Dear Father,
I come to You today, leaning into Your arms like a child seeking comfort.
Your Word in Psalm 91 speaks directly to my heart, reminding me that You are my safe place, my sanctuary. I need You so much, Lord.
When I feel afraid or uncertain, I hear Your whisper, “Come, rest in My shadow.”
And so, I come to You, laying down my fears and doubts at Your feet. I know that under Your wings, I am protected, loved, and held close.
You are my refuge, my hiding place. I say with all my heart, “Lord, You are my God, and I trust You completely.”
I don’t just say these words; I feel them deep within my soul. I know You are with me, even when the world feels overwhelming.
I need Your protection, Lord, not just from the dangers I can see, but from the ones I can’t.
When the nights are long, and the worries start to creep in, I cling to Your promise: “You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day.”These words are like a balm to my anxious heart.
Hold me close, Father. Let me feel Your presence surrounding me like a shield.
When the world feels too heavy, let me find peace in knowing that You are in control.
I trust You to cover me, to keep me safe, and to calm my restless spirit.
You’ve said that “a thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.”
I hold onto this with everything I have. When life feels like a battlefield, I stand firm, knowing that You are my protector, my shield, my everything.
Thank You, Lord, for sending Your angels to guard me. I know they are here, watching over me, guiding me through each step I take.
Your love is my fortress, and I am secure in You.
Let Your peace wash over me, filling every corner of my heart with Your gentle presence.
I need You, Lord, more than anything else. Keep me close to You, always.
In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
Psalm 91 Prayer

Ver. 12. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.—Plenary absolution:—
The doctrine of forgiving love is one of those necessaries of daily life, of which we may say that however frequently it be set before you, you would not tire of it. Therefore, in the simplest manner, we would speak of the great Gospel truth of the forgiveness of sins. Now, in our text which tells of it, notice—
I. The word of peculiarity. It is not all men who can say, “As far as … from us.” They are a specific people who can say this: they have felt the chidings of God in their conscience,—hence they say, “He will not always chide.” And they have been humbled into contrition, repentance and confession; hence they say, “Neither will He keep His anger for ever.” But they have tasted of God’s surprising mercy which baffles all human thought, and excites the adoring wonder of all who receive it, and hence come the words of our text. Can we all say them?
II. The word of positiveness. The psalmist does not indulge in vague hopes or fond wishes, but he declares that God “hath removed” our transgressions from us. He is quite sure about it. It is an actual fact. Now, there are many who think that we never can know in this world that we are forgiven. They are taught to go on asking for pardon as if they had never received it. But we are forgiven. Pardon is a fact, and there is nothing more sure to believers than this. It is far more presumptuous to pay respect to our own misgivings than to believe what God has so plainly said. How wretched it must be not to know: how can a man do anything whilst he is in doubt about whether he is forgiven? And we can be sure, for we have the plain word of God. Not the evidence of sense, for that may often deceive: and still more may feeling. But we have the evidence of God’s word. If I have trusted my soul with Jesus, then I am forgiven, and our text is true of me. And over and above the written word, God gives to believers the inward witness in the deep peace they feel in their souls. They may not be able to fix the date when they were forgiven, but whenever they look to the Cross and see the incarnate God bleeding thereon, they get a renewed assurance of complete absolution. Some love always to gaze upon their crucified Lord, as if they had never before looked upon Him. They stand and kiss those bleeding feet and look up to that dear face bedewed with drops of grief and that dear brow crowned with thorns, and say, “Thou art my Saviour! Dear lover of my soul, I rest in Thee.” Happy are they who can thus stand at the Cross.
III. Note the comprehensiveness of our text. I do not find any list of sins here. Only these two words, “our transgressions.” I am not skilful in matters of common law, but I remember hearing a lawyer make this remark about a man’s will, that if he were about to leave all his property to some one person, it would be better not to make a recapitulation of all that he had, but merely to state that he bequeathed all to his legatee, without giving a list of the goods and chattels, because in so doing he would be sure to leave some of them out. In one instance, a farmer who desired his wife to have all, recounted, as he thought, all his property; but he actually omitted to mention his largest farm and the very house in which they lived. Thus his attempt to be very particular failed, and his wife lost a large part of the property. Let us be thankful, then, that in our text God speaks in this broad way which takes in the whole compass of enumeration. “Our transgressions”—that sweeps them away all at once. Like as the Israelites saw with joy all their enemies dead upon the sea-shore. Not one of them left. Well might Miriam dance and sing.
IV. The perfection, the absolute perfection of the pardon. “As far as the east is from the west.” Who can tell how far that is? Not any distance measurable on this earth, or in our solar system. It is just infinite distance. That is how far God hath removed from us our sins. Some think that after men are pardoned they may yet go to hell. It does not seem to me worthy of a God or even a man. Poor is that pardon which may be followed by eternal torment. I have heard of the Duke of Alva pardoning a man, and then hanging him; but to think that God should do this! And God means by our text that He has forgotten our sins, so far has He put them away. “Your sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” Note—
V. The ray of divinity, full of hope for us, in our text. It is God that thus forgives. God is the great remover of sin. No priest can do this, God alone.
VI. Its touch of personality. Our sins are removed not only from Himself, but “from us.” I sometimes see believers troubling themselves as if all their sins were laid up in an iron safe in some part of the Lord’s house. It is not so. They are all gone. See Zechariah’s vision of Joshua the priest. We moan and fret ourselves about what does not exist. I saw two men yesterday handcuffed to be taken off to prison. But suppose I had walked behind them, with my wrists close together, and had never opened my hands, nor stirred them, and said, “Alas! I committed, years ago, some wrong, and had handcuffs put upon me.” You would naturally says, “Well, but are they not taken off?” And I reply, “Yes, I have heard they are, but somehow, through habit, I go about as if I had them on.” Would not every one say, “The man’s insane”? But this is what we too often do as to our sins. (C. H. Spurgeon.)
The believer separated from his sins:—
I. In what respects? He is separated from his sins as regards—
1. The sentence they procured—the sentence of death. What this sentence implies. How was it removed?
2. The power they wielded—that is, their reigning power. “Sin shall not have dominion over you.”
3. The alienation they caused. From God, hence from His favour, family, fellowship, kingdom.
4. The prospect they commanded. Of wrath to come, of exclusion from heaven, of endless destruction.
II. To what distance? “As far as the east is from the west”—one side of infinite space from the other—infinity intervenes.
1. An infinity of merit intervenes—the atoning merit of Christ’s sacrifice intervenes. What? How?
2. An infinity of rectitude intervenes—the rectitude of the Divine nature.
3. An infinity of faithfulness intervenes—God’s faithfulness to His word, covenant, purpose.
4. An infinity of love intervenes—God’s love, which is infinite, eternal, unchangeable, sovereign. All these infinities must be exhausted and cease to exist before his sins can be reunited to the believer. Learn—
(1) That separation from sin is necessary to admission into heaven. “There shall in nowise,” etc.
(2) That the separation here described is the work of God—of His grace, righteousness, word, spirit.
(3) That separation from sin requires active exertion on our part. “Work out,” etc.
(4) That the separation we have been considering is the privilege of only true believers. (N. Macdonald.)
No Eastern or Western poles:—
The distance from north to south is measurable. In every sphere there are north and south poles—both fixed points; and on the earth the distance between them is about twelve thousand miles. So that had the psalmist said, “As far as the north is from the south,” our conceptions would have been thus limited. It is otherwise with the east and the west. There are no eastern and western poles. From every point alike in the circuit of the world, the east extends in one direction, the west in the other. Thus, the traveller westward, for example, might be said to be for ever chasing the west without coming nearer to it. The psalmist himself might not have known this astronomical fact; yet, regarding his words as dictated by the Spirit of God, we are surely permitted to read them in the light of modern science, and so to discern in them the most forcible illustration that can be imagined of the illimitable distance to which God has removed the iniquities of His people. (Cyclop. of Nature Teachings.)
Forgiveness a delightful remembrance:—
Like some black rock that heaves itself above the surface of a sun-lit sea, and the wave runs dashing over it; and the spray, as it falls down its sides, is all rainbowed and lightened; and there comes beauty into the mighty grimness of the black thing; so a man’s transgressions rear themselves up, and God’s great love, coming sweeping itself against them and over them, makes out of the sin an occasion for the flashing more brightly of the beauty of His mercy, and turns the life of the pardoned penitent into a life of which even the sin is not pain to remember. (A. Maclaren, D.D.)[1]
12. “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” O glorious verse, no word even upon the inspired page can excel it! Sin is removed from us by a miracle of love! What a load to move, and yet is it removed so far that the distance is incalculable. Fly as far as the wing of imagination can bear you, and if you journey through space eastward, you are further from the west at every beat of your wing. If sin be removed so far, then we may be sure that the scent, the trace, the very memory of it must be entirely gone. If this be the distance of its removal, there is no shade of fear of its ever being brought back again; even Satan himself could not achieve such a task. Our sins are gone, Jesus has borne them away. Far as the place of sunrise is removed from yonder west, where the sun sinks when his day’s journey is done, so far were our sins carried by our scapegoat nineteen centuries ago, and now if they be sought for, they shall not be found, yea, they shall not be, saith the Lord. Come, my soul, awaken thyself thoroughly and glorify the Lord for this richest of blessings. Hallelujah. The Lord alone could remove sin at all, and he has done it in a godlike fashion, making a final sweep of all our transgressions.[2]

TODAY’S BIBLE READING CHALLENGE:
Esther 4:1-7:10
1 Corinthians 12:1-26
Psalm 36:1-12
Proverbs 21:21-22
Esther 4:2 — Esther is a legitimate hero, but the account shows she’s a bit naive. When she sees someone with sackcloth, she seems ignorant – she doesn’t ask what’s the matter but offers new clothing. When she hears her people are going to die (Esther 4:8), her initial response is that she’s incapacitated – “I can’t do anything about it (Esther 4:11).”
Esther 4:14 — Without talking about the LORD, Mordecai (the Jew who didn’t return to Jerusalem because he possibly was too influential and partially secularized) still knew that his people would be delivered. Many people today may not recognize the divine protection of the Jewish people or why an obscure Canaanite tribe from 3,000 years ago that was virtually wiped out 2,000 years ago, has regrouped to be at least the 8th most powerful nuclear state in the world. Yes, people may not ascribe a divine reason to this, but Esther shows us that this is not mere coincidence. It’s divine providence!
Mordecai’s timeless words to Esther can be turned from a question into a declaration: “Thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this.” Has God put you in a place that you can use your title, your time, your talents, or your treasure to advance the Kingdom? Don’t be ignorant or pretend you’re incapacitated. You have been placed where you are for such a time as this!
Esther 5:3 — The fearful Esther was offered half of the kingdom!
Esther 5:14 — Speaking of Providence, the very day that Haman was going to ask Mordecai to be hanged (Esther 6:4), the king orders Haman to honor him (Esther 6:10).
Esther 6:13 — Ah, the wise men figure out that this isn’t going well. But Haman is too committed to back out now. Haman decided to hang in there, and he was soon hanged (Esther 7:10)!
1 Corinthians 12:3 — Paul has to start out with the very basics of discernment!
1 Corinthians 12:18 — Contentment … God may not have given you the preaching ability, the deepness in prayer, the quick wisdom, the capacity to gift millions, the ability to do works for God that everyone will sit up and take note of, but you can be content with what He has given you.
When I consider how my light is spent,
Ere half my days, in this dark world and wide,
And that one Talent which is death to hide
Lodged with me useless, though my Soul more bentTo serve therewith my Maker, and present
My true account, lest he returning chide;
“Doth God exact day-labour, light denied?”
I fondly ask. But patience, to preventThat murmur, soon replies, “God doth not need
Either man’s work or his own gifts; who best
Bear his mild yoke, they serve him best. His stateIs Kingly. Thousands at his bidding speed
And post o’er Land and Ocean without rest:
They also serve who only stand and wait.”
Psalm 36:5 — Let’s thank God for:
Proverbs 21:21 – We just read about mercy and righteousness – how they lead to the fountain of life. Whose fountain is it?

As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. (John 6:57)
We live by virtue of our union with the Son of God. As God-man Mediator, the Lord Jesus lives by the self-existent Father who has sent Him, and in the same manner we live by the Savior who has quickened us. He who is the source of our life is also the sustenance of it. Living is sustained by feeding. We must support the spiritual life by spiritual food, and that spiritual food is the Lord Jesus. Not His life, or death, or offices, or work, or word alone, but Himself, as including all these. On Jesus Himself we feed.
This is set forth to us in the Lord’s Supper, but it is actually enjoyed by us when we meditate upon our Lord, believe in Him with appropriating faith, take Him into ourselves by love, and assimilate Him by the power of the inner life. We know what it is to feed on Jesus, but we cannot speak it or write it. Our wisest course is to practice it and to do so more and more. We are entreated to eat abundantly, and it will be to our infinite profit to do so when Jesus is our meat and our drink.
Lord, I thank Thee that this, which is a necessity of my new life, is also its greatest delight. So, I do at this hour feed on Thee.

We subscribe to the Westminster Standards as our doctrinal statement. It consists of the following documents:
The Westminster Confession of Faith
The Westminster Larger Catechism
The Westminster Shorter Catechism
We also believe that Christian Worship is to be regulated and defined by God’s Word, the Bible.
Our worship services are designed to please and honor the Triune God of the Bible. We place Scripture reading and the preaching of the word of God at the center of worship along with Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. These are God’s gifts to His church and ought to always be at the center of Christian worship. We are a congregation that loves to sing God’s praises, recite His Word back to Him, and actively engage in hearing and learning from God’s Word.
We embrace and promote a comprehensive Christian world and life view.
There is no area of life which is not under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. It is to God and His law which all people, including governments and civil rulers, will answer. The Word of God embraces and informs the way we view marriage, the family, children, education, politics, worship, law, government, war, the church, missions, evangelism, and worship. In the world today there is a battle of opposing worldviews. There are basically only two positions: God’s Word and man’s ideas. We stand positively for Biblical truth and negatively against man’s ideas which are opposed to Biblical truth.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only hope for mankind.
Because all men fall short of obeying God’s law, all men everywhere are in need of divine grace and salvation from God. This salvation is found only in the Lord Jesus Christ who died for sinners, was buried, rose again, and is alive today seated at God the Father’s right hand.
We Worship God Together as Families.
We offer nursery during the morning worship service for newborns and infants but encourage people to keep as many of their children as they can with them for morning worship. The audio of the service is in the nursery via speakers. There is also a crying room with a video screen and audio of the sermon. We offer Sunday school classes for all ages, but worship together as families. We do not offer “children’s” church.
All who profess faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and are members of an evangelical church are cordially invited to participate with us in the Lord’s Supper.

“From The Patriot Post (patriotpost.us)”.
In late 2020, ‘Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden’ launched to much fanfare. These men and women championed voting for the Democrats as having the most pro-life ethic of all, certainly way more than the Republicans. Still, the group shut down ten months later, lamenting and crying foul in a fit of disappointment and betrayal after the Biden-Harirs Presidency passed a raft of pro-choice legislation.

Enter the newest iteration, Evangelicals For Harris, which is only slightly less absurd than “Queersfor Palestine” and should probably more aptly be described as “Apostates for Harris.” The group claims to represent evangelicals who are voting and advocating for the Harris/ Walz Presidency, running interference for them while seeking to downplay their radical agenda on issues like the economy, climate change, abortion entrenchment and expansion, LGBTQ promotion, destroying the nuclear family, and trans-ing the children.
In a prime example of “don’t pee on my head and tell me it’s raining,” the group puts a huge focus on Harris’ faith, insisting she is a “deeply committed Christian” despite being a living, breathing emblem of Jezebellion hubris that deeply despises Jesus, Christianity, and everything it stands for.
These folks however, most who we’ve catalogued over the years on our site, do not care. From pro-choice SBC pastor Dwight McKissic to Jemar Tisby, who championed and promoted a heretical universalist pastrix and whose org is run by pro-choice, pro-LGBTQ racist, we are wholly unsurprised by their addition and advocacy.
To that end, the group released a campaign ad featuring the late evangelist Billy Graham insisting on the importance of going to the cross and asking for forgiveness- “Lord, I have sinned. I’m sorry for my sin. I’m willing to change my way of life.”
This was then contrasted with footage of Trump from 2015 who, when asked if he had ever sought God’s forgiveness, (which we’ve criticized him for) said: “I am not sure I have. I just go on and try to do a better job from there. I don’t think so. I think if I do something wrong, I think, I just try and make it right. I don’t bring God into that picture. I don’t.”
Evangelicals for Harris also had Graham’s granddaughter, Jerusha Duford, join one of their Zoom calls, where she condemned Trump and those who propped him up as a “poster boy for godly manhood and leadership” while fialing to mention the many sins and evils of his Democratic counterpart.
The ad featuring Graham likewise prompted a response from his son, Franklin Graham, who insisted that “The liberals are using anything and everything they can to promote candidate Harris” and that “they are trying to mislead people” on account that his father was a “firm supporter of President Trump in 2016.”

NewsNation host Chris Cuomo on Friday ridiculed Vice President Kamala Harris’ skill level following a gaffe she made in her economic speech.
Harris, during the Friday afternoon speech in North Carolina, announced her plan to impose a federal ban on so-called “price gouging,” but said “gauging” instead of “gouging.” Cuomo said he doesn’t “care” about the gaffe, but suggested Harris exemplifies the lack of “talent in our politics right now.”
WATCH:
“Price gauging versus gouging, she made a mistake. We noted it … I don’t really care about gouging, gauging. I don’t care, alright? You got to take the level of talent where you find it,” Cuomo said. “We don’t have great talent in our politics right now. We got to wait for better people to want to get involved in what is such a poison process. But this is who we got.”
Harris said she would “go after the bad actors” who unethically raise prices, asserting when businesses don’t play “by the rules,” the government must “take action,” according to NBC News.
CNN anchor Julia Chatterley on Thursday said Harris’ speech was appealing to voters, but thin on details, taking aim at the vice president’s “price gouging” plan.
“I just don’t know how that federal ban is going to work. If they’re talking about directly targeting prices, it will require some form of act of Congress. Isolating how and where price gouging is taking place is very difficult. Chatterley said. “She talked about the profits of grocery stores, their margins are incredibly thin. For every dollar sale, they make profits of around one to three cents. Just try proving that their price gouging is going to be incredibly difficult beyond anything else.”
While Harris has placed blame on corporate price gouging for elevated prices, economists assert corporate behavior has not impacted rising food costs as significantly as government stimulus efforts and low interest rates imposed by the Federal Reserve, The New York Times reported.
Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell on Friday also criticized Harris’ economic plans to mitigate high prices, particularly the vice president’s “price gouging” agenda.
“Nobody can explain what price gouging means. It’s like that old line about pornography, ‘I know it when I see it,’ in the sense that what does it mean to have an excessive price or an excessive profit margin? That seems to be shorthand for, ‘A price or profit margin that bugs me,’ that seems too high,” Rampell said.
“We’ve seen this kind of thing tried in lots of other countries before: Venezuela, Argentina, the Soviet Union, etc.; it leads to shortages, it leads to black markets, plenty of uncertainty and beyond that, the specific way this bill is written might actually increase prices because of some of the other language in it,” she added. “Things like requiring companies, public companies, to disclose in their quarterly reports the quarterly earnings reports how they’re setting prices, which is a great way to help them collude, which normally we don‘t want them to do.”

The American Board of Internal Medicine last week revoked the certifications of Drs. Pierre Kory and Paul Marik, following a two-year investigation into their promotion of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine as treatments for COVID-19 and their statements questioning the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines. According to the summary of ABIM’s decision, Kory and Marik’s “statements about the safety and efficacy of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine” as treatments for COVID-19 “are false and inaccurate because they are unsupported by factual, scientifically grounded, and consensus-driven medical information.” Ivermectin has been shown to be effective. Revocation of their ABIM certification prevents them from practicing at large hospitals and academic institutions, it affects insurance payments and it affects their reputations. Another physician, Dr. Meryl Nass, said that her certification was revoked without her knowledge.
