We also believe that Christian Worship is to be regulated and defined by God’s Word, the Bible.
Our worship services are designed to please and honor the Triune God of the Bible. We place Scripture reading and the preaching of the word of God at the center of worship along with Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. These are God’s gifts to His church and ought to always be at the center of Christian worship. We are a congregation that loves to sing God’s praises, recite His Word back to Him, and actively engage in hearing and learning from God’s Word.
We embrace and promote a comprehensive Christian world and life view.
There is no area of life which is not under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It is to God and His law which all people, including governments and civil rulers, will answer. The Word of God embraces and informs the way we view marriage, the family, children, education, politics, worship, law, government, war, the church, missions, evangelism, and worship. In the world today there is a battle of opposing worldviews. There are basically only two positions: God’s Word and man’s ideas. We stand positively for Biblical truth and negatively against man’s ideas which are opposed to Biblical truth.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only hope for mankind.
Because all men fall short of obeying God’s law, all men everywhere are in need of divine grace and salvation from God. This salvation is found only in the Lord Jesus Christ who died for sinners, was buried, rose again, and is alive today seated at God the Father’s right hand.
We Worship God Together as Families.
We offer nursery during the morning worship service for newborns and infants but encourage people to keep as many of their children as they can with them for morning worship. The audio of the service is in the nursery via speakers. There is also a crying room with a video screen and audio of the sermon. We offer Sunday school classes for all ages, but worship together as families. We do not offer “children’s” church. Children need to be in morning worship as soon as possible so they can learn how to participate as active worshipers of the Living God which includes the singing of His praises and listening actively to sermons.
COMMUNION.
Communion is served monthly. All who profess faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and are members of an evangelical church are cordially invited to participate with us in the Lord’s Supper.

Why We Need the Bible – Bible Apologetics – A DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Simply put the Bible is the only reliable source of information about the God of the universe. Without the Bible we would be left with natural revelation to let us know that God exists, but we would not be able to know anything about who this God is. The Bible, therefore, is necessary to introduce us to the one and only God – Jesus Christ. And everything that God wants us to know about Himself and life He has placed in the pages of Scripture.
John F. Walvoord provides us with insight on some of the things the Bible helps us understand when he said: “The Bible is God’s declaratory revelation to man containing the great truths about God, about man, about history, about salvation, and about prophecy that God wanted us to know. The Bible could be trusted just as much as if God had taken the pen and written the words Himself.”1
Without the Bible we would know that a God must exist but we would not know anything about Him except that He must be very powerful to have created the universe. Without the Bible we would not know that God is a personal God, loves us greatly, and wants to have a special and intimate relationship with us. And without the Bible we wouldn’t know how mankind came to be, what our purpose in life is, that we are sinners in need of a Savior, and what happens to us when we die.
But praise God we do have the Bible and as a result we can know that we are sinners that have lost our way and rebelled against God. And thankfully the Bible is the only written revelation that gives us the plan of how to be reconciled back to God through Jesus Christ. Only the Bible reveals God’s wonderful plan of salvation and what we must do to be saved.
The Bible is God’s love letter to us and provides us with everything we need to lead a rich and rewarding life right now and to know with certainty that eternal life awaits all of us who have made our peace with God through Jesus Christ.
The Bible is our gateway to knowing Jesus, it’s our compass guiding us through all the trials of life, and it’s the only book that is 100% divine truth. In closing, I concur with Abraham Lincoln who once said: “I believe the Bible is the best gift God has ever given to man. All the good from the Savior of the world is communicated to us through this book.”2

2 Chronicles 34:3 — Unlike his great-grandfather Hezekiah, Josiah didn’t have the same urgency. Then again, Josiah became king at age 8, unlike Hezekiah who suffered through a coregency with an evil king. But when Josiah was 16, in the 8th year of his reign, he sought the LORD, but it wasn’t until he was 26 that he finished purging the land and started repairing the temple.
2 Chronicles 34:19 — God’s Word often brings a powerful response. This was similar to the Ninevites in Jonah 3:5, who like Josiah (2 Chronicles 34:18) visibly repented. Josiah followed it up by seeking the wisdom of the LORD (2 Chronicles 34:21). God’s wrath would still come but would be delayed (2 Chronicles 34:25). In the meantime, because of Josiah’s leadership, the people did not depart from following the LORD (2 Chronicles 34:33).
Romans 16:10 — Note what Paul’s friends were recognized for:
- “approved in Christ” (Romans 16:10)
- “in the LORD” (Romans 16:11)
- “labor in the LORD” (Romans 16:12)
- “labored much in the LORD” (Romans 16:12)
- “chosen in the Lord” (Romans 16:13)
Paul contrasts these faithful followers with the divisors who serve their own belly (Romans 16:17-18).

The Divine Light in Darkness | VCY
For thou wilt light my candle. (Psalm 18:28)
It may be that my soul sits in darkness; and if this be of a spiritual kind, no human power can bring me light. Blessed be God! He can enlighten my darkness and at once light my candle. Even though I may be surrounded by a “darkness which might be felt,” yet He can break the gloom and immediately make it bright around me.
The mercy is that if He lights the candle none can blow it out, neither will it go out for lack of substance, nor burn out of itself through the lapse of hours. The lights which the Lord kindled in the beginning are shining still. The Lord’s lamps may need trimming, but He does not put them out.
Let me, then, like the nightingale sing in the dark. Expectation shall furnish me with music, and hope shall pitch the tune. Soon I shall rejoice in a candle of God’s lighting. I am dull and dreary just now. Perhaps it is the weather, or bodily weakness, or the surprise of a sudden trouble; but whatever has made the darkness, it is God alone who will bring the light. My eyes are unto Him alone. I shall soon have the candles of the Lord shining about me; and, further on in His own good time, I shall be where they need no candle, neither light of the sun. In this sermon given on Good Friday on Hebrews 2:9 titled “The Cross of Christ,” Dr, Martyn Lloyd-Jones presents various questions about this subject and answers them from the Scripture. Who is this person dying upon a cross? Jesus Christ, the brightness of God’s glory and the express image of His person, humbling Himself by coming in the likeness of a man, sojourning among humanity, and suffering and dying that He might taste death for everyone. What does it mean that He tasted death? On the cross He experienced – in body and soul – everything that is involved in death as the punishment for sin. Nothing was withheld. Why did He suffer such a death? The answer is given in one word: “for everyone.” He took the place of all, bearing the wrath of God for their sins upon Himself. What’s the result of His coming? The glorious result is two-fold: because Jesus suffered and died, He has been exalted, crowned with all glory and honor and power, and He has taken out the sting of death for all believers. He did it because God’s very nature is one of grace, compassion, and love.

- Russia-U.S. prisoner swap frees Gershkovich and Whelan: The U.S. and Russia have agreed to a prisoner swap that will send Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich, whom a Russian court had just sentenced to 16 years in prison, and former U.S. Marine Paul Whelan back to the U.S. It is being reported as the biggest swap of political prisoners since the Cold War. According to The Wall Street Journal, “The sweeping deal involved 24 prisoners and at least six countries, and came together after months of negotiations at the highest levels of governments in the U.S., Russia and Germany, whose prisoner, Russian hit man Vadim Krasikov, emerged as the linchpin to the arrangement.” The good news for Gershkovich and Whelan is that they will soon be back home with their families.
- Iran orders attack against Israel: In the wake of Israel’s righteous and deadly retaliatory strikes against its terrorist enemies — including a particularly bold one in Tehran that killed Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh — Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is calling for his country to strike back at Israel directly. As The New York Times reports, “Khamenei gave the order at an emergency meeting of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council on Wednesday morning, shortly after Iran announced that Mr. Haniyeh had been killed.” The nature of the ayotollah-ordered strike is unknown, but Iran is again walking a tightrope between measured response and all-out war. Joining Haniyeh in paradise are Hezbollah senior military commander Fuad Shukr, who was eliminated in the Lebanese capital of Beirut, and Muhammad Deif, the “Osama bin Laden of Gaza,” whom the Israel Defense Forces confirmed was taken out in a July 13 strike in southern Gaza.
- No death penalty for 9/11 mastermind: It’s said that punishment doesn’t tend to deter unless it’s both swift and severe, and neither is the case concerning Khalid Shaikh Mohammad. As CBS News reports, “The alleged architect of [the 9/11 attacks] has reached a plea deal, according to the Department of Defense, along with two of his alleged accomplices.” KSM, Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak Bin ‘Attash, and Mustafa Ahmed Adam al Hawsawi were all captured in 2003, “but their cases have faced years of legal delays over whether the evidence extracted during their interrogations was admissible in court.” According to The New York Times, the trio of cutthroats “have agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy and murder charges in exchange for a life sentence rather than a death-penalty trial at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. … Prosecutors said the deal was meant to bring some ‘finality and justice’ to the case.” We wonder, though: How do the families of the nearly 3,000 Americans who died there in Manhattan and at the Pentagon and in that field in Shanksville feel about this “finality and justice”?
- Chilling new footage from July 13 sniper victim: James Copenhaver nearly lost his life on July 13 when he was gravely wounded by Thomas Crooks during the Trump assassination attempt. And now, thanks to cellphone video he took during the minutes just before the attack, we can see what things looked like from his perspective. Chillingly, the footage, which cuts off just before the shooting began, shows the assassin scurrying across the roof in plain view to the naked eye. Trump is speaking, and he’s completely unaware of the threat that’s unfolding. But how could Crooks’s movement have been missed? Indeed, the footage presents us with yet another stunning example of the catastrophic failure of the Secret Service that day.
Politics
- CNN shuts down opinion section (The Hill)
- United Auto Workers union endorses Kamala Harris for president (Fox Business)
- MIA Kamala: If it worked for Joe Biden, then why not for Kamala Harris? A week and a half ago, Democrat leadership anointed Harris as their presumed presidential nominee. Since then, the Leftmedia has been schilling for Harris as if she were Franklin Delano Roosevelt risen from the grave. Yet despite all this positive near-fanboy media coverage and gaslighting of her abysmal past record, Harris has yet to hold an unscripted press conference. While she has been on the campaign trail, she has avoided interviews. And yesterday, Harris avoided making a showing at the National Association of Black Journalists, where Donald Trump did make a showing and fielded questions from hostile leftist journalists. Of course, this is a strategic move by Harris’s team to protect her from being exposed for her radical policy positions, her long history of flip-flopping on a wide array of issues, her disastrous record as border czar, and her vacuous ramblings. It will be interesting to see how long Harris goes without holding a press conference. But don’t expect to hear any objections from the mainstream media.
Second Amendment
- Harris would radically target legal gun owners: If you thought Joe Biden was bad on 2A rights, things will only get worse for gun owners under a Kamala Harris administration. As Crime Prevention Research Center President John R. Lott observes, Harris is as radical as they come. She wants not only to ban so-called “assault weapons” but also force law-abiding gun owners to sell any firearm she deems problematic to the government. Furthermore, in order to accomplish this forced confiscation, Harris has vowed to use an executive order to establish a national gun registry if Congress fails to pass legislation doing so. Being radically anti-Second Amendment is nothing new for Harris — back in 2008, she argued in a SCOTUS amicus brief that there is no constitutional right to self-defense. She also wants to “eliminate gun manufacturers’ immunity from liability,” mandate owners lock up their firearms, and require background checks for all gun transfers. Under a Harris presidency, the Second Amendment would face an assault like never before.
- New Jersey AR-15 ban ruled unconstitutional by federal judge (Washington Examiner)
Big Tech
- Meta settlement: On Tuesday, Facebook parent company Meta agreed to a $1.4 billion settlement to resolve a lawsuit brought against the Big Tech company by the state of Texas for allegedly illegally using facial recognition technology to collect biometric data on millions of users without their consent. The suit was launched in 2022 using Texas’s 2009 biometric privacy law, which exacts a $25,000 fine per violation. After the settlement, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said it demonstrates the state’s “commitment to standing up to the world’s biggest technology companies and holding them accountable for breaking the law and violating Texans’ privacy rights.” That said, despite the settlement, Meta denies that it violated any law. The big picture is that this represents a big win for consumer rights against the ongoing abuses of Big Tech and Facebook in particular. But this is not the first time Meta has settled a lawsuit targeting its facial recognition program. Back in 2019, the company agreed to a $650 million settlement with the state of Illinois for violating a similar biometrics privacy law in that state.
Rainbow Mafia
- Male boxers are free to beat up females at Olympics: It was over quickly, and mercifully so. Just 46 seconds into her Olympic boxing match with Imane Khelif, a “transgender” male from Algeria, Italy’s Angela Carini dropped to the canvas after being hit twice in the face. Thus ended another abominable sporting event between a woman and a biological male. As the New York Post reports, Carini yelled “this is unjust!” toward her corner and slammed her headgear on the canvas. Indeed, it is unjust, as the differences between men and women are most glaringly displayed in combative events like boxing, wrestling, and the martial arts. Never fear, though. According to a statement from the International Olympic Committee prior to the Games, “All athletes participating in the boxing tournament of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 comply with the competition’s eligibility and entry regulations, as well as all applicable medical regulations.” As The Daily Wire reports, Khelif and Taiwan’s Lin Yu ting had been “disqualified from the Women’s World Boxing Championships in New Delhi last year after their chromosome tests came back as XY.” Apparently, that disqualification wasn’t good enough for the Rainbow Mafia types who run the Olympic Games.

Is Harris the First Indian or Asian or Black VP?

The mainstream media gaggle of bedwetters were apoplectic this week, as they churned headlines regarding a question raised by Donald Trump at the National Association of Black Journalists’ annual convention. Noticeably absent from the event was Kamala Harris, who is avoiding press conferences. But the conference runs for three more days, and after Trump’s appearance, surely Harris will drop in.
The opening question for Trump was from ABC News talkinghead Rachel Scott, and of course it was loaded with incendiary “missing context” assertions: “A lot of people did not think it was appropriate for you to be here today. You have pushed false claims about some of your rivals from Nikki Haley to former President Barack Obama, saying that they were not born in the United States, which is not true. You have told four congresswomen of color who were American citizens to go back to where they came from. You have used words like ‘animal’ and ‘rabbit’ to describe black attorneys. You’ve attacked black journalists, calling them a loser, saying the questions that they asked are ‘stupid and racist.’ You’ve had dinner with a white supremacist at your Mar-a-Lago resort. So, my question, sir, now that you were asking black supporters to vote for you: Why should black voters trust you after you have used language like that?”
Trump responded: “I don’t think I’ve ever been asked a question in such a horrible manner, a first question. You don’t even say ‘hello, how are you.’ Are you with ABC? Because I think they’re a fake news network, a terrible network. I think it’s disgraceful … I came here in good spirit. I love the black population of this country; I’ve done so much for the black population of this country. … I don’t know why you would do something like that… I was invited here, and I was told my opponent, whether it was Biden or Kamala, I was told my opponent was going to be here. It turned out, my opponent isn’t here. You invited me under false pretense. … I think it’s a very nasty question.” His reply was applauded by more than a few in attendance.
Then, as only he can do, Trump dropped this bombshell on Scott regarding Harris’s variable all-inclusive hyphenated racial identity: “I didn’t know she was black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn black and now she wants to be known as black. So I don’t know — is she Indian, or is she black? I respect either one, but she obviously doesn’t because she was Indian all the way and then all of a sudden she made a turn and she became a black person. And I think somebody should look into that, too.”
For background, in my column this week, “Who Is the REAL Kamala Harris?” I noted, “The first thing most informed voters already know about Harris is that she checked two very important ‘DEI’ virtue-signaling boxes to become Biden’s VP — the all-important ‘female’ and ‘African American’ boxes.‘ (Yes, I know, ‘informed voters’ is an oxymoron when referencing Demo constituents.)”
Regarding that “African American” box, I explained, “Despite the fact that Harris’s parents were from India and Jamaica, the hyphenating race-bait Demo Party ran her as the first ‘African-American’ candidate for vice president and now president. Why? Fact is, she is more ‘Indian-American’ or ‘Asian American.’ She declared in 2019 ahead of her own failed presidential primary campaign, ‘I’m black, and I’m proud of being black. I was born black. I will die black, and I’m not going to make excuses for anybody because they don’t understand.’ But a few years earlier she had been widely heralded as the first ‘Indian-American’ elected to the Senate. So which is it?”
I noted further, “Moreover, the Demo cancel culture mobs should have disqualified her before the 2020 election, because she is the direct descendant of white slave traders. In 2018, her father published an essay on her family lineage, ’Reflections of a Jamaican Father,‘ in which he notes his prominent ancestral ‘slave owner’ by the name of Hamilton Brown, an Irishman who enslaved many black people in Jamaica on his sugar plantations. Harris also has other white Irish ancestors, so she is in fact more Indian/Asian than ‘black.’ Of course, Asians are considered by black folks to be a ‘privileged minority,’ so running as ‘the first Indian or Asian American candidate’ does not fit the narrative Harris wants to project.”
For the record, despite all the protests over Trump’s question, he is correct in his assertion that she has attempted to be a lot more than “black,” and all his Leftmedia detractors confirmed that.
For example:
In 2016, the Associated Press headlined, “California’s Kamala Harris becomes first Indian-American US senator.”
Her influential home state capital newspaper noted in 2017, “Watch Kamala Harris sworn in as first Indian-American senator.”
In 2019, The Washington Post declared Harris was “the first woman, the first African American woman, the first Indian American and the first Asian American.”
The echo-chamber Beltway Media repeated that all-inclusive hyphenation charade, with NBC noting, “If elected, Harris would make history in several categories: she would be the first woman, the first African-American woman, the first Asian-American and the first Indian-American to serve as president.”
In 2020, The New York Times kept the multi-ethnic hyphenation train rolling, asserting, “Harris became the first Black woman on a major party’s presidential ticket. She also became the first Indian-American, South Asian and Asian-American person to be chosen…”
Last week, The New York Times repeated, “When Ms. Harris became vice president in 2020 … she was widely hailed as the first Black woman to assume the role. She was also the first Asian American, the first South Asian, first Indian American and first woman of color.”
Likewise, CNN proclaimed, “She was the nation’s first Indian American senator and California’s first female and South Asian attorney general. Harris is the first woman to become vice president, as well as the first Black or Asian American person to hold the office.”
NPR parroted CNN: “She became the country’s first Indian American senator when she was inaugurated in 2017. She is California’s first female and South Asian attorney general. In 2021, she became the first woman to become vice president, in addition to being the first Black or Asian American person in the position.”
In fact, Harris’s current bio at Britannica notes, “When she took office in January 2017, Harris became the first Indian American and only the second Black American woman in the Senate.”
And to the point, Harris’s own White House bio notes, “Harris was sworn in as Vice President — the first woman, the first Black American, and the first South Asian American to be elected to this position.”
Of course, the Leftmedia’s so-called “fact-checkers” are trying to spin that Harris identifies only as “black.” But even the most left wing of those sites had to declare that a post from Trump a week before questioning how the media defines Harris’s ethnicity, comparing two AP headlines, was true: “We confirmed that the headlines were authentic.”
Harris’s spokes-parrot, Karine Jean-Pierre, called Trump’s remark “repulsive and insulting” and declared: “No one has any right to tell someone who they are, how they identify. … She is the vice president of the United States, Kamala Harris. We have to put some respect on her name, period.” To be clear, Trump questioned the various reports about her ethnicity — he did not declare her ethnicity — but there were no fact-checks on KJP. And I should note that this rebuttal came from a lesbian who thinks people have the right to identify as a gender other than their actual gender and demand you use the pronouns of their choice.
Here is the most important takeaway from this dispute: One thing none of these media protests mentions is what Harris would most like to avoid regarding her ethnicity — her white Irish slave-owning heritage on her father’s side. But it’s not too late to charge up the cancel culture machine.
Again, the truth is that Harris is more Indian than black.
It is fine for Harris to be proud of all her ethnic heritage, but we should all be AMERICAN first and foremost. Of course, that does not fit the Demos’ hyphenated constituent division agenda.
There are prominent black Americans who object to that agenda, but perhaps the most eloquent objection was penned by JFK’s former senior adviser and noted Harvard historian Arthur Schlesinger. In his 1991 book, The Disuniting of America, a benchmark classic on ethnocentric division, he wrote that the “cult of ethnicity” would result in “the fragmentation and tribalization of America.” He warned that multiculturalists are “very often ethnocentric separatists who see little in the Western heritage other than Western crimes.” He further noted that “hyphenated-Americanism” would be a tool of their divisive efforts.
Prophetic.

Chinese bombers joined Russian fighter jets last month, flying in formation directly at Alaska.
IRAN ACCESSED BILLIONS OF UNFROZEN FUNDS AS ISRAEL-HAMAS WAR RAGES
Iran funds Hamas, which massacred Israelis last October. It funds Hezbollah, which fires thousands of rockets into Israel.
It funds the Houthis who tie up the Mideast sea lanes and kill American soldiers.
North Korea. They supply Russia with the ammunition it needs to destroy Ukraine. America is facing a concerted global challenge.
Are we prepared? That’s more than a military question. It’s a question of our willingness to confront our brutal enemies.
At this moment, our leaders do not confront them, frankly, they don’t seem to understand the magnitude of the challenge.
They were blind to the damage done by the debacle in Afghanistan. President Biden actually said it would be OK for the Russians to take just a little Ukrainian territory.

Within weeks, Biden was pleading for a cease-fire, so Israel couldn’t crush the terrorists for good.
Our president is now frail, he rarely appears in public. We don’t really know who’s calling the shots.
The danger is that our brutal enemies act now, while a weakened president prepares to leave office.

“Shark Tank” investor Kevin O’Leary said didn’t know of one thing Kamala Harris has achieved and warned some Democrats are experiencing “buyer’s remorse.”
As Vice President Kamala Harris faces mounting criticism over reports of poor staff retention, new questions are being raised about the policy accomplishments of the Democratic presumptive nominee.
O’Leary Ventures chairman and “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary posed the question on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” saying he doesn’t know of one thing the vice president has accomplished.
“In the next two weeks, the happy talk is going to have to stop because someone’s going to sit her down and say, ‘let’s talk inflation, let’s talk border, let’s talk policy on energy. Let’s talk policy on foreign affairs,’” O’Leary explained.
“If she wants to win, she’s got to go to the center. But she’s got to have some ideas on how to run the country. You might hate Trump, but he has this track record of policy. You might hate him. I get it. But you’ve got to do something.”
HARRIS NOW BACKING AWAY FROM SEVERAL FAR-LEFT STANCES SHE ONCE PROMOTED
O’Leary provided an investor’s perspective on Harris’ candidacy and the immediate excitement within the Democratic Party. He argued that the problems coming to light, such as a report of a 92% staff turnover rate within her vice presidential office, are leading to “buyer’s remorse.”
“That’s an extraordinary number. You’re wiping out your entire staff. Obviously, a problem there, but this narrative going on with Kamala Harris now is very interesting,” he said.
KAMALA HARRIS SUPPORTERS UNSURE WHEN ASKED ABOUT VP’S POLICY ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Gil Duran, who worked as communications director for Kamala Harris when she served as California’s attorney general, said the amount of stress was “unbearable,” noting that she took her stress out on staff members. Duran quit after only five months.
Host Jesse Watters then raised concerns about her fitness to be president.
“How could she lead millions of Americans if she can’t even lead 50?” Watters asked.
“It would be important to leave aside the politics and ask, ‘What has Kamala Harris actually done, actually achieved?’” O’Leary said.
“Because if I was hiring her – and I’m not trying to be partisan – I would ask her, ‘What was a goal? What did you achieve?’ Because any governor or any senator that would put into presidential viability would have a history, a track record of doing stuff.”
O’Leary compared Harris to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s rise to power.
“I ask everybody to look north to Canada. When a young Justin Trudeau swept in, nobody cared about his executional skills or what he’d ever done or anything. They just thought he was the ‘it’ guy. Look at the country now, it’s wiped out, because it turns out the guy had no executional skills.”
