Ezra 8:22 — Ezra was faced with a tension: accept the gracious offer of the king to provide protection, or allow God to protect them as they travel with over $100 million in gold (that’s not counting the silver – see Ezra 8:26). Hudson Taylor once refused to wear a life jacket on a boat because he thought it showed his faith in God. Should we refuse to wear lifejackets as well? How are we to balance keeping our faith in God and exercising reasonable care?
FIRST note that Elijah fasted and prayed about this decision (Ezra 8:23). Keep in mind that this was someone that God was willing to be entreated of (Psalm 66:18). If we’re not living for the LORD, we should be hesitant to claim we heard a command from the LORD.
SECOND note that Ezra learned the lesson of Hezekiah and Sennacherib in 2 Kings 18:15 – trust God first or soldiers won’t help you (Psalm 127:1). His decision was a response to a specific problem in Israelite history, not a general disregard of human precautions. God blessed this decision (Ezra 8:31).
THIRD note how Ezra was demonstrating his trust in God (see today’s reading in Psalm 31), and how he took every human precaution when auditing the treasure. Not because the transport team was untrustworthy, but to a) protect their reputation, b) deter temptation, and c) ensure they focused on the goal for the team instead of personal enrichment, Ezra employed the service of the Levites to transport the treasure. This is similar to a church treasurer who completes a deposit slip with the rest of the finance team and then is dispatched to the bank to deposit the money. The church auditor then reconciles the deposit slip with the deposit receipt to make sure nothing happened to the money enroute. Ezra found trustworthy men (Ezra 8:24), weighed the gold (Ezra 8:25), documented the weights (Ezra 8:26-27), charged the trustworthy men with the sacred trust (Ezra 8:28), and then scheduled an audit in Jerusalem (Ezra 8:29). While today’s treasurer might pocket some loose change enroute, the big danger in times past was debasement. Roman emperors would reduce the silver content of coins thinking people wouldn’t notice. Archimedes famously developed a test to ensure the gold in the crown wasn’t diluted. Here, the chapter concludes with the auditing in Ezra 8:33-34.
Later he realized that was wrong thinking and wrote, “The use of means ought not to lessen our faith in God; and our faith in God ought not to hinder whatever means He has given us for the accomplishment of His own purposes … When in medical or surgical charge of any case, I have never thought of neglecting to ask God’s guidance and blessing in the use of appropriate means … to me it would appear presumptuous and wrong to neglect the use of those measures which He Himself has put within our reach, as to neglect to take daily food, and suppose that life and health might be maintained by prayer alone” (p. 99). He was later said to be “a man of prayer, but it was prayer associated with action … He prayed about things as if everything depended upon the praying … but he worked also, as if everything depended upon the working” (p. 329).

Ezra 9:1-2 — Ezra, whose father was executed by a pagan king in a pagan land as part of God’s judgment on the sins of Israel, knew sin could not be tolerated. They were commanded not to defile themselves with the Canaanites and their practices (Leviticus 18:24). They were commanded not to associate with them but to drive them out (Deuteronomy 7:1). They were not to show any mercy.
Ezra 9:6 — Ezra’s prayer of contrition; he recognizes his lowly position (Psalm 40:17) and the vastness of his sins (Psalm 51:3). He cites the very command they have broken (Ezra 9:11-12, Deuteronomy 7:3). Ezra refuses to allow people to make the same mistake Solomon made (1 Kings 11:1-2).
1 Corinthians 5:1 — Speaking of sin in the camp, Paul commands a harsh penalty (1 Corinthians 5:5) for sinful activity in the local church and God’s disapproval of those who tolerated it (1 Corinthians 5:2, 1 Corinthians 5:6, 1 Corinthians 5:9).
1 Corinthians 5:10-12 — We’re not to avoid those who sin. We must confront those who claim to be washed of their sin in the blood of the Lamb and yet persist in the sin that nailed the Lamb to the Cross! God will take care of sinners; we must take care of our so-called brothers.
Psalm 31:1 — The Psalmist is declaring what Ezra believed: we can trust in the LORD and be delivered! He has delivered us from our enemies!
Proverbs 21:1 — The Lord changed the heart of the king from Ezra 4:21 to Ezra 6:7. God can still change hearts even today!

All she had to do was pick Josh Shapiro, the popular, charismatic, relatively moderate Democrat governor of the must-win swing state of Pennsylvania. And yet, she couldn’t decide. As The Daily Wire reports, “A source told NBC News Chief White House correspondent Peter Alexander that as of Monday night, ‘VP Harris had not yet made a final decision and wanted to sleep on it one more night.’ The same source told Alexander that the ‘Harris campaign has printed signs with Harris’ name and multiple different possible VP picks beneath it so they are prepared for whatever decision she makes.‘” As CNN’s hard-left Van Jones lamented, “You also have anti-Semitism that has gotten marbled into this party. … How much of what just happened is caving into some of these darker parts in the party?” Maybe someone should ask Tim Walz.
Good news: Cori Bush gets the gate: Yesterday was primary day in many cities across the country, and one of them, St. Louis, decided it was time for better representation in Congress. Indeed, “Squad” member Cori Bush lost her primary election. The race-baiter Bush thus joins fire-alarm Jamaal Bowman and becomes the second “Squad” member to be ousted this cycle. As a reminder, Cori Bush is the same congresswoman who misused campaign funds; who hired private security even as she advocated for defunding the cops; who can’t seem to decide whether Hamas is a terrorist organization; and who said that a black man, Tyre Nichols, was “slaughtered at the altar of white supremacy” even though all five cops who beat him were black. Is a Jewish electoral awakening in the offing? In the wake of Kamala Harris’s refusal to select a vice-presidential candidate due to his Jewishness comes an interesting new Siena poll. In it, Donald Trump leads Kamala Harris 50-49 among New York’s Jewish voters. These are stunning numbers, and they bear watching, because the American Jewish vote typically splits about 70-30 in favor of the Democrats. Here again, as with blacks, Trump seems to be expanding the Republican base while the Democrats continue to hemorrhage. Asked about the poll on Fox News this morning, Trump said, “I think any Jewish person who votes for a Democrat … should have their head examined.” Trump went on to note Kamala Harris’s refusal to pick Josh Shapiro, noting, “This is the worst team ever assembled for a Jewish person or for Israel, either one.”
Harris donated to defund-police group last year: Kamala Harris’s radical leftist record is not merely from her past as a sitting senator from California. It has continued throughout her time as vice president. Indeed, just last year, Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, each donated $1,000 to the leftist group Legal Aid DC, which advocates a defund-the-police agenda. Back in 2020, LADC stated that it “stands in solidarity with those speaking out, demonstrating, and demanding a country and society that will treat every one of its residents with dignity and respect.” That same year, the group’s housing law attorney, Amanda Kober, expressed concern over “any solution that involves more police and policing in DC public housing.” Furthermore, LADC pushed for legislation that was subsequently passed which made Washington, DC, a “permanent” sanctuary city for illegal aliens. Last year, LADC testified in support of a bill to “create a reparations task force and fund to address the impacts of slavery and institutional racism in Washington, D.C.”

Iranian murder-for-hire plot foiled: On Tuesday, it was revealed that federal agents thwarted a Pakistani working as an agent of Iran in a murder-for-hire plot targeting U.S. officials. According to federal officials, Asif Merchant arrived in the U.S. in April and immediately recruited a man in New York for business deals. That man soon discovered those business deals entailed plots for assassination attempts. After learning this, he contacted law enforcement. FBI Director Christopher Wray stated that the plot was “straight out of the Iranian playbook.” Merchant was arrested soon after he attempted to recruit two undercover agents posing as hitmen. Evidently, Merchant entered the U.S. legally.

X sues GARM: Elon Musk, the owner of X, has criticized the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM) as an “advertising boycott racket” and threatened to take legal action against the organization. On Tuesday, Musk made good on his threat. X CEO Linda Yaccarino released a video message announcing that the social media company had filed an antitrust lawsuit against GARM, the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), and several large corporations that are GARM members. Yaccarino referenced the House Judiciary Committee’s recent investigation into GARM, noting that the committee found evidence “GARM and its members directly organized boycotts and used other indirect tactics to target disfavored platforms, content creators, and news organizations in an effort to demonetize and, in effect, limit certain choices for consumers.” She claimed that X has been targeted by GARM and, as a result, has lost billions of dollars in ad revenue. Joining X in the lawsuit is the video-sharing site Rumble. Linking to Yaccarino’s video, Musk added the following post: “We tried peace for 2 years, now it is war.”

Northern Triangle migration spiked 400% under “not border czar” Harris: In their efforts to gaslight the American public over the fact that Joe Biden did effectively name Kamala Harris his border czar, the mainstream media deflects by claiming Harris’s role was focused on the Northern Triangle (Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador). The problem is that since Harris was tapped by Biden to tackle the Northern Triangle’s “root causes” of migration, the number of migrants illegally entering the U.S. from these countries has spiked by some 400%. No matter which way the Leftmedia tries to spin it, the fact of the matter remains: Harris’s record on illegal immigration is abysmal.
London: A cautionary tale about open borders: London has increasingly become unrecognizable due to its demographic changes. So says Manhattan Institute senior fellow Chris Rufo, who was there recently and couldn’t believe the changes that the UK’s open-borders immigration policy has wrought. “I haven’t been to London since I was a student,” he observed to a group of British journalists. “What the hell happened?” He then answered his own question: “Since my last visit nearly two decades ago, the white British population of London has declined from 60 percent to 37 percent. Meantime, the Muslim population of London has nearly doubled, and migrants from South Asia and Africa have entrenched themselves throughout the city. Anglos have been a minority for more than a decade. What I’ve observed in the city this week has amazed me. Women’s eyes peering through the slit of black niqabs. A procession of sub-Saharan Africans traversing Westminster Bridge, waving the flags of their homelands and demanding reparations. Street corners that could be confused for Peshawar or Islamabad. Districts in which one could pass an entire day with barely a glimpse of an Englishman.” This is a cautionary tale given that our nation’s border czar, Kamala Harris, has overseen the invasion of somewhere north of 10 million illegals across our southern border.

The world’s largest search engine was found guilty of violating the Sherman Antitrust Act by U.S. District Judge Amit P. Mehta, who wrote in his decision, “Google is a monopolist, and it has acted as one to maintain its monopoly.”
Based on the numbers, it’s hard to disagree. Google owns more than 90% of Internet search engine traffic.
Google spent billions on deals with the likes of Apple and Samsung to ensure that its search engine was the default on the vast majority of smartphones. This move helped Google garner hundreds of billions in annual ad revenue. Last year alone, Google pulled in north of $237 billion in ad revenue. Compare that to just over $51 billion 10 years ago. Google’s smartphone deal appears to have a lot to do with its tremendous growth in ad revenue. At least that’s what the judge concluded.
This ruling also represents a big win for the Justice Department, as it is the first successful antitrust case against Google in over 20 years. And it couldn’t have happened to a “nicer” company.
So, what does this mean for Google going forward? And what impact might this have on users’ Internet experience?
Regarding the first question, Loyola University Chicago School of Law professor Spencer Weber Waller surmises, “There are no fines or monetary penalties in these types of cases, but the court will have to decide whether Google should be broken up in some way. More likely, it will order Google to eliminate the exclusive contracts and licensing restrictions that have reinforced its monopoly position for years.”
The answer to the second question is not as easy to suss out. One of the biggest winners, though, is Microsoft. As Chamber of Progress CEO Adam Kovacevich notes, “Microsoft has underinvested in search for decades, but today’s ruling opens the door to a court mandate of default deals for Bing.”
However, advertisers will also benefit from this decision. As Judge Mehta wrote, “The only apparent constraint on Google’s pricing decisions are potential advertiser outcry and bad publicity. Google, however, has managed to avoid those pitfalls by ramping up its pricing incrementally … many advertisers do not even realize that Google is responsible for the changes in price.”
But is all this too little, too late? Is Google simply being punished for being the best?
Based on Google’s popularity and track record, there is simply no better search engine. While others compete and offer certain features, such as greater privacy and anti-tracking, neither of them has the sheer size and resources that Google does.
If only Google were more honest and less biased in favor of Democrats.
But with the growth of AI technology, Google’s days as the king of search engines may be numbered. AI-based search engines are the future, and Google has clearly stumbled out of the blocks in the AI development race.
AI-based search engines may one day cause people to stop saying “Google it” and instead say “Check AI.”

State Senator Jake Hoffman from Arizona posted evidence that Democrats are reaching out to social media users to pay them to say nice things about Kamala and Tampon Tim.
Senator Hoffman posted the proof. Kamala’s campaign worker, Alicia Howard, sent out letters to Instagram users to pay them for supporting her campaign.

Bloomberg estimates that approximately $6.4 trillion has been erased from the value of global stock markets over the past three weeks.
Investors were desperately hoping for a bounce on Tuesday, but the Dow Jones Industrial Average only jumped 294 points.
Needless to say, that is not the bounce that they were looking for.
The turmoil that we have witnessed on Wall Street in recent days also caught the attention of Donald Trump.
On Truth Social, he blamed crashing stock prices on Kamala Harris and he warned that a “great depression” is on the way…

The Sahm rule, created by the former Federal Reserve official Claudia Sahm, triggers when the unemployment rate’s three-month moving average moves 50 basis points above its 12-month low.
That rule was triggered Friday, with the moving average rising 53 basis points above that one-year trough, according to the real-time Sahm Rule Recession Indicator from the St. Louis Federal Reserve.
The Sahm rule has successfully predicted every single recession since 1970, and it is indicating that another recession is here.
Sadly, the unemployment rate is likely to go even higher during the months ahead because large companies all over America continue to conduct mass layoffs. Today, we learned that Dell is planning another round of mass layoffs…
While Dell has confirmed the layoffs, it hasn’t revealed how many employees are losing their jobs. SiliconAngle reports that roughly 12,500 Dell employees are being laid off this week, citing an unnamed source. Impacted employees are primarily on Dell’s sales and marketing teams. A layoff tracker has since reported the same number.
Former Dell employee Ian Armstrong, who previously worked on the company’s UX design team for eight years, called the layoffs a “bloodbath” in a post, reporting that Dell has now laid off 24,500 staff in the past 15 months.
Meanwhile, the cost of living crisis continues to crush working families all over the nation.
At this point, it takes an additional thousand dollars a month for the typical U.S. household to buy the exact same goods and services that it did three years ago…
The typical U.S. household needed to pay $227 more a month in March to purchase the same goods and services it did one year ago because of still-high inflation, according to calculations from Moody’s Analytics chief economist Mark Zandi shared with FOX Business.
Americans are paying on average $784 more each month compared with the same time two years ago and $1,069 more compared with three years ago, before the inflation crisis began.
Consumer spending has always been so critical to the U.S. economy.
And at this point, a very large portion of the population is simply tapped out.
That is one of the primary reasons why credit card debt is at an all-time high and credit card delinquencies are soaring into the stratosphere…
Credit card delinquencies continued to rise from their pre-pandemic levels in the second quarter. As of June, about 9.1% of outstanding credit card debt was in some stage of delinquency, up from 8.5% the previous quarter.
The rise in credit card usage and debt is particularly concerning because interest rates are astronomically high right now. The average credit card annual percentage rate (APR) hit a new record of 20.73% last week, according to a Bankrate database that goes back to 1985. The previous record was 19% in July 1991.
Of course it isn’t just millions of consumers that have reached a breaking point.
Over the past year, business bankruptcy filings are up 40.3 percent, and have now reached a number not seen since the second quarter of 2020, at the peak of lockdowns. American households are following along, with total bankruptcy filings up 16.2 percent in the past year, including 132,710 new filings in the second quarter of 2024 alone.
A 40 percent increase in one year is quite serious.
And every day even more businesses are going belly up. Here is one of the latest examples…
A popular Italian restaurant chain has filed for bankruptcy – just days after it abruptly shut 13 underperforming locations across the US.
Court documents filed just before midnight on Sunday show Buca di Beppo owes as much as $50million – yet has assets of under $50,000.
Last week, the chain – known for its family-style dishes and vintage décor – permanently closed restaurants in California and Florida. It also shut its last remaining locations in Michigan and Pennsylvania.
It is a horror show out there.
According to the Sahm rule, a new recession is now upon us.
But if Donald Trump is correct, something even worse is looming.
Unfortunately, most people just don’t get it.
If people really understood what is on the horizon, they would be behaving very differently.
Most of the population is still convinced that things will turn out just fine somehow, and for the moment ignorance is bliss.
What in the world was Kamala Harris thinking? There is a reason why the Trump campaign is so giddy right now. Kamala Harris could have had Josh Shapiro, but instead she picked Tim Walz. When I wrote that “Kamala Harris has a tendency to really mess things up”, I was not exaggerating one bit. This election is going to be decided by the swing states, and the most critical swing state by far is Pennsylvania. Whoever wins Pennsylvania is almost certainly going to win the presidency. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro has a 61 percent favorability rating in his state, and so he was seemingly the obvious pick. The following comes from CNN…
Pennsylvania, on the other hand, is almost certainly a must-win state for Harris if she wants to be president. In fact, it is probably the most important swing state this cycle, and the polling there has been very tight.
Shapiro currently holds a 61% favorable rating in Pennsylvania and outperformed Biden’s 2020 baseline by 14 points in 2022.
Whether that would have been enough to propel a Harris-Shapiro ticket in Pennsylvania this fall is a question mark, though political science literature suggests it very well could have.
If the loss of Pennsylvania ends up costing the Democrats the White House, many on the left will be absolutely furious with Kamala Harris for making such a bone-headed choice.
When Donald Trump learned that Harris had picked Walz, he issued a two word response…
Trump took to Truth Social to deliver a two-word response to Harris’ choice of running mate.
Shapiro has been a staunch supporter of Israel for decades, dating back to his high school and college days when he wrote for a student newspaper at the University of Rochester. One opinion piece, titled “Peace Not Possible”, resurfaced in a newspaper last month.
“Palestinians will not coexist peacefully,” Shapiro wrote. “They do not have the capabilities to establish their own homeland and make it successful even with the aid of Israel and the United States. They are too battle-minded to be able to establish a peaceful homeland of their own.”
In that article, Shapiro also said he had previously served as a volunteer in the Israeli army.
There was apparently concern that having Shapiro on the ticket could cost Harris the state of Michigan if too many Muslims stayed home and didn’t vote.
With Walz on the ticket, that isn’t likely to be an issue.
But if Harris doesn’t win Pennsylvania there is probably no path to victory for her.
Of course there is no going back now.
Harris has made her choice, and everyone is going to have to live with it.
The following are 7 things that you should know about Tim Walz…
#1 In 2020, Walz presided over the BLM riots that resulted in large portions of Minneapolis being burned to the ground…
Walz is a radical leftist who presided over the George Floyd riots in 2020 and ignored cries from across the state. Instead, he stated that “a society that does not put equity and inclusion first will come to this result.”
He even mocked Minnesota national guardsmen as a bunch of ’19-year-old cooks” when asked why he rejected Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey’s request to send them to the city.
#2 Minnesota became a “sanctuary state” under Walz, and he has made sure that migrants are eligible for all sorts of free goodies…
As governor, Walz also has signed several pieces of legislation to provide state-funded health care, driver’s licenses and free college tuition to illegal migrants.
“Ensuring drivers in our state are licensed and carry insurance makes the roads safer for all Minnesotans,” Walz said in 2023 after signing the bill to allow thousands of illegal migrants in his state with driver’s licenses.
Kamala Haris’ progressive running mate, Gov. Tim Walz, helped to transform Minnesota into a “trans refuge” state — signing legislation to protect gender-affirming care and to provide tampons in boys’ bathrooms at schools.
Walz, 60, a former high school teacher, signed the so-called “Trans Refuge” bill into law in April 2023, prohibiting the enforcement of out-of-state subpoenas, arrest warrants and extradition requests for people who travel to the North Star State from other states for gender-affirming care.
#4 The bill that Walz signed into law in April 2023 also allows Minnesota authorities to take children from any parents that try to prevent their kids from getting sex change surgeries…
Vice President Kamala Harris’ newly announced running mate — Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz — signed a bill in April of 2023 allowing the state to make custody determinations if a child is denied access to sex-change procedures.
The “Trans Refuge Bill” allows for “temporary emergency jurisdiction” if a parent denies their child sex-change procedures, according to the bill’s text. The bill defines the interventions, which include sex-changes, hormone replacement and cosmetic surgeries, as “medically necessary” so long as it “respects the gender identity of the patient, as experienced and defined” by the child.
#5 It is being alleged that Walz quit the National Guard after he learned that his unit would be deployed to Iraq…
Veterans have accused Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz of “embellishing” his military career and abandoning his National Guard battalion, highlighting that the now-vice presidential pick for the Democrats never served in combat and retired from service ahead of his unit’s 2005 deployment to Iraq.
In a letter posted to Facebook in 2018 as he first ran for governor, retired Command Sergeants Major Thomas Behrends and Paul Herr said Walz retired from his 24-year tenure in the National Guard after learning that his battalion would be deployed to Iraq, despite allegedly assuring his fellow troops he would join them.
#6 Many people don’t realize this, but Walz actually considers himself to be a Lutheran…
More specifically, he sometimes describes himself as a “Minnesota Lutheran.” “Because we’re good Minnesota Lutherans, we have a rule: if you do something good and talk about it, it no longer counts,” Walz joked during a speech last spring. “So what you have to do is to get someone else to talk about you.”
Walz, 60, went to China straight after college through a program set up by Harvard University and taught in Guangdong province, shortly after the Tiananmen Square massacre in Beijing in 1989.
He would later honeymoon in China with his wife Gwen, bringing a group of 60 young people with them
In the 1990s the couple set up a business which took high school students to China every summer for around a decade.
Walz has been to China dozens of times, including on trade missions, and has called his experiences there ‘amazing’.
The Harris/Walz ticket is the most liberal presidential ticket that we have ever seen.
From a tactical point of view, I don’t think that this is a smart move by the Democrats.
But we shall see what happens.
This is definitely going to be a close election, and whichever side loses is going to be extremely upset.
I collected together a few stories that show some of the past actions of the two members of the Democrat party presidential ticket. Some of these you may already know, and some may be new to you. The appeal of the ticket is surface-level. Kamala is so brown and female, and Tim Walz is so nice. This is interesting to some people, but more interesting to me is what policies I would have to live under.
Here’s a couple of articles about the vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, who is the current governor of Minnesota.
Walz… came under scrutiny over his response to both the coronavirus pandemic and riots in the wake of the death of George Floyd, who was killed by a Minneapolis police officer in May 2020.
Walz waited days after riots in Minneapolis to call in the National Guard. By then, anti-police protesters had burned down a police station in Minneapolis and caused $500 million in damage.
Walz signed a bill last year to restore voting rights to 55,000 convicted felons in Minnesota as part of an initiative to “expand the right to vote.” And Walz signed a bill last year to provide free college and health care to illegal immigrants, even as he raised taxes on gasoline, cars, retail deliveries, and other items.

Minnesota Republicans also singled out Walz for mishandling coronavirus funds that sent $250 million to a nonprofit group Feeding Our Future, ignoring warning signs that the organization was mishandling the funds.
The organization was using the funds for luxury cars, jewelry, travel and property, according to reports, while only using a small portion of the money from the federal government for feeding children.
At the time, Republicans blamed Walz for failing basic oversight and continuing to allow the non-profit to receive funds.
The Minnesota Department of Education flagged serious concerns about the group in 2018, but failed to address them, and gave even more funding to the organization.
As thousands of BLM rioters who burned down half of Minneapolis remain out of jail, and as a record number of criminals remain on the streets, a business owner is now sitting in de facto solitary confinement for 90 days for the crime of having her restaurant open during the illegal lockdowns.
Business owners go to jail, but rioters and arsonists get released. Also during COVID, Walz set up an anonymous snitch hotline so that progressives could report their conservative neighbors for non-compliance. Is that the sort of country you want to live in?

Minnesota Democrats are poised to ignore the at least 69 percent of Americans who say they want significant limits on abortion to pass the state’s most radical abortion bill, which would legalize taxpayer-funded on-demand abortion for all.
The Protect Reproductive Options Act (PROA), the first bill Democrats introduced in both the state House and Senate this session, would repeal dozens of the state’s protections for women and babies and expand legal immunity for abortions up until the moment of birth and beyond.
Speaking of the abortion issue, lets’ move on to the Democrat presidential nominee, Kamala Harris.
Kamala Harris stands accused of “weaponizing” the California Attorney General’s office against a pro-life activist who alleges he was exposing the illegal sale of aborted fetuses.
David Daleiden, whose nine-year legal saga instigated by Harris is still ongoing, released shocking undercover videos he took of Planned Parenthood executives discussing fees and prices for fetal tissues in July 2015.
He now faces eight felony charges and possible jail time for making the videos without getting the executives’ permission to film them, as well as “manufacturing” a fake driving license.
Daleiden’s lawyers say it’s one of the first times the California AG’s office has ever undertaken a stand-alone prosecution involving the state’s video-recording law.
His lawyers, who include Steve Cooley, Los Angeles’s second-longest serving DA, contend Harris — who served as California Attorney General from 2011 to 2017 — singled him out to do the bidding of Planned Parenthood, who have contributed heavily to her campaigns for office.
“What Kamala Harris did was unconstitutional and vindictive,” Cooley told The Post. “It was a selective prosecution for huge donors.
“Kamala Harris opened this investigation at the behest of Planned Parenthood and the two AGs that followed her have kept it alive.”
That one is particularly important for me, because I already have concerns about federal law enforcement singling out Christians and social conservatives, while they let real criminals and terrorists get a free ride. This would likely get worse under a Harris presidency.
And of course there is her record as the person responsible for securing the Southern border.
“The fact is she has a long track record of opposing border security and immigration enforcement, whether as a senator, a presidential candidate, or as Joe Biden’s ‘border czar,’” Rep. Mark Green, R-Tenn., chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, recently said on the House floor.
[…]Just over 31% of illegal aliens encountered at the nation’s borders were removed during the Trump-Pence administration, according to the National Immigration Center for Enforcement. During the Biden-Harris administration, by contrast, 4.4% of illegal aliens encountered at the borders have been removed.
Harris previously advocated “progressive” immigration policies. Most notably, during her brief run for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, she expressed support for providing government health care to illegal aliens and decriminalizing border crossings by foreign nationals.
That’s what you’re going to get on border security from a Harris-Walz presidency. Is that what you want?
Kamala’s VP pick could not be more hard-core left:
We now know that Kamala has picked Tim Walz to be her Vice-Presidential running mate. This is quite the pair. Taken together they are the most radical, progressive ticket to run for office in American history.
Just as California Senator Kamala Harris has been the most far-left American Senator, so too Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is the most far left American Governor. As one pundit put it, ‘their California dream is every American’s nightmare’.
Between the radicalism of Kamala in San Francisco and the radicalism of Walz in Minnesota, this is the dream team of the radical hyper-left. Berne Sanders approves of him – so too the far-left Squad including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC). The hardcore National Teachers’ Union fully loves him as well. On and on goes the list of fanatical supporters.
Everyone had expected that Josh Shapiro would have been the choice of Kamala. The Jewish Pennsylvania Governor had been a supporter of Israel and was in favour of school choice. Clearly, he was too Jewish for the Hamas wing of the Democrat party, and too moderate for the radicals that control the party.
They ignored the moderate Democrats and they seem intent on only pleasing the radicals and the leftists. Well, at least they have now fully declared their hand. Everyone now knows where they stand, and how radically they differ from the Republican ticket. The choice could not be starker for voters come November 5.
Tim Walz
The Governor is 60 years old. Kamala is 59. Together they have 119 years on them. If critics claim Trump is too old at 78 (hey, they did not mind Sleepy Joe at 81), Vance is 39, making their team 117 years! So I am not sure how age should be seen as a factor here.
He was elected as Governor of Minnesota in 2018, and again in 2022. He is in every respect a far left liberal. Here are just some bullet points as to the man, his positions, and his track record. As with Kamala, had he has said and what he has done tells us all we need to know. Consider these points:
He supports sanctuary states and sanctuary cities for illegals.
He fully supports illegal immigration.
He gave illegal aliens drivers licenses, free health care access, free tuition, and so on.
He said that if Trump builds 25-foot walls on the southern border, he would produce 30-foot ladders for those wanting to illegally enter America.
He fully supports the radical and woke sexual agendas.
He pushed sex-change operations for children – regardless of parental consent.
He even forced schools to have tampons in boy’s fourth grade bathrooms.
He of course loves Communist China.
He visited China over 30 times! He even went there to teach earlier on.
He married on the eve of the Tiananmen Square massacre, and then honeymooned there!
He is a self-professed socialist. He says socialism just means being “neighbourly”!
He is fully pro BLM (Black Lives matter).
He allowed rioting, looting and arson in the cities in the summer of 2020 – Minneapolis especially.
He blamed the riots on a lack of “equity” and “inclusion”.
He allowed police stations to be burned down.
He called the rioting and destruction “large peaceful protests”.
He supported the rioting while Kamala worked to get the rioters out on bail.
The Minneapolis leftist mayor had begged Walz to bring in the National Guard to stop the destruction of the city, but he had to wait five days before Walz finally acted. But by then it was too late of course – the damage was done.
He was in favour of defunding the police.
His weak-on-crime policies have meant the state has seen crime rates soar.
Crime in Minneapolis in now higher than the national average.
He has said he thinks the Minnesota state flag is racist!
He also did care for national historical figures. For example, he did nothing to stop statues of Columbus being toppled.
He opposed reliable energy moving into Minnesota, wanting to ban fracking and fossil fuels.
He of course supports abortion up to birth.
He has a 100 per cent rating from Planned Parenthood.
During the Covid wars he pushed some of the most hardcore mandates and lockdowns in the nation.
He created a Covid snitch line so people could report on their neighbours for not being compliant and servile citizens.
He even bribed teenagers with promises of scholarships if they got the jab.
This is just a partial record of this hyper-leftist. So for Kamala to team up with Walz, we really do have the most radical, the most “progressive,” and the most dangerous pair seeking to run for the top job in American history.
