was one of the main reasons he bought Twitter/X in the first place and speech on the platform has definitely flowed more freely since he took over.
Musk has certainly done more for humanity than Obama ever did when he received a Nobel prize.
Elon Musk nominated for Nobel Peace Prize for being ‘stout proponent of free speech’
Billionaire Elon Musk — whose businesses range from satellites to social media — was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize by a Norwegian lawmaker who praised the X owner as a “stout proponent for free speech.”
Marius Nilsen, a Norwegian member of parliament who is a member of the libertarian Progress Party, said he put forward Musk’s name due to his “adamant defense of dialogue, free speech and [enabling] the possibility to express one’s views” in a “continuously more polarized world.”
Nilsen also praised Musk for providing Starlink satellite internet connectivity to Ukrainian soldiers who were in dire straits following the launch of the Russian invasion of their country two years ago.
“The multitude of tech companies Musk has founded, owns or runs, aimed at bettering societies, increasing knowledge of both earth and space, in addition to enabling communication and connectivity globally… has helped make the world a more connected and safer place,” Nilsen said.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee, which decides the winner of the award from a list of several hundred nominations ever year, accepts nominations from government officials as well as people in academia.
Musk is a good choice for this.
Yes, the Nobel Prize for Elon Musk.
Simply put, Elon Musk—a figure synonymous with groundbreaking innovations and transformative technologies—has driven a transformative impact on multiple fronts, meriting serious consideration for the Nobel Prize.
The core beliefs of the Christian faith are pretty basic. They are found in Scripture both directly and indirectly. I will list them out and then discuss them.
There is only one God in all places and all time.
God is a Trinity.
Jesus is God in the flesh.
Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary.
Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead bodily.
Jesus is the only way to be saved.
The Gospel
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone.
You must be born again.
The Bible is the word of God.
There is only one God in all places and all time.
This is a pretty basic doctrine. In Christianity, there is only one God in all places, in all times, in all locations, in all dimensions ((Isa. 43:10; 44:6, 8; 45:5). He has always been God and cannot stop being God. Also, the Christian God is unique in that he is a Trinity (discussed below). He is independent of all things and is without beginning or end (Psalm 90:2). He is the ultimate source (Rom. 4:17) of all truths (Psalm 31:5; Eph. 1:11), all actualities (Gen. 1:1; Isa. 44:24), and all potentialities (Luke 10:13; John 15:22). He created the universe (Gen. 1:1; Isa. 42:5).
God is a Trinity.
The Trinity is one God in whom are three eternal, distinct, and simultaneous persons – the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. All three are the one God, coeternal, coequal, etc. Yet there is only one God, not three gods, and not one person who took three modes, offices, or forms. (Isa. 44:6,8; 45:5; Gen. 1:26-27; 3:22; Matt. 3:17; 28:19; Luke 9:35; 2 Cor. 13:14). Personhood relates to the characteristics of identity, such as having a will, being able to love, recognizing others as well as oneself, etc. It is not saying that each person is human or that each person is a god.” https://carm.org/about/carm-statement-of-faith
Jesus is God in the flesh.
Jesus Christ is the Word (God) who became a man and dwelt among us (John 1:1,14; Col. 2:9). He has two natures: human and divine. Yet, He is one person, not two. He is presently a man in a glorified body (John 2:19-31; 1 Cor. 15:34-45). Without Jesus, we don’t have Christianity. In fact, the Bible is about Him (John 5:39).
Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary.
Jesus Christ was miraculously conceived and born of the virgin Mary (Luke 1:42) by the work of the Holy Spirit (Matt. 1:18; Luke 1:35). Mary was a virgin after the birth of Jesus until Joseph, and she had relations and had other children (Matt. 1:25; 13:55; Mark 6:2-3; John 2:12; Acts 1:14; 1 Cor. 9:4-5; Gal. 1:19).
Above, I mentioned that Jesus was God in the flesh. The fancy term for this is the hypostatic union. Again, it means that Jesus is both God and man at the same time. This is difficult to maintain if Joseph, Mary’s husband, had relations with her and produced Jesus. Instead, the Holy Spirit came upon Mary, and she conceived (Matt. 1:18). She remained a virgin until after the birth of Christ (Matt. 1:25).
Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead bodily.
Jesus rose from the dead in the same body He died in after being in the grave for three days (John 2:19-21). His resurrected body is called a glorified body. It retained His crucifixion wounds (John 20:25-28). Without the resurrection of Jesus, the Christian faith is not true. 1 Corinthians 15:14, “and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.”
Jesus is the only way to be saved.
Because Jesus is God in the flesh or died on the cross and rose from the dead, it proves that what He said was true. In light of this, Jesus claimed to be the only way to salvation. John 14:6, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” Therefore, another core belief of Christianity is that there is no other way than Jesus to be saved. Of all the prophets out there in the world, none of them can save you. Only Jesus can.
The Gospel
The gospel is a core belief because of what it says in Galatians 1:8, “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!” Okay, so what is the gospel? It is that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, died, and rose again. Again, let’s take a look at scripture.
1 Corinthians 15:1–4, “Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,”
Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone.
Salvation is being saved from the righteous judgment of God that will be upon all who have not trusted in Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins. Salvation is obtained by grace (unearned favor) alone, through faith alone, in the work of Christ alone (John 3:16; 14:6). This salvation is not by any of our good works (Rom. 3:28; 4:1-5; 5:1; Eph. 2:8-9; Gal. 3:1-4; Matt. 7:22-23).
You must be born again.
“Jesus answered and said to him, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God’” (John 3:3). But, what does it mean to be born again? Basically, it means that we are “regenerated.” This means we are changed because Jesus and God the Father live inside of us (John 14:23). Because of this, we are made new creatures (2 Cor. 5:17). In other words, we are different because God then lives in us. We are the same people we used to be, but when we become born again, we seek to live like Jesus. Praise God
The Bible is the word of God.
According to Christianity, the Bible is the inspired word that came from God (2 Tim. 3:16). Ultimately, everything in it points to Jesus (John 5:39). So, we learn from the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. The totality of 66 books written over about 1600 years on three continents and in three languages is full of wisdom, history, and prophecy. The latter points to Jesus who is the fulfillment of Scriptures (Luke 24:45).
Conclusion
So there you have the core beliefs of Christianity. These are basic, but they will give you a proper understanding of what Christianity teaches and what it is about. But basically, it’s about Jesus, who he is, and what he did on the cross. This is the only way we can be forgiven of our sins. So, without Jesus, there is no Christianity. He is our Savior
The notion that Jesus did not judge people for their sins is historically absurd. What he did do that the Pharisees didn’t was to communicate that God has a generous offer of forgiveness and empowerment for those who repent and believe.
There is no “good news” in the “He Gets Us” Superbowl commercial. Indeed, on their website the “He Gets Us” folk offer an anti-gospel message for “LGBTQ” persons.
I. No “Good News” in the “He Gets Us” Superbowl Commercial
The “He Gets Us” folk are not “wisely presenting the good news.” There is no “good news” in the message, because there is no “repent and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15). There is no message of Jesus’ transformative power to save lives by liberating people from a life under sin’s control.
It is that simple. “Jesus didn’t teach hate. He washed feet” is not the gospel message. Indeed, it is arguably an anti-gospel message because it is at best a truncated gospel, “another gospel,” which is always no gospel (Galatians 1:6-9).
You’ll note that the “He Gets Us” folk didn’t show any pictures of Christians washing the feet of racists or exploiters of the poor. That is because they know that such a scene would communicate that racists and economic exploiters don’t have to repent.
Calling racists and economic exploiters out for their sins rather than leaving them to decide for themselves whether they are sinning would not be “hate.” In steering clear of such images, the “He Gets Us” folk show that they know that their message of “Jesus didn’t teach hate. He washed feet” implies acceptance of sin.
The implication of the Superbowl commercial is that those who speak out against the culture’s pro-abortion and pro-“LGBTQ”-immorality message are “teaching hate” rather than “washing feet.” There is nothing in this ad that could not be said by vapid left-wing “liberal” or “woke” Christianity.
The notion that Jesus did not judge people for their sins is historically absurd. What he did do that the Pharisees didn’t was to communicate that God has a generous offer of forgiveness and empowerment for those who repent and believe.
II. The Anti-Gospel Website Message of “He Gets Us” for “LGBTQ” Persons
According to the “He Gets Us” website: “Many of those who represent Jesus have made people in the LGBTQ+ community feel judged and excluded. And others in the Jesus community have simply ignored their stories and lived experiences. So let us be clear in our opinion. Jesus loves gay people and Jesus loves trans people. The LGBTQ+ community, like all people, is invited to explore the story of Jesus and consider his example of unconditional love, grace, and forgiveness of others. No matter who you are, YOU are invited to explore the story of Jesus and consider what it means for your life.”
People do stand under divine judgment for behavior that dishonors the person created in God’s image (see Romans 1:18-3:20, 3:23 for that.) It is in the light of that judgment that we find grace. Grace is needed only when one realizes that the only hope is to return the offer of forgiveness and transformative Spirit-empowerment for those who turn from their sin to embrace the message of the gospel.
Nowhere does the Jesus of the Gospels entertain the “stories and lived experiences” of those pursuing a sinful identity. Jesus isn’t interested in the “stories and lived experiences of exploitative tax collectors and sexually immoral sinners, which would only perpetuate the sympathy for sin.
People have to repent of immoral lives, all the more so when their identity is defined by their immorality, an immorality that challenges the very foundation of sexual ethics as defined by Jesus.
All are welcome who follow this prescription and stand under the shadow of the cross. Jesus reaches out to “gay people” and “trans people” to leave a life of sexual immorality, offering them abundant forgiveness and transformative power in exchange. He doesn’t keep quiet about the necessity of knowing that they should “no longer be sinning, lest something worse happen to you.” Contrary to Jesus, the “He Gets Us” people thinks otherwise.
President Joe Biden looks out the window of the Oval Office to the Rose Garden of the White House Monday, July 26, 2021. (Official White House photo by Adam Schultz)
Joe Biden’s mental flubs and blunders have been apparent for all to see for years already. Of late, they’ve escalated, with him calling on a dead member of Congress at a news conference, with his relating his conversations with foreign leaders, when those leaders were dead.
Then came that damning special counsel report that confirmed Biden likely broke federal law by taking and keeping classified documents, but he wasn’t going to be charged because of his “diminished” mental faculties.
Already, some 8 in 10 say he’s too old to serve another term, and a number of lawmakers have suggested he’s no longer capable of doing his job because of dementia.
The report said, now, “Dozens of House Republicans signed a letter calling on Mr. Biden to take a cognitive test or else be subjected to removal from office under the 25th Amendment.”
That amendment deals with succession for a president who is incapacitated and no longer functioning.
“The lawmakers were responding to special counsel Robert K. Hur’s report on Mr. Biden’s retention of classified documents. Mr. Hur documented the president’s inability to recall critical information, including when his son Beau died. He said the president’s memory lapses were so significant that prosecuting him for improperly handling classified documents would be impossible,” the report said.
The coalition from Congress charged, “If you are too mentally impaired to stand trial, as your own Department of Justice claims, then we are concerned that your mental state is not at a competent level to serve as the leader of the free world.”
The report noted Dr. Angel Boev, a neurosurgeon who has not examined Biden, said, “It’s inevitable he’s progressed to where he is.”
He cited previously operations Biden had to resolve aneurysms, plus his aging, 81.
“He said the two operations involved removing small parts of the frontal lobe on both sides of the brain, which can impact cognitive functioning,” the Times said.
“”Those two operations started a downward spiral, which has led to what we’re seeing now as the end result.”
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., running for president as an independent, challenged Biden to “come out and debate and to show the American public that he has the cognitive capacity” for the job.
White House insiders claim Biden continues to function with full faculties, even though cameras have caught their instructions to Biden when he heads into meetings to include, “YOU take YOUR seat,” “YOU speak” and the like.
His spokeswoman, Karine Jean-Pierre, has said, in a statement that falls short of documenting Biden’s ability, that he “proves every day how he operates and how he thinks.”
Biden’s annual physical a year ago revealed he was “healthy” but included no assessment of his cognitive abilities. When Democrats demanded President Donald Trump prove his abilities, he took such a test and aced it.
Biden also has recently taken tumbles while riding a bike, and has fallen several times while walking. Officials say that’s because of osteoarthritis in his back.
His physical did exclude factors such as strokes, multiple sclerosis or Parkinson’s.
The report explained that in 2011, the Affordable Care Act, which Biden advanced during the Barack Obama administration, “added an annual ‘wellness visit’ for all Medicare beneficiaries requiring ‘cognitive assessments’ for those 65 and older.”
The Times noted that even longtime Biden advocates, like the New York Times, now have said Biden’s memory issues are “relevant.”

Since 2018, five mass shooters have identified as transgender or were gender-confused. Are we allowed to talk about this growing phenomenon?
Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, home of megachurch pastor Joel Osteen, was the site of an attempted mass shooting on February 11.
During a Sunday afternoon Spanish-language service, a woman armed with an AK-15 and dressed in a trench coat stormed the church with her 7-year-old son and proceeded to open fire on the congregation.
Almost immediately, she was shot and killed by two off-duty police officers who were already present at the scene—but not before the shooter’s son and a 57-year-old man were also shot.
While the man has been released from hospital, the boy is still fighting for his life.
In the aftermath of the shooting, the attacker was identified as 36-year-old Genesse Moreno, an El Salvador national with a long rap sheet and a history of mental health problems.
Among the other details to emerge were that she had the word “Palestine” emblazoned across her weapon, had left behind her a trail of antisemitic writings, and regularly went by the name Jeffery Escalante.
The latter detail sparked widespread speculation that the shooter was transgender—as well as loud condemnations, from all the usual suspects, that such a possibility might even be countenanced.
Houston PD ran an entire investigation to figure out which pronouns to use for the shooter at Lakewood Church: pic.twitter.com/Mmt7zhpiim
The Federalist’s label for Moreno, in a February 14 report, as “gender-confused” seems at least reasonable, given her penchant for identifying as “Jeffery”—a name even her ex-husband used for her.
As we wait for more details to emerge, it seems relevant to ask the question: When can we talk about trans mass shooters?
As TheEpoch Timesreported last month, “Since 2018, five people who identified as transgender or were gender-confused have gone on killing sprees at schools and businesses.” Looking at the statistics in more depth, they note:
The number of people aged 13 and older who identify as transgender in the United States is estimated to be about 1.6 million, or 0.6 percent of that population, according to the Williams Institute on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Law and Public Policy.
And although 0.6 percent of the 13-and-older population identifies as transgender, 5.4 percent of the mass shootings in recent years involved gender-confused individuals.
Assuming these numbers are correct, trans and gender-confused shooters are overrepresented ninefold.
Thus, while it would be a stretch to call this an epidemic of trans shooters, trans shootings have certainly become a classification of mass shootings.
The 17-year-old Iowan male who shot up his high school in January was known to flirt with inaccurate pronouns and transgender ideology.
The 28-year-old woman who shot and killed three children and three staff at a small Christian school in Nashville in March 2023 went by a male name and referred to herself with male pronouns.
The 22-year-old man who shot and killed five and injured dozens more at a Colorado Springs nightclub in November 2022 told courts he is ‘nonbinary’ and uses ‘they/them pronouns,’ and asked to be referred to as ‘Mx.’ instead of ‘Mr.’ by his lawyers.
The 16-year-old female who, along with another teen, shot up the middle school and high school sections of a Denver-area charter school masqueraded as a man and demanded people call her by a male name.
The 26-year-old female who shot and killed three employees and herself at a Rite Aid distribution center in Maryland in 2018 told family and friends she was trans.
Perhaps most troubling is that, while the legacy press is ever eager to highlight a person’s transgender identity if he or she falls victim to a crime, they willfully neglect to mention it when a trans or gender-confused person perpetrates one.
This was especially the case with the Nashville transgender shooter, whose woke manifesto was buried by the authorities for months and came to light thanks only to a whistleblower who leaked it to the media.
It goes without saying that we should not demonize an entire group of people based on the actions of a few.
On the other hand, people from certain identity groups should not be given special immunity from the media or the authorities. Politicians and the media have been quick to point to people’s race, beliefs, or identity in other cases—why not in the case of transgender shooters? The public must be allowed to ask questions.
Among them: What role do cross-sex hormones play in changing brain chemistry? Does taking testosterone make a person more likely to commit violence? Does “transitioning”—and, in particular, medicalization of the issue —actually result in better outcomes? Has it resulted in overall good for society to no longer treat gender dysphoria as a mental illness but instead as a matter of identity and pride?
Being allowed to talk about trans mass shooters means being allowed to ask the questions that should be asked with the urgency those questions deserve. And ultimately, it means providing the best help possible for those who need it—and safer societies for all of us.
In France, a new law was passed with virtually no debate that would see citizens jailed for up to three years for criticising mRNA treatments.
On Wednesday, February 14th a highly controversial law was pushed through the National Assembly in France, potentially turning a critic of mRNA treatment into a criminal. The draconian law, which was quietly passed with virtually no debate, could throw anyone who advises against the use of therapeutic or prophylactic treatment (including experimental mRNA gene therapy) into prison for up to three years and pay a hefty fine of 45,000 euros.
A screenshot of the law “aimed at strengthening the fight against sectarian excesses” can be viewed below.
The bill was initially proposed in 2022 following a report from (Miviludes) the Interministerial Mission for Vigilance and Fight Against Sectarian Abuses. It is the inclusion of the creation of an offense to punish ‘provocation to abandonment or abstention of care’ that has sparked such fierce controversy.
The French government’s alleged reasoning for this measure is that they hope it will help convict pseudo-therapists and protect victims of sectarian abuses.
Tkp, a blog for science and politics, reported on the bombshell news, with a particular focus on Article 4 of the new law. The report reads “It was a hard-fought issue, but the Macron regime ultimately got its way. Article 4 is central to the new law, which was first deleted but then reinstated. This creates a new criminal offense and criminalizes the “request to stop or refrain from therapeutic or prophylactic medical treatment” as well as “the request to use practices that are presented as therapeutic or prophylactic.” This means that any resistance to mRNA treatment (and other corporate medical methods) can be criminalized in the future.’
An English translation of Article 4, which comes under the heading of “Protecting health” can be read below.
Initially, the French government failed to pass this new law but after some careful rewording it was adopted with 151 votes to 73, virtually without debate.
The French parliamentary correspondence reported: ‘Brigitte Liso has therefore tabled an amendment to restore — and reword — Article 4. Although the rapporteur emphasized that the offense is not fulfilled “if proof of the person’s free and informed consent is provided,” she also made it clear that the new wording introduces an additional dimension in the context of the protection of whistleblowers. The aim of the law of December 9, 2016 on transparency, combating corruption and modernizing economic life was. An objective reiterated in the text of the amendment, according to which “information reported or disclosed by a whistleblower under the conditions set out in Article 6” of the previously cited law “does not constitute provocation” within the meaning of Article 4 of the present bill.’
On the very day the new law was pushed through France’s National Assembly, critics of it took to social media to voice their concerns, such as biologist, Annelise Bocquet.
Political Philosopher, David Thunder, wrote, ‘So sad to see that the repression of medical dissent under what critics are calling the “Pfizer article” has been passed by the French Parliament. This is anti-science and is pushing France ever further in the direction of totalitarianism. Even France’s Conseil d’Etat condemned the law as a disproportionate and unjustified attack on freedom to express dissenting scientific and medical opinions.’
Florian Philippot, the party leader of “Les Patriots,” a Le Pen splinter, called Article 4, the “Pfizer amendment.”
As a reminder, it was Emmanuel Macron’s government that introduced the medical apartheid system of vaccine passports in the summer of 2021, forcing anyone wanting to visit a cinema, shop, or restaurant to show proof of their Covid-19 vaccination status or a recent negative test.
It was also Macron who caused an uproar when he stated in an interview with Le Parisien “I am not about pissing off the French people… But as for the non-vaccinated, I really want to piss them off. And we will continue to do this, to the end. This is the strategy.”
However, in the future, when another pandemic is announced, the strategy would have moved on from “pissing off” the non-vaccinated in France, to potentially imprisoning them.
The surveillance allegedly circumvented laws against spying on domestic targets by mobilizing foreign agencies as part of the international ‘Five Eyes’ apparatus.
James Comer recently uncovered a $200,000 direct payment to Joe Biden after he received James and Hunter’s subpoenaed documents.
In 2018, Jim Biden received $600,000 in ‘loans’ from Americore Health LLC, a failing/bankrupt rural hospital operator. According to bankruptcy documents, Jim Biden received the loans “based upon representations that his last name Biden could open doors and that he could obtain a large investment from the Middle East based on his political connections.”
On March 1, 2018, Americore Health LLC wired a $200,000 payment to Jim and Sara Biden’s personal bank account. On that very same day, Jim Biden then wrote a $200,000 check to Joe Biden, AKA, “The Big Guy.”
Jim Biden wrote the check to Joe Biden as a so-called “loan repayment.” Does Joe Biden have documents proving he lent his brother such a large sum of money? “What were the terms?” Comer asked.
Comer previously demanded Joe Biden provide loan documents (loan payment, loan agreement) and IRS filings regarding the $200,000 “loan repayment” James Biden said he made to Joe “The Big Guy” Biden in 2018.
The Republican-led Oversight Committee recently said Joe Biden is refusing to provide applicable loan documentation to show he loaned his brother James Biden money.
Additionally, GOP Senators Grassley and Johnson produced records showing Hunter Biden and James Biden received hundreds of thousands of dollars from companies linked to the Communist Chinese Government.
Notably, Hunter Biden’s firm Owasco took money from CEFC, an energy company that is effectively an arm of the Chinese Communist Party.
Hunter Biden worked with Gongwen Dong and Ye Jianming, both men are linked to the Chinese Communist Party.
On August 8, 2017, $5 million was wired from a CEFC-affiliated investment vehicle (Northern International) to the bank account for Hudson West III, which spent the next year transferring $4,790,375 million directly to Hunter Biden’s firm, Owasco.
Grassley recently produced records showing Hunter Biden was paid $100,000 a month and James Biden was paid $65,000 a month – and Hunter would be paid a one time retainer fee of $500,000.
Furthermore, according to documents obtained by CBS News, more than 150 financial transactions involving Hunter Biden and James Biden were flagged by US banks as ‘concerning.’
The banking records, obtained by Ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley, reveal James Biden’s company, the Lion Hall Group, received huge wire transfers from a Chinese consulting firm in 2018.
Popular author and pastor-teacher John MacArthur recently claimed that civil rights hero Martin Luther King Jr. “wasn’t a Christian at all” and that his “life was immoral.”
MacArthur, who for more than five decades has pastored Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, made these comments while criticizing The Gospel Coalition (TGC) and Together for the Gospel (T4G) during a Q&A session at his church.
A clip of his controversial remarks were posted to social media.
“There are some major organizations that have been around for the last at least 10 years—one is The Gospel Coalition—started out with noble intent to bring different people together, leaders, pastors, theologians, around the gospel,” MacArthur said. “It was very much like T4G—Together for the Gospel.”
“[T4G] had that conference. We had as many as 10,000 people. I was a part of that every year, these huge conventions and it was Together for the Gospel,” MacArthur continued.
Nevertheless, MacArthur went on to allege that T4G “bought into the deceptiveness of the woke movement and the racial baiting that was going on a couple of years ago, and it literally put them out of existence.”
While T4G held its last conference in 2022, it remained a popular event among evangelicals, with nearly 12,000 attending the final conference.
MacArthur continued, “I was thinking the other day how interesting it was that the last panel discussion I was on at a T4G event was to honor [pastor and theologian] R.C. Sproul, who had died.”
“The T4G guys wanted to honor him with a panel and we spent an hour, an hour and 15 minutes—it was just this beautiful tribute to R.C. from all of us who knew him so very, very well,” MacArthur said. “And the strange irony was a year later, they did the same thing for Martin Luther King, who was not a Christian at all, whose life was immoral.”
In 2018, T4G commemorated the 50th anniversary of King’s death. That same year, TGC, in partnership with the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, likewise held a conference to reflect on King’s impact and legacy.
“I’m not saying [King] didn’t do some social good, and I’ve always been glad he was a pacifist or he could have started a real revolution,” MacArthur went on to say. “But you don’t honor a non-believer who misrepresented Christ and everything about the gospel in an organization alongside honoring someone like R.C. Sproul.”
King, who held a Ph.D. in systematic theology and was a Baptist minister, is widely regarded not only as one of most influential political figures of the 20th century but also as one who was distinctly Christian. Nevertheless, he has also been accused of having multiple extramarital affairs.
MacArthur contended that celebrating King’s legacy of fighting for justice is “woke.”
“This was a symptom of the impact of the woke movement that basically displaced that whole [T4G] organization. That was really—it was over after that,” MacArthur reiterated. “And some of the effects of those men who were leaders there are still going on, and it had a negative effect on their leadership and, I think, the role they play in evangelicalism today.”
“The Gospel Coalition kind of followed the same path and today, The Gospel Coalition is propagating just about anything and everything, good, bad, and indifferent,” MacArthur said.
MacArthur went on to claim that TGC once sought to hold a conference at Grace Community Church, saying that a TGC representative told the church that TGC had “associated with some of the wrong people, some of the compromising people” and that the organization would rather identify with MacArthur.
MacArthur said Grace Community Church rejected the request after seeing the lineup of speakers, which MacArthur said the church would “never, ever, ever have here.”
“Dealing with issues of gender and all that kind of thing,” MacArthur added. “So these amorphous evangelical organizations, without diligent, fastidious, vigilant leadership to keep them faithful to the truth of Scripture, just wander off and do everything and they become, I guess in a sense, useless as an entity.”
“The Gospel Coalition is like Christianity Today. It’s Christianity astray,” MacArthur concluded.
Notably, this is not the first time MacArthur has made controversial comments about Martin Luther King Jr. For some years, MacArthur has told a story about driving to Memphis, Tennessee, with civil rights leaders Charles Evers and John Perkins on the night of King’s assassination.
“When news of Dr. King’s murder broke, we drove to Memphis—and literally within hours after Dr. King was assassinated, we were at the Lorraine Motel, standing on the balcony where he was shot,” MacArthur wrote in 2018. “We were also shown the place where James Earl Ray stood on a toilet to fire the fatal shot.”
“I deplore racism and all the cruelty and strife it breeds. I am convinced the only long-term solution to every brand of ethnic animus is the gospel of Jesus Christ,” MacArthur continued. “The evangelicals who are saying the most and talking the loudest these days about what’s referred to as ‘social justice’ seem to have a very different perspective.”
“Over the years, I’ve fought a number of polemical battles against ideas that threaten the gospel. This recent (and surprisingly sudden) detour in quest of ‘social justice’ is, I believe, the most subtle and dangerous threat so far,” MacArthur argued.
In 2019, Charles Evers denied that MacArthur was with him on the night of King’s assassination, adding, “[He] don’t know me.”
In response, MacArthur released a statement in which he argued that Evers didn’t remember him because of the trauma of that evening.
“I have great love for John Perkins and genuine respect for Charles Evers,” MacArthur said. “I am honored to have been in their presence on that monumental occasion, but with all the trauma, I’m not surprised Charles Evers doesn’t remember me. However, my relationship with John Perkins has continued through the years.”
